Flight Club Birmingham, located at 13 Temple St, Birmingham B2 5BN, is a social darts club with unique timings from Monday to Sunday. The club offers a range of mini sandwiches, chicken wings, and bruschetta along with must-try drinks like Salted Caramel Espresso Martini and Raspberry Rose. It's conveniently accessible via stations at Carrs Lane and Birmingham New Street.
Fantastic day here ! Such a great atmosphere and fun place. Staff were great too. Drinks are expensive but worth it for the good time you will have here.

Our team lunch at Flight Club in Birmingham was an excellent experience. It was my first visit, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived just before they opened at noon, waited for about 3 minutes for them to open. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming and the staff helped us to our table. The venue offered a fun darts game, which added a unique touch to the experience. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. I opted for the Beyond Burger, curly fries, and salad, followed by some delicious brownies. The menu also featured a variety of burger options, while some of my colleagues enjoyed pizzas and wraps. The curly fries and brownies were personal highlights for me😊. Additionally, I tried a non-alcoholic cocktail, Spring Passion, I particularly think that was refreshing and well-prepared. The venue itself is beautifully decorated and had a warm and inviting ambiance. Overall, Flight Club is a fantastic choice for team-building activities or group lunches. I highly recommend it!
Tomide O — Google review
My partner booked for my birthday. We arrived slightly early and were offered to start early. The staff were really friendly and happy to help at all times. The food and drinks come quickly and at a high standard, the pizza was lovely and not greasy at all. The nachos were tasty and good portion. The darts games were fun and the whole idea is rather awesome, lots of fun for all. Staff came and gave us an extra 15 mins at the end of our session which was ace. Good value for money on the game and food, drinks seemed a little pricey but they aren’t any more expensive than other Birmingham bars etc. good experience all round.

Met some friends on a night out not knowing what to expect. What a great place. We played darts and they helped coordinate the tournament. The bar staff was extra attentive to needs. Offered great recommendations. we had a fantastic night out. Make sure you book in advance as this is a very popular venue.
Andrew Q — Google review
We have visited here a few times in the last few years and I’ve visited with a variety of groups - work party’s with 25+ people, friends of up to 6 and just myself and my partner and they comfortably cater for it all. The food is perfect for what you want, picky items that are delicious - particularly always go for the nachos. Absolutely love that they do discounts for people in the hospitality industry on Sundays and Mondays - perfect for us. We love it here and we try and make it part of a day out when we have visitors. I wonder if you may introduce some new games in the near future - would be great to see something different
Lauren R — Google review
We came here for a works team day social. Not done it and initial thought was ‘darts are boring’. However, it was a lot of fun and a lot of different games to play. Whilst darts in the core of it, it really was great fun playing with and against various people. The laughter didn’t really stop and was a nice Team event. We order plenty of drinks and they came fast with great service. We didn’t have any good but other seemed to have a buffet for their events.
Si C — Google review
This was a last minute booking for 6 people and I have to say what a great choice it was. The drinks are average prices and some fantastic cocktails, the staff we had the pleasure of meeting where great and went out of there way to help. The darts was a great fun addition to the evening and was such good fun I recommend playing in couple wow does it get competitive. Great night out and a great place to visit in Birmingham

Pub
Bacchus Bar is a hidden gem located on one of the oldest streets in Birmingham, tucked away beneath the bustling New Street in Burlington Arcade. This underground pub boasts a unique and quirky interior with Greek-inspired decor, including busts, pottery, and paintings. Dating back to 1398, it offers a historic and atmospheric setting for visitors to enjoy cask ales and a crowd-pleasing menu.
Been here before years ago on a friday night when it was lively and heaving. This time I visited during a quiet daytime. It's a striking place to be in terms of decor. They serve some fantastic beers on tap, and are also good for a coffee. They made my wife a lovely cappuccino. The service was superb and friendly. I know the place must be good when my wife talks about going back there again. It's a shame we had elsewhere to be, as we could've happily spent a couple of hours here.

Had a great Sunday evening dinner here. Really unique decor and cozy atmosphere, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was nice and the menu had plenty of good options. We booked using FirstTable for 50% off food, so we got very reasonable prices as well. We didn't get any drinks, but there was a wide variety at the bar. Overall, highly recommended!
Archie — Google review
An oasis hidden below the mayhem above. We visited on a quiet weekday night and stayed until closing. Super selection of beers and good service. Decor is imaginative but in a Michelangleo Greek renaissance theme. That’s my best interpretation but would recommend trying the bar. Sadly I will not get to experience the bustle of a weekend it was a good night.
Andrew B — Google review
Bacchus Bar is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves great food and refreshing beer. The menu offers a wide range of tasty dishes — everything is cooked perfectly and pairs wonderfully with their excellent selection of beers. The craft beers are always served cold and fresh, with plenty of choices to match different tastes. The bar food is flavorful and satisfying, from juicy bites to hearty mains. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and have a few drinks with friends. Highly recommended for both food and beer lovers!
Michael K — Google review
Great atmosphere, The historical atmosphere is quite successful. Saturday evenings can be crowded and stuffy, also finding a table can be relatively difficult. On the other hands a very authentic place for other days
Irem G — Google review
A Hidden Gem Opposite New Street Station Bacchus Bar was our first stop upon arriving in Birmingham, and it was the perfect start to a great evening. We came across the pub when walking out of New Street Station, located opposite the station, we almost walked past when heading to the typical red brick pubs - I’m glad we didn’t. When entering, you go down a spiral staircase and you’re welcomed into an atmospheric space adorned with striking floor-to-ceiling artwork, sculptures, and eclectic décor that gives the bar a distinctive character. We stayed for a few drinks, including the Bacchus IPA and Nicholson’s Pale Ale. Both were enjoyable, but the Bacchus IPA stood out—highly recommended if you’re into craft-style brews. Although we couldn’t get a table for food as a walk-ins at around 7pm due to upcoming reservations (understandable for a busy evening), the menu looked solid, with options like pies and burgers. Overall, a fantastic experience. Friendly staff, a memorable setting, and an atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Bacchus Bar has definitely earned a spot on our “must return” list.

I always visit this bar when I'm in Birmingham,it's really beautiful inside, tucked away underground by the Burlington hotel. Nice friendly staff, drink price's are high, but it is a big city.I'll order some food next time,as they looked like they had a lot of nice things on the menu.
Lee W — Google review
I haven't been in here in 20 years and to be honest wasn't looking forward to it because I'm not really a sociable person but have to say that even though it was busy for a Saturday night, I was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious with generous portions and prices reasonable. ALL the staff I spoke to were attentive, friendly and helpful. Even though they were rushed off their feet they had time to have a little chat and a laugh with my husband and I. Would I come back? Absolutely. 🥰

We had a lovely family time this afternoon, thank you for the lovely delicious meals, drinks and cozy atmosphere 💕 Really enjoyed our time. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work and best of luck for the future. We are going to miss you 🌹🌹🫶🏼🫶🏼

This is a firm favourite of ours. You know what you’re getting and it’s very consistent. The menu is easy to navigate with something for everyone and the cocktails are ace, especially at happy hour. Personally, I’d like more spice and stronger seasoning for my palate, but regardless, I enjoy my meal every time. The staff a lovely and attentive and we’ve never felt ignored or rushed.
Stace S — Google review
Quite disappointing unfortunately. Sat down with my partner and they took 40 minutes to serve us. I would have no problem with this if they were busy but the staff were standing and talking to each other not serving anyone. When we were finally served we were given watered down drinks that cost 10 pounds each. It took more time after that before our food orders were taken. We gave our food order and then 15 minutes later they came back saying it wasn't available. Yes, it took 15 minutes for them to check if they had what we ordered as they stood around talking. When we gave them an updated order with what they actually had in stock the food they gave us was not at all worth the price they charged. Feathers in the chicken and the rice was undercooked. (see photos). 2 watery drinks, one small plate and one regular plate cost 50 pounds. Save yourself time and money.

Mixed feelings here. My husband and I came here for a lunch date on a Saturday. While we both enjoyed ourselves there were some hiccups that I felt could have gone better. All of the staff we interacted with were very nice however it was obvious they were massively understaffed for how busy it was at the time so the attentiveness wasn't there. When I ordered my meal and a tapas I specified I wanted the vegan version each time but it felt like I wasn't understood and I unfortunately turned out to be right when they took back my Elotes to check with the chef and then made me a new vegan one. Again the staff was nice and corrected it immediately. I had the horchata mocktail and while the flavour was quite good it felt ten times way too sweet. After sipping away at some I added water to it and it made it more suitable for my palette. The spicy rice was gorgeous and actually had some heat to it, which as a Mexican American here in England , I was surprised. The Ancho Mushroom Enchilada was just ok for me. It felt like they had overloaded it with salt and no other prominent flavour. Lastly the vegan Elotes were delicious. The cheese, mayo, and spice were lovely and the Elote was soo juicy!

Had lunch here in the run-in to Christmas, and overall it wasn't great. We were seated at a table with standard menus only, and noticed that was being done with other diners too. Fortunately we were aware there's a lunch deal menu and my wife went to get that instead. From the lunch deals, we ordered ourselves burritos, then ordered a Taco meal as a kind of side to share. Very glad I didn't order that as my main meal as it was tiny. I opted for the Pork pibil because I'm not sure if they keep the meats of the haallal menu and the normal menus separate, and I didn't want to mistakenly eat haallal meat. The food was ok, I expected a lot more flavour, but overall not bad or anything. The mocktails were quite nice, the virgin colada was lovely to be fair. My wife suggested we head to the nearby Christmas market for churros for dessert, but I insisted we stay put. She ended up getting the dessert menu herself and we ordered the Churros to share. They came without ice cream, so we had to ask for that again, which we received an apology for and were then given strawberry instead of vanilla as that was all they had left. It did seem the one guy who looked like he was in charge was trying to keep it together, but generally it was a bit of a shambles from his crew. I did witness another diner receiving even worse service, but that's not really my story to tell.
Dal — Google review
Hard to sum this place up. Service was intially really good but lacked a bit as time went on. Two of the four dishes we ordered weren’t available, alternatives offered which was acceptable. When the food came, one of the four dishes was wrong one, so now we only have one of the originally ordered items. Pointed out the incorrect dish but didn’t get rectified until we had finished our other food. I’d give it another chance based on the tasty food, maybe at a less busy time.

Amazing Ambience I Just Loved The Vibes and The Interior Of The Place. ‘Chris’ Was Very Sweet and Served Us Amazing Cocktails For The Night. Food Was Excellent Nachos Were Too Crispy and Prawn Tacos Were Too Yum With Burst Of Flavours. Overall Experience Was Too Good.
Vini B — Google review
We were in a big group of 20 and they were able to accommodate us without issue, taking the downstairs area just for us which was really nice. The staff were also excellent and were very fast with service. Considering there were so many of us, it was great to see that they had prepared well. The food was mostly good, with some of the portion sizes being larger than I could handle. My picks were the cola wings, chicken mole burrito and the mango strawberry dessert. The cola wings and the mango dessert were my favourites of the night. The only slight downside to the experience was that there was a weird smell to the downstairs. You do adjust to it after a short while, but definitely something to be improved on. But overall a good experience.

The Lost & Found Birmingham is a charming bar and restaurant located in a grand Victorian building that was once the National Provisional Bank of England. Inspired by the adventures of fictional Victorian explorer Hettie G. Watson, this quirky establishment features high ceilings and an interior adorned with birdcages, butterflies, and flowers. The menu offers classic British food, sandwiches, and an array of cocktails presented on a unique taste map that categorizes drinks based on their characteristics.
Had a fantastic bottomless brunch with a friend who l hadn't seen for a long while here. It was the perfect setting and the drinks just kept coming! The food was delicious and the cocktails were refreshing. I will definitely be back for another visit, it was so worth every penny and I even brought a dessert after our bottomless brunch time was up !! Thank you so much guys 😄 ALSO: I don't know the waitresses name but she was witty and friendly and attentive, 10/10 staff.

Recently visited this pub, prior to a theatre show. Booking is definitely advised with this venue. It was very busy when we arrived and extremely hot inside. It was very noisy, with lots or party groups and hen party, too. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We were shown to a table and then asked to move to the one alongside, some 20 minutes later! Our food order arrived within 15 minutes. It was well cooked and presented, tasted delicious, too. Our server was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. The building itself was a bank, so the inside was beautiful, as you would expect from an old building. However, the leaves which hand around as decoration were very dusty and definitely due to be replaced/cleaned. Also, the downstairs corridors leading to the wash rooms require attention, along with the toilets themselves. On the whole, yes I would return, staff are wonderful, decoration/toilets in need of help.

A Great Experience at Lost and Found We had a really enjoyable time at Lost and Found. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated promptly (though it was a weekday), which was a great start. The interior is beautifully done—stylish and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We appreciated the online ordering system, which made things very convenient. The menu had a good range of options, and I went with the fish and chips—absolutely delicious! We also took advantage of the 2-for-1 offer on selected drinks, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

Staff were lovely and accommodating from start to finish. Very helpful and friendly, the place itself was really nice. Loved the decor, the facilities were lovely. Can’t really fault anything. The only thing I would say was the private bar wasn’t in use not sure if this was due to staffing as it was a Sunday but we had to go out the private room to the main bar for drinks and we had to order pretty much soon as we arrived as the kitchen closed at 8 and my booking was at 6. Apart from that our waitress Lolita? Was AMAZING!
Paris S — Google review
The venue is nicely decorated and styled and we were greeted on entry and taking to our table by a polite and friendly and attentive waitress. Unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. Myself and my partner had the beef roast, the beef had a slimy texture was seriously undercooked and very fatty. The potatoes were also undercooked. The broccoli was fit for the pin, way past its best and it was the same with my partner’s cauliflower cheese. My daughter who made the booking for Mother’s Day barely ate her fish as it was watery and very mushy. We got the attention of the waitress to complain about the food, she was apologetic and said she’d get the manager to speak to us, we waited about 45 mins and the manager never arrived so we got the attention of the waitress again and she went off to speak to the manager again. Eventually we had the meals discounted but not to the level that matched the waste of money and poorly prepared food. I would not recommend this place for food.

Met with a friend for a late lunch, catch up, natter. Perfect! We ordered 4 starters and shared as neither of us were over hungry. Food delicious! Surrounding just lovely! We then sat there chatting so long we realised the 2 for 1 cocktails had started! Not many to choose from but my! They were so good! I know we'll be back again!

We had the lunch set menu and the food was really good — well-prepared dishes and absolutely amazing desserts. The service was excellent: friendly and attentive, especially thanks to the lovely Jasmeen who made us feel very welcome. It’s a real pity about the lack of cleanliness, as the place has great potential and could be truly outstanding with a bit more care.

Food & service was first class, despite being very busy the waitress was very attentive. Giving that it was a Saturday afternoon you will find it quite boisterous and I found the music to be a touch loud (but I am old and grey!!) and we were having to chat with raised voices, still, it was lovely, I enjoyed the steak and the Mrs enjoyed her burger. Therefore if you don't mind really loud music on Saturday afternoon then this is the place for you - recommended.....👍👍

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Birmingham on Temple Street, The Botanist is a captivating gastropub that seamlessly blends a rustic charm with a botanical garden ambiance. Known for its iconic hanging kebabs, this delightful eatery has recently introduced festive dishes like orange and cranberry glazed turkey served with all the trimmings. Diners can also indulge in hearty options such as turkey pie topped with a giant pig in a blanket or share a gooey camembert stuffed sourdough loaf.
We came today for a Sunday Roast after a party night. AMAZING! Nice portions, good food quality. Gravy was handmade and the meat was perfectly cooked (I had pork and it was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside) Vinny has been so kind to us, checking if everything was alright and being so fast on any command needed :)

We LOVED our dinner at the Botanist and highly recommend it. First of all, the cauliflower is the best of our lives! The halloumi fries and gambas were also really good. The Peri Peri chicken was so good and dang those veggies were perfect too. We loved every drink esp the porn star martini and the lavender lemon Collins. The wait and bar staff were amazing. It was such a wonderful experience!

Stopped here for dinner and drinks after a day out in the city. The decor is unique and gives the place a lively atmosphere. Food was good, particularly the hanging kebabs which are fun and filling. Cocktails were creative and well presented. It does get noisy in the evening, but that is part of the vibe.

Came in at a very early and quiet time of day which probably didn't do it justice, as I can imagine it's probably a lot livelier as the day goes on. It was still ok in there, very nicely done up inside. I didn't have anything to eat so can't comment on the food, just had a cocktail and a beer which were both fine.

I've been to the other branch in Birmingham and loved it, so I thought I'd try this one as its alot more central location ( note gave the other branch 5/5) Foods 10/10 just like the other site, the only thing that lets this branch down is the staff. 1 out of the 3 staff who dealt with us was really good! The other two were just not very friendly.... It's worth going just for the food! But I would recommend just going to the other branch ( about 20 minutes away )

Great place with amazing atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food! Had a lonely dinner experience! The place is very cosy, has a great atmosphere with all the lovely decoration. It's quite big - there are tables outside, bar area, few dining rooms inside and lavatories on the lower ground floor. We were greeted at the door and asked if we had a booking, we didn't but still managed to get a table. It was Thursday night, so it wasn't that busy. The service was very friendly and fast. The food menu has interesting dishes, a variety of vegetarian options, and their famous kebabs. I definitely recommend the chicken one. It's served either with chips, couscous, or coconut rice. I went with chips, and they were so crispy. The kebab was also delicious. There is a variety of drinks as well, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. I really liked the alcohol-free Mind mojito. The deserts are out of this world! I had the most amazing Orea chocolate cookie dough! The prices are also reasonable. It was a great experience, and I definitely recommend this place!

The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre in Birmingham is housed in a stunning Victorian bank building, now transformed into a lively pub and theater. The interior boasts an impressive island bar under a glass-domed roof, with flamboyant decor including chandeliers, ornate plastered walls adorned with illuminated busts, and historic photographs lining the walls. The bustling pub offers a range of Fullers pie-and-ale options and efficient staff despite peak times.
Fantastic pub. Once you get past the grand aesthetic of both the exterior and interior, you get to a superb selection of beers and ales. I opted for a pint of Lavender Hill Pale Ale, followed by a half of Rebel IPA. I was only visiting for a quick drink before heading to my lunch reservation elsewhere, but I want to come back and try out all of the different offerings. I may have to do it in half-pints! Service is friendly and welcoming, if you get a seat by the large front windows in day time, there's a lovely view of the cathedral and it's grounds to take in.

I chose this place for a birthday dinner for my husband because it had good reviews and looked like a beautiful place. It is indeed beautiful, but the greatness stops there. The service was friendly, but not very helpful. We were not told when seated that we'd need to order and pay in advance at the bar, and we were told two different things about where we'd be seated and it was confusing. We were passed by many times with me trying to get someone's attention before we figured the process out. The pay in advance part makes it difficult if you want to add on a side or dessert during the meal. We ended up with 3 separate charges for our meal. The chicken, bacon and leek pie was fantastic, the rest were just ok, though they were cooked very well. They were kind enough to sub the mushroom pie for a chicken pie upon request. The cauliflower and cheese lacks flavor as a pie and a side dish. We both agreed the best thing on the platter was the red wine gravy. The brownie for dessert was delicious and made the birthday boy happy, so that saved the day.

Amazing wonderful old pub/picture house in Birmingham temple Street. The inside architecture is amazing and the wall murals, balcony and central Ceiling Dome really make this an outstanding pub. The central bar has a great selection of beers and ales, drinks, with a very appealing menu. A must visit.

Beautiful space; I went for the theatre which was a fantastic treat. Walk through the pub all the way to the back where the ladies' loos are and then up one flight of stairs for the gorgeous little theatre bar and another for the small but perfectly formed studio theatre. A fantastic production and really fun experience. Non-alcoholic drinks reasonably priced, alcoholic typical for a classy city centre place. Stayed for a drink in the main pub at the end as it was too stunning not to take it all in for a bit!

We came here to see a production of Be More Chill, and I wish we'd have stayed for longer because the pub area was beautiful and the food smelled great. The show was brilliant, the facilities well kept. The theatre is up two floors of steep stairs, but a small lift is available & well maintained. All staff, stewards and performers were not only polite and professional, but enthusiastic and great to chat with. I'll definitely be returning to The Old Joint Stock soon!

What a great pub with lots of atmosphere right next to the cathedral. Great interior decor. I dived in here during a heavy shower and was welcomed by friendly staff. Good selection of beer. I wasn't hungry but looked at the menus and was tempted.
Duncan H — Google review
If going for just a drink it would be 5 star. But we went for food. It was extremely over priced. I had the vegan onion bhaji burger as it was one of the only options. It was so dry, they obviously just microwave the patty and it had been zapped so much it was extremely hard on the outside and powdery on the inside. (You know when you put a pastry in the microwave for so long the crust goes rock hard) If they want to charge just under £18 for a burger it should be made fresh! My suggestion if going for food maybe just go for the pies or if not…. Go somewhere else. (Lots to choose from around colmore row) I would have said something if someone came over to ask how the food was. But no one did even when they came to get the plates they didn’t ask how the food was. I would have said something but it seemed pointless after I had eaten it all. Due to being so hungry. Overall, great please to go for a drink… from my experience I wouldn’t go there again for food. 2 glasses of wine and a main meal £63!!! Not worth it.

I hadn't been in this building since it was a NatWest bank over 30 years ago. It is a lovely building and was happy to see the owners have retained a lot of the original interior. Was served buy a very friendly young lady. Was also surprised to see they have a small theatre "in house" so will keep an eye on upcoming shows.

Was surprised at how small this little hidden gem was. We went to see Casey McQuillen on the last night of her tour. It was friendly, felt safe and was a really fun and cosy venue to see emerging artists perform. Drinks were priced well but standing up all night was tough on my back but didn’t spoil the night for me.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by an eclectic mix of decor, from beer mats adorning the walls to a diverse collection of vintage beer pumps. This establishment offers an array of hand-pulled real ales and ciders, including locally beloved Black Country ale and their own craft brews.
Excellent traditional pub with extensive range of ales, ciders and whiskeys. No food served here just pub snacks. Customers are allowed to take in their own food or order in takeout. Plates and cutlery supplied by the bar. Highly recommend a visit here.

A lovely city centre pub, at the top of Bennet's Hill, full of old world ambience and atmosphere. Lots of quality real ales, IPA's and Ciders. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Nice and clean and accessible. Can't comment on food as didn't eat here, but enjoyed a few hours with my daughter sipping and chatting. Will definitely visit again again!

We came to Birmingham for the weekend to see the Black Sabbath bridge and bench where they had tributes to Ozzy and Black Sabbath. Also the Birmingham museum to see the Ozzy exhibition. Afterwards we stopped in to The Wellington for a few drinks. A huge selection of beers and the service was great. We met some people there that were visiting for the same reason. We had a great time with them and really enjoyed our time at the pub. I would recommend a visit here while in Birmingham.

Even sell old style cobs.we had a great afternoon.

Beautiful traditional pub in Birmingham city centre stocked with a huge range of cask beers. Part of the Black Country Ales franchise, the excellent landlord, Nigel knows how to keep a beer, and has recently introduced a selection of cobs for customers who choose not to bring in their own food! A choice of bars and an outdoor seating area, plus lovely friendly staff make the Wellington a must for anyone visiting the city.

Snobs is a long-standing club known for its indie, rock 'n' roll, alt pop, and retro music. Despite being considered a bit dorky with cheesy music, it remains popular and full of eclectic characters. Recently renovated with a 2 million investment, the new club on Queensway offers an ongoing adventure for patrons. PST in Digbeth is renowned as Britain's top reggae club with three floors of reggae music and a warm, welcoming atmosphere promoting unity through music.
Our new favorite place is Tbilisi, what you accomplished is something truly special, the environment is cozy, not too big, not too small, the candles, the tables by the window, the music not too loud. Snobs is just a place where I could see myself going multiple times, either with friends to have a drink and catch up or with my partner to have a romantic evening while we try the cocktails and share some appetizers, even if you want to have a full dinner they have amazing pastas. I would highly suggest to try the cocktail Hyppolita, it was our favorite, the cocktails you see on the pictures are AI IA, Hyppolita, Green and Milk Kingdom.

We had a good time at the start, till my girlfriend had her phone stolen, security did minimal and came across more annoyed that they had to deal with the situation. We now don't feel safe there and will not be returning
Harry N — Google review
Do not recommend. Security and management are shit, only redeeming quality are the DJs. Their policies are obnoxious and ruined the night. They opened a gate in the smoking area and were letting people out to buy cigarettes, and when my group returned, we were told that we would have to buy new tickets— despite the stamps they put on each of our hands proving we're allowed in. To be clear, this isn't just an error on my part, there's literally several other people here right now who have also been denied entry after being misled, they seriously make it seem like we're allowed to just step out for a moment. And that's just one example of bad management I noticed, I don't care enough to type an essay for a place like this. Not only that, but the security doesn't do anything about people smoking indoors and being disruptive, and I've heard reports of stolen items. Overall a pretty good place but it's ruined by shitty management. Just save yourself some time and avoid it. EDIT: bumping up to 2 stars since they let us back in after much convincing. Still totally messed up the night though :/

My daughter was having a great night here until someone sexually assaulted her 29/08/25. A guy stepped in to help her and was beaten up and ended up in the QE. Your bouncers stood by and did nothing. One of our favourite places in Digbeth! Some really great arcade machines and fab cocktails as well as retro consoles to play. Also love that laser quest downstairs has its own cocktail menu

Came here for the first time properly visiting Birmingham in the day. Its a located a little out of the way but worth visiting if your into alternative venues or gaming. Its in a court yard with a few other venues nearby. Its all black walls inside but not dark as they are covered in artwork etc. using UV and glow in the dark paint, and as there are UV lights everywhere, its brightly lite up. Drinks selection on draught not the bog standard drinks but nothing special. They do have a large cocktail selection which we didn't try and you can clearly see the options as they are displayed on a huge boad behind the bar with funky names. There are several consoles that are free to use, including some classic games from the 80's so you could easily spend hours here if your into gaming. Spread around the venue are arcade games that take tokens you can buy from the bar. This includes booths for guitar hero and dance revolution. They do sell food but we didnt try it. I do like it here

Epic venue and great staff! Such a wonderful experience here. My innerchild got to relive so many nostalgia childhood memories with all the retro games they have here. A great variety of games to play and fantastic value for money. The cocktail menu was insane! The music was also a vibe! 💥

An absolute gem in the heart of Digbeth! NQ64 Birmingham is hands down one of the coolest spots in the city. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with that retro neon glow and a wave of nostalgia — it’s like stepping straight into the 80s and 90s arcade scene. They’ve got all the classics — Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Time Crisis, plus a ton of Sega and Nintendo favourites. Every machine feels well-kept and ready to play, which is rare these days! The bar is fantastic too, amazing cocktails, loads of drink options. The staff are friendly, the vibe is electric, and the mix of arcade fun + Laser Quest makes it one of the most unique experiences in Birmingham. If you love retro games, neon lights, and a bit of friendly competition, I think NQ64 is an absolute must-visit!

A great compact venue, though Wrap up well if heading there in Winter as a fair bit of the venue is situated outside. The stage has 2 huge TV screens behind it which show clips from many top programmes of the 60s. The venue specialises in retro acts from a bygone era. Bar prices are like most music venues slightly overpriced. On the whole a good sound & feel about the place you dig, I dug.

I recently went to see Symphonic Queen with my friend Lisa at Symphony Hall and the entire experience from when we walked in to when we left was fantastic. We were able to collect our tickets from the box office speedily, enjoying a reasonably priced drink at one of the many bars at the waiting areas, pre-ordering a drink for the intermission. We had side balcony seats which gave us a fantastic view of the stage and orchestra, the acoustics and lighting were phenomenal. The staff were incredibly pleasant, hardworking and helpful. What a fine concert experience to see the wonderful Boomtown Rats Saturday. Fine and friendly staff, effective signage, and a view par excellence. Crystal clear sound quality, so this great band connected with my eyes ears and above all heart.
Don M — Google review
Only one criticism. Some of the seated areas have very limited leg space, which is more noticeable during longer performances or shows. Due to long lines of seats with limited leg space and no access isles; everyone has to stand to allow someone in or out, after people have sat down. This also makes me question what would happen if there was an emergency requiring evacuation. How would that go? Not well I suspect, and certainly, accessibility for those with walking aids or wheelchairs would not be viable for these seats (though I'm certain that there will be other, specific areas where accessibility has been considered). Also another more minor issue... Drink/snack holders would be nice, though I appreciate this is not always considered appropriate at these types of venue. Other aspects of the venue were exceptional. Spacious, clean, well designed, well staffed. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were also of a good standard. Also I should say the crowd were excellent. Everyone was friendly and considerate, and excited or happy to be there. It was truly a joy to experience.

The hall itself is nice, comfortable seats, and the sound acoustics were great. The event itself was good, with a clear screen and an absolutely stunning orchestra. Slight disappointment that they didn't play the cantina band song live, and the queues for the bar at the interval were long which meant we ended up not buying a drink. Regardless, it was fantastic and the orchestra were definitely the stars of the show! I'd definitely go there again for future events!

The girls and the chap working in there were so lovely and super friendly and personable. The main downside was we were sat next to the door and it was freezing. They have a fire but it wasn't on. It seems they need a downward hot air blower above the door to keep the cold out. We did look to see if there was a table to move to but they all seemed to have reservations. Would definitely go again, just might put a note on the booking to ask not to be sat at the front. It's also really dog friendly which is amazing.

Unique little mexican restaurant above the pub. Felt authentic and my nachos and spicy prawn mango dish were both very good. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. Gave the atmosphere a 4 only because I was early and the music was too loud where i was sitting!

Wow, so pleased we found this amazing place 😍 food was yummy 😋 thank you to the staff, we arrived early and they let us in. Seated in no time. Excellent service explained who everything worked. Well worth every penny

Went on a Sunday and have the Caribbean carvery. Paid £19 I believe. With £5 deposit each when booking online and that paid for drinks. I liked that we had the choice of 2 soft drinks rather than 1, for the alcoholic drinks one was allowed for each person with a paid deposit. We went for the rum punch which normally cost £8.00 something but we got it for £5 with the deposit accounting for it. The rum was definitely in it which was good as you feel you’re getting your moneys worth. I did want it weaker and so the waitress (the only one serving! Well done for that) kindly gave me a glass of orange juice which worked well for me. My partner enjoyed the original strength of his drink though. The food provided a big plate and I like that you could have meat and fish. The food was okay. For example unfortunately the plantain I had was dry. Nonetheless I enjoyed the time there and staff were friendly.

First time visit, read reviews so wasn't expecting the best experience. But it was better than expected food was lovely, filling and tasted authentic. Had some of everything apart from the Yorkshire pudding which I personally didn't think went with it. I was only expecting a soft drink for my deposit but it did cover one glass of wine, larger and rum punch or two soft drinks. On the down side didn't like feeling rushed some of our party unfortunately came late, we were prompted to get our food then told we only had an hour left, so didn't have time to finish our drinks or have a pudding or coffee or relax and let the food go down. But despite this I would try it again.

The tapas was absolutely delicious and the portions were a good size. I recommend the quesadillas and the cheese plate ( which was huge). The cocktails were 2 for £12 on a Friday or Saturday- we had an Old Cuban which is a cocktail with Prosecco, not too sweet or sickly. Service was quick and friendly. Lovely Latin American music makes for a great atmosphere.

Come here most weeks. Normally a good pint. Had a bad pint from upstairs, which tasted like soap, I understand that happens so we tried to alert the staff. Something might have gone wrong with the line etc… The older lady with short/no hair refused to believe us and told us to go away. It’s quite sad as this was a spot we used to love to visit!
Matt R — Google review
The manager (lady in her 40s/50s with no hair) is so unbelievably rude. I ordered a drink which tasted like soap, she told me to leave and then called me a liar. She ended up calling security all because I had a dodgy pint. Would not recommend and think she should not be hospitality.
Thomas H — Google review
Not at all what I was expecting. Firstly, the rice and peas - what an insult to the Caribbean! - Definitely not authentic - I think I counted about 3 kidney beans in my very bland white rice. Secondly, the single ‘jerk’ chicken wing was nothing to write home about I’m afraid the curry goat was mainly bones. Finally, it was disappointing to see that the portion sizes varied from customer to customer. My small plate of food was definitely not worth £20, I mean 1 chichh my en wing! While some plates had 2 - still a stingy portion, with dessert incurring an extra charge. Calling this a carvery creates a certain expectation to help yourself and be full, not to be served small portions, school dinner style. Not for me.

My new favourite cocktail bar in Birmingham. The autumn menu is very good. Very cosy vibes and the music is 👌.

We were looking for a speakeasy and were happy to have found this place. We thought it was a gin bar, but it seems like that’s not the case anymore. The drinks menu is great and has options. It goes from appetizers, to main, to dessert for drinks which is a great way to present it. We wished there was a very special speakeasy entrance, but liked this place nonetheless. Nice cocktails.

The One Trick Pony Club, situated in the heart of Moseley Village, is a laid-back chain pub that welcomes pets. It's an ideal spot for a break after exploring the picturesque Moseley Park. The venue offers a buffet and veggie buffet menu for groups larger than 10, featuring classic dishes like triple-cooked chips, vegan nachos, cheeseburgers, and British scampi.
Absolutely LOVE this place. Ive been coming here once a month for the last few months to meet old sxhool friends. We always have a laugh at the pool table where we challenge each other. It could do with another pool table aa it is popular. Lots of other games etc to play too. The music and atmosphere is so good in there. We haven't eaten here so cannot comment on that.

Cannot comment on whether there is food but other than that it is a lovely, lively fun pub. The staff are lovely and service is quick. We are a group of childhood friends who pass by at least once a month to have a blast at pool to have a competition between us and we have so much fun the same time.. See you again soon

Had tasty snack 'Dirty Fries' topped with tinga sauce, vegan mayo & crispy tobacco onions. The chips where nice and crispy. Good portions. Price was moderate at £6. Also had nice cup of tea and a cup of latte. Good relaxing atmosphere. The table service was quick and efficient.

Just the trick. When it comes to cool One Trick Pony Club is ice cold. The cavernous interior has all the right cues: industrial lighting, retro art work, exposed brickwork and warm neon lighting. The staff complement the relaxed atmosphere, whilst still maintaining a high level of professionalism, care and attentiveness. What of the drinks and food? I can vouch for the latter. There is a large host of contemporary Pub dishes. The focus is on burgers and pizzas. The burgers being their speciality. They cater for veggies and vegans across the menu. I can vouch for the pizza, falafel pocket and torte. High quality and well presented. Given the huge host of seating arrangements inside and out, One Trick Pony is a great place to lounge and enjoy a social gathering.

Your best local pub in Moseley. Live football , pool tables A nice enticing menu and array of drinks The place is kept really clean and has a large spacious seating area for different groups of people. A number of screens with different matches over the weekend and week days. DJ special nights as well. If there is queue at the bar you can order from the table with a QR Code .

Set in a historic building, this classic watering hole offers an informal atmosphere and features regular musical performances that draw in a dedicated following of music enthusiasts. The venue's charming ambience is enhanced by its exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and cozy stage area.
We stumbled across this place whilst out walking … live music early on a Saturday evening! and the atmosphere was amazing… plenty of drink selection and the staff were great too.

We arrived early afternoon and I think the staff were readying themselves for the late afternoon slot and were a bit distracted. We had a lovely time before people started to pile in and the band came on. After they came on we had an even better time. They were brilliant and the place was buzzing. It was a shame we had to leave but we had a date with Jeff Lynne. Thoroughly recommended pub with great entertainment.

Wow four of us popped in here last Friday for a quick, early nightcap after already being out for 6 hours and ended up staying for another 5. Great atmosphere and music, just the 2 of us on the dance floor early evening my son in law's Mom and I, love the old hits. Just as we were about to leave a young lady singer came on with her guitar 🎸 she was absolutely amazing and we didn't leave until after her two part set had ended. Lady behind the bar was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks, including non alcohol drinks which impressed one of our party who was driving. Left about 10.15pm when the venue was really getting full, great few hours, my liver spent Saturday detoxing 😆

This is the third event/gig I have put on at the Actress & Bishop. Katie and the team have helped ensure it all runs smoothly. A technician in place at the start to help get the bands soundchecks done. A point of contact to ensure the bar runs smoothly. And all of the bands who played praised the setup at the venue. A perfect place for a private event in the city centre.

Hare & Hounds, located at 106 High St, King's Heath, Birmingham B14 7JZ, is a renowned venue with two art nouveau-tiled spaces that host live entertainment and gigs. This establishment holds historical significance as the place where the band UB40 played their first gig. Despite being larger than many independent music venues in the area, it remains a popular spot for both local and touring indie acts.
Super cool and trendy pub/ venue. Went in two for one burger night and was not disappointed in the quality of the burgers, super delicious and highly recommend!! Also the loaded fries were exceptional, and the addition of the local company Pips hot sauce being available was a nice touch. The pub has a great selection of beers and ciders including local breweries such as attic brewery.

Decent pub and enue upstairs. Not too big. Sounds system pretty ok. Prices a bit steep for a club in the location. Was there for a vinyl 90's funky house night. Terrace a little strange with having to go up and down into court yard

decent pub and gig venue although it's laid out oddly with the main entrance and exit door right next to the stage and a narrow viewing area.. think they should partition off the entrance door.

Had been at a bar just down from the Hare and Hounds it was a birthday party for someone so we had some left over sausage rolls, bags of crisps etc. we left and tried to visit here and were searched and told we couldn’t come in. We explained that we had no intention of eating the food we just wanted to keep it to the end of the night so we could donate it to charity. The bouncers told us no, we couldn’t come in. I explained that we were happy to leave the food outside because we just wanted a drink, again told no. Absolutely no common sense used, and lost a few rounds of business because of it. I love the hare but am deeply disappointed with them and will consider advising people to avoid it in future

Nice enough atmosphere to sit and enjoy a drink. Live music was great but can be loud, so not best place to have a conversation. Food is limited, I thought there would have been way more of a selection, but mostly just chicken dishes. Food is expensive for what it is, and wouldn't say its worth the money. Drinks aren't cheap either. Overall it was an enjoyable night with friends, but wouldn't really go back again.

There’s quite a few places that have sprung up recently trying to replicate the feel of this venue. It’s that stripped back chic that works well, if done properly. There’s a variety of different day and night events and the atmosphere is always relaxing.

Took a long time to make cocktail weekend drinks - but appreciate them being made from scratch. Good selection of food. It was just so so hot. This isn't going to be the norm as we have been before and it's fine but as it was a hot day and the building is metal, it was like sitting in a sauna.

This place, although a bit dark in the main area, due to being a disused factory, I think? Has a great atmosphere and visually inspiring quotes.comfy sofas, stools and seating so take your pick where to sit.Stage for live bands, and a club within the club owned by Jayson spinning rare tracks and people spinning and grooving to the tracks . If you like a good workout and getting sweaty with like-minded people, fabulous. Food was awesome, but due to the event , the wait was nearly two hours for jerk chicken, so you know it's fresh and well cooked .There'ss also another eatery and slushie area.Outside area great ambience. Friendly bar staff, clean toilets with toilet roll. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Really enjoyed the Bavarian feast - enough for the five of us to share (although we had some sides we couldn't finish). Bratwurst, pork belly and schnitzel was tasty! Knuckle was on the dry side. The pretzel and swirl was not anything special though so I would skip those but enjoyed the rest!

Came here yesterday for sunday lunch as a party of 7. 4 adults, 3 children. We were given a great table by the stage. A huge shout out to our waiter, Rhys, who was brilliant! Great personality, attentive, great sense of humour and overall lovely man! For food we ordered: Ruby prawns Hummus and pitta Krokettes Onion soup 3 beef dinners 1 chicken dinner Pork knuckle dinner (the knuckle was huge!) Kids chicken dinner Kids beef dinner Starters were amazing. My only negative point is that the beef was a bit chewy/fatty, however, everything else on the plate was lovely. We also had ice cream, chocolate brownie and apple strudel for dessert and all were great. The singers were brilliant and we loved the atmosphere. Our kids loved the disco toilet in the ladies and the photo booth which was only a pound! The bill came to £270 for food and drinks for 7, which i don't think is unreasonable for Birmingham. Overall, we had a lovely time and only lost a star due to the beef. I woukd definitely return in the future and try something off the main menu.

Absolute gem of an experience dining at Albert Schloss! Spacious dining area with 2 bars. Cocktails are excellent, would highly recommend the apple strudel cocktail! Food portions are massive and make the steeper price tag worth it. Highly recommend the cordon bleu schnitzel with truffle parmesan fries. Lovely place to celebrate milestones, or even just a fancy meal. Bathroom is rather dimly lit, but clean. Note: Only the bar opens at 11:00, kitchen opens at 12:00.

I have to start by saying how amazing Verity was from my very first call. I told her we were celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday with close friends and family, and that I wanted the night to be truly memorable. She suggested a booth, which was perfect — it even made my son’s night as we ended up meeting a girl from Love Island and her friends who shared some shots with us! I also have to mention the lovely Claire. We had a last-minute menu change to your new Oktoberfest menu, and some items were no longer available. With two fussy eaters in our party, Claire was absolutely fantastic, helping us accommodate everyone. After a couple of emails and calls, she sorted everything out, and all our guests were very happy. Last, but by no means least, Harry was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond, making the night not just a 10/10, but an 11/10. He was attentive, hardworking, and ensured my wife had an unforgettable birthday. The evening exceeded all our expectations and ranks as one of our best ever nights out. Thank you — happy wife, happy life! We will definitely be returning and can’t recommend your amazing team highly enough. Kind regards, Peter

Only 3/5 rooms open on a Saturday night which was disappointing. Music all quite similar in each room, which was a shame. Got given a voucher to get in for £6 and then got charged £10 as it took so long getting through the complicated security! All booth seating roped off but not in use. Not great to be honest... Okay for a short visit, will say that the drinks weren't too expensive given the setting and location.

If there was an option for zero stars, this place would deserve even less. My night at this so-called "nightclub" was nothing short of appalling. From the moment we arrived, we were met with the most unprofessional, arrogant, and downright hostile staff I’ve ever encountered. The doormen behaved like power-tripping security guards at a prison gate—condescending, cold, and completely full of themselves. They acted as if letting people in was some kind of exclusive privilege they were bestowing upon the unworthy masses. When we approached, they barely looked at us, muttering snide comments under their breath, laughing amongst themselves like a bunch of high school bullies on a power trip. We came dressed properly, excited for a night out, and had already paid £30 each for entry. But the staff made it clear we weren’t welcome. No explanation. No reasoning. Just the most dismissive and infuriating response: “It’s just how it is tonight.” That’s not a policy—that’s an insult. When we tried to get clarification, we were talked over, mocked, and ignored. One staff member even rolled his eyes and walked away mid-conversation like we were beneath him. The attitude was so disgusting, I honestly can’t remember the last time I felt so deliberately disrespected in a place that calls itself a business. This wasn't just bad service—it was blatant arrogance, unprofessionalism, and a complete lack of human decency. It was like they took pride in ruining people’s nights. Avoid this place at all costs. There are hundreds of better venues where you're actually treated like a paying customer instead of a nuisance. I will never set foot near this joke of a nightclub again, and I strongly advise anyone with self-respect to do the same

I recently visited here on a Saturday night for a friends birthday. There was 10 of us and we also booked food. We sat upon the mezzanine area where you had a separate bar and toilet area from the main club. The food was nice, ate bread with salmon for a starter, lamb dinner with potatoes for the main followed by the cheese board. After eating the band starting playing and they were really good. We were able to leave our stuff at the tables whilst going down to the dance floor area, and return to the bar and toilet which was great as you avoided long queues. Overall it was a great night.

Had fun last night. I went all by myself. Old folks who love live jazz and highlife music will enjoy the place better. The securities are good, bar tenders are nice. Overall 8/10

Great gig watching Incognito. The food really was top notch, very reasonably priced and served beautifully hot. The staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. One of the nicest whole evening experiences we have had for a long while. Well done The Jam House
Andre B — Google review
It appears the security here need to learn some simple manners. This security guard completely ruined my evening for my mother’s hen do and first experience of Jam House. There is a way to speak to people for a simple demand and also important to not intimidate people in doing so (still unsure why it took two of them to ask me to stand up). Likely won’t return.

Booking with First Table meant that we were able to choose from the 3 course menu for a fixed price of £20 (if I remember correctly) There were some great options to choose from with our meals being cooked to perfection. This is a really good opportunity to taste some delicious food in a unique establishment.

Great pub in the basement. Lookout for the door next to Greggs. Excellent range of ales and ciders. Only pub snacks available but you can take your own food in to eat with a drink.

Lovely little gem of a pub! Well worth a visit if you like a traditional pint. Two ways in, one from Penfield Street, and the other from New Street - right next door to Greggs. You can even take your own food down into the vaults, and they will provide a plate, knife and fork!

Unfortunately this pub has now closed. Was my go to in Birmingham as so close to new street and always had a great selection of beers.

Great wee hidden gem in Birmingham city centre. Especially if you like Belgian and German beers. 🍺

**Unfortunately now ceased trading** So handy for New Street station when you can find the doorway (No. 84) Choice of cask ales on sale varies but they tend to be from the more obscure breweries.
Mark N — Google review
Great little find right near New Street Station. Good vibe and atmosphere and a nice selection of ales available. Excellent display of beer bottles around the bar on shelving and the wifi password made me chuckle.
Sean H — Google review
I’ve been to this pub a few times now, love it as it has lots of real ciders on all year. On this visit it has 11 on. This pub is easy to miss as the entrance is small so you can easily walk past it. They don’t do food but your are allowed to bring your own. Highly recommended if you like proper cider

Popped in for a swift pint before athletics and ended up having 2. Its welcoming pub, down some steps. Opening out to a single room with hops on the ceiling, old photos of the area and a fantastic selection of cask ale. I think six when I visited. The bottle selection was tempting but I didn't have a lot of time. Barstaff and clientele were friendly.

Been in this pub a few times many years ago on evenings when it was very lively, and visited today during the day for a quick beer. Nice and clean with a good vibe. Quick and friendly service. Didn't try the food so can't comment on that.

Love this place, just a really good vibe here. Decor and atmosphere are both terrific. Staff are really attentive and friendly. Haven't tried the food (yet) so can't comment on that.

Surprising good cheeseburger and fries for lunch 👍 Relatively quiet at lunchtime. Good to talk and grab a bite to eat.

Out with work colleagues...we had a few drinks here and ordered some food...did not rate my food. The cibatta bread was rock hard...none of us were really over whelmed with our food...I suppose you pay your money you take your chances. It was more about getting together after work. Nice vibrant atmosphere, music became louder as the evening went on.

Nice boozer, we didn't eat so can't comment on the food, decent prices on the drinks, good tunes being played and excellent vibe with the punters, there was something going on between two different groups that resulted in lots of cheers from both sides. Despite how busy it was, there was no real wait at the bar. 5/5 would recommend

well worth a visit if you like top quality graffiti murals. good food joints and cold beers sold at various venues. I visit here each time I come to Birmingham. this country could do with more digbeths.
Tristan B — Google review
The service is excellent, we were well directed to suitable games and they got us in early. Unfortunately the food was diabolically bad, almost as bad as I've ever been served. We ordered an array of batterred items eg cauliflower and other bits. They were incredibly salty and slightly overdone on the outside with raw batter on the inside. Clearly someone had been heavy handed with the salt then not checked. Also the oil was far far too hot and burned the outside and left inside raw. Unless of course they were done from frozen in a hurry. We tried some of it but even though hungry left it except for our burned popcorn chicken, paid out £76 and left.
DXX M — Google review
I had a walk around here to see the Ozzy Osbourne mural. The graffiti is amazing, the vibe is really urban and gritty but there's also a lot of cool bars and restaurants. It's a short walk from digbeth coach station and a little further from the bullring. It's well worth a visit if you're either an Ozzy Osbourne/black Sabbath fan or if you just like graffiti and cool bars and restaurants! I got some nice photos but I want to return to check the area more thoroughly.

Went here today for the 'Cheese Fest at Custard Factory' and it was really good!! Lots of different good stalls and plenty of cheese varieties. Considering it was £5 ticket it was well worth it and didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was good and food stalls were lush 😍
Rachael B — Google review
Attended charity fundraising abseil on behalf of Birmingham Parkinson's Society, using the Custard Factory's Greenhouse wall on Gibb Street, Digbeth. Safety was to the fore, with stringent measures in place on the ground, on the roof & for every abseiler. Abseilers went up the elevator to the roof in small groups, providing enthusiastic support as one by one they went over the edge & down the wall. Excellent training & guidance provided by abseil pros. Fascinating area around the Custard Factory, with many arty cafés, restaurants & shops, the area also famous for its graffiti artwork. Original cobbles cause difficulties for those of us with mobility issues (I changed shoes 3 times) but fortunately found a small car park with a single disabled parking spot (!) on Gibb Street itself. Suggest checking parking prior to arriving in the area, a mix of narrow 1-way streets, broader streets with on-street parking, & larger car parks a little further from the centre. The Custard Factory itself wasn't open. A shame as I'd have loved to explore the history of the area further.
Mitch F — Google review
Not very good I'm afraid. Most if not all the little shops and venues didn't open until midday. I was there at 10am I didn't even bother to wait I just left. Its okay if you're a student who ad sent a night on the beer, don't get up till lunch time. There was just not a lot to do. Sorry but a thumbs down from me.

We eat at Sobremesa, a vegan restaurant in the courtyard at the custard factory. This is an excellent place to visit and eat al fresco. Service was the best thing about this bar/restaurant. Spud and the lady with the lovely Irish accent were lovely. The food was nice and really good for both vegan or non vegan customers. I would highly recommend it and we will definitely be returning soon

Just as good one year on! Visited April 2024 and loved Tilt. Back this April and we came in twice on our trip to Birmingham. Great range of beers which my partner enjoyed. As someone who doesn’t drink I was very happy to find the vault city AF sour in the fridge. Good range of beers in the fridge to takeaway. Also had an oat latte and hot chocolate - both were so good! Definitely try a hot chocolate. Lots of different pinball machines. Friendly staff!
Charlotte — Google review
Have seen this place in the local news and on social media a few times, it looked fun and I was in the vicinity so thought I'd pop in. There's three floors of pinball machines and seating, and craft beers on tap. I started off with a few games on the foo fighters machine, which was great as it pumped out some of their best work while I played, and gave the extra incentive to play better and longer! After that, I chilled out with a few beers, and got my wife a couple of coffees in. We went during a quiet time, and were served by the owner who I quietly recognised from media I'd previously seen. Service was friendly and courteous. A few times he offered to bring our drinks to our table. My wife enjoyed the coffee, it looked and smelt great to me. I tried three different pints, but you can buy various smaller measures, which is handy as the beer is definitely not cheap, ranging from £5.60 to £24 for a pint! The three I had were lovely though. It's the kind of place that's definitely worth checking out at least once as a great experience, but not somewhere I could see myself regularly visiting. I came in ready with pound coins for the machines, but I believe they sort you out with change at the counter if you're not as well prepared.
Dal — Google review
Craft beer bar and pinball gallery. Set in lovely old arcade. Very basic seating and facilities. Some very good craft beers were on at reasonable prices. (Some special US beers were the most expensive I've ever seen in UK). About 20 pinball machines in very good working condition. Clearly a specialist place - but hard to beat for beer & pinball.
Doug N — Google review
Love this bar. Never really played pinball before but a big fan of old school arcade games. Went here for a change on a night out with the wife and have been back several times. Three floors of pinball machines from very new ones like Jaws to old classics like the Addams Family. Have taken various friends and my kids and everyone loves it. If you are bored of all the obvious places give tilt a try. :)
Marcus M — Google review
Brilliant bar with a fine selection of craft beer and pinball machines! New pinball machines on the ground floor and classic 90"s tables on the first floor. All in great condition and played very well. £1 for one game, £3 for three games, great value. The beer was super as well with an interesting selection on offer. Prices were reasonable for the quality on offer. Overall a great bar and well worth popping in.
David W — Google review
Great little bar/cafe. Have lots of pinball machines to play with even though there like 30+ pinballs, they do have plenty of tables if you want to sit down. Bearing in mind you still need to pay coins for the machine. I say it's great fun to start your night or even taking the kids there while yourself having a nice cold pint. Drinks menu is interesting with different types and seasons drinks however it isn't a pint you neck down in 5 min as it pretty pricey. 8/10
Edwould Z — Google review
Fantastic Pinball bar offering a superb range of craft beers on tap, in cans and in bottles. All styles of beers on offer, whether you like IPAs, sour beers or big heavy stouts! If you're not in the mood for a beer, there's a range of other drinks on offer, plus some pretty delicious coffee and cakes! Vibe is super chilled and the staff are very knowledgeable about the machines and the beers. Pinball machines are beautifully maintained and range from vintage 90s machines upstairs to brand new machines on the ground floor. Well recommended if you like the sound of a bar with equally well curated machines and beers alike!

Came here as i like the alternative looking bars. Place was packed with football supporters when we got here but no one was rowdy or anything. Service was quick for how busy it was do no complaints there. Draught selection was good as it wasnt your normal drinks choice. Great venue, never been here before so didn't know what to expect. I came to a gig on a Sunday and was really worried about parking and potentially having to walk a little way (fine) in the dark (not fine). I got there and was able to park right outside, for free, what a win! I had the best night, first post-lockdown gig and it was fantastic. The bar downstairs seemed a great size and they serve food. Can't offer feedback on this as I didn't eat here. Where the band were, was upstairs, this was a nice sized area, not too big and there was a separate bar just to the side of the stage. Top night! 👌🏻

Old fashioned pub nothing to write home about , just good beers and on that day a northern soul dj , so the music was good had to sit outside in the beer garden as just to load to have a conversation with our friends. Anyway overall not a bad pub for a decent real ale pint .

The less than pleasant experience started before I got there. The website has absolutely no information, their email address does not work and while they read their messages on social media, they do not respond to any of them. I managed to find out via other attendees that the performance I was interested was at 1am but I was ready to have a fun night it so it was no problem. Got there a couple of minutes before 10pm then everyone was kicked out to queue up again. They took us to a completely different room upstairs and then a couple of hours later let us downstairs again to the 'main' room. No matter who I asked in the venue, no one seemed to have any information whatsoever which just felt weird considering they all worked there. The lack of communication from staff really created a confusing night but the performers were great which made things much better.

Love the club generally but the absolute awful DJs refuse to listen to request even in an empty venue ???? I’d understand if it was busy but playing shit tunes when the same song has been requested multiple times seems purposely dense!!

Security have to be bored out of their mind they act so annoyed. Overall service from Bar Staff is great. Drinks are expensive and there’s a £5 min so be wary. Great place though. When doing security checks though be prepared to get treated like a severe criminal, they really ensure therell be no issues at all

Absolutely awful experience at Lab 11 today. There was literally no space to move – packed beyond comfort. Singers/DJs should think twice before coming here because the venue clearly doesn’t know how to handle the crowd. There needs to be a maximum limit on the number of people allowed in, but clearly money comes first for them. On top of that, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, which just ruined the whole night even more. Never coming back.
Rohail K — Google review
Very nice staff, just extremely crowded! No space to move, was scared I would fall on the floor in the crowd, and not be able to get up, as the crowd was not standing still, and kept shifting. Also, in the smoking area guys started fighting, so we left and told the security guards. They went there straight away. Long story short, staff was nice, but couldn’t let myself go and enjoy the night, due to too many people in a small space. (Little tip, make the bar area and main room one big space, as the bar area was completely empty and the main room too busy)
Rosa L — Google review
Went to a concert at Lab 11 and it was awful. The venue was massively overcrowded with no room to dance. Staff were extremely rude — when we accidentally went the wrong way to the toilets, instead of politely redirecting us, one woman started shouting and even threatened to call security. Reception staff were just as unprofessional. Easily one of the worst venue experiences I’ve had. I’ll never come back and don’t recommend it to anyone.
Gaurav — Google review
I came here with some friends who swore this place was amazing however after experiencing this place first hand, heres a few things that can be improved upon 1. The food , pizza to be exact could do with not having a couple of pubic hair looking things on it, the staff didnt seem to care at all. 2. Bathroom hygene was awful, one toilet had more skidmarks than the m1 motorway down it, digusting. 3. The the majority of the staff here were short tempered & rude. Im sure if these things are improved upon the place would be good, there are much better places to spend you time & money.
Joseph D — Google review
We went to Lab11 to see Roger Sanchez and we had a time! Security is tight but all the guys were professional, I felt safe the whole time we were there and I didn’t witness any hostility at all from staff. Lab11 is an authentic rave warehouse so certain areas are a bit rough and ready but it is what it is. It didn’t feel overcrowded and there weren’t too many phones out - mostly bc it was a slightly older crowd actually enjoying themselves. Drinks are reasonably priced and we hopped straight into a taxi at the end of the event. I would go back for sure.
Jodie B — Google review
Great venue, although security kicked us out instead of the people next to us who were fighting. Got the wrong people although despite telling them it wasn’t us, they proceeded to be rude and say ‘we don’t have time for you, get out’ and continued to aggressively push us out. Security need fixing up, ruined our night!

Payed £40 for a ticket to see east end dubs and £240 on an apartment for the night just for the bouncers to say I was too drunk ( I had 1 drink before I got tot the event) bouncers here are rude and Nasty. I said I wasn’t drunk and they said YOU WHAT YOU GETTING CHEEKY 3 surround me and proceeded to throw me out of the queue like I was some rag doll it was humiliating and nasty! Cocktail bar
Bar Ikigai is a charming cocktail haven nestled in the suburbs of Birmingham, drawing inspiration from Japan's vibrant Izakaya culture. This cozy spot invites you to unwind with its laid-back atmosphere and an impressive selection of drinks that highlight seasonal Japanese ingredients like yuzu, miso, and sake. The cocktail menu offers a delightful mix of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, ensuring there's something for everyone.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon soon after it opened to celebrate our anniversary. We bought our little one in as well, which was not an issue as their licence allows children during certain hours. The cocktails were delicious and the menu was interesting to look through. The guys serving us were friendly and helpful when choosing, as there is plenty to choose from. Unfortunately it was only us in there at the time so it was lacking a bit of an atmosphere, regardless I look forward to coming back and trying more!

The atmosphere is very beautiful- finally a spacious bar in Birmingham!! The service is professional, very kind and friendly and presented every cocktail nicely. All the cocktails are amazing. The black honey is one of the best cocktails I 've ever had (I like sweet). I'm definitely coming again to taste more cocktails.

Beautiful bar, unique aesthetic and tasty cocktails. Definitely would recommend a visit - the service was lovely and the explanation of the origins of each drink and presentation were exquisite. Will be visiting again soon.

Fantastic cocktails. The venue is lovely, and more spacious than the old JQ spot. Really thoughtful menu, with a clear rationale behind each drink. We had - Kintsugi - wild garlic margarita (special) - Noh - Shikki Clean, well made, and warm service too. Highly recommend. Also, dog friendly.

Amazing attention to detail and taste. We were amazed at the flavours in the cocktails. The guy who owns this place sure does know his stuff. Super enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We didn't really know what to expect, but loved the experience. Will definitely be visiting again as soon as we go back to Birmingham. Thanks 👍

Came here for drinks before an anniversary dinner and so glad we did. Ollie really took care of us, bringing out some prosecco to celebrate and wishing us a happy anniversary. He was super friendly and answered all the questions I had about the place. Amazing to know these guys have done so well even though they started in between lockdowns! The cocktails here are delicious, each different to the last and all tasting fantastic. All come with their own story to add that little bit more to the drink. The vibe inside was intimate due to the small venue but this only added to the character of the bar, which we really liked. Overall we really enjoyed out experience here, leaving happy and tipsy! All the best to Bar Ikigai staff for their move in November!

Love the great Japanese bar which can make any cocktail on Tokyo Station menu map into a mocktail for me. Luke the owner has plenty of great stories behind his drink making concoctions. A must visit as it's quite the hidden gem in JQ

Known for attracting celebrities like Headie One and Chris Brown, Bambu has become a hotspot for fashion-forward crowds looking to enjoy sensational drinks and vibrant music.
Despite the club being fairly small I really enjoyed my night and especially the music choice. Lovely staff and security, appreciated the thorough body and ID checks. Only downside were the artist performing on the night of the event who came in really late and drinks slightly overpriced.

Paid for VIP on a Saturday evening for my fiancées birthday. Arrived at 10.30 to be told the DJ wasn’t there and to come back in an hour. Returned at 11.30 to be let into an empty club. No DJ appeared until 1am. I asked the lady in change what was going on and she mentioned there was meant to be a London event which was cancelled and she ‘forgot’ she had my table booking until we arrived. I asked for a partial refund as we should have been made aware and we waited until 1.30 and was still in an empty club. We had lots of alcohol left in our bottles. The bouncer got aggressive and said he was dispensing it into plastic bottles however I explained we wouldn’t be able to get into any other clubs with plastic bottles full of vodka. I was told by ladies on the desk that it was shocking service we had received and to email the management. I emailed management twice with no reply. I also messaged on Instagram twice with no reply. Shocking service. Birthday ruined!

My son’s girlfriend booked a booth for a special occasion, now i say this and it is without any prejudice, before anyone starts accusing. They were the only white people in the club, which was altogether fine by them, until they kept getting stared and threatening remarks, and groups of lads walking into the booth and helping themselves to their drinks, they were asked to leave by the girl who had booked the booth and she was punched in the face and quite literally picked up and thrown across the a table resulting in 27 stitches in her leg. Not one bouncer tried to help as a massive fight broke out, in fact the party had to get themselves out through a fire escape. So as for reviews i would say either close it down or get new bouncers OR just avoid ………

What a awful time I had at Bamboo. We first arrived at the door and was greeted by many bouncers with all kinds of metal detectors and was patted down at least three times. My id was then taken and scanned. This lead to to think that maybe the place is very busy or they have lots of trouble. After entering the club I seen that the place was completely empty and could not understand what all the fuss at the door was about. They had told us we could get in free, or so we thought. As as soon as I bought a drink a very aggressive bouncer came up to me and said that I now need to pay to get in. I said this is fine and I will pay. Let me just get my drink. The bouncer become even more aggressive and insisted that I leave my drink and pay to get in. At this point I knew that It was time to leave. Not a nice place at all. Keep away from this place!
Daniel G — Google review
**** AVOID HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS **** We booked a booth here for a hen party on Saturday 5th August 2023 and paid £250 for this and a drinks package. However, we turned up on the night and the club was shut. According to a couple of bouncers this place hasn’t been open for some time and us known for trouble. No contact from the club to let us know they would be shut. When we contacted them asking for a refund they deleted all their sent messages to us. Luckily we had previously screen shotted everything. Absolutely disgusting behaviour taking advantage of people and stealing their money. I hope no one else falls for their lies.
Grace W — Google review
As the other reviews, security is not there for your safety at all. They will make sure not to help you if you are in need and will push you violently. They also block the exit because they prefer to chat with their mates. 6£ for cloakroom! I have been there before with the same jacket and never had to put it in the cloakroom. Now it’s “compulsory”. All lies just to make some more money. Drinks are overpriced. They overfill the place, you have no space at all and even if you want to exit, it’s so crowded and filled you can’t even make your way out. Been there few times, might be good for a one time but wouldn’t recommend it or go again. They just want your money.
Theodora A — Google review
Yesterday we went to this nightclub and the security guards were forcing the girls to take off their coats and wouldn't let them in unless they took them off. Then the people inside were not allowed to talk to the people outside, and the security guards were blocking the doorway and cursing at the customers who didn't take off their coats. There was a girl wearing a blazer and said to the security guard all I have left underneath is my underwear and the security guard said no you have to take it off or leave. Me and my friends left eventually, will never come back again.
Yyy L — Google review
Terrible place! Paid for the cloakroom to leave my jacket and they gave my jacket away to someone else. Was given a contact number to call and they have ignored all of my calls and messages. Asked to be reimbursed because how can you just give away someone’s jacket when it’s got an allocated ticket number. Terrible club and would not recommend

Birmingham Hippodrome is a historic 1,900-seater Victorian theater in Birmingham, UK. It has a modern foyer and hosts a wide range of performances including musicals, ballet, opera, and West End shows. Situated near the Arcadian Centre and Birmingham's gay village, it has become known for hosting spectacular productions such as The Lion King and Wicked.
10/10 if I could vote higher than 5. One of the most well presented venues in the West Midlands, bringing audiences from across the UK. For many years, I’ve enjoyed everything from pantomimes, musicals, and dance. My first visit to The Hippodrome was as a child of 6 years old and having seen behind the scenes of the theatre as a teenager, I know how hard the team work to welcome high quality productions to Birmingham. My old recommendation is to continue to review the ticket prices to remain accessible to all audiences from all ethnicities and ages. Prices have risen steeply and it’s hard to balance profit with inclusion

Really great theatre. Plenty of toilets, so queues move quickly. Lots of space front of house while waiting to go in. Comfy seating, and leg room not too bad. Had an incredible view from row B of the circle. Very expensive though compared to other non-London theatres.

Went to see Moulin Rouge. Went in my wheelchair. We were welcomed at the entrance and directed to the lift to take us to our seats. The staff gave us a rundown of all the facilities that we could use and were already aware of my needs from my access card. This made me feel very welcome and safe. Staff took our intermission drinks orders and delivered them to us with a smile. They regulally checked in with us to make sure we were ok. Fantastic service, venue, staff and experience. Oh, and Moulin Rouge was amazing too. Will be going back.

Wonderful venue. Saw Moulin Rouge. Excellent views from seats. Sound quality was exceptional. Would like to visit more often but the traffic situation currently in Birmingham is a complete nightmare. Took over an hour to travel 2.5 miles to reach the Mailbox carpark. Not the theatre's fault but not putting myself through that again.

A Fabulous theatre. One of the best we have been to. Very well organised. We also prebooked their pre-dinner dining at the same time as we booked the theatre tickets. We were so impressed by the quality of food served, the attendance by the restaurant staff was spot on. Then nipping back to your restaurant table at the break and having a pre ordered dessert and drink sat waiting in comfort, was just amazing. Would definitely book here again. It was all done so well.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a 15-acre site featuring exotic flora housed in elegant Victorian glass houses, along with a Bonsai garden and bird collection. The surrounding area offers nature lovers a variety of famous parks to explore, including the Birmingham Nature Centre, Cannon Hill Park, and more. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the vibrant nightlife concentrated along Broad Street and in Brindley place.
£9 entry for adults + £3 per car might seem steep but is 100% worth it for these beautiful gardens. With about 15 acres to explore you could easily spend 3-4hrs here! Perfect for a nice relaxed afternoon if you go during the week, I imagine it's quite a bit busier on the weekends and school holidays. Be aware that the hot-houses are very hot and humid! Probably 30-35? so if you go in the colder months make sure you can remove some layers easily. The grounds are broadly wheelchair accessible, with sloping ramps. Although if possible take someone who is able to open doors as one door in the cacti room to an accessible ramp does get stuck and some slopes (while gentle for those walking) could be a little steep for a manual chair. Plenty of benches around, some in the sun and some in the shade as well as a large gazebo-like structure near the rose garden you could duck into if it rains. Perfect for kiddos, if you park yourself in the cafe with a view to the hothouse door you can safely send them off on their own to run around for hours. There is a plat area as well if that's more their thing than running through bushes. Love the little shop, lots of gardening bits as well as cards, pottery and artwork all priced fairly high as you would expect for any garden centre/ public attraction. The cafe seems well enough, again watch out for your wallet as the cakes on display look delicious!

The botanical garden tour was indeed a captivating experience, offering a glimpse into the beauty of diverse plant life. The carefully curated landscapes and vibrant flowers created a truly enchanting atmosphere. It was a pity that the allotted time did not allow for a more extensive exploration of all the garden's wonders. Perhaps another visit is in order to fully appreciate its splendor.

Came here with my partner. Pretty easy to book, can do so online. £3 per car parking - would advise not to go at a busy time as the car park will be full. Lovely day out full of various plants and trees. Most of the outdoor plants are British origin with others being housed indoors. Managed to get around in an hour and a half, seeing all of the plants we wanted to see. As per usual, snacks and drinks are a bit costly £1.50 for a can. Overall, would recommend

The Birmingham Repertory Theatre, established in 1913, has been a prominent cultural institution in the city. The venue, which moved to Broad Street in the 1970s, has hosted legendary actors such as Laurence Olivier and Kenneth Branagh. While it no longer maintains an in-house repertory cast, under the artistic direction of Jonathan Church, it became a leading force in Birmingham's theatrical scene.
Such an amazing theatre, because of the shape every seat has a good view. The staff are super friendly, the only downside is the cost of refreshments, a 330ml can of water was £2. Still, I need to give 5 stars though because it's such a good venue.

We loved Inspector Morse TV show, and this is what caught my eye, booking was so easy and ordered interval drinks. Show time was the afternoon matinee, and we arrived on time to collect the tickets and take the seats. Row E was just about perfect , close enough to hear and see clearly however to be honest the theater is small enough to sit anywhere and have a fabulous view. I will definitely recommend this place and be booking more shows.

Loved it ! The (free entrance) space is really great with two floors of exhibition including a social space which has that giant drawing social table which is filled with so much of the visitors drawings. I think that this gallery probably has a relatively small collection and their reliant on visiting artist exhibitions for the majority of what they show. Arts are very personalized and you may really enjoy the current exhibit. It wasn’t a very good match for me. I would recommend that you. I recently visited Ikon Gallery in Birmingham for the exhibition What Did You Want to See? by Mahtab Hussain. The exhibition offers a poignant exploration of Birmingham's Muslim communities, addressing themes of surveillance and identity. Hussain's photographic works, including intimate portraits and images of local mosques, challenge stereotypes and highlight the resilience of these communities. The gallery's minimalist design provides an ideal setting for the contemplative nature of the exhibition. Overall, it was a thought-provoking experience that deepened my understanding of the complexities surrounding identity and representation.

Loved seeing the art, interesting and playful — and can I just say, the staff were the friendliest I can remember in any art gallery, really appreciated them!

Midlands Arts Centre, also known as MAC, is a vibrant arts complex located on the edge of Cannon Hill Park. It offers a diverse range of entertainment including theatre, dance, music, comedy performances and cinema screenings. The center also hosts workshops and exhibits for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, MAC features a Christmas Arts Market with handcrafted items from local designer-makers. The KILN Cafe serves festive treats and creates a cozy atmosphere for visitors to explore the market's offerings.
This was our first visit, and we were thoroughly impressed. The venue hosts a variety of engaging exhibitions that change over time, ensuring a fresh and exciting experience with each visit. The team is exceptionally friendly and supportive, and the entire facility is impeccably clean.Additionally, there is an on-site shop and restaurant, making it a convenient and enjoyable destination. This place is suitable for all age groups, offering something for everyone regardless of age.An added bonus is its proximity to Cannon Hill Park, a stunning location perfect for a leisurely walk. Overall, this is a highly recommended destination that we look forward to visiting again.

The premier arts centre in Birmingham, located in Cannon Hill Park, in Moseley. On the day we visited there was a lively exhibition and we wanted to watch a film but the box office closed and it was too late to buy tickets in the shop. We popped into the recording studio which is well equipped and stopped for snacks in the cafe. As well as the cinema, music studio and exhibition space, there are also workshops and events space.
Mal333 — Google review
Very impressed with our first time at cinema - small but very comfortable & staff member was lovely. Less impressed with restaurant- disappointed that the two items we chose from a restricted menu (mostly pizzas) were not available & we had to eat elsewhere. As new residents of Birmingham we think the MAC is an exciting and interesting venue.
Susan H — Google review
Very poor customer service fro. staff and management. I had the displeasure of hiring the MAC. The management are terrible with their director cutting our main item the event only 1 working day before the event! I believe their reasoning was racially mitovated as they blocked charity fundraising by a legit UK registered charity for orphans in another country. The staff were also unbelievable by refusing to put on a screen when we had paid for technical team. They also lied and stated they didnt receive iur media with timings i jad sent via email and instead I had to send them everything again minutes before the event started and then explain timings to change slides etc. This delayed the event for over 30 minutes and ruined entire programme. They never refunded me or even apologise. Never again.

Wow such an enjoyable experience saw *penguin lessons* 🐧 🤓 🏫 📏with Steve coogan after 7pm. Great atmosphere and vibe 🙃 so relaxed nobody cares what you're wearing or stares at you. Staff are great and polite, accomodating. I honestly expected a really small room for the screening but was surprisingly spacious and seats weren't bad. I think the £14 ones are recliner...Was my first time here and I I didn't expect to laugh at the adverts..I found myself laughing loudly. and honest nobody cared and I love that. My last visit to a cinema must have been December 2023!! I will visit again and got a quick peek at some of the exhibits there too.
Abby A — Google review
The exhibition just gets better and better every time I visit. Not only do they represent Birmingham holistically, they also exhibit themes about diversity in terms of age and race! Love it!
Anthr K — Google review
Modern facilities but soulless. The outside is an ugly mixture of unkempt functional architecture and brash, upbeat marketing decorations. Both the front and back entrance are not welcoming spaces, the latter from the car parks being quite narrow. The meeting rooms & suites, bar area and cafés look and feel up to date with everywhere looking smart and clean. A little too much so as the entire place lacks character or atmosphere leading to a sterile feeling. Display areas, even for the same exhibition, can spread out and one is in the small café making it awkward to see. Small corridors are also used not allowing the viewer to stand back from the display. The gift shop is stupidly expensive easily beating some London museums in pricing. The goods and books seem aimed at serious arty types and, although I'm one, I still wouldn't pay £7 for a fridge magnet. Parking can be a nightmare if there's more than one event on and impossible if there's a match at neighbouring Edgbaston Cricket ground. Be aware that the parking area is split into two so make sure you pay at the right pay station for where you've left your car. RingGo app works works well here though.
Glevum O — Google review
I read one of the reviews on here about this place being soulless...obviously everyone on here has an opinion that needs listening to but the sad fact is NO city/place (in my opinion) will ever get the funding for arts that London gets, so as humble as the MAC is and as pretentious as art can be on occasion..we have to support our local Art places. Anyway, the MAC is a great place to enjoy good food in a large, open stylish place. Cannon Hill park is worth a visit especially on a quiet day

Nestled in the heart of Birmingham, The Old Rep Theatre is a historic gem that has been captivating audiences since its inception in 1913. Originally the city's first repertory theatre, it boasts stunning period features and an intimate auditorium with nearly 400 seats, ensuring every performance feels personal. Over the years, this venue has seen illustrious talents like Sir Derek Jacobi make their debuts and has hosted groundbreaking productions directed by legends such as Peter Brook.
We visited as a group of six, the seats were very comfortable and had a great view of the stage. The drinks are standard pricing for a city theatre and lots of selection. The staff were friendly behind the bar. This is my first time at this venue, I would come back, it’s closer than any other theatre in Birmingham, to the train station (new st). It isn’t the biggest theatre but it does the job.
G W — Google review
First time at the Old Rep, short walk from New Station Station. Brought tickets at the door for the show - Piaf. First impression, small cosy, old fashion theatre. We sat the far back and we could see and hear the stage clearly. We didn't have anyone sitting in the row infront of us but I can imagine that they would partially obscure the view unlike at the New Rep theatre. Enjoyed the show, singing and dancing from an amateur production about the lifelong of Edith Piaf. No purchase from the confectionery counter.

Brilliant place when I was in primary school paganel I saw Charlie and the chocolate 🍫 factory that was brilliant lovely acted. Went recently to see the wizard of Oz so well acted well worth the money 💰 and get the audience involved as well toilets 🚻 big and clean plenty of disabled accessible links by train 🚆 and bus 🚌 outside staff friendly and helpful 😀

Next to the new Street station. Parking is available at the station or in nearby car parks. Friendly staff. Clean toilets. Clean theatre with galleried seats with good view of the stage. Not huge.

Great historic theatre. Friendly staff. Easy to get to being right next to New Street Station. Presents a wide range of productions by a range of different theatre companies. A great night out.

Beautiful venue. Was there for the Dolly church service and had a great time! Big ~300 seater theatre, lovely staff both FOH and BOH. Give it a visit, right next to the train station as well and beautiful place

Lovely experience during Birmingham heritage week. We had a lovely tour and talk with a afternoon tea on the stage. They adjusted to dietary needs as required.
Khaleda Q — Google review
Very old listed building. Beware there are no lifts if you are sitting in the balcony there are a lot of stairs to get there so unsuitable for someone with mobility issues. It's a great fitness work out getting to your seats. Seriously so many steps! Seating all though tiered doesn't work that well. I was in 2nd row in balcony see photos before and after people in 1st row took their seats. I think again this is due to the theatres age. Thankfully you don't need to go downstairs to the bathroom it's just up another couple of flights of stairs. However the 1 Toilet didn't flush and the 1 sink didn't work in the bathroom near the balcony in the male toilets. Staff are friendly.

Mailbox Birmingham is a renowned retail destination in the heart of the city, attracting those with a taste for luxury living and high-end shopping. It houses upscale brands like Harvey Nichols, Paul Smith, Hugo Boss, and Armani Collezioni, as well as offering exceptional dining options such as Marco Pierre White Steakhouse. The district is popular among fashion enthusiasts and interior design aficionados due to its mix of designer fashion stores and interior design outlets.
It is a lovely place with an enticing choice of cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed a coffee and toasties at the Black Sheep cafe. Advertised as 'coffee not just for girls'. It was a lovely tasty blend. It was very nice. Lovely service and plenty of seating .

I hadn't been here in years, as there are much better steak restaurants in the city now. Somebody wanted to see the great views. Adequate service, nice steaks. The food manager needs to check himself. He has some attitude. Lovely views from the corner table. I thought they would have dropped the £10 charge for sitting by the window 😃by now.

This is a stylish canalside hub that blends shopping, dining, leisure, and workspaces in the heart of the city. Once a Royal Mail sorting office, it now houses high-end stores like Harvey Nichols, the boutique Everyman Cinema, and the chic Malmaison Hotel. The BBC studios add prestige, while restaurants and cafés along the water create a relaxed, atmospheric vibe. Its sleek, contemporary design feels clean and welcoming, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The canalside views are especially memorable at night or during events. Whether for shopping, dining, or a hotel stay, the Mailbox offers something for everyone. It stands out as one of Birmingham’s most distinctive and elegant destinations.

Such a lovely spot with a great mix of cafés and restaurants to choose from. We stopped by the Black Sheep Café for coffee and toasties — their slogan, “coffee not just for girls,” made us smile. The coffee was delicious, really nice flavour, and the food hit the spot too. Friendly service and plenty of seating made it an easy, relaxed stop.

The Mailbox is a beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the city. There was some lovely live music playing during my visit, which created such a relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved watching the sunset over the canals—it’s absolutely breathtaking. The area is full of restaurants and bars, so you can enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the view. Whether for a casual evening or a special outing, The Mailbox is a must-visit in Birmingham.

Lovely drinks and selection of treats always so good. Sticky toffee banana cake was gluten free I think and was insane. Rocky Road also good and matcha was good
Alice P — Google review
The Mailbox in Birmingham is a truly exceptional destination that beautifully combines style, leisure, and a fantastic dining scene. It's a world away from a typical shopping centre, offering a sophisticated and tranquil experience right by the canal. The location is absolutely stunning, with the waterside setting creating a relaxed and elegant atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. The range of shops is superb, featuring a great mix of high-end brands and unique boutiques. However, what really stands out is the incredible selection of bars and restaurants. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch, a celebratory dinner, or just a cocktail with a view, you'll find an amazing choice of venues, each with its own distinct charm. The entire complex is impeccably maintained, and the team members are always welcoming and helpful. The Mailbox is more than just a place to shop and eat; it's a social hub and a brilliant place to spend a day or an evening. It's a real gem in the heart of the city.

A mailbox means everything in one at short. Really enjoyed a day out with my friend, just a few miles near walking distance to China town. Many different kind of cuisine available and pubs and bars. They even have a pub with arcade games inside. Luckily they have a dragon boat race and all of the teams are local and it is a 21 degree sunny day, really enjoy it. Free lovely mochi ice cream as well just for today, I think I am blessed.😋😋

Restaurant
Located in the heart of Birmingham, O2 Academy Birmingham is a legendary music venue with a 3,000 capacity hall where world-famous acts perform. In addition to hosting big names in the music industry, it also features two smaller rooms for lesser-known acts. The venue has undergone name changes over the years and has seen performances from renowned artists like Lana Del Rey and The Libertines as well as local talents.
Saw The Brogeals and The Latham's last night. All the staff members we came across were very helpful and friendly. Really appreciated the staff passing out water at the front of the stage as it got very hot. The security and ticket system on the way in was very smooth, just for visitors who don't have your ticket page open on the O2 App for ages as you'll need to refresh the page a few times before the tickets scan. As soon as the gig ended, staff checked on people sat down and were immediately tidying up. NPC car park is literally next door to the venue for anyone coming from far away. Sound was great for the gig as was the lightning. Overall a perfect night and venue!
Samantha S — Google review
I recently attended a gig at the O2 Academy Birmingham and had an absolutely brilliant night. The venue has a great vibe — intimate enough to feel connected to the performance, yet big enough to handle a solid crowd without feeling cramped. The sound quality was impressive; every instrument came through clearly, and the vocals were spot on, which really brought the energy of the night to life. The layout of the venue is smart, with decent views of the stage from most areas, and the tiered levels in the main room make it easier to see even if you’re not right at the front. The lighting setup added to the atmosphere, especially during high-energy tracks, and the acoustics made the whole experience even more immersive. Staff and security were professional, friendly, and handled everything smoothly — from ticket checks to helping people find their way around. Entry was well organized and the bar staff were quick, even at peak times, which is always appreciated at a packed show. Facilities were clean and well maintained, and the cloakroom was handy for storing jackets and bags. If I had to nitpick, the drinks were a little on the expensive side — not outrageous, but enough to notice. Still, that’s not unusual for live venues and didn’t take away from the night. Overall, the O2 Academy Birmingham is a top-tier venue for live music. It’s got everything you need for a great night out and consistently delivers a quality concert experience. I’ll definitely be back for more gigs.
Bazour ( — Google review
The O2 Academy in Birmingham is a well known venue for seeing shows, with a central city location making it easily accessible by car or train. Parking can be busy in the city so I recommend planning your parking in advance but there is plenty of choice. The venue itself isn't especially large and if you're less than six foot tall I'd recommend buying tickets in the stalls not in the main standing area. The venue is well managed and it's recommended as a great location to see a show on a fun night out.
Dr S — Google review
I've seen many of artists here and it's always been amazing. Great venue with easy viewing even from standing. Staff are always friendly and procedures in place to keep everyone safe.
Phoebe — Google review
Good music venue, two rooms. One with a balcony, which is better if like me, you need to sit down. However the second room has nowhere to sit, standing only, which can be a little awkward. Drinks are the usual mega expensive, so don’t be tempted to really drink, unless money isn’t a difficulty. First in the Queue for seats, none reserved, but they do let disabled in first for that reason. Sound quality good, and overall, a good venue.
Kerry N — Google review
O2 venues often get a bad rap. I like them. Been to this one many, many times. View is great from wherever. Sound can often be good. Staff are always pleasant. Sure we can complain about beer prices but 🤷🏻
Colin P — Google review
Super venue. Easy to get to. Watched Camera Obscura who put on a brilliant gig. I'd say 500 capacity in the hall which made it pretty intimate. Easy to get served and decent range of beers. 👌 Another top night at this venue to see The Flaming Lips-top drawer stuff!
Andy H — Google review
My daughter attended the Bach and Arthur Podcast last night and had prebooked seating in the accessible area. The young man (sorry I can't remember your name) who met her in the queue and supported through the event was amazing. He couldn't have done more to ensure she felt comfortable, from allowing her to queue in a quiet area to regularly checking in to see if she needed anything. Thank you so much - you made the evening a great experience for her.

The Ruin, located in Birmingham's Digbeth area, draws inspiration from Budapest's ruin bars. This cozy pub with a rustic decor and industrial street art offers an excellent beer selection and a popular Sunday roast. The venue has been a back street boozer since at least 1891 and has recently been revived by its landlord Rich. The eclectic decor, traditional ales, European-inspired food menu, and vintage-retro vibe make it stand out from the shiny new venues in the city.
Exceptional staff, amazing food, great prices, relaxed beer garden with chilled music :) 10/10. Sunday roast dinner pork belly was outstanding 😎

Big fan of this pub - drink here before and after most blues games. Staff are sound and you get a nice crowd and no trouble in there. Guinness is great and has a couple of nice lagers on tap. Fantastic roof top terrace when the suns out, lovely place to have a few scoops. Yet to try the food but always smells good, so may yet update this review once ive eaten there.

Been before , and had Sunday lunch twice before . Food was amazing ! However got to be honest and say last Sunday we were really disappointed. My pork wasn’t cooked enough . And was very very fatty . No cracking either . But my husband’s Beef was a shocking portion . Roast potatoes were delicious and so was all the veg and cauliflower cheese . Service was great and happy to give us apple sauce and gravy when asked . Felt deflated by the food . But absolutely love this pub . And will return . But maybe not for Sunday Lunch .

Very nice atmosphere, went there with some friends and sat in a cosy little nook. I enjoyed a coca cola with a fresh lemon wedge, very refreshing. Friendly staff, very attentive, would come again.

Came to the ruin without knowing what the place was, without a recommendation and only because the outdoor venue we planned to visit was called off due to the rain… SO glad that happened! Great atmosphere, great staff, extremely individual and the pop up food kitchen had the BEST beef tacos going and deserve a Permanent spot of their own! Music already on at midday with DJ’s through the Saturday!

my first time going out by myself as a woman (22y) in Birmingham and it's really a great place, I'm really happy with my choice of going here as my first place alone. it's safe, comfortable, fun, amazing kind staff, bartender was lovely. I suffer from social anxiety so it's hard for me to go out and enjoy my time somewhere out and The Ruin was perfect. I was up in the smoking area and it's really chill, good atmosphere and great! I'm not used to going out to drink but I had a Moscow Mule for 8 quid and for the amount of the drink and everything included I say it's a fair price but I'm not familiar with drink prices so I can't say confidently it's the best price out there but definitely worth it 👌👌 Thank you for a good first experience c:
