Tatralandia is a year-round water park that offers both indoor and outdoor pools, thrilling rides, and various slides. It's an ideal destination for a hot summer day with its fun rides, water slides, tubing wave pool, and wave machine. The park also features a children's pool to keep the little ones entertained. Additionally, during winter when skiing conditions are unfavorable, Tatralandia serves as a great alternative with access available using skipass.
The water park is very cool and very big. There are many water slides and many pools. There is also an indoor part of the water park but the bigger part is the outdoor one. The water park is in a beautiful spot. Where you see the beautiful mountain scenery. The water park is a little crowded but is still great.

Fantastic place to go with our boys of 8, 9 and 12 yrs old. With so many slides you can gradually build up the difficulty level. Personal favorite: Flamingo. Also had some good food from the grill 😋 And enough parking space. Buy tickets online to get some discount 😉
Andries — Google review
If you enjoy feeling exploited – go there. The entrance tickets are outrageously overpriced, and the place is packed with thousands of people, creating enormous queues for the slides. For some unexplained reason, on most of the slides – especially those designed for kids – you’re forced to wait for an inflatable tube, which makes the wait even longer and more cumbersome. On the main slides, you can end up waiting over an hour (!) in line, and then spend more long minutes waiting again at the top. Everything moves painfully slowly and inefficiently. But the real nerve is what they call “Express Tickets.” For an extra €3 per person per slide, they let you skip the main line and go straight up to the slide queue itself. So, while you – who already paid dozens of euros to get in – wait endlessly in the “regular” line, dozens of people who paid more casually walk past you. For every 20 “express” guests, they let through maybe 1 or 2 who paid the already outrageous regular admission. They’re counting on you to give up and pay more. It’s basically extortion. In 8 hours at the park, the kids barely managed 7 slides in total, and altogether spent about 5–6 hours waiting in line. The food is expensive too, and the queues for food are just as unreasonable. We won’t be coming back, and we definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
Oded M — Google review
The water park is huge and offers a wide variety of attractions, with something for everyone. The rides and activities were diverse and a lot of fun. Most of the attractions are outdoors, so weather can make a big difference. The only downside was that the major attractions had long waiting times. We visited on a sunny day, so it wasn’t too bad, but on colder days the wait could be less pleasant, especially for those not used to chilly weather.
Kobi C — Google review
This review is for the aquapark pools and slides, not the hotel. As we were not there The place is great and we spent the full day with kids, even though most of the slides were closed due to winter, it was still lots of fun and not crowded at all , October time
Michael G — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience at Aqua Park Tatralandia! So many slides, pools, and attractions for every age. The water is warm, everything is clean, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect mix of fun and relaxation — a must-visit when in Slovakia. PS: There was a magician😂
Joe B — Google review
Visited Tatralandia Water Park today. The park is very large, with plenty of seating areas both outdoors and indoors. It can get extremely crowded, which may not be ideal for those who dislike crowds, but it offers a fun experience for most visitors above 120 cm in height. Only a few attractions require a minimum height of 140 cm. There are lockers available for storing belongings, and many restaurants on-site, though prices are relatively high, around €15 for a standard meal and €3 for drinks. The park has a wide variety of attractions and pools. We chose to visit mainly for the wave pools, but unfortunately, they were closed upon arrival. It’s possible to skip the long lines by paying €3 per ride, but this option isn’t available for all attractions and must be paid each time you want to skip the line. If you don’t bring a towel, you can rent one for €4. There is plenty of parking in the complex, including in the main lot.
Lior L — Google review
Unbelievably crowded! Right at the entrance, at every slide (it took even 55 mins today for one of them), at all restaurants in the peak lunch time, and finally a decent queue at the exit to pay the consumption. It's a pity, because the place has very good facilities and potential, it's just the unlimited visitors left in on such a peak day, which creates such a distress.

The lake's clean and clear waters provide an ideal spot for relaxation and fun water-based adventures. Visitors can rent pedal boats to explore the expansive lake or simply enjoy swimming in its warm waters.
Lovely lake and beautiful scenery all around lower Tatra mountains. Plenty of hiking trails to choose from. Swimming is also possible in certain locations.

It was such a nice spot to camp, swim and do BBQ. The lake is very clean and clear. By the lake, we rented a mini peddle boat, 10€ per hour. And we had so much fun exploring the whole lake on our own foot! Great experience. Definitely recommend to drop by and swim in the lake.

Mountain range
The Western Tatras, a large mountain range, offer a variety of scenic peaks, alpine lakes, and numerous hiking and ski trails. The Holy Hill is one of the less known peaks in this area but offers an interesting hiking trail to the sought-after Baranec Hill. The ridge hikes in this region provide stunning views with grassy hills and occasional rocky sections secured by chains. The significantly smaller number of tourists compared to the High Tatras ensures peace and quiet for visitors.
Beautiful mountains but there's no respect to woods in "protected" area

Beautiful mountain range, extensive views. From the Polish side it is available all year round, from the Slovak side access is limited in winter.

Wild and beautiful, great hikes, ski tours (be aware of avalanches - West Tatras are grassy and prone to avalanches)

(Translated by Google) Beautiful ridge hikes, mostly grassy hills with great views, sometimes rocky sections (secured with chains) where you feel like you're walking on a knife edge. A little less people than in the High Tatras. I recommend visiting Roháčske Plesá, for more skilled Miners. (Original) Krásne hrebeňové turistiky, prevažne trávnaté kopce s krásnymi výhľadmi, miestami skalnaté úseky (zabezpečené reťazmi), kde máte pocit, že chodíte po ostrí noža. O niečo menej ľudí ako vo Vysokých Tatrách. Odporúčam navštíviť Roháčske Plesá, pre zdatnejších Baníkov.

(Translated by Google) The Western Tatras are a great mountain range for long and short trips. The views are wonderful, e.g. the Bystra stream valley is a beautiful, picturesque place. A big advantage of this range is the significantly smaller number of tourists than in the High Tatras and, above all, in our Polish Tatras. Peace and quiet 👍⛰️ (Original) Tatry Zachodnie to świetne pasmo górskie na wycieczki dłuższe jak i te krótkie. Widoki wspaniałe np. dolina potoku Bystrej to przepiękne malownicze miejsce. Cisza i spokój 👍⛰️

(Translated by Google) Great hiking from Nižná Lúka along the green trail to the ridge in the direction of Jakubina, to the Polish border, further along the red Končistá trail, for those who are persistent, you can also run up to Klin and back down around Račkovy plies following the yellow trail. Hike for the whole day :) Beautiful environment. Caverns & Caves
Demänovská Cave of Liberty, located in the Liptov region of Slovakia, is a captivating destination for travelers. This extensive cave system stretches over 13,000 meters, with 1,600 meters accessible to visitors. The guided tour offers an opportunity to marvel at underground lakes and vibrant rock formations while learning about the cave's history and geological significance. It's advisable to check the website for tour times as entry is only permitted with a guide.
Cave of Liberty An excellent attraction and a remarkable value for money. The tour lasts approximately one hour and includes a well-organized route with numerous ascents and descents. Visitors should be prepared for a significant number of stairs both on the way down and back up. Photography inside the cave is permitted only with a special ticket (10 EUR), which is clearly marked with a green sticker and strictly enforced. It is also advisable to wear warm clothing, as the temperature inside the cave is noticeably cold.
Ilya L — Google review
Not really expensive for entree, but taking video and pictures is additional €10,-. It’s a queue of 1,5 hour outside in the sun, cash register closed for 45 minutes during cave operations? The tour is in Slovakian and no English, so for us it was just a bit of looking around, but it was absolutely beautiful. It’s just a bit of a mess in this business here, just like the parking of €10,-. Admission fee is €14,- per person.
Timo — Google review
This cave is incredibly amazing. Stunning view inside. Highly recommended to must see if you are in the area. Paid extra euro to be able to take photos. Our tour guide was so nice to translate the language to English. It was an amazing experience.
Demz R — Google review
Pretty cave but entry isn’t the cheapest, and neither is the parking. Will also say that you are not allowed to take photos without a photo pass, which costs extra
Lucia S — Google review
Would recommend 10/10! While the price of the parking ticket (€15) or admission fee (€14/€24) can scare you at first, you will soon realise that it's completely justified. We took the long tour (100 min) and I would suggest taking it as otherwise you will miss the most breathtaking and stunning experience - the Great Dome. It truly is once in a lifetime feeling seeing it for the first time. The whole tour you get to try to figure out what do the different, really varied formations resemble. As an example, in the photo attached a little mole is being strangled by a cobra 🐍 The guide speaks in Slovak but as our group was mainly Polish, there was also Polish audio played. I am not sure if there is English audio as well, but you can read most of the details in their official free English guide. If you are in the neighbourhood give it a go, you won't regret it!
Jędrzej C — Google review
The caves are impressive, but be prepared to listen to Slovak language for an hour even if in the group are only foreigners.
Tomas V — Google review
Great experience and breathtaking. Prepare yourself for long distance walk. The tour guide speaks only Slovakian which makes the tour very very boaring without understanding a single world. Even instructions inside were explained only in thier language. Specially for such a large group around 100 person in the tour. The path from Parking to the entrance were not clear and confusing. It worth the experience eventhough.
ALI A — Google review
The cave system is worth seeing. The way it is adjusted for mass tourism is painful to see. Tons of concrete are everywhere. The pariking (not governed by a cave institution) is criminally expensive. 15 EUR

Baranec is a 7,169-foot mountain in West Tatras, offering a challenging yet rewarding hiking trail with stunning panoramic views of the valley. The yellow trail from Ziarska Valley leads to the summit in about 4 hours, showcasing breathtaking vistas of Ziarska Valley, Banikov range, and Baranec Range. The hike above the tree line reveals captivating sights of Low Tatras and High Tatras.
Was there for a dozens of times and everytime I like to come back. Snowy december Baranec is the best.
Michal M — Google review
I did this hike on the 6th of May. It was a cloudy day, but as soon as you got above the tree line and above clouds you could see the tops of the mountains. I walked from mini camping Jana in Liptovská Kokava. This added an hour each way to the hike. It’s a great campsite to stay in when hiking in the Tatra mountains. The hike itself was pretty straightforward, nothing technical.
James G — Google review
This is the only open trail for the winter hikers in West Tatras. Follow the yellow trail (or the path) and you will get to the summit in about 4 hours from the parking at the Ziarska Valley (they charge 3 Euro for day parking). Once you get above the tree line you will be able to enjoy beautiful views on Ziarska Valley, Banikov range and Baranec Range. You can also see Low Tatras and once you get closer to the summit High Tatras too. The nature under the snow cover looks amazing, but it can get quite windy and the snow is slippery around the summit. The weather changes quickly too. Don't hesitate and put this winter hike on your bucket list!
Jan K — Google review
Beautiful place. Best way to go up i i think to go right from parking on the beggining of Ziarska dolina. Way up is approx. 3,5hours and up there is beautiful circular view and you can choose few ways to continue your trip.

Sivý vrch is a destination suited for experienced hikers, offering both challenging and less demanding routes. The ascent from the Palenice saddle provides a more pleasant journey, while the path from Bilych skal along the red road offers a bit more adrenaline and challenge. The breathtaking views make the effort worthwhile. The trail is well-marked in red and takes about 3 hours one way, with few encounters along the way.
Nice hike, a bit demanding but not too much (friends did it with 11 years old). A few places where you need to use chains which are attached to the rock. Views are wonderful.

(Translated by Google) An extremely interesting mountain, and the biggest impression is made by the summit itself. Up to a certain point, the access is quite efficient, before the summit it starts to get much more difficult and it is not a climb for everyone, along the way there are large steep slopes and approaches with chains. The slender rocks sticking out, make a fairy-tale impression. (Translated by Google) Don't be fooled by the ease of the route, as despite its rather unimpressive elevation, there's almost 1,000 meters of elevation gain over a short 4-kilometer section. It's the perfect route for a break, and it's a wonderful summit and trail. One of the most beautiful in the region. The climate and views are incredible, and there are a few obstacles along the way. I was incredibly surprised by how magnificent this summit and the trail itself are. I've hiked everything in the Tatras, even the Taternickie routes, but Siwy Wierch made a huge impression on me. If you haven't, it's an absolute must-see! Baníkov is a mountain summit in Zapadne Tatry that offers breathtaking views of surrounding peaks. The challenging ridge trail to the summit can be accessed from Banikov sedlo or Smutne sedlo, with the latter being the recommended route. The trail features narrow paths, wet rocks, and chains for support, making it suitable for confident hikers. While the hike may be demanding, the stunning views of Rohacske Plesa and Dolina make it all worthwhile.
Easily the most hardest hiking trail if you go unprepared for what awaits you. Slightly easiest access from Banikov sedlo, but not so fun. Best route from Smutne sedlo. Lots of chains and wet rocks, but the view of Rohacske Plesa and Dolina is amazing though. Highly recomended. For children and older people I suggest using some security on chains. Enjoy!
Martins V — Google review
We did the hike few days ago. Weather was perfect, sunny with light wind. We went to Banikovo sedlo, across the ridge to Smutné sedlo. There are some chains and narrow parts, but not to scary if you have hiking experince in high mountains. Alps can be more scary then this ridge. Views were amazing.

Embarking on a hike to Roháčske plesa is an adventure that promises stunning natural beauty and memorable experiences. Starting from a spacious parking area, you’ll find yourself navigating an asphalt path that leads uphill. Along the way, be sure to take a moment to admire the picturesque waterfall—just remember to veer off towards it for the best view! The trail offers breathtaking vistas as you make your way through lush meadows and alongside serene ponds.
(Translated by Google) At the beginning of the hike, there is a spacious parking lot. It is paid about €5 per day, I am not sure. We started from the parking lot next to the buffet 😉 on the asphalt and then uphill on the hiking trail. Next to the beautiful waterfall, be careful you have to turn towards it, don't mistake it for a small waterfall by the sidewalk. There are many beautiful views during the hike.

I absolutely loved the walk there. There were not many tourists, I was listening to birds and water … there was still snow at the end of the May. Start a tour in Rohace Spalena Parking - €8. Or anywhere nearby. It is a round tour - so you can go to former Tatliakova chats and via Rohacske Plesa to Adamcuľa or other way round ;-)) There’s quick food at Tatliakova chats

(Translated by Google) Come and admire😁 😲 AWESOME VIEWS💎🤩🏞️ For me, it's a mountain paradise. It's simply impossible not to admire nature here. Zielona Dolina will definitely stay in my memory. A repertoire of greenery, stones, springs and the mighty 💪 Rohacki waterfall. Wherever I turn, there's a wonderful view. I highly recommend it. My team took the loop route from the Pod Spaleniu parking lot. The route is definitely for average tourists. It's not technically demanding but can be physically demanding, especially on hot days. On the plus side - the trail is not crowded. Repertuar zieleni, kamieni, źródełek i mocarnego 💪 wodospadu Rohackiego.

(Translated by Google) It can easily compete with 5 ponds on the Polish side, the approach from the waterfall side is quite steep and in hot weather it's exhausting.. from Tatliaków cottage there's a shorter approach if someone needs an easier version.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful place, I recommend taking the route towards the waterfall from Adamcula. You will have nicer views of the lake from the top and the descent is not as steep as in the opposite direction from Ťatliak's cottage...

(Translated by Google) Absolutely amazing and beautiful wild nature⛰️🪨🐻🦊. From Tatliakova chata the path is more leisurely, but the descent over the Roháčov waterfall is very steep. Beautiful scenery, views and clean air. (Original) Naprosto úžasná a krásná divoká příroda⛰️🪨🐻🦊. (Translated by Google) Hruba Kopa itself is nothing special, a slightly more interesting approach than to Płaczliwy Rohacz. At the top there is a nice, characteristic cross made of skis, that's all. It pales in comparison to the road through Trzy Kopy and on the other side the approach to Banówka. (Original) Sama Hruba Kopa to nic szczególnego, niewiele ciekawsze podejście niż na Płaczliwy Rohacz. Na szczycie fajny, charakterystyczny krzyż z nart, tyle. Mountain peak
Tri kopy is a stunning ridge trail with frontal views, especially of Rohace. The approach from Smutna Przelecz is relatively simple, but there are some exposed areas along the way. The entrance from Smutna Przelecz is steep and requires caution due to loose gravel. However, the breathtaking views and well-placed rocks with chains make it worthwhile. This peak can be quite challenging along the red trail from Wolowiec to Brestov.
(Translated by Google) The entrance from Smutna Przełęcz is steep and you have to be careful about the loose gravel on which you can fall. They are compensated by views and good rocks with chains to walk between the mounds. From the exhibition sites you can see the Rohackie Ponds, which are exactly under these mountains. Rekompensują widoki i dobre skałki z łańcuchami do przechodzenia pomiędzy kopami.

There is an interesting passage towards Banówka and experience with the exhibition may be useful. I recommend (Original) Przepiękny szlak graniowych, miejscami nieco eksponowany.
