Cusco in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Cusco, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Cusco or Cuzco is the heart of the ancient Inca empire. The Peruvian city is a blend of cultures, colonial history, and Andean tradition. The city center is a popular destination on its own—it was built by Spanish conquistadors in the 15th century. Inca structures, such as the famous Plaza de Armas, have been remarkably preserved. Archaeological sites on the Inca Trail and at Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley are within a day's trip.
With favorites like Inkazuela, Organika Restaurant, and Pachapapa, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Ceviche Seafood Kitchen and Cervecería Del Valle Sagrado Cusco Centro so you can get the best taste of Cusco while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Plaza Mayor de Cusco, also known as Plaza de Armas, is a vibrant urban hub featuring colonial arcades, a cathedral, gardens, and a central fountain. It serves as the starting point for exploring major Cusco attractions such as Qoricancha and La Catedral. Visitors can immerse themselves in the city's culture by browsing through various shops and markets along the way. The square also hosts religious and cultural celebrations with music and dancing filling the streets.
Beautiful large square with old colonial vibes where you can find good restaurants, tour agencies and shops. It's the touristic center of the city and busy from day to night. Moreover, we always felt safe and at ease wandering around.
Konstantinos K — Google review
Plaza de Armas is the vibrant centerpiece of Cusco, surrounded by stunning colonial architecture and historic churches, including the Cusco Cathedral and the Church of La Compañía de Jesús. The square is always bustling with locals, tourists, and street performers, creating a lively atmosphere that reflects the city’s rich culture and history. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a coffee at one of the nearby cafes, shop for local crafts, or simply watch the world go by. The views of the surrounding Incan and colonial buildings make it a photographer’s paradise, and it’s also the starting point for many walking tours around Cusco. Overall, Plaza de Armas is a must-visit landmark in Cusco, offering a perfect mix of history, culture, and vibrant city life.
Purba D — Google review
Hi there Plaza de Armas is the beating heart of Cusco — vibrant, historic, and full of life day and night. Surrounded by stunning colonial architecture and the majestic cathedral, it’s the perfect spot to feel the city’s rhythm. You can sit on a bench and people-watch for hours, enjoy a pisco sour on one of the balconies, or just take in the mountain air and lively energy. Musicians, locals, and travelers all mix together here, giving it that timeless Andean charm. Don't go for the day trips they sell here, not of those are just typical holiday scheme sales trips. A must-visit — day for history, night for magic.

Beautiful city center full of life and great energy! The historic center of Cusco is absolutely charming — the atmosphere is vibrant, and every street feels alive with culture and history. The colonial buildings, stone streets, and local markets create a magical vibe. It’s a perfect place to walk around, enjoy the beautiful architecture, meet friendly people, and feel the unique energy of this ancient Inca capital. Day or night, the Plaza de Armas is always full of good vibes and unforgettable moments !
Aymen C — Google review
Visiting the Plaza de Armas in Cusco was an outstanding experience. The elegance of the colonial architecture, the buzzing atmosphere of cafés and street life around the square, and the views at dusk made it a highlight of our trip. The cathedral and surrounding buildings are beautifully lit at night, which adds a magical touch. The location is unbeatable for exploring Cusco — everything is within walking distance. On the downside, being so central means it can be quite busy and noisy, so if you stay right on the square, consider bringing ear-plugs and checking for balcony rooms during quiet hours. Overall: highly recommended for a first-time visit to Cusco!
Masaki K — Google review
The main plaza in Cusco. There is always something to do here even if itbis just watching the people. Seems to be a little bit more lively at night then the day. On one end of the square is the church of the society of christ. On anthother side is the cusco catherdal. The other two sides have shops entries. Amazing architectural all around. Flowers trees and a fountain in the center. The day i went theyvhad free musical entertainment.
Craig B — Google review
Beautiful, historical area with amazing architecture. A lot of tourists and a lot of independent local street vendors trying to sell you anything from key chains to paintings to tours every ten steps you take. You seriously can not just sit and relax for over five minutes. You'll end up there no matter what if you're in Cusco and I still recommend it.
Barnali D — Google review
Beautiful place. Great energy and enjoy stay there. Sun or rain everything is something you can enjoy there. If you want to go Machupicchu get the tickets 3 months in advance Ruta 2-A is the best. Is my 3rd time time in Cuzco. Rent an Airbnb, is less expensive is you have more family with you. Buy the train tickets as soon you arrived in Cuzco city, we choose “Expedition” under Peru Rail is around $150 round trip from Cuzco - San Pedro Station (we have a baby 1 year old was easy for us, Is about 4 hrs 30 minutes) to Machupicchu Pueblo. And Machupicchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo. Next took a car just pay S/.20 soles from Ollantaytambo to Cusco city per person. Is faster than took train. We didn’t get a tour; we did it in our time, was much better. Take a taxi and choose which place you really want to see and you will able to walk. Relax and have fun. People is really nice. We use Uber all the time. Enjoy 🇵🇪

The Twelve Angled Stone, located in Cusco, Peru, is a remarkable example of Inca masonry. This legendary stone is part of a wall built by the Inca Pachacuti and showcases their advanced stone-cutting techniques. What makes it special is its perfect finish and precisely interlocking surface with twelve angles that fit seamlessly without mortar.
A commercial and very busy tourist place. Excursion groups are taken here to show huge stones, laid in a typical Inca culture without cement and very smoothly hewn. The height and power of these stones on both sides of the road are impressive. There are many souvenir shops, massage and cafes nearby.

An amazing place to visit. Will blow your mind!!!

Its just another rock in a wall....or is it not? Maybe this stone is so unique it deserves all the legends and should have a Hollywood movie about it.
J. S — Google review
An interesting bit of Inca history that you can get right up close to in the city. Be prepared for a lot of tourists and you’ll be pitched to be restaurants and vendors in this area.
Our F — Google review
This stone is a genuine architectural wonder and an essential stop in Cusco. Located on the wall of Hatun Rumiyoq, it perfectly showcases the precision and skill of Inca masonry. The fact that this single stone has twelve perfectly cut angles that flawlessly interlock with the surrounding stones, all without mortar, is absolutely astounding. It's a powerful reminder of how advanced the Inca civilization was. The wall has survived countless earthquakes, proving its structural brilliance. It is always busy with tourists, but take a moment to really examine its perfection—it's worth the wait!
Michal R — Google review
It's cool, the fact that it was done so long ago is impressive, but in the end it's just a wall, not worth a special trip. It is right in the middle of the shopping section, so easy to find and worth visiting if you are already there.

Hard to believe how they did that! It is a public space, no need to purchase tickets but you need patience to be able to take a picture since it can be crowded.

Cathedral
Catholic church
Cusco Cathedral, constructed in the 16th and 17th centuries, is a grand structure adorned with colonial paintings. The cathedral was built over many years by various architects and masters, using stones from the Sacsayhuaman complex. It houses impressive pieces of art including 256 silver items and a silver monstrance embellished with pearls, rubies, amethysts, sapphires, and topazes.
If you’re visiting this cathedral you might as well pay 2.5 euro extra to visit San Cristobal and the archbishop’s museum, the inca museum and some other places. The former has a bell tower with a nice view of Cusco and the latter has quite a few impressive pieces of art. No pictures allowed here.

Nice church but the unique thing to see here is the last supper painting depicting cuy (guinea pig) as the main course, a one of a kind treasure by Marcos Zapata..

A catherdal built in the 16th century though it was restored after the 1671 earthquake. It has many paintings throughout. Crypts can be found inside. The have many places showing joesph holding baby Jesus instead of Mary. They also have the grandparents of Mary. A uneso recognized site as seen by the blue and white symbol outside.
Craig B — Google review
Lovely church. The sad part is they charge to enter, but you can not take any photos inside.
Roger G — Google review
Beautiful cathedral that you can visit in about half an hour without a guide. There is not much to read to learn about the place unfortunately. You got to notice the wigs they put to the statues!

It was a good experience to see what the Spanish colonization did to the aboriginal people's places. The architecture is nice from the outside and inside as well. The highlight of the whole cathedral is the picture inside where Pizzaro is represented as the person who ruined the Inca culture. Thank you 🇵🇪

Wonderful histories! Don't miss the Last Supper with guinea pig on the table and countless examples of syncretistic art... Especially in the original side chapel Madonnas and the "black" Jesus chapel and story of it's annual use and relation to the earthquakes in 1650 & 1950. I LOVED the actual car covered completely in silver still used in Corpus Christi parades.
Jim M — Google review
40 soles entrance fee for the cathedral ( most churches around the world are 100% free) and we are not allowed to take a picture. This whole town feels like one big tourist scam, no wonder most people recommend only 2 days in here.

Restaurant
Morena Peruvian Kitchen is a sophisticated restaurant located in the heart of Cusco, offering stunning views and an exceptional dining experience. The menu features a mix of traditional Peruvian dishes, including the highly recommended Lomo Saltado. This culinary gem not only delights guests with its exquisite flavors but also upholds a commitment to sustainability and authenticity.
I loved absolutely everything about Morena Peruvian kitchen. I took a chance by walking in without a reservation and got a spot at the bar pretty quickly. The server was so nice and helped me pick out my meal. The drink special of the day was a fruiting pisco drink with passion fruit. The bartender demonstrated how to make the entire drink using super fresh ingredients. The scallop explosion were little delicious mouth fireworks of flavor. The alpaca risotto was cooked perfectly and was super tasty. The risotto was tiny cubed potato’s which surprised me, especially bc I was expecting rice. It was good, but I’m not a potato persons, so I would have preferred rice risotto. It start to pour outside which I could see from the windows overlooking plaza de armas. So, I got the chocolate desert which comes in a cocoa pod. It was very yummy, not overly sweet, and paired great with an espresso. The team allowed me to wait out the rain and let me fully enjoy my delicious meal. One of my main highlights from this trip. The bathroom was super clean and has plenty of tissue paper and great soap

I loved this place so much! From the decor, to the incredible service, to the main highlight the food. The food was fantastic, we got complimentary bread and then ordered the guacamole which was excellent. I got the alpaca with potatoes and a pisco sour and everything was excellent. The staff there are so warm and friendly. I highly recommend

Lovely experience at Morena and by far, the best I’ve had at Cusco! The drinks were 11/10, I recommend you get the house special so you can get the table side cocktail prep. The food.. immaculate 100/10. Super delicious and quite a diverse menu. Don’t be scared to order the cuy or the alpaca. Service was great, staff was attentive yet a bit obnoxious upon the kitchen closing. Price was quite impressive. Despite ordering multiple drinks, an appetizer and a main entree for each, we paid less than USD $100 in total, a shocker for us that reside within the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area.

Morena came highly recommended on the forums I looked at prior to booking our vacation. The location is fabulous as it faces the city center. The staff was friendly enough however, when I booked our reservation, I specifically stated we were celebrating our honeymoon. We were originally seated at a table away from the windows and view, but within a few minutes a window table opened up. When my husband asked for us to be moved to a window table our waiter didn’t even ask the hostess, my husband then went downstairs to speak to the hostess that gave him a hard time, but eventually moved us. When we changed tables, we also changed waiters the second waiter was lovely. The octopus was delicious and the beef tartar was good. I got the gnocchi which was OK. My husband got the seafood pasta. Both the Pisco sour and the Pisco punch were very good. We didn’t have dessert. The view was fantastic, but there are also a few other fine dining restaurants that I’m sure have the same view and maybe better service
Kelly D — Google review
One of the best food experiences I’ve ever had. I could have kissed the chef on the face. Must try the ceviche. Extremely friendly service. We walked in as soon as they opened so we didn’t need a reservation. If you want to treat yourself to a memorable meal, this is the place.

If you are in town, please please please go to this restaurant. It is one of the best I have eaten around the world. Our group loved it so much we are here a second time in our second night in Cusco. When I say it's one of the best in the world It's no exaggeration. Everything is good here (food, ambiance, service) and to die for, and very decently priced. The servers were so nice we asked if we could take the cocoa pod they serve the desert in hime. They took it back, cleaned it up and gave it to us wrapped up. I miss this place, and the experience of eating here blew me away more than Machu Picchu.

Couldn't recommend this restaurant more. The atmosphere is calm sophisticated but has a little life. The service is top notch and super professional - you feel really loved after, easily services by 4-5 staff. Good - incredible.

Best food and service in Cusco! We were having lunch on our first day in Cusco and after trying other places, we end up coming back because it was the best food by far! We saw some reviews saying it’s pricey but… we actually found it cheap for the quality we received. Highly recommended

ChocoMuseo, located near Plaza Regocijo in Cusco, is a unique museum dedicated to cocoa and chocolate. It offers guided tours, tastings, and workshops on chocolate making. The museum features a small exhibit at the back of the shop and an artisan chocolate factory that produces a wide variety of organic chocolates using grains grown in Cusco.
Really cool experience for the whole family. The guy leading the chocolate making class was Luis and he was great. Super entertaining and fun! I loved that we got to learn a lot as a family and the kids were super engaged. We did not eat here (other than chocolate) but I saw others eating and it looked good. I would for sure recommend this as a fun thing to do with the family!
Michael H — Google review
Cool museum experience but the chocolate cake is dry and tasted stale, the alfajores cookies with chocolate were also dry and tasted artificial. Very disappointing considering we’re in the factory where it’s supposed to be made fresh. Overall wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. The cacao tea was pretty tasty and unique, however. We didn’t do the workshop. It seemed interesting but maybe overpriced.
Marko G — Google review
We had a wonderful time with the tour which was so educational and well articulated by Miguel. He was so nice and professional. We love all their products especially the chocolate tea. We ate at the restaurant with fantastic servers and ambiance. We made our own chocolate drinks. The empanadas were average.
Ron R — Google review
The Choco museum was pretty cool, but smaller than we thought. On the first floor, they had a chocolate making workshop and there were a few people who attended the class while we were there. If you go up the stairs, they have an array of chocolate displayed, and they were giving samples out. Samples were delicious. One thing I noticed is they don’t use palm oil like they do in the US. They use cocoa butter, which is so much better and healthier for you. The chocolates here are a little pricier than other places across Cusco, but the service was great. We even like some of the chocolate sculptures they had. They are two locations in Cusco, and we only went to this one. Thumbs up.

Free entry. Smallish place. Basically two floors. Downstairs is the cashier & toilets. Upstairs chocolate, liquor of all kinds. Free samples.

We did the chocolate making workshop and absolutely loved it!! We learned so much about the chocolate making process, were able to try so many different types of chocolate, and got to make our own!! Also filling the molds with chocolate and toppings was a blast, a great souvenir!!
Katie F — Google review
Very rich and good quality hot chocolate! And the chicken empanada is to die for! It was so so good that I miss it! The crepe was loaded with strawberries and bananas, up until the last bite. It was my first time having it like this because usually others scrimp on ingredients with what they put inside the crepe, but here it was different. They also offer chocolate making classes. But I suggest to find deals online and don’t come as walk in because they charge 10x more. Highly recommend this place!
Precious M — Google review
So we texted them in the morning asking for a reservation. They had us at 1000am at the Regocijo location but I misread the text and it was a Spanish class. When we arrived he said the other location on Hatunrumiyoc had room for us and it was an English class. We ran, jogged and got there on time to be told sorry no room. Guy there was rude and basically starred at us like why are you still here. We contacted them again on what’s app and they placed in the 1pm class at Regojico. Giving us a discount we attended the 2 hour bean to bar class. It was awesome. We learned a lot about chocolate and in the end got to take our chocolate home. Highly recommends

Ceviche Seafood Kitchen, also known as Ceviche Meat & Wine Co., is a stylish cevicheria located on the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. The restaurant offers a modern and upscale dining experience with professional and friendly staff. It prides itself on using the best fish, shellfish, and local ingredients to create traditional Peruvian ceviche dishes. Despite its prime location, it's not just a tourist trap; the quality of food is top-notch.
Great food. Some of the dishes were missing, but eventually we took 3 local dishes that were very tasty. The dishes are also big and worth your money. Cocktails were also done good and weren’t filled with sugar which is a risk in ordering cocktails. Atmosphere is great and the place has nice design.

We had early dinner on a Thursday night, group of 8. The piscos and the ceviches were great, as well as the trout and the trio. The beef was so-so. The pistacho cheesecake and the Muña teas were great to end the night. Excellent service, we felt very welcomed.
Oscar A — Google review
The best culinary experience I had in Peru! Absolutely delicious food, with the restaurant able to accommodate our group's dietary restrictions (only seafood). Our server, Jeanie, provided a service level not seen even in a 5-star hotel restaurant. She even demonstrated the spiciness level of Peruvian chillies by actually bringing all varieties of them on our table. Classy! The food was beautifully presented like a fine dining setup and the taste matches the look. We actually left the restaurant feeling that we know more about Peruvian culture and food.

We didn’t have a reservation but were luckily able to get seats by the kitchen counter. Absolutely amazing food, great service, very friendly staff and well priced. There are tables overlooking the plaza. Highly recommend. We tried the Barrio Ceviche and Garlic and Chilli prawns and are already thinking of going back during our stay in Cusco.

We had a great experience at Ceviche, located right next to Plaza de Armas in Cusco. The place is bright and modern, with an open kitchen and a fantastic view of the plaza. The seafood dishes were delicious, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. For families, Ceviche is an excellent choice. They gave our child materials to paint with and even offered him a complimentary dessert, which he loved. The kids' menu is healthy and appealing, making it easy for parents to relax and enjoy their meal. One downside was that some dishes were a bit too salty and over-seasoned. Despite this, we really enjoyed our visit and would recommend Ceviche for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Peruvian seafood in a lovely setting.

The garlic chilli prawns and guac was 10/10. The pork belly wasn't really crispy, but flavour was great. Lots of English speaking staff and a good atmosphere. Very happy with it all!

Such a cute place! The food was good and the service even better!! They were so accommodating. The shrimp lettuce wraps are a must! I ordered the trout which was great. All the juices had amazing presentation and tasty. The ceviche was not the best in Cusco but was enjoyable. My friend didn't like the ribeye but the server was quick to respond and make everything right!

Cervecería Del Valle Sagrado Cusco Centro is a popular spot in Cusco known for its delicious craft beers and tasty food. Visitors can enjoy live music performances while savoring the flavorful brews and delectable dishes that complement the drinks perfectly. The friendly and attentive staff are passionate about their craft, providing excellent service and guidance in choosing from the extensive beer menu.
So glad we stopped here in Cusco! We came for the beer, but were very impressed by the food. Our favorites were the IPAs and the cider. The tritado and mushroom fries were incredible! Also sitting on the balcony was just lovely.

We had a great experience at Cervecería del Valle in Cusco! The place was absolutely packed with a live band, yet our server Medaly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She was attentive, prompt, and incredibly kind — even finding us a spot to sit when it looked impossible. The service really stood out and made our night even better. Highly recommend this place for great beer, lively atmosphere, and outstanding service.

Cervecería del Valle Sagrado delivered everything we hoped for and more. We arrived on a Saturday night and were welcomed by the house dog, a beautiful black cocker spaniel who gives high fives—a fun touch that set the tone. The room was busy and buzzing with live music playing American classic rock, but the team never missed a beat. Service was attentive, friendly, and impressively quick. The beer list shows real craft chops, and the cocktails are thoughtful. My favorite drink was the chicha morada pisco sour—an elegant twist on the classic pisco sour we grew to love in Arequipa. For food, the fish and chips featured breaded trout with a fresh salad and fries—an adult take on an old favorite that was crispy, well-seasoned, and not heavy. Between the lively atmosphere, excellent drinks, and polished service, this place is an easy must-visit in Cusco.

We visited several breweries in Cusco but this was our favorite and the one we kept coming back to. Loved the beer here, especially the Del Valle Brew Fest stout. Service was friendly and attentive and the space itself is large with regular and high top tables as well as some outdoor balcony seating overlooking the street below. They also have regular live music. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, great service, fantastic beers and an option of getting beer flights until 7pm. The trio of burgers were delicious and I also tried the tacos which were maybe even better (but no chips with them). Could stay here all day. Live music and live sport playing in the evenings too

What a cool place. They had a sign for blueberry beer (one of my favorites) but it was not in season. I was not disappointed with my flight. The food menu looks great. This is a micro brewery with a local feel.

Me and the family came here three nights in a row! Amazing craft beer on tap, the staff were lovely, especially Yobe and a woman with glasses whose name I didn’t catch. They had live music one of the nights and offer an amazing view on the little balconies. If you’re in the area, please make sure to stop by! My personal favourite was their Pilsner, my family enjoyed their Nectaler Hazy IPA. I’ll be back once I’m back in Cusco!

In response to owner; Yes there were a few problems. Although everybody was very attentive to take our order, we started to wait a long time for our order. We called our server over and they said they were backed up, however when we asked about our cider, she seemed surprised. It was about a 50 minute wait before we received our cider. Then we waited over an hour for our food. I could understand if they were actually busy, but there were only a about 8 other customers and quite a bit of staff. Even as we left, none of them ordered food, just drinks, we brought that up and it seemed the server changed the excuse to a ticketing problem. I also do not mind waiting for good food, but our food was bad. I ordered a taco, it was dry and lacked any flavor. Also, in the month of July my girlfriend was supposed to have a 20% discount here because of her cuenta sueldo BBVA. We were there in early July and mentioned it inthe beginning, however they did not respect the discount. I guess overall we are upset that we spent the only spare couple of hours after work that day waiting, and for us it was a lot of money for bad food.

Brewpub
Cholos Craft Beers in Cusco is a small brewpub that offers a wide selection of craft beers from various local breweries. Despite some taps being out, the place has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to meet other travelers or expats. In addition to their extensive beer selection, they also serve delicious hamburgers and have artisanal pizzas available for delivery.
Brilliant music playing, good mix of 80s 90s and 00s. The food was great too, got one of their burgers and it was a generous portion. Staff we're very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning or recommending Cholpa Craft Beers Cusco.
Colin C — Google review
I came for the beer, and wasn't disappointed. They claim to have 20 taps, but quite a few were out. This still left plenty of options though. A great selection of beers from Peru and South America. Comfortable atmosphere. Good service, although a little short staffed. Great music, especially if you like early 2000s alternative rock, which I do.

Went there on a Saturday night, the places is hidden inside a courtyard but this is what I liked the most, the place has outdoor sitting and also indoor. They had something like six different type of small brewery beers, I tried one stout and it was good. Nothing special. The patio has this very relaxing atmosphere, definitely worth a visit.

Very good lentil vegan burger 💚 also good craft beer on tap

Great brew pub with a good selection. We tried the quinoa kolsh, imperial IPA and lemonade. The lemonade was amazing with a hint of mint. We loved the tables overlooking the patio.

Very nice location, cool designed, very friendly service and delicious burger and excellent Pollada. And on top very good choice of music!

Great beer in a beautiful square just off the main tourist spots. Not much choice for non beer drinkers but that was fine for me! Staff were friendly.

Amazing rotating selection of craft beers on tap with friendly service. On top of basic bar food, the Pizza place next door will deliver both food and wine into Cholos. Highly recommend visiting for a pint!

Restaurant
Chicha by Gaston Acurio is a renowned restaurant in Cusco, Peru, associated with the famous Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio. Conveniently situated near the iconic Plaza de Armas, it offers a tempting menu of expertly crafted Peruvian dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Peruvian cuisine.
Fantastic experience at this famous restaurant. Very diverse menu with unique dishes. Cocktails were superb and the food was fantastic, with big portions. Excellent service, our waiter Pablo made sure we had the best of times. Very busy but vibrant ambience. Strongly recommended, a must go. Very reasonably priced too.

During our 6 nights in Cusco we tried 6 different restaurants. Chicha is clearly the best of them for the quality of the food, nice ambiance and outstanding service. They are able to make the traditional Peruvian dishes delicious with great seasonings and cooking to perfection. The only thing I suggest they do better is to add their wines in the drinks menu. They have many bottles of wine in their cellar but do not list them. They should.

We stopped here for lunch as we wanted some chicken soup. The Abuello (grandma’s) chicken soup was delicious! We also had the traditional chichamora (purple) Peruvian non alcohol drink. Yummy!!! In reviewing the menu, it looked so good we decided to come back for dinner. We were not disappointed!!! We shared the empanadas, a trout fish and the tortellini dish. OMG! Some of THE BEST food we have all had in a restaurant (and we come from San Francisco and Columbus, Ohio). This place deserves a 5.0 in our book! We will be back (for a 3rd and, mauve, a 4th time ). 😝

If you’re looking for a place to try la comida cusceña I highly recommend. The service by Milcom was really lovely. He recommended me some beautiful dishes and warned they come quite big. It’s a bit difficult if you by your own and want to try many things. I’ve tried trout ceviche, great. Then chupe sagrado, lovely combination from the area but not completely my personal flavors. But the star for me was ravioli with lamb and pumpkin. Incredible!!

Upscale dining in Cusco with tasting menu and generous portions! The restaurant is located on the second floor a block away from Plaza Armas. I had the Causa which was delicious with the generous portions of trout, avocados, and eggs all stacked neatly into a potato rectangle and accompanied with spicy sauce. Next came the Lomo Saltado which was also very tasty with a great blend of tenderloin, potato, onions, and peppers. I was stuffed and didn’t get to try dessert, but next time…

I visited Chicha and ordered the 7 Colors Experience Menu. Honestly, it was one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Cusco. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect, and although it can get busy, it never felt overwhelming. There isn’t much more to add you can see from other reviews that this place is consistently great. I’ve attached some photos from the courses I ordered.
Haitham A — Google review
Walked in with a crew of twelve, walked out with stories and sauce-streaked plates. Chicha isn’t your dusty backpacker haunt or a quick bite before the Sacred Valley. This is where Peruvian pride dresses up and throws a damn good party. The steak? Swimming in a peppercorn sauce that demanded bread just to mop it up. The rotisserie chicken was the sleeper hit—juicy, fiery with that ají-forward marinade, riding shotgun with a vibrant cucumber salad and fluffy rice. Drinks? Oh yes. Pisco sours that hit with citrus and foam like a warm slap. A Chilcano that kept things crisp. A bottle (or three) of Intipalka Malbec from Ica sealed the deal—proof that Peru’s wine game isn’t just playing in the minor leagues anymore. Yes, it’s upscale. Yes, it’s pricey. But the service is smooth, and the food has real soul. A rare combo. Would return in a heartbeat. 📍 Location: Central Cusco 🍽 Dishes tried: Steak, rotisserie chicken, salads 🍷 Drinks: Pisco sour, chilcano, Ica Malbec 💰 Pricey but worth it
Nuwan A — Google review
I ordered a pork taco, sacred soup, roasted chicken, and mint tea. The pork was dry. The soup was bland. The chicken and the mint tea saved the night. The chicken was tender, well-seasoned (although a bit too salty). Their mint tea was amazing! The best mint tea I’ve ever had in life! The service was okay when I first arrived. However, once it got more crowded (at around 7:30), it took them 20-30 minutes just to pack my leftover and give me my bill. It was frustrating.

Mercado Central de San Pedro is a lively covered market offering a variety of goods such as produce, meat, clothing, souvenirs, snacks, and fresh juices. Before visiting the market, you can explore the bohemian area of San Blas with its cobbled streets and Inca history. The neighborhood is known for its local artisans creating beautiful crafts sold at the Santurantikuy fair.
Sprawling marketplace offering a large variety of everything from local arts and crafts to juices and smoothies. Great spot for people watching. Make sure to do some good natured negotiating before buying, it's expected and it can be a lot of fun!

It's not just tourists who eat and shops here, the locals do too. They've got local stuff, food, fresh produce, drinks, souvenirs, and even pisco. I love chicken soup, and a bunch of places sell it, but only the one on the corner is packed. It's so good, with a savory broth and juicy chicken. There are also lots of fresh fruit juice stands, and they're all good. They squeeze it fresh, no ice, no sugar, it's so fresh and delicious. You should check out this market before 10 am, otherwise, it'll be super crowded.

A colorful and authentic local market! The San Pedro Market is a must-visit in Cusco. It’s full of life, colors, and amazing local products. You can find everything here — fresh fruits, local food, handmade crafts, and souvenirs. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, giving you a real taste of Peruvian culture. It’s also a great place to try traditional dishes and interact with friendly local vendors. Walking through the aisles is an experience full of scents, sounds, and smiles. A true gem in the heart of Cusco !

This is a fresh market with a wide variety of local souvenirs and food at very affordable prices. If you're looking to buy souvenirs to take home, this is the place to stop. Even on your way to the market, you'll find locals selling goods along the roadside at very reasonable prices.

Our tour guide took us here and introduced us to some native fresh fruit and get to try few of them on the spot. Great experience. This is a genuine market place for the locals but also mixes in few tourists groups. It very humbling to see how hard people work here and how lucky we are.

Visit the local market for shopping. You can find quinoa, spices, small handbags, Sal de los Incas (Peruvian salt), and Peruvian cologne like Florida Water. They also offer mini souvenir sizes of the salt and cologne—perfect for gifts.

If you want a genuine taste of local life, skip the tourist restaurants and head here. This market, partially designed by Gustave Eiffel, is a sensory overload in the best way. It’s the best place to try an authentic Peruvian lunch at a fraction of the price, or grab a glass of freshly squeezed, exotic fruit juice. You’ll find mountains of local produce, amazing cheeses, and affordable alpaca souvenirs. Be brave, explore the food stalls, and experience the real Cusco!

Qorikancha, also known as the 'Court of Gold,' is a significant Inca ruin located in Peru. It was originally built to honor the sun god and was adorned with pure gold, including walls, altars, and life-size statues of plants and animals. However, much of its wealth was looted during the Spanish conquest.
Very neat place to check out. The history is fascinating and worth learning about. There is great art work and some incredible woodworking. If you like history of religion there is a lot of it. My favorite part of it is the amazing architecture.

The most important temple of the Inca empire, partially destroyed to build the church. The museum goes over the history but also has paintings of the Cusco school (amongst others). On the balconies you get nice views of the city, or you can climb up the bell tower to get even better ones.
Bruno V — Google review
The site primarily features pre-Inca stonework and a church, presenting a compelling juxtaposition of historical periods. The experience extends beyond the interior, encompassing the exterior as well. We recommend visiting the top tower for panoramic views and the artifacts bell. The entrance fee is approximately ten Soles. Ascending to the summit via the narrow stairway offers a memorable experience.
SPICY — Google review
What a beautiful museum/heritage site. So much to learn! Please note: entry is not included in the boleto turístico (only the Museo del Sitio Q, which is not worth it). But for this site, it's 20 soles well spent. Allow for at least 90 minutes if you don't want to rush.

An amazing place full of history and beauty! The Temple of the Sun in Cusco, also known as Qorikancha, is one of the most impressive sites I visited in Peru. The combination of ancient Inca architecture and Spanish colonial influence is truly fascinating. You can really feel the spirit of the Inca civilization in every stone. The museum inside offers interesting information about the culture and beliefs of the Incas. A beautiful and peaceful place that you shouldn’t miss when visiting Cusco!
Aymen C — Google review
Such a beautiful museum. So much Inca history and views were amazing. Im glad I paid 5 soles which is less than 2 us dollars to go upstairs to see the bells and views. Don't skip that part. It's worth your time!
Stephanie B — Google review
Qorikancha is one of the most historically significant sites in all of Peru. It was once the dazzling Inca Temple of the Sun, famously covered in gold. Today, you witness an incredible architectural fusion: the Spanish Santo Domingo Convent built directly on the top of the original, perfectly fitted Inca stone walls. The most amazing part is seeing how the Inca walls survived every major earthquake, while the Spanish structures did not. It is a powerful testament to Inca engineering genius and a must-see for understanding the depth of Cusco's history. Truly unforgettable.
Michal R — Google review
Good to visit after Machu Pichu. An important historical area and central to the Inca culture. you’ll appreciate it more if you went to Machu Pichu before hand. It also helps in altitude acclimation if you do Machu Pichu first since Cusco city is almost 1,000 meters higher in elevation. You can’t take pictures of the preserved paintings but they are worth looking at especially the mix of a European oil painting style with subservient Inca culture imbedded secretly which was not obvious during the time. A local guide is recommended as they can give you more context that’s beyond what’s written on the paintings. If you just want to leisurely go around without a guide, that’s certainly an option and there’s a coffee shop inside and clean restrooms. Our favorite painting is the crucified Jesus with Mary & Joseph at each side chewing apparently Coca leaves. Only apparent when you look closer and one of their cheeks is plump. Pretty cool! If you want pictures with an alpaca, make sure you have coins to tip the person after the picture. 2 soles per person is a good tip. You can give more if you like.

Located in the basement of the Boleto Turistico del Cusco office on Avenida El Sol, Museo de Arte Popular houses a diverse collection of ceramics, photographs, paintings, and sculptures. The museum features works by renowned Peruvian artists like Edilberto Merida, Hilario Mendivil, and Santiago Rojas. Managed by the Instituto Americano de Arte, it offers a unique insight into local artistry.
This little museum is in the basement of the Cusco provincial offices. It's free with the big museum ticket. As some reviews have noted, it's dingy and a little dusty, but I found it amusing. There are folk art miniatures of daily life and religious scenes. Like a reinterpretation of the birth of Christ as if it had taken place in a jungle. For me it was 20 minutes well spent.

This museum ticket entry was with the sacsaywaman . Visit very easy to get an entry. Because it is in a government building on in the basement. There is a person open just the complimentary ticket. There are 3 halls. The first hall has a lot of cupboards with all the are small small artefacts. And the ceramix of different type of toys arts which are displayed but they are crammed. I have attach some photos in the second hall. Basically. It is the ruler James shown with the horse and also a big sculpture of the man displayed in the last room. There is a lot. Total theatrical representation of all the inc.and/or the historic remains of different regimes if you have time visit. But it is not a must go place

Included in the Bileto Turistico. To call this a museum is a stretch. It's three rooms, one with a video exhibit in Spanish only, one with some historical black-and-white photos of Cusco, and one room packed with ugly display cases filled with random objects, dolls, and figurines. Seems to me it's a few spare rooms in the basement of the municipal building, where employees have been asked to bring random objects from their attic which they don't want to keep. Information boards (pictured) indicate this museum started as the "American Institute of Art of Cusco", which is remarkable as there is no English explanation whatsoever. If I would have paid for entry here, beside the Bileto Turistico (which I got for other purposes), I would be absolutely raging.
Johan B — Google review
Not worth the visit. This is not a museum but a somewhat random collection of things all cramped into the basement of a government building. It can be easily missed, but if you really want to go there - take the stairs down left side after entering the building.

A charming little museum showcasing beautiful Peruvian folk art—perfect for a quick cultural stop! The exhibits include colorful textiles, pottery, masks, and other traditional crafts that highlight the creativity of local artisans. The staff were welcoming and happy to chat about the pieces. I spent about an hour there and really enjoyed learning more about Peru’s rich artistic traditions. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town!

This museum is inside this government building and located downstairs. History Museums
Housed in the former residence of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega Chimpu Ocllo, a prominent colonial poet and historian with both Spanish and Inca heritage, the Regional Historical Museum of Cusco offers a captivating journey through Peru's diverse historical periods. The museum showcases an array of paleontological and archaeological artifacts dating back to prehistoric eras, as well as colonial paintings, Jesuit sculptures, and excavated finds.
The museum gives a great overview of local history without getting too detailed while also adding nuance. Should the histories rely on Spanish or Peruvian accounts? Where do the accounts differ? And how do local, national, and international politics all influence the history as artefacts are found, gifted, lost and reclaimed-- including the iconic gold sun crest that Cusco uses in its modern street signs. The museum raises these great questions alongside artefacts and accounts of the past-- all of which prompt questions about Cusco's future.

Likely one of the better museums in Cusco, covering the history of the city, the Incas, and the colonial period. Ticket is included in the Bileto Turistico. There are English translations for most exhibits and displays (which is not generally the case in Cusco...), although the translation is not perfect and the text is faded in some places. We spent 30 minutes walking through the museum, but definitely worth a full hour if you're interested.
Johan B — Google review
A very enriching visit to the Cusco Regional Historical Museum. The museum is located in a beautiful colonial mansion that belonged to Garcilaso de la Vega. The layout of the rooms takes you through the history of Cusco from pre-Inca times to the colonial era. I really liked the archaeological artifacts, the colonial paintings, and the clear explanation of each stage. The atmosphere is peaceful, ideal for a leisurely stroll. Plus, it’s included in the tourist ticket, so it’s a must-see if you’re exploring the historic center. Recommended if you’re interested in Peruvian history and culture!n

Interesting little museum with exhibits going back to pre-historical times, moving forwards to modern times. Not a big museum but some interesting information, especially around the Inca uprising against the Spanish and the Spanish Incan Garcilaso (whose house I think is next door - he also has a museum/house dedicated to him in Spain). Entrance fee is included in the Cusco Tourist Tickets.
Gary H — Google review
Very nice collection of pre historical, Incan, and colonial artifacts. The museum tells a history from up through modern times.
Adam P — Google review
Incredible artifacts but the descriptions didn’t have much information. It’s definitely worth a look if you have the tourist ticket.
Grace W — Google review
It is interesting enough, it starts with some prehistoric exhibition and then moves on toward Spanish occupation and the mix of Incas and Conquistadores. The initial part is maybe a bit too short and the Christian part is too long in comparison to the other exhibitions. There is a lack of period indication. It is not clear whether the exhibitions are in chronological order. Several artifacts don't indicate the years or periods which would be important to know in a historical museum.
Renzo L — Google review
Enjoyed this museum. There’s many paintings and descriptions in English. If you’re unsure where to get tickets they’ll direct you. There’s two floors and many rooms. There’s an interesting video of the life of a famous Spanish Inka. Subtitles are in English. There’s lots of religious paintings as well. They have a decently clean bathroom as well.

Mirador desde el Cristo Blanco

Observation deck
Mirador desde el Cristo Blanco is a popular destination in Cusco, featuring a 26-foot Christ statue on a hill. The statue was donated by the Arab-Palestinian community and built in 1945 by local sculptor Francisco Olazo. To reach the mirador, visitors can take a steep hike from the main square through Hatunrumiyoc street and atoqsayquchi street.
If you want the ultimate view of the entire city, this is the place to go. The white statue of Christ (Cristo Blanco) is a beautiful landmark, but the real star is the spectacular, sweeping panorama of Cusco nestled in the Andes valley. It is an easy walk from the Sacsayhuamán ruins, making it a perfect final stop. The vantage point is excellent for seeing the city's ancient design and colonial layout. Highly recommended for amazing photos, especially around sunset!
Michal R — Google review
White statue of Christ overlooking the city, you can see it from almost anywhere in Cusco. Nice panoramic views. Most visitors arrive by taxi or tour bus but it's quite simple to walk from the city (or from Saqsayhuaman), about a 20 minute hike (a lot of uphill) from the trail head in Cusco. No entry fee. Some smaller crosses also set up next to the statue. A lot of vendors camped out just by the statue which detracts somewhat from the atmosphere.
Johan B — Google review
Smaller than expected. I don't recommend trying to walk there. There were A LOT of stairs that were very steep. With the altitude being so high in Cusco already, it's not for the faint of heart. That being said, the view was worth the trek! The state was okay. Nothing awe inspiring. I'm a Christian but I don't worship statues of Jesus. So it wasn't all that significant to me spiritually. But again, the view of Cusco was stunning! Definitely recommend going for sunset and staying until dark to see all the city lights.

Beautiful view and great experience! We hiked up to Cristo Blanco on foot, and it was totally worth it. The walk is a bit steep but enjoyable, and once you reach the top, the panoramic view of Cusco is absolutely breathtaking. You can see the entire city and the surrounding mountains. It’s a peaceful place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the sunset. A must-do experience when visiting Cusco — the view is unforgettable !
Aymen C — Google review
Cristo Blanco was well worth the hike up the hill. The walk gave us a great workout, and the views from the top were incredible — overlooking all of Cusco with the towering statue of Jesus watching over the city. A perfect spot to take in the scenery and appreciate the beauty and history of the area.
Geoffrey B — Google review
This makes for a great work out from Cusco’s city center. I forgot to count the stairs but you will be climbing stairs for at least a half an hour to 45 minutes if you include breaks. The end is very rewarding with a magnificent view of the entire city. Don’t forget to bring water but, as usual, you will find vendors at the top. You can also go by vehicle which is probably a better idea if you’re not in good physical shape. A must do visit if you are in Cusco.
Michel L — Google review
We loved the hike up from the city. There are a lot of steps but it’s very manageable. An Uber or taxi is only 6-8soles and then you can walk down if it’s your first day or two. The view over the city is great. Get there early to avoid the crowds. We then carried on walking from here to the eucalyptus forest and zona x. Beyond the statue we saw lots of llamas and alpacas. There are stalks to buy souvenirs and refreshments.
Our F — Google review
A busy viewpoint overlooking the city. Not entirely worth it in my opinion, it’s very much a tourist trap in which dozens of tour buses and its inhabitants overwhelm the place.

Café Dwasi Peruvian Coffee is a local gem in Cusco, named after the Quechuan word for "home" to honor its roots. Established in 2015, it was among the first specialty coffee spots in the city and has since expanded to three locations. While offering a modest food menu, their focus remains on showcasing high-quality Peruvian coffee.
A very cute little cafe with amazing coffee right in downtown Cuzco. The almond milk flat white and standard cappuccino were amazing. We stopped in Cafe D’Wasi to have some coffee and an empanada. We will rush for time, but thought we could order at the table quickly rather than place it to go order. The service was incredibly slow. They brought the menu but didn’t come back and we had to wave them down. We ended up walking up to change our order to go and they made the coffees for us and heated up the empanadas. Overall this place is good, but not amazing. They do have good coffee and empanadas and the store is clean, but the service can be improved.

Indian restaurant
Taste Of India, Cafe Carvalho offers a diverse menu with authentic Indian dishes and American sandwiches. The owner's Indian heritage ensures the authenticity of the food. The restaurant provides exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. Vegetarian options are available, and the staff is accommodating to dietary preferences such as vegan choices. Customers praise the generous portion sizes and well-seasoned food, although some note that it can be pricier compared to other local eateries.
The food is a great change when you want some spice and flavor while in Peru. We went during peak dinner time so a wait was to be expected but we got some appetizers and drinks and enjoyed people watching. The lamb skewers were amazing. This was a little more expensive than other restaurants but well worth it. The entrees come with rice and naan which was nice.
Orawan S — Google review
We felt like a change from Peruvian food and tried this Indian restaurant in Cusco. The mango lassi was nice, and the dishes have a good amount of spice to them based on your request. Onion pakoda as an entree was tasty, as were the curries. The naan (garlic and normal) could have been a bit softer/less dry, but overall pretty good Service was attentive and quite fast Plenty of seating available, and the restaurant is in a convenient location
Monique F — Google review
Very solid curry, and was kind enough to ask how ‘hot’ I’d like it. The naan bread was the star of the show! The drinks were slightly small and overpriced but the rice and naan were included with the curry (some places charge for all of them each)
Matthew L — Google review
Indians disown this restaurant Any Indian with taste buds would disown this place. The naan was dry and rubbery, the dal tadka tasted like plain boiled lentils with zero spice, and the mutton masala and channa masala were a disgrace — bland, watery, and completely soulless. This food is an insult to Indian cuisine. If you’ve ever eaten real Indian food, you’ll be shocked at how bad this is. Truly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had — avoid at all costs.
Rahuldeb M — Google review
Loved it here! Good vegan options (even vegan naan which is rare). Also super friendly. Quite spicy but you can ask for it mild.
Lois P — Google review
Great location, delicious native Indian flavors, and warm hospitality. Our waiter Kelly was attentive and made the experience even better. A must-visit in Cusco for anyone craving real Indian taste with excellent service

Delicious food! Great service and generous portions. True indian flavor
Callie C — Google review
A solid traditional, Indian restaurant in Cusco. If you were looking for typical Indian food while visiting Cusco, this is the place. Friendly service and tasty food. I particularly liked the chai tea. And the naan bread is fresh, warm, light and flaky. Absolutely delicious. The only thing to keep in mind, is it is a family restaurant. So they have a small boy who runs around singing and playing in the dining room. For me it just added to the experience. But I can imagine for some it could be a bit distracting from their meal.

Cafe
La Valeriana is a delightful coffee shop located in Cusco, Peru, known for its high-quality coffee and complete menu. The cafe offers a relaxed atmosphere and opens every day from 08:00-22:00. It's a great place to enjoy well-prepared drinks and desserts that are not overly sweet. The service is friendly, making it a nice stop during a walk across the city or after a day tour.
Very relaxing and peaceful environment. Very well mannered, well English speaking staff. A great short experience in enjoying this cafe shop as we were passing
Gurpal A — Google review
If you’re looking for a cozy spot to relax, treat yourself, and try something a little different, this dessert place is a must. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s clean, charming, and perfect for a mid-day break or an evening treat. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and best of all — they speak English, which makes ordering and asking questions super easy, especially if you’re unfamiliar with Peruvian flavors. The dessert selection is huge, with something for every kind of sweet tooth, everything looks beautiful and tastes even better. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to try more than one thing — and probably come back for more. What really stood out were the drinks. The muna tea is soothing and minty, perfect for winding down, while the valeriana lemonade is refreshing with a unique floral twist — unlike anything you’d find in a typical café. Both drinks pair perfectly with the desserts and really highlight the local flavors. Overall, this spot is a little slice of dessert paradise. Whether you’re stopping by solo, with friends, or looking for a unique experience as a traveler, this place hits all the right notes. Delicious treats, great drinks, and even better service — highly recommend!

La Valeriana Bake Shop – A Sweet Pause Across from the Stones If you’re wandering down the main avenue of Cusco—right across from the ancient stonework of Qorikancha (yes, that’s the one!)—you might miss it if you blink. But you shouldn’t. La Valeriana Bake Shop is one of those quiet little sanctuaries where time slows down, sugar reigns supreme, and the only ancient ruins you’ll care about are the crumbs left on your plate after devouring one of their desserts. The space feels more like the warm living room of a friend who actually knows how to bake—comfortable corners, quirky tiered seating with floor cushions, greenery scattered in potted corners, and a laid-back vibe that invites you to stay for far longer than you intended. And you should. Let’s talk about the pastries. My God, the pastries. Displayed like jewelry in a Parisian boutique, each one looks too pretty to eat… until you do. Whether it’s the impossibly delicate fruit cheesecake, the decadent chocolate tsunami, or a tart topped with clouds of toasted meringue that makes you want to believe in heaven again—this place delivers. The cakes are show-stopping, the quiches satisfying, and the selection wide enough to tempt both the sugar-hardened cynic and the casual croissant dabbler. But, fair warning—bring your patience. The staff here seem to operate on Peruvian time… and then slow it down just a little more for good measure. Service can be a little absent-minded or aloof, and you might wait longer than you’d like for a coffee refill or a check. But here’s the thing: if you can surrender to the slower pace and let yourself melt into the atmosphere like butter into warm cake, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most memorable pastry moments in the Sacred Valley. Verdict: La Valeriana may not serve you fast—but it will serve you something worth remembering. And that’s a trade-off I’ll take any day.

If your travels take you to Cusco and you want a warm, peaceful, and delicious break before hiking Machu Picchu or getting lost in the streets, set your navigation for La Valeriana. This café is one of the city's hidden treasures, and there, you too will be captivated by the magic of a cup of coffee, a slice of cake, and the cozy atmosphere, creating memories you'll fondly look back on, just as we do. La Valeriana is your home away from home in Cusco.

Good pastries and an ok coffee. Had a lemon cake and it was very tasty, but a bit too sweet for me. Cute interiors and a great location.
Kisiel H — Google review
I was there twice. The first time in the evening and everything was great and the food was very tasty. So I decided to get breakfast there the next morning since the breakfast menu looked great (around 9:30). However when I tried to order from the breakfast menu they told me that there was nothing from it available. After I ordered something else I could hear the staff making fun of me and laughing at me for trying to order from the breakfast menu behind the bar. It honestly made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Naomi E — Google review
The ambience is great. However, I wanted to order breakfast here and they didn't have half of the stuff we wanted to order. For this price i expected better.
Leonardo S — Google review
They have breakfast on the menu; however, you sit down, the waitress kindly gives you the menu, and when you're ready to order breakfast, she says, "Oh, we don't offer breakfast." So bad! They should remove the breakfast options from the menu, or at least tell you they don’t offer them anymore.

Papacho's in Cuzco is a vibrant burger restaurant located on the main square, offering an extensive selection of burgers and bar food, including vegetarian options. While it may cater to tourists, the quality of the food and cocktails is commendable, making it a convenient spot for exploring the nearby nightlife. This establishment provides an affordable opportunity to savor Peruvian cuisine by renowned chef Gaston Acurio.
Went there for lunch while visiting Cuzco. Great customer service, and the food was delicious. Most of the staff is bilingual(Spanish and English) as well as their menus. The atmosphere was really nice I can only imagine how beautiful it must be at night. Will come back again when I'm back in Peru.

Tried la gaucha burger.. delicious .. melting in the mouth. Stuffed with avocado as well and came with fries. Very cozy place to sit and enjoy meal with view. Staff was very accommodating and got us balcony area on request. Lots of options on the menu for whole family, kids friendly

This was the first restaurant I ate at when I arrived at Cuzco. They provide menus in English, if needed. I highly recommend the restaurant because of the super friendly atmosphere and the large portions. Food was delicious and came out quickly. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. The falafel sandwich was a great vegetarian option too.

If you’re looking for a burger or wings with some Peruvian flair, then this is a solid option. The wing appetizer had three varieties to try and we enjoyed all of them. The yellow ones were incredible but I forgot what they were called. We also had La Gaucha Burgers which we really enjoyed. We asked for medium rare but they came out closer to the rare side, but still tasted great. Service was good and so was the balcony seating which offered a great view of the Plaza below. Pricing for food is above average for the region, but nothing too crazy. Overall, I reckon it’s a 4.5 star spot.

Great location, found easily in the city square. The staff were friendly and bathrooms were clean. A beautiful view of the square from the balcony! Best of all, the food was great. My friends had the alpaca burger, which they stated was savory and full of flavor. I had a veggie burger which I would also recommend if you are vegetarian. Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something American with a Peruvian twist.

Managed to get a superb seat and table on the balcony looking out onto the main square in Cuzco. The service was excellent and although we didn’t eat here the menu looked fantastic as did the food being served. Great spot to people and traffic watch.

Nice place close to the main square. The food was delicious. The smash burger were amazing and are highly recommanded. The papa which came along the burger taste very good. There was only one bad point about it. They had live music there and the music was very loud. To be honest the singer was very bad. He missed everything and was a pain to hear. All in all it was a delicous meal.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Saqsaywaman. Not quite as popular as Mercado Central de San Pedro, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Saqsaywaman is an awe-inspiring archaeological site located just north of Cusco, Peru. This ancient Inca fortress is renowned for its impressive stone walls, constructed with remarkable precision and without the use of mortar. The site features a complex layout that includes residential areas, temples, roads, and aqueducts, showcasing the advanced engineering prowess of the Incas.
This site is an absolute must-see when visiting Cusco. The scale and precision of the stonework here are simply mind-blowing. Seeing the massive stones, fitted together without mortar, is a powerful testament to the advanced engineering skills of the Inca Empire. The zig-zag walls are architecturally unique and the history is palpable. The views of Cusco from this hill are also spectacular. Be prepared for the altitude, take your time, and enjoy this incredible piece of history!
Michal R — Google review
Saqsaywaman has truly captured my heart, surpassing my expectations even more than Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu. The site offers an unparalleled opportunity to study pre-Inca stonework up close, with masterful craftsmanship on full display. I was impressed by the ease of access and the relative lack of tourists, which allowed for a more intimate experience. The site's cleanliness and maintenance are also noteworthy, reflecting the dedication of the local authorities. For a unique perspective, I highly recommend taking a horseback ride around the perimeter, which revealed additional Inca structures and ruins that are often overlooked by visitors. This experience added a new layer of depth to my understanding and appreciation of the site's history and architecture
SPICY — Google review
Saqsaywaman is one of the most amazing archaeological sites I’ve ever visited — and easily one of the greatest mysteries of the ancient world. Standing before the massive stone walls (thought to represent the teeth of a puma), each block perfectly fitted together without mortar, it’s impossible not to wonder how the Inca or whoever built it moved and shaped stones weighing up to 100 tons with such precision. The stones lock together like a puzzle, surviving centuries of earthquakes that have toppled many other structures in Cusco.
Alex B — Google review
Absolutely a MUST see when visiting Cusco! This was the highlight of our day tour. Incredible architecture that the Incas built with boulders that weigh hundreds of thousands of pounds and also incorporate astrological aspects. From the top there are incredible views of Cusco and the surrounding mountains. You must see it to appreciate the accomplishment.
Kristian P — Google review
Be prepared! It is high up and you should take regular breaks. Otherwise it's a beautiful place to visit. You will get approached on the way by people offering tours and an inclusive ticket but honestly the math didn't quite make sense. Go to the official entrance in the wood booth. Lots of different routes, good place to take photos and nice views over the city. Be sure to visit the village after that is up the hill to the right for food, gifts and ice cream.
Alex C — Google review
A decent trek from centre of town, allow 25-30 minutes I’d say. The scale of the place is enormous, worth reading up a little before you go.

We bought the Boleto Turistico to enter, this way we got access to most archeological sites in the sacred valley. We took a guided tour of this site, I was surprised with the size of this place, a lot to see if you're in to the history. The climb of the stairs to reach hear took a good while due to the altitude, but is worth it and you get a nice view of Cusco.

Unreal place to visit, we were left jaw to the floor for most of the day. If you are into ancient history, here is a must visit. We spent around 5 and half hours here and could have quite possibly spent longer looking at big rocks!

Museums
The Inka Museum, located in the city of Cusco, offers a charming collection of Inca art, artifacts, and architecture within an old-fashioned setting. The museum is situated on the former palace of Huascar, an Inca emperor. Over time, the property changed hands among various owners including Spanish conquistadors and local families. Visiting this gem allows you to delve into the rich history of the Inca civilization from its origins to its eventual conquest by the Spanish.
As we go, I can honestly say that this was my best museum experience of the trip. It’s definitely a dated space and you can tell they don’t have a lot of funding, but Claire and I thought that really added to the charm and it feels like you’re kind of walking through a 90s high school History presentation done by a star pupil and it’s pretty sweet. It was fun to walk through and take photographs, as well as learn about the artists representation of what saquasawawoman used to look like.
Cole G — Google review
Thorough museum about Inca timeline, tools, places. Some exhibits have English explanation but other don’t. Still worth the 20soles ticket. Was pretty quiet when we went at noon.

A great little museum to find out the history of the area. It costs 20 sol / adult and free for under 12s.
Our F — Google review
A tad outdated but very much worth the visit for an hour of 2. There are quite interesting facts you are probably not able to find easily on the internet. There is also a stand where the Inca instruments are illustrated, pure magic!
Shauni D — Google review
The artifacts are indeed amazing but the museum itself is poorly maintained. Besides lacking some English translation, some itens didn't have any description such as period (even an approximate date would've been nice). Still, would recommend a visit as you may dig deeper on Inca and Pre-Inca civilisation.
Luiza T — Google review
It cost 20 Soles entrance fee you can only pay by cash and I did not like it I have been to many museums this one was just gray and boring considering the whole history and culture of the Incas. The first part had some English translation but later on there was not English it was mostly Spanish and it was hard to follow as it is written text and you don't want to take out Google translate every time to understand something also there's mostly Ceramics and some old tools from rocks a mummy part that was kind of not nice so if I had to choose I would not do it again.
Sara A — Google review
Today we visited the Inka Museum! It’s right off the plaza mayor decuzco (big plaza in Cusco with lots of shops and things). Outside of the travel itinerary from our travel company this was one of two museums we wanted to visit. I wanted to go and see an elongated skull in person and they have several. The museum is 20 soles to get in, the staff were very friendly and scope good enough English. Despite the reviews, most things had some English along with Spanish. It wasn’t everything but reception was great so google translate did the rest. It has an impressive amount of pre Inca pottery, arrow / axe heads, etc. Was not disappointed at all. They also had great miniatures of Machu Pichu and other important areas. If you find yourself with a few spare hours it’s great.

20 Soles entrance fee for international adults. Some interesting artefacts and content of Inka ans Pre-Inka civilalisation. 2nd floor definitely have some more interesting items. Not all exhibits have English text. There is also a traditional music demonstration which was quite neat.

Located in a 15th-century building, the Museo de Arte Precolombino (MAP) is a decade-old museum showcasing an extensive collection of artifacts from various Andean cultures and periods. The museum features interesting pre-Columbian artworks, Peruvian artifacts from the Cusco region, colorful pottery exhibits, detailed jewelry, and historical Inca treasures. Sapantiana Aqueduct

The Sapantiana Aqueduct, a hidden gem near Cusco's Plaza de Armas, is a historical marvel with three levels of arches resembling a bridge over the Saphi River. Dating back to 1565, it was built during the Peruvian colonial period to supply water to the city center. Despite being discovered in mid-2020, this aqueduct has been an integral part of Cusco for centuries and offers visitors a glimpse into Inca culture and infrastructure.
We waited in line for about 20 minutes to take a photo here. When you visit a famous tourist spot, waiting in line for a picture is just part of the experience! If you come to Cusco, I definitely recommend taking a photo at this photo spot — it’s totally worth it! 📸✨

Due to the dry season and Cusco going through a drought and a mix of global warming, the stairs didn’t have a strong current flowing. It was a good hike up and down stairs to get to but it was a worth a beer once I got up top and bottom. If you climb around entrance of the stairs theirs a great vantage point to take pictures.
Krammer A — Google review
Aqueducts are always interesting engineering works. Only a small partition of this one is available to view - but worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood. You can get pretty close when the water of the little canal is running low. Watch out though as the stones may be slippery.

We had an incredible lunch at Map Café! The food was delicious (best we’ve tried in Cusco), the service was fantastic (Pool took amazing care of us) and the setting was lovely. We ordered two main dishes: one beef cheek and another duck rice, both are great! I personally think it’s a bit heavy though, and the beef cheek would be better if less salty. Amazing food. Order the arugula tiramisu, it was the biggest and most pleasant surprise of the night. Simply delicious! We had plenty of great food, but what made this experience outstanding was Winnie's service! She made the whole group feel welcome and appreciated and had great recommendations. Great service is what puts one restaurant above the rest!

Amazing fresh food. All farm to table. Quinoa soup, trout with native spices and homemade fettuccini with chicken and pesto were all 10/10. Juan was a great server. Professional and friendly and genuine. Highly recommend!

We chose the perfect restaurant for our vegetable meal — everything was made with fresh farm produce, and the cooking was fantastic. The trout ceviche is a must-try dish! I loved every item we ordered, and the hot pot with fresh herbal tea was another special highlight.

If you visit Cusco, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I came here on my last day and already regret not coming sooner. Every dish was so delicious that it makes me want to try everything on the menu and it makes me want to come back to Cusco just for this place! (한국사람들 이 리뷰를 보셨다면 저믿고 그냥 여기 무조건 가세요 제가 장담할게요😎) True to its name, all ingredients were fresh. The sweet potato ravioli was a real highlight. I want it again! The pizza was amazing too… honestly, everything was beyond just “delicious.” I usually don’t eat dessert at restaurants, but I had to try the chocolate souffle, and it was perfectly sweet and satisfying. The mint ice cream served alongside wasn’t artificial at all-it tasted like 100% real mint. I normally don’t like mint ice cream, but it paired beautifully with the chocolate souffle. Also, the restaurant has a cute mascot cat (I forgot its name 😅), and all the servers were super friendly. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful memory in Cusco! 🐱💛

All around excellent spot. Great service, amazing food - all local and organic with beautiful presentation, and a lovely atmosphere - cozy, bright, fancy, and artsy, comfortable spacing and not loud. We got a few cocktails each and shared an appetizer and dessert, but in general cocktails are around 40-50 sol. Food is around 40- 80sol. You could be satisfied for 100 sol per person here but we splurged and loved the experience. The alpaca and gnocchi were delicious, the creamiest gnocchi I’ve ever had. The quinoa risotto was great. Loved the carrot cake, probably the best we have ever had. The trout ceviche was super good too, we loved the mango they added in it. The cocktails were really good, well balanced but strong. I had the black mule and red qoya and I’d recommend them both. My wife had the maricuya chilcano and it was also delicious.

Such a cosy restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere — the interior made us feel cozy and comfortable. The background music sets just the right mood, and the service is impressively quick without ever feeling rushed. The staff were attentive and friendly, and we even received a delicious appetizer from the house. The drinks were a highlight — both the homemade ice tea and kombucha were super tasty. The ingredients in every dish really stand out, with plenty of great vegetarian options, all beautifully presented and full of flavour. Dessert was a real surprise — the rucola tiramisu amazed us! Special thanks to our waiter Liz, who was exceptionally kind and attentive throughout. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. A wonderful spot for a relaxed evening out — highly recommended!

Fantastic food and service. We had a wonderful date night at Organika. We ordered the Calabreze pizza and meat lasagna. Absolutely delicious!! The service is spectacular, very friendly and the staff go above and beyond. They gave us a small complementary treat which was the best brownie of my life. Definitely recommended!

I had the best time at Organika! The food was absolutely incredible — the freshest ingredients, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Cusco. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and Juan’s hospitality and excellent customer service made the experience even more memorable. A true gem in Cusco — highly recommend to anyone visiting! 🌱💚

The Meeting Place Cafe in Cusco is a charming spot run by volunteers, with profits going to local charities. The cafe has a lovely courtyard where you can work and network with a friendly crowd. It mainly serves American-style breakfast until 4pm, offering delicious waffles, smoothies, and sausage and egg breakfasts. They also serve the yummiest chai tea in Cusco along with various coffees and specialty teas.
Our family stopped in a few days ago for morning tea after hiking the archilogical zone. We shared some waffles. My kids loved the Oreo waffle while the adults has strawberry and banana. The place is small but comfortable and has boardgames available to play while you wait.

The owner is a great. I came here 3 times as it was close to hotel. The food was great 2 of 3 times. I went later in the evening and the burger the 2nd time wasn’t as good as the first time. So maybe the afternoons are better for food. Also, the chicken quinoa soup was excellent with a little added picante.

I LOVE this little place. Best coffee, best breakfast and lunch options, best pasties and pies that you can enjoy in a beautiful environment. You will most likely meet Yas (short for Yasmani), who is such a nice human being. It helps that he speaks English fluently, and he is always smiling and recommending items on his menus.. I can’t recommend this place enough. So peaceful, such a pleasure to come here everyday since I arrived

Shopping mall
Real Plaza Cusco is a remarkable mall in the heart of Cusco, offering a fantastic shopping experience for visitors. With a diverse range of stores, including clothing boutiques, shoe shops, and even a supermarket for daily essentials, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, the mall features popular dining options like Don Belisario Restaurant and Starbucks where you can savor delicious meals or spend quality time with friends.
Very nice mall, big area of food and a lot of shops from any kind. The place is air conditioned and the toilets are clean and good.
Guy S — Google review
Good shops but I would like to see healthier options in the food hall, taking into account food intolerances like gluten and lactose. It’s frustrating that this elevator has been broken for over 4 months.
Abbey S — Google review
Real Plaza Cusco is a clean, modern shopping center with a good mix of stores, restaurants, and services. It’s easy to navigate, well-maintained, and offers plenty of options for both shopping and dining. A convenient spot to pick up essentials, enjoy a meal, or just spend some time indoors. We particularly liked how the signs for washrooms had tails on the people.
Geoffrey B — Google review
Great mall to visit and shop around. Has underground parking, Uber accessible. Plenty of restaurants and variety of stores from home decor to electronics. Bank on site, cellphone shops on site. Very clean and secure.
Suly D — Google review

YURI F — Google review
I couldn’t find many reliable reports specifically about Cusco Mega Plaza, but based on general observations: it’s decently clean, though like many malls in Cusco, some areas could be better maintained. On air conditioning — it seems inconsistent. Certain stores are cool; others rely more on natural ventilation
Edgardo H — Google review
Pleasant and nice. Shopping was easy with all of the stores you will need at your access.
C F — Google review
This is a great place in Cusco if you’re looking to buy authentic, original products. I bought a Xiaomi power bank here—unlike many other places in the city that sell fake Xiaomi items, this one was the real deal. They also have a solid selection of camping and outdoor equipment, including well-known brands like Notebooks and Columbia. That said, the prices are definitely on the expensive side, so expect to pay more for the quality and authenticity. The shopping area itself is super clean, well-organized, and modern—surprisingly upscale for Cusco, especially in the middle of summer. It feels more like something you'd find in a big international city. If you're looking for real, reliable gear or electronics while in Cusco, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

The Church and Convent of Santo Domingo of Guzmán is a historic site in Peru, built on the sacred Inca temple Qorikancha. The space was given to the Dominican order during Spanish colonization, leading to the construction of the convent in 1534. The site showcases a fusion of Inca walls and colonial architecture, with parts of the Inca temple now serving as a museum displaying rooms where worship to various Incan deities took place.
We didn't book tickets and just paid 20 soles to get in. No lines. There's a lot to see inside, definitely worth it.. We didn't hire a tour guide. Inside there's English text and you can also scan a qr code with a thorough summary of each room. Upstairs there is also an exhibition. We spent a total of 1 hr to explore
Nixie — Google review
This is a really cool place to visit if you are acclimating in Cusco. This museum is not very expensive to visit but quite interesting and very beautiful. Because the church is not too busy it is quite calming to walk through after you have visited the hectic city. It is not necessary to book a tour from one of the people who will offer you one before you reach the ticket booth. The old Inca temples on which the church has been built have been restored and open to walk through inside. So it is also possible to visit during a rainy day. There are some signs with information in English and Spanish. The architecture is fantastic to see. There are some artworks as well, one of them is the famous Milky Way by Miguel Araoz. It is a very beautiful and impressive painting! We had a great time here and can certainly recommend this to everyone!
Sam H — Google review
This complex represents one of the most powerful historical statements in Cusco. Built atop the most important Inca structure, Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), the Santo Domingo Convent beautifully demonstrates the architectural clash and fusion of the two cultures. The convent itself is a striking example of Spanish colonial architecture, with serene courtyards, arched cloisters, and Baroque chapels. However, the most humbling experience is seeing how its foundations—the Inca walls—have protected the entire structure through centuries of powerful earthquakes. This is a must-see for anyone interested in how the Spanish repurposed sacred Inca space for the Christian faith. The blend of Catholic iconography and masterful Inca stonework is absolutely fascinating.

Visiting the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán in Oaxaca was a truly enchanting experience! 🌟 From the moment I walked through its grand entrance, I was captivated by the beauty and serenity of this historic site. The architecture is simply stunning, with intricate details and a timeless elegance that speaks to its rich history. 🏛️ The interior of the church is equally impressive. The golden altar and ornate decorations are breathtaking, creating an atmosphere of reverence and awe. ✨ As I wandered through the convent, I felt a deep sense of peace and contemplation. The beautiful gardens and peaceful cloisters provide a perfect space for reflection and relaxation. 🌿 One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the museum, which houses an incredible collection of artifacts and artwork. The exhibits offer a fascinating glimpse into the cultural and religious heritage of Oaxaca, making the experience both educational and inspiring. 🎨 The staff at the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán were friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and share insights about the history and significance of the site. 👩‍🏫 Their passion for preserving this cultural treasure is evident and greatly appreciated. Overall, my visit was an unforgettable experience that left me with a deeper appreciation for the history and beauty of Oaxaca. 🏞️ Highly recommend!

Templo del San Blas, a church in Cusco, is renowned for its exquisite artistry and unique architecture. The intricately carved pulpit, believed to be the finest in the world, showcases a fusion of indigenous and colonial artistic traditions. Located in the artisan quarter of San Blas neighborhood, this cultural gem stands on the site of an Incan temple dedicated to the god of thunder and lightning.
Very impressive "small" church with an interesting mix of influences. The painted ceiling and roof beams are particularly impressive and worth more careful study; it's just a pity that photography is not allowed. A trip up the 'bell tower' is well worth it for the view over the square as well as the extended town & country beyond.

The Temple of the Moon, also known as Huaca de la Luna, is situated near Trujillo in Northern Peru. It was part of the ancient city of Huacas de Moche and alongside the Temple of the Sun. The remnants between these structures reveal a densely populated community with residential areas, workshops, and religious buildings. The site features finely finished floors and painted walls.
Such a cool location, free of charge and a wonderful walk. Highly recommend taking the horse riding on offer from the locals. Such a great experience

A nice place to visit with lovely surrounding areas. The architecture is impressive although be warned, it is forbidden to actually go into the temple and it is surrounded by a barrier so you can only see from afar. Also, depending on the path to take up there, the paths can be a bit sketchy (barking dogs, men getting too close etc.)

If you're on the hunt for a delicious and budget-friendly meal in Cusco, look no further than Chakruna Native Burgers. Nestled in the charming San Blas neighborhood, this burger joint allows you to customize your own burger with a delightful selection of vegetarian and meat patties, including unique options like alpaca. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for everyone—from vegans to meat enthusiasts—who crave hearty burgers made from local ingredients.
A small burger house which offers native burgers. Prices are good. Taste is good. Service is good. Do not expect a full restaurant and a huge chunk of burger. This place gives exactly what it offers and for a fact it does it very deliciously me and my husband. We went there for a late dinner the place was full and everyone was happy and we placed our orders. We were very happy with the burgers we got it felt like home and homemade burgers rather than having a sweet weird burger bread, workers are really nice and smiley. Overall, we enjoyed a lot and find a small cozy feeling in a restaurant we’ve never been before. I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are visiting Cusco🫶🏼

Tasty and generously portioned burgers, both regular beef and exotic varieties (llama, etc.). All burgers come with fries and a small salad. The Double Beef was huge and delicious, with Andean herbs which added something special. Atmosphere is casual, with small tables and modest decoration. Plenty of vegetarian options available.

Arguably one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Unique burger bun and native herbs. The fries were also very well seasoned!

Such a fun and simple place, yet we came back here twice because we just love the concept. The menu isn’t huge, but what they offer is tasty and includes vegetarian options. The waiters were super nice as well! We had the lentil burger and my boyfriend had the alpaca burger. Both were delicious and came with a small salad and fries (includes different sauces). The ambiance is chill and the music is very pleasant. It was definitely one of the most memorable places we got dinner at, and also one of the cheapest. It really captures the essence of Cusco, I can’t recommend it enough!

Nice staff and atmosphere but wasn’t wowed by the burger Positives - good price - nice dips especially the garlic dip Improvements - bun is more like a sandwich than a burger - was served cold - had the veggie bean burger and was flavourless and more of a mush than a patty - didn’t like the ketchup in the burger, would have been best to have on the side to add if you want

I came across this gem of a restaurant, was in the mood for some peruvian tradicional food. Pictures is of (aji de pollo, lomo saltado, and bone marrow plate) it was delicious. The best chicha morada ive had in peru. Its a must. The wait time was a little long, but most definetly worth it because it seemed they made from scratch as you order. The produce they use is top notch! It is owned by a couple i believe. The wife is the waitress and the husband is the chef. Just like i said cute little gem in cuzco! Not a fan of cuycuy cuisine, but all the other tables ordered and loved it. Enjoy!

I don't think any restaurant could do cuy any better justice. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable, he only uses food from the best local sources, and stays true to traditional Peruvian cuisine but with the flare of a great chef. Also the only restaurant with chicha in the city according to a few your guides. Would recommend to anyone visiting this wonderful city.

Loved Uchu. We came for lunch with our two young kids. The food was delicious and the kids loved seeing the meat cooked on the hot stone. It’s upscale but affordable and not pretentious. Ugh and the ribs were soooo good. Also love that it’s local family owned and not some global corporation.

This was the first restaurant we ate in Cusco. The stuffed shrimp potatoes are a must. The meat combo was alright, we weren’t too wowed by it. The trout soup was very flavorful and fresh. Reservations are a must. They tend to be completely booked during the weekends. However, we were able to get a table outside - a bit chilly but it wasn’t too bad.

We visited this restaurant on our first evening in Cusco (Oct 28), and we have absolutely no regrets about choosing it! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food was just amazing. It was my first time trying alpaca steak. It tasted a bit like lamb, and my partner loved it so much! A special thanks to our friendly server "Omar", who provided such warm and attentive service throughout our meal. Sorry for leaving this review a bit late! If any Koreans happen to read this review, I highly recommend this place! The dishes suit Korean tastes very well, and the local staff are so welcoming toward Korean guests. It’ll be a truly special experience. 🇰🇷💛🇵🇪

We went in without reservation for party of 8. At first they said only have table of 4person x2table. We wait a while and they got us 8 person table and private. Thanks for your great hospitality. For food , without question, Hot stone steak is the best here. Our server Deyvid is so helpful. If I comeback to Cusco, will definitely come to eat here again. The price is reasonable.

The meal started off fine. Had the ceviche, tasty. Ordered the ribs for main and this is when it when down hill fast. The slab of ribs comes out with all their condiments, chips and salad, looking impressive. Then it came time to carve in and eat the ribs. These ribs were so dry you could have made a saddle out of them! So we informed the waiter, he came back offering a piece of llama as a substitute instead, we declined as we were put off by the poor quality of ribs still sitting in front of us. We continued with the chips and salad, finally the ribs were removed when we finished those. The manager comes over and tried to explain to us that this is how they serve their ribs( completely over cooked and inedible) I doubt it. They wouldn’t comp the meat even though the same dish that arrived was the one that left the table. Deciding a discount is all we will get. Noting the table next to us also sent back their steak for being murdered. Over all. It started well and ended in a catastrophe. Pick another steakhouse.

Visited twice. Great tenderloin, very tasty. However, the t-bone was too big to cook on the lava stone and got cold as it took that long. Otherwise would’ve given 5*.

Very good steak house right by the hotel where we were staying ! The service was impeccable thanks to Omar and the food was delicious! We particularly liked the guacamole made in front of you ! The meat was very tasty ! Just be careful, the portions are often big !

The food here is amazing. We ordered the guacamole with the ginormous crackers and it was delicious. I ordered a medium Alapaca Tenderloin and it came out perfectly medium. For a low fat cut of meat it was tender and tasty for Alpaca. The presentation of the food was such a work of art and the overall tastes were amazing.

Pizzeria La Nonna is an Italian restaurant with stunning views of Cusco. The menu features more than pizza, and the lasagna is served on the balcony by the sweetest woman. The service is excellent and the prices are good. There is also free extra breads with every order. It's a family-run business, and the pizzas, salads and lasagna are amazing. Thank you La Nonnas for a great experience!
One of the best pizza's I've had around the Sacred Valley. Fresh ingredients, delicious tomato sauce and proper mozzarella cheese that melts in your mouth. 100% recommend. I had the vegetarian one.

I was so glad to have found this place near my apartment. The food was so good, the service was lovely, and they had salads on the menu. I was desperate for a full salad and was very happy with what I ordered, the dressing used was perfect and the salad was refreshing and filling. I also got a picante pizza and it was delicious. The crust was the perfect balance of crunchy and doughy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

Incredible little family run restaurant! So if you are staying in the area you will not be dissapointed! We returned again on another occassion and met others who were doing the same. Location - easy to find and when you get there press the buzzer to be let in (really like this as its like a secret place) Enviroment - maybe 8ish tables so its small but this makes it a great place to go and makes for a more cosy atmosphere. 3 tables outside on the patio which is surrounded by plants, the rest are inside. Quiet area. Owners - absolutly loverly people who speak some English too! They made us feel so welcome and part of the family. Food - great menu choices from freshly made pizzas (even spotted them rolling out the dough etc), pastas and more. All beautifully presented and super tasty. Genuine home cooking here! They even do takeaway Prices - really competitive and much cheaper than the central area. We tipped well as this is a small family business. Additional notes - if you are lucky you may get to meet some of their cats. We arrived midday on their early open and got to spend some time with 3 of them. Made it for us as we love cats. However dont worry if you dont like these fluff balls as they are kept away on the evenings ... I think we just got lucky! Summary - if you're in the area pay them a visit! Top notch food, great price and family feel.

Cozy little restaurant that has friendly and welcoming staff. The food was tasty and the portion was enough, good value for money. It took a little longer to have our food delivered, but it was worth it.

Such a beautiful restaurant. A wife and her husband make the pizzas fresh to order on the back, no frozen stuff here. Absolutely delicious, and such a great atmosphere. It’s a cozy restaurant, very family oriented, and you can tell that all your food is made with love. The owner lady (I sadly forgot her name) was very sweet, and they have a black fluffy cat named Salem that chills out with you inside, and is a very friendly cat. Very cute. Prices were so cheap, and we felt to tip generously because the experience was just so delightful. Do not come here if you’re in a rush. This restaurant is meant for a cozy, no-rush, casual lunch or dinner spot, where conversations lead the dinner. The food is just a great side bonus. Absolutely charming place. If me and my family are ever in Cusco again we will definitely be back. And yes, the pizzas are great!

This place is soooo good! Wow the gnocchi blew me away. Also the owner is such a nice lady. We sat on the balcony and when it got too cold she turned on a heater for us. One of the best parts is her adorable gatita. That cat is desperate for more pets than you can give.

Pachapapa is a charming restaurant located in Cusco, celebrated for its rustic atmosphere and traditional Andean decor. The courtyard offers a delightful dining experience with parasols and greenery during the day, while evenings are enlivened by candlelight and local musicians. The menu features meat-oriented dishes such as cuy chactado, kankacho, and pizzas topped with local ingredients like smoked trout.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Pachapapa! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What made the evening even more special was our waiter, David. He was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome, offering great recommendations that we loved. His service was exceptional and really enhanced our dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Pachapapa, especially with David as your waiter!

Fun dining experience. Called in advance to reserve the Guinea pig. The meat tasted special but it did need some efforts to have the very first bite. It came with potato, salads and corns as sides. Salad was also good, refreshing and dressing was special. Bread/buns were made home, fresh and a bit sweet. Overall a nice place in Cusco.

We went to Pachapapa four times during our six-day stay in Cusco, and every visit was amazing. Each time we ordered different dishes, and we loved every one of them. The service was excellent every time too. Panchita was wonderful, and the rest of the team was just as kind and attentive, even though I don’t remember everyone’s names. The outdoor area has such a unique and cozy vibe, and the other rooms are charming with details like a wood-fired stove. We tried several other restaurants in Cusco, but none had the same authentic feel or flavor. The alpaca meat was delicious, and we also loved the beef ribs, empanadas, ceviche, and quinoa soup. Definitely come here hungry — everything is worth trying!

This was a recommendation from our concierge at JW Marriott. We are glad that we tried cuy here. You have to wait 1hr after you order cuy because they need time to roast it in the oven. Beto, our waiter was nice and helpful explaining where they source their cuy. They get their guinea pigs from sacred valley. All the appetizers were freshly made. I especially enjoyed the corn dish. The restaurant is nestled in Plaza San Blas which is peaceful without many tourists. The house baked bread they serve before the meal is comforting: they have perfect texture and density. I personally thought having an outdoor oven for the bread added more local touch to the atmosphere.

Visited twice during our stay here in Cusco. Each time was pleasant and friendly. The food was great, we had the trout, the seco, the konkachu, and the ossobucco all from their courtyardside stone oven. They great you with some complimentary bread and accompanying salsa. Eat within the courtyard if you can and try their selections of wine or pisco. Gareth, was great, very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu!

This set the bar very high for Peru. After eating Peruvian cuisine in many Latin American countries, my first mainland experience far exceeded them. The food was fantastic, with fresh ingredients and very intentional flavors, including with the house cocktails. The location had a great, natural atmosphere too. But what stood out even more was the service from Gareth. He was amiable, informative about the food, and a joy overall. We look forward to our second visit this trip!

Museo del Pisco in Cusco is not your typical museum, but rather a popular bar that has been a favorite among nightlife enthusiasts for nearly a decade. Housed in a restored colonial building with historical significance, this three-level bar offers an extensive selection of Peruvian piscos, including rare bottles from cult producers. The walls are adorned with informative displays about pisco's history and culture, making it an educational experience as well.
We had the tasting for 120 soles and greatly enjoyed getting to experience and hear about each of the cocktails they made. This included 6 cocktails but apparently I only took photos of the first 3. Highly recommend!

Don't miss this experience in Cusco! We had the class with Gerson and I was so.impresed by his knowledge. It's a pretty great value for how detailed and personal the class is. The tasting was great and offered by the bilingual staff. Gerson offered a lot of recommendations and will answer any questions you have. Wish we had this in NY! Def recommend

Fantastic place! Why? Because the concept of a “museum” paired with a bar is just too good! The pisco sour is top notch and if needed you can get it flavoured (which I didn’t try). For 50 SOL you can even get a cocktail making class to do your own pisco sour. This includes also an extensive intro to the history of the drink as well as an explanation of the different types and grapes. Make sure to talk to bar chef Gerson, he’s so knowledgeable anything related to drinks! Highly recommend to check this place out

We did the Pisco Tasting experience with Gerson as our guide. We learned about the different varieties of pisco and how to best use them. Gerson was incredibly informative and kept us engaged throughout the experience. He is really passionate about educating others on the history of Pisco and what makes it so special. We highly recommend requesting him during your next stop in Cuzco.

The Coca Museum is a small museum that offers educational exhibits on the coca plant, along with a gift shop selling various coca products. It provides insight into the Andean tradition of coca and its historical significance in Peruvian culture, showcasing its uses for medicinal and recreational purposes. The museum's exhibits are presented in both English and Spanish, covering the history of coca use from ancient Inca times to modern-day contexts such as narco wars.
Good small museum with information on the history of coca use in Peru and globally. Reasonably priced, probably can go round in around 15 minutes.

Info/Tips: - Entrance is SOL 10 - Takes around 30 minutes to do the tour of the museum The Coca Museum is a museum dedicated to the history, cultural significance, and various uses of the coca plant. The museum features exhibits on the traditional uses of coca leaves, including their role in religious ceremonies, as a natural remedy for altitude sickness, and as a stimulant to combat fatigue. The museum also explores contemporary uses of coca, both legal and illegal. This includes the production of coca tea and other legal coca products, as well as the controversial history of cocaine production.

I personally adore small museums like this, they had a variety of displays both about the traditional cultural significance of the coca leaf as well as its depictions in modern culture. Gift shop had a solid selection of infused products as well.

They are a free facility and offer tours but we were there on a Monday and apparently they don’t have tours on Mondays. This was informed to us after we were told the tour will be in 15 mins you can look around and then they said, we don’t have enough staff. The chocolates available are nothing extraordinary. The location is central so it is easy to pop by, but nothing special about the place.
Namita C — Google review
This place will teach you many things on Coca leaves, Coca plants, Coca benefits and also cocaïne. It is very interesting, a bit strange and very informative. Only negative point, the museum should be cleaner or more open and clear space. It looks a bit rusty as it is. I recommend to do it. There is also a store at the end which is overpriced for candies but there is some good deal

A-w-e-s-o-m-e. It's a small on the making museum but the info is good enough not too much not too little. Very interesting! There is also a small shop with coca souvenirs like chocolates and tea's, must visit. They vow for legalizing the coca leaf all over since its got so many properties.

This museum has a breakdown of everything coca and cocaine from happy Incas chewing on coca leaves to first ever recorded snorting coke case to celebrities such as Freddy Mercury story about his falling of love in cocaine. The good, the bad, the everything. Also has a little shop where you can buy almost anything coca leaves from drinks to candy to coca leaves themselves.

Interesting museum explaining the pro‘s and con‘s of the coca plant (in cocaine as well as in other forms) and it’s rise in the world. Plaza San Blas

Park
Plaza San Blas is located in Cusco's artisan quarter and is home to a variety of workshops and galleries such as Galeria Arte Olave and Museo Taller Hilario Mendivil, offering an array of striking artifacts, sculptures, religious images, ceramics, and earthenware. The plaza features a small artificial waterfall and picturesque stairs leading to a charming spot for photos with the city and mountains in the background.
The square is pleasant, but it’s not in itself a “must-see,” but the neighborhood is! It feels more authentic, with nice stores and plenty of restaurants nearby that are worth visiting. If you have a couple of days in Cusco, definitely stop by and walk up the hill to the neighborhood overlooking the city.

This plaza should be regarded as the 'entry' to the San Blas neighborhood, which I think is one of the best in Cusco. The immediate area boasts numerous art galleries and excellent restaurants. I wish I had discovered this area sooner, as there were many other places I wanted to try out nearby. This neighborhood is not to be missed during your time in Cusco.

A Gem of History, Coffee, and Color Stepping into this area feels like walking through a beautifully preserved storybook. It's a place bursting with character, offering a truly diverse experience that appeals to history buffs, coffee lovers, and anyone who appreciates vibrant, picturesque streets. The city is full of varied historical sites and diverse circuits (or tours), ensuring there's always something new to discover, whether it's an ancient ruin, a bustling local market, or a hidden architectural marvel. The blend of past and present is seamless and captivating. But what truly sets it apart are the charming, colorful, and ancient alleyways. Wandering through these narrow streets is a delight. The buildings, painted in a beautiful spectrum of hues, provide endless opportunities for stunning photos and a sense of tranquility away from the main thoroughfares. And, of course, the coffee shops are exceptional. Dotted throughout the ancient lanes, you'll find cozy havens serving up fantastic brews. They are perfect spots to relax, soak in the atmosphere, and watch the world go by. In summary: If you are looking for a destination that offers a rich tapestry of history, a thriving coffee scene, and some of the most beautiful, colorful, and enchanting streets you'll ever see, this place is an absolute must-visit. I hope this captures the essence of what you were looking for! Do you want to try and translate this back into Farsi or would you like to add anything else to the review?

There's a bunch of shops, restaurants, and massage places. If you're near Plaza de Armas, it's a bit of a hike with a steep hill, and it might be rough the first couple of days because of the altitude.

Nice little area to walk around, I came here to find local art. All of the places are selling the exact same art for too much in my opinion. We found one store selling pieces for 25% less. But when I got back to Lima they sold the exact same art for half the price. Don’t be fooled that the “artists” are local. Maybe you will find one or two unique pieces. But trust me when I say every place has the same pieces. Even the people out on the street with their small portfolios are selling the exact same art.

La Bodega 138 is a cozy Italian restaurant nestled in Cusco, Peru, offering a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Known for its delectable pizzas, pastas, soups, and salads, this eatery provides an authentic taste of Italy with its handcrafted thin-crust pizzas baked in traditional adobe ovens. The menu features a variety of options including the popular calzones filled with parmesan cheese and tomato sauce.
Very very good. We got a salad and medium pizza which was perfect for 2 people. Despite like 6 servers milling about and we had to wait a few mins to get attention to order and to pay our bill but the servers were all super friendly. Will go again to try the pasta!

Came for lunch, was recommended by Airbnb host. Food was pretty decent, portions are hefty. Service was decent and tried to speak english with us! Free garlic bread! We ordered the Ravioli Asado, meat Lasagna, La 10 Del Diego pasta, and La Bodega 138 pizza. I liked the Del Diego pasta, parmesan chicken was moist and tasty, creamy fettuccine was super filling.

We ate here for lunch and the food & drinks were absolutely fantastic! As soon as we were seated, staff came over with garlic bread and a mix of sauces & olives which was great while you wait for your food. We ordered the grilled steak & gnocchi, I asked for Medium, it came perfect. The Gnocci was fresh and homemade, the pizza was thin, wood fired and probably the best pizza we have eaten. We had the smoked chorizo one which you could really taste the smokey flavours. If you're from the UK, I recommend ordering the Coconut lemonade (1st pic) as it tastes exactly like the Twister ice cream in the UK, so good I had two!

I am going to do a rare thing and rate a restaurant while I am still eating. Bottom line, this is one of the best calzones I have ever had (and I’ve had plenty). I tried their local one, with Peruvian steak, red onions, fresh tomatoes and cheese. Wow. Tender beef and nice quality ingredients. I used the tomato salsa provided with the bread to dip as they did not offer marinara on the side. The pizza also looked good (super thin crust style). The beer and wine offerings were extensive, with local and Belgian beers on offer. Service was friendly and professional. They were smashed with big group just as I arrived, and the waiter told me my order would be delayed by 20 minutes. It arrived in about 21 minutes. Well done. In the meantime they kept me happy with a WiFi password and excellent garlic bread. Overall a place definitely worth visiting, especially given its location at 3400m above sea level. Try making decent pizza dough at that altitude.

After a long day hiking Rainbow Mountain (a must-do!), we were craving something simple like pizza. Our hotel receptionist recommended La Bodega 182 as the best pizza spot in Cusco within walking distance—and it did not disappoint. Just a few minutes from Plaza de Armas, our first impression upon arriving was the vibrant atmosphere. The place was buzzing with energy: happy servers moving quickly, customers chatting, and an overall sense of lively, organized chaos. It immediately made us want to be part of it! The host welcomed us warmly and made sure we were happy with our seats. We chose a table by the bar, where you can watch the cooks prepare pizzas—always a good sign. Although the restaurant has a spacious second floor, sitting near the action added to the fun. I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli, and they were absolutely incredible—the best I’ve had in years. My friend went for a pizza, which was just as impressive: thin, delicate crust, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced flavors. The best part is that you can split one pizza into two different varieties, making it easier to choose from their amazing selection. The service was quick and friendly, and we loved the garlic bread served with two flavorful dips. I highly recommend La Bodega 182 to anyone looking for fantastic pizza or pasta in Cusco. A lively atmosphere, great food, and excellent service—you can’t go wrong here!

Km 0 is a cozy bar located in the San Blas neighborhood of Cusco, offering live music performances ranging from rock to Latin and blues. This Spanish-owned joint is known for its great atmosphere, cocktail happy hours, and a variety of tapas, including the popular tortilla de patatas. Despite its small size, Km 0 is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy good music and friendly service.
I loved this little bar where you can appreciate live music and even if there’s not, they put really good songs on. I had the tortilla and was amazing😍

Very friendly bar staff and good drinks options. Advertised as live music every night, and we asked on entry at 20.45 if there would be live music and were told yes, at 21.00. By 21.30 we left with no sign of any live music starting any time soon. Since we went to this bar especially for live music, this was very disappointing.

We stopped into this little bar for a beer and then noticed that live music was about to start, so we decided to stay. The live music was fantastic — a great mix of traditional Peruvian tunes and some more European styles to suit the crowd. I really enjoyed it! The band was super friendly and entertaining. What was supposed to be just one beer turned into about three hours of great music and fun. This cozy spot is right in the heart of the historical center of Cusco and definitely worth a visit if you want to experience some typical live music. The staff was also friendly and attentive.

Cozy and entertaining place, with live music and an extended happy hour (6-10pm). The second floor is great for group gatherings or a meal in a nice environment. Worth mentioning: place is cash only and the nachos are actually fried wonton with some melted cheese on top, which was very underwhelming.

I love the space, tiny little cozy spot with a little stage, legit love the space. We got piernitos, the sauce is unreal (bit more spicy would be great as well) but the breading was a bit thick. The downfall for me was the cost, 30 soles for a pisco sour is quite a lot. They make a good pisco sour but I've had just as good for nearly half that cost nearby. El Monasterio is about the same cost, and a dramatically more high end.

We had a very nice evening here! The food was ok, not very special but nice if you don't want to eat too expensive. Loved the tequeños. However what made our evening was the live music downstairs, absolutely amazing and such a nice atmosphere!

When in Cusco, don't miss out on trying Thai Street Food. You can find a variety of options on the way to San Pedro market on Calle Nuevo. The food is authentic and delicious, with dishes like Pad Thai and Thai yellow curry receiving high praise. However, some reviewers note that the portion sizes may be smaller than expected for the price. Despite this, the service is friendly and helpful, making it a worthwhile experience.
BEST THAI FOOD IN CUSCO WITH AN UNFORGETTABLE VIEW 🩵 An amazing experience from start to finish. The place has a spectacular view of Cusco⛰️ perfect for relaxing while enjoying great music and a cozy, welcoming vibe. I tried the Thai food and honestly, it’s the best I’ve had so far. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and well-balanced. The pad thai was my favorite, but the fried rice was also incredible, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I also want to highlight the service from Nayeli, who was kind, attentive to every detail, and brought a great energy to the whole experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious Thai food, a chill atmosphere, and a view you won’t forget.

It’s funny to say but this was quite possibly one our our most favorite meals we had while visiting Cusco. The staff and atmosphere were amazing. We had a window seat viewing the square below. The food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our time being able to sit and eat great food and visit. Thai food is probably the last thing people think about when they come to Cusco Peru, but this place was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Would have been 5* except the music was a little loud and when full whilst the food arrived quickly the staff seemed extremely busy. They were very polite, warm and friendly. Had the yellow chicken curry which was beautiful. Lots of flavour and loved the potatoes in there. Try and get a table near the window because the view up the hill is pretty. We nearly walked away also because we didn't realise you have to go through the downstairs restaurant and up two floors.

Really love this place - we came here 4 times on our trip to Cusco. Lovely vibey place with great view - have to walk through a restaurant (chai something) and go up stairs. Great food for decent prices. We loved the pho/burgers/pad thais

This is an excellent place to enjoy great Thai food in a relaxed and appealing setting. The staff are efficient and friendly, there are 2 for 1 cocktails in Happy Hour and the food exceeded expectations. Upstairs from Chia Vegan Restaurant and definitely equal in quality. I ordered the Satay Chicken skewers and a Massaman Curry and both were delicious.

We stumbled upon this place while staying nearby. After finding the entrance (via the Vegan place) we headed up to the rooftop restaurant and were greeted by impressive views over Cusco. Friendly staff took our order. The Pisco sour was the best we have had so far and the food delicious. We had the pad Thai and Tom Kah. We were sharing meals so the waitress had the kitchen split the dishes into cute single serves! We’ll be back tomorrow

This is a great place to sit at the rooftop bar and enjoy some delicious Thai food and drinks. Their happy hour is fantastic! Great prices and wonderful service.

This Thai restaurant is amazing! I first went because I wanted to try Thai food, and I was happy to see they also offer vegetarian options. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend sitting on the top floor — the view is fantastic! The service was excellent too; the waiters were super friendly and always ready to help with any questions. I even went with my dog, and they were very welcoming. They also have happy hour, great drinks, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy your meal. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves good food and great vibes

Green Point Vegan Restaurant in Peru offers a unique experience for both vegans and non-vegans. The restaurant is known for its passion for vegan cooking, offering cooking classes to spread knowledge and enable students to implement what they have learned in their daily lives. It's a popular spot among travelers, serving creative and rich dishes that impress diners with the variety of ingredients used.
Wow, what a cool place, and the inside is gorgeous! The menu is super detailed and tells a story. We got six dishes to share, and the flavors were awesome and unique. The presentation was on point. They used the same veggies in different marinades for some dishes, which was pretty cool. The kimchi dish and veggie sushi were our faves. The veggie tacos, roasted mushrooms, ceviche, and sweet potatoes were all really good too. The service was great, and we had a blast! Plus, the music was excellent.

Our favorite restaurant in Cusco — and maybe anywhere! We absolutely loved Green Point Vegan. I had the pizza and my husband had the mushroom tacos, and both dishes were incredible — packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. Every bite felt fresh and thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, and the staff made us feel so welcome. We’ve eaten at many great places during our travels, but this meal truly stands out as one of the best we’ve ever had. A must-visit in Cusco!

First time at Green Point - incredible and impreccable service by Lluna - patient, explained everything and paid attention to all the details. Ordered the curry that came with a massive naan and falafels. The mango chutney was beyond perfection - portion is incredibly generous, gorgeous plating and really delicious. Highly highly recommend! Gracias Lluna!🫶🏻

These guys.... you can call it the best vegan restaurant of Cusco; but even that doesn't do it justice. It's one of the best restaurants in town, always in a continuous quest of innovation and experimentation to find the highest quality and healthiest ingredients to create the most amazing dishes with. All organic, from regenerative agricultural projects; perfect to nourish body and soul. I have been going here ever since their beginnings and it's just incredible how every time I come back to Cusco, they have improved their menu and dishes, and their whole infrastructure. Truly one of Cusco's best restaurants and one of the very few with an open air atmosphere. We will continue coming back to enjoy the best food and all the innovations!!

This is insane. This is crazy. As I dived into my gigantic grilled oyster mushroom after finishing the ceviche sushi, I thought to myself. “How do they survive? Giving this huge portion?” Looking at the whole plate of oyster mushroom, there underneath them hides two halves of Peruvian purple yellow potato, looking like a big heirloom tomato! I took a first bite into the perfectly grilled potato, my face changed and eyes closed to enjoy the produce. Crazy. The environment, the clever menu that’s filled with warmth and love for the local food, the way they treat food. Mashallah! Now I remember that earlier, the lady next to me ordered the lentil falafel curry and warned me the portion was big so don’t order it unless you’re really hungry. Now that’s coming together. This the 3rd farm-to-table restaurant in Cuzco I’ve visited in two days and I can only say this is beyond expectation. Don’t be like me, ordering two dishes alone. But come back again and again, like I will do for sure.

This is the best little vegan place in Cusco. We love everything about it. The service is outstanding—every server was super attentive, kind, welcoming and polite. The drinks were delicious. The food was tasty especially the pizza! The decor and atmosphere are a stand-out. There are beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. The mural art work is excellent. We love love love it here!!

Where to start! The menu is incredibly well thought out and varied. The food is exceptionally delicious, the chefs clearly have a deep understanding of what flavours complement each other. The front of house staff were so welcoming and knew the menu very well helping us decide what to have. Camilo served us and since this was our first day in Peru it was especially nice to see such a helpful friendly face. And this is all before I even mention the beautifully calming decor! We will be back!

10/10 ambiance, food, taste, everything was amazing!! We had one of the best pumpkin soups of my life as well as 2 vegan dishes based on oyster mushrooms, very very good! Excellent service and beautiful setting as a garden with nice music and some heating. Everything has a fire oven, even the sourdough bread. Highly recommend! Only note was that we had a discount of our tour company but because the manager was already gone they couldn’t do it?
