Didn’t know the Pen allowed non-service dogs to walk freely now, I’m sure if I brought one though security would be on me in minutes….typical double standards

I went to the one at pen centre, amazing dessert and great customer service. The wait wasn’t long at all, I took the lotus cookie butter and wow it didn’t disappoint at all!. The desert was delicious and made with love.

Great place to enjoy with family. And have a nice food court with different options.

When we went to fairview today my friend got in trouble because it was his birthday and he asked for one individual french fry,Security came talked with him etc boom finito.When we go to the pen center my friend always wears jordans and 2 times now I've had to almost fight children because they think they are gang members and say what size shoes are those and etc or we want the bag gang 2 times this has happened and security just watches i think there should be a no ski mask rule cause they are always causing trouble at the pen center.my solution security should be around the mall not just jewel stores either hire more security or disperse them more strategically before i have to kill some kid because they wanna play gangsters and mall goer

Overall very fun mall with lots of activities, just avoid the dollarama near the entrance. The employees act like they're defending Fort Knox and clearly hate their job. For their sake don't go there.

Mid mall with limited stores. Central in st Catharine’s and accessible by transit. No more Hudsons’s Bay, they should replace it with a UNIQLO.

Went here for our first River Lions game. It was awesome. Staff were really friendly and polite and made the experience great. We can’t wait to come back for a game.

Small and cute place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was full as it is too small and we had to go to pay parking and even those were busy. Found one not far and likely we could pay $5 instead of $20 as we were already late and it was past 5pm therefore we were late to the show. Plan ahead and come early otherwise just go to pay parking.

Great size for concerts. Sum41 tickets were $75 each and were in the center stage. Distance from stage had to be the best i have ever been to for the price. Definitely will visit again!

This was my First time to the Meridian Centre. I went with friends to watch wrestle mania. The venue was nice and easy to navigate with clean bathrooms. Parking was a bit difficult we ended up in a parking garage a few blocks away.

Nice arena with a simple / easy to navigate layout. Only downside is be prepared to find parking elsewhere. Went for a Cirque show for which they did send us an email in advance explaining the parking situation and gave us two nearby options.

Came here for a River Lions game. Would like to see more representation when they’re choosing fans. They only chose white kids.

It's a great park .but if there's going to be hosting events ( winery's), they must put out ashtrays the cigarettes butts all over the ground was disgusting. There are so many other options. We asked the gentleman at the gate , and his response was we don't encourage smoking ... just littering . Give a hoot don't pollute.

Had the most amazing time at the Grape and wine festival, The music was awesome, the choice of vendors was great, had so much fun.

Another park adventure! Nice soft play mat. Lots of benches for families to sit near the park itself. It was surrounded by lots of shade. Park is great for all ages. Children must be accompanied. Chonky squirrels. Beautiful rose garden. It seemed clean for most of the part. Would have given a 4 star, but there were 6 homeless persons passed out in the gazebo, a few sleeping on the benches throughout the park. Or some leaving their belongings on the bench so no one would sit on it.

Amazing night at Born and Raised!! Watched Metric & City in Colour. Great views, fantastic music,friendly crowd. So well organized!

We went for the born&Raised festival. It was a great space for it. Lots of street parking around the neighborhood. A good amount of shady spots to cool off in the park. They had a bathroom building but it was closed for the festival and they used outhouse only.

The St Catharines Market is fantastic!! Great produce, bakery, so many vendors with everything from dog treats to roasted nuts, to crafts and lots of food vendors. If you haven't been in a while you are definitely missing out.

Went to this market for the first time last weekend. I typically stick to Welland cause it is closer, but my wife wanted to try the Korean street food trending on tiktok. Line up was 50 minutes but well well well worth it. Also bought a kohlrabi bigger than my head, some delicious lavender lemonade and some of the juiciest corn I've had in a long time. Well worth the trip. Live music was a nice touch too

Great variety of produce, fruit, eggs, meats, baked goods, beautiful floral bouquets very reasonably priced. Excellent coffee stands. Good live music. Get there ... it's fun!

It is an excellent venue for any kind of concert. Sound system is incredible, seats comfortable and well organized for best viewing pleasure. Large lobby with a beverage bar can accommodate large number of people.

Every seat in the house is good! Accostics are perfect, every show I have seen at the PAC has sounded fantastic! Another great show tonight with Paul Langlois!!

The acoustics are awesome in here. We came here a few times now, the entertainment never disappoints. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Two Thursdays in a row boy games were amazing 12-0 and 9-1 with my sisters

Modern performing arts facility in downtown St.Catharines, great acoustics, bar.and layout. Easily accessible to parking and restaurants. Lighting and seating were excellent. We came to watch Pink Floyd Niagara, it was a grand sophisticated performance, with a large, talented group and excellent back up singers. It's definitely worth watching.

Halls have very good natural light. Staff are very friendly and informative. Clean washrooms and facilities. Accessibility throughout the building is great. The temperature throughout the building is also good. There's always something happening here. Check out their website for free events. That's the best way to get a good look at the place.

This venue is so intimate there's not a bad seat in the theatre, the staff were super friendly. I forgot my phone in the bathroom, I really thought it was gone, but someone turned it in. Super nice.. The Beatles Tribute Band was amazing , overall a great venue.

What a beautiful and interesting place to learn about the history and how the Welland Canal works. It's also an excellent spot to discover and get familiar with one of Canada's national sports: lacrosse. The view of the canal from the observation deck is spectacular, and if you're lucky enough to see a ship in that water lock during your visit, the experience becomes even more impressive. The facility includes clean restrooms, large parking lot, gift shop, audio-visual room, rentable event spaces, picnic tables, an adjacent playground, and a beautiful memorial honoring the many workers who lost their lives over the canal's 200-year history.

The St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre is one of those local gems that beautifully blends history, engineering marvels, and quiet charm. I stopped by on a sunny afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see and learn—especially for a museum that often flies under the radar compared to other Niagara-area attractions. The museum itself is well-curated, offering a deep dive into the history of St. Catharines and the vital role the Welland Canal played (and still plays) in Canada’s transportation story. I especially enjoyed the exhibits on early shipping, local industry, and the stories of the people who built and lived around the canal. But the real magic is outside, on the viewing platform. Watching the massive cargo ships pass through Lock 3, right in front of you, is absolutely mesmerizing. You get a true sense of scale and the incredible engineering that goes into canal navigation. It’s great for kids and adults alike—you can spend a peaceful hour just ship-watching. Your kids can borrow a backpack of explorer. It is free and welcome for donation. The staff are friendly and informative, and the building is clean and accessible, with plenty of parking. Whether you’re a history buff, an engineering fan, or just curious, this museum is well worth the visit.

Visited St. Catherine’s Museum & Welland Local Canal with my family. The complex consist of three areas. The museum itself showcasing the brief history of St Catherine & how the region became an important hub for ship commercial passage from the man made welland series of lock canal. The other part is viewing platform where you can see big ships fit into the locks & follow the process of filling up the water into the lock. Lastly a souvenir shops and information centre at the main entrance of the museum. When we reached it started raining, so we were hardly outside at the viewing platform to see the ship’s height rises as the water fills in the locks. A good experience to witness how the ship travels through the locks starting from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. Overall we spend 3 hours in the Museum and covered all the sightseeing in the museum complex.

A fabulous museum of not only the Welland Canal (impressive in its own right) but also of the town of St. Catherine’s. It’s an absolute credit to the town and the museum founders/staff/managers to have the foresight and dedication to amass such a wealth of history and their culture from colonial times right up to modern history. Excellently preserved classic cars, lacrosse history, but the small stuff too e.g. a display in the towns Soap Box derby which ran I. The 60s & 70s. I could have stayed here for hours. Best to time your visit to coincide with some of the big ships passing through the canal (check the ship tracking apps/websites) and then check out the museum, all of which is free.

A great place to visit in St Catharines. Completely free though donations are accepted. A history of the Welland canal system and the Ontario Lacrosse museum. There is also a nice little park on site.

The museum was interesting and the staff very helpful. We watched a mid size shop go through the lock and another larger one go back through the lock. A great experience.

Awesome experience. Very cool to see the massive ship, the locks, and draw bridges. The museum itself is packed with cool historical items and it's free to visit. For anyone driving to or from Niagara this spot is a must visit. Little kids will be amazed at the sights.

Had an amazing dining experience at Twenty. Hands down, the best gnocchi I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The service was fantastic from start to finish. I ordered a whisky sour, and the server made sure to confirm I was okay with the egg white foam on top—great attention to detail and care. For dessert, the mini egg crème brûlée was absolutely incredible. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their fantastic menu. Highly recommend!

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a really long time. I loved the vibe of this place, cozy space, great music, cute aesthetic and really attentive / friendly staff. I ordered the small portion of caviar. The pairing of the flavours all went together so well and the presentation is fun. I also enjoyed their steak tartare which was excellent; perhaps one of the best versions I’ve ever had. Before food I ordered their sage + honey cocktail. It was refreshing and aromatic. Love that they carry a lot of local wine + alcohol options. This place is a GEM and I’ll be back for sure.

Went out for an anniversary dinner, my husband had never been so I took him here knowing it was right up his alley. The food was amazing! The service was 10/10. We had such an amazing meal and Yummy drinks as well the chocolate creme brûlée, soooo good! thanks for a wonderful night out as we don’t get them often we look forward to going again!

Warm and welcoming staff with great service. Atmosphere was enjoyable with good music. Food was great, just wish there was a little more of a difference between the side dishes between the scallops and the duck breast. We had the brown butter scallops, duck breast, bone marrow and the chocolate creme brûlée. Creme brûlée is a must for sure! Great dinner overall - thank you!

A must if you’re visiting downtown St. Catharines! We had Kally as our server and she was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. She gave us some great recommendations although I’m sure ALL of the food is fantastic. We raved over each dish! The charcuterie for 2 is well worth it with plenty of selection on the board. Paired with The Farm Chardonnay, it was a great combo. We then ordered the duck and the gnocchi, both of which were fantastic. 15/10! (Their patio in the summer is also super cute and cozy)

Great, local white table cloth steakhouse in St. Catharines. Personally preferred the laid-back lounge, but apparently that's been closed. Nevertheless, they've brought the piano upstairs to create a cozier atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers and mains; however would have preferred the gravy on the side. Otherwise, another delightful evening at Blue Mermaid.

Wow! Best meal, service and atmosphere I have ever experienced in the Niagara Region. They treat you like royalty no matter who you are. The food was out of this world and I just loved the restaurant itself. Outside isn't much to look at but once inside, just wow. First class. Can't wait for next years birthday!

Superlative! Elegantly simple, yet blown away by the hospitality of staff, we were greeted with a warm welcome and the biggest smiles, even when nearing the end of the night. My partner had "the best stake" he ever ate from this establishment. Both meals were superb. They went above and beyond for us, this was my partners first time here, when we left we both felt it was well worth the Drive, with a full belly and harm hearts we were glad to have chosen this restaurant on their 50th anniversary to celebrate ours. strangers but treated as family felt amazing. I would highly recommend for any occasion well worth the money you will not regret any time spent here. The kids and I walk by this place a lot and we finally stopped in. We were seated immediately. Our server was was very friendly and checked in on us frequently. We ordered 3 burger and fries. And an appetizer of deep fried dill pickles.from the time we were seated to the time the food came was over 40 minutes. I thought that was a let down as we were all starving. The restaurant was not full.The server explained after I enquired that they were busy with skip the dishes orders coming in. I’m not sure who’s at fault for that I think management. Overall the food was good not worth the 40 plus minute wait. I don’t think I would return for another meal.

They were very accommodating with my dietary needs. They have a dedicated gf fryer and prep area. They also offer to have your burger on a lettuce bun! I was amazed at all the options for me with cekiacs and a tapioca allergy.

Came in for Take Out. Haven't been in years and thought we would enjoy their delicious burgers. However, the meal we were provided was sad. We ordered 3 Burgers & Fries and Onions Rings. The Fries (which were tasteless) looked like they grabbed a tiny handful and threw them in the box (which is so bizarre because I believe in the restaurant they're bottomless), the burgers were grossly bloody and raw and the onion rings were small, skinny and hard as rocks. This is not how we remember the Works food. Completely disappointed and definitely won't be back.

My family and I have been coming here for a couple of years, and we love the staff and the atmosphere of this restaurant. I’ve tried other Works locations, but this one truly stands out. What makes this location special for us is how they consider my daughter’s needs. She has a serious food sensitivity that makes it hard to find a sit-down restaurant where she can safely enjoy a meal. Cross-contamination between certain food groups can cause problems for her, and most restaurants in St Catharines either can’t or won’t take the steps needed to help. Here, it’s a completely different experience. Kevin Blundell and his team are always attentive, careful, and accommodating. We visit often, and we have never had any issues with her meals. That kind of reliability is rare, and it gives our family peace of mind to enjoy eating out together. We really appreciate the extra effort Kevin and his staff put into making sure every detail is handled with care. Their kindness, professionalism, and commitment to customer service are unmatched. I highly recommend this place, not just for the great food but for the incredible people who go above and beyond for their guests.

If you go to Niagara falls canada side, you have to try this burger place. They have a good burger, I ordered sexy burger and it was so good. Highly recommended.

This place is really great. Having said that, what makes it 5 stars is the people working here. Shay in particular is an absolute wonderful server and an amazing human being. She was so kind to my children and myself and I watched her with other customers and she treated everyone the same. Effortlessly attentive and accommodating and it’s a really good feeling to be around people like her. Highly recommend to everyone including parents with toddlers.

After a long day twirling through the Grape and Wine Festival parade, our group of 13 arrived at The Works in serious need of good food and great vibes—and they delivered both in spades. From the moment we walked in, the staff were fabulous: welcoming, engaging, and genuinely attentive. Despite our size, they accommodated individual bills with ease and handled our various dietary restrictions like pros—no fuss, just thoughtful service, and some healthy banter. The atmosphere was upbeat and relaxed, exactly what we needed to recharge before heading home across Southern Ontario. Every meal was a masterpiece (including the peameal 😉). Whether you're craving comfort food or navigating food sensitivities, The Works made it easy to enjoy without compromise. Huge thanks to the team for turning our post-parade pit stop into a highlight of the day. We'll be back next year!

We had a great time at Merchant Ale House! The beer here is excellent—my wife and I each got a flight, and while we enjoyed everything we tried, the Blueberry Wheat and Sunset Glow were absolute standouts. Super flavourful, refreshing, and unique. The food was just as impressive. I had the Brisket Burger, which was delicious—tangy, spicy, and packed with flavour. My wife ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Sandwich and loved it. The cauliflower was crispy, perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of kick. Great beer, great food, and a chill vibe—definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Have a good selection of house brewed beers ( non-alcoholic as well) . Comparable to name brands. Good selection of bar foods. Had the brisket sandwich, which was great. Service is very friendly and efficient.

Stopped in to Merchant ale house with my partner as he is from Niagara and it used to be a place he frequented when he lived there. A unique establishment with many beers on tap. Their rotating taps offer a nice variety of different styles and flavours. A smaller venue but good atmosphere. Next time we will try to catch some live music.

Tried The Merchant Ale House today and really enjoyed it.The beer was super refreshing, and the food didn’t disappoint. We had the Garlic knot, Grilled cheese and the BBQ brisket burger,everything was delicious, but that brisket burger was absolute heaven.The sauces were amazing.Service was friendly and attentive. We were in St Catherines for the big soccer tournament and looking for somwwhere close by for a quick bite and a beer. The Merchant did not disapoint. We were the last of 3 families to show up with a short window before we had to get back to the park for the next game. The place was full at 2pm on a Sunday when the streets were quiet and Kate was super helpful getting us set up quickly. We had the club and brisket sandwiches, fried pickes and nachos and a few lamp lighters. All hit the spot the club was fantastic. Im not in St Catherine's often but this place is now on my must return list.

Mall is fairly empty during the daytime. Has the essential stores you need. Groceries. Clothing. Food court. Electronics. Book store. Free WiFi. Clean facilities. Huge free parking lot. Bus stops. GO bus stop as well. Seniors mall walking program seen available for a fee.

Hello First Capital, if the management is unsure about how to operate the mall, why not just close it entirely? You should take steps to revitalize this mall. Atleast, ensure that your stores remain open until the mall's closing hours; nearly 90% of the mall shuts down by 6 PM. It's quite a Shame for the management.

My friend and I constantly eat in the food court during our lunch breaks since we work in the mall, and the white lady janitorial person that works in the food court cleaning ALWAYS harasses us telling us how to “properly” sit while there are people literally sitting on each others laps and homeless people resting in the booths constantly. I’ve never had a good experience with her and she’s very rude and disrespectful.

You know you’re a mom when you go to the store for yourself and come out with bags full of things for your kids, especially when you have a daughter. My daughter is my best friend and is a great companion with her witty and humorous take on the world. We love going together on our lil shopping sprees. I happen to love the Fairview Mall in St. Catharines, I've loved it since I was a small child; not as many stores as before but still clean and quiet and very enjoyable to shop and stop for a bite to eat; the bus stops at the back of the Mall and that's convenient for me to get back home; I know the seniors in the area love it too, so I hope they will continue to remain open

I don't know who came up with the idea that it's sprawling but it's not it's a very small with not very good stores in it anymore. That mall has been dead for almost two decades! The day they got rid of the Cineplex Odeon is the day that mall died! It's a senior citizen mall! lol

Quaint little mall! It has all the stores we would need. Our favorite is Chapters and the Canadian Computers. We need more food choices!

I recently visited Lester B. Pearson Park in St. Catharines with my toddler, and we had an absolutely wonderful time! The play area is fantastic—perfectly designed for young children, with plenty of opportunities for both fun and learning. My toddler was especially fascinated by the educational elements woven into the play structures, which added an extra layer of engagement. The map play area was a hit, offering a unique and interactive way for little ones to explore. The splash pad was truly the icing on the cake! It was a hot day, and my toddler had the best time cooling off and playing in the water. The park was clean, well-maintained, and had a friendly atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for families. If you're visiting St. Catharines with young children, I highly recommend spending some time at Lester B. Pearson Park—it's a gem!

Large park with many grounds. Great for walks and sports. Tennis court, soccer field. Old trees make it worth the visit. Tennis and picker ball courts have lights come on at night. There are some players competing for their turn on the court sometimes.

If you truly want to have fun in life the park is where it's at. You may have to wait for the swing in the day time but you don't at night. There's places to chill alone and even climb trees with a friend there's enough space for dogs to go pee and kids to run free...

A very nice park. I went here for many school events and I never have any complaints. Not only does this park have a playground and a splash pad, it has a lot of open space for sports as well. There are two large soccer fields as well as benches and many open shaded areas.

THE PARK HAS A LOT OF SPACE, PARKING LOT AND IS WELL MAINTAINED AND CLEAN. NICE PLACE TO GO FOR A WALK, TAKE KIDS AND DOG FOR FUN. I RECOMEND IT TO EVERYONE.

Great place to spend the day with the family. Big playgrounds; clean; splash pad; picnic tables; soccer fields; tennis courts; and a quiet grassy/ wooded area for walk with the pups. (Dogs should be on a leash. Always.) Has a gorgeous sunset in the fall. Lots of space for activities.

This is a nice local park. My son enjoyed the splash pad and playground. It is fairly busy and seems like a good place to take your kids for an hour or so.

Large pavilion available. Band stand on grounds. Grass is well maintained. Clean with a lot of garbage around for use. Dogs must be on leash. Many portable toilets are available with a hard building near the beach. Amazing carousel with a playground located beside it. Right next to the beach.

Pork Dalhousie + Welland Canal. A day trip from Toronto to St. Catherine is a great idea! A watermelon will be the icing on the cake in this hot summer day. Diving into the blue water. Sleeping on the grass. We had made the memories.

Now that the construction of the pier has been completed last year,it's renovation is amazing. More parking spaces and more walkways and alongside the walkways is better lighting to enjoy the walk at night before park closes for the day at 9 pm. The Lakeside Carousel is a delight for all ages,closed for the winter season,will open in the Spring.

July 9, 2022 Excellent place to enjoy either alone or with family. Based on my experience as a family with 2 children, this place was phenomenal. It was our first time visiting the place and we had an incredible day, although I must mention that parking is a problem. Below I detail about the place. - Parking: It seems that it is made to make fines because you can pay a maximum of 3 hours and if you do not return before 3 hours there is already a security person ready to fine you. We had planned to stay all day so we had to set the alarm to come back every 3 hours to pay. (This is not just in this place but in various places in Ontario) . There is a parking permit but for residents in the area. . Free off-site parking, check their website . Machine does NOT accept DEBIT or VISA DEBIT cards. . $3 per hour For more help call to Customer Inquires - Carousel: It is beautiful and has the whole story in frames with photos that are hung on the wall. It is in good condition and transports you to times of yore. . 5 cents a ride . Donations are accepted . We went by this park on a Sunday afternoon in April. It was a very sunny day and there were quite a lot of people in the park. The parking was very big and it didn't take us time to find a space to park. Parking was also free between September to May. It was a clean park with a lovely view of the lake. We could also see Toronto on the other side of the lake! The park was clean and had many benches to sit if you get tired. We had a great time walking around the park. During off season, the washrooms were not opened but there were portable washrooms. We will definitely visit again!

This is an awesome park. It is beautiful to see the water especially in the evening. The carousel is also a fun thing for the kids.

We throughly enjoyed Lakeside Park on CANADA DAY! 🍁Well organized celebrations on this particular weekend, including food vendors, stage performances , mini golf games, besides a nice 🏖️ Beach. Overall, funtastic environment for families.

Nice experience with family. Take a step back into history and ride this $0.05 carousel. There are horses that move up and down, some that are stationary but still off the ground and also a horse & cart that sits on the rotating carousel platform for those who wish to ride. Music plays while in motion. There are images and information about the historical carousel displayed on the interior walls. Close to playground and beach. Clean & tidy area. Hand sanitizer available

A beautiful old carousel by the lake! The kids had a great time and it felt like stepping back in time for just five cents. Some of the original animals are still there. We also enjoyed the beach. The water was nice and the kids had lots of fun! Only challenge is getting a parking nearby.

Located in Lakeside Park ( willows in the Breeze...yes, that Park) Ride for only 5 cents, if you don't have a Nickel a larger donation is always appreciated. Great Park, take a stroll on the Pier or play in the sand on the beach.

Had an amazing time at 13th Street Winery! The wine tasting tour was informative and fun — every pour was unique and full of character. The atmosphere was relaxed with great vibes all around and live music. I had the chicken parm burger and truffle fries, and both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area or passing by, as it’s the perfect mix of great food, great wine, and great energy!

I have aged many of their wines and always a win. I live in Louisiana and luckily pass through at least once a year. Recently pulled out a few Chardonnays from 2017 (first visit) and had a few friends over and it was quite the evening. I love the atmosphere, the food, the art, well and the wine. Just come enjoy ya self. Made another visit, the updated outdoor eating area is great with a little music.

We hosted our micro-wedding here and it was a great experience from start to finish! The events team (Corinne and Jill) were very helpful and always answered our questions promptly. The event ran very smoothly and all of our guests were so pleased with the atmosphere, food and of course, the wine! A big thank you to Jill and Courtney, who took care of us that evening. We have visited a few times just to enjoy lunch or a glass of wine and all of the staff are always so kind and knowledgeable. The property is beautiful, food is always very tasty and the bakery has lots of great offerings too. The butter tarts are definitely top notch and we even gave them out as favours for our wedding. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Fantastic winery in Ontario’s Vineland. The wine is very good, an abundance of tables to sit and eat. The charcuterie board was very big! The pizzas were different and delicious. A wonderful way to spend a day, wine tasting and eating! The butter tarts here are phenomenal!! Definitely buy some if visiting.

Just a short drive from Toronto, 13th Street Winery offers so much more than just amazing wines — it’s a full wine-country experience! From scenic vineyard views and interactive wine tours to gourmet food, a beautiful art gallery, live music, and a charming bakery, this place has it all. We had an incredible meal at their outdoor Bistro (with live music playing in the background!) — I highly recommend the Grilled Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, Crusted Lemon Cod Sandwich, Focaccia Pizza, and Truffle Fries. The wines were excellent too! Their winery tours (available Thursday to Saturday) were a definite highlight — you get to sample wines paired with artisanal cheeses and house-made kettle chips in a fun, relaxed setting. Be sure to check out the on-site art gallery showcasing local artists, and don’t leave without visiting the 13th Street Bakery for their famous butter tarts — absolutely delicious!

My husband and I went to this location and it was absolutely filthy. Their prep table, work station, floors, seats, tables were all extremely dirty. There were about 4 people staffed and none of them were doing anything, only sitting down and hanging out. How is this okay? Customer service was not good either. If this is what it looks like at the front, I cannot imagine what's behind closed doors. Never coming back to this location again.

I got a 6 piece tossed strip basket half of the strips were the size of a chicken nugget, the rest were shredded up wtf happened? Who put this in a box and thought it looked good

Stood in line for 10 minutes to buy a cake, waited 20 whole minutes to get the cake after actually buying it. After having to ask the workers what was going on with the cake, they came out a minute later with simple handwriting on the cake, no cursive. On top of that the place was crowded, no where for the line to go.

The place is really dirty. There were at least 4 or 5 people working, not apparently busy, the tables weren’t wiped down, covered in ice cream, sticky grimy seats, fingerprints everywhere. If that’s what it’s like where the public are, how clean could the kitchen possibly be? The whole dining and service area need a serious scrub down and the whole experience would improve greatly.

Not sure if anyone working at this location knew what a banana split is supposed to look like but im pretty sure it's not this. Absolutely terrible.

Can your store please add more ingredients into the blizzards? I shouldn't be paying almost $10 for a cup of vanilla ice cream. There are other DQs that properly load up the blizzards so they actually taste like the flavour you ordered. Please do better!

Got an ice cream cake from here on the 28th of September for my birthday. Normally we'd go to a different DQ in the city, but they were closed. We both got a chicken strip basket as well, which neither of our fries felt like they were fully cooked. The ice cream cake was subpar. The bottom chocolate layer was pretty much non existent. And the top layer of vanilla had a weird freezer burnt texture to it. The entire cake just was off. The day after our order I saw on Facebook that this location was closed by the health department for multiple infractions, and seeing the reviews on here I can see why 🤢 Overall bad experience.

What an amazing place , the food was spot on authentic and the staff welcoming and accommodating. We had booked our table , but on seating preferred another location which they accommodated within the time they needed which was totally understandable. The service was excellent Edison, was attentive and delivered quality service and a smile that will see him do well in life. They food was spot on and those refried bean I can't wait to come back . The drinks were nicely presented and on point. Thank you to all the staff and the kitchen who often don't get their review , you're doing an amazing job. Gracias !

We visited this place for the first time — it’s close to the lakefront at Lakeport. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great! I loved the way the restaurant is decorated. We ordered enchiladas and fajitas — both were delicious! They even served us nachos with dip before we ordered, which was a nice touch. Definitely a must-try restaurant! We’d love to come again. 🌮✨

Authentic and charming! Enjoyed the food, and the great service. Our meals were quickly served. Appreciated that the waiter accommodated my son, they have a burrito available for kids, and he only wanted the rice and chicken without the tortilla. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars was because we had reserved for 3 to sit on the patio, and they only had a reservation for 2. They couldn’t accommodate us since it was full, we ended up sitting inside. Small mistake, but definitely worth trying!

What.a hidden gem... stopped off to have a quick bite while on a motorcycle cruise. Authentic Mexican cuisine...at least as far as i know... never been to Mexico... Had a fish sandwich from the lunch menu... was quite good .. had a fantastic taste and came with a nice salad... Had a chance to try their burrito... all i can say is wow... had to.weigh a pound.. and the taste way off the charts..... i need to return to try other options... Had a churro for dessert.... delicious... had chocolate and butterscotch dips... sooo good. And for the coffee drinker... excellent coffee... worth the trip just for the coffee. You have to try this place

We visited Port Dalhousie in the final days of September. We were a little unsure of which restaurant to visit on the strip, but were happy that we picked this one! Food was delicious, and authentically Mexican. The decor took us to Mexico and felt like we were on vacation. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend visiting, especially on a beautiful day, so you can take advantage of the patio.

Ok, stop looking where to eat around the area. This place is a MUST. The food not only the Paella is amazing! Service 1A! And the atmosphere is truly unique. For larger groups book your table in advance as well as the Paella as it could take 45 minutes. Don’t forget to order the best Margaritas I have ever tried OMG! Cheers. PET friendly. A small group of us came here to hang out. Orginallly booked for 3 people on the patio. Unfortunately there were only 2 seats, we sat outside until our 3 person arrived and we sat inside. While inside we were left alone for a while. We were okay with since we were talking and needed to look over the menu. When ready to order unfortunately they didn't have what one of us wanted, sold out as it was around 7:45 by this time, we all were there at 7pm. 1 person ordered ceviche. It was okay, looks delicious although you definitely needed the sauce to have more flavour. It took 2 times for us to ask and about 30 mins to get some water at our table, 2 of us already had drinks but 1 wanted water. We were kind of abandoned to be honest. It was a good atmosphere, it would have been nice to e outside as we reserved. I am not sure if I will return or not.

Ordered an XL. Was in a rush didn't open the box to check. When I got home I was in shock the amount of crust which I ordered regular crust. Only two bites on each slice and rest is crust. It was like a small pizza with hugeee crust around it.

Really great hot pizza! Both times now the pizza is delicious, well cooked and oven hot as if you baked it at home. Delivery is fantastic. Quick and nicely dressed delivery guys from the Niagara St store. Domino's has never disappointed me from 1978 Winnipeg until today in St Catharines.

I eat here more often than I should. One time I accidentally order a pizza with a topping my girlfriend is allergic to and they offered to take it back free of charge and replace it for us. Quality is pretty consistent, service is fast, and staff are friendly.

Every time I order from this location, it arrives cold. They begin making the order immediately upon receiving it, but then the driver doesn't leave until 20 minutes after its done being made. Today was the last straw when I ordered at 11:52 AM. They began making the order right away and the estimated delivery time frame was 10-20 mins. They completed making it at 11:59 AM. Then I waited and waited until 12:40 PM with still no update on the driver having even left the store yet. I called to confirm and the store admitted the food was still there. I don't know if they need more drivers or better timing with when they actually begin making the order to line up better with the drivers timing because this quality control and that they are ok with serving a pizza that sat there for 40 minutes is disgusting.

Been disappointed with this Domino’s location for a months went back today reluctantly and everything we ordered was spot on! How we remember fresh, delicious got what I pad for this time. Did not skimp on pizza dough the cheese toppings was great. Chicken wings won’t get again not a fan of the oven baked but that’s all good

Horrible SLOW service. Pizza arrived late & COLD. There is currently a 50% special off all pizzas and yes it was a Friday night, of course it would be busy with both those factors. So when it's a weekend night AND you are doing 1/2 price pizzas YOU MUST make sure you have enough staff and especially drivers to handle the additional orders. They failed at this and I paid the price getting a late and COLD pizza. I used their online tracker and after the pizza was double checked for quality it did not leave the store for just shy of 20 minutes (it should not have sat there that long) then went out for delivery finally and took another 20 minutes to get to my house (Google maps places me 5min drive away). I called and guess the driver had many orders with him and glad I got delivered after many others arriving COLD. All this could have been avoided if you had more drivers on hand and I have NO IDEA why there wouldn't be with a Friday night and 1/2 price pizzas - obviously it's going to be busy. EPIC FAIL

We went to Bolete for a special occasion dinner and the service and food did not disappoint. The server was very personable and did her best job to make sure that everything was superb. We enjoyed the warm olives and hummus platter to start our meal. Then had the chicken supreme and lobster pasta. The portions were perfect - enough that you were able to enjoy the dish, without feeling stuffed or that you had over indulged. If you are there early enough they did have some drink and appetizers specials that were for before 6 pm.

What a fantastic restaurant to visit in the St Catherine’s area. We had the best meal there. Started with the dumplings (mushroom) and the breaded Flor Di Latte. Both were excellent but the pickles that came with the dumplings were just out of this world. I had the roasted lamb and my wife the duck. The lamb was perfectly cooked with a sumptuous herb coating. The duck was perfectly done with a sublime sauce. The cardamom mash that came with lamb was a delight unto itself. I could have happily had a bowl of that on its own. Finished with a Pear and pistachio cake that just ended the meal well. We were so impressed with the restaurant, the food and the wonderfully attentive service by Tyreese. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.

5* service all round If you are looking to celebrate a happy occasion or enjoy the most amazing food ever then look no further than Bolete. Unique deco stands out from the artwork instantly followed by the warm welcome from the staff in the restaurant as you walk in. The drinks flow and are in keeping with the food listed on the menu .. such an amazing choice to choose from . We asked for something recommended & we were highly impressed with the quality of the food served for 4 of us in the party .. The food was served to perfection & tasted so amazing we can not wait to go back again .. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for the exquisite food served .. by far the best restaurant I have eaten in Niagara.

The food was absolutely incredible. One of my new favorite restaurants and will definitely visit again! Everything was delicious but my favorites were the duck and seared octopus.

We had an absolutely exquisite experience at Bolete tonight. The food was incredible, the wine paired perfectly with our meals and appetizers, and the service couldn’t have been better (shout-out to our server, Faith!). The chef made a point to say hi after our meal and we thanked and congratulated him for having one of the best restaurants in Niagara and beyond. If you’re looking for a truly amazing dining experience with a classy and welcoming atmosphere in downtown St. Catharines, look no further.

I have enjoyed Bolete Restaurant. I have been going for some time now. Most excellent service and food. Although at sometimes, have had inconsistency with their food. The Chef, stands over he's cooks. In an open viewable kitchen to the dining room. The Chef is excellent. His reputation deserves more. I'd like to keep attending this restaurant for the years to come. I hope it continues to grow in its craft. I would vouch for, Bolete Restaurant. I can recommend it.

I love this beach. It’s never too crowded. Not as crowded as the equally awesome Port Dalhousie Beach in St Catherine’s. Fairly easy parking, either at the beach or on the road leading up to it (street parking). Washroom facilities on site. Watch the sun sink into the lake.

I was in the area so I stopped in with my daughter to check it out. Upon arrival it looked like there was security. We went very early in the day so there was lots of parking. My first thoughts were that there is a water treatment plant right beside it so that ruined the vibes. The beach it self was not that clean l. I thought they would have gone a cross it and fluffed up the sand for a Sunday morning. We did walk around the area and there is a basic playground and swings. There is a beautiful area with lots of shade for walking. The washrooms were clean but the water in the lake looked sketchy. I prefer our go to which is port Dalhousie.

Sunset Beach is a great spot for a relaxed day by the water. The sandy shoreline is spacious enough for families, couples, and solo visitors to spread out, and the view of Lake Ontario is especially beautiful during the evening when the sun sets over the horizon. The water is generally calm, making it a nice place for swimming or just wading in on a hot summer day. The park area has picnic tables, shaded spots, and walking paths, so you can make a whole afternoon out of your visit. While it can get busy on weekends, the atmosphere stays friendly and laid-back. A little extra upkeep in the washroom facilities would make the experience even better, but overall, it’s a lovely place to unwind and take in some gorgeous lake views.

The beach is nice but the water was not very clean and had lots of weeds! It was at it’s full capacity when we visited in a Sunday evening.

We went here on Canada Day and spent the entire evening on the beach. It was beautiful, tons of sandy beach space, not crowded at all, we watched people setting off fireworks after the sun went down. It was perfect. I will be returning soon.

Excellent place for a nice sunset view. The water was warm, the sand was clean, there is payed parking $3/h or you can park on the streets around and walk 5min. Shallow water. Great for kids.

The reason I gave it 3 stars is that the water quality warning for this beach really sucks. The beach itself is nice, good washroom and change room facilities. The parking is $3 per hour and enough space available. One drawback is the water treatment plant on site which most of the time smells awful so try to get as far away from it on the beach. I checked the safety of the water on August 15 and it showed last checked August 11 being ok which is unacceptable since the update for August 15( not safe) showed up today August 16th! I went into unsafe waters with family and children on August 15th! This is irresponsible behaviour by the town! You have to do better!!!!🤯

It’s both a sanctuary for rescued animals and a welcoming spot for families to relax, play, and connect with the outdoors. The farm is home to a variety of animals including a deaf pig 🐖, cow 🐄, goats 🐐, sheep 🐑, horses 🐴 (a mother and her baby), ducks 🦆, geese 🪿, and more. Over the years I’ve also seen llamas, chickens, and other animals. It’s heartwarming to know each one has found a safe place here. While dogs aren’t allowed in the animal area, they are welcome on the trails outside, so you can still enjoy a walk with your pup. The property itself is stunning—tucked into a natural forest 🌳, surrounded by tall old trees and overlooking the lake. It’s the perfect spot for a hike or picnic 🧺 with the whole family. A scenic trail winds past three connected ponds that lead to the lake, home to geese, ducks, and turtles 🐢. Families with children will especially love the large playground. It’s spacious and well-designed, with swings for babies, bigger kids, and even accessible swings for children with disabilities. This is such a lovely place for the whole family. If you’re just looking for a nice place for a walk, or a place for the kids. This place is truly lovely. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid and im so glad it’s still here. The whole place is super clean.

Happy Rolphs is truly at the core of family and simple pleasures. Gorgeous walkway and sunset, tons of ducks, turtles, a resident skunk and of course all the little petting zoo animals. It has a huge playground for kids that looks to be updated annually because all the equipment looks brand new. I came here as a kid, and I love it still in my adulthood

An amazing place to stop for a picnic with the family. A small farm animal sanctuary with lots of trails and beautiful views. Very clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly.

It was a great experience at Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm. The animals look nice and healthy. The area with the animals is a little small, but the farm itself and the trails are quite big. There are a lot of geese on the trails, so beware of that. There is a free parking and even on Sunday there were free spaces. Additionally no tickets are needed.

Happy Rolph’s is a whimsical little animal farm! It was decorated for Halloween when we went and all the critters were busy having dinner. It’s free (they accept donations) and there’s a short trail that goes out to Lake Ontario as well.

Very convenient park to walk in for the neighbourhood and local schools. But stay on the path! Poison Ivy is spreading rapidly in the park. Many of the paths have it growing along the edge of the paths. They added a nice sitting area North East by the Canal to honor the family that looked after the Lighthouse.

The parking area is Free, nice BUT it is in a bad condition with lots of pot holes. The trails have a hike for all fitness levels/distances with something for all ages. Recently the maintenance seems to have vanished which may be a sign of the times. The bird life appears to have diminished which may just be my experience lately.

An absolutely gorgeous walk with spectacular trees and vines. Even some hidden treats like this beautiful Fairie home are pictured below.

Used to spend time there everyday now not too much but still love this place brings back memories memories back into the '70s and now it's lovely to see what they've done with it keep up the good work

Great stroller friendly place for a walk. Lots of forest and pond space for kids to explore. The other day we got to see snapping turtles hatching!

This is a 30 min drive from Hamilton and such an amazing place for a day at the beach. Parking was $3 an hour with a 3 hour limit. Arrived just after 11 am and Beach patrons were spacious families and umbreallas in full swing. By 12.45 it becomes even busier. Has showers outside the wall behind a snack shack which is fully equipped, firs $7 and ice cream $7. Beautiful sand and water and can easily walk out a km before dept is 5'4 and I can no longer stand.

Been vacationing in NOTL for 8 years buy just discovered this beautiful, relaxing beach last year. Now it’s a must do when we visit. Gorgeous views. Clear water. No waves so very gentle for wading into the lake. Plus clean restrooms and changing area.

Unfortunately the city of St. Catharines absolutely does not do any of the jobs it is supposed to, especially on the beautiful beaches it has. I live near by, and love to come in the afternoon with my kid and family, but this summer was the summer of nobody absolutely respecting other people around. Loud speakers blasting music, trash all around, dogs poop on the beach, jet-skis driving recklessly in the shallow waters, on so on… are the officials trying to run the city to the ground? Feels like it is on purpose?

The fireworks display on July first had some great moment. With the band playing as the sun set everyone was enjoying the beach. The traffic was terrific, as the song says, but the great sense of community in the little town of Port Dalhousie makes it much less frustrating than it could be. A very enjoyable evening.

We brought our bbq but they had a Pavillion where you could find seats and enjoy a meal together. - The ice cream was also quite good. - Washrooms are available and washing stations. PARKING $9 per 3 hours (when this is being written) - whoever decided a family would only want 3 hours to spend on the beach including parking, setting up, having the time and going back to the car - has never been to a busy beach. - it is needlessly expensive and really difficult to find parking Suggestions for the city: - make it 4 hours - have a full day parking option for $15 - provide recommendations for alternate spaces to park - have holiday alternatives.

Visited Lakeside Park Beach recently—it was quite crowded, but we still had a great time. The sunset was absolutely beautiful and made it all worth it. Such a peaceful way to end the day! One downside: we couldn’t recharge the parking ticket, which was a bit frustrating. And the 403 traffic getting there and back was pretty rough. Tip: Bring your own food, a mat, and some games or sports equipment to really enjoy your time. It’s a lovely spot for a picnic or just relaxing by the water. Overall, a nice place for a relaxing evening—just try to visit during off-peak hours and be prepared with parking!

Beautiful, clean beach. Water is shallow making it a great beach for kids. No life guard on duty. Parking lot gets full so arrive early. Parking is for 2 hour lots only. There is a convinience store with food and drinks. Family friendly restrooms and men and womens restrooms that are always clean.

Brussel Sprouts were exceptional. Garden Salad was fresh and the maple dressing was tasty. Atmosphere was upscale enough but not pretentious. Prosciutto pizza was a tad underwhelming flavour but fresh nonetheless less. Great views from patio. Pizza took a bit in between completion of h'our douvres. Will go back again.

Recently, we visited this cozy Italian restaurant and it was an absolute delight. We were warmly welcomed, and from the very first moment, we felt the inviting atmosphere. We were served aromatic bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and the drink selection was impressive – Italian wine and excellent beer. The main dishes were simply exquisite: wood oven baked pizza, amazing veal parmesan, tender salmon with potatoes, a juicy steak, duck confit, and soup – each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The plating was truly mesmerizing, making the entire dining experience a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. I would definitely give the chef a perfect score, as I was thoroughly impressed! Additionally, our waitress was wonderfully tactful, never pushy, and she checked in on us periodically. We will definitely come back.

It is no wonder the Twisted Pig is busy. The food is delicious! The pasta dishes, and pizza’s were very well prepared. You will not be disappointed. I added garlic shrimp to my Caesar salad, they were done to perfection! The Frutti de Mare large shrimp, mussels and nduja salami in a spicy tomato sauce was next level! Service was great and attentive. We sat on the patio overlooking the water. We will definitely be back!

Service was fantastic! Dessert was really good too! The pizzas were all burnt on edges and underneath, but I guess that's what they do (seeing the other photos here) I had the vegetable pizza which was more like bruschetta thrown on the middle of it and half the pizza was just plain dough. It was so flimsy I had to use cutlery to eat the pizza. If I go back it would be for a coffee and dessert only, but I doubt I will. It was fairly priced. I think I just expected better. I did not have that WOW feeling when I left.

We went here for lunch on a sunny day during summer. It’s right by the harbour. We had great spot by the window looking over the water. We started with Burrata Salad - appetizing and fresh. Not unique but surely refreshing. Then we had pasta for dinner. I was recommended gnocchi Gorgonzola it was good, unique flavour combining sweet honey nectar/ elderflower with creamy cheese. The dish was good, but the portions were smaller for my expectations, the other pasta dish had a good portion size. Then we got dessert, I got the crème brûlée. It was unique, with citrus zest and cardamom although the crisp sugar layer was burnt for us. That made the dish bitter to start with. Overall it was good experience. You sure can stop by for the views and food is decent but not somewhere I’ll go ever so often! Thank you to our dining and service staff for letting us dine in!

We celebrated our anniversary this past weekend on a recommendation. Our server was late for her shift but the waitress that took over for her was amazing and actually kept our table. Our food was fantastic, we got oysters, the charcuterie board, we each got a pizza (proccutio and buratta, and the duck) both were delicious. We got the tiramisu and carrot cake for dessert. Everything was yummy and we brought home lots of leftovers

Really great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The fresh fresh and oil was such a great touch, and the meatball appetizer was tasty. My husband had the gnocchi and I had the chicken piccata. Both were great!

Absolutely incredible Italian food! The vibe inside is romantic, the staff are amazing, and even the owner came out to check on us, which was such a nice touch. The antipasto board was loaded and delicious, and the homemade pasta was out of this world. Every bite showed the quality and care that goes into the food. Can’t wait to go back and try even more—this place is a true gem!

we showed up for a date night and everything was delicious, i had made the reso for two earlier in the day , but it was busy so i would recommend making one no matter what day/time. We got the bruschetta and our server Alana gave us some sourdough to start, both were very good, I thought the tomato’s on the brushetta were marinated very well. For mains we had the Ravioli avanti?? and theeee… some kind of seafood fettuccini, mine was excellent the duck was cooked to perfection, the fettucini was okay but left something to be desired as it was abit bland in flavor(still well cooked, the shrimp was done well). For dinner we got the tiramisu which is to die for highly recommend getting a slice of that:) Overll great little date night spot, not to pricey and the servers were great nice to find ppl who enjoy there jobs 🫶🏻

Absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant! Such friendly people! Multiple people came over to chit chat with us and ask about our day at Sunset Beach. The lady who served us, Pam, was so wonderful! She was polite, courteous, friendly and even spoke to us about her life experiences. The food was really good! We had the spinach ricotta ravioli, a veg salad and Alfredo pasta. Best of all, they even offered the yummiest strawberry gelato ice cream to the kids and limoncello shots to us adults to end the night. Would certainly return to this place!

Stopped in for supper last night to celebrate our anniversaries. Had a great meal and our server Amanda was very nice. She explained everything and made us feel at home with her smile and her witty attitude. I would definitely recommend this restaurant great food and atmosphere.

I heard Valley Restaurant is associated with Cafe Amore also located in St Catharines. The two restaurants have very similar ambience but Valley Restaurant is more intimate and quieter. The menu of Valley Restaurant is pure Italian and their claim of fame is all their pasta are homemade. I liked their pasta, but the cream based sauce was a bit too heavy for my taste and risotto was slightly overcooked. The meat on the other hand was well cooked. Service was excellent.

A Memorable Evening on The Valley's New Patio! Yesterday, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a lovely evening on The Valley's brand new patio. The patio's vibe is a true extension of the well-thought-out ambiance inside, creating a seamless and enjoyable atmosphere. We savored the Cajun Rainbow Trout special, the Pistachio Sweet Potato Ravioli in a cream sauce, and the Veal Parm. But here's where this excellent restaurant truly shines: my wife, a gluten-free vegetarian, was delighted with a lovely pasta dish that came with the unexpected bonus of bread. The exceptional service extended even to our dog! I realized he needed food, so I ordered him some grilled chicken. Not only did the chef personally bring it out to him, but she waited to see if he liked it. My wife and I couldn't help but wonder aloud afterward, "If this is the care and love they put into the food for our dog, imagine the passion they pour into our own meals!" All of this, paired with the exceptional service and delightful company of our server, Eden, made it truly an evening to remember. Thank you, Nadia and your team, for an outstanding experience!

Fantastic pizza, delicous cold drinks..... From the second we came here we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Food service was super fast and the food was delicious. ( smoked meat pizza ) is my recommendation. It was perfect ❤ After a great lunch we all did a tour of the distillery..... A huge shout-out to LIAM! ( our tour guide ) what an amazing character, funny and extremely knowledgeable. Made the tour and the end of the afternoon so much fun. The tour was great, tried some delicious drinks and came out of there buying a bottle of the vanilla liqueur and a bottle of #99 whisky sour . Amazing place to spend a whole day eating, drinking and laughing. Can't wait to come back! Thank you Wayne Gretzky Estates! Wonderful memories have been made here.

We visited Wayne Gretzky Estates for a tasting in the Club Room and had such a great time. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience feel special. The tasting itself was excellent, and to top it off we ended with a round of cocktails. The highlight was a fun little murder mystery game that actually earned us a free cocktail for our next visit. Such a unique and memorable touch! Can’t wait to come back.

Wayne Gretzky Estates Niagara-on-the-Lake is unlike any winery I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere was so relaxed and genuinely family-friendly, which is something I’ve never experienced on a wine tour before. It almost felt like a big park in the back, where adults could sip wine and cocktails while kids played and enjoyed the space. The shop was really cool, filled with classic hockey photos and Gretzky memorabilia. I loved the casual, upbeat vibe of the whole place. There’s also a restaurant on-site, which I didn’t get a chance to try this time, but it looked great. I heard there’s even a skating rink in the winter, which sounds amazing! Overall, it was alive, happening, and just a fun place to be, especially for families.

As wine club members, my wife and I visit Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery a couple of times a year. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are always friendly. We recently took the cocktail making class, which was a fantastic experience thanks in part to our instructor, Ken. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and made sure the class was fun for all. We made three cocktails (each more delicious than the last). Highly recommend stopping by Wayne Gretzky Estates if you are in the area, sign up for the cocktail class with Ken if available, it's a perfect complement to their wine tasting.

Fun tour to do while in niagara on the lake. The tasting was enjoyable trying red and white wine along with their famous whiskey and whiskey cream. Delicious! They also provided a discount on bottles at the shop after completion of the tour. The restaurant was also pretty good just wish it had abit more shade.

We have come many times and has almost become a tradition to stop here at Wayne Gretzky's to pay homage to the great one and to stock up some of his wines. Today we did a tasting and really liked the ice wine and whiskey . The beauty of doing a taste and gives you a discount at the store!

Canadian wine isn't really my thing, but I enjoyed a pleasant enough visit to Wayne Gretzky Estate winery on a recent trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The wine is downright bad (I am sorry to say this, but I would call it completely undrinkable), but the grounds and setting of the winery is top notch. Wayne knows what the people want, and he delivers - just not in the category of tasty wine. The winery itself is modern and welcoming. As a hockey fan, I especially appreciated all of the memorabilia of Wayne's record-breaking days as a professional athlete in the NHL. Take some time to browse so you can see it all. Also, be sure to check out the well-curated gift shop, which features some cute hockey and wine themed merchandise. We arrived in the evening without a reservation, and luckily the hostess said she could find a space for us. The tasting room was very busy, but we had a high top table for two. I noticed the clientele was mostly female / groups of women who looked like those "see and be seen" type of ladies, all decked out in designer shoes and handbags with perfect makeup and hair. This is a great place for a girls' night out, with its welcoming yet chic atmosphere. We opted for two different tastings from the menu so we could have a nice variety of wines. We chose a range from white, reds, and dessert wines, and there was absolutely nothing to our liking. We were also hungry and I was delighted they had a modest food menu (we ordered the warm baguette with whipped maple whisky butter for $10) which was tasty enough, if not Earth shattering). The tasting itself was just okay. The service was prompt and our knowledgeable hostess answered all of our questions (but wasn't much on small talk). The major problem I had is that she was doused in stinky perfume. This is a huge no-no at a winery, and whenever she came by to check on us or to deliver something to a nearby table, all I could smell was her perfume. It's not that it smelled rank or anything, but it really did interfere with the taste of the wine. The wines were very low quality, and I couldn't bring myself to take more than two tastes of each one. I guess if I had to drink something it would be the dessert wine, which was creamy yet the overpowering maple is definitely an acquired taste. Note that tastings are pricey and bottles are as well. There's a separate bar for tasting spirits and a stunning outdoor patio area if you want to come and hang a while. I'd definitely return here for the grounds and setting alone, but I'm going to pass on the wine.

Easy to medium challenging tracks, neat stuff to discover, but really no chance of getting lost. Great any time of the year! Trail running, the best of hiking and running! Mixed terrain, alternate side trails and with access to the Bruce Trail, this conservation area will not disappoint. Add more kilometers when you park outside the gates and walk/run an extra 2 km (return). If you prefer running on these rugged, swampy, and gritty trails to the cool, scenic colors, you'll want to run on these trails! The trails are hilly, rocky and narrow with options to take further wider footpaths on the main trails. Family friendly depending on choice of trails, however, not stroller or mobility aid friendly. Bring water and be prepared for "natural on site facilities". Alternately drive to the entrance but very narrow with muddy roads and be watchful for pedestrians. It is very refreshing from the 'magic' conservation areas and instead take in the rugged beauty of the cliffs. Find Laura Secord's trail and imagine what it must have been like when you walked 30 kilometers in the War of 1812 to warn James Fitzgibbon that Americans

This one’s a bit tricky to rate. If you’re after a quiet trail that’s easy to navigate and great for kids or beginner hikers, it’s a solid 5/5. For more seasoned hikers, it’s more of a pleasant forest stroll — mostly flat with minimal elevation, but still enjoyable. The trails are well-marked and well-maintained. Parking is limited, though it’s usually not too busy outside of long weekends. Keep an eye out for coyotes — I’ve spotted them even during the day. It’s also conveniently close to the Niagara Outlets and White Oaks Spa, making it a nice addition to a day trip in the area.

Refreshing! The air felt so clean and fresh from all the surrounding trees. The trails are somewhat bumpy. Interesting rock formations along the paths. Nature is a sight for soar eyes. It's so revitalizing!

This is a great 2.5km trail loop to explore and enjoy nature! The hills aren't too bad and the terrain isn't too rough so it's perfect for casual trail walkers and runners of all kinds! A lot of wild life and pretty flowers to brighten your day as well! You will LOVE it here!

Beautiful hike for autumn. Can make it as long or short as you want since there is quite a few paths you can take.

A nice forest conservation area that's a short 3-min drive from the Outlet Collection at Niagara and from White Oaks Conference Resort and Spa. Parking on site is free and is mostly parallel parking on both sides of street/lot. There are a few trails to choose from and there's lots to see. Different elevations so be prepared for a lower and upper level hike as you're next to the escarpment. The views are amazing and the trail we took was a loop so there wasn't a need to double back.

Great place to walk. I brought my dog. Bring water for your dog, I didn’t see any access to the lake. I love the boardwalk. A beautiful view of the water and long enough walk which leads into open area with play area for kids. Lots of huge trees to sit in the shade and take in the beauty, or have a picnic. Very peaceful park. Very well kept and clean.

My walk this morning started with a breakfast at the Captains Cabin Cafe. Following the path from Rennie Park across the bridge to a royal Henley park and finally concluded at Jaycees Park. Certain plaque also mentioned the pond as Martindale pond. If you are St Catharines resident try to get here once in the summer.

Wonderful local park that we did a Niagara Segway tour through. There are several very different statues and memorials. The area has a long and strong competitive rowing history that is well represented. One area seems very unknown or mystery maybe less publicly visited, the Hiroshima Memorial - "May PEACE prevail on Earth". It is an unobtrusive art piece that should be visited and the reasons it is there reflected upon. Rennie Park should be visited for the open air and well kept landscape, but don't forget to stop at the memorial.

Great little spot to walk around and enjoy some Christmas displays of lights. They could have gotten a bit more creative with the window displays (ie: the candy store and movie theatre). Parking was available.

My senior parents and I love to grab a coffee and come sit in the park. It's very peaceful. Lots of Canada Geese or Honkers as my Mom calls them hang out here. We feed the squirrels and birds. We say hello to all the dogs and their owners

Went for a walk to re-visit the henley rowing coarse my daughter raced on back in high school. Nice place to walk with trails and bridge going over the pond.

Amazing time at Let It Glow! We live out of town but it was worth the drive to visit the beautiful displays of both lights and holiday themed statues. Many photo opportunities, which was super fun.

The facility is a great place to bring your kids. Its clean, always maintained and have the best activities for the kids. My kids thoroughly enjoy their time. We come every week. The staff are super friendly and keep the place immaculate. Do come.

We love coming to Playtopia! The staff are always so welcoming and cheerful. The monthly pass is a great value for those who come frequently too! Weeknights are generally low numbers so that is lovely. Weekends tend to be quite busy, as they offer birthday party packages. It's can be a bit of a sensory overload if your child is sensitive to that. Otherwise, highly recommend as a fun family adventure!

I took my 8 year-old grandson to Playtopia last Saturday and was very pleasantly surprised at what a great experience it was!!! Since it not massive, it was easy to keep an eye on him while he was enjoying himself. There was plenty of places to sit and view the play area which is very much appreciated for us “old-ish” Grandparents. The Staff were very accessible, helpful, and very customer-services oriented! I will return with him again!!

Worth every penny! There’s so much for the kids to do in there. Multi level playground, huge slides, trampolines, trampoline basket ball nets. There’s so much in there, plus the arcade. The water trampoline things for the little kids was cool too!

We had an Amazing birthday here for my son! His friends and their parents had such a great time nice new clean facility with private party rooms and a perfect place for small and older kids to play! They also have an arcade! We got exceptional service from Ratu for our party she helped me with all the details during the event and made it so easy for me! Highly recommend for your next kids party! 🎊

Zara was a wonderful host to our group. Very responsive, inclusive, and friendly service. The facility itself was also larger than we expected. The kids were tuckered out after our visit - though they didn't want to leave. It was also very clean and not crowed when we went. As someone with kiddos who have some extra needs, it was nice to have an air conditioned place that felt safe and inviting on such hot summer days. We will certainly be back.

My daughter and I though this was a very cool place. They have both exercise and gaming. The staff were very pleasant. I paid around 20.00 for entry including socks. They serve coffee there but allowed me to bring my outside coffee in. The place is very clean. I will definitely return again.

I live near this park. Actually, I moved here because of this park. I thought it was a nice park to walk and play. Not anymore. Our city allows homeless people to live in public parks , have generators to run and trash the entire park because they fail to remove them and deal with them! What a shame St Catharines!!

The 18 hole frisbee golf course is a lot of fun. Lots of the holes have hills, trees, water, etc that make them tricky and challenging. Very nice park and area overall. Happy we stopped by to play.

This park is nice, that said I was there yesterday to do a quick walk around and came up to a group of men shooting herion! I was scared for my safety but since I was half way around the park I needed to keep going. The feeling of not being safe isn't ok and God knows where those needles end up?! Plus all the garbage left around because if the homeless people living in tents. Something needs to be done.

Beautiful park! Nice disk golf coarse! Littered with homeless people along the entire park. You will see trash everywhere, tents everywhere, and don’t be surprised if you come across buckets that wreak (you know what it’s for). Mopeds, generators, and fires going will ruin your time. Just stay away until this place gets cleaned up.

I used to come here every night for running with the beautiful light of the fireflies, now the only light I see it's come from the drugs pipe of lots of people hanging out here. It's doesn't feel safe.

I’m highly impressed ! Kids learning area was great, I loved the mental health forest. All the conservation ect. The issue was we had followed the nap and some of the signs were mis-leading and we ended up on the Bruce trail somehow and had to turn back the way we came. I would also say unless you have a hiking stroller or wagon. Or just one that’s stronger better off using a baby carrier. It’s all gravel not paved. Lots of shaded areas and things to explore. You’d never know it was there !

Great little conservation area. Pond is loaded with catfish. I don't know why they don't allow fishing.... View from the summit is spectacular. Trails are a little rough and washed out in areas. The only facilities are Jonny on the spots...

First timer at Rozie's and was impressed by the laid back vibes and great service. Food was exceptional. I had the light weight (1 egg, sausage with rye toast) with added side of avacado, smoke salmon and cornbeef hash. My wife had the Boathouse. Everything was delicious and thoughtful prepared. Cornbeef hash is a must try IMO.

Our Eggs came out perfect and everything was delicious. I must say, the Coffee was really good. I am not big on fancy Coffee's but I do Love my Drip Coffee's !! As far as a Diner/Cafe's go - one of the best Coffee's I've had. Service was top notch !! EVERYBODY on staff were Friendly & attentive. Even the Customers were Friendly and engaging. Pizza is great. Service and general attitude of staff towards customers is less than pleasing to be around. We were met with F bombs and complaints about us ordering, and just a not good look for new people. The attitude alone made it less than enjoyable to be in there.

Not a great experience, the pizza was just ordinary but their prices meet industry standards! BTW, it was a medium size pizza ordered from the store and they asked me to come after 30 minutes to pick. So your explanation about the quality is not valid. I still have to say the food was tasting so old and we have thrown it almost everything. I could see many reviews from others saying the same, and it proves my review (experience) is genuine! thanks for the response though.

First time. Just ordered a traditional 12 slice pepperoni & cheese.. It was below average . Frozen pizza would have tasted better and I hate frozen pizzas.. crust was really thin and dry sauce was spread too heavy for crust and lacked flavour. I was kinda surprised to receive coupons for money off my next order when I picked up my pizza as the other places I’ve tried don’t do this. Now I know why

The first time I ordered my pizza online, thought I’d give it a try. Walked in 25 mins later they had not even started my pizza, this was a few weeks ago. I thought I’d give them another try today maybe it was a one off. I ordered online again I read it carefully the confirmation it will be 30 mins was the estimated time. I walked in 35 mins since I ordered, it was not ready for another 15 mins. I won’t be ordering from there again. The staff didn’t apologize for this happening or even seem to care. The pizza was fine, nothing outstanding.

Great selection of Italian food. The seafood and pasta dishes are tasty, fresh and huge. There is a great selection of appetizers but don't overboard with the apps because you need to leave room for the entrees. The dessert and coffee options are very good.

I have been Coppola’s a couple of times and every time had a fantastic experience. The service is always polite and extremely professional. The restaurant itself is a little dated, but it doesn’t matter when the food is that good. Our recent experience, there were four of us. We got the goat cheese, flatbread, and garlic bread as starters. Garlic bread is what you’d expect. Loved the goat cheese flatbread. For an entrée I had the four cheese ravioli in a mushroom cream sauce it was delicious would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a Italian experience for what I must say is a reasonable price.

I visited Capolas last night for the first time. I highly recommend dining here.Everything from the food, device and ambience was the highest quality. Large portions and even purchased a bottle of their house sale dressing to take home. I'll be back soon for sure.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Coppolo’s. There were just under 50 out of us. We had our own room and 2 servers to take care of us. Right from the original booking meeting to the end of our evening, everything went very smoothly. Jerry couldn’t have been more accommodating. Our guests loved the food. The staff were very efficient and pleasant. Thank you to everyone at Coppolo’s for making our special event so enjoyable.

I never had been here before. My uncle decided to take us here as a family reunion since we haven’t seen each other in about 10 years!!! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the portions were the perfect serving. Most of all, customer service on point!! Never in my years I have seen such great service from a server! she was very lovely and i wish i have gotten her name. Thank you to the Keg for bringing my mother and her brother together, it was sweet and beautiful to see them connect again. 100% coming back.

A Perfect Friday Night at The Keg – Thanks to Jordan! We went to The Keg in St. Catharines for dinner on a Friday evening and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. We had called ahead, so getting a table was smooth and easy, and the overall service was impressively quick for a busy weekend evening. What really made our visit stand out, though, was our server, Jordan. He was absolutely fantastic — friendly, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. It was my first time visiting The Keg, and Jordan made sure everything went perfectly. He had great recommendations, checked in at just the right moments, and made us feel truly welcomed. The highlight? At the end of the meal, he surprised me with a special dessert, which absolutely made my Friday — and kicked off my weekend on the sweetest note. It’s rare to come across service that feels this personal and genuine. Thank you, Jordan, for going the extra mile. Your warmth and professionalism made my first visit to The Keg a memorable one. Very nice experience, waitress was very friendly, the staff was professional, waitress knew the menu well. Steak was done perfectly, calamari was done excellent, nice and crispy. The dipping g sauce for the calamari was a perfect choice they added. Thank you for the great service and food.

April 26th family dinner at The Keg with one of my sons, my daughter in law and grandsons. We had an amazing time. Very delicious dinner, great selection, drinks, atmosphere, beautiful inside with gorgeous leather seating, bar seating, table seating, lounge. Tiana, wait staff, was very attentive, and personable. She brought carrots, cucumbers with dip for my grandsons to have before mains. They didn’t want an app but were hungry. Tiana didn’t charge us for that. So sweet. My grandsons had steak with fries. They enjoyed their meal. They both had ice cream with chocolate drizzle for dessert. Yum!!! I had calamari with 2 very delicious dips. The presentation needs to be better, regardless the calamari was perfectly done. My Caesar was excellent, one of the best. I had a latte with Crème Brûlée for dessert. I’ve never had Crème Brûlée it was delicious!!!! My son and daughter-in-law had appetizers then steaks for their main. Perfectly done steaks and delicious appetizers. Thank you to The Keg, Chef and wait staff for a perfect environment, food and service. Take out is available. Reservations are a must!!!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

We dinned here last night for a birthday dinner and it was incredible. One of the best dinning experiences I have had at a keg location in a long time. Our server was very accommodating to my allergies and the food was delicious. They went above and beyond.

It’s been an incredible dining experience for my first time here. It was an amazing night out on a Saturday. Everything we ordered were delicious, I was impressed by starting the meal with their Spiked Matcha Colada it was so gooood, and tasty tuna tartare I love their tuna tartare. Then I got the main with Keg burger and finished off with a cappuccino. Everything was well organized and they get real busy on weekends so reservations are needed. Our server Taylor was really sweet, professional and caring. Will definitely be back very soon!

Best prime rib and the baseball sirloin was also a revelation! Great and attentive service - my sister’s sirloin was overcooked and they replaced it in a jiffy and were most apologetic. One of the chefs actually came out to assure us they were getting a replacement. 5 star service!

Had a great hike at Short Hills today. No ticks in late May but I still did wear spray and long sleeves just in case. Conditions were good - horses chewed up some of the trail likely after all the rain we have had but it’s manageable and only one spot on the Swayze Loop. Swayze Falls was dry, but the Terrace Creek falls had some water going. Super quiet and a great morning.

There is a decent amount of free parking with additional parking on the road. There is a bathroom in the one parking lot it seems to be open year round. They have alot of hiking trails there, you could hike for 20k and not see the same trail twice. Swayze falls is very beautiful, but does dry up quite a bit in the summer. You can walk up the creek and see the falls from down below with is really nice. Makes a perfect place for a picnic. Trail can get quite muddy, but lots of fun.

My favourite local hiking spot. If you deviate from the main trail you can find yourself exploring some really cool areas. Hikes can last from 1 hour to several depending on where you decide to go. I love coming here every summer for my cardio. I highly recommend wearing long pants and long sleeved apparel aswell as hiking boots if you veer away from the main trail as ticks are quite prevalent. It can also get fairly muddy after a rainfall. Have fun! And always check yourself afterwards! Happy hiking!

After hearing from multiple friends who enjoy hiking that Short Hills Provincial Park is the best place to go, I finally decided to visit last year. Unfortunately, Apple Maps led us to the middle of a road. After driving around for a while, we gave up and went to a familiar spot instead. Determined to try again, we revisited Short Hills last week. When the same thing happened, I checked Google Maps and quickly realized the issue: I hadn’t entered the correct parking lot. Once I entered ‘Parking Lot A’ into my device, we arrived without any trouble. Despite the initial setbacks, I am extremely disappointed with all the potential hikes I missed out on over the past year. Short Hills is undoubtedly the best place for avid hikers in the area, not crowded with tourists like some other popular hiking spots. With an abundance of trails, you can use the AllTrails app to decide the distance and route of your hike (follow me on AllTrails, Scooter Nagy). I highly recommend giving Short Hills Provincial Park a visit; you won’t be disappointed by the beautiful trails and serene environment.

Started coming here years ago to tackle all 7 trails. completed. Now I am bring my grandkids here to do the same. love the views. different levels of difficulty in paths. Ive seen wild turkeys, skunks, hawks, deer among others. Can't wait to go back!

While hiking the Bruce Trail from end to end we inevitably came thru the park. We have liked it a lot. The meandering creek flowing at the base of the sweeping hills gave us such a pleasant feeling. We didn't explore the other trails that are in the park, but we have put this place on our bucket list. The waterfalls were amazing as well. We only saw the Terrace Creek and the Swayze. Amazing sights, for sure

I’ve come to this park over ten times now and every time I leave amazed. The trails take you through various ecosystems; a hardwood grove ( black walnut trail), wildflower fields (scarlet tanager) waterfalls, thick pine forests ( hemlock valley). There are levels of difficulty for all to enjoy! I’ve always parked up by Pelham road and walked down the steep gravel path before merging onto other trails, but recently I broke with tradition and tried Wiley road. What a gem! Please try it. Scarlet tanager to hemlock was my favourite section this time of year because of the bustling wildflower fields. Teeming with butterflies and bees. In winter time or after great rains I’d say swayze loop because the falls are magical. Well worth the exhaustive 2 hours. Not this time of year, though. The drought effects everything.

Great trails the old mill and waterfall are a great site the history behind the pace is very interesting to learn about very nice day spent hiking and enjoying some history

Dam was closed and no falls around the mill. There’s a falls on the opposite side of the cliff. Comfortable walk but you have to follow the blaze. We stayed on Bruce trails marked with white. There are also Laura Secord legacy trail and trans Canada trail. Very scenic. Free parking if you’re going during high season come early.

This place had a rocky parking lot but was free to enter. There were some historical buildings here, as well as Decew Falls. My wife and I didn't stay long here but the surroundings was nice. There may be a way down but either we didn't really find a way. Overall, I recommend paying this place a short visit if you are visiting St. Catherine's.

Although parking is an interesting experience this site is well worth the inconvenience. The history is remarkable considering the site consists of only a few buildings. But the details that are presented on the dozens of plaques and the extremely dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers will provide you with a memorable experience. It would indeed be a shame if the levels of government can't get there act together to provide more water to the site. Oh and the hiking trails are well worth investigating.

Love places like this... Not only are waterfalls a fan favorite of mine but I like places that also involve some extra history and this place for sure checks off both. We enjoyed our stop here even though it was moving into the evening by the time we got there so the inside of all these places were closed. It was still cool and certainly worth the stop. If we had more time I'm sure we could have spent all day here. Check it out for sure if you are in the area! If you would like to go inside just make sure to check the open hours before going :)

Beautiful spot for a hike and if you can make it down to the waterfall you'll feel like you're in another country. There isn't a lot of parking so the earlier you can get there the better
