Ice cream shop
Lake Effect Ice Cream is a vibrant and contemporary frozen-treat establishment that crafts an extensive range of innovative flavors for both ice cream and ice pops. With an abundance of unique and captivating options available, the majority of which have been sampled and proven to be exceptional, there are also certain flavors specifically designed to appeal to children's preferences that have yet to be tasted. Additionally, this shop offers perennial favorites due to their immense popularity while constantly introducing new and exciting flavors annually.
First time coming into this place and it’s actually some of the best locally made ice cream I’ve had. Much better than Hoovers and I would even say Perry’s. The first picture is of hello dolly and the buffalo cheerio. The second picture is chocolate chip cookie dough. The added benefit I don’t like the big chocolate chips, they use mirco sized in their cookie dough!! Will definitely come back and get more ice cream over the summer!!

First, I love everything coconut but not this ice cream. I got a coconut ice cream cone. The coconut ice cream was not very coconutty and quite underwhelming. Though, it would be good for a sundae perhaps. I felt it had notes of butterscotch. The cake cone tasted like cardboard. I’m still open to try other flavors.
Michelle D — Google review
Wonderful hot day in Lockport near the canal! Perfect break from the heat. Delicious flavors and option for a flight to try multiple kinds at once. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and groovy music! Side note: bathrooms are very clean and fancy.
Kelsey D — Google review
The store is very clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and delicious ice cream with lots of flavors - normal and creative. Be aware - the scoops are very generous so if you order a double in a cone you better be ready to get licking - speaking from experience:)

Great ice cream in Lockport today. Great flavors and good pricing. Highly recommended

I have made a minimum of 20 trips to this local place with my kids so far this year. We are always greeted with a smile and have a pleasant experience. The staff is wonderful and courteous. The ice cream is truly amazing. Their unique flavors and upbeat atmosphere make visiting this place a must !

On a very hot Sunday, I was visiting the Lockport canal site. What a pleasant surprise it was to find Lake Effect Ice Cream right there! The ice cream was delicious - so many choices! The cool little dining room was a great place to enjoy our treats . Perfect location for visitors!!

Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride offers a unique experience, taking visitors on a guided historical tour through the 19th-century Erie Canal locks, tunnels, and caves. The tour explores the history of the historic Erie Canal Locks 67-71 known as the Flight of Five, providing insights into the construction process and showcasing artifacts left behind by the builders. Visitors can also enjoy an underground boat ride through a 1600-foot man-made tunnel that once powered industry along the canal.
I loved this attraction - the tour guide gave us glimpses into the Eerie Canal and how it was manmade, how young (many Irish) immigrants helped in the caves. I could understand why people think the caves in this area of the Eerie Canal might be haunted. Suitable for all ages.
Theresa J — Google review
Fun tour with informative tour guide. It's definitely worth checking out if interested in the history of the man made cave. Wish there was better light in some locations of cave as I tripped over a metal chain. Other than that my little family had a fun experience!
Kelsey H — Google review
I enjoyed this tour. It's not a natural cave but rather a penstock tunnel. Worth seeing, and you get a nice impression of the lock. Great to pair with a cruise on the canal. Tour guy was extremely friendly and nice. Management seemed to have an odd vibe. But highly recommend.
Grant B — Google review
Unique experience well worth the drive from Niagara Falls! Kat was our guide and she was awesome! Great energy and sense of humor along with awesome knowledge of the history and inner workings of the locks and caves. Highly recommend!
Amy F — Google review
We are visiting from MD and saw this Halloween Lantern evening tour, it was alot of fun in spite of the cold, rainy weather. The guide was funny and knowledgeable, and recognized the need to get us out of the rain and cold as soon as she could into the cave, yet still give all of the information she was supposed to. My only wish is that there was just a little more light to actually see the inside of the cave, and cut back on the fog machines because we could barely see enough to walk safely. It was still lots of fun and I appreciated them giving us the option to take the tour scheduled before the one we had tickets for. This is a family friendly tour, but I would like to put out there that there are quite a few steps to climb and alot of walking and needing to keep pace with your group. If you have any health issues, take that into consideration for your own comfort. Also, be sure to tip these guys and gals. Our poor guide was soaked and freezing and still kept going with a sense of humor.
Laura B — Google review
We were the last tour prior to the boat accident. No problems. Kyle was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and paying attention to every detail.
Patty B — Google review
This was an amazing experience. From learning about Lockport's early history to traversing the underground water tunnels. Our guide for the trip was Tony. He made the tour very interactive and injected humor into his repertoire of facts and historical deeds. I highly recommend this tour if you love history or the old lore surrounding the Erie canal. Very well done.
Chris B — Google review
Lots of history to learn and very cool sights to see. Start off walking along the canal to the cave entrance. Into the cave walking and then to the boat ride at the end. With all a lot of stops as the guide tells the history. Kyle was great! Definitely a must go and also can see all the canal locks and history after the tour.

The Erie Canal Discovery Center is a captivating museum that showcases the history and significance of the Erie Canal. It features multimedia exhibits, including the impressive Flight of Five Locks restoration and Raphael Beck's mural 'Opening of the Erie Canal.' Visitors can take a simulated canal boat ride to learn about the challenges faced by canawlers and explore interactive games that highlight 18th-century technology. The museum also offers insights into the construction, operation, and impact of the canal on New York state's growth.
Great small historical center. The head historian is very knowledgeable of the town history and leads the tours. The video experience is somewhat whimsical. Fun and informative for all.

What a nice little museum on the history of the locks. The 15 minute tour was amazing. The staff here are so nice and knowledgeable.
Erik H — Google review
Jennifer led a great tour of the locks. We also checked out both the museums, the smaller one at the lowest lock, and the main one up on the street level. The main museum has a fun video that mimics the experience of being in a boat from way back when, and there is an impressive gift shop too.
Leslie J — Google review
If anyone is wanting a non-adult opinion…hi there! I’m a 17-y-o boy, and I loved this place. The museum is pretty cool if you’re into historical things and is even better if you love water engineering. If you don’t like either…it can get a little boring, but that is easily remedied by actually walking out to the canal.
Tyler J — Google review
The actual visit was mid-April. First off, the intro movie was excellent! This was a great stop for kids to learn how locks work through their interactive wall model. The kids would follow the instructions to move a boat through a series of locks. Beautiful models displayed throughout. There were outdoor sites to see the original locks and another smaller museum with equipment! Beautifully set up and maintained. The little gift shop is also great! All in all ... I highly recommend supporting this museum!
Gina M — Google review
The museum is fantastic and the staff of top notch, their enthusiasm and passion for their town and the Canal made this an excellent stop.

This is a small museum, but you do learn about the Erie Canal and how it came about. The staff was polite and friendly and full of information about the museum and what to do around the town.

Lock 34 Bar & Grill is a locally owned establishment with an inviting atmosphere, tall ceilings, and an impressive selection of beer. This hangout also offers multiple televisions for entertainment while enjoying a diverse menu consisting of burgers, wings, and brick-oven pizza. The restaurant provides a high-end twist to traditional pub food options. Their attentive servers ensure customer satisfaction by recommending their popular beer cheese brat during Oktoberfest celebrations.
Peanut butter Hot coco (made alcohol free) and turkey burg on Gluten free bun. Very good! My boyfriend got the quesadilla and couldn't finish it. It was huge! And also yummy. Good food and great service.

Lock 34 is actually very good. I frequent this establishment and they have some stand-out dishes. Even when I haven’t been satisfied by something, which is extremely rare, they apologize and comp me without question. That’s what a business should do - Try to be better. I always get treated great by the staff. It’s always clean. They go above their contemporaries and don’t make you feel unwelcome. Get that disco ball spinning again!

The atmosphere, service, and food were great. We took our 14-month-old, and they gave us a high chair and a great food for the baby. I loved the place, the vibe, the food, the service... everything!
Andrea P — Google review
I've gotten takeout from here a few times and it's been mostly great. The pizza is good, on the smaller side so prepare for that if getting it for a group, but great flavor. The ranch is also incredible. I got chicken tenders last night that unfortunately were not great. The online ordering let's you choose the option for sauce on the side but it appears it doesn't print that way on the ticket so my tenders were DRENCHED in BQ sauce, so much that it was not good and hard to eat. They were soggy and literally drowning in the sauce. I also paid for extra ranch and only got one. And got celery and carrots which came in a little baggie that was set on top of the box of tenders so they were hot by the time I picked my order up. Disappointing dinner, but again I've had good experiences in the past.

Stopped in to Lock 34 after our bike trip from Niagara to Lockport. What a pleasant surprise. First of all the service was outstanding; genuine, friendly, efficient and professional. They were very accommodating and made a drink that was not on the menu and it was fantastic. The prices were great! The food was excellent. The side Caesar salad was huge! The wings and the asparagus were very good. You could choose to eat inside or outside, and both were lovely. The parking was easy and free. I would absolutely return to this restaurant.

Went there the other night after a long time away. So glad we decided to give it a try again & WOW has it greatly improved with the food. We also went at happy hour( which we didn't know so...Bonus!) Drinks were great. Our bartender was awesome and we even got to meet the chef and compliments were highly given. Pizza here used to be a downgrade, but DAMN they got it spot on now. Homemade dough, homemade sauce that tastes like the tomatoes were just picked fresh from a garden. PLEASE DON'T EVER CHANGE THE PIZZA! We got the brick oven Livingston Place pizza -Tomato sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. YUM! We ordered the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks served with cheese sauce and honey mustard too. I needed both ;) I also asked for a side of the pizza sauce to dip. It's that good. Even though the keep the sauce chilled for making the pizza it was worth every bite. Cannot wait to go back!

I placed an online order last week, but shortly after, I received a call letting me know they were temporarily out of gluten-free crust. I appreciated the heads-up and assumed my card would be refunded automatically. When a few days passed without the refund, I called and left a message explaining the situation. Melissa promptly returned my call, confirmed the refund had been processed, and went above and beyond by offering me a free pizza for the inconvenience. I ordered the steak and arugula pizza (no cheese) on their cauliflower gluten-free crust, and it was absolutely delicious. After speaking with Melissa, I followed Lock 34 on Facebook and noticed the restaurant had recently closed due to a sudden loss in their community—which explained the brief delay. Even in the midst of a difficult time, Melissa prioritized kindness and customer care. Delicious food, genuine service, and a business that truly values people. I’m always happy to support local, and Lock 34 has definitely earned a loyal customer in me.

The service was my first impression and I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. Our waiter didn't ask if we were ready to order for a while. Once she dropped off the drinks we had our menus down ready to give our order and she said she had to run food and she'd be back for the order. Well we waited a while. Once our order went in the food came out efficiently. Drink refills happened in a rush and she didn't clear the empty glasses. We were already placed at a table for two with three people in our party so it was frustrating. Plus they give you water glasses to start wether you ask for it or not. So with one refill each we had nine glasses at our table. I got the rodeo burger cooked medium temp. Bravo cooks :) it was cooked perfectly. The flavor of the BBQ, caramelized onions, cheese, and meat was sweet and savory. I got onion rings on the side. They are perfect too. Crunchy and just the right size. My fiance got the pulled pork nachos. He said the pulled pork was super sweet and delicious. Don't plan to get this meal in takeout though. It won't taste the same. You have to eat it after it was prepared. My daughter got medium boneless wings. She wasn't as happy about her meal. The wings has almost no sauce and medium is more like mild. I blame myself for this one. We should have asked for extra sauce on the side and about the heart of the wings.

The Palace Theatre is a stunning 1920s-era venue that offers a variety of entertainment options. It showcases current films, classic movies, and stage productions in its grand arch-ceiling theater. Additionally, the theatre provides a delightful shopping experience with an extensive selection of Christmas ornaments, trees, bulbs, holiday signs, and fabric decor. Visitors can also find exquisite homemade jewelry, glass ornaments, wool gloves and hats, macrame plant holders, as well as elves and nomes.
Any seat is great in this theater. And omg, the leg room. People in your aisle can just pass without you getting up or out of aisle for them.

Was here for a dance recital Theatre is very nice inside and clean. The sound system is amazing. Here are my issues it was very warm inside the theatre to the point where most everyone had a bead of sweat on their brows. I spoke with an attendant who said it takes awhile for the building to cool down - well should have addressed this sooner so the theatre was cool. Also the lines for concessions are all over the place making it very difficult to walk around and get either beer, wine or snacks. Crowd control posts would alleviate this problem. Also the bathroom was a mess with paper overflowing out of the waste basket. Overall the theatre is pretty nice - just needs a bit more management. Plenty of free parking on side streets and lots.
Nate H — Google review
This is a beautiful theatre and wonderful for all kinds of shows. Just be prepared for shows where there are many young children present. They do allow food (including popcorn) inside the theatre and it can get quite noisy. If you're a stickler for theatre etiquette, stick to Shea's. If you're looking for a fun night, with great performances and enjoy it no matter what GO!

Love the palace for musicals! Also recently went here with the school I work at for a movie field trip. Our students had a wonderful time and we so appreciate the palace staff/volunteers. Our school also goes yearly to the Spring musical and it’s a great experience for our school.

I attended my granddaughter's dance recital on Saturday, May 31. The theater was immaculate, and there were helpful people at the entrance to tell us where our seats were located. The only problem is the parking. But overall our experience at the Palace theater was a good one.

Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises offers a delightful way to explore the historic Erie Canal. The canal, which stretches 363 miles from the Great Lakes to New York City, is an engineering marvel that has been designated as a National Heritage Corridor. With daily cruises, Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises takes passengers through locks 34 and 35, providing an opportunity to witness the impressive Flight of Five locks dating back to the 1800s.
Highly Recommended! The locks are way cool. Riding a boat to go through the locks is even better. There’s a tremendous amount of history around the locks along with interesting activities, parks and towns all throughout the state of New York. The boat was nice with a lower and upper deck. I was able to get on the bow and enjoyed watching the locks open & close. The scenery was beautiful as we transferred between locks & before we turned around to go back. The crew was helpful and friendly. The captain narrated for portions of the trip and used his own sardonic wit to make it more interesting. Thanks for a great cruise on the Erie Canal!

Wonderful way to relive History. If you've ever wanted to go thru the Panama canal locks & haven't had an opportunity - this is just like that. Love that folks still use the canal for personal boating, kayaking, canoe.

Last of it kind and full of history. A great easy tour on the water with mix of amenities as bathrooms and available beverages while on the boat. Round trip about 45 to an hour. The boat operator's were fun and ingaging. Parking, open bathrooms onsite and gift shop. Additionally they have updated the building and have Indoor and large patio event space to rent. Weddings, corporate or private party's with boat services available. Was worth the visit.

Such a fun and informative tour! Our family loved our experience! It was really cool to be able to bring this bit of history to life for our kids. It's one thing to read about the Erie canal and its lock system in a history book, it's another to actually get to see and experience it!
Bekah C — Google review
My husband and I took the boat cruise through the locks and along the Erie Canal. It was a very warm day but a beautiful boat ride. The Captain and crew were very polite and friendly and gave a lot of history about the locks and the Erie Canal and how they both came about. It was so neat how to see how the locks work in getting the boats up to the level of the water on the other side of them. After climbing back through the locks , we traveled up the Erie Canal to the marina. There is a fee for the cruise, but it’s worth it!

We had our Mom's birthday here last weekend. Captain Mike was very easy to work with and accommodating. The food was fantastic, service was great, it was a beautiful venue and the boat ride on the canal was an awesome ending! The entire party had a fabulous time. Thank you so much for a wonderful & memorable birthday for our Mom!

The trail offers an easy hike with minimal elevation gain, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Along the path, there are benches where one can pause and appreciate the serenity of nature. The park boasts majestic oak trees that have stood tall for many years, including one over 250 years old.
Nice place for a quick hike. Well maintained and marked trails, and a few scenic spots to enjoy. Make sure to hit east side of park for the creek and waterfalls. Dog approved.

Such a peaceful place! Not very crowded in my experience Very easy hike with barely any elevation gain, so it is perfect for beginner hikers, pets, family outings. Through the trail, there are benches for quiet moments with nature. There are several glorious oaks, one is over 250 years old and another close to 200. A pretty little stream leads to a very picturesque waterfall whenever the water level isn't too low. You can even grab a picnic basket and have a picnic on one the fields

Tried it today. Totally expensive and really not that good. SS chicken small and overcooked. Fried rice had horrible meat in it. Hope they do well but need to consider better quality and price. Regret reviewing this 6 years ago, it's a solid staple that we have learned to love over the years.

Julia M — Google review
If you can't do Mayflower, then China King is the best Chinese takeout in Lockport. Located not far from Transit Road, they've got the American-style classics you'd want. All of the food is done well, and I've never had to wait too long for my food. Their lunch special is a great value, and they've got good selections for their specials in general. I can recommend their sesame chicken, pepper steak & onion, and any meat with garlic sauce. Their hot and sour soup is also the best I've had from a Chinese place to date. Now, some nitpicks. I've noticed of late that their "spicy" dishes taste a bit spicier than normal? Normally that's not an issue with Chinese food for me. If you get the hot & sour soup, try to eat it without refrigerating it. If you keep it in the fridge too long, it congeals into this slimy goop. It may be a common gripe with that kind of soup, though. Overall, they're pretty good! I'm glad they'd opened up shop a couple years ago, so I don't have to go out of my way to grab some Chinese food.

Stooges is a charming eatery that caters to various dietary needs, including gluten allergies. They take special care to avoid cross-contamination, which is a huge plus for those with sensitivities. The sausage burger Da Mike served on a gluten-free roll has received rave reviews for its deliciousness. While some visitors have found the burgers just average and noted the absence of gluten-free options during their visits, they appreciated the chef's creativity in crafting lettuce buns when needed.
It’s just a really cool building, with great parking! The food is unbelievable, the staff is always so friendly! The way the dining room is set up if you come with your family, you can sit around the corner from the bar area so you don’t have to worry about your kids acting crazy or not they can just be themselves in this place! Every time we come home from Houston, my son can’t wait to come here and get a peanut butter and bacon burger! We had a little bit of everything today really cool twist on the fried pickles with wasabi dipping sauce and of course the wings are bomb! On top of all this get out and support your local businesses so they’re there to provide you with this great food and great service for years to come. The owners are really cool people.

I have been here a few times. The burgers are ok. They dont have gluten free rolls or anything. The chef this past time did make a lettuce bun which I really appreciate!!! They didnt the time before. Cant eat the wings as they coat them in Flour!!!!! God knows why!!! Those are not real wings around here. The service is slow but always friendly. The drinks are great! Had a caramel apple mule and it was fantastic! All the fall vibes! The place is nice and has history. And right by the canal which is cool. Love the area.

A bit disappointed. I’ve been looking forward to trying stooges for maybe 3 years. Not in Lockport often. Food was good, but didn’t blow me away. Pics and description of options are impressive, but you’ve gotta deliver. Would try again, maybe an off night or I ordered the wrong thing. And it’s a bit pricey. $24 for a burger. I’ve had much better for half the price.

Walked here from our Canal boat atop Lock 35. Wasn't aware that the specialty was 'stuffed' burgers, as I was too busy enjoying a local beer with an old friend. Ordered the Mac in Cheese burger - it was AMAZING!. Tasty, perfectly cooked and stuffed with creamy and tasty Mac. Couldn't finish it! A first for me. I seldom report my meals on social media, and I NEVER photograph my food, but this burger deserved to be the exception. A little loud, and the decor was late 2010 'chalkboard chic' but the server was polite and attentive and the draft beer was fresh and cold. If I'm ever back in Lockport, or even nearby, I'm hitting Stooges again!

Super interesting building, good food, quick service, and right next the canal. Recommend if you're cycling through. Visit the discovery center first for a coupon!

What a great find for lunch while on a service call in the area! I had two different slider burgers. The Mini Kuz and The Stinger. Unbelievably delicious. I kept switching between burgers and the taste just kept blowing me away. I will definitely be back and with reinforcements!!

Went for a birthday lunch with my Mom and the food was great, servers were friendly and service was quick. Got a stuffed burger which was delicious and so big I had to save half of it, also got an order of smokehouse Mac to go which I got another couple meals out of. Portions here are fantastic and truly justify their price, completely worth

History Alert… I’m originally from the Gasport area and left in 1990 to travel the world with the military and ended up in central Minnesota. I used to go to a place called “The Sub Marina” in Lockport to get the sausage parm hoagie. When I came back in 1994 to visit that place was gone… no trace, just disappeared. About 4 years ago I was back home to visit and someone told me that I should try Sub Delicious, they’ve got good Western NY subs (it’s a thing!). And I mentioned that I missed The Sub Marina, and the person behind the counter said it had closed but reopened a few years later under SUB DELICIOUS!!! She directed me to the same hoagie that I was familiar with from The Sub Marina… SPOT ON! I’m back in MN now, but in a week while I was there, I had two of these sausage parms… one on the way to the airport. If you’ve never tried it… you’re missing out. The people are amazing and the food is delicious. Don’t think about it… just do it! Get that sausage parm and you’ll be blown away. <3 yum

Stinger sub with a side of fries....diet coke not pictured. Well done sub that's a fixture in WNY. Lettuce, tomato, onion, bleu cheese, and hot sauce. The only thing keeping it from being a 5 is the fingers weren't hot....closer to a low medium spice. Meal fit the bill at the halftime of a 9am-4pm dance recital at the Palace Theater. Atmosphere received a 3 because the bathrooms were closed. Really needed them as the bathrooms at the theatre had a line at the break. Hopefully they'll be fixed by next year's recital

Food is always great! I have gotten subs, pizza, and wings.Everything always taste the same as expected. The wings are amazing every time always crispy. Besides it tasting good it is carefully packaged with receipt and portion size and value for your money 5🌠! Very nice hardworking people in there, they have a good team. I always order online and my order is always ready in the time indicated . Even if it was late I wouldn’t be dissatisfied because the food is always worth the wait.

Everything from Sub D, is amazing! We're a huge fan of the pizza, cheeseburger, turkey club sub and curly fries! We've ordered from here for years, and it's our fav. Don't sleep on their chicken finger pizza!! It's literally the best ❤️

For the most part it was a good experience. But the only problem I have is the girl tammy who works there is always praying and in peoples business when I come in to order. She acts nice at first then becomes very rude to customers. I'm not sure why the deal is with tht. Then she asks me Abt people I have no idea or why she's asking me like I have no idea thts not my husband.

Steak Sub. Food is delicious as advertised. It is not like other sub places. They are consistent with their in quality. Atmosphere: nice busy at times, because the food is good. Plenty of seating. Parking: Lots of parking available.

I was at a Summer fest concert at Rich Stadium and ran into friends from Lockport. My friend asked me if I wanted a half sub? I told her that I was just about to go up to the food services and get something. She gave me a half of a Steak Hoagie. It was fantastic. I have been buying them ever since. Sub Delicious has better subs and hoagies than some well known Buffalo brands. I get a Steak Hoagie with no tomato, dry (no mayo or dressing), no oregano, and about a little more than half the amount of onions that would be put on, but fried. I have also had their 'beef on weck'. But I have it on a Kaiser roll. I have also had their breaded Chicken wings. Both are very good. And last I have had slices of their pizza which is very good. They have plenty of space to sit and the service is great. They also have takeout and delivery. I order ahead and then go to their Locust Street location. A lot of times it is ready when I get there or I only have a short wait. I am over in the Tudor Lane apartments area. Oz 🙂🕕 I call ahead for an order

Tom's Diner is a charming retro-style spot that specializes in classic breakfast dishes like omelets, waffles, and breakfast burritos. It has become a beloved place for many families, especially during the pandemic when routines were disrupted. The staff are known for their exceptional hospitality and welcoming attitude towards all guests, including those with special needs. While the food may not be considered gourmet, it offers traditional diner fare at reasonable prices.
We wanted to try a local place for breakfast. I saw a review and it looked good. Everything was excellent. The eggs were cooked perfect, the toast on point. The bacon was crisp but not too crisp. We loved the homefies. Lastly, the pancakes were huge, fluffy and excellent. If you want a cozy home atmosphere with a great breakfast, try Tom's Diner in Lockport, NY. We also feel good to support the small local businesses.

This is a local diner complete with waitresses who call you 'honey'. We were here as tourists, but were recommended here by a local. Service was fast, and cheerful. Coffee was diner perfect, and our served never let me see the bottom of my cup. Needing a lighter breakfast, I skipped the home fries and Bacon opting instead for scrambled eggs and an English muffin. Wife had eggs Benny and home fries (with grilled onions) . our food was excellent and came to about $25 including tip.

Had a delicious breakfast here yesterday morning. Love the French toasts - so satisfying! Pancakes were soft and fluffy, sausage patties were delicious. Bacon was slightly overcooked but overall the food was delicious, atmosphere was clean, quiet and peaceful. Staff was friendly. Hidden Gem in Lockport will visit again. Highly recommended.

The service was fantastic and the food was better. My country fried chicken was cooked to perfection, my eggs were eggcellent and the home fries were delicious. Even the coffee was fantastic. Great spot for breakfast. I'll be back for lunch tomorrow.

Tom's Diner truly captures the essence of a classic diner experience, blending a rich history with exceptional service and delectable food. It's the kind of place that transports you back to the golden era of diners, where every meal feels like a nostalgic journey. My wife and I enjoyed a delightful breakfast there, abundant in portion and wonderfully tasty. It was a memorable visit that reminded us of what a real diner is all about.

Tom's Diner is a hidden gem! Classic diner vibes, friendly service, and delicious food that hits the spot every time. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and everything tastes homemade. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Let's start off by saying that the waitress, Coleen, was fantastic. She was very friendly and polite. So I gave service 5/5 because of her. Atmosphere I gave a 3/5 because the walls were dirty and there were cracks in certain places. The art on the wall was really nice to look at, but the dirt on the walls was a distraction from the beautiful art. The ice machine was very loud and sounded like a toilet flushing. It's right where you're eating, so it's hard to ignore it. As for the food. My wife and I ordered 2~2~2 (she had pancakes and I had french toast) with bacon and a side of sausage patties. The sausage patties tasted exactly like the ones you get from the frozen box at your local supermarket. I paid $4.25 for the side of sausage patties that came with 2 of them. Wasn't worth it. The bacon was very crispy and very thin. It was way too crispy that you couldn't even taste the flavor of bacon. The eggs were great. They tasted fresh and homemade. Both the pancakes and the French toast tasted extremely sweet before even putting on the syrup. The orange juice tasted very concentrated, like one you'd get from the hospital. Personally, I wouldn't go here again. This can be someone's type of forte, but it just wasn't mine.

This is a beautiful facility. Two ice pads that are sledge hockey friendly. Other features are a snack bar, party room, gym and a restaurant. They also have skates available at what appears to be no charge and something I've never seen before, ice bumper cars.

Mark's Pizzeria is a delightful family-friendly establishment that offers a wide array of classic and inventive pizzas, all crafted with hand-tossed dough and an impressive selection of toppings. This cozy pizzeria chain also features mouthwatering chicken wings, hearty subs, and comforting pasta dishes. Diners can enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere while savoring signature pies or indulging in seasonal treats like the delectable strawberry calzone—an absolute must-try dessert!
Friends and family love the pizza and wings. We’ve never had an issue. We recently tried the boneless wings and wow - those might just be our new favorite! They have a seasonal calzone, the strawberry is hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had especially with the icing it comes with. We live outside of the delivery area but take the drive to pick it up, that’s how much we enjoy it.
Heather W — Google review
Absolutely disgusted, after like 4 times of them always getting my orders wrong. I have decided to try one more time. They can never make anything right or correct except slices! My calzone is disgusting! Only one slice had 20+ pepperoni and the rest of the calzone had none! The owner needs to take control of these children working at night. You just slap a stack of pepperoni on a calzone not even cooked ! What is wrong with yous !
A W — Google review
Trash was overflowing from trash can when I arrived. I ate and drank stayed one hr and finished my meal. I saw Two employees took breaks individually sat next to trash can. People just continued stuffing their pizza boxes into and on top of can...right infront of employees! The employees saw this. I even said to one employee on break eating as I tried to just throw out napkins into trash...I said wow this is over filled. No response, just a look. I said oh, your eating now but just so you know thanks. Just before I left this couple told other employees in the kitchen, and 1 person came out to change it. I just wonder how long this trash sat before I got there. It wasn't too busy.
Philip W — Google review
Ordered a giant pan pizza, cheese and pepperoni, plus 10 wings medium. Opened pizza, plain cheese. Zero sauce on wings. Would not recommend this place for pizza/wings. Ordered from this location once before, about 8 months ago. Just wings, no sauce.

Tried ordering a ham or turkey club which means bacon,i got a hamand turkey no bacon, was spitting sub so half it,could not eat half of a half.it was nasty, ended up throwing it out,
Timothy D — Google review
Terrible experience this time, really out last few haven’t been stellar with order mixups. This time, our take out boxes were labeled entirely incorrectly, calzones uncut although we requested within our order, and there was minimal filling. Not sure how a meat lovers calzone ends up in a box with Buffalo chicken on it and the pizza topping calzone had the meat lovers label- again, you can see the minimal filling in the Buffalo chicken. A piece of toast was thicker. Very disappointed for this experience.

Marina
Widewaters Marina, located on Market Street right on the Erie Canal, has recently undergone renovations and now offers a variety of watercraft launch options. The marina is set to expand its offerings in 2018 to include kayak rentals, making waterfront fun accessible to all. Visitors can enjoy the shaded park area with large trees and a new kayak launch. Across the street, there's an ice cream shop and restaurant for a tasty meal after a day on the water.
The park is beautiful!! A nice place to be on a hot Summer day. It is shaded by beautiful large trees! It is right on the Erie Canal. You can launch all different types of watercraft. I really like the new kayak launch that was built here! It was my maiden voyage, so I was nervous about launching, but it went well! There is also a ice cream/restaurant across the street! Yummy!

If you're unfamiliar with the area, you may not be aware of the hidden gem that is Day Road Park. This park boasts numerous soccer fields and a spacious open green area that also functions as a model airplane airfield. Additionally, there is a scenic nature walk adorned with memorial trees and a festive Santa cottage during the holiday season. The playground is expansive and welcoming, providing an ideal space for children to release pent-up energy after spending all day wearing masks.
It was a very nice walk. We had a good time watching the boats go through the channel. And the Boba/ ice cream shops treats were delicious

Always clean when I go. Only thing that could use some work is making the ground more even where the end of the slides are. Anytime it rains a puddle forms underneath those mats and you don’t think it’s there till your shoes are soaked.

My two daughter age 4 and 6 absolutely love going to this park in the spring and summer . Always clean and lots of room for animals . Or jogging . In the winter time the Santa's house is a excellent idea when you dont wanna pay 60$ at the mall for a picture with Santa . You get to take all the pics you want and they are absolutely amazeing with the kids . From the moment we stepped into the Penalty Box, we were treated to exceptional service. We received a warm welcome and were seated immediately. Emma, our server, recommended the fried pickles as an appetizer and pizza for our main dish, which arrived promptly and lived up to our expectations. I order from here almost every night, tonight however, when I ordered, I got 2 kids burgers that were completely raw with blood coming out. Even if burgers here are made med-rare, kids burger should not, as kids as picky. Both of the fries in each box were completely cold and rock hard. Sad when I order from here 5/7 nights a week because I work all day.

Subway is a laid-back, counter-service eatery where you can craft your own sandwiches and salads to suit your taste. With a focus on health-conscious choices, it’s an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy fresh ingredients in their meals. While the food is undeniably delicious and the service meets expectations, the overall ambiance could use some improvement for a more enjoyable dining experience.
Food was GREAT! Service was good, atmosphere could have been better. I don't mind swearing but there's a time and place for it.

From a business perspective this place is ran absolutely terrible. There’s only ever 1 person working and THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT OF SOMETHING. I do doordash/uber and no exaggeration every time i come in i’m told “we don’t have this”, “we don’t have that” “we don’t have steak” “we don’t have footlong cookies” “we don’t have chicken” “we don’t have bacon”Who ever is doing the ordering NEEDS to do better because 95% of the time I’m canceling my order because they don’t have something. Save your self the time and go to the subway right up the street inside walmart or another minute up the road on Dysinger. This place needs to either start taking their store more seriously or just close.

Definitely done ordering from this location! First off, they always mess up the orders, or they are out of ingredients, but now this! Placed an order for pickup up, order goes through, I'm charged. Order is confirmed and says it is being made, then says it is ready. I arrive, and the doors are locked! Its 6:10pm on a Sunday and they are supposed to be open till 8:30pm! I call the number on the door, and all I get is a busy tone! No way to cancel the order either since it says its made already! And to top it off, I placed a new order for the one on Robinson and it ended up being cheaper, so they are charging more then other locations!

This Subway is absolutely terrible. Every time I have ordered from here, my order is incorrect, something is "missing" but I am not told about it until I go to pick up my order, after I have already been charged. Today I placed an order online, waited for it to say my order was ready, only to get to the location and the store was closed. Door locked, lights off, no one inside, although the door said it was open until 8. My card was charged for my food, only to not be available. I will never order from this location again.
Amanda H — Google review
Absolutely filthy, always out of several things, and full of little kids climbing on the counters and tables every time I go in, clearly one of the employees children as there are never any other adults in there. I didn't know subway was also a daycare, but that has to be against a health code or something.
William — Google review
Came from out of state and this is the most disgusting, trashy, dingy subway I have ever been too. Don’t even wanna eat the food never coming back here. The worker has her vape and weed on a table and is smoking inside and the trash doesn’t look likes it’s been emptied in days. Flys are buzzing around and the workers made no attempt to clean the place.
Madeline B — Google review
Utterly pathetic. 3 separate occasions in as many weeks. Show up for lunch...no bread. Nothing. Excuse? The bread machine is broken. How can a SUBWAY stay open with no bread? Hmmmm....unmotivated staff, perhaps. Either way...never coming back. If I really want Subway, the one on Dysinger/Robinson is clean and always seems to have bread.
J M — Google review
Trash all over the place, half of the fountain drinks aren’t working, and there are 3 kids between the age 1-5 behind the counter messing around. Also asked for me sub to be toasted and they put it in for only a few seconds. Cheese was hardly melted and meat was cold

Nestled conveniently across from Day Road Park, Parkside Drive-In is a delightful new eatery that specializes in burgers and hot dogs. This charming spot boasts a pristine environment with a fresh, modern vibe. The young staff members are exceptionally friendly, ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable and efficient.
Very friendly staff Awesome service Vast variety of good food! Convenient location next to the park. Highly recommended to visit

Cute new burger & dog joint right across from Day Rd Park. I liked the setting, the place was squeaky clean & everything brand new, servers though young were very friendly, food didn't take long. The food I had was decent but portions seemed small for the price (which seemed a little high to me). However, they had a lot of meat & sandwich options for a hot dog stand. & They sell local sausage (Scapaletti's). & Some ice cream, too. There's also a bakery right next door ("Half- baked"). They have indoor & outdoor(w/umbrella) picnic tables. Overall it's a nice little stop & in a great spot for families coming from the park.

I tried this place twice. The first time I ordered a Zweigle white hot and macaroni salad. The white hot was very dry and the outside had very little color (barely brown). The Mac salad was basically macaroni and mayonnaise. The quantity of the Mac salad was about the same as two (2) supermarket sample sizes or an espresso shot cup. On my second trip, I just ordered the two cheeseburger special (advertised at the counter as cheeseburgs). Each cheeseburger came on a bun with 1 napkin each which was already unusable as the grease and juices were already soaked up into the napkins. The cheeseburgers were fine but nothing special, although they were juicy. There are no napkin dispensers to get more. You must stand in line to get more napkins. Also the only two condiments on display are ketchup and mustard which you must return to the front counter to dispense them. The place isn't horrible however it's not customer friendly as far as atmosphere and overall convenience. It just seems awkward to me. I think you get more bang for your buck at Texas Roadhouse, TGIF, or any other place that has a burger on their menu. I don't personally care for Applebee's however I'm told that they do make a good burger. Also, as I'm sitting here writing this review, the staff are openly complaining about the customers. I am a good 15 to 20 feet away and I can clearly hear them. I would say Parkside Diner is adequate at best. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it, especially after witnessing the inappropriate complaining by the staff.

Burgers, nuggets and fries all not crispy and rubbery. Fries looked like they weren’t done cooking. Won’t go back for a bit, which is sad because last year it was way better. :( Employees were very sweet, didn’t know how the food was until we got home.

Parkside is a nice, clean, summer eatery conveniently walkable near Day Road Park in Lockport. Although a bit pricey.... the food, quality and portions are good. They also value local brands (Scapelletis).... It's a good menu with something for everyone, served by a good staff of summer bound students. We enjoy our visits

food was okay but had to put honey on a napkin, disturbing because the workers judge and talk about you the whole time because i ordered a kids meal, employees seem lazy and just standing around. when i left, they were all staring and standing at the window.

First time trying Parkside Drive in since moving to Lockport. I was sadly disappointed because I drive by all the time and it looks like a cute spot. The food was subpar and way overpriced. It cost $35 for a few items for two people. Gave the soft serve ice cream a try and had to throw it out because it was chunky. The girl at the counter was nice but tried saying it was just ice chunks from it being so hot out. Definitely not ice chunks, it was small soft chunks.
Kyla K — Google review
Stopped here for ice cream. We were directed to go to the ice cream side. Then to order we had to go back to the front, only to have to go back to the ice cream side to pick up our order. Honestly I was very disappointed in the vanilla custard. It was an icy consistency, and not creamy at all. I'll stick with going to Jamie's in North Tonawanda.

Reids has been a beloved staple since 1955, drawing in locals and visitors alike with its mouthwatering offerings. After years of driving by and seeing long lines, I finally decided to indulge in their famous double cheeseburger topped with sauce and crispy onion rings, paired perfectly with a loganberry drink and a rich raspberry milkshake. The experience was nothing short of delightful!
I have been going to Reids since 1955..ok I am old. Growing up I loved the White Hots with sauce and fries. When I was 18 I went to college and came back summers and indulged in my favorite dogs. My mom lived nearby, so visits to her included visits to Reids. Then my mom moved away in 2011 and that was it. However I got the cravings. Earlier this month my mom passed at 102. This meant a trip to Lockport from NYC for the Burial. So I strategized the trip with White Hot Dogs in mind. When we arrived in Lockport we headed straight for Reids. When I turned onto Lockport Olcott road nearing Reids my mouth watered. It was a beautiful March day, 2025, I ordered my 2 white hots with sauce. I bought my Daughter in Law one as she had never experienced this. They were exactly the way they were years and years ago. So amazing. This is one of the treasures in American that we never forget. I will be back someday....

My goodness. I used to drive by after eating lunch on the way through over the last 15 years seeing the lineups of people and thought I need to eat here. Why did I just eat chain fast food. So I finally came and made a point of visiting. I dont know what to try so I asked 4 people what to get and the consensus came quick: a double cheeseburger smothered with sauce and onion rings , loganberry drink and raspberry milkshake, $13. What a meal. Best quick service meal I've had in a very long time. Maybe best I've ever had. Great job and now I know why this place is usually lined up most of the day. Greetings from Canada.

Reid's is a classic roadside hots stand that has been around for over 75 years. When I say roadside, I mean that literally. You are standing on the sidewalk when you order. The prices are very very reasonable and the quality is great. It's close proximity to the Erie Canal trail makes it a perfect stop on a long bike ride.

Hands downs best plain burgers and hot dogs around i can eat so many... their awesome prices and top notch milkshake. Super fast like true fast food.... now the only bad thing and I mean the only bad thing i can think of is which if you order as family it comes out in big pile of food and hard to tell whose food is who but not even mad just could be touch better... other than that Ill be back again and again

Love the White hot and the Red hot. Amazing flavors that you don't often get. Plenty of other great things on the menu and ice cream for dessert. There are plenty of picnic tables and some indoor seating too.

I stopped here for a hotdog and onion rings, delicious. Don't let the long lines fool you, service is quick. They have picnic benches in the shade and lots of parking. The prices are decent as well.

I’ve been coming to Reid’s since I was a kid, and it’s still just as good as ever. The food is always tasty and reasonably priced. Even if the place looks busy, don’t let that fool you—the service is fast and efficient. A classic spot that never disappoints.

Bowling alley
Miniature golf course

Sports complex
Allie Brandt Lanes in Lockport, NY offers a smoke-free environment for families and leagues to enjoy bowling. They host cosmic bowling with special effects lighting and music on select evenings. The Free Summer Bowling program is popular among families, and the center also accommodates leagues. The arcade selection may be limited at times, but the food is good and reasonably priced.
This place made me really enjoy bowling again. Brian is always helpful, and he runs the place really well. Haven't had any problems with the lanes working properly. I even decided to buy a ball from the pro shop and he helped me every step of the way when I wasn't sure what would be best for me. I almost bought one online and I'm glad I went with the local pro shop after experiencing the process, the prices are very good in comparison, drilling is included too. After being in a league when I was a young kid I stopped for a while and probably bowled a total of 30 times with my wife or friends in the last 20 years. Since finding this place I've been going as much as I can and really enjoying it again. Brian remembers your name, gives you tips, and is always accommodating even when I'm a solo bowler, it's rare someone treats you like that when you're just the new guy around. I'll be joining a league next year because of how welcoming the whole staff has been. There are plenty of Big Lebowski and King Pin references around too... that's how I knew I was in the right place. Bowling needs more people, it's a blast and something you can continue to do into your later years. This is the place to go to get rolling again if you've been away for a bit or just getting started in the sport.

I visited today with a friend and our two 7-year-olds to take advantage of the Kids Bowl Free program. We were excited for a fun outing, but unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. When we went to pay, we forgot to mention our coupons right away. The woman helping us was abrupt and said, "You need to tell us at the beginning that you have a coupon." While we understood the policy and apologized, her tone came off as unnecessarily rude. After getting the kids’ shoes, we asked which lane we were on, and she responded with, "Well, I already told you two times, but you're on lane 25," again with a noticeable attitude. I politely apologized and thanked her for repeating the lane number, but it was clear she was frustrated and made us feel like helping us was a burden. We were really looking forward to this visit, but the lack of courtesy from the staff member took away from the overall experience. Hopefully, some customer service training can help improve future visits for families like ours.

This bowling alley is truly phenomenal. We always have a great experience, but I'd like to note their kindness and patience. I work with folks with Developmental disabilities, and they always treat us with respect, and are so welcoming. Most businesses dislike when we come in. We have tax exceptions, separate receipts etc They're so accepting and gracious. I hope they keep thriving for many years to come 💜

My wife and I go every Wednesday evening, due to the great discount they offer. It is always a blast. Front desk employees are friendly and the ownership will always go out of thier way to help you with anything you may need. Would, and have, always refer anyone to bowl here. Charles.

It is Friday so it was supposed to be $5 a game. I told the guy i wanted 4 games . I used my $10 off coupon and paid the $4 dollars for shoes. It was for me, my son, and his gf. It came to $ 22 which was great. We ordered food played through one game started our second game and as we got into bowling our 3rd ball the screen says to continue to play see counter. As we asked him at the counter he said thats not what we paid for which indeed it was. Who would pay $22 for 1 game like thats Ludacris. He said if we wanted to finish the second game and play 2 more games i would have to pay an additional $43. So no i will not go back to be scammed again. To the owner: Your website should state as so that it's per person as nobody wants to pay $22 per game or explained at the counter.Thats ridiculous.

Rainbow Skateland in Lockport, NY is a well-established family-owned skating rink that has been a popular recreational spot for over 60 years. It offers activities for all ages and various skating abilities, including family skates, preschool programs, laser tag, mini-golf, and bounce houses. The facility also features an arcade with numerous video games to complement the skating experience. Visitors can rent clean and newer-looking skates at the rink and even get assistance devices for beginners.
Kids love Skateland!! We're are always the last ones to leave. Great value for the time you get. Kids love the 4 corners game !! Can't day enough goods things about the place. Shame most kids don't know how to skate... This was my generation's go to for parties and field trips.
Christopher — Google review
It's a nice rink however...they have a section blocked off that makes it much smaller so it gets crowded easily. That makes it harder to skate with all the kids in the way. The most disappointing part is the music. The DJ just kept playing slow or silly love songs. No fun songs that get you grooving and that's what skating is all about.
Doom T — Google review
We went on a Saturday night. There was hardly anyone there which gave us the whole place basically to ourselves which was nice. The skating floor was smooth. The music was kinda boring. Half the arcade was down. Mini golf was good. The kids did win lots of tickets and prizes were pretty cheap. Clean. So all in all good place to skate.
Pazienza P — Google review
I don't have any other skate rink to compare this to, so this is based on one experience. I wasn't part of purchasing the birthday package, but it seemed like a good deal- pizza and drinks, party gift bags, we had the party seating area for 2 hours and then moved into the general area, but were still allowed to skate. The rink is a good size, not too small and not so large that you lose your kid. They have walker-assists and offer both standard rollerskates and rollerblades, which saved me. Bathrooms were older and well used, but clean, as was the rink and party area. Seats and tables were in good shape. Has a nice arcade area too with several options, machines/games appeared newer and in good condition, they all appeared to be operational. Girls had a great party and their relative told me they come here often. Would definitely recommend as a party place for younger kids or a general fun outing.

It's a great family friendly place. There's ample parking. There's an arcade as well as a mini putting area in the complex.
Swaroop S — Google review
So here's the skinny, we had a party for my daughter that had to be rescheduled because of Snowvember and luckily almost everyone was able to make it and the lady made it easy to reschedule. Communication prior to the party was great as well. The rink is large and offers plenty of space. Its reasonably priced to throw a party for your child. There are different party packages we took the second option with unlimited soda, two pizza's and aparty favor for every kid. The kids had a lot of fun. The were a few issues one was that it cost three dollars per PVC Roller Skating Trainer which I had to purchase for more than half the kids - very unexpected expense. If they told me before hand I would have been better prepared. Also the pizza didnt have any taste whatsoever and you are not allowed to bring in any food other than a cake or cupcakes. Also they only turned the blacklights on at the end of the skate, it would have neen nice to have them on the whole time. The last issue was there wasnt any soap to wash your hands in the mens room, dont know about the ladies room. Would have given them 5 stars if it wasnt for the issues listed. Overall it was a great experience, though.
Nate H — Google review
Fun for the whole family, snack bar, arcade games. They hold birthday parties as well.
R. W — Google review
This was an impromptu father Sonday mission. Since my son had been practicing ice skating I thought it might be nice to try skating and bring back some memories of my childhood. Well this place definitely nailed it. 👌 first I found that they have great skates there to rent- very clean and newer looking. Also i got my son a skating assit thing with wheels for like 3 dollars. That was a great way to get him going in the ring. The skating itself was pretty empty probably because there was a game going on? That was great because we got to practice. There is a food area there but we didn't bother as we assumed no vegan options. My son also liked the arcade. We had a great time. I definitely recommend this place.

I really caught up on Rogers and Hammerstein, and have a much better knowledge and appreciation. And the performers: excellent singing, precise timing in their choreography and dancing, and clever transitions from one song to the next. I really hope this wonderful and talented group performs this show and others many more times in many more theaters!

I had my wedding reception here on June 21st, 2025. My wife has celiac disease, and many venues were going to force us to use their catering, and none of them could guarantee a 100% gluten-free menu. We found the Kenan by chance at a wedding event, and when they told us we could use our own catering, we were immediately on board, even before seeing the location. Once you see the location, the building is beautiful for a wedding. It doesn't need much to spruce it up as it has a classical beauty to it. If you're considering using Kenan for a wedding venue, take my advice and book them. They are extremely easy to work with and offer a super fair price for a wedding venue! Plus, they have excellent AC for summer weddings, and the way the building is set up allows a dance floor to be in a different room than the main dining room, allowing guests to talk in a more quiet area while dancing is going on. They also allow you to purchase a time slot the day before your wedding to set up, as I've been to weddings where they won't let you set up until the morning of. This ability to have the reception set up and ready to go 24 hours before the big day cannot be overstated. While we were planning our wedding, the Kenan hired an event coordinator by the name of Jimmy Lewis, who has a whole career of making events amazing! You can clearly see he loves his work, and it showed in how he worked with my wife and me to make our day special. Once Jimmy came on, there was a collective sigh of relief from both myself and my wife, knowing that he was dotting all the Is and crossing all the Ts. He met with us as many times as we needed to review the plan of the day and helped us figure out things we didn't even know about. Because of his experience running events, he knew to ask the questions that would arise on the day of the event. Speaking of the day of, he ran it like clockwork! He was a shadow in the background, popping in and out of locations, ensuring everything was in order, proper, and taken care of. He knew the schedule of the day and probably had memorized it and would appear at my side letting me know "first dances in 15 minutes" and then "first dance in 5 minutes" and then when we went over the time slot for photos he seamlessly moved everything back and made sure all the guests knew where to be and when. Looking back, I would have paid an agency thousands of dollars alone for the confidence and talent that Jimmy brings. But he comes with the beautiful package that is the Kenan. Please give Kenan and Jimmy your patronage, as they truly deserve it above any and all other reception locations in the Buffalo area. Additionally, by hosting your wedding or event at the Kenan, you are helping to preserve a bit of history with the building.

Exploring the Bewley Building was an absolute delight during my self-guided tour! This stunning landmark in Lockport, NY, is a treasure trove of local history that truly captures the essence of the area. While I couldn't help but feel nostalgic for the charming "Old Time Lockport" vibe that seems to be fading away, it’s clear that supporting small businesses is vital for keeping this downtown alive.
I heard there's a new earl change station going in here.
Timothy S — Google review
The building itself is fine and the many businesses within have been wonderful. The parking lot is usually overflowing and street parking is hard to get. Unfortunately, there are loiterers making the parking situation worse and the walk to the building a bit of a hassle.

Never ever a place I feel safe. Unfortunately, I had to bring someone in need here and as always the experience was awful. There really should be at least two guards on duty here at all times. I don't suggest sending anyone in this building unaccompanied.

Parking is horrendous! Make all this money and have absolutely no parking for the employees that work here. Even if you buy a permit for your suite still is for one spot when you have 10 plus people in a suite absolutely insane.

Attended the food truck event. Was disappointed..the size of our food (fries) was terrible. A restaurant said they would be.. didn't realize selling their product from a different vendor. If they were to have it again, I'm not sure if I would go again. Maybe to another vendor.

Beautiful well kept Lockport, NY landmark building. I only wish more of our once lovely quaint "Old Time Lockport" was still around. Far too many of our historical beautiful old buildings which had such character are long long gone ..... We need to continue supporting our locally owned small downtown businesses. These stores are our reason to shop and walk our dying downtown. We dropped off food and baby items for donation to the recent tragedy in Buffalo, NY. This store was Terroir General Store. What a unique place - full of farm fresh produce, coffee and tea, specially foods as well as handcrafted items. Thankfully the stores and their owners in the Bewley Building are nothing like the big box stores on Transit.

If you're on the hunt for a delicious meal, look no further than Frankie's Pizza & Subs! This gem in Lockport is a must-visit, especially if you crave wings that are crispy and saucy. Diners rave about how the meat falls right off the bone, making it an unforgettable experience. The chicken finger pizza is surprisingly delightful and has won over many skeptics with its unique flavor. Plus, their taco salad never disappoints—it's consistently fresh and tasty.
YOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Do NOT sleep on Frankie’s. Today, I ordered extra, extra, extra crispy and extra, extra, extra saucy and this place SHOWED 👏 UP 👏 The meat came right off the bone. Best wings I’ve had in Lockport in a loooong time. Put them in your takeout rotations. Subs always on point, too. FRANKIES 4E!!!!

The chicken finger pizza 😘 never did I think I would like it but it blew my mind! Also had the wings and they were amazing.

Taco salad always consistent and it's why we love this place also best put wings Italian style! 😋

The food was very good. I ordered a large pizza and a bucket of wings. It was over $100. Plus, although the taste was good, what they consider a large pizza, the rest of the world knows as a medium. I was disappointed in the size of the large pizza.Taste was very good.....overpriced, and they dont give you a legit large pizza

I ordered a steak & cheese sub by phone a few months ago. When I picked it up, it had been sitting on top of the pizza oven. I drove 2 blocks home & when I opened it, it was so soggy it couldn’t even be picked up. I couldn’t even eat it. But I figured it was probably a one off from it being on top of the oven. Today, I tried again. This time I ordered there & waited for it. As soon as it was ready, I drove home 2 blocks & same thing. The roll was wrinkled and wet. The paper wrapping was wet all around it. I ordered light oil & mayo and that was done correctly. Idk whats making these subs so soggy. It’s finely chopped meat, so don’t know what kind of “steak” that is. You can imagine the condition of the lettuce. It was completely inedible. This is Buffalo NY. Steak & cheese sub is a classic here. No excuses for this. The absolute worst.

Always have great food when I order from here. First time getting subs and was one of the best stinger subs I've had! My go to in Lockport

I stopped in here because the business at the other end didn't want my chihuahua inside. I was stuck in the area waiting for a veterinarian visit and since the employees here didn't seem to mind my pup, it was a definite plus. I ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap and it wasn't half bad. They didn't offer tzatziki sauce or any kind close and I didn't want it to be dry so I simply asked for extra 'Greek' dressing. My mistake, as it was drowned in it. Not necessarily a bad thing but it was a bit much. The chicken was soft, juicy and tender. The fetta cheese was plentiful. The black olives were abundant and the lettuce wasn't overused. I can only speak for the one wrap I had but I will say it was good. Not excellent but not awful. The price was decent enough for the size. I will probably go back at some point to try something else and I'd possibly recommend.

Overcharged once again. Some of the crust was burned a little bit, which I don't mind, but my wife said it looked like someone ate it. Really wish they would get it together there. Ordering from you guys less and less

Papa Leo's Pizzeria is a beloved gem in Lockport, known for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Many patrons rave about their experiences, highlighting the friendly staff who remember regulars by name, creating a warm community vibe. Emma and Damien stand out for their exceptional service and dedication to customer satisfaction. Even newcomers are impressed by the phenomenal food and kindness of the team, making it an ideal spot for both pizza lovers and those seeking variety—like their surprisingly delightful burritos!
First time here. What a great experience. Staff were super nice, and the food was phenomenal. My first pizza in New York and Papa Leo’s will be my go to place in Lockport! Emma, Mike, Scott & Darien were awesome.

Man I hate the drag down local businesses, but this experience ruined it for me. We ordered online, which I’d never suggest to anyone ordering from here. The app said it’d be done in 30 mins. I get there and they can’t find my order. Turns out they hung the ticket and never told anyone else. So they say it’ll be another 20-25 mins. I get it, mistakes happen. I worked at a pizza joint for 9 years. So I’ve seen it all. So I wait 25 more mins in my car and go back in. Mind you, I’ve only seen 2 people go in to pick up their orders during the 30 mins I’ve been there.. so not busy at all. At least to my standards.. I go back in and they tell me it’s gonna be a bit longer. I’m now watching them work to kill the time. It’s obvious they missed a few of my items… they scramble to get my order together. I finally walk out of there after an hour spent waiting there, on top of the 30 mins I waited to drive over and pickup. The staff is severely disorganized, and lack proper training. They desperately need management.. The food was below par, but it definitely wasn’t gonna taste good after that experience regardless. I truly hope they can get it together.

Called to order our food for the game guy answers phone with an attitude. Then asked to read back my order, and he keeps saying banana peppers. I say no I didn’t order that as I only eat pepperoni. He tries telling me I did and wants to argue with me about it. Dude you need to learn customer service. You just cost your store a nice order today and all my future business. So I ordered from pizza oven where they were very kind.Update. Emma called me to see what happened and apologized for the incident. She was very apologetic and we spoke for several minutes. Thanks for calling and speaking with me, and I will order again soon thanks to Emma!

I stopped by and ordered the meatball sub (8" size). I appreciated that the bun was not thick; I don't need all that starch. However , the meatballs were pretty good size and it satisfied my hunger. The taste was pretty decent as well.

Italian restaurant
Molinaro's Ristorante is a cozy Italian eatery that offers classic dishes and their signature stuffed peppers in a family-friendly atmosphere. They also have a bakery and take-out counter for convenience. Customers have praised their delicious pizza slices, especially when they're freshly made. However, some diners were disappointed with the baked rigatoni as it lacked the promised flavor of two types of cheese and was not seasoned well.
I got some fantastic Arancini, fried just right and the cheese was doing it's string pull thing. The Lobster Ravioli was indeed massive, and there were even a couple of succulent pieces of Lobster in the middle of the dish outside the ravioli. Great food. Too bad I got too full for desert. 😆

My wife and I took our toddler grandson here for dinner. They saw we had a little one and cleared a table for us quickly. My wife had the Rigatoni with Broccoli with Clam Chowder as the side. The Rigatoni was good but not great, the soup was pretty good. I had the Chicken Taco Salad which was very good with a nice crispy shell. I didn't like the spicy dressing it came with. I would much prefer traditional salsa and sour cream. Our grandson had chicken tenders with fries. He loved it and we tried some and both were very good. The chicken pieces were more like large tenders and not fingers so it was a lot. Service was fast, pleasant, and efficient.

We were passing through on our family vacation from Niagara Falls to New York City. We have 7 kids ages 6-17. We were so impressed with everything about this place! The kids shared the large portions of spaghetti and Alfredo and were so happy. The pizza was huge and delicious. The salad I got had tons of chicken on it and everything was very fresh. The hot pepper egg rolls were as good as they said they would be. Free fresh garlic bread before our meal just topped it off. Our waitress was super friendly and kind even with our hungry kids as we had been at Niagara all day. Highly recommend! I think we got lucky as a local told us about this place as we were passing by. The only downside is that it is kind of pricey. All of the dishes are $15-25 each but I think most can be shared so it is actually a pretty great value overall. Happy kids and happy tummies. Thanks a lot!

Been coming here for over a decade. Never a bad experience. Both desserts & meals are always amazing. Cannolis & carrot cake compare to none. Best in town.

I recently ordered 30 wings which were to be split half medium, half hot. When I received my order you could not tell which was which because there was no labeling on either container. The containers also leaked throughout the carryout bag. To top it off, the wings were soggy, and not even char-grilled in which I paid extra for. Sadly disappointed, and a serious waste of $50.

I have been here before and the pizza slices are good... (better when they first make them). Tonight I wanted to try some pasta.. my daughter and I ordered the baked rigatoni with the house salad. It was listed with two types of cheese on the menu. I didn’t not taste that however... also the pasta wasn’t as seasoned well. I honestly was hoping for a more authentic tasting pasta.. the staff is very pleasant and always friendly.
Heather G — Google review
Anyone rating this above 2 stars has extremely low standards. First off this place needs a good scrubbing. The menus, the tables, the trim around the windows - all gummy with sticky nastiness. Flies swarming around as you try to eat. I inquired about their meatballs - Do they make them themselves? Oh you do? Great! Do you make them each day? No - they make a ton in advance and freeze them. Making meatballs is about the easiest and quickest thing a true Italian restaurant can do. You mix usually 2-3 types of ground meat, about 6 different seasonings, some bread crumbs, some milk or buttermilk, salt, pepper, parsley. You toss it into a big mixer stand and combine it. Roll into balls. There's ZERO reason to make these in advance. Just pure laziness. But you know why they do? Because their menu is too damn large. When you have that many items on the menu there's no practical way you can actually make from scratch quality meals. There are too many items to do that with. I got the Bolognese pasta - the meat was mealy (clearly made in advance as well) and the sauce was just not fresh tasting. I don't expect them to make their own pasta from dough (though that would be unique and fantastic!). But this place, like many other establishments, pre-boils noodles earlier in the day and just has them sitting around where they slop them on your plate just after you order. It takes 8-12 minutes to get most pasta from hard to perfect al dente. The ravioli is likely bought frozen and just quickly heated for you or they make in advance and freeze it themselves. This food is really not good and there's no way I'll return. You couldn't pay me to come in and have another meal here. Start with 3 things: 1. Clean EVERYTHING - no, actually CLEAN, scrub. It's gross 2. Get rid of everything on your menu and start over with just 4-6 simple things that you can make from scratch every single day. Rotate 2 of them every 2 weeks to something new. Then you can buy the correct amount of food without waste (which is why you premake meatballs and freeze them, you're trying to not waste, but the flavor is garbage when you do this. So stop making things and freezing them for use later. This isn't a home kitchen in the depression era. 3. Fresh ingredients and meals only. Stop pre-boiling noodles. Stop serving crap from a bag that's frozen. If I wanted that I'd stay home - I can buy frozen food from the grocery store too. I seriously doubt whoever owns this place is going to take any suggestions I've made under consideration. Likely they think they're doing everything right. I'd love to see their balance book. They've got to be losing money between operating costs, food costs, and what little they do bring in. They're riding the coattails of whoever opened this place long long ago. Likely will close within the next 2-3 years.
Rick T — Google review
I have eaten here about five times since moving to lockport, and each time something is not right, or the food does not taste like it really should. 2 months ago I ordered bruschetta, that was almost all onion and garlic, you could barely see the tomatoes. It was gross. I was craving onions on a Pizza. I ordered half onion on a pizza and they put sauteed onions on top and they were mushy and gross, I have never had onions, be sauteed and then thrown on top of pizza, it kind of just looks like they forgot the onion and threw them on as a fix. Also the Pizza was supposed to be a Sicilian Pizza. The bottom was hard as a rock like cardboard, it was not fluffy and tastes like canned sauce. My daughter is sicilian, and we've had lots of sicilian food, this was not sicilian pizza. Just seems to be a very fancy expensive Italian restaurant with cheap, non authentic food. Like who does arincini balls with no meat or vegetables inside.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Mason's Mission at Pendleton Park Playground. Not quite as popular as Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Really liked this park! Had quite the mix of things for kids to do along with dual zip line structures and some rotating structures that you usually don't see at parks. Kids had a blast. They also have an older swing set with larger swings than usually get built these days. Definitely a good place to spend some time, with enough shade cover and covered areas for picnics or small events. Would recommend to parents!

Absolutely love this park! It’s clean, safe, and perfect for kids of all ages. The play structures are well-maintained, there’s plenty of space to run around, and the shaded areas are great for parents to relax. My kids never want to leave! A fantastic spot for family fun

Wonderful park with playground equipment for children of different ages and abilities. This is an inclusive playground that has specially designed equipment for children with special needs. It has covered/shaded areas to get out of the sun. Restrooms are available on site as well. Great place to spend the afternoon or a nice place to visit when you want to get out of the house. Update: restroom area is closed and under construction. 🚧

We were here for the first time after seeing a sign for Pendleton Farm and home days. Loved the festival. And through this, we discovered the really awesome playground here! Many unique playground items I have not seen before. The playground is large and thoughtful. There are umbrellas for shade, a lot of it is handicapped friendly, there are swings for an adult and child to share, a family sized teeter totter, and so much more. It is a really cool playground.
Jewel S — Google review
A wonderful park with many fun activities for kids. The music section was my personal favorite. I was a bit sad to see one of the drums broken and taped off but the rest seemed to be in good working order and my kids made quick use of it all. 😁 I was amazed at how much was set up for handicapped children and found it very impressive. I had thought about it several times since I was younger. I remember seeing a few people having trouble with playground equipment. The kids always seemed to have fun but the parents always had a rough time trying to use anything. This was a dream made real for so many people and I think it's incredible.
Omega M — Google review
The whole area is absolutely beautiful. The playgrounds were fun for all the kids from age 7-15 and up. Even as adults we had fun! We can't wait to go back! It's cleaner than other places we've been, and busy but not crowded.
Britni M — Google review
Great set up. Some wood chips so gotta remind the kids to keep them on the ground. Some parents weren't even watching their kids and they weren't being nice to the littler kids. Splash pad was turned off by 6, which was disappointing and when everyone ended up on the playground.

Arrowhead Spring Vineyards is a cherished winery in Upstate NY, providing the perfect setting for small groups to relax after a long day of work. The atmosphere is ideal, highlighted by the lively and sizable border collies. This winery stands out with its distinct and sophisticated wine selection, setting it apart from others in the region. The staff members are exceptionally friendly, ensuring a warm welcome for all visitors. Their well-crafted menu perfectly complements the delicious food made on site.
I am so thankful that I found this gem of a vineyard. I was looking for a quality wine and vineyard with a nice lunch for my family. Everything was so wonderful. We are so impressed by the Cabernet Franc from New York. Absolutely outstanding. Their food was outstanding, friendly staff, beautiful vineyard with relaxing calm , beautiful environment. They have a dog named Ian who resides at the vineyard. He is such a gentleman and we had to come back for a second time because our young son was missing him. We are from out of state and live in Las Vegas. When visiting upstate New York or if you want wine shipped. I highly recommend this place. Family Friendly !!!

Great place for tasting or having a glass of wine inside the large timber frame winery or on the patio. Antique tables and church pews make this a unique and comfortable place. Owner is very hands on, welcoming and knowledgeable. She has lots of great stories if you’re interested. No buses allowed so the experience is relaxed and enjoyable. Try the Chardonnay reserve.

Recently we came for my sisters Hen party, just a small group of us. The food is EXCELLENT, the wine is delicious and the staff is so friendly - INCLUDING, Ian the most handsome of border collies! I came back a week later to show my husband the gorgeous beams - the structure of this place is gorgeous. I’d you’re local or a snow bird, the wine club is pretty snazzy too! Check it out y’all. It’s worth it in pup and beauty alone 😍

I had a very enjoyable visit to Arrowhead Spring Vineyards! Upscale atmosphere, with many different options of seating available. Their wine flight, along with their warm pretzels, were a wonderful pairing. The additional food options are not included with the flight and must be purchased separately. My husband and I have visited hundreds of wineries and vineyards in multiple states and countries. This is the first one we have enjoyed so much that we have gone to multiple events. Freedom Run Winery is one of my favorite stops on the Niagara Wine Trail! This winery is very well organized and beautifully decorated. The wine tasting did not require an appointment. Out of all the wineries visited on my tour, Freedom Run gave the most detailed explanation of the wine flight presented. It was brought out to us along with a mini cracker and cheese pack we purchased additionally. Picturesque views from their backyard with ample seating available. We had a wonderful time enjoying both the wine and the atmosphere!

I recently visited with 3 friends because we had won a free tasting for a group of 4 people. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The decor was so cute inside and out. It was a rainy day so we stayed inside, but the outside area looked cute and cozy. I wasn't a fan of some of the wines, but I think I was trying to branch outside of what I normally choose at a tasting. I would definitely recommend checking out Freedom Run Winery!

Very nice winery on the Niagara County Wine Trail. Nice selection of reds and whites. A couple fantastic Apple Bourbon desert wines, aged in name brand bourbon barrels. Very unique. Clean and always worthy of a stop. Highly recommend a tour if available (we took one). They do events like yoga, dinners etc. Great spot! UPDATE: We returned to Freedom Run with a group on a limo bus for a private tasting. They set up a great spot by the wine barrels with Edison lights etc. Kurt did a great job of reading the crowd, catering to the group and picking some great tasting options. This was one of our favorite stops! Their soon to be released dry rose bubbly will be amazing!

This was a really nice winery. To start, my visit is during COVID19 , so things are different. Tastings are served in plastic cups, as they have been at every winery I have gone to over the past few months. Wine was good. Ambiance was really nice! Server was nice, too! They offered more than the usual chips for the usual must purchase food with tastings. I purchased a cupcake, which was delicious. It was spacious inside with lots of room for seating.

I love this place. Have been ordering cases at a time for mail delivery from here for many, many years. When I take these wines to social gatherings, its always the first bottles to disappear. Great selection of mostly sweeter wines. I have visited wineries all over this great country, and this is hands-down my favorite.

So...we stopped here at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. The website said that the winery closed at 6 pm. I would think time enough for a tasting. Upon arrival, the servers all said that we could order a glass of wine, but not a tasting. There were four of us. We each ordered a glass of wine. We finished at about 5:50 pm. They said, if you want to purchase anything you need to do it now, we are shutting down our register. We did not purchase anything. The people working here were very rude. The wine was great, but I would not purchase because of the customer service.

Today (July 11) is my birthday and the server was incredibly rude. Not welcoming and just acted standoffish til a regular came in and treated us differently. This was my first winery since moving to NY, and also my birthday so I was annoyed at the service. Just be kind because you don't know what people are going through. Super good wine though.

Went to 5 different Wineries on Mother's Day. I had no clue what I wanted, because they had so much to pick from. The lovely lady that helped me was very knowledgeable & made the experience very enjoyable. And I could taste why they had so many award winning wines.

Good selection of wines & a friendly staff. I felt as if the staff that served uswasn't knowledgeable (may have been the children of the owners?). Regardless it is worth a visit.

Fun little winery with $5 6 wine tastings. Delicious. Try the hot pepper wine. But buy the pina colada and mango tango. Gorgeous bottles too.

Wineries & Vineyards
Long Cliff Vineyard & Winery, Inc., the smallest winery on the Niagara Wine trail, offers a pleasant and informative stop for wine enthusiasts. Despite being overshadowed by larger commercial ventures in the area, this hidden gem is worth visiting during your wine tour. The staff are friendly and provide detailed explanations about the farm and their wines. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it is necessary to call before entering as the tasting area is small.
Would highly recommend! A small winery but really good choices! Our favorite wine of the day was here. The staff was really friendly and helpful. An unassuming outside, but were really presently surprised with how great our experience was. Don't miss this spot on your Niagara Wine Trail visit.
Brenna T — Google review
Not your average winery. I have been to wineries all over the world from Bordeaux to southern Spain, Western Cape, South Africa and Australia. For a New World vineyard you are getting something special here. Kevin, the winemaker along with his daughter, verbose knowledge and passion persists in every bottle. The back story of this place is as interesting as the wines themselves. If you can try only one in the Niagara AVA I recommend Long Cliff. Blaufränkish and Sauvignon Blanc are definitely worth trying!

Went for the cupcake/wine tasting event, and who knew cupcakes and wine could go so well together! Tasted three different wines, and liked all three. Danielle took care of us, and she did an excellent job. She is knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this small, family owned winery. It was a great afternoon!
Jackie S — Google review
The smallest winery on the Niagara Wine trail, but still very nice to stop and sip at- the staff were friendly and explained a lot of details on the farm and wine to us. It is easy to overlook compared to the large commercial ventures in the area, but this is worthy of a stop as you go along your wine tour.

My husband and I stopped here after another winery. Due to COVID19 we had to call before entering, as it is a very small tasting area. We went in within 5 minutes of calling. Of course, it was necessary (due to NYS laws at this time) to purchase a snack. They had a few things other than chips, which was nice. Wines were ok. Service was great.
Terrie — Google review
Fabulous small family winery. Must see and experience. We had the privilege to have Danielle provide a tasting. She came straight out of the field from harvesting to meet with us. She was so gracious and professional. Learn so much from her. Their wines are excellent and certainly worth a visit.

We have traveled to many different wineries in the Midwest. This is our first time in New York and this was our favorite by far. The owner was more than gracious. We could have spent the entire day with Donald (the owner) talking about his farm, grapes and wine making. It was absolutely a wonderful time. Can't thank them enough for the personal tour and hospitality. If we ever are in the area again we will definitely stop back.
Paul P — Google review
I did my first winery tour here. I purchased it on the Groupon app. The tour was amazing and really made me think about what pairs well with each wine. During each wine sample the tour guide gave us ideas of what would taste good with each wine. It was amazing. This is definitely one of my favorites!

We stopped here on a wine tour for a 40th birthday. Honeymoon Trail Winery was very hospitable to our group and took good care of us. This place was cozy and offered tastings along with some cheese dip samples. They had a ton of beautiful baskets made that you could buy for holiday gifts. They were doing a raffle as well that you could enter if you purchased a basket. The year also has some delicious smelling corn chowder for sale in the other room. The wines I tasted were not bad. A lot of their offering were more sweet. I did enjoy trying the drier ones because that is my preference. I enjoyed trying a new winery.

If you are looking for sweet wine options, you must visit Honeymoon Trail Winery! They offer a multitude of options, many of which are award winning. This Niagara Wine Trail stop is quaint and cozy. It could benefit from a little refreshing and updating. They have a cute retail store with gift options located upfront along with a tasting room in the back. They offer a pretzel and cheese spread tasting. This was a bit disappointing. The cheese spreads are really tasty, but the delivery is very awkward. Someone comes by and brings you individual tiny stale pretzel sticks dipped in a little cheese spread. They are brought out one by one, wearing big rubber gloves. The gloves are appreciated for sanitation, but their presentation in this way really cheapened the experience. It would be much nicer to have a tiny bowl of pretzels along with the spread at the table, allowing us to handle them ourselves. It would no doubt increase their cheese spread sales! They also offer wine slushies, which were very enjoyable. A few improvements could really transform the experience.

We have been to Honeymoon Trail a few times, but it had been a while. The family has a smallish but nice patio out front, a tasting room, small shop etc. They have a nice selection of wines to choose from. They do have a handful of local liquor tastings (for an added fee). The bourbon cream was tasty and we purchased a bottle. They also had a cheese tastings when we were there. Stop in and say hi to the owner who is almost always there and provides tastings too.
M. K — Google review
I was very impressed with the setup of this winery. You pay for everything at one part of the store and so the servers are only taking care of the wine tastings. There is a large variety of wine and it was difficult to choose because they have to many award winners. The chocolate covered cherry red wine was one of the most unique wines I've ever tasted. We ended up buying a bottle to take home. The wine tasting also includes cheese spread samples as well, which can be purchased. We happened to be there during a small craft show was happening which was really cool. There is also a small store attached to the winery with cute knick knacks. I would recommend visiting this unique winery!

Abysmal. This place hasn’t updated their space in 20+ years and it is obvious. Any beer you get is $9 minimum. The back room is cold and unwelcome. You are better off going to any other winery in Niagara County than this one. 2 stars because they have passable slushes (they did not have them when I went)

Fred's Pendleton Pizza Inc is a nice, uncomplicated establishment that offers delicious food and excellent service. The prices are reasonable considering all factors. Their pizza falls somewhere between the authentic Buffalo/WNY style and the New York City style, leaning slightly towards NYC, which is actually quite favorable. They use a generous amount of cheese, a feature that many customers appreciate. Although I didn't try their sweet sauce, the regular sauce was tasty.
The pizza was excellent! Thin crust cooked perfectly, sweet sauce was amazing. The wings were also perfectly crispy and sauced! Fast and friendly service. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Great food. Some of the best subs you'll find in western new york. I love their chicken finger. My wife loves the steak hoagie. Pizza and wings are great there too. Have been ordering from Freds almost 40 years.
Todd G — Google review
Stopped by with the family and had an absolutely phenomenal experience. The slice of pizza I ordered was pure perfection—golden, crispy undercarriage that held up beautifully with just the right amount of chew. The sauce was bursting with fresh tomato flavor, and the cheese was perfectly melted, creating that ideal stretchy pull. I also tried their Fred special sub, and it was a game-changer—packed with fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and served on a toasted roll that was both soft and crusty. The staff were super friendly, and the vibe was cozy and welcoming. If you’re craving top-notch pizza and a killer sub, this is the spot! Can’t wait to come back for more!

Ordered delivery. No problems there, but the pizza is surprisingly bad. Not sure I understand the positive ratings. There is much better pizza nearby in Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

Danny Sheehan's Steak House is a beloved dining destination that has stood the test of time, offering an enticing menu featuring prime rib, seafood, and delightful cocktails in a charming old-school tavern setting. The atmosphere is cozy yet slightly cramped, with a bar area up front and additional dining rooms at the back. It's advisable to make reservations well in advance due to its popularity. The food here consistently impresses with its freshness and perfect cooking.
Warm cozy, classic atmosphere. The steak and potatoes au gratin were fantastic! Wife had the grouper, only $20. Can't beat that. Our server was great. We stopped in on a Friday for dinner and pretty much had the place to ourselves. I would highly recommend this place. The menu is a little pricey but it's not a bad way to spend a little more for a nicer, better place and experience for a special occasion.

I am adding my recent experience. I went to this establishment 7 years ago and was able to revisit. I ordered a Filet Mignon with Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Bread. The Filet was ordered Medium Rare, but came in at a Medium to almost Well Done temperature. The waitress replaced that Steak with a Medium Temperature Steak. I just cut the well cooked part from the Center and ate the Center part. I ordered the French Onion Soup as an App/Starter. Excellent, order it. The Mashed Potatoes were very good, and the Garlic Bread was great. Even the Salad was good. The Prime Rib was cooked on point. Word of advice, if you don't have a reservation make one, or they will pit you in the semi outside Dinning Area.

We were celebrating a milestone and had a craving for lobster. We decided to get take out and decided to try The broiled Fisherman’s platter. It didn’t disappoint! Service was excellent. Food was the best I've had in a long time. I had the chicken marsala in wine sauce with mushrooms, potato, and large garlic bread. Had to bring rest home, large portion. A surprise birthday cake from restaurant and they sang to my girlfriend Gail.

The food is fresh and always cooked perfectly. We always reserve a table a day in advance because they get busy pretty. They have a bar in the front with some tables and then they have a couple of rooms in the back for dining. It’s a nice place, just a little cramped. There’s just enough room for the waiter/waitresses to get through. But that’s honestly the only complaint I have about the place. It is a bit pricey, so we only go here every now and then. Definitely worth the price though.
Ashley E — Google review
I can only say that fare here is beyond excellent. The service is top notch, the food is superb. I had a little difficulty making and confirming my reservation. No one answered the phone, I left two messages, no one called me back. I showed up with my family and they did have my reservation, but that was the only nebulous predicament we had. Aside from worrying they may not have my reservation...overall, this is a fantastic culinary experience. Five persons with top menu choices and wine,, the total with tip came to $240.00.

Very nice walking trails. I recommend going on at the fishing entrance and walking along the creek to the bridge. A little muddy, a bit buggy but very peaceful and quiet.
Colleen N — Google review
Gorgeous park, but the trails flood very easily. Wear boots. It's very heavily fished, so good luck catching anything. The trout in there are smart and rare. That being said, I still go to wet wade about once a month. Even without catching anything, the vibes are worth it.
Andras B — Google review
A very nice park to go hiking in. You can see the impact of the gypsum mine at the north area along the creek. The long furrows are tunnels that caved in. Some were only 15 below the surface. Following the flat grade as it curves into the hillside leads you to what used to be the mine entrance, sealed ages ago.
Ed E — Google review
Absolutely loved the trails today. I had been here many years ago but was eager to refresh my memory. I took the Green Trail out (.90 miles) and returned on the Black Trail (.93 miles). The paths are well groomed, easy to maneuver, and dog & family friendly. I look forward to exploring the other paths on future trips.
Kelly K — Google review
Absolutely beautiful. The only complaint is that it is not well kept up. Some of the paths had so much overgrowth that it was hard to walk the path. The path on the opposite side of the bridge was completely grown over and we were not able to walk that path. Don't forget your bug spray! And do not forage or eat any of the plants unless you are am experienced forager because there are some poisonous plants that look edible.

Museum
The Historic Erie Canal "Flight of Five" Combined Locks in Lockport is a remarkable engineering marvel from the 19th century that played a crucial role in connecting the western and eastern parts of the Erie Canal. This site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, offering visitors an opportunity to delve into its rich history. Many tourists find it fascinating to witness these functioning locks in action, gaining a deeper appreciation for the incredible effort put forth by workers during that era.
I thoroughly enjoyed this town. Go to the visitor center, they have a nice souvenir shop and the friendly staff will guide you on what to see. The locks, lock tender monument, museum, and Lutheran Church are a must see, the windows on the church are Tiffany stained glass, absolutely beautiful.

Doesn't pay the artists when they sell a piece. The owner/manager does not respond to emails or voicemail. We were advised in July that a friend had purchased one of my husbands B&W photograhs in the spring. We had not been advised, or paid by the gallery, advising us they had sold a piece. My husband spoke with Heather on July 22, she knew it had been sold, she said she could not pay him that night, but would have the bank write him a check, and he would have it within 2 weeks. We have called her phone and left voicemail messages asking her to return our call so that we could resolve this, and leaving our phone number so that she could not say she did not have it. Also sent her emails, again including our contact information. To date, no check or payment of any kind, no contact from her. From Spring to October, I am very sure that the ART247 account is balanced monthly, and that she is very much aware she has not paid this Artist. How can buyers be sure Artists are given their share of the money they have paid for their artwork? I guess they can't. Maybe this should be a warning that the buyers should deal with the artist directly when they like their work and eliminate this gallery as the middle man.
Mary S — Google review
What a dump this place has become over the years. Heather's classes are overpriced and if you're anything like me, they will leave you feeling unfulfilled and ripped off. Save your money and spend it on real classes elsewhere.
Beatrice W — Google review

ART 247 is incredible! The building is an old historic industrial building, with some of the industry remnants still intact, and the individual artists are very friendly. I did not take any pictures there, respecting that it's their artwork. It's worth seeing for yourself.
Chris G — Google review
It's such a shame that this place turned into such a dump. Edit, in reply to Owner: Nice deflection but if you're the same lady I spoke with in person, you know very well I was just recently there. The right thing to do is to put some money back into that place so artists can thrive but nothing has been done since new ownership. I repeat, it's a shame.

Spring Lake Winery was such an AMAZING experience!! I planned our wedding from Michigan and they were with me every step of the way. I cannot express how positive my experience was and how amazingly helpful the staff has been the entire time! They are literally the most responsive business I have ever worked with -- from emails to phone calls to answering every little tiny question I had, they were always so willing to help and offer input and make our wedding absolutely perfect. On our wedding day we had the NICEST catering staff and literally the most amazing bartenders. My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with our experience, and even though I'm all the way in Michigan, I have recommended them nonstop and had so many good things to say! I appreciate Spring Lake SO much for helping to make our day perfect!

This is a beautiful, gorgeous vineyard. The deck overlooking the lake is a cool way to spend the day. This is a hidden vineyard. The staff, especially Kati, are amazing. You are greeted with a nice smile. On the deck you are serenaded by singing birds, full sized trees grow through the deck that has plenty of seating. The Cabernet Sauvignon is full bodied dry, it is one of the best I had in upstate NY.

This place deserves all the hype. I have always wanted to a vineyard tour but I am not comfortable in large groups. I took a chance and visited with my mom today. I lucked out and it was very quiet! The charcuterie board and the wine tasting was fantastic (and affordable) and the server Lacey was so nice! The owner also took us on a tour of the grounds.

A very picturesque location, and nice window garden to relax and enjoy the day with friends. There was a wedding in the main area which was a place I was hoping we could check out, but the wine garden area was still a nice place to spend time. We did not have any food, but the wines we tried were tasty, and we would come back to try more and eat next time. The recently paced driveway was also a huge plus as the last time we brought our cars here it was a little treacherous to get down to the winery.

Spring Lake Winery continues to upgrade their facilities catering to those there for tastings, while also providing a great location for weddings and other special events. Their wines are some of the best on the wine trail. Their sprawling property boasts a small lake, vineyard, patio, fire pit and lots of scattered seating waterside. On our most recent visit, the main tasting room / patio was closed, so we went to the auxiliary out building. It's a converter cargo container (for staff doing the tastings), with an adjacent space with plenty of covered tables, giant Jenga, corn hole etc. We needed to purchase tokens for wine tasting (small building nearby). They also offered a selection of cigars too. We have been there when the main building is open and they have had live music and other events. An older gentleman let us take a sneak peak inside as we were there with some folks who have never been there before. Charming guy (and his wife too). Spring Lake doesn't disappoint!

Restaurant
Nestled in a charming brick and ivy-clad building with roots dating back to the 19th century, Shamus Restaurant stands out as an upscale American dining destination in Niagara County. This lively gastro-pub features a delightful patio where guests can enjoy contemporary house specials like blackened sea scallops and buttermilk fried chicken. Vegetarians and vegans are also well-catered for, with options such as fresh vegetable pastas and a hearty vegetable shepherd's pie.
5 Stars - A Lockport Gem! Had an incredible lunch at Shamus Restaurant today—absolutely five stars across the board. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a casual business lunch or a relaxed afternoon with friends. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the food? Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every detail—from the presentation to the quality of ingredients—showed care and consistency. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Lockport. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Shamus! The drinks were a standout — the mojito was perfectly balanced and refreshing, and the elderflower rose spritzer was light, floral, and absolutely delightful. For food, we enjoyed a juicy, flavorful burger and a garden salad topped with steak that was cooked just right. Every bite was delicious, and the presentation matched the quality. The atmosphere was cozy yet refined, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend Shamus for a night out with great cocktails and consistently excellent food. We’ll definitely be back!

Very welcoming and friendly. Our server was very sweet, informative, and helpful. Their French Onion Soup is amazing! Ordered one of their specials - a Turkey Cranberry....sooo good. And there's always room for a "little piece" of cake 😉! Will definitely be back!

Delicious! The French Onion Soup, Fish-n-Chips, and Beef on Weck are all definitely worth ordering. All so good! The service was friendly and excellent. The only letdown was the French Fries; they were cooked with too much oil and soggy and brown.

came in yesterday for a wedding rehearsal dinner. food was immaculate! drinks were great as well the only downside was the delay with my table ordering first but ending up being the very last to get our drinks. our waitress/waiters were great and the kitchen was able to accommodate to my needs. i highly recommend stopping by if you’ve had it on your radar !

Bar
Nestled in the heart of Lockport, NY, the Niagara Hotel is a charming bar that has undergone a remarkable transformation under the stewardship of Mandy. Known for her exceptional mixology skills and warm hospitality, she has created an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a long day. The bar boasts historical charm with its exposed stone walls and wide wooden floors, making it an ideal spot to enjoy live music or engage in friendly games of darts.
I love buildings that are historical. This place is so cool with the old stone walls exposed and the wide wood plank floors. The old radiators were left in. It just has so much history. We just stopped in for a couple of drinks but it was nice.

Best Drinks in Lockport If you’re in Lockport, NY, you have to stop by this incredible little bar run by Mandy. She is not just the owner, but she is a creative mixologist, the heart and soul of the Niagara and hands down the best bartender around. Her house made simple syrups add a fresh, unique twist you won’t find anywhere else. Mandy’s craft cocktails are amazing, and her deluxe bloody Mary’s have become a full blown Father’s Day tradition for us (we’re talking skewers stacked with everything from shrimp to mini grilled cheeses!)

This a cool place to hang out and play a game of darts or 2 and listen to your favorite music. I haven't had the food here yet. But when I do, I'll update this. I had a great time and everyone was friendly and the staff were very attentive!

They had a "Sam Jam" with local musicians in an open mic situation. It was in honor of Sam Bell. There was a basket party and 50/50 raffle, the profits going to the local schools music program. Great people and a wonderful time!

This right here, is exactly why we can't have nice things. *edit to show current times* It is now 2022 and this bar has changed so much, for the better. Mandy is an amazing person. She has totally turned this bar around and it is a place I really enjoy going in the evenings for the atmosphere and bands. I highly recommend stopping in for a Manhattan, Martini, Beer or mixed beverage. Don't drink and want to enjoy the bands? Come grab a soda, water, or a virgin beverage. No judgment. Just enjoy yourself.

Great local bar. Bartender said it opened in 1824! Always an amazing cast of characters there. Be sure to ask about the shot roulette wheel.

I've gone here with a friend of mine for a few years once or twice a year. It's a hole in the wall that he loves. I'd never come here alone but I dont have a bad time with my friend when we visit. I swore I saw a real life pirate enjoying a drink the first time I came there 🤣

The Niagara is a bar I've frequented for years a They're on top of getting drink orders and getting them out to the customer quite well. For entertainment They have live music often on the weekends. There is seating, dart boards, and two pool tables. I've always had A good time at the Niagara. 👍

Bar & grill
Nestled in the heart of a friendly small town, Pot-O-Gold Bar & Restaurant is the quintessential local hangout where everyone feels like family. This cozy spot is perfect for those looking to unwind with a drink or savor some delicious food. Although I don't drink, I was drawn here by their famed wings, and let me tell you—they did not disappoint! Crispy and generously sauced, they were simply divine on both visits.
Best hot wings in Lockport! I mean everything is great here, Judy does a really great job with her menu.

Found this spot after a quick google search and I'm glad I did. Super friendly staff , forgot the bartender's name but she loved great music so it was nice to chat with her! The wings were perfectly crispy with their signature sauce 🤌🏼💋 will be back again
Nayko L — Google review
Definitely was surprised with interior, was expecting a hole in the wall and it was actually pretty nice for a "pub." Went for the wings with JJ sauce on a recommendation and they were DELICIOUS. Would go again for these.

I went for the fish fry because somebody wrote a review about having great fish fry. Fish fry was not great, and I was charged $28 for 2 beers and a fish fry. I would not recommend this place.
Pete M — Google review
If you like a quiet, local place with great food then the Pot-O-Gold is the best around.
Debbie S — Google review
The best way to describe this bar is that it is one of those small town bars where everyone knows each other. Full of regulars grabbing drinks or a bite. As a bar it is what you'd hope for. As someone who doesn't drink my goal was to get wings. I have only been there twice and both times the wings were delicious! They were crispy and had plenty of sauce. The bartender was great and we had her both times we were there. The only major issue I've had with this place is that once I went for lunch and it appeared only one person was working and they were in the kitchen making food for a couple at the bar. We waited for about ten mins and they never left the kitchen so we just left, it was pretty disappointing. Even with that said the deliciousness of the wings got me to come back.

Pizza restaurant
Pizza Oven is a long-standing, family-owned pizzeria that has been serving up delicious thin-crust pizza, wings, chicken, and calzones. The pizzeria is known for its sweet sauce and perfectly cooked pizzas with charred edges. Customers rave about the mouthwatering taste of the pizza and appreciate the friendly staff. Some even travel from afar just to indulge in their delectable offerings.
This is the best Pizza in the US. I was born and raised in Buffalo NY area. It's a sweet sauce but you won't be disappointed. I've had the so called best Pizza in NYNY, Chicago, LA, and Phoenix. Pizza Oven pizza hands down is the best. It's worth a trip if you're visiting Western New York. Leave me a comment on what you think! This is a pizza shop not a place to eat at grab and go.

Haven't ate here in a while thought I'd try it. Big mistake. Wings were so dry. Ordered medium but there was barely any sauce.
Doreen — Google review
We placed an order 1/20 for $160ish worth of food for a birthday party. Once we got home we saw the cardboard containers that the wings were in were leaking everywhere (no big deal) but as we were removing the wings from the container we noticed they looked rubbery, not fully cooked and just gross. We had guests over at this point so just decided to try to air fry them to crisp them up, making a mental note to reach out to the pizza place later in the evening. There was no saving these wings as we bit into them they were pink on the inside. We ended up tossing all 75 wings and we’re only able to eat the pizza (which was great!) I reached out to Pizza Oven via fb after the party to let them know and sent along pics of the wings. The manager agreed the wings looked not crispy in any way and rubbery and that the pink is just a blood vessel not harmful. When asked what we could do to make it right I was informed of their company policy that the customer needs to reach out right away to let them know of the problem as too many people are trying to get free food. Making sure my guests were being fed was my priority and not calling the pizza place. I did not want free food as I had stated, I simply wanted to have been able to eat the food I paid for. Pizza oven isn’t close to my house, we drove specifically there (passing other pizza places on the way) but we won’t be doing that again.

Was our go to Pizzeria, ordered weekly from this place and the food was always awesome. Our past three orders over the last 3 to 4 weeks were wrong not ready for pick up as we ordered them. Missing toppings on pizza missing items on an order now 3 times. And the overall quality of the pizza is half of what it used to be this place used to be amazing. I don’t know what happened, but don’t waste your time.
Tyler D — Google review
Ordered a special 20 wings, and large pizza. 51.00 give or take. Our wings were crispy, not very saucy. Still good. Pizza delicious, as expected. My gf from Rochester, has never had any thing other dog poopy for pizza. Its Rochester 🤷‍♀️. Very happy with our dinner tonight.
Jess B — Google review
If you like wings made normal and pizza this place is great. But for some unknown reason they just refuse to make extra crispy wings. They have literally given my wife and I attitude over it. I don’t get it. I’ve asked why and they lie telling me that they sit and get “sweaty” but they won’t have been done until I get there and we live 1-2 minutes away. It just doesn’t add up. I’d just stay away if you want extra crispy wings. We do really like their pizza though and their sauces.
William E — Google review
Pizza oven is a hole in the wall pizza place. The pizza is excellent, cut funny, but I think it makes it better. The cheese they use is absolutely delicious. Their orders are on time, ready when they say they will be. You don't eat in, so it's not much to look at, but if you go in with kids they have some games and machines to occupy your little ones while you wait for your order. I love this place. It's my favorite place to get a pie in Lockport.
Geoffrey C — Google review
I had their pizza and wings for the first time today Thursday May 1st 2025. I must say I was quite impressed with their cheese and pepperoni sweet sauce. Usually I can only eat like two slices of pizza at the most before I like feel sick but this pizza didn't make me feel that way at all and I only ate two slices. Wings are wings but I appreciate not seeing broken wings so for all it's worth I give pizza oven and Lockport New York five stars all day!!!😎 😋
