We didn't exactly know what to expect showing up on a rainy day. Parking was a little strange but you can just park in the little tree cutouts after the front gate. We enjoyed following the sandy trails on the map provided at the front gate. I remember something said that the steep staircase that connects to the beach was once used by pirates and smugglers of contraband a long time ago. The trails are almost completely covered by trees so they're shaded even on a sunny day and every now and then you can find some wildlife, exhibits, art, or scenic views. We were able to see some massive turtles swimming in the ocean from up there. If you want to see dolphins, I was told they mostly hang out around that area early in the morning and I can confirm they were there beneath those cliffs a few days later when we did a boat tour early in the morning. I recommend spending a couple hours walking the trails and exploring and not rushing through. Take some time to feel the rushing breeze and enjoy the view. If you're quiet, you may see some cool wildlife too!

Highly recommended. If walking from Pipa be aware it is a good 25 minute walk from the town centre along the road. Perhaps better to take a taxi here if coming after morning when it starts to heat up.

This nature reserve is definitely worth a visit. We saw lots of little monkeys. The monkeys were really cute and came quite close. It gets nice and cool among the trees and there are some great views of the beaches below. This is a great activity choice for anyone who loves nature and physical activity. The views are stunning and you can observe turtles and dolphins. Nice Trails. Visit. ****

Although not much in terms of wildlife, the nature treks were pleasant and along the paths there were lots of opportunities for great photos of the bays below! It was also interesting to observe the shells and facts about the turtles! One of the paths lead you, via steep steps, to the beautiful Madeiros beach!
