Absolutely recommend! The staff is friendly, and every time you enter or leave, the lobby smells amazing!! The hotel has a lovely Italian vibe throughout, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great, especially if you enjoy sweet Italian options, there’s plenty to choose from. The location is also excellent and easy to find. You can park right in front of the hotel, we recommend using EasyPark so you can easily adjust the duration if needed. All in all, a very pleasant stay, would definitely come back!

A really nice hotel with great staff and lovely rooms. The one MAJOR issue is that the rooftop terrace doesn’t have a single square millimetre of shade, which makes it and the pool completely unusable during the day in summer. I found this quite bizarre and I’ve never seen a hotel pool like it. This is the only reason I can’t give it five stars.

It's a lovely place with a classy, personal feel. Despite the name, it's a proper hotel. Lots of paid parking right next door and a short walk into the middle of Trapani. Breakfast great, people/service great.

We have recently visited this hotel the location was perfect the weather was perfect we, hire a boat had a boat tour, we drove 4x4 buggy’s through the mountains on a guided tour it really was a special holiday. We are English so was quite hard with communication but the lady behind the desk Loredana was absolutely amazing I proposed to my fiancé she sorted the location the taxi there and back she was really helpful. The hotel it self was stunning. Great holiday strongly recommend this hotel

We had a great stay. Very well located near the old city with parking near by. Friendly staff. Great rooms. Good breakfast. Elevator if you do not want to climb the stairs.

Great location, good-sized rooms and bathroom. Very clean, helpful staff, and lovely, attentive service at breakfast. Reception staff very helpful. Cleaning staff on point. The only thing we can see to improve is the variety at breakfast, in particular, the fruit and hot food.

Rooms are not as nice as the pictures. Very strong fragranced smell. If you’re someone who doesn’t like intense perfume I would stay elsewhere. Fine for a night but advertising as a 4-star hotel is extremely generous

We had a pleasant stay for four days. The hotel is a nice combination of the classic traditional style of the old Crystal, combined with the modern and comfortable design of the B&B hotels. The paid breakfast was also good. Receptionists were kind and helpful, as well as the housekeeping & buffet staff.

Very welcoming hotel. Good English speaking staff. Spacious and clean rooms, jumbo bed and great breakfast. Located in a quiet area, although it is just opposite the train station, which is not busy at all. Not far off from the city centre by walk. Minor maintenance is recommended in the bathroom.

Pros: Good location, just a stone's throw from the city centre. Cons: Dirty walls and carpet. Old-fashioned bathroom with a leaking sink pipe connector. A king-sized bed made out of two single bed frames is not acceptable for a 4-star hotel. No much privacy in the room - unless you draw the curtains - due to the hotel being surrounded by buildings. Breakfast seemed good and broad in terms of food offered, but the scrambled eggs were awful.

Apart from being close to train station and bus station, having great breakfast and nice personnel that tries to satisfy the guest needs I would avoid this hotel. There are much better accomodation options for same price and more central. It looks dirty and old not well maintained only improper make up has been done with cheap materials and part of old interior maintaned. It needs though renovation.First we had other room which didnt have water and we barely got another one kind of upgrade. But in reality nothing special compared to previous one. The airconditioning blows directly into your head it didnt have central one, but a separate unit.Moulder in the bathroom everything is done with poor quality materials and visible failures. The plumbing is very bad the shower cabin gets flooded you step into whoknows whose dirt from before.

Receptionist named Martina was very kind and servicial. Clean and big bedrooms. breakfast was delicious.

Booked a cheap 3 day stay here based on the reviews and the hotel’s own website. We had a great time but can’t help feeling that the hotel is not as great as everyone seems to say it is. Nice people run it but the bar is never open (it took me 30 minutes to persuade the guy on the front desk to make me a gin and tonic and even then he didn’t know what that was). He said he was too busy to man the bar too. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work and they made no effort to fix it when we complained. There is zero outside space for guests (except for a couple of plastic chairs on the pavement outside). The hotel has no sea view, it’s mostly a view of a huge car park and the town square. There is no guide to the hotels amenities in the room, no WiFi either as far as we could tell ( but we have 4G anyway) so it’s not possible to cast to the nice Samsung TV to avoid the local channels. Trapani has no significant beach scene - there is one beach club that, according to the front desk, has no association with the hotel whatsoever (despite what it says on their website). The public beach is smothered in tons of dried seaweed and mostly unuseable. During our stay there was a bizarre horse show taking place which dominated the seafront. At night we were kept awake by the staff reorganising the restaurant until .c.11pm. We felt compelled to go to bed early as there isn’t much to do in this town after sunset. However, all the local cafes and ristorante are lovely, and walking through the old town is great. No chain shops and everything is pretty authentic with some nice little bars. So the town is quiet and this hotel is average and could be much nicer if they had a barman and fewer coach parties. It’s not all doom and gloom, they stock up the little fridge in your room (but we had no idea if that was complimentary or not) and we got a bottle of fizzy wine on arrival. Our room was spotless and very spacious. It had a separate lounge but it only contained a small sofa and you couldn’t see the TV. Stay here if you get a good deal as it’s a nice place to sleep. Breakfast is patchy. No hot food is offered. Great coffee and cakes but the restaurant it soulless and a bit like a hospital canteen. As we were a random couple we were simply plonked in a corner by the fire extinguishers whilst we dined in rock solid bread rolls and good coffee.

Very comfortable hotel in central Trapani at the border of the old and new town quarters. The room and bed were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The A/C wall unit worked very well. The hotel has elevators. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked with hot and cold food items. Friendly servers bring coffee and any extras one may desire.

Very nice and helpful staff. Parking in front is perfect although paid but using good phone app that is used everywhere in the city. Clean stylish room. Quiet. Minutes to walk to the city which is amazing in the evenings. Close to drive to must see Evice and salt fields.

Very good and comfortable place, perfect location in the heart of the city. There is a big parking in front of the hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy. The morning breakfast is satisfactory. The receptionists are very kind and helpful. They offered me to park freely my car in the private hotel garage because the parking in front of the hotel was unavailable due to a public religious celebration. The price is fair. Recommended.

Our stay started with an issue with the room not being as advertised. The issue was the usual blame the app you used. Anyway we agreed to stay on basis other room swap next day and then advised next day it was not available and should not have been told this. We agreed a 60 Euro discount for the room which was advertised with sea view. See pic. They also gave us a bottle of wine as a sorry. I was also able to park my car in their garage. If not there is a large car park opposite at 2.40 Euro per day. The hotel does look nice inside also. Anyway my wife and I got ill and where bed ridden for 2 days new design a doctor (nothing connected to the hotel). The staff did become genuinely concerned taking things to our room and assistants got us with food orders and taking up breakfast as I was to I’ll to go down so I was very pleased and impressed by this. Hotel Vittoria is situated close to the beach and on the really nice and spacious square (Vittorio Emmanuelle) and its a very good base for exploring Trapani. The room we chose was on the 5th floor with "roof view" but also possibility of viewing Erice. It also mean it was very quiet room, nicely fitted with very comfortable bed and enough storing space. The bathroom was clean but not very modern with very tiny shower but we enjoy the size and layout of the room. Breakfasts were good, not only croissants and coffee:) I liked the lobby with the paintings of american actors. The lady from the reception was really nice and helpful. We have good experience of whole staying.

Cute quiet hotel along a smaller street. Check in was smooth. Walking distance to everything you need. Tiny request - wished they had a kettle to use. Doesn’t need to be in each room but perhaps one to borrow as needed.

Modern and contemporary hotel with nice bathroom and bedroom. It was very clean, however we did see mold in the shower. You are able to hear the neighbors, we heard the toilets flushing and it woke my girlfriend up. Location was nice, not far of a walk from the old town. parking can be a bit difficult to find. We did park on the street since it was cheaper than using the hotel valet. Breakfast was included but we didn’t try it. The area where the breakfast is served is very cute.

Beautiful hotel and in a great location. Close to the port (less than a 5 min walk), car rentals and the centre. We loved our stay here as the breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of variety, the rooms are clean, and the staff is so pleasant. The only con, which is minor, is that we were given a connecting room. The door was locked but you could hear everything from the other room. We could have asked for another room, but we didn't want to go through the hassle as we had already started unpacking. I would definitely stay here again. Trapani is beautiful.

The best part of the hotel is service. The two ladies (Valerie and Letizia) are courteous and helpful. Their English is sufficient for communication and they are mature enough to understand traveler’s and life issues. We had a superior (big) room which is clean, roomy and spotless. The hotel located in a quiet neighborhood, just five minutes away from bus stops (to Erice) and nice restaurants.

Loved this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The gentleman at the front desk when we arrived was awesome. Finding the location was a bit of a challenge, but if you can get close they have valet parking which we greatly appreciated.

A luxurious stay! The location is very central in Trapani, close to the historic center where you can shop and enjoy the cuisine of the wonderful Sicilian restaurants around. The sea view from the room was simply breathtaking! The room was very comfortable, beautifully equipped with kitchen items as well. The bed was also comfortable, the shower delightful! Breakfast was simply unmissable and the best we had during our entire trip in Sicily, after more than 20 days of traveling. The service from all the reception staff was very kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

I wouldn’t say it’s a 4-star hotel, more a 3-star. It’s got a nice character. Good size rooms. Surprisingly there’s a gym in the hotel but it’s in a very dark and enclosed space. Breakfast is on the rooftop with a really good view. Beware of birds and seagulls as they will snatch from your breakfast plate!

Very nice hotel, perfect location in the older part of town. The staff was so helpful and kind and the rooftop breakfast/bar (in the evening) has a stunning view! The only minus was that it said "free parking" on booking.com and there was no free parking but they helped us find one that cost 8 euro/day which was fine. So just something i be aware off!

Loved it here from the moment we were greeted by Andrea—very helpful with many recommendations. The breakfast chefs worked hard to provide a beautiful spread, and the room was huge large balconies overlooking the sea with sunset views.

This hotel offers a rooftop bar, phenomenal views of the ex mercato del pesce and the sea. The establishment was once a convent that has been converted to a hotel. Excellent staff and great location

This is one of the most beautiful hotels, especially rooms, that I have stayed with. The rooms are modern, look new and it all looks spotless. The staff is nice, location really good. The negative aspects that we have encountered were affecting our stay quite a bit though: - the bathroom in the room is separated with the glass, but you can still see a lot and hear nearly everything going on in there. So definitely an unpleasant experience when you don't stay with someone like your partner. - we were woken up at 8am by a scratching noise, I guess from some construction works (on Saturday morning nonetheless). - the bathroom tap doesn't seem to have a cold water, as the rather hot water came out of the tap regardless of the handle rotation, weird to refresh yourself in the morning with a hot water. - it was also pretty warm in the room during the night, to the point that we slept majority of the night without any cover (in December). The ventilation didn't seem to do anything. - and the most important "flaw" for us, was the price of the SPA access. 40€ per person per hour just to access the SPA (no extra services such as massage included in that price), sounds extortionate. Especially when the hotel is already on the higher pricing end of Trapani centre. I don't know why hotels (there are many that do this) brand themselves as SPA and then they charge such a high supplement for accessing SPA for their guests. We literally could find external SPA and stay there for 2 hours for the same price.

Very central 4 star hotel. Rooms were pleasant and spacious. Roof top was nice to sunbathe but the moulded recliners were pretty uncomfortable. Breakfast was basic but fine

Highly recommend I have stayed at Palazzo Gatto several times. Front desk staff is kind and helpful, eager to solve any problems. Beautiful rooms, great breakfast buffet, wonderful spa. Great deals on massage packages. Massage therapist Giusy has magic hands! I like the sea salt body scrubs, they leave my skin soft, supple and moisturized.

Our two stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic. Its proximity to numerous attractions and a short ride to the tram to Erice added to the overall convenience. The entire staff went above and beyond to provide exceptional service, displaying remarkable friendliness and helpfulness. The room exceeded our expectations, offering spaciousness uncommon in European standards, and the bed provided utmost comfort. Stayed here before. It's a nice modern hotel in centre of Trapani old town. Nicely decorated rooms with mood lighting and ceramic decoration. Good breakfast options.. italian style and friendly helpful staff.. we will return.

Reception staff was really helpful, they do a great job. Rooms can be improved overall. There was a sewage smell anytime we entered the room. Since we were below the rooftop bar there was constant table and chair dragging noise from above. One morning we woke up with a weird noise coming from the outer wall. Overall insulation could be better. Also almost everyday the elevator was out of service and a technical person was trying to fix it. We felt like we were staying in an airbnb rather than a 4 star hotel. Location is amazing right at the center, we never tried the breakfast.

The hotel was excellent! The location perfect in the historic center of Trapani! Appartment was very big and well decorated! The photos in their web are very real. Beds very comfortable ! Room very clean ! Staff very smily and helpfull. It was a very pleasant stay! Definitely we will come back!

i have to respond to the review of my predecessor. i am the very loud person sitting on the rooftop at the moment :) i was sitting on the rooftop moving my chair once to take a seat with my parents, no moving tables no moving chairs no terrible noises after 10pm :) just me sipping some whine and enjoying the great view! everything perfect! i recommend the hotel!

The hotel itself was good, the apartments are very spacious and you even have a kitchen and built in storage. The kitchen features a normal sized fridge! The bathroom is good as well. However, the main point was the location. The hotel is located very well and everything is in walking distance. The reception is also helpful if you have questions. A must visit is the rooftop bar of the hotel which has good drinks, delicious aperitivo and nice views.

We didn't stay here, but visited the rooftop bar of two separate evenings while staying in Trapani in August 2024. You don't have to be a resident to go there and it's a great place for an early evening drink, looking out over the rooftops. Nice cocktails and good service.

A beautiful hotel in Trapani. There’s a lot of restaurants nearby of all different types. The parking is far though and you have to call them 30 minutes before you want your car as the parking and they will bring it to you. If the parking was a little closer the parking service is amazing. On the other hand, it was very dirty under the beds and some lost items like a bracelet. The breakfast is good and the breakfast service also. They have bacon, omelets and sweet pastries to choose from. To drink there’s juice, water, coffee and tea. There are lots of shops nearby and a gods place to walk near the sea.

Hotel looks very nice but the acoustics is terrible, you could hear everything from the room next to yours. Spent 2 nights in this hotel and both nights I had to remind other people that are too loud.

Lovely hotel in terms of aesthetic, location and cleanliness. Guy on reception helpful explaining parking but other than that the staff barely interacted, even at breakfast. The breakfast I would not pay additionally for, there was a poor selection of offerings compared to anywhere else we had stayed in Sicily. We could not use the shower at full power because the shower door did not seal properly and therefore flooded the bathroom.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel which has been open only a few weeks. The room we had was average size but fantastic in its lighting and decor. Likewise the lobby. I have only marked it down because it hadn't quite found its feet yet. The bar needs to be opened properly and the reception staff need to be a bit more welcoming. That said, for the price I paid, €80 a night for a double, it was great value.

We couldn’t make out booking because our car broke down. We called them and asked for their sympathy and to refund the money, but they were not willing to cooperate at all.

Beautiful hotel. Sara helped me with checking in and she was lovely, so nice. The breakfast had a lot of options and the lady working it made a delicious cappuccino. Everyone I encountered was so friendly. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and room was spacious and had a lot of natural light. On the last night I was so tired, I decided to just stay at the hotel for dinner. The restaurant was amazing. They had a ravioli that was so memorable, I am still thinking of it a month later. Location was fantastic as well. No complaints.

From the moment we walked through the doors of Dimora Botteghelle, we felt completely relaxed. The hotel beautifully combines old-world charm with modern comforts, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. Our hostess, Sara, was absolutely wonderful. Even before we arrived, she went above and beyond by helping us arrange a taxi to our next destination and staying in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. When we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and offered us a refreshing drink and coffee — such a thoughtful touch. She gave us a tour of our suite, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. It featured a large sitting room with a sofa and table perfect for enjoying a morning tea, a generous bedroom with an additional sitting area and desk, and a well-appointed bathroom with a great shower. Breakfast was included and offered a variety of delicious options to start the day right before exploring Trapani. On our first night, we also dined at the on-site restaurant, and the food was outstanding — a definite highlight of our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Dimora Botteghelle to anyone visiting Trapani. Thank you, Sara, for making our stay so special!

Excellent restaurant! We had red prawn tartar, taponade, busiates of pesto and busiates of zucchini... Very good food. All the dishes were beyond the level we expencted. Applaudies to cooks, really! We also had Tiramisu made by the chef. No need to mention how good it was. We would definitely come back here if we come back to Trapani. Bravo!!

Fantastic hotel with super supportive staff! My husband and I booked a weekend stay at Dimora. However, when we landed in Sicily I tested positive for covid and had to go into a quarantine hotel. I got in touch with Guise and told her about my situation. She spoke to the staff at the quarantine hotel and told them what we needed during our stay. She rearranged our booking dates for when we left the quarantine hotel. We ended up staying for 5 nights at Dimora. The rooms are decorated with an Italian flair, clean, light and spacious. The bathroom is a lovely big size with a huge shower! Breakfast was really tasty, the fresh orange juice is a must. The hotel has a lovely smell and the best part is that is eco- friendly. Hot water was obtained by solar panels, locally produced ingredients at the restaurant and use of recycled materials. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Trapani or close by.

Superb! Are at the restaurant. Cocktails were excellent and very reasonably priced for the quality. Food was delicious. Had the mixed local antipasti and pork shank. Highly recommended.

I had the best stay at Dimora Boteghelle. The bedroom was perfect - beautiful, bright, spacious, comfortable and impeccably clean. The service was spectacular at all levels (breakfast, house cleaning, bar). Everybody was so welcoming, generous of their time and attentive. Highly recommend.

The inner stairwell area very stately and the lobby comfortable (albeit with worn furniture). Included breakfast was a morning joy with much attention from the host. Rooms are large and comfortable. Location is great.

Lovely hotel with clean rooms as depicted in photos on website and attentive staff. The location is nearby restaurants and bars. The hotel also has its own boat and does day trips for guests to Favignana and Levanzo islands (at extra charge and pending the weather as it is not a large ferry).

The hotel is charming old building, located mid in the old town, extremely convenient. The room we got was very large with so much space. The bed was comfortable and clean. I don't eat breakfast, but my Italian husband was very impressed with breakfast quality 👍🏻 We would recommend this place and will return.

This is an excellent hotel in heart of downtown Trapani. Here are a few pros and cons to consider before bookings your stay. Pros: Incredibile views (we booked a sea view room and fell asleep to the sound of the sea) Unbeatable location - and the fact that you can exit the building from both sides is super convenient Great breakfast - Ivan really took good care of us (there were 4 of us and we all needed gluten free food so he picked up prepackaged items, cut up fresh fruit, and offered yogurt) - excellent coffee too Parking - you’ll have to pay, but it’s close and you can use the EasyPark app to pay with a card and extend the time without having to keep running back to the car Cons: The only downside is that it’s an older building right on the shore, so there’s no way to avoid a little bit of visible wear inside the rooms - that said, the rooms were clean, so the wear didn’t seem too obvious

Very friendly welcome , the hotel localisation is very close from the center. Unfortunately the rooms are not matching our expectations, we have only one small window opening to the patio, can't keep it open due to the noise. We did select this hotel for the see view therfore our disappointment 😞

Beautiful neighborhood, luxurious and spacious rooms, beautifully decorated. Excellent service. Located in the heart of old town. There are cafes and restaurants nearby, and right across is the bay. Our room had a nice view of the quiet street. Note that the address is on the pedestrian-only road, but you can easily drive right next to the building from behind along the bay and park there. If you are driving, the best way to find the property is set your GPS for Via Dante Alighieri 30, Trapani, then enter the property through the back door.

Excellent place to stay in! The photos can be better, in reality the hotel is more beautiful and extremely well located. You can get a parking space with 50c an hour also, just 100 meters down the road. We got an apartment with two bedrooms, without see view, but we managed to get over that! We paid 75€ (December 30th) for a night, it's way cheeper if you book directly from their desk!

I usually don’t leave negative feedback as I prefer to forget bad experiences but our recent experience was so bad at this hotel that I have to provide advice for others. There were no positives except a pleasant reception person constrained by a poorly run establishment. Price point: we opted for a basic room as we had many activities planned and would not be at the hotel much. At€165 a night what we got doesn’t in any way match the price point. This is in no way a 4-star hotel and I a not sure how they obtained that rating. Location: It is across the road from a ghetto and beside an ugly smelly beach. It is so far from any decent cafes or restaurants that saying it is a short walk is deceptive. The room: Our room has a sliding door as the entry door that had a dodgy lock and every night I feared for my safety of being able to get out if there was a fire. The room was not a four star room and it was less than basic. The noise and light that came in under the sliding door from the hallway prevented any restful sleep. The waste bins under our window that were used in the early morning ensured an early start. The products provided and the inclusions were of the cheapest quality. The restaurant: We went to eat there and waited so long. The server told us it would just be a little longer and while we were waiting one of the servers and the cook had the loudest argument. I have never felt so uncomfortable or witnessed anything so unprofessional. In the day we arrived we ordered a pizza that turned out to be a frozen pizza heated up from the grumpiest barman we have encountered. He and the other staff clearly don’t like working there and it makes for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant stay. After this we didn’t bother using the hotel facilities or the pool and went out every day. TV/WIFI: The only option is to watch Italian TV. There are no cast or streaming options and no non-Italian channels. Wifi password was only available at reception. We asked about their leave early policy only to be told that we had to pay for the entire stay even if we left early. I would not recommend this hotel in any way and I have nothing positive to say. Bad location, unpleasant staff and poor quality.

Loved loved loved this hotel. Close to everything (couple minutes drive) plenty of parking. Nice beach, beautiful pool and lounge area. Room was small but clean and nice. Staff always available. Breakfast, lunch, bar and dinner available.

Rooms ok, breakfast limited, pool nice but can get very busy. Some staff friendly, but a lot, particularly restaurant and bar staff rude...seem inconvenienced to have to serve you

This hotel is located in the middle of two beaches with nothing around it. 15 min car ride to get to old town Trapani. There are 5 people working in the whole hotel, barely any English is spoke. We had two Rooms on the first floor and both rooms had ant infestation. No manager to speak to after two days of inquiring, they brought any traps to the room and fumigated the room with  chemicals while we were inside. No one offered us a new room, an upgrade or compensation. I spoke to the receptionist and she spoke to the manager and he offered me a cocktail which I declined, rooms are tiny and you can hear conversation from outside. ( no privacy) I have never encountered such poor customer service in a hotel. No security at the hotel random people walking in and around the beach hotel. I did not feel safe We got pool towels 1 day out of 3 and the other days they said they are not available Never been through such chaos and poor management in my life. From the outside it looks nice but beware!!!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room we received was a corner room with a breathtaking view directly of the sea, as well as a beautiful view of the mountain where the town of Erice is located. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was served buffet-style. One of the highlights was the ability to make fresh orange juice using the available juicer. The room was air-conditioned, which added to our comfort. Additionally, there was a large public parking lot near the hotel, and we always found a spot to park. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Beautiful hotel about 1.5km outside of the old town. The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff are really nice and attentive and the whole family enjoyed playing around the pool. There is also a nice sundeck over looking the ocean which provides the perfect setting to watch the sun set. Thank you all

An oasis of calm in a very lovely and busy city! The welcome and care from Alessandro was fantastic. He helped us so much, including with dinner and taxi reservations. The property itself is lovely and we were fascinated by its history in Agostino’s family. We would definitely return when we visit the area again.

From the minute we arrived we were welcomed into peace and tranquility. The rooms are large with excellent AC, everything you need is on hand at all times - helpful items like a steamer, conversion plugs, a small fridge. Large bathroom and powerful shower, beautiful indoor and outdoor areas for lounging and dining, large pool, there are also supermarkets and coffee shops within 5 minutes super convenient. From pre - arrival communication, making helpful recommendations and reservations - Agostino has access to all the best restaurants, contacts and activities in the area. We enjoyed a wonderful week a Giardini Mon Plaisir thanks to Agostino and his team’s hospitality. They took very good care of everything either with recommendations or just making sure my stay with my family was pleasant. We liked Trapani and the surroundings a lot and we will definitely consider coming back in the future. If we do so, we won’t hesitate to choose the same accommodation, where we had found the perfect hosts.

It's hard to put this hotel into words - it's just different than anywhere I've ever stayed. It beats any 5 star hotel I've stayed in easily. The hotel itself is beautifully restored and is genuinely a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. I couldn't believe how quiet it was by the pool, I haven't felt so relaxed in ages. The breakfast was fantastic - all fresh and local, with a daily savoury special that let us try a lot of traditional Trapanese food. The room was great, modern but with some touches of tradition. The AC was the best - not visible and so quiet. The bed was great and even the hairdryer was good which is very unusual for a hotel! It's a good walk to town but we did it a good few times and it was grand. It's about 30 minutes to the edge of the Centro Storico and probably another 15/20 to get to the other end. You can be at the beach in 25 minutes walking. The bus is really handy though, just around the corner and comes bang on time every time. Into town in 10 minutes for €1.20. And Uber is between €15 and €20. The benefit of being outside of town is that it's only a 10 minute walk to the cable car to Erice which meant we were able to visit it a few times and even go for dinner. It's such a beautiful town so being so close was a real bonus! Really though, the standout feature of this hotel is the people. Agostino, Alessandro and the whole team are fantastic. So friendly and genuinely interested in what you're doing and how they can help. We got lots of tips and advice from everyone and Agostino even booked most of our restaurants - all of which were excellent. We also did a wine tasting which was brilliant. They really just couldn't do enough for you. If I could transport the hotel and the team to everywhere I travel in the future I'd be happy!

It’s a nice building, conveniently located in the old town but the rooms' doors bang noisily. We woke up every time other guests went in and out. The walls are not soundproofing and also the frigo-bar is noisy. Impossible to sleep. The management should invest in new doors, acoustic panels (and remove the fridges).

Stayed for a week in peak July season and it really couldn't have been better value for money. We didn't opt for the breakfast but there was plenty to choose from what we saw at the breakfast spread. The room was exactly like the pictures and the air conditioning worked well. The location was absolutely ideal with it being a 10 minute walk to the port for the island tours, buses to Palermo, 15/20 min walk to the train station and it is right between the main historical streets and the local restaurants. The only downside was the shower - it is very small in the room we had and the hot water went twice. That said the staff were immediately able to fix it so it wasn't really a hardship. All in all I would definitely stay again if I'm ever in Trapani in the future. The bed was a bit too hard for my preference but my partner liked it.

Beautiful room, AMAZING service, very nice staff. Allowed us to keep our bags free of charge for over 8 hours because our flight departed at night but we checked out in the morning. Breakfast was ok, Wifi was amazing. Good cold water. For the price, absolutely amazing!

We stayed there for one day and night before leaving for Favignana. Simply a neat hostel. The father and son owners are very friendly and they are really taking care of their hosts. We learned a bit of italian with the father and the son speaks a perfect english (even a bit of french). The room was clean and we enjoyed the breakfast. They gave us amazing recommendations for lunch and diner. Great location in the core of Trapani’s port, but not too noisy, with plenty of great restaurants around (ferrys for the islands at less than 10 min by walking). In a nutshell, cheap price for that quality of service. I strongly recommend it.

Yes you are right about hotels and other rented apartments having keys or cards for the electricity to function. But they give you 2 keys so you can have constant air conditioning. Not one key which was unseperable from the 3 other door keys which were needed to get in. Maybe you need to check the air conditioning units or maybe remove the cages you have around them which make the apartment look like a prison so the air can flow free. There was no kettle or electric coffee maker in the apartment and you did not offer any like you did not offer an extra key so we could have a constant cool room. My review is fair and honest. I CANNOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. I don't understand how they have such good ratings everywhere. I feel like they are scamming people with all their old "Michelin Guide" stickers on their window, the newest one being from 2018...so quite old and the food clearly had no relation to the stickers. We went to eat here on our last night of our holiday, because of the cute terrace and the menu sounded good...but the food was so bad that it ruined our whole nights mood. The starters were fine, but the mains that we were really excited about where the worst we've had this year. We had the grilled king prawns, which cost 24€. Definitely over priced for a dish that had only 4 prawns and a piece of lemon on it. The price could've been forgive if the dish would've been good, but no. The prawns were raw and not cleaned, they all still had the gut that is full of feces. And because they were raw the taste was bad, and the texture was so gross that I could feel it on my tongue for the rest of the night. Our other main was the veal with the blueberry sauce, this one was 28€. The dish could've been tasty, but the plate was drowning in the blueberry sauce so you couldn't even see what you were supposed to be eating. All you could taste was the blueberry, even when we tried to scrape the sauce of, the veal was pointless on the plate because you couldn't only taste the sauce. We first tried really hard to stay positive and just eat the food we were given....but in the end we realized there's no point in paying almost 30€ per dish for such bad food, both dishes being so bad that we couldn't finish them. We told the waiter that the mains are so bad that we are not paying for them and they barely even apologized. We only paid for the starters (because they were okay) and left to eat a pizza in a different restaurant. They could've saved the situation with good customer service, but no, they just decided not to care... Like I said, cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The busiest restaurant we found on Tuesfay lunch in the centre of Trapani. Next to the closed Cathedral. Honestly priced, good service. Food ok nothing more. We had busiest with sicilian pesto and aubergine, nice, spaghetti with pesto and 4 mussels, nothing special, they should either put more mussels to enhance the flavour or take them off the menu, then we had a green salad, made with iceberg only, I think this salad is the only one imported in Italy, so maybe try to make it more adventurous. Wine very nice and the bill was fair. Overall good experience but need to improve.

Pros: lovely atmosphere and ambiance, service was prompt (rushed and stressed at times) but good service, nice enough staff. Cons: no cream sauce (as described on the menu) on the beef carpaccio, I wouldn’t say it was beef carpaccio at all. The side salad, was quite literally just smashed up iceberg lettuce (literally no dressing or tomato or other vegetables or cheese or anything), this isn’t a salad. I had let the beef carpaccio go, but for this I pointed out the lack of items inside of it, to which he then brought out some vinegar and oil. The paccheri pasta (which they are famous for), was literally the most shrimp tasting thing I have ever had, it was so shrimp you couldn’t even taste the truffle, which says something. It was grossly rich. Also the shrimp were tiny shrimp from a can. What is that? This placed used to be a Michelin star and they are riding on the coat tails of this. My group wished we dined elsewhere.

I have been working in the restaurant business and i hope this review helps in two ways: 1 That management and the chef improve their game . 2 preventing people to end their holidays with this disgusting bad taste., like we did We forget to reserve elsewhere so we went impulsive and that is how we ended up in this restaurant . The prices seemed okay at first, but then you see the portion sizes. Which in hindsight is a positive as the dishes where beyond bad in taste or in structure. After the starter which was not only super dry and left a bitter after taste. I kept hoping the main course could make a comeback for the night but helas. Not only did i have to wait for a grilled sword fish, which to my knowledge if it was fresh. Should only take ten minutes, but for them it took more than 30 min. Comically they gave my starter again first, but eventually came after another 10 min. Instead of apologising because my wife finished her diner already, threw my plate like he was the only one working in the restaurant and couldn’t be bothered. Mind you there were at the least 5 waiters in front with three tables empty and could have easily handled by one maybe two people (if it was full) If the menu says grilled fish steak (swordfish), i expect the grill marks to be evenly dark and not grey and dull like it was straight out of the freezer. The only reason i finished my plates was because I didn’t want my wife to feel worse. We ended up here, partly because of her and tried to make the best out of it. (But she knew the truth because she didn’t like any of hers as well). Our neighbours that were from Italy seemed more than disappointed and disgusted, they didn’t finish their plate. Couldn’t blame them, they somehow managed to get something so bad that the odour was sickening. I can continue and give more details but then i need to make a whole webpage. I expect the restaurant to brush off these claims. They can do so but I don’t see them do well with this in the future. Probably they get some friends in the neighbourhood to artificially boost their score as they seem to do. Good lick to all who mistakenly go here.

I am slightly surprised by the number of negative reviews. During my visit in May, everything was tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. I came to the restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who had visited the restaurant a year earlier.

We rented a room , check in at 6 pm , the person show up until 6.31 pm , we were waiting on the street which was very dirty and not to mention around the front door of salamureci . Finally after long waiting we got in the place , scarry ! at the point we wanted to move to other hotel . In case of an emergency (lets supose is a fire from the restaurant downstairs ) it’s no way to scape and be safe !!! The flat sheet had a spot , in general the room is a dump ! and had a weird unsanitary odor !

Did the tasting menu for lunch. Highlight - roasted octopus tentacles with saffron potato cream - right temperature and right texture (takes lots skill here) Great restaurant with great ambience and with top notch Trapanese seafood presentation Been eating a lot in Sicilia. Trapani is definitely the place to be if you want to try the proper seafood dishes (not street food per se). And Salamireci did not disappoint me.

My husband and I stayed here for a 4 night stay in Trapani. The staff was friendly and our room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. Perfect location, walking distance to everything and close to the ferry port to access the islands. The breakfast included daily was a nice option for us as well. Thank you for your hospitality!

Amazing experience with great food and service. Came here for lunch to eat the famous cous cous, very common dish in the area. The place was suggested by some local friends. We followed the host’s suggestion and decided to order the cous cous “Piatto Unico” (an all in one dish): it comes with seafood on top and fried calamari and prawns on the side, plus broth to mix with the rest. If you want to eat cous cous or seafood, this is the place to be. You can’t go wrong.

The place itself is great and very calm with the terrasse behind. We took the degustation menu which included 2 starters, 1 first plate, 1 second plate and 1 dessert + 4 wines for 60€ each. Wine choice is great and local and they always bring you half a bottle for each wine. Unfortunately our diner stopped after the first starter as the second one was fried octopus with a sauce, it was really heavy and too much served. This is not a dégustation menu but rather an addition of the Normal plate, in the same quantities, that you could take individually. When we told this to the waitress, she said that she was used to hear that but still… It also happened that we did not have knives and forks for the second plate and we needed to wait 5 minutes that someone spotted it. It was a really bad experience for us but if you still decide to go there, do not take the degustation menu.

My partner and I both visited the local area near where we were staying, we walked past the restaurant and were instantly drawn to the intimate nature of the restaurant and the menu itself. We booked in for a table at a busy time on a Sunday evening, one of the big reasons why we booked was because of the octopus dish with potatoes. The starters and the wine were fantastic, although both starters (arancini and tempura cod) were both accompanied by fava bean puree. In both of the starters the puree worked well with the dishes that we ordered, but upon receiving the octopus main course it came not only as not described on the menu (with pasta instead of potatoes), but also featured the fava bean puree as the sauce. I was disappointed with the amount of the octopus in the main course, as the octopus was supposed to be the advertised as the main feature/element of the dish. There were four pieces of octopus in total in the whole dish which were overpowered by the aforementioned fava bean puree, which ultimately became repetitive throughout the dishes. Very one note. The front of house did a fantastic job in not only the service but the handling of our complaint. We explained everything to the best of our abilities and they understood the issues raised. The atmosphere was great, the wine selection was fantastic and the location was ideal for anyone in the centre of Trapani. We would definitely still potentially revisit, but we would hope that next time would feature more variation in the accompaniments and not just fava bean puree being served with every dish we ordered.

Everything about the accommodation was amazing, even with it being a central location you feel a great sense of privacy and you make no sacrifice in comfort. The rooms were quite spacious, and check in was a breeze.

The apartments are huge, the staff is very nice and everything is clean and new. It is close to the downtown and the beach. The owner was very polite with us. He owns a cafe near the building and is also very nice. The only problem are the beds. The mattresses are very uncomfortable.

We were staying in room on 4th floor. The elevator is veeery slow. The room didn’t work with card key. The room was very small for two people. You don’t have a separate bathroom so it’s all in one. Bathroom is seethrough and you can hear everything and the glass was dirty. Also there isn’t pressure in water supply. The bed is uncomfortable. But location is really great and staff is so friendly. The room needs quite a few fix ups.

Nice hotel located almost next to the sea side. Unfortunately, as majority of old houses in Trapani it has no view other than into flats of people leaving in the opposite building. Therefore, it is very dark in the room due to the curtains. Building is literally squized with nano halls and nano staircase. So when your neighbours are e.g. loud Italians - you are somehow engaged in their quarrel till they kindly finish saying va fanculo to each other (based on true story!) The elevator is very slow, giving headache every time somebody from the upper floors needs to go down. if you're claustrophobic - this is not a place for you. Cleaning service was so so and the cosmetics were not refilled totally, same as a tea for clients. Typical Italian breakfast - mostly sweets. Now, the positive things: very nice and very helpful assistance, good quality of rooms /quite new, modern styled, no scent of mold/, very close to the sea shore and to the historical parts of the city. Desk assistants speaking English, so no issues with basic communication etc., which in Italy is a great asset. For 2-3 days it is a great shot to take, provided you're aware of the disadvantages mentioned above. Overall, knowing Italian style and habits, I was pleased with my stay there.

The penthouse apartment is awesome and was especially great with our Yorkiepoo. The location is amazing just inside the walking zone 100 meters from the sea and 5 minutes walk from 50+ amazing bars and restaurants in the historic center. We had a lovely stay here :) The location is perfect - one street away from the sea and sits above a popular street in the city. We booked very last minute and got a great room and quick service. Rooms are large with full kitchen, small balcony, tv, bathroom, and bedroom. The balcony/terrace is really beautiful with a bar, plants, and lots of seating. The terrace overlooks Garibaldi St which is a buzzy street with great atmosphere. I would love to return one day!!

Perfect location in the beginning of historical area and close to very cheap parking (0.10 EUR per hour). Although it was an apartment, there was a room cleaning. Good responsiveness from the host (Manola) before our arrival - we got answers for all our questions. When we entered the apartment, there was a heavy smell of detergents (probably after cleaning). Later on, it was replaced by smell from sewers. Weak water pressure in the shower. The biggest issue was that we were surprised by lack of hot water in the morning after our first night. Fortunately, the problem was fixed a couple of hours after we told about it. No WiFi range in bedroom of the apartment. The ’Sole’ apartment was pretty dark. Also, I asked a couple of times if it’s ok to checkout at 9am and I was told it’s ok but on the check-out day the breakfast staff needed to wake up someone because they didn’t speak English.

We spent a week at the Map Holiday Residence in Trapani. From the moment we walked through the door, we were met with great enthusiasm by Ingrid. As we had to wait a little bit before we could get to our room (we arrived early), she gave us a lots of tips where to go and what to do in Trapani. The entire building is damp, with mold visible on the walls. Within 10 minutes, we started experiencing respiratory issues and headaches. Firstly the B&B was spotless, the location was amazing (very central in the historic quarter near to all the bars, port and restaurants), the breakfast beautiful. In addition to this the customer service was outstanding, Salvatore helped personally with the parking, offered fantastic suggestions for my trip in its entirety (traveller Sicily for 11 days) and was at hand 24 hours to help at the drop of a hat.
