The most unfriendly waiters I’ve met in France. They just put the two sandwiches on ONE plate and literally slid it on the table. On the verge of being rude they left the feeling that we are somehow bothering them by having come to have some food. The paninis tasted ok. The best part was that the cafe is situated right next to the square where locals are playing pétanque, which was quite enjoyable to watch.

My friend and I were craving a crêpe during our break of a tour activity. It was there, quick & tasty. Can’t speak on more as we weren’t there for long but the ambience for the short time was pleasant.

The café itself is lovely — great spot, cozy vibe, and the food and drinks were genuinely good. The location adds extra charm; you can sit back and soak in the village atmosphere with a nice espresso or lunch plate. That said, the service really brought the experience down. Our server was dismissive and barely paid attention — felt like he didn’t want to be there or serve us at all. It’s a shame, because everything else was on point. If they improve the attitude and attention of the staff, this place could easily be a five-star stop in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Outright rude and openly racist. Ignored our requests while offering services politely to nearby tables. When we tried to call them out on their behavior they pretended to not speak English. They hardly have any options on the menu and whatever they have is terrible (food, wine and beers - everything is awful). I would stay away from this restaurant. Zero value for money.

Called in on a whim whilst passing, plat du jour was roast chicken, potato gratin and green beans and it was literally one of the best meals of my life. Large portions of delicious food served by efficient and friendly waiting staff. For EUR15 is was an absolute bargain, I cant vouch for the other plats du jour but if they're half as good as this was you're in for a treat.

Croque monsieur was extremely tasty and the salad was fresh, the aperol spritz was refreshing. Service is fast and friendly.

4,5€ for a glass of cold milk for a kid, after taken a mistaken order for 3 times and charging 5€ extra for things we didn’t have. DONT GO THERE

Amazing place. Exciting, beautiful, well curated. A must- see. You need 3 hours at least yo enjoy it. There’s a nice restaurant and Bar with art all around in the sculpture garden.

One of the best museums I’ve visited. The architecture itself is really nice , and the sculpture garden is beautiful and relaxing, complete and offers a café for coffee or a bite to eat. The collection is thoughtfully curated. Plan to spend at least three hours to fully enjoy it, and arrive early as it can gets busy after 12.

Beautiful and monumental spot with stunning form and broad collection of contemporary artists. The architecture is stunning, combined with nature and beautiful view, creates unique and one of the kind atmosphere. It’s also great to sit in the garden cafe house and admire the sculptures around. The prices are quite high but it’s still worth visiting at least once.

My first visit here was in 1990. It was like discovering a rare, precious gem. On my latest visit, 40 years later, the magic and charm continues on... it is without doubt my most favourite art museum anywhere in the world!! The location amongst natural parkland, with glimpses to the sea in the distance, is bomeyond spectacular! Dining on the open terrace, next to the Chagall mural and by the stained glass of the chapel is something not to miss. I will certainly visit again, next time I'm in the south of France.

In my opinion one of the finer museums in the world. Restorative experience amidst the pine trees. Timeless mid century modern architecture with sculpture garden featuring works by Henry Moore, Calder and especially Miro. Impressive collection of 20th century modern art. Plan two hours minimum to enjoy the place. Early morning is nice and quiet, especially in the off-season. If you’re outside on the terrace around 12:00 plus 12:07, you can hear chapel bells ring.

A lovely day out from Nice. I had been to the Fondation a number of years ago when, I thought it just ok. But a major extension and renovation in 2022-24 has yielded great results. The gardens were always beautiful. But now the indoor galleries are way more extensive now showing off the beautiful collection. Plus their restaurant is lovely. We had lunch by the fountain. I highly recommend a visit.

This is an A+ museum. The art aside, there has been extensive steps taken to aid visitors to discover during their visit. The grounds are so pleasant. I highly recommend taking time to get a beverage and grab a chair outside to people watch and enjoy the sculptures while listening to birds chirp.

In the 17th century a weekly market was held next to the Grand Fontaine in the center of St Paul de Vence west of Nice, France.

A stunning city! I would love to come back again so I have more time to shop and explore.

This is a georgous setting under a big tree with a fabulous view. We had a lovely meal, The prawn risotto was delicious. and everything was excellent except my main course. There was a 20 min delay with our mains, the kitchen is small so that happens. However my duck I think sat under the heat lamp for all of that delay, it was dry and tasteless, the waiter shrugged when I said it.

Great outdoor dining area under the massive linden tree. Our waiter was great despite the restaurant being busy. The courgette flower fritters were light and the tomato sauce was a great accompaniment. The lobster was good although the linguine was a bit bland. The risotto was excellent especially with the crunchy chorizo, even though the chef seemed to have forgot to add the peas, one of the namesake ingredients ! There was no wait for a table as we’d booked ahead.

When I first arrived, no one told me whether I should wait to be seated or just grab a table, so I ended up waiting over 10 minutes. Watching other people sit down before me was frustrating, and I almost left. (It would be helpful to have some signage or guidance.) It was extremely hot, so I stayed and finally got a seat, but the food was just okay — nothing special. On the bright side, the male server was really nice, so the experience ended on a positive note.

I wish I would come here off-season. The crowd makes the staff insensitive. They focus on the “job”, they forgot to please the customer. We were lucky that we came across a young eager garçon, serve us with his smiley shining, eye contact face. We picked traditional toast, goat cheese salad, prawn risotto and chicken with vegetable. I chose the toast as a winner. Goat cheeses covered with a thin crisp dough, gives a more sophisticated texture. I liked that. Chickens are interestingly juicy and delicious in France. They found a different way to cook them. I personally never able to make that. We sat inside.

Great food accompany with a great location. Dining under a tree is a true unique sound of France experience. Risotto is perfectly seasoned and cooked. OTT rose was a nice companion. Though angus beef was ordinary but the overall experience going to be memorable.

We ordered chevice to share for starters and lobster pasta for main. Starters come, served in the middle with sharing plates, all good. Then main comes and is served to my girlfriend, no sharing plates, not placed in the middle. I ask "where's the another?" answer was that "I thought you'll share that" which made absolutely no sense from how it was served. No real apology, nothing but that I'll order a new one to you quickly, which took 10 minutes. No surprise that the last Michelin recommendation is from last decade. Food was good but the subpar waiting and arrogance for not giving any remedy like free dessert despite giving 3 separate opportunities is just at this price point 👎 Also, not a single wine top up, self-service works the best I guess.

Dessert was a highlight: we sampled the Crème Brûlée, Fondant au Chocolat, and the Lemon Tart. Every dessert is homemade by their in-house pâtisserie, and it shows. Each one was beautifully crafted and delicious, striking the perfect balance between indulgence and finesse. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant in the St Paul de Vence area. Whether you’re stopping for lunch or enjoying a leisurely dinner, Le Tilleul is well worth a visit. A true gem!

Old cemetery supposedly with some famous painters buried here (which we didn't particularly search for). There is also an old chapel here that was closed and locked at the time of our visit.

Wow, what a stunning view! The service was spotless, and the staff was super friendly. They even gave us a seat inside until the table cleared. And the burger was absolutely delicious! The menu was a bit limited, mostly featuring some special main dishes. Overall, it was a great experience.

The place is nice with nice views. The atmosphere is also cozy and with good vibes. The service is average. We didn’t know the place is inside the castle and no cars are allowed, so we were 15mins late. They canceled our reservation and charged us 100€, and when we reached we had to argue with the staff to let us go in although our table was still available. The service also was average as well as the food. Their drinks were very good.

Wonderful evening at Les Remparts. The view from the terrace was breathtaking with a charming ambience. Service friendly, engaging and helpful despite being busy. We shared a number of dishes including an artichoke salad, broccolini, steak tartare, goats cheese salad and a croque monsieur with a beautiful bottle of Provence rose. All were delicious and beautifully presented and the food was some of the best we have eaten in France. Going back before we leave. Would highly recommend! Reservation required

Les Remparts ö offers a stunning view – especially during sunset, it's a truly memorable experience. The small but refined menu features fresh dishes of excellent quality. The service is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and never overwhelmed. A perfect place for a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

Wow. Just wow. From the moment you walk in, you know it’s going to be great. Staff is incredible. Food is art that also tastes out of this world. We did the 4 course, and squid tartar was a highlight. Langoustines also a fan favorite. Lamb tartar in a cone, something I wouldn’t order, insane tastes. Honestly the only thing that could be improved is the bread. It was good, but not boulangerie great. I don’t get the chance to go to many Michelin restaurants, but just to inform you, Fromage service is not included, and didn’t realize that; was so full I didn’t really need it but they offered. Thanks so much for having us!

Really impressed by the value and menu! And the ambiance, and the service and the decor, this place is a must 👌 The entrée/plat/dessert 45€ is an amazing deal for a hotel of this caliber. The servers are professional, something I really appreciate coming from the US where we have no notion of professional service and a perfectly timed meal. We had the squash velouté (comes from their garden on site 😍) the dorade (seam bream) and souris d’agneau (lamb). They were all excellent : perfect temp, perfect portion size, perfectly salted. I’m extremely picky about too much salt so that was appreciated. My dear dining partner always gets my dessert and the baba au rhum and chocolate mousse were—according to him—amazing. The wine at 50€ - 100€ is reasonable, we ordered à Côtes du Rhône at 45€ and we’re happy with it. All in all, a super dining experience that we will happily repeat 🙏

It's hard to express how charming, intimate and absolutely delightful it is here. How lucky were we to have this recommended. The scenery, the ambience, the delectable bites and the live music and singing have been absolutely divine to enjoy. An absolute must for a romantic evening or cosy night out with friends.

The waiter was really nice but he lacked awareness. Trying to get his attention for service was challenging. Also a group of 4 people arrived after we did and got served before us . But the food was tasty !

We had an amazing time early July 2020, spent 2 nights and got to know the owners during this time. They are charming,helpful and passionate about their business. Their passion is making guest feel at home. This is how we felt. The food is brilliant, tasteful and local. We will be back ! The top floor room is just amazing, worthy of a 5 star hotel...and just wait until you see the view you have from your bed !

I had such a wonderful experience here! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I tried the goat cheese on homemade bread with a side salad, and it was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and perfectly balanced. On top of that, the service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A true hidden gem for anyone who loves wholesome food in a charming setting!

A cosy restaurant with a small number of tables so booking is recommended. We booked but it still seemed like a bit of an inconvenience to the host who sat our party of 3 at a table for 2. They didn't present a food menu, instead the host read out the menu, so make sure you're listening! The food was fresh, seasonal and much of it local. Very tasty. The service was a little bit haphazard and slow. Prepare for a 90+ minute lunch sitting. Otherwise, a cute place, nice menu and welcome break from the heat.

The cafe is lovely with attentive and friendly service. We had the gazpacho, pasta, burrata/tomato and sardines with salad. The burrata and sardines were fine. The pasta and gazpacho pasta could have used more seasoning and flavor. Overall pretty spa cuisine if you’re into that.

This may have been the most beautiful café I have ever been to in my life. Go upstairs and soak up the view by the window while enjoying a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. The owner speaks English and is extremely friendly. The only downside is the high price, we spent a fortune there! Cards accepted.

We had such an amazing lunch here! At the recommendation of a local shop ownder (La Maison Bisson) we popped over to Timothe's Cafe for lunch. My husband had "The Bowl" with smoked salmon and I had the pesto pasta with Buratta. They were both out-of-this-world good, super fresh and tasty, filling, and at a good price. Timothe was so nice to us, and made our experience even better with his customer service and his passion for food! Highly recommend!

I paid with my Visa card and was told by the cashier that my card didn’t go through so I paid in cash . They said it didn’t show in their register that it went through. My bill was 13 euro which is reasonable for a hotdog sandwich, tuna sandwich and a diet soda.i gave the cashier 15 euro and was given a change of 2 euro which i put in their tip jar. While eating, I checked my online banking and it showed a pending transaction of $15.29 (assumed it was the equivalent of 13 euro to USD. I showed them my phone which shows the transaction and they still insisted it didn’t go thru since it’s still pending which I doubted since all my other transactions that went thru that day were still showing in my transactions as pending. Since I don’t have all day arguing with them,I left the store and just planned to dispute this with my credit card company. . I have disputed this with my credit card and am being asked for documentations, I still have to check if I have kept my receipts . I am not taking down my review until I get my money back .

Great place for a quick sandwich - prices are good, staff are friendly and the food is tasty. Given most other options in the village are sit down restaurants with much higher prices, this is a welcome alternative for a lighter, faster lunch.

A nice spot for a quick and relatively affordable bite to eat in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Was pleasantly surprised to see a vegan quiche, which was yummy. The soup of the day was good too. Was a little pricey for what I got, but to be expected in a touristy hilltop village.

Really beautiful town! If you are close by you should really stop and take the time and just walk around. So many beautiful ateliers. Some really expensive some moderate, also local artists selling their art. Worth to buy some. Restaurants in this town look all good but are more on the expensive side. But probably with it. At least you get most of the time good views.

This is the most gorgeous little medieval village. The views out across the village walls look out across the rolling hills of the French riviera. While the valley is now populated with houses it is still phenomenally gorgeous and is well worth a visit.

Most amazing perfumes, the shop has been around since 1901, I think. Original owners, family run, these are made locally and is the only shop in all of France! We only buy from here, visited the place yesterday after two year. Highly recommend it, forget Grasse!! Vicky was very helpful!

I will never buy fragrance anywhere else since visiting this lovely place. Made several purchases and love them all. You’ll never find such unique and beautiful scents elsewhere. Was given a large bottle of Volupte as a thank you. Love it. You can order if you don’t live in France. We were also given a lovely book tracing the history of some of their scents. The blend of scents are heavenly. So glad I stopped in! The best customer service!

An amazing experience to visit Maison Godet in St.Paul de Vence. The village is so picturesque. The shop is beautiful with so much atmosphere and the perfumes are gorgeous. Sonia Godet is composing beautiful fragrances, locally produced with raw materials and cruelty free. Try her smells and you will be addicted. This shop is a real treasure for perfume addicted persons like me!

We went to visit this shop while we were in Saint Paul de Venice, the shop was charming and had a lot of selection of oils and vinegar. The gentlemen in the shop allowed us to taste the lemon olive oil with the balsamic pearls and it was wonderful. Great f9r salads. And the 30 yr old balsamic was nice and sweet. Enjoyed our visit and will most likely purchase more online

Best meal we had while visiting the French Riviera. A true dining experience. Beautifully crafted from start to finish. Received an amuse bouche before the meal and an apertif after, both included as part of the meal. I had the steak which was great, but the glazed carrots and cabbage were equally memorable. The cabbage shocked me by how tasty it was. My husband had the sea bass and loved it. It may be years before we return to the Riviera, but when we do, we will definitely be coming back!

I don’t usually give 5 stars and the food was not perfect, but the whole experience was so much more than a a simple 4. We had the 3-course lunch for about €30. The amuse was a dollop of cold squash drizzled in smoked olive oil and salt. Probably wouldn’t have ordered that but glad I tried it. We started with squash soup with delicious morsels and topped in foamy cream. Others had a bubbly melted goat cheese with choice of fresh truffles grated table-side or honey on top. For the main, 4/5 of us wisely chose pork filet mignon with oniony sauce and the other had a fish that smelled and looked very good. The chef seems anti-carb so don’t expect any potatoes, rice, or pasta. But that’s ok here. The flavors are worth it. If you can’t ever choose the best dessert, do like me and order the 7-dessert sampler. Cakes, cookies, gelato...all delicious. But the crown jewel was the soft, salted caramel that you eat with a spoon. And then the hostess/waitress/owner’s adorable little girl brought us shot glasses of gummy bears. I proclaimed, “this is the best restaurant ever!” Then empty glasses and three bottles were placed on the table: limoncello, amaretto, manzana. Sip on one or one of each. What a wonderful meal served by warm people in a cozy cave of a restaurant. Go here the next time you’re anywhere near this area of France!

Absolutely gorgeous food and view. Upon walking up a lovely lady recited the entire menu just for me, a solo traveller who looked a bit lost. The special of the day - chicken & mushroom with linguine was amazing that I cleaned the plate despite it being a huge portion. The dessert - nougat ice cream was very delicious as well.

Such a rude attitude was absolutely unacceptable for me so I left. I strongly don't recommend any non-French speakers to go there.

I had the chance to visit the beautiful village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence on a recent trip to the Cote d'Azur. The village is charming, with amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding mountains. Being an art major is college, I especially loved the many galleries, which displayed a variety of styles and artists. My favorite though would have to be Galerie Le Capricorne. I love the modern style and the artists affinity for animals. Above all, the gentleman in the gallery, I believe his name was Daniel, really made my visit special. Not only did he have a thorough knowledge of the artist and his work, but he made me feel at home by actually walking next door and buying me a coffee. After much deliberation, I finally bought a beautiful piece for my home that I'll display with pride.

Be very very careful if you deal with this gallery and ask to see the insurance policy if shipping overseas. We had damage in transit that cost about 5% of the cost of the painting to fix and got exactly nothing. This was despite being told we were fully insured. The painting was left with our concierge and on the excuse that the carrier did not see the damage their payment was zero. Somehow stretcher marks and bubble wrap marks were put there by us deliberately. Advice from a professional painting restorer was ignored. The salmon was full of dill and served with lots of sour cream. And the trout smoked on the fire was the best thing I have eaten in ages. We also loved the beautiful handmade potato crisps served with the aperitif. I would go far out of my way to pass through Vence in order to eat here. La Brouette is a truly wonderful restaurant.
