Restaurant
El Floridita Bar, located in Havana, was a favorite spot of the famous author Ernest Hemingway. The bar is now home to photographs and a statue of him. While the drinks may be a bit pricey, it's an intriguing experience to follow in the footsteps of this renowned writer and see Havana through his eyes.
My wife and I had a great afternoon here. A must visit place given the Hemingway heritage. We enjoyed seats at the bar and took in the fine music from two bands. The drinks were good. Started with the Havana Club 7 years spices, tried their mojito, and daiquiri’s. The bar staff are friendly. Only tried the bar food and had what was a panini accompanied with nuts.
Allan W — Google review
Definitely a beautiful bar, especially in relation to Ernest Hemingway. However, 7.50 USD for a Daiquiri is a very high price, especially for this country. Additionally, when we entered, we asked if card payment is possible, which the waiter assured, especially since we were low on cash for Cuba. When we then tried to pay, the card payment did not work and, as the cashier told us, did not work for some time before.
Samu — Google review
A true tourist tap but it is a must do. We arrived just at opening and the band was already going full on. The do make a great daiquiri, and like I said it is a must, along with a photo of the bust of Hemingway. This spot is a lot of fun. It does get busy very quickly.
Straypaddy — Google review
Such a beautiful restaurant and drinks were amazing. Great live music and profession and good service. Just don't expect soap in the washrooms.
Anthony M — Google review
Hemingways Bar. Home of the Daiquiri. History brings the hype. But that's where the charm ends. The love music is pretty good though. The band is talented. Th food and cocktails are alright. They are pricey because they know every tourist visiting Cuba will come here.
R H — Google review
A historic cafe, where Hemingway spent his time. Inside there is also a sculpture of him at the bar. The first Daiquiri was also made here. And at the same time, it's the best I've tried, I recommend Floridita Daiquiri. They are expensive because this is a sure tourist place, where every tourist will come to visit.
Aleksandra N — Google review
It’s a must stop bar in Havana!! The musicians are so good and the daiquiris are amazing! The croquettes were delicious
D D — Google review
Overrated! If you want to snob a little and take a look at Ernest Hemingway - recommend. Otherwise pointless - you can drink as good (or even better) daiquiri in many other bars in Havana, and even 3 times cheaper!

La Bodeguita Del Medio is a legendary establishment in Havana, known for its historical significance and famous patrons. The walls are adorned with inscriptions and framed photographs of celebrities, creating a unique ambiance. This was Ernest Hemingway's favorite place to enjoy a refreshing mojito. While the prices may be on the higher side, visiting this iconic bar allows you to step into the footsteps of the renowned author and experience Havana through his eyes.
Wonderful place, not at least because I reminded some of the patrons of Hemingway 🤣😂 Excellent mojitos and a very good live band. Loved the lobster cubana. Yum. Want to have a great time in Havana, don't miss this place

Cuban best place to taste the best Mojito in island, favorite place of Earnst Hammingway, live cuban music...
Burcu S — Google review
Amazing, very delicious, we had the lobster it was perfect, the lemonades were not that good i tried better in cuba, i think they add lots of sugar. Beautiful atmosphere
Amy H — Google review
“Bodeguita del Medio is a must-visit spot in Havana — full of character, history, and probably the best mojito you’ll ever have. The atmosphere is lively, the music’s authentic, and the walls tell stories.”
Maryam J — Google review
I always drink a mojito here. Sometimes I also eat here. It's a restaurant I always visit when I go to Cuba.
Kawashima C — Google review
Just found a magnet I got from there back in October 2005 when friends and I stopped in for a mojito and a snack. Looks like the place hasn’t changed a bit.
Hans S — Google review
Totally overrated! The front is filled with tourists all hours of the day. The food is ok, but nothing special. We tried the Ropa Vieja because a lot of people here recommend it... it was mediocre. The Mojitos are really small. All in all, a tourist trap. You can find a better place to eat with more delicious food! The live music was great, but it is practically everywhere in Havana.
Bilyana K — Google review
This is a very historic pub. One of Hemingway's favourite bars, a must-see historical place. However, it is not recommended to eat or drink anything because they use the ingredients sparingly and it is unnecessarily expensive.

Cuban restaurant
La Guarida is a unique and award-winning restaurant located in a 19th-century residential neighborhood in Centro Habana, Cuba. Despite its unassuming location, it offers expertly prepared cuisine in an atmospheric setting. The restaurant is situated on the third floor of a weathered apartment building and features three intimate dining rooms adorned with eclectic wall displays. Diners can enjoy dishes like sugar-cane tuna glazed with coconut and fish salad with crunchy vegetables and peanuts.
Went here for dinner with a group and listened to a great local band. The building is gorgeous and we enjoyed the different terrace bars. The three course dinner was delicious and the drinks were generous!
Sandy W — Google review
On our last day in Havana, we decided to visit La Guarida and it was the best decision we made on our last dinner here in Cuba! The ambience is unique and the building is a mix of romantic vintage manor house! The staff were very professional and kind and the food was delicious!! All dishes were very tasty from the starters to our main tenderloin beef!! Suggestions is the Gorgonzola croquettes and definitely the triple chocolate cake (or something like that)!! Just an amazing night!!
T. P — Google review
Wow! What a great meal. Started off at the rooftop bar and then had dinner on the terrace. The food was fantastic, amazing wine list, and very great service. View if the water is nice as well. Tuna tar tar was my favorite item…super fresh. Garlic shrimp was also very good.
Adam K — Google review
I’ve been to this magical restaurant two times over the past few years. It’s a regular stop when you are traveling to Cuba with a group. Both times this place can really take your breath away by the decaying beauty. The rooms have amazing art and the staff is terrific. This time the apps were delicious. Beautifully done with really interesting texture and flavors. The entrees— even the house specialities were just okay. Salt (on the table) really helped my snapper. And my friend’s chicken and another friend’s cod fish. Dessert- a kind of lemon and meringue was excellent.
Laura T — Google review
This overpriced restuarant has a beautiful rooftop to look over the not so lit city of Havana. But the sky can be fabulous. Drinks and good are expensive, for what they are. But the building is frozen in time and you will have a good time.
R H — Google review
Wow, completely WOW. I found this hidden gem on Instagram, and I am oh so glad I did. The atmosphere is completely unmatched. You walk in through a semi-decrepit-looking entrance, with beautifully crumbling architecture typical of Havana, and wind up an ornate staircase through a succession of stunning and colorful rooms/floors. This all ends on a glorious rooftop bar with 360-degree views of the city. It took my breath away. The food was also impeccable, and the menu offered some adventurous choices, which I always appreciate. They could’ve served me poop on a platter though, and I would’ve been happy— nothing can beat that view! And the art throughout is stunning. Great service, not too crowded. I felt like an insider seeing a side of the city that I would never have otherwise gotten to see. Do not miss this.
John T — Google review
A culinary masterpiece in an elegant bit of architecture. The food is outstanding; we had 3 courses, and each dish was delicious. The tuna tartare starter and chicken main were especially good. They have a good selection of cocktails, and more importantly, a wide selection of Rum! Service was fantastic, all waiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Restaurant was packed, so the vibe was good, and the views you get on the balconies is great. One of the rare venues tourists can pre book, so strongly suggest you do to.ensure you get a table.
Jack C — Google review
When we chose this restaurant, it seemed like a well-established institution. However, our experience suggested that it didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by its Google reviews and the surrounding hype. While the standard of food is still quite good by Cuban standards, it fell short of what we anticipated. The setting was nice, when you walk in there is the speech written by Fidel Castro on the wall next to the stairs which is a popular spot for photos. The aesthetic of the interior is nice and provides a good vibe for dining. Despite being regarded as one of the best restaurants in Cuba, there were some glaring issues. One glass contained an unidentified floating object, and the sparkling water was completely off, arriving pre-opened and undrinkable. The fish of the day was snapper, which was well-prepared and complemented by a flavorful sauce. The texture of the fish was fine and easy to chew. The 50-day dry-aged ribeye was served with a hot plate, allowing us to sear the steak ourselves. While the concept was interesting, the execution left much to be desired. The aging process was evident in the texture and flavor notes of the steak, but it didn’t quite reach the expectations of a premium dry-aged cut. It was accompanied by grilled capsicum, potatoes, salt, and a sweet-and-sour sauce intended to enhance the self-searing experience. Next, we tried the saffron oxtail risotto. Although it carried the scent of saffron, it lacked the authenticity of true saffron infusion. Unfortunately, the dish was unbearably salty, overshadowing any other flavors. The lobster dish was similarly disappointing. It was overly salty and had an unpleasant raw seafood odor, suggesting it wasn’t fresh enough. The ropa vieja was slightly better—above average and, thankfully, not overly salty. As for desserts, the rice pudding was bland, appearing prepackaged. The cheesecake was below average, though the touch of cheddar was an interesting twist that gave it a semblance of being a true cheesecake. The triple chocolate dessert was the standout highlight—rich and satisfying. Another notable dessert was the lemon tart with meringue, which offered a pleasant and refreshing conclusion to the meal. At the end, it took about half an hour to receive the bill and sort out payments, which was far too long for us and prevented us from spending the rest of our night somewhere else. In summary, while Le Guarida shows promise, its reputation didn’t align with the actual experience. A few standout dishes aside, the inconsistencies in preparation and quality were hard to overlook. Thank you

Nestled on the second floor of a charmingly dilapidated colonial house in central Vedado, Madrigal Bar Cafe is an enchanting lounge that exudes artistic flair. El Cocinero is a trendy loft-style lounge in Havana, located in a former cooking oil factory with a rooftop terrace. The industrial past is still evident in the towering chimney, but the atmosphere and cuisine exude modern sophistication. From mouthwatering duck confit and blinis to delightful seafood options, the menu offers an array of delectable choices. After dinner, guests can savor expertly prepared cocktails while enjoying expansive city views from the terrace.
What a cool spot! This open air rooftop bar is one of a kind. Servers were attentive, but not overbearing, great wine selection, food was excellent - came in portions easy to share. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous restaurant! Don't miss this while on Cuba! The good quality and service are amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful. This is outdoor, rooftop dining at it's best. We tried the filet, chicken mushroom pasta, pork steak and duck. All of the food was too notch.

El Cocinero is a gem of a restaurant. The curry fish and crab tacos are standout dishes, bursting with some flavor. Plus, its proximity to the Cuban Art Factory makes it a convenient and delightful dining choice. Highly recommended!
Ciara L — Google review
My wife and I went to El Cocinero and left delighted. The ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced—definitely the highlight of the night. We paired it with a glass of Merlot that complemented it beautifully. An ideal spot for a special evening.

“Absolutely loved my experience at El Cocinero! 🍴 The rooftop terrace gives an amazing view of Havana, especially at sunset 🌅. The food was fresh and flavorful — seafood and grilled dishes were top-notch. Staff was very friendly and attentive, making the whole evening even better. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, perfect for both casual hangouts and special dinners. Highly recommend this spot if you want a memorable dining experience in Havana!”
Rana A — Google review
Really great restaurant. The neighborhood is the only con as it is kind of ugly and far from the tourist area. Otherwise it is perfect. The food is great! Loved the dumplings, the cucumber pasta with meatballs was so good. The lobster with risotto tasted so original. But the best part of it was the freshly baked bread with basil butter, to die for! The chocolate pie was super tasty too. Definitely a must in Havana. Not pricey at all. Good wine selection.
Monica R — Google review
Make sure to book a table for 7:45 because this place is fantastic. My wife and I absolutely loved the ambiance. It's the perfect spot for a romantic evening or a friends to hangout. The service was top-notch, and the staff even let us capture the stunning sunset with some photos. The food? Oh, it was divine! Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Whether you're going with your significant other or a group of friends, this place is a winner. Winner winner chicken dinner.

Siá Kará Café is a hidden gem located behind El Capitolio in Old Havana, offering a cool and bohemian atmosphere reminiscent of the city's past. The menu may not be extensive, but it offers great food for lunch or a relaxed evening. The café boasts an impressive drinks menu and hosts live music performances, making it an ideal spot to experience Havana's vibrant nightlife.
I lived nearby and I used to come here mainly for the music - live & jazzy. No "JuantaNamera" heard everywhere else (thx God). The venue is situated close to the Capitolio's back (hence my photo of Capitiolio back). Folks here are very nice - both customers and personnel. Food tasty, not so expensive like in overrated Obispo street.

We had high hopes for this cafe. The staff was awesome and the place had eclectic decor, however, we were hoping for some Cuban music or something similar and instead they were playing ‘90s/‘00s American rock. Mojitos were pretty good. We asked for an extra float of rum because the first batch was too much sweet and sour.
Cecilie B — Google review
This place is a saving grace in Havana! Best Sangria in Cuba. Nice staff, the place is cozy, exotic and romantic. The musicians that were there that night knocked my socks off. Percussion a piano player and a lady that sang and played the sax and OMFG! could she play!!!! We had an amazing night for Valentine's day. Thank you so much. Don't wast your time or money anywhere else!

Funky, fun spot with good food and drinks. Great spot to get out of the heat for a bit and get a taste of Havana life. Bit slow, even for Havana, so go when you have time to chill and experience something a little different. Recommended.

We had good cocktails here. The atmosphere was nice. The prices were fine. The washroom did not have any of the following: soap, toilet paper, a toilet seat, a functioning flush. Not great for an otherwise nice establishment. Good place to go if you’re sure you want need to pee and your hands are already clean.

Restaurante Yarini Habana is a rooftop bar and restaurant located in the San Isidro art district of Havana. The establishment is named after a notorious neighborhood figure from 1910 and features no clear entrance sign, adding to its mysterious allure. Owned by renowned Cuban actor Jorge Perugorria, the restaurant offers outstanding food and ambiance with a fascinating backstory.
I tried many many daiquiris in havana, but this one was the best one ! Definitely worth to go and try croquetas de langusta!!

Rooftop dining, lots of seating options, can accommodate large parties. The views from the top tier are magnificent and at the golden hour the lighting for pics is perfect. Food was meh (some dishes too salty, others bland) but the drinks were really, really good. Definitely more expensive than other restaurants in Havana. Would come back for the views and cocktails but eat dinner elsewhere.
Bianca A — Google review
We came here for dinner and drinks whilst in Havana. The location is a rooftop overlooking the center and is really unique. The view of the city really shows you the different sides of Havana with the poor-kept buildings, and in the background the capitolio with other historic buildings. The staff warmly greeted us and their service was really well with paying attention to details. For food, we ordered five different starters which all tasted delicious and were presented well. Our main courses were dissapointing, especially since our expectations were high after the quality of the starters. The mushroom risotto was recommended by the staff but tasted dry and was a bit undercooked. The filet mignon came lukewarm/cool so we had to send it back to the kitchen. The presentation of the dishes was really plain, we were not impressed compared to the starters. Prices do not reflect this quality of main courses. The cocktails were tasty and unique. Overall we had a great experience with the service and the unique location and good atmosphere. The main courses were dissapointing and lacked finesse.
Mika H — Google review
The restaurant looks cute and modern. The staircase to get to the restaurant looks super long. It’s like on the 3rd level. There is something above the restaurant, which seems to be a rooftop. The bar had a large selection of liquor. The crowd seems to be young. Maybe 20s to early 30s. For appetizers, we ordered ceviche and Iberian croquettes. The ceviche wasn’t bad. It was different from Mexican ceviches but tasty. Far much better than the croquettes. The croquettes were gross. Too salty and mushy. It was like the cook didn't finish frying the croquettes. For the entree, I ordered risotto with seafood. The waiters highly recommended it but it wasn’t good. My friend ordered a seafood pasta and it tasted dry. Had no sauce. I would rate all foods we ordered, except the ceviche, as 1/5. I'll give the ceviche 3/5. All in all, you will never see me here for food. Terrible! Service, however, was pretty good.
Ann S — Google review
One of the most impressive place We've been ever. Amazingly beautiful. With really nice cocktails and one of the best sea food pasta and risotto ever... so rich in lobster, octopus, shrimps, and so delicious! The two not so great things... the stuff is over observing us, they would ask you 5 times in 3 minuets, "do you finish", "can we take this", "do you want some more drinks"...it really start annoying us. Second issue: We like it a lot and we were trying to come there again, but on the spot they said it was closed and it will open after 2 hours despite it was in their working hours. After 30-40 min walk to there, we were disappointed to hear that, and for that not clear working hours policy. We did not try third time there.
Just C — Google review
Yarini is located in a town known for it’s beautiful art. The view is so amazing, especially when the sun is setting. The restaurant itself is so tucked away that I began to question if I was at the right place. Look for a place across the street from art painted on walls, a blue LED hat sign and maybe even a person sitting outside to guide you in. It is not wheelchair accessible in anyway shape of form. There are so many stairs to get to the seating area on each level. The food was amazing. We didn’t each much. We just stopped for a quick lunch and had the tacos and the cesar church salads the tacos I rate a 7/10. The salad was a 9/10. For desert we had caramel flan. To drink we had lemonade. Cuban lemonade is so different from USA lemonade in such a good way. I LOVE IT. Overall a good place worth checking out.
Balasia M — Google review
This upscale restaurant is one of the best hidden places in Habana that I've ever experienced! It isn't located in one of the central areas of Old Havana so my friends and I only casually found out about its existence scanning through Google Maps, but it was worth it. Getting here is a bit tricky if you're not taking a taxi and it is a bit of walk if you're staying in Old Havana anywhere near the Capitolio. From my observation, there was no wheelchair access and really no big signs outside to say that it is there, it is neatly tucked away between buildings and had a long staircase. Yarini is an open air restaurant with a lower and upper level and one of the best views in my opinion for a rooftop bar. The service and atmosphere are great for brunch, small dinner or just a mingle with friends. The ambience seems more set out for the upper class local and it is surely reflected in the price range and portion size of the food, but worth every penny. Yarini is not cheap and I would classify it in the moderate to expensive places to visit. The only downfall was ordering hamburgers and there was no bread and we weren't informed beforehand. The patty itself was pretty nice but a heads up would have been great, though we understood the difficulties the country does face when it comes to a constant food supply, we expected an actual hamburger. We also ordered tacos and an eggplant dish which were both very tasty. The drinks were 5 stars and the bartender was a pretty cool guy! Would definitely recommend for a lavish day or night out while visiting Habana. Reservations are very easy to make if you'd like to secure a table. There is also an extensive list of vegetarian options.

I love loved this spot. Rooftop dining with the bar on another level. So rustic and well put togther place. The drinks and food were good and very affordable. I would go back here. The staff was pleasant and courteous. I loved the view of the harbour from the rooftop and the plants that were strategically placed around the reataurant and bar..

El Gato Tuerto is a vibrant Cuban-themed bar and restaurant located near El Malecon in Havana. The establishment pays homage to the city's rich jazz heritage, featuring vintage interiors adorned with memorabilia and stories of Havana's musical past. It offers classic Cuban meals, cocktails, and regular live jazz music, creating a captivating atmosphere for visitors. The venue hosts live music performances by jazz players, boleros, tenors, and Cuban troubadours who interact with the audience.
Great place to have a drink close to the Malecon. You can enjoy a view while drinking or eating nice stuff. Service is polite and quick. The waitress was very nice with us because we didn't know all the dishes proposed. That was nice to talk with her. I had like a tapas moment. I didn't stay for diner but I had a good time. Nice view, nice food and good service. This place is perfect for concert apparently. Next time maybe :)

A dark bar with good air conditioning and great live music, however, the bar tender completely ignored me at the bar despite it not being busy. Also, they don't have a drink menu of any description. Manager: suggest fix the menu issue and train your staff to greet people who sit down and give them a menu.

Poor professionalism. It did not look like the old fun and vibrant Gato tuerto. Some people only know how to ruin businesses.

It was our first day in Havana so we didn’t know much about the rate conversion and the app to look at it. The staff was very nice but the pricing and exchange rate compared to the abundant nearby offerings makes this place wildly expensive The price for two vegetarian rice was 950.00CU plus 2 beers and the bill was for 28Euros. While most comparable places were offering around 330-350 CUP per USD you’ll get 100 here .. It’s apparent to me that because they’re a block away from the fancy National Hotel they are targeting a money-is-no-object market.. so it was ridiculous. So you MUST pay in CUP else you’ll be ripped off.

We ate upstairs before the music started and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Very affordable but food was just ok. Camarones were delicious but they were the smallest shrimp I have ever had. My husband got the pork…just ok. Comes with rice and salad/ garnish. No beans that night. Mojitos just ok. Service was friendly and attentive.

Jazz Club La Zorra Y El Cuervo is a renowned live music venue located in Havana's Vedado neighborhood. It is an intimate and iconic spot known for its live jazz performances, featuring a variety of genres from boleros to hip hop. The club's decor exudes vintage charm with dim lighting, vintage furniture, and photos of Cuba's musical legends adorning the walls. The atmosphere is vibrant, drawing a diverse crowd of both young and older patrons.
Very cool, subterranean jazz club within walking distance from the Cuban National Hotel. The young band we saw was magnificent. Highly recommended.

Super cool little jazz bar. Cheap drinks $3 usd for a mojito. Did not eat here. Excellent atmosphere and good musicians every night we visited Stopped in 3 nights out of 7 in Havana. Doors closed early as there wasn’t much of a crowd, but times are tough.

This is the perfect place for music and cocktails. The musicians are out of any league, cover is 500 pesos including a free drink, which is as cheap as it gets, cocktails are good and 250 pesos each, I just love this place. If you go, arrive between 21:30 and 22:00 if you wanna have the best seats, or around 22:30 when they start playing. Note that the jam will only last about an hour or two, but it ought to be an incredible moment!
Jules L — Google review
Nice, authentic Jazz club. Local talent and nice cocktails. Very small and a bit crammed, so make sure to be early for a concert to gain some decent seating. People will line up for at least an hour. So be there at 10 if the show starts at 11pm.
Andreas L — Google review
The rating is a bit unfair because of the band that was playing there that night. We came about 11 o clock in a Thursday night and the band was on a break. The cover charge was 300 pesos which included a drink so it was very reasonable. The club was small but cosy with a decent sound system. However the band was very very strange. We are used to more avant garde styles, it seems like the music was original music with a little bit of a drum and bass style. However it was just too much keyboard solos and drum solos and it was a waste of a trumpet, saxophone and trombone. I like drum solos and even bass solos but after three songs we left. It was just too heavy handed on the rhythm section.
Atlashrugger — Google review
What an experience. The musicians are so talented. I stayed for both sets. Such talent and positive energy. I was so captivated by the musicians. Definitely ranked in top 5 experiences in Cuba.

What beautiful music we heard. A small basement jazz club, very intimate. Drinks reasonably priced, though they open for 2 hours then as soon as music finished everyone deserted- including the staff. By 12am, staff were waiting for us to leave.

Fangio Habana Restaurant is a true gem nestled within the vibrant city of Havana, offering an enchanting blend of historic Cuban charm and contemporary elegance. The restaurant boasts a stunning interior that harmonizes classic design with modern elements, complemented by expansive outdoor spaces like a lovely patio and rooftop terrace. This chic setting creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the city.
UPDATE: The food and service are still top-notch! Ask for servers Claudia in the morning and Christian in the evening. They will treat you right! We love the food here, high-quality beef including entrecote, beef roast, and pasta such as four cheese gnocchi. Scrumptious desserts and friendly, high-quality servers will bring us back again! There is live music on the terrace on top of the Claxon Hotel and a full menu restaurant in the garden behind the hotel. Wait until the sun goes down for white tablecloths and romantic lighting to appear in the garden.

While visiting Havana, I decided to try this place for brunch based on a friend’s recommendation, but it was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, I found that part of the brunch menu was unavailable. The chairs and tables were dirty, which set a poor tone. When my glass of juice was served, it took 15 minutes for them to bring sugar, and there were no napkins provided. To make matters worse, I found hair in the food, which was extremely off-putting. The “crepes” were nothing more than poorly processed, frozen pancakes, and the fruit was far from fresh. I cannot recommend this place at all. There are far better options in Havana.

Very expensive food, for bad quality, We were also forced to pay 1000 CUP per person for a live band, which only started when we finished our diner. There are also so little items on the menu.

My favorite restaurant while in Havana for two weeks. Great vibe and decor, cool but friendly staff, high quality food from a clever menu. This cute spot is seaside with a lovely outdoor deck for sitting outside.

Cafe Fortuna Joe is a relatively new place in Old Havana. I think they used to be in the Vedado district. The interior of the cafe is very stylish. The food is delicious and the price in November-December 2024 was also quite affordable, considering the prices of restaurants in this area of Havana. The place itself is inconspicuous from the street, because the door is closed, but there is a doorman in a sailor's uniform standing at the door, who kindly invites you in. Since the place is growing in popularity, it may happen that sometimes there are no free seats.

We were recommended this place by a waitress and are so glad we went. They had wood oven pizzas being made on the back patio, multiple bars, and good people watching. There was a wait to get in (maybe 45 min) but we noticed everyone who pulled up in a car, versus those who walked, were let right in. Not sure why, but it happened 100% of the time.

Menu only in USD! It’s very expensive for la Havana. We asked for the menu in local currency but we were told there was none. This is not possible. Go to Madrigal bar instead, they have 400 cup mojitos and very good tapas which are half the price.

Went for my 1st and only time in May 2022. Was awesome, saw an amazing jazz concert. Funniest part - I was with a well connected local guy, we were saying it was a bit humid and hot outside. They brought us big square fans to place directly under our chairs and blow on us. Not saying they always do that, but was super cool of them that one time 👍👍👍

After 2 lousy pizzas in Cuba, this place offered redemption. It’s not NY quality pizza but it’s good and will satisfy your craving. The other dishes we got, the bruschetta and I cannot recall the others, were sub par.

Everything was fantastic! 5 stars!
Victoria L — Google review
I've been in this place two times. One inside, one outside. It is hard to describe it as just a bar since it tries to be so much more. The indoor section is more like a night club with music extremely loud and the outdoor section is more of a place to just sit a chill, talk to people while sharing a drink or a hooka or both. In the indoor section, they ran out of beer so, they started to sell the bottles straight from the boxes they are stored (hot) they would put them in a cooler with ice for a second and then sell it. On the outdoor area I ordered a hooka and they didn't know how to prepare it, they don't have the charcoals that are used for this so they would just grab a lumb of coal from the pizza oven and threw it on top, it would go off every two minutes and the waitress got upset the third time I asked her to replace it. I also saw a waitress mess up a pizza, it kinda slip out of the tray they use to put them in the oven, she called another waitress and between both of them put it back in and arranged it to make it look as if nothing happened.

El Chanchullero is a quirky and irreverent spot in Havana, Cuba that stands out by avoiding the typical fascination with Ernest Hemingway. The owners have taken an opposite approach, even displaying signs that read 'Hemingway was never here.' This establishment offers amazing cocktails and a varied food menu. It combines an unassuming atmosphere with traditional Cuban food served in large portions at affordable prices. The main courses, including various chicken and pork dishes, are particularly noteworthy.
This place is so good that I went twice for dinner in consecutive nights. The lobster was very good and I like that they gave lots of green and avocado with it. It’s very reasonably priced as many have commented. I surely recommend this place for good food, reasonable price and nice view from the rooftop.

One of the Worst Dining Experiences I've Had From start to finish, this place was a complete disappointment — but the worst part by far was the service, or rather, the lack of it. We ordered tacos as a starter and pizza as the main course, and made it very clear to the server that we wanted the dishes brought out separately. Instead, everything came out at once — tacos, pizza, and drinks all dumped on the table in one go. Then they just vanished. No plates, no forks, no napkins. Just food, as if we were expected to eat everything with our bare hands like we were at a picnic we didn’t sign up for. We waited, looked around, tried to get someone’s attention — but no one came back. It felt like we were completely forgotten the moment the food hit the table. As for the food itself? Tasteless and poorly made. The tacos were bland and soggy, and the pizza was dry and flavorless, with low-quality ingredients that clearly hadn’t seen seasoning in their lives. We didn’t even finish half of it. The atmosphere was just as neglected — dim lighting, sticky tables, and a general vibe that no one cared about anything happening there. It wasn’t just a bad night; it was a restaurant that clearly doesn't value its customers or their own reputation. If you’re considering eating here, don’t. There are plenty of better places that at least know how to serve food — and people.

the most recent menu photos are from 10 months ago, so I updated it. Why? I wanted to order a chicken soup and croquettes to go, but seeing they have substantially raised their prices, I could only get the soup (didn’t bring enough to cover such inflation) BUT the soup was delicious. I didn’t mind the 2000CUP from the 1200 that it was, but I find it weird to charge a 10% service charge when I asked for it to go. And then to be charged another 500 pesos for the to go container which wasn’t mentioned before ordering is also weird. I ended up paying 2700 pesos for a small order of soup.

We went here this Oct during low season and were pleasantly surprised what the small restaurant had to offer. We were given free appetizing chips and salsa-like sauce to start, which was delicious but I thought was a little spicy. 2 minutes later there was a new "salsa" in front of me. The woman cooking above us heard our conversation with the sever and immediately made me a small non-spicy version. I thought this was so thoughtful and appreciated cause it was delicious. The drinks were great, full of flavor and the food was good with big portions. Prices were great compared to American prices for what you get.

Great food and service! We had the beef tacos & lobster. They also serve sweet potato chips with their own homemade sweet & spicy salsa which is a really nice touch. O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar in Habana stands out as a true gem in the heart of the city, offering an exquisite dining experience that seamlessly blends flavors, ambiance, and exceptional service. Starting with the appetizer, the tostones con ropa vieja was a culinary masterpiece. The plantains were perfectly fried to a golden crisp, providing the ideal canvas for the rich and savory ropa vieja topping. The combination of textures and flavors showcased the chef's mastery in creating a dish that was not only delicious but also a perfect introduction to the Cuban culinary journey. For the main course, the Masas de Cerdo continued the culinary excellence. The pork morsels were succulent, flavorful, and expertly seasoned, reflecting a commitment to quality ingredients and skilled preparation. The dish offered a wonderful exploration of traditional Cuban flavors, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. However, what truly set O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar apart was the impeccable service. The staff demonstrated a genuine passion for hospitality, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional. From recommendations on the menu to timely service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the attention to detail was evident throughout. The ambiance of the tapas bar added to the overall charm. The cozy and stylish interior created a relaxed setting, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. The combination of delectable cuisine and a welcoming environment made O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar a standout dining destination in Habana. In conclusion, my experience at O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar was nothing short of delightful. Sloppy Joe's Bar in Havana is a historic and iconic establishment that has attracted tourists and celebrities for decades. Founded by Jose Garcia, an immigrant from Galicia, the bar became popular during the Prohibition era in the United States, drawing American tourists to Havana. After the Cuban Revolution, Sloppy Joe's was nationalized and eventually closed in 1965. However, it was meticulously restored and reopened in 2013 with support from the Office of the Historian of Havana.
Had great pina colada after visiting the museum of modern art 🖼️ ( it’s just around the corner) it’s a historic bar where artists visit dressed in thematic clothes. Great pitch stop. Didn’t eat anything.

Lively bar that’s good for drinks but steer clear of the food. The bar is well decorated and can get very busy in the evening however we get served promptly and the drinks are refreshing. The food is a different story. It wasn’t particularly busy, there was still seating available, but our food took more than an hour to arrive (we weren’t the only ones). And whilst I could excuse it if it was delicious but is was very average, lacking any flavour or skill (two pieces of toast with lettuce, ham, cheese and pork with no seasoning, sauce, herbs or spices). The tacos were better.

SCAMMERS! We ate tacos and burger and had two drinks. The waiter charged 3 out of 4 things more than its actual price. Also, in menu it says that you can pay with card but it is a lie. They did not have change in euros to return so they returned half euros half dollars. He even tried to take some change for himself. Shame on him!!!!!

We stayed at the Iberostar Parque Central Hotel so this bar was just round the corner. Large bar serving all the usual Cuban cocktails plus more. Burgers are quite good too, but don't leave it too late in the evening for a snack here as the kitchen closes quite early. A lot of history stuff is on the walls a round which is interesting to read while your Mojito is sliding down.

Wonderful rooftop restaurant in the heart of Havana’s old city. We had a great meal, tucked away from the afternoon sun, and many, many rounds of mojitos. Really enjoyed all of the dishes - many great bites and plates.

El Del Frente came as a recommendation from our guide. This place wouldn’t be out of place in Austin, Texas with its neon signs and roof top vibes. This was our first mojito of our Cuba trip, and quite possibly our best one. They do not skimp on the mint. Ceviche was superb, as was the red fish. We then switched to straight rum with Havana Club’s Selleciones de Maestros. This is a great spot for a low key dinner while spire on Havana.

El del Frente Restaurant in Habana has effortlessly secured its place as my second favorite dining spot in the city, offering an unforgettable blend of exquisite cuisine, lively ambiance, and impeccable service. The rooftop setting of El del Frente is an absolute highlight, providing a breathtaking view of the vibrant streets of Habana. It's the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of culinary indulgence. The stylish space creates a unique atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The service at El del Frente is nothing short of exceptional—fast, friendly, and attentive. The staff's enthusiasm for ensuring a delightful experience is palpable, adding a personal touch to every aspect of the meal. Their efficiency contributes to the overall enjoyment, allowing guests to savor both the delicious food and the lively ambiance. Speaking of the food, the croquetas served as the appetizer were a tantalizing introduction to the meal. Crispy on the outside and irresistibly creamy on the inside, they were a testament to the chef's expertise in mastering traditional Cuban flavors. For the main course, the lobster surpassed all expectations. Cooked to perfection, the succulent lobster meat showcased the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. The dish was a harmonious fusion of flavors, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. The ambiance at El del Frente is heightened by the electronic music, creating a modern and energetic atmosphere. The carefully curated playlist complements the overall vibe of the restaurant, enhancing the dining experience and adding a contemporary touch to the traditional Cuban culinary journey. It's noteworthy that El del Frente is owned by the same people as O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar, and the consistency in quality and service is evident. Both establishments reflect a dedication to providing guests with an exceptional culinary journey in the heart of Habana. In conclusion, El del Frente Restaurant is a culinary gem that ticks all the boxes—rooftop charm, swift and friendly service, delectable cuisine, and a vibrant ambiance. From the croquetas to the lobster, every moment spent at El del Frente is a celebration of the rich tapestry of Cuban flavors. It's a must-visit for those seeking an elevated dining experience in the heart of Habana.

A little hard to find but definitely a gem in Havana. Very photogenic location, great food and a nice atmosphere. Not a lot of seating but the roof terrace is nice. Quite crowded at times but a great place to visit none the less. Food was great and the staff was helpful. Helped with our dietary requirements, had vegetarian options.

We went here over the summer for lunch and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We ordered some croquettes, a pork escalope with some delicious spaghetti and a side of creamy mashed sweet potato and one fish dish that came with rice. Everything was great. The ambiance is lovely. The complimentary banana chips with guacamole was really good too. The spaghetti sauce was the best I've ever had. They gave us complimentary flowers at the end of our meal too! I'd love to visit again, if we head back to Havana!

Cafe El Dandy is a popular spot in Old Havana, attracting American tourists and locals alike. It's known for its late-night atmosphere and spicy vegetarian tacos. The cafe offers a mix of classic Cuban, Mexican, and Spanish flavors with intriguing brunch options. The retro ambiance is enhanced by eye-catching photo art featuring ballet dancers. During the day, it operates as a bustling cafe with affable greeters and busy waitstaff serving up delicious tapas and cocktails.
We really loved the Cafe El Dandy. The food was absolutely amazing. We were there for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner and were never disappointed. Every dish was delicious. The staff were amazing. They all had a really great vibe and made the whole experience special. The Ambiente was really cool and comfortable. I can absolutely recommend this lovely place!

One of my favorite cafes in Havana; fabulous ambience, great food, and the best guava smoothie I've ever had! I recommend getting the charcuterie board, sweet potato chips, and the mixed tacos!

Huevos rancheros here were delicious. They brought out a spicy sauce that was delish too. I had a beautiful juice that was amazing. It had beet, ginger, pineapple...I don't know what was in it but she recommended it when I asked for jugo natural. Our server was so cute.

We ate here multiple times on our trip to Havana and had a consistently wonderful experience. The staff were so helpful, accommodating and friendly, and the food was exceptional. We loved the Guacamole toast, eggs rancheros and pulled pork sandwich! Also we had the best fruit salad here!!

Great location in one of the most authentic squares downtown, and very cozy decoration. Tried the coffee there and it was really good. I just wish there is no habit of stressing the customers that I see almost everywhere in Havana cafes, and where the waiters come to you every second minute to ask you if you’d like to order something more!!

Really cool place in the centre of Havana. Having a coffee, cold drinks and great food while observe the daily life on the streets. We especially liked the amazing photos and artworks on the walls. And the bouncer/host/captain/mayor/whatever at the door: coolest guy.

El Dandy Café: The Coolest Spot in Havana El Dandy Café is hands down my favorite spot in Havana. Tucked away in the heart of Old Havana, this place has everything you could want—great coffee, amazing cocktails, and an effortlessly cool vibe. The location is perfect, right on Plaza del Cristo, where you can soak in the energy of the city while enjoying a cafecito or a mojito. What really makes El Dandy stand out is the atmosphere. It’s a mix of old-school Cuban charm and modern eclectic style, with vintage décor, local art on the walls, and a soundtrack that sets the perfect mood. Whether you’re here to start your morning with a strong espresso or wind down with a rum cocktail, the crowd is always an interesting mix of locals, travelers, and creatives. The staff is friendly, the drinks are top-notch, and the people-watching is unbeatable. If you’re looking for a place to kick back, connect with cool people, and experience Havana’s laid-back magic, El Dandy is the spot. Highly recommend!

Located at #20 on a charming street in Old Havana, Jesús María 20 is not just a restaurant but also a three-story open gallery adorned with colorful graffiti. As part of the San Isidro District of Art community project, this local business contributes to the urban and cultural revival of the area.
We had excellent ceviche and delicious drinks. Definitely above average food quality and price ist decent. You have a look at old havanna buildings and at the same street art is all around. You should come here when in Havanna!

The place has an amazing location with incredible graffiti. They also where very attentive, the personal is very good. The unique thing that the plantain portion is kind of small. Also the price can be high for some of the dishes. The beverages where very good and nice. The presentation of some of the dishes can be improved.

Yes, it is a great restaurant, though to be fair prices are on the high side. For this reason you will never see any Cubans in this sort of restaurants, and it is a little weird to eat out in Cuba while surrounded only by Americans and Europeans. The rooftop area is really cozy and romantic.

Fabulous rooftop bar and restaurant in the south of Havana old town. Fabulous cocktails, and modern Cuban food at a excellent price. Handsome barmen and waiters couldn't be more attentive or professional. By far one of the best restaurants in Havana,. Good music and relaxed atmosphere. The staff was beyond accommodating not only at the restaurant but also in helping us find a taxi large enough for our group and suggesting places for us to visit after dinner! Could not recommend this place more for everything, food, service, drinks and how beautiful they have decorated the building!

Disco club
Casa de la Música de Miramar is a vibrant and lively music venue located in the Miramar neighborhood of Havana. Established in 1995 to support the Cuban record industry, it showcases both established and up-and-coming salsa bands with two daily shows. The midsize concert area features a stage, bar, tables, and dance floor for visitors to enjoy live performances and salsa dancing.
One of my FAVORITE experiences from my trip to Havana! We were following a recommendation from a local on places to dance. Got there about an hour before the main showroom opened and were greeted like we were stepping out on to a red carpet. They have a bar waiting area that was fun enough to go to just for a drink. When the main room opened, we were able to choose a table right up at the front. Drinks were available at bars to each side. When the show started we were treated to an old school night club SHOW! The MC was a comedian and quite funny, in Spanish. The crowd was a nice mix of locals and some tourists like us but mostly locals. During the first intermission in the show, music was played and most Cubans will take any opportunity to dance. So we did, with the locals on either side of us. Dancing with breaks to enjoy the show. Left there with the biggest smiles on our faces!
Kimberly G — Google review
I got there around midnight not knowing to expect but there was a great show that was just starting (I think). Cost 15 CUC. Performers were verryyy talented. The set changed and the band sang till 3 in the morning. About 20 mins from the Havana Port. Worth visiting for a late night salsa show.
Taylore W — Google review
This place was amazing! However there was a cover charge at least on the night we went which we were weary about but decided to pay it and try our luck!! We were not disappointed, the dancing, the performance, it was truly one of a kind and so much fun to embrace!! The drinks are strong and the music is good, I didn't even realize how early in the morning it was when we decided to head home!!
Rachel P — Google review
Seems it was separated by Cubans on the front and visitors in the front. The location was large but they stuffed so many table and chairs it could feel claustrophobic. The drinks were decent, however they don't have most of the items on the menu. The only great thing about this location was the love music/band.
Kenya H — Google review
Very nice salsa club. Live bands every night. Entrance is usually around 10-15 cuc for tourists and around 4 cuc for locals. It's a shame that they don't have a dance floor. You have to dance between the tables, which is not always easy. Prices are reasonable.
Daghan C — Google review
The straight: Great live Cuban music. Time and Price: We visited for the early set (4-10) so keep this in mind. We arrived about 5, the live music started around 6:00 and we stayed until about 8. There was a 10cuc cover which is outrageous considering that Doctors in Cuba make about 40cuc a month! Yet there weren't many obvious tourists there. Drinks were more reasonably priced at 2.50 cuc per person. Music and Dancing: The live music was good and both bands played about 45 minutes each. Prior to them playing there were videos up on the screen. ----- The disappointment for me came in the fact that there was no where to actually dance. The little walking area was where most people would be or they would stack chairs and dance near the table, but there was no sitting to the side and watching or joining on a dance floor, just many chairs and tables. But you can't play Salsa and not expect everyone to want to move so the setup was impractical and I'd actually sat out dancing, which isn't like me. ---- Side note: The bathroom has an attendant and like many places in Cuba, you bring change for her and she'll give you tissue and then soap. Final: Would I go back? Possibly for some live music, but I'd definitely want to check out other places first.
Travel X — Google review
We saw the 'early' show at 9pm and loved it, it's impossible not to dance when you hear this music. Terrific value at only 10cuc each (~$10), drinks extra but not overpriced.
Alan B — Google review
Bring some layers if you get cold easily. We arrived early to get good seats, but A/C was on full blast in anticipation of full house on Friday night. Music and drinks were great, but as typically Cuba the bathrooms were not nice and the taxi mafia outside had only overpriced rides back to Havana Centro in exhaust filled taxis.

Submarino Amarillo is a vibrant and unique music venue that combines the electric energy of rock 'n roll with the soulful rhythms of jazz. Located near John Lennon Park, this Yellow Submarine-themed space offers live music most nights, featuring local bands covering classic rock hits. The club's 80s-like ambiance and album cover table tops create a fantastic atmosphere for Beatles fans to enjoy great service, food, and of course, music.
A great find in the heart of a safe area of Havana. The live band did exceptionally good covers of modern & classic rock songs. Atmosphere was fun, a great place to hang out. Not a 'pick up' bar which was a nice change in Havana. Go early if you are in a group to get a table, singles/couples can usually find something or share with others. Enjoy!
Gord B — Google review
A stop for any Beatles fan. Next to John Lennon park. Live music most nights. Table tops are album covers. Be aware that they are open til 19:30, closed, reopen at 21:30. Limited beer choices but one goes there for the ambiance not the cerveza selection.

I love this place. It's the one place I know in Havana that I can go with friends and share our love for rock and roll music. I don't rate a 5/5 because the lack of variety in drinks and tapas, and because an important share of the people that is going nowadays wants a more commercial pop music that is not what the pure rock listeners expect neither what the place is intended to deliver.

2 weeks before I was in Habana after a 13 hours flight. I was very tired and hungry Live music, coffee and dessert I give 5 stars. The location is in the heart of Habana old town. Sitting outside while drinking coffee with the street musicians took me to paradise..

A very nice and quiet restaurant. Very elegant. A place you'd want to take your fiancée, meet your in-laws, etc., to escape the noise and bustle of Old Havana. The food is elegant, the portions aren't too large, but it's tasty. Mine was too salty, but I won't complain. I didn't drink there, but a friend said the drink was very tasty and refreshing. I understand the restaurant being empty, but that doesn't mean seven staff members should sit and stare at us throughout dinner. It's not comfortable.

If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of the golden 20s and 30s in Cuban, you should visit this very elegant-looking restaurant with luxurious décor, large mirrors and paintings, bow-tied waiters, and live piano and violin music. It is a re-creation of the atmosphere of the pre-revolution aristocrats. Very charming.

This is probably the finest dining in Havana. First class service, a fully stocked bar and extensive wine menu. It is convenient to old Havana and just steps across the square from where taxis park. Some seating is outside but I find the quiet environment inside more appealing for a long dinner experience. Make sure to order a caesar salad since it's prepped at the table and don't pick a fight with Chino if he's your server. He was Cuba's top ranking boxer and a total gentleman.

We really liked our time spent in this cafe. It is located on the old square. The service was excellent, they are very kind and nice. Visited this twice. The first time I was able to pay with card fine, the second time they suddenly imposed a lower limit of $35/ $50 for card payments.... after I ordered, and basically forced me to order more. Then they have extra 15% charge for card payment, AND they convert the currency CUP-> USD-> Mexican pesos, each step with very poor rates... Didn't like this at all, outright scam!!!! STAY AWAY!!
John — Google review
This place is a SCAM. Besides prices being ridiculously high, the food quality was not that good. Service was totally lacking at several interactions. And then the bill comes and it says “suggested tip”, below the total. And then the manager says that the 10-15% tip is required. SCAM! You are forced to pay for the crappy service that they provided. I would definitely not recommend coming here as I don’t think they understand the words “suggested tip” With that being said, my “suggestion” is that you never ever visit this place.

We loved it so much that we came for the second time! If you are eating meat, go eat that Cuban Sandwich! (I didn't try the other stuff, but i am sure the other options are as tasty!) The bread was fresh (finally somebody is offering fresh crunchy bread!) and meat was so well cooked, the details with the sauce and pickle were so good. Very friendly, attentive staff who gave us the free wifi password without us asking. It is kinda on the pricier side but if you can pay for it, I would totally recommend. They also charge for service fee, which was more common than I thought in Cuba. I drink coffee a lot, I wasn't blown away by it but it felt quite decent. The cocktails are much more recommended than the coffee :)

Cozy and dimming lights. The decor is nice overall. However, the art pictures are very provocative. Just brace yourself when going upstairs to use the bathroom....very suggestive artwork. It's not a kid friendly place. It's an adult vibe. The food was ok...I like well seasoned food. We had a large party so we had the prix fix menu. Additionally, it is known for its Pinchos de Cerdo, traditionally skewered and served hot off a sidewalk grill.
I enjoyed el Pazillo. I went for a small bite and had a cocktail. Food was good and the cocktail decent (I have trired better versions but satisfactory still) The vibe and decor were lovely. And the service and prices ( in local money not in dollars euros as so many places ) were great! I totally recommend it if you are nearby!

Maybe we were in the wrong place at the wrong time? We ordered tostones and tacos. The tostones were dry despite being filled. Already drank and need to pay they say. Total rip off and scam to foreigner, will never come back and don’t come here!!! They scam and double your bill!!! Horrible experience

Very nice local bar in Havana Vedado. The cocktails are various and delicious for a fair price. The food is also highly recommendable - we tried tacos and chicken nuggets. Depending on the day of the week there is also a special action, e.g. very cheap mojitos. Moreover, from 17 till 20 o’clock is a happy hour with cocktails half of the price.

Ordered straight from the menu the 2400 peso beer offer, got the bill for 4900 pesos beer and told it’s because the beer are imported. I never asked for imported beer. Because I’m a foreigner with my Cuban boyfriend I’m charged more. Will never come back and scamming business practices, was really excited to try this bar too. Never will come back and don’t recommend this scamming place

A group of friends and I (4) came on a Thursday night. We ordered shots and food, the waiter gave us beers instead of shots (⁉️), we returned 2 of the beers and drank the other 2. Few minutes later ordered another single shot and 2 beers. They ended up charging us for 4 beers (✅) and 4 shots (❌), explained to the waiter that we only had 4 beers and 1 shot, after 20 minutes of arguing, they agreed to take off the 3 extra shots (✅). We then paid 5500 for a 5300 tab (CUP) and asked for the change, waiter refused our change and called the bouncer to kick us out for being problematic (⁉️). Waited outside respectfully asking for compensation of the extra 200 CUP and we're refused and forcefully removed from the area (⁉️). Unfriendly, unwilling to cooperate, and took advantage of tourists.

Coco Blue y La Zorra Peluda is a hidden gem nestled in the charming Vedado neighborhood of Havana, where rustic charm meets vibrant local culture. This enchanting open-air venue, crafted by Cuban sculptor Jose Emilio Fuentes Fonseca, features a delightful restaurant and bar surrounded by lush greenery and twinkling lights. It's an ideal spot to unwind with a drink or enjoy captivating performances from talented local artists on its inviting stage.
A lovely Vedado gem. Rita and partner, Jeff, have built it from the ground up. Jeff's art & sculpture add a gallery feel to the already-beautiful environment and staff was attentive and warm. Owner Rita spoke to me in advance of our group coming, and it's clear she goes above and beyond--her passion for the restaurant, travel and Cuba obvious and infectious. Great music the Saturday we were there, which was in the middle of the blackout--but candlelight and hard work of staff/owners made it (maybe?) even lovelier than it would have been with electricity. And Rita came around and talked to everyone during dinner, sharing the super interesting story of migrating to Havana from NYC. Can't recommend enough.

When folks ask me for Havana recommendations- I’ll point them to this restaurant. It boasts a stunning gallery, fresh food, & a charming outdoor patio. We were recommended this place on my last evening in Havana- the timing was perfect as we arrived in time for an incredible jazz show. This place has it all and is only a short walk away from the ever popular Fabrica.

So happy that we stumbled upon this inviting spot today! We are staying in the stylish Vedado area of Havana for this trip and the power went out so we went on a walk to explore the area and the staff welcomed us inside. Alexa snagged a cold beer for me and the kitchen worked up a coffee for my friend (but no food was available as their kitchen wasn’t equipped to cook food without any power source.) The atmosphere is very welcoming (playful artwork throughout) and they have live music tonight / so we will be back 💁‍♀️💜🇨🇺. Felt grateful to have met the owners (Rita and her talented artist husband named Jeff.) A truly wonderful hidden gem. . .

This is such a great find in Havana! Immediately, you know you’re in a unique place surrounded by local art and gardens that decorate the space. Plus the food and service are top notch. There are live music nights to promote local culture. I went on a Friday night and I got front row seats to a local all girls rap show. Such an incredible experience and place! I highly recommend you stop by!

(Translated by Google) Antonia, a special place… more than a bar or restaurant, it is a cultural center and a local development project. The decoration and the story created around a fictional character, Antonia, a woman who arrived in Havana at the beginning of the 20th century in the womb of her Cadiz mother,…. It is worth asking just to be told the story of that fascinating woman whose life is evoked by the decoration of the place. A Cuban writer (Maité Hernández Lorenzo) created the story of El Antonia with the story of this woman. I have been fortunate to enjoy El Antonia with the greatest musicians and artists of the current Cuban scene. The prices are very affordable and the food is very good, but the best thing is the service. The kindness of the waitresses and mixologists makes up for the difficulties that Cuban restaurants encounter in finding the raw materials that allow them to have all the dishes on the menu available. Magnificent cocktail bar, I am a fan of their canchánchara (brandy, lemon and honey), and their daiquiris (advised by the neighbor across the street, Roly, a waiter for almost 40 years at El Floridita, now retired but who dresses in his best clothes to make daiquiris on some special occasions at El Antonia). In short, I am a fan of this place that stands out for its decoration, warmth and human quality. Search social networks (@el_antonia_havana and @elantonia_cuba) for concert dates and other social and cultural activities. This place is a fraction of how good it used to be. I don’t even know why it’s open anymore. The bartender service was slow as snails. And there was nobody in the entire bar on a Saturday night! We arrived at 12:30 and we were the only customers. And the bartender continued to move so slow. Just not excited to make two drinks. The drinks were double rum and cokes and they cost $21. Total. Unbelievable. And of course we couldn’t sit where we wanted to because certain sections were VIP but nobody was there! So finally when we did get a couch, we wanted to move the large bottle bucket out of the way, and the inside security would not allow us to move it out of the way. As if it made a difference. We couldn’t even use the table because the big bucket was in the way. Talk about stupid employees. I would never go back to this place. Oh and these clowns didn’t even have plastic cups to take our drinks to go

I went to this club yesterday night. The party was very good until a bouncer decided that my friend (born in Cuba) didn’t meet the facial criteria of the club. He punched him in the face and put my friend out for absolutely no reason ! I usually don't write reviews, but I have to say that I've never experienced racism as I have in this place. Although I was able to get in without difficulty given that I am a light skinned Cuban, my African American friend (whom is a US thoracic Surgeon) was unable to get in. I had to go to the front door and they tell them that he was with me. In addition, when asked for a table, I was told that I had to order a bottle. Meanwhile, several light skinned Cubans were able to get a table despite consuming beer all night. Ironically, we end up spending 500+. This is the first time I have felt so embarrassed, and now I fully understand what they mean by in Cuba racism/ prejudice is worse than any part of Latin America. Anyway, you'd have to try in for yourself. Fyi: there are my places better than this place (Fabrica del arte, Espacios, L&M,ect.. just Google it)

Located on Monserrate Street in Havana, the Monserrate Bar was once the lobby of the now-defunct Monserrate Hotel. Renovated and reopened in 1994, it is more popular as a bar than a restaurant. The place is adorned with pictures of famous Cuban musicians like Benny More and Bola de Nieve, reflecting its strong musical ambiance. Despite attracting tourists and locals alike, it manages to maintain a neighborhood feel.
With just a few hours to soak in the spirit of Havana, Monserrate Bar was the perfect place for food, fun and absolutely incredible music. This was truly one of the most fun afternoons I have ever spent. The band, Novel Son, could not be better. Each musician was outstanding in their own right, and together, they are magic. The food was good, mojitos yummy (and powereful)...can"t get back soon enough!

It would be fun for a beer and music. It sure wasn’t for dinner. Overcooked and over spiced lobster boring looking brochettes, but at least cold beer. Come if there’s music. Otherwise avoid there are better choices.

Once I finally got the waiters attention and was able to place an order, I was told that they did not have the national beer called Cristal – only Heineken. Since I am allergic to that brand, I ask for a soda or a refresco. Sorry, none of that either, but he could get me a Coca Cola for $2.50 – but with cocktails normally going costing $4, I instead order a Mojito. The waiter even said ‘this is an expensive bar’. I was would rather call it rude and over-priced. Odd that they did not have the national beer since listed plainly listed on the menu is Cerveza National. Also, the beer tap knobs are Cristal as are the huge logos plastered all over the beer coolers. However, the entertainment was just as good as any other you can find in Havana whether it is an ‘expensive bar’ or not.

Finca Vigía, also known as the "lookout farm," is a restored house-turned-museum that was once the home of renowned author Ernest Hemingway. Located in San Francisco de Paula, this museum offers guided tours and provides a glimpse into the life of the celebrated writer.
This was a must on our to do list this time in Cuba. As we had no time on our last visit we were thrilled to get here this time. Our guide Jo was excellent. As a graduate in history you could tell he had a passion for his country. By the time we arrived we already felt we had become part of that history. The place did not lose any of our expectations. Although looking a little tired and needing a bit of TLC it was quite wonderous. You could almost feel his presence. We were given 30 minutes to view everything which was probably not enough as it became more of a photo session and not enough to take in the atmosphere. All in all a great adventure

Hemingway museum is a lovely place to visit. What is strange is that you are not allowed to go into the house just look through the windows. The gardens are amazing too
Lee — Google review
This museum is so interesting. You can’t enter the house, but you can see through all the doors and windows. In addition, for a small tip, the women inside will take pictures for you. It’s very interesting and with information from local tour guides and a friend, I was also able to learn more about Hemingway and his life when he lived here. I also took some of these photos myself. You are able to see his fishing boat, his hunting trophies, lots of photos, including him with Fidel Castro.
Sonia — Google review
What a true waste of time! Mrs G and I were excited to see the house but it was a letdown. You can’t walk into it at all. All you can do is peer through doors and windows. Combine that with the throngs at the museum, your time would be better spent looking at the pics and walking around Havana. It’s also a shame to see how poorly the museum is preserving the items.

Well worth the visit, really loved how in tacked everything was in the House, just like Hemingway was there yesterday. San Cristóbal is a charming restaurant located in Central Havana, offering a taste of colonial Cuba through its eccentric and friendly atmosphere. The decor exudes retro charm with piles of old books, vintage furniture, black and white photographs, and vintage bullfighting posters. The menu features traditional dishes such as yucca, malanga, and shrimp, along with house specialties like lobster and lamb served on 19th-century china.
Stopped by this restaurant while exploring the neighbourhood. Was pleasantly surprised with the service and food. I had a cappuccino to start followed by the sweet and sour chicken with a side of rice and veggies. After the delicious meal we were given a complimentary cigar and shot of rum which added to the experience. I would definetly return here to try other items.

This restaurant is very specific. The interior is interesting, decorated differently from any other restaurant. It is large, has separate rooms where you can also sit. A reservation is recommended, because it is usually always full. The food is varied. The service is good, they are very kind and nice. The prices are quite affordable considering all the above. The location is in the center of Old Havana. Recommendation!

As English speaking American women, the service provided was horrible. The host at the entrance was the main person that was nice to us and offered us a tour. Our server that wore dark glasses ignored us multiple times. We do understand Spanish half decently so his rude sarcasm was not lost on us. Everything was dirty. Every wine glass was left open end upside and covered with dust and other dirty marks, flies and mosquitos. These glasses were never removed like on other people’s tables. My grilled lobster was completely overcooked and difficult to eat. Rice and vegetables had vegetables very lightly cooked, Carrots were still pretty firm on the inside. We asked for the check no less than 6 times until finally asking the host when he walked by and he made it happen. The power was out when we arrived but that was the least of the problems. Have had much better experiences elsewhere in Havana.

Out of our five days in Havana we spent three dinners at San Cristobal. The restaurant has a really calm authentic ambience. The main room has really nice music. The other rooms just feels like you’re in a classic restaurant from the 50s. The service : we never felt so welcomed in a restaurant, every time we were there, we ended up the night smoking cigars and drinking rum and having the waiters give us probably the best service ever. One night we spend there four hours because it was just so welcoming. Did not skip this location on your visit to Cuba. Every other restaurant we went to felt like it was a tourist trap. The prices were really fair and everything was delicious.

Fantastic gem I stumbled upon. Great atmosphere The manager at the entrance was a but snooty and denied me a table at first, but i stuck around and then the chef (and the owner i think?) came out and gave me a table immediately with a big smile. The atmosphere was electric and the menu was really nice. The same manager gave me a tour of the restaurant later. Would come again.

This place is absolutely incredible. The food is very good, cocktails are great and the service is the best I’ve ever seen. It was a real pleasure to eat here and we are going back again tomorrow. We had the shared platter, fish and shrimps also the mix meat main. While the food is very good for the 5/6 restaurants we tried in Havana, what really made the experience for us was the service. This felt like watching the best team work together and deliver a fantastic experience for the diners. These guys could easily charge twice but it feels they are passionate about what they do and they go above and beyond for every client. My hats off to them.

Brilliant restaurant and absolute must while in Havana. Not only is the food comparably inexpensive but the portion size and flavours are spot on. The food was absurdly inexpensive by USA inflation standards. 2 lobster tails for $3 USD total and 2 beef sirloins for $5 USD total. The service was lacking though. Waiter possibly wasn’t trained. We ordered beef sirloin and not asked how we want it cooked. It came out cold in the center with absolutely no seasoning of any kind. They serve the lobster three ways. The waiter picked grilled for us I guess. Great atmosphere and the greeter makes you feel it will be a first class dining experience but in the end it was a big disappointment.

Legendarios del Guajirito is a renowned venue in Old Havana where former members of Buena Vista Social Club, Afro-Cuban All Stars, and Tropicana Cabaret come together to deliver captivating performances of traditional Cuban music. The staff dons traditional Cuban attire, creating an authentic atmosphere for guests to enjoy the rhythms of classic Cuban songs while savoring authentic cuisine and cocktails.
Excellent show with Cuban music, dancing and live band. Professional entertainers who know how to interract with the audience. We were a group of 8 and had payed 35 USD/person which included 3 drinks. The show took about 2 hours and it was one of the best experiences in Havana for me.

Best place i have visited in Havana, maximum atmosphere. We bought 2 tickets, 35 usd each, including entrance and 4 free drinks to each. With or without alcohol. The band started at 21:30, up to 23:00. There were 6-7 different singers, each one of them was fantastic. All players were excellent 👏 Played salsa, meringue, som, and others. There were 2 dancers so professionals and made a lot of the atmosphere... they invited us to dance, every one was happy at this night. The show was i Rosalina building, I understand this wasn't the original place for the band but amazing historic building that was the house of the spanish king.

It with everything we expected and much, much more. A great night of music and dancing with a wonderful vibrant atmosphere. To think that this began in Cuba during the 1940s to early 1960s and continues in various formats up until the present day. The band consisted of talented musicians who played instruments such as drums, bongos, trumpets, and keyboards. It is incredibly high-energy and engaging of the audience and even I was able to get up on stage and for a brief moment was a member of the club. A really great night in Havana.

Such a fun and must see place. The artists are incredible. The music and the dancing is so much fun. We had amazing time
Luchia — Google review
I highly recommend it. There are 2 halls with a show at the same time. I was very pleased with the team that presented the show in our hall, as for the singers, they were extraordinary, I left with the most beautiful happy vibe.
Cornelia B — Google review
Honest review - the show is nice. The food is the bear minimum. We payed 50€ per person. When paying they told us at the counter that lobster would be an option but when dinning the options were chicken and pizza margarita. Overall I would classify it as a tourist trap and wouldn't recommend spending 50€ here.

They showcase some 1950s Cuban songs and it was interesting. They have packages with and without dinner. It was USD60 per person with dinner and start from 8PM till 1130PM.

If I could leave more stars, I would. Food, entertainment and service!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an amazing Cabaret show! From start to finish, the entertainers were mind blowing. Show the entertainment and engagement with the audience kept us wondering what could be better than this scene right here? The conga line? The talent of the famous 1950’s musicians especially the percussionist! From research; surviving members of the Buena Vista Social Club, such as veteran singer Omara Portuondo, trumpeter Manuel "Guajiro" Mirabal, laúd player Barbarito Torres and trombonist and conductor Jesús "Aguaje" Ramos currently tour worldwide, to popular acclaim, with new members such as singer Carlos Calunga and pianist Rolando Luna, as part of a 13-member band called Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club. The dinner portion of the evening did not disappoint as we had a VIP package for our group of 10, and a front row table. Which was front and center of the all the entertainers, watching their intimate relationships on stage. We started out with appetizers, dinner, entrée with multiple sides and then a tasty dessert. Our drinks included three cocktails each person. Fish, meats, veggies, rice, beans.

Mojito-Mojito is a top choice for experiencing authentic Cuban cuisine in Havana. This bustling restaurant offers a local vibe and live Cuban music, making it perfect for a lively night out. Tucked away from the main tourist areas, Mojito-Mojito provides a taste of genuine Cuban street life and pays homage to the country's culinary heritage.
Stopped just for drinks ...excellent e mojito(!) great people, live music was so invigorating we all danced. The waiter took his time to educate us about local rum....yum yum 😋

Regrettably I was the only patron to be visiting this excellent bar & restaurant on Sunday for lunch 1st June 2025 at 13.00hrs. Will visit again. No to be missed if you visiting Havana. Lacked atmosphere but enjoyed the peace and quiet too.

Excellent food service and live music. The staff were amazing and a rest live band playing
Michelle E — Google review
This restaurant is discreetly located near Plaza Vieja, with a menu focused on more modern cuisine. I had good beef carpaccio and ceviche as starter. Very well prepared dishes and presentation, but not really good on seasoning (for me) and pricey compare to other restaurant that offer similar dishes. We ordered some of the mojitos on the menu, which has some interesting variations on the classic drink. Very good and humorous service, as well as one of the best Cuban music groups we've heard in Havana. It was a great experience.

We 'popped' in for dinner but ended up staying all night. It was on Mothers Day so was very busy but got a table outside. The food was fantastic and of course so where the mojito's! Live music was playing at a window just behind us and they were superb. Thanks for a great evening.

Great place for dinner. We visited twice with mixed results. The first time we ordered off the standard menu and it was excellent. The second time, they had a special holiday menu and it was only average. One of the top places to visit in Havana.

Friendly service, we visited this place twice during our holiday... The mojito was nothing special, but the pineapple daiquiri was awesome :)! Grilled shrimp was also delicious! On the top there is often live music! :)

A vibrant and colorful alleyway located in Central Havana. The alleyway is known for its unique and eclectic artwork, which includes murals, sculptures, and installations created by local artists. The artwork often depicts Afro-Cuban culture and religion, with vibrant colors and intricate patterns. This area is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, with live music performances and dance shows often taking place in the alleyway. Visitors can also shop for souvenirs and handcrafted items at the market stalls that line the street.

SCAM! We were walking along the malecon street when 2 cubans walking next to us started talking to us. We started making conversation with them thinking it was nice to interact with the locals. Then they mentioned that they were going to this place were music and dancing will be happening etc. we thought it sounded nice so we went there. At first we liked the scene, loads of colors and art around. The two cubans started showing us around which we didn’t really ask them to as we expected to see dancing and music and were waiting for that..but there was nothing yet. Then they continued to show us around which soon felt like they were giving us a tour and something started to feel wrong. We started realizing that this was a scam as the led us towards the bar, we kept asking them when will the show start? In 5 minutes they kept saying…(no indication of any festival happening like they mentioned) the bar had no menu, they started being a bit pushy with sitting down with them for a drink, the barman too, we could see other tourists at the tables around accompanied by cubans, and thats when we decided to leave as it was obvious to us that it was a trap to give them money.. we told them that we have something else arranged and they still did not miss the chance to ask for money from us… It is a total shame, we really thought that they were being friendly with us but they only wanted our money. So disappointing!! The man on the second picture was one of the cubans who took us there ( just to avoid being scammed too)

The hotel has hosted numerous famous figures such as Nat King Cole, Winston Churchill, Ernest Hemingway, Frank Sinatra, Eva Gardner, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. With 460 rooms and various dining options and bars available on-site along with outdoor pools and live entertainment.
Amazing place. Are the rooms old? Sure. So what. We booked it as a package from Canada at crazy bargain prices so maybe we’re less annoyed than those who paid a fortune to stay there. It’s a wonderful place. They key to really enjoying it is to never change money there, or use your credit card, or eat anything but the included breakfast and snacks by the pool. Change your cash on the street for literally 3 times their rate. 3 times! There are tons of great restaurants really near by (rule: never eat out at any govt run restaurant, no matter how fancy, only eat at the private ones) that not only accept your money to pay for dinner but will also exchange even more for pesos. Then you go to the National for great drinks and absolutely wonderful non stop music and pay in pesos. Suddenly your $8 drink is now $2.60! Get smart! We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Love this place.

It is a historical hotel with excellent high end service. The only drawback is the location is a bit far away from the old town and touristy areas. The humidor is definitely well stocked and worthwhile walking into to check out the cigar selection especially the Cohibas. Its like walking into a jewellery store for cigars .

Two years ago, the hotel had prices in pesos that were affordable for Cubans to try maybe every once in a while. A beer back then was about 300 pesos. Now, it is a US dollar cash grab. Everything is now in US dollars on the menu. Very sad. Before, three beers would cost you the equivalent of about two or three dollars USD. Now, three beers comes to over $13. Over 2000 pesos per beer!! More than twice as much as the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to in Cuba. That is crazy, and I do not recommend supporting this place at all. Still well worth going and viewing the grounds and inside the hotel. I just would not buy any food or beverage there.

We struggled to find decent food in Havana; and luckily our Airbnb was located right next to this cafe. We had dinner at this place and they accommodated our dietary restrictions. Next morning we also had breakfast at this place, which was good except the Italian pastry, which was dry and not fresh. Highly recommend their pasta, cheese pizza, and lemon juice ( lemon + mint + ginger + honey ). They accept cards, which is a huge plus in Cuba.

Nice place to listen music in Obispo. The band with Alexander, Jorge, Vicente, William... is just amazing. Take a seat in front of them, ask for a nice drink, food (only if you need it) and enjoy. Nothing compares with a good son, una rumba o uns guaracha in La Lluvia.

Tropicana Club is a renowned pre-revolutionary cabaret in Cuba, offering Vegas-style entertainment with scantily clad performers, an impressive orchestra, and acrobatic shows beneath the stars of Havana's night sky. Established in 1939, it has been a symbol of Cuban nightlife and hosted famous stars like Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. The current show features a variety of Cuban music genres and lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes starting at 22:00.
An incredible show with so much vibrancy and so much going on. Took the food/drink package - initially, you can feel a little disappointed with the food, as it is quite basic. But, considering the price included the three courses, a rum and coke and bottle of Havana Club 3 Anos and a can of cola AND many, many staff and dancers, you can start to appreciate how the money paid doesn't leave much room for a big spread.
Simon A — Google review
Very positive experience here. Went with a tour group and I feel like the show was worth it. Yes it’s a late night, but just know that going in and the music and show is very lively and upbeat. If you’re in Havana for an evening and have time, it’s interesting. I didn’t eat there food.
Adam K — Google review
Even though the Tropicana is notoriously a tourist trap, I think that it is worth at least one look. If you want a very interesting evening, I recommend you do what we did; we arrived way earlier than we needed to at like 7:30 pm. If you purchased the dinner tickets like us, they will seat you in their restaurant off to the side. While not the nicest place, it felt exclusive and almost like we were in the mafia. The food was fairly decent as well, drinks are not too expensive as far as tourist prices are concerned ($5 beer, $8 cocktails). Then the cabaret show was pretty good after all else! We did not get cigars though. All in all it was a cool experience, but definitely more of a one and done type thing.
James A — Google review
After reading some of the less flattering reviews I was skeptical but we were already booked. The show was absolutely fantastic. Hours of very skilled dancers well choreographed. Food was more snack than meal but we knew that in advance. I was very happy that we were able to see this wonderful and historic show.

Had a trip to the famous club we were picked up by a classic car driven though the streets of havana and then went ito the club. the entrance is very tropical and lots of trees and lights inside is more of that but bigger its a big stage and you have a good view from most seats. the rum was very nice and the service was very good. the show is all in spanish but i was able to follow the story well most of it. the show is very colorful and lots to see i enjoyed the whole experience. i would recommend this to anyone looking for a good night out in cuba.

Brewpub
Cerveceria Antiguo Almacen de la Madera y El Tabaco, located on busy Calle Obispo, is a wonderful brewery and restaurant with a German beer hall ambiance. The sea views from the verandah add to its charm. The brewery offers three good and solid beers with low enough ABV to enjoy multiple mugs. Despite not being a regular beer drinker, many visitors were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the beer served here.
What a wonderful place, and a kindly brewery. Sea views from the verandah, and an interior recalling a German beer hall of old. The 3 beers brewed are good, solid and low-enough ABV to allow for multiple mugs. Staff, while not hovering, do pay attention to their customers.
Mg 0 — Google review
It used to be a local craft beer brewery and bar - this is no more. What used to have three of their own beers now only serves Cristal like any other place. But you even cannot just order a beer - ordering a pathetic not tasty cheese-olive-sausage with it is obligatory. And the ambience: super loud music from skeaky speakers. The view at the seaside is the only upside. What a disappointment.
Stephan R — Google review
Don't bother. They literally only sell 1 type of bottled beer as their brewery is non functional. Not even any spirits or wine. Also, nothing like the photos. Just an empty warehouse with chairs and tables. Lame.
ChrisNZ — Google review
Not normally a beer drinker (unless in Germany), however, the beer here was very good. I was thoroughly impressed! The black beer was awesome! The light was also very good. The service was great too. All in all very happy with this restaurant/brewery!

Touristy, but great food. They brew their own beer here - pretty tasty! We enjoyed lunch on the water, and a REALLY tall beer.
Azil M — Google review
The place looks really attractive, but the service was dreadful. The waiter refused to show us a menu, just told us about three dishes no prices no nothing and offered us just Heineken beer. For a place that calls itself a brewery this is really unacceptable. Could be nice if you're lucky, location is nice... smelled like scam to us.
Andreea C — Google review
Only had one beer on tap. It was not at all good. Yeasty and sweet, under attenuated. I think someone cracked the whip and forced the brewers to serve a product that was about 2/3 through fermentation. We were not able to see a menu and the waiter tried to charge us 12cuc for 3 glasses of beer and a lemonade. When questioned as to the price he said "OK, .... 9cuc". They do appear to have some decent quality Austrian brewing equipment. The building is stunning and the breezy patio is such a nice place to chill. So much potential - what a shame.

King Bar is a lively and popular LGBT+ friendly nightclub located in Havana's Vedado neighborhood. The bar offers a vibrant atmosphere, great music, and an extensive selection of exciting drinks, including its signature cocktail 'Kingbed beta.' Despite being a busy spot, the staff are known for being friendly and welcoming to both locals and tourists. While some visitors note that the prices can be on the higher side, it's considered a great place for late-night fun with friends.
A great night out in Havana with lively atmosphere that’s welcome to locals and tourists. You pay 1000 pesos to get in but you then use this to buy drinks which are also reasonably priced and strong! Staff were friendly and welcoming even with my limited Spanish. It is a busy place so you may have to queue for drinks but this is to be expected! Would definitely recommend.
Tom Q — Google review
It is quite an expensive bar but it did not seem like it was worth it. They asked us to pay 20000 CP for the table. The food was bad and there seemed to be only one waiter attending all the tables. Naturally, he wasn't able to pay attention to everyone's requests attentively. The bar was empty until 12:30 and that is when people started coming in and it was full by 2ish. The only good thing was the DJ. I would rather recommend going to other bars in old Havana that have the vibe and are cheaper too!

Went with our friends and had a good time. The air conditioner was super cold to the point that security all wore coats. Reageton music mostly. Ordered bottle service and an appetizer plate. Food wasn’t great but we came to drink and party. On the expensive side so be prepared.
KG M — Google review
I would have given them a better star review but they failed on the last minute. My and 3 more friends had been going to this bar for 3 nights straight to the point where one of the security guards that walks around the club was super friendly with us and recognized us every time. First night we payed for bottle service and probably spent more than we should. Long story short, as other posts suggests, one of my friends had to go to our lodging which, was across from the street as he had an emergency (bathroom related if you know what I mean!) When he came back, the guards in the entrance did not let him in back. I went outside to try to talk them out of it without success. We had to leave. They lost 4 customers and probably much more revenue as this was our last night and we were ready to go all out. Not a very smart move.

Worth stopping in if only for a drink. Had croquets...they were ok, not going to judge a place on one appetizer. The mojitos are great and very reasonable at 500 cup. The staff was above average in every regard and you're not going to get a better view anywhere. There's a bar side and restaurant side ... blue menu for the restaurant, black for bar side.

This is recommended by our airbnb host who said that the food is decent, prices are very good and the view is amazing. She was right!! We had croquetas, meatballs and lobster with tomato sauce. We had couple of cocktails, one desert and paid 22 EUR only. It was nothing special but quite decent. The only think i disliked was the desert with apples and almonds. And as the other comments said, the service is not top level but good enough.

Great service. Great drinks. Great food. Looking forward to dinner on my next visit. The views are incredible.

Great place - not only a restaurant but also a bar with starters and drinks, where you enjoy beautiful view over Havana

Fancy entrance, average looking restaurant by the photos in here. Didn’t get to actually spend money here because I was wearing shorts and the doorman blocked my entrance. In many ways Cuba is indeed left behind in time.

It's worth coming here mainly because of the view, food and service are also OK

The food was fantastic, the service as well! The view is worth the visit by itself.

Restaurant
El Guarjirito Restaurante is a lively and entertaining spot that offers more than just a meal. It's described as a touristy but fun experience, with live music shows and dancing on the stage. The restaurant provides an unforgettable show along with a nice dinner, making it worth the price for the overall experience. The festive atmosphere adds to the enjoyment of dining here, where visitors can enjoy delicious food and great service.
I am quite astonished by the performance of the band - listening to those guys & ladies live was amazing. We used to buy their Cd / cassettes once upon a time. Big talents are just requesting a small appreciation. Also thank you youngster talent percussionist Luis. A big clap for the dancers too, cute and fun fellas. Food is delicately cooked, my lobster was quite delicious. Service is fast, there are lovely ladies acting fast to deliver for our big group. Even if your deaf, just watch them bouncing around to serve in their cute outfits. The restaurant offers nice food, concert quality music. I got stuck with music as my lobster was waiting for me. I read some comments not in a consensus with me; I am sorry that those fellas will not enjoy life & music & food & smiles & humanity much. If you are not blind & deaf and taste incompetent, it is certain that you will find something to enjoy here.

The place is nice, and located on a very beautiful street. However the food quality is average. Grilled fish came with rice!?! Pepsi was for $3.50 which I thought was expensive. Overall $34 for grilled fish and two cans of Pepsi. Three stars .. one for hospitable girl waitresses, one for the nice place, and one for atmosphere.

TOURISTS BE AWARE! This is totally a TOURIST TRAP. It was suggested by our VC Tours tour guide, whose name is Mady. I have noticed and felt something abnormal here with tens of well-dressed waitresses and no other customers except us. I was stupid by trying to keep my trust in the tour guide and decided to stay for lunch (and also the kids were too hungry). Everything was overpriced. Moreover, they brought 4 water bottles without asking us and charged $4 each in the bill. When I requested a return of 2 unopened bottles, they refused it. I strongly suggest tourists to check the destinations including restaurants when planning for a trip to Havana.

(SCAMERS) People please be aware of this restaurant in havana. My husband, our children went to Havana to explore the old city but bc it was very hot weather. A guy and his wife approached to us to offer us a tour on his horse for 45 USD to show us the old city. We agreed bc we were with kids. After the guy told us about a "very good restaurant, real Cuban food!" also told us that the price ranges from $20 USD To $22 USD a plate. We trusted them bc we were really hungry and also they seemed honest people because of the situation in cuba. After the very short tour that supposed to show us like 10 places and only we saw 4 places he decided to drop us to that restaurant. After we finished we asked for the bill and lne of the waitres gave us the price of $300 USD but after she charged to my husband almost $600 USD telling him that it came to that price bc of the exchanged rate. My husband and I were so mad bc he just realice that they just scammed us. Guys be safe there, not everyone is good people.

We got steered to this place by a bicycle taxi. Don’t go here. Food is ok, but extremely overpriced. There are so many excellent restaurants in Havana. This is not one of them.

It's a scam. Totally overpriced, food is a joke. The natural juices are sweetend with sugar. After we complained we received a pineapple juice without added sugar, it tasted old and nearly rotten fruit. After we complained about the overpriced bill we received one even higher. The toilet for extra money you have to experience by yourself. It's a shame

I don't understand the bad reviews this place gets! They must be talking about the social club downstairs. The restaurant was nice, the staff were friendly and it's one of the very few places you can pay with your card. My friend and I went and had 4 beers, a starter and main, cocktail and coffee at the end and the bill came to approx 85 EUR. Ok, it's not the cheapest place, but I live in London. So for the things we ordered, it's not so bad in comparison.
