The Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a modern high-rise hotel offering complimentary Wi-Fi and an indoor pool, along with a British bistro, bar, and spa. Indulge in the luxurious experience of their traditional or champagne afternoon tea at the Aria Restaurant, featuring delectable finger sandwiches and a variety of scones served with clotted cream and jam. The hotel's rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows providing stunning city or canal views.
We spent two nights here to see simply red the location was perfect. The hotel was amazing the lobby was stunning are room was very clean. The staff were super friendly and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was great good selection from continental to full English constant supply of tea and coffee being served. We couldn’t fault the hotel and the wonderful staff at all. We will definitely stay here again as will are friends who stayed in a different hotel but joined us for drinks and was impressed especially with the cocktails which are delicious. The room service was really good especially the Nan chicken tikka and bbq chicken wings definitely recommend. Good size portions as well and quite reasonable priced. We’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and we found the Hyatt to be wonderful.

Hyatt Rengency Hotel Birmingham is a very nice and cozy hotel with great facilities. It offers halal food, and prayer mats are available upon request, which I really appreciated. The leisure facilities are lovely, with a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and spa. However, my stay was let down by the fact that the room did not have a smart TV as mentioned on the website, which caused a lot of wasted time considering that I planned to stay in most of the times. The hotel eventually upgraded us (to a similar room just a few floors higher) after several contact made to reception and a long wait, but I’m grateful to Kenza for her assistance. On checkout, Nandini was very kind and offered support for my next visit as a gesture for the inconvenience. There's also an issue with parking, which operates on a first come first serve basis. So if you park your car on day 1 and say you're staying for 3 days, you have to pay for the parking for 3 days ahead which is £27 for 24hr. During these days if you happen to take your car out and come back with no free parking space, you lose your money. Your slot is not reserved. It would be better if they charge us for parking when we are leaving the car park rather than making us pay in advance. Overall, a comfortable hotel with excellent amenities, but clearer information on room facilities would have made the stay much smoother. I would have come better prepared.

Shout out to Gabi - booked two rooms for Simply Red - brought 80 year old in laws as was his birthday -all good and as hoped and expected . Booked the exec lounge but was unwell so couldn’t use but my in-laws had a fantastic time and relaxing break . Also concierge remembered me and what I was there from A conversation back in April when I stayed and told him about October - amazing memory but so customer centric! Thanks HR will be back very soon - only place we will stay

Hyatt Regency Birmingham – Elegant Stay in the Heart of the City Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a stylish and comfortable hotel with a fantastic central location near Broad Street, Brindleyplace, and the ICC. The rooms are spacious and modern, many offering great city or canal views. Guests love the spa, pool, and well-equipped gym, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The Aria Restaurant and Gentleman & Scholar Pub serve quality food and drinks, and the staff are generally warm and professional. It can get a bit pricey, and parking isn’t cheap, but the overall experience feels worth it for the comfort and convenience. A great choice for both business and leisure travellers looking for a touch of luxury in Birmingham.

I stayed at the hotel Friday-sunday for my friends birthday. The hotel is nice and in a good place in the city. We had to change rooms twice. The first room was cold the AC did not work despite sending the concierge to try and fix it. The second room was the same issue again. Ended up going down to reception to complain. The manager (Victor) came back up with me he adjusted the AC and said that give it an hour and the heat would kick in. After sitting in the room for over an hour and a half it was still cold. Called reception again who said they will send an engineer, at this point we were fed up and cold so went to the Spa and left it on. On our return the room was still cold. Called reception again who stated that they would send an engineer. When the engineer arrived he looked in the ceiling and said the previous occupant of the room asked for it to be cold, so switched it off. Whether that is true or not. The management should of known this!!!! Also may I add in both rooms we could not cast to the tv, despite the manager and someone else trying. On checking out on Sunday, we spoke ro Victor the manager and relayed our disappointment. His response was as we booked through Booking.com there was nothing he could do and we needed ro complain to them. Then he would agree a refund. He asked if we was planning on coming back and he would arrange an upgrade to which we said NO THANK YOU. Why would we go back after all the issues we had!! Since speaking to booking.com. Victor the manager has lied and told booking.com we were happy with our room. Despite the lengthy conversation we had about our stay This is not the behaviour of a manager. In summary I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel. You don't pay/stay in a hotel to be cold and fobbed off and moved from room to room. The only truthful person was the engineer!!
Sandra T — Google review
Hotel took unauthorised payments of almost £700. Looking on trip advisor this looks like a regular gig for them. Called to flag the issue they say they will look into it with the bank a week later and I’m still out of pocket. I wouldn’t stay at a Hyatt hotel again!!! Also the pool is adults only
Lara F — Google review
Decent room, great views, friendly reception staff. But we were double-charged for three breakfasts, and still no refund, over a month later, despite many emails. My emails are now just being ignored - whether I contact the hotel direct or a central Hyatt address. I'm not really sure what to do next, which is why I'm leaving this review - maybe they'll stop ignoring us...?
David H — Google review
Hotel website and booking information states parking ‘first come first served’ but absolutely no information that you can pre book with third party who operates parking. Room had no bathrobes for spa use and room telephone missing. So had to call reception from own mobile. Chose pre theatre menu but service very poor and slow . Also for price of room, choice of extras ie tea very poor.

Malmaison Birmingham is a stylish hotel located in the former Royal Mail sorting office, now known as the Mailbox. The bright red exterior makes it easily recognizable. The hotel offers 193 rooms with sleek and modern décor, featuring pop-art posters and monochrome bathrooms. Its location provides easy access to luxury shopping options and the vibrant city center of Birmingham. The on-site Chez Mal Brasserie offers a vibrant atmosphere with colorful neon touches.
I only booked a night here for after the Kendrick Lamar concert. But it was an excellent stay. The rooms were amazing. I actually got a free upgrade! The room was spacious, they had all the right amenities, including free bottled water. The hotel is located right by the train station so it’s really easy to get to. The service was excellent from the front desk and the hospitality staff. The breakfast was great too, I liked that it has both a continental buffet and cooked options you can choose from. The choices are a bit limited but most people will find something they’ll like. If I come back to Birmingham, I’ll be staying again.

Located close to the Bullring and with a Q car park next door to the hotel, this hotel is ideally located. The rooms are of a very high standard, although a little dark. They are very spacious and are built to a high quality. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The bar has an extensive drinks menu and the happy hour prices are very inviting. Lastly onto the food. I rarely eat at hotel restaurants, but the food here is excellent. Easily on par with a respectable restaurant. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Birmingham.

An Exceptional Date Night – A Must-Visit! I’d heard so much about this place but had never had the chance to experience it, so when my partner took me here for our date night, I was beyond excited. Though we had a brief wait upon arrival, the staff quickly made up for it with their impeccable service. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs, attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure we had a wonderful evening. The food was simply phenomenal. We kicked things off with the crab tacos, and honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully plated, it set the bar high for the rest of the meal. The steak? Perfection. Juicy, tender, and packed with incredible flavour, it was clear that a lot of care and skill went into preparing it. The atmosphere was the cherry on top, cozy, romantic, and just the right mix of relaxed elegance that made our night feel even more memorable. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience! 😊

Over night stay spa was great nice and clean however bit small. Asked for change of pillows due being duck feathers which im allergic to. A member of staff gave me different pillows which was much appreciated. The breakfast was very well presented and delicious. Wish I had stayed longer enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Went for a birthday treat and really appreciated the free cocktail. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice but to be honest, the pastries were not fresh. Would stay again Note: you need to pre book the car park if using it as the hotel no longer have a code. It cost me £25 for the night

Overall this is pretty good hotel. I've not used the gym or spa facilities. I have always visited on business trips. Rooms are generally impeccable, but I will say they are starting to show their age. However, still a very good experience. Breakfast wise, you get great service and the food is, for the most part, good. I think there's the odd chef that isn't up to the standards of the others, but to be honest, I've never thought to complain. It's pretty darn ok, ya know. If there were any complaints, it is this: please, please give complementary lip balm! The air con is very needed, but dries your lips fast. I have always left the hotel with crunchy, painful lips!!

Great reception staff, nice and cheery, lovely all round. We came down from Glasgow for the Back to the Beginnings gig at Villa Park, really handy for New St. Station. Nice big rooms, can't fault it really. Recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and professional service. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable environment to relax after a long day. The location was excellent, close to major attractions yet peaceful enough for rest. Breakfast offered a good variety of tasty options, and the dining area was always neat. What impressed me most was the attention to detail and genuine care. Overall, a truly memorable and pleasant experience.

I woukd say yes this is a 4 star. Parking is a rin off to start at £26 a night! Shocking The entry is a bit odd as there is no one at front desk reception then you have to go up in a lift to another reception where you actually check in. The decor was and the hotel itself was pretty decent. Nice presentation, check in was smooth and not too long of a wait. Check out was the same. Rooms were spacious ,well equipped, nice clean bathroom with large shower. Good temp.controls on thermostat on room which worked. Comfy sleep and pillows. Breakfast was good but because no one was clearing tables we had to wait and then ended up clearing the table ourselves which was annoying. I woukd definitely come again provided i can find cheaper parking!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Park Regis Birmingham. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and pleasant welcome at reception. Thank you, Matthew, for your kind hospitality and excellent customer service. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with tea and coffee facilities, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting Birmingham.

Fabulous hotel! The interior is beautifully designed and very welcoming. All the staff were extremely helpful and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. During our visit, the fire alarm went off, but the team handled it brilliantly – they reassured everyone, guided us calmly, and made sure we were safe. A lovely lady named Kinal kindly explained what had happened and even shared some great recommendations for places to visit nearby. This hotel truly goes above and beyond for its guests. I would 100% recommend it and would definitely stay again

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel itself is luxurious and modern, with everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is great, with plenty of good restaurants nearby, making it convenient for both dining and exploring. What really made my stay special was the amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially a lady named Kinal from Guest Relations. From the moment I checked in until the day I checked out, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She helped me with directions to my daughter’s university, suggested great restaurants, and even arranged taxis — her support truly made my trip easier and more enjoyable. The bar staff were also very welcoming and created such a pleasant atmosphere every evening. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’m definitely coming back to this hotel on my next visit!

We came to Park Regis to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a really warm welcome at check-in from Matthew. The hotel has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and theseroom was clean and well-put together. I realised I had left my cufflinks at home and Matthew was kind enough to loan a pair of his. Thank you!

Worst experience ever! While the property itself is presented as a high-end hotel with clean rooms and quality amenities, the level of service we experienced was unacceptably poor and completely at odds with the standards one would expect from such an establishment. We had booked a package that included dinner for two with a glass of wine each, accommodation, and breakfast. Unfortunately, from the moment of check-in, we were treated dismissively and made to feel like second-class guests simply because we had booked a package deal. The receptionist told us, “I think you need to order at the bar because you’ve got the set menu for dinner” – a comment that set the tone for what was to come. At the bar, we were handed the wrong menu, then another menu that was dirty and stained. Our drinks order was incorrect, and while placing our food order we were rudely interrupted by another staff member who questioned what menu we were ordering from. After clarifying that we were on the package deal, he walked off without any resolution. The wines included in our package were never provided. Our mains took 1.5 hours to arrive. At one point, a staff member even asked if we were waiting for desserts when we had not yet been served our mains. While he did offer us complimentary drinks, by that time the evening was ruined. This was meant to be a special birthday dinner for my partner, yet instead it was frustrating and embarrassing. We eventually canceled dessert, as we could no longer justify the wait. The following morning’s breakfast was equally disappointing – poorly executed, with disorganized staff and a complete lack of hospitality. This experience reflects a fundamental failure in customer service, training, and guest care. For a hotel of your caliber, the service we received was wholly unacceptable and fell far below industry standards.

Stayed her on Sunday, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and professional was offered the higher floors which I loved the view. Room was clean bed and pillows comfy. The breakfast was a 10/10 taste fresh and made with care and love . Overall stay was 10/10 nothing to really fault them for . I will definitely be back and recommend

Genting Hotel is a stylish and upscale lakefront hotel located within the expansive Resorts World Birmingham complex near Birmingham International Airport. The hotel offers polished rooms, a chic spa named Santai, and a casino for entertainment. The Santai spa is designed to promote peace and tranquility, featuring state-of-the-art amenities such as a swimming pool with hot-stone loungers and hydrotherapy jets, as well as an outdoor hot tub with views of the lake.
I had an amazing stay at Genting Hotel. The lovely manager, Lily, truly made our experience even better with her warm hospitality and understanding. Although the rooms didn’t quite meet our initial expectations, Lily went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. She even extended our checkout time, which was a big help. Every time we spoke to her, she greeted us with a welcoming smile that made us feel right at home. Thank you, Lily, for making our stay so memorable!

We enjoyed an overnight stay here recently. As a review shared below, we also had the experience of booking a suite only to have this downgraded, but unlike the below poster we did receive a phone call to explain this, albeit a couple of hours before due to check in. We were instead offered a substantial refund and a superior room which was also on the top floor, so we decided to go ahead with the stay. I've rated the service 5 stars as Lily was very apologetic and communicated with us well over this issue. We also found the check in desk staff at the hotel and in the spa really friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is excellent, the room was large with views overlooking the lake. We were staying for an anniversary celebration and we received some complimentary anniversary chocolates which was really nice. There was a stocked up complimentary mini bar, and lots of ESPA toiletries in the bathroom. We used the spa area, which was enjoyable, though very small and the outdoor hot tub got very busy. It's a great added bonus to your hotel stay but I would be disappointed with it if I chose a spa day here. We ate at the Sky Bar for our dinner which was amazing and then had breakfast included in our stay, again at the Sky bar and this was a buffet style service with lots of choice. We got 15% dinner and drinks at the Sky Bar with our stay, which was a great saving. Overall, we were impressed and would stay again.

We had the most wonderful time here celebrating our wedding anniversary. Even when calling in advance to discuss our needs, Anmol provided such a lovely service and was so accommodating. Her kindness really helped make our experience even more special. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough- beautiful interior, welcoming staff, lovely spa facilities. We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you so much

Went for a weekend getaway. The hotel room was clean, staff was friendly and we had nice views of the lake. The parking was free for hotel guests which was a huge plus. The only thing I would say is the breakfast could have more variety than just English breakfast but ngl the eggs and hashbrown were pretty tasty and nice selection of tea. The spa was really good and had things I wouldn't ruin the surprise for anyone so see for yourself. Apart from that the surrounding resort has a lot of things to keep you busy. Overall great experience.

After browsing the reviews in abit baffled, we've booked a room and went for a meal at the sky bar. The staff were brilliant, room service was good and efficient & the hotel room was clean and air con was on when we walked in. The price was actually cheaper a night than a premier in & the experience and location is 10x better. Can't ask for more really

Nice big room, clean and fresh with a good hot drinks selection in the room . Breakfast was lovely. I have marked down as I didn't sleep well as the bed was lumpy and I could here some kind of air con or similar from the next room that was loud! View from my room was a bit rubbish also (see pics)

Booked a suite for two nights to celebrate a birthday. For the price, I expected something special — instead, I got a plain card and nothing else. I’ve had better treatment at budget hotels. Breakfast was bland and boring. Spa facilities were nice, but staff didn’t even know the name of my suite until another employee corrected them and said my suite had recently changed names which is just amazing… Pillows were clearly not clean woke up with spots, and the TV in the sitting area didn’t work. Child-friendly, yes but nowhere near worth the cost. If the expensive suite was this disappointing, I dread to think what the standard rooms are like.

Exceptional hotel!!! I have visited most hotels in Birmingham and this is far the best. It’s quiet, classy and sophisticated. I loved the bedroom and all the facilities included. I also received two complimentary glasses of wine. The hotel is located very close to the main shopping area and the museum & art gallery. The vegetarian breakfast was very good, although the vegetarian sausages need improvement. The breakfast staff were amazing, especially my main server Demitru, I can’t thank him enough. All-round superb hotel - highly recommended 😊

AVOID AT ALL COSTS WHILST WORK IS GOING ON!!!! WORKERS CAN SEE INTO BATHROOM!! They offer you one complimentary drink (for a room with two people) in exchange for zero privacy - I booked a room with a bath for relaxation - workers on scaffolding outside could see right through the blinds! I sent them a nice message to resolve this in a nice way but got zero response unfortunately. Can’t even use the bath which you pay extra for as workers can see you in the bath even with blinds closed as much as they close.

Twin room for me and my mate. Comfy beds. No noise disturbance. Good black out blinds. Clean bathroom. Great breakfast. Flexibility for late checkout at a very reasonable price. And a big thanks to Antonia at the front desk for being so friendly when we turned up. Really made us feel welcome and happy to be there. Huge recommendation.

Good breakfast and nice, clean, good size room & bathroom. Work going on outsid and I think they started early like 9, 9ish; noted the toilet flush not working properly - tho these not severely impacted my stay experience. Staff were friendly.

We stayed for 1 night (last night) and this hotel is stunning! The staff are all really helpful and friendly, they are a credit to the hotel. Rooms are beautiful and spacious and very clean, we ate in the bistro and our meal was amazing, breakfast was faultless Will definitely be booking again very soon Thank you to all of the staff It’s such a wonderful characteristic building with lots of history, we loved it!

Stayed as I was in town for a party and wanted to see the changes in the city centre. Location is great you are central and have good bars and restaurants around you. Service I have to say was great as I had the staff up the wall I didn't like the suite I booked when I got there but the staff let me pick the suite I wanted. Which was huge two room with an amazing bathroom. Shower could easily of held 8 people lovely freestanding bath. The bed was off the scale big (way bigger than a king-size) would of said two kings pushed together but it was one bedframe one mattress (yeas, I checked). Had breakfast both mornings with was really nice and spoilt for choice.

We booked an afternoon tea for 9 of us (our mum’s birthday). What an amazing afternoon we had. The afternoon tea was fabulous and plenty of tea and coffee provided. Such a beautiful hotel and location. When we had finished, there was no pressure to leave our table and we could relax and chat. Later, we headed to the hotel bar to have a few drinks - again exceptional service. Thank you to the lady who was sorting out our Wowcher codes 🙈 Also, a huge thank you to Ruban, who was brilliant and patient with our group. We had the most fabulous afternoon.

We held our wedding at Hotel du Vin in May 2025 and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we started planning to the day we checked out, the service was exceptional. Colleen was with us throughout the whole journey and was absolutely amazing. She patiently answered every single question we had (there were a lot!), always with professionalism, kindness, and a sense of calm that really helped during the stressful moments. She clearly knows her stuff and made us feel truly supported every step of the way. On the big day, Sylvi was incredible. She made sure everything ran smoothly and gave us calm, thoughtful guidance when we needed it most. We felt really taken care of, and her presence made a big difference to how smoothly the day went. The food served on the day was amazing—everyone loved it! The lunch, canapés, and wines were all delicious and beautifully presented. So many of our guests complimented the quality and flavours, and we couldn’t agree more. The rest of the team were also fantastic—professional, welcoming, and so attentive. We received so many compliments from our guests about the beautiful venue and how well everything was run. It genuinely felt like the staff cared about making our day special. We’re so grateful we chose Hotel du Vin for our wedding. Thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes—you created a day we’ll never forget. We’ll be back soon to celebrate our one-month anniversary at the Bistro!

Beautifully decorated throughout, very clean. Great location, walking distance from city centre, reasonable car park down the road. Dinner was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere at the bar, breakfast was great. Unlike some of the reviews I have read I did not have any issues with the temperature in my room, it was fine.

Not worth the price. I had to call reception several times to provide various items that were missing (TV remote, heater). The room sometimes had a funny smell of cabbage. The hot water doesn’t work properly - I had to have a cold shower on the day I departed. Staff are friendly and helpful but this doesn’t make up for the poor quality of the hotel. The breakfast is okay. But when I arrived later one morning all of the pastries had gone and they weren’t replaced. The views from the rooms were the best thing about the hotel as all rooms are on the 23rd and 24th floors of the building. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Dean O — Google review
Was not informed at all that the A/C is not working. Absolutely unbreathable in the room. Was treated nice at first & given a different room however it slowly became very difficult to stay in. I was then given attitude by daytime reception staff when asking for a full refund & when trying to explain that i should of been informed at time of check-in that there is not ventilation in any of the rooms - i was cut off and not heard at all and felt very disregarded. Not even a single apology for the bad experience and the fact they refuse to refund the full amount despite having to leave the room at 3am because it was unbearable Not very good experience & could of been handled better.
Simran B — Google review
Don’t be fooled. Rooms are style over substance. The room wasn’t very clean (child’s face imprinted on the window), shower barely lukewarm, mini fridge in wardrobe making clunking noises all night, tap in bathroom leaking from every part of it, TV unuseable (other hotels have put effort in their set ups of these). Closer inspection of walls/doors/cleanliness, it’s just tired and poorly maintained. Nice from afar, but far from nice.

I've stayed in this hotel way over 20 times for work. It used to be great. The last few times I've been it was been really warm in the corridors and rooms. But it wasn't so bad in winter. I stayed last night and no word of a lie the room must have been over 30'. I called reception because I've had problems with the temp before. The man said the AC is off because the maintenance contractors were working on the system. YAY! I thought. Thinking they were finally fixing it. That turned out not to be the case. The AC was never fixed. Receptionist did send up an additional fan (all rooms already have one so they clearly know it's an issue). However it was just way too hot to sleep. I stay here for work because of the location. But I only slept a couple of hours and wish I stayed at home and did the 3hr drive in the morning for my meeting. It's a shame because the restaurant is generally ok. There's a nice bar and terrace and it's super close to the venue for my monthly meetings. But last night was the last straw. I won't come back now. It was also £150 for one night on a Tuesday. So it's not exactly cheap. Id happily come back when the AC works. But for now, I'm done.

Great location at Gas St Basin makes it a short walk to Broad St/Brindley Place or the city centre. Rooms are comfortable with king size beds and air con. Stunning views across the North, West an South of the city from the restaurant, with an excellent breakfast.
Andrew M — Google review
You can’t stay at this hotel during hot weather. Rooms have windows which do not open, therefore, the rooms are over 30°. The staff pick and choose whether to inform you of this or not. They provide you with a fan which only blows hot air at you. If you are looking for a room that’s practically a sauna then this is a great choice. Requested compensation but they have denied.
Julian — Google review
I did not end up staying here but the 3.9 average review score at present does not reflect the reviews since 2023 when the air conditioning at this hotel seems to have stopped working. I was booked on a (very cheap - half the published price) corporate rate here, but then saw the reviews on the day I was meant to be checking in. At the desk when I asked about air conditioning, I was told they don't have it and immediately offered a full cancellation. The website does quite clearly state air conditioning is included in rooms so there is clear mis-selling by the hotel.

What a wonderful, peaceful and friendly environment to relax and enjoy some clothes free relaxation. Great facilities and spotlessly clean everywhere. Food at both dinner and breakfast were freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. All the staff were wonderfully friendly and, without fail, addressed me by first name which was really sincere and nice. Fellow guests, as is the norm with naturists, were also welcoming and chatty without being intrusive. All in all a welcome experience which I hope to repeat. Thank you to everyone at Clover Spa!

First time experiencing anything like this before. Was welcomed by lovely staff who weee very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Great vibes. All other guests were very friendly and made us feel right at home. Dans breakfast was top notch, not disappointed. Would highly recommend and will be going again soon.

I'd never been to a naturist place before, but was hoping to try one day. I am so pleased to have booked a days spa here, so lucky to find such a relaxing and easy going place to have my first naturist experience. The staff were very welcoming when I arrived, showed me around the facilities before I used them. The facilities were good, clean and tidy. A lovely garden(which in the summer would be lovely) a large hot tub, steam room and sauna. The restaurant area was equally tidy, I didn't eat there, but it had a pretty varied menu. My pot of tea was great, I've never sat naked, drinking tea amongst naked strangers...it was a mind opening experience. I will definitely go back, hopefully stay the night next time, because I can only assume the rooms are as good a quality as the rest of the place. Give it a go, it is a relaxing, open and friendly place.

Nestled in the serene countryside of Royal Sutton Coldfield, North Warwickshire, The Belfry Hotel & Resort offers a luxurious escape. This award-winning destination boasts opulent bedrooms and suites, multiple dining options, a leisure club, and The Belfry Spa where guests can indulge in rejuvenating treatments. Golf enthusiasts will be delighted by the three world-class courses including The Brabazon and PGA National.
I booked the trilogy package for my husbands birthday and our stay was amazing from start to finish. There was a good range of spa facilities. The masseuse Maddie was lovely and friendly and brilliant at her job. Alyson & Michelle at Brabazon Bar where afternoon tea was served 10/10, very attentive, welcoming and went above and beyond to adhere to our needs. Overall a lovely place and we enjoyed the whole experience.

Very disappointed. I have been to quite a few Spa days and this is by far the worst one I have been to. When you think of a Spa, you think of elegance. This unfortunately was far from elegant. If you did not know better you would think that you were in your local council leisure centre. In addition to this the ladies toilets and changing rooms were out of action so we had to use the men’s toilets and changing rooms. Unfortunately the smell in the men’s toilets was awful. In addition to this, in other Spa’s I have been to you at least normally see some of their products in the changing rooms, such as hand lotion and body lotion, not at this Spa. At previous Spa resorts I have found that one of the most relaxing places is the quiet relaxation room. Unfortunately there is not one here. There is a room where you can relax but due to the fact that it is also the room where you wait for your treatment then it is by far from quiet and relaxing as there is so many people coming and going and names are constantly being called out by staff. The lunch was adequate although nothing like any other Spa days I have had and I nearly died when they charged me £16.50 for one glass of wine!!! The only real highlight of the day, apart from enjoying my friend’s company was the treatments that I had from Candy who was excellent and a credit to the facility. I am sorry but I will definitely not be coming back.

Stayed over here on the 19th October. I was surprised at how busy it was upon arrival however getting checked in was really quick. Staff were friendly and talked us through where our meal and breakfast would be. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the Jacklin House area, easy to get to via stairs or the lift. Great size room, nice, clean and fresh. Appeared to be no air conditioning however there was a fan but that was pretty grim, I don't think it had been cleaned for a long time! Really comfy bed, good lighting, nice size TV. Bathroom was also a good size and the shower was spot on. Noise level at night was not great, we got woke up by a very loud couple or group of people at 01:30am!!! No respect for anyone else who may have been asleep. We chose the 3 course Sunday buffet which was amazing, again very busy but only had to wait a few mins to get shown to our table. Plent of variety for sure and was all very tasty. Breakfast the next day was again really busy but got our table straight away. Lots to choose from for sure, all very nice. A brilliant experience and highly recommended.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here. We had the pink afternoon tea for breast cancer awareness, such a lovely spread for a great cause! Alyson and Michelle were both so lovely and attentive, making sure to check up on us throughout the lunch. A great choice of gluten free and veggie options too! Will definitely come back again! :)

We had a really enjoyable stay at The Belfry. The spa and treatments were fantastic — very relaxing and well organised. The food was fabulous, and the new leisure centre building was a great addition. We especially loved the outdoor jacuzzi with its lovely view over the golf course — such a beautiful setting. Overall, the environment and atmosphere were excellent. One point of disappointment was that we were allocated a disabled room, which meant that an accessible room wasn’t available for someone who might have needed it. Additionally, the shower in our room was leaking quite badly. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

I recently went here for a spa day having visited 4 times last year for a conference. I would agree with previous reviews on the rooms. In the old part of the hotel (haven’t experienced the new wing yet) the rooms are adequate but not 4 star. Beds I found quite uncomfortable - the rooms are quite small and dark. More 3 than 4 star. Hopefully this is different in the new wing. The Spa was a mixed experience. I agree with previous review - I saw only one private area for changing - I felt like I was back at school and don’t really enjoy getting naked in front of strangers or even friends if I’m honest. The place was very busy - we took the last 3 beds by the pool. And the Fire and Ice experience was also busy but enjoyable. There was no-one to show us around or explain it so we worked it out ourselves. Food and service in the restaurant was lovely as were the treatments. Maisie was great. Would come again.

We had an absolutely amazing afternoon tea at the Belfry, we chose the Pink Afternoon tea and was served by Alyson and Michelle. The food was fresh, warm and the tea selection was endless. The service went above and beyond, we were not rushed and nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel so welcome. This was our first visit and we felt like we were part of the family from the moment we walked in. Would highly recommend enjoying the Pink Afternoon tea at The Belfry, we will definitely be coming back.

Had a really lovely afternoon tea today for Breast cancer awareness. The food was absolutely wonderful, and the service we received from Alyson and Michelle was amazing. They were very attentive, kept reassuring us we could stay as long as we wanted, made sure we had as many drinks refills as we wanted, and were so brilliant with my 6 year old son. Really enjoyed our afternoon, thank you.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for a weekend spa retreat. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I cannot fault the hotel staff, very accomodating, from reception, restaurant, and spa. I indulged in a full body massage, which proved to be worth every penny spent - I felt exceptionally relaxed. I highly recommend the lovely lady Immie for the massage; having experienced numerous massages over the years, I can confidently say that Immie's full body massage is the best I have ever received. If this hotel were located nearby, I would undoubtedly return on a weekly basis for the massage :) Additionally, our evening meal was delightful.

We had a lovely stay at New Hall Hotel and Spa. The massage was so relaxing and the spa itself was a real treat with the pool and steam room perfect for winding down. The atmosphere felt calm and welcoming which made it easy to enjoy proper family time together. The gardens and grounds were beautiful for walks and exploring which my son loved. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The only thing I would say is the food and drinks menu is not very child friendly, but otherwise it was a really enjoyable break.

Great location and awesome Staff. They were always smiling - Especially the lovely receptionist and the lady at breakfast. Asked for non feather pillows and extra water - it was done without any fuss. Room at times got a little stuffy. And pillow choice could be improved. But the fan in the room was appreciated and nice bathroom. Overall, great stay!

We recently celebrated our son’s first birthday In the Great Chamber room. A huge thank you to Isobel, who oversaw the event – she was absolutely brilliant. So professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Her attention to detail and calm, can-do attitude made the day run smoothly and allowed us to relax and enjoy the celebration. I’d also like to give a special mention to Sophie, who was on hand during the event and was lovely and supportive as well. The venue itself is stunning, but it was the wonderful team – especially Isobel – who made the day so special. Thank you again!

We had afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and the food was quite poor. The sandwiches had barely any filling. We ordered 2 children’s afternoon tea and yet they only brought out 1 small version of some of the cakes. It wasn’t until we told them that they went and got cakes for both children. The grounds are beautiful and the service was decent but the food was really quite poor.

A lovely hotel, we stayed in a suite as a family of four and felt very comfortable, breakfast is great too, can’t beat a traditional fry up! The pool is great the only thing they could improve is letting kids swim any time instead of 2 hours a day (it’s summer holidays after all)!

This hotel really know how to provide service. It’s true that I have been here a few times but what a difference the service standards of this hotel compared to the rest. From the moment you step over the door and get greeted by the concierge, then welcomed for being a diamond member by the reception team. Health club is awesome, one of the best hotel pools around and then there is the executive lounge where you get pampered to death by queen Janise and here team. Before going to bed there is still time for a visit to Brightsmith for a nightcap or 3. Special recognition goes to Janise and Sufia in the exec lounge, Andreea and Abud the guest relationship managers then Georgian, Nadia, Zack and Alex from Brightsmith .

I didn't expect to write this but I experienced excellent service from the staff at this hotel. Even the housekeeping staff were friendly & greeted you when you walked past them in the corridor. Unfortunately the only way to give a review for an employee is through google or trip advisor - I had no way to give any positive feedback to a line manager. The staff get a small reward if they are named in a review so here goes: Great team in the Lobby Bar & Lounge 17 Oct 2025. Linda, Rachel and Lee were really good at their job, checking at appropriate intervals, but not intrusively, if we needed anything, and every time it was a with a smile. My colleague and i were really impressed. Bas on concierge jumped to help when I was looking lost and went out of his way to find me information. Jovi on Reception was so welcoming I felt that he really cared about giving great customer focused service. The actual rooms are very standard corporate hotel. Room had large bed, not great quality duvet & duvet cover or good pillows, but undersheet & mattress are good quality. No overhead lighting so it's constantly low light. Bath had hair/dust from previous guest. Toiletries are Crabtree & Evelyn which I thought were very nice. The windows actually open, hurrah!

Came to a conference organised by company. Really lovely comfortable bed and great size of room. Lovely to have a little balcony we could open as well! Unfortunately the bathroom had so much hair in the plug that it struggled to drain and we only noticed once I was in the shower. Long black hairs everywhere around the shower wall… we were blonde and brunette and hadn’t touched the bathroom shower till this point. Rather disgusting. Breakfast was sensational. Really well put together and lots of selection. But the food for the event was terrible. Understandably hard to prove food for hundreds of people but they kept running out at lunch and by the time we got up there wasn’t much left and had to wait quite a while for it to be replaced. Dinner was a sit down and soup was great, very slow service but again a lot of people. But our table seemed to be continuously missed and we had to keep asking for our bread, our soup, our mains and desserts as everyone else had them but us. Bar was also tiny and staff extremely slow and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. For an event that size it needed to be a lot bigger. 35 mins in a Que for 1 drink is quite extreme.

Came for an event. Rooms very nice and in good condition. Some rooms could benefit from walk in showers rather than showers over the tub. Breakfast had a wide variety of items which tasted good. Although I would like to see more wholemeal items rather than brown bread.

Very disappointing, nowhere near Hilton standards If you think you’re staying at a Hilton, you’re mistaken, this place has none of the Hilton quality or service you’d expect. The rooms are very old and outdated, with most facilities not working properly. The air conditioning was disconnected, and they just provided a small fan and heater instead. Even the room phone didn’t work, so for every single request I had to go four floors down to reach the reception. When I arrived, I asked the front desk who would bring my luggage up, and the receptionist just said, “Go find someone at the concierge.” No one even tried to help,I had to wander around to find someone myself to carry the bags. For laundry, I had to physically carry my clothes to reception since there was no working phone in the room. The dining experience was poor too ,only two types of salad and one club sandwich available. In the evening, there’s a small café downstairs that can bring food to your room, but only if you order through their app. The app didn’t even process my order after multiple tries. On top of that, parking was another nightmare, they charge around £15 per night, but when you return late, you’ll spend 30 minutes or more searching for a space, because during exhibitions, most spots are already taken by non-guests. There’s no reserved parking for staying guests at all. Breakfast was also a mess, long queues just to get in, most dishes were empty, and the dining hall was overcrowded and chaotic. To be fair, the staff were friendly and tried their best, but overall, this hotel is far below Hilton standards in every aspect ,maintenance, organization, and management. Definitely not worth the Hilton name.

800 roomed hotel and a 8 min walk to nec via subway or past moxy. Staff lovely room was clean and adequate. We stayed 2217 executive room overlooking unfortunately a roof but with a slight view of lake so be mindful. End corridor rooms on those floors will be better Outlook. Odd mark on carpet but clean and executive lounge nice with good food selection between 5pm & 7pm but open mainly all day for light snacks and drinks. Overall definitely worth booking and breakfast was brilliant but this is a very large hotel and can get busy extremely quickly. Staff make it .

Stayed here twice for events. First time was excellent, quiet room and accomodated for my disability in an adapted room, on the 1st floor, closest to ground. Service was excellent, provided a mini fridge for my partners essential medication free of charge. Second stay one year later, I was supposed to be accomodated in a disabled adapted room and instead we were placed in a normal room with broken aircon 4 floors up which was hell for me. I struggle with vertigo which is often triggered by the acceleration of lifts, so every time I took them to get up and downstairs I was risking getting a vertigo attack that would leave me unable to see clearly or walk straight, and may have made me vomit uncontrollably. My only other option would be to walk up and down 4 floors of stairs every day with chronic musculoskeletal pain and fatigue. My key card also did not work and I had to use my partners. I want to state for transparency that I did not report these issues to the front desk because my partner had just flown in from the USA and had driven to pick me up 150 miles away from the convention so we were both exhausted. Therefore we did not give the staff a chance to rectify these issues. Again, they provided a mini fridge for my partners essential medication free of charge - wonderful! My main reason for making this review was actually that the music by the bar was absolutely blaring when we stayed in May this year. I have hearing issues including intermittent deafness and sound senitivity and genuinely could not hear a single thing while trying to order a drink, I had to have my partner order for me - I'm shocked that he or the bar staff were able to hear each other, though. The music was literally painfully loud in my case and I could feel the vibrations in my bones - is this good for service? Aside from the negatives mentioned, both of our stays were wonderful and memorable. I would visit the Hilton again. I think the prices are very reasonable for what you get, and it feels like a home away from home in most cases!

Very disappointed with how this place appears to have slipped over the years. We got married here some 24 years ago. Decided to revisit for our anniversary. Planned a Sunday lunch and a nights stay for old times sake. The place is empty, like a ghost town, no ambience, skeleton staff, run down with an obvious lack of any care or consideration. No veggie lunch option despite asking when booking. Only beef available or veg and potatoes with gravy. Ended up ordering of the main menu, but food was not good. Asked to speak to a manager or supervisor twice before check in to discuss but despite two promises to come and talk to us, no one did. We decided to cut our losses and head home instead of staying. It used to be such a nice place with very warm memories for us, so sad to see what it has become. Has so much potential, but clearly lacking management or any ambition to attract and retain clients. Unless there is a major change in how this place is run, I'm afraid I would have to recommend giving it a wide berth for the foreseeable future.

Nice hotel but overpriced. Staff friendly and proficient. Breakfast dining room chairs have collapsed seats, uncomfortable. Breakfast dining room tables sticky, not clean and varnish peeling. Bedroom 12 noisy into the early morning, very close to the bar. Bedroom 12 next to a store cupboard, noisy early morning with cleaning staff accessing new linen etc. Bedroom 12, great bed but vinyl headboard peeling. Does not look good. Bedside lamps have loose connections near the bulbs. Pod coffee machine did not work. Heavy rain through the night caused the roof gutters to overflow, sounded like Niagra. Boiler vent fumes next to bedroom window. This could be a 5 star hotel, what with all the facilities they provide, if some money was invested.

Lovely location with lots of nearby lakes and walks. Facilities okay. Quite noisy on a Sunday in the spa. Staff a mixed bag, a few were very friendly and helpful, others grumpy and unpleasant. Suspect they are understaffed as most seem stressed and the communication isn’t very good. Tried to book spa treatments and they didn’t get back to my messages. Toilet broken in our room and mattress quite lumpy. No AC so quite hot in rooms & restaurant, but they provide some table fans. Food decent. Lots of kids here so seems good for a family trip.

I stayed here with my daughter (child) recently after seeing a lot of 4 start pictures online and positive reviews. We were very exited about our stay but this very quickly ended when we got to the hotel. When we went to check in a customer was sharing her disappointment of the hotel and their family room with the receptionist. The checking process was fine but when we got to the room were were very disappointed. It was outdated, smelly and dusty. I tried to open the windows and it was like they had never been open before. There is no air con in the room. We had to use the cheap fan in the room the entire stay. When I managed to open the window all you can here is noise from the shotting range which no one mentioned and this went on until late. There was a lot of noise and banging though the night. The food at the hotel was not great. I went to the bar for a hot drink and waiting ages to be served and the bar worker left for a long time and came back with milk but could use the machine so I gave up with waiting. No water is provided in the room and told to use the bathroom sink, like what the hell?. Let me not start on about the spa and the changing rooms or even the lockers? This is a very very basic hotel which is very out dated. The customer service is also basic so don’t expect much. We will not return again.

If you’re thinking of becoming a member here I would strongly advise against it. The facilities are basic and not well maintained. The biggest drawback is the pure filth of the place. The changing rooms have never seen a deep clean. I’d expect a deep clean at least once per week and period cleans throughout the day. £42 p/m and you can’t even use the shower. The place is a disgrace. They won’t employ a cleaner and expect the reception/spa/gym staff to do it. It’s clearly not being done and if it is it’s not even being surface cleaned. To put it bluntly the changing rooms are diabolically filthy and there’s no excuse. Happy enough to take the direct debit every month but won’t invest in a proper cleaner. Disgusting.

Booked this as a birthday break for myself and my partner, I preordered the celebration package and that did not disappoint, the staff here went above and beyond to decorate the room and on arrival we had an ice bucket with a lovely bottle of Prosecco and 2 glasses, balloons on the bed and rose petals. I worked with Paul on reception to organise the surprise for my partner and he went above and beyond and even checked the room personally before check in. The B76 bar is absolutely fantastic, the staff member behind the bar had banter with us and was more than happy to go above and beyond for us, he was fantastic (Saturday 30th August) The pub in the hotel is absolutely fantastic, also happy to go above and beyond to help, James was on the bar on Sunday and he was brilliant, very polite and attentive to customers. The spa staff are fantastic too, they are very informative and more than happy to give thorough detail about all spa packages, we opted for the mud treatment and it was brilliant and very relaxing, both me and my partner really enjoyed it. Rooms are spotless and kept that way too, tv has plenty of channels and the beds are unbelievably soft and comfortable and the showers are out of this world with jets from every direction. Me and my partner (not pros by any means) took the opportunity to play driving range golf, was such fun and even had happy hour in the morning. The breakfast was fantastic, totally fresh and cooked to perfection, plenty of choice ie cereals, full English, yogurts and they also have fresh orange, apple juice and cold water. Overall, I’d definitely return to this hotel, it’s absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be more thankful to the friendly staff who contribute in the running of it. Ps… Maya from the bar is absolutely lovely! Couldn’t find a nicer person than her, she’s amazing and literally goes way above and beyond her job role. Thank you so much Maya! Cleanliness 10/10 Friendliness 10/10 Food and drink 10/10 Rooms 10/10 It’s been perfect and I really look forward to a return stay in the future Thank you

Firstly when I arrived I was disappointed to find my room had no air-conditioning or mini bar fridge and the room smelt, it had a old mouldy smell to it, even when I opened the windows it did not dissipate. The bed was not made properly at all, linen was not ironed, and even towels were all crinkled. Not what I expected for a 4-star hotel at all. The spa was also disappointing being so small with both private members and hotel guests using the facilities. There are only 6 lounge chairs that were occupied constantly even when guests were swimming, not allowing others to sit by leaving their belongings on them. On my last day, the Jacuzzi was out of order as they were checking the chlorine levels. When trying to swim in the pool, some day, visitors were doing back stroke and seemed to bump into others and took over the pool. Despite notices saying no jumping, people were diving in and splashing about. Then a group of 6 males arrived and made so much noise with loud voices and disruptioned the peace and quiet. The one attendant started cleaning with floors in the spa at 8pm even though the spa closed at 9pm. So that was rather disruptive. I have 2 treatments at the beauty spa, and even though I had 20% discount, I found it to be rather expensive. The facial was mainly a massage with no steaming or electrical or light therapy, just basic. They did not have a treatment menu or details on the types of facials just charged per time. The deep tissue massage was good but seemed more like a Swedish massage and the lady was not very strong. The spa staff at the start of the week were lovely but at the end of the week new ones arrived who were rather rude and abrupt. Unfortunately I will not be going back. Another thing to mention is that I did ask to upgrade my room when I arrived but they said it was fully booked so no luck there. They also only change the sheets every 3rd day if you staying for a week like I did.

Crowne Plaza Solihull, an IHG Hotel, is conveniently located less than ten miles from Birmingham city center and just five miles from the National Exhibition Centre. This makes it a great base for exploring historic attractions in the Midlands, such as Stratford-upon-Avon and Coventry. The hotel's Terrace Restaurant offers a versatile dining experience for guests and locals alike, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea.
Great hotel. We stay a couple of times a year when catching up with family. Everyone is friendly and professional. Had a meal in the restaurant for the first time this last stay and was really impressed. Quality and presentation of food was excellent. Service was absolutely superb. Great to chat with but also they knew their wines and dishes and were great at offering suggestions. Evie's cheese board was an excellent suggestion and perfect end to the meal - should be added as a menu option! Looking forward to returning.

We stayed for 4 nights in April 2025. We were a family of 4 with 2 young kids. The hotel was absolutely fantastic in almost every way. Amazing breakfast! Very comfortable rooms. Excellent beds and bedding. But the staff were the highlight; they were attentive without being overbearing and they helped with everything that we needed. We swam in the pool. It is slightly tired feeling, but still very nice to have it there as an option. The kids pool is a safe depth and very much appreciated. One minor fly in the ointment: The room door handles are ridiculously low. I know that this is for disabled people to be able to access them, but they are so insanely low that I pulled muscles in my arm and shoulder from opening them. I am 1m93cm tall. Perhaps the UK needs to consider tall people as disabled / the opposite of disabled and start discriminating towards us....? Not the hotel's fault, but it was really shocking to see the handles so comically low.

Friendly staff and a pool and sauna area were the pros but unfortunately the negatives far outweighed the pros. Our room had 2 double beds and a sofa bed. One bed was comfortable, the other bed was super soft by any standard and the sofa bed was beyond unusable - when you open it up past the seated area it just slumps into a hammock style thing - actually impossible to sleep in. The room is not blacked out either so there is a decent amount of light getting in first thing in the morning. My 2 main requirements for a hotel is decent beds and blackout curtains. I've received these 2 things far better from 2 star hotels honestly. I feel if you get those 2 things are done right then at least your guests can have a good night's and most other things become acceptable. We'll likely becoming back to Solihull the same time next year but certainly won't be staying here. Food is expensive and my wife's food was inedible. We ordered 2 double gin and tonics and it is was over £30!! Just insanely expensive - they didn't even have gin glasses to serve them in for that price.

We arrived late... 10pm, Elaine on reception was a lovely cheery face after a 7hour train journey! She gave us all the info we needed and helped us get somewhere for food. The rooms are very spacious... Comfy big bed and all that you need... Even a fridge! Shower is very good, but not very powerful... No biggie for us. After a great sleep we went for breakfast. Great choices, and lovely bread to boot. Big shout out to caitlin and all the staff at breakfast... Very helpful. The health club is very clean and tidy.... The pool is perfect temperature, but the spa was boiling! Great steam room and sauna. Pool was a good enough size for us. Once again staff were friendly and helpful. So to sum it up, we had a wonderful weekend, and we can't wait to return to a crowne plaza... We hope they're all as good! A big thanks to the staff for making our stay enjoyable 🙂

Stayed 5 days and everything was great. Excellent sleep in a Quiet Zone room. Windows open for fresh air, with a nice view. Food was excellent, as was service all around. Solihull is a quaint little town, and there's a beautiful park nearby with lovely walking trails.

Fine for a one night stay for two people - we needed somewhere close to the NEC literally just to sleep. Main entrance was nice, building was clean and beds were comfy, good TV in room too. Unfortunately the walls between the rooms were paper thin. We were put in an adjoining room and woke up hearing the other guests' alarm go off at 5am and could hear everything from the corridor so sadly sleep & privacy wasn't the best.

We are gym members here and as gym members u receive 25% of food and drink so we thought we would go for breakfast again we went last in Sept. When greeted by the breakfast supervisor Kerry she said its 18.50 pp including children ..I was sure this was incorrect as the children were half price in Sept. She said no I've been here 7 years it's never been we can't put it through on the till for that much , we decided not to stay as it was very cold welcome and I was certain she was incorrect. Before leaving I checked with receptionist who told me I was right back in Sept the children were half price and the price po has now increased . I pay a decent amount for gym membership and the gym staff are lovley as was the receptionist but for a breakfast superuser who says she been there 7 years not to know that there prices have increased is silly. She was very cold and no customer service at all. Would not reccomed this place now to anyone!

Excellent service from Stef,Gabbie and Mairita on reception. Very helpful and totally pleasant. A lovely greeting on entering the hotel. Room basic but clean and tidy. Only gripe is the chair was over big for the size of the room , had to do a bit of side stepping with there being 2 occupants

I arrived at the hotel early on both occasions, due to setting off earier to miss the traffic. When i arrived at the hotel i was warmly welcomed by Mairita who not only assisted me with the check in process, but also put me at ease, as i was a little anxious being somewhere new after travelling for approx 4 hours. Furthermore the first week i stayed here she allowed me an early check in time once the room was ready, and to top it off my second week of stay she did it again. I am very happy with this service and would recomend. Great customer care skills. 😀

Facilities were not the newest but gave me everything I need during my stay. The staff, however, went above and beyond - Aruna at the fitness center reception was SO kind and helpful and made a swim and sauna possible for me when I'd forgotten my gear at home. She really made my morning and my stay at the hotel great!

A warm friendly welcome. Only stayed for one night but room was adequate with tea/coffee in the room, bed really comfortable and a good night sleep was had. Only had breakfast which was fresh, plentiful and hot. On checking out Mairita was on hand to ensure your checkout was as smooth as your check in. Nothing was too much trouble.

Nestled within the vibrant Resorts World Birmingham, the Genting Hotel offers a luxurious escape with its refined rooms and suites. This contemporary hotel is not just about comfort; it also boasts an impressive spa, Santai Spa, which draws inspiration from ancient wellness philosophies to create a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Guests can indulge in state-of-the-art facilities like a swimming pool equipped with hot-stone loungers and hydrotherapy jets, along with an outdoor hot tub that provides stunning views of the lake.
A must-visit shopping destination in Birmingham! Resorts World Birmingham is my go-to destination for shopping, dining, and relaxing all in one place. The variety of stores is fantastic — from big-name brands to unique local shops — and everything is easy to navigate. It offers a great selection of shops with something for every taste and budget. There are many different restaurants offering something for everyone, but the sky bar is definitely a must-see. Parking is convenient and the facilities are spotless. It’s the perfect place to spend the day

At first glance, man this place has so many cool things to do! They are VERY well decorated and have lots of fun eateries. They have outside and indoor eateries, and they have an arcade and an escape room. However, that's about where the praise stops... We came here from a nearby hotel to eat dinner. It was a short walk, the lake was pretty. We chose Zizzi's as it looked like a fun Italian choice (we later learned this place was a chain restaurant, so that was a bummer). I'll write up my restaurant reviews in detail on their pages instead, but in short, the places we ate all all seemed to be short staffed, in a rush, and not very open to service. We ate at Karaage also. Everything was pretty overpriced, especially when we considered the escape room option. They have a 'sky garden' that wasn't very impressive. And being an American visitor, I was eager to try anything but American cuisine, but half of what Resorts World offered was American cuisine. Overall I wouldn't recommend Resorts World, but if you're staying at the Hilton nearby, boy, this place really is your only dinner option.

Located near Birmingham airport. The shopping options are not exciting. I visited for Cineworld IMAX. There are numerous eateries. Branded ones and enough sitting area. The small lake near the location is scenic. Parking spaces are numerous. No need to enter the city if visiting from South side.

Good day out with family There is good shopping outlets which are good compared to many I have been to We stayed the night at Genting hotel as well. Just make sure you if you travel by train to arrive, depart during business hrs to walk through the nec centre otherwise its a long walk round the outside adding 30min to your step counter 😉 There is restaurant, bowling, games inside I was surprised there was not kids boats to play with on the lake

Resorts World, Birmingham is a compact lifestyle mall next to NEC, offering a mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment. While the retail options are limited to a few stores and boutiques, it’s the eateries and leisure spaces that stand out. Visitors can enjoy Miller & Carter Steakhouse, TGI Fridays, Zizzi, and Karaage. For fun, Hollywood Bowl provides a lively arcade and games arena, making it a convenient spot to relax after exhibitions or events.

It’s ok if you live near by but for me it hasn’t got enough shops, also it doesn’t have a Ralph Lauren. They have a new food court which is better than they had before but again not enough choice for me. Plenty of parking but at the weekends it does get busy.

It's OK.. unfortunately not many shops so if you want a few bits and don't want a busy shopping mall. However the highlite was the sky bar . Good choice of drinks and great staff !! Although quiet on our visit it can get very busy when shows are on or at weekends . Great view over Nec and lake from out side balcony where you can relax with your alcoholic beverage

Very nice shopping centre with few restaurants, casino, bowling/ arcade and cinema. It could be easily all day thing. Very good size car park, I have to admit I was very nicely surprised how clean is the staircase, it doesn't stinks which means that normal people are visiting resort world and they do know the difference between toilets not the staircase! Toilets were clean and tidy aswel as the corridors and the shops

Recently attended a small conference at Moor Hall Hotel and had a fantastic stay. The venue is ideal for intimate meetings of around 10–15 people – quiet, professional, and well-organised. The hotel itself is full of character with comfortable, well-appointed rooms and a peaceful setting. It’s in a great location – easy to get to, yet tucked away enough to feel like a retreat. The food was excellent – fresh, beautifully presented, and served by friendly, attentive staff. The grounds are also lovely for a walk between sessions or just to unwind. Highly recommend for both business and leisure stays.

We got married at moor hall in August. The venue itself is so beautiful, but the wedding was spectacular. The weather, the venue, the staff, the food, the organisation, everything was just incredible. Heather spent a lot of time with me organising every last detail and running through everything a million times. But Troy on the day was absolutely worth his weight in gold. There was not a thing he did not do for us. From fixing my dress walking down the aisle, to distracting me so that I didn't ruin my makeup, to making sure that absolutely everything on the day went without a hitch. He was phenomenal and we're so grateful he was there. Top tip for future brides, get the prep suite, having everyone there with me and a base to get ready in was invaluable. Plus the room is BEAUTIFUL. Thanks to everyone at moor hall, some of the best memories of our lives were created that day ❤️ - all venue decorating - Louise victoria wedding & event hire - toastmaster - the elite toastmaster - photographer - the Kensington photographer

I would have given a 4.7 rating if I could. I booked the afternoon tea spa day for my mom's birthday and it's been a wonderful day. The staff have been lovely they had remembered it was my mom's birthday and given personal gestures for her which have been such lovely attention to detail. The massage was absolutely lovely, I'd say one of the best I have had. The only slight moan were the pool side beds were full and really uncomfortable. Apart from that I'd like to thank all the staff for making the day special for me and my mom. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back, hopefully soon!

Check for a wowcher on this little gem. What a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean (albeit a bit hot) The evening meal was a bit pricey but good. The swimming pool is small but luckily the times we went in the evening at around 6 was quiet enough. The breakfast was great, everything you could think of and the staff were lovely. I would definitely recommend and go again. There is also a golf course, you can see through the gym windows. The gym was good too, lots of equipment and air con was super cold.

There is a golf course there too.

I have been waiting right in front of the bar for half an hour to place an order, but despite reminding them several times, they never paid any attention. Library of Birmingham is a modern, 31,000-square-meter building located in the heart of the city. Opened in 2013, it stands out with its unique exterior resembling a wedding cake. The library features 10 floors connected by elevators and escalators. At the top, visitors can explore The Shakespeare Memorial room, a historic wood-paneled space from the old library that is now available for events like weddings.
An excellent and stylish city library, a must see when visiting Birmingham. Lovely top side outdoor seating with great views and garden islands. Well maintained throughout. Lovely atmosphere. Sees many visitors. Lots of study areas. Would have benefited for some cosy seating for a longer stay to fall into a book. Used as a business hub for contacts and resources etc. has clean toilets available. Great location. Its free.

The relatively new library is architecturally beautiful but I’m knocking off a point because the Library closed its cafe. When you send long spells in a library it’s helpful to be able to get a drink. In the British Library there are about four or five cafes on site which enables you to work, take a comfort break and return to researching or studying. Not sure why the second city’s main public library doesn’t have this important feature. I also think the business section could do with more resources and event to support businesses and business start up. That said, staff are helpful and professional. It’s easy to take out or renew memberships. I love the light and airy space on each floor and the statement elevators. The roof top garden is beautiful and a great amenity space on a warm day for us to catch up on phone calls. Again I may have remained there if I could have gotten a drink. Instead we leaf after two hours just to get refreshments.

I visited the Library of Birmingham today. Last year, there was a lovely water feature just outside the library — a great spot where kids could play and cool off. I checked several times this year, but unfortunately, it hasn’t been turned on at all, which was a bit disappointing. That said, I did discover a small children’s play area at the lower level of the library that I hadn’t seen before. It includes sand, water, wooden toys, and natural materials — a very fun and creative space for children to enjoy. Great to see the library offering more for little ones, but I really hope the water feature returns soon!

The largest public library in the UK, Birmingham library is a great place to study. They have a large selection of books- academic, fiction and non-fiction self help books. You can also listen to audio books if you have a membership of the library which is relatively easy to get. The staff is always helpful with information relating to books and other related topics. You can find and reserve a book online on their site. They will find the book in their and other libraries and keep the book aside for you for a period of time. Having a cafe would be good given that you’d want to take a break from studying. Nevertheless it’s a beautiful place and a must visit from those outside the city. The balcony gives an amazing view of the city. 💖

Library of Birmingham – Modern, Inspiring, and Full of Character The Library of Birmingham is one of the city’s most stunning landmarks, combining modern architecture with a peaceful atmosphere for reading and learning. The terrace gardens and rooftop views are must-sees — perfect for relaxing or taking photos of the skyline. Inside, there’s a great mix of study spaces, archives, and exhibitions, with the Shakespeare Memorial Room being a real highlight. It can get busy and the layout takes a little getting used to, but the staff are friendly and the space feels welcoming to everyone. A true gem in the heart of Birmingham — ideal for book lovers, students, and anyone looking for quiet inspiration.

The library is beautiful! As a tourist, it is a wonderful place for anyone coming to Birmingham. On the top 2 floors, there is a beautiful terrace with lots of flowers and benches to sit on. There is an exhibition that explains the history of the library. I recommend taking the elevator up and turn down by the escalators. As a student, it is a great place to study, do your homework, it has internet, very private spaces, you can get your membership card to request books. It is a great place for group study or even to read a book.

Beautiful, grandiose, and modern. I got a bit confused with finding which floor the fictional books where. It has a massive collection of educational books. If you are a student, a researcher, or curious intellectual, it probably has what you need. The spiral floors are lovely to look at. Sit down and admire the view. Read a book and relax. See the secret garden on the 7th floor and admire the view. Go to the top floor and ponder about Shakespeare.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Forest of Arden Country Club offers an elegant stay with spacious rooms, 2 golf courses, and a luxurious spa. The Cedarwood Spa provides a range of services including massages, facials, and fitness classes. Guests can also enjoy the indoor pool and fitness center or explore the 10,000 acres of woodland surrounding the hotel. Dining options include traditional afternoon tea and British cuisine at Cast Iron Bar & Grill.
Had a great 3 night golfing break with our society recently. The rooms are great. The staff are OK. We played the 2 golf courses twice. The first evening meal was a carvery which was very good. The 2 other nights we selected our 3 course meals from the menu. Have to say the food was very good. The only issue I had was on the first day when I ordered some fries before our first round which took ages and I had to chase twice before stuffing my face quickly before our tee off. I would go back though as this is excellent venue for golfers. Did not use the spa this time so cannot comment. The breakfasts are fantastic with plenty of choice. Highly recommend

We last stayed here about 25 years ago. It seemed clean and shiny then. 25 years later it's definitely tired and in need of a refurbishment and investment to bring it back to what it was. While slightly tired the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and they have invested in decent TVs and WiFi. The windows only open a crack so I imagine in the summer it would be uncomfortably hot. There was a long queue to check in. Perhaps because all 3 of the groups checking in were having issues. 1 group had clearly booked 3 rooms and had proof, yet there were only 2 available. Another group of friends were being over charged for their rooms they'd paid in full for and only when one of the group were insistent that THEY personsally paid in full for and made them check did the staff realise they had, and then needed to refund the other members of the group for their error. All of which took time. We checked in without issue. The pool and leisure area was pleasant enough but again tired. Dinner was a joke.... We ended up not being charged anything for our meal after complaining to head of front of house who upped it to the hotel managers. Essentially we were in the restaurant for nearly 2.5 hours.... Not long enough to be served a main course and get a desert menu. This issue was clearly down to (lack of) staff, all of whom were run off their feet. Our main (and only) course took 70 minutes to arrive, after chasing it after 1 hour. Still they took on board our feedback and didn't charge us which I feel is fair. Breakfast was positively excellent. Really very nice Indeed. So yes we had a few issues but ultimately this was ideally located close to the NEC which we were visiting, and I would definitely stay again. With some extra investment in both building and staff this place could be significantly better. A good value stay, and I would return (just not in the middle of summer when I expect bedroooms to be boiling)

The location is great, the staff are friendly, but the hotel is very dated. Rooms aren’t up to modern standards. Bar prices are on par with central London. £7.50 a pint and £9 for a glass of wine. Evening buffet was £35. Make sure you get your money’s worth. Restaurant was chaotic. Included breakfast was good. Seems to be very popular with groups of golfers who told us the course is very good.

I recently stayed here on a business trip. I've stayed here a couple of times before but a number of years ago and really loved it so was looking forward to my stay. Sadly I was a bit disappointed. It feels like an old country manor gone to ruin. Rooms are tired, carpet worn, doors damaged and walls patched up. Ridiculously over priced in the hotel. £28 for ribs plus 12.5% service charge. Over £30 for one of the worst meals of my life. Ribs were tough, tomatoes wafted by a pan , presentation was ridiculous (thin plate with chips underneath so you squashed your food as you chiselled away at the ribs) and so called triple cooked (frozen) chips. I should have known better when I over heard the young waitress say to a colleague "god £28. I wouldn't pay that for that crap". 😂 Staff couldn't give a crap if I'm honest. Most speak English poorly and seem genuinely disinterested. Waited over 10 mins at restaurant to be seated while 4 staff milled about making jokes at bar. Rooms are ok but tired. Crap Samsung TV which kept resetting itself every time you went up or down in TV guide. Positives....has a driving range. Such a shame.

Well the Forest of Arden hotel and country club was fantastic. It had amazing facilities included, it had a wonderful selection of food for the breakfast menu, such as a full English, cereals, fruit, yogurt, fresh pancakes and tea/coffee and juice also. The rooms were very spacious and clean, there was no air con but a fan is provided in the rooms. I must say we quite enjoyed the stunning scenery too. We loved this hotel and will be back one day, so thank you.

Two parts to this review. Firstly the golf - absolutely brilliant. Played both courses as part of a society weekend and they are great. Cannot recommend highly enough. The hotel / restaurant - unfortunately another story. The buffet dinner was awful , poor selection that was tasteless. Sadly it also included giving 6 of our 24 person group food poisoning over the course of the weekend. Rooms were very basic and extremely hot. If going just for the day - play great golf and go home!

All is not what it seems at this hotel. To make things clear, this review is for the hotel/rooms and not for the golf club. Firstly, the location of this hotel is fantastic being just off the M6 and a stones throw to Coventry, Warwick, Leamington, Stratford and Birmingham. We booked purely based in location as were looking for an overnight stay prior to a trip to Warwick University. However, if you are not a golfer, or visiting for a golf trip, work trip or conference, this is not a place for a quiet relaxing, couples break. This hotel is a factory churning out golfing stays to those who can demonstrate the most laddish behaviour, foul language and spend the most money. Happily we had upgraded our room to a premium. If we hadn't, we wouldn't have had the 2 small bottles of water ration. Nor would we have had the espresso machine with it's 2 pod ration. And not just 2 pods but decaffeinated pods to boot! (Decaffeinated is the work of the devil in my view!) So of course, the 2 bottles of water and 2 coffee pods didn't last beyond the afternoon of our check in and left us wanting for the remainder of our stay. The mini fridge was empty. Apparently, the other rooms don't even get water! Once captive on site, of course you can spend, at great expense, on water, coffee and meals in the public areas and restaurant. I get the business model, but in terms of guest experience, it was the small things that really let the stay down. And no coffee until the £18.50 breakfast the next morning was simply too much for us and we pleaded for proper pods and more of them. Our premium room was tired and in need of refreshing and investment, including simple things like USB ports to charge devices. The staff, on the contrary, were super polite and couldn't do enough to help. You just have to keep on asking, and if it's within 'management policy' they will help. The swimming pool has a lifeguard and was spotless. Do ask in advance who is using the pool as water babies and other groups also use the pool. Would we go back? No. There are better equipped, less pretentious places available that will provide a far superior guest experience.
Wenhaston B — Google review
I have rated this a 5 star because of service, pool being available all the time for kids (6am to 8pm), rooms are okay, service is immaculate (we left an item and they returned it to our address). Staff are really friendly, always willing to go the extra mile. There is a lot to do on the hotel grounds, mostly used for golf but we spotted reindeers when we managed to go for a stroll. The rooms I put down 4 star as they don’t have AC, not good enough bathroom ventilation, and the doors do not stay open (like some hotel doors do, which was quite annoying with the doors being so heavy). It’s a lovely hotel but the building is a little outdated but having said that, I would return. The kitchen staff during breakfast were always friendly and polite and helpful but it’s the same menu everyday, after 2-3 days it becomes a bit boring. Please don’t take this review negatively, it’s still a very good hotel to visit!

Nestled in the heart of Walsall, Fairlawns Hotel and Spa is a luxurious retreat that seamlessly blends comfort with wellness. This family-run establishment boasts modern en suite bedrooms equipped with complimentary WiFi and ample parking. Guests can indulge in an array of services, from exquisite dining options to elegant event spaces set within nine acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.
I was taken to Fairlawns Spa by my partner for my birthday, and it truly was a perfect day. Every member of the team was well-trained, pleasant, and attentive, making us feel welcome from start to finish. The food was of excellent quality, beautifully presented, and matched the high standard of the service. The facilities were exceptional – everything was clean, well-maintained, and designed for a relaxing experience. There were a couple of larger parties who started off a little rowdy, but they soon settled down, and it didn’t take away from the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it was a fabulous and relaxing day – I couldn’t have asked for more. Five stars without hesitation!

I have tried a number of local spas, and this has to be one of the best. There are several different things to experience including saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and a pool, as well as various other 'rooms'. There is enough to do here without having to have any of the extra treatments that are on offer. However, if you do decide to indulge in a little pampering, you won't be disappointed. On arrival for your spa day you are given a breakfast and lunchtime consists of a beautifully presented meal of your choice (although the choice is limited to the menu). The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and always on hand should you need any assistance. This is definitely somewhere worth trying if you are looking for a spa day. ( although it can also vouch for their afternoon teas and it also happens to be where I got married several years ago).😄

Booked for my wedding weekend with my wife. The facilities are great, great rooms and the staff were very polite and courteous. They even went the extra way to make our stay memorable, which I very much appreciate. Breakfast isn't complimentary but delicious nonetheless and they have a whole host of options which will suit a range of guests.

I've been coming to the Fairlawns for a year now and have purposefully waited to give a, what I would describe, holistic review. Over the past year I've been to the restaurant, spa, spent an evening and had my wedding at the Fairlawns and I can honestly say that every experience I've had has been nothing short of outstanding. When coming to visit the first time we felt right at home, the staff are friendly, professional and they are constantly looking for ways to make your experience better. From the chef who saved our wedding cake after it collapsed (thank you again!), to Hayley our wedding coordinator making sure we were both fed and watered throughout the day, Josh our wedding contact who helped us with planning, being only an email away to sourcing anything and everything we needed, to the bar staff who thanked US for being such wonderful guests! The restaurants food is exceptional, when choosing our wedding menu I was fighting my partner over the vegetables - coming from someone with the palate of a toddler, this is the highest praise! The spa is stunning and despite visiting when I was 5 months pregnant there was still plenty of facilities I could make use of and the massage I had melted away all my aches and pains. The rooms are a great use of space with additional facilities such as ironing boards (essential during the morning of our wedding!) and can clearly see that work is continually being carried out to continue their such high standards. Our wedding guests have all said that they didn't realise that the Fairlawns were here or how often they'd driven past and never been - they have all said that they'll now be coming back for a meal, spa day or nights stay! Thank you again to the entire team at the Fairlawns for taking such good care of us. You'll most definitely be seeing us again soon!

My recent spa day at Fairlawns was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the professionalism and high standards were evident. The entire establishment was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The spa facilities themselves are fantastic. A diverse range of saunas and pools, coupled with a well-equipped gym, offered something for everyone. There's a real abundance of options to choose from, ensuring a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. While the food was good, the service was the real highlight. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive throughout our entire stay, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. This exceptional service elevated the entire experience, turning a pleasant meal into a truly memorable one. We initially visited as a Father's Day treat, but the quality of the facilities and the outstanding service have already convinced us to return. Fairlawns is an amazing place, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and relaxing spa day.

I stayed here over night with my partner. The room is very cosy and clean. It’s in the sticks and is Lovely and peaceful. The spa here is amazing. All facilities are clean and working. We had an evening meal which was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The thermal suite was amazing with lots of different experiences from sauna and hot tub to ice room and salt room. It’s a bit expensive but totally worth it. I would definitely recommend

Visited Fairlawns Hotel for afternoon tea. I have been for many afternoon teas before, and I can honestly say this was the best one that I've ever had. I could not pick a fault with the savoury or sweet dishes. The staff were very pleasant and the setting was beautiful and relaxed.
Jason G — Google review
I made a last-minute booking for a room with breakfast and dinner, plus access to the spa, to meet and catch up with a friend. I chose it mainly because of the location being in the middle of where we both live and the spa. But, in the end, we were both blown away with the exceptional quality of everything on offer. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we need, including AC (there was a heatwave!). Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional and completely exceeded our expectations. The food was perfect - as was the service. Then we had 3 hours in the spa on the day we checked out. Again, it was faultless. Very clean and well maintained. And the pool was very nice. We had an incredible weekend and we can’t recommend the hotel, restaurant and spa enough.

These stylish serviced apartments boast airy floor plans and stunning city views, making them perfect for those seeking a unique urban retreat. Guests can enjoy the exclusive 'Mini Spa' experience with in-room treatments while surrounded by retro-chic decor and thoughtful amenities like eco-friendly toiletries and espresso machines.
Have spent a happy couple of nights here with my foodie son. Brilliant location to explore the best of Birmingham and spoilt for choice with nearby cafes and restaurants. Outstanding views. Loads to nose at out of the huge floor to ceiling windows. Special shout out to Beryl who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A real star.

Absolutely fabulous apartments in a prime location. Full kitchen and seemingly completely sound proof. However the room was far too hot. The two industrial fans didn't help at all. Couldn't stay here due to the heat which is a shame considering how lovely the rooms were otherwise
Hex V — Google review
Wouldn't stay again. It's well located but it just felt really impersonal, not overly clean and the lifts and corridors smelt. Staff interaction is limited to the odd word, security are often sitting on reception smoking vapes. The windows are filthy, the blanket on the bed looked like it hadn't been washed in a while, there was unclean crockery in the cupboards, there's a washing machine but no dishwasher, which I feel would be more useful. My room had a massive wall in the middle of it, so the room felt very odd, the sofa is cheap, you can't see the tv from the bed and there were lots of small black insects in the bathroom. Absolutely not worth the £140 per night, particularly when I could have paid £84 on the day. Many more nicer places to stay in birmingham.

Well, what can I say, an absolutely bang on 5 star stay and service from the staff. Stayed for our anniversary. Had originally booked the mini studio which was already bigger than majority of rooms in the city but on an arrival we got upgraded to the penthouse. Rooms were clean and tidy also very tastefully decorated with a cool sixties vibe. Bean to coffee machine and fruit juicer in the kitchen an additional bonus. Veiw of the city was exceptional this was ramped up at night fall which was captivating and would of been the same regardless of room choice. From the outside the building does look a tad tired, but certainly not the case on the inside.
Paul G — Google review
The building is very easy to get to from Birmingham New Street station, within a minute walking distance The building is well maintained, reception staff were very helpful The room however needs to be cleaned better. You can see some dirt and stain in the bathroom. The shower really needs something to prevent the water from flooding the bathroom I do like the extra facilities they add to the room like automatic coffee machine and fresh oranges Excellent view, just don't open the window if you're not brave, you can really just fall through... to the roof below

Such a great shame that Staying Cool has ceased trading. Always enjoyed my stays here. Great central location, very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful views across Birmingham. Good sized rooms with all the facilities you could wish for in a serviced apartment. Comfortable beds that you don't want to get out of. I will stay here again and would highly recommend Staying Cool to anyone.

2nd visit to this hotel, rooms are a mini apartment with basics provided that you can pay to upgrade if required. Service from reception is excellent. Main thing about this hotel though is the location (literally towering over the Bullring Shopping Centre) & the views over Birmingham are amazing, especially at night. Perfect for the money, cannot fault anything & would definitely stay again & recommend.

I visit Birmingham every couple of weeks and usually stay at city centre hotels, but I thought I'd try the Rotunda on one of my trips - I absolutely didn't regret it! You're a couple of minutes from New Street Station which is so convenient. I was a little worried that checking in late might cause problems, but the security guard was present and checked me in with no issues. The views were absolutely phenomenal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the provided coffee, cereal and oranges for juicing were a really nice touch. I have to scrape the barrel for negatives! The front door wasn't particularly soundproofed so it was quite easy to hear people waiting for the lifts, but it wasn't very busy at any point during my stay - it really didn't bother me. I strongly recommend this place!

As for the room, it was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would definitely visit again. We travelled from Dublin to attend a wedding here. I cannot recommend the hotel more. You can tell a lot about a hotel by it's staff, and the staff here were exceptional. A special mention to Lucy. At one stage I thought she might have a clone as she was everywhere, doing everything, and always with a smile and a welcoming word!! Also Josh at the bar area. Reminded me of my nephew, always willing and able to help. The food was top notch, the rooms were clean , comfortable and quiet, and every area of service was done with thought and professionalism. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back!!

I recently stayed here for a work trip. Travelling from the North it was really easy to find. The car park is secure, and the outside looks incredible. The room was clean and all the facilities you'd expect. It was overly warm throughout the entire hotel. The food was ok, and the staff (pub and restaurant) were brilliant, helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be the bad planning on their part for my room. After initially booking for 1 night, I phoned them directly and requested an extension and paid there and then. Whilst at an event the day before my scheduled check out, I received a phone call from an incredibly rude receptionist asking why my possessions were still in the room. To resolve this, I was transferred to 3 different people and resulted in me being locked out of my room twice. This was all the result of an admin error and an apology would have been nice.

Here for family party. Family rooms booked well in advance but poor single bed arrangement. Only 1 bed instead of 2 provided and sheets didn’t fit. 2 girls had to top and tail. We were able to take a dog for £25 premium which was fine. The staff were all very attentive and helpful and we were able to use the pool facilities. Food was typical corporate hotel food. The location is good for the airport and access to motorways. The hotel was clean and lounge areas spacious. This is the second time we have visited due to the convenient location to Solihull.

Our stay at the Arden Hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed for 3 nights with my wife for going locally visiting some friends in midlands. Rooms not so modern, basic but clean and nice experience with a free car parking space good room service, nice bar facilities and a restaurant. Reception staff were also really cooperative and nice. Location was also great but I had difficulty during night to navigate the entry gate due to road work and blocked roads. Wish to visit again

Stayed here last week for the National Franchise Exhibition. Brought new clothes with me and left ontop of the bed forgetting to pack or double check as I was leaving. Remembered once boarding the flight back to Ireland. Called the hotel the next day as it was very late when I arrived home. Apparently housekeeping did not find anything which i hate saying this but that wpuld be a lie. Please beware when booking and double check you have everything before leaving.

Brilliant hotel, we stayed at the start and end of our holiday around our flights. It's so easy to get to the airport. Title: Deeply Disappointed – Would Not Recommend Title: Deeply Disappointed – Would Not Recommend We were genuinely excited to host our wedding here, but the experience fell far short of expectations. The air conditioning in both the venue and rooms was completely inadequate — the unit was visibly dirty, leaking, and not cooling the space, causing our £600 wedding cake to collapse by the evening. This was especially frustrating as we had been told it would be fine if the room was climate-controlled — which it clearly wasn’t. There was no proper duty manager after 7 PM despite prior assurances. When issues came up later in the evening — such as missing food allergy labels — there was no one clearly in charge to handle it. The hotel stay was also a nightmare. We had to get our room keys sorted six times, staff seemed unaware of our bookings, and the room aircon didn’t work, forcing us to leave the balcony door open all night. Since our wedding, we’ve seen similar reviews which confirms these are recurring problems. After the event, we raised all these issues and asked to escalate the complaint. Our request was ignored, and the response we received was dismissive. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion — and we left feeling let down, stressed, and incredibly disappointed. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue to future couples.

I was told that the bar was closed. it was supposed to close at 11pm.I was told to walk to tesco . I think this is wholly unreasonsble. especially as the bar closed early. Extremely disappointing stay at Cube Hotel on 13/10/25. The room I was given had no electricity, no lights, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. It was completely unlivable, and I had to leave without staying the night. I expected at least basic amenities, but this was unacceptable. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle. Would not recommend.
Syed S — Google review
I don’t usually do negative reviews, but this was a pretty bad experience. The air conditioning wasn’t working in all their rooms, but they don’t tell you this information at check-in — they just waited for me to go to the room to find out. I tried to call reception but no one was answering, so I went back downstairs to ask about the lack of ventilation/air circulation in the rooms (no windows, and the bathroom smelt musky with a tinge of sewage smell) but they just responded nonchalantly saying all the rooms are facing the same issue, with no timeframe on when it might be fixed. As I arrived late at night, I endured this for one night then checked out the next day to move to a different hotel and have been told I will get a refund for the rest of my unused stay in the next 14 days.

We stay on Friday 28th July. Even before we arrived the hotel was very helpful in that we may arrive very late and they said they accommodate that. Then from the moment we arrive till we left the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and bed linen clean, had tea/ coffee making facilities, Air conditioning. Breakfast was first class, plenty of choice including cooked breakfast which was hot. Overall could not fault anything, first classes. If we were that way again would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Not great, not terrible... Staff - no problems at all. Booked a standard room but was given a twin.... All chargers had the cables cut off - not a great look. Couldn't get low power chargers to work, activated fraud block on CC which made check in longer. Small / busy bar area Room service menu very limited, was pretty much sandwiches or pizza. Food was mediocre. Rooms felt more like a holiday inn express. Air con didn't work well & windows didn't open. Basic & dated. Although were clean. Stayed in a different Holiday inn the day before & this one just feels a below expectations for a Holiday Inn. Felt more like an express / lower budget hotel.

This hotel is very tired, the rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment. The beds have seen better days and the facilities are very limited. On saying that in all my time in staying in hotels, I have yet to find more helpful and polite staff. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices.
Debbie K — Google review
Staff are brilliant, well trained and attentive. Miss Rebecca who used to check me in, but the trainees on reception are great. However, with several heatwaves this year the air con doesn’t work in many rooms. This puts the staff in awkward conversations with customers. As a regular visitor this is my main complaint and when I ask for a room with working air con you see their stress levels rise! Not fair on the staff and needs sorting! Food is fine, but ordering via Tablet isn’t acceptable when room prices average £100-£150 per night. Where’s the service? It has to be said though, the HI Team are a lovely bunch of people.

Lived by this place for yrs. Had a stay there on my visit to midlands - it's huge !! . Lovely staff. Shame guests don't control their kids running up and down . Need signage up to BE QUIET. I was next to an exit door that needed oiling. Wedged open fire doors by swimming pool. Cold draft running under door. Used towels. Breakfast was good. Fresh ingredients. Only downside. Poached eggs done in far too much vinegar. Yuk. Didn't have twice. Would stay again

Super clean room. Child friendly activities to do whilst waiting for dinner. Large choice for meals. However, it would be nice to not watch the sad news with children present. Breakfast tables need to be cleaned quicker as the turn around was rapid as there are so many single diners. Swimming pool was ideal for families. Max depth 1.25m.

Firstly, I’m a IHG member and regular user of Holiday Inns. This one needs a lot of work. Despite both my wife and I being of more limited mobility, we were put on the floor down stairs (no lift!) and a long way from reception. The room itself is poor for a Holiday Inn - carpet outside bathroom is sopping wet, the sink blocked and heating/air conditioning flashing a spanner and U9 error code - told reception who said ‘yes, our air conditioning isn’t working. Just turn it off’. Bed seems fine and comfy and rest of room is ok, but the bathroom issues are very disappointing. The restaurant/breakfast room is also very dirty with stained floor and chairs. Not a hotel for our future stays…
Mark A — Google review
Check in; Slow, then rushed. No IHG rewards offered, had to ask later on. Room service; breakfast, see pictures. Cellophane wrapped cold plates, and paper cups with tepid water in for tea/coffee. Reception service; the guy who checked us out and refunded us, seemed to be the most professional. Who ever said 'perfect' to me on the request of refunds and checking out a night early over the phone, needs retraining. You being busy is not my concern either. Room was the only decent part, although the fridge had been left open in the cupboard, so was warm, and looked like it had leaked. Also the coffee machine only dispensers 'shots' of tepid water. Stayed a few times here, as close to family, never any issues. Many other IHG properties too, this has been the worst experience we've had, in any hotel stay.

Penta Hotel is a modern and hip hotel located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. It offers stylish, contemporary rooms with free Wi-Fi and a bar/restaurant. The main attractions are the city maps above the beds, the PS4 gaming room, and the on-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Myself and daughter really enjoyed our 1 night stay here. After booking elsewhere, and that accommodation being unsuitable, I contacted b&b hotel first thing in the morning. Thankfully they had a recently refurbished room available and allowed us to check in as soon as we could get there, to shower the grime of the previous accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pricing was amazing. Breakfast was great and the pool table offered hours of entertainment for us both. We will definitely be returning.

This happened last Saturday. I ordered a breakfast bag from this hotel through the Too Good To Go app. The collection time was clearly stated as 10:00–10:30 AM. I arrived at the hotel around 10:10, only to be informed by a woman with glasses that the pickup time had been changed to 10:30. She simply told me, “You can either wait or leave.” I explained that I had something to do at 10:30 and couldn’t wait. When I asked why I wasn’t informed earlier, she said it was a third-party app and had nothing to do with them. To me, this clearly sounded like an attempt to avoid responsibility. I find it hard to believe that Too Good To Go wouldn’t have informed me immediately if they had been notified in time. In fact, the app only sent the time change notification at 10:18 AM—by which point I had already left the hotel. This suggests either the hotel informed the platform too late, or didn’t inform them at all. What was even more frustrating was the lack of effort from the hotel staff to resolve the issue on the spot. No apology, no solution—just “you can wait or leave.” Although the amount of money involved was small, the hotel’s dismissive attitude was extremely disappointing. It shows poor staff training and a lack of concern for customer experience. The staff member I dealt with was unprofessional and unhelpful. If the hotel caused the delay, they should have taken responsibility and tried to help—not just shifted the blame and left the customer with no option. I wasn’t planning to leave a negative review, but the way this was handled left me no choice. I hope this helps others understand what to expect, and I sincerely hope the hotel takes steps to improve their service. I also sent a formal complaint email to the hotel management shortly after the incident. It has now been four days, and I’ve received no response at all—not even an acknowledgment. I didn’t expect much in terms of compensation, but I did expect at least a reply or some sign that the issue was being taken seriously. Sadly, this lack of response only confirms my impression: the hotel does not care about customer feedback, nor does it take responsibility for its service failures.

The bar area on the first floor was gorgeous. So it's a shame that after August, it won't be there because the look doesn't fit the B&B look. Aside from this, the hotel is in a great spot with easy access to restaurants and bars, and the staff are really friendly.

Honestly, THE best hotel stay for a city. From the moment I arrived everything was perfect. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, a massive shout out to Gerg (sorry for the spelling), she couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was everything and more that you could of wanted. The room was very calm and quiet, hot shower, comfy bed and all for an amazing price 🥰! I will definitely be back and spreading the word for this hotel. Hive yourselves a bow !

Great newly renovated room with good tv, clean shower facilities, and comfy beds. Breakfast offering was really good - and the whole experience was very reasonably priced. Easy access to the Bullring, Chinatown and the rest of Birmingham city centre.

Conflicted with this hotel. The communal areas are well finished, the rooms are anything but. Staff at check in and breakfast were really nice. Breakfast had an ok selection, but is a bit cramped. Gym is quite small, but the equipment was all modern and working. Can't fit more than 2/3 in at any one time. Rooms were really awful. Carpets were full of stains and looked threadbare. Marks and scuffs all over the walls. Walk in shower was really good. Just really desperately need a revamp. No irons, only a handheld steamer which you need to sign out from reception.
Mick C — Google review
Location was good, and the bed and room where very comfortable. However the Internet quailty was exceptionally poor, and unable to handle even basic streaming let alone being able to make calls, access files and use remote gaming. In addition, there was no iron/ironing board available, only a steamer which isn't not as effective. Not really suitable for bussiness stays.

Great value for money, stayed 1 night for Guns n Roses concert. Lovely staff, spotless twin room, great breakfast with good variety for any taste (traditional British or lighter selections). Easy to find, close to railway. Enjoy a few games of American pool after breakfast before our departure. Would stay again if ever return to Birmingham)

Nestled in a charming parkland area, the Ramada by Wyndham Birmingham Sutton Coldfield is an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation without breaking the bank. This unpretentious hotel boasts a range of amenities designed to enhance your stay, including an inviting indoor pool, sauna, and steam room—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Guests can indulge in affordable spa treatments while enjoying full access to leisure facilities.
Me and my partner stopped here for a friend's wedding. The room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view. It was a little dated and needed some upkeep (wallpaper was ripped on one wall and a couple of tiles had been gaffer taped rather than repaired). Bedding was clean, had a TV, water, coffee making facilities. Walking around the grounds was lovely and relaxing. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was a little tricky to find as the hotel is big but the layout was like a maze!<br/>The room where the wedding reception was held had been decorated beautifully. Again, clean, bright and the food supplied was tasty. Prices were dear at the bar (one pint and gin with lemonade - £10).

I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times and it's not great. This is a shame as the grounds are lovely and it's clear the gym has had some money spent on it. The first time I stayed there was no heating in my room, so was given an electric heater. No offer of a room change. Then the fire alarm went off in the early hours. Not a great start. My room was at the top of the stairs which would've been ok if it wasn't for the floor being so creaky and noisy, and it was clear the fan in the shower had never been cleaned - it was black from dirt and grime. I've had colleagues who had duck tape on the floor in their rooms as there was damage to the flooring. This hotel needs a major refurbishment. If it was half decent I'd stay as the gym is excellent, however I'm afraid it simply isn't. If the hotel

We stayed here for 1 night on 17/8/19. What we liked: - The grounds are impressive. - Breakfast was excellent - good selection of cold and cooked items. What we didn’t like: - Hotel generally needs updating. Having said that, they were doing some improvement works to the corridor carpets, so hopefully they continue to update the whole hotel. - Water pressure for the shower wasn’t great. Felt like a trickle! We went with friends and they had also noted the same in their rooms. - Toilet seat was broken. Seems like they need to keep on top of general maintenance. I’m sure housekeeping would have noticed this when cleaning. I can’t comment on the leisure facilities as we didn’t use them.

I came here with my son as a last minute emergency. I chose this hotel as for the price it came with best facilities such as the swimming pool. I had previously stayed at a hotel the day before and I can honestly say this hotels swimming pool and facilities were 100 x cleaner and better. I ran into a few problems with the room at first as I did not like the one I was put in. When I went to the reception a guy called Mohammed was there. I can honestly say he saved my day. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and I can honestly say he has been the best service I come across. I also witnessed him with a guest in front who was having a moan but seemed intoxicated and he managed to calm her down and she seemed happy in the end. Any problems I had he was happy to fix efficiently he was very very understanding and co operative. Reading the reviews I agree that some of the rooms are dated but I seen a few and they all seemed clean from what I seen. My advice will be upgrade if you can as the rooms are very nice for a little extra money. The grounds are beautiful and staff are very good. I would stay here again due to the service of the staff I would just upgrade my room to the exec or suite
Jemma-Leah J — Google review
I was torn between 2 & 3 stars for this hotel. Had it not been for the fact that the grounds are beautiful, and the location of the hotel itself, then 2 stars would have been the score. The hotel is I assume, an old stately home of dome type, certainly some of the outer features would suggest that. The grounds are spacious, lush & relatively well maintained, as is the steam that runs alongside the property. Though litter & overflowing bins did blight the grounds somewhat. There is a fitness suite adjacent to the hotel, complete with a hair studio & swimming pool with a upstairs viewing area & bar. However, they are the good points. The room was large & the bathroom too, was a good size. So far so good. But the shower heads all need a good descaling or replacing, as this was affecting water flow - especially for the jets behind you for a "Japanese Shower". On the final evening, the water pressure dropped completely & I was left having to cup my hands to catch the drips from the shower, just so I could finish rinsing soap off. The toilet was also affected, so couldn't use that from 8.30pm till checkout the next morning. Finally, the beds & pillows. In short, they were dreadful. Springs could be felt when you lay down & pillows that gave no support to your head at all, just straight through to the mattress. For a big chain (that's part of the Hilton Group), I'd expect far far better than what I received. Not sure I would return sadly.

The Birmingham Marriott Hotel is a luxurious 4-star hotel in central Birmingham, close to the ICC. The hotel offers stylish accommodation and a range of amenities, including a spa and pool.
Stayed at Delta Hotels by Marriott Birmingham and had a really good experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained with a comfortable lobby and bar area. My room was spacious, quiet, and had everything I needed for a work trip. The staff were professional and friendly, check-in was smooth, and breakfast had a good variety. The location is very central – easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and New Street Station. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Birmingham.

I regularly use Delta for work. Overall it’s a good hotel with really good staff who are friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size and the beds decent. The bathrooms are all somewhat dated and I believe they all have showers over the bath, which for a taller person is a little annoying as the shower heads are never very high. One major downside for me is the adjoining door to the next room. Again all the times I’ve stay they’ve all had them. This results in your hearing a lot more from your neighbour. My last stay I got to hear all the telephone conversations. My only other slight gripe, due to the age of the building is the lack of accessible plugs, so make sure you bring a long cable! Overall the condition of the rooms are good and very clean. Parking is good and there is also free EV charging when available.
Jim D — Google review
This is an exceptionally clean and well run hotel. There was ample parking although charged at £15 a day which is reasonable given the location. We stayed on the first floor in a family room which was spacious. Bathroom was a little dated. The sink had been replaced in the past and the size didn’t match the aperture of the worktop. I personally didn’t like the shower bath, that was mainly due to the lack of room. Poor positioning of grab rails meant it was rather cramped. Water pressure was low perhaps turned down to prevent the bathroom being flooded by the shower. Minor grumbles. It was very clean. Bar has a good selection but disappointing to see it closed at 10pm. Perhaps that’s different on a weekend. Nice touch with a drinks voucher on arrival and water machine. Ps chocolate brownies at reception were lovely. It’s the little things that make the difference! Reception staff were a little cold on arrival but I guess most that stay are business bookings not families. Breakfast was really enjoyable. Good quality throughout. The gentleman who runs the breakfast front of house is exceptional! Very efficient but friendly and attentive throughout. Sadly didn’t ask his name but may be Hungarian. There were employees how were not so engaging and to be honest were lazy in comparison. To the powers that be give this chap the opportunity to educate the rest of the team. We really enjoyed our stay and at every Marriott we stay at. We may not have the need to stay here again but would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for a work trip. Room and bathroom were huge! Staff were really helpful, had an issue with my room heating staying on, they did what they could to fix it and then moved me to a different room without any issue when it couldn't be fixed. Breakfast was really nice and a good selection.

Helpful staff and great location. You have to pay £15 for parking for a night but the area is quite central, so it’s not a big amount if you consider location. Gym is open 24/7 which is a big plus. All in all, it’s a good place to stay

A great hotel in a very convenient location! A few minute walk from Five Ways Train Station, a Morrisons a few minutes walk away, and about 15m walk to Victoria Square and the hub of the area. The hotel is wonderful and cosy. It is pretty decent they give free water and coffee. The place needs a few things fixed like a new paint in some of the rooms. It has a lot of places nearby. It has buses and trains near as well. It is a secure building. You need a key to get into the building and the lift or stairs they even have security late at night to make sure you actually stay in the building. It was also very quiet and nice

Lovely place to stay, a little home from home; room had a little kitchen with fridge, microwave, hob and dishwasher, it also included a kettle and coffee maker and provided cutlery, crockery and dishsoap. Bathroom was nice, had a few areas of wear and tear but thats to be expected and the heated towel rack didnt work but that wasnt an issue for us. Beds and overally room were comfortable with aircon and a good size tv that offered freeview, wifi was free and very good compared to other places I have stayed. Location was good for what I was there for, located between the bullring and the venue. Doesnt have its own carpark but there are a few carparks nearby like the bullring carpark just up the road, moor street or selfridges carpark just behind or another small carpark just across the road, we parked in the moor street carpark over night, only issue with this was it acted strange when it came to paying to leave saying our ticket had been used, had to select lost ticket option which was a little confusing

This is a modern building, just five minutes walk from entry into the Bullring shopping centre. We stayed in a 50sqm 1-bedroom apartment, which was great. The bathroom and kitchen were good. Converting the sofa into a bed took a bit of work. We paid just under £300 for three nights in August, on a flexible rate. Compared to Ireland, that is great value.

It was a great hotel as it has a mini kitchen with microwave and fridge and sink, you can cook foods and things. The bedroom is nice, clean, big screen tv. Great price and definitely worth it. However the location of hotel is in the middle of digbeth, and loacted at the back of police station. There is alot of noise, clubbers making alot of noise from 3am onwards which kept me awake. Reception staff are okay however they didn't check on the system that I already paid on booking.com and the hotel staff wanted me to pay for the room again. I explained I paid and then his supervisor checked and verified I paid. Also they make you pay £100 deposit incase of any damages. This can be a inconvenience. So be mindful before booking.

Nestled in the charming Edgbaston district, Cobden Hotel offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for travelers seeking comfort without the frills. Just a short stroll from Cannon Hill Park, this hotel features straightforward accommodations alongside a classic restaurant and an inviting indoor pool with spa facilities. Guests can enjoy a diverse menu at affordable prices, complemented by bar offerings that rival local pubs. While some areas may show signs of age, the dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure visitors feel welcome and cared for.
Hagley Road ofcourse isn’t the nicest, but we were made homeless by a private landlord and have lived in Cobden for 4 months now and finally going to a temporary accommodation in a few days. The time we have been here really makes me appreciate the staff working behind the desk and no doubt around the hotel. Amazing experience and really made me believe life is what you make it. My only problem would be the bugs (mainly on first floor) and the very rude cleaner that cleaned our room on the first floor after we had moved rooms, I don’t know her name and I also don’t care too. She was a Jamaica women and as we were going to put a wash on one day she asked if we was in (said room) we said yes and before we got to finish by saying but we moved out of it over a week ago she started calling us dirty people and to flush to toilet. (Bare in mind we left this room in brilliant condition as we had vacuumed emptied and sprayed the room when leaving) we of course shouted back and the situation escalated. After she found out someone else had been using the room after us she “came to apologise” this was not an apology but ended in another argument where we told her to stop raising her voice and she replied “ i’m Jamaican” which has nothing to do with the matter. Continuing she made comments towards me and my child “my kids older then both of you and you call yourself parents” *OR SOMETHING ALONG THEM LINES*I can’t remember exactly as it was a few months ago. But again everything else was perfect I would just avoid her.

I would not recommend this hotel at all, my friend moved in there today heavily pregnant as she’s homeless poor girl phoned me broken down to me saying she doesn’t want to be there she had to move into a room that was filthy. She has no storage to put things, broken draws, she opened one of the draws that wasn’t broken and had 4 empty cans of Stella, then she has someone telling her to look out for mould, bedbugs and other bugs that are there. Absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend at all

I wouldn't give not even a star, It's a horrible in all it's matters. In one night the ceiling has dropped right above my son's bed, fortunately he has fall asleep in my bed that night. Also hot water water problem, when i complained to the receptionist, barely after more than to10 days resolved.Plus kitchen useless hub,we have to stay in the queue to cook because the stove doesn't work for years and staff don't care about.

Birmingham City Council have placed me here after I split from my partner and became homeless with my two children, 4 years old and 8 months old. We are being bitten by bed bugs every single night, the staff have sprayed my bed several times but that hasn't helped at all. I requested a new mattress from their storage, they said they will swap my current mattress for a new one but I'm still waiting and chasing them up about it. I have bites all over my feet, legs, arms and back.. one of the bites on my leg is infected so is constantly swollen, weeping and bleeding. My 8 month old has bites on her hands, arms and on the back of her head.. when staff were told about my 8 month old's bites and shown physical proof, their response was "oh.. well I've never heard of bed bugs being in a cot-bed before" there clearly is an infestation in her cot-bed though as I don't allow her to sleep in the bed and she has bites?! I've only seen two cockroaches since I moved here 2 months ago but still, there shouldn't be any at all. Staff told me when I moved in that kids are to be in their rooms by 9pm the latest and there are signs around the building that also state this, the signs also state kids shouldn't be running around, left unattended or being noisy.. kids are running round screaming and playing way past 9pm in the reception area, on the stairs, and in the corridors every single night.. staff, including the security guard do absolutely nothing. Anxiety is at an all-time high since I've been placed here.

It's cheap and cheerful, needs a bit of money spent on it. Very busy on weekends don't know what it's like Mon to Fri. Staff are hard working, they seem to be here constantly. The restaurant menu has lots of choice with affordable prices. Bar prices are comparable with local pubs and has loads of cocktail and shots offers. It seems as though they are slowly improving the place but it is slow. The shower water pressure is extremely fierce, some people might like this. Lovely firm mattresses but they haven't upgraded the bedding. The sheets cannot be tucked in on both sides of the bed because the mattress is too big. All in all a very popular hotel.
Roy D — Google review
Good location, friendly and helpful staff. The building and facilities are dated; some noise dampening in the corridors and room doors would not go amiss. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The bathroom was also well maintained, with no grotty spots hiding. For the price, the experience was good.

Amazing food. Really great, personable and hospitable service. Would love to go there again. We struggled at the beginning to figure out where to go. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to our friends and family. Joanne, Mark, Ben and Harry

Our stay at Hampton Manor was part of our businesses 10 year celebration. It was an opportunity to get together, have some fun and enjoy ourselves. Hampton Manor did not disappoint. From the welcome at reception by Tee, the cooking class with Chris, the wine tasting with James, walks around the grounds, the rooms and the evening dinner, again by Chris and colleagues providing great service with outstanding food, we all had a fabulous time. Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you again soon, Andy

One of the best hotel experiences I've had in the UK in a very very long time! The staff were truly exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was everything I'd hoped it would be. Highly recommend Hampton Manor.

Just come back from a wedding and over night stay. It was amazing from start to finish. Food and service top class. And my room was lovely. Recommend it to anyone.

Be very very careful! these people stole my deposit of £150 and refused to return it after my stay at one of their places. they claim the property i stayed in had been "smoked" in when I was staying in the room with my wife and neither of us smoke...... Do not get scammed by these people. the pictures are all a catfish and the place isnt even worth £30 a day. they should be shut down for stealing deposits like its daylight robbery! scummy company been 7 months since I stayed here and still no deposit returned
