Uchu Peruvian Steakhouse, named after the Quechua word for chili pepper, was founded in 2013 by renowned chefs Erick Paz Gallegos and Eli Schumacher. Tucked behind ancient adobe and Inca stonework walls, it's conveniently situated near Cusco's Plaza de Armas and Plaza Nazarenas.
Loved Uchu. We came for lunch with our two young kids. The food was delicious and the kids loved seeing the meat cooked on the hot stone. It’s upscale but affordable and not pretentious. Ugh and the ribs were soooo good. Also love that it’s local family owned and not some global corporation.
Roseanna K — Google review
This was the first restaurant we ate in Cusco. The stuffed shrimp potatoes are a must. The meat combo was alright, we weren’t too wowed by it. The trout soup was very flavorful and fresh. Reservations are a must. They tend to be completely booked during the weekends. However, we were able to get a table outside - a bit chilly but it wasn’t too bad.
Myat N — Google review
We visited this restaurant on our first evening in Cusco (Oct 28), and we have absolutely no regrets about choosing it! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food was just amazing. It was my first time trying alpaca steak. It tasted a bit like lamb, and my partner loved it so much! A special thanks to our friendly server "Omar", who provided such warm and attentive service throughout our meal. Sorry for leaving this review a bit late! If any Koreans happen to read this review, I highly recommend this place! The dishes suit Korean tastes very well, and the local staff are so welcoming toward Korean guests. It’ll be a truly special experience. 🇰🇷💛🇵🇪

We went in without reservation for party of 8. At first they said only have table of 4person x2table. We wait a while and they got us 8 person table and private. Thanks for your great hospitality. For food , without question, Hot stone steak is the best here. Our server Deyvid is so helpful. If I comeback to Cusco, will definitely come to eat here again. The price is reasonable.

Visited twice. Great tenderloin, very tasty. However, the t-bone was too big to cook on the lava stone and got cold as it took that long. Otherwise would’ve given 5*.

The restaurant is very good from the atmosphere to food and everything. We had really great time, we ordered steaks from alpaca and red wine and it was delicious. Big thank to our servise Emanuel, he explained us everything and he was very kind.

Very good steak house right by the hotel where we were staying ! The service was impeccable thanks to Omar and the food was delicious! We particularly liked the guacamole made in front of you ! The meat was very tasty ! Just be careful, the portions are often big !

My husband and I shared the 350g local angus ribeye, served sizzling on a volcanic rock hot plate — such a fun presentation. It came with a side salad and a choice of sides; we went for the sweet potato fries, which were delicious. The steak was well-seasoned and paired nicely with the selection of sauces. Next time, I’d skip the dressing on the salad as it was a bit heavy for my taste. Our server Omar was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Overall, definitely recommend!

Morena Peruvian Kitchen is a sophisticated restaurant located in the heart of Cusco, offering stunning views and an exceptional dining experience. The menu features a mix of traditional Peruvian dishes, including the highly recommended Lomo Saltado. This culinary gem not only delights guests with its exquisite flavors but also upholds a commitment to sustainability and authenticity.
Dining at Morena in Cusco was an absolute highlight of my trip! From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel genuinely welcomed with warm smiles and attentive service that never felt rushed or forced. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, informed about the menu, and always had what we needed. Their knowledge of the dishes and recommendations made the experience even more special. The food itself was outstanding—vibrant, fresh, and beautifully presented. Each dish felt like a modern twist on Peruvian tradition, full of bold flavors that showcased the best of local ingredients. The portions were generous without losing refinement, and every bite was layered with taste and texture. Whether it was the ceviche, the perfectly grilled meats, or the creative cocktails, everything exceeded expectations. What impressed me most was the consistency of excellence: top-notch service, amazing atmosphere, and unforgettable food all coming together seamlessly. Morena is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. If you’re in Cusco, this place is an absolute must! PS: thank you for celebrating my birthday with your special touch!!!

High quality meal with generous servings at an affordable price! We liked everything we ordered - the seafood rice was definitely the standout. Ossobuco was also perfectly cooked with the meat falling off the bone and incredibly tender, but would note that this dish is a little heavy and salty. Great ambiance - loved all the lighting fixtures and greenery inside, and service was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cusco. Reservations are a must.

I loved absolutely everything about Morena Peruvian kitchen. I took a chance by walking in without a reservation and got a spot at the bar pretty quickly. The server was so nice and helped me pick out my meal. The drink special of the day was a fruiting pisco drink with passion fruit. The bartender demonstrated how to make the entire drink using super fresh ingredients. The scallop explosion were little delicious mouth fireworks of flavor. The alpaca risotto was cooked perfectly and was super tasty. The risotto was tiny cubed potato’s which surprised me, especially bc I was expecting rice. It was good, but I’m not a potato persons, so I would have preferred rice risotto. It start to pour outside which I could see from the windows overlooking plaza de armas. So, I got the chocolate desert which comes in a cocoa pod. It was very yummy, not overly sweet, and paired great with an espresso. The team allowed me to wait out the rain and let me fully enjoy my delicious meal. One of my main highlights from this trip. The bathroom was super clean and has plenty of tissue paper and great soap
Karin P — Google review
I loved this place so much! From the decor, to the incredible service, to the main highlight the food. The food was fantastic, we got complimentary bread and then ordered the guacamole which was excellent. I got the alpaca with potatoes and a pisco sour and everything was excellent. The staff there are so warm and friendly. I highly recommend
Nye P — Google review
Morena came highly recommended on the forums I looked at prior to booking our vacation. The location is fabulous as it faces the city center. The staff was friendly enough however, when I booked our reservation, I specifically stated we were celebrating our honeymoon. We were originally seated at a table away from the windows and view, but within a few minutes a window table opened up. When my husband asked for us to be moved to a window table our waiter didn’t even ask the hostess, my husband then went downstairs to speak to the hostess that gave him a hard time, but eventually moved us. When we changed tables, we also changed waiters the second waiter was lovely. The octopus was delicious and the beef tartar was good. I got the gnocchi which was OK. My husband got the seafood pasta. Both the Pisco sour and the Pisco punch were very good. We didn’t have dessert. The view was fantastic, but there are also a few other fine dining restaurants that I’m sure have the same view and maybe better service

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Morena Peruvian Kitchen – Cusco (Plaza de Armas) We stopped in for lunch at Morena Peruvian Kitchen, right on the Plaza de Armas, and it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is bright and modern with a perfect view of the square — a great spot to relax and enjoy the energy of Cusco. I had the alpaca steak, which was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and beautifully plated. It’s definitely on the pricier side for Peru, but it’s worth every sol for the quality, presentation, and service. For dessert, we tried the affogato, a creative twist made with mini churros, ice cream, and a shot of espresso you pour over the top. It was the perfect finish to an incredible meal. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast without being rushed. All around, a great place for lunch and a must-try for anyone visiting Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.

Incredible dining experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, sexy and welcoming. The food is beyond words, beautiful and delicious. The service is top notch, working as a team and always on top of things. I just wish I had a bigger stomach to eat more. 100% recommend you eat here! The food is art as well as the entire dining room.
Lisa L — Google review
I stopped by Morena on my last night in Cusco for a solo date and didn’t have a reservation, so I grabbed a seat at the bar for a drink. The waiter made me a special cocktail right in front of me, and after that, they were kind enough to move me to a table , such a thoughtful touch. I ordered an appetizer that was like a Peruvian twist on egg rolls … crispy, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Between the warm decor, kind service, and how everything was presented, it felt like the perfect little send-off dinner. I’m just a foodie who enjoys discovering cozy spots like this and sharing them with my internet friends … come hang out with me on TikTok @foxy.appetite and IG @foxyappetite.

Nestled in the heart of Cusco, Jack's Café is a delightful and cozy eatery that seamlessly blends Western comfort with culinary excellence. The inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee will lead you to this charming café as you wander through the historic streets. Known for its scrumptious breakfast menu featuring fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and perfectly scrambled eggs, Jack's Café is a top choice for a satisfying morning meal.
Great breakfast spot. Good portions and delicious. Went several times because my significant other really liked the food. Good variety that suited both of us. Must try the mocha (add a shot of Kahlúa to spice it up). The Alpaca sandwich was phenomenal!

Great service. Stopped in late morning locking just to grab a coffee and something small. Wife had the oatmeal which was packed with fruits. I had the Ham and cheese sandwich which was enough for two people with basically 1 1/2 sandwiches. Everything tasted great, no complaints.
Jim D — Google review
I went to Jacks twice while in Cusco, both times for breakfast/brunch and both times were spectacular! I had a smoothie and basic egg/toast breakfast the first visit, and Helios rancheros and a latte the second visit. Staff are very friendly and service is prompt, even if you are a group (5) and walk in. The interior is very cute and clean, and there are a lot of shops just up the hill.
Morgan R — Google review
Great restaurant to have brunch all day. I ordered a pumpkin soup and a granola yogurt. Ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Both were very tasty. Would definetly recommend.
Hyntie C — Google review
This café fully deserves its reputation. It is cozy, well designed, and managed professionally. I tried the alpaca burger for the first time and loved it. The fries and sauces were delicious, and the fresh lemonade was the perfect drink to go with the meal. The staff were friendly and service was quick and well organized. Prices are fair for the quality you receive. I would gladly return and recommend the alpaca burger to anyone visiting Cusco.
Mirza K — Google review
Oh my goodness the reviews don’t lie this place is amazing, we are stuffed and it all tasted incredible. We would highly recommend I am vegan GF and there were plenty of options. I’m so glad we found you x
Paul S — Google review
I had the smoked trout sandwich and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread is light and made in-house. The flavor of the trout was fantastic, and it was perfectly balanced with a layer of house-made garlic spiced cream cheese, a drizzle of balsamic, generous portions of avocado, and some capers. I could eat that regularly! The coffee was quite good as well. The layout is so cute and bright, but the WiFi cut out and did not come back on, so possibly not an ideal location for working.
AM — Google review
Interior of the restaurant is grand and bright. Came here for breakfast and the food was meh. I had the alpaca filet combo which was tough and dry. The fried rings were hard and salty. I did like the cappuccino with chocolate powder on top. I was unable to finish the entire meal and the price for breakfast is much higher than other spots around.

Yaku Restaurant is a vibrant and inviting dining spot that offers a mix of classic Peruvian and Andean flavors, as well as wood-fired pizzas and refreshing salads. One of its specialties is the traditional guinea pig dish, known as cuy in Peru, making it an ideal place for adventurous eaters. Located near the municipality of Cusco, this restaurant attracts visitors seeking an authentic Peruvian culinary experience.
Absolutely incredible dining experience! Yaku is hands down one of the best restaurants in Cusco. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of Peruvian cuisine. Every dish is a masterpiece—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and showcasing the freshest local ingredients. The lamb was the best I’ve had in Peru, and the alpaca dish was cooked to perfection. What really sets Yaku apart is how they combine traditional recipes with creative, modern touches—it’s both authentic and innovative. It felt like more than just a meal; it was a culinary journey through the Andes. If you’re in Cusco, do not miss this gem. Yaku is truly unforgettable!

After checking in the hotel, we found this restaurant by Google Maps, the rating of 4.8 with over 5000+ people was impressive, so we did not think twice about any other choices.👍👍 It was really good indeed, I ordered stir-fry chicken and my friend ordered fresh catch of the day , both were excellent choice and recommendations. 😋😋 We got a glimpse of the end of a local folk music performance. 🎶🎶 The secret of getting 5000+ rating is that the waitress gave us two QR code for review, very smart!!!😊😊

Such a gem in Cusco, you can only sit “outside” but they had little stove next to the tables that kept us warm. The food was delicious and looked as a piece of art and the music and staff was so nice!! Special thanks to Luis❤️ 10/10 would recommend

This is a great restaurant. Great vibe. Very relaxed casual. Reminds me of something in LA or Brooklyn in the Summer. Plenty of amazing fresh juice and drinks and desserts to choose from. Modern Peruvian cuisine. Had the Pork and another friend had the Lomo Saltado. All were good with bright fresh ingredients. Love the interior of the restaurant too and its outdoor seating area.

Hidden gem in Cusco - so good we went back twice to try more dishes! Highly recommend the clay oven roasted trout and arroz pork dish - best food I’ve had. Cocktails were also great, including their pisco sour “infusions” my partner loved the chilli one if that’s to your taste. Staff are also super lovely and to top it off wood fired heaters make for a perfect cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

My family celebrated my moms birthday here and we had dinner . The food was great ! And the service is outstanding . I told them it was my moms bday so they did a special thing for my mom , sang for her and gave her a cake ! Zenayda and Darwin and the whole staff were great !!

Kintaro is a great Japanese restaurant in Cusco that specializes in authentic cuisine from Japan. The food is delicious and Instagram-worthy, and the atmosphere is quiet and elegant. The service is excellent, and the only downside of this establishment is the small size of their cocktails.
KINTARO is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants in Cusco! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. From sushi to ramen, every dish was outstanding and full of authentic taste. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Portions were generous, the atmosphere cozy, and everything felt crafted with care. A must-visit if you’re craving top-quality Japanese cuisine in the heart of Cusco!

Based on all the good reviews, we decided to eat here – and we weren’t disappointed. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the teriyaki with rice was really tasty. Service was friendly and helpful – especially Lucas, our waiter. One downside: we had to wait quite a while for our starters, and the vegetarian gyoza was a bit dry. Still, if you’re looking for Japanese food in the area, KINTARO is definitely worth a try.
Jurgen H — Google review
The food and the service were wonderful. Peruvian-Japanese fusion that melts in your mouth good. Our servers, Lucas and Alejandro were good, ensuring we had all the wasabi and sauces we needed and more. Highly recommended!
Elaine R — Google review
This restaurant fell short of our expectations. We ordered a variety of dishes to see if worth to come back. Must day that having liver in Japan, finding a good place to eat is a challenge. The kashiwa udon noodles were just average, like a fast food restaurant. The noodles themselves were better than some places I’ve been in Japan in big cities but the broth was too stringy. The chicken was dry, and the spinach was overcooked and lacked spring onions. We wanted to order different types of sushi, but the 5-pieces-for-x-PEN setup was for the same type, which was disappointing. So, we ended up ordering 1 classic maki salmon that were only five tiny pieces. two sets of five-piece uramaki classic: quinoa and acevichado, which were normal size. The sushi rice was okay, but it wasn’t authentic sushi rice. Maybe it was the house mix that wasn’t to my liking or too subtle and lacked Japanese ingredients. We also ordered one set of two salmon nigiri sushi, which were similar to the others. However, the rice was too loose. We also got gyoza, which was okay but had a strange flavor compared to what I’m used to. The pork (katsudon) was dry, and the presentation was not Japanese at all. It was too messy and not appetizing. The green tea was okay, and the emoliente was flavorless (I can find much better at street carts). Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Mayte E — Google review
absolutely worth the visit, the special makis are the strongest on their menu. loved it!!!!! unfortunately didn’t enjoyed the fried guiozas as much — the filling was a bit odd — and the veggie friendly options were scarce (i was with one vegetarian friend at our table), maybe add more vegetarian options? the place is pretty and the bathroom corridor is very well decorated! the waiter was very friendly but asked to review and mention them at tripadvisor, which i don’t own an account.
Ingrid L — Google review
In short: rude service, dismissive attitude, zero professionalism, and shockingly poor hygiene. A restaurant that treats its customers this way and serves food with hair inside the dishes does not deserve trust – or a second visit. We came to this restaurant expecting a pleasant evening, but instead we had a disgraceful experience. We ordered a sweet cocktail, and what arrived was absolutely undrinkable. Six people at our table tried it, and no one could take more than a single sip. We asked a waiter, for help, but instead of offering a solution, he blamed us, saying it was our fault for ordering a sweet cocktail. Later, another waiter, came to the table, only to repeat the same dismissive response. Finally, the manager, showed up – and unfortunately continued in the same unprofessional manner. Not only did he fail to offer any real solution, but he also spoke to us in an unpleasant way. The only “solution” we were offered was to add tap water to the cocktail. This was insulting and unacceptable for any paying customer. And then, as if all this wasn’t enough, our first course arrived. Before we even touched the plate, we immediately noticed a long, dark hair tangled in the food. This wasn’t a tiny speck that could be overlooked – it was a clear and disturbing sign of extremely poor hygiene in the kitchen. P.s The only helpful part was our waitress Maria , she was nice and understandable.

Went there for lunch, and lots of available seats for walk in--we were immediately seated. Our server, Antonio, was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations! The ambiance, food and price were reasonable. Especially perfect on a cold rainy weather! For the teriyaki, shoyu ramen and 5 piece maki for 2 people, we spent around 124 Soles.

Andean Grill Restaurant is a cozy spot where you can enjoy delicious Andean cuisine. The friendly staff accommodates walk-ins and offers great service in English. The alpaca meat dishes are perfectly cooked and flavorful, with options like alpaca burger and steak. While some patrons found the chips too thick, others enjoyed the diverse menu featuring alpaca and beef heart. The restaurant also offers discounts to passersby, adding to its appeal.
Had a wonderful dining experience at Andean Grill Restaurant in Cusco! This cozy and vibrant spot really impressed me with its warm atmosphere, excellent food, and live music that made the evening even more special. I started with a Pisco Sour, and it was one of the best I had during my trip perfectly balanced and refreshing. For the main course, I tried the grilled trout and a mixed fish grill, both of which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were fresh and authentic, with just the right touch of local spices. The presentation was also beautiful, adding to the overall experience. What truly stood out was the live traditional music playing in the background. It added a lovely cultural touch and created a relaxed, joyful mood in the restaurant. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Whether you’re craving quality Peruvian cuisine or just want to enjoy a great evening with music and local drinks, I highly recommend this place. A must-visit restaurant in Cusco!

Me and my boyfriend went to eat at the restaurant that was recommended by our tour guide. I ordered the menu with starter, main, desert for 45 soles, and my boyfriend had the chicken napolitana. The food was tasty but mine was cold (I believe they prepared to be served with my boyfriend's food, that's why mine was cold). I asked them to heat the food but it took so long as they were preparing the food again. I was starving and it was not so great to wait so long. The environment is nice, but I believe there is other restaurants with better food with the same price.

The place was okay and crowded. Service was fast. Trucha w/wine was very good but tomatoes soup didn't. Overall, a good place but very touristy. Prices are reasonable.
Juan S — Google review
The presentation and the live traditional music were definitely the highlight of the whole dining experience. I’d say the food itself was pretty average, but the atmosphere more than made up for it. What I didn’t really appreciate was the service, they initially offered a 35 soles deal for a 3-course meal outside the restaurant but once I got there, they told me to order from the regular menu instead. I didn’t really mind in the end, but still, not the best first impression.

Tasty and delicious food!! Good size and price for all you receive! Amazing service! I came in feeling bad because of the altitude sickness and waiters were very attentive, they offered me chicken soup and also gave me Tea and something in a napkin for my headache. I felt very much better after that! Very warm service!. On my review just have some pictures of what my husband ate! But it was much more than you can see here.

Very attentive and caring service! We love all our food- Grilled Alpaca with Pepper sauce, Chicken Soup and Ceviche. The portion was huge, we were super satisfied. Beers are very reasonable priced as well. They have live local music performance at night.

Located in the heart of Cusco, Chia Vegan Restaurant offers a unique culinary experience with its Andean-inspired vegan menu. Despite some service issues, the restaurant's warm and inviting ambiance is complemented by friendly staff. The diverse menu features a fusion of Peruvian flavors and vegan options, using fresh ingredients to create dishes like rich mushroom soup, flavorful tacos, and refreshing salads.
We came here after seeing good reviews of the food, and has been a great experience. We visited the restaurant on a week day for dinner and were served by 2 friendly staff. Food ordered for 3 people - Chef Fettuccine - Tacos - Massaman Curry All of them tasted pretty good, and good portion sizes for the price point.

Wholly smokes the portions are huge! The shakes are huge. Great portion sizes for the price. Greta place. Our server Erica was really fun and playful. Very helpful and accommodating. If you like vegan options this place has great twists on everyday food. I had the tacos and they were massive. Must visit in the area

The food was absolutely delicious, and the recommendations from our server, Erika, were excellent. Everything we tried tasted wonderful. Erika is a very kind and attentive person. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited this vegan restaurant in Cusco and had a good experience. The food was tasty and made with local ingredients, with an Andean twist to each dish using corn, quinoa, and other regional flavors. I had the Andean soup and Massaman curry, and the staff were careful to provide gluten-free options, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Andean sushi and Salteado de Seitan, and we also shared the Mango Ravioli, which had a nice presentation. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, making it comfortable for a meal. Our server, Erika, was friendly and attentive, and she suggested trying the Muña tea, which was refreshing and also helped with altitude symptoms. Small details like the cutlery added a pleasant touch. Overall, it’s a nice place to enjoy vegan food in Cusco, especially for those who need gluten-free choices.

Went here twice and had delicious vegan meals. The palta chocolate mousse is to die for. And Fer is such a lovely waitress. Cannot wait to come back to chat with her and practice my Spanish

We had a great experience here. We are not vegan but enjoyed the quinoa burger. Erika provided great service and offered great tips for our time in Cusco. Service was good and cocktails also looked good

Zero stars, and that feels generous. This place is a masterclass in how to ruin food. I ordered their so-called “Pad Thai” — and calling it that should be a criminal offense. It came loaded with random vegetables that had no business being there, drowned in sourness so strong it felt like a punishment, and otherwise had absolutely no taste. Honestly, a packet of instant noodles would’ve been more authentic. My wife ordered a vegan salad, hoping for something fresh. Instead, it arrived smothered in sauce with fried bread thrown in. A “salad” that’s soggy, greasy, and depressing — impressive in the worst way. Then came dessert: the chocolate crepe. How do you take chocolate, which is basically happiness in edible form, and turn it into something so bland and joyless? It tasted like cardboard dusted with disappointment. And let’s not forget — this disaster isn’t cheap. If you’re going to charge those prices, the bare minimum is serving something edible. Instead, it’s overpriced garbage I wouldn’t feed to my worst enemy. The only highlight of the entire meal was when the containers were finally closed and thrown in the trash. Oh, and delivery worked — but that was Rappi, not this restaurant. If someone paid me to eat here again, I’d still refuse. Save your money, your taste buds, and your dignity.

Indigo Bar Restaurant is a popular choice among travelers and Spanish students in Cusco, conveniently located near AMAUTA and the Plaza de Armas. The menu offers a wide variety of Peruvian and Asian cuisine, with the Indigo Sandwich with Avocado being highly recommended. The bar provides a relaxed atmosphere with board games, good music, and a diverse selection of drinks. It's known for its tasty cocktails like the maracuya sour and delicious dishes such as Pad Thai.
Just checked out Indigo in Cusco and had a great time! The place has a chill, modern vibe that's perfect for relaxing. Their cocktails are fantastic and the staff is really friendly. It's definitely a cool spot to hang out with friends. Totally recommend it!
Maria Y — Google review
Indigo Bar, Cusco Some bars make a name for themselves with craft cocktails. Others lean into fusion food, the kind that takes familiar flavors and makes them vaguely disappointing. Indigo Bar does neither. The drinks? Decent. The food? Fine. The service? Functional. But the hookahs—oh, the hookahs—are the best in Cusco. If you’re the kind of traveler who enjoys sipping a maracuya sour while watching a backpacker with a man-bun struggle to light coals, this is your place. The decor is a fever dream of Buddha statues, neon affirmations, and murals that try just a little too hard. But somehow, it works. You come here for the ritual. The slow pull, the aromatic clouds, the way time drags in a place that’s been built for loitering. You come to watch the night unfold, not in a rush, but in wisps of smoke and conversations you might remember, or might not. Either way, it’s worth staying for one more round.
Eric G — Google review
The staff were extremely rude and condescending. They found it funny that we expressed certain requests regarding our food and drinks and witnessed them laughing and pointing amongst themselves. I would not recommend this place at all. There are much nicer places across the street. Atmosphere wise, it really depends when you go, we were here at 12am and only 5 other people were here.
Thanu K — Google review
WORST HOOKAH EVER I came in because of the Huge hookah poster in the entrance, the hookah looks awful and the cheapest one they could find Had aluminum foil holding the hose in the hookah, looks like a kiosk hookah Only had 1 flavor, when I recieveded the hookah after like 10 minutes, the aluminium foil looked very bad, wasn't even placed good on the bowl and I had to fix it, it came with 1 coal which is the chemical coal wasn't even natural coal, after the first hit it felt burnt, because the foil they put on was touching the tobacco because it wasn't even placed good so it was too hot. After 15-20 minutes the single poor coal they put on the hookah started dying so I asked for another coal, which I got after a few minutes And at the end they charged me 38 for the hookah, AND 6 SOLES FOR THE EXTRA COAL I ASKED, like how cheap can you be? I didn't even enjoy this bad hookah and really don't recommend anyone to order it it's a waste of money and like how dare you charge 6 SOLES for a single coal Every hookah place changes the coals on their own without you asking and they don't give you a single coal at the beginning because it's not enough And never never serve such a disgusting and awful hookah Anyway. Don't waste your time

Great atmosphere and service!!! It's my favorite place to have a few drinks before going clubbing in Cusco. Their shisha is alright but their pisco sour is very good. There's a happy hour promotion where you can get two Pisco sours for 36 soles.

Superb food. The creation of dishes is by far a whole different experience well executed. The Tiradito Characato is a must try. Gian Carlo is an excellent host and will surely arrange and accomodate any of your needs. You will pay for the food quality and the dinning experience, not for quantity.

The best place in Cusco. Great for travellers and locals alike. Loved the atmosphere, vibe and style of the place. My boyfriend and I initially went in just for the shisha (which is wonderful) but ended up having wine, pisco sours, two thai curries and playing board games! The food is exquisite and reasonably priced. They had happy hour offers on the drinks. The waitresses are incredible. Friendly and attentive. Could not have asked for better service. We will be back!

El Meson De Espaderos is a delightful dining spot that truly captures the essence of Cusco. Nestled conveniently near the main square, it offers stunning views of the plaza and its beautiful architecture. The menu features an array of grilled delights, including a parillada with various meats like steak, chorizo, and even alpaca steak—each cooked to perfection. Diners can also enjoy a generous salad bar included with their meals, which adds a fresh touch to the hearty offerings.
This place is very nice. For its location, it’s quite accessible. It had a view of the main square. I had the steak with fries and it came with a salad bar which was a great treat. I have no words for the chimichurri. It was expectacular. It is on the spicy side but I like spicy so it worked great. I would def come back here just for that sauce!

As a little guy, I can honestly say that the service and the food here were quite good. We had a great corner seat and we got to overlook that big main square in Cusco and we ate a veggie pizza and had a small half sized bottle of red wine and it was just what the doctor ordered here are some photos.

Very nice 2nd floor view to the Main Plaza, good service and food was good. It wasn’t the best lomo saltado we’ve had but it was good. I had spinach ravioli which were more less, since some of them weren’t fully cooked.

Tourist food done well. Great place to visit and have a small meal. Overlooks the Plaza and cathedral.
John H — Google review
Lots of restaurants in the town square to chose from, I wouldn’t recommend this as a go to. I had the soup and my wife had aji de gallina. Both our meals were ok, but nothing super special. The broth was extremely tasty in the soup, but the noodles and beef lacked seasoning. Same with my wife’s chicken dish. From trying many different dishes around Peru with lots of seasoning and burst of flavors, this was a slight let down. Don’t misunderstand, wasn’t bad, just expected more.

Great view of the plaza and surrounding architecture. I had a lomo de alpaca and was perfect. A nice bonus was the salad buffet which had several options to choose from. Service was fast and humorous. Price was fair. Go if you can !

This is more of a bbq place. Most items are of the bbq variety. I tried the alpaca steak which was cooked well, and the grilled chicken. They do have an open salad bar that's included in the price! The location and view is perfect on the main square.

Amazing food and service (by Luis). The chef was super friendly. He told us his favorite dish was the Saltado Mar & Tierra and the passion fruit trout. The saltado has such different layers of flavors! Best beef we have had in Peru. It’s Andeas and Peruvian fusion. The cream is delicious.

The best bar in the world as far as I’m concerned. Wish I didn’t live across the world so I could visit this amazing place every week. The drinks and food are fantastic, but the atmosphere, owner, and people who work there make it a truly special place that will always have my heart ♥️

This hotel was spectacular from start to finish. Jair was exceptional and took great care of us from the moment we arrived. In fact all the staff were so engaged and friendly. Kudos to the gentlemen on breakfast too! Everything was top notch. All the little details and special touches didn’t go unnoticed. From the hot water bottles to the herbal baths, it’s genuinely the little things that count! Thank you again for a great stay and I cannot reiterate how “Excellent” the staff were at this “Exceptional” property.

Like many others, I truly cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It’s gorgeous, the breakfast is delicious, there is a wonderful heated pool and the entire ambiance is perfect. And this doesn’t even cover the exceptional service, helping us with bags, getting us diapers when we ran out early in the morning before pharmacies were open and arranging for a late check out even on a busy day for the hotel. Truly can’t say enough good things, if you get a chance to stay or even to visit you must! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is the best hotel I have ever stayed so far, first of all, the beautiful bedding is white color with embroidered elegant flowers which make me feel like home, (all the towels have embroidered flowers on them too) most of hotels’ bedding are white, I guess it’s easy for hotels to clean them, and it makes guests feel like guests. The room furnitures are local crafted with beautiful relief sculptures that remind you are in Peru. On your nightstand you even can find clothes for your glasses, you can find water and bottle opener on your nightstand as well. The hotel restaurant offers you delicious food, I found the most delicious mashed potato here! Usually hotel restaurants’ food is not very good! I would never guessed that my best hotel was in here! Of course, the room and bathroom are huge!

Amazing hotel, definitely one of the top hotels around the world. The atmosphere is magical, the decor beautiful and tastefully arranged, the rooms spacious, and what makes this hotel truly special is the dedication and effort the staff put into making your stay a truly unique experience. From the receptionists to the cleaning team, everyone is very professional, communication never fails, and their care for their guests is clear. Our girl had altitude sickness, and they arranged for a doctor and a nurse to visit us promptly, and checked on us regularly to make sure she was alright. We just finished our room service dinner and again, amazed with the quality and service they provide for room service. Delicious food, updates on their situation (as they had a busy day), and a little extra to make our children happy… we all feel like we’re being spoilt. We all wish we could stay here longer!!! Next time we will come for one week, just stay in this magical place and enjoy walking around Cusco.

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The location is perfect. The hotel is gorgeous and so charming. I cannot wait to come back to Cuzco just to stay at this hotel. But by far the thing that made our experience was the staff and incredible service. Inkaterra La Casona - Relais & Châteaux is a luxurious boutique hotel housed in a 1500s manor, offering an intimate and elegant experience. With only 11 sumptuous rooms set around a colonial courtyard, it exudes opulence and charm. The property's rich history is reflected in its immaculate restoration, providing guests with a sense of homecoming as they are welcomed through an old unmarked wooden door by the doorman.
This hotel is stunning, with excellent service and meticulous attention to detail from the moment you arrive. The suite was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a massive, elegant bathroom. The tasteful renovation blends the natural beauty and historic architecture with modern touches like glass walls. While the price is steep (there are great options nearby for a fraction of the cost), the experience here felt truly magical.

From the elegant decor to the meticulously maintained facilities, every detail contributes to a vantage/ historical old building and comfortable atmosphere. The staff’s fluency in English was a significant advantage, making communication seamless and enhancing my overall experience. This hotel is one of the nicest hotels in Cusco, easily top 2 with the monasterio. It feels lowkey and unassuming on the outside, but inside it’s luxurious and historical. It is best known as the home of Simon Bolivar and you can feel the history in the walls. The staff is the second best parts of this hotel, they very welcoming and kind- Elvis always answers the door promptly and the food is spectacular. We had the most delicious lemonade here and went to Inkaterra Machu Picchu the day after and it did not compare. The bedroom is nice but the bathroom specifically is spectacular. The shower and bath is separate and the tub is huge. They offer a free oxygen service and even in the summer the room felt cool. They went above and beyond and even let us keep our bags there during the day past our checkout time. I will refer this wonderful hotel to anyone that goes to Peru.

It’s a 16th century colonial style home that has been refurbished. Beautiful fireplace and marble tub. The hot water could be hotter for a bathtub which I requested. Incredible staff. I just DO NOT think the value is quite there. Especially for Cusco.
Talie M — Google review
Our first experience of three Inkaterra properties started here in Cusco. LOCATION: This is the highest hotel we’ve ever stayed in at 11,152 feet up in the Andes, located on Cusco’s west side. The hotel is within walking distance to a lively town square complete with churches, shops, restaurants and street vendors. ATMOSPHERE: The plain exterior doesn’t do the interior justice by any means. Walk through the huge wooden front doors and you’re transported back into the 1500’s with a touch of modern amenities. A central courtyard is surrounded by all 14 of the hotel’s suites. The only restaurant is located just off of the main lobby. CHECK IN: Vanesa was the gal who got us settled. She was very welcoming and professional. We were greeted with coca tea that aids with altitude sickness which we both suffered from for a few days. ROOM: We had one of the larger suites just for the night, returning to a smaller suite a few nights later after taking in Machu Picchu. The oversized suites sport high ceilings, living areas with fireplaces and oversized king beds (possibly two queens adjoined). Because both of the suites we stayed in were at the front of the hotel, it wasn’t the quietest as we heard lots of car alarms and people having fun in the street in the late evening. On both occasions, having the fireplace started resulted in a total room smoke-out, so the only heat we had were from the candles and heated wood floors. There is definitely something wrong with their chimneys that should be addressed. WiFi was free but only worked in the room. BATHROOM: The oversized walk-through marble-walled bathroom spanned with width of the bedroom and was accessible on either side of the bedroom. Two sinks were a welcomed feature with a soaking tub sitting in between them. Strong water pressure was everywhere. The shower and water closet were spacious. And, like in 99% of Cusco, they ask that you not flush your toilet paper but toss it in the trash. Yuck. This was the only Inkaterra property that provided body lotion, a necessity in these parts! All the usual amenities were available. DINING ROOM: We had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner here in the quaint space that seats maybe 12 people. Skylights let in lots of natural light. AFTERNOON TEA: Complimentary afternoon tea is from 4-5pm and included tea, a very tasty hot chocolate, cookies and cake. DINNER: We had the entire place to ourselves as we like to eat late. Seasonal Vegetable Soup - $6.76. The soup wasn’t what I expected. No chunky vegetables but instead they were pulverized in a blender and finished in a tomato-cream sauce. Shrimp & Avocado Salad - $10. An avocado was cleverly skinned, hollowed, scored and formed like a curled up caterpillar, stuffed with a tasty shrimp mixture inside. Visually appealing and tasty! Crispy Guinea Pig Confit - $20. Yup, I wanted to try this Cusco staple that I had for a pet as a child. My spouse was reluctant but did try a tiny piece. I received two cuts of guinea pig, expertly cooked and seasoned. The taste was like a chicken-duck mixture and not gamey at all. There were a few bones to deal with. A small tower of stewed tomatoes came to the side. Lamb Shank - $19. My spouse’s dish. The bite I had was very tender, savory and not gamey. Pear Dessert - $5.50. A whole pear was peeled and cooked with purple corn turning the pale fruit dark red. Streaks of buttery Cool Whip-like cream came to the side for dipping. Light and refreshing! BREAKFAST: Breakfast was included with our suites, featuring continental offerings, cereals and hot selections off the menu. My mushroom, ham and cheese omelette was very good. Dining room service was top notch, professional and very personal due to the low volume of patrons. TIP: USD money exchange was available at the registration area. OVERALL: Beautiful facility, personal service was everywhere, excellent cuisine.

Was a pleasure to stay here. Felt very exclusive and almost secretive. The outside is unassuming but the inside is luxurious. The room we stayed in was likey one of the top 3 rooms I've ever had the priveledge to stay in. The room itself was spacious and gorgeously appointed with coloums in the room. The bed was the most comfortable on our entire trip, and the turn down service include a hot water bottle in the covers along with a chocolate. The bathroom was larger than many hotel rooms with a rainshower and a seperate tub that can fit ANYONE... They also provide a baby Jesus to place outside your door instead of a do not disturb sign. I would highly recommend a stay here.

In Cusco, most of the luxury hotels are renovated from aristocratic mansions and monastery ruins. It has been devised so as not to show it as much as possible, and it retains a lot of traces of the past when it was a private mansion. The furnishings are all wonderful antiques, and you will be enraptured. On the other hand, the bathroom was convenient with the latest equipment and a towel warmer. The staff works behind the scenes, and when the guests need it, they show up to meet their needs. The preparation of the bubble bath in the room starts with the selection of the aroma oil, then the foaming, temperature control, and the staff will take care of everything. Compared to the spa facilities of the same group, it's too simple, but the massage technique was amazing! I would like to take care of you again.

Wild Rover Cusco is a lively adults-only hostel with modest dorm rooms, offering city views, a restaurant, and an Irish bar. It's known for its vibrant atmosphere and offers weekly activities for both guests and non-guests. The hostel's central location provides stunning views of Cusco from its terrace, making it a great spot for breakfast before heading out to explore the city. Additionally, it features large screens for watching football matches and hosts weekend parties with barbecues.
One of the best hostels I've been to. Definitely the place to be if you're a solo traveller! If you're a female solo traveller I'd heavily suggest booking a only female dorm, the beds are amazing, very spacious and they come with a tent to have much needed privacy after long travel days. The room I was in was very quiet even with people partying outside. Hot showers, beautiful view of the city from the bar, and amazing memories. Much better than other party hostels in Cusco :)
Matilde V — Google review
I'd like to commend the owner / staff at this place, I lost 450aud near my bed and they found it and returned it to me a week later when I was back in the area, I really appreciated that. This place isn't really my scene but it does the job, nice place to stay but better if you want to party vs wanting to relax and explore. The bathrooms and rooms were clean, although the room smelt pretty bad.
Dave H — Google review
Had so much fun staying here! Would definitely recommend if you want a hostel with great staff, clean rooms and tons of activities. They have a great bar with really good food! It also feels very safe to stay here, because they take security very seriously by having a locked gate. The staff is very welcoming. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the plaza, but everything else makes up for it!
Emilie D — Google review
We really enjoyed our stay at wild rover. We arrived super early after a night bus and Eric was really welcoming and let us have a hot shower right away that felt like heaven!! The place has good installations and Eric was just fantastic at this warm welcom!

Great experience at this hostel! The staff was super welcoming including Eric at reception who gave me and my friend a free upgrade so that we could be in the same room! There is so much to do in the Hostel alone and everyone is super friendly. Overall a great environment to party, connect, and just to make even the chill time at the hostel memorable!
Alex F — Google review
We had a great stay at the Wild Rover Cusco. Erick and Alexandra were very helpful and accommodating at reception during our stay even offering us an upgrade on our room & early check in. The activities and tours available from the hostel are very good and the facilities are excellent. Highly recommend here for your stay in Cusco!

Great location and amazing facilities with a really beautiful courtyard area! A very social hostel no doubt. Erick at the reception was exceptional with us and made us feel super welcome and guided us to our rooms, even when he had a very early check in!

Hotel Monasterio San Pedro is a relaxed hotel located in Cusco Historic Center, just steps away from San Pedro Market and a short walk from Plaza de Armas. The hotel offers laid-back rooms, a refined restaurant, and a lounge area with a landscaped garden. Guests can indulge in massages, body treatments, and facials while enjoying complimentary wireless internet access and concierge services. The property also features dry cleaning/laundry services and a 24-hour front desk.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff is very friendly, its location is very good too as the market and one the largest churches are right next to it.

Very cold rooms. Heater very slow. Safe in room did not work. Extremely bad insulated very loud. Breakfast buffet good with large variety. Spa service with excellent offers. Laundry service worked well. Just opposite San Pedro Mercado in city center.
Marina S — Google review
On our trip to Cusco, my wife and I stayed at the Hotel Monasterio San Pedro. The hotel is attached to the San Pedro Monastery as the name suggests. The common areas of the hotel, including the gardens, are decorated according to local custom. Additionally, the location of the hotel was great, just a short walk from the main square of Cusco. We really enjoyed the garden with alpaca statues. Our room was very spacious. The bed was also very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious. We found the room to be a bit too cold at times and the small heating appliance was insufficient to cope with that. The hotel offered a nice breakfast every morning, with a variety of juices, yogurt, fruit, and cold cuts.
Michele D — Google review
Hotel is nice, rooms are clean, staff were nice. Located right next to the market. Although unfortunately to dampen the stay the spa was snot good. Had a terrible massage I do not think the lady had any training.
Danielle L — Google review
Structure and common spaces are beautiful, breakfast excellent, compared to them the rooms are quite simple, and small; location excellent in the old city, and at the side of a trin station.

Great location just outside san pedro market, beautiful iinside garden and one of the best breakfast buffets we’ve had. Nice helpful staff and very comfortable sunny rooms.

Cooking class
Cooking Marcelo Batata is a renowned restaurant in Cusco, offering a unique blend of Novoandina and criollo cuisine. The restaurant takes pride in modernizing ancient recipes to create exceptional dishes. With a rooftop terrace providing stunning city views, it offers a relaxed atmosphere for indulging in crowd-favorite dishes like salted avocado with homemade pita bread and alpaca chili con carne.
My girlfriend and I booked a private course in the morning. It was such a great experience! Christina gave us such a rich background of Peruvian history, Cousine and local ingredients. We learned a lot and it was so cool to prepare a ceviche and a meat based main course which of course we enjoyed afterwards-delicious! Before that we tasted various local fruits and had bites of cuzcan appetizers. The pisco tasting and learning how to make a pisco sour completed the experience. Definitely value for money given the food and drinks that you enjoy during the course. Last but not least they were able to adapt everything to be gluten free, as I am celiac. Thank you so much Christina!

Marcelo and his wife held a private cooking class for my husband and I in their home during our honeymoon. This was the highlight of our trip!! We were taught how to make two local dishes and we had the best time. Not only was the food amazing and the cooking experience so much fun we had a genuinely good time with them. They are some of the nicest people I have met, had so much information on the history of the food, we could have stayed for dinner! I highly recommend this if you are looking for a fun and different experience in Peru.
Morgan S — Google review
An amazing educational and hands-on culinary experience in Cusco! Fernando keeps the class fun and engaging while teaching authentic Peruvian cooking techniques. The ceviche and lomo saltado were outstanding, and the Pisco sours were a perfect 10/10. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s family-friendly, great for couples, food lovers, or anyone wanting to learn about Peruvian culture and cuisine. Worth every penny and definitely one of the best things to do in Cusco! Highly recommended!

I participated in the Culinary Experience (no cooking, just eating and talking). My guide, Chef Cristina, was knowledgeable about the native produce, answered my many inquisitive questions, and was the most awesome dinner and walking companion. Not only did she explain the traditions and origins of the ingredients and dishes, our conversation ranged across a spectrum of topics associated with Peruvian culture, society, and history - both ancient and recent. It was truly a memorable experience! My thanks also go to Chef Jose, who was able to make the arrangements to accommodate me at the last minute.

Great experience with kid and grandparents. We went for the 10am English class and it was perfect for lunch. We made two delicious courses and cocktails. We learned so much about Perus agriculture and food. Chef Fernando was great with kids - he played kids music, had mocktails and assisted them with cooking. Highly highly recommend. One of our best experiences in Peru.
Roseanna K — Google review
Would highly recommend this class! Christina was a wonderful teacher throughout the day. She shared a wealth of information about the history of food in Peru and how it was influenced by different immigrant groups, politics, etc. We did a fruit tasting of maybe 6 or 7 different ones, toured their “market” on site that represented typical markets, tasted some local delicacies, made ceviche and lomo saltado, and did a little pisco tasting before we made our own pisco chilcanos. We had a fabulous time and would definitely tell others coming to the area to do it as well. We did a 9 AM class I believe and were done around 12/12:30.

I did the Cusco Culinary Tour and it was fabulous. My guide was Fabricio, who excellently described the food and history behind it all. We began at the restaurant making a Pisco Chilcano with several food tastings. Then we went out to the city to sample tamales, kebabs, and picarones. I would highly recommend this tour.
Katie K — Google review
I really enjoyed this culinary tour with Christina. Her knowledge of Peruvian food stems from her background as a chef. I enjoyed the history behind each dish as well. I was completely full, and a little happier with some pisco sour, by the 3rd stop, and had to make room for 2 more tastings! Highly recommend this tour!

When exploring the vibrant bar scene in Cusco, Huaringas Bar stands out as a must-visit destination for Pisco enthusiasts. Don't miss happy hour when you can indulge in fantastic drinks at an unbeatable price!
An excellent culinary experience with wonderful ambience! I was able to order my grilled fish rare, as I prefer it. Also notable for craft cocktails - Huaringas means Pisco sour and they offer a wide variety of them - but only 'house wine'.

At "Anticuchos y rocoto relleno « San Cristobal »," you can indulge in the vibrant flavors of Peru with their signature dish, Rocoto Relleno. This delightful creation features large rocoto peppers filled with a savory blend of seasoned ground meat, onions, olives, and boiled eggs, all topped off with melted cheese for an extra layer of richness.
(Translated by Google) Street food stall but one of the best you will find in this Plaza de San Cristóbal and all at a very good price. It has covered yuquitas for 3 and 5 soles, choripan for 8 soles, stuffed rocoto for 5 soles, hamburgers and chicken and meat anticuchos. The yuquitas and stuffed rocotos were the best we tried there, it also has a variety of different homemade sauces and the homemade chili was the best! You can pay with cash or yape.

(Translated by Google) Good food, you combine it as you wish, the last time I went, about 2 months ago, I ordered a combination that had a little bit of everything, I don't remember the name, but I finished it because it was delicious, even though I was full, I think it cost me between 15 or 20 soles, but that was easy for 2 people, that night I didn't have dinner, I only had a mate de muña. And not to mention the corn chicha, wow... that Kero-type glass glass, topped with yapa, that was almost 1 liter. May God give health and prosperity to the young lady, and to the coach who serves there. Successes!
