We had lunch here on my birthday, Feb 23rd 2024 - the sun was out, temperature was juuuust above 18 degrees, not too many tourists yet and a very nice spot in the sun besides the infamous boule-lane where a couple of guys were showing of their skills. Service is very polite, efficient and with a nice sense og humor - we had a couple of Nicoise-salads which were big, colorful, tasy and very french. Good comfort food! A few softdrinks and a decent prices bill ended our lunch after about 2 hours in the sun. As a birthday present, I really could not ask for more. Enjoy!

The most unfriendly waiters I’ve met in France. They just put the two sandwiches on ONE plate and literally slid it on the table. On the verge of being rude they left the feeling that we are somehow bothering them by having come to have some food. The paninis tasted ok. The best part was that the cafe is situated right next to the square where locals are playing pétanque, which was quite enjoyable to watch.
My friend and I were craving a crêpe during our break of a tour activity. It was there, quick & tasty. Can’t speak on more as we weren’t there for long but the ambience for the short time was pleasant.
The café itself is lovely — great spot, cozy vibe, and the food and drinks were genuinely good. The location adds extra charm; you can sit back and soak in the village atmosphere with a nice espresso or lunch plate.
That said, the service really brought the experience down. Our server was dismissive and barely paid attention — felt like he didn’t want to be there or serve us at all. It’s a shame, because everything else was on point.
If they improve the attitude and attention of the staff, this place could easily be a five-star stop in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
Outright rude and openly racist. Ignored our requests while offering services politely to nearby tables. When we tried to call them out on their behavior they pretended to not speak English.
They hardly have any options on the menu and whatever they have is terrible (food, wine and beers - everything is awful). I would stay away from this restaurant. Zero value for money.
Called in on a whim whilst passing, plat du jour was roast chicken, potato gratin and green beans and it was literally one of the best meals of my life. Large portions of delicious food served by efficient and friendly waiting staff. For EUR15 is was an absolute bargain, I cant vouch for the other plats du jour but if they're half as good as this was you're in for a treat.
Croque monsieur was extremely tasty and the salad was fresh, the aperol spritz was refreshing. Service is fast and friendly.
4,5€ for a glass of cold milk for a kid, after taken a mistaken order for 3 times and charging 5€ extra for things we didn’t have.

DEFINITELY worthwhile! My husband and I spent just over 3 hours admiring all the art inside and outside the gallery and then having a simple lunch outside in the restaurant. It was a wonderful way to spend the day. Whether or not you are an art lover, I think you would enjoy this museum. It's beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the artwork. The outside area is peaceful and has stunning views of the town below too. Food in restaurant was very good. Plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill. Not necessary to speak French to enjoy. Tickets are easily purchased onsite. Nice gift shop too.

Amazing place. Exciting, beautiful, well curated. A must- see. You need 3 hours at least yo enjoy it. There’s a nice restaurant and Bar with art all around in the sculpture garden.
One of the best museums I’ve visited. The architecture itself is really nice , and the sculpture garden is beautiful and relaxing, complete and offers a café for coffee or a bite to eat. The collection is thoughtfully curated. Plan to spend at least three hours to fully enjoy it, and arrive early as it can gets busy after 12.
Beautiful and monumental spot with stunning form and broad collection of contemporary artists. The architecture is stunning, combined with nature and beautiful view, creates unique and one of the kind atmosphere.
It’s also great to sit in the garden cafe house and admire the sculptures around. The prices are quite high but it’s still worth visiting at least once.
My first visit here was in 1990. It was like discovering a rare, precious gem. On my latest visit, 40 years later, the magic and charm continues on... it is without doubt my most favourite art museum anywhere in the world!! The location amongst natural parkland, with glimpses to the sea in the distance, is bomeyond spectacular! Dining on the open terrace, next to the Chagall mural and by the stained glass of the chapel is something not to miss. I will certainly visit again, next time I'm in the south of France.
In my opinion one of the finer museums in the world. Restorative experience amidst the pine trees. Timeless mid century modern architecture with sculpture garden featuring works by Henry Moore, Calder and especially Miro. Impressive collection of 20th century modern art. Plan two hours minimum to enjoy the place. Early morning is nice and quiet, especially in the off-season. If you’re outside on the terrace around 12:00 plus 12:07, you can hear chapel bells ring.

I had been to the Fondation a number of years ago when, I thought it just ok. But a major extension and renovation in 2022-24 has yielded great results. The gardens were always beautiful. But now the indoor galleries are way more extensive now showing off the beautiful collection.
Plus their restaurant is lovely. We had lunch by the fountain. I highly recommend a visit.
This is an A+ museum. The art aside, there has been extensive steps taken to aid visitors to discover during their visit. The grounds are so pleasant. I highly recommend taking time to get a beverage and grab a chair outside to people watch and enjoy the sculptures while listening to birds chirp.

Nestled in the charming town of Saint Paul, Le Fromager de Saint Paul is a delightful spot that beckons both locals and travelers alike. This cozy café offers a perfect retreat where you can bask in the sun, whether under an umbrella or soaking up rays during the milder seasons when many other eateries are closed. Known for its inviting atmosphere, it’s also home to a fantastic cheese shop that will thrill any cheese lover.
It is our second visit to Saint Paul de Vence. It is unfortunate this time we chance it upon a rainy day. Well we decided to chill at the cheese shop located near the entrance of the village.
We were greeted by the friendly staff of the shop. There were only 2 tables that are sheltered, and very luckily we got one.
The lady owner is very kind to offer me extra butter which I needed for my dinner in our b&b home in Vence.
We had cheese platter, Fries, some white & a glass of rose. Everything was good, great service great cheeses. I saw them premium offering of Echiré butter too. 👍🏻

It was a cold rainy day at St Paul de Vence but we were made warmed by a simple cheese lunch at Le Fromager. The Blanc and Rose are such simple pleasures to go with the three-type cheese platter.
What an amazing fromagerie/boulangerie! It is very low key in a small space, but they have everything you may want or need. Amazing baguettes and cheese (comte!!) but they also have fresh fruit/vegetables, cakes, drinks, and meats. Highly recommend this spot - we visited multiple times and will be back!
Had a delicious lunch of charcuterie and fromages with drinks, served by a very friendly lady, on a small terrace with a view of the surrounding hills. A little bit more expensive than I expected, although the portions of meats were very large.
We had a nice light lunch here. Prices are a little higher than other for what you get, but that is common across the town. The food itself was nice and the service friendly.
I don't know much about cheese. I asked the owner to recommend a mixture of cheeses, a board with salami, and ham. She got me what I wanted. I enjoyed an hour here with wine and cheese. Thanks. (it was 45 Euros for two people with one rose wine)
Great view! Great home-made lasagne:) However the price tag said lasagne was abt 14euro and he charged 18euro.. just realized that when i got back home. Maybe I should just take it as i paid for the view😅
Take care with the bill. After I payed the bill I noticed an extra dish which I didn’t receive. So, I told the waitress and they refunded.

Mountain pass
Col de Vence is a mountain pass located near the tranquil town of Vence, about 20km from Nice. The medieval center of Vence is surrounded by stone walls and features charming crooked streets to explore. At the top of the mountain, there are eateries where visitors can enjoy food and drinks while taking in the barren yet picturesque landscape. The road leading up to Col de Vence is quiet and popular among cyclists due to its suitability for biking.
A very challenging mountain ride from sea level to 963 meters. You pass through the charming town of Vence before climbing the last 8km (and 500m) up to the col. If you’re cycling, be sure to wear warm clothes and fill your bottles in Vence before the final ascent. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views of the coast and surrounding peaks.

Outstanding switch back route to the top of the mountain overlooking Vence and the Niçoise region. We enjoyed a riot of wildflowers and outstanding views from the top. Definitely off the beaten path.

The trail leads to the Baou Blanc at 673 meters and Baou Noir at 678 meters, then continues to a hill that overlooks them, providing a calm and serene connection with nature. While the climb can be challenging, hikers are rewarded with breathtaking scenery. It's recommended to bring plenty of water for the hike.
