Prater is a historic public park in Vienna that has been open to the public since 1766. It features a long promenade, traditional amusement park rides, a planetarium, and a museum showcasing its rich history. The park also houses children's rides from the '20s and '30s that survived a fire in 1945. One of its most iconic attractions is the Prater Ferris Wheel, offering an unforgettable view of Vienna from above.
A Perfect Blend of Nature and Fun – A Park for Everyone! This park truly offers the best of both worlds. On one side, you’ll find a peaceful and charming green area with a pond full of ducks, perfect for a relaxing walk, biking, or even a picnic under the trees. It's an ideal spot to unwind, enjoy nature, or just let the kids run free while you sit back and take in the serene atmosphere. On the other side of the park is a huge amusement area that’s packed with games and attractions for all ages. From thrilling rides to fun games for kids, there's something here for everyone. We tried the giant Ferris wheel, which gave us amazing views — definitely a highlight! The ride cost €6 per person, and it was well worth it. Keep in mind that while entry to the general park is free, each amusement game or ride has its own separate fee. There’s also a fantastic section within the park filled with restaurants! you can visit day or night. It’s a great area to relax after a walk or a fun ride, and it's equally enjoyable for both adults and kids. All in all, this park is a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a calm afternoon in nature or an exciting day of fun, it has it all in one place!

A wonderful place to visit! The park is spacious and beautiful, perfect for walking and relaxing. The Ferris wheel gives amazing views of Vienna, and there are many fun attractions, cafes, and places to enjoy. A great spot for families, friends, or solo visits. Highly recommended .
Saeed B — Google review
Had an amazing time . The rides were exciting, the atmosphere was lively, and I had so much fun — even went solo and loved every moment. A perfect place for thrill and good vibes!
Purnima T — Google review
The rides are great, and thwre are lots of them! I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the prices. Each ride is at least 6€ per person, and you cant buy group tickets. For a family of 4 that wants to enjoy a full day of theme park adventure - it is a sizable expense
Leah G — Google review
Loved this park, free to enter and you pay per ride, went like 3pm and not all rides were open but around 5pm most of them were open. Booster king, Black Mamba, Wiener looping & Volare were apur favorite rides
Steven I — Google review
The amusement park was really fun! There were many different rides and attractions — I wanted to try them all. There are also food stalls and cafés, which make it easy to spend a few hours there comfortably. I visited after 8 PM and didn’t have to wait in line for any of the rides. The atmosphere was lively, colorful, and full of energy. A great place to enjoy with family or friends.
Ayşenur — Google review
We had lots of fun at Prater. Many fun and exciting rides. Amazing views, fun and lively atmosphere. I expected prices to be higher, but they weren’t. There’s no entry fee, you pay for your rides. In November 2025 most rides cost 5€ per person. The famous ferrys wheel cost around 15€ for adults and half price for children. Many attractions available in the evening (we visited 8-10pm) for adults and kids (9 y/old)
Mariam B — Google review
The venue is good. 3 different stages inside it with multiple genres. The crowd is local but very young demographic. Not the best if you are above 25 unless the dj is great

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, Hotel Sacher Wien is an opulent and iconic establishment located just across from the renowned State Opera House. Its strategic location provides easy access to Vienna's vibrant attractions and transportation hubs. The hotel boasts elegant accommodations, two refined restaurants - Rote Bar and Grune Bar, serving international and Viennese cuisine, a terrace bar for unwinding, and a full-service spa for relaxation.
I spent three unforgettable nights at Hotel Sacher and loved every single moment. From the moment I arrived, every member of the staff went above and beyond — genuinely kind, impeccably professional, and attentive to every detail. Their warmth and care didn’t just meet expectations, they defined them. My room was exquisite, the breakfast selection was endless, and the décor throughout the hotel was nothing short of breathtaking. It’s a rare experience when luxury feels this personal. I would be absolutely honored to return and will enthusiastically recommend Hotel Sacher to everyone I know.

Okay, yes I bought into the hype. We lined up on our second day and celebrated my birthday there. The ambiance is undeniable. It is decadent in every aspect. I have to say I understand why people want to gather there it is so beautiful, but trust me the famous sachertorte is a waste of money. The hype on this cake is 1000x overrated. I would have preferred any number of desserts ahead of this. And trust me it's no better at Demel or any other place. What Sacher Cafe has is a refined almost snouty heir that must be experienced. Go there for the experience get dessert somewhere else.
Rick P — Google review
My family and I had coffee and cakes upstairs in the café. The children were delighted with the wonderful chandelier which hung by the stairs between the ground and first floor. Sachers was a breath of old and elegant Vienna after our visit to see the incredible Spanish Riding School performance.

Many thanks to the fantastic team at Sacher Hotel Wien who made our stay (03-06 Oct 25) so memorable. Although we had been to Vienna many times in the past this was our first time at the splendid Sacher, together with friends, and we were certainly not disappointed! A short guided tour allowed us to get our bearings before being shown to our elegant Signature Suite room with view. Following the most marvellous breakfast, blue skies greeted us on the first morning for our open top carriage tour together with silver tray Sacher Cuvee (arranged by the ever helpful concierge) from the front of the hotel. Our long weekend took in a fabulous performance of the Spanish Riding School only a short walk away. We had the pleasure of dining in the Rote Bar and enjoyed drinks in the delightful Blaue Bar whilst there, both of which we would highly recommend. A beautiful hotel and most wonderful experience all round, attributable in no small part to the truly outstanding group of colleagues who work there. We look forward to visiting again.

This was my first stay at the Sacher and first visit to Vienna. I was simply blown away by the incredible level of service, warmth, professionalism and the overall property itself. This place is special. From the amazing staff to the location to the wonderful rooms and restaurant the Sacher by far exceeded my expectations. I had the best birthday yet and I owe it all to the team at this hotel. This will be my home whenever I'm in Vienna. You never forget how people make you feel and the top tier hospitality that was extended to me during my stay I will never forget. Thank you to the Management and staff for all that you do! I hope to return next year. With Gratitude and thanks -Troy

Wonderful experience in the Blaue Bar. Our server, Diego, was attentive and heartfelt in his wishing me a happy birthday. My Sacher Torte plate had "happy birthday" written on it in chocolate. Very personalized attention. Looking forward to my next visit.

I spent one wonderful night at Hotel Sacher in 2024, and it was truly memorable. The staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive, making me feel very welcome. My room was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the hotel’s elegant decor created a perfect atmosphere. Luxury and comfort combined in the best way. I would gladly return and highly recommend Hotel Sacher to anyone visiting Vienna.

Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior at Sacher Restaurant I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the behavior of one of the supervisors in the black suit during my recent visit to the Sacher Restaurant. I kindly asked if I could sit at a table near the window, and the supervisor responded in a very rude and abrupt way, telling me it was reserved. However, shortly after, two guests who arrived after me requested to move to another table, and he immediately accommodated them without hesitation. This inconsistent treatment made me feel disrespected and unwelcome. I believe all guests should be treated with the same courtesy and professionalism, especially in an establishment known for its high standards. I hope you will look into this matter, as such behavior does not reflect the reputation of Hotel Sacher.

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, Hilton Vienna Park offers an upscale experience with its elegantly designed rooms and a chic restaurant. This refined property boasts a range of amenities including a gym, sauna, and 21 versatile event spaces, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. Its prime location adjacent to Stadtpark and the iconic Ringstrasse allows guests to easily explore some of Vienna's most celebrated landmarks like the Vienna State Opera and Hofburg Palace.
Pleasant stay here for 13 nights I got an early check in thanks to being a Hilton Honors Member, AND an Upgrade. Staff tries very hard to accommodate. Room attendants did a good job on cleanliness of our Room. Lobby was always spotless. Breakfast Buffet was pricey for what was offered so we opted to pass on that. They had a beautiful Bar (Selleny’s) with Outdoor Seating. Nice, but pricey as expected. If you want a quieter room experience with your Window open try not to get a room on the Landstrasse/Hauptstrasse. It’s the Front of the Hotel on the Train Station side. Bustling area until 1 a.m. or so. Beware. This Hotel is very Convenient to endless Shopping/Museums/Parks/Restaurants. If you like to walk then this is your Hotel. Like taking Trains, Trolleys, Buses? Then right across the Street are the Stations. Awesome. Come here. It’s a good deal.
Tomas M — Google review
Great place to stay. Hotel location is central for most of Vienna's attractions, and only a short train ride to/from airport. Excellent choice of fresh food or hot food for breakfast, but sometimes it was very busy if you arrived at certain times. Options for dinner at the hotel were limited/expensive but lots of excellent alternatives within walking distance of the hotel. Friendly service and the room was maintained to a high standard. Lovely birthday treat - I will definately be coming back for another visit !
Joyce H — Google review
This Hilton is by far one of the best ones I’ve stayed at. The service has been above and beyond. The rooms and hotel are really well maintained/clean. Staff wise, everyone has been so kind. Tush from the front desk was exceptional while checking me in. Arina in the executive lounge was extremely attentive and kind. It was busy and she took great care of all the guests with a smile.
Kayden B — Google review
5 stars everything! Lovely Hilton experience! Best bed, top notch hot breakfast with real honeycomb on the granola build your own cereal bar, walls of windows with great views of the city, great pillows, best sleep, great hair dryer, iron & ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning. Wish we had stayed two more days! Will be back. Easy walkability!! Beautiful property.
Leslie T — Google review
I stayed at the hotel for five nights. Everything was excellent, and the hotel is beautiful with a comfortable lounge. The receptionist — I couldn’t get her name, she had black hair — was rude and had a bad attitude. The breakfast area on the ground floor is filled with cooking smells; I suggest enclosing the cooking area with glass. Do not allow them to hold any security deposit from your card because it will not be refunded to you.
F A — Google review
One of the best Hilton's I've been to. I would say this is more like a Conrad! Excellent service and amazing food at the bar with local food and drink options. The executive lounge has a lot of detail, art, design and plenty of space. Even an outdoor area for the summer months. The selection of local beer as well as wine was great! I loved the local Austrian red (pictured). Keep up the great work!
Stefano V — Google review
Great hotel for a business event. They had enough big and small rooms to accommodate what we needed. The location could not be better, next to the train station directly to the airport, a park and 10’ walk from the city center. The rooms were all you need. The only but was the strange opening times of the bar and the disco downstairs. I would recommend it for personal reasons too
Jessica S — Google review
Great hotel if you want to explore Vienna. The rooms were a nice size with soft comfortable beds. The hotel provided shampoo and soaps were of good quality. I liked that it was easy to get to the subway and airport train which were just across the street.

4Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Vienna

Hotel
Hotel Imperial is a luxurious 19th-century hotel that offers sophisticated dining, a piano bar, and a gym. It has hosted notable guests such as Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms, Emperor Franz Joseph, and Charlie Chaplin. Originally built as the neo-classical Palais Wurttemberg in 1866, it quickly became known as Vienna's finest and grandest hotel. The property retains its reputation and the ambiance of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Absolutely Exceptional – A Birthday to Remember! We stayed for just one night, and it was truly memorable. Thank you. Yes It was my birthday! They spoiled us with the perfect bottle of champagne and a delicious cake decorated with fresh fruit. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive. The suite: stunning, elegant and spacious with every detail reflecting luxury and comfort. Every part of our stay exceeded our expectations: the atmosphere, the service, the little touches of thoughtfulness. It felt like a perfect blend of history, elegance, and true 5-star hospitality. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Without a doubt, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Highly, highly recommended!
Ina M — Google review
Adding my 5 Star Review! This is an amazing hotel with fantastic staff. We were warmly greeted by Atilla when we arrived & then he remembered us each day we stayed. It was a fantastic location for the Opera and our sightseeing plans. The breakfast is delicious and beautifully executed each morning. The bar area was a great place to convene with our family as we planned our next days.
Amy H — Google review
I do not need to say any more about a hotel that was built to be a palace in the city. The hotel is being kept-up perfectly at that level, which is no easy task. What I find really impressive is the people working there who make a stay both a glorious experience, and at the same time give guests a very warm welcome feeling with ease from the heart, not with gestures like from some management-workshop. Especially the front desk always gave us a feeling of returning to a home-away-from-home. With different shifts they kept that up. Still, out of all those great people I'd especially like to mention Mrs. Baur and Mrs. Steinmetz, Mr. Ludewig who helped us tremendously, and Mrs. Elbasi. Everyone working for the team of the hotel gave the beautiful building its soul, but those four stood out even in that amazing team.
Sven H — Google review
Beautiful hotel. Wonderful team. Super Austrian speciality food and wine. It is clear the team (many of whom have been together for years) are just that, a team. Unreservedly recommend the Imperial. One star knocked off. The owner perhaps should be investing in the buildings heritage to ensure it stays at the elite end of Vienna hotels. The Bristol is undergoing a multi million euro refurbishment... However the people make the experience and without doubt the Imperial is blessed to have such a loyal committed group of professionals, front of house, kitchen, concierge and housekeeping. Bravo.
Kevin M — Google review
I stayed at Hotel Imperial in Vienna and honestly, it’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. The service is exceptional, the staff are incredibly professional, and the rooms have that luxurious, royal classic style that makes you feel like you’re staying in a palace. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city and close to everything. Even the breakfast and in-house services are true five-star quality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. It’s absolutely worth it.
Ali A — Google review
The Hotel Imperial in Vienna is truly impressive. The breakfast is very good — fresh, varied, and prepared with great care. The hotel preserves its historic character while integrating modern comforts in a way that feels natural and refined. The staff are friendly and professional, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place I can genuinely recommend.
Norbert B — Google review
I'm shocked that anyone could rate this hotel less than 5 stars- it was exceptional in every way. The staff, especially Mladen at breakfast daily, was beyond excellent. We had a group of 5 friends and all of us were blown away. The gorgeous bar downstairs and the rich history and beautiful, elegant decor was just gorgeous. The location is ideal- close to all of the fun but quiet and walkable to everything. The only negative as far as our group is concerned is this was our first stop in 3 different cities and we are now spoiled rotten for the rest of our city stays. We should have gone their last as now nothing else is measuring up to it. People complaining about the bathtubs have obviously never been to Europe or anywhere outside of their tiny little town as that is par for all European, luxury included, bathrooms. Don't hesitate to stay here- it's the best in Vienna.
Danielle S — Google review
What can I say about my brief, utilitarian visit to this grand hotel on a cold October afternoon? Buying the distinctive blue boxes that contain the most delicious tortes they make at this luxury hotel you can't afford, will make you feel, momentarily, like a part of the nobility, after which you will head back to your two-star, but-still-Vienna-cool hotel with the thick, burgundy curtains and the old electrical outlets that still don't know about the digital age. The young woman who helped me made me feel welcome so, kudos to her for not batting an eye when the plebeian walked in. Not to miss: a visit to the opulent restrooms. Just that will give you a sense that you too, have no cares in the world... even if it's only for the three minutes it takes you to pee in the enclosed WC with walls of fine marble, and to wash and dry your hands with the individual towelettes provided for that purpose. You too will feel imperial as you stroll out of this most grand of accommodations into the crisp, cold air.

Schönbrunn Palace is an 18th-century summer residence that offers tours of its opulent rococo ceremonial rooms and lavish gardens with a maze. The palace boasts beautiful Baroque and Neo-Classical architecture, reflecting Vienna's rich history as the town of Habsburgs and Maria Theresa. It is Vienna's most visited attraction, featuring 45 luxurious state rooms, ceremonial halls, and private apartments once inhabited by Empress Elisabeth and Emperor Franz Joseph.
Gorgeous place to visit- bring a coat if going in the winter or fall as it can get chilly. Recommend buying tickets ahead of time and just walk to the front of the palace to enter- audio guides can be procured upon entry. If you have kids- there is also a small zoo, and a playground in the garden maze area.

We had a wonderful day exploring Schönbrunn Palace and its beautiful gardens! The place is enormous, so expect to spend almost the entire day walking around, discovering its stunning architecture, elegant interiors, and rich history. There are plenty of benches outside where you can rest, have a picnic, or simply people-watch. The gardens are incredibly lovely and very well-maintained, and the entire area is so organized that you’ll enjoy exploring no matter which part you visit. There’s also a children’s museum, zoo, mazes, cafés, restaurants, and more! We especially enjoyed the short hike up to the Gloriette for a breathtaking view of the palace grounds. A definite must-see when in Vienna!

I was only outside as I was interested in thr Christmas market . There were alcohol free options and vegan as well. Market entry was Free, however, the special light garden git an try fee of 24 Euros , 99 percent wheelchair accessible. There was one feature where to see fully you had to go upstairs, otherwise everywhere you could roll.

It was my first visit to Schönbrunn Palace in 47 years, and its magnificent scenery was as wonderful as ever as a symbol of the Habsburg dynasty. The lavish decorations inside the palace and the splendor of the gardens are as magnificent as ever, demonstrating the majesty of a World Heritage Site that is worth revisiting. Walking around the vast gardens, I was reminded of its grandeur and splendor. The splendid decorations and paintings inside the palace are also worth seeing.
Taka N — Google review
You need to explore all the places so a classic plus ticket is recommended for 75 euros, this will cover all the gardens, zoo, terrace, and the palace. This will be a long trip and you need to rest between them so I'd recommend to start your trip at 10 a.m. to finish it at 5 p.m. I strongly recommend to buy your tickets online becuase there was a very long line. I will leave you with the images to rate the experience 😊
Younus J — Google review
Must visit experience with good audio guide cost included in the ticket. The beautiful gardens beside the palace add to the charm of it and the grandeur of the palace is amazing. We had a great time at the Christmas market setup right outside the palace in early November.

This spot is heaven on earth. I was excited to catch the early Christmas market in the palace gardens, so many great food stalls and adorable Christmas goodies shops! The evening ambiance with all the lights was simply stunning. A truly enchanting and memorable experience.

The Palace is absolutely stunning! The architecture is magnificent, and the gardens surrounding the palace are beautifully designed and very spacious. Walking through the grounds, you can enjoy fountains, sculptures, and perfectly maintained flower beds. The area around the palace is full of charm and offers great spots for photos. Visiting Schönbrunn Palace is a truly unforgettable experience and a must-see when in Vienna.

Amazing park, we were very impressed with beautiful old trees everywhere, huge kids playground and well organized structure. Highly recommended for visiting 😍

Adrianna F — Google review
The most beautiful park in Vienna! I discovered this park two years after I moved to Vienna and this is park turned into my go-to park for enjoying the day, reading, picnic and every time someone visits me in Vienna I show them the Türkenschanzpark. It’s a big area and it offers everything. A lot benches, like really a lot of benches, a Cafe/restaurant in the middle of the park, many table tennis (you have to bring your own supplies) beautiful flowers, small „lakes“, dog zones, playgrounds and many more things to discover!
Milenko — Google review
Great parc, beautiful and big enough so we do not feel like it is crowded. Lots of spaces to do anything we want on the benches or grass, but also organized spaces for table tennis or kids. Nice points of view with the great advantage of autumn : colors everywhere you go !
Chloé T — Google review
Amazing, colorful and compact park worthy of visit from all age groups. Especially in autumn every corner in this park appears in amazing colors. There is ample of parking along the streets around the park. One can do all sort of activities be it jogging, enjoying the sun, having food, playing some table tennis etc. The only downside is if you dont live in nearby districts it sounds a bit far and hard to reach. But after the journey, the visit is totally worth it.

Meliá Vienna is an upscale hotel located in Austria's tallest skyscraper, the Danube City Tower. With 58 floors of cutting-edge futuristic design, the hotel offers a unique and luxurious experience. The rooms feature modern amenities and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning city views. Guests can enjoy a posh restaurant, fitness center, and rooftop lounge within the hotel. Additionally, the property offers wellness amenities including state-of-the-art gym facilities and holistic health programs for rejuvenation and revitalization.
Great Stay with the Coldest Room Ever! We stayed here during the summer, and for us, air conditioning is a top priority. This hotel absolutely nailed it! The room was the coldest we’ve ever had, which was a huge relief in the heat. Big thumbs up for that! Housekeeping also deserves praise, the room was consistently clean, towels were changed daily, and everything was well maintained. We really appreciated the effort. Now, if you're very detail-oriented, you might notice some imperfections in the carpet, a few burnt spots (possibly from cigarettes) and some visible stains. But since we could tell the room was clean, we were okay with it. Breakfast was another highlight, lots of options and everything we tried was good. The only real downside was the reception. They were polite, but always seemed in a hurry to end the call, which felt a bit rushed at times. Overall, despite the small flaws, we had a really good experience and would definitely consider coming back.
Aiko F — Google review
We stayed here last week for our honeymoon. The room was spacious and clean. We had a premium room on floor 13. The staff was lovely. We did ask for an early check in but unfortunately it was not possible due to the hotel being busy. However, they did welcome us with a free bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries in our room with a lovely welcome note. We were looked after well during our stay. We requested a late check out on our last day and the hotel happily accommodated us for that. Melia Vienna and the team, thank you for making our stay with you memorable. <3

Quick one night stay. Front desk was friendly upon check-in. She was able to answer all my questions. Fast and easy process since I prepaid online for the stay. Used the public parking garage which we paid directly and not with the hotel since we wanted in and out access. Asked for a higher floor but she explained the higher rooms available at that time didn’t have great views. We opted for level 5 and the view was very nice. We got one of the newly renovated rooms. Very clean and modern. Everything was in working condition. Absolutely no complaints. Used the fitness center during my stay. Small but they had the equipment I needed. I was grateful they offered water, towels, and apples. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Melissa D — Google review
As I’m a Meliá member and have stayed numerous times at Melia Bali I thought I would try this hotel. Check in was great and staff member courteous, as was checkout. Our room on the 14th floor was a little disappointing. The carpet was worn and stained in places, no kettle in room, had to ask for that. The bedhead, white vinyl, smelt and had white tape on a spot where it must be damaged. The bed cover was very thin, and not cosy at all. Breakfast was hit and miss. Asked for fresh fruit and staff member came back with what was obviously very old apples. One coffee machine was not working very well. Staff had to use a spoon to dislodge coffee beans regularly. The worst experience was at their “restaurant 57”. Made to feel like we put the staff member out because we wanted to have dinner, but didn’t have a reservation even though we are staying at their hotel. Not too busy either that night so he accommodated us. He needs a lesson on customer service in my opinion. We didn’t mind the location but it was a far walk from restaurants and attractions in Vienna centre.
Justine S — Google review
I had a truly wonderful stay at Melia Vienna. The rooms were exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. I stayed on the 57th floor, which offered an amazing view over the city and the Danube – absolutely stunning! The staff were extremely polite and professional, always ready to help with a smile. But most of all, I would like to give a special thank you to Laura, who warmly welcomed me and kindly arranged an early check-in for my room. Her friendly and courteous attitude made me feel very comfortable from the moment I arrived. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip to Vienna!
Ardavan E — Google review
The hotel itself is visually appealing, with a stylish design and a truly impressive view that adds to its charm. The rooms were spacious, featuring large, comfortable beds and generously sized bathrooms, which made for a pleasant stay from a comfort perspective. However, a few aspects of the experience were disappointing. The Flow Bar and restaurant, which we were looking forward to, were not open during the times we expected—something that wasn’t clearly communicated in advance. This left the 57 Lounge as the only available bar, but unfortunately, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which made it an uninviting space to relax in. Additionally, the room service menu was quite limited, offering only a small selection of options, which didn’t match the expectations set by the hotel’s otherwise upscale presentation. Overall, while the hotel has many positives in terms of design, comfort, and location, the limited dining options and poor communication around available facilities took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable experience.
Mathew B — Google review
I booked this hotel expecting a five-star experience, but it’s nowhere close to that standard. From the moment I arrived, I regretted my choice. There are no basic amenities in the room — no dental kit, no complimentary water, no toiletries, and even the minibar is completely empty. The bathroom is dark and poorly equipped. For a supposed five-star hotel, this is unacceptable. The check-in time is 3 PM and check-out is 11 AM, which already feels unreasonable, but what’s worse is that when I arrived early and asked if they could notify me once my room was ready, they said they don’t offer that service — something even three-star hotels usually do. Lastly, the hotel entrance passes through a smoking area, meaning guests must walk through cigarette smoke to get inside. Overall, this was a major disappointment and definitely not a five-star experience.
Tuğçe A — Google review
This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Staff are mostly untrained students who don’t care about guests. The hotel advertises itself as celiac-friendly but it is not – I waited 15 minutes for an omelet only to be told my order was never placed. I paid for a family room and got a tiny room with extra beds squeezed in, dirty and noisy with a broken air conditioner. No one was available to help with luggage, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. The room itself is falling apart (see photo). Absolutely not recommended.

Leonardo Hotel Vienna Schönbrunn is a modern hotel offering unfussy quarters with complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour lobby bar. Guests can enjoy great breakfast options catering to different preferences, while the friendly staff ensures an accommodating stay.
I spent a few days at Hotel Leonardo Vienna and was very pleased with my experience. The location is convenient, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would especially like to thank the breakfast staff: always kind, smiling, and attentive to guests' needs. The variety and quality of the breakfast made my stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks also to the night reception team, especially the Iranian gentleman, for being so helpful, professional, and welcoming during our stay. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel 1 minutes walk from the underground. Room was great with very comfortable large bed. Bathroom was compact but had everything that you need. Breakfast was good, hot food only considered of bacon, scrambled eggs and frankfurter sausage, but the cold options was very good. Check-in & check-out was quick & efficient.
David D — Google review
I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. Normally, I like to keep my reviews positive and focused on the good, but in this case, I feel it’s important to share both sides of the experience. Let’s start with the positives. The location is absolutely excellent. Being right next to the metro made traveling around Vienna incredibly easy and saved us a lot on taxis, from our arrival at the airport to our departure from the central train station. There’s also a Spar supermarket right next door, along with other shops, bakeries, and some great places for breakfast, casual dining, and of course, beer. The hotel is only a couple of metro stops from most of the main attractions, which was very convenient. The rooms themselves were fairly spacious, with enough seating, a desk, and a TV, which made the stay comfortable in terms of layout. Unfortunately, the downsides left a lasting impression. The bedding was not very clean, and ours even had a stain. Housekeeping wasn’t thorough — used cups were removed but not replaced. Some staff members were friendly, but others came across as quite rude. Initially, we were given a room facing a construction site, and we had to request a change. It’s puzzling why better rooms weren’t offered right away if they were available. Overall, a hotel with great potential due to its location, but the service and cleanliness need serious improvement.
Su — Google review
Everything was perfect — the staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help. The U4 metro line is just one minute from the hotel. Rooms are clean, and towels are changed on a daily basis. Beds are super comfortable. Although the hotel is located on a busy street, there was no noise from outside thanks to excellent sound insulation. Parking, like in most hotels in Vienna, is expensive (€18 per day), but there’s a P+R parking facility literally 2 minutes from the hotel for just €8 per day. Breakfast is decent and varied — there’s something for everyone. It costs €15 per person, and when compared to eating elsewhere, it’s definitely worth it. Overall, a great hotel — I’m adding it to my favorites, and during my next visit to Vienna, it will definitely be my first choice. Once again, all compliments to the very pleasant staff!
Nenad Š — Google review
Location is not completely central but the metro station is right in front of the hotel and you're only a few stations from everything. Schoenbrunn park is at walking distance though. The hotel is very quirt. Housekeeping is excellent. Clean, spotless. Very good value for money.
Yaqub L — Google review
I stayed at Leonardo Hotel Schönbrunn and I am very happy with my choice. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, just what you need after a day of walking around Vienna. Comfortable bed, quiet in the hotel and a very good sleep. The breakfast was varied and tasty, with everything you need to start the day well. The staff at the reception and restaurant were friendly and prompt, always ready to help. The location is excellent - close to the metro station, you can quickly get anywhere in the city. Overall, a very good value hotel. I would come back without hesitation.
Valy N — Google review
I will recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Vienna. The metro station is right across the street, and there’s a supermarket next to the building, which makes it very convenient. Most of all, the breakfast is excellent. I’ve been traveling through several countries for three weeks now, and I already miss this place so much. This hotel gave me such a wonderful impression of Vienna, and I highly recommend it.
S. C — Google review
The hotel claims to have a parking garage, but they've also rented the parking garage underneath the building to a supermarket. Yes, there is parking, but the hotel charges 18 euros per night in advance upon arrival and gives you a two-day entry and exit pass. And you have to go out from the hotel to get in to parking area. We told them the TV wasn't working, but the receptionist said there wasn't any technician available in the evenings. The coffee machine was also broken and only poured very little coffee into our cups, so we asked for coffee in the lobby. The receptionist's smile at night isn't genuine, and you can sense it. She's a bit sarcastic and overbearing. They told us to greet guests with a smile, but she's forced to do her job. Breakfast, like the parking garage, is an extra 15 euros. If you ask for a room to be cleaned, your room is cleaned. There's no water in the minibar, only one bottle of soda. The next day, when we asked for the room to be cleaned, the trash hadn't been taken out, and the minibar hadn't been refilled with a new one bottle soda. It's far from the city center but close to the metro station. It's a 20-minute metro ride to the center. There's construction in front of and next to the hotel, but you can't hear the noise from the windows. Room is old fahioned, furnitures are old. Pillows are soft and comfortable. There’s no views. Just an average hotel room, It's expensive for the service, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel again.

First time to Vienna. A beautiful place and people. However the city must go in tandem with the hotel and in Le Meridien we found it!! Staff superb!! Hotel check in and out great...Room perfect!! Bed so comfortable I dropped off in minutes. I've stayed at many 5* hotels but the whole vibe and ambience perfect. Thank you for making our stay an exceptional one...

We stayed at the Le Méridien for 4 nights. It is a great hotel with convenient access to restaurants and tourist attractions. The staff were excellent. The breakfast choices were very good. The omelette station was great. The hotel was a 30 minute walk to the Belvedere palace, less than 5 minutes to the opera house, and a 10 minute walk to old town.

Wonderful stay at this hotel earlier this season. The room was well maintained and the location was fantastic. It was walk-able to many attractions, and accessible to their metro stations. I liked that the hotel organized events for guests to attend in addition to their restaurants on site.

This was our second time to stay in this hotel. It’s such a great location! The rooms feel just a tad dated but it’s still comfortable. The service is great and staff are polite. The gym is a little small but 24 hours. There is public Parking is downstairs and the hotel has valet. Overall would come back again.

Pathetic service in the You Bar which is part of the hotel. Really bad customer service for the breakfast buffet where no one came to ask if we wanted coffee and to top it off, the waiters felt like they were doing us a favor if we asked for anything. The only two good things was the location of the hotel and the main reception/receptionists were nice.
Pallavi B — Google review
I loved the hotel, it was nice and clean despite that it’s an old building it was well maintained. The location was the perfect, quiet yet near a lot of the city’s scenic spots. The staff were amazing and super nice. I didn’t get the honor gold member upgrade as it was explained to me that they were fully booked.
Maha A — Google review
On paper the hotel seems like quite far away. But it was really in a very nice area. With greenery around it and short distance away from the key sights. It was easy to reach and pleasant walk to these places. Breakfast was great and yes they have staff to find a table and get it cleaned up before showing you to the table. We got interconnecting rooms. But one room was a lot bigger than the other 😀. The stay was very enjoyable.
Theodore T — Google review
We booked this hotel via booking.com two weeks in advance of our weekend break to Vienna. We had reserved a 4 night stay with breakfast and were really looking forward to our stay here; the hotel looked lovely and was in a great location for our planned itinerary to museums and historic buildings etc. We arrived in Vienna on a Friday afternoon, with about ten minutes to spare before we could check in at Le Méridien when my partner received a message from Booking.com to say that the hotel had cancelled our reservation. We contacted the hotel to query the cancellation and received no explanation, apology or even politeness, only a rude confirmation that they had cancelled the booking. We then had to spend half an hour in the train station surrounded by our luggage trying to find another suitable reservation which was incredibly stressful to say the least. I can’t really comment on the quality of the hotel, however we found their customer service non-existent and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rainers Hotel Vienna is a contemporary property located conveniently between the train stations MID and HBF, offering easy access to various routes within a 5-minute walk. The hotel provides comfortable and cozy rooms with spacious accommodations and a pleasant view. Guests can enjoy a Viennese restaurant, seated terrace, and bar on-site. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, although some find it slightly salty.
extremely clean and the breakfast was honestly one of the best l’ve ever had. The staff were also kind and helpful. However, the location is quite far from the city centre, which can be inconvenient if you’re visiting Vienna for just a few days. There’s no metro station nearby, but buses can take you to the centre relatively easily. The area itself felt unfamiliar at first, and I didn’t feel very comfortable initially, but it turned out to be safe and the locals were actually friendly. Just something to be aware of, especially if you’re not used to staying outside the more touristy parts of the city. Also, I recommend booking breakfast in advance it’s slightly cheaper. If you’re traveling with a car, keep in mind there’s a parking fee, and they also charge extra for pets.

Recently we stayed in the Hotel 5 days, the Hotel is very good, the accommodations is great, very clean. The breakfast is 5 star, the lounge has a bartender who is very young and he is very attentive, friendly and with good customer service. The ladies that working in the reception are not friendly, the language is limited. They have to improve it because remember is the face of the Hotel. The other thing is that is far of the Center.
Aida F — Google review
While the location was convenient, my overall experience was disappointing. The room felt quite outdated and dimly lit, with worn furniture and very limited amenities. Basic items like cutlery were missing, which made the stay less comfortable. I asked the staff ( A WOMAN) for some cutlery at night , and instead of offering to bring it or explaining the policy politely, they simply told me to come down to the reception and ended the call with “OK? bye.” This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially in a hospitality setting. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously — updating the rooms and improving staff communication would greatly enhance the guest experience.
Jameson P — Google review
🏨🚇🥐🧼 I think the hotel is in a very well-connected area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main bus and train terminal and just a short metro ride into Old Town for all your sightseeing needs. The room was spacious with solid housekeeping and a clean, well-kept bathroom. No complaints regarding cleanliness — everything was taken care of. One thing to note is that the hotel is massive. We were given the very last room at the end of a long corridor, which meant it took nearly five minutes to walk to the elevator. So when you check in, I recommend asking for a room closer to the elevator, otherwise it can be a bit of a hassle going back and forth. Something that left a bad taste was only being told at checkout that breakfast would be charged as an extra. My honest tip is that if you do decide to have breakfast, just don’t mention it. With the number of guests they manage, it’s unlikely they’ll track who actually showed up at the buffet. The breakfast itself was average — your typical hotel spread. The eggs tasted a bit off, but I made it work with multiple cappuccinos from the machine, plus some sausages and toast to fill up. Overall, nothing fancy, but probably great value considering how expensive Vienna can be. Most importantly, the hotel is very well connected to public transit, with a metro station just a five-minute walk away. That line has frequent trains to and from Old Town, which made sightseeing super convenient. I’ll probably stay here again, though I don’t think the breakfast is worth the price, and I do wish they had been more upfront about the cost from the beginning. Did you find this review helpful? ❤️

I checked in on Tuesday, August 26th, a little after 8:00 PM as part of a group of about 45 guests. There was a lady at the front desk, and I noticed a vending machine nearby, so I asked to exchange a 10-euro bill for coins. However, I was first given only 5 euros in coins. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I might have handed over the wrong amount. After a short pause, I went back to the front desk to exchange another 10-euro bill for coins. At that point, the staff member asked me rather firmly—twice—how much I had given her earlier. Only then was the rest of the money returned to me. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. Still, I felt a bit uncomfortable because there was no explanation at first, and only after a few minutes when I came back was the situation questioned. It would be helpful if communication in such situations were a bit clearer to avoid any confusion in the future.

Thank you for taking care of every small detail, including cleaning and night service. A useful note for future guests: the electric plugs are the two-round-pin type, but the hotel provides excellent adapters. Most importantly, my wife really enjoyed the stay! Very nice decor, indoor swimming pool (can't think of any other hotel in Vienna that has that. Nice Italian restaurant in house (very casual). Great location. For the cost one of the better luxury hotel deals in town.

We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Vienna for 11 nights and had a very good experience overall. The rooms are comfortable and quite large, though some elements of the décor feel a bit dated. The same goes for the hotel interior—there are definite highlights, but parts of it could use a refresh. What truly stands out here is the staff. Service was excellent across the board, especially at D-Bar. The menu is inventive, the drink quality consistently high, and the bartenders are clearly very experienced. One bartender in particular, Tomas, deserves special praise—his drinks were truly outstanding, and his skill, attentiveness, and professionalism made our evenings there some of the best parts of our stay. At the pool, Kristof was extremely helpful and attentive, clearly committed to making guests feel looked after. There’s also a rooftop bar with great city views, which is a nice bonus. The location isn’t as central as the Park Hyatt—most destinations require at least a 10-minute walk—but the surroundings are still lovely, and we enjoyed experiencing Vienna on foot whenever we set out from the hotel. For value, the Ritz-Carlton worked well for us. With such a long stay, we wanted to budget thoughtfully, and it offered a better balance than the Park Hyatt or the Mandarin Oriental.

The Ritz-Carlton Vienna is a beautiful hotel with an excellent location and elegant, comfortable rooms. Cleanliness was very good, while the overall service and reception were average compared to the usual Ritz-Carlton standard. The main downside was the breakfast — there was no buffet, only à la carte service, which was unusual for me and not at the level expected from such a luxury hotel. Overall, it’s a nice property and enjoyable stay, but service and breakfast quality could be improved to better match the Ritz-Carlton brand experience.

The service is exemplary at the Ritz. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Madeline and Jasper the Front Desk Managers immediately resolved an issue that came up and went above and beyond to make it right. The steak house at the Ritz is phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience in the Gondola on the rooftop. Service and staff were incredible. Highly recommend, especially in the Christmas season. A big thank you to the Gentleman and Lady who served us on this lovely evening.

Hotel Daniel Vienna is a modern urban hotel located near a train station, offering free Wi-Fi and featuring a restaurant, bakery, and bar. The rooms are described as modern and urban with unique features like showers in the middle of the room. While the design may not be for everyone, guests appreciate the comfortable beds and convenient location with easy access to transportation. The hotel offers a decent breakfast but some guests have noted privacy challenges due to open shower designs without blinds.
The people were very helpful and kind. We arrived before check-in time and were able to leave our luggage while we looked around town. Very good location for us- close to trains and to the things we wanted to see. They also have a very good restaurant at the hotel.

Wonderful staff made all the difference. Stayed for a 4 day business trip. Staff were fantastic throughout, rooms really nice, breakfast good ( a little pricey) It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Big credit to the English guy and the young girl that really looked after us from the restaurant/ bar that used my name throughout and are a credit to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Bravo!

Fabulous modern hotel ideally situated 5 minutes walk from the main train station. Special shout out to the gentlemen on reception (apologies we didn't get his name) who calmly organised a taxi to get our passports t(which I had managed to leave in the safe) to the airport so we could catch our flight home on time. This was on the 22nd September so thank you so much. Loved the funky touches around reception and the restaurant. a really nice place to stay next to Belvedere Gardens.

I stayed at this hotel on September 29th. The room was completely different from the photos on the website. It was very small, with the toilet on one side of the room and the shower and sink on the other side. The hotel is also right beside a street, and the car noise can be heard clearly inside the room. Definitely its not 4 stars hotel.
Mahsa S — Google review
So many other options, I wouldn't return here. We upgraded to the panorama room and checked in late so in the morning we opened the blinds to see a huge cement wall and an AC unit. So annoying. Neighbor balconies had a lovely view of us! Bathroom in room was 3 separate spaces - toilet in closet, shower in closet, sink next to the bed.

Had a good stay at The Daniel. Vienna was cold and foggy but the Daniel was warm and inviting. We enjoyed the food and quirky comments around the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay, quirky hotel- the cafe was excellent and extremely friendly staff. I will say my parents stayed in the Airstream and had wished they had gotten a regular room. There were quirky electrical problems with the lights and people tried opening the door in the middle night. Beyond that wonderful visit.

The hotel is quirky, a converted office block, we booked a standard room and the size is akin to a cruise ship cabin. Interestingly the layout has the toilet away from the wash hand basin and the shower both of which are in the bedroom! Note: housekeeping is on request and not done as standard!

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location for exploring central Vienna. The service was excellent and all the staff were friendly, and the food/drinks we were able to try was excellent. A couple of small issues however prevented it from living up to its name and image, namely the maintenance of the rooms and the majority of the on site dining being closed for our visit.

My husband and I chose the Grand Hotel for our wedding reception, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. From the very first inquiry to the planning process and finally the big day, we were continually impressed by the hotel’s professionalism, organization, and support. A very special shout-out goes to Csilla, our event coordinator, whose support was truly invaluable. She was always communicative, quick to respond, and on top of every detail. Thanks to her, everything ran seamlessly, and we felt so well cared for throughout the entire journey. The hotel itself is stunning, and all of our guests were impressed by both the atmosphere and the level of service. The menu was carefully designed with our preferences in mind, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan options. Everyone raved about the food. We also had the pleasure of adding desserts from the hotel’s pastry chef, which were absolutely delicious. We are deeply grateful to every single person involved in our wedding day for their kindness, dedication, and flawless execution. The Grand Hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we will cherish the memories forever.

A Masterclass in Hospitality at the Grand Hotel Wien! Our recent stay from September 19th to 22nd was nothing less than perfection. As seasoned, some might even say connoisseur, travelers, we have high expectations, and the Grand Hotel Wien didn't just meet them—it soared right over them. We had booked a Grand Room, but to our delight, we were graciously upgraded to a full, magnificent suite. And what a suite it was! Beautifully decorated with impeccable taste. The space was astounding, complete with a very handy powder room for guests and a kitchenette that added a wonderful layer of convenience. The service throughout the hotel was exemplary, but the personal attention from the manager truly set this stay apart. As Platinum Elite members, we felt genuinely recognized and valued. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the flawless housekeeping to the anticipatory service from every staff member we encountered. For any discerning traveler who appreciates the finer details, this is your place in Vienna.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Wien. The hotel is located right in the very heart of Vienna, close to everything you’d want to see and do. We were warmly greeted with a thoughtful welcome of champagne and a lovely selection of chocolates and pastries upon arrival, which immediately set the tone for our stay. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful, and a special shoutout to Berkan, who not only suggested great places for us to visit but also informed us about Austria’s National Day. Thanks to him, we were able to witness the fascinating display by the Austrian army, which was a highlight of our trip. The hotel itself feels truly luxurious. From the grand staircase in the lobby to our elegantly designed room, everything exudes classic charm and comfort. The breakfast was superb, a wide variety of delicious options and excellent service. We also made use of the wellness area, which was a perfect way to unwind after a busy day exploring the city. The only minor downside was the air conditioning in the room, which wasn’t very easy to control. However, since my partner prefers not to have the AC on, it wasn’t really an issue for us. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel Wien to anyone visiting Vienna. Excellent service, great location, and wonderful value for money.

I can sincerely say that the Grand Hotel Wien is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive, it feels like a perfectly tuned operation, well managed, with every detail designed around guest comfort. The breakfast alone sets a standard that few hotels can match: abundant, varied, immaculately presented, and consistently fresh. It truly felt extraordinary each morning. The rooms are opulent and richly decorated, with velvet seating, gilded mirrors, and elegant touches that evoke the golden age of glamour. At the same time, all modern amenities are seamlessly integrated, providing everything you need for global connectivity without disturbing the classic atmosphere. The location is excellent, right on a lively boulevard with plenty of public transport, shops, and restaurants nearby, and only one block from the city center. Looking back, I regret not leaving this review after my stay last year. Only after a recent disappointing hotel experience elsewhere did I remember just how exceptional the Grand Hotel Wien truly was. It remains a hotel worthy of the highest praise.

I have been flying to Vienna regularly since 2022, and Grand Hotel Wien has become my go-to hotel. Over the years, I’ve stayed in a variety of their rooms, from the regular options to city views and even suites, and I’ve loved every single one. The rooms are always thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get anywhere. Breakfast is incredible, with a wide selection and à la carte options that elevate the experience. As a coffee addict, I especially look forward to their cappuccino every morning, it’s always a highlight. The hotel bar is also a gem, elegant, welcoming, and with a fantastic atmosphere. Staff throughout the hotel are consistently friendly and professional. On one occasion, due to a flight change, I was even offered a late checkout without hesitation, small gestures like this really make a difference. I’ve tried other 5-star hotels in Vienna, but Grand Hotel Wien suits me best. It’s not only about the luxury and comfort, it’s also the consistency. I know members of the staff who were there when I first stayed in 2022 and are still there today. To me, that’s an indirect but very telling sign of how wonderful the hotel is, not only for guests but also for the people who work there. All in all, Grand Hotel Wien delivers on every level, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Vienna.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this historic hotel. I was here with a large group for an event and the staff were consistently extremely attentive and ready to accommodate any request. The rooms are beautiful and the ballroom where we gathered for presentations had a great atmosphere. I especially wanted to thank the staff who helped us with breakfast every morning. They went above and beyond (even remembering which people wanted to practice their German) and they made the experience special. Thanks to the whole Grand Hotel Wien team.

The Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof in Vienna offers upscale accommodation with a restaurant, piano bar, and spa. The hotel's gym features modern equipment, a Finnish sauna, and a tranquil chill-out room for relaxation. Bela Bela Restaurant serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes while Belas Wohnzimmer bar is a revamped version of the historic Cafe Herrenhof. Once a popular cafe in the early 20th century, this luxury hotel now provides opulent amenities and city views.
We have recently returned from our short holiday to Vienna. My husband and I decided that the Steinberger Hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect as it is only a fifteen minute walk to anywhere including the Opera House from where you can catch a hop on hop off bus (reception are very happy to help you organise your tickets if you are not too tech savvy) which is a rather lovely way to see Vienna. On the way to the Opera House you pass the riding school stables and the Sisi Museum. The hotel is very welcoming and the reception staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. A big shout out and many thanks to Melanie who helped us with suggestions for restaurants and booking the venues. Her suggestions were excellent. On our last night we ate in the hotel restaurant as it had just opened after having been closed for a while. The food was delicious. The bar also serves food which is lovely as well - the club sandwich is both tasty and enormous! A shout out to the two bar men who were friendly and do a sterling job - Yannick and Duncan. Our room was delightful. It was roomy and tastefully decorated in muted colours leading to a very restful experience. All in all we would rate our experience as 5 stars.
Sue T — Google review
The hotel has an excellent location and a very nice overall atmosphere. However, I believe there is room for improvement in certain areas. The rooms feel quite old and would benefit from refurbishment, as the furniture and facilities show signs of being overused. Room service could also be enhanced to better match the standards of a luxury property. The lobby, while welcoming, is rather small compared to what one might expect, and the vintage-style furniture could use some refreshing. The elevators would benefit from maintenance, and the walls are thin, which sometimes makes it easy to hear sounds from other rooms. With some updates and improvements, this hotel has the potential to be truly outstanding, especially given its prime location.

Love this stunning hotel bar! A perfect spot right in the city centre for meeting business partners – the ambience strikes exactly the right balance and the service is consistently excellent. Last time were looked after by Jeff (a recent addition to the team?), who made the experience even more enjoyable.

Excellent location, two blocks from the Hofburg, 200m away from Café Central and just around the block from a U-bahn station. Fancy even though its an old building. Very nice comfortable rooms, not too spacious. Our only complaint was that the bed mattress was somehow broken on ome side amd i kept sliding out of bed at night. Not too noisy even though it is in the middle of the tourist area.

This hotel has a real focus on service and making sure their guests are happy! We had an issue with the heating in our room, and a young lady by the name of Charanjit came out of the back office to help us when a manager was not around. She handled it with so much care and heart! She didn’t just send a technician, because when it wasn’t fully resolved, she personally offered us better room options and made sure we were comfortable. The way she carried herself and the way she treated us was as if she was taking care of her own family, not just guests. Moreover, as we went back and forth she stayed kind, warm, and patient the whole time. You rarely see that kind of genuine hospitality. She truly made a difference in our stay. Thank you Charanjit! It’s people like her that stand out and you hope become managers! A great example and leader for sure!

Holiday Inn Vienna City, an IHG Hotel, is a charming and relaxed accommodation option in Vienna. The hotel boasts warmly decorated rooms and features an airy restaurant, courtyard, and bar. Conveniently located within walking distance of the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Art History and the Kettenbruckengasse U-Bahn tube station, this family-managed hotel offers a shared lounge and lending library for guests to enjoy.
It ‘s the best place to stay for family with three members. Hotel staffs were very friendly and kind. Especially Elisabeth at the reception desk was the best hotel staff who I have ever met during this trip. My family members could enjoy great breakfast with discounted price after I joined IHG free membership. My family members were so satisfied with all the services during my stay, I would like to highly recommend this hotel to others. And there are good some restaurants nearby.

A wonderful hotel and a wonderful experience. The receptionists genuinely enjoy their jobs which is refreshing to see. They were super helpful, super friendly and welcoming and exactly what you want your first impression of a new city to be. The free cake (and Manner wafers upon checkout-out) were also so thoughtful. The room was clean and well-sized. Would definitely stay here again.

Came here for few nights, had an amazing time. During my stay I celebrated my birthday and the staff delivered a cake with a candle in it. Nice touch. Rooms are okay, you have a cleaner that comes every day to clean it for you, great location not far from the bus/tram/metro. I will definitely recommend that place

Great location, 22 minutes walk to Stephansplatz and 14 minutes to Subway. Very friendly staff and good breakfast, bar is open from 1600 to 2300 hours. Odd thing about the room, the toilet was turned the other way around. The air-conditioning did not function as expected. Genn in reception was extremely helpful, maps, directions to subway, to get to visit tourist locations, saved us a lot of time as we there for only 2 nights.

The property is located in the main district of the city , conveniently accessible everywhere. Rooms are spacious , comfortable and the breakfast spread was decent enough. Receptionist team were very friendly, they did all that we needed of , especially Scarleth and Iris. I would definitely give a 10 out of 10 overall.

I gave this property five stars, but I hope everyone understands that it's five stars for a Holiday Inn or rather a hotel in this category. Excellent, friendly service including early check-in and late check-out for a one night stay. Quiet room, good shower and exemplary air conditioning: silent and with functional temperature and fan speed adjustments. Breakfast also very good, including even complimentary sparkling wine! Good value for money. Would come again - actually did, was my second visit.

Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Vienna is a prestigious establishment located in the heart of Vienna's Old Town. With over 130 years of history, this grand hotel offers a sophisticated experience with its art deco-style Bristol Bar and elegant antique furnishings. Situated across from the Vienna State Opera, it provides easy access to major city attractions such as St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Karntner Strasse Shopping Boulevard. A very luxurious place for holiday vacations. It is located right in front of the main shopping street and across the street from the opera house. The rooms are very nice, wide and beautiful. This is one of the must-stay place in Vienna. The staffs provide excellent services.

I recently stayed at Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Vienna, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a hotel of this reputation. Upon arrival, I first noticed that the room was not clean. Dust was found in various places, and it felt like the housekeeping staff had overlooked the basics of cleanliness. Given the hotel’s luxury status, this wasn't very pleasant. Additionally, I was disturbed by the noise coming from the next room for two nights in a row. Loud voices, screaming, and banging on doors continued late into the night, significantly disrupting my sleep and overall comfort during my stay. I expected a much higher standard of service and peace for a hotel that markets itself as a luxury destination. Unfortunately, these issues left me dissatisfied and reluctant to recommend this hotel to others. Overall, my experience at Hotel Bristol did not meet its promises. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously to improve future guests' experiences.

Stayed here last week for 3 nights. Overall it is was a pleasant and luxurious stay. Great location, right next to the opera, main high street, and the metro and tram stations. The room was lovely, clean and spacious, the furniture was of good quality. We were upgraded to a bigger room as I am an Ambassador Elite member but not a suite. The bed was very comfy, but it were 2 double beds put together. Housekeeping was thorough and friendly, I really liked how everyday they left chocolate with a leaflet about famous Viennese people and history. We chose the breakfast amenity for the welcome gift, it was decent with a small selection but could be better. The croissants were never fresh. Front desk staff were friendly and brought us a complimentary bottle of champagne as I was celebrating my birthday. Concierge staff however weren’t as friendly, especially one tall white man who never greeted us, smiled at us, or asked us if we needed any help with luggage when we checked in and out. Very bizarre and unacceptable from a 5 star hotel at this price point!

Review of the gym: wonderful view from the gym, great new TechnoGym equipment. The space is a bit small and definitely nothing for a thorough workout as the free weights are not heavy enough. Also missing a pull up bar which would be easy to install. Great for a cardio session on the treadmills, bike, rower or the cross trainer while enjoying the view of the opera.

PROS: - Amazing recreation staff, they are so supportive and friendly. - Located in the heart of Vienna city center, close to opera house, shops and restaurants. close to all attractions and tourist places. - Close to metro station - Concierge is available. - Well decorated room, and perfectly organized. - Loved the classic details in my room with lovely view to the main street I totally recommend this hotel to all and sure I will be back whenever I’m in Vienna.

This was my wife and I's first time staying here and first trip to Vienna. Upon arrival we were greeted with a valet that took our bags right up to our room. All of the staff were very friendly and professional! The staff continued to remember our names for simple interactions as we walked through the hotel over the course of our 3-day stay. It was very cool. The rooms are elegant and comfy. The breakfast is amazing. Everything is very clean and professional. The concierge even got us a reservation in a very exclusive restaurant! We felt like we were royalty! When we go back to Vienna, I know where we will be staying!

The hotel is located at a great location. The service is great. The staff are professional and nice. The rooms are full of charm, are large and look beautiful. The only maybe downside is that the showers are kind of old, and it would take like half a minute for the water to warm up in the morning. But other than that, we were pretty happy.
Alireza F — Google review
Well, I’m not happy - hotel is nice & v historical but it’s not worth the money for sure in my opinion 1. WiFi is not stable at all. Not possible to have calls whenever u want it or watch videos and platforms like LinkedIn barely work either 2. No air - windows not possible to open and air conditioner is not working properly so it’s too hot in the room and hard to sleep (we visited in winter) 3. Emotional experience for me- Mirror in bathroom is with heating and I didn’t know that - I put my skincare and makeup there and it got so hot that everything went bad - mirror is boiling and cleaning service did good job cleaning surface but moved skincare beautifully to the mirror so it’s all bad now, not just most of it when I put it - cleaning overall is great tho, no comments here ! It’s expensive skincare and hard to get! 4. Other: Gym is tiny, breakfast has queues often and the buffet does not have many options

Cafe
Café Sacher Wien is a quintessential Austrian café located in the heart of Vienna, offering a typical Viennese coffee-house atmosphere and the opportunity to indulge in an Original Sacher-Torte. The café boasts a rich history, situated near Vienna's opulent opera house and adorned with elegant décor. Its signature dessert, the Sacher Torte, is a decadent dark-chocolate cake with a layer of tangy apricot jam, served with whipped cream.
Visiting Café Sacher in Munich was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the elegant, classic atmosphere—it feels truly special. I had their famous Sacher-Torte, and it was absolutely divine: rich, perfectly moist chocolate cake with a smooth layer of apricot jam. The coffee complemented it beautifully, and every detail, from the presentation to the service, felt top-notch. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. This isn’t just a café; it’s a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates fine desserts, quality coffee, and a touch of luxury. I can’t wait to return!
Webman T — Google review
This café is for you if you enjoy a condescending and inattentive service, albeit in a nice historical setting. There is often a long queue outside, however when we were sat upstairs, the floor was half-empty. Perhaps this is to create a sense of exclusivity or the service is simply lacking efficiency (as highlighted in other reviews). We came here for a meal and the cake. The server made it his mission to make this experience as awkward as possible. To start, he came across as quite rude and condescending. He proceeded to knock over one of our glasses, without apologising or cleaning up the contents on the table. The attention to detail was poor, as he forgot to bring the spoons for the soup, and the butter for the breads (we never got the butter). This is despite multiple reminders. Apart from that, the main attraction - Sachertorte - was nothing more than an average chocolate cake. We have had it plenty of times before in Salzburg and simply wanted to try it in the original location. Overall, I am aware that this review won’t stop tourists from visiting the café, but it would be a shame if their experience is tarnished by the same level of service we received. Hopefully they are able to make some much needed improvements to match the more pleasant experience we received in Sacher Salzburg Café, which would be fitting of this historical establishment.

Well I enjoyed it. I just went for the experience and a very nice afternoon hot chocolate and the famous Sacher Torte, which was everything I expected. There was a bit of a queue on a cold afternoon but hey, it's in all the guidebooks so it's going to be busy. Service was pleasant, quick and polite. To those who have given poor reviews I would say get over yourselves! The place is famous and will serve what has done it well for many years, so enjoy it for what it is.
Nick P — Google review
The place was stunning, but the waiter lady not so much. I mean, I don’t know what she expected us to order, but she looked at us like “omg just this?” Just because we didn’t all get something to drink and eat each of us. Not nice at all. Stop looking at people like they’re weird just because they have different opinions or make different choices! Anyway the food was okay but I’m not a fan of Sachertorte.
Melania D — Google review
Beautiful and classic atmosphere, with that traditional Viennese charm. The Sacher Torte is truly delicious and worth its reputation. However, my experience was affected by the attitude of one of the waiters. He slightly raised his voice and acted with a certain arrogance, as if placing himself above the guests, even while remaining outwardly calm. This small detail disturbed my peace during the visit and ended up ruining what could have been an excellent experience. In short: great dessert, pleasant setting, but the arrogance of the staff, especially this particular waiter, made the visit less enjoyable than expected.

We didn't stay. We went early evening after a bus tour, minimal queue, though the place was busy upstairs and down. The young lady who seated us was smiley and friendly. We had literally sat for 2 minutes when a male server asked if we were ready to order and before we had a chance he just said, 'no, not ready' and strode off. We were hoping to stay for dinner, looked at the menu for main meal ... but no vegetarian 😕 We asked the same server if there was a vegetarian menu. We were abruptly told, 'the menu you have is it.' And again he strode off, like we were an inconvenience or stupid for asking. We sat for another 5-10 minutes being ignored, wanting to ask if at least an omelette would be OK at this time of day. No friendly face came our way. It was then we left, we pointed out the server, to another and asked their name. The name of the male server was Michael. This person should not work in a customer service environment. He needs reminding that the customers who come pay his wages. He is not above any person who walks through those doors. Good customer service in a place of high reputation is key. We found a lovely Austrian Cafe not far away, with vegetarian options and live music, where the servers all smiled and nothing was too much trouble.

I visited with my baby. There was a space for the stroller, and they even had the same Stokke high chair we use at home, so my baby seemed really comfortable. He actually fell asleep in the chair. The café had such a lovely vibe, and the apple strudel was much better than the ones I’ve tried elsewhere. What really made the visit special, though, was the server with curly blonde hair. She had the warmest smile, and her positive energy just brightened the café. I left a little extra tip and got a small gift in return. which was such a lovely surprise. She truly matched the café! beautiful, sweet, and kind.

A beautiful, classy, ornate setting to try the famous sacher torte. The cake itself is nice but nothing special. However, as an experience it is a great thing to do as a tourist. We had lovely waitress too who was so friendly and nice.

Belvedere Palace is a stunning example of Baroque architecture located in Vienna's Landstrasse district. It consists of two grand palaces separated by a beautiful French-style garden. Originally built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy in the 18th century, it now houses an impressive art collection spanning from the Middle Ages to contemporary works, including a notable collection of Klimt paintings.
Wow! Loved this extraordinary attraction and gardens. The architecture is amazing. My son and I really enjoyed the walk through and landscapes. The stone carvings / statues are beautifully placed. We did not visit inside the attraction as we will go another day.

Went to see Gustav Klimt on exhibition and it was a wonderful experience to see his work alongside Monet, Van Gogh and Egon Schiele. The palace is easy to navigate and the exhibition was over 3 floors. I visited late 5pm before closing and it was not crowded. I got to see all the works up close and truly appreciate the details. Staff are very vigilant and protect the work from people standing too close, its also important to check sinage as its not permitted to take photos of all the work. I had a wonderful time exploring the grounds before sunset. Found bamboo in the botanical gardens. It was not so lush as we are at the end of autumn, but it is a marvellous palace nevertheless. There is a cafe with very attentive and kind staff, great coffee. We also were very lucky the xmas markets were on at the time. Some beautiful stalls with great artisanal items!

It was nice to visit this palace. In winter time it's not so lovely because of the gardens. There was a little Christmas Bazar where you can enjoy some wine and sweets. There was huge donuts and some traditional foods.

Belvedere Palace was built between 1714 and 1723 as the summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. After his death,it was acquired by Maria Theresa and transformed into one of the world's first public museums. It has since been used for various purposes, including as a residence for the heir to the throne and most famously,as the location where the Austrian State Treaty was signed in 1955, officially declaring Austria's freedom. Additionally,it houses a significant collection of art, including the world's largest collection of works by Gustav Klimt, with his famous paintings "The Kiss",Monet and Vincent van Gogh. It was a very enjoyable visit that traveled me in time!!

The Belvedere is a wonderful choice for a stroll and for experiencing beauty. The park is very pleasant and inspires a positive outlook, and the museum itself is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. You can see wonderful paintings not only by Klimt but also by other artists, as well as sculptures. There are absolutely unique works of art, portraits, and still lifes that are every bit as good as the famous canvases. The Klimt hall is wonderful; I really enjoyed his landscapes! A wonderful place!
Aida B — Google review
Amazing! The paintings and organisation of the museum is impressive, the collection of Gustav klimit is iconic. If you’re there to discover the palace as a historical place i don’t recommend since there is no rooms displayed. If you’re an art fanatic i recommend 3 hours.

Visiting Belvedere Palace in Vienna is a feast for the eyes, particularly if you appreciate grand architecture and historic structures. The palace itself is stunning, with intricate interiors and elegant layouts that make wandering through its halls a visual delight. Even with parts of the building under restoration, the charm and grandeur of the palace remain impressive. The exhibition, however, is less remarkable. While it has its moments, it doesn’t quite match the awe-inspiring atmosphere created by the palace and its architecture. Art lovers may enjoy it, but for those primarily seeking a “wow” factor, it may feel underwhelming. A practical note: the queues can be long, especially on weekends. Even if you buy tickets online, you may have to wait for a later slot; when we arrived, our online tickets only allowed entry three hours later. Planning ahead and booking well in advance is highly recommended. The gardens are fantastic and free to explore. Locals often jog, run, or just relax there, and it's lovely to see artists drawing or people chilling. Overall, the views and grounds make it worth avisit! Overall, Belvedere Palace is worth visiting for its architecture and historical appeal, but don’t set your expectations too high for the exhibitions.
Kelvin T — Google review
I visited the Belvedere to experience the art of Gustav Klimt and to take in the stunning architecture and perfectly maintained gardens. The museum spans three floors, each offering something remarkable, from the magnificent Marble Hall, where the Austrian State Treaty was signed, to galleries filled with masterpieces from different eras. The highlight, of course, is Klimt’s The Kiss and Judith, along with several of his early works that show his artistic evolution. The atmosphere is both grand and intimate, you feel the history, the art, and the spirit of Vienna all in one place. Book your tickets in advance and stick to your time slot, as it can get busy. Give yourself time to explore the grounds, they’re as inspiring as the collection inside. A must-visit in Vienna. Highly recommended.

Restaurant
Café Central, located in the Palais Ferstel complex, is a renowned Viennese venue with a rich historical legacy. Frequented by influential figures such as Freud and Trotsky, this café was a hub for literary and political discussions. Since its establishment in 1876, it has retained its late Romantic Historicism style despite post-WW2 renovations.
We had breakfast at Café Central, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The historic ambiance and elegant architecture make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time — it’s truly one of Vienna’s most beautiful cafés. The breakfast was outstanding — fresh pastries, perfectly brewed coffee, and a variety of delicious options beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, despite how busy the café gets. It’s easy to see why Café Central is such a Viennese institution — a perfect mix of charm, history, and great food. Definitely worth the wait and a must-do when in Vienna!
Asif A — Google review
Café Central is one of Vienna’s most iconic coffee houses, located inside the grand Palais Ferstel on Herrengasse. Stepping inside feels like entering another era—ornate columns, vaulted ceilings, and marble interiors capture the charm of 19th-century Vienna. This café wasn’t just about coffee; it was once the meeting place for some of Europe’s greatest minds. Regulars included Sigmund Freud, Leon Trotsky, Stefan Zweig, and even Adolf Loos. You can almost feel that intellectual energy still lingering in the air. It is open from Monday–Saturday from 08:00 – 21:00 and Sunday/public holidays from 10:00 – 21:00. The nearest metro station is the U-Bahn “Herrengasse” (U3) and it’s a short walk from major sights in the first district. Reservations are accepted online for up to 6 people (via their website). Larger groups need to call in. Walk-ins are possible but during busy times expect a wait. Service is professional but can be slow, especially during peak hours. Some standout dishes: the famous Apfelstrudel, Kaiser-Schmarrn, Backhendl mit Erdäpfel-Gurkensalat and classic Viennese coffee like a Wiener Melange. Prices are a bit steep compared to local cafés. Still, the experience is absolutely worth it for the atmosphere and history.
TheMindisCurious — Google review
Beautiful, beautiful cafe! But do yourself a favor and set a reservation. The line out the door, waiting for tables, was wild—with a reservation, we walked right on by! We had the einspänner, melange, apple strudel, and the warm chocolate cake. The cake was a must get! My apple strudel came out a bit cold. Wasn’t my favorite. I did see someone get the kaiserschmarrn and if I could do it over, I would 1000% get that!! Our server was lovely and attentive. It was a bit expensive, definitely cheaper cafe’s all over Vienna. But… this is obviously for tourists. So you should know what you are walking into!
Olivia H — Google review
Beautiful interior, very cozy place to sit down and relax over a nice cup of coffee and dessert. The Espresso served with whipped cream was excellent and very smooth. The apple strudel was one of the best I've eaten thus far. A thin crispy layer of pastry with plenty of apples, a bit of sourness combined with the sweetness of the cream, just melts in your mouth. The service was also excellent - staff very friendly and cheerful. I arrived at roughly 10AM, and only waited for roughly five minutes before being seated, but the queue might be longer closer to noon. Definitely worth the wait if not in a rush.
Eric H — Google review
I visited because it's said to be one of Vienna's top three Sachertorte. There was a long line in front of the store, but I got it to go and went right away. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and kindness, which made me feel very welcome. I had it with coffee, and while it was a bit too sweet for my taste, it was perfect for a day like today when I'm tired and need a sugar boost.
MinKyung L — Google review
I went for breakfast, and there was already a long queue outside — definitely book ahead if you don’t want to wait in the cold. The desserts are the highlight for sure: beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The rest of the food was decent, but quite simple for the price, and you’re mostly paying for the experience rather than an exceptional meal. That said, the architecture is stunning. The high ceilings, arches, and overall interior make you feel like you’re sitting inside a historical postcard. Worth visiting at least once for the atmosphere and pastries, just go in knowing it’s more about the setting than the food.
Bianca L — Google review
Iconic venue in Central Vienna. Beautiful building inside and out. A short wait to get in (about 10 mins), but worth it. We ordered coffee, the amazing strudel with vanilla sauce and a slice of cream Schnitten. The waiter was really funny, professional and helpful. The atmosphere is fantastic, and has the 1800s feel to it. All the staff wear period clothing. Lovely experience. We visited around 11am on Thursday. The place looks amazing at night too.
Alex P — Google review
Overall experience was nice. The building and interior is very beautiful for sure and has its historic charm. Apple strudel we had was very beautiful and tasty. However we didn’t have a reservation and ended up in a line for more than 30min (beginning of November, weekday afternoon). After having seats, the atmosphere was a bit fussy and rushed due to the high demand and I wanted to quickly eat and leave. I was very curious about their apple strudel because I have heard they had the best one in Vienna. And it was good, but it’s overestimated as most cafes in the city have equally good strudels. Overall, I’m not sure if it’s worth standing in the long line and sitting in a busy atmosphere.

The Hofburg Imperial Palace, located in the heart of Vienna, is a grand complex that served as the residence and seat of power for the Habsburgs. This historic site, dating back to the 13th century, stands as a testament to the imperial history of the Danube monarchy. Today, it houses various institutions including the Austrian Federal President's office, museums such as the Sisi Museum and Court Silver Collection, and serves as an international conference center.
Impressive imperial palace complex in the heart of Vienna. Rich history, grand architecture, and well-curated museums make it a must-visit. Allow enough time to explore the Sisi Museum and the Imperial Apartments.

This is an enormous Palace complex. It houses several museums including the Sisi and Albertina, also the Spanish riding school arena and a church. You need to do some homework if you are interested in some of the above. Otherwise strolling around and taking in all the different centuries of architecture is very pleasing.

Hofburg Palace, Vienna In the centre of Vienna stands this majestic palace complex which houses two museums including the famous Sisi museum dedicated to Empress Elisabeth. Built in the 13th century it was the winter residence as well as the seat of the government of the imperial family. The architecture is great and a big tourist attraction. In the front are some ruins and the area is full of tourists all through the day. Horse carts with well attired charioteers are there for the tourists to enjoy royal carriages. Being in the historic old town the place is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Beautiful complex! The gardens are open to the public and certain buildings allow visitors! We only visited the State Hall which was gorgeous and gave a brief, modern history of Austria!

The Austrians certainly know how to do a building and the Hapsburgs really got it right. Just walking around the grounds can still the visitor to quite awe. There are a number of places with the area to visit and requires a ticket but it’s free to walk through the gardens and around the Palace buildings.

Restaurant
Figlmüller Bäckerstraße is a historic restaurant that has been serving classic Viennese cuisine for over a century. It is renowned as the birthplace of the schnitzel, with its specialty being a large pork schnitzel covered in crispy breadcrumbs and served with lemon, potato salad, and a side salad. The restaurant's traditional ambiance includes wood paneling, exposed bricks, and vintage black and white attired wait staff known for exceptional service.
My husband booked this restaurant as soon as we booked the flight to Vienna. I saw many people have been waiting outside, so I’d recommend to book it before. The schnitzel was amazing! The size was so big. They’re both great with pork and veal. But if you’d like to try the original one, I’d recommend the pork schnitzel. The service was spectacular. I don’t remember the name of the gentleman who serviced us, but he’s been amazing. So kind and very service-minded, also very helpful for choosing the wine. We love this place. The food, of course. But the service really made it better.
Chompoonuth W — Google review
I’m giving this 3 out of 5. The food was great, don’t get me wrong. But a 45 minute wait, the food was on our table 5 minutes after ordering. It felt like an anti climax. To find out the main is quite expensive and literally comes with nothing else on the plate. Sides are all extra. Had the fries, which were mostly batter and very little potato. The salad wasn’t bad though. With a good mix of veg. There are better restaurants to visit where you’ll have a better atmosphere and not have to queue for a ridiculous amount of time. My bill came to about €74. Two mains, two beers and two sides.

Tonight, I ordered marinated fried chicken and fried pork chops! The tomato salad was delicious! The drinks were also good, but unfortunately, the food was too coated with flour and the meat was fried too thinly. The ingredients were fresh, and the atmosphere and the waiters were very friendly!
SOFIA C — Google review
Great experience! We had the schnitzel, spinach dumplings, potato salad, and the kaiserschmarrn. We loved everything! The schnitzel is MASSIVE. And if I went again, I maybe wouldn’t order the spinach dumplings?? Though they were absolutely tasty! Kaiserschmarrn is a must though, so save room. I would recommend a reservation though, even on a week night!
Olivia H — Google review
Overrated and overpriced. The food is nothing special — I’ve had better chicken schnitzels in Vienna for half the price. Actually they don’t have chicken schnitzel. I asked twice if the cordon blue was similar to the schnitzel but waiter insisted its like nugget so we ordered both beef and cordon blue. Beef schnitzel (€27) was disappointing, chicken cordon bleu (€21.5) tasted like a regular café meal. Maybe original pork schnitzel is good. Also they don’t give you water for free :) The potato salad was tasty but again overhyped. The younger staff were polite, but the older waiters were dismissive and condescending. If you still want to come, make a reservation at least a week in advance and please don’t waste your time waiting in line. I wish I hadn’t gone; I wish we weren’t such slaves to pop culture. I won’t be going back. It was not worth it.
Ecren H — Google review
Food was pretty okay, wouldn't shout much about the Schnitzel but the only outstanding thing, was the size. It was really huge and could feed two. I loved the potato salad and the fries, they were amazing. Overall I don't feel welcomed, regardless of race. We didn't tip during billing because of how we didn't enjoy the service. It would have been perfect if the service was good, because we will definitely top it up with a tip and that wouldn't end up with our receipt being thrown on the table.
Cindy W — Google review
The restaurant was packed so advanced reservations is highly recommended. Upon entering, you feel a sense of warmth and welcome. We were led to our seats on the second floor. Seats were tight but everyone was there for the same reason: The figmuller schnitzel. This plus the potato salad, lingonberry jam and a radler (would skip because it’s bottled). The schnitzel was crispy at the top and juicy in the middle. The jam was the closer. It was the best jam I had it was addicting. The potato salad was also next level. It was an explosion of flavors that I never had before.
Tiffany C — Google review
The place is okay, not fancy or anything, but not bad either. The food is pretty good and the portions are big, so you won’t leave hungry. The main dish everyone talks about is tasty, but honestly, the other stuff is just normal, nothing too special. The staff is nice and tries to help, so that’s good, but sometimes it feels like you pay a lot for what you get. Like, a bottle of water or bread costs way more than I expected. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed, so it’s fine for hanging out or having a casual meal. Nothing really bad, nothing really amazing either. It’s just… okay. If you want to try it, it’s fine, but don’t expect anything super fancy or mind-blowing. Overall, it’s just a normal place with good food and nice people, even if some things are a bit pricey.

Austrian restaurant
Schnitzel Wirt is a long-standing Austrian restaurant in Vienna, known for its cozy atmosphere and wide variety of schnitzel dishes. For over 35 years, this quintessentially Austrian joint has been serving traditional wiener schnitzel, with around 15 different variations to choose from. The restaurant's signature dish, the veal wiener schnitzel, comes in various creative forms such as the schnitzel a la Mexico, stuffed with paprika, mushrooms and ham.
The restaurant had a long line, but the staff were incredibly organized in seating guests, so even if you see a queue, it's definitely worth waiting! The staff could communicate in English and were all very friendly and welcoming. We were seated at a large round table at the very back of the indoor area, where we shared the table with a lovely Swiss couple—wishing them a pleasant meal and a safe journey. The restaurant also had clean, bright restrooms available for use. The food was absolutely delicious. My companion said it was the most unforgettable traditional dish she’s ever had, and I was genuinely impressed by the salad—the seasoning and texture of the potatoes were flawless. The space was clean, the décor charmingly classical, and overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

This place was great. Classic atmosphere. It feels like you’re traveling into the past with how everything looks. Servers are DIRECT and very very busy. It’s a popular spot. So have patience and don’t get offended. I wanted schnitzel, but I also didn’t want it to be too dry for me, so I had the bolognese version. It was very very tasty. I honestly wished that I had their schnitzel throughout our trip in Austria as some were just a bit too dry compared to this place. Also, Ed Sheeran. This was recommended to us by our server from lolo and Lola named daisy. She’s awesome.
Hermes A — Google review
Food was delicious and served in extremely large portions. Most of the patrons from what I saw couldn't finish their two slices of schnitzel. The price for that big a portion is definitely worth it. The potato salad and cucumber slices were refreshing and was a life saver when tackling those large pieces of meat. 😆 Unfortunately, because of the constant deep frying, the room is filled with oil smell, which might be off putting for some people. Also, there aren't too many seats, so might have to share a table with someone else - just a heads up in case that's an issue.
Eric H — Google review
It’s about the service and the experience. The waiter has character and lends to the ambiance. Be late and be prepared for a line outside the place. The food is great Viennese, the value is great. But you never know when you gonna bump into a celebrity popping in. Give it a visit. It’s worth the wait.
Malcolm J — Google review
We didn’t have a reservation and had to wait in line at the entrance. They let people in order. The place is quite spacious, with large tables. A very energetic gentleman did the presentations; they were fast, efficient, and friendly. Compared to other places, the price-performance ratio was much better, and it was close to a must-see street. I recommend it. It’s not a place to sit for too long, because there are people waiting outside.
Gonca Y — Google review
Went here searching for the traditional veal schnitzel, turns out it's not available here. Ate the turkey schnitzel, with the thin breading that is not the crispy typed one as i think it contains egg, also thick turkey with flavors that indulged in beautifully! Salad was just okay, it's part of the package, but if you want to choose another type of salad, you can order separately. There will be a long queue, so it's somewhat better for late lunch or early dinner (fewer people in the line)
Aulia A — Google review
Everything’s perfect about the restaurant: the food, the service, the ambiance. I tried my first schnitzel here and even though I don’t like meat in general, it was good with cabbage salad and my favorite cranberry souce. The ambiance was very cozy and warm and joyful and lively. It brought me very comfortable feelings. Would love to come back again. Prices are reasonable, food portions are huge. We didn’t have to stand in line but I guess we were lucky.

Not coming here again.. EVER ! You can get a MUCH better dining experience, taste AND service at a Wusterlstand anywhere in Vienna.. Better to eat outside if you’re visiting in summer because the inside doesn’t have air conditioning and can get stuffy.. You will have to wait for a bit, get your name in the waitlist as it is mos def tourist and insta hotspot… Ordered the no. 1 item on the menu i.e. the Schnitzel… underwhelming… The schnitzel came quickly but the server was something else… asked for cutlery that came by the time the schnitzel was cold… The schnitzel was flavorless and didn’t taste as much as the hype around this place was… completely underwhelming.. Asked for ketchup so many times that the people sitting behind me took pity and gave us theirs… Asked for soft drinks, which came but again asked the server to open them… after multiple tries and requests, used the edge of the table to pop them open myself… NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL AND NEVER COMING BACK.. Maybe this IS how it’s supposed to be …

Zum Leupold is a charming and atmospheric restaurant in Vienna. The staff, despite being busy, are friendly and make an effort to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The menu offers authentic and delicious Austrian dishes such as Tafelspitz, Wiener Schnitzel, Gemusegrosti, rump steak with fried onions and potatoes, Gazpacho, Goulash, and Kasespatzle.
Visited on the last day before going to the airport and ended my trip in Vienna in style as this traditional restaurant delivers great simple food. We tried schnitzel and calf liver and both were amazing. I found really good restaurants in Vienna if one looks at my reviews and this is one of them.

We went here due to our Hotel Staff recommendation. We ordered: Marrow soup - came with toasts. I love eating Bone Marrow but it’s a lot I couldn’t eat it all. I guess that’s a good thing because they didn’t skimp. Baked pork schnitzel- is just ok. But the potatoes and cucumber that came with it complemented the meat. Service is good, especially our server Dayon. So friendly, courteous and helpful.

This restaurant is in a perfect location! There is an inner part but also a garden. When the weather is nice it's really a pleasure to sit outside. The restaurant has a long tradition and I really like the green color they keep, the color of hunters. When it comes to food, all dishes here are very tasty, but for the money you pay, you expect a large portion. One large portion of veal schnitzel is €30, but I expected to get something else on the plate besides a slice of lemon, even though it comes with potato salad. It was enough for me, but for a 100 kg person it is very little. My husband also suggested to the waiter to increase the portions a bit, at least for one more piece of beef or pork. By the way, the waiters are very young and friendly, several of them are just learning their craft.

One of the oldest and most popular restaurants in Vienna did not impress us. Yes, I was happy that they showed the match I wanted to watch, but I did not like the other part of the service. My beer glass was literally thrown to me, they collected our bread rolls from other tables and in the end it turned out that there were not enough. The place is quite noisy. Otherwise, the goulash and the kaiserschmarrn were delicious.

Food was great! I ordered a small Beef goulash which was just enough for me. It was juicy and tender! The service left something to be desired, though. I asked for a dark beer and he tried to talk me into a bottle. I asked him what size the bottle was and he said small, but when I asked for the mL it was clearly a larger bottle. I then I asked if he had any small bottles of dark beer and he said he’ll bring me the darkest he has. It was VERY light and definitely not something I would’ve ordered. Sadly, he didn’t come to check on me once and I had to flag someone down to ask for the check. I might come back again for the food, but I know that next time not to expect the best service.

Cool walk by the Danube canal, with various bars along the way, as well as beautiful and interesting paintings everywhere. I assume that during the summer it is even more busy, but the autumn walk was calm and beautiful. Some of the bars were still open and had tables with heaters outside.

Not much view....compare to the riverside or promenade of Budapest or Prague. The view is not as nice as another two. But it is good for a walk, cycling or walk your dog. Since most of the parks do not allow dogs, here your dog can walk freely on grass along the river. There are some briges connecting two sides. So it is quite a long walk.

The Donaukanal (Danube Canal) is a former arm of the river Danube, now regulated as a water channel since 1875, within the city of Vienna. It is 17,3km/10,7mi) long and, unlike the Danube itself, it touches Vienna's city center, where the Wien River (Wienfluss) flows into it. The line up of restaurants, bars and chill-out zones without compulsion to consume bring holiday feeling and colorful murals make it Vienna’s “graffiti strand”!
Walter S — Google review
That's amazing! Any tourist should try it! If you like 'water' things such as cruise or small tours...you should really try this
Bircan E — Google review
This is misleading by Google maps, this is just a bicycle lane and nothing else along the riverside. If you are looking for bars, pubs and restaurants, please search for the specific name of the restaurant for correct location
Avinash K — Google review
Hipster cool place. Good to take a walk or stroll. Also note that the point in google maps is not the location of where the bars or most graffiti is. You would be better going to schewedenplatz u-bahn station.

from the day I came to live in wien, donau is my favorite place, and i drive quite a lot because it is a place full of life and has a lot of movement, especially during the summer it really gives it the feeling of a beautiful coast there around the bridge there are many young people who have fun and the restaurants there are very good one of my favorites is the restaurant (blumenwise) their food is 100 ****** I adore visits worth it

Café Engländer is a classic Viennese cafe known for serving upmarket Austrian and European dishes with global influences. It's a popular spot for locals, including artists, journalists, and actors. The menu is in German, but the friendly waitstaff are willing to help with translations. The restaurant offers delicious authentic Austrian cuisine and prompt service, with some staff members fluent in English. They serve food until late at night, making it a great option for a late meal.
Had a Viennese breakfast and a healthy breakfast and the food was very good. I was full all day. We are both English and LGBT and the waiters were super friendly and welcoming. We were given English menus also. Wasn’t busy so had lots of space and didn’t feel rushed at all

Location: close to everything yet protected from the hustle and bustle of everything, thanks to its being nestled in a tiny alley. The afternoon crowd is dominantly folks in business attire, with a few tables of casual diners mingled in. Pared-down decor. Soothingly simple in a town of over-the-top flourishes in late baroque/ rococo style. Attentive service. Yes, recommended.
Handan B — Google review
Food was good, vintage Austrian cafe, we had breakfast. The coffee Late was hot and delicious. We had English breakfast. We ordered a chocolate crepe but we got apricot crepe instead. Delicious though.

Worst place ever! The man with a curly hair and silly smile with orange hair was very rude he gave us a German menu and when we called him to give us another one he came and rudely asked us that we need to wait and why are we complaining after few seconds and we should look and the menu “the one we don’t understand” till he comes again! If you don’t like your job man up and leave it instead of treating people so poorly

A place where the locals hang out over coffee and newspapers. Has a quiet and casual elegant atmosphere. I had a two course lunch with local beer for about 20eu, it was so good I know I will be back again someday, as others have mentioned. The service is typical Viennese, and is fine as expected. Classic, delicious and fairly priced, what more could one want?
A S — Google review
Did not enjoy my experience at Cafe Englander. I can forgive slow service even if there was no one there, but 40 minutes for avocado black toast and eggs and bacon, two cappuccinos! The avocado had already oxidized. I was able eat mine with my fingers but my partner never received cutlery, wait staff no were to been seen, he used the spoon from the cappuccino. What broke the camels back was after 30 minutes waiting to pay and leave, I was told, not asked for a tip, the bill was 31€, I begrudgingly said to round up too 33€, i checked my phone and he had rounded to 35€. Thankfully I never have to go there again, would have been better to get prepacked food from the Spar around the corner and go to the park.
Mainard G — Google review
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. I recently visited this restaurant and was really disappointed with the service. We were not given the correct number of forks for our group, and when we politely asked for the missing ones, the server responded with a rude attitude instead of simply helping. It made the whole dining experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Good food is important, but so is basic courtesy and service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning again.

Vulcanothek, located in the city center of Vienna at Ferstel Passage, offers a delightful experience with fine Vulcano ham specialties from Styria paired with an excellent selection of local wines. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make it a great spot to relax and enjoy top-quality ham platters, cheese platters, and local wines. Visitors rave about the 27-month aged ham, pumpkin soup, and the refreshing alcohol warm punch drink.
A wonderful little cafe located within ten minutes walking distance of the cafe central in Vienna. It has wonderful selection of wines and 18 months dry aged and cured cold cut meat based sandwiches. For a heavier meal, try the goulash or the pumpkin soup. The ambience is marvellous and a unique feature is how you can peek into a glass enclosed side chamber where they dry age and cure ham and meats. Overall a lovely experience while walking about Vienna in the early part of December.

Lovely place inside the magnificent Palais Ferstel passage. Very good food and wine, excellent service and nice atmosphere, plus not that pricey. The only downside is the bad acoustics in the passage, which makes it a bit hard to converse. Otherwise it's well worth visiting for an enjoyable evening. Truly recommended.

I had probably the best ham in my whole trip. The 27 months aged ham was mind-blowing. The waitress suggested the local white wine to go with the cheese platter and ham platter, we went for it and there wasn't any disappointment. The servers were attentive, the tapas was good and the wine refreshed us for our next journey. Overall, it is a great chill spot for anyone nearby.

Nature & Parks
Rathauspark, also known as City Hall Park, is a stunning green oasis nestled between some of Vienna's most iconic landmarks, including the city hall and the Austrian Parliament. Designed in an English landscape style and opened in 1873, this expansive park spans approximately 40,000 square meters and features two beautifully symmetrical sections centered around elegant fountains. Visitors can stroll along its picturesque walking paths lined with oversized marble statues of notable figures like composers Johann Strauss and Josef Lanner.
Located within the huge Rathaus Park, with the town hall as its backdrop, is this impressive, skating rink and trail that weaves its way around the park, we were told its is one of the biggest skating areas in the world. we loved the atmosphere and vibe during our visit, everyone was having so much fun.

The ice skating at the Rathauspark is simply magical. Beautifully constructed around the park with trails through the trees and even a small hill. The Rathaus is floodlit and is truly stunning at night. It's well worth a visit even if you don't want to skate. Some food and drinks are also available. Also, just next door to the national parliament building.

From the sleek SO Cosy to the luxurious SO VIP suite, guests can enjoy stylish accommodations with amenities like Nespresso machines and stunning city views. The 18th-floor Das Loft Bar and Lounge provides a breathtaking panoramic view of Vienna's skyline, while the hotel's location on the lively Donaukanal makes it ideal for adult travelers seeking a vibrant urban experience.
Excellent hotel. Warm and personalized treatment even when is a big hotel. Modern, spotless and comfortable rooms with the city of Vienna at your feet. Luxury bedding and pillows perfect for a restful night. Wonderful staff, (Anousha and the rest of the team) very professional and friendly, make your stay unforgettable. Having breakfast with that view is a good way to start your day. The free minibar goodies are nice!

Our airline lost our luggage and when we arrived a bit early to drop off the carryons we had, from the time of check in to checking out, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, especially Tianhao. He helped us numerous occasions during our stay and each time with a grace and a smile. The other staff were just as wonderfully. The view from the top floor restaurant was amazing, a must see in Vienna. This was probably the most restful and restorative stay I can remember. Highly recommend this place.
Quang O — Google review
This was our third time visiting the hotel, and once again the room was perfect, we even had a lovely view of the city. The Das Loft bar remains the best in town, the cocktails are absolutely 10/10. However, this was our first time trying the hotel breakfast, and unfortunately, the waiter was quite rude and the service was very slow. We’ll definitely return to the hotel again, but probably without breakfast because at a 5-star hotel and this price point, guests shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of attitude.
Zsófia P — Google review
We stayed at SO/ Vienna for 3 nights and were pleased with the location. We had convenient access to metro and tram lines within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. We were also able to walk conveniently to St. Stephen's Cathedral within 15-20 minutes, where there were many shops and restaurants around. Check in was quick and thorough and we were told about what our stay included, as well as where the gym and sauna were located. The restaurant and bar (Das Loft) on the 18th floor was gorgeous and had sweeping views across Vienna. Every evening when coming back to our hotel, we saw lots of people waiting in line to get up to Das Loft. As hotel guests, we were able to go straight up through elevators that only hotel guests could access. Elevators required key card scan to make it function which added an extra layer of security to our stay. Rooms were clean and modern but lacked a bit of warmth. The floors were all tiled and as such, the bed was easily moved if you bumped into it. Having a rug in the room would have added a nice touch and left the room still easily cleanable. Our room had both a tub and a shower as well as double sinks but the toilet was in a small room next to the room door. Bathroom layout was different from other hotels I have ever stayed at. I liked that the items in the mini bar (water, juices, small snacks) were complimentary and made it easy for us to not have to look for places to get water or worry about mini-bar prices. Breakfast was delicious and had "buffet" options such as rolls, salad, fruit, etc. but also gave guests the option to order unlimited dishes that were made to order. Paired with the phenomenal views from the 18th floor made breakfast a relaxing way to start the day.
Lisa T — Google review
The hotel was well located within an easy walk to the historic district. We enjoyed the upstairs bar on the 18th floor, but we felt that the breakfast was very expensive. The hotel room was a little too open for our taste, but was very comfortable. A big shoutout to one of the staff, Boris, who was always very polite and helpful.
Elena M — Google review
We spent part of our stay at the Ritz Carlton and part at SO Vienna. SO Vienna is much more our vibe. Modern and laid back. Great front desk staff and very unusual interior design… especially the window coverings in our high floor room overlooking the river and city with amazing views. Breakfast was outstanding if a bit pricey … but you couldn’t ask for more food options. Honestly did not love the beds and bedding but the room amenities and shower were great.

Exceptional Stay at SO/ Vienna — Made Extra Special by the Team! From the moment we arrived, we already felt well taken care of. Helena, the Assistant Front Office Manager, and her colleague (a kind Chinese gentleman whose name I unfortunately forgot 😅) made our check-in smooth and stress-free, even after a short half-hour wait. They offered coffee and water, gave us drink vouchers, and most importantly — made us feel genuinely valued. Helena went above and beyond by helping me plan a surprise for my husband’s 40th birthday. She personally facilitated everything and even added complimentary breakfast for the rest of our stay! Talk about going the extra mile — I was honestly blown away. Ambiance: The hotel itself is a modern masterpiece. Every corner feels stylish and thoughtfully designed. The panoramic view from our room overlooking the Danube River and the bustling cityscape is truly breathtaking — it’s one of the hotel’s best highlights! Room: We stayed in a 30-sqm room with a king-sized bed — very spacious and cozy. The bed was super comfortable, and the lounge couch was perfect for relaxing. A few things could be improved — a bidet would be great, and the shower temperature ran a bit too hot even on its lowest setting. But overall, it was a comfortable stay. The minibar was fully stocked and free, which is a nice touch! I also loved the “sleep amenities menu” where you can choose your preferred pillow type — such a thoughtful detail. Location: Perfectly located — just a short walk to Vienna’s main attractions, shopping areas, and great restaurants. It made exploring the city so convenient. Food: The breakfast was excellent! Hot dishes are cooked fresh from the kitchen, so even if you sleep in, you’ll still get delicious food served warm. Nico, Ivy and the Spanish Girl ( i forgot her name 😅) were all so attentive. Overall: SO/ Vienna is not just an impressive hotel — it’s the people who make it truly unforgettable. The hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail were second to none. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories. Would definitely stay here again! ❤️

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, the Volksgarten is a stunning public park that beautifully marries history and leisure. Originally designed as a private garden for archdukes, it has welcomed visitors since 1825 and is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Center of Vienna. The park features manicured landscapes adorned with temples, fountains, and vibrant rose gardens.
One of the most beautiful and peaceful parks in Vienna. Whichever time of the day, this is the perfect place to take a break and enjoy the so many roses growing here. Just take a look at these pictures.

An impressively lovely gardens right along the inner city of Vienna. Everything is precise, orderly and beautiful. There’s a section where rose bushes are donated by people and it makes for a colorful pop along the walking path. The Vienna Marriott Hotel is an upscale accommodation located in the heart of Vienna, offering chic dining options and a casual sports bar. The hotel boasts excellent service and immaculate rooms, along with amenities such as a large indoor heated pool, 24/7 gym, and spa area. Situated on Ringstrasse Boulevard across from Stadtpark, it provides easy access to popular attractions like St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera.
We spent a week at the Marriott and it proved to be an exceptional stay. From the first moment we stepped through the door, up to our early morning day of departure, every interaction with the team was welcoming and hospitable. The suite was well-appointed, the lounge offers spectacular views as well as an outdoor seating area, and the spa has something for everyone. There are several in-house restaurant options, and a knowledgable Concierge interested in understanding your likes and interests in order to make meaningful recommendations. Apart from what the hotel itself offers, it is in a perfect location and in walking distance of some truly spectacular sites. Loved it, and I will absolutely stay here again.

We stayed 5 days at this Marriott. This was the second time we stay at this hotel, and we love it. The staff are very competent, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good, and the restaurant’s staff are great. The location is unbeatable. It’s walking distance to the main attractions, train and metro stations, restaurants and shopping.

Central hotel with a good restaurant and large, modern, well-equipped rooms. Close to all the city center attractions, and to multiple transport options. Highlights of our trip were the excellent staff who took care of us (especially Dominik Kaiser who went above and beyond the usual service), the amazing breakfast buffet (and again, the staff in the dining room), and the hotel bar and coffee service. Outstanding hotel, made even more so by its staff. Recommended.
Patrick C — Google review
My main issue was the point of how you get so little in return for so much money. The hotel itself is old-fashioned, to the point of being cringy for young people, the room is nothing special either. Literally one day before I checked in here, I stayed in their Courtyard by Marriott Messe hotel, which had a very similar room, but the price for it was such that I could have stayed there for a week instead of staying here for just 3 nights. I was actually waiting for a day to have my room changed, which was supposedly "better", but it turned out to be almost the same, and having a view on the inner courtyard of the hotel. On the last day a cleaning maid walked in my room with a "don't disturb" sign hanging outside, which is something that actually has never happened to me in a single hotel. One thing I really got a kick out of was how "Marriott Members get to enjoy a high-speed internet", after, again, me paying 300 euros per night for a 100 year old room. The staff do try to work for the guests, but the organization here has a weird overall understanding of how things should be at a hotel. And I would still say that there are bigger problems - which cannot be solved by making a few adjustments, but by bringing this hotel down, rebuilding it, and having a different management. My only conclusion is that you're paying for the location and the supposed "prestige" of this establishment. Needless to say, I'll never stay in another Marriott.
Laver — Google review
The hotel is situated in an ideal spot. Its accessibility is a major plus: a simple train ride from the airport to the city center, followed by a short, 10-minute walk, and you're there. The fact that all the major attractions, dining spots, and shopping are within easy walking distance is a huge bonus.
Beehan A — Google review
The hotel was kind enough to give us a connecting room at a last minute notice. Called from my home country and someone picked up v quickly and attended to this request. Fantastic location with the price we paid. Breakfast had v good spread too, however lacks Asian touch. There’s was a server - lady named Marina was very rude during breakfast service. Directed me to get my own dry napkins, and u fumbled to find them at a coffee and tea service counter which I think it’s only accessible by service staff. A younger server wanted to help but I saw Marina holding back his hands signaling not to help me. This is absolutely not acceptable and the breakfast area was not even crowded that I have to do self service!! Dear Marriott management, pls do something about this. This does not live up to the Marriott’s name!
Jaz C — Google review
Was attending a conference there! Nice clean hotel, good F&B, Front Office staff should be trained on solution finding, even if things are not possible to action. Not really friendly neither.

My overall stay at this Marriott had positives and negatives. On the positive side, Martin, the Guest Relations Manager, was exceptional — professional, welcoming, and truly the best person I met during my stay. Many of the other staff members were also kind, attentive, and delivered the level of hospitality I usually expect from Marriott. Unfortunately, my experience with Maryam, also a Guest Relations Manager, was the complete opposite. Her attitude and behavior were unprofessional and disappointing, and I was very surprised to see someone like this in such a role. This one negative interaction really affected my impression of the property.

Hotel Motel One Wien-Staatsoper is a stylish and affordable accommodation located in a late 19th-century building, just steps away from the Ringstrasse Boulevard and the Staatsoper. The modern guest rooms offer all the conveniences for a comfortable stay. The hotel features a sophisticated bar, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Its central location makes it convenient to explore Vienna's main attractions, including the Vienna State Opera and Hofburg Residence.
Hotel is in the perfect location. We could walk to most of our tours and activities. Rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was great with a wide variety to choose from. The staff at the front desk was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and answering any questions we had. We would definitely recommend Motel One when visiting Vienna!

The hotel is nice enough and in a good location. Rooms are clean and tidy, and it is quite a large hotel so a decent reception area and bar open late. Parking is in a nearby parking garage which is a bit of a pain to get to and costs €22 per day. No tea, coffee or water in the room which would be nice, but other than that would recommend for the location which is a minute or so from the opera house.

We paid for three rooms in the hotel. The location is excellent in the city center. But the rooms are very small, to the extent that there is no room for two large suitcases. The shower is very small. Another thing is that there are no trash cans either around the hotel or in the rooms. I recommend arranging some kind of arrangement for this matter. All in all, I recommend it to those who come for a day or 2 days . for a family, the arrangement is less convenient
Yanai K — Google review
The stay was OK enough. The room I got was quite old and the shower was a nightmare to cooperate with, it fell down from it’s holder very often. Breakfast is almost the most boring breakfast I’ve had in Europe, almost like an breakfast at a American hotel is better. Hotel was well located, clean enough, but definitely below the standard I was expected.

The location is great, the room is cosy & clean, and the staff are friendly. But I only wish the curtains were thicker so it'd be completely dark at night. This interrupted my sleep, causing me to wake up every day at around 5:30. Other than that, the internet connection was pretty good, and there was no need to register with a code every day, which was convenient. We didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Amedia Wien for four nights. As a 4-star establishment, it offers a reliable and comfortable accommodation experience. The hotel premises and rooms are generally modern and well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant stay. The room itself was clean and offered good comfort for the duration of my trip. The main advantage, given its location outside the historical centre, is the excellent access to public transportation. This makes it easy and efficient to travel quickly to all the key attractions in Vienna.

Small cafe bar attached, open til 11pm. Lidl supermarket literally next door. Comfy bed, pillows were poor to be honest, very flat. Decent bathroom with bath and shower.

Extremely unprofessional attitude — I am honestly in shock. Here’s what happened: a group of teenage rhythmic gymnasts were traveling for a competition together with their coaches. As athletes, they have a strict schedule and routine, and we have never had any issues or complaints with accommodation anywhere before — from either side. We expected the same this time, but we were terribly wrong. The booking was made well in advance through the Booking.com platform, so the hotel staff definitely saw it. The reservation had been confirmed and active for almost a month. Just as we were about to make full payment, the hotel contacted us (via Booking.com) with a shocking message: “We cannot accommodate your group.” Mind you, finding alternative accommodation for 21 people just a little over a week before the competition is almost impossible! Then came “option two”: “You can still stay, but you must pay an extra €50 in cash for each teenager.” Excuse me — WHAT?! Their explanation was that they would “refund it later if everything is fine.” Sure… I can just imagine how that would go when everyone is rushing to the airport. The staff could easily delay things until you give up — and the cash “extra” stays in their pockets. This is absolutely unacceptable and unethical behavior. It’s clear that this hotel cares more about squeezing money out of guests than about hospitality or professionalism.

We spent a wonderful weekend in Vienna. And the hotel contributed a lot to that. The location is great, the metro station is a few minutes walk, and if you like to walk, it takes 25 minutes to the city center. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is excellent and of high quality. And all praise goes to the staff, who are courteous, professional and very friendly. For every recommendation!

I have spent 2 nights here and will do it again definitely. Very satisfied with this hotel, breakfast is well served and has all you can usually ask for breakfast and it is very delicious. View from my room was nice although weather in Vienna was terrible.

The room is not very spacy (at least ours, on the 5th floor), but it covers the needs. Bed big and comfortable. Cleaning service wad just fine. The ladies at the front-desk, always ready to help, always accompanied by a smile. Breakfast much more than expected.

The Best Western Plus Amedia Vienna is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the city. The rooms are exceptionally clean, warm, and well maintained, providing a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring. Everything feels modern and thoughtfully designed, from the comfortable beds to the spotless bathrooms. One of the biggest advantages is the central location — close enough to reach Vienna’s main attractions with ease, yet tucked in a pleasant and quiet area. The transport links nearby make getting around the city effortless, with trams and the U-Bahn just a short walk away. Staff are welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you’re staying for a weekend getaway or a longer visit, the Best Western Plus Amedia Vienna delivers on all fronts: comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. A highly recommended base for exploring beautiful Vienna!

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, Hilton Vienna Plaza is a stunning hotel that captures the essence of old-world glamour inspired by the Roaring Twenties. With its elegant design featuring dark wood accents, polished bronze fixtures, and exquisite Carrara marble, this luxurious retreat offers spacious accommodations that are perfect for families or those seeking a touch of opulence. Many rooms come with balconies or terraces boasting breathtaking rooftop views—ideal for soaking up the city's charm.
Loved this hotel, wish I could have stayed for longer. Location was great, walkable to most of the city with lots of tram lines nearby. Rooms were a really good size as well as being immaculate. I loved the executive lounge, excellent choice of Austrian wines as well as delicious salads, local cheeses and soup available between 5 and 7 in the evening. Breakfast was also excellent, loved the overnight oats and fruit salad as well as the eggs benedict. The lobby is stunning and the staff are the friendliest, can't wait to visit again.

We loved staying here. The staff where friendly. They do seem to hold functions in the lobby area so you need to make your way through them to get to the lifts on occasion. You can walk to all the attractions from here if feeling fit, but there is also an entrance to a train station just around the side of the building which is so convenient. There was also a tram stop at the other side.

Nice hotel with well-appointed rooms and a great location near tram and subway stops providing access to local attractions. The restaurant and bar are good, but very expensive and you can find many good and more cost-effective alternatives nearby. The hotel is on a busy street that is great for walking access but there is some unavoidable siren noise at night. I like that you can open the window and get a fresh breeze during the day. The lighting in the room is complicated, you almost need a Boolean mathematician to make it work. Some switches operate several lights overriding other switches. If I stayed there for a week I could probably figure it out but I’m not clear on the benefit. I do like the USB jack near the bed so I can use my phone as an alarm while charging.

Great location. Excellent buffet breakfast for the 2 days we spent. Our room was on the small side; my friend's room was comparable to a suite - huge bathroom & plenty of walking space. Easy walking to St Stephen's Christmas market. Servus was a nice restaurant just down the block for a nice dinner with generous portions. Would definitely return.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Hilton Vienna Plaza. The room was spacious, the bathroom was spotless, and everything was well-maintained, making our experience truly pleasant. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the city centre, with easy access to the airport and train station, which made getting around very convenient. Although the check-in process took a bit longer than expected, everything else during our stay was absolutely smooth and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Vienna!

Room is modern furnished. Everything I needed during my stay was available: water kettle, iron, safe, fridge toiletries ..the location was also close to a supermarket and five minutes walk to the underground. Four stars because the view of the room was not fabulous.

Right from the the grand entrance to the room, the interiors of the hotel are simply superb. The warm hospitality of the staff was second to none. To name a few Kristopher, Mustafa, Florian, Reddy, the bartender all were humble and friendly. The breakfast was of a vast variety to cater for everyone. Their smoothies are to crave for. The cocktails were great too.

The 4-star Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof is a great place to stay in Vienna. The hotel is close to coffeehouses and Schonbrunn Baroque Palace, making it an excellent choice for travelers looking for a convenient location. Rooms are bright and modern with all the amenities you need, and the affordable price makes it an ideal option for budget-minded guests.
We felt right at home as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Washma at the reception for her kindness and support. We stayed here for a business trip and really enjoyed our time. Although the hotel is a bit away from the city center, the transportation infrastructure is excellent — with metro and train stations very close by, we had no trouble getting around. The furniture has a slightly retro style, but everything was very clean and well-maintained. Many thanks as well to the housekeeping team for keeping everything tidy and comfortable. Also breakfast was perfect.

We recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel Wien Westbahnhof, and we have to say, the location is unbeatable for exploring Vienna 📍—it's super convenient and close to everything! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay, and they truly made us feel welcome. 😊 One of the great highlights was the terrace. It's a fantastic spot to grab a drink on a nice day. 🥂 However, as with any experience, there are areas for improvement. Honestly, for a four-star hotel and a well-known chain like Mercure, we expected a bit more investment in maintenance and modernization. Our room was a bit dated and definitely needed some updates, especially with the furniture. A major point of concern was the lack of air conditioning. 🌡️ We were given a fan, but for a hotel of this caliber, especially on a hot day, this is something you don't expect. 🥵 With a little attention to these details and some much-needed renovations, this hotel could be truly spectacular and reach its full potential. We're confident that an investment in these areas would significantly enhance the guest experience. ✨ Despite these points, we want to thank the team for their excellent service. We hope these comments are helpful for future improvements!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof! The entire experience was pleasant and soothing from start to finish. A special thank you to Elina Goldberg, who was incredibly supportive and took care of everything with such professionalism and warmth — she truly made my stay effortless. The room was spacious and equipped with all the necessary facilities, ensuring complete comfort. The food was top-notch, with a great variety and quality that exceeded my expectations. The ambience of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Vienna. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof for anyone visiting the city. Excellent service, great food, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere — couldn’t ask for more!

Superb location next to the station and a very clean and welcoming hotel. We arrived early and got coffee as we waited while Sabri the manager sorted out our room. He was so helpful and polite. Thoroughly recommend this hotel - great value for central Vienna just a couple of stops to the inner city.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel experience in Vienna was so misleading that I feel obligated to warn other travelers. This property advertises itself as a 4 star hotel, but the reality is nowhere close. The rooms are extremely outdated, cramped, and uncomfortable. They feel more in line with a budget two star hotel at best. Even management admitted the rooms are old and uncompetitive for the area, which tells you everything. We specifically booked rooms with two twin beds, but upon arrival we were given king bed setups in both rooms. This forced us to change rooms close to midnight after a long day of travel. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience or offering a meaningful solution, management insisted their listings were accurate, which honestly felt dismissive and gaslighting considering they had already admitted the rooms are outdated. Their form of compensation? Three drink tickets. Which sounded like an insult and felt even worse when the bar told us the vouchers were only valid for beer, wine, or coffee. This is not the standard you expect from a supposed 4 star property. I’m sure Vienna has many excellent hotels. This is not one of them. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere until major renovations and a serious customer service overhaul take place.

Mercure brand on a budget. Value for money. Dont expect luxury for the amount you paid. Good side, basic amenitiies are complete: fridge, soap, shampoo, desk, good wifi, coffee & tea and sufficient space. Maxim, who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. Location is ideal, its near the orange line U3, the tram station, supermarkets like lidl and billa.

If you are traveling through Vienna and expecting a true four star experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. My group and I booked this hotel as part of a multi city bundle, all listed as four star properties. This was the only one that fell noticeably below that standard. The staff at the front desk were polite and tried to help, but the rooms themselves were old, worn, and far from what you would expect from a four star listing. Even when issues were raised, the solutions offered felt more like gestures than actual service. For example, a “voucher” intended for five guests ended up being three drink tickets limited to beer or wine. Small things, but they speak to how little guest perception seems to matter here. The attached restaurant is quite good, but the rooms and the overall value do not match the rating or the advertising. If room quality and comfort matter to you, there are better options in Vienna at a similar price point.
Yarton — Google review
What a delight to be welcomed warmly by Maxim. The hotel smells very pleasant as soon as you step into the entrance. Room is clean. Superior room has kettle, cups, coffee and tea. Bathroom has a bathtub. The only concern we have is that the bathroom floor tends to flood after a shower bec there's a slit / opening in the glass divider.

The hotel features free WiFi, underground parking, modern function rooms for events, and a 200m spa area with a sauna and fitness facilities. Nicely Renovated Hotel. Clean rooms. Nice Restaurant for breakfast and evening bar. Duty Manager Richard Mar is helpful and Attentive. NO executive lounge for Platinium Members. Some rooms facing the train track. Might be a bit noisy in the early hours when the train runs. Overall is good. Worth the price.

A Wonderful Experience- thanks to Mary The breakfast buffet was absolutely delightful, and it was all because of the incredible service from Mary. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a genuine smile and warm, beautiful words that instantly made me feel welcome. Mary is the epitome of a hospitality professional. She was so positive and clearly a hard worker, creating a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere for everyone. It was obvious that she genuinely cares about her guests. I truly wish there were more people like her in the hospitality sector. My experience was so pleasant that I will definitely be looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Mary, for making my morning so special!

Avoid this hotel if you can. Though breakfast is nice, location is convenient, you can get better value of your money elsewhere due to the bad service. I found dirty bathrobe the first day checked in, they did not say anything after I report to the agency platform; later I found there is no body lotion which they claimed that they provided, I made three requests and they said they will provide but no delivery. When I asked front desk what is going on, they finally said that they are out of stock that day—-when I asked the manager about those and she said it happens and they will look into it. But nobody said anything to me afterwards, no explanation. When I finally asked them when I was checking out, she just said the same thing that they were out of body lotion that day (at a Marriot Renaissance!: (). It seems that they do not care your experience, I really do not this matches the standard/image I have for Marriot

I have stayed at many Marriott properties, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had with the brand. After checking in for one night, I decided to extend my stay. I spoke directly with the manager at the front desk, who assured me that everything would be fine and my reservation would be updated. That evening, upon returning to my room, my girlfriend and I were shocked to find that all of our belongings had been removed. Missing items included prescription medication, chargers, contact solution, cash, a sentimental water bottle, and other personal effects. When I reported this to the front desk, I was essentially told it was not the hotel’s responsibility to ensure that items in my room remained there and that I should have “secured” them better. This response was dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly insulting. The staff member I spoke with had a terrible attitude and displayed no sense of accountability or concern. The following morning, I met with the manager, only to be told that housekeeping claimed we had left nothing behind—implying that I was lying. This was incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. I was assured I would be contacted by another manager to follow up, but more than a week has passed and no one has reached out. This entire experience left me feeling disrespected, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. To have personal belongings—including prescription medication and sentimental items—mishandled or taken, and then to be treated with such disregard by staff and management, is completely unacceptable. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of accountability, poor customer service, and dismissive treatment of guests make it one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Marriott should be embarrassed to have this property under its name.
Prince N — Google review
Unfortunately, my stay here was very disappointing. The hotel feels overpriced for what it offers – the building is dated, and the rooms are small, worn out, and in need of serious renovation. In the morning, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom sink, and the walls and fixtures showed signs of neglect (spider webs by the light, dirty walls, broken shower and sink parts). Noise was another big issue, as it was very loud early in the morning. Even the elevators seem untouched since the 1980s and add to the overall impression of a property that has not kept up with Marriott standards. I honestly cannot recommend staying here. There are much better options available in the area that provide more comfort, cleanliness, and value for money.
Jakub R — Google review
I stayed at Renaissance Vienna for 3 days. The location is excellent—right across from Meidling Hauptstraße, with easy access to public transportation, all within a 10-minute walk. Unfortunately, the service and room quality were very disappointing. On my first day, I found unflushed toilet paper in the bathroom, which I decided to brush off. The replaced towels provided were also not neatly placed, but I let that slide as well. However, I was quite upset to discover that the shampoo bottle in my room was completely empty. Luckily, I had brought my own. I reported this to the reception, and while they apologized, the shampoo still wasn’t replenished later that evening. I did appreciate that they had replaced the towel neatly this time. What really disappoints me is that I requested a wake-up call, and they simply forgot to do it. When I asked the reception to confirm whether it’s the mistake from my part (that maybe I just didn’t hear the wake up call), they admitted they had just forgotten. This could have easily caused me to miss my flight because I did wake up at not my ideal time. I’ve always trusted Marriott hotels for their consistency and quality, but this experience was a huge letdown. For a hotel that claims to be 4-star under the Marriott name, the lack of basic service and attention to detail is inexcusable. I left disappointed and frustrated, and I would not recommend this property.
Citra G — Google review
I am very disappointed that on a Friday evening at 23:15 the bar of this hotel Is closed. In the Marriott app it clearly states it should be open until 23:59. I have just been there and kindly asked for a glass of hot milch for our daughter, and was directly and without any option being told: 'we are closed'. The bartender could have easily offered a glass of Milch, instead he actually turned around !!! This is not service ...

One of the best experiences I've had..... Professional and friendly staff. The rooms are bourgeois and comfortable.... The shower in particular is a really interesting detail! The breakfast is rich, tasty and varied! The Viennese steak on the ground floor of the hotel is insanely good and the service is top notch. Especially Mr. Mirza and Mr. Bojan really know their business! When I'm next in Vienna, I'll definitely come back.

Stylish rooms, but the open bathroom might not be for everyone The materials and design inside this hotel are truly excellent—dark wood floors, elegant lighting, and thoughtful decor give the rooms a sophisticated, contemporary feel . However, I personally found the choice to have the sink and a rainfall shower integrated into the bedroom rather puzzling—there’s no separate bathroom, and the shower is essentially attached to the bed area, meaning all the humidity from the shower enters the room . It’s a bold design move, but not one I appreciated—and it’s enough that I wouldn’t stay again. Still, if you value stylish design and don’t mind the lack of privacy in the bathroom, these well-appointed rooms may appeal to you.

Well located hotel with easy access to all public transportation. Superior room was small and dark, but clean and comfortable. Was a concern to have shower that vented into the bedroom - I couldn’t help noticing potential black mould on the ceiling (and this was painted concrete floor beams!)? What a maintenance nightmare !! Was it us, but the lighting system switches were bonkers .. either all on or all off … no bedside lighting would work without the ceiling lights full on. Didn’t do breakfast as can easily get cheaper elsewhere.

Hotel was great, rooms lovely. Excellent breakfast. Our only disappointment was returning from the Opera for a drink on the roof terrace at 10:30pm Saturday evening. An ideal table was empty and available however the staff member told us we couldn't use it as they were setting up for breakfast! So we had to go elsewhere! Thought this was very poor service for hotel guests!

If it’s your first time in Vienna, this is the most convenient location. You can reach everywhere on foot, and it’s only 20 minutes to the airport by public transport. The rooms are perfectly adequate and clean. The buffet breakfast is very varied and delicious. Most importantly, the staff are extremely attentive, polite, and helpful. Thank you!

TLDR: amazing food, friendly staff, super clean Staff at check in were very friendly and welcoming. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are little quirky, or should I say “romantic”? while I am generally not a fan of the open plan design concept, I did like the hard wood floors and furniture. everything was functional and spotlessly clean. Shower was good, bed was a good size, AC worked just fine, windows opened. Had a great night of sleep. The gym is clean, but way too small. Ideally the hotel would offer a discount or so for a extramural full-size gym. I really enjoyed the small rooftop pool and terrace though. Main recommendation is: Don’t skip the food here. Breakfast on the top floor offers great views and a large variety both in buffet style and a la carte. Everything was very fresh, staff continuously refilled the food and beverages and nothing was too much. Great way to start the day! A Viennese friend recommended the restaurant for the best schnitzel in town and we loved it. absolute must have and, again, super friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit and looking forward to my next stay.

Average for the price. Room small and the toilet was dirty. Pipe must have run through room as at night water ‘flushed through’’ and kept us awake. Also, we wanted to have dinner in the restaurant and the reception didn’t seem interested and sent us to speak to the restaurant and they could not accommodate. Not been to a hotel before where dinner not available.

We stayed 5 days at this hotel and our stay was great. Good location, clean rooms and very comfortable. But the best is the service. Wonderful service. I have to admit that we had an unfortunate event with the overnight shift and a medication. However the next morning when we were checking out, the entire reception team, Nadine, Pablo, Nadine Lizard the manager, handled everything fast, attentive and amazing service. On top of it all the GM Markus Koller helped us and very quickly. I have to say we were impressed by how they handled the situation, the communication and how attentive and hospitable they all were. Thank you again to Markus, Nadine, Pablo and Nadine Lizard. I am in hospitality myself and having people that care for their work and service makes for a memorable stay! If we come back to Vienna we will make sure to come back to the hotel. Thank you again for a great stay and wonderful service! Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The service was prompt and to our liking as a family. I would definitely recommend spending some time at the bar. Valentin with his wacky sense of humour and the very warm Abu were very hospitable. Housekeeping messed up one time and one of the windows was faulty. While not to be overlooked, these didn't cause any major problems.

The area around Novotel Wien City is very nice and convenient, with good access to the city and transport links. The hotel itself feels modern and clean, and the staff were generally helpful. However, my stay was let down by the bathroom. The bathtub had a leakage, which meant the floor was constantly wet and that really spoiled the mood. For the price, I was expecting better maintenance and comfort. Overall, it’s an okay option if you want a good location, but the room facilities definitely need more attention.

The check in time for the hotel is 3pm. We arrived 10minutes before that and the room wasn't ready and was told 5 minutes wait. This is acceptable. After waiting till little past 3pm asked and the room was not ready and was told again 5 minutes. We received the room keys around 3.15pm and asked if we could get a complimentary breakfast due to the delay and it was refused. Didn't receive any show of good faith and the manager who showed up was quite intimating with his tone of voice. Not a good start to a hotel stay.
John — Google review
As a frequent customer to Novotel hotels, I was surprised with the service at this location for many reasons: 1- house Keeping: while they arrange the room, they have no issue leaving dirty empty glasses or empty pizza box for days. also they will not replace what is used from amenity kits - provide one tooth brush for a family of 4, and once used no replacement. 2- equipment: We were given a broken iron x 2 with a defect in the handle, despite we raised the concern a day prior of the malfunctioning broken equipment. This should have been removed from service with our first complaint. 3- The front desk request you to return the ice bucket once you are done with it!!! that is the first to hear! never had that request at any hotel I ever stayed at. 4- when I was trying to explain to the managers, while they listened, yet also defended the process that it is a rule that they don't remove half filled glasses from the rooms, which I find odd, yet I reiterated we have two dirty empty glasses from the Bar that has been sitting there. 5- the breakfast: had a good food selection, yet the waiters will not approach to ask you for your needs and you have to seek them and ask for a boiled egg for your children. we have to go ask for a table to be cleaned - I understand they are busy, maybe they need more help to tackle a better service. I think the service needs a drastic improvement, the hotel location is great and the facility is good - yet these touches are required to improve the basic services required for a four star hotel.

Outstanding service and comfort. Truly a 5 star experience. We arrived late due to train delays, arriving much past the midnight. Anantara front desk kindly stayed in touch all through the journey and were very welcoming even though we arrived so late into the night. Room was smaller than the pictures on their website. Very comfortable bedding and stay overall. Location is decent; It’s a bit of a walk to the city center.

The Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel delivers a truly luxurious experience from the moment you arrive. The lobby and bar area are absolutely beautiful — elegant yet inviting — and the overall ambiance reflects classic Viennese sophistication with a modern touch. The breakfast was excellent, offering a generous and varied selection of both local and international dishes. (A small suggestion: adding potato vodka to the bar menu would be a welcome touch for guests who appreciate regional gluten-free spirits.) Our suite was spacious, beautifully appointed, and full of light, with soaring ceilings that added to the grandeur. Every detail felt carefully considered — from the plush towels and luxury bath products to the Dyson hairdryer and styling tools, which were a thoughtful surprise and very convenient. Throughout our stay, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, contributing to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that made our visit so enjoyable. This is an outstanding hotel in every respect — combining classic elegance, modern comfort, and attentive service in one of Vienna’s most distinguished settings.

Wonderful stay at the newly renovated Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna. The hotel feels fresh and modern, while still keeping the charm of the historic building. We stayed in a Deluxe room with a courtyard view, which was very quiet—so peaceful that we could sleep with the window open, something that’s rare in a city hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was super cozy and big. The breakfast was excellent, with both a buffet and à la carte options. There was a great selection of fresh food, and everything we tried was delicious. The staff were friendly and professional, always making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a relaxing and luxurious stay in the heart of Vienna. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others looking for a quiet, high-quality place to stay.

I had a wonderful experience at the bar in the Anantara Hotel Vienna! The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the drinks and food were great. A special thanks to Ray, the bartender — she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made me feel truly welcome. Her positive energy and professionalism made the day even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of the best hotels I stayed in. My recent trip to Austria I stayed for 6 nights and another single night. The staff working there were very pleasant. Special thanks to the concierge for arranging many of our transportation. Not to mention the receptionists who were there for us all the time. The lobby restaurant was phenomenal. I had their schnitzel when I arrived and my last dinner there. And for sure the bar baristas who made me espressos everyday. Special thanks to Kasper who was really helpful the day I booked our rooms. The doormen who greeted us whenever we came. Definitely I will stay again

Stunning hotel in the best location! Central to all of the must-see sites in the city. All of the staff were also exceptional! I wanted to recognize Kiro at the lobby restaurant and bar who was so gracious and took amazing care of us, especially when my mom was feeling under the weather. And Mehdi was so kind and helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting Vienna!

Without any doubt the best hotel in Vienna. The service, the cleanliness, the quality of food and amenities is exceptional. Kerim looked after us at breakfast for the 5 nights we stayed here. His professional, calm and friendly service is something we are very impressed with. Special thanks to Patrick the general manager who leads an exceptional team and is the most professional manager taking care of every detail to make sure we had a comfortable stay. I really recommend this hotel and I will be definitely coming back here when I return to beautiful Vienna.

Hostel
Vienna Hostel Ruthensteiner offers basic dorms and private rooms, along with shared amenities like a kitchen, garden, and bar. Dating back to 1968, the hostel embodies the warm and social atmosphere associated with great hostels. Originally built in the 1840s, it has played a significant role in Viennese history and served as a refuge for immigrants. Located amidst chic cafes and vintage shops, it provides an ideal base for exploring central Vienna.
Stayed at Ruthensteiner Hostel with two friends in a private room and loved it! The hostel has great lounges, common areas, and a garden, plus handy services like bike rental and cheap transport passes. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. They also run lots of social activities, though we couldn’t fit them in this time. Overall, a great stay, I’d happily come back and recommend it!
Giorgia M — Google review
All in all a fantastic experience. The staff/volunteers were just so lovely and great. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is really social and it feels like a small family, even when you're only staying a few nights. Truly a home away from home. Special mention for the very friendly Paul who was especially helpful with tips. My number one choice of accommodation if I ever am to come back to Vienna.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great location and wonderful atmosphere! The staff are young volunteers — very well selected and all super friendly. Every night they cook dinner for the guests, and you simply pay whatever you feel like contributing. Our room was spacious, almost like a small studio with a kitchen and dining table. A truly amazing hostel — warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. Highly recommended!
Jose — Google review
This has got to be one of the best hostels in Vienna, if not the best! The atmosphere makes it really special. They cultivate a friendly, social vibe without being a party hostel. Breakfasts, happy hour, dinner, outings, special events….it builds a real sense of community, even if you’re only there for a few days. I will say it’s quite a young crowd (I’m mid 30s, most others seemed young to mid 20s) so I didn’t socialize as much as I otherwise might have, but that didn’t detract from the nice vibe of the place overall. The rooms are fine, though my single room was almost comically small - it’s truly a single for ONE person; I would not recommend trying to fit a couple in there. Last but not least, the location is lovely. It’s on a quiet block, a short walk to multiple public transit lines, and 15-20 mins to everywhere you’d want to be in the city. Overall I definitely recommend it and would stay here again!
Sarah — Google review
Wonderful hostel located just 5 minute walk from the U-bahn and the tram, very accessible and close to the city center. Staff was kind and amazing, room was super clean, common areas were very cozy and friendly. Bar opens every evening with awesome beer, optional breakfast and also a very cool "pay what you can" dinner each night that's made by a fellow guest at the hostel. So many helpful guides and tips for going around town and where to go. Would absolutely recommend this hostel to anybody wanting a friendly and accessible place to stay near Viennas city center.
James M — Google review
Apartment room was very nice, convenient and clean. Very very loud though, hard to sleep through all the door slamming and banging that happens all night every night. Convenient to get to Westbahnhof but far from heart of Vienna. Good for the price.
Monika — Google review
Very clean and comfortable. Lovely vibes, there were lots of people around ready to chat. The food was great and good value! Would definitely stay again
Rachel T — Google review
What a lovely hostel oasis! Very friendly staff, hostel breakfast & nightly dinners were delicious & great value, beds were comfy, bathrooms clean, self-service laundry with detergent, close to public transport and walkable to many sites, safe neighborhood, space to socialize and be an introvert as needed, good vibes overall. Female dorms were right across the road from reception. Would stay again and will recommend to any friends passing through Vienna!

Liebling is a popular spot in Vienna's seventh district, known for its cool ambiance and eclectic decor. The restaurant offers a breakfast menu with vegan options until 4 pm, including dishes like Bircher muesli and bulgur porridge with avocado salsa and hummus. After 4:30 pm, the menu features vegan options such as couscous salad, chickpea curry, dip variations, sandwiches, and caponata on bread.
We had a really good brunch here! We ordered the omelette and the egg Benedict with cheese and spinach both were delicious. The outdoor seating was sunny and relaxing, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a lazy morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

We had a great Shakshuka there which i absolutely love. The coffee was good and they have a lot of vegan options, the menu is already mostly vegetarian. Good for brunch or lunch. Fancy muesli too. Prices are very reasonable

First of all I want to say that the food experience was amazing here! The fact that this is a 3 star review is mainly because of the food, otherwise it would have been a lot less! The service was not so good as it took 10 minutes for them to bring us some coffee and also at the end when no one was willing to take our empty plates from the table so we can have some more space. They took it after 15 minutes when we wanted to pay and leave. But the worse part was with the dirt. The spoons and the coffee cups were dirty and this is a big hygiene issue. Also the bathroom was not so clean and not 100% functional! In conclusion a very good food experience, and very bad at everything else.
Denis I — Google review
Liebling was the first cafe we visited during our stay in Vienna because it was recommended as one of the "must try" breakfasts. As you enter you will realize that is a special furnished cafe with lots of different furniture which has an interest. However, the restrooms were very dirty and the locks didn't work. We were late getting our order and late being served on a Monday morning which it's not a very busy day and hour. We ordered shakshuka which I realized it was the no.1 dish and the egg benedicts with spinach and pieces of bacon. The portion was big enough but without taste. For the benedict eggs, the spinach covered the flavor of the dish and the bacon was like didn't exist in the dish. Shakshuka was just okay. The cappuccinos we ordered didn't have any strong flavor and the mugs had dirt on them. Generally we were not thrilled about the place we felt like the photos in Google are a little bit misleading and we don't know why is in the "must" of Vienna.
Stylianie M — Google review
Can food really be this disappointing? I ordered Turkish eggs - served with the cheapest bread, no chili oil, and eggs nowhere near poached. The Eggs Benedict were just as bad: instead of proper hollandaise, they used a cheap salad dressing. It’s such a shame, because the location is great and the terrace is spacious, but the food quality does not match the setting at all. Really bad
Sonia D — Google review
The food was awful, I ordered Tacos and pancakes, I was waiting 40minutes+, tortilla was horrible, guacamole sauce as well, pancakes were unbelievable basic and only two pieces for this price is crazy. Also the look like of the cafe is the worst I ever seen

The Liebling is a great cafe with a charming feel and good food options. They have a nice Shakshuka and their coffee was pretty good. The service was quite friendly too and prices reasonable. Several options for cakes were also available.

cosy small café, we had breakfast: nice choices (poached egg with grilled veggies on toasted bread, yummie!) and everything tasted delicious. food is prepared in a tiny kitchen corner next to the bar by one chef, so better be patient during rush hours :) coffee is also very good!

Shopping mall
The Ferstel Passage is a covered, 19th-century arcade in Vienna that's packed with upscale boutiques and cafes. It's a great spot to snap some lifestyle shots alongside the fountain and courtyard, or to take a seat in one of the cafes for some sweet shots. If you're looking for an underground party scene, head to Passage Nightclub located in a rundown underpass that used to connect the Imperial Palace and Kunsthistorisches Museum.
Interesting shopping covered shopping parade with a variety of shops and cafes. Ornate ceilings and architectural elements throughout the parade. Some interesting shops and cafes located throughout. Busy when we visited but not overwhelming. Worth a look.

J. Hornig Kaffeebar is a modern coffee shop located in the 7th district of Graz, Austria. The cafe offers a variety of high-quality coffee, including espresso-based and drip options, as well as excellent cold brew. It's an ideal spot to relax, work on your laptop or catch up with friends while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.
Cozy little coffee spot with a friendly vibe and consistently great coffee. Their own blend gives each cup a unique, rich taste — easily one of the best in town for everyday coffee lovers.

A very uncomfortable place — seating is tight, the seats are poorly secured, and the tables are tiny. The coffee tasted sour and unpleasant. The desserts (we had a cinnamon roll and a strawberry pie) lacked flavor — it felt like eating sorghum. I don't feel like coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Edit and reply to the answer of the owner: 30.10.2025. as there is no option to reply, i am editing my initial review in order to answer. I understand that it was a misunderstanding and it was fine. But nobody asked me if something was wrong with my coffee when i went to the counter second time, three people just watched me to get my second coffee and pay for it. And the main problem was that my second coffee was boiling hot. Thank you for taking the time to answer but your points are inaccurate. ————————————————————— After a long and exhausting day, I just wanted to have a coffee, relax, and enjoy a quiet moment. I ordered an Americano with “a little bit of milk.” The barista asked me to say “stop” while he poured the milk. After the very first drop, I said “enough,” but he kept pouring, so I repeated “enough, enough, enough!” Finally, he stopped—but by then, it looked more like a cappuccino. Somehow, he must have thought I was saying “more, more” (maybe because of the language barrier, since we spoke in German). I took my coffee, paid, and sat down, but after the first sip I realized I couldn’t drink it—it tasted only like milk, no coffee at all. So I went back to the counter and ordered the same coffee again, this time without milk. The barista prepared it without saying a word or asking if something had gone wrong with the first one, even though he clearly knew. I didn’t say anything either; I just paid again and sat down with my second coffee. Up to this point, it was already disappointing—but the real reason I’m writing this review is because my second coffee was boiling hot. It was far too hot to drink! So in the end, after spending almost €10 just to enjoy one simple cup of coffee in peace, I wasted both my money and my time—because I couldn’t drink either of them. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
Oytun — Google review
Good coffee spot in a nice location! The coffee is always top notch and the atmosphere is great! Have to give it four stars though as they are pretty strict on laptops for a place in Vienna and the Wi-Fi works through a code that lasts an hour. I get the reasoning, but pretty unusual for Vienna and is a hassle.
Nikita K — Google review
Can’t believe there are still coffee shops around that don’t offer sweeteners (sugar free). white & brown sugar, syrup and honey are all just sugar in different forms and not healthy options. This is a really easy fix guys
A S — Google review
From the outside it looked nice. But it was not clean (I came even with kids, so I do not have a high standard). The cappuccino was oke (there are better places), but the croissant was really bad (dry and not much flavour). We also had the yoghurt with rasberries. But the rasberries were clearly frozen ones so really sour. Afterwards I think its more a place were you work on your laptop. Thats the vibe of the place. But they definatly can approve theorie food.
Katrien M — Google review
We dropped by on Saturday (bank holiday) afternoon to have some coffee and desserts and my boyfriend wanted to read a little with his computer. We chose the place because it was noted on Google as “study friendly” and was COMPLETELY empty. There were maybe max 3 more people inside coming and going. The cakes were nice and the coffee was decent. However, an extremely unfriendly staff approached us (after we’ve already set for half an hour) and told us that it is not allowed to have laptops on the tables on weekends. He tried to act as if he is simply referring to the rule, however the way he was telling us to stop using the laptop without suggesting any alternative felt like he is enjoying exercising his power and we must leave the place nearly immediately. I believe, if it was in his interests to create a good atmosphere, he would have made an exception and kindly warn us about general use and tell us maybe that we could stay until place is filling up, but he did NOT provide these alternatives. Instead, he claimed that the rule comes from the fact that they are “normally full” on the weekends. However, it was extremely empty when we came and it didn’t even make sense for him to come and bother us, as if we were taken up space. Apart from that, there was already another girl sitting with her laptop before we came and ruffly 30 minutes after we arrived. The stuff said NOTHING to her, claiming to us that he “didn’t notice” her. We are completely disagree with the general rule of no laptops on weekends, especially when the place is empty, and we therefore request the manager (if he even cares) to reconsider it by making a couple of exceptional travels for this purpose and to have a serious conversation with the stuff about being friendlier to the customers. They really do not care about customers. A quick remark, about 3 more clients left in 20 minutes for the same nonsense rule in 2025. I agree with all comments on the stuff unfriendliness written below and truly do not want to come back after my experience. Edit to the comment: minutes after I wrote my honest and adequate review, the same staff approached me, claiming that my review is “fake”, giving remarks on my attitude and honest opinion. I guess if my opinion is really “fake”, he would ignore it. I left extremely disappointed and my mood is now completely poisoned.
Victoria I — Google review
Not a good experience. I was seated next to the door and had to keep my hat and coat on because of the cold draft coming in. Meanwhile, there were three empty tables in the back that I wasn’t allowed to use just because I had a laptop. Food and drink were also not so good.

Hotel Beethoven Wien is a refined hotel located between Ringstrasse museums and Naschmarkt snack options, facing the theatre where Beethoven composed his only opera. The corner townhouse offers bright, classic rooms with Viennese themes, from coffeehouse culture to strong women of the fin de siecle. Each room is named after historic figures and phenomena, decorated with individuality such as Viennese art nouveau posters paired with Biedermeier-style chairs.
What a gem of a hotel! We had an excellent three night stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a base in Vienna. Pros: Excellent location close to everything. Very quiet location at night. Spacious room (we stayed in a Salon room) with a huge bathroom. Well-functioning aircon even though it was during a heatwave. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great bar on the ground floor. Great breakfast. Cons: Only minor stuff: The clothing iron didn't work well

What a truly wonderful stay! We stayed in the Salon Suite, which was spacious and beautifully designed, with a gorgeous bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delightful — such a fantastic selection of breads, fresh fruit, and local treats, all served in a warm, charming setting. We really enjoyed our stay. Each floor has a different theme and the rooms, although a little small, have lots of character. Needs we're comfortable. Nice bathrooms. Enjoyed the bar. There is also a lounge with cookies and tea which we enjoyed. Everyone was friendly. Location was great. Short walk to public transportation. The market across the street was fantastic! Good restaurants, lots of vendors with all kinds of treats. They had a farmers market/swap meet on the weekend. Would 100% stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Beethoven. This is such a beautiful and lovingly maintained turn of the century building with very high ceilings and wonderful decor. Each floor has a specific theme from the Vienna 19th century art scene. My room was very comfortable and I also made use of the cozy lounge areas on the mezzanine level. That’s where they also serve the breakfast, which I got included with my stay. It was very good. The location right across the street from the Theater an der Wien and the Naschmarkt is super convenient. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for 4 nights. What a beautifully designed hotel! Their team is super helpful and I loved the complimentary tea and cakes in the lounge 😍 we even had a musical concert on Sunday which was exceptional. There are few hotels which can compare to Beethoven and i hope it keeps its unique charm.

Lovely hotel in a great location for getting to places within the city fairly quickly. We had a very early flight and the reception team allowed us to check in early to our room which was great. Service was excellent, when entering/exiting the hotel the team always greeted you with a smile and never hesitated to tend to your needs. Even little things like the french press on our room was broken and they immediately gave us a new one. The room itself was very clean, very nice high ceiling and a nod to the city’s history within it. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area. The customer service of the hotel made the trip to Vienna worthwhile. Thank you!

Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet with both non-vegan and vegan options. Really great experience staying at Altstadt with my family. Lovely historic building. We had booked their double rooms so the space for all of us was really nice! Tea time with live piano playing was a highlight, especially for our kids. Breakfast was top notch-with all the little details! organic breads, sour little candy just a few things that we really enjoyed. The staff is VERY friendly, helpful and they always have a smile on! Overall a very positive experience we still talk about, as we had a long vacation visiting a few countries and this was the favorite place we stayed in Europe! Home away from home.

We were delighted to experience the Grete Wiesenthal Suite. The sophisticated design, with its detailed touches, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was our first time in Vienna, and this apartment made it unforgettable. The moment we walked in, we felt immersed in Viennese charm. The presence of a piano was a lovely touch, making us feel right at home. Breakfasts were delicious, with the charming tea table adding a unique touch to our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to help with a smile. We’re already planning to return on our next visit to Vienna. Highly recommended for anyone!

This would be the first hotel I stay at again in Vienna. The breakfast is outstanding in the salon. High quality, fresh and all organic ingredients and tons of diversity. Great coffee and really amazing pastries during afternoon tea. The shower was incredible, the room was spacious and clean, and well stocked. There's some construction out front which kind of ruins the views and the vibe a bit but the general location of the hotel is great. The front desk staff go above and beyond and made our stay absolutely fantastic.

An incredible place to stay in Vienna. A huge thank you to Sarah and the rest of the staff for their hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail. The rooms were immaculate and each have their own unique design. We loved the breakfast (especially the smoked salmon, including a vegetarian option) and the tea time, which featured a different, delicious cake each day. The tea time was so good that we found ourselves changing our plans to make it back to the hotel just to have it -- it was a welcome break from walking all over Vienna, and to refresh before dinner. The location is incredible as well. The Neubau neighbourhood is quiet and lovely, and just a few minutes' walk away from the nearest metro and tram lines. I also really appreciate their commitment to sustainability. From the breakfast to the rooms service, important (but not intrusive) measures are taken to ensure that nothing is wasteful. I cannot recommend the Altstadt enough. We will always remember our stay with them and cannot wait to return in the future.

Unquestionably the best part of every exquisite day that I enjoyed over a week of celebrating a rather big birthday in Vienna - was coming home to the hotel ! I've travelled extensively for work and stayed at brilliant places but this place gets under your skin, it lets you breathe and feel whole - there is something about it for sure ! First time for me in Vienna and I get what the friends were talking about, especially about the hotel. Everything is flawless, attention to detail is magnificent and the characterful suites are the great retreat for the night. Impossible to believe but it is true - perfection exists !

Best lunching experience on a Saturday summer afternoon. I ordered some chicken schnitzel. And a small beer. Main dish came with french fries. They were perfectly crispy. The schnitzel was one of the best i had. And ample. Even the ketup provided was for the first time, generous. I cannot recommend it any less.

We had a disappointing experience here. First, we were charged 50 cents each just to use the toilet — €1 in total — and only received coupons as compensation after we had already ordered our food. The food itself was okay for the price, nothing to complain about there. Unfortunately, the service was poor from start to finish. Our waiter was completely disengaged, never communicative or friendly, and gave the impression that he really didn’t want to be there. We were polite and did nothing to cause this attitude. When it came time to pay, we mentioned we had two toilet coupons. He brought the bill without applying them and didn’t even ask how we wanted to pay — he just processed it as a cash payment. When we said we needed to pay by card, he became visibly annoyed and had to go back to make a new receipt. No thank you, no acknowledgment — just grumpiness. We had already left a €2 tip on the table, which we immediately regretted. He didn’t deserve it at all. Not applying the toilet coupon discount wasn’t a huge deal financially, but it was disappointing in principle. If you care about friendly service, be warned — we hope you don’t end up with the same waiter, or that he sees this review and reflects on how he treats guests.

I went to this café with my mom and a friend a few days ago on a Sunday afternoon. My mom ordered a strudel and a coffee and we sat on the table with her, but since we had already eaten, we didn't order anything. Then a waiter came to take our orders and my friend and I said we were fine and didn't want anything. So the waiter said we had to order something to use the table. Otherwise, we'd have to leave. I then pointed that my mom had ordered and that an hour earlier my husband and I had also ordered sweets and coffees in that same café. Still, the man said we needed to order things if we wanted to use the table. If not, we had to leave. In the end, my mom was left alone in the café with no company because we of course did not want to pick a fight. I have been to a ton of cafés, but this is the most absurd idea I've ever seen: you must eat alone if your friends/family don't order anything. Needless to say, there were many tables available at the time. There was no reason to kick us out like that. And even if there were no more tables available, cafés are supposed to be cozy places where you can enjoy time with friends and family, not an individual eating competition. But I guess now I understand why there were so many tables available: they have terrible service and atmosphere. Food was okay, but no food in the world would be able to compensate this. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Also, they charge €0,50 for the toilet even if you order something, which is nuts.

We came early for breakfast, it's located under the ferris wheel. We ordered melange 5/5: great coffee. Mozart coffee 5/5: one of the best we've had. eggs and bacon for the kids 5/5: perfectly cooked. Bacon wrapped sausage 4/5: the bacon wasn't crispy enough for our taste, but the flavors were there. Overall, service was friendly and the place was quiet despite the long line outside the door. Prices are reasonable for a tourist attraction.

Low quality food. The french fries tasted badly, just look at them. The snitzel was not eatable Poor restaurant. What you see in the pictures is what I could eat and I was very hungry. Bad experience. This restaurant is not meant for human consumption. I first gave the service 3 stars, but one of my friends didn't want to give a tip because he, just like me, couldn't eat to much. The waiter inserted the tip into the bill without telling us. When my friend said the bill wasn't ok the waiter said "is only a 10% addition". We said the food was awfull and the meal didn't desearve a tip. The waiter then asked us what was wrong - the reason he asked us was not because we barely touched the food, but beacause we didn't wan't to give a tip. Poor food, poor service! How can you give 5stars for such a place!?

Hotel Nestroy Wien is a stylish hotel with modern rooms and suites, featuring amenities such as a gym, sauna, and a laid-back lobby bar. Situated conveniently next to an underground station, it offers easy access to the Viennese Giant Ferris Wheel. The hotel boasts air-conditioned rooms and provides 24-hour front desk assistance, laundry service, and concierge service. Guests appreciate its prime location near key attractions like Barmherzigenkirche and Filmarchiv Austria.
Beautiful inner city boutique hotel. Completely rebuilt. All their staff are friendly and very helpful, especially Paula at front desk.

We spent two nights here at the end of january and we are actually satisfied apart from a couple of things. Our room on the fifth floor wasn't big, but it was quite comfortable. Maybe a little too hot, we slept with the window open due to excessive heat. The hotel let us use the sauna for free which was a great addiction and restoration after walking for miles in the beautiful city. Breakfast wasn't included with the price but that's fine considering the fact that there are a couple of bakeries just 5 minutes away from the accomodation. The staff was kind, but on check out morning we were abruptly awoken in our sleep by a lady who opened our room. It wasn't yet check out time (this happened at 9am). The hotel itself feels pretty clean (our room was) and tidy but the ongoing restoration (as seen in the hall and the room upstairs) kinda gave it a creepy feel! We misplaced our lift from the sauna to our room and we found ourselves walking among a floor with broken rooms , it felt like a Walking dead set! Lol but nothing too serious we had a good laugh about it. Overall a nice comfortable stay 20 minutes from the city center. Thank you! :)

Definitely not four stars, extremely underwhelming room and bathroom. Building is historic and not modernized much. Did have a nice sauna, but not much for a fitness center. Parking is a bit of a pain. Staff were very friendly. Location is OK, but not necessarily convenient for sightseeing.

I have never seen a hotel where you can hear so much outside noise. There is constant noise from neighboring rooms and from outside. There is construction right next to the hotel and the construction equipment starts working at 8:00 in the morning. It is not a suitable location for touristic visits. It would be more reasonable to choose a hotel south of the city center.

Nice hotel close to the town centre. We stayed a couple of nights. Employees are very kind. Good level of international breakfast . Price ok compared with the offer
Riccardo P — Google review
Pros: close enough to the action & metro and great restaurants/cafes. Cons: service can be improved. While check in and check out were generally fine, we purchased a water bottle and had to pay at reception where the night staff seemed to be inconvenienced to have to assist us with paying for a 6EUR water bottle. Everyone’s demeanor at this hotel is generally blah/borderline rude. Additionally I found the rooms fine enough but the 4th floor while a non smoking floor smelled like old smoke and the sheets were terribly rough. I also found the mattress stiff and not the most comfortable. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again but do like the area.

I needed to arrange flowers for my daughter’s birthday while she was abroad, and the hotel went above and beyond to assist me. Elizabeth, in particular, was incredibly helpful and quick to respond. She coordinated everything seamlessly, ensuring the flowers were delivered on time and made my daughter's day extra special. I highly recommend this hotel for their outstanding customer service and attention to detail. Thank you, Elizabeth, and the entire team!

Have some pros and cons when living at this hotel: Pros: The breakfast is in my opinion pretty good, although some other guests believe it to be unsatisfactory. I really like the different flavored yogurt, and I believe 24 euros is worth the money because things in Vienna are not cheap. Service is really hard to rate, because in other Austrian hotels rooms are cleaned once per day, yet here it is once per two days. Also somehow the room-cleaning service is really dissatisfactory, whoever cleaned my room just stepped into the shower area (which is fine), but afterwards somehow forget to clean the very dirty water. Note that the ones who clean the room do not speak English. However, the service at the breakfast and front-desk are really good and I am offered a very early check-in (8AM). I cannot complain about the location there, conveniently located within walking distance to U1 Nestroyplatz and U2 Taborstrasse. Going to Wien Westbf also takes less than 25 minutes. I live at the ground floor, but the street is quiet and I believe it to be very safe. Major attractions also are within 2-3 metro stops. Generally a solid experience except for the room-cleaning service, the hotel definitely can do better on this. Would be exceptional if more USB charger can be added to the room and more facilities in the fitness area. Thank you!

Subway station
Stadtpark in Vienna is a picturesque spot, featuring the iconic golden Johann Strauss memorial and several other monuments and sculptures. It's known for being the richest park in Vienna for its collection of statues, including those of Franz Schubert, Franz Lehar, Robert Stolz, Hans Makart, Anton Bruckner, and Andreas Zelinka. Visitors can spend a leisurely day here feeding ducks by the pond or enjoying coffee from Espresso Mobil.
I really love this station, it's location is not the most useful, being relatively close to other better connected u-bahn stations. But it's setting is perfect, sitting just inside Stadtpark it feels urban and clean and open. Otto Wagner's pavilion as an entry gate works perfectly in the setting.

Stumbled upon this park on my way to the theatre, it is beautiful, so calm yet lots of people just vibing

A beautiful park in Vienna, among many others! Don't miss the golden statue of Johan Strauss, especially at sunset.

Cozy park for a nice stroll on a beautiful day. In summer the park comes to life with special events . Nice little ponds and beer gartens. Don't skip the opportunity for an apfelstrudel with icecream or a slice of sacher torte.

While driving through in the subway - if you have the time - get out here and walk around the station. The combination of Wienfluss, Stadtpark and the stations historic architecture make for a great photo scenery ;)

Its a great experience to ride the metro here. It was in front of Inter Continental Wien.
