Shopping mall
Shopping
Food court
Bullring & Grand Central is a modern and iconic shopping destination in Birmingham, featuring a diverse range of high-street fashion, household shops, and restaurants. With over 140 different shops, it has its roots in the Middle Ages when it was used for the city's first markets. Visitors praise the variety of shops and the overall shopping experience. However, some feel that the dining options are limited compared to other centers.
We stopped off here on our way back from Scotland to pay our respects to Ozzy, have a look around, and get some lunch. We ended up doing a bit of shopping too. A great experience it had to be said
Jon M — Google review
The Bullring & Grand Central is so extensive that you’ll probably need a full, energized day to truly explore everything it has to offer. From high-street fashion to designer brands, restaurants, and cafes, the shopping and dining options feel endless. Outside, you’re greeted by the city’s icon, Ozzy the Bull, a must-see landmark and popular photo spot. What makes the experience even better is the direct link to Grand Central station above Birmingham New Street, making the mall incredibly convenient for both locals and visitors. With its mix of shopping, food, and city buzz, the Bullring & Grand Central is more than just a mall — it’s the centrepiece of Birmingham life.

So having arrived in brum by train we went to explore the ode bullring. I tell you what pal but the place was absolutely heaving for saying the weather had taken a turn for the worse and it was raining, the city is definitely a sleeping giant! We joined the many blues, sky blues, villans and old golds in checking the place out. I tell you what pal but I've never seen a primark or primarni as I call it so big, this bad boy of a store had 4 floors with a cafe, a greggs and even a pre loved section! It really was inspirational and I've not seen or been in another primark like it anywhere it really is an eye catcher baby massive kudos! Had a nosey in the body shop and I tell you what pal but the ode sugar pumpkin 🎃 section was absolutely banging it was a beautiful scent, hand cream, shower gels the full shebang people were going mad for it, reckon this stuffs the new best seller in brum land and the lady working there loved a good natter she was a good egg pal! Ended up getting a my cookie dough from one of the pop ups. It wasnt cheap pal, but i went with the cookies and cream with ice cream and oh my god pal talk about yummy yummy in my tummy or what. It was massive and very tasty indeed pal, I'll let you into a little secret but im sure I put 4 pounds on eating that bad boy! Walking back to the ode train station we were greeted by ozzy the mechanical bull, what a creature, what a construction all 33ft of him, definitely worth a look 👀 The other thing i noticed round ozzy, it absolutely stunk of wacky backy to the point that when I got back on the train my head was nearly touching the roof I was that high on the whiffer! Alot of trains cancelled today however no problems for us and we managed to get 2 seats together on the return journey but again that was a little bit whiffy as someone kept letting tommy squeakers off. A cracking day out though and definitely a sleeping giant there 😴 keep up the fantastic work you brummies 👏

Huge shopping centre, all-in-one. Convenient for shoppers as it is linked to Grand Central where the Railway station is located. ❤️

Bullring has lots of stores. There is something for everyone. From the bargain hunters to the premium shopper. Not too crowded when I visited and was very clean.

The Bullring & Grand Central in Birmingham is one of the premier shopping and leisure destinations. Its located at central location, train station are nearby, ample car paling, many cafes are available. A wide array of dining choices from quick bites to sit-down meals, visitors can enjoy various cuisines. Shoppers can explore a mix of high-street favorites and designer boutique offerings. This is a must-visit destination in Birmingham.
Abdulsalam P — Google review
it’s lovely, i like taking a stroll around and it’s never too busy, a lot of parking too and it’s just a nice chill spot to do window shopping, it’s funny how you have to go outside to get to another side of bullring sometimes but it’s nice. very unique.
Faizan ( — Google review
The Bullring dates back to the fifth century where the first stall was opened to sell coffee and doughnuts to wandering peoples practicing Germanic Paganism. At the end of the Roman Empire Christianity had failed to grip the imagination of the bods of Mercia as they worshipped the likes of Thor, Odin, and Tyr. The doughnut sellers had to ensure they had sufficient stocks as failure to supply may have determined that they be sacrificed, both human and animal offerings were presented to the gods. Over the years the Bullring grew, shop by shop, until it became the second city's biggest outlet. Please note there are still multiple sellers of doughnuts in the venue, honouring the sixteen centuries of sweet treats munching.

Birmingham Hippodrome is a historic 1,900-seater Victorian theater in Birmingham, UK. It has a modern foyer and hosts a wide range of performances including musicals, ballet, opera, and West End shows. Situated near the Arcadian Centre and Birmingham's gay village, it has become known for hosting spectacular productions such as The Lion King and Wicked.
10/10 if I could vote higher than 5. One of the most well presented venues in the West Midlands, bringing audiences from across the UK. For many years, I’ve enjoyed everything from pantomimes, musicals, and dance. My first visit to The Hippodrome was as a child of 6 years old and having seen behind the scenes of the theatre as a teenager, I know how hard the team work to welcome high quality productions to Birmingham. My old recommendation is to continue to review the ticket prices to remain accessible to all audiences from all ethnicities and ages. Prices have risen steeply and it’s hard to balance profit with inclusion

Really great theatre. Plenty of toilets, so queues move quickly. Lots of space front of house while waiting to go in. Comfy seating, and leg room not too bad. Had an incredible view from row B of the circle. Very expensive though compared to other non-London theatres.

Went to see Moulin Rouge. Went in my wheelchair. We were welcomed at the entrance and directed to the lift to take us to our seats. The staff gave us a rundown of all the facilities that we could use and were already aware of my needs from my access card. This made me feel very welcome and safe. Staff took our intermission drinks orders and delivered them to us with a smile. They regulally checked in with us to make sure we were ok. Fantastic service, venue, staff and experience. Oh, and Moulin Rouge was amazing too. Will be going back.

Went to see Moulin Rouge. Lovely venue. Great show. The lifts to the top floor were not working so this could limit accessibility for some guests.

Easy to find. Great city location. Staff all helpful and friendly. Reasonably priced bar. The theatre is lovely, but pretty much zero legroom so choose seats wisely. We saw Moulin Rouge here.... excellent performance 🎭
Paul S — Google review
Really enjoyed Moulin Rouge at the Hippodrome. Great production, good sing along at the end. Not a great deal of leg room in the seats for taller people.
C T — Google review
Wonderful venue. Saw Moulin Rouge. Excellent views from seats. Sound quality was exceptional. Would like to visit more often but the traffic situation currently in Birmingham is a complete nightmare. Took over an hour to travel 2.5 miles to reach the Mailbox carpark. Not the theatre's fault but not putting myself through that again.

A Fabulous theatre. One of the best we have been to. Very well organised. We also prebooked their pre-dinner dining at the same time as we booked the theatre tickets. We were so impressed by the quality of food served, the attendance by the restaurant staff was spot on. Then nipping back to your restaurant table at the break and having a pre ordered dessert and drink sat waiting in comfort, was just amazing. Would definitely book here again. It was all done so well.

Located in Birmingham, UK, Symphony Hall is a renowned concert venue known for its exceptional acoustics and striking architectural design. As the home of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, it offers a diverse program featuring classical, jazz, folk, rock, and pop concerts. Situated at the heart of Birmingham's bustling city center on Broad St., it provides an unforgettable musical experience amidst a vibrant urban setting.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Attended Man in the Mirror at Symphony Hall and had a fantastic experience. The venue was spotless, the seats were comfortable with a great view and the staff were incredibly friendly and accessible, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The show itself was exceptional, a true celebration of Michael Jackson’s music. From Bad and Black or White to Thriller and of course Man in the Mirror, every performance had the audience on their feet. Highly recommend for any MJ fan or anyone who enjoys an outstanding live show!

I recently went to see Symphonic Queen with my friend Lisa at Symphony Hall and the entire experience from when we walked in to when we left was fantastic. We were able to collect our tickets from the box office speedily, enjoying a reasonably priced drink at one of the many bars at the waiting areas, pre-ordering a drink for the intermission. We had side balcony seats which gave us a fantastic view of the stage and orchestra, the acoustics and lighting were phenomenal. The staff were incredibly pleasant, hardworking and helpful. There’s not a single thing that I can honestly say about Symphony Hall that is negative. I urge everybody to find a show they feel would be of interest and go see it. Symphony Hall is a place where you can make wonderful memories.

Beautiful night in a beautiful setting. The hall looks classic and well mantained. The lobby area is modern and well designed. We enjoyed our first ever concert in Birmingham, at the music hall.

What a fine concert experience to see the wonderful Boomtown Rats Saturday. Fine and friendly staff, effective signage, and a view par excellence. Crystal clear sound quality, so this great band connected with my eyes ears and above all heart.
Don M — Google review
Only one criticism. Some of the seated areas have very limited leg space, which is more noticeable during longer performances or shows. Due to long lines of seats with limited leg space and no access isles; everyone has to stand to allow someone in or out, after people have sat down. This also makes me question what would happen if there was an emergency requiring evacuation. How would that go? Not well I suspect, and certainly, accessibility for those with walking aids or wheelchairs would not be viable for these seats (though I'm certain that there will be other, specific areas where accessibility has been considered). Also another more minor issue... Drink/snack holders would be nice, though I appreciate this is not always considered appropriate at these types of venue. Other aspects of the venue were exceptional. Spacious, clean, well designed, well staffed. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were also of a good standard. Also I should say the crowd were excellent. Everyone was friendly and considerate, and excited or happy to be there. It was truly a joy to experience.

The hall itself is nice, comfortable seats, and the sound acoustics were great. The event itself was good, with a clear screen and an absolutely stunning orchestra. Slight disappointment that they didn't play the cantina band song live, and the queues for the bar at the interval were long which meant we ended up not buying a drink. Regardless, it was fantastic and the orchestra were definitely the stars of the show! I'd definitely go there again for future events!

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is located in a historic Victorian building that has been a prominent feature of the city since 1885. The museum boasts an extensive collection, including the renowned Pre-Raphaelite collection with over 2,000 remarkable pieces such as oil paintings, tapestries, stained glass, and ceramics by celebrated artists like Edward Burne-Jones and William Morris. Additionally, visitors can explore artifacts like the Staffordshire hoard.

Inside, the galleries are well-curated with a wonderful variety of exhibitions, from classical art to fascinating historical collections. The building is really mislabeled. There’s one room with Art which may have 20 canvases. One of them is quite a nice place but otherwise if you’re coming for Art, you’re not going to find anything that you want. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a museum with a great coverage of the history of Birmingham, the top floor of the building has a very excellent series of exhibits on this topic. That’s not why I came here, but I did enjoy it quite a lot. If you have kids, there’s a dinosaur exhibit on the lower floor. I think it’s 9 pounds for adults and free for kids. Otherwise, the museum is free. There’s a nice coffee shop.
Lon W — Google review
The museum was outstanding. Very clean, staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, and very considerate when providing assistance, especially to those with additional support needs. There's portable chairs behind the doors, a great personal touch when you're spending a few hours in there. I visited from Manchester to see the Ozzy Osbourne exhibition, the Made In Birmingham exhibition, and paid in to see Giants whilst I was there. Highly recommend and will be returning in the future. Gift shop was great, with lots of different quirky items connected to the exhibitions.

really great place, went for the ozzy osbourne stuff but i was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the displays. I like how everything in the museum is relevant to Birmingham or England. I felt like i got to learn tge place’s history. Everything was really informative, interactiv, and the whole experience was beautiful.

Great exhibitions. Highly recommend the Giants exhibition. Makes you reflect on how small humans are compared to these massive creatures. Lots of stairs, lifts, and seats, so very accessible. I love the 'The Elephant In The Room'. I wished it was a larger exhibition. Go as soon as it opens on the weekend. It gets very crowded. It's always best when you appreciate art when you have an unobstructed view of the piece.

Villa Park, the historic home stadium of Aston Villa Football Club, is a must-visit for football enthusiasts. Located in Birmingham, UK, this iconic venue has witnessed numerous memorable matches since its establishment in 1897. With a seating capacity of over 42,000, it stands as the largest stadium in the Midlands region. Visitors can partake in behind-the-scenes tours to explore areas like the players' lounge, dressing rooms, tunnel and press room.
A fantastic, iconic British football ground with a good amount of facilities. I attending the Back to the Beginning event here and the whole experience was incredible.Access into the ground was fairly efficient and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There are several routes to get to and from the ground and I was back at my hotel less than an hour after the concert finished.

Attended recent back to the beginning final black Sabbath show. Staff and security were friendly and helpful. Food kiosks were a little slow serving though when busy (and beer prices not the worst but still a little expensive).

For Guns and roses. As you would expect it was a very busy place. Entrance was through the football turn styles by showing my phone to a small screen, which proved difficult when passing it backwards so my partner could use it. No help from the security team. Seating was the same chaos, No help from the stewards, just a point in the general direction for your seats. Seating was tightly packed and confusing to find. As for the sound it was dreadful. A bad echo from the opposite side of the grounds made it impossible to hear the music correctly. It's built for football not live music.

At Vietnamese Street Kitchen, you'll find authentic Vietnamese food that's cooked with family recipes passed down from generation to generation. Delicious dishes such as bao buns, banh mi sandwiches, pho soup and rice bowls are all served with the same dedication to quality and authenticity that you would expect from a family-owned business.
The experience was perfect, nice weather the food came really quick, fresh and flavourful. It was my first time and I loved it here definitely will be back soon. The portion sizes are big worth the price aswell. Great customer service.

We had a lovely family meal at Vietnamese Street Kitchen and really enjoyed the experience overall. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with stylish décor that gave a nice modern twist to traditional Vietnamese vibes. The food was flavourful and well-presented, though it did take a bit of time to arrive. Prices were a little on the higher side for a casual meal, but the quality of the food made up for it. For starters, my wife and I shared the chicken mango salad and duck dumplings. Both dishes were fresh, full of flavour, and nicely balanced — a great way to start the meal. The kids were happy with their chicken mains served with chips and salad — simple but tasty and well portioned. For mains, I went for the Bun-Cha-Ha-Noi, which included fresh rice noodles, thinly sliced pork, king prawn meatballs, and a traditional spring roll. It was a delicious combination of textures and flavours. My wife had the grilled lemongrass chilli chicken — flame-grilled thighs marinated in a fragrant chilli blend — and she really enjoyed the spicy kick. Overall, a great spot for something a bit different. We’d return again, especially for the unique flavours.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and we were very impressed! The food was delicious and came quickly, the staff were friendly, and the portion sizes were generous! (There was plenty of meat in our dishes too which was great!) We had the Crispy pork belly noodles and Crispy pork belly bao buns and both dishes were hot and tasty! I would say this restaurant is a little on the pricier side, but we had a great experience and were very satisfied with our food! Would definitely come again!

Dinner at Vietnamese Street Kitchen was lovely but service was a little slow to both order and get our bill (8pm Thurs night). The restaurant was reasonably busy so had a nice atmosphere though. So really lovely vegan options on their menu including the not wings, which we've enjoyed a few times in different sauces. Note that the menu has updated as some previously vegan dishes are now vegetarian instead - so do check when ordering if that matters to you.

First time here, I came on a solo date, I love Vietnamese food :), this place was really good, great flavours and the customer service was amazing. I went for the Prawn Pho. Really helpful that they have a separate menu for Halal. Will definitely be back !

I visited the restaurant for the first time and was greeted with a friendly smile. One of the staff, Pinky, truly stood out. She was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and recommending dishes to try. When she overheard that we were celebrating my sister’s birthday, she surprised us by bringing over a crepe cake and singing “Happy Birthday” along with another waiter. We mentioned we were visiting Birmingham from Bristol, and she kindly suggested places to visit and other restaurants to try. Overall, the service was outstanding — something I haven’t experienced in a long time.

Been to VSK many times before but there was something different about it this time. It was definitely special due to our waiter, James. The service he provided was amazing. Very polite and friendly, gave his recommendations when asked and also helped work out what drink we had previously which we wanted again. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls, loaded chunky chips, crispy chicken with stir fry noodles, crispy chicken with egg fried rice and curry sauce. For drinks we had sprite, VSK ice tea and got a complimentary strawberry lemonade. We asked for extra curry sauce, sweet chilli and soy sauce for the mains. The food and drinks were amazing, nothing to fault. We also asked for the halal menu and they do have great options. Previously tried some of their other dishes and they were really good too! Thank you James for taking care of us and good luck with all your studies too! You made our evening very special! VSK he deserves a bonus! If you haven’t visited, it’s definitely one to try. There’s seating upstairs, downstairs and outside too. The atmosphere is always lovely, staff are friendly, food and drinks arrive quick and they have a variety to choose from!

The Meat Shack is a restaurant known for its cooked-to-order hamburgers and fries, located in a rustic yet contemporary interior adorned with wall art. Originally a street food stall, it has now established itself as a brick-and-mortar site on Thorp Street.
Came here for the very first time last week and it lives up to its reputation, got that cool illustrated vibe, that if you like that is nice to take it in. The food is lovely, gives American level food eatings, I would say for desert to get the jammy dodge ice cream

This place is ought to provide high-quality service and food since the prices are fairly high. I have order a burger with loaded fries and a drink: these all have costed me over £20. While I did really enjoy the fries (they were crispy and there was plenty of them), the burger did not meet my entire expectations. As the name of the establishment suggests that they specialise in food like burgers, I expected the burger to be a bit bigger and more juice since it felt quite dry and not much flavour containing. However, if you fancy to eat decent quality junk food beyond the most famous brands and willing to pay for this - The Meat Shack is the place to give a visit. I liked the cutlery options and the atmosphere with a lot of graffiti on the walls. Nothing special about the service, though they show a respectful enough treatment. You are also asked to wait at the entrance until they find a free table for you. Overall, it is OK. Nothing shocked nor impressed me.

I love the paintings on the wall, pretty cool and interesting. The staff and music are great. The food I would say not as good as I expected. It’s good, just not that good. The salt and pepper chicken bombs are nice. The burger has lots of sauce included, which is nice. But the meat are not juicy, doesn’t looks like fresh cooking but reheated. Overall, it’s nice place to have a quick bite but don’t expect too much.

Go here. The Meat Shack serves good tasting burgers, nice fries and tasty beer. The two of us went here for a mid week meal and enjoyed the food and the beer. The buns were soft but didn’t instantly fall apart when touching the beef. The meat was tasty and cooked to my liking. The serving staff were friendly and nice. The fries were a little expensive but you can’t have burger without fries so hey ho. The venue had a cool vibe with good graffiti on the walls and good music. The atmosphere rating took a hit on here because of a large group with 4 or 5 kids getting bored and racing around.

Wow I was blown away by the Meat Shack! I am a big chicken fan and this place really exceeded expectations. I found it on Google maps, looked like my kind of thing, was quite a trek mind, totally worth it though. Don't know where to start, the small chicken plates, the messy fries, fries were all incredible. Sauces were wild, dressing was perfect, everything was so well presented, everything was red hot, everything tasted amazing. Service was fast and friendly, place is clean and buzzing. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back.

Great food, good experience but not quite perfect. Went to The Meat Shack and ordered a feast, which was more than two people could eat. The burgers are excellent, thick beef patties and quality ingredients make an absolute feast of a meal. However the trays the burgers arrive in are a bit fiddly and make the eating experience messier than it needs to be. The dirty fries are nice, but next time, I'd order plain fries to contrast better with the burger. Good value and would recommend. 4 stars

Fantastic place to have a burger, probably one of the best burgers in brum. Juicy and well seasoned with many different varieties. Quick and nice service!

Great menu, great atmosphere, great staff, great vibe. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a relaxed atmosphere here but customer service is excellent as is the food. The menu is interesting and what I chose was of excellent quality as was the choice of my colleague. I'd happily eat here again.

Indian restaurant
Dishoom Birmingham is located in a picturesque spot with outdoor tables facing the Town Hall, Chamberlain Memorial fountain, and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The restaurant offers delicious Indian fare from morning naans to evening 'Ruby Murrays'. It is part of a national chain that started in 2010 and has become an iconic name with locations across the UK.
Visited midday in the middle of the week. Quieter as expected, really good ambience and the tables were distant for privacy. It was really comfortable. Food was served hot, quickly and no fuss. Menu is easy to understand, the server made a great effort in explaining and recommending various items on the menu. Every dish was flavourful. Good portion sizes, with great vegetarian selections as well. Dishoom is consistent in its standard throughout all its restaurants in England, and never fails to impress on every visit.

My first time here and certainly wont be my last. From the moment we entered we couldn't fault the service, we were given a lovely table with plenty of room. Our server Joni could not have been more helpful explaining the menu and certain dishes what goes with what etc. she could not do enough to help. The food was amazing and so well cooked, fragrant and tasty. The dessert recommended by Joni was to die for absolutely gorgeous

Indian food at it's best in my opinion. Was given the Dishoom book for a gift and have made so many dishes, so we just had to try the restaurant. The staff were amazing, efficient and knowledgeable, recommending and helping us choose by describing everything. Food intolerances were easily catered for. Food was typically glorious. Atmosphere was vibrant, busy and great to see it so busy. Definitely recommended.

World renowned Dishoom is loved by all. Hence I was so pleasantly surprised when I realised they opened a branch in Birmingham and that too at an amazing location with the views of the Birmingham Council square. We booked a table of four for lunch on the auspicious day of Rakhi and meet up with my sister. At the entrance the place was heaving with a bit of queue. The two ladies who were Hosting had a pleasant surprise and I told them that I have a reservation and was promptly brought to a round table. I would have preferred a corner table or a sofa table as it was in the middle of the gangway. It was quite busy for the afternoon. I was asked if I wanted to order and I told the lovely waiter that i am waiting for my sister. Once we were settled we ordered our meals and drinks. My meal of Chole Bhature was amazing but my sisters could have been better. Drinks and food came on time. Toilets were clean and easy to find. One of the waiters who served us was outstanding with service, smiling and happy and ready to help even when it was so busy. Will visit again.

Five Stars for Ryan at Dishoom Birmingham! We had lunch at Dishoom Birmingham yesterday and were absolutely blown away by the service — especially from our server, Ryan. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after us with such warmth and attention. The food, as always, was outstanding — but it was Ryan’s thoughtful service and great energy that made our visit truly memorable. Thank you, Ryan, for making our lunch so lovely — we’ll definitely be asking for you next time we come! 💫

I went to Dishoom yesterday and we had a 50 minute wait time before we got our table since we were a walkin. Initially I thought it’s going to be really boring but from the moment we were seated there, it was a really captivating and nostalgic atmosphere being from Bombay myself. The concept behind the Irani Cafe has been brought to life and everyone working there has a certain type of enthusiasm that keep the place so lively. A special shoutout to Rohan for serving us yesterday evening and give us a spectacular evening to enjoy. It was truly evening to talk to him and we were elated to see the kind of service that was offered to us. Lastly, another special shoutout to all the chefs for serving the best food period. Definitely took me back to Bombay and now I know a place that will definitely give the taste of back home!

Went to Dishoom Birmingham for my birthday last week. The experience was great. The staff were so lovely. Shoutout to our waiter Szymon, he was really nice! Ordered 5 dishes to share which was the right amount of food for two of us. Had the chicken tikka, gunpowder potatoes, paneer curry, rice, and veggie samosas. I highly recommend the paneer curry, 10/10. Also lovely cocktails! The atmosphere was great for a Monday evening, always busy. But not too loud that you cannot hear yourself speaking. Staff were accommodating and they gave me a free desert with a candle for my birthday. This was a great little touch which I really appreciated. Will be going back again and definitely recommend to anyone who loves Indian food.

Adam's Restaurant, named after its chef-patron Adam Stokes, is an upscale dining establishment offering acclaimed modern British tasting menus. Since opening in 2013, the restaurant has garnered numerous awards and accolades, including a coveted Michelin star. The chic and contemporary dining room provides a luxurious backdrop for a fine dining experience. With a focus on utilizing high-quality produce and precise cooking techniques, Adam's offers beautifully created British dishes with menu options that cater to various preferences.
We came to Adams for my birthday with my husband and four year old daughter. We last came here for our 2nd wedding anniversary many years ago. The food and service was just incredible! I am so so pleased that Adams is so family friendly. The staff made a fuss of our daughter and she absolutely loved her experience there. It can be hard to find fine dining places that are so welcoming to children. We will come again!

A true gem in the dining world! A place I have had the privilege of experiencing multiple times and each time improving on perfection! Talking on my last visit I must say this is a epicentre in not only the midlands but also the UK that all food and wine lovers must attend. We enjoyed the Chefs Table along with Wine pairings and it truly was an amazing experience. Every piece of food so thoughtfully made within eyesight and explained by the accompanying chef. Wonderfully enjoyed beyond words, needs to be eaten to believe. Each course served with a perfectly matched wine from the truly knowledgeable Sommelier with a knowledge base far reaching every question asked! The kitchen staff themselves being an amazing team working together in a fluid atmosphere with the real life day to day, and the amazing teamwork to create the most amazing food all under the eye of Chef Adam. A true great.

I’ve been meaning to write a review on this place for a while, and after reflecting on the experience and comparing it to similar-level restaurants, I can confidently say it’s one to skip. Of course, it depends on what you’re looking for, but we personally didn’t enjoy our visit. The service felt very intense, almost like the staff were looking down on us. I get that they have a certain etiquette, but true professionalism means adapting to each customer’s mood and experience – not making them feel uncomfortable. The food itself wasn’t bad, but for a Michelin-rated place, it didn’t blow us away. We went with a Groupon voucher gifted to us, and were surprised when the bill included a hefty service charge of the full price menu, instead of just charging on top of drinks. I understand that some fine-dining places automatically include service, and normally I’m happy to pay it – if the service matches. But what if it’s young students or guests who received it as a gift and weren’t expecting to be hit with an extra £40–£50? Definitely something worth considering. What bothered me most was that while filming parts of the experience (which is common in fine dining these days), the waiter told me not to film him as he presented the food. I wasn’t filming him directly – just capturing the overall experience. If you’re working in a high-end, presentation-focused restaurant, you should expect that some guests will be recording. If that’s an issue, maybe a different work environment would suit better. Overall, the food was decent but not unforgettable, and you can absolutely find better Michelin-level restaurants where the service is warm, respectful, and genuinely customer-focused. Sadly, this one didn’t live up to expectations.

Absolutely amazing. I am not at all surprised these guys have a Michelin star. The service was outstanding. It’s a pretty place. And the food is an A+. If you can afford it, you should try to make a trip here. I know you’ll have a good time.

Fantastic dining experience in the heart of Birmingham on the fly, PJ and his team were excellent hosts and very gracious for the experience. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Birmingham to sample the delightful menu and experience. Stand out dishes include the sweetbread with a beautiful lovage sauce and crunchy almond. The 50 year old port is a must for anyone, one for the bucket list and the Spanish sommelier is a lovely guy who clearly has a passion for his role and it shines through. A lot more to say however all positive and will be back again

We attended at lunchtime, booking for my partner’s 40th. We were greeted warmly, and the service was exemplar from start to finish. The cocktails were delicious, as were the mocktails. The starting snacks were next level, especially the Parmesan crisp with mushroom mousse! The tasting 7 menu really wowed, the quail with smoked cashew, the halibut, and the venison were real standout dishes, but the blackberry dessert was next level - the word for that dessert is “exquisite”! We felt honoured to be the first to try the new dessert too! An extra nod of gratuity for being so careful about my shellfish allergy too, it is so appreciated. Thank you for an incredible afternoon - we have left full up and not stopped revelling in the experience since getting home.

Day 2

Southwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southwest side side of town. Start the day off with Cadbury World, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Cannon Hill Park. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Cadbury World is a popular family attraction located in Birmingham's southern district of Bournville. It offers a self-guided exhibition tour showcasing the origins of chocolate and the history of Cadbury, the UK's favorite chocolatier. Visitors can explore interactive displays about chocolate-making and learn about Cadbury's legacy as the country's first established chocolate manufacturer. The tour includes attractions such as magical Cadabra rides, a 4D Chocolate Adventure zone, and free chocolate samples for all guests.
An amazing experience at Cadbury World with my family. It was way beyond my expectations, with the price paid, you get free chocolate bars, walked through the chocolate making tour, history of Cadbury, free freshly made chocolate with toppings, 4D cinema, hands-on chocolate tempering, interactive ride and outdoor playground, superb for kids in primary school. Two hours nicely spent and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend and would return again in future! It was a pleasant experience. The price might seem a bit pricey but at the end you will think it is worthwhile for the experience offered.

Lovely experience. It was a wonderful time, spent around 2 hrs. The best part was the 4D movie which was just wow. And then the avenue was the good experince. If could show more about how chocolates are made nowadays then it would be more interesting. I have seen cadbury making process in a different country and that was more into the process making, so thats what a gap was I feel... rest everything was an amazing experience. It was my best birthday present.

Its not a very big place, but informative and there were things to do. We also got a taster cup of chocolate, it was nice. Saw a demo about how the chocolate was made. Unfortunately when we went the rides were not working and my child was so disappointed! The ticket was not cheap, so all the rides should work properly!

Would be better if you had kids. Overall nice experience if you’ve never been, lots of history and memorabilia but other than that just cinema screens showing animations that you have to que for every section. ‘Free’ chocolates are less than they use to be which used to be the best part. Lots of opportunities to upsell photos, rides, drinks, food, gifts.
Sasha W — Google review
It was heart warming to know the history of Mr. Cadbury, his struggles and triumph. Their design and way of story telling is awesome. Kids will enjoy the rides and play area. There is some for adults too. Don't forget to buy chocolates at a discounted price at their shop.

I visited Cadbury world in Birmingham on a weekday as I predicted this to be a little quieter than a weekend which it was. I managed to get a few snaps of the factory as you take a trip an a good history lesson of the beginnings all the way to present day. I like the tour and I think it’s pretty cool, especially seeing the chocolate makers on the ground floor making the chocolate fresh and shaping these for souvenirs to buy or for special events coming up. The gift shop is also pretty cool and worth a visit, having some cool novelties you can buy and take home with you. HOWEVER, for being a chocolate tour, the ride was not working when I was there, which was disappointing. Also, you only get 2 free bars of chocolate included in your tour visit, which is a little ridiculous considering that you pay a decent price to go.
Did T — Google review
A place that offers information, fun filled activities and entertainment. Booking tickets in advance is must. It will save you a trip and money. Arrive by about your time of entry, they let people queue and enter in batches. The tour begins with a historic display of cocoa production and evolution of chocolate while it travelled across the world. Then the first chocolate shop and birth of Cadbury, some stories of the family and how they ventured into this business. Followed by the making of chocolate, staffs demonstrating the process and later you get to do it by yourself. Inside they also sell some crazy structures of chocolate. Then you get entertained by 4D movie, dwelling into the world of characters Cadbury has introduced. Followed by a nice exhibit narrating the story of Bournville village and a fun filled ride where you collect the ingredients (virtually) to make your own chocolate. If you may have forgotten to collect something, don't worry you can buy them from their store that has EVERYTHING CHOCOLATE!!! A one of its kind place to engage all age groups. You get some free chocolates on entry and can buy more at exit. There is a cafe inside this building. Parking available. Cloak room is only for large luggage bags. Enough numbers of toilets available in intervals throughout the tour.

Very nice place we were there with the kids over 2 hours! We were excited to see animals we had never seen before and the children went crazy with joy! The price is absolutely adequate, I would even say that it is cheap because for two children and two adults 35£ and seriously worth it. children of all ages will have plenty of fun here. In addition, there are also toilets and a restaurant in this reserve. There is also a souvenir shop. Love it , love it!

Lovely place to visit, especially if you have children or are an animal lover! They have a great range of animals which have lovely, clean enclosures, they look well looked after, and it’s a great atmosphere. We stopped at the little cafe to grab an ice cream, there’s a small indoor soft play area but you need to make sure your children have socks if you want to use it. There’s a lovely outdoor park with a large climbing frame, a large rope seesaw swing and walkways for children. £11 for an adult during peak times, under 3’s are free. Was a really nice afternoon out and my son loved it! Absolutely recommend!

Animal welfare was brilliant and the tickets felt worth the money. We managed to spend 4 hours here and the red panda and komodo dragon were definitely the highlights. I think it can be a great trip if you manage your expectations. Unfortunately, unlike other wildlife parks & zoos, staff were not particularly friendly (except for the staff in the cafe who were lovely!). At the entrance, staff seemed to purposefully ignore us before finally standing up to see to us and we were not met with any smiles or well wishes. When we had to revisit later for plasters from their first aid box, they were completely uninterested again and didn't ask a single question about why my friend's hand was bleeding. Lynx feeding was at 12:30 and we waited at the enclosure opposite the staff hut (and where Nala the lynx was) for around 20 mins. Staff saw us waiting but left us waiting at the wrong side - he walked right past us without a word and fed her on the complete other side of the enclosure so we ended up missing it. I can't understand why he wouldn't just say something - even if just aloud in general or to the lynx, we would have followed but he said nothing! We also saw what appeared to be cockroaches crawling across the viewing area of the komodo dragon and a dead one on the floor of the reptile house (neither in a tank or enclosure but on the floor of where visitors were walking). Hopefully just large beetles (?) but they did look like cockroaches! Map is also pretty outdated and a bit confusing. Despite this, I would come back again as it was amazing to see the animals and they seemed really happy.

They don’t have a huge variety of species, and the zoo itself isn’t very big — but it’s well-organized, and you can tell they truly care for the animals. My favorites are the otters and the parrots. I’m pretty sure the parrots are a couple because they’re absolutely inseparable — always cuddling and kissing each other. The otters are just adorable! They actually respond when you call them and sometimes even perform little tricks if they like you. There’s also a massive Komodo dragon — gosh, that beast is terrifying! Another fun spot is the stone bed for fossil hunting. If you look closely, you might actually find a real fossil. And finally, the amazing turtle — last time I visited, it had three tiny babies. Absolutely beautiful. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

Really enjoyed our visit, although we've been to nearby Cannon Hill park hundreds of times, we had never been to the Conservation park, little did we know how near it was to the park either. Paid on entry and tickets are very reasonable. You can easily spend 3/4 hours here. Onsite cafe, plenty of toilets. We went round the park twice and second time saw different animals. Great day overall

Such a fun afternoon out here! They had so many animals and we loved that they were being well looked after too. Alot of animals come here after being injured and need rehabilitation. It's not like your normal zoo, there's so much for kids and adults to do here. It was such a fun afternoon out and didn't cost too much.

Lovely place to visit. Paid on entry and ticket prices are reasonable. It took us just under two hours to see every bit of the park. A variety of animals to see and their enclosures are quite spacious and seem well equipped. Even though it rained intermittently during our visit which was off putting (wrong choice of day to visit I guess) but a good day overall. Absolutely recommend.

Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham is a top destination, offering a wide range of activities on its 250 acres. Visitors can enjoy tennis courts, a bowling green, boating on the lake, mini-golf, and scenic walking trails. The park also features the MAC arts center and expansive open spaces. Families will appreciate the playgrounds and model homage to the Elan Valley in Wales. The vibrant flower beds add to the park's allure as well.
Cannon Hill Park is a perfect blend of nature, culture, and recreation. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, exercise, or entertainment, this park delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors to Birmingham. The park is beautifully maintained, with expansive lawns, woodlands, and ornamental gardens. The vibrant flower beds and tranquil lakes provide a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is especially picturesque during spring and summer, offering numerous photo opportunities.

A Perfect Sunny Day at Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham My wife and I recently spent a sunny afternoon at Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the park's stunning natural beauty – wide open green spaces, beautiful flowerbeds, and the gentle sound of birds singing and water trickling through the stream. It’s the perfect escape from the noise of the city. We took a long, relaxing walk through the park, and every step was a joy. The fresh air, peaceful atmosphere, and scenic views made it feel like a small piece of countryside right in the heart of Birmingham. Along the way, we passed several charming coffee shops and an ice cream van, which added a lovely touch to our visit – ideal for taking a short break and enjoying a treat. One of the highlights is the presence of the historic MAC (Midlands Arts Centre), located within the park. It offers exhibitions, performances, and a café with outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying a drink while soaking in the view. There are also picturesque bridges, boating lake areas, and even a small funfair for families. Whether you’re going for a walk, having a picnic, or just sitting on a bench to relax, Cannon Hill Park offers something for everyone. We truly enjoyed every single minute and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Birmingham – it’s a hidden gem that captures both the beauty of nature and the charm of the city's history. Cannon zHill Park is one of the biggest parks situated in Moseley, not far from the cricket ground. It has all the usual park features, a lake with ducks, tree lined paths, boating area, floral areas, a picnic playground, toilets and an access to the MAC, an arts centre. We enjoyed a contemplative walk through the park after learning of a bereavement. The park appears dog friendly and it has many lawns for picnics.

Soi 1268 by Buddha Belly is a popular Thai street food restaurant located in Stirchley. The team behind Soi 1268 were known for their pop-up events before establishing their own permanent location. The restaurant offers flavorful and authentic Thai dishes, with a bustling atmosphere that reflects the up-and-coming dining scene in the area. We went last night, picking up our daughter from uni. What fantastic food! A real taste delight. We had the Thai chicken, very tasty, not too spicy and barbecue chicken with a very spicy dip,an aubergine salad dish which was amazing,so tasty and spicy, a mushroom dish but didn't know it was mushroom! It was the lightest batter and delicious sauce and looked so beautiful! Followed by Thai ice cream which is sort of chewy but good! The place is bustling, nicely decorated, warm and inviting,I liked their serving dishes, everything worked together.....no table cloth stuffiness here! Service was efficient and friendly with plenty of staff. Loved it,will return on our next visit to Birmingham. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants we've ever been to!

This place was nothing short of exceptional. The food was amazing. We had a selection of plates and shared the food so we could try a few things. The prawn toast was the best I’ve ever seen and tasted. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The flavours were delicate and perfectly balanced. Everything we had was amazing. Even simple foods like noodles were done with a twist and you can tell all the flavours had been carefully considered. The whole place is very well thought out. There is a coat stand which I loved because I hate sitting with a big coat on the back of my chair. We didn’t come with kids but there were pencils and small toys available if you went with children. The bathroom had a few essentials for if you were caught short which I also thought was a nice touch. The waitress was very friendly and explained the menu perfectly, she encouraged us to try a few things on the menu and boy am I glad I did. We spoke to the owner and she was lovely and very humble. She was wondering around cleaning tables and chatting to customers. Fantastic place to eat, great service and a friendly environment 5*

First time here and was generally surprised with how well organised and friendly the staff are. We showed up on a random Saturday and although the place was full, the staff were kind enough to provide seating without a reservation. Food was delicious, real authentic Thai and not just some cheap imitation you get these days. Overall would recommend and will most likely come back to try the rest of the menu.

If you miss Thai food, I recommend this restaurant. The taste is authentic Thai, especially the Pa Nang. Everything is very delicious and authentically Thai.

Really good food. Came on a whim. Fully accept the ‘no starters, no pad Thai’ idea. The food was absolutely superb ! If I’m in the area I’ll come again
Stuart G — Google review
Tasty food but a little on the pricey side, especially the drinks. Eorth it though all in all, portions were generous. The tastiest dish was the BBQ aubergine. Other feedback is why serve the tiniest piece of lime? And why use paper pots for the sauce? Bit weird you have to pay before you eat, sort of discourages you to order more, drinks, dessert etc. Will come back though to try other dishes that look good. Nice buzzy atmosphere and good attentive service. Thank you 🙂‍↕️

Really good food. Customer service is good too. Only issue is the heating or lack of it. The restaurant was cold and we had to keep our jackets on. I don't know if this was because it was 5pm so they'd just opened for custom. Hopefully, this gets resolved because the food was really good.

The team at Buddha Belly have crated an amazing space here in Strichley. The food, service and ambience are second to none. We came with three kids and they had games and drawing along with a really tasty and great value menu for them. We tried 7 of the dishes and they were all absolutely fantastic. No hesitation in recommending this to anyone!

Restaurant
Chakana is a laid-back restaurant in Birmingham, offering Latin American classics with vegan options. Housed in a former bank, the venue features Inca Cross-inspired interiors and is known for its affordability. Chef Robert Ortiz brings his Michelin-starred experience to this spot, serving Peruvian delicacies like ceviche and lomo saltado. The restaurant also boasts one of the UK's largest collections of pisco to accompany its tasting menus.
Delicious food, presented beautifully. Unique menu. Cocktails were great, very tasty and inventive, lots of choice of bespoke cocktails. Tried ceviche and wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t expecting large chunks of fish. Quite pricy but a unique dining experience. The Sunday dinner was a strange choice but was still tasty.

Lovely experience and food. Will visit again. Don't be intimidated by the plate presentation, the servers are friendly and not stuck up. You can definitely feel satisfied after an appetizer and main. I feel like the meat could've been seasoned a bit more but that's my only criticism (it's quite bland without any sauces).

We had an absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch here yesterday. The service from Erika was charming, informative and attentive. The restaurant is very well designed. We had delicious cocktails to start and then two courses of truly delicious food. Highly recommended, I would most certainly go back.

Excellent dinner here last night. The food is bright, has amazing flavours and is delicious. The snacks have stunning presentation and the taste matches it! Starters and mains were equally visually appealing and full of flavour and texture. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, personable and efficient - in other words, excellent. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back.

We went for the tasting menu as it was a special occasion. Food was full of interesting flavours, utterly delicious, and beautifully presented. I had made a mistake on the booking and it could all have gone horribly wrong but the staff sorted it brilliantly with kindness and grace. Compliments and thanks to all the staff - was a wonderful experience and well worth the long journey to get there.

I don’t say this lightly: I had the best meal of my life at Chakana! ✨ This Peruvian gem in the heart of Moseley completely blew me away. I ordered the hake, and it was nothing short of extraordinary – perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with bold, vibrant flavours that somehow managed to be both refined and deeply comforting. Every bite felt like a masterclass in balance and freshness. To drink, I had a watermelon-based cocktail that was just as impressive. It was light, refreshing, and beautifully paired with the food – the kind of drink that makes you stop mid-sip just to appreciate how clever it is. The service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and refined. Chakana doesn’t just serve food – it gives you an experience. If you’re even remotely curious about Peruvian cuisine, this place is a must. 🫶🏽

Fantastic restaurant where I always love to come back for a special meal. Me and my husband were celebrating a wedding anniversary so we came for dinner on a Thursday evening. The service was great and attentive and food came relatively quickly. We ordered a pisco and a cocktail and they were both superb. Then we had a delicious complimentary bread with a dip and starters - seabream ceviche, tuna nikkei and salmon ceviche. All of them were excellent but I would say the salmon was the best (my husband said that for him it was the classic seabream). We then had suckling pig and hot red mullet ceviche. Again, both were superb, very interesting and creative flavour combinations and beautiful plating. For dessert we had picarones (doughnuts with ice cream) and they were a perfect sweet ending of a special meal. We even got complimentary anniversary plate with ice cream! :)

We had the pleasure of dining at Chakana and trying their tasting menus my wife had the full menu, while I had a pescatarian version. Both were absolutely incredible! The creativity and flavour in every dish blew us away. My personal highlights were the Hot Crab Causa (so rich and full of depth), the Red Mullet in Hot Ceviche (the fish was soft, sweet, and the sauce was just 🤯), the Purple Corn Sandwichito (my first ever squid “burger” and amazing!), and the Hake Amazonia with yuca stew, kiwicha grain, chocolate, and seaweed so unique and beautifully balanced. My wife loved the Roasted Suckling Pig Pekinés, which she highly recommends, as well as the Hot Crab Causa and the Warm Beef Tiradito. To finish, the Cherimoya Mousse with dulce de leche and miso paired with freshly made mini doughnuts was the perfect ending light, playful, and full of flavour. The presentation of every plate was stunning, and the service was spot on our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience feel very special. Chakana might be Michelin-recommended, but honestly, it deserves every bit of praise the food, flavours, and creativity are on another level. Highly recommended!

Modern British restaurant
Carters of Moseley is a modern restaurant located in the leafy suburb of Moseley, Birmingham. Since its opening in 2010, it has gained recognition for its innovative approach to British cuisine. The restaurant's focus is on using seasonal British ingredients sourced from local producers to create contemporary dishes in an open kitchen setting.
While visiting Birmingham, my oldest daughter suggested Chef Brad Carter’s tasting menu. My younger daughter was also visiting her sister and her boyfriend. Chef Brad and Holly (his partner) and their team welcomed us warmly. Dinner was served at Eighteen with a great terrace and view of the downtown Birmingham. We started with cocktails before heading into dinner. Dinner was served in an open dining room with floor to ceiling windows with city views. Each meal was announced and described before enjoying. One of my favorites was the grass fed beef that melted in your mouth, all the dishes were artfully presented. It was a wonderful experience and end to my trip. I would recommend checking out the tasting experience💕👨‍🍳

Absolutely phenomenal experience, booked the chef's table for our anniversary and it couldn't have been any better, staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond. All staff members made sure we was comfortable and the food is an experience on its own. You have to try it yourself to fully appreciate it. The chef's were all lovely and kept checking in on us and it was so fascinating to watch a kitchen work so well and as a unison. Would absolutely return again.

Wow! I am so in loved with every dish. I could feel how much time the chef has invest in creating each dish. The food were presented beautifully and the plates were all so unique. I can’t say which dish is the best. The ingredients used were all sustainable. The service was impeccable and the food were divine. I would be coming back when I get an opportunity. A place to celebrate your special occasions. Highly recommended.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant in the quiet side of Mossley. Ample parking outside. We were greeted warmly at the door and shown to our table. The restaurant seems a bit dark at first. It is coloured in black throughout. But as the restaurant filled up and the hustle and bustle got going, it seemed to light up with all the energy. The staff work terribly hard in making you relaxed and comfortable. Explaining everything about the food, the drinks, and the restaurant itself. We opted for the 9 course taster menu. Vegetarian for me and normal for my other half. Each serving came with a wine pairing from a good selection of reds, whites and Rose's. There was even a cheeky plumb sake for the desert. The food was simply amazing. The chefs served us and told us where the ingredients from and how they were prepared and by who. The passion you can certainly taste in this food. Aside from the booze, the coffee, and the chocolate, all ingredients come from the British Isles. We loved the very decorative and original plates and cutlery. They have a blacksmith make their knives especially. The restaurant is an open floor, so you can see the chefs preparing your food without having to book the chefs table. Although it is the best seat in the house. Michelin star well deserved. We really look forward to our next visit to see what the next seasons menu tastes like.

If I could give it 6 stars I would, 5 doesn't do it justice. The most exceptional food experience I've ever had in my life without a doubt. The attention to detail was to second to none. The service was fantastic, welcoming and not pretentious at all. Every single dish was impactful and memorable but the monkfish dish might be the best thing I've ever eaten. The wine pairing was a brilliant addition, full of interesting and delicious wines pairing seamlessly with the food. Overall Carter's was an unforgettable experience, the flavours will live long in the memory and I can't wait to visit again. I've visited other 1* Michelin star restaurants and Carter's is in a league of its own, definitely worthy of 2*.

Absolutely amazing experience at the chefs table last night. The service was outstanding: staff were so friendly and welcoming and attentive. The food was incredible and the eduction around the meal we had from head chef was really great. The drinks we had were also so good, we really appreciated how everything had a UK/Birmingham twist. Outstanding.
Oliver S — Google review
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Been to a quite few Michelin star restaurants, but Carter's was completely unique. So welcoming and completely un-pretentious, which isn't always a given. The food was perfect and the drinks pairing was amazing. Much more varied than expected, some styles I'd never even heard of. Can't recommend enough! Loved every second of it.

Summary: Amazing Food was delicious and the service was top notch. We stayed for 5.5 hours and everything served from the gin and tonic starter to the last drop of coffee and spirits was just awesome. This was a great experience and I would not hesitate a second to visit again. Brad showed us the kitchen as a bonus and you can really see his passion for what he's doing.

Fish and chips takeaway
The takeaway Dads Lane Fish Bar and Restaurant serves up fresh, delicious fish and chips, with a perfect batter and perfectly cooked fish. The queue can be quite long on Friday evenings, but the fish taste really great so it's well worth it!
Had a really nice meal here last night. The haddock was fresh and flakey. The chips were perfect and the accompanying curry sauce was tasty too. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly. The toilets were clean. One of the best places for fish and chips in Birmingham and it's nice to be able to sit down and eat inside.
Andrew C — Google review
Great chips but the fish was just not that nice, batter was brittle and seemed to retain the oil from frying instead of being light and crispy. Upstairs has a great view at the back and service was good. Small choice of canned drinks.

Freshly fried Fish and Chips to order, with a lovely side salad. The cod was lovely and flakey, with a light crispy batter and not greasy. Once you’ve eaten here, guaranteed you will be return! The staff always friendly and provide a lovely service.
Gurbax S — Google review
The best fish and chips in Birmingham! It's our favorite place for my wife and our 18 months old son. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. A friend of my son always gives him a chocolate bar when we visit. Since we moved to Birmingham in 2017 this has been our all-time favorite spot for fish and chips. ❤️🇬🇧🇵🇭

We had our lunch here today for the first time and it was superb we both had fish and chips and it was exceptional. The service was brilliant and all told fantastic experience we will be back, thanks to the people and food at dads fish and chips. Can't recommend highly enough.

The Best Fish & Chips I’ve Ever Had in Brum! Me and a few friends decided to try this place which was recommended. So lets start with the cod which was crispy, golden batter that isn’t greasy, perfectly cooked fish that flakes apart, and chips that are hot, chunky, and full of flavor — absolutely faultless! Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and even the little details (like proper salt and vinegar, and a wedge of lemon) made it stand out. The staff were friendly. It’s rare to find fish and chips done this well in Brum. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended, it was well worth travelling across town for.

Double fried fish!! Inedible and gross!! Massively disappointed when it is £8.60 and 8.80 for fish.
Scott C — Google review
Went at 12.45pm today and there was plenty of seating space. Service was happy and the food was prepared fresh whilst the wait wasn't long. Well presented meals. The batter was crispy and the fish was nice and flaky. We ordered hake, haddock, cod, fish cake and scampi; all fresh and cooked on the spot. To be honest, it was a nice place to eat and had a pleasant and tranquil atmosphere. Would highly recommend the restaurant. There was plenty of flavour and generous amounts of sauces. We didn't have to ask for more. The curry sauce was spot on! The mushy peas weren't dry like other places and the chips looked home cut and cooked. Was a good place to take a lunch break, from work.
