Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Kaneohe

We went here at 430 pm on a Friday as a couple and got seated within 30 minutes. Walking in there was a weird smell like years-old mildew under the carpets. It was unbearable. Luckily we got sat on the outside part of the restaurant. The bread and appetizers were good, nothing special though. The crab dip tasted mostly like cream cheese. Both entrees were flavorless. I had the lamb papardelle and the sauce on it was just some oil. I needed a few hefty pinches of salt on top of the dish to get and semblance of flavor out of it. The roasted chicken was juicy at least, but still not an ounce of seasoning, luckily the pineapple and veggies with it had flavor. Finally, the drinks were tasty, but that is because they were mostly mixer/juice/sugar. For as expensive as they were I would expect more alcohol in them. I would save your time, money, and nostrils by going somewhere else.

Haleiwa Joe’s at Haiku Gardens is truly a gem! The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The views overlooking the gardens and mountains are breathtaking, making the whole experience unforgettable. The staff provides excellent customer service, always friendly and attentive, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. The only downside is the wait time for seating, but once you’re in, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect mix of great food, stunning scenery, and top-notch service!

This place was a gem in the jungle. I went there with a group of 6 on a weeknight. We only waited maybe 30 min before we were seated in a table. In the mean time we were able to get served drinks by a bar top table. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and was very easy to have a conversation, as it wasn't too loud. I ordered the Ceviche and the table side steak dish with a berry creme brulee desert. The table side steak with gravy smelled and tasted amazing. It was cooked a perfect med-rare per my request. The ceviche was fresh and delicious and the creme brulee had a great flavor with a nice crust. To top it all off the view and the service was top notch. Highly recommend this place.

What an amazing experience. We came early because they don't take reservations. Got here at 3:20 on a Saturday because they open at 4. We were seated in the first group as soon as they opened. Ambience and scenery is amazing! Service top notch and the food was exquisite! I had the pork Loin special and the wife had the grilled blue marlin special. Perfect cook on both. Cocktails were great. I will definitely be back for the prime rib. The price turned me off at $74.95 until I saw it come out. The cut is between 2 and 3 pounds per serving! It was enormous! The restaurant is about a half hour drive from Honolulu, so very pleasant experience all around. Don't sleep on this one!

They don't take reservations, so we had to wait about a half hour to be seated. The service was good, I only say that because the server forgot a couple of items. Maybe that was a good thing since there was so much food. The food came out pretty quick after we ordered. The prime rib is huge. The New York steak with the bourbon finish was flavorful. We were so full after dessert. Will be going again for sure.

Wow, between this and the North Shore restaurant, this place definitely has the better atmosphere and view. The menu is almost the same, but the garden and mountain backdrop make the experience extra special. They don’t take reservations, so it’s best to arrive early. I also liked that they had a separate seating area for appetizers and drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch since the wait for a group was pretty long.

Haleiwa Joe’s in Haiku is a beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery—it feels like you're dining right in the middle of a tropical garden. The views alone make it worth the visit, especially around sunset. The food is excellent. The steak is a good size and cooked just right, and the seafood is fresh and flavorful. Drinks are strong and tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive even when it's packed. It does get busy, so getting there early is a good idea since they don’t take reservations. While you wait, you can walk around the garden and enjoy the scenery. Great place for a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

The reason they get two stars is because their hot and sour soup was OK. I also ordered lettuce wraps and for close to $11 got like an ounce of beef and three tiny lettuce leaves. The meat was cold and a bit crunchy as if it had been heated and reheated. I am not going to eat anything from here again.

Good clean food, fast and friendly service. The deep fried chicken had a nice crisp to it. Reasonable prices as well.

Haven't been here in 10 yrs.!! Since the pandemic we wanted to eat where we could dine in!. Sure enough drove through Kaneohe town and stumbled on Pa Ke's Everything was delicious and hot!

Genuinely disappointed with the lack of taste, and the amount of chicken of my order Exceptional costumer service in the lobby.I don't recommend this location.

We miss eating dinner there but relish the ability to take out and drive home(8 min. drive ) Pah Ke is the only Chinese restaurant that truly reminds us of being back in Queens NYC where we use to live. We loved having two Chinatowns to go to. One in Manhattan and the other in Flushing Queens. Pah Ke fits the bill. Lately we found one special dish that is in our top three of ALL Hawaiian restaurant dishes. It’s their Sole in Black Bean Sauce. Perfectly cooked fish that flakes out in a truly moist manner. The black bean sauce is amazingly balanced. The staff has the true Aloha Spirit.

This has been a must stop whenever I've been on that side of the island for many years now. No MSG and fresh food always the best. Extensive menu but you can always ask if you have a favorite not listed. More times than not they can make it. Their duck is the best on the island! Absolutely love this place.

We were going to try the all-you-can-eat, but instead went with the chef’s choice BBQ course. It came to $95 for the two of us. The meat quality was excellent very tender and delicious! The miso soup was a bit disappointing, but everything else was very satisfying. They gave us a big portion of kimchi. Oh, and the bibimbap had a slight buttery taste to it.

Came here for some good food and was not dissatisfied! Great portions, good flavors, incredibly friendly waitress (great job Bella!) and a full stomach. The beef sukiyaki bibimbap was delicious and something I’d definitely eat again. My daughters had the garlic noodles and spring rolls and enjoyed them a lot. We’ll be back for sure!

My and my wife went there for lunch. It was my first time and I was really excited. My wife however, had been to Gyu-Kaku a few times in the past. Our server mentioned that we could eat all we wanted (based on the package we selected), but if the food were left over, we’d need to pay for it, which we found fair. The quantity was fine and we didn’t have any leftovers. However, I liked just 25% of the items we ordered and didn’t like others. Specially, it was very difficult for us to cook the meat on the grill because it kept sticking and getting burnt. We did ask our server to grease it again but that didn’t help. Overall, I’d say you can go there for a good experience but you can probably get better food somewhere else.

We love this place. They were so efficient about the vaccine mandate info gathering. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Cooking at your own table is really cool. All of the meat was so tender and flavorful. We were able to order some of our meats on the Happy Hour menu and that saved us some money. But of course, we just used it to order dessert! We highly recommend this restaurant.

I had both the 27$ and the $40 all you can eat meal. The food were fantastic, I wouldn’t order the chicken. The sauce in the red bottle is amazing. I server were delightful and the setting is pretty cool. Would recommend this place.

Gyu-Kaka is a very cozy table cook BBQ place located in the mall. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with very friendly wait staff. Our waiter CHELSEY was extremely good at her job. We ordered from the Premium menu and found that the filet mignon and the HARAMI SKIRT STEAK were our favorite. We also ordered the dumplings which were soooo good they just dissolve in your mouth. We finished our meal with the delicious matcha ice-cream. We enjoyed our dinner so much we forgot to take pictures of the food😂😂😂! We highly recommend this place! Must try!

The food here was so good I had to come back a second time! Between both visits we tried four dishes, including three of the four most popular pasta combinations. What makes this place special is the ability to build your own pasta by choosing your noodle, sauce, and toppings—or you can pick one of their signature combinations. Out of everything we tried, the absolute stars were the Morning Sauce and the Coconut Cream Sauce. Both are insanely delicious and completely addictive. Honestly, I’m not sure how much the noodle choice really changes the experience, but these sauces are unforgettable. The toppings were fine, but the sauces completely stole the show. We also had the ube cheesecake, which was excellent—definitely worth saving room for. The only dish that didn’t wow me was the braised short ribs and portobello pasta combination—good, but nothing special compared to everything else. On top of the great food, the service was just as memorable. The lady who took our order was so kind, patient, and helpful—she explained everything and answered all our questions with a smile. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in Oahu, this is a must-visit. I’m already telling all my friends about it!

10/10. The garlic shrimp ube pasta exceeded expectations … and the shrimp tails are detached …. We’re from Texas and they don’t do that at ANY PLACE…. That’s a cherry on top for us…. But I’m not a cheesecake connoisseur but the guava cheesecake was subtle and pretty decent. Customer service was amazing. No wait honestly we called when we’re 6 minutes away for the pasta and it was ready when we got there . We did go at 2:30 pm on Wednesday. Everything looked fully stocked . Glad we came here . I can tell the way this pasta is … was seasoned just enough , not salty or too much of anything . The portions were out of the …. You should share … me and my husband shared and still don’t finish .

Straight 🔥🔥🔥 Beautifully crafted dishes with unique ingredients. I love the lechon with malunggay noodles which my friend ordered 🤤🤤 and the taro noodles with mushroom, shrimp, and coconut cream sauce (#2 ordered mild spicy which was little tiny spice added) was definitely more on the savory side than the lechon pasta and also delicious. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here. Next time I will try dessert. Large selection. Beautiful food. It gets busy and they do run out of things so come early if can. One thing to note is no seating available and takeout only😊

There is no seating and there is a bit of a long wait time to get the food. We liked the short ribs and the garlic prawns, but we didn’t really like the Lechon. The cheesecake was nice, but a bit too sweet and heavy

This food was DELICIOUS. The service was so friendly. The portion sizes are generous. I got the pineapple barbecue beef and it was to die for! The only thing I will say is that it took us a while to get our food. If you can, be sure to order ahead if you need your food quickly.

If you're just visiting Oahu, Adela's Country Eatery is the type of place that will make you want to stay forever. Yes - it is just THAT good. If you're wondering whether it's worth the drive, or the wait, or the awkwardness of calling ahead (which I recommend) - I'm here to help: it is 100% worth it. Go, meet Adela (she's real sweet!), and have an amazing meal. My family had a veritable feast with the Taro Noodles w/ Shrimp & Coconut Cream Special, Ulu Noodles w/ Garlic & Portobello Mushrooms, Ube Noodles w/ Braised Short Rib, the Lechon Mulunggay, and 4 cheesecakes (2 Ube, 2 Guava). We all shared family style and let me tell you, this was a dangerous meal - almost got stabbed with a fork many times trying to get more bites of my favorites! My favorites being the Taro/Shrimp/Coconut Cream and Ulu/Garlic/Portobello but I don't know if you can really go wrong here. Enjoy!

This is a takeout spot, no place to sit. Prices seem high, but noodles and sauces are from scratch, and portions large and filling. Had one of their popular specials, the ube noodles with lechon and garlic. 2 adults couldn't finish it. A great break from the standard plate lunch of meat n rice, yet flavors are still very Hawaiian Fast ordering, and then stand outside or grab a cold drink nearby (or browse the sex shop next door 🤫).

my wife and I ate here three times beautiful locations both restaurants and both have very polite and pleasant staff, we ate twice at Denny’s near the Zoo and were lucky enough to have Cianna as our Waitress and she is amazing and if I had a restaurant I would try and steal her. I had so many experiences at Denny’s in Waikiki. As a Korean, it was memorable because it allowed me to experience American local culture and flavors.

We came here 10 years ago it was great, and then 6 years ago not so great, and this time was horrible we were hoping it would be better by now. Then they expect a tip and get annoyed. You asking for one has prompted this review they are voluntarily - I’m sorry but it’s your boss who pays you not customers we pay for the food, you can’t expect us to pay premium prices for a meal and then more ontop when you don’t even have the menu in stock or ran out (so after years waiting to eat Denny’s u don’t have the menu meal) It means bad management. Ended with this, but is this Toasted really?

We love this place! We stay at the Imperial on Lewers so this is right off the lobby. The staff are wonderful! The waitress we always have calls all the women "My Lady" and the men "Boss". She is so funny. Yesterday I had the Grandslamwich and it was excellent and my husband had the French toast, also very good. In addition we shared a slice of fresh papya and I had the ice coffee. Both were delicious. They do get busy so if you have to wait a bit, it's worth it.

Best Denny’s on Oahu and compared to others in the country. So much aloha. Myra was our server and she was so kind, patient, and delightful. Never a moment of waiting besides the food. She is so attentive to every single table she serves. Great job, Denny’s Waikiki. Mahalo for the best service!

I felt like a basic burger and fries for a reasonable price, and Denny's fit the bill. Easy coke refills, too. The waitress is very friendly (I remembered her from a previous visit 2 years ago!). Gave her a nice tip😉

It's Denny's. All the same menu items you'd typically get at any other Denny's, but this one is the best in my opinion. It's right across from the zoo, and right next to the hotels. My family and I enjoy walking there to eat breakfast during our trips. The staff are friendly and helpful. I believe they're open 24hrs. That's about all I can say... It's a Denny's.

Found this little hometown diner while looking for lunch on our way to the Polynesian Culture Center. The atmosphere was your typical hometown restaurant vibe with local diners and Christmas music and decor. The service was mixed. Very fast to seat us, take our order and bring our food. And the guy who took our drink order and cleared the table was very friendly. The server who took our order and brought our food may have been having a bad day but she seemed annoyed with our questions about the menu. They wouldn’t let us put Ube pancakes with our combo plate and said we would have to order a separate short stack if we wanted to try them. She seemed irritated when we asked for a bit of extra dressing as well. The prices were typical for other places we have been on Oahu. They did have a good variety on their menu. The food was good. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and the blueberries were plentiful. The portions were good for the pancakes (3 large) but pretty small amount of Spam and eggs for the price. The chef salad was delicious but also pretty small for the price. Overall I’d still recommend them if you want a local favorite.

This restaurant has become a local favorite, so I was excited to visit and see if their breakfast lived up to the hype. As is often the case in Hawaiʻi, the breakfast portions are generous and feel more like a full brunch. Parking Finding a parking spot proved to be a bit of a challenge right outside the restaurant, but we found plenty of street parking just a block away. We were seated within a few minutes and were immediately impressed by how attentive the staff was. Our host quickly cleared and bussed a table for us, and our drink orders were taken right away. Drinks We ordered two green teas, and our server made sure our mugs were always full. While the service was great, I was a little disappointed to see that they used a generic Kirkland brand tea. It would be a nice touch to see a local tea purveyor on the menu to further elevate the dining experience. Food I've dedicated my life to cooking, so I'm a stickler when it comes to ordering. I wanted to try what I thought were the most notable dishes on the menu: the crab cake benedict and the ube pancakes. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes, and both plates were beautifully presented. The crab cake benedict was a delicious take on a French classic, with a Hawaiian twist. The flavors were mostly on point; however, the hollandaise was a little more sour than I would have liked. The potatoes were served hot, but I thought the crab cake could have been a little crispier to add more texture to the dish. The ube pancakes were nice to see . The vibrant purple hue of the pancakes and ube butter was impressive, topped with a delicate dusting of powdered sugar. As a professional, I know that ube, a purple yam, is most interesting for its texture and color. While the presentation was great, the flavor was average and overshadowed by the powerful color. Overall experience Our dining experience was swift and efficient. The two servers and one host worked together to run the entire dining room, and we were presented with our check soon after we finished eating. For $51 plus tip, it was a fair price for a good meal and great service. Overall, this restaurant offers a satisfying meal with quick and attentive service. While there were a few minor details in the food that could be improved, the experience was pleasant and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a hearty brunch.

Great place for breakfast. Tasty food, really good service, prices are just a tad high. Parking is tough, not a lot of spaces, but if you can get one you will have a great meal!

Came across this jewel by chance! I can't believe how good the food, service and old Hawaii feel this place offers. It is hard to find a Monte Cristo, let alone a good one. It did not disappoint. The vinha d'alhos was over the top! I'll be making a trip from town at least once a month!

Great local style food! Portions are a good size, and prices are good for what you get. Their ahi cakes have raving reviews but I was a little underwhelmed. Don’t get me wrong, they are good but not as good as I was expecting. Their fries are good and the teri beef is super good! Highly recommend the beef. Quick service. Will be back!

This place is what was featured in Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It truly has ono local food. In this pic is one of the occasional specials known as Ahi Belly. I get it every other time I'm there. It has a great buttery taste that makes me want to go back for more. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and there is plenty of seating for families and groups of friends.

Dean's Drive Inn has great food. This no frills restaurant is popular with the locals & Guy Fieri has featured it on Diners, Drive-Inns & Dives. My Loco Moco was "broke da mouth" good. Everyone at our table raved about how good their food was, so you know we will be back.

Deans is one of our family go tos when i dont feel like cooking. And that drive thru window makes it as easy as 1 2 3. The food is amazingly flavorful and the daily specials are a happy surprise.

Got the surf and turf. Everything was tasty. Limited parking. Dine in. Drive through or dine in.

It was good. I tried the loco moco. The meat patty is well-done, so it is thoroughly cooked. They do not allow people to dine-in so I had to eat outside in front of the building. It's best to call ahead and place your order before pick up. Time is limited to specific hours for lunch (11:00 am to 2:30 pm). There is also limited parking. It seems to busy during lunch hours, people seem to stop by, pick up their meals, and then leave.

Great atmosphere and vibe, for sure! Covered Patio has best tables. Chicken Parmesan was served over noodles with basil butter but was too dry overall. Express spaghetti was tasty and larger portion than expected. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.

We visited Zia’s Caffe right after it opened on October 14, and it was one of the best meals we had in Hawaii! The food was absolutely delicious, and the waiter was incredibly kind and professional — you could really feel how proud he was of his work. As visitors from Asia, we’re not very familiar with the tipping culture, so I wasn’t sure if my tip went through properly, and it’s been on my mind ever since. Honestly, this is the kind of restaurant where I’d be happy to give a 100% tip — it was that good!

10/10!! Amazing food and super friendly staff. Beautiful paintings from local artists decorate the place. Best Italian i’ve had in a long time!! Also they offer a military discount which was great!!

We had their gluten-free pizza cheese with mushrooms and then the margarita pizza regular crust. Both very good. Excellent service. Very friendly and prompt. The desserts were exceptional and moved the needle for me from 4 to 5. I had the peach recipe for the bread pudding. Will definitely return to try her other recipes. It's that's good. And we eat a lot of bread pudding home-made from our hometown and travels.

We had the Vegetarian pizza and brownie The pizza was amazing, the pesto sauce was simply yumm and the crust had an amazing crunch to it. The brownie texture was so soft and homemade, it came with vanilla gelato which was very smooth and refreshing. The vibe is lovely too, with the views of the mountains while eating.

This place couldn’t be better in every way! May husband and I had our anniversary here after my daughter was born and it was like a first date. One of the most perfect dates ever. Wine is excellent, food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful. The day of our anniversary we got there a bit late and people were leaving but the staff kept the restaurant open until we left letting us enjoy our anniversary. I cried because that kind of kindness is rare. This restaurant is a gem and must for anyone wanting those special moments.

We have found our favorite restaurant on the island. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere is a great combination of island and Italian. The service? Chef's kiss. And Rachel Y makes the absolute BEST old fashioneds!!!!

Where do I start? The spot itself is dirty, poorly lit, falling apart, ants everywhere, and HOT. We were dripping in sweat the entire time. Was the AC even on, or is the owner trying to $kimp on that, too? It was so uncomfortably hot. Or maybe it was just our body reacting to the horrible food. We ordered four dishes and ended up only eating about 1/3 of them because our stomachs couldn’t handle it anymore. The chips were stale. The ribeye steak was not only tiny (maybe 5 oz) but so chewy and bland… oh, and it cost over $30!!! The chimichanga was too salty. The beef quesadilla was way too seasoned and greasy. The nachos were probably the worst, a plate full of fried stale tortillas dripping in oil with maybe a handful of toppings. I get everything is expensive in Hawaii, but this place is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food and lack of AC you’re getting. I’m kicking my butt for craving nachos because it ended up costing us over $100 and a sick belly. We made it home just in time to run to the bathroom (after stopping at Adela’s for a cheesecake). I think we were charged for the ants all over our napkins too… Disclaimer: I’m Mexican, but I really like Mexican American food. Avoid this place. If you’re in Kaneohe and have over $100 to spend on dinner, try Haleiwa Joes instead. You won’t be disappointed.

It looks like very small from outside but is spacious inside. Really liked the steak. It was a little salty. Other than that, it was great. A big size and affordable price. Service was good. Interior makes you feel like you are in Mexico. Mexican music, Mexican design, and style will welcome you. Food comes to your table faster than McDonald's or KFC. But not enough parking vene though it was free. Overall, it was a good experience. The tip starts from 15%.

The ceviche used to be some of the best we've ever had from around the world. Guacamole was top notch, too! This new place/name is missing the mark terribly. Can't even compare & won't go back.

I thought it was decent but overpriced for what it was, in my opinion. I know the economy is rough, and it's not on the mainland. I'm from the Chicagoland suburban area. The latin fare there is on another level for half the price.

Now called Javi’s. Food was great! The waitress was super nice and attentive. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh. I wish the queso dip wasn’t over $12, but the other dishes are reasonably priced. BYOB at the moment until they get their liquor license. There’s a market next door that might have alcoholic beverages. There’s parking lot is a little cramped, so massive trucks would be hard to park in there.

Authentic Mexican food, with authentic decoration, Marcelo the chef is from Mexico and he knows what he's doing, outstanding customer service, very likable and professional, she remembered my choice of soda after my first visit a week later, food gets to your table faster than any other place, it taste amazing, and the sizes are more than you'll eat! The chimichanga and the fajitas are amazing but the campeon burrito is something else, you'll eat only half and tahe the other half home! Oh and did i say chips and salsa are free? This is the best salsa i tried in the island, and it is the most affordable place you'll find!.

After a day of food trucks, it was nice to go to a comfortable and clean sit down restaurant with a pleasant bathroom and tables to sit at. The horchata was yummy, as well as the chips & salsa. The food was solid; however, everything seemed to lack seasoning, which made it hard to enjoy. Our friend, who is Mexican, was very disappointed that it lacked the “certain Mexican flavors you can count on.” I got three seafood tacos: crab, fish & shrimp. They were good, but bland. My husband and friend got the Carné Asada and it actually came out looking like a fatty steak, not a good steak-definitely not what we would expect. We also ordered the guacamole and it was pretty much the same; it was good, but bland. So, would I recommend El Mariachi? Yes, I would, especially if you’re just wanting a solid place to eat that is not fast food or a food truck; one where you can be comfortable and relax for a bit. The food is safe; you won’t have to worry about food poisoning. The food will satisfy and fill you up.

Fantastic experience at Kin Wah Chop Suey! The service was quick and attentive, they offered tea, and the food was very fresh and delicious. One of the best Chinese restaurant I’ve had in Oahu highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. This was the first Chinese restaurant I’ve visited where the food quality was notably poor. The chicken and broccoli with brown sauce tasted old and unappealing, and the Kung Pao chicken was not only poorly prepared but also bore little resemblance to a traditional Kung Pao dish. The honey garlic chicken was below average, and the fried rice was equally underwhelming. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. FYI, the photo below is supposed to be kung pao chicken, never have I seen Kung Pao Chicken look like this..

Excellent old school Cantonese food. Clean and friendly workers. Portions are large. You will not leave here hungry. The place has been here like forever! My go to place for Chinese food on the windward side of Oahu. Recommend.

First the parking is slim. Second it's very loud & filthy. Third the food was nasty & cold. We ordered sweet & sour pork that looked & tasted stale from sitting in freezer long time. It mostly consisted of just thick crust sitting on top of sauce with cold canned pineapple on top. The chow mein was drenched in sweet gravy. Basically pre made processed junk food. It's been awhile since we've been out to eat because restaurants are just no good anymore. We're done going out. I miss the whole experience but it's just not worth the $ anymore.

Food was definitely good, but light on the meat and veggies and heavy on the noodles for the cost. The sauces on the noodles were good and made up some for the less than optimal ratios.

I was in Hawaii for 30 days and I must have ate here nearly twice a week. I really wish I discovered this place earlier. I am from the Bay area, so I live near Oakland and SF Chinatown. The food here at Kin Wah is far superior than anything I can get back at home. I know it sounds crazy, but Chinese food hasn't been the same for the last 10 years plus here in the Bay area. The Chow Fun at Kin Wah reminds me of my childhood. Hands down the best Chinese food I've had in a while. Top picks: Beef Chow Fun with black bean sauce Dry style, Won ton with Chili Green Onion and Ginger sauce and Peking duck with buns. Prices are very reasonable (especially when you compare to Bay area prices). The Owners and workers are all very nice. I wanted to give a shout out to Lisa and Jay, thank you for creating a great dining experience for me. I will be back next year.

Wonderful food. The flavors were so authentic! We had the Veggie chop suey, veggie fried rice. Chicken schzewan chicken. Service was very good. There many old Chinese people enjoying their lunch when we went there who looked like regulars. The food was light, not greasy and yummy.

I was disappointed with my experience at this nabe restaurant. From the start, the manager wasn’t that helpful in explaining the menu. Service overall was poor. When I asked for long chopsticks to cook the nabe, the server brought over a pair that were strangely wet. Even more surprising, no dipping sauces were provided with the nabe — something that’s typically essential. We had to ask for them, and were then told there were three free sauces and two you have to pay extra for. The free options (soy sauce, chili oil, sriracha) didn’t really complement the meal. As for the food, it was just okay — nothing special to make up for the lackluster service. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a good nabe experience or attentive service.

A friend wanted to have shabu shabu so we turned to friends and social media, and found this gem. ATMOSPHERE: Don't be fooled by the plain exterior. A long central hall divides the Japanese-themed room in half, one side a tatami room (no footwear and you sit on the floor on leg less chairs) which are more for big groups, the other side with tables and booths. All gas stoves are the individual portable kind. MENU: A mix of Japanese apps, shabu shabu, desserts. FOOD: Mushroom Medley This was an excellent starter dish. The mixture of enoki and other Japanese mushrooms were done in a delicious butter sauce. Yum. Avocado Maguro My spouse asked if this was a "roll" and was told yes, but it was not. It's like a pokē with chunky slices of fresh avocado and topped with white & green onions. Very fresh but we added shoyu for some flavor. Ribeye Chanko The platter comes not only with ribeye but also includes ground & diced chicken, 1 shrimp, tofu, clear noodles, aburaage, enoki & portobello mushrooms, won bok, sausage, and green onions. Chicken Chanko Chicken slices with similar additional veggies as the other chanko options. Ramen & Udon Noodles A small handful of fresh noodles completes your meal which is I guess a way to fully utilize the broths. Rice Each pot comes with only 1 bowl of rice, so we ordered extra. Brown rice is available. BROTHS: Since we had a party of 4 and 2 burners, we opted for the ginger broth and the spicy shoyu broth. I wasn't sure if I'd like the ginger broth but it's very subtle, clean, not overly gingery, marries well to the meats & veggies, and actually ended up being my favorite of the two. The spicy shoyu broth has a nice savory flavor and was spicy only if you bit on a chili flake. The broth itself wasn't spicy at all. ORDERING: The process starts with choosing your broth flavor, set (meats, veggies, etc.,) then a noodle type (ramen, udon, or zosui which is a porridge.) Your server will explain the cooking process & suggested tips for a great meal. SERVICE: Everyone we encountered were very friendly and professional. RESERVATIONS: We walked in on a Sunday around 4:30pm so there was a very minimal wait but the place was still pretty occupied. TIP: One order is more than enough for two to share. Even though the menu pictures look like small portions, you do fill up especially if you eat rice. OVERALL: Highly recommended! Awesome food, great service, and the four of us left stuffed & satisfied all for about $65. What a deal!

Don’t come to this place if you don’t want to ruin your day. Food was meh and not authentic at all. Konbu broth was literally tap water with 3 pcs of seaweeds. Service was also terrible. Would not recommend.

It was my second time eating here. The food was delicious although a little bit expensive. Regardless, I think it is at a good price. I would recommend others to dine here. The waiters and waitresses seemed a bit busy but were very nice. There is a military discount here. There are vegan options available.

Good hot Pot food here, you can choose your Combo Meal here & or order Ala Carte also. We've been to this location before, & I do enjoy coming here @Ichiriki near Ala Moana Shopping Center. Just remember to call in for a RSVP, we didn't because we are "Spur" of the moment Foodie kind of peeps here, haha. My Hubby didn't care for the Soup that much, (a lil more on the Saltier side, maybe), But I enjoyed everything from this Restaurant, Food, our Wonderful Waitress (JAIMIE!!!), she So Awesome & Nice & very informative about the Menu Selections, etc, including the Desserts we didn't order any because we were SO full from our Dinner! Lol! Other than that, please give this place a try if you've never been here before, sit down & dine-in, Relax & start Cooking your Hot Pop goodies right away :). Luckily for me, my Husband Cooks our Hot Pot food for us, cause he loves to Cook & I suck at Cooking anything, I just am not good at Cooking :D. Ordered 4 sukiyaki USDA prime beef. It is very delicious. Get to cook my own sukiyaki. Call ahead for reservations. Parking is street parking only. Service is nice. Menu has Shabu Shabu option but sukiyaki cook on the table is rare. There is no all you can eat option. Everything is a la cart.

Health meal with easy menu. Vegetable mix was fresh, the meat was okay and on a thinner side comparing to other Shabu places. Very reasonable price with good service.

Waiters are always quick with food and drink service. When my drink was getting low, the waiter noticed and came with either a refill or asked if I wanted a new drink.

Came for breakfast here in kaneohe. Hardly any wait in the morning. Got seated but the hostess gotta be more friendly...almost looked like she didn't wanna service people in a friendly way. No good morning or "Welcome to Ruby Tuesday" just.."this way please"...as for the server that waited on the table she was better. Brought our food in a efficient manner and brought us coffee and our food. Ordered strawberry waffles and fried rice and eggs with crispy bacon. Amazing taste and good coffee. Breakfast was good.... compliments to the chef.

I like the atmosphere of this place. The service is always good, very friendly staff. My go to dishes are always: Asiago Bacon Chicken (delicious, creamy, tender and juicy chicken) Grilled Salmon (generally I love Salmon) Steaks My go to sides are: Sweet Potato Fries (I LOOOVE THEM. They didn't have it when I went there a few months ago but last month they had it. I was super happy) Zucchini (goes well with everything)

Had an outstanding time at this Ruby Tuesday's location. Ever since the one in Mililani shut down, I feel like I've been missing out. This place lived up to my expectations. The salad bar was outstanding, the burger was good, the beer was cold and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back!

The salad bar was amazing as usual. The food was mediocre at best. My chicken parmesan was a bed of rigatoni with Alfredo sauce with a breaded chicken breast and marinara sauce poured in top, it was interesting. My wife's ribs were small and a little on the dry side. The bbq sauce was good.

Variety of choices. Just I’m not too into the deep fried stuffs. They have endless salads. Appetizers are good,quesadillas and nachos dips. My husband’s steak was good. My steak (mash room on top) they did over well done instead of medium well. The waitress was nice, so I didn’t complain just took it.

The Massaman Curry (no heat) was very good and the sauce would be great on rice. The mango chutney was yummy! The Red Curry was a bit salty. The staff was great and locals really like the place for carry out!

I got the Pad Thai, it was great, the service was great for takeout. I’d give this place 5 stars if I hadn’t found the chef’s hair in the food, that’s always upsetting and kills the appetite. If they’re not wearing hair nets then what else aren’t they doing, washing hands, cleaning surfaces?

It pains me to write this as I love to support local business, however we tried this place and left disappointed. We ordered 2 apps and 2 entrees. First thing, it took so long to order we almost left but we had already strapped our toddler into his high chair that we brought (they didn’t have one). Finally, our server took the entire order at once asking us how spicy we wanted our dishes, we said mild for both. The apps came out first and they were ok. The papaya salad was a little plain with no herbs but was decent. For $19 the portion was good but just plain looking. The vegetable rolls had an oil sauce to dip in that wasn’t good. I got peanut sauce on the side which was much better. My pad Thai came out and was good! Happy with it. We waited and waited for the other entree and finally asked and the server totally forgot, didn’t remember anything about ordering. We would have considered to fire it up then but everything took so long we said forget it and my partner didn’t end up eating anything. Not to mention his dish was $42– how are you doing to forget that price at a mom and pop place ??? We never go out to eat anymore as we have kids; planned to treat ourselves and it was just not a good experience. It makes me sad bc I really wanted to find a cute spot to bring visitors or get take out and we will probably never come back. Oh they did offer to give us free tapioca — so for $62 we got papaya salad a few spring rolls (small) and pad Thai

This place exceeded my expectations! I'm not a big fan of Thai food, but after trying this place, I can say that it's the only Thai restaurant I will ever eat at again. I had a little bit of everything, as my family wanted to eat family-style by sharing dishes. It was hard to pick a favorite because every dish was amazing, but since I personally ordered the pad thai noodles, I will say it was the best pad thai I've ever had. I am not kidding when I say that my toes curled when eating here because it was so good. Mina, the owner, is the sweetest! She will make you feel like family and ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your order. Highly recommend if you want an authentic dish with a homey feeling. You won't regret it!

I brought my kids here after soccer practice. My children were told that they could have free dessert which turned into a small fee which turned into a full price. I worked all day and I was extremely exhausted to receive a $100 tab was wild for some chicken, pad Thai, and green curry. Freaking wild! I felt like this place shouldn't up charge for protein options. If you order curry you should get at least one protein option. If your a vegetarian you eat cheaply here lol. It's my fault for not looking at the menu clearly but let's just say I won't be returning. Felt scammed.

My goodness, this is a fabulous Thai food restaurant in Kailua. Can it be? It is hidden, I have driven by there so often and drove right by. The garlic Seafood Medley is must try, stuffed chicken wings, the Patties were great.

I like their papaya salad, but the Tom Yum is less authentic. I think they try to make it comfortable for the locals to eat. I’m a little disappointed that the soup isn’t as as spicy as I want it to be. I also asked for their chilly sauce, and it’s surprisingly not as hot. But the soup itself is good. I also ordered mango sticky rice and it was really good.

Not a stranger to Zippys, but this location in particular is one of my favorites. The service and atmosphere are so homey and welcoming. The food always comes fast and fresh delivered with a friendly face and helpful attitude. My go-to order lately has been the chicken trio plate, can’t go wrong. Essentially three kinds of fried chicken served with some sauces and choices of sides. Very filling, crispy juicy chicken left me so satisfied until my next meal, I know I won’t leave at all hungry with this choice!

I liked the idea of trying food from a local Hawaiian chain, so I had to check out Zippys. I made sure to grab the famous Zip Pac. I liked the variety. It’s like a Hawaiian lunchbox surprise with every bite. Definitely worth the stop.

Over easy eggs were way overcooked, and both eggs together were the size of one. Corned Beef Hash was room temperature in the middle. French toast was really good, and so was the service. I was visiting with my firstborn, who had just moved to the Kaneohe side, so I was just happy to spend time with them and didn't bother bringing attention to the food. Must've caught em on an off day.

There’s no use of a “customize” button on the app when the workers don’t give a damn about your order. Disappointing to see such horrible service at this location, the kitchen workers and also the staff bagging the orders need more training to avoid consistently messing up orders. No bean chili means no bean chili, if there’s 2 orders of chili and one bowl is filled only halfway and the other bowl is full, how is that an even amount of food and a proper amount for our moneys worth? Mistakes can happen but they consistently mess our orders up, can’t continue to call the same thing a mistake forever.

Came here for a quick lunch before going to the sandbar after it was mentioned to us by our Uber driver. He said it’s not something to rave about, just a regional chain, but we thought it sounded cool! We thought it was interesting that this spot had half of a quick dining area and a sit-down area. The cashiers were super duper friendly. Saimin - This was inexpensive and quite filling! It had a good amount of noodles and the piping hot broth came separately. The fish cake and char siu were tasty. Since it seemed little, I added a chicken katsu. The cashier said she made sure to put it separately so the chicks stayed crispy. Chicken katsu - My stand-alone katsu was around $5-6 but turning it into its own combo meal with rice and mac salad is the way to go. My friend got 3 pieces for $12. We expected a dense, greasy fried food but it was actually very light and thin! It was a lot better than I expected. Its accompanying sauce is more sour than other katsu places I’ve tried. We were dying for vegetables at this point so I ate all the cabbage underneath lol. Korean fried chicken - This was delicious! The boneless pieces don’t come in medium-sized chunks. I liked their crunch. Loco moco - This was hot, flavorful, and honestly tasted better than some other places I’ve tried. The egg was fried perfectly. I wish I tried the oxtail soup but it’s pretty pricey. Zippy’s fulfilled our needs before our long boat trip!

Our favorite Big City Diner location is the one inside Windward Mall in Kaneohe. We've known the owner Lane Muraoka before he opened his first location in Kaimuki. He also provided food donations to all my movie productions. So many restaurants turned me away but not him. His generosity and support will never be forgotten. Now the ono food. We usually start with appetizers fried calamari and fresh poke. My wife loves all their sandwiches. I tend to order the same thing every time. Mamasan's meatloaf with rice sprinkled with furikake. On occasion I get the hamburger steak. Everything on their menu is delicious.

It’s about the same as other Big City Diners, so so food, friendly service and dated decors. The hamburger with cheddar was okay, but the buns weren’t toasted so they basically disintegrated before I can finish my burger. The Eggs Benedict wasn’t too good especially its hollandaise sauce that was too thick and tasted off from others.

We walked in for dinner at 5pm on a Friday. No wait, we went straight to our table. We ordered our food. When the food came to the table they gave us spoon’s. No fork or knife. I stood up and got us forks and knives. I ordered a Boneless Kalbi with fried rice. It was good. Sister ordered a Loco Moco with and an egg over medium. The egg came to the table well done! I took it back to the kitchen and ordered them to cook another egg. Her boyfriend ordered a hamburger steak with gravy. It was mea! It tasted awful. The other thing I realized that I forgot about, is that I really HATE that the restaurant tables have no walls!! So one side of your table is open to the Mall customers walking by you while your eating! No Privacy. People can walk by you and see what your eating and how your eating. They can sneeze and cough too. The people in the booths next to you can hear every word you’re saying. The ladies next to us were talking so loud about some people they didn’t like and I could hear every word they were saying!!! Expensive Lousy food, poor wait service and horrendous atmosphere! How do they stay in business is amazing. Spend your money at Ruby’s next door. They’re worth the money. Compared to these Big City Clown’s! The next time someone gives me a gift card to them clown’s again I’ll burn it!

Ordered a club sandwich but they forgot the turkey. It was take out so we already drove all the way home and my family started eating. Very bland sandwich, mostly bread. Tried to get some refund from door dash but wasn't able to.

This was the first time to this place. We enjoyed the flavor and the pricing of our seafood boil. The green beans were very tasty too. You get to choose the heat of your seasonings. Our shrimp was cooked perfectly not over cooked and lots of flavor. I would recommend extra lemon. We enjoyed the Phillipine Mussels too.

I loved the food here! Servers were polite and helpful! Tables spaced out nicely to protect their customers. Flavors were awesome! We tried the Cajun and butter, garlic! Cheap beer, too!

Sister & boyfriend ordered take out for my birthday. 3 pounds snow crab, 1 in lemon butter, 1 pound clams in garlic butter, catfish with fries From 8 years ago, food still delicious! Still a go to place for our snow crabs.

Updated for 12/8/2020 I come here often, but this is the first time they actually messed up my order. I ordered a king crab combo garlic butter no spice, but it was cajun butter mild spice. And they forgot the rice.. I'm a bit disappointed because they weren't busy and they still made a mistake with my order. The girl who took my order though, she was awesome, super high energy and friendly. I've haven't ordered the catfish in a long time, but I don't recall it being made this way, the batter was soft on the inside, not sure how it was supposed to be though. Tasted good otherwise. Cajun fries are a little spicy, so if you can't handle any spice, do not order it. Hope they don't make a mistake next time. ☹️

A "local" person told us this place is a good hole in the wall to check out, so we decided to give it a try. I am sorry to say, it was not up to par with the seafood boils I've had in the past. There wasn't any flavor in it, it was spicy but bland. I got the Dungeness crab, and I wonder if they even cleaned it. I was highly disappointed and probably will not revisit.

Good choices of Various Seafood. From Dungeoness Crab to King Crab to Snow Crab & Lobster w/some corn, potatoes, crawfish, mussels, oysters, etc... It was Good & Very filling. If U looking for a good mix of Seafood Variety, this is a Good choice. Nice & Friendly Servers & Unlimited soft drinks... I Enjoyed my Experience here.

So, I lived in Maryland for a while, and occasionally I get a craving for crabs, shrimp, etc. I heard about this place a while back and had completely forgotten about it. Today, when that craving kicked in again, I remembered that I wanted to try this joint. It was the best food decision we've made in a while. First, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We asked a couple of questions to get a feel of what we wanted. My husband and I split the King Crab Combo, and we got a pound of shrimp for the kids as well. One of my sons also got the chicken wing basket. We got the cajun and garlic butter seasoning on everything. It was AMAZING! It reminded me of Maryland. We will definitely be returning.

I came in for Sunday dinner and the place was surprisingly slow. I ordered a small pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. The dough was crispy and the crust was buttered. The credit card noting an up charge doesn't entirely make sense. Other than that the experience was good.

Ordered a chicken and bacon pizza on Sunday night for dinner. The whole bottom of our pizza was completely burned. It's dangerous to eat acrylamide (burnt part of food) because it is linked to cancer and quite plainly taste horrible. It's such a bummer because we were really looking forward to eating our pizza as we were starving. By the time we got home and realized our pizza was burned, it was too late to go back to the restaurant so we ended up wasting our time and money as the whole pizza was tossed. I have tried calling their restaurant to resolve the issue, but since no one has answered leaving this review in hopes that this doesn't happen to others.

The sauce tasted like lunchables marinara sauce and I was hoping a place called "Brick Oven Pizza" would have good cheese. We got the margherita pizza and smoked ham and pineapple. The margarita was just covered in cheap shredded cheese, and small handful of tiny diced tomatoes thrown on top with some wilted basil in large shreds, over powering the rest of the pizza. The other pizza had a glop of sauce on half the pizza and all the cheese thrown haphazardly on the other side, making this pizza almost impossible to eat without a fork. The ham was good. I'm not sure about all the other food, most other people seemed to get everything except pizza? The waiter didn't bother asking what we wanted to drink, just brought us water. They were extremely understaffed with just 2 waiters and not a SINGLE TABLE CLEAN. They didn't bother even trying to clean. If a new party came in, the moved all dirty dishes from one table to another and wiped it down.. I'd been craving pizza since we arrived in Hawaii 4 days ago and this definitely didn't satisfy it. I'd rather have Dominos pizza.

First & last time visitor. Only 1 person acting as hostess, server, clean up, and food prepper. Service was extremely slow. The food was not good. The meatball sub was served on old, hard bread. The margherita pizza had no pizza sauce! Just dough, cheap cheese, diced tomatoes and basil. This was not a $60 meal!

First time here. The pizza was ok. The bottom of some slices was burnt though. We tried the ultimeat, cheese pizza, and the ham/pineapple pizza.

I ordered it to go. Service was prompt. Pizza looked really good. Unfortunately, it didn't taste as good as it looked. Crust tasted like cardboard, and the sauce was a bit too sweet. Very disappointed.

We've gone here a few times and is slowly becoming our new usual place to go. The environment is great if you're into bar seating. Friendly staff, food so far has always been good for us. Some reviews say burnt crust but so far, we have not had any issue. Great beer, great pizza, and a great way to spend a late afternoon after a hard weeks work.

I’m so happy someone recommended this location. My first place I went to was in Honolulu at Walmart. L&L and food was dry and burnt and very small portion when i orded regulat not micro. This location was so delicious and cooked perfectly and great portion size. The macaroni salad was the best I’ve had in Hawaii. I have to say they did the next home job.

this place never seizes to disappoint me i do not know why i keep coming back. i thought they would do better with the new owner and after a few complaints and returned food. this time a piece of black plastic looking thing in my mac salad! this place is unsanitary. even one of the chinese cooks with blonde bleached hair I always see him sitting on the dirty ground outside smoking his cigarette and goes back inside who knows if he washes his hands before presuming work. i dont trust this l&l company no more. this is disgusting

The food was amazing, delicious. We tried one of the specials and various other foods. The place was super clean and lovely staff.

After visiting the nearby botanical gardens I was starving and in need of some good food. This was the first time visiting an L&L restaurant and it is what got me hooked on the chain. The menu is expansive with so many options to choose from. Between two people we decided on a "Bar-B-Que mixed plate" and a "Kalua pork with cabbage" meal. The portion sizes were huge and it meant we had enough left over for dinner. Each meal came with rice, macaroni salad and the mains. The Kalua pork with cabbage was delicious. There was so much flavour and it was cooked to perfection. They were very generous with the amount of meat in the meal. The Bar-B-Que mixed plate included short ribs, chicken and teriyaki steak. Each was as delicious as the other but the flavour of the steak was a winner. The person taking our order was friendly and efficient at what he was doing. The dining room is very casual and no frills. I would absolutely recommend L&L for anyone in Hawaii wanting good food!

Of all the L&L locations, this has to be theeee best! The guys here are busy but always friendly, and their chicken katsu sauce is da winnah!! No one else has this great tasting, awesome concoction! All the food here is a go-to when you're hungry!

Portions were massive. Bbq chicken was great. But the short ribs were inedible. You couldn’t even bite them they were so tough. And the Mac salad was pretty bland. Imagine eating a spoonful of straight mayo. That’s the flavor of the Mac salad.

Come here for the local mixed plates! I personally always recommend the chicken katsu, but try everything.

We enjoyed our old school pau hana on aloha Friday with live Hawaiian music. The frozen drinks tasted like they use cheap mixers and the garlic bread was blah, but the pupu platter was very tasty. The mostly older crowd was happy and appreciative of the friendly space to listen to great music. We also got a little lost finding Honey's within in the conference center/golf resort. I think Honey's may have separate parking from the main parking lot, but we couldn't find it.

Serenaders group plays music here, think once or twice a month. Two in the group have wives iny hālau, Hālau nā Mamo o Pu'uanahulu. On 1/4/2019, a few hula sisters met to party and hula. Pupus 'ono too.

Let me first say that I love Slack Key Guitar. When I found that one of my favorite artists was playing it became a must visit. The venue is wonderful. There are views of the towering cliffs and the grounds. The food is excellent and top notch. Service is friendly and on top of your needs. There are locals as well as visitors eating enjoying the music. By the time you leave you’ll feel like family. If driving from the Waikiki side stop at the overlook.

Quaint place. Had live music playing motown music and other early 70's. Of course some Bruno Mars tossed in. Menu was limited but good choices. Lots of parking. The bummer was, the elevator was out of order so my oxygen self had to walk down a flight of about 25 steps and slowly come back up them if I could. I loved the pictures on the wall of old time Local entertainers.

We like going to Honey's. The food is good but on this particular night they seemed to be understaffed and our food took a long time to get to us. We waited a long time to even get a glass of water or a bottle of beer. The entertainment was exceptionally great. All in all we had a good experience. The waitresses were working hard ....they just needed more help.

Food was awesome and pretty reasonably priced, really cool decor also. There can be a wait as it’s a popular restaurant and space within is limited, it is definitely authentic Japanese cuisine and being able to speak Japanese is a plus. Only took a star off because our server was pretty curt and hovered a bit too much.

American size portions, good miso soup, unfortunately the tuna fish was overcooked, and dry.

Cute hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant in an industrial-ish area of Kaneohe. Have always had a good experience here with very helpful and friendly staff to delicious local-style Japanese food. On my last visit during lunch, I was hoping for more Teishoku options with sashimi, but the lunch menu only had two choices. The waitress brought the dinner special menu and said I could pick from there. Gotta love when they go the extra mile like that to make their customers happy.

Wonderful experience. The butterfish is probably the best we had in the very long time and the teriyaki beef was delicious.

Enjoyed the sukiyaki here. Came out piping hot which it should so that was good. Pretty good variety of Japanese comfort food. A little pricey but at this point, I'm just glad small businesses are able to stay open. There was one lady working the floor the whole time we were in there but she was amazing and we never found ourselves waiting too long for food or refills of water.

Chile Relleno has been our go-to Mexican restaurant on the island for years. Their chile relleno dish is always delicious. Perfectly cooked with rich flavor and just the right amount of heat. They serve complimentary crispy chips with a spicy salsa that starts the meal off right. The restaurant recently remodeled, and the place looks great, bright, colorful, and full of character. I also appreciate the friendly staff and the relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s BYOB, which adds a nice touch if you want to bring your own drinks. The only downside is that prices have jumped quite a bit recently, around 40%. I understand costs have gone up everywhere, but it’s definitely noticeable.

I want to give it a 5 but the food was overpriced and inconsistently disappointing for the price. I have been in search of a good a flavorful Mexican restaurant and this looked like it might be it but sadly, no. Not authentic We got the horchata pitchure and thought it was reasonably priced and very delicious. My partner got the breakfast burrito and he thought that was amazing. I got the chorizo queso and I thought that was amazing so imagine my disappointment when I get their seafood fajitas which cost $30 and they're just such a letdown. They were oily, flavorless and overpriced. Some of the worst fajitas I have ever had. I ended up eating one taco and packing the rest to take home. I will season it up in my own kitchen. I wanted to give this place five stars and had I not ordered that seafood fajita I might have but when our bill came and it was nearly $100 with tip for two people and we didn't even get alcohol, that to me was a let down. Had to mark down. There's no reason a seafood fajita mostly made a fish should cost $30. I might expect that from a steak fajita. The service was exceptional and that is what stopped me from going any lower in my review. Our waitress was very attentive and kind

We came here after seeing the reviews on google and we were not disspointed. We were seated immediately and served with the best chips and salsa while we looked over the menu to order. Our server, Shandyn was soo wonderful attentive and kind. The food was absolutely amazing and authentic and great quality as well. The dessert is a must you cannnot go wrong with the fried ice cream!! Highly recommend if you’re visiting.

The food we had was awesome! The service was awesome! The music we heard was fantastic! We thought it was music playing off of a recording but we then realized that there was a man in the corner playing his guitar & singing. When we sat down, they first gave us chips & salsa. The salsa was spicy. We then ordered a side of Avocado Cilantro Salsa to eat with the chips. It turned out to be spicier than the regular salsa. My amor had the Crispy Tacos with sliced vegetables & I had the Grande Burrito. We also shared 2 shredded Chicken Tamales. For dessert we had the Flan with Vanilla ice cream. Again, all the food we had was awesome! Definitely going back there.

Kim Chee 1 is a solid choice for delicious Korean food in a casual setting. The BBQ meats were flavorful, and the portions were generous. Their kimchi and side dishes were fresh and well-seasoned, adding a nice touch of authenticity to the meal. The service was friendly, though the restaurant can get busy during peak hours, so you might experience a bit of a wait. The ambiance is simple, but the food more than makes up for it. Overall, a great spot for satisfying your Korean food cravings without breaking the bank!

I ordered shoyu chicken & meat jun plate for $14.99 special and it came with 2 scoops of rice and more vegetatables on plate al also additional side dishes, which the server told me I could have a refill if I want to. When I got to try the food it tasted so good and also with the side dish. This is a very good price for a korean restaurant. The service was also great so it really made it a great visit.

Met up with a fishing buddy to try out Kim Chee for breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised. Got there before the restaurant opened and able to park in the front. Food was good and as expected with the price being also reasonable. Service was quick and ambiance was dinnernvibe through and through. From the outside it looked like a total dive but pleasantly surprised at the inside. Nice touch was addition of 2 types of kimchee as well as the soup. You know it's authentic when they don't give you a spoon for the soup. Looking forward to adding Kim Chee to my rotation and looking forward to trying their actual Korean food for lunch or dinner.

Oh my word!! This food was the best!! I'd have to say it was my personal favorite on our visit to Hawaii. Our entire family loved everything. We dined in for lunch on our last day and the service was fantastic and the staff was friendly. My son cannot eat any dairy and everything on their menu is dairy free. In addition, the portions were huge. I couldn't finish mine and everyone else left completely stuffed. In comparison to what we spent on other meals on the Island, the pricing was a great value, especially considering the amount of food they brought. They brought out a huge serving of two separate kinds of Kim Chee and both were incredible. If you're in the area you should definitely check this place out! We tried shrimp and would recommend the katsu, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, fried and steamed dumplings, Tonkatsu, rice, soup, shrimp katsu and the amazing Kim Chee

RUDE and uptight the moment we walked through the door. They made the experience very awkward. Definitely not embracing the islander vibe. The food is not nearly as good as other of the many spots we've eaten at. Typical Korean, but great Korean. Severely overrated. 💩

Food was great and very plentiful. For the lunch special, you get a choice of 2 entrees, plus soup and 2 types of kim chi for $15. I got 2 huge shrimp tempura and 2 large pieces of BBQ chicken with a tasty teriyaki sauce. Ate half and took the other half home. The owner/waitress was a hoot. We want to go back for the food and to see her! Service was great.

Totally not your normal sushi restaurant, it’s an amazing experience. Robot assistants to bring your drinks, conveyor belt trains to bring your food orders. So many great menu options, anything with the eel sauce is sweet and delicious. The tempura and fried rolls were delivered hot, perfect portions and artistically arranged on the plates. We LOVE coming here and will always come back!

Took my daughter here for the first time today, and she had so much fun ordering her favorite dishes! They offer a huge variety of sushi and dishes that this will make anyone happy! The dishes add up quickly, though, so our tab ended up running high for just 2 people!

They are short staffed and even if they didnt advertise it (they have signs up to let customers know), you would know. It was difficult to get anyone's attention for minor things like drink refills or paying the tab.

They had a "Chicken Katsu Bento" special ($10.98 including tax; Sept 2023), but the offer was only for take-out, couldn't eat in. Nevertheless, the young lady at the register was cheerful & efficient, and I enjoyed my bento elsewhere. The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside, moist inside. And the other ingredients were fresh & tasty (California roll, tofu, bed of rice, pickled greens & cabbage).

The guy(mr K) who greeted me looked like he was looking for a fight. He never smiled even when I was smiling at him or even to other customers while i was waiting for my order. There was an old man who was trying to use the kiosk to register for a table, he(mr k) looked at him and said, "Do you know what you're doing?". I believe the right question was, " do yo need help sir or can i help you with that sir?". Oh, by the way, he(mr k) put a no touching sign on the kiosk after that...lol Food is ok. I did not taste the whole menu. Just ordered a platter of some sushi. Kinda expensive, I know it's hawaiian price, but the bowl serving I bought was too small for the price. Check the pic I provided. That's the teriyaki chicken and calbi bowl for $6. Look at the size it's like a baby food size..oh they ran out of calbi(beef) so they said they just put the chicken.

Genki Sushi offers fast service with fresh fairly priced sushi at multiple locations all over the island. Genki in general tends to be a little cheaper than most other conveyor belt sushi establishments, but I have felt at times that you do sacrifice some quality. Esspecially compared to traditional sushi restaurants. This Genki was clean, with friendly, helpful employees and the wait time wasn't to long.

Cheap and fast conveyor belt sushi at its finest. Nice and clean inside and the sushi comes out quick. Not the best sushi in the world but a great place to come in a pinch. This place gets packed so make sure you come early.

A few spots in Kaneohe for Vietnamese food but this is one of my local restaurants. Friendly family run business with your typical Vietnamese service. Easy parking outside and often times busy because of Adela’s Country Eatery next door. Consistent food from garlic shrimp, lemongrass chicken, egg rolls, pho, etc. Always happy to support small local businesses in Kaneohe

I used to come here all the time when I was stationed on Oahu. My favorite was their Spicy Squid. No matter what restaurant I've gone to I haven't been able to find a place that comes close to how amazing that dish was. Hopefully I can make a trip out one day and get the chance to eat here again. The owner was really nice and their service was always top notch. Definitely check this place out!

Soo Good!! I ❤ how the vegetables are Fresh & Crunchy. I got the Bbq Chicken Spring Roll with noodles. I ❤ the salad dressing that goes with it. I highly recommend if you haven't tried this place, GO TRY IT!!

They have been serving customers for over 20 years! I ordered the avocado smoothie (fresh!), egg rolls - really tasty and crispy, and puff pastry. I'm Viet and from Virginia, and these egg rolls were better than the ones in DC. I will definitely return!

This place is a gem!!! On our way from North Shore to the airport, we got hungry and decided on Vietnamese. We saw the reviews here and decided to go. The second we walked in I looked at my wife and said, “this is going to be good.” And boy was it ever. We got a chicken pho, wonton saimin, teriyaki vermicelli and a shrimp vermicelli. Every one was delicious. My mouth is watering writing this review. The prices were very reasonable, portions were very fair, and the service by the owner (I believe he was the owner - older gentleman) was awesome. He was so nice and had such great personality. It totally added to the experience.

Passed this place so many times and I wish I tried it sooner. Cashier was nice and helpful with my questions. Ordered the combo plate with spicy chicken and Terri beef over noodles. I loved that the sauce was plentiful to mix into the noodles. I wished there was more eggs rolls as they tasted amazing, so I will be getting a full order with the combo plate next time. The salad was good but could have been better with dressing. Other than a couple seats to wait I don’t recall there being seating to eat inside. Will be going back again soon!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Their food is very authentic and tasty. Last couple of times, I ordered out, but today I dined in. The corn chips and salsa before the food came out were really fresh. I ordered Fajita steak salad, it was yummy! I was craving some vegetables. This just hit the spot. The server was very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here! I highly recommend to visit place if you like Mexican food!

Mostly, the thoughtfulness of the guy who helped me, I did not get your name. But when I asked for a meatless option, he was soooo supportive and made delicious suggestions of how they could prepare my food. This is in contrast to a LOT of other establishments, where I have gotten SO MUCH judgment, intolerance, and eye rolls when asking for a meatless option. Steak tacos “Mexican Style” are probably the best tacos I’ve found on the island so far. The meal comes with 2 tacos. I don’t usually take photos of my food, but after I ate the first one I knew I was going to post a review. Salsa was fresh and the sides were good. Very casual spot. I was a little confused at first of how to be seated, but just walk up to the register to get seated. Great staff that served me at the bar. Kind and attentive. I will definitely be coming back for more tacos.

Second time coming here and will continue!! Great Mexican food in the center of Kaneohe, super convenient parking and dine in eatery. Less restaurant feel and more like you’re visiting someone’s place, which depending on your preferences can hit or miss. But let’s be real, we’re here for the food! I had a craving for nachos and they did not disappoint. Too bad I ate ‘em up too fast for a good photo. But I also ordered a regular margarita and 👌 delicious! Perfect sour and salt ratio and so satisfying with my nachos.

If you are ever on the windward side this little place is really tasty. The salsa and chips are fresh the servers are really friendly and the carne asada is marinated just right . The pineapple margarita is so good here . Everything on the menu is so yummy and I would also recommend the pork tamales and cheese enchilada! I forgot to take a pic of the chips and salsa and was able to take a pic of the last bit of salsa and chips…heh heh heh enjoy!

Took a friend for lunch. It’s been a while since we’ve both had Mexican cuisine. First time to Don Goyas. I had fajita burrito and my friend a shredded beef burrito. Both were excellent. Not over seasoned and very tasty. The accompanying refried beans and rice were perfectly cooked, moist and delicious. Definitely will be back.

While the food ultimately proved great and tasty, the dining experience got off to a rocky start as we sat for a good 30 minutes without any acknowledgment from the waiter. Initial disappointment arose when we weren't provided water or chips and salsa. Only after actively seeking attention did a waiter finally acknowledge us. Despite the slow beginning, the enchilada I ordered was cooked well and tasted fantastic, redeeming the experience through the flavorful culinary offerings.

This is a very nice restaurant on the windward side serving up local style Japanese food. It is a restaurant frequented by locals in the area. There is a good selection to choose from and the portions are generous. The food is delicious and prices are good. The staff is very friendly with excellent service. Overall it is a nice clean and relaxing place to enjoy good food with good people.

We live on the West side and decided to get food before heading back home from Kailua Beach. We were in the mood for some seafood, so that's what we typed into Google when searching for places to eat. Thankfully, Kenko Ya in Kaneohe popped up, and we decided to give it a try! We arrived around 8pm on a Monday evening and were sat instantly. Our table ordered a lot of items, but the ones that stuck out the most were the Hawaiian, Kaneohe Sunset, and Volcano rolls, the Sashimi, as well as the Sweet Potato Tempura. The food came out very fast and was prepared well. The tempura was crispy and the breading was not too thick, and all the sushi tasted very fresh! We also ordered the Peach Jinro, and we were not disappointed in the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience, finished everything on the table, and will definitely go back when we're on the East side again!

Rolls were so good and well portioned for the price! Service was quick and staff were friendly & kind. Rolls came out as they were ready which I really liked instead of getting everything at once.

Lived in Kaneohe for over a yea without trying this place. I went today and the food was good and the service was excellent. Didn’t dine in but I saw how cordial and friendly the staff were. They knew so many people by name and were very friendly to everyone. I wish I tried sooner because the spicy salmon and udon are delicious. Would recommend! 👍

Ordered a tendon for take out. When I got home and opened the container it was just tempura and rice...no sauce! What's a tendon without the sweet umami sauce..... Also it looked and tasted like they cooked the shrimp tempura with panko not tempura flour, so the texture was alright. Sub par tempura and missing a key ingredient, how disappointing.

Man this place was so busy...tried to go there twice and 30min++ wait each time. Second finally got in. I love the variety of selections for their bentos!! We shared and I enjoyed everything that was on the table... Kudos to the lady running the till and also running to bring out the food, i think that was the owner maybe? The waitress that originally helped us was not very good though, missed giving us spoons for the soup but the owner lady helped us right away when i asked. All in, was a good experience and i would go back! Maybe at a earlier time away from regular dinner time.

Pretty standard, local, okazuya. Not many on the windward. It decent, my baseline for okazuya. Yakisoba is light on vegetables and meat. Fried chicken was slightly dry, but everything else is tasty. My go-to is the chicken katsu, nishime and seaweed wraps. The maki rolls are alright, so I usually don't get it. Service is pretty typical, since there are many people ordering. You have to order quickly, but they aren't rushing you. The environment just feels that way. Service is friendly. I wish you can sit down, like it was before covid. However, no place to sit so you have to take out only. Kind of lame, since most places allow sitting inside again. We got 3 plates, somen, and maki for about $65, it's not bad for the food you get.

Visiting Oahu from big island. My fiance was like a kid in the candy store here. He got just about one of everything. I loved the vegetable tempura (I ended up eating both of mine and took his), California roll and pickled cabbage.

I'm so happy with my decision to come here. Got tofu poke bowl and added the daikon on top and omg the FLAVA 🔥🔥🔥 even in just the rice my food was sitting on, I was surprised. The poi mochi came in a 4 pack n that was delicious too. These people know how to make good food, and for the price it can't be beat. Very busy inside, and lots of options. No sit down here, just take out. I wanna go back already.

Amazing. Everything we had was delicious. Hand rolls, musubi, shrimp tempura, sashimi, and the best spicy ahi poke ive had on the island. The poke rice had so much flavor and the poke itself was delicious. And literally cant beat the prices. This is a must stop for anyone visiting this island.

I love this place - terrific local food and good service. It's my go to for soccer day musubi and other pot luck goodies. I always try to get there early so they don't run out. Their poke is delicious as well. My kiddos love the okazuya options, which is awesome because they reject pretty much everything else we try to feed them. Credit cards are accepted (phew!). Parking can be a challenge however, because there are several other restaurants in the lot as well as a gas station and 7-11.

I seem to have better luck than others here. The selection is pretty darn good, even a little after their lunch rush. Their hand rolls are so good, it’s always my go to. I plan on returning to try the chocolate chip pancakes!

Pho May VI was a ABSOLUTELY GREAT RESTAURANT if you go to my account on yelp I usually rate Vietnamese places and this one was EXTRODINARY the service was amazing, we had sat down and within minutes of us ordering we had gotten our food I say this place is a success and I loved that it wasn’t that busy so I could have a calm meal with family

I ordered the large shrimp Pho to go. It came with seven good sized shrimp. It was pretty good, but not a ton of flavor..... not sure I would order it again. I will probably try something else on the menu. In my picture, you will see sesame seeds, I added those myself at home.

Love this place. Been going there for years. Their pho broth always taste “clean”, not heavy with oils like other places. I also love their lemongrass chicken and spring rolls. The staff has always been friendly to me whether it be dine in or take out. Location is very convenient and easy to get to. Lots of parking stalls. 2024 update: still my go to for Pho. I do mostly take out. Posting pics of menu. I might have to try some other things on their menu soon. Staff is always friendly. Prices went up slightly but I feel the quality of the food is still worth it.

Pho My Vi is a wonderful and comforting restaurant for families. We love trying everything on their menu and our new favorite is the Vietnamese curry. They are also very helpful when ordering takeout or grub-hub.

As a first time tourist from Texas. We found this hole in the wall in the Safeway shopping strip near Boydo-In temple. It’s a ma’n’pa shop but it’s surprisingly good. The service was excellent, people very friendly, place very clean, and you pay at the table, which is the first for as long as we have been visiting pho places all over the nation. Highly recommend this place!

March 2021 service is kind of a hit or miss...... also, this is the only pho place I know of that adds pepper before serving it to you. that should be something the customer adds if they like, not served with. there was one time where the soup had absolutely no flavor, which was unusual. not sure what happened there.. other than that, the food can be good. never had any problems with takeout either. December 2022 dine-in was great! (still had the pepper on top, but it didn't bother me as much this time. it's whatevs lol) but ordered a pho to go, no jalapeños. but they gave EXTRA (idk why??) like normally, pho restaurants give about 3 or 4. this bag had about 8. so it made everything spicy and not tolerable. eh, like I said before, hit or miss. at least they are nice, friendly, and knowledge people.

I love pho!! And this place has really good pho. i ordered the large beef pho and it was really flavorful my husband and i loved it, and the chilie they have on the table is also really good just got to mix it in well. the price was also good the thing that was pricey was my thai tea 😔 6 dollars for the small glass.

Excellent location and fast service, definitely a staple location to visit when coming to Oahu! Negative side is that there was a super long wait time for the bathroom at least 25 minutes just to get in, there were only two stalls.

First time visiting Kaneohe McDonalds in a few years and incredibly disapointed. First, the table was not clean. Normally, we arw happy to clean ourselves but when a mwmber of our party went to the counter she was blatantly ignored and had to use a wet used cleaning rag instead. We then waited 15+ minutes for our order, whilst other members of our group neared 20 for simple small meals. One person was even charged 75c for a cup of ice water with her meal. We selected table service, but might as well have not as they just called our number at the counter and we had to get it anyway. Also, no free refills... Then again, even if there were and you had to ask the counter for the refill you would never recieve assistance anyway. Now, a large reason we (and assumably many others) stopped at this McDonalds is the location, which is stunning. Unfortunatley, seating is cramped in store and the two which do have seats on the window have stickers saying it is for employee only seating. Otherwise, if you want to see the mountain you have to sit outside, which is covered in chickens and chicken poop. Never coming to this McDonalds again, hoping this can be resolved.

Opening hours are daily 6 am to 11 pm. Drive thru is supposed to be 5:30 am to 11pm. I went there because it has a fantastic Mountain View. And it is the most scenic McDonald’s and worth the photo. We had breakfast and it was a complete disaster. We waited over 30 mins. Everyone was complaining and leaving. It was chaos. Tables were dirty. I do not know if they had a problem this one day or if this is recurring. They did not seem short of staff. The restaurant was not overcrowded that day. We nearly left. Big breakfast price is 16,99$ Egg Mac muffin $6.

Food was fine. Refills and condiments cost extra. Indoor seating is limited, which is partly because the only two tables against the window with the view of the mountain are marked off for employee use only. Seemed a waste when the employees sitting there were just scrolling their phones. View outside is great though! If you order on the app for table service, they just yell your table number from the counter, don’t expect them to bring it to you.

So disappointed. I always come here when I visit the island but unfortunately they prioritise drive thru over dine in and we waited 16 minutes and other members of our party waited over 20 minutes. Staff ignored requests for napkins or cleaning tables. Charged for water in a cup 70c. Restaurant was dirty. They need more staff, friendlier staff and cleaner restaurant. Two designated tables for staff. No where to our our trash.

Furthermore, you can skip eating at this location entirely; it's just a regular McDonald's. Due to the excessive drive-thru traffic, the wait time for a meal is significantly longer than at other branches. The dining experience is further hampered by the fact that the staff cannot keep up with cleaning, resulting in unacceptable table and floor cleanliness."

Best view in the drive thru. My family and I don't eat fast food, but we went through the drive through as we had seen in on the web and it was supposed to be the best drive though in the USA. We did get some beverages and they were pretty fast in the drive through. We took amazing picks of the area, and it is beautiful.

I had the oxtail soup, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, juicy, and full of flavor. The sweet and spicy tea was perfectly balanced and so refreshing. The staff here is always amazing, making every visit a great experience. Highly recommend this spot!

Located in Manoa Marketplace, stopped by for a early family dinner since my brother said this place was quite good.... Walked in and restaurant was quite warm, like the ac was on economy mode on a hot afternoon. Had to flag down the waitress to order. Food is on the higher end of pho restaurants, one size only for pho. Ordered the two choice pho, beef and beef ball. Garnishes were sparce, gave us two plates of garnishes for three bowls of pho. Lastly had to flag down the waitress for refills of water. Dunno where the high ratings came from, the pho had lots of noodles but broth was just okay. Probably wouldnt visit again since there are other places with better service and food. 3 stars

Your food is very tasty and beautiful. The service staff is friendly and enthusiastic. We satisfied our hunger perfectly, but also enjoyed the appearance of the dish.

We ordered the oxtail pho, bun nem nuong, bun bo hue, and banh mi. Each dish ranges from $15 to $25. Oxtail pho was good — it had a good amount of oxtail for its price. The bun bo hue was flavorful and the vegetable plate was fresh, but the noodles were the smaller type that's often used for cold noodle dishes. The nem nuong was a bit too dry and only had two gia gio (eggrolls), which didn't feel too filling. The banh xeo tasted good and was decently sized but had a lot of substitutions (ie: no mung bean + bean sprouts, and used pork that's used for banh mi sandwiches). Highly do not recommend the strawberry milk tea — for some reason it tasted too bitter and sour. Aside from the food, the venue was spacious and parking was easy to find in the outlet area. There's a lot of TVs for entertainment too, alongside a dedicated bar area. The staff also spoke Vietnamese, which is a major plus.

The food is good but a bit pricy for pho. We spent 20-25 dollars for the house specials. I like the broth of traditional pho, better than oxtail one. The service is ok, not super quick for our request and take a while for the waitress notice we finished our food.

Loved this place! The tofu bahn mi was super flavorful and the bread was soft. I hate when the bread is way too hard so I was very happy about this. The service was also great, and very informative about the different items on the menu. I was surprised to see they have hojicha milk tea, since I have never seen it before. It was very good and I would recommend that as well.

Recently renovated local-style plate lunch restaurant. Had the Kalua Pork with Cabbage here, was pretty good (Not too salty, and the cabbage still had a bit of crunch to it). Also, I don't see it on the menu, but they make Spam Musubi, too.

Food was delicious, can't go wrong with the BBQ chicken. It was cooked and brought over with little wait. And the best part for someone who isn't from here, this was part of the view available as soon as you walk out of the place which is incredible

Delicious food! We tried the Kailua Pork, Chicken Katsu, BBQ Chicken, and Mac Salad and ride—all were amazing. The restaurant was clean and inviting with plenty of comfortable seating. Friendly service made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Always good at Cafe Kalawe. Plenty of parking, breakfast and lunch options from open to close. Chantilly pancakes and waffles are so good. They had some great looking desserts but we were too full from breakfast. Staff are so friendly too.

We came across this spot as we were leaving the botanical garden and are so glad we did! The food was excellent, with a great variety of options on the menu to choose from. During Sunday they have live band playing in the background. I ordered mini loco moco and kim chee fried rice, and it’s delicious. I am feeling like most people dine in here are local. Recommend for visitors who want to try authentic local brunch.

Amazing quick breakfast! This is an off-the-beaten-path cafe clearly frequented by locals--so you know it's good. Nice Christian based atmosphere with wonderful servers. Everyone is so nice! Our group had a mix of pancakes, French toast and acai bowls (regular and coconut) and we loved every bite! Trust me, take the detour!!

They didn’t give me what I asked for and still made me pay the same amount. I had to go straight home so I couldn’t check it they got everything right until I was so hungry and I had to make myself more food I am livid do not come to this Panda Express!

Staff ia rude and moves very slow. My son got locked in their bathroom while we were ordering food. Asked staff for key and had to repeat ourself multiple times. She finally grabbed a key that didn't work. She tried three different keys. Finally on the fourth key she got the door open and said it's fault he couldn't turn the know. We chose not to eat their and she bye bye good bye

Great food, it's really just a order and go place, but it has seats and tables but you can tell everyone does takeout here. I got some egg rolls and a plate of ribs and chicken with rice. For what little we paid it was well worth it. It's a great little restaurant in a country part of the island so much so you'll see chickens in this parking lot as well.

This is a great choice value for quality of food-wise reasons. The ambiance has more of an l and l feel. The restaurant is clean and the table spacing is adequate but the furnishings are quite plain. They use quality dishes for their culinary offerings and the portions are quite generous so overall it is a good experience. The restaurant is rather small so there is only one waitress who is very friendly and as efficient as she can be (I think possibly only one person in the kitchen as well) but the wait time for the food and the order it comes out is the only flaw in this otherwise, great place. So as long as you have extra time and are into a longer than usual dining experience, you will truly enjoy the excellent food here at restaurant Domo. The soft shell crab was delectable and the Hamaci and Maguro were enormously portioned.

It's a tiny place and they have 1server/waitress and 1chef today. Consider of short staff they did excellent job. From order taken to get the dishes out it took 40 min. I ordered 3 choices combo with Sashimi (All ahi n it was great cut!), miso yaki butter fish(super yummy 😋 ) and tonkatsu(pork cutlet..it was okay). Miso soup came with combo was very good too however a big disappointment on rice.

Great plate lunch place in Kaneohe, plenty variety. Every time i go i get something different. Been only 3 times so far, but every time was ono and aunty at the register has always been so nice and patient. Prices decent, prtions big, food good.

We arrived at 5p. expecting fresh food. My husband and I ordered the chicken Katsu and it tasted old and dry. We ordered a side of noodles as well and it was the same way. We wanted it to be good, but we were very disappointed. We won't be going back! On a positive note, the macaroni salad and white rice were good.

An unassuming restaurant off the highway but super super delicious food. Great bang for your buck with big portions and authentic BBQ flavours. We had the BBQ meat plate and the special #2 (mapo tofu with Mochiko chicken) and couldnt be anymore satisfied! What a great find especially if you want to eat like a local!

Been 10 years since last visit and quality has dropped tremendously. Fried shrimp tasteless and hard. Pork teriyaki thin beef jerky with lots of fat. I asked front counter for suggestions but she was not helpful. Very sad here.

I have not had one of these since I lived in California. I feel like they are going away. Still their corndogs beat all. I don't know what it is, but it's not too salty -- it's deep fried to a nice crunch, but still steaming hot and juicy on the inside. Their lemonades are still top notch too. This brings me back to my twenties!!

Ate here as a kid so I stop here every time I visit Hawaii. The line was long but the corn dog and lemonade tastes just as I remembered. Tried the funnel cake sticks too. I miss their tall multi colored hats.

*Sighs of euphoria*. Why does all of the most delicious things in the world usually have to be the worst for our physique?? The existence of a place like Hot Dog on a Stick makes it hard to stick to my "healthy" diet. But sometimes I have to compromise with myself: "Do I want to have abs, or I do I want to be happy?". Often times, the latter question wins. There are a few sweet, calorie destructive, goodies in the world that if I had it my way I could eat all the time. 1) Beignets 2) Funnel Cakes 3) Cotton Candy 4) Candy Apples (even though they are so bad for your teeth) As you can see, funnel cakes is right there at the top of the list, so you can imagine my excitement when my friend told me this place located all the way over in Kaneohe had a delight known as "Funnel Cake Sticks". I live on the complete other side of the island, so it's a bit of drive to get here. Would I drive all the way to the other side of the island to get these babies? You bet your sweet bippy I would! My first time at the Windward Mall, I wasn't sure which floor the place was located on but I prayed it was on the first floor. I had to spin around a few times and walk in the wrong direction a couple times before I finally found the place but once I did, I immediately ordered the funnel cake sticks. I knew I would need a drink, so I also ordered the Cherry Lemonade as well, which was very tasty but also quite sweet. Once I tried the sticks, it was like I was in heaven. The sticks were doused and completely covered in powdered sugar, just like I like them! Often an issue I have with funnel cakes is that it seems like they never sprinkle enough powder over the whole cake. Not with these. All of them were thoroughly covered in sugar. Some of them were slightly overcooked as they were rather crunchy, but there were a few pieces that were still pretty doughy. Overall, this is an amazing snack and I will definitely be back. Everything is good here. I love the cheese on a stick and lemonades. A must have every time I get a chance to go to Windward mall. Very inexpensive and great customer service.

The kids had the hot dog on a stick. No complaints about the hot dog. I had the zucchini and fish combo plate. Zucchini was good but the fish was like eating French fried batter with a hard thin dried up piece of fish. This has to be the worst meal I've had from the food court. I won't be a customer of this establishment again.

I would highly recommend skipping this restaurant! I have worked in a restaurant and understand that customer service is a skill that some people have and some don’t. When the kitchen is short staffed at least make sure your customers have their drinks promptly. Don’t forget their drinks and their food. 1.5 hours is a little excessive to get your appetizer and your meal at the same time. The bathrooms were disgusting and the tables filthy! If you only have a few tables to wait on, while you’re waiting for the food to come out, clean some of the other tables that have flies crawling on the food. Do Not order the hatch queso! I don’t mind paying for a good meal but this was a fail on all levels! This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth for any future visits to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Waited a good 40 minutes after the appetizers and my wife’s food arrived for my sandwich. To which she acknowledged and I’m certain she forgot about it to grab it from the kitchen. Finished the Dr Pepper and instantly felt sick and didn’t want my food anymore and took it home to eat when I felt less grossed out. I’m sure it’s to the soda machine, I let the waitress know about it and I only got a “oh so that’s where that went” not a sorry not a comp for the drink. Nothing. I always tip, so enjoy your $1 tip. Learn customer service thanks. 😊 See attached photo for why I’m pissed. Not even pissed about the wait times but had to unfortunately include it. I will not be coming back here again and if it wasn’t for you guys being attached to a mall. I’m 99% certain your business would die.

Just got take out. Ordered 2 kids meals and a large boneless wing meal. Got everything into car and thought we had it all. Missing the drinks (2 chocolate milks) with the kids meals which really makes the meal since it’s such tiny portions. Didn’t realize til we were already 15 mins away. Mac and cheese was old pasta with dried cheese on it, wouldn’t get again. Boneless wings were good. Tried to address the missing drinks on the app where we ordered and it only led to a number to call which did not get answered by anyone.

I have been to this location once, and no matter how starving I am, I will never return. It was a Friday evening and they were NOT busy at all. I'd say 1/4 of the tables were occupied, it was almost oddly quiet for a Friday night with games going. We were seated immediately which was nice as I had my 4 year old and 8 month old dying for dinner. We were seated near 6:40pm and placed an order for a sprite, a beer, a cocktail, the trio dip, potato wedges, and the kids tender/fry combo within the first 10 minutes of being seated. 20 minutes later the drinks, trio dip, and wedges arrived. Not my daughter's tenders though. The waitress apologized for the wait and said she would follow up with the kitchen, so she acknowledged the delay even before we did which shows me she sees the problem. About 20 minutes after that she returned to check on us and we added one more beer, one more cocktail, a sandwich and a 10 piece boneless wing to our order. She didn't give an update on my daughter's tenders, we had to ask again. 20-30 minutes after adding the above items to our order it all comes out at once, but still no food for my daughter. On top of that, they incorrectly made the wings and gave us traditional. We sent them back and continued to tolerate this nonsense. At this time it's 8:00pm and my daughter is utterly starving and continuously asking for her food, which was ordered at 6:50pm. It wasn't until now that they finally brought out her food, which was quite literally 3 small tenders and a handful of fries. My husband expresses his frustration. While it wasn't the waitress's fault and we acknowledged that, we let her know how the delay for our child's food was beyond unacceptable, how the incorrect food is unacceptable, and we were so unhappy that we didn't even want their food anymore and just wanted to leave. She said we had to pay, but we didn't even consume any of the food as we are a family who waits for our children first. We asked for a manager and she said we still had to pay for the drinks which was fine, we did consume one beer and one cocktail and one sprite during that time, however she wanted to charge for unconsumed drinks as well. I want to reiterate they were NOT busy. The establishment was not loud, there was no excuse for the atrocious service we received. We asked for a manager and waited another 15 minutes before finally leaving and heading to the restaurant across the way and was served everything we ordered within 30 minutes. Our experience was downright volatile and they should just close up shop.

Came into the mall entrance and waited for 10 minutes for another customer to tell us we have to go to the other side. Once over there we waited another 10 minutes until I asked the bartender if some was there to help us. They said someone should be there shortly. Finally, someone came and seated us and left. After no one came up for another 5 - 10 minutes we left. To be honest there was only maybe 3 tables worth of people there, so there isn’t any excuse. If I could give a 0 star rating I would.

Incredible staff- from servers to kitchen staff. Super friendly, quick service and just good vibes. I came in as a vegan not expecting a lot, asked if they could possibly bake the cauliflower wings and pretzel bites (for other veggies- if fried, they use beef tallow) and they couldn’t have been more accommodating if they tried. Highly recommend this location, and hope to return soon!

Waited over an hour for my food. Bartenders were phenomenal but BDUBS GENUINELY sucks now, the quality was terrible, all breading. Definitely can get a good bartender but not a decent dinner, extremely disappointed. Please stop cutting corners. I used to genuinely love Buffalo Wild Wings before this. 😞

This place is truly phenomenal. The service is fantastic and they are very attentive/friendly. They refill your tea regularly and can help you choose the best sushi. They have specials and they are top tier. Some of the best on the island. I will be back. They have limited parking in the front.

Hands down the best sushi I've had on the windward side! It comes with a price tag though. This ain't genki. BYOB. Staff is very friendly. Parking is pretty tight in the area, but the restaurant is also very small. Sushi bar and 3? tables. Not good for big groups. But damn. Go here if you want to treat yourself to some really hecking good sushi!

Such a clean and nice little restaurant. We are the only one table in the restaurant at lunchtime. They lock the door to prevent other people from coming, which feels very safe. We ordered a sort of sashimi, hibachi carpaccio, honomono salad and salmon dyno roll. All of them are super delicious, highly recommend it!

Amazing sushi and such friendly staff! Some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Make sure you make a reservation because it doesn’t seem like they take walk ins right now.

We came for dinner and there was a long line of people waiting to order. Ledda was single-handedly preparing all the orders and did it with a cheerful attitude and smile and seemed like she cared for each customer despite the rush. As a business owner, I was very impressed with her skills and attitude and for that reason alone, I would highly recommend this location!

Put in a online order to pick up at 6pm. Lots of people were waiting for their online order. That’s cool, I’ll wait too. Talked to some other patrons and they were waiting for 45 minutes for their food. I asked for my order to be completed 3 times between 6pm-7pm. They literally skipped us twice. Ran out of the food that we wanted and It took them an hour to complete my order while the walk in line was in and out of the door within minutes. I went to cancel my order and then bam! My order is ready an hour later! It may have been the day or whatever but waiting an hour for fast food is crazy.

I came into the restaurant today with my 4 sons after their doctors appointment around 3:15pm and it wasn’t crowded or super busy. We ordered and sat down to eat. After we finished my youngest son who has ADHD accidentally knocked over his drink and it got all over the table and ground. We were trying to clean it up with napkins but they said they would do it. Two of the female workers were staring and looked annoyed that they had to clean it up. The only kind employee was a lady named Mandy, she came over with a mop and didn’t make us feel bad because obviously it was an accident. I apologized twice and the other workers didn’t say anything. Even my 5 year old son kept apologizing. They need to do better with customer service and compassion. Thank you MANDY for not making us feel terrible you’re an amazing employee and Panda Express is lucky to have you.

We went in to get lunch and it was empty so there should be no excuse that we got our order wrong we ordered a “bigger plate” that comes with 3 choices 1 order was shrimp and 2nd order was double orange chicken then we order one order spring roll two orders cream cheese won tons but she forgot the double chicken charged the second choice under “spring rolls in the bigger plate” and also made us pay for the spring rolls on the side so we got our order wrong and paid extra again it was just us in there so how did we get our order wrong not trynna be off topic here but she had a lot of makeup on if you took that much time caring and listening to costumers order it would be fine

Always fast and friendly service. One of my items took longer than expected and was given a free drink(without asking for it) while I waited. Food has always been fresh for my orders.

This place is filthy, greasy floors & chairs but the worst is the meat. Very poor quality. Spicy pork was half a plate of pure fat, the steak was chewy. Staff was sweet though. You're better off going to fast food down the street at tasty BBQ where the side dishes are fresh & delicious.

The food and service were great. For $34 all you can eat, you can't beat it. The chicken, port, beef, and squid were all great. They even changed out our cooking plate 5 times for us.

This was an amazing experience. The serving size of the meat portions was really large, not to mention delicious, but the star of the experience was the service - impecable service and a true joy to be there. Cannot wait to come back!

Local ramen shop always hits the spot when you are craving simple ramen and decent cost for a combo. I technically get a combo consisting a small ramen, chicken katsu curry and gyoza. Owner is friendly and nice, though the tables are kind of outdated. Our table had a large crack through it with the acrylic glass cracked/split down the middle.

A personal and favorite staple since 2002... Consistent. Delicious. Comforting. The spicy beef ramen combo...? Perfection - you cannot find such a fantastic blend of heat and flavor anywhere else. Visit... enjoy... I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed.

Stopped for a late lunch after visiting Kualoa Ranch. We were greeted promptly. Our large party had no trouble finding seating. We ordered and our food came out quickly. Everything we tried was very flavorful. I really appreciated the "mini" sizes on the menu that were perfect for the kids. Broth wasn't too salty, curry was flavorful but not spicy. Would definitely visit again!

Sampled Gyoza, chicken katsu curry, and ramen. I loved every bite. The curry is perfectly flavored and the portions are very reasonable. There are less dining options on this side of the island, Sumo Ramen is a must visit. The owners are kind and courteous as well.

Came here for a quick dinner on the way up north. Had their Machiko Chicken Curry Combo. The service was super fast, food came in less than 5 minutes. Portions were huge too, had 6 pieces of chicken with a big slab of chasiu on my ramen. Taste wise, the ramen broth was kinda a mix of pork and dashi, clean taste but there’s just a miss of umami. Gyoza was just like any normal dumpling. The curry was on the sweet side compared to other places. The chicken was the best on plate as it stayed crispy the entire meal, and juicy too. Just wished it had more flavour like ginger or garlic to compliment the curry.

A great place for ramen! They are super friendly, fast, and the food is wonderful! The kimchi fried rice is really good and I will definitely be trying the Mochiko chicken next time.

Wasn’t really planning to review this place but since it had a Hawaiian style breakfast we just had to try it! We also ordered other breakfast foods. Honestly the Hawaiian styled breakfast with spam, portuguese sausage, rice, and eggs was a delight! We got here at like 5:30 one morning because we wanted to do a sunrise hike and we were still on EST. One side of the doors wasn’t working so it was a bit confusing, the service was also extremelyyyyyy slow. Also they didn’t have any of the fun pie flavors :(. Overall fine though!

It was terrible, I went inside and expected someone to come to the cash register and NO ONE DIDz. All I heard was I’ll be right with you. They have many working but no one to assist!! Take away the cash register so we won’t be fooled on waiting in line to pay!! I assumed an elderly lady since no one came to assist her at the register. AI is not the way to go!!

I get there's staff shortages, but when you have 2 managers not paying attention it only makes things worse, having to wait 20+ minutes in line just to order at the counter is a bit ridiculous, especially if you are only the 4th person in line, the aunties or anyone taking care of the counter is trying their best, nothing against them, they are always friendly/ helpful/courteous

Half filled drink, no sauce, chicken sandwich all over the place? Some fries abnormally cold as if in fridge? Lady working seemed grumpy and despite my comment to have a good rest of the night decided to turn her back and close door while i was still there in silence. Man working with her seemed to be trying to do what he could.

We always have the best time at the windward city McDonald's every.mouring!! For 3 years because of kanani octubre!!! OMG she is the most positive energy We heard she was out of work due to an accident!!! But we really miss her!!! That smile could brighten up the whole world!! I hope she's okay!! The food is pretty good, but the service is lacking. Not much was explained, even though I said it was my first time at their restaurant and their menu isn’t well explained on its own. Basically they serve all you can eat hotpot OR a bibimbap dish OR some items a la carte (which only include the item. The cost is high for what you get, though now that I know how and what to order here, it wouldn’t be as expensive next time we visit (if). Side note: we didn’t even get a water refill from our waitress… so don’t expect much in the way of service here, sadly.

Delicious hot pot and meat in Kaneohe. The place is not too flashy but the atmosphere is good. The waitress was very attentive and polite. Would definitely eat here again next time.

Went to Kogi Aina a few months ago and couldn’t say one negative word about the place. The food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was electric. Went there a few times since and I can say they gave really fallen off. Each time I’ve returned they’ve not had chicken for bibimbap and the service doesn’t really exist. While the food is ok compared to my first experience it’s not worth my returning at this point.

Amazing food! It was great and would highly recommend. I enjoyed the style of cooking or just having the staff mix the hot stone bibimbap. We dended it with shave ice.

Kogi Aina is a great little hot pot place. they have a variety of broth and meat options and two fridges full of veggies, meat, tofu, gyoza, and others that you can pick out on your own. The spicy house shoyu broth was super tasty and had a bit of spice to it. The brisket went with it fantastically. We also ordered a bibimbap that was very flavorful and crisped up nice. They have a couple sauces you can add to taste. Finally, the Melona soju cocktail was fantastic. It was decently strong and tasted like a creamy Melona bar. Definitely recommended.

12-5-2017 my family and i had dinner there. It was empty and the service was good. Old style ma and pa restuarant. The food taste good, we got the meat Jun and kalbi. We went home and 4 out of the 5 of us got food poisoning, we all had the runs and my kids literally were crapping themselves. My youngest daughter (she diddnt eat the food) was the only one that diddnt get sick. I'm disgusted with these people, they have no business running a restaurant. If they werent so nice (and old) id go back and make this right.DONT EAT AT CHUNS!

I ate here a few times in 2006 and I'm still craving it. In my opinion it's the only reason to go back to Oahu. The rest of the island is boring but Chun's is something special.

Know that if your dining in- no free refills. You'll have to purchase another drink. Bought a few burgers: 2 whopper Jr's + 1 fish burger: whoppers were dry & not really warm. Fish burger bread wasn't warm. Kids didnt like it. They have cheese balls things: not worth it- idk if its the batter & insides but not getting that again. They do have crown hats to help yourself for the kids to - AWESOME 👌🏽 Service: thorough & kind workers Parking: easy to find stalls near entrance.

This is hands down the worst Burger King on the island, and that is saying a lot, because Burger King isn’t great to begin with. The service here is almost non existent. If you don’t go through the drive through, don’t plan on having anyone take your order any time soon. Last time I was there, I stood and waited for 30 minutes, while the manager did everything she could to avoid eye contact before I finally gave up and left. Save yourself the diarrhea and skip this place at all costs.

With how slow it was, customer service was okay. But the restaurant is practically empty and not that many employees. I still enjoy a good KFC. So. If you not in a rush and have down time this is a good place to just take your time and have something to eat.

I did a mobile order but went inside to pick up...the lobby was locked and they had to open up to let custers out and others in. I waited over 20 minutes after promised food time. They continued to lock us customers inside the restaurant without explanation-we later found out they had a large order and couldn't accommodate and additional orders-it would have been nice to know why we were locked inside. I had to ask at the counter to be let out. Won't go back anytime soon.

Today Sat April 5th 2025 at 4:20p until 5pm I unfortunately for me I had a very bad experience at this KFC drive thru, I attempted to order 2 center breast , the women said she had a center breast and a side breast, I asked if they were small and asked how long were they out. She said she would check. She came back and said they had been out about 20 mins and explained she had only small center breast and the other a slightly larger side breast. I said I I’ll wait for a new batch of center breast., And I could see she was visually annoyed and for some unknown reason could not understand my request. After a few conversations back and forth with the cook, he pleasantly enough understood immediately and rang me up. I asked when will my order be ready. He said 30-40 mins. I returned at 5 pm. The women boxed the chicken and I thanked both of them. She didn’t acknowledge. I checked the chicken before I left and noticed there were 2pieces, in the box and they looked overly fried. After I got home and examined the chicken and the crust, tasted burnt and the chicken had been twice fried. I assumed it was the same two pieces they wanted to give me earlier. I attempted to call them back but the called failed twice when ai tried to speak to a supervisor. I took pictures as I will follow up, I worked for an International airline and I know how important customer service .

We have been trying to order thru app for 40 mins to get special & KEPT getting booted off... & now I see they've closed & it's 20 til 8.... hello, do they not hire people who want to do their job?? I am certain they need Management replacement! This is not the 1st or 5th time they have closed early.... once 18 mins early! Just because THEY are frustrated w/ the promo on Tuesdays- doesn't mean another Manager of THAT store couldn't get workers that WANT a job! if the job is too hard-- move on!!! Restroom doesn’t have a locker, OMG! We asked plate but they didn’t have it, we asked forks for 7 of us, but they gave us only three. The lady on the front was so mean. The bread was given without butter. No recommended at all. There is no air conditioning

Well..I don't know how the atmosphere is inside. But outside it's sad. We ordered online and the order was ready in 15 minutes. BUT..when we pulled up to get our order it was going to be 13 more minutes because they ran out of regular chicken. No big deal. I asked my Grandson to go in and get our food.and everything looked OK, he said. When we got home the Gravy for the mashed potatoes had melted the container and Gravy was every where. I called, and., called and called , and called and called and called..no one will answer the phone.. I haven't tried the chicken or Cole slaw yet... Hope it ok
