Grandhotel Pupp is a historic resort dating back to the 18th century, located in the heart of Karlovy Vary. It has been frequented by international movie stars and prominent personalities throughout history. The hotel offers a trendy spa, restaurants, and complimentary breakfast for guests. With its impressive architecture and opulent interiors, Grandhotel Pupp provides a truly luxurious experience. Guests can choose between traditional River Side or stylish Park Side accommodations and enjoy spacious rooms and suites.
We love this unique Grandhotel! This iconic hotel is well managed and maintained in very good, clean condition. The spacious rooms are nicely furnished. The rather small bathrooms are usable. It was a shame that the complimentary mineral water and the used cream for coffee or tea in the minibar were not refilled. The breakfast buffet is beautifully presented, leaves nothing to be desired, and tastes delicious. The modern wellness area is simply fantastic. The staff could be a bit more approachable, provide more information, and ask about guests' wishes. We felt very comfortable at the Pupp; many thanks to the entire staff!

The hotel is just as beautiful in person as it is in the movie, Last Holiday. It was my dream to see this place in person. The town itself is just stunning and has many interesting shops as well. I had the Riverside room which mostly faced the parking lot but I was not bothered by it as the town overall is still very pretty. Excellent courteous staff as well. Highly recommend booking directly with the hotel instead of a third party to ensure the room and view that you want.

Incredible and iconic. We stayed at this beautiful hotel. The staff are professional and friendly. Atmosphere is very tranquil with piano music everywhere. We had a suite at Quisisana, it was a stunning room. Breakfast is delightful and their cafe and restaurant are too. Everything seems immaculate. We enjoyed it

I have been to Karlovy Vary several times, and my partner and I always wanted to stay at Hotel Pupp, a beautiful 5-star hotel where most celebrities stay during the film festival. The hotel is rather expensive, but we thought it would be a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, this was far from reality, as it turned out to be one of my worst stays in a 5-star hotel. First of all, the staff. We were not allowed to try any of the hotel’s services. We were informed, rather rudely, that the cocktail bar was fully booked (later we realized it was actually closed, they didn’t even check). We also couldn’t get a table in the Grand Restaurant, despite it being about 80% empty at dinner time, and we were not allowed to sit in the bar area for a light meal. We tried calling room service (as this was our only option for eating), but they never picked up the phone, even after trying multiple times. As for the room, it honestly felt closer to a nice 4-star standard than a 5-star one. The room and bathroom were relatively small, although the décor did look luxurious. Lastly, the wellness area. There are far better options in the city. It consists of an indoor pool (quite cold) with a few hot baths on the side. The place was crowded, and due to the poor acoustics, it was impossible to relax, so we left. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially because of the staff’s performance, which made us feel really unwelcome there.

We loved our stay in this iconic and historic hotel. The room was perfect. Spacious, clean, nice. Bed was very comfortable, the pillows and blankets so soft. Spacious and clean bathroom, fluffy towels and bath robes. Staff professional, nice, kind and helpful. Best breakfast ever and the fancy dinner in the Grandrestaurant Pupp was awesome experience. Please respect the dress code and enjoy.

Lovely and iconic hotel in karlovy vary. Enjoyed my stay here. Stayed in riverside and checked out the pool/spa. Spa was a bit busy (could be bigger for size of hotel) but looked modern. Breakfast was awesome - takes the traditional sumptuous European hotel and elevates to the next level. Overall a pleasant and attentive stay. Would recommend the property to others in the area.
Vincent M — Google review
Staying here till Monday the 15th, we are on the second floor. You can hear everything above you, so our wake up call was someone stomping above us. The room only has AC in one room. So that’s fun. Ordered room service and went down to get desert was treated poorly. Called room service 3 times no answer or call back. The casino lady made fun of our dress attire, then was rude when I handed her my drivers license then told me to get my passport. It’s the tone and how she spoke. The Sauna, pool and other amenities are great. Had a massage and it was fantastic. Went to the becher bar, Mark the bartender was phenomenal. Great banter and overall person to interact with here.
Joshua C — Google review
Hotel is beautiful. We upgraded ourselves to a room at Riverside after we got a chance to check our original booking at Parkside wing that felt quite lackluster in comparison and was further away from a spa. Two different standards. Our new room was great and the view was really nice - got that historical posh essence. Got two Spa treatments. Massage was great and herbal bath before was a nice experience. Employees were nice and attentive. Walking in bathrobe and slippers from room through historical corridors was a cool feeling. Spa area with pool and saunas pleasant. We experienced not very nice dark haired Ukrainian lady who worked there. At first we wanted to check why the whirlpool jets are not on and if there is any button to make it work. We followed with a blond Ukrainian lady - employee. After trying to get her attention we followed her into the staff room. We knocked on the door. She opened and said "automatic" as she seemed not speak any other language. Behind her was her dark haired colleague who jumped out and was making quite angry gestures that felt as to stop bothering her colleague and was repeating "automatic, 10 minutes".The same dark hair lady came to me three minutes before closing time when I was waiting for my partner who could not walk properly to come back from sauna and in somehow condescending tone without smile uttered:" Sorry, closing ". Met her the day after in changing rooms and she even did not say hi or smiled. Did not feel very welcoming :/ Food was tasty. Attending staff mostly friendly and professional. What was a bit dissapointing was that the first evening we came to eat at Grandrestaurant we did not get help for my boyfriend with crutches. We were led to the table but I had to pull the chair for him and help him in the seat with no assistance. Next day for a breakfast the hostess said that we have to wait for table for two people without much effort to find a temporarily seat for my boyfriend who had unfortunate injury the day before and could not walk very well without leaning on his crutches. We sat ourselves at the bar and waited. They escorted us after to the backside tables in the other room without thought of the distance to the buffet and after we protested they sat us back in the front room after cleaning some table. Some of the staff seem not to have such a nice vibe but overall the experience was positive with some genuine wow moments. Would be definitely nice venue for Christmas time.

Hotel Imperial, a castle-like grand property in Karlovy Vary, is renowned for its royal guests and high-profile visitors. The hotel offers top-notch dining, an English-style bar, and a spa with a medical focus on immunity support, detox, and stress relief. It's also famous for its lavish desserts at the patisserie.
A very elegant hotel in lovely surroundings, located in a fantastic place with a stunning view of Karlovi Vary. Very clean, nice size of rooms, helpful staff. They offer various Spa treatments with mineral water. Definitely recommending this hotel and 100% if come back will stay here again!

Nice hotel! Great location. For Eastern Europe, this may be 5 stars, however I would say 4 is more adequate. Buffet is a bit ordinary, wine menu small. View is grand. Cable car ride down to the town is cute.
Henrik J — Google review
Overall, the hotel provides a very good experience and we were satisfied with most aspects of our stay. However, the breakfast was quite disappointing, the options were very limited and lacked variety, which does not match the standard of a hotel at this level. Several members of our group chose not to return to breakfast after the first day. I have also noticed that many other guests have raised the same concern. I truly hope the management will take this feedback into consideration and work on improving the breakfast selection, as it would make the overall stay much more enjoyable.
Aseel — Google review
It's absolutely incredible. The moment you enter you feel like in a 5 star hotel (as you are in a 5 star hotel). The rooms are very big like maybe even a bit too big haha and the only complaint I'd have is that there's no AC but it's an historical building so I guess that's why. You can open every window so it's okay. View was amazing, breakfast was incredible, they have a cable cart to get to the city that goes more or less about every 20 minutes so you're in the city really quickly and it's free for you to use. There's one thing that's a bit crazy and that is that you have to pay 30€ PER NIGHT for your pet. That's just beyond good and evil in my opinion and should be stated before you book imo. The garden is somewhat big but there are no big parks or chill walkable areas in the immediate surroundings so keep that in mind in case you have a dog that needs a lot of entertainment/walks. Swimming pool and sauna were great too and are also free to use. They also had two jacuzzi but I didn't use them but looked good. Everything was very clean and every staff I talked to was very friendly and forthcoming. Would definitely stay again there but probably without my dog ^^
E L — Google review
A single room is just that with a twin bed, something that was not really clear when I booked it. With that in mind the room was great, with a good bath. The location is perfect. The hotel is located on a hill above the city which makes it quite and a perfect place for rest. There's a garden around the hotel, with a lot of trees and even a rose garden. If you don't want to use taxis the hotel offers a service of free busses going to the center of the city.

Beautiful hotel. The beds are comfy and the amenities on site are great….except the pool. It’s a shallow small pool and the two small hot tubs were just kind of warm. The hallways could also use a little work, as it reminded me of the Shining. All in all my wife and I enjoyed it, but it could also use some work.

Disappointing Service at Reception – A 5-Star Hotel with 0-Star Attitude We arrived (October 14, 2025 afternoon) at the hotel slightly later than expected due to our tour schedule. Our guide suggested we head to the downtown area first to catch the sunset and planned for us to complete the hotel registration after we returned. However, instead of politely explaining that the registration needed to be completed before we could receive our room keys, the young gentleman at the front desk rudely told us, “If you don’t fill the form, I’ll call the police.” This was completely unnecessary and extremely unprofessional. Later, when another member of our group asked him a question, his response was impatient and disrespectful. His behavior not only ruined my first impression of the hotel but also affected the overall mood of our group. It’s unfortunate that such poor service overshadowed what should have been a pleasant experience at a 5-star hotel. The hotel itself may deserve five stars, but the reception staff certainly did not reflect that standard.

Beautiful grounds but a dated building and swimming area. Very friendly staff, they were patient with us as we only spoke english. The location is perfect, we walked into town which was easy but a steep walk.

It offers spacious and stylish accommodations with city views, close to attractions like the Hot Geyser Spring and Market Colonnade. The on-site Restaurant Romance serves Czech and international cuisine along with aromatic coffee on its seasonal terrace. Guests can enjoy a rich breakfast and access to amenities such as Wi-Fi.
Excellent staff and service, including the driver who took us to the parking lot. The hotel is in an excellent and central location. Comfortable and cozy rooms, delicious and varied breakfast. We will definitely return on our next visit to Karlovy Vary.

I had a pleasant stay at this accommodation. The reception desk was proactive and helpful, answering all my questions over the phone before my arrival. The restaurant served good food, and the breakfast buffet was satisfying with a decent variety. The rooms and common areas were clean and tidy, which added to the overall comfort. I also appreciated the option for a late check-out, available for an additional fee. Overall, a smooth and comfortable experience.

Stayed 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent staff throughout our stay. Plenty of choice for breakfast. We also had a dinner there one night and a lunch, both of which were great. The hotel decor seems dated at first glance but, in hindsight, that is probably the intended vibe...old world elegance! Our accommodation was really quite spacious, very clean and with everything in excellent order. Two well functioning lifts. The perfect location to enjoy the sights of Karlovy Vary.
Sue S — Google review
A very good service and very friendly - and this is the most important. Sweet and salty breakfasts, nothing special but something for everyone but....nothing special....I give minus one star. The hotel is very quiet, the rooms have everything you will need. Unfortunately, the magnificent terrace belongs to cigarette smokers, which is unacceptable. Why is this so?
Przemyslaw P — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A true gem – exceptional service and quality! This is a truly outstanding and warmly managed hotel. I’ve only experienced this level of quality once before – and that was a hidden gem in Dresden. This place definitely belongs in the same league! From check-in to check-out, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine friendliness. The entire team is extremely attentive, helpful, and respectful – you really feel welcomed and appreciated as a guest. The rooms are spotless, the service is excellent, and the food is absolutely delicious – from breakfast to room service, everything was on point. Highly recommended – whether you’re here on a business trip, as a couple, or with family. I would gladly return anytime! The location of the hotel is a 12 out of 10!! Absolutely amazing – just wow!

We booked the standard room first. After seeing the room we took another room, because it looked really old and outdated. So please book a room in the 4th or 5th floor to be sure to get a nice room. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Coffee is not worth to mention.

Nestled in the heart of Karlovy Vary, the Dvorak Spa & Wellness hotel is a stunning blend of elegance and comfort, housed within six beautifully restored Art Nouveau buildings. This luxurious retreat features an upscale restaurant that serves exquisite à la carte dishes and a charming Viennese café/bar where you can enjoy everything from rich hot chocolate to refreshing cocktails.
Location and view from balcony rooms towards river was excellent. Service was inconsistent and rooms are due for a refresh. Breakfast was quite good and added lots of value. For the money it has good value considering everything. Would be nice if they had conditioner, bar soap and bottle opener. Peter Halla at reception provided excellent service and spoke perfect English as well which made the experience a 5 star versus 4.

My experience at the Hotel Dvořák restaurant in Karlovy Vary was truly exceptional. The staff are very caring, kind, attentive, and friendly. The kitchen is fantastic – high-quality dishes and everything in abundance. What touched me most was how, despite the behaviour of some aggressive and unfriendly guests I witnessed, the staff remained calm, kind, and caring at all times. I take my hat off to their perseverance, love, and dedication. This restaurant is a shining example of what true hospitality should be. One thing I did notice and found less pleasant is that some guests pay only for breakfast but take large amounts of food with them for the whole day. This sometimes means that later breakfast guests have fewer options. Perhaps the hotel could keep a closer eye on this in the future so that everyone can enjoy the full breakfast offering.
Hanna E — Google review
We booked the wellness package including use of the pool and spa, plus breakfast and dinner. The pool was lovely. Unfortunately we did not get to use the spa as this was undergoing maintenance. As was 1 of the 2 elevators going up to the rooms. The breakfast was fine. The waiting staff is friendly, but when I made the staff aware of the long gray hair in my scrambled eggs, there was no response. We had dinner 1 evening. This was not our type of dinner. The other evenings we walked to a few nice restaurants close by the hotel. The Thais massage was wonderful, definitely recommend this. Unfortunately I did not get to try the beauty treatments. When I went to the reception at the treatment rooms, I was requested to come back another day to book an appointment.

I recently stayed at the Dvořák Spa & Wellness Hotel in Karlovy Vary, and it was a fantastic experience! Perfectly located just 250 meters from the "Hot" thermal spring and close to Stará Louka (80 meters) and Market Colonnade (320 meters), it’s ideal for exploring the town’s UNESCO sites. My room was modern, cozy, and clean, with comfy bathrobes and great Wi-Fi. The spa was a highlight—professional treatments, a relaxing indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath, though the pool felt a bit small. The staff were super friendly and helpful and assisted with everything I needed. The food at the Dvorak Restaurant was tasty, with a good variety. Overall, a wonderful stay for relaxation and sightseeing!
Alejandro G — Google review
Formal Complaint: I stayed at this hotel three days ago, and I was extremely disappointed with the conduct of the reception staff. During my stay, I was physically assaulted by another guest inside the elevator. Shockingly, the reception staff did not take the matter seriously or provide me with any support. Instead, they brought the guest who attacked me and openly suggested to him that he could simply deny the incident, since there is no surveillance camera inside the elevator. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious lack of professionalism, safety measures, and responsibility on the part of the hotel. This experience was distressing, and I will never consider staying at this property again.
Najat H — Google review
Total scam, the website said there was a private parking for 25e per night with no reservation needed just to arrive and find out the parking is full. The staff couldn't care less and they asked me to go and park in a private parking that is 30-minute walk from the hotel in wind and rain with heavy suitcases. Furthermore, the room seemed like it escaped from WWII, old and dusty, while water from the bathtub leaked everywhere, shampoo bottle was empty, and beds were not comfy. Next, the pool was smaller than what you'd expect for a hotel of this size, there were only two saunas and just as the rooms the spa area looked outdated. We were very underwhelmed and disappointed. While checking out we asked to store the luggage while we are out, we were instructed to put the luggage in a room at the lobby that had no lock, no guard, no way of keeping track of suitcases. Similarly, when we went to pick up the luggage we just entered without anyone talking to us and took our luggage, which we found strange as it seemed like the hotel didn't care much about safety. During the checkout there was no friendly interaction from the staff, overall it seemed like there was little care or desire to provide a good experience. My sincere advice is to never fall for the trap that is this hotel, it's better to pay a bit extra and stay somewhere where your vacation won't be ruined by hotel management's incompetence and indifference.
Nidal N — Google review
A good hotel nicely situated in Karlsbad near all popular attractions. I really enjoyed the live performances of local piano players in the hotel lobby downstairs in the evenings!! Kind suggestion is to try to reduce the amount of noise during the performance. For example, smashing of ice for drinks is really disturbing during the piano concert, try to do it up front.

Nestled in the charming spa town of Karlovy Vary, the Savoy Westend Hotel is a luxurious retreat that seamlessly blends history with modern elegance. This exquisite hotel comprises five beautifully restored villas dating back to 1897, connected by underground corridors for a unique experience. Guests can indulge in upscale dining options and unwind at the impressive spa, which boasts over 3,000 square meters dedicated to wellness treatments.
Savoy is a fantastic resort. The staff is incredibly friendly, the spa is amazing (I recommend getting a massage), and the food/bar is astounding. The location of the resort is nice because it’s a short walk to the town center. Karlovy Vary is a beautiful small town, but you’d never even need to leave the resort. It’s wonderful!

Terrible Experience - Rude Staff, Poor Service, and Unprofessional Management My stay at the Hotel Savoy Westend in Karlovy Vary was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I was humiliated and insulted during my stay, particularly in the restaurant, where the service was nothing short of disgraceful. The way the staff treated me made me feel as though I was being served out of their own unwillingness, with undertones of racism in their behavior. The tipping point came when they failed to even provide me with basic silverware during one of my meals. This level of negligence forced me to leave the dining hall entirely and report the incident to the management. Shockingly, no action was taken. Not a single apology was offered. This lack of accountability and disregard for guest concerns is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that presents itself as a luxury hotel. I decided to leave the hotel a day early because of the unbearable treatment. However, when I requested reimbursement for the unused night as a gesture of goodwill given my negative experience, the management outright refused. Instead of addressing my concerns or attempting to fix my experience, they coldly stated they could not refund me. This lack of empathy and effort to resolve the situation left me deeply dissatisfied and even more upset. Beyond the disgraceful customer service, the housekeeping was equally appalling. My room was not vacuumed for the majority of my 10-day stay, and it may have been cleaned only once. The minibar was not replenished, further reflecting the hotel’s disinterest in providing basic services to its guests. In summary, this hotel fails on every level: subpar customer service, unprofessional management, careless housekeeping, and an overall dismissive attitude toward guest concerns. I would highly recommend avoiding the Hotel Savoy Westend in Karlovy Vary. Do yourself a favor and choose a hotel that values its guests and provides the respect and care they deserve.
Su A — Google review
The stay was overall good but there are a few niggles that I have considering this is a 5star hotel. Firstly the room we initially had was very cosy but it was noisy, had a non functioning AC which meant that it got very warm (25 degrees compared to the outside of 18) and the blinds were so bad that my girlfriend and I were awake from 6-7 am. The staff were very accommodating and got us a new room however. The breakfast is fine but nothing special so a bit expensive for €25 a day. What is a bit weird is that after checkout, we were not allowed to continue using the spa facilities or anything, they essentially told us to find something else to do, which I find very odd for a 5 star hotel where you cannot select your checkout time. I have never had this anywhere, even after checkout I have always been allowed to remain at the swimming pool or other. So overall the experience was ok but could be better.
Julien R — Google review
Excellent hotel for a very good price! The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. We had a deluxe room with a balcony. The only issue was the A/C did not work well but it was a beautiful night so we slept with the windows open.
Amer E — Google review
We are currently staying in this hotel. What a mistake! Certainly not a 5 star hotel. The rooms, the carpets stink, really badly. Inside of hotel needs serious renovation. The staff hardly speaks any english. The place looks really run down. Worst is they advertise that thermal water is available, but you have to buy procedures to be able to bath in thermal water but actually they mix the water with tap water, to cool it down. The food is really below average. So pls save yourself and choose another hotel in the area.
Berfu B — Google review
My overall impression doesn’t allow me to leave a better review than three stars. The hotel is located in a quiet street, not far from the city center. Due to the limited spa facilities and the rather old fashioned hotel (and no longer fresh) interior, we didn’t feel like staying inside the hotel and were more tempted by the hikes and walks nearby. Our room wasn’t worth what we spent for the stay. The breakfast buffet was only “ok”, was very basic and didn’t have that little extra you would expect from a luxury hotel. I had higher expectations towards a five stars hotel but the staff was very accommodating whenever we asked for a service. All in all, a good choice for a spa weekend, but I’m not convinced to the point I would want to go back.

Please be aware that the Savoy Westend Hotel in Karlovy Vary is owned by a company linked to Russian owners currently under international sanctions. Travelers should consider this before booking, as the hotel’s ownership situation is controversial and subject to government restrictions.

The Savoy Westend Hotel is an 'OK' destination to stay, however, don't expect good service or a luxury hotel experience. The resort claims to be 5 stars, however, burned out lightbulbs, non-functional AC, poor bathroom maintenance, and being locked out in the middle of the night are all things I've not seen at a single other 5 star hotel. The check-in experience was also extremely slow, taking about 45 minutes, and we didn't even receive help getting our bags to our rooms. For the quite high price too, don't expect anything like breakfast or spa experiences to be included: those all cost extra. Our biggest gripe, by far, however, was the service on our stay. It was generally not good. Up front too, I'd like to point out that we had a few native Czechs in our group, so expect this level of service whether you speak Czech or not. When we originally called, we asked about what options we'd have for 6 adults (3 couples) coming to stay. We specifically mentioned that we didn't mind sharing rooms. The woman on the phone was very dismissive, but eventually told us that they had 3 rooms that would total to about 16,000 CZK ($720). We asked if there was any way to fit more than one couple in a room, and were told no. We said that would be fine then, and proceeded to reserve the rooms. Upon arrival, we found out that one of the rooms was an apartment. I asked the woman at the front desk (different than the one on the phone), if we could fit more than one couple in that apartment. She said no. Fine. Upon receiving the bills a few moments later, we realized that total bill was about 17,500 CZK, (1,500 higher than quoted) and that about 11,000CZK of that was the apartment room alone. Speaking with the ladies at the desk in both English and Czech, we then asked again to confirm there was no way to fit multiple couples in the apartment, such as a pull-out couch. They repeatedly insisted no, and that there was no available rooms other than the 3 we had booked. With no other options, we agreed. The reality was, that the apartment room could easily have fit two couples. It had a full bedroom, plus a pull-out couch, two bathrooms, a kitchen, etc. When we asked to have a refund for the third room (which we wouldn't have needed if the staff had been honest up front!) the desk staff was insistent that had we put two extra people in the apartment and cancelled the third room, the difference in price would have somehow only equated to 400CZK, even though the third room was 3,500. Thus, they only would refund us 400 CZK. There were also points during these conversations where our native Czech speakers noted that the staff would talk to each other in Czech to avoid the members of our group who didn't speak Czech from understanding what they were saying. I firmly believe that we would've had an even worse customer service experience had we not had native Czech speakers in our group. Based on our experience, I can't recommend this hotel. Being one of the more expensive options nearby, you'll get much better value somewhere cheaper. Karlovy Vary has many many more hotel options, and one with a more friendlier staff is definitely a better idea.

The Hotel Ontario is a 150-year old hotel situated on the banks of the Tepla River, just minutes from Karlovy Vary's historic center. The hotel offers excellent views of the town and river, as well as plenty of space in its rooms. It also has its own secure parking lot.
Great hotel with spacious and high ceiling rooms. The view was amazing. We had everything we needed from parking spot to a tasteful breakfast. The personnel was very kind and helpful.

The hotel is an historical building, recently redecorated, with an amazing view on the city centre. The rooms are very large and even have a small living room with a sofa, armchairs and coffee table: the furniture is a bit too elaborate for my liking, but it's to be expected in an historical location. There's an electric kettle and cups if the hosts want to have some tea in the comfort of their room. Much appreciated was the amount of bath linens, including bathrobes. The personnel is very helpful and friendly and there's a reserved parking spot. Overall a very nice experience!

This is a very special boutique hotel right in the heart of beautiful Karlovy Vary. It is just 100m or so from the center of the city and the spa area, but just far enough to ensure quiet and privacy. The hotel has beautiful views of the city and mountains, very comfortable, spacious rooms, and a superb and most welcoming staff that is extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. As a diplomat who has lived and travelled all over the world, I unreservedly recommend Hotel Ontario. — Dr. James L. Huskey

Beautiful, stylish, elegant, comfortable....Not enough words to describe the hotel itself as well as the level of service!! Spacious, stylish and clean room, delicious breakfast, perfect location to roam around Karlovy Vary. But the most important is friendly and very helpful staff!! Thank you for this wonderful experience at Ontario, we hope to visit Karlovy Vary again soon- as we love to travel in our lovely neighbours' country!!

When we made the reservation we were told it included parking space and when we checked in we were informed that it was only 1.80 high. That means buying a parking ticket every 3 hours. The linen had holes in it and the table was completely dirty. According to the hotel, breakfast starts at 8, but at 10 after still no rolls. Toast bread that was in the toaster had mold forming and sausage and cheese were already forming. So not recommended. (Original) Das schlechteste Hotel in den ich je eine Nacht verbracht habe . (Translated by Google) Confused receptionist who pretends to be the owner of the entire hotel. Our room definitely got water and it hasn't even been painted since then, in general a lot of broken things in the furniture. It was quite cold in the bathroom and in the room, take a sweater. The biggest pearls are the breakfasts, which are made in the style of saving every penny and going over corpses, examples are that five minutes after the start of breakfast the scrambled eggs are completely ice cold (probably from the previous day), something like meatloaf must have been stuck there for many days, the cheapest gothaj type salami, the cheese is replenished after about 8 slices on a large tray, so that someone does not accidentally take more, it is not embarrassing for them to take out jam jars every morning, which are completely empty, just jammed from last time. The lemon and mint water was full of flies and smelled very unappealing, some suspicious pink juice that had been standing there nonstop in the mug, I'm guessing it had been living there for several months. Best for breakfast is tea and butter. We had pizza and two beers in the voucher. The pizza is far below average, but it is still not ashamed to call it real Italian, the beer was drinkable. As a plus, I would say that the hotel was quiet. Although it is cheap accommodation, I definitely recommend paying extra for something else.

Nestled in the heart of Karlovy Vary, Spa Hotel Thermal stands out as a modern gem amidst the town's historic architecture. This informal spa hotel boasts comfortable accommodations ranging from single and double rooms to spacious suites, many with stunning views of the city or its unique thermal swimming pool. Guests can indulge in a delightful breakfast and enjoy buffet-style dining options throughout their stay. The hotel's impressive facilities include an inviting indoor pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
e had a wonderful stay at the Thermal Hotel in Karlovy Vary. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to the river, shops, and spa attractions. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-designed, with beautiful views of the surroundings. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, and the wellness facilities were a highlight—especially the pool and spa area, which provided a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Overall, it was an excellent stay. We felt comfortable, well taken care of, and truly enjoyed our time. We would definitely recommend the Thermal Hotel to anyone visiting Karlovy Vary and look forward to returning on our next trip.

I am furious with the way we were treated at this hotel. We have been loyal customers for 4 years, and never once have we experienced such disrespect until now. The hotel feels unfinished and unprepared, you have to take care of everything yourself. Housekeeping ignores requests, our shampoo and soap were never refilled for over a week, and we had to buy our own. The air conditioning is unbearably hot, and when guests complain, the staff become defensive and rude instead of helping. The worst part was the restaurant. Our meals were prepaid, yet the waitress Andrea followed us to the table, demanded we pay again immediately or leave, and then had the audacity to call my mother a liar and rude when we explained we had already paid. Andrea is extremely unprofessional, rude, and clearly does not know how to treat customers. No one in all our years of coming here has ever spoken to us the way she did. This was shocking, insulting, and completely unacceptable.

We enjoyed the facilities, but there was active construction on our floor, which we were not warned about, given alternative options for, or compensated for. It was frequently difficult to contact reception, and multiple requests had to be made before receiving basic amenities such as towels, an extra blanket, and restoring the electricity to the room when it went out. Additionally, when we extended our stay by a day our cards and bracelets were not updated, which caused multiple inconveniences. That said, the pool was nice.

Minor quirks with elevators and room details, but a solid choice for a relaxing Karlovy Vary stay.

I don’t know where to begin. So the Location is good, the Hotel is big, but that’s all the good Things I can say. The staff can’t Even speak english wich is really weird. The breakfast taste like from three days ago and when we arrived there was no place left to seat the staff just keep sending us away, then give us a place? What did I pay for? The bed is really hard, the pool area is okay, many people and not really enjoyable. For me this trip was more stressful than relaxing

Overall, I rate the hotel very positively – it has a unique atmosphere, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and a convenient noon check-out. The only things I would consider improving are the rooms, which feel a bit outdated for a 4 star hotel, and the spa, which can’t be used on the departure day as it only opens at 1 pm. A few weeks ago, we stayed at the Falkensteiner in Mariánské Lázně, where the spa was available until check-out. Other than that, everything was great – I can warmly recommend a stay here and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed Karlovy Vary, but had several frustrating issues at the hotel that felt like tourist-targeted misinformation. First: the information form is misleading — read it very carefully and ask staff to clarify. On our checkout day, the hotel’s wellness only opened at 13:00, so we could not use it after checkout. The form also states that you can purchase all-day access to the outdoor pool for 200 CZK, but reception refused and claimed it only “extends” the 2-hour complimentary slot. This was inconsistent and misleading. On top of that, the staff were generally unfriendly and showed little willingness to help.

Unsatisfactory Experience at Thermal Hotel and Clinic I stayed at Thermal Hotel and used its clinic services, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations: • Doctor: The interaction was unprofessional, and I did not feel enough attention was given to my case. • Nursing staff: Unfriendly attitude with slow response to requests. • Reception: Unhelpful service, lacking warmth and efficiency in problem-solving. • Restaurant: Food quality was below average, with poor cooking standards and limited variety. Overall, the service level does not match the hotel’s advertised image, and I would not consider repeating the experience.

Wellness hotel
Nestled on the outskirts of Karlovy Vary, Spa Resort Sanssouci is a delightful haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. This modern spa complex, which emerged from the fusion of three established hotels, boasts an impressive array of amenities connected by underground corridors. Guests can indulge in a large indoor pool, unwind in saunas and steam baths, or savor delicious meals at one of the three restaurants or café with a charming summer terrace.
Super simple. Definitely get the rooms with a view. Very quiet part of KV and it takes a while (walkable) to get into the town centre by foot or bus. I like the simplicity (price!!) and quiet. FYI: ample car parking.

Somewhere between two and three stars. The wellness part (especially the procedures, but also the whirlpool etc) of the hotel, as well as the staff, were great. But other than that, it's definitely not a four star hotel. The rooms are old and weirdly smelling, the TV there isn't smart. The worst part of it was definitely the food though. Both breakfast and dinner were super underwhelming, with selection like from the 80s. If you want at least partly modern, fresh or good food, you won't be able to choose here. Unfortunately they also let children run all around the place or take over the whole pool, so sometimes it's not really all that relaxing.

This year it's not that great. We should be placed on blue house but at the arrival was informed that are on the green house. Not a big deal just could be informed before. The biggest issue is the food and service. Quality with the comparison of other years is not great. We purchase an bottle of wine at the restaurant with the idea to finished outside at clean air. A really annoying lady at the blue house come and literally through out us! Claiming that this is her area? We did not bring the wine outside it was purchase at the restaurant! Very few speek English anymore at the hotel makes the conversation really difficult.

The rooms are simple and basic, with no extra amenities, but they are comfortable enough for a pleasant stay. Compared to other hotels in the area, the overall value is reasonable. The swimming pool is large and well maintained, although it was quite crowded during my stay. The staff is friendly and speaks several languages, which makes communication easy for international guests. The hotel offers good parking facilities and is located in a beautiful natural setting, ideal for those seeking a peaceful environment. It also features its own golf course. Several saunas are available, and access to them is included in the room rate, which is a nice extra touch. Overall, it’s worth the price. However, I would also consider trying other hotels in the area, perhaps closer to the city center.

Overall, good hotel, a but 3 bus stops from centre, hotel gives free buss ticket for the whole stay. Hotel located in a quiet place near forest, bus stop by the hotel. There is a big park near by, as well. Hotel is clean, rooms are nice, we had suit, bed changed once in a week. Other cleaning is everyday, coffee, tea in a room, good breakfast and dinner, tasty. Spa is good, pool and other amenities. People in hotel were great, helpful. 1b water in the hotel. Medical package was generally good, massage was too weak, classic partial massage. Nothing significant. Bath with herbs and etc. was ok, gas injection may be work, let’s see. You need to choose and read in advance to know what do you want for procedures I think, so it wont be random. I enjoyed sauna, it’s free for everyone in hotel, as well as pool and jacuzzi. Price is good for package compare to other hotels. Was possible to book last minute. Minus. Three blocks, long walks between buildings, first days very confusing. If you old and have problems with walking, can be challenging or ask to make all treatment in one building or two, blue and mercedes. You walk underground with elevators but it was a but too much for my grandma.

It is a fabulous place and the location is quite close to the city center. There is bus access to the city and it’s also walkable in case you like to and there’s an amazing view to the forest.

Couldn't get past the receptionist. They were extremely uninterested in me as a client and answered none of my questions. I tried to call to find out what the most suitable recovery program for me would be. The receptionist asked me to write an email. I wrote an email, and they just told me to read the website. Worst customer service and least customer oriented place I've ever seen.

Location: This place is a bit aside of the city. But it's not bad, especially if you like to walk and have some activities. There are multiple routes to the place and all are beautiful: old city, parks and etc. Food: There are lot of options (more than in regular hotels) but of course this is not a restaurant. Services: Service is like from the communist era. But a lot of visitors are getting nostalgia from that. In general the strategy of the hotel is correct: personnel is avoiding interactions with clients and maybe this is not so bad after all. You can also get a lot of paid body care services here: massage, electric stimulation of joins, warm wraps with paraffin, etc. Parking: Covered and public. Has to be paid. It never was a problem to find a place. Pool: Big pool and hot sauna. It's a good place, they have their clients that I hope will be only improving with time. At first i was about to score 4 but it's 5 because the price is still good.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and were very pleased with our experience. We were pleasantly surprised and happy with their pet-friendly policy — there was a special area for dogs, bins with bags, and the staff always asked if our dog needed some water. The rooms were nice and clean, and the spa area was also delightful. The view from our room overlooking the forest was simply stunning, and the hotel’s location surrounded by such natural beauty made our stay even more enjoyable. We were very satisfied with our stay and can definitely recommend this hotel — it is well worth the money.

Last night we decided to come back again. It’s was a good choice. Even though it“s more for a couple hotel, the stuff is very nice and friendly with us as couple with children 🤣 Breakfast is very good, no complaints. Pool and Sauna also on Top. The hotel had a very good standard on everything, but the food need improvement. Its is good but not delicious.

Just played this course design is really nice but the course is in terrible condition!! We were informed at the check in that there is no water. Booked 4 weeks ago and they could have informed use earlier. The bunkers also were in bad condition with weeds and not looked after, rock hard sand.

A very cozy and secluded place — perfect for disconnecting from the outside world and enjoying nature. The atmosphere is truly calming, and it’s a great escape if you’re looking for peace and quiet. One thing I really appreciate is that the hotel is pet-friendly — it’s wonderful to be able to travel with your furry friend. That said, it would be even better if there was a designated, fenced-off area for dogs to walk and play. While many guests love animals, there are others who may feel uncomfortable or afraid, regardless of how friendly the dogs are. A small barrier would make it more comfortable for everyone. Overall, a lovely stay and would definitely return!

The hotel was super nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. The room and the spa areas were all very clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and the open buffet offers a variety of dishes. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Special thanks to Daniel for welcoming us at the reception when we arrived and during our stay!

We had been here with friends for a Golf longer Weekend. We used the room with two guys....Of course you need a car to get to the city, so there is nothing walkable next to the Hotel Good things: - Obvious, the best thing was, that the Hotel is located directly at the Golf course, outside there is the Tee 1 of the Golf course - The design of the Hotel ist quite cool and relatively modern - The hotel room had all what you need - Spa area is also quite nice - Bar, breakfast and the meal was better than average Things to improve: - Hotel do not ask whether you want two single bed or one big size bed - at the counter, the staff speaks German and English, but both employees were very new and had not t much information in case of questions - no sure, why they claimed a fee for the parking place, because it was not a secured area - breakfast started at 7.30, which is in general a good time, but there might be golf guests with early tee time, and breakfast was not fully prepared at 7.30 in the morning - there are only two level, but there is no elevator (not negative, but guest should know) In total, it might be acceptable, if you want to play golf at that course.

Great experience at this hotel. Wellness in a high quality (swimming pool, relax zone, gym, several types of saunas) as well as restaurant with friendly and kind staff. Really tasty food and awesome choice of czech wine. 100% recommended.

The Cihelny Golf & Wellness Resort in Karlovy Vary, operated by Axxos Hotels, is set in a stunning natural location in the Slavkovský Forest, just 7 km from Karlovy Vary. The resort’s 18-hole golf course, designed by golf legend Gary Player, is a standout feature. Opened in 2002, this Scottish-style course with a par of 70 offers a challenging yet accessible layout for players of all levels, with distances ranging from 4,665 m (red tees) to 5,782 m (white tees). The course is well-maintained, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and includes a driving range with both outdoor and covered teeing bays. The resort’s restaurant serves high-quality dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, with a modern take on Czech cuisine, and features a sunny summer terrace with a bar and views of the surrounding greenery. Reviewers praise the friendly and attentive staff, particularly in the restaurant, and the serene atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. Guests can explore over 130km of marked trails in the surrounding forests.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location is excellent, and we had booked a room with a view - it was absolutely stunning. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the hotel itself has a charming vintage aesthetic. Everything was very clean and welcoming - truly a beautiful place. Both room and bathroom were spotless and well-maintained. We also booked access to the spa area, which was a real highlight. During our stay, the spa was never crowded (we went after dinner time and in the morning) so we often had it mostly to ourselves, which was great. We enjoyed three different types of saunas, as well as the swimming pool. There was even a relaxing area with water and tea available. The breakfast area was lovely, with a cozy atmosphere and a wide variety of options. I really enjoyed it. (It was included in the price - everything was fresh and delicious). Parking can be a bit tricky. The nearest free parking is quite far, one you pay for was also far. We were lucky to find a free spot slightly uphill from the hotel - it took us less than 10 minutes to walk down from there. Overall, I absolutely recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful experience and have no complaints at all.

Great hotel, perfect location, beautiful rooms and good breakfast! Only thing not worth spending money in was the spa. Super crowded, kids screaming and running around, wasn’t the relaxing part we were expecting.

We had such a wonderful week in Astoria! I was with my 12 & 15 year old children and we loved it here. The room was large with comfortable beds, the pool and saunas were amazing (the water was warm), the medical procedures were always on time, even the kids liked them and were happy to participate. The overall service and attention to detail was at the highest level. I was treated like a VIP from the time of booking to the end of our stay. Oh, and the food was great, super variety of meat and fish and sweets - I've never seen such variety for this price level. Thank you, Astoria! Now my mother will enjoy her stay in November. I will recommend this hotel to everyone!

If I could give this "spa hotel" minus stars I totally would, never before have I wanted to leave a hotel mid stay this bad. Parking: Bad, just as expected. We were sent to a parking lot at Hotel Windsor (another hotel). After we payed for the spot and drove there we realized our parking lot wasn't even open as another car was parked there. Reception staff: This one was so bad it might as well be a joke. For someone who has never been in a "wellness hotel" before you are totally left on your own here. No one explains ANYTHING to you. NOTHING. Not even where the pool is (and no, "it's on the 1st floor" is not enough as there are over 20 rooms on the 1st floor and the pool room is hidden). We had to go to the reception at least 5 times a day to get some sort of answer for basically the most random small things that could've been easily explained if the staff actually gave a crap. Where do you find these workers?? Wellness: The biggest joke there is. They won't tell you this at the reception so here are some informations: - the "pool" is a bigger hot tub and fits a handfull of people. It's always full as it's too small. They tell you at the reception to just go there with your room card and pay at check out but of course that's not how it actually works. If you do that they'll send you back to the reception to get a "wellness stamp" on the card while you're wearing only your bath slippers and bathrobe (we asked at least 3 times at the reception if they're sure that we don't need to do anything else before going to the pool) - again the "pool" is very hidden and has opening hours, you can't just go for a swim as you please. From morning until lunch it costs 200 czk and in the afternoon it's 300 czk (about €20,- a day) which is crazy as we booked our room in this hotel for the "wellness experience" and all that was was a small warmish tub that's full of elderly people. For this price I'd rather go to a luxury thermal bath house in Austria where there's plenty of hot springs, pools, jacuzzis, saunas and places to relax/ lay down undisturbed for the same amount of money. - THE WORST ONE SO FAR: Never did we expect that one has to book WEEKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY SORT OF WELLNESS TREATMENT upon arrival. We checked in on Friday and couldn't book/ use ONE SINGLE TREATMENT WHATSOEVER (spring treatment/ baths/massage options etc.). That doctors/ nurses and masseurs need to be booked in advance is kind of logical but we didn't want that anyway. We expected a free (or atleast big enough) pool or a sauna possibility that's also at least big enough for more people OR CHAIRS TO LAY AROUND AT THE POOL as it's common sense to have that in a SPA HOTEL. OR NOT TO PAY/RESERVE FOR EVERY SINGLE SMALL THING THEY "OFFER". THE MOST BIZZARE "WELLNESS" EXPERIENCE. WE WERE THERE THE WHOLE WEEKEND AND DIDN'T GET TO USE ANY WELLNESS TREATMENT WHATSOEVER. NOT EVEN THE POOL BECAUSE IT WAS TOO FULL. We basically booked a wellness hotel just for the room. Period. ALSO: We had a €80,- coupon as a gift from our in laws. The hotel staff said we have to use the half for wellness (which was impossible as described above) and the other half for foods and drinks. So we had lunch there, it was a buffet so it wasn't good. We asked if we could use the other half (which was actually for wellness) on anything else (because WELLNESS WASN'T AVAILABLE) and they said no. So we lost €40,- to the hotel as we couldn't get drinks/ food instead. Basically they make you use it for something that's not available and at the end they tell you "we're sorry but that's policy so you're going to lose those €40,-" -Breakfast was also a joke as there is not enough room for all hotel guests to sit down. All in all bad experience. What a joke this place is. CHANGE YOUR POLICY AND YOUR UNFRIENDLY STAFF. P. S. : We visited this hotel over 2 years ago and I wrote this as soon as we left. This review got flagged (?) and I just now noticed, that's why it got posted now instead of then (for the hotel response, which makes no sense by the way. Read my review again)

The hotel is an absolute paradise! Our superior double room had an astonishing balcony with view at the “Kolonáda”. The room was clean and modern. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious with many food options. There is even a tea and cookie bar that is always available for the guests free of charge if you want to drink some coffee/tea and have a little cookie snack. The pool is small but does the job and the three different saunas are very pretty. The modern relaxation room next to sauna with free water and tea was a nice surprise. The staff was also very kind to us. My boyfriend had a massage and was very satisfied with that too. So if you are looking for a place to spend your time in Karlovy Vary, Astoria is a great option for sure.
Šárka R — Google review
The service at the hotel restaurant is totally unacceptable. Guests are literary not allowed to sit and have their meals which they paid for, because of the smaller space there. Lady who is managing restaurant and sitting there is super rude, dividing guests by nationalities, apparently only treating well the guests who came from Germany and local ones, giving them the priority to sit, but for those who came from far abroad, especially from third countries she states that the "tables are reserved for other guests". Aren't they also guests who paid for the meals? Imagine - for those old people, who came to this hotel to get a water related treatment, the breakfast and other meals at this restaurant is almost impossible with such kind of "privileged reservation" . They have to either wait standing or struggle to get the free table, which is almost impossible due to the peal season. Dear hotel team, please, be so kind to explain - is it a sole decision of your management to treat guests from other countries in this way? Do you think older people deserve such attitude?

I visited Astoria Hotel & Medical Spa for a few days with my best friend to celebrate our birthdays. We had a fantastic time in Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad). Astoria hotel was a perfect place to stay. Very central with easy reach of all places in Carlsbad including hot springs. We had an amazing view at the Mill Colonnade. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Great spa for relaxing and we especially enjoyed the tea room with different tea variety every day. We would definitely return in the future.

Disappointing Experience Our stay at this 4-star hotel in Karlovy Vary was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, we found there was no hot water and the heating didn’t work. Despite informing the receptionist at 11:30 AM, nothing was fixed by the time we returned in the evening. Communication was nearly impossible as the receptionist spoke no English—unacceptable for a hotel in a popular tourist destination. She was completely unprofessional, strolling around all day with a vape machine in her hand, moaning, and appearing intoxicated or disoriented. After hours of excuses and delays, the issue was only resolved late at night after repeated complaints. Even after the heating was fixed, the room remained freezing. To make matters worse, the room was filthy—there was blood on one of the sheets and dirt behind furniture. This hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star establishment. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. **For upper management: I am referring to the receptionist who was working on Thursday, the 5th of December. Her behavior was completely unacceptable. Also it would be highly recommended to check the rooms before allowing guests to enter.

Our room was very basic, but with a large wardrobe, and a wonderful balcony with columns. The room was clean, the mattresses in the bed comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but everything was enough, scrambled eggs were especially good. A larger mirror was missing in the room, and the chair on the balcony could not have been made of plastic. But, the hotel is not expensive, and we hope that everything will develop, and the next time you come, it will be even better. Very nice and kind staff 😊

We went to the restaurant there and left pretty disappointed for three reasons. Firstly, the waiter was extremely unfriendly. Not only did he hardly speak to us and didn't offer us the menu but also did he make some mistakes and put us in charge of them. Secondly, the Goulash was not a Goulash at all! Instead it was a soup made with minced pork which tasted also fairly salty. Thirdly, there was no facility for changing diapers, so we had to change diapers on the bathroom floor. We cannot recommend the restaurant.

A clean, small hotel in a good location on the main street, with retro décor. Contrary to the description, there is no parking, on arrival you are directed to a pay car park 1.5 km away 🤬 but there is nowhere to park in the evening.

This hotel is overpriced. The location is good, the facade is lovely but there ends the positive experience. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. The plaster is coming off the walls. The breakfast buffet is not good. We had issues during check-in and check-out, where we were asked to pay for an extra bed despite repeatedly explaining that we had already paid in full through a third party (and showing proof of this). This hotel gives a bad name to Karlovy Vary. Please do not book here.
Pablo C — Google review
Average hotel with nice staff in a great location. I travelled with my 3-months old son and it was not a problem in this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially when the lift did not work and I needed help with my stroller. The location of the hotel is great. The windows in my room were dirty, there were spiderwebs in it. Also some of the bathroom equipment was quite old, in the shower there were permanent stains. The breakfast was nothing special.
Kateřina E — Google review
We didn't stay at the hotel but we ate at the restaurant. It was by far the best meal I've had here and the very best steak I've had in a very long time... for the equivalent of €20!! There's no way you get a steak like that anywhere, especially for that price. The pepper gravy was gorgeous and the portions were quite generous. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Sadly it's our last night here but when we return to KV, this will be top of the list for dinner options. Free Wi-Fi too and they take cards. Highly recommend.

I stayed here with my friend for the weekend and we fully enjoyed our stay. The check in was smooth and we got a glass of prosecco. The room was spacious and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the spa area with multiple saunas and pool. Also the Cocktails at the bar were perfect. The breakfast is great as well lacking nothing. We arrived late in the evening and checked into a comfort plus room. Carpeting in the room may have played a major role that my wife felt a strong allergy to dust and on the morning of our good fortune found a room without carpeting and with a normal view of the small hotels garden. I want to note that the staff in the hotel is wonderful and responsive given that we could communicate in Russian and English. All our requests were met. The hotel is well maintained and well kept. The treatments are of a high standard. Excellent food. Especially I want to note the guys from the restaurant Lena, Nadia, Igor, Dima. The manager Frantisek is very helpful. At the reception, too, we all we all prompted and helped. The spa complex is excellent. The hotel has its own spring with mineral water. In general, the price-quality is fully in the norm. We recommend this hotel to visit.

Easily the best spa and sauna under one roof. The hotel is well located at the tail end of the town, however it means you get to enjoy all Karloyve Vary has to offer. I think in the spa and wellness area there are 6 saunas to choose from and at least 3 jacuzzi areas, as well as a mineral bath and a large swimming pool. The complimentary water is also rich in minerals and its just so wonderful. Downsides, the gym is really poor. The room looks like something from 80s and the equipments is not great either. Pretty obvious it doesnt get used. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor (independent to the hotel) are nothing to write home about either. But breakfast (i choose inclusive) on the 1st floor- was wonderful a huge selection of what you want. Its self service but extremely well catering for all.

I am travel agent for over 35 year I never experienced in my life like Carlsbad Plaza Hotel poor customer service and ignorant front desk manager which doesn’t qualify for bellboy in five star hotel, I asked to see the hotel manager and she claimed as she is the manager on duty. The hotel is old you need to take two elevator to reach your room which is very small and has no views when you book online with Expedia after all the stay was terrible and not worth what I paid for two nights $ 500 plus Tax I will never recommend to my friends and clients to stay in this poor hotel in Karlovy Vary 😅

My husband and I treated ourselves for our 10th wedding anniversary with a stay at this hotel. Different to what we are used to when we travel as family a with 3 small kids on a budget, we thoroughly enjoyed the calmness and quiet, the high level of professionalism and our little getaway took us into a somewhat other world. We were able to park our electric car on front of the hotel (price ok), the lady at the check-in spoke English and German. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. The breakfast was tasty and plenty. The wellness and spa area was great. Very clean and comfortable. The different pools and steam rooms and saunas were great and very well maintained. Even the staff was very helpful and friendly. (It’s easy : when you are nice to someone, that someone is very likely nice and helpful too). The evening was spent at the #ID bar. Young professional team, nice atmosphere. Just a little too pricy. The room was lovely. The beds were comfy, the comfort room was spacious and very clean with a small welcome note and small fruit basket. There were bathrobes and slippers and plenty of towels. Coffee machine and minibar in the room.

The Windsor Spa Hotel is a charming retreat located near the Mill Colonnade, featuring elegant rooms and suites, a refined restaurant, a bar, and a thermal pool. The hotel's corner building boasts Gothic windows and is considered an architectural gem in the area. Renovated rooms offer high-quality accommodation with impeccable cleanliness and top-notch household service. Guests have praised the living conditions and medical care provided at the hotel.
Spent 3 weeks here with my Mom, she needs a wheelchair sometimes, while Europe in general does not have strict ♿ laws, the staff at Windsor made sure a wheelchair was available and we had help getting it - in and out of the building. Bedding and towels excellent quality, extra pillows available. Fans are available for warmer days. The place is clean, very clean. I am sensitive to aroma, the air at the Windsor was fresh, large windows everywhere, extra high ceilings. Treatments were helpful, the staff are awesome 😎 there is a good energy overall. Dining experience was fresh , organic dairy, wonderful breads ( baked on premises), plenty of vegetarian options. We had breakfast at two other hotels in the area including the Pupp and it was more less the same traditional local fare. I am personally in the hospitality business, and no stranger to travel, if there were any small issues, please remember there are general cultural differences and it makes the experience more interesting. Book with confidence and have a healthy stay 💖

One of the weirdest hotels I’ve ever stayed at 😂 It’s huge and the whole hotel is a maze with little to no light at times in some areas and the layout doesn’t make much sense. HOWEVER: the rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable. The food was good (nothing fancy but very adequate), the location was great also. Our massage was good and the spa facilities were really nice and clean. This hotel definitely has character and is a little rough around the edges but it was a nice stay and the staff were nice. Would stay here again.

Well located between commercial street and oldtown. Staff in health care center can barely speak English. Russian and Germany words helps a lot. Only 1 or 2 hot dishes are changed daily, no change for the rest. Bit boring after 3days. No swimming pool available. Sauna close at 10pm and no towel if you go to sauna late. Wonder where come from their 4stars.

Villa Basileia, a charming hotel that was once the summer residence of the countess of Schaumburg Lippe, is nestled on the tranquil banks of the Tepla River. This Neo-Romanesque style property serves as an excellent starting point for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling, while also providing easy access to the nearby spa center. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at Le Marche restaurant and take leisurely strolls through the beautiful garden.
The hotel and the remarkable restaurant are housed in a modernized, historic building from the 19th century. Excellent cuisine with a daily changing menu. The rooms are functionally furnished, spacious (we had room no. 7 with a terrace), decent mattresses, WiFi and absolute cleanliness are a priority. Great breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. Attentive and courteous service in the hotel and restaurant. Anyone familiar with the shortage of parking spaces in Karlovy Vary will appreciate the hotel's own parking lot. I will definitely be back.

What would have been a very pleasant stay but unfortunately on our first night we were rudely awaken by other hotel guest and the noise from the above room. The hotel has ‘character’ but with that comes no soundproofing and being able to hear every noise above. When speaking to the reception the next day (as there is no one on reception during the night) they said the hotel is fully booked and didn’t seem very sympathetic considering we weren’t able to sleep. Not a ‘touristy’ hotel more for locals liking a drink and late night. Unfortunately wouldn’t stay again would look for other hotels more in the centre.

Well located but if requiring a decent night of sleep, look somewhere else. Sadly the building is old that noise travels through the floorboards. Every guest arriving above you can be heard. Location and breakfast good

Lovely family like hotel with poetic atmosphere. Thanks to the great location just by the river you can find here peace even in the midst of KVIFF festival. Rooms are cosy, personnel helpful, breakfast tasteful. Ideal for romantic getaway
Hynek S — Google review
Advert was a scam, booked a room for river side and got terrible view to the car park, Room was cold, bed was horrible, noise in hallway and no reception . This place is not for english speaking visitor, neither a relaxing spot. Add to this the reception was very RUDE. Restaurant service was nice, thanks to the gentle lady and the water at the restaurant for sorting issues out. Only restaurant stuff was professional and nice. I will never come back here or recommend to someone.

This hotel has a very calm and soothing feeling to it location right next to Riverside. It is very clean and cute hotel that adds a lot of character to Karlovy Vary. Located in walkable distance to shopping, bars and restaurants. Beautiful location and the rooms are pretty big and clean. If you are looking for an amazing localised experience definitely the place to stay.

Location- 5 out of 5 - located at the riverbank and very close to the main carlsbad promenade. All the main historical sites are moments away. Accomodation - 5 out of 5 - room was tidy, clean and spacious with a good size modern tv a many international tv channels, great view of the river and the mattress is especially comfortable ( to the point you dont want to get of bed.) Room was spacious and had everything it needs. Service- 5 out of 5 - best hotel service I have ever received. The staff were always their to help with good energy to bring. The breakfeast which is excellent by the way with multilple choices of food, is from 8am to 10am but staff were always happy to prolong it whenever I waked up late. In conclusion I cannot fault anything and I will surelly continue to only accomodate in this hotel whenever I am in town. Special thanks to Giorgio, pavel, and Vladimir, and all the other staff of villa Bassilea who made the stay perfect. Kind Regards,

Male Versailles is a luxurious 5-star hotel in Karlovy Vary, just 600 metres from Mill Colonnade. The location, the grounds, the restaurant and everything about the hotel was lovely. Rooms are comfortable and come with a flat-screen TV. There is free WiFi available in all areas of the hotel.
Hotel Malé Versailles is the perfect spot in Karlovy Vary! The location is beautiful, with a small swamp in front that adds to the charm. The Russian church nearby looks like a scene from a magazine, and the surrounding forest is peaceful. The Diana Lookout Tower is just a short walk away, offering stunning views. The hotel staff is friendly, and the location is ideal - only 10 minutes to the center, yet surrounded by nature. With the forest, river, thermal waters, and tower all nearby, it’s the perfect place to relax and explore.

CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL if you are not local. Starting with general comments. The room was fairly comfy, got a nice medieval vibe despite stains on both towels provided. The hotel is located uphill. It is not a terribly long walk from downtown but if you have suitcases you might struggle a bit. We arrived early and were happy about being allowed to check in early at ~12:00. Breakfast was a straight 5/5. So far is a 3.5-4/5. The very frustrating part came from the reception woman who had very limited English capacity. We came from Hong Kong where a visa is not required to travel in Czech. The woman almost refused our check-in by repeating "No", "China" and some other incomprehensible words, left us feeling heavily offended, until decades later she realised the difference between a Hong Kong and a China passport. From there she asked for our addresses and other infos and took another 20 minutes before we could get to our rooms. Checkout was also a disaster. Nobody was sitting at the reception desk at 10:55 while the latest checkout time was 11:00. Minutes later the same woman showed up, and told us to pay straight. The rooms we booked were un-cancellable and we paid in full during the booking. Again she repeated "No pay", called a colleague who talked on the phone with us, finally understood that the money was held at the agency, then she would let us go, which wasted us another 30 minutes. You get a lot of choices there with the price. Choose wisely.

Newly renovated. Cozy, clean in a perfect location. This hotel is recently been renovated with taste and it’s very welcoming, from the furnishing to the staff. The location is right in town but in the nature. Sheets were wonderfully, clean and crisp. Room and bathroom are very spacious. Upon arrival the sofa bed for our daughter was attentively made and extra towels and toiletries were added for her. Beautiful clean (not carpeted) floors, and ceilings with wood beams that made it seem like we were in a cozy cottage. The price was very competitive and included breakfast which was abundant in size and choices. We would definitely recommend this place and hopefully be back one day.
Lucia C — Google review
The hotel itself is good, located near the center. a big advantage is a free parking and included breakfast while your stay. I would highly recommend to stay as the rooms are large. But most of the time you will not be able to find the available room, so reserve the room on time. The price is good around 50€ for the stay.
Valeria N — Google review
Comfortable rooms with good location to local attractions and free parking offered on the premise (though very limited). The breakfast was below average however, with a small selection, especially for vegetarians.
WorldBeliever — Google review
The hotel is small and peaceful, 10 minutes from the old Town. The room is big and clean but without a balcony. There is no lobby as well, so if there is a good weather you can sit outside, but when it's cold or rainy you need to stay in the room...

Small cozy hotel in a quiet area of the city. Just 500 meters down the slope and you are already on the boardwalk by the river. Near many restaurants with national cuisine and a bus stop. The hostess is very friendly and will help you to deal with local transport and sightseeing. Breakfast is delicious and served at a convenient time. The price is very attractive.

(Translated by Google) We really enjoyed our stay here. The guesthouse is very clean and nicely designed. In the bathroom there is everything you need: hand and bath towels (including the foot towel), shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer, facial tissues, cups for the toothbrush, etc. In addition to a small refrigerator (minibar) with drinks, there was also a kettle and a kettle in the room Baskets with bagged tea and snacks available. However, using the minibar is possible against payment at reception. We didn't touch the snack, so we had no experience. The room has a television, but the channels are all only in Czech. The breakfast is extensive, with eggs and warm sausages freshly prepared for guests upon request. A very nice owner, Larisa, who always supports her guests with help and advice, deserves special praise. We received a lot of useful information about the city and the surrounding area from her. Thank you very much for such a loving welcome. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would love to come back again myself.

The street is not called "Na Vyhlidce" for nothing :-) You can walk to the historic center in a flash, you can take the bus back. We decided to drag our legs for a week 🤣 The accommodation is clean. It's not a super modern environment, but it's clean and not broken, so it's completely fine. The fridge and electric kettle in the room were a pleasure. Breakfast is classic, the owner will make hemenex or scrambled eggs on request. As a bonus, the owner and her daughter are incredibly pleasant. You will get tips on where to go for dinner, for example, so that you can enjoy yourself and not let your wallet bleed. We definitely recommend it. (Translated by Google) Great accommodation... I was here for a week as part of a business trip and I liked the accommodation. There was no problem with parking, you just have to park inside in the yard, as it is said that the space on the street is taken up by the neighbors. You can sit in the yard. The rooms were fragrant, clean, probably recently renovated. There is also a small kitchen with a microwave. I give a star down for the soundproofing of the rooms. It's really annoying to hear every word of strangers' conversations during a quiet evening.

(Translated by Google) Great accommodation for a few days, beautifully arranged around the house, well equipped, several attentions from the owners 👍 parking both behind the fence and in front of the house on the road. The only comments we would have are about the very weak soundproofing from the next room, you could hear other tenants, even when they are talking normally, let alone when they are noisier 🫤 and it is a pity that there is no door from the corridor/kitchen to the room - it was cold from the corridor at night.

Ansonsten: Dicke Empfehlung!

(Translated by Google) We would love to come back to Karlovy Vary, but not to this so-called “pension”. We have never experienced anything like this! There are the most dreamy photos circulating on the internet and in reality it's a nightmare. It literally stinks to high heaven in the house and it is so dirty, even filthy, that we were happy to finally be outside again. The niceness of the owner doesn't make this painter any better. Thanks to Booking com, whose friendly employees were immediately competent and refunded us the purchase price immediately without complaint. We then found a super clean hotel ourselves, which quickly made us forget the whole thing.

Apartment Silver 313 is a newly furnished 47-square-meter modern apartment located just a short walk from the art gallery 'Galerie Supermarket wc' and approximately 10 km from Karlovy Vary airport. It boasts a great kitchen, balcony, and excellent equipment, offering great value for its price. Guests have described it as amazing, beautiful, excellently equipped, clean, and with everything new.
The apartment is superb!!! Very comfortable, well equiped, clean and cosy. Central, yet quiet location, all necessary destinations are within 3-10 minutes' walk. The host is very client-oriented, always tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend the apartment for Karlovy Vary vacation, both short- and long-term.

(Translated by Google) Spring Apartments in Karlovy Vary pleasantly surprised us right from the start. Thanks to a very helpful and operative arrangement with the landlady, we were able to check in before the official check-in, which was invaluable on a hot day. The apartment was handed over quickly, easily and with a very nice attitude. The entire apartment is tastefully and, above all, practically equipped. You don't have to look for anything - if you need a shopping bag, it's there. If you need ice, it's waiting in the freezer. It's clear that someone has put in the work to ensure that everything you need is at hand, including small toys for small children, which wasn't relevant to us, but it definitely shows that families are also thought of. It's about a ten-minute walk to the colonnade, which is an ideal distance. Shops and restaurants are practically around the corner, so everything is at hand. The price in relation to the location, quality of accommodation and duration of stay is more than favorable. It's clear to us - if we come to Karlovy Vary next time, this is the only place to stay. Předání apartmánu proběhlo rychle, jednoduše a s velmi milým přístupem. Celý apartmán je vkusně a hlavně prakticky vybavený.

(Translated by Google) Nice apartment. But there are some downsides. Problem with cleanliness. The shower was not cleaned after the previous guests, and this spoiled the impression, when you come to rest you don’t really want to clean the room so that you can live there. Well, if salt, pepper and sugar are offered, they should be on the floor. It wouldn’t hurt to update the dishes.

Apartmá Andrea 1907 is a modern and cozy apartment located in Karlovy Vary, just a short walk from the Tetragonal brick Diana Lookout Observation Tower. The apartment offers Wi-Fi and a ski school for guests interested in skiing. It is praised for its central location near shops and restaurants, as well as its tranquility despite being close to the river. The owner, Matej, is described as friendly and helpful.
Istayed in the Andrea Apartment for four days. The apartment is new, and decorated with the modern/cosy flair of all the Baranek Resort Apartments in Karlovy Vary. What I was delighted with was the central location (just a few steps down to the river) and its absolute tranquility. The bedroom is cosily nestled in the steep hill with no street, and, although this is a grund floor apartment, the street before the fron room has hardly any traffic. The heating system and the kitchen supplies are state of art. The hosts leve a parcatical supply of edibles, tea and coffee which you can purchase at an absolutely moderate price. I was there February 2023, and I booked for next year again. A real pearl!
