Fun things to do in Limassol City: 26 fun attractions and activities

Small but interesting place, where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria and crowned her Queen of England in 1191 apparently (the only British royal wedding taking place abroad so far). The entrance fee is 4,5 euros I believe and it’s worth it. Not really for the views after climbing to the top, but mainly for the little exposition they have going on. Not wheelchair accessible. Highly recommended, you’ll spend maybe 20 minutes here.

A bit less than what I would expect considering the history behind the place, the ticket cost 4.5€. You can walk around it and inside in 3/4 different levels with a bunch of stuff showing from different époques. Would recommend to go early in the day and be careful with hours, should be open from 9 to 17 but I found it close at 16:30 once. It takes 20/30 min. No wheelchair accessible.

Limassol Medieval Castle was built in the 13th century on the site of an earlier Byzantine castle. It is the town's most popular attraction because according to fame the castle stands on the site where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England in 1191. Cells in the basement were used as prison until 1950. I’ve enjoyed the visit.

Fascinating place,we visited on a Sunday when Limassol was quiet and we went to pay but where told it was free of charge that day. Spent around an hour looking at all artefacts found close by from excavation or replicas that depict things from the time. Really fascinating to see everything from weapons to coins to plates. Well worth a look if you're in Limassol old town.

The Castle and Church has an amazing history and a brilliant museum. All the artifacts are beautifully displayed. The Castle is in the old port of Limassol and is definitely worth a visit. The surrounding old town has lots of beautiful architecture with lovely restaurants.

Tickets are cheap $4.50, its in a cool area of town. Worth a stop by even for 30 mins, the castle is out of the heat and is interesting historically. I would not recommend making a day out of it, but the area is great, price cheap, and history interesting.

To be honest I was a little underwhelmed. There was much less than what I would have expected (particularly given 4.5€ entry). Inside, there are 4 different levels with various stuff showing from different époques. There is not a huge amount to see - it took about 30 - 45 minutes.

This place is a tresure trove of the past. Completley free way to while away hours and hours. I could look at this ancient art work and property for a lifetime . Theres soo much to see. The layout od a little dated and the placards that indicate what ever the items are leave a lot to be desired. The whole collection needs geo tagging and barcoding so we can see and read where what and how these items where used and by who. Just a thought. Great job limasol and cyprus though. I think its time you got back all the Cyprus antiquities.

I am surprised one review called it 'modest'. This is a pretty good archaeological museum covering all the main phases from archaic to the early period of Christianisation. Labelling could be a bit better but don't miss it!

The first impression I had was that it was free of charge when we visited, maybe because it was out of season. It is a small museum, but well maintained. The garden in front was beautiful, and there is good access for people with disabilities. Most of the artefacts were pottery. It was interesting to see so many small artefacts from Egypt, like scarabs and julery. The informational signs were detailed and you can learn a lot about the region.

Free entry, large exhibition & friendly staff. Well kept grounds are easy to access, including facilities for wheelchairs like lift, wc & ramps.

I don't get ppl who come only to lay lazy and take subaths. It's so interesting to look back at the ancient cultural background of Cyprus. The only thing missing is the earphones with the digital guide. The museum is quite small but charming let alone to say it's free of charge.

Super interesting museum with artifacts ranging from the Neolithic until the early Christian period. Staff was very nice, welcoming, and fluent in English for any tourists who do not speak Greek. Definitely worth a visit!

Small museum, but rich in artefacts. There was a special exhibition about the ancient town of Amathus, the ruins of which are found near Limassol. The exhibition was very interesting, with many explanations in English and Greek language about the objects and about the history of the ancient Amathus.

I've had a nice experience, but the zoo was smaller than I expected. Fortunately, it didn't affect my visiting. Despite being tiny compared to other zoos, the diversitiy of animals was really good - monkeys, cows, ducks, geese, patagonian maras (type of rodent), meerkats, hippos, kangaroos, owls, turtles and deers. Worth visiting if you live close by or if you don't know what to do in Limassol.

A very cozy and nice place to relax and have pleasant emotions. This place should not be compared with large zoos, Limassol Zoo is beautiful in its own way. There are few people here, it is cozy, clean, calm. I am impressed by the Patagonian Mara, a very original animal, I suppose that nature created it from a child's imagination. )))

It's not a bad zoo. It's just very small. The entry fee is also based on that fact which I appreciate (5 euros per adult). I find this price very reasonable considering the selection of animals in there. there is a small shop inside to buy water, ice cream etc.

I'm not a big fan of zoos, but our kids love this place. Their favorite ones are the snakes, my personal favorite are the meerkats. There is also a nice playground, where we go after visiting all the animals. Even though it's not very big, it's fun enough to keep the kids busy for a while )

The Zoo is small and I can imagine the living conditions for some of this animals are very poor, especially for "winter" animals which have to deal with scorching Cyprian sun. It's a nice place to visit and spend an hour or two but they should improve on the animal habitats.

I do not recommend visiting Limassol Zoo. The animals are kept in very small enclosures, with visible droppings in some areas. The aquarium is tiny, and some animals show clear signs of stress. This place should not be called a zoo – it is sad to see animals suffering in such conditions.

They are kept and in way too small enclosures and the Pelicans and Flamingos are kept in enclosure without no roof - Why do they not fly away? Probably because their wings have been chipped! A beautiful and spacious park filled with lovely plants and trees. There are also great play areas for kids. It’s perfect for a peaceful and enjoyable walk!

We came to the gardens for an event but arrived early so had a look around. We were pleasantly surprised as had heard some negative things. We enjoyed the drinks at the café. There were lots of drinks we had not seen before. It was very reasonably priced. It was lovely to see kids and families out together and mixing. We live in Paphos but would come again for sure. We parked on the street nearby.

Limassol Municipal Gardens is a lovely green escape in the city, with a nice playground for kids, a small zoo, and plenty of shady paths. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the cultural festivals held here from time to time, which add to its lively atmosphere.

Pretty small and not a great selection of animals although the others are great fun to watch! Took about an hour to take a steady walk round in the heat. It is cheap but i would save your money and visit Paphos zoo as there's are many more animals, shows etc.

If you ever get the chance to go to the wine festival, do it. It was amazing. Food, wine (€2▪︎50 for a glass you get to keep plus you get to fill it with free wine)🍷 😉

There are many animals in this zoo. And it is a slave worth visiting. But they don't take care payment. So I had to wander along to the closest ATM to get cash. And even if the animals were cool to watch, it's hard for me as a parent to answer my kids what kind of animals are where when there are no explanation anywhere in any language.

Perfect place to spend nice afternoon with kids. Newly renovated with lots of animals. Park starts with birds, monkeys, deers, lamas and finishing with domestic animals, like bulls, roosters and goats. There is section with snakes and lizards too. In the middle is small coffee place to have some refreshment. Overall nice experience, entrance 5E is ok.

I've been to several escape rooms; honestly, this was the worst one yet. Even though the puzzles were quite good and well done, the atmosphere and fun were utterly ruined by the millions of unwanted clues from the staff. There should be a button for asking for clues. Another disappointment was the decorations, but the most confusing were elements that did nothing—a key or a padlock leading to nothing.

We reserved a room for 12:50, arrived early, and were told to wait until 13:30. While we didn’t mind, it would’ve been nice to know in advance. The staff were polite, but the experience playing La Casa de Papel was very disappointing. We spent so much time searching for a green key,that they told us , only to be told later that it was lost by a previous kids party. This completely ruined the final stage of the game, leaving us frustrated and upset, as it’s the whole point of an escape game.

Hello, I’m reaching out as a client regarding my experience today. Our session was supposed to start at 12:50, but there was a delay, and it didn’t begin on time. On top of that, the game had to be paused because they lost the key which further disrupted our experience.

Everything was as it should be the kids had fun. I'd definitely choose it to have a kids party. One star down for no free parking space near by.

Amazing for adults or kids, they have various levels of difficulty so there's a room for everybody.

As a "petrol head", I must say this was a magnificent experience visiting this place! It's an exciting collection of cars.But it's not just about the cars. There are many industrial engines, tractors, retro communication devices, heritage racing items, even sawing machines... The only negative is that there's no Aircon inside. That aside it's worth the sweat! The lady at the reception was very kind too!

Amazing collection of cars! Spent about an hour here and the staff were very friendly, offering us drinks on the way out. Definitely worth visiting if staying near Limassol and have any interest in old and rare cars.

It was wonderful! The host was so sweet! She offered us lemonade, water, tea and coffee. Inside the museum there isn't Aircon! The host told us that if we need a break we can come back to the entrance (there I air-conditioning their) and drink something. This is an amazing museum! Really recommend it!

We rented the iconic chicken bus from the Motor Museum in Limassol to take the bride and her friends to the church, and it was one of the highlights of our wedding day! The bus was full of charm, beautifully maintained, and added such a fun, unique touch to the celebration. It created a joyful atmosphere — everyone was smiling, waving, and snapping photos along the way. A special thank you to our driver, who was absolutely amazing! He was patient, friendly, fun, and made everyone feel safe and relaxed throughout the ride. His energy and professionalism made the experience even more enjoyable. Fabulous collection. Lots of well preserved cars that can all still be driven A bit crowded in. But I hear they are looking for bigger premises as the collection is growing. Very well recommended

One of a kind, pure enjoy for a minimum hour. Many displays of retro parts, many rare cars and other vehicles.

I visited the museum with my two best friends — all of us passionate about cars, and one of us especially into Formula 1 and racing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and warm. One staff member was especially thrilled to see three young women so enthusiastic about cars and racing. She shared with us that the owner of the museum was actually a racer himself, which was such a cool and surprising detail! The tour itself was fantastic and took longer than we expected — in the best way possible. We were completely immersed in the experience. After the tour, we headed to the café to enjoy our complimentary drinks (included with the ticket). The same staff member came over again and, to our amazement, introduced us to the owner — the racer she had mentioned earlier! He was so kind and excited to meet us. He even showed us his personal photos and trophies and gifted us small presents at the end of our visit. It was truly a special and inspiring experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves cars, racing, or just a genuinely memorable outing.

Beautiful chapel we walked in and it is absolutely stunning. There was a service going on and it was just outstanding. It’s worth the stop when you are in the area. A step into the past

Beautiful church. Limassol’s Ayiou Andreou Street stretches along the towns sea front, providing a pleasurable walk along the ‘Molos’ area; an eye catching seaside park that stretches from the old port to the Limassol Zoo with direct access to the numerous restaurants, shops and cafes available for down time. The Limassol landmark built at the end of the 19th century, upon the ruins of an older Byzantine church. Although it carries the same name as the busiest and most well-known tourist districts of the island (Ayia Napa), the church has no relation to the town of Ayia Napa itself.

The Cathedral was beautiful to look at from the outside and had a nice area outside with mint and other plants. Inside of the Church was very ornate and had some very impressive painting on some if the walls and ceiling. Not 5 star because at the time couldn't go very far inside the Church, Just the entry hall.

A rather small place, but with some interesting exhibits about Cypriot clothing and ways of life. There is not much in terms of explanation of the exhibits or historical background. It's nice for a quick glimpse at the recent past, and not too expensive (2€ at the time of writing this).

Unfortunately, I faced a terrible service today calling to book a Birthday Party to my son . The man today was very rude and was even shouting at me that we can’t come without parents of every kid, I understand, it’s the matter of safety, I didn’t argue. But why should I face rudeness and shouting.🥹 We used to celebrate kids birthdays every year in this place , and I’m sure it’s just an employee issue. Hope it will be covered and will never happen to any other guest and kid.

Great place for families with kids, for a nice family afternoon or weekend mornings. They facilitate birthday parties for kids. The playground is great and they have both indoors and outdoors facilities. A large variety of activities for kids to chose from. It's fit for kids of 3+ all the way up to 8-10. Older kids would probably not feel in their space as it fits younger children better. Adults enter for free while kids pay 7,50. Some of the attractions are paid separately by purchasing gold coins which cost 0.50/coin. Bungee jumping, obstacle course and bumber cars are paid separately with the purchased coins. There's is a large menu to chose from for both children and adults. There are care takers to watch the kids where necessary. The place has slides, obstacle course, bumper cars, trampolines, inflatable castle/octopus, an outdoor mini football field with a basketball hoop, some more trampolines 🤣 parents can kick back while kids spend their energy. Recommended!

It's nice and well organized ,but the waiter sticking the pos in my face like a begger saying "tip ma'am , tip " was horrible...besides that ,their tip starts from 10% ... I have been to better places with tips starting at 2%..our bill was twenty something euros and you expect a 10% tip ..???? No, never again....I'm not tipping again in this place ..

Really good bar massive play place a 3 and under bit the works played with the kids ask if they were all right a fom ball cannon . Obstacle corse for4 tokens 1 tokens= car and motorbike go there so good

Its alovely place to leave your children to go and play and u sit and relax. The food is also very good with lovely drinks. Most if the staff are friendly. But saturday sundays over crowded. Best to go on weekdays!

Nice for the kids but not many games. And what's disappointing is that you have to pay extra to use the little cars for the kids and the games where they sit... You have to bring socks for the kids and for yourself if you want to go in and play with your kid.

We stayed in Cyprus on holiday for eleven nights, hired a car and travelled extensively. However, Lady's Mile Beach remains one of our best-remembered places! Such places fascinate me. The long, shallow, uncrowded beach stretches for miles and there is a large salt lake just inland. The whole place has an "out-on-a-limb" feel. It was well worth the drive from miles away where we were staying in Ayia Napa.

I found out afterwards that the beach is under British control and not officially part of Cyprus - pretty interesting. It was very peaceful here in mid-september, and the water was still warm.

Very nice and calm beach that stretches until the horizon. Beach is shallow and perfect also for kids and families. Only downside is the road, wimhich is very bumpy and should be driven with caution, especially if you have a rental car! Along the beach are several beach bars which offer food, sunbeds and facilities sich as showers and toilets. Great way to relax and escape the urban environment of Limassol.

An awesome family destination! Plenty of bed rentals. Water playground for kids. Gentle waves and current. The restaurants are great too ❤️

A very nice and cosy place on Cyprus. Not too many people during weekend, tasty food and cocktails.

Most underated place in the area - very beautiful beach, especially for sunrise walk as the sun rises right in front of it. Really amazing!!! You can park your car 20 meters from the beach. Few sunbed and food options during day and night, calm water for a swim. Highly recommended, better than the busy Limassol area.

Best beach in Limassol. The water is usually on the cool side but always clean. There are beach bars to choose from but you can also take your own things and sit away from too many people. The access road doesn't have asphalt so you have to drive slowly and carefully to get there. Also you get to choose from spots with lots of sand or with fine or big pebbles.

Can’t really get the idea of the park. Just to have small park for kids it’s alright. It’s like safety rules in the airplane, take care of yourself first. Exercising area is just awful, even for the kids. Pros: there is a toilet (for disabled people exists, but not available). The third star in ranking is just for location on the hill.

Great fun for the kids (above 3). Lots of seasonal events too. There's a restaurant serving limited hot food, snacks and drinks. Cheap day out. You can also park at the bottom of the path and walk up. Takes about 15-20 minutes. Great to wear the kids out a bit.

Something strange. Cacti were nice, but it's better to visit mountains or troodos trails to see nature :)

Did not like it so much, looks kind of abandoned and not many options for children to play. Of course the park itself is nice if you like walking but children might not appreciate it the same way as you. Keep that in mind. Did not had anything to eat there, just a coffee Some people make birthday parties for their children there, make sure you bring entertainment with you. Update May 2022 Some people visited the place and it seems like they made some improvements and it is actually very nice now. Will give it another shot and update my review again.

Been here many times and I would highly recommend it. It can get a bit too busy and you may have to wait a fairly long time to get served if you use one of the seating restaurants. However, you get free wine and you can get to taste the greek cypriot cuisine. Regga, ppalouze, souvlakia, halloumi and more are served here catering for different tastes. There are shows too, depending on the day you visit. Can be comedy or dancing. You can also get to see how the old generation used to produce wine. By stepping on the grapes. Literally

Should mention this is only on during selective dates through the summer (usually late august to early september, if in doubt look it up). Along with wine tasting, explore the stalls with food and souvenirs, and if you're feeling brave enough, join the cyprus dancing in the crushing of the grapes in the large barrel. There are also traditional kebabs and places to sit, Limassol history boards, live cyprus music and one of my personal favourites, "loukoumades" which are fried honeyballs (although I recommend using the toothpick given as they can get quite sticky 🙂). My friends from the UK loved it when they visited and want to go again sometime 😊 Highly recommend it if you're visiting Limassol 👍

It was nice and there was free wine tasting. I was expecing it a bit more organised and bigger.

This event could have become a pearl of the social and touristic life in Limassol but is a pure shame instead, with its scantiness and poor organization… I love Cyprus local wine but don’t attend the «festival» since I did a couple of times in the past and was fully disappointed.

I hosted my daughter’s birthday at Masterland and everything was perfect! Let me start with Maria, who is the manager at the venue and did everything possible to make sure everything was perfect!!! The facilities were amazing, and we did many activities: firefighting, feeding the animals, visiting the dentist, playing police, and making cookies. The princesses were so great with the kids, they were thrilled with them. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Thank you for everything!!!! You made our birthday magical and unforgettable!

We celebrated two birthdays for my daughter at MasterLand, and everything was wonderfully organised—from the food and decorations to the activities for the kids. The manager, Maria, was incredibly helpful at every stage, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free for us as parents. The entertainment was excellent, and our children were absolutely delighted. A big thank you to the entire team for your fantastic work and for making the day so special and enjoyable for everyone!

We had a lucky chance to celebrate our daughter’s birthday party at this amazing place! It was her 6th birthday, so, we tried a lot before ☺️ We had a Frozen party, Harry Potter Party and etc., and it was difficult for my kids to choose what they really want for this time. And despite of the fact that we came at “last minute”, the guys really surprised us by making a wonderful, amazing “Wednesday” party for my kids! Fascinating decorations, delicious food and beverages for adults and special menu for kids! An outstanding entertainment service and I can say now that Masterland is a little paradise island, where parents can rest in the knowledge that their children are having fun in a safe and secure environment with fresh home food. Their professional team of entertainers offer a range of educational and fun activities for different age children. Well, I must say that having you guys here, in Cyprus, make me feel extra happy and safe for my kids. I also appreciated a kind and very warm, family atmosphere in the club. Thank you guys! We celebrating our daughter's birthday this weekend at Masterland and were very happy. The staff did everything possible to ensure the kids had a great time. They were friendly and professional, and the kids enjoyed very much. Highly recommend celebrating a birthday here.

Best place for kids in Limassol, all various activities and theme shops for different occupations. Some slides for the little kids and nice snack and coffee place. Good place to spend a day with your kids.

The best and the only birthday venue you need for your child! Endless attractions for the little ones that are available and many included in your price. The outdoor facility is amazing with so many things to do and now we even got to feed their chickens and rabbits which the kids absolutely loved! The food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and always alert to our guests so everyone was happy. Would definitely recommend it and of course next party will be there again...

A beautiful Catholic Church with very welcoming people. It's the only Catholic Church in Limassol and has a variety of masses to serve the different needs of expats. I was lucky to find it

This Catholic Church in Limassol, Cyprus is amazing! I attended my usual Sunday Mass here (as I was on holiday) and the whole atmosphere and mass was truly outstanding. From the organ playing, to the priest and the kind church workers. It was lovely to see a whole community gathered together to celebrate mass. The church is clearly well kept and cared for. Highly recommend this Catholic Church!

A must visit museum. Don’t miss out on this well organised museum with its beautiful and historical theatrical costume displays and many more to see. Drawbacks are firstly there is no coffee shop to grab a bite or a bottle of water and secondly only cash payments are accepted.

Its an ok place to have a small event. Central location. Not very clean in my opinion and equipment can be renewed as some key things as display boards are extremely old!

In this place is the Cyprus Theatre Museum. I recommend visit it. The exhibition is very good. The thematic section of the museum are : the history, the contributors, the performance.

The Cyprus Theatre Museum is also known by the name Municipal Cultural Centre Panos Solomonidis derived from the namesake business man who donated this place to Limassol’s municipality for cultural purposes.

A small but wonderfully kept museum. Lots of beautiful costumes and even some costumes to try on - a wonderful place to spend an hour.

Small space for events with no amenities to offer

Decent public beach, but it is not very wide from the road to the water. Very easily accessible, but it also means you are very close to the car traffic so not very peaceful. The sand is dark but the water is very clear, especially if you go out further like swimming off the pier. TIP: Check out the pier further east. Changerooms/washrooms further west.

The park was recently renovated,one of the best playgrounds in Limassol. Great plase to spend time with the kids, WiFi available and kiosk that offer's snaks and drinks. Also possibly to rent a space here for B-day 🎉.

The food is average but fine for the purpose of a snackbar in a park, would be great if they added some simple veg (cucumber/carrot) to the kids’ meals. Great place for kids . We come here very often and we find it very convenient and relaxing for the parents as well as it’s fun for the children. A place where you don’t have to worry about your child getting hurt or worry about danger. What is more concerning is, once you drop your kid at the play area, you can go grab something to eat or drink from the next door food stores and watch your kid playing while you enjoy your meal. Wonderful ladies here are very kind and generous, they will watch after your kids all the time . Clean place , clean toilets , clean floor and tables. Appreciate this place and well done team !

Our daughter loved visiting Agora Playlounge! It was an excellent, well-structured space, quiet on a weekday. There were so many activities to keep my toddler engaged. We also enjoyed snacking at the mini tables and reading a couple of books together. Highly recommend for a fun time with your little ones!

I remember when this first opened and was new and shiny (and stylish). A few years later it looks quite worn out and as if it needs some care and attention. Please look after your space better, replace the broken toys, fix whatever can be fixed and clean it better as 8 euros per child is not cheap but if the place looks well cared for is absolutely worth spending.

Nice new large place for kids to play and parents to sit nearby although there could be more chairs. Very well air conditioned. Minor damage on the various protective padding seem to be checked and repaired quickly. 8 euros for 2 hours adds up quickly if you have multiple kids, plus paid parking nearby. The place has been left to wear and tear — the games are worn out, the ball pit has very few balls left, and many other toys are missing. It used to be a lovely place for kids, but not anymore. We had our son’s first birthday at Puzzles and it was AMAZING! Everything was so beautifully decorated, detailed to perfection that not only we enjoyed it but also our son seemed to love it and his mascot (the theme was Mickey) so much! The staff was very attentive and made sure our kids where safe the entire time! Our adult guests were very impressed, we received so many compliments! We loved it so much that we have already decided that we are having his second birthday there as well!!

Great indoor playground for young children. There's also a space where smaller toddlers could be separated, but without any closing door. Would recomment to keep the children's number below 20 as it is not quite so big and there's injury hazzards if overcrowded. Still there is always a staff member acompaning the children. The place is only available for parties and an early booking is highly recommented. I really liked the way they regulate the timeline of the party and the food was also great!

It is such a shame there are not more green area's in Limassol. The Municipal park is a large open space with a small much improved zoo. It has been Limassol's main park since colonial times and has mature trees and a small ampitheatre. There are shaded area's and various playgrounds. Some of the playground equipment is severely dated . I give 5 stars sentimentally in reality, if there were more parks to choose from it would probably be 4. As I child, I used to go with my Yiaya and now I take my child there. However, this city is desperate for more such spaces.

Both of my children have learned to swim with confidence and, most importantly, they now understand water safety, whether they’re at the beach or in a pool. It gives me such peace of mind knowing they know what to do around water. The lessons are always well-organized, and the environment is clean and welcoming. My kids feel so comfortable and excited to go every week. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a caring and professional swimming place, this is the place to go!
