We had a very nice lunch. The focaccia, the quinoa salad and the coffees were tasty. All our dishes were accompanied with detox water. There are many gluten free, vegan and dairy free dessert options. Both the chocolate cake and the gluten free banana-walnut cake were moist. Charming Peruvian decorations and clean toilet.

Awesome little place. We stopped for a coffee/tea break and had the most spectacular banana and passion fruit cakes. We also ordered a delicious coffee and natural ginger tea. They have gluten free bread, it is vegan and vegetarian friendly. Love the energy and style of this place!

The pastries and cakes here are very good, one of the best carrot cakes I've had in my life, mostly because there is dulce de leche in the middle. Yummy! The salteña was also delicious and the alfajor, while small, was the best I had in Cusco.

If you want a DOPE panini, look no further! Had the best one there and was so impressed. Definitely coming back. Really appreciate the thoughtfulness of how they make them. Respect and gratitude for that. The sitting arrangements are okay, bathroom is also alright. Not top of the line, but it’s decent in that regards if anyone cares about those details.

The only place i found matcha latte in Cusco. The first two times it was good, last time I had to ask for more matcha as they made it too weak. The chocolate cake is moist and delicious.

Beautiful and unassuming spot to enjoy some delicious bread and coffee/tea. There are too many delicious spots around to stop here again during our trip but I'm glad I got to come here at least once.

Small nice café not far from the Plaza de Armas. If you are looking for a little snack in between, this is the place to go. We had the cheese and avocado bread, as well as cookies and homemade lemonade. We can recommend everything without exception. The service is nice and the prices are more than fair.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst café experiences I had in Cusco. The service was not friendly at all, which really stood out compared to the warm and welcoming vibe everywhere else in the city. The place tries to look like a European-style coffee shop, but the organization (or lack of it) leaves a lot to be desired. I waited 30 minutes without receiving any coffee or food, so I decided to leave. On top of that, the hygiene was concerning: I saw the waitress putting her fingers inside the supposedly clean water glasses, and when the water finally arrived, it had a strange consistency. I ended up going to an organic coffee shop nearby, which was much better in every aspect.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the whole world! Their normal espresso drinks are top notch and delicious but their specialty drinks are incredible. Add on a beautiful atmosphere, great food and service, and fast WiFi, it’s obvious why this place is so popular

This is one of the best coffee bars worldwide and unfortunately this makes it really busy. If you arrive at the end of the morning there could be a line to enter, starting outside. We had to wait for a few minutes before we could be seated. Afterwards it took quite a long time before we could place an order. The staff was very friendly to us. It was a disappointment that all the pastries were sold out before 11 AM. Our coffee tasted really good, they have quite a lot of options. It certainly tasted very special. It was nice to visit here for once but I would not visit again due to the high volume of people.

We had a great time at Three Monkeys. It lived up the hype of being the 22nd rank best coffee shop in the world in 2025 with outstanding coffee and basque cheesecake. I had the “La Margarita Geisha” latte and LOVE it

Great service. Stopped in late morning locking just to grab a coffee and something small. Wife had the oatmeal which was packed with fruits. I had the Ham and cheese sandwich which was enough for two people with basically 1 1/2 sandwiches. Everything tasted great, no complaints.

I went to Jacks twice while in Cusco, both times for breakfast/brunch and both times were spectacular! I had a smoothie and basic egg/toast breakfast the first visit, and Helios rancheros and a latte the second visit. Staff are very friendly and service is prompt, even if you are a group (5) and walk in. The interior is very cute and clean, and there are a lot of shops just up the hill.

Great restaurant to have brunch all day. I ordered a pumpkin soup and a granola yogurt. Ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Both were very tasty. Would definetly recommend.

This café fully deserves its reputation. It is cozy, well designed, and managed professionally. I tried the alpaca burger for the first time and loved it. The fries and sauces were delicious, and the fresh lemonade was the perfect drink to go with the meal. The staff were friendly and service was quick and well organized. Prices are fair for the quality you receive. I would gladly return and recommend the alpaca burger to anyone visiting Cusco.

I had the smoked trout sandwich and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread is light and made in-house. The flavor of the trout was fantastic, and it was perfectly balanced with a layer of house-made garlic spiced cream cheese, a drizzle of balsamic, generous portions of avocado, and some capers. I could eat that regularly! The coffee was quite good as well. The layout is so cute and bright, but the WiFi cut out and did not come back on, so possibly not an ideal location for working.

Interior of the restaurant is grand and bright. Came here for breakfast and the food was meh. I had the alpaca filet combo which was tough and dry. The fried rings were hard and salty. I did like the cappuccino with chocolate powder on top. I was unable to finish the entire meal and the price for breakfast is much higher than other spots around.

The ice cream tastes homemade. The gluten-free waffle was stale as heck hahaha it was not great. My friend got a nutella/raspberry mix thing which was delicious. The bubble tea was not bubble tea and the tapioca was either old or was that coffee gelatin. I liked the coloring part and the aesthetic is nice.

It is a charm place to stop by to get homemade ice cream. I love the vibe and I cream other desserts and crepes ok but not amazing. Great service every one nice and polite.

I craved churros during my time in Cusco. This place had good reviews so I thought I’ll give it a try. I got salted caramel ice cream, churros and hot chocolate promo. Salted caramel ice cream was good, thats why I’m rating this 3 stars. But the churros, I didn’t like the texture at all. It was doughy inside. The dips couldn’t even make up for it. Meanwhile, hot chocolate is just passable for its taste.

Amazing place with a cute inner courtyard and lovely staff. They do sandwiches, crepes, cake, ice cream, fresh juice, smoothies... the lot. Huge portions, reasonably priced. While you wait they give you a mandala to colour with pencils, which was an unexpected twist. Definitely recommend.

I came in because I fancied a crepe. They have lots of options on the menu, especially for ice creams. A lovely girl originally served me and I ordered a Nutella crepe and a soy latte. They gave me a mandala to colour while I waited, which I thought was a great touch. The crepe itself was very good — a great size, filling, and a good Nutella/banana ratio. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t great. I let the staff know I wouldn’t be drinking it, as I personally didn’t think it was up to standard. After that, three different people came over to ask me again what was wrong, and one man in particular was quite patronising in his attitude, which I didn’t appreciate. When the bill came, the latte was still on there even though I hadn’t touched it. I paid it anyway, as I understand I ordered it, but it would’ve been nice to feel a bit more understood rather than uncomfortable. After I mentioned the coffee, the service noticeably changed for the worse — they avoided me even when I asked twice to pay with card. Overall, the crepe was genuinely great, but sadly the experience was let down by how the coffee situation was handled.

This Starbucks was empty and very cozy, making it a great spot to relax or catch up on work. However, the entrance could be easier to locate—clearer signage would help. As always, Starbucks is a reliable choice for a quick stop or using the internet. They have the ‘You are here collection” where you can get the Peru mug. The staff were polite and took the time to explain the situation with the toilets. Unfortunately, the toilets were closed due to water issues in the building. If needed, there’s a public restroom nearby for 2 soles.

The location was a little tricky to find and the toilets were closed (we heard this is a common occurrence) however, the staff and drinks were as good as any other Starbucks. The views and atmosphere were stellar!

The coffee at this Starbucks was good, and there were plenty of comfortable seating options, which made it a nice place to relax for a bit. However, the food was a letdown — not very fresh and didn’t taste great. Overall, it was an okay experience, mostly thanks to the drinks and the atmosphere.

Trying Starbucks in Perú ruined Starbucks in the USA. Flavors in Peru taste more real and natural compared to the US that it is only fake syrup taste. I loved the Algarrobina drink from the Peruvian flavors. I hope they bring those flavors to the IS sometime. I am done and exhausted of pumpkin spice and all that American Starbucks stuff. Peruvian Starbucks is way better.

We stopped in Cafe D’Wasi to have some coffee and an empanada. We will rush for time, but thought we could order at the table quickly rather than place it to go order. The service was incredibly slow. They brought the menu but didn’t come back and we had to wave them down. We ended up walking up to change our order to go and they made the coffees for us and heated up the empanadas. Overall this place is good, but not amazing. They do have good coffee and empanadas and the store is clean, but the service can be improved.

I was a barista for a while back in New Zealand and after having travelled through Chile and Bolivia, it was beyond refreshing to have such a great coffee. Music and atmosphere was wonderful. I’m no coffee snob, but if you appreciate a decent cup, this place is 100% the spot to hit. I got a Chemex and mushroom, avocado and bacon on toast and was very happy. Central location and friendly staff. A bit on the expensive side but a nice treat.

“Cafedwasi” is a very nice little café right in the center of Cusco. They offer a great selection of brunch dishes, toasts, and sandwiches. The portions are generous and really delicious. The Café Bonbon is amazing, you definitely have to try it!

12 PEN for an iced latte. Didn’t taste good, but it is an ok cafe to go in for a drink and rest, or do some work. Could be a working cafe. There were limited electric outlets though.

Love this place! The staff speaks English rather well. I do feel they could use an extra hand at peak hours but still one of my favorite spots regardless. I had the D’Wasi sandwich and the sauce that comes with it just tops it off. Americano is reasonably priced and well brewed!

Good place with big menu in both English and Spanish. Prices are overall good. We ordered one of their breakfast menu at 10 SOL which included eggs, 3 pieces of toast with butter / jam, hot drink and juice. It's a little bit of an on school atmosphere which is charming. No wifi

Ordered the set of breakfast around 25, coffee it just ok, burnt bread and jam, juice was good tho. If you like oldies style breakfast here it for you but I prefer other modern cafe ( coffee+ juice and toasted on your choice) which I paid the same price.

Had the most amazing coffee and caramel pastry! They give milk in a huge cup and coffee to add separately. The combination of the sweet and coffee was amazing! The art works at the Cafe were unique and incredible. I was enjoying my coffee and appreciating the art. Highly recommended 👌

Perhaps the most iconic of all Cuzco cafés. Super classic environment, great coffee, pastries and a local atmosphere with some interesting art work on the walls. Love it and you will love it too. Don’t forget to order their lengua de suegra or mother in law specialty! Amazing place and a must visit in town.

We arrived super early into Cusco and we were so happy we stumbled across this place. Huge selection of breakfast options and big coffees. Prices super reasonable and food was tasty too :)

Firstly, the staff was incredibly friendly. They’re a huge part of the reason we ate here at least once a day while in Cusco. The menu options are varied and the seating and layout are also comfortable. Great options for takeaway if you want to eat at your accommodation or bring something for the ride to Aguas Calientes.

Dear Deli El Monasterio, Today, for the first time, at your place, I had a lasagna without the actual lasagna pasta in it. You called it vegetarian lasagna, but let me tell you, it is actually just veggies covered by a baked layer of cheese. I searched and searched for the lasagna layer but there was none. Maybe this is a new approach, like perhaps arroz con leche sin el arroz or penne alla arrabiata without the penne, but any sober client would consider this a failed attempt and a rip off eventually, not worth the money. It failed miserably. Like your attempt to sell sour red wine by the glass and pass it for drinkable stuff. I have no idea how you are affiliated with a five star hotel establishment, but let me tell you, you are way off. If you were a cantina at the marketplace, then these anomalies would be understandable, but please, either downgrade your prices as low as the quality you offer or up your game significantly. And about the stuff you serve as 'lasagna', please stop calling it that. It's not lasagna without lasagne pasta, caro. Yours in mourning, Alberto von Lasagne PS: We visited this place three times during our stay in Cusco, the pastries at the place are good and would recommend them, the prices are high, the service is very very friendly. The sandwiches we tried there are decent and craft beer selection is good (ask in advance as not everything on the menu is available). The wines by the glass are fowl, and, in the end, the conclusion was that the pretentiousness of the place overshadows the quality of the stuff they sell.

This merchant attempts to over-charge customers with US based VISA cards. If you attempt to use a USA VISA credit card they will add a 3.5% surcharge to your bill and convert it to USD. The problem with this is you never want to pay in USD. You always want to pay in local currency. This is a way for the payment processor and merchant to make more money but deceiving their customers. It is only disclosed on the receipt in Spanish. I refused to sign and agree with the charge. I attempted to resolve this at the establishment but their response was no one has complained before. I am sorry but that is not my problem. They wouldn't refund and re-charge under the local currency. I have disputed with the credit card company and they have refunded the surcharge on their own without contacting the merchant. As of this writing if you were to pay using MC or AMEX this wouldn't occur at this merchant. However, I would not eat here regardless due to their deceptive business practices.

If money is no object, than this is a great place. It is super centrally located (which in part justifies the prices, but at 10 Peruvian Sol an espresso is not just locally expensive, but downright overpriced) and the high prices makes it so that it is never crowded. Both sweets and coffee based drinks are actually very pleasant, but not as good as to justify the prices they ask for. Your money, your choice (and 10 Peruvian Sol is less than 3 USD so it might not seem so expensive to you, depending on where you come from).

La Valeriana Bake Shop – A Sweet Pause Across from the Stones If you’re wandering down the main avenue of Cusco—right across from the ancient stonework of Qorikancha (yes, that’s the one!)—you might miss it if you blink. But you shouldn’t. La Valeriana Bake Shop is one of those quiet little sanctuaries where time slows down, sugar reigns supreme, and the only ancient ruins you’ll care about are the crumbs left on your plate after devouring one of their desserts. The space feels more like the warm living room of a friend who actually knows how to bake—comfortable corners, quirky tiered seating with floor cushions, greenery scattered in potted corners, and a laid-back vibe that invites you to stay for far longer than you intended. And you should. Let’s talk about the pastries. My God, the pastries. Displayed like jewelry in a Parisian boutique, each one looks too pretty to eat… until you do. Whether it’s the impossibly delicate fruit cheesecake, the decadent chocolate tsunami, or a tart topped with clouds of toasted meringue that makes you want to believe in heaven again—this place delivers. The cakes are show-stopping, the quiches satisfying, and the selection wide enough to tempt both the sugar-hardened cynic and the casual croissant dabbler. But, fair warning—bring your patience. The staff here seem to operate on Peruvian time… and then slow it down just a little more for good measure. Service can be a little absent-minded or aloof, and you might wait longer than you’d like for a coffee refill or a check. But here’s the thing: if you can surrender to the slower pace and let yourself melt into the atmosphere like butter into warm cake, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most memorable pastry moments in the Sacred Valley. Verdict: La Valeriana may not serve you fast—but it will serve you something worth remembering. And that’s a trade-off I’ll take any day.

Delightful coffee shop. Take your seat and they serve at the table. Lots of quirky tables and chairs...ours were a little uncomfortable for short people! Salt pasties (meat) are wonderful, as are the cakes and coffee. Very convenient for the Los Portales hotel.

I was there twice. The first time in the evening and everything was great and the food was very tasty. So I decided to get breakfast there the next morning since the breakfast menu looked great (around 9:30). However when I tried to order from the breakfast menu they told me that there was nothing from it available. After I ordered something else I could hear the staff making fun of me and laughing at me for trying to order from the breakfast menu behind the bar. It honestly made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

The ambience is great. However, I wanted to order breakfast here and they didn't have half of the stuff we wanted to order. For this price i expected better.

I tried the trout poke bowl at Qura and it was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and generously topped with ingredients like potatoes, avocado, and more. The mix of textures and flavors really stood out and made it a memorable dish. The staff were very attentive, even though the restaurant was extremely busy during my visit. They made sure we were well taken care of, which I really appreciated. The only drawback was the atmosphere—because of the crowd, we were seated outside down below, which wasn’t as enjoyable as being inside. Overall, Qura delivers on quality food and great service, even during peak times. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cusco.

We went to this healthy restaurant. The plan was to eat small… but of course we ordered way too much and it turned into a feast 😂 Everything was delicious and packed with veggies. Even the French toast was light on butter, and the caramel wasn’t overly sweet. I ate a ton, but somehow felt zero guilt 🤣

Healthy, clean, and affordable spot! Great selection of drinks and food - although I wish they had a chicken dish. I went with their Peruvian poke (trout) every time. It always hit the spot - and for roughly 35 soles. Plenty vegetarian dishes. The golden chai was great - especially after quitting my job! This place is always buzzing too. A sure sign of a good spot.

Almost every morning in Cusco was starting here for us Because the service is great. Because the staff is friendly and atmosphere is nice. And because a small inside garden is just so cozy with the morning sun. And, of course, because the food is great. The portions are very generous :)

Came by for a quick coffee and croissant. The croissant left a lot to be desired but the coffee was tasty. They have a lot of options for desserts and pastries so if you're looking for that definitely a place to come by and check it out. It's also right in the middle of the square so you get a lot of viewing options.

This was such a cute restaurant and the empanadas were really tasty here! Definitely recommend if you want a more peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Also the upstairs eating area with the mural was lovely, we've already come back here twice!!

Delicious (and cheap) empanadas! I came here for breakfast multiple times because it was one of the few places that opened early. I tried both the queso and vegetarian empanadas, with the latter being my favourite!

We are obsessed with this place. My wife wants to learn how to make torta de lúcuma now and I'm trying to find a way to smuggle some empanadas de ají de gallina out of the country. It can get busy sometimes, but they're fast and attentive.

We came for the coffee, and returned for the incredible ambience and the kind owners! We stopped by every day of our trip. The coffee is the best I've ever had. We tried the Frappuccino, affogato, cappuccino, and yuraq (a shot of espresso with white chocolate and ginger). Everything was delicious - the beans are fresh and the milk they used is truly the best I've ever had. They also have delicious pastries. The owner is a painter and the cafe feels like a home and is covered in beautiful art. A great place for coffee but also a great place to spend some time. Highly recommend!

This is one of the coolest places we went to in Cusco during our week there. The place is filled with beautiful art, much of which is painted by the owners. It is run by a family that is passionate about their work, and the coffee is some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. We tried the Frappuccino, Afogato, yuraq, and cappuccino and they were all amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Very charming café in San Blas, with a large assortment of teas, cakes and cookies, and a breakfast menu available until 10:30. This café is owned by a French couple and has only a few tables, including two small window tables, one of which has an amazing view of the street in front. The decoration is charming and there are displays of local tidbits as well as sale of some local clothes. The breakfast menu (pictured) is tasty, but not large, so don't expect a huge meal.

Small but great. It's definitely got that Instagrammable view from one window. Coffee is nice and there is a small menu that is executed well. I also bought some cute art and a patch while I was there.

We stumbled across this wonderful cafe while exploring Cusco. What a fun spot to have a delicious coffee and lemon tart, that was fresh and homemade. The tiny balcony spot was charming and relaxing.

Just spent 3 weeks in Peru! And this place in my opinion does the best coffee in the country - I drink far too much of it and this was the best I had there. Cakes are also amazing! Our group went more times than we would like to admit!

Coffee was great! One of the best I have tried in town so far. Also tried a small chocolate, cafe flavor, recommended as the most popular option, kinda too sweet for me.

Excellent flavors of coffee and chocolate. Unsweetened hot chocolate is hot milk and cacao paste, nada mas. Surprisingly we were the only ones there on a Saturday early afternoon. A lady from Lima came in to get coffee beans. I bought the 100% cacaco paste for later, far better than anything at the Choco Museo.

When your plane to Cusco is delayed in Lima, and you start talking to people who actually live in Cusco who are trying to get back home to get to work, and when those Cusco residents tell you to ditch fancy coffee places or nicely packaged coffee and go for Cafe Ricchary instead, you'd better listen to the locals. My wife and I did. It is the best coffee we had in all of Cusco. It's not fancy and there are no gimmicks here, which made our experience that much better. Just good coffee, period.

Found this cute coffe shop (2 locations near by) and the coffe was awesome..cappucino..with very artistic crema finish!! My Barista was Ximena...- Not only a bright ray of sunshine with her smile and barista skills.!! she also answered and explained the cultural nuances and traditions of the local quechua people in great English! Oh yeah..the food was excellent! Croissant..Mixto y Pollo. Also Sin Paltas Huevos y Croissant /Caprese!!!

One of the highlights of our trip! These tamales cost 2 soles a piece (less than a dollar US) and come in two varieties: sweet or savory. Both are delicious. We made it a habit during our two week trip to get a tamale each day and eat it on the steps of the plaza while people watching. We really enjoyed them, and locals informed us this little stand has been there for over 100 years and are considered some of Cusco’s best.
