Argentinian restaurant

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Argentinian dining experience in Birmingham, look no further than Fiesta del Asado in Edgbaston. This charming restaurant boasts a stylish ambiance with dark wood tables and exposed brick walls, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The star of the show is undoubtedly their asado-style grilling, which imparts a unique smoky flavor to their meats.
So, I owe my wife 2 anniversary meals at a posh or fine dining establishment and finally after being recommended by my youngest brother we thought we’d try this Argentinian 🇦🇷 restaurant. We were pleased to find parking on the premises at the front and they have space at the back too. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who offered us any seat we wanted as we visited at the quiet lunch period as I had the day off from work too. There were a few other customers but it was nice to have a whole section to ourselves. After taking our seats - the waiter gave us the menu which also had a nice halal section and we were assured that the meat was cooked on a separate section to other meats. We went with the waiters recommendations on our main meals and we were very pleased with what we went for. We didn’t opt for any starters that day as the desserts sounded very appetising. My wife also went for a mocktails called Bonita which was refreshing and flavourful but a tad too much ice and I just went for a pint of Pepsi. And once the dessert came to the table brought by the chef, it tasted as well as it looked. Pricing of the food wasn’t too bad taking location and type of establishment into consideration - and even though I’m not a fan of discretionary service charges - the staff definitely deserved it today . The atmosphere and deco was also refreshing yet ambient.

I just had the most delicious dinner today. I had chicken tagliatelle with cream sauce mixed with blue cheese and paired it with a glass of prosecco rosè and it was just so perfect. Kudos to the chef. The food is great but what made my experience here excellent was the outstanding service of their staff, Soha and Abhi. From the moment I stepped in, they have just been so accommodating and welcoming. They made sure that I was well taken cared of and was always willing to help. They’re both superstars! Highly recommended this place!

Cristina was amazing and helped us choose our starters which were to die for! She was so sweet and not overly invasive but always made sure we were seen too. We love this place as it’s got such a friendly relaxed vibe with top quality food and service but Cristina went above and beyond for us. It was our 10 year anniversary and I even won a bottomless meal on a scratch gifted !

Fantastic place never fails to impress, we had a party of 6 to celebrate an 18th birthday, food was amazing, the best steak I have had since I came here last! Unbelievably good and impeccable service. A must visit restaurant. Thank you

Went for dinner and drinks with a friend on a bank holiday Monday as part of the Birmingham Food Festival. Received a warm welcome. The options on the menu were all tempting, presentation of food was beautiful. Recommend the pork belly, a generous portion cooked to crispy perfection. My friends steak looked equally as appetising, medium rare cooked perfectly. The show stopper for us was the homemade coffee ice cream that was served with the manchego cheesecake, amazing. This was the perfect setting for a much needed catch up for two friends. Massive thank you to our servers, Dani and Soha. 😊
Sarrena L — Google review
We came for a birthday celebration with our family and were so happy to be looked after by Soha again. She remembered us from our first visit and told us how lovely it was to have us back it really made the evening feel special. She was wonderful the entire time, attentive and warm, making sure everyone was happy. She recommended the fillet steak which was amazing and my son had the seabass. My grandson loved the beef empanada and chips, and his meal was generous. I tried the steak with Malbec sauce, and the chimichurri was a star! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, we’ll definitely be coming back!!

We had a wonderful Sunday roast experience at this restaurant. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. We began with the starters – the porcini croquettes were absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The chicken and leek empanada was to die for – perfectly seasoned and incredibly moreish. For mains, we tried a variety of roasts: sea bass, lamb, and pork belly. Each dish was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and full of rich, satisfying flavors. The quality of the food was outstanding and well worth it. A special mention must go to Christina, who provided impeccable service throughout our meal. She was truly delightful – warm, attentive, and her recommendations were spot on. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high-quality food, a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. A real gem for a Sunday meal out!

Steak house
Gaucho Birmingham is a restaurant in England that offers a diverse range of cuisine options, including various international influences such as Latin American, Italian, and Japanese. Despite being known for its steak, the restaurant also celebrates events like pancake day with unique pancake recipes created by their head chefs. Additionally, Gaucho welcomes dogs in their UK restaurants during specific hours, allowing patrons to enjoy Argentinian steaks accompanied by their furry companions.
My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday and I couldn’t have been more happier. The service was brilliant, as soon as we walked in, they took care of straight away. They showed us the different types of steak and recommended us, telling us the background of Argentina explaining how they get their steaks and it was very interesting as I’m a steak lover. The food was 10/10, it was brilliant filled with different flavours and cooked to perfection. I’ve never had a steak as good as gauchos, the atmosphere was authentic and aesthetic, it just makes it so much better. The manager George was great along side his colleague Raphael were brilliant during the evening, they took care of us and made my birthday dinner special. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to everyone and steak lovers. Great work!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome that instantly set the tone for the evening. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. The food was exceptional, every bite was cooked to perfection. The steak was one of the best I've ever had, tender, juicy, and full of flavour, the sides and starter was just as impressive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was spot-on, very relaxed, stylish, and ideal for a night out. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into creating a place where people feel comfortable and well looked after. Highly recommend this place to any steak lover (or food lover in general). I’ll definitely be coming back😊 🥩

I brought my mum here for her birthday meal and she said, and I quote, "that was the best steak I've ever had in a restaurant." I really wanted my mum to enjoy a steak cooked to *her* liking on her birthday, as regular restaurants burn it so this has deterred my mum from ordering steak when we eat out. Thankfully, Gaucho made her dreams come true. The ambience was serene; there were even musicians playing acoustic instrumentals of well known songs which was lovely to hear. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! Great portions, excellent flavours and everything cooked to perfection. I ordered the bass 🐟 which for me, was a little salty. But once I relayed this to my server, they cooked me another fish without issue and checked with me to ensure I was happy. The level of customer service is what I feel we should all be experiencing on a day-to-day and a *lot* of establishments could take a note out of Gaucho's book with that regard. Worth the price. Will eat here again.

We had a fantastic time celebrating a birthday, and I can't thank George and Raffaele enough for making it so special! The food and drinks were top-notch, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The service was spot-on too; everyone was friendly and attentive, which really enhanced our experience. The knowledge was also amazing, and we thank everyone for serving us with the utmost respect! We'll definitely be back for another visit soon!

We really enjoyed our visit on Friday. Cleibe was really attentive, friendly and helpful.. really great lad. The crispy prawn starters were wonderful...a great blend of spicy, mint and lime worked really well. And with the rump steak was excellent value for money. many thanks. We will be back
Rubin H — Google review
Visited for dinner today with my fiancée for her birthday, and it was bloody amazing. The food was very tasty - I had the prawns for the starter and rump steak for the main course and it was very delicious, cooked to perfection. There was a big selection of drinks, which were also very tasty, and the service was amazing. Thank you Tia for being so welcoming, kind and friendly, you really made it special for us. Will definitely recommend, thank you!

The weekday lunch menu is an incredibly good deal for the quality and service at Gaucho. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the allergens on each menu item, and was accommodating of the dietary requirements in our group. Wide selection of wines, which again the waiter was able to talk us through in detail.
Archie — Google review
I just happened to be walking past Gaucho and I only went in because of the lunch set menu sign outside. It was a Wednesday lunch time, so the place was quiet. Adriano looked after me very well. The prawn chicharron starter was very nice. The steak was lovely and the chips were ok. The rum-based pecan old fashioned was very nice.

Nestled on the 25th floor of the iconic Cube building, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill Birmingham offers a delightful blend of modern comfort food and stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. This chic eatery is perfect for those looking to indulge in a luxurious dining experience. The menu features an array of delectable options, including traditional Afternoon Tea served daily from noon until 5 PM.
I celebrated my 24th birthday at Marco Pierre White recently and I loved everything!! I ordered the sirloin steak (225g), it comes with chips but you can swap it for fries. I've got the peppercorn sauce, as well as mac and cheese and shared calamari with my friend. Food was great, the service was great and the restaurant is just beautiful, with elegant designs and so many nice places for pictures, not to mention the amazing rooftop views. They allow you to bring your own cake which is amazing, because some restaurants don't. They also brought me a nice little "Happy 24th birthday" plate at the end. Overall was a 10/10 experience and I will definitely go again ☺️
Adina S — Google review
Would not return nor would I recommend, there are better rooftop restaurants that provide a nice view for the same price with much better food (Orelle is an example which is only a 15 minutes walk from this restaurant) Atmosphere: Rooftop restaurant, atmosphere is nice and good songs played throughout the dinner. View is pleasant but charged £5 per person for a window seat (came to an extra £10). There is a bar section that plays different songs but this does not interfere with the dining area, seems to be quite lively with people even dancing. There is a smoking area that provides an amazing view too. Food: Halal steaks are available if you require this but it is only the fillets. Do not order the calamari below, it is extremely chewy, the batter is stale, the sauce has a weird test (I would rate this 0/10). Steaks are nicely cooked and the peppercorn sauce is good too, mushrooms had a bitter taste, spinach is okay but not reasoned well. Ordered a side of chips and onion rings to share, onion rings are huge and I ordinarily like this style but they were extremely oily, to the point it becomes uncomfortable to eat. Chips were thick cut but also very oily, I would not recommend either of the sides. The only nice thing ordered was the steak. Service: Service was professional but we had to call someone over to order which usually does not happen as waiters come over. We also had to wait a while to pay once the bill was received. Other than that the waiters were very nice.
Sarah S — Google review
The atmosphere was excellent and the staff made us feel really welcome. Our server in particular was genuinely friendly throughout. We were given a window seat at no extra cost, which added a lot to the experience, the view was brilliant. I ordered the mixed grill for one. The flavours were good, but the steak was overcooked rather than medium-rare as recommended. Because it was served in a skillet, there wasn’t much room to cut anything properly, and the oil gathering at the bottom made it feel a bit greasy. My partner had the fillet steak with king prawns. The quality was good, but the dish felt quite pricey considering it arrived as just the steak on a plate. Even a simple side salad would have gone a long way. We had to order this separately. Desserts were lovely, cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding, which are hard to fault. We also stayed for breakfast and that was very good with a good selection. Overall, we had an excellent visit. I’d recommend it and would return.
Richard C — Google review
The welcome was lovely and we were promptly taken to our table. My wife and I were conscious of the 2 hour table time limit so we're concerned that we had been seated for 10 minutes before we were able to order drinks. My wife and I both ordered the pate which was very tasty however I bit into something hard during the meal which I brought to the attention of the waitress who showed the manager. I wasn't going to make a fuss but I was disappointed that the duty manager didn't have the courtesy to acknowledge or speak to me regarding the issue. Both mains were well presented and tasted wonderful. Portion size was just right and both decided to have desert. My wife had cheese cake and I had the brownie both were great. Our waitress also presented my wife with a complimentary brownie as this meal was to celebrate her Birthday. When presented with the bill I asked for the discretionary service charge to be removed. The finalised bill was brought to the table by the manager who still couldn't manage to speak to me. The waiting staff are welcoming and very attentive however the manager needs to go on a hospitality course.

I had a fantastic meal recently and the service was exceptional. The crispy calamari with tartar sauce was delicious, and the fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Although I wasn’t offered a second drink during the meal, the atmosphere was still enjoyable. Just a heads up, it would be great if the voucher details were clearer when booking! Overall, a lovely dining experience and I’d definitely recommend it.

I just had the best night out! The food was top-notch, especially the fillet steak – cooked perfectly and just so tender. Our server Alex was a star, making everything special and memorable. The atmosphere was lively, the drinks were kept topped up, and the cleanliness was spot-on. Can’t wait to come back for another great experience!

I had a lovely afternoon out! The food was delicious, especially the liver pâté which was outstanding. Our drinks were regularly topped up during the bottomless brunch, and the service was spot on thanks to a brilliant waitress, even though I didn't catch her name. The atmosphere was great, but there were a few cleanliness issues in the toilets. Despite that, I'll definitely be back!

Service and Atmosphere fantastic. Food was stunning to the eye and in taste. However I feel like the cabbage was unwashed. (I don’t know if cabbage is supposed to be washed or not, but it shouldn’t have a black spot that may be a bug on it)

Really enjoyed the aged beef steak here, it was yummy. The set meal to me was more worth it, we could select more. Meats were cooked well, seafood was also done well, desserts were a little too overly sweet. Environment is nice and comfy, lighting is abit too dark, people are quite rowdy, but overall it’s nice.

Miller & Carter Mailbox is a fantastic spot for steak and cocktails if you’re in Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the team was warm and welcoming, making the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable. I didn’t have to wait long for my food everything was served promptly and with great attention to detail. I ordered the medium ribeye steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection, juicy, flavourful, and tender. I also had a cocktail called Strawberry Fields, with a touch of elderflower, and it was truly mind-blowing, refreshing and beautifully balanced. The table and surroundings were spotless, and the quality of the meat was very impressive. I would also like to give a special mention to Renee, who looked after my table with exceptional care and professionalism. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting Kiran, Ayush, and Atharva, members of the kitchen team, who were incredibly welcoming and clearly dedicated to delivering food to the highest standard. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Kobe Sizzlers is renowned for its dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience with fresh, high-quality meat and produce. With over three decades of expertise, the restaurant meticulously manages the quality of its beef from farm to plate, ensuring that all steak cuts are perfectly aged in a dry-aging chamber for up to 28 days.
Everything was excellent. A bit pricey i must say but then in the location where it is, the places are quite pricey. Amad looked after me and my two friends and he was superb. He took photos of us on my phone. He offered. Food was exceptional. No complaints at all. It was a meal for three blokes. I will go again, with my wife and children. Lovely atmosphere. The other staff were lovely too. All menu items are halal.

We ordered two ribeye sizzlers and two Mexican colas. The portions were generous, but the food was just okay-somewhat bland. We arrived without a reservation on a Sunday at 7:30 pm and were seated quickly. The service was decent, nothing exceptional. Overall, it’s not a bad spot, but it’s not one I’d go out of my way to visit.

The vibes in the restaurant was awesome, the food was great, Our server named Agatha was fantastic! She was attentive, and friendly, she advice us the best meal, and she was really caring about us if we have any allergies or anything they have to be aware of, and made great recommendations. The service really made our dining experience special. Thank you

PLEASE IGNORE TO DINE HERE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH AND READ COMMENTS AS THEY ARE EYE OPENER. DOESN,T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR. We went to dine on the 17th October 2024 at Kobe sizzler in Moseley B13 9EF Birmingham, to celebrate my daughter’s 13th Birthday. There were only 3 table seated and it was quiet night. My daughter was very excited to try lamb sizzler for the 1st time. And we all were looking forward to nice meal. Our bill was £85.70 and as per their suggestion we order/try it all. We ordered crispy chicken for starters, my husband ordered chicken sizzlers with schewan sauce, my daughter ordered lamb sizzler with peppercorn sauce, I ordered grilled burger and from kids menu chicken goujon for my 5year old son. (This was simple meal order yet the waiter got missed and gave wrong order when served) 1st of all I couldn’t finish my meal it’s was something odd about meal and I said to my family I can’t eat so left 3/4 of my burger. My husband ate all his food. My daughter left half as it was big meal for her as sizzler is a big size. My son only ate few bites and went to sleep. The next morning my family was feeling dull and as day went passed we were all ill my husband and my daughter are feeling super unwell. They both are feelings nausea, vomited twice, dizziness and had temperature. My husband had to return from work he was nauseating, chills and temperature kept going up. I was called from my daughter’s school to pick her up from school as she is dizzy and vomited at school. I feel dizzy and nauseous too thanks that I didn’t eat my food at restaurant. Also the ambulance had to be called as my family were sick. I had to raised a complaint letter to the restaurant on poor quality food service. We are very disappointed and concerned about our health at this point. All the symptoms that appearing were of FOOD POISONING. This has really spoiled our mood and sense of ourselves after the momentous day in our life. We have a family GP and he has advised the symptoms can last up to 7days. We were also holding a 13th birthday party tomorrow on Saturday the 19th of October but we had to postponed and cancel it. We didn’t hear back from the owner how they could help us or to discuss this situation. We are at disbelief that we came to nice restaurant to mark my daughter day but we were at complete shock and poor health condition. I have uploaded few pictures for your reference and for you to understand the how much food we had parcel it back and this morning it has all gone in bin Every guest should feel good and happy after a good meal at restaurant like yours but we almost packed all our food as I thought may be I could eat at home later in the night but I couldn’t. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED. As adult at a point we adjust to poor health but my daughter is sleeping and resting in her room whereas she should be enjoying her school and be excited about her party. Our complaint was not heard and I just wish we read the reviews here before dining. Also I did dine during Covid and had a good time then but it was horrible experience. I have rang the restaurant to discuss the matter but it only heard back from a lady who was denying that their food was wrong and till this day 28/10/24 I haven’t even received an apology from them.

I have been coming here for a few years now and it is known amongst my friends and family to be my absolute favourite! Any special occasion, this is the place I always pick. The steak is cooked to perfection and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The manager, Muj, has never failed to be hospitable. This last time I was waiting for my order, he gave complimentary drinks on the house. Definitely recommend Kobe Sizzlers and the crispy chicken here is a must!

starters were nice mains ok biscoff milkshake was absolutely terrible. staff was unprofessional they were eager to get us out we was really rushed despite the place was 60% empty they couldn't get rid of us quick enough, they kept interrupting us during the meal clearly while we was still trying to enjoy this mediocre meal.
Yas — Google review
Our food took much longer to come out than usual and when it did only two of the group had their food and everyone else had to wait for theirs despite us asking for everyone’s food to come out at the same time. After another five plus mins the rest of the food arrived. The steaks were provided but no steak knives and no member of staff came to see how the food was or if we needed anything else therefore we weren’t able to get anyone’s attention without leaving the table in order to ask for steak knives. We used butter knives to cut steaks for the first half of the meal!! Food was excellent though!!! Can’t fault the food just the customer service.

Bank is an elegant eatery with a sophisticated atmosphere and an outdoor seating area. This upscale brasserie-style restaurant offers a variety of delectable dishes, including pasta, seafood, and steak. In addition to their savory options, they also have a tempting selection of desserts. Bank Birmingham in stylish Brindley Place is the brainchild of Sarah, who has had success in the city's thriving food scene and managing establishments like The Crabmill at Henley in Arden.
What a great experience! I was a little uncertain given the odd review mentioning service problems with smaller groups. We were a table of 4 . My fears were quickly dispelled by a really good and well organised front of house team. We particularly liked Victoria’s attentive and charismatic charm throughout the evening. This was our first visit to Bank and we’re delighted with the menu. Really good starters in fact they were exceptional. Fish was tasty and beautifully cooked. We all enjoyed the cocktails and the setting over the canal was lovely. Personally I do think the meals are good value give the quality of the produce the presentation and location. We will have to return if we are in the area again but will have to try the other restaurants within the chain when possible. Thanks to the team for lovely evening. Well done Victoria and thanks for the truffles!

We visited last night and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing — we had the Duck Spring Rolls and Smoked Salmon to start, the Steak Experience for our main, and shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Californian Sauvignon red wine which paired perfectly with the meal. A special mention to Angelica, who looked after us all evening — she was friendly, helpful, and made us feel really welcome. Great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve come here many times before and always have great service - should’ve left reviews for those times so making sure I leave this for my recent visit on Saturday! The friend I was coming with is actually moving back to Australia so I wanted to sit out on the terrace (left a note on the booking) and the lady who greeted us was really helpful, she got us sat at the bar while we waited as it was full (not surprising as the sun was out) and then came to grab us within 10 minutes as she didn’t want us to miss the space - thank you! Our server on the terrace was Renee, she was a whole vibe! Absolutely loved her, it was honestly like talking to a friend from start to finish. I know that is part of her job, but it wasn’t like being served normally - it was like being out with the girls, but she was still professional of course! We didn’t wait too long for anything, and when one of the drinks did take a little longer she came over and let us know which was nice. Her section was very busy but she still made us feel like a priority! I honestly love people like this - just friendly, funny, and know how to have a laugh! Thank you for making my friends only experience so lovely, and I’ll of course be back soon! (THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT BTW!)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic meal at The Bank in Birmingham and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely superb — one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The steak was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, juicy, and tender — genuinely one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. The tempura prawns were also amazing, beautifully crisp on the outside and light and fresh on the inside. Every dish looked and tasted outstanding, showing real care and quality from the kitchen team. The service was just as impressive. Our server was friendly, efficient, and made us feel welcome right away. Drinks arrived quickly, and the team checked in at just the right times to make sure everything was spot on. The restaurant itself is stylish, comfortable, and has a great buzz — perfect for a relaxed evening out or a special occasion. The setting by the canal adds to the atmosphere, especially in the evening when the lights reflect off the water. Overall, The Bank is a real gem in Birmingham. Fantastic food, great service, and excellent value for the quality you get. We’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommended!

I had avoided dining here for years due to negative reviews and others’ experiences, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. My dinner here was thoroughly enjoyable. The food quality was exceptional, and the service was attentive and efficient, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. The atmosphere was sophisticated and intimate, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening. I would definitely go back.

We had a relaxed Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Sitting by the river view makes the whole experience feel peaceful and refreshing, a true escape from the bustle of the week. A special mention goes to Anj, the hostess, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was attentive, kind, and incredibly helpful—her thoughtful touches made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Came a few weeks ago for a friend birthday. We completely missread our booking time so was several hours early. Reception lady Holly sorted us out and ensured we still had a great time. I offered her a tip for sorting out big group out with no issues however she declined and offered to give it to one of the children in the party!!! Very kind staff. Also Alam was our waiter and he was amazing and so chatty and funny. He made our experience great. Will be back!!!!

I’m so glad there is a supermarket for all my Indian grocery needs. Otherwise I have to travel to Soho Road. I love that the store always has offers across the store, although it would be great on fresh veg too. The only criticism I can state is that the veg isn’t always fresh, on the countless times I have come in for fresh veg only I have had to go elsewhere to buy it. I rather just shop in one place and I’m sure you would appreciate the purchase too. If this can be looked into, that would amazing 🙂

Excellent, prices are reasonable, friendly staff, who actually say "hello " or "good morning ". Free customer parking if you register your vehicle. Only let down is that they sometimes don't have the herbs you need or they are a bit wilted.

CAU Steak Restaurant in Birmingham is a vibrant dining destination that showcases the rich flavors of Argentinian cuisine within an elegant setting. Known for its exceptional steak offerings, CAU presents a diverse selection of cuts, complemented by delicious sides and sauces that elevate the meal experience. The prices are reasonable, typically ranging from £10 to £20 for main dishes, with additional costs for starters and sides. Diners can also enjoy a variety of Argentine beverages, including unique beers and cocktails.
Amazing place! Honestly I was not expecting a lot, I thought it was just going to be lots of food, not necessarily good food, but I was wrong. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the smallest version of my stake and even then there really was a lot of it! Make sure you're hungry before you go, but it's worth it! The desserts were nice too, but watch out for the super rich flourless chocolate cake

Exploring around the canal area in Birmingham and was deciding what cuisine to try when we chanced on CAU an Argentina restaurant. We ordered the pork belly and hummus starter. Sorry didn't have time to take photos on that. The pork belly melt in the mouth, everything is tasty. Service is good, food is good too! Highly recommended.

Great venue for pre-concert meal. Well presented and tasty starters and desserts although the main event is the excellent steaks. The service was attentive, efficient and friendly and made our evening which was for a special wedding anniversary celebration. Well located for the Barclaycard Arena and much better than eating at the venue. Highly recommended.
Cliff G — Google review
A fine appreciation for the Argentine way of steak cooking, with a nice and varied choice of cuts available with typically good sides and sauces. Prices range from the £10 to £20 bracket for most items, so expect a quality akin to such prices. With sides and starters expect to add another ~£15 per person. Photos attached include the menu as of November 2017 and some items. Drinks include some Argentine choices of beer and cocktails as well. The restaurant is large and spacious enough, accepts bookings, and has heated outdoor seating for all season dining outside, should be be brave enough. Located in a nice traffic-quiet area, close to the Sea Life Centre, shopping centres, and canal walkways.

I really wanted to like this place, but I felt so let down by silly things. Firstly we went on a Sunday for Sunday dinner at 8pm, only to be told they had sold out of all three sunday dinner options. The Prosecco had sold out and so had the sparkling rosé. The food and service were lovely, but there was a random guy walking in and out of the kitchen with a hoodie on. I'm guessing he worked there, but if you have an open plan kitchen staff have to be mindful customers can see everything! The decor wasn't to my taste but I understand where they were going with the theme.
Yas M — Google review
We chose the fish dish. Fillet was small but overall good meal. Large glass of wine overpriced.
Ronnie W — Google review
Excellent food and service, especially for the price - we were blown away and it certainly surpassed expectations. The decor was a little odd, and quiet atmosphere on a Monday night to be expected. A lovely location, a little out the way, I'd definitely recommend it!

Came exactly per order - steaks done the way we asked for though one came with a slightly heavier sear but all still good. Chips were chef's kiss. Lovely team of staff and nice clean environment. It's a good place for a nice quiet dinner on a weekday, though we probably won't pay extra for the sauce next time because the steaks were tasty enough by themselves.

Bar + Block Steakhouse Review Bar + Block Steakhouse truly stands out as a gem in the dining scene. From the moment you step in, you're met with a welcoming and lively ambience that sets the tone for an exceptional experience. The star of the show here, of course, is the steak—perfectly cooked to order, tender, and packed with flavour. The menu offers a great variety of cuts and creative options, ensuring there’s something for every palate. But beyond the quality of food, what really makes Bar + Block shine is their outstanding service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring a memorable dining experience. Whether it's a recommendation on steak pairings or quickly addressing any special requests, the team is incredibly proactive and skilled. Some of the more prestigious, high-end restaurants could certainly take note from Bar + Block’s commitment to customer care and genuine hospitality. Overall, Bar + Block delivers an impressive combination of excellent food and top-tier service, making it a place you’ll want to visit time and again. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a great steakhouse experience with a relaxed but polished touch.

No problem with the food. It is actually really good. The problem is the length of time it takes to be served the food. I understand that it was busy tonight but overall it took over an hour and 15 minutes to receive dessert after my main. Received many verbal apologies from the staff but it took an awful length of time.

Stood waiting to be seated for a while despite four staff being nearby. Ordered food and a drink. They forgot the drink. Asked for sauce. They forgot that too and when I went up to the bar to ask again, was told ‘not to stand too close to the bar entrance’. Woeful. Staff training desperately needed. Steak was ok though. Onion rings oily.

While walking around Birmingham found this restaurant, looked very clean and inviting. We had the Sunday lunch, I had the beef and the wife had the chicken, and I must say the portions were a fantastic size and the pigs in blankets were out of this world. Very good price and the service was the best I have had, Zoe was friendly and approachable. The atmosphere were relaxed and not rushed which is something i really enjoyed. You could enjoy your meal at your own pace, I also liked the playlist they had on I will be revisiting again next time I head into brum.

Visited Miller & Carter at Resorts World Birmingham for lunch with a booking made in advance. The restaurant itself is lovely – bright and welcoming with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river, which makes for a really nice view while dining. The layout is clean and well thought out, making it a great spot for a date night or group meal if you're looking for something a little more upmarket. We were presented with the main menu on arrival, which had plenty of choice – not just for steak lovers but also good options for those who prefer other dishes. However, the lunchtime deal was being advertised outside the venue, yet we weren’t offered that menu initially and had to ask for it ourselves. As we were a larger group, there was a slight suspicion this may have been intentional, which felt a little off. For starters, I had the calamari – it was nice, though the portion size was very large. Next time, I’d prefer a focus on quality over quantity. For mains, I went with the rump steak (medium rare) with peppercorn sauce and a side of skinny fries. The steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious – definitely the highlight of the meal. Our server was fantastic – friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food arrived quickly and while generally good, I’d say it was average overall in terms of flavour and presentation. For the lunchtime menu price, it offered good value, but I wouldn’t be inclined to pay full price for the main menu based on the quality. Overall, I’d visit again – the atmosphere was really enjoyable, and the service was brilliant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service from Donna! I had a fantastic experience at Miller & Carter, made even better by the outstanding service from our waiter, Donna. She was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive from the moment we arrived. Donna took the time to explain the menu, checked in with perfect timing, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the entire evening. Fine dining restaurant
Opheem is a modern and luxurious Indian restaurant located on Summer Row in Birmingham. It is the first and only Indian Michelin-starred restaurant outside of the capital, with the distinction of being Birmingham's first restaurant to achieve two Michelin stars. The chef and owner, Aktar Islam, who hails from Birmingham, describes his culinary creations as a reflection of his inner creativity.
Amazing experience all round. A party of 4, we had the 10 course tasting menu with wine flight; all agreed it was the best tasting menu we ever had. It was full of gastronomical surprises with the infusion of delicately infused Indian flavours… just beautiful. The service, presentation and atmosphere was top class all round; we were even honoured to meet Aktar Islam who presented one of our dishes. If you’re looking for something truly special then this is the place!
Mar P — Google review
Opheem has an amazing and talented team of chefs. Each dish came with a unique experience and taste palette, not one repeated itself. We enjoyed all of our courses which were served in good time and we hope to return one day. We thought the range of courses would be very filling but they were the perfect amount of food.

Phenomenal restaurant - it’s a work of art really, the best Michelin restaurant I have ate in, it’s no surprise it’s 2 stars! Gorgeous interiors and mood lighting, you are taken into a lovely lounge area for a few starters and drinks before commencing to the main restaurant area! Both areas have visibility of the chefs and kitchen/preparation area which is fascinating to watch whilst eating! We did the 10-courses and I highly recommend it! So many beautiful and delicious dishes - I have no idea how they do it! Not a single disappointing dish on the menu! Make sure you come here starving as there’s so much food and portions are generous for fine dining! Beautiful puddings - the chocolates were delicious! I love the fusion of flavours and each dish being a dedicating to different parts of the Middle East and East Asia - just love it! Love this Indian restaurant! Highly recommend to try this place at least once in your life! Shoutout to the waiters Ezequiel and Shakira - they were both brilliant and chatty!

You can understand why this a double Michelin star restaurant when you visit. Service is friendly from all staff and the food really does live-up to and exceed expectations. We went for the 10-course tatsing menu which was preceded by some tasty snacks in the lounge area. The menu itself has a nice amount of variation in it and had some really tasty dishes: the badami korma and aloo tuk were particular favourites of mine and my partner loved the after eight style dessert. It’s pricey but if you enjoy your food then it’s worth it for a special treat.

Opheem is amazing! It truly is! The service is impeccable. The drinks are delicious. The food is perfect. I had wanted to visit for a long time and it did not disappoint. We went for an a la carte 3 course lunch and on top of this there were some snacks provided in the lounge before you are seated in the restaurant. The snacks were incredible, as was the lunch! In the resturant, the sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable - chatting to us about the up coming English sparkling wines. After lunch we returned to the lounge for petit fours - which like the rest of the food we had, were stunning, and paired these with a tasty cocktail. There are some classics (negroni, old fashioned - went down well after lunch!) and also some different cocktails (i triend one featuring chocolate wine and loved it). Then it was time to leave, all in i think our lunch experience took around 2 to 2 and a half hours.... and although I was perfectly full i didn't want to leave as I wanted to stay and try everything!
Lynette O — Google review
We went as a couple and travelled into the City centre by train to celebrate a special birthday. It was incredible from start to finish. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable but not intrusive. It started with relaxing drinks in the lounge inc treats followed by our 10 course taster menu in the restaurant and then further coffee and treats in the lounge to end our wonderful experience. It was great to see the chefs busy at work in the open kitchen and Aktar Islam actually came to your table with many of the courses personally and chatted with diners. The restaurant was full even on a lunchtime so you 100% need to book well in advance. We had a £100 voucher which softened the blow slightly but it is quite costly to dine here. My husband has eaten in many fine restaurants around the world but this one shone out for him as 'one' if not 'the' best. We'll be back for my Sisters 60th for sure ! Thankyou Opheem for a truly wonderful dining experience, one we will always remember.
Michele S — Google review
2 michelin star restaurant worth every penny. Staff is amazing and the food is incredible. Suggest the 10-course menù to taste every dish on their seasonal menù, with the pairing wine tasting too.
Giulia M — Google review
WOW. We were excited about visiting Opheem but nothing quite prepared us for what has been one of, if not the best meal out we’ve ever had. Previous Michelin starred experiences have been a bit pretentious and stuffy, but the staff at Opheem are exceptional; professional and incredibly knowledgeable whilst being able to have a human conversation and a laugh with them. Exceptionally attentive without being intrusive. The food, is as you’d expect and so much more. Snacks that will make you wonder how they pack so much flavour into such small morsels, and the things they can do with carrots should be illegal- definitely the stand out dish from the Tasting menu. But honestly, every course was a delight, and we didn’t want it to end! We will be returning, without a shadow of a doubt. Hats off to the team!

Lovely place with a great atmosphere. The food was good overall, and the meat in particular was delicious. However, we think it would be better if they went back to how it was before, when you could help yourself to sides and starters instead of waiting for them to be brought to the table sometimes the wait can be quite long. It would feel more like a classic rodizio that way. Everything we tried was tasty, and we still enjoyed our visit.

Fazenda never ever disappoints. My go to place for a special occasion. Food of the highest quality served in the most authentic surroundings by attentive staff. Went to celebrate a 30th with a newborn in the party of 6. Table located where we could accommodate the pram next to the table. Excellent changing facilities available so mom could relax and know her evening was going to be pleasant too. Unexpectedly they brought out cake with a candle for birthday boy. Margaritas were delicious. Buffet food was top notch with so much variety. The bill was going to be big but not unexpected for the quality of every part of that meal. You get what you pay for and we were all walking out with overly full bellies.

Beautiful food. I loved how they came and offered you different cuts of meat and they kept coming. All the meat was beautiful. The salad bar is much more then that. Great place which I will return to. Totally stuffed

Came to Fazenda with my fiancée for our 10th anniversary and had such a great time. We booked in for a lunch date, which we found was perfect timing as the restaurant had built up a nice atmosphere but wasn’t packed. We both went for the churrasco experience. Every cut of meat was cooked perfectly, bursting with flavour, and the salad bar had so many options. Our server Gosia was amazing, super friendly and made the whole meal feel really special. Very smiley and warm personality. She even surprised us with a complimentary glass of prosecco each to celebrate our occasion, such a lovely touch. Can’t fault a thing, great food, great service, great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Pub
The New Inn is a Victorian pub in the leafy Birmingham suburb of Harborne, with a contemporary look and a focus on hearty modern dishes, especially locally sourced steaks. It offers one of the largest beer gardens in Brum for sunny days and an extensive menu of cocktails. The traditional pub also hosts top-notch quiz nights on Wednesdays. Despite being busy, the staff are friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant experience for visitors.
Hadn’t been here for a while but popped in again a few weeks ago . Fantastic service , great selection of drinks and the food that we have tried so far has been very good . It’s a great place and really good VFM , they do specials through the week and some sort of loyalty card stamp for free drinks , bobble hats etc . Never been in a Joules brewery place before or tried any of their Ales but I’m now converted and look forward to sinking a few over the coming months 🤣🤣. All in all a great place and one that we will now continue to use . Keep up the good work and best of luck to all that work there for the future 👍👍.

Its hard to find the right blend of beer/atmosphere/tradition and food in pubs these days. But, here at The New Inn, Harborne, there seems to be harmony of purpose. Great beer (the excellent Joules Brewery), smashing atmosphere (Union Jack bunting being a good example and my favourite thing), really eye-catching and historic bar and interior, and seemingly delicious food (we didn't have anything but the 'smell' gives it away). So, all in all, a five out of five for The New Inn Harborne... we shall be going back. 🍺😊

Beautiful place, great beer and awesome staff. You genuinely can't ask for anything more. On a back road from Harborne High Street, this is the definition of a hidden gem. The music on Saturdays is just the cherry on top of an already perfect spot. Big shoutout to the bar team, especially Alex and Connor, both of which are super chill and add a lot to the already great character of the place. Huge outdoor space too, so looks like somewhere I'll be including in my regular hangout spots.

Famished after a long drive , my partner and I were ready for some pub grub that would warm our insides. We stumbled upon the New Inn in Harborne through a Google search, sadly our first impressions were less than appetizing. Being new in town we assumed the pub had parking but we had missed it . We decided to give them a call and ask for some help. Unfortunately, an unhelpful lady answered the phone, told us there was no parking available and didn't offer any alternative solutions and hung up . With our hunger leading the way, we conquered the parking situation and briskly marched on to the pub undeterred by this lady’s attitude. Now, unless this pub has a monopoly on unpleasant female staff members , I assume we were unlucky enough to encounter the same lady who answered the phone when we finally arrived. Her general demeanour was off-putting , she was as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. She stood there, not uttering a word while we ordered food from a menu that had already stopped being served, before informing us that none of our order was available. Thankfully, a friendly male staff member, recognised our need for assistance and stepped in to explain the menu and pointed out which meals were still available. The pub itself was an igloo, but we managed to keep warm by leaving our coats on . It's possible that they turned off the heating to save on energy costs, understandable giving the current crisis we all face. Despite the negative first impressions, the food , when it arrived was the shining star of the New Inn. The bangers and mash and ale pie were delicious . Absolutely the best !!! ⭐️🌟🌟🌟🌟5 stars all day long ,also reasonably priced . The pub interior is clean and well presented , the toilets are on the ground floor , modern , also very clean and well maintained We'll be returning to the New Inn , but we'll make sure to dress for sub-zero temperatures and hope to avoid the unpleasant lady. The food is worth the risk of frostbite.

Couldn't sit and eat outside, which was a bit odd, but hey it's their place, their rules. Had a loaded fries and a burger. Loaded fries were fine. Burger was small (not worth £13.50), had onion chutney on, as advertised, but then also randomly had an extra pot on the side. Chips with the burger were cold and so had to be remade. Staff polite enough.

"The Red Lion" is a Victorian pub located in the heart of Jewellery Quarter. It has been modernized with contemporary art and features large screens for football enthusiasts. The pub offers hearty meals and a selection of real ales on tap. Upstairs, there are occasional events and DJs, making it music-oriented. Additionally, there is a small beer garden at the back, providing a secluded spot to bask in the midday sun.
Fab Sunday roast, my dad loves coming with us here for a drink and a meal. We booked ahead and had roughly an hour slot for the table, with the option to finish drinks downstairs which worked well for us. Food was brilliant, great mix of seasonal veg, all the meat (between us we had the lamb, beef and pork) was beautifully cooked and importantly, the Yorkshire puds were fab.
Lizzy A — Google review
Their Sunday roast food is top tier 👌 only downside is that the price is just rocket up too high! It used to be our Sunday choice place to go, but we now think it's time to change since last time. Our bill for two was almost £70 with a juice and half pint.

Great meal…. Not the cheapest but definitely amazing quality. The old adage of get what you pay for 😍 lovely staff and the owner gave us a mini tour and made us all very welcome. Had the Sunday roast (takeaway containers available as they offer a healthy and tasty portion) will definitely be returning !

Thank you Reagan for an excellent Sunday roast. We had a wonderful time talking to you during supper. And, letting me pull my own beer was an exceptional experience.

Food is delicious and servings are very decent, you won't be disappointed. I especially liked the variety of roasts on the menu. Only criticism is the actual decor is a bit run down, we thought we had the wrong place, it just felt dated. It wasn't full but we assumed it was related to the football finals. We were sat in the bar area and didn't see the rest but in general felt dated. I had the lamb and beef combo, I didn't finish it

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Booked for a Sunday Lunch for 7 for a milestone birthday (Happy 80th birthday Ma). Booking straight-forward and confirmed dietary requirements for one (coeliac) of the party. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and good for a bit of banter. One guest had the roast rolled shoulder of lamb which was described as phenomenally good. Two had the roast beef - both were very happy with their decision and extremely satisfied. There was a vegan sausage roast which got demolished. The birthday girl was more than satisfied with a kids roast chicken dinner (which would probably satisfy many adults). Yours truly doubled up with roast chicken and pork. The chicken was ridiculously good, some crispy skin and beautifully succulent. The pork was sensational with the most amazing crackling. Nobody in the party was interested in desserts as the dinners were so, so good and filling. The roast dinners were unbelievably good value for money. The veg was spot on and there was more than enough served up. Will I book again? Absolutely if it fits in with plans. Would I recommend? Abso-bloody-lutely. As we went on a Sunday there was plenty of free on-street parking nearby. Good work The Red Lion - from one very satisfied punter and his family.

I came across this place by chance on instagram and I’m glad I did. The only item I tried from the menu was the ribeye steak sando. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, the sando was fully loaded, had the right amount of cheese and had the perfect amount of chimichurri sauce inside. It was absolutely mind blowing and I will definitely be making the trip to Birmingham once again just to have this sando!

It's such a lovely restaurant. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food was great. Fresh and very tasty. We did not have to wait long for our food. Ribeye Sandwich not up to the standards you would expect for £17. No seasoning, left all the fat on the meat, tastless without any sauce, would even question if it was even quality ribeye steak.

went here for a family meal and it was superb. We started with loaded nachos which were really good but served on a sizzler. Just a normal plate or bowl wouldve been better in my opinion. The steaks were very tasty and melted in the mouth. The sauces were all excellent too. fries were good and the mocktails were prob the best ive had. Service was great and food was served at a reasonable pace.

You just can't fault Fargos Does exactly what it says "on the tin" Fresh Food! Quality Ingredients and super chef Zak! The staff are always attentive and always looking to make sure you and your family are well looked after. Very rare for a restaurant to tick all the boxes but they have absolutely demonstrated what good food and flavours are all about and always innovating to change up the menu. They just don't stand still. In addition to this it is reasonably priced. In a world where food prices have increased they have done their best to keep prices affordable and competitive. The steak pictured is coming soon and there will be a Porterhouse option coming soon too. Will be back again...and again and again!

Noel’s Bar and Restaurant is a lavish canalside establishment offering a stylish setting to enjoy cocktails, Mediterranean cuisine, and afternoon tea. The restaurant features an ever-changing bottomless set lunch with options for two or three courses, including dishes like goats cheese mousse and porcini risotto. The bottomless booze options include prosecco and a variety of cocktails.
We couldn’t thank them enough! We came in today to celebrate our anniversary and were treated to an incredible afternoon tea. We had originally planned a weekend away, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to reschedule. I called Noel this morning and was assisted by Monia over the phone—she was understanding, patient, and wonderfully polite. My wife had her heart set on afternoon tea, and even though bookings usually require 24 hours’ notice, they kindly accommodated us and prepared a fantastic vegetarian afternoon tea. The venue itself is beautiful, with a lovely location, a welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, and beautifully presented, delicious food. We are truly grateful and will definitely return with family and friends. A well-deserved 5 stars!

We went on a Wednesday evening (7-10pm) so it was quite empty. We had the view of the canal which was nice. The decor is absolutely stunning as a the toilets although they could’ve done with some regular cleaning. The food was good, although it would’ve been nice to have desserts, I didn’t see any on the menu. The mocktails were really nice too. It came up to £110 for 2 of us (2 starters, 2 mains, 3 drinks). The food took a while to come out though otherwise, the staff were really nice and polite

Absolutely blown away by this place. The decor is smart. The restaurant is warm and clean. The toilets are maintained. As soon as we walked in, the staff were so polite and friendly. We were seated immediately. Shout out to Laila for her fantastic service. As usual I go for the caviar, unfortunately the one I wanted wasn't available. Fortunately I had an upgrade to a better caviar of the same size. My night was made!!!! The food was stunning! Just delicious! Every single course was to die for! The steak, the Tartare, the oysters, the caviar, scallops, all just PERFECT. I can't rate this place enough. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Noels Bar – Best Italian Restaurant in Birmingham! Noels is hands down the best Italian fine dining spot in Birmingham. It’s a shame the location isn’t more central because I truly believe more people need to discover this hidden gem. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was elegant, and the service from Wicktoria was outstanding – she made the whole experience for my mom even more special. Highly recommend!

We were coming to a concert in Birmingham and planned somewhere to eat. Noels sounded just right; pleasant location next to the canal and the menu looked enticing. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is light and airy in a sophisticated way, the waiters were fabulously helpful and pleasant and the food was stunningly good. It was a more expensive restaurant than we might usually go to but it was worth it as an exceptional experience. While we were expecting our table to be available for an hour and a half, we were able to stay for over 2 hours. Our waiter checked when it was needed so we knew how to pace ourselves. They do charge for service (not stated as voluntary) but the service was very good. We had appetisers of olives and bruschetta followed by the best rib eye steak ever with perfectly crisp and tasty chips . My companion had rump of lamb which she declared as delicious. These were accompanied by a lovely bottle of Italian primitivo. We finished witt the most perfect puddings ever; an apple / chocolate mousse and a mixed fresh fruit tart, with coffee to conclude. If you are in Birmingham and want a stunning meal then we wholeheartedly recommend Noels.

Bun & Steak is a relaxed dining option that offers a variety of delicious grilled meats, including steaks, burgers, and fried chicken sandwiches. They also provide convenient delivery services. This establishment prides itself on serving top-notch beef in Birmingham and has put in extensive research to ensure quality. The restaurant creates the perfect ambiance for a modern steakhouse experience. Customers rave about their delectable rack of ribs with an amazing barbecue flavor and tender meat that easily falls off the bone.
Highly reccomend this place! I've been here about 4 times now and have been happy with the food and service each time. I've tried both the burgers and steaks and have never been disappointed with the food I order. The nachos are amazing and they kids meal is a very generous size and I like that they provide real meat burgers for children rather than the standard processed chicken nuggets/ fish fingers and chips option. (Edited) 3 years on from when I last reviewed this place I’d like to say I still throughly enjoy eating here and have gone on so many occasions with family and friends who have all also loved this place. Their service is still just as amazing, the staff are friendly and very accommodating. I think the location is great there is always parking near by. You can never go wrong with bun and steak!

Revisiting this place after 2 years and unfortunately on this occasion I was disappointed with the food. Service and atmosphere; staff were attentive and informative and atmosphere was pleasant. Ordered dynamite prawns and bbq beef ribs for starters, then went for the mixed option on the Philly steak as mains. Unfortunately the dynamite prawns were not what I was expecting as I have had these from other restaurants and they were completely different to what I was served here, and it tasted rather cheap… However the bbq beef ribs were the star dish in my opinion as they were very tender and literally fell off the bone. Moving onto the mains, the Philly cheese steak. Now this was not nice at all, the meat was dry, the bread was very lightly toasted on the inside with green peppers and with what looked like Monterey Jack Cheese (which wasn’t melted down, but just placed on top of the bread). The bread was smothered with mayonnaise and broke down with every bite taken- just not enjoyable. Overall I would say that I won’t be returning, due to the quality of food received today.

Had some great food tonight. The food was quality. The chicken wings and lamb chops were of a very good quality. You could just tell how good they were from the very first bite. We were served promptly and had food on our table within 25 mins of ordering and it came out piping hot! This place is way better than TruBurger/Rios, patties were thick and juicy. Salads were fresh. Thoroughly impressed. And £8-£11 per bun. For anyone visiting, it’s mainly full of 20-35 year old people. Family friendly and sound waiters. Planning to go back soon to try the steaks!
Evo — Google review
Still early days so may improve with time. The decor is fairly typical of most burger joints with an industrial copper theme look being attempted. The burgers appeared to be reasonably priced but difficult to choose between them because the descriptions didn't say very much about what they were. So we tried the Mega mix as this is self explanatory. For the £10 this was certainly too small. It tasted ok but readily the filling fell out. The cheese was a strong flavoured cheese which some people may not like. The gourmet chips had an interesting groove in them presumably to load them easier with sauces etc. Do need to try the steaks and burgers to make a more complete assessment. Some promising signs, but I do have some doubts.
Abdus S — Google review
Ok so it's an amazing place, good was awesome and employees were nice too. It was surprisingly empty which is rather unfortunate because they most definitely serve great food. I would highly recommend going to this place because it doesn't make your wallet cry unlike other places. I had the notorious bun which satisfied my taste buds with the overall texture of the beef patty and the sauces which created this overall wonderful experience in my mouth. Please visit bun and steak because they definitely have good buns (I haven't tried the steak yet).
ES — Google review
Looked at the reviews and went to this place about a month ago with my family members. The food was quite disappointing to be honest. The beef ribs were cold and had no flavour other than the sauce on top. The Philly cheese steak tasted alright but again was cold when it arrived. The chicken steak was dry. Only the burger tasted alright out of everything. I had to go and ask for a couple of things at the counter including the bill at the end, which was quite disappointing, considering the restaurant was not busy at all.
Maitham R — Google review
I love coming here when I visit from London. Their ribs are beautifully cooked and so soft they simply fall off the bone. Sides are nice. The burgers are pretty average, although good quality beef they have more of a five guys quality to them than what you'd expect from a gourmet burger place. But it's not a huge issue as they still taste very good. Highly recommended.

De La Vies restaurant offers a fabulous dining experience that is memorable and highly recommended. The steak, cooked with charcoal, is particularly noteworthy for its succulent and flavorful taste that lingers even after leaving the restaurant. The cocktails, expertly crafted by Nathaniel, are a great addition to the overall dining experience. The attentive service provided by the host Dogun and the friendly young lady on shift further enhances the memorable atmosphere of De La Vies.
My wife and I recently dined there, and it was an unforgettable experience. We tried the Spaghetti Arrabbiata and the T-Bone Steak, and let me tell you, the steak was one of the best I’ve ever had—juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere at De La Vies is truly elegant, with a touch of modern sophistication that makes you feel special as soon as you walk in. Without a doubt this is currently my favourite steak house in Birmingham. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. The staff are very professional, friendly and attentive. The food is all delicious but when it comes to the steaks, all different cuts are out of this world!!! always cooked to perfection and with a delicious grill flavour. All food and drinks are also reasonably priced which makes De las Vies a “must go” restaurant for all meat lovers.

Having traveled over 4 hours to get to Birmingham to eat at De La Vies I was met with huge disappointment. I had heard so much hype regarding the steak but as you can see from my pictures, there needs to be less tambourine playing and more tomahawk cooking, well I ordered a medium rare but was given overcooked steak. We waited over 2 hours to get my food, I entered the restaurant at 7:30 and am currently still sitting here waiting for my dessert and it is now 10:30

Very disappointed. I have been to quite a few Spa days and this is by far the worst one I have been to. When you think of a Spa, you think of elegance. This unfortunately was far from elegant. If you did not know better you would think that you were in your local council leisure centre. In addition to this the ladies toilets and changing rooms were out of action so we had to use the men’s toilets and changing rooms. Unfortunately the smell in the men’s toilets was awful. In addition to this, in other Spa’s I have been to you at least normally see some of their products in the changing rooms, such as hand lotion and body lotion, not at this Spa. At previous Spa resorts I have found that one of the most relaxing places is the quiet relaxation room. Unfortunately there is not one here. There is a room where you can relax but due to the fact that it is also the room where you wait for your treatment then it is by far from quiet and relaxing as there is so many people coming and going and names are constantly being called out by staff. The lunch was adequate although nothing like any other Spa days I have had and I nearly died when they charged me £16.50 for one glass of wine!!! The only real highlight of the day, apart from enjoying my friend’s company was the treatments that I had from Candy who was excellent and a credit to the facility. I am sorry but I will definitely not be coming back.

Stayed over here on the 19th October. I was surprised at how busy it was upon arrival however getting checked in was really quick. Staff were friendly and talked us through where our meal and breakfast would be. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the Jacklin House area, easy to get to via stairs or the lift. Great size room, nice, clean and fresh. Appeared to be no air conditioning however there was a fan but that was pretty grim, I don't think it had been cleaned for a long time! Really comfy bed, good lighting, nice size TV. Bathroom was also a good size and the shower was spot on. Noise level at night was not great, we got woke up by a very loud couple or group of people at 01:30am!!! No respect for anyone else who may have been asleep. We chose the 3 course Sunday buffet which was amazing, again very busy but only had to wait a few mins to get shown to our table. Plent of variety for sure and was all very tasty. Breakfast the next day was again really busy but got our table straight away. Lots to choose from for sure, all very nice. A brilliant experience and highly recommended.

We had a really enjoyable stay at The Belfry. The spa and treatments were fantastic — very relaxing and well organised. The food was fabulous, and the new leisure centre building was a great addition. We especially loved the outdoor jacuzzi with its lovely view over the golf course — such a beautiful setting. Overall, the environment and atmosphere were excellent. One point of disappointment was that we were allocated a disabled room, which meant that an accessible room wasn’t available for someone who might have needed it. Additionally, the shower in our room was leaking quite badly. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

I recently went here for a spa day having visited 4 times last year for a conference. I would agree with previous reviews on the rooms. In the old part of the hotel (haven’t experienced the new wing yet) the rooms are adequate but not 4 star. Beds I found quite uncomfortable - the rooms are quite small and dark. More 3 than 4 star. Hopefully this is different in the new wing. The Spa was a mixed experience. I agree with previous review - I saw only one private area for changing - I felt like I was back at school and don’t really enjoy getting naked in front of strangers or even friends if I’m honest. The place was very busy - we took the last 3 beds by the pool. And the Fire and Ice experience was also busy but enjoyable. There was no-one to show us around or explain it so we worked it out ourselves. Food and service in the restaurant was lovely as were the treatments. Maisie was great. Would come again.

We had an absolutely amazing afternoon tea at the Belfry, we chose the Pink Afternoon tea and was served by Alyson and Michelle. The food was fresh, warm and the tea selection was endless. The service went above and beyond, we were not rushed and nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel so welcome. This was our first visit and we felt like we were part of the family from the moment we walked in. Would highly recommend enjoying the Pink Afternoon tea at The Belfry, we will definitely be coming back.

Had a really lovely afternoon tea today for Breast cancer awareness. The food was absolutely wonderful, and the service we received from Alyson and Michelle was amazing. They were very attentive, kept reassuring us we could stay as long as we wanted, made sure we had as many drinks refills as we wanted, and were so brilliant with my 6 year old son. Really enjoyed our afternoon, thank you.

Been coming here since I was a kid—place is proper family-friendly. Got the Toro special and ribeye, both cooked to perfection with amazing flavour and spices. Rice was on point too. The waiter was super helpful and chill. There’s a decent prayer space at the back. The toilet was alright, but one tap and sink’s broken. Bit annoying they don’t take card—had to pop out for cash. Still love the food though! Hit the spot nicely 👌🏻

The food, place & service was amazing! I don’t usually eat steak and it was one of the best I’ve had! Highly recommend! Madiha, served us during our time there, she was so lovely and helpful!

Went toros after a long time the portion size was a joke. Gave me basically half empty snizzler which I find cheeky for the price you’re paying. I asked the guy who served our food that he’s giving me Half an empty sizzlers he told me he would call someone to a sort it out he ignored me. See attached bed image below it’s a joke. Won’t be coming again!

I had such a great experience at Toros thanks to Hiba! She was so welcoming, attentive and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. Her service was friendly and professional, and she went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. The food was amazing as always, but Hiba’s warm attitude really made the experience stand out. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!

I had such a great experience at Toros Steakhouse Birmingham! The food was absolutely delicious and arrived hot and quickly — everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. What really made our visit extra special was the service. Our server Amlak was amazing from start to finish — so friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed and created such a lovely atmosphere for us. Also a quick thank you to Hanneen who was helpful and sweet too! Overall a brilliant dining experience — definitely recommend and will be coming back soon!

Food was below par. The chicken was dry and was lukewarm when served. The nachos were literally thrown onto the plate with cheese barely melted on it. When we asked for it to be cooked more we were told that wasn’t possible as that is how it was served. Very poor customer service no one came up to us to see how our meal was and had to wait for ages when we did try and call a waiter. Manager was rude when issues with food was relayed to him. Definitely would not recommend to friends and family or return.

If you're on the lookout for a casual and family-friendly dining experience, Grillz Steakhouse is definitely worth a visit. This charming eatery specializes in grilled meats, poultry, and seafood, all served in a relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for gatherings with friends or family. Many patrons rave about the delicious food and commend the attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome.
Grillz is always been that restaurant to go to for special occasion in my family, their food is always great (Taste wise, Portions wise they could do better), staffs are friendly and knows what they are doing. Have prayer room which is a big plus, its better to reserve a table if you are taking more than 4 people. Also they don’t accept card payments and we all know why 🤷🏻‍♂️, there is cash right around the corner by Slams burger though. Other than this is a great place to eat.

Hi guys, So I visited this restaurant as I’ve been here before and just like before the food was amazing. In the picture you can see I ordered a fillet rare on the sizzler and it was so good. If you love steak come here it is your place. The only downside was service. It’s really poor and it needs to be better. My waiter could not hear anything that we said. As I said and will keep mention the food was amazing even the lively sides. We ordered the special salad and it’s supposed to have olives and cucumbers but we did not received that so after telling him he took it of the pill and gave a discount. If you like steak I would recommend coming here
Isa S — Google review
The food was amazing, اللهم بارك. I ordered the T-Bone steak with pasta and mushroom sauce and it was all spot on. Full of flavour, cooked perfectly, and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive. Props to the waiters Magd, Ibrahim, Zain and Obi for their top-tier hospitality. They really elevated the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It is 100% worth trying out and you will not regret it !!

I booked the grillz private room for an event and it was a really good experience, the room was nice and aesthetic and private which was ideal. The staff were very accommodating and polite Food and drinks were really good and everybody enjoyed it. I Would definitely recommend and visit again. Thanks to all the staff for making out event enjoyable. :)
Maria B — Google review
My recent visit to Grillz Steakhouse on Ladypool Road left much to be desired, particularly in terms of service. The waiting staff were noticeably inattentive, often congregating near the bar and chatting loudly rather than attending to diners. There was little effort made to explain the menu or make recommendations—everything was simply labelled a “special” or a “favourite,” with no real enthusiasm behind it. The restaurant operates on a cash-only basis. To make matters worse, we were short-changed at the end of the meal, the staff casually dismissed the missing amount—even if it was just 5p, it was treated as a tip without consent. On the food front, the experience was mixed. The grilled chicken stood out as a highlight—well-cooked and flavorful. The fries and naan were also enjoyable. However, the pasta dish was a disappointment, drowning in oil, and the spicy rice was unexpectedly bland. We had to ask twice for a simple jug of water, and even basic items like plates had to be requested. When they arrived, the plates were noticeably small, adding to the inconvenience. Halal No parking Cash only

Very lovely food and good portion sizes. My go to is normally torros - but the steak size was a lot bigger than what i get from there. Ordered; ribeye sizzler steak. Mac n cheese. Lamb ribs and 2 drinks. Totalling to just under 50. But would definitely go again. Picked myself up a loyalty card too at the end - as i definitely plan to come here again. Served by boy called zain and another gentleman who i didnt get the name of. Very polite and patient - and both were communicating very nicely. Thank you for the lovely service. Will definitely be coming again.

This is one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of going to - The wait was not long at all, and the atmosphere was one of the best I've experienced And the food was amazing and well priced - will definitely be coming again The waiters went above and beyond to make sure we as a family were comfortable There is nothing I can fault - the service was so good that I even left a tip which I have never done before Keep up the good work and food guys

Restaurant
Toro’s Steakhouse is a fantastic dining destination that promises an enjoyable experience, especially on a weekday evening when it starts off quieter and gradually fills up. The food here is nothing short of exceptional, with dishes like the ribeye steak being perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Guests rave about the generous portion sizes compared to other locations, making it a satisfying choice for families or groups. While prices may be slightly higher than average, the quality of both food and service justifies it.
I highly recommend this place. You do have to pay for parking as it is pay and display, however it is in a very good location next to the light cinema. Amazing service, the lady who came over was very accommodating and asked us where we would like to be seated, the restaurant is very spacious and has lots of seating. She asked us to order our drinks and bought them quite quickly. The waitress was also lovely who came and took our order. They were both very attentive, came over several times to ask if we needed anything else, was such a nice dining experience and nice atmosphere. The starters and mains we ordered were 10/10 all the food came out hot and was so delicious, we really enjoyed the sharing platter as we tried a few different things and the lamb steak was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning!!

Great place had a great time was quiet when we went on a weekday evening but started getting busier as the evening went on. Food was cooked to perfection! Drinks were amazing maybe next time we would have gotten two different drinks so we could try something else but still very tasty. And the most important thing is that it was filling. Prices are a bit higher than I’d have liked but it’s getting like that everywhere. Staff were attentive and polite and food was given quite quickly. Don’t forget to pay for parking signage is around the car park and not too badly priced either. Enjoy!!!

Ok so as an american I would know what a philly cheese steak is so i am going to try and not judge but this philly cheese was very innacurate. The one i got was spicy, lacking cheese, and had peppers when i said only onions and cheese. Its a philly CHEESE the amount of cheese to peppers ratio was insane knowing as I asked specifially for cheese and onion not peppers and no cheese? Anyways the servers were not very attentive and did not check up on us at all. Had to get attention to complain about the philly. When i got a new one it had about one slice of cheese and was still lacking, also still spicy. Did not follow directions again. Then did not get served a fork with it! Sisters steak was rare when asked for medium rare. Pina colada was alright and atmosphere is fine. Had to pay for parking.
Jem — Google review
Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience due to the server's attitude and lack of basic customer service (it was white women). When we ordered our food, the waitress never asked if we wanted soft drinks with our meal or beforehand. She brought the drinks right away, and when we politely mentioned that we would prefer to have them served with the food, she refused to replace them or bring fresh ones. Instead, she said she’d just "put them on the counter" and bring them back later—meaning we’d be drinking watered-down, warm beverages. It was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful to be told outright that they won’t replace drinks that were brought too early because of their mistake. Then, the steaks were served without any cutlery. We had to ask for it ourselves, and even after that, no one came by to check if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. We felt completely ignored for the rest of the meal. Overall, the experience felt careless and cold, and it definitely took away from what should have been a nice dinner out. This kind of service is not acceptable, especially in a restaurant where you're paying for a pleasant dining experience. We expected better and hope the management takes this feedback seriously.

Went toro’s steakhouse with family its sapcious plenty space for sitting. We ordered different sizzlers. I ordered rib eye steak and its was delicious perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I found the portion size are bigger tahn the ladypool road branch. Overall food was very good and we enjoyed the evening. Brillaint customer service and staff very helpful. You must book a table beforehand because its get busier in the evening.

Jamious D — Google review
It’s a cute steakhouse sort of eatery near the light cinema. The decorations and dim lighting is certainly romantic. However it’s Jam packed, the seats are entirely too close. You can hear other’s conversations. I didn’t like being so close to people. The wait staff were nice, except this once lady that kept coming by to ask if I was done with my menu. I found that annoying and rude. After I explained 3 times already I am stilling ordering additional food. I felt rushed. As for the food I ordered the Cafe de Paris steak Medium well, I received an overly well done steak that was tough to chew. But the garlic sauce was delicious. I would ask for extra sauce as it wasn’t like the picture so not plenty of sauce. I also had the starter called the explosive shrimp. The sauce on it was disgusting. But it’s was a cute presentation. I had the mash potatoes and green beans as a side. Very delicious. For dessert I got the sizzler brownie which isn’t a brownie it’s a cake. It was dry and not that good. I’ll go back to ensure I’m not over reacting maybe the chef had an off night.

Yaqub's is a standout halal steakhouse in Birmingham, renowned for its exceptional grilled steaks, burgers, seafood, and Asian fusion dishes. The restaurant boasts a sleek modern interior that sets the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. Guests rave about the juicy lamb steak served with homemade onions and gravy—an absolute delight! While some diners have noted minor hiccups like sticky floors or reservation issues, the overall atmosphere remains inviting. The generous portion sizes ensure you leave satisfied without breaking the bank.
I went to this restaurant a long time ago and it was good but now due to illness I can no longer go out so I order online and the sirloin steak is THE best around! The portions are generous and the food is brilliant always! The rump steak is also great and you can get all steaks cooked to how you like them. The steamed veg is frozen but the meat and other sides make up for it, I love this restaurant and order from there regularly and won’t stop ordering from there as their food is absolutely great value for money and I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone who loves whole hearted food 👍🏼🙏🏼🫶🏼🙌🏼
Delisha K — Google review
We reserved a table at Yaqub’s. After reading positive reviews, reservation online doesn’t work, I had to call in to confirm even though I made it online. The ambience is ok, however the floors were sticky! Not a great start. We ordered food and drinks, the waiter brought out 1 glass, a jug of water and 2 coke cans. We had to ask for additional glasses. Anyway, ordered our food and asked for our steaks to be spicy. The starters came out which were wings. Nice portion, doused in marinade. Side of salad. Great starter. Tasty, had a little punch. Steak sizes were generous, they came out and we were excited! Topped with caramelised onions! Presentation was good, fries were nice and crispy, salad seemed fresh with a nice dressing. The steak itself whilst it was cooked to perfection, lacked the spice we asked for. Their hot sauce is sweet so not to our liking, after asking for a better chili sauce they gave us the chicken marinade we had on the wings. So it kinda did the job. The side of vegetables unfortunately let this dish down. Not fresh, clearly frozen which is ok, but they were just warmed up and served. No seasoning, no taste to them. That was disappointing. In all, the meal was satisfying, very reasonable for the portions indeed! So value for money is great, it certainly is not a bad steakhouse at all. Worth the visit.
Hasnaine J — Google review
Visited recently and had a mixed experience. The cleaning equipment was left in the middle of the restaurant, which didn’t give the best first impression. There was only one staff member running around, and while he was trying to manage everything, tables weren’t being cleaned, and used plates and glasses were left sitting there. The table we sat at felt greasy, which wasn’t very pleasant. We had steaks, Chinese, and the fillet burgers, the food was okay, nothing special, but decent enough. However, £3.50 for a simple Rubicon Mango can felt like a rip-off. Also, the toilet seat was the wrong size, which added to the overall sense of carelessness. It’s not terrible, but there’s definitely room for improvement.. especially in cleanliness and pricing.

We ordered from Too Good Too go and can I say it was the most horrific thing I have established! The picture below will show you everything that words cannot describe. I understand the purpose of Too Good To Go, however, we had a caucasian couple right after us and they too ordered from the app. Cant exactly speak for them but I can guarantee that I'm sure they did not get this dump of a meal. Prison food looked more promising. Never again!

Seating was great got big tables even if its just the two of you. Steak was nice and good price with 2 sides. Mix grill was ok. Prices on menu reasonable for portions. Food arrived in good time and all hot. Overall good experience I will be returning for more steaks.

I had a great experience at Yaqub Steakhouse. The food was really nice — cooked well and full of flavor. What stood out most was the service. Definitely a place I’d recommend and would visit again!

Ibrahim's Grill & Steak House is a standout dining destination in Birmingham, known for its gourmet fast food that emphasizes fresh ingredients. The menu features an impressive variety of meats, including unique options like ostrich and venison alongside traditional favorites such as wagyu, sirloin, and chicken. Diners can enjoy a delightful platter designed to serve four people at an excellent price point.
Had the platter which serves perfectly for 4 people. Amazing value for money! As seen from the picture, the platter cost only £40 and food as always is brilliant! 👌🏼 The young lady who served us was very accommodating, friendly and brilliant customer service skills! It was time for prayer and the young lady accommodated us all as a family really well. She showed us the room for prayer, showed us the Qibla direction and even switched off the music for us whilst we prayed (baring in mind the restaurant was busy with other customers). Not many restaurants accommodate to the music, but she was superb! Excellent food as always and will most definitely be going back. Keep it up guys!
Jahid A — Google review
Interesting to see Ostrich and Venison on the menu. Big choice of meats and some fish. From what I could see between four of us and a Wagu steak we all shared (£40) all the sauce and marinade is the same. The Ostrich was a triumph I would highly recommend it. 3 people had Venison and it was either grisly or very grisly. The Wagu was overwhelmed with the pepper. You lost the essence of this special meat with the peppercorn and the (same) marinade sauce. Shame. But I would come back for the Ostrich. They had no desserts and only take cash.

I heard a lot about this place in the past we travelled long way and decided to go out with my family couple of months ago but I was surprised to see the place it needs a makeover and the food I didn't find differnt then any other shop I already been you will be paying exactly the same price as well

Decent steak, nothing special. The steak was kind of small, expected it to be slightly bigger like their competitors. Parmesan Sauce was spot on (if you are a cheese lover!!) Main letdown was that we were the ONLY table in the restaurant for like 90 mins even though we entered around 7pm on a Sunday evening! As we were leaving another table entered. Also, starters are not great - this needs improving significantly. I wouldn't rush back here if I was ever in Birmingham again.

With a good selection of meat steaks from wagyu, ostrich and venison to the tradition choices of rump, sirloin and chicken, what's not to like? Since the recent change of menu, they've added more starters and switched up the mains. Although it's great that they've brushed up on a drinks menu, they don't offer desserts but not to worry as there is a dessert shop right next door. Nonetheless, it's a perfect place for families and friends and in addition, has lovely lighting and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and thorough which make things much easier. I'm a monthly regular along with my mother. I always order a good steak along with two sides, two drinks and a few starters alone. My mother on the other hand has favoured the curries and starters above the steaks. Below is an example of what we order regularly. It consists of the starter being chilly paneer, the first main course of lamb curry with fresh naan bread and finally a 32oz mildly hot medium-well cooked rump steak complete with two sides of creamy mashed potatoes and salad as the second of the main courses.
Nero A — Google review
Great Food quality and nicely presented. Friendly staff who know what their doing and know their menu. Had the sirloin steak, and it was amazing! But it is overpriced for the location, (£13 for the steak)
Nehman Y — Google review
Fantastic service, great mixed grill and delicious steak. Definetly would come back again.
Rushil V — Google review
The service, environment and decor are all as expected from a steakhouse at this price range, most steaks range at £13 with filet mignon at the most expensive. We got a blue rare steak (when ordered as medium rare) The periperi chicken was so bland we used it to feed the toddler No salt served on chips Pasta was unexplainable (we received a free plate as a mistake and it still wasn't worth it) The peppercorn Sauce was a poor excuse (picture added) Overall food was very poor and over priced for its quality, this is a perfect example of all show and presentation, where a restaurant loses sight of what's actually important, good food at a fair price. Would not recommend, Nandos is around the corner!
