Peruvian restaurant
Restaurant
Morena Peruvian Kitchen is a sophisticated restaurant located in the heart of Cusco, offering stunning views and an exceptional dining experience. The menu features a mix of traditional Peruvian dishes, including the highly recommended Lomo Saltado. This culinary gem not only delights guests with its exquisite flavors but also upholds a commitment to sustainability and authenticity.
Dining at Morena in Cusco was an absolute highlight of my trip! From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel genuinely welcomed with warm smiles and attentive service that never felt rushed or forced. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, informed about the menu, and always had what we needed. Their knowledge of the dishes and recommendations made the experience even more special. The food itself was outstanding—vibrant, fresh, and beautifully presented. Each dish felt like a modern twist on Peruvian tradition, full of bold flavors that showcased the best of local ingredients. The portions were generous without losing refinement, and every bite was layered with taste and texture. Whether it was the ceviche, the perfectly grilled meats, or the creative cocktails, everything exceeded expectations. What impressed me most was the consistency of excellence: top-notch service, amazing atmosphere, and unforgettable food all coming together seamlessly. Morena is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. If you’re in Cusco, this place is an absolute must! PS: thank you for celebrating my birthday with your special touch!!!

High quality meal with generous servings at an affordable price! We liked everything we ordered - the seafood rice was definitely the standout. Ossobuco was also perfectly cooked with the meat falling off the bone and incredibly tender, but would note that this dish is a little heavy and salty. Great ambiance - loved all the lighting fixtures and greenery inside, and service was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cusco. Reservations are a must.
Audra W — Google review
I loved absolutely everything about Morena Peruvian kitchen. I took a chance by walking in without a reservation and got a spot at the bar pretty quickly. The server was so nice and helped me pick out my meal. The drink special of the day was a fruiting pisco drink with passion fruit. The bartender demonstrated how to make the entire drink using super fresh ingredients. The scallop explosion were little delicious mouth fireworks of flavor. The alpaca risotto was cooked perfectly and was super tasty. The risotto was tiny cubed potato’s which surprised me, especially bc I was expecting rice. It was good, but I’m not a potato persons, so I would have preferred rice risotto. It start to pour outside which I could see from the windows overlooking plaza de armas. So, I got the chocolate desert which comes in a cocoa pod. It was very yummy, not overly sweet, and paired great with an espresso. The team allowed me to wait out the rain and let me fully enjoy my delicious meal. One of my main highlights from this trip. The bathroom was super clean and has plenty of tissue paper and great soap
Karin P — Google review
I loved this place so much! From the decor, to the incredible service, to the main highlight the food. The food was fantastic, we got complimentary bread and then ordered the guacamole which was excellent. I got the alpaca with potatoes and a pisco sour and everything was excellent. The staff there are so warm and friendly. I highly recommend
Nye P — Google review
Morena came highly recommended on the forums I looked at prior to booking our vacation. The location is fabulous as it faces the city center. The staff was friendly enough however, when I booked our reservation, I specifically stated we were celebrating our honeymoon. We were originally seated at a table away from the windows and view, but within a few minutes a window table opened up. When my husband asked for us to be moved to a window table our waiter didn’t even ask the hostess, my husband then went downstairs to speak to the hostess that gave him a hard time, but eventually moved us. When we changed tables, we also changed waiters the second waiter was lovely. The octopus was delicious and the beef tartar was good. I got the gnocchi which was OK. My husband got the seafood pasta. Both the Pisco sour and the Pisco punch were very good. We didn’t have dessert. The view was fantastic, but there are also a few other fine dining restaurants that I’m sure have the same view and maybe better service

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Morena Peruvian Kitchen – Cusco (Plaza de Armas) We stopped in for lunch at Morena Peruvian Kitchen, right on the Plaza de Armas, and it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is bright and modern with a perfect view of the square — a great spot to relax and enjoy the energy of Cusco. I had the alpaca steak, which was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and beautifully plated. It’s definitely on the pricier side for Peru, but it’s worth every sol for the quality, presentation, and service. For dessert, we tried the affogato, a creative twist made with mini churros, ice cream, and a shot of espresso you pour over the top. It was the perfect finish to an incredible meal. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast without being rushed. All around, a great place for lunch and a must-try for anyone visiting Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.

Incredible dining experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, sexy and welcoming. The food is beyond words, beautiful and delicious. The service is top notch, working as a team and always on top of things. I just wish I had a bigger stomach to eat more. 100% recommend you eat here! The food is art as well as the entire dining room.
Lisa L — Google review
I stopped by Morena on my last night in Cusco for a solo date and didn’t have a reservation, so I grabbed a seat at the bar for a drink. The waiter made me a special cocktail right in front of me, and after that, they were kind enough to move me to a table , such a thoughtful touch. I ordered an appetizer that was like a Peruvian twist on egg rolls … crispy, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Between the warm decor, kind service, and how everything was presented, it felt like the perfect little send-off dinner. I’m just a foodie who enjoys discovering cozy spots like this and sharing them with my internet friends … come hang out with me on TikTok @foxy.appetite and IG @foxyappetite.

Mercado Central de San Pedro is a lively covered market offering a variety of goods such as produce, meat, clothing, souvenirs, snacks, and fresh juices. Before visiting the market, you can explore the bohemian area of San Blas with its cobbled streets and Inca history. The neighborhood is known for its local artisans creating beautiful crafts sold at the Santurantikuy fair.
I ate such delicious healthy local food here cooked by the Indigenous women everyday during my week-long stay. I don’t understand why many tourists don’t eat here! Lunch with generous portions of a soup and entre for 8 soles or $2.5. Highly recommend and please tip them if you can even if it’s not expected :)
Indraneel D — Google review
It's not just tourists who eat and shops here, the locals do too. They've got local stuff, food, fresh produce, drinks, souvenirs, and even pisco. I love chicken soup, and a bunch of places sell it, but only the one on the corner is packed. It's so good, with a savory broth and juicy chicken. There are also lots of fresh fruit juice stands, and they're all good. They squeeze it fresh, no ice, no sugar, it's so fresh and delicious. You should check out this market before 10 am, otherwise, it'll be super crowded.
SPICY — Google review
Sprawling marketplace offering a large variety of everything from local arts and crafts to juices and smoothies. Great spot for people watching. Make sure to do some good natured negotiating before buying, it's expected and it can be a lot of fun!
Pablo P — Google review
A colorful and authentic local market! The San Pedro Market is a must-visit in Cusco. It’s full of life, colors, and amazing local products. You can find everything here — fresh fruits, local food, handmade crafts, and souvenirs. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, giving you a real taste of Peruvian culture. It’s also a great place to try traditional dishes and interact with friendly local vendors. Walking through the aisles is an experience full of scents, sounds, and smiles. A true gem in the heart of Cusco !
Aymen C — Google review
This is a fresh market with a wide variety of local souvenirs and food at very affordable prices. If you're looking to buy souvenirs to take home, this is the place to stop. Even on your way to the market, you'll find locals selling goods along the roadside at very reasonable prices.
Ran B — Google review
Our tour guide took us here and introduced us to some native fresh fruit and get to try few of them on the spot. Great experience. This is a genuine market place for the locals but also mixes in few tourists groups. It very humbling to see how hard people work here and how lucky we are.
Jesse L — Google review
Visit the local market for shopping. You can find quinoa, spices, small handbags, Sal de los Incas (Peruvian salt), and Peruvian cologne like Florida Water. They also offer mini souvenir sizes of the salt and cologne—perfect for gifts.
E.Sezen T — Google review
What an amazing cultural experience we had just walking around and visiting the meany vendors. From souvenirs, to Peruvian chocolates, and even food there is something for everyone. We felt very safe despite the crowds. The people for the most part were very friendly and willing to strike up deals.

Chicha by Gaston Acurio is a renowned restaurant in Cusco, Peru, associated with the famous Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio. Conveniently situated near the iconic Plaza de Armas, it offers a tempting menu of expertly crafted Peruvian dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Peruvian cuisine.
Fantastic experience at this famous restaurant. Very diverse menu with unique dishes. Cocktails were superb and the food was fantastic, with big portions. Excellent service, our waiter Pablo made sure we had the best of times. Very busy but vibrant ambience. Strongly recommended, a must go. Very reasonably priced too.
Francois E — Google review
From one of the forefathers of Lima gastronomy, only in Cusco! It was pretty solid overall. They really love to try to push wine here, but I suggest you go for a cocktail. Just look at how incredible mine looked! Easily best part of my meal. In fact, I’d recommend going here mainly for the drinks. Not so much for the food. It was just ok and for the price you can get much better bang for your buck elsewhere. I also thought Gaston y Astrid (in Lima) was far better.
Jeremy M — Google review
During our 6 nights in Cusco we tried 6 different restaurants. Chicha is clearly the best of them for the quality of the food, nice ambiance and outstanding service. They are able to make the traditional Peruvian dishes delicious with great seasonings and cooking to perfection. The only thing I suggest they do better is to add their wines in the drinks menu. They have many bottles of wine in their cellar but do not list them. They should.
Kiu S — Google review
We stopped here for lunch as we wanted some chicken soup. The Abuello (grandma’s) chicken soup was delicious! We also had the traditional chichamora (purple) Peruvian non alcohol drink. Yummy!!! In reviewing the menu, it looked so good we decided to come back for dinner. We were not disappointed!!! We shared the empanadas, a trout fish and the tortellini dish. OMG! Some of THE BEST food we have all had in a restaurant (and we come from San Francisco and Columbus, Ohio). This place deserves a 5.0 in our book! We will be back (for a 3rd and, mauve, a 4th time ). 😝

If you’re looking for a place to try la comida cusceña I highly recommend. The service by Milcom was really lovely. He recommended me some beautiful dishes and warned they come quite big. It’s a bit difficult if you by your own and want to try many things. I’ve tried trout ceviche, great. Then chupe sagrado, lovely combination from the area but not completely my personal flavors. But the star for me was ravioli with lamb and pumpkin. Incredible!!
Oliwia L — Google review
I went for my birthday and had a fantastic experience. They basically serve traditional Andean Peruvian food, but elevated to its best possible state. They're not trying to reinvent the wheel, but they are perfecting it. I ordered the panceta, and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the crust was perfectly crisp and crunchy. For dessert, I ordered the churros, and they were fantastic too. To drink I had the chicha morada and it was delicious. For my complementary birthday dessert, they brought out some profiteroles with ice cream. SO good! The place was beautiful and the atmosphere was lively but not loud. The service was impeccable. The staff were all very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Ant J — Google review
Walked in with a crew of twelve, walked out with stories and sauce-streaked plates. Chicha isn’t your dusty backpacker haunt or a quick bite before the Sacred Valley. This is where Peruvian pride dresses up and throws a damn good party. The steak? Swimming in a peppercorn sauce that demanded bread just to mop it up. The rotisserie chicken was the sleeper hit—juicy, fiery with that ají-forward marinade, riding shotgun with a vibrant cucumber salad and fluffy rice. Drinks? Oh yes. Pisco sours that hit with citrus and foam like a warm slap. A Chilcano that kept things crisp. A bottle (or three) of Intipalka Malbec from Ica sealed the deal—proof that Peru’s wine game isn’t just playing in the minor leagues anymore. Yes, it’s upscale. Yes, it’s pricey. But the service is smooth, and the food has real soul. A rare combo. Would return in a heartbeat. 📍 Location: Central Cusco 🍽 Dishes tried: Steak, rotisserie chicken, salads 🍷 Drinks: Pisco sour, chilcano, Ica Malbec 💰 Pricey but worth it

This is the restaurant of Gastón Acurio, the pride of Peruvian cuisine. With its bamboo and wood-focused decor, a white-uniformed service team, and a spacious, airy layout, it’s one of the city’s most stylish venues. Traditional flavors are presented with modern touches and elegant plating. I especially recommend the seafood tacos and tortilla starters.

Pachapapa is a charming restaurant located in Cusco, celebrated for its rustic atmosphere and traditional Andean decor. The courtyard offers a delightful dining experience with parasols and greenery during the day, while evenings are enlivened by candlelight and local musicians. The menu features meat-oriented dishes such as cuy chactado, kankacho, and pizzas topped with local ingredients like smoked trout.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Pachapapa! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What made the evening even more special was our waiter, David. He was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome, offering great recommendations that we loved. His service was exceptional and really enhanced our dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Pachapapa, especially with David as your waiter!

Fun dining experience. Called in advance to reserve the Guinea pig. The meat tasted special but it did need some efforts to have the very first bite. It came with potato, salads and corns as sides. Salad was also good, refreshing and dressing was special. Bread/buns were made home, fresh and a bit sweet. Overall a nice place in Cusco.
Mia — Google review
We went to Pachapapa four times during our six-day stay in Cusco, and every visit was amazing. Each time we ordered different dishes, and we loved every one of them. The service was excellent every time too. Panchita was wonderful, and the rest of the team was just as kind and attentive, even though I don’t remember everyone’s names. The outdoor area has such a unique and cozy vibe, and the other rooms are charming with details like a wood-fired stove. We tried several other restaurants in Cusco, but none had the same authentic feel or flavor. The alpaca meat was delicious, and we also loved the beef ribs, empanadas, ceviche, and quinoa soup. Definitely come here hungry — everything is worth trying!
Caglar K — Google review
This was a recommendation from our concierge at JW Marriott. We are glad that we tried cuy here. You have to wait 1hr after you order cuy because they need time to roast it in the oven. Beto, our waiter was nice and helpful explaining where they source their cuy. They get their guinea pigs from sacred valley. All the appetizers were freshly made. I especially enjoyed the corn dish. The restaurant is nestled in Plaza San Blas which is peaceful without many tourists. The house baked bread they serve before the meal is comforting: they have perfect texture and density. I personally thought having an outdoor oven for the bread added more local touch to the atmosphere.
Charlotte B — Google review
Visited twice during our stay here in Cusco. Each time was pleasant and friendly. The food was great, we had the trout, the seco, the konkachu, and the ossobucco all from their courtyardside stone oven. They great you with some complimentary bread and accompanying salsa. Eat within the courtyard if you can and try their selections of wine or pisco. Gareth, was great, very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu!

This set the bar very high for Peru. After eating Peruvian cuisine in many Latin American countries, my first mainland experience far exceeded them. The food was fantastic, with fresh ingredients and very intentional flavors, including with the house cocktails. The location had a great, natural atmosphere too. But what stood out even more was the service from Gareth. He was amiable, informative about the food, and a joy overall. We look forward to our second visit this trip!

Cutest local authentic Peruvian spot with amazing pisco cocktails, one of the best homely ceviches I’ve ever had in my life, it melts in your mouth and has both fresh and dry corn to add to texture of the dish, with beautiful live harpest serenading us during our meal, with amazing service from Gareth!!

The restaurant is known for its passion for vegan cooking, offering cooking classes to spread knowledge and enable students to implement what they have learned in their daily lives. It's a popular spot among travelers, serving creative and rich dishes that impress diners with the variety of ingredients used.
Wow, what a cool place, and the inside is gorgeous! The menu is super detailed and tells a story. We got six dishes to share, and the flavors were awesome and unique. The presentation was on point. They used the same veggies in different marinades for some dishes, which was pretty cool. The kimchi dish and veggie sushi were our faves. The veggie tacos, roasted mushrooms, ceviche, and sweet potatoes were all really good too. The service was great, and we had a blast! Plus, the music was excellent.

Our favorite restaurant in Cusco — and maybe anywhere! We absolutely loved Green Point Vegan. I had the pizza and my husband had the mushroom tacos, and both dishes were incredible — packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. Every bite felt fresh and thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, and the staff made us feel so welcome. We’ve eaten at many great places during our travels, but this meal truly stands out as one of the best we’ve ever had. A must-visit in Cusco!

These guys.... you can call it the best vegan restaurant of Cusco; but even that doesn't do it justice. It's one of the best restaurants in town, always in a continuous quest of innovation and experimentation to find the highest quality and healthiest ingredients to create the most amazing dishes with. All organic, from regenerative agricultural projects; perfect to nourish body and soul. I have been going here ever since their beginnings and it's just incredible how every time I come back to Cusco, they have improved their menu and dishes, and their whole infrastructure. Truly one of Cusco's best restaurants and one of the very few with an open air atmosphere. We will continue coming back to enjoy the best food and all the innovations!!

This is insane. This is crazy. As I dived into my gigantic grilled oyster mushroom after finishing the ceviche sushi, I thought to myself. “How do they survive? Giving this huge portion?” Looking at the whole plate of oyster mushroom, there underneath them hides two halves of Peruvian purple yellow potato, looking like a big heirloom tomato! I took a first bite into the perfectly grilled potato, my face changed and eyes closed to enjoy the produce. Crazy. The environment, the clever menu that’s filled with warmth and love for the local food, the way they treat food. Mashallah! Now I remember that earlier, the lady next to me ordered the lentil falafel curry and warned me the portion was big so don’t order it unless you’re really hungry. Now that’s coming together. This the 3rd farm-to-table restaurant in Cuzco I’ve visited in two days and I can only say this is beyond expectation. Don’t be like me, ordering two dishes alone. But come back again and again, like I will do for sure.

This is the best little vegan place in Cusco. We love everything about it. The service is outstanding—every server was super attentive, kind, welcoming and polite. The drinks were delicious. The food was tasty especially the pizza! The decor and atmosphere are a stand-out. There are beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. The mural art work is excellent. We love love love it here!!

Where to start! The menu is incredibly well thought out and varied. The food is exceptionally delicious, the chefs clearly have a deep understanding of what flavours complement each other. The front of house staff were so welcoming and knew the menu very well helping us decide what to have. Camilo served us and since this was our first day in Peru it was especially nice to see such a helpful friendly face. And this is all before I even mention the beautifully calming decor! We will be back!

Beautiful ambiance, creative plating, and food full of flavor. I loved how unique everything felt, from the artistic drinks to the main dishes. They even make their own craft beers, whisky, and vodka — definitely worth trying! Special thanks to Camilo for the excellent service and to Kevin, the manager, for his warm and welcome presence and even giving me a tour of the distillery/brewery. Dining here solo was a wonderful and memorable experience. An absolute, "don't leave without trying this place in Cusco."

L'atelier Café Concept is a charming cafe and boutique nestled in the vibrant San Blas neighborhood of Cusco. Founded by a French designer who fell in love with the city, this cozy spot offers a unique experience. On the ground floor, visitors can explore handmade jewelry, vintage clothing, ceramics, artisan textiles, and more. Upstairs, the café awaits with a small balcony overlooking Calle de Atoqsaykuchi.
First time we’ve been to this cafe. It was a great experience. The coffee we had was the best so far in Cusco. We ordered an iced mocha and late, both were very good. The food menu is basic but that suited us fine. We would recommend coming here for coffee.

Very charming café in San Blas, with a large assortment of teas, cakes and cookies, and a breakfast menu available until 10:30. This café is owned by a French couple and has only a few tables, including two small window tables, one of which has an amazing view of the street in front. The decoration is charming and there are displays of local tidbits as well as sale of some local clothes. The breakfast menu (pictured) is tasty, but not large, so don't expect a huge meal.

A small but cozy café with a lovely balcony view. The cakes are delicious, prices are reasonable, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. The café also sells a variety of handmade crafts and souvenirs, which makes it even more special. Highly recommend this charming little spot!

Small but great. It's definitely got that Instagrammable view from one window. Coffee is nice and there is a small menu that is executed well. I also bought some cute art and a patch while I was there.

We stumbled across this wonderful cafe while exploring Cusco. What a fun spot to have a delicious coffee and lemon tart, that was fresh and homemade. The tiny balcony spot was charming and relaxing.

Just spent 3 weeks in Peru! And this place in my opinion does the best coffee in the country - I drink far too much of it and this was the best I had there. Cakes are also amazing! Our group went more times than we would like to admit!

Cicciolina is a delightful establishment located in an old colonial house near Cusco's central plaza. It features a cozy tapas bar and an intimate candle-lit restaurant on the second floor. The warm ambiance, with its wooden beams, earthy walls, and rustic decor, creates a welcoming atmosphere where guests are greeted like long-time friends.
This is a MUST stop in Cusco and worth every dollar. Reservations are a must and don’t get it confused with the cafe shop! Our taxi dropped us off their but it’s a 3 min walk. The presentation of everything was as good as it tasted! I would come back again in a heartbeat!
Bianca A — Google review
I'll start with the positive... the food was very good and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. I'm giving it 3 stars solely because they charged me a "cover" charge per head. That just felt dirty when I got the bill and saw this extra charge. I would have happily paid more for our meals and drinks, rather than see this type of surcharge on my bill. It just felt cheap, dirty, and as if I was being taken advantage of at it came after the meal with the check with no mention of it prior to seating.
Jason O — Google review
I really wanted to like Cicciolina but it fell short for me. Alpaca starter was only 4 slices of Alpaca. Squid ink was okay nothing spectacular. Ossobucco sauce was way too sweet and the walnuts in the dumplings were rancid. Service was excellent, ambience was cozy and the lemongrass ginger drink was good but the sweetness could be toned down a bit.

Food, service, and atmosphere were great here! Worth stopping by while you are in Cusco. My first time trying the guinea pig gyoza. I think it tastes like a rabbit. It was not bad.

This is the best restaurant we had in Peru. We totally te moment the Alpaca meat and the new dessert. The service is simply perfect. The music and the atmosphere fits the quality of the food.

Easily the best meal I’ve had in Cuzco! The scallops and quail egg tapas were incredible and so was the seafood risotto. I’ve thought about it every night since and may have to return!

May be my new favourite restaurante in Cuzco! Food is very good, service was ok. A little dark and noisy, but the place is smallish and it’s clear they put food quality high on their priorities. I highly recommend it!

Restaurant
KUSYKAY Peruvian Craft Food is a traditional Peruvian restaurant in Cusco that prides itself on using locally grown ingredients. The menu features iconic dishes like Chicharron de Cerdo and Trolly Ceviche, as well as a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. For the adventurous eater, they also offer Guinea Pig, but it must be pre-ordered due to the time it takes to prepare.
I visited KUSYKAY Peruvian Craft Food twice while in Cusco — both times were excellent. On my first visit, my friend and I just walked in without a reservation. It was very busy, and we waited about 30 minutes, but manager David was polite and accommodating, and the food (especially the alpaca burger and fish torcha) was delicious. My second visit was with a group of five — we reserved in advance, were seated straight away, and again enjoyed a lovely meal. Tip: If you’re planning to go in the evening, I highly recommend reserving a table earlier in the day or the day before. Also, as a general note for Cusco, many dishes come a bit salty — I’d suggest asking for no salt if you prefer milder seasoning. Highly recommend this restaurant for its great service and authentic Peruvian flavours! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First night in Cusco and the reviews and proximity to our hotel brought us to this restaurant. Our waiter Diego was very attentive and prompt with impeccable service. The food was outstanding and presentation matched the flavors. I had Ceviche a personal favorite and the portions were generous. My wife had the mixed skewers and could only finish half of her plate as it was overflowing. Highly recommend this establishment and our professional server Diego.

We went to Kusykay for my boyfriend's birthday and we were blown away by the high standard of Kusykay. The service by Jana and Rori was impeccable, very attentive, explanatory and professional. The food was outstanding. They use good quality ingredient, the presentation is 5* restaurant level with good quantity of food in the plate. A main and dessert left us very satisfied The general ambiance was on point... Authentically Peruvian without being over the top tacky. On top of everything, the price are very affordable.

The best restaurant I’ve been in Cusco - pure Peruvian, but with the fine dining of Paris, and very affordable. Looking forward to visit here again! Rafa and Diego were the best waiters we’ve had so far in Peru. You won’t regret going there. Great tastes and the most perfect atmosphere. Just go.

The service was outstanding; Jana is attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. The wine selection was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. The ambience was warm and elegant, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, wine, and service all in one place! Love it

Great experience, loved this restaurant for a calm dinner. Not busy or noisy at all. Music was at a good level quite relaxing. The food was delicious, especially the ceviche and the Lomo Saltado (beef dish). Big portions as well. Aysha our waitress was super friendly and incredibly helpful. Would highly recommend for traditional peruvian food but also many other options!

Read the rave reviews and popped into the restaurant without a reservation for dinner on a busy Friday evening. Service by Sebastian & Rafael was impeccable: no waiting for ordering nor for food to come, everything served and cleared in good time and with great humour and pleasantry. The atmosphere was great with tables spaced well for privacy so everyone can enjoy their conversations without needing to be super quiet. The star of the evening was of course the quality of the dishes ordered. Delightfully presented dishes wowed our senses. The ingredients were fresh and full of flavour. It was best dinner we had in Cusco for a very reasonable price!

Great breakfast spot. Good portions and delicious. Went several times because my significant other really liked the food. Good variety that suited both of us. Must try the mocha (add a shot of Kahlúa to spice it up). The Alpaca sandwich was phenomenal!

Great service. Stopped in late morning locking just to grab a coffee and something small. Wife had the oatmeal which was packed with fruits. I had the Ham and cheese sandwich which was enough for two people with basically 1 1/2 sandwiches. Everything tasted great, no complaints.

I went to Jacks twice while in Cusco, both times for breakfast/brunch and both times were spectacular! I had a smoothie and basic egg/toast breakfast the first visit, and Helios rancheros and a latte the second visit. Staff are very friendly and service is prompt, even if you are a group (5) and walk in. The interior is very cute and clean, and there are a lot of shops just up the hill.

Prices are fair for the quality you receive. I would gladly return and recommend the alpaca burger to anyone visiting Cusco.

I had the smoked trout sandwich and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread is light and made in-house. The flavor of the trout was fantastic, and it was perfectly balanced with a layer of house-made garlic spiced cream cheese, a drizzle of balsamic, generous portions of avocado, and some capers. I could eat that regularly! The coffee was quite good as well. The layout is so cute and bright, but the WiFi cut out and did not come back on, so possibly not an ideal location for working.
AM — Google review
Interior of the restaurant is grand and bright. Came here for breakfast and the food was meh. I had the alpaca filet combo which was tough and dry. The fried rings were hard and salty. I did like the cappuccino with chocolate powder on top. I was unable to finish the entire meal and the price for breakfast is much higher than other spots around.

We didn't want to eat at tourist restaurants, and we found this great restaurant. If you are looking for delicious and authentic local cuisine this is the place. Portions are really big. Friends recommend this restaurant, but it was a big disappointment. Food was not good! The hen soup was too tough (couldn’t cut with knife) and undercooked, as was the “pollo dorado”. Same applies to the boiled yuca— not edible. The waitress was kind and helpful. She tried to fix the problems without success. Pass on La Cuzqueñita.
Humberto V — Google review
This is a wonderful local restaurant. It is huge. It is busy and good business. Mostly locals. Some tourists. Ordered the cuy al horno. The size of the meal is large. But the potatos are plain and not much taste. Cuy tastes really good. Not the warm cuy pre-served at other restaurants. It also has live entertainments from time to time. During the time of my meal, there were 4 shows. Service is good. This is an excellent place to enjoy local food. Better than most of them at the main plaza.

Picarones is a traditional Peruvian dessert that consists of fried dough, sometimes mixed with natural sweet potato. Its origins can be traced back to Spain. The dish is typically topped with unprocessed sugar cane syrup known locally as piloncillo or chancaca. Many have raved about the delightful experience of trying Picarones at various local Peruvian dessert shops, praising the soft and sweet texture of the treat.

With its innovative pisco sours, ambient lighting, and eclectic music, this rooftop bar provides a vibrant nightlife scene. Situated in Cusco's heart, it combines exquisite Peruvian cuisine with stunning Andean vistas.
All was amazing! Only downside was that they sat us outside at first and it was terribly cold. Even inside was a bit cold, the servers were all wearing coats inside. The night we went, they were out of the Tomahawk, the reason we made reservations. They were also out of wine, the server was not well educated on the wine they had available. However, what we did order, two different beef dishes, were excellent. Our friend got a pasta dish, the serving size was huge! When we were outside, the view was beautiful, we were able to see out over the city. A very romantic atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant to come here after reading some reviews, but I’m so glad I did. From the start, the staff was very attentive. Even without a reservation, we were seated right away. The view alone makes it worth visiting, and the drinks and food were both excellent. Also the DJ plays very good mixes, not too loud. I’d definitely recommend this spot to any friends traveling to Cusco!

This restaurant is located high up in San Blas neighborhood overlooking most of Cusco. Prepare yourself for a steep climb. If you make it, you’ll be rewarded with beautiful views of the city from San Blas. Little twinkling lights dotted on the nearby hills like constellations. Food was good. Plenty of choices. We came for dinner and they had an in house DJ and the place was popping. But it was a bit too loud for having dinner and conversations.

One of the best view of Cusco city. The old town is right in front of you and you'll also have a panoramic view of all the surrounding mountain. Come on a sunny day with beautiful cumulus or cirrus clouds and you'll be rewarded with some print worthy photos. The"climb" was a bit tough but still only about a 15 mins walk with some breaks in between. Staffs were very friendly and the food is decent. Music was a little loud but we were there early so the place were almost empty. This is definitely a great spot to have lunch and a few drinks while you take in the view.
Frank T — Google review
Food was very average. They have patio with great view to the city and live music at night. Vibe was great but food was disappointing. Chicken soup tasted plain. Trout tasted also mediocre. Eggplants were even not cooked well. Service was like, you got to try your like to get the attention.

It is a great place in Cusco to have a drink with a panoramic view above and on the city’s hills. Its magic in the evening ;) I took a burger with a beer and it was perfect. ☀️ Modern art on the walls which is to some extent medium or to just a matter of taste;)
Kasia — Google review
I haven’t tried every restaurant in Cusco, but Limbus has to have one of the very best views in the city. With the mountains as a backdrop and a carpet of red rooftops below, the setting is simply stunning! While there’s plenty of seating indoors, the terrace is where you’ll find the most breathtaking views. Just a tip—dress in layers and be ready for the weather to change quickly. It can shift from sunny and warm to windy and chilly in a matter of minutes, even within the same meal. The food, however, was every bit as memorable as the view—maybe even better! I ordered the Causa Acevichada and my friend had the Tiradito Asalmonado. Both dishes were technically starters, but they were generous enough to feel like full meals. The cocktails were equally impressive—creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. (Yes, even a Barbie-themed cocktail—check out the photos!) Finally, I have to highlight the service. Our waiter, Julius Cesar (yes, really!), was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like we were the most important guests in the restaurant. All in all, Limbus is an experience not to miss in Cusco—for the view, the food, the drinks, and the outstanding service.
Michel L — Google review
Very disappointing. Staff couldn’t communicate without calling the manager, and our food was delayed twice (over 30 mins each time) even on a quiet Sunday. Instead of apologizing, the manager lectured us about tipping. Poor service, not worth a visit. Reply to his reply below: So this is how you handle customer service — by twisting facts? I clearly said our food was delayed twice (over 30 minutes each time), meaning we waited nearly 70 minutes, not the “7 minutes” you’re making up. And yes, we paid in full for everything we ate — not a dollar less. Please get your story straight. This just proves the problem isn’t only with your service, but with the way you treat feedback too.

First night in Cusco and first bite to eat and we sat at the bar. I didn’t know what to expect but I was wowed and amazed. I ordered the Ice tea Limo made by Piero and it was exquisite the blend of the tea with the berries was perfect. Ronald our waiter was attentive and caring as well as quick. This is a nice space. I went here on a recommendation, and I had high expectations. They were mostly met, but I live in Asia and have had ‘real’ Japanese food for 30 years. This was an interpretation of the food, and I thought some of their flavor combinations missed the mark a little. Still, it is a high-quality place and worth a visit.

The food is good here, not excellent but very good for a tourist restaurant. Our guinea pig was but salty and expensive for half a pig. The scallops were delicious and plenty to go around. Peruvian Food Fatigue: A Love Story" I think I've reached peak Peru – my taste buds are numb, and my enthusiasm for even the most iconic dishes has waned. After days of ceviche, lomo saltado, and papas rellenas, everything starts to blend together. It's like my palate is saying, "Déjà vu, we've been here before... and before... and before." If we were here on day one, I'd be singing a different tune – "This is the best food ever! The flavors, the spices, the textures!" But after a culinary marathon, my senses are crying out for something new. Sorry, Inca grill, I know I'm supposed to be in love with your food, but I think I've reached food coma level 10. Maybe a break from all the ají amarillo and potatoes is in order? Can I just have a plain salad or something?

Tourist trap: expensive and completely disappointing. The service is glacial, the bill is huge and the food is largely inedible. We have started with a salad and soup which were decent, but were extremely disappointed with the pepper steak, which was almost rare (not medium). When returned to the kitchen, they didn't cook it at all and simply slapped some more source onto it. We chose this place as we were hungry, didn't want to walk far and they had gluten free options clearly marked, but really regretted the experience.

Loved Uchu. We came for lunch with our two young kids. The food was delicious and the kids loved seeing the meat cooked on the hot stone. It’s upscale but affordable and not pretentious. Ugh and the ribs were soooo good. Also love that it’s local family owned and not some global corporation.

This was the first restaurant we ate in Cusco. The stuffed shrimp potatoes are a must. The meat combo was alright, we weren’t too wowed by it. The trout soup was very flavorful and fresh. Reservations are a must. They tend to be completely booked during the weekends. However, we were able to get a table outside - a bit chilly but it wasn’t too bad.

We visited this restaurant on our first evening in Cusco (Oct 28), and we have absolutely no regrets about choosing it! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food was just amazing. It was my first time trying alpaca steak. It tasted a bit like lamb, and my partner loved it so much! A special thanks to our friendly server "Omar", who provided such warm and attentive service throughout our meal. Sorry for leaving this review a bit late! If any Koreans happen to read this review, I highly recommend this place! The dishes suit Korean tastes very well, and the local staff are so welcoming toward Korean guests. It’ll be a truly special experience. 🇰🇷💛🇵🇪

We went in without reservation for party of 8. At first they said only have table of 4person x2table. We wait a while and they got us 8 person table and private. Thanks for your great hospitality. For food , without question, Hot stone steak is the best here. Our server Deyvid is so helpful. If I comeback to Cusco, will definitely come to eat here again. The price is reasonable.

Visited twice. Great tenderloin, very tasty. However, the t-bone was too big to cook on the lava stone and got cold as it took that long. Otherwise would’ve given 5*.

The restaurant is very good from the atmosphere to food and everything. We had really great time, we ordered steaks from alpaca and red wine and it was delicious. Big thank to our servise Emanuel, he explained us everything and he was very kind.

Very good steak house right by the hotel where we were staying ! The service was impeccable thanks to Omar and the food was delicious! We particularly liked the guacamole made in front of you ! The meat was very tasty ! Just be careful, the portions are often big !

My husband and I shared the 350g local angus ribeye, served sizzling on a volcanic rock hot plate — such a fun presentation. It came with a side salad and a choice of sides; we went for the sweet potato fries, which were delicious. The steak was well-seasoned and paired nicely with the selection of sauces. Next time, I’d skip the dressing on the salad as it was a bit heavy for my taste. Our server Omar was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Overall, definitely recommend!

Chocolate shop
ChocoMuseo, located near Plaza Regocijo in Cusco, is a unique museum dedicated to cocoa and chocolate. It offers guided tours, tastings, and workshops on chocolate making. The museum features a small exhibit at the back of the shop and an artisan chocolate factory that produces a wide variety of organic chocolates using grains grown in Cusco.
Really cool experience for the whole family. The guy leading the chocolate making class was Luis and he was great. Super entertaining and fun! I loved that we got to learn a lot as a family and the kids were super engaged. We did not eat here (other than chocolate) but I saw others eating and it looked good. I would for sure recommend this as a fun thing to do with the family!
Michael H — Google review
Cool museum experience but the chocolate cake is dry and tasted stale, the alfajores cookies with chocolate were also dry and tasted artificial. Very disappointing considering we’re in the factory where it’s supposed to be made fresh. Overall wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. The cacao tea was pretty tasty and unique, however. We didn’t do the workshop. It seemed interesting but maybe overpriced.
Marko G — Google review
We had a wonderful time with the tour which was so educational and well articulated by Miguel. He was so nice and professional. We love all their products especially the chocolate tea. We ate at the restaurant with fantastic servers and ambiance. We made our own chocolate drinks. The empanadas were average.
Ron R — Google review
The Choco museum was pretty cool, but smaller than we thought. On the first floor, they had a chocolate making workshop and there were a few people who attended the class while we were there. If you go up the stairs, they have an array of chocolate displayed, and they were giving samples out. Samples were delicious. One thing I noticed is they don’t use palm oil like they do in the US. They use cocoa butter, which is so much better and healthier for you. The chocolates here are a little pricier than other places across Cusco, but the service was great. We even like some of the chocolate sculptures they had. They are two locations in Cusco, and we only went to this one. Thumbs up.

Free entry. Smallish place. Basically two floors. Downstairs is the cashier & toilets. Upstairs chocolate, liquor of all kinds. Free samples.

We did the chocolate making workshop and absolutely loved it!! We learned so much about the chocolate making process, were able to try so many different types of chocolate, and got to make our own!! Also filling the molds with chocolate and toppings was a blast, a great souvenir!!

Very rich and good quality hot chocolate! And the chicken empanada is to die for! It was so so good that I miss it! The crepe was loaded with strawberries and bananas, up until the last bite. It was my first time having it like this because usually others scrimp on ingredients with what they put inside the crepe, but here it was different. They also offer chocolate making classes. But I suggest to find deals online and don’t come as walk in because they charge 10x more. Highly recommend this place!

I am very grateful for the chocolate making workshop. Miguel, our teacher, exceeded all our expectations. He taught us how to brew tea from chocolate petals, make hot chocolate with different fillings and of course we created our own chocolate bars. It was very fun and educational. Peruvian restaurant
Nuna Raymi, situated in the historic center of Cusco, embodies a beautiful sustainability ethos with its Quechua-inspired name meaning 'celebration of the soul.' The restaurant is committed to using native and organic seeds from local farmers, emphasizing Peruvian ingredients and flavors. Renowned for its cuy (roasted guinea pig), it offers an upscale dining experience next to the Cathedral of Cuzco.
They work with local producers and are proud of it. Taste definitely comes through in their dishes. Where all restaurants in Cusco advertise with “the real Peruvian cuisine”, this is the place that is allowed to say so. Great food and we had good service from Tony. Came back for the second time on our last night in Cusco and were again surprised by the quality and service!

The complimentary starter corn was good. Chicken broth was delicious. The broth was really tasty but the chicken itself was okay. Boiled egg was cold inside but tasted good. Grilled trout was average. It came with smashed sweet potatoes which was not common, also some pineapple on side making the whole combination good.

This was the best meal I have had in years. You can feel the farm to table atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Ceviche and my friend anticuchos. The fish in my dish was so fresh and the flavors of the sauce accompanied by the textures of the other ingredients make every bite to die for. Do not miss this place, 12/10 experience!!

Wow! Have I not yet reviewed Nuna Raymi??? I've been coming here for over a decade, I know the project and I LOVE how they have developed!! As a sustainable tourism enthusiast (and operator) this is one of the restaurants we wholeheartedly recommend to our travelers, and it never disappoints!! Great service, delicious and beautiful food, locally sourced ingredients that are feesh and represent the Peruvian culture; it's absolutely a must-visit if you're in Cusco. And it's not overly expensive, either.
Guido E — Google review
Well, that was an experience. I scratched my head a few (dozen) times, wondering what hit me. The host's speech about 'projects' and local support was cool and all, but the food... let's just say it was a project in itself to finish it. Grill veggies were the real MVP, but the ceviche? More like 'seviche-disfavor' - fishy, lacking citrus, and marinade was MIA. Desserts were 'meh', but the wine? Oh boy, it tasted like they raided the bottom shelf of a discount liquor store. Service was friendly, but clueless. 5/10, would not recommend.

We had an amazing experience at Nuna Raymi! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and rich, authentic flavors that made every dish memorable. We especially loved the way each plate was beautifully presented, showing the care and pride they take in their food. Our waiter, Tonny, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The service overall was excellent, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere at Nuna Raymi is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal with friends or family. We left feeling satisfied and happy, already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with great food, great service, and a genuine, comfortable vibe in Cusco then this is the place!

Museo del Pisco in Cusco is not your typical museum, but rather a popular bar that has been a favorite among nightlife enthusiasts for nearly a decade. Housed in a restored colonial building with historical significance, this three-level bar offers an extensive selection of Peruvian piscos, including rare bottles from cult producers. The walls are adorned with informative displays about pisco's history and culture, making it an educational experience as well.
We had the tasting for 120 soles and greatly enjoyed getting to experience and hear about each of the cocktails they made. This included 6 cocktails but apparently I only took photos of the first 3. Highly recommend!

The cocktail bar is great, all the cocktails we tried were really good even if they were kind of expensive. The mini burgers were tasty and the service great, we also appreciated a lot the live music! We spent around 35 dollars for mini burgers and 3 cocktails.

Don't miss this experience in Cusco! We had the class with Gerson and I was so.impresed by his knowledge. It's a pretty great value for how detailed and personal the class is. The tasting was great and offered by the bilingual staff. Gerson offered a lot of recommendations and will answer any questions you have. Wish we had this in NY! Def recommend

Fantastic place! Why? Because the concept of a “museum” paired with a bar is just too good! The pisco sour is top notch and if needed you can get it flavoured (which I didn’t try). For 50 SOL you can even get a cocktail making class to do your own pisco sour. This includes also an extensive intro to the history of the drink as well as an explanation of the different types and grapes. Make sure to talk to bar chef Gerson, he’s so knowledgeable anything related to drinks! Highly recommend to check this place out

We did the Pisco Tasting experience with Gerson as our guide. We learned about the different varieties of pisco and how to best use them. Gerson was incredibly informative and kept us engaged throughout the experience. He is really passionate about educating others on the history of Pisco and what makes it so special. We highly recommend requesting him during your next stop in Cuzco.

Despite its prime location, it's not just a tourist trap; the quality of food is top-notch.
Great food. Some of the dishes were missing, but eventually we took 3 local dishes that were very tasty. The dishes are also big and worth your money. Cocktails were also done good and weren’t filled with sugar which is a risk in ordering cocktails. Atmosphere is great and the place has nice design.

We had early dinner on a Thursday night, group of 8. The piscos and the ceviches were great, as well as the trout and the trio. The beef was so-so. The pistacho cheesecake and the Muña teas were great to end the night. Excellent service, we felt very welcomed.

The best culinary experience I had in Peru! Absolutely delicious food, with the restaurant able to accommodate our group's dietary restrictions (only seafood). Our server, Jeanie, provided a service level not seen even in a 5-star hotel restaurant. She even demonstrated the spiciness level of Peruvian chillies by actually bringing all varieties of them on our table. Classy! The food was beautifully presented like a fine dining setup and the taste matches the look. We actually left the restaurant feeling that we know more about Peruvian culture and food.

We didn’t have a reservation but were luckily able to get seats by the kitchen counter. Absolutely amazing food, great service, very friendly staff and well priced. There are tables overlooking the plaza. Highly recommend. We tried the Barrio Ceviche and Garlic and Chilli prawns and are already thinking of going back during our stay in Cusco.
Thomas G — Google review
We had a great experience at Ceviche, located right next to Plaza de Armas in Cusco. The place is bright and modern, with an open kitchen and a fantastic view of the plaza. The seafood dishes were delicious, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. For families, Ceviche is an excellent choice. They gave our child materials to paint with and even offered him a complimentary dessert, which he loved. The kids' menu is healthy and appealing, making it easy for parents to relax and enjoy their meal. One downside was that some dishes were a bit too salty and over-seasoned. Despite this, we really enjoyed our visit and would recommend Ceviche for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Peruvian seafood in a lovely setting.

I came by around 2:30 pm on a Sunday and it was a little crowded but I was able to find a seat outdoors. The outdoor seating is really cute and I enjoyed being able to color while I waited for my food. My server, Daniela, was very nice and helpful. I ordered the choclolimon w/ kiwi ice cream and it was delicious! I’d highly recommend coming by for a sweet treat.

The ice cream tastes homemade. The gluten-free waffle was stale as heck hahaha it was not great. My friend got a nutella/raspberry mix thing which was delicious. The bubble tea was not bubble tea and the tapioca was either old or was that coffee gelatin. I liked the coloring part and the aesthetic is nice.

It is a charm place to stop by to get homemade ice cream. I love the vibe and I cream other desserts and crepes ok but not amazing. Great service every one nice and polite.

I craved churros during my time in Cusco. This place had good reviews so I thought I’ll give it a try. I got salted caramel ice cream, churros and hot chocolate promo. Salted caramel ice cream was good, thats why I’m rating this 3 stars. But the churros, I didn’t like the texture at all. It was doughy inside. The dips couldn’t even make up for it. Meanwhile, hot chocolate is just passable for its taste.
Precious M — Google review
Amazing place with a cute inner courtyard and lovely staff. They do sandwiches, crepes, cake, ice cream, fresh juice, smoothies... the lot. Huge portions, reasonably priced. While you wait they give you a mandala to colour with pencils, which was an unexpected twist. Definitely recommend.
Eugenio C — Google review
I came in because I fancied a crepe. They have lots of options on the menu, especially for ice creams. A lovely girl originally served me and I ordered a Nutella crepe and a soy latte. They gave me a mandala to colour while I waited, which I thought was a great touch. The crepe itself was very good — a great size, filling, and a good Nutella/banana ratio. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t great. I let the staff know I wouldn’t be drinking it, as I personally didn’t think it was up to standard. After that, three different people came over to ask me again what was wrong, and one man in particular was quite patronising in his attitude, which I didn’t appreciate. When the bill came, the latte was still on there even though I hadn’t touched it. I paid it anyway, as I understand I ordered it, but it would’ve been nice to feel a bit more understood rather than uncomfortable. After I mentioned the coffee, the service noticeably changed for the worse — they avoided me even when I asked twice to pay with card. Overall, the crepe was genuinely great, but sadly the experience was let down by how the coffee situation was handled.

Ate here 3 times during my visit to Cusco, fantastic service every time, friendly staff who also speak great English which is a blessing when you're feeling exhausted and your Spanish is escaping you. The meals are healthy and light and reasonably priced compared with similar alternatives I found around Cusco. The açai bowl was fantastic, and the chicken causa. I forget what my other meal was but certainly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is fine, could be a bit more cozy to encourage you to sit around longer but as a place to grab a meal and go it is excellent.

So, we went to this restaurant twice during our stay in Cusco, and both times we had an amazing meal. I highly recommend the avocado fries—they’re melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And honestly, I think the highlight of this place is their burger, where the bun is replaced by a whole avocado, whether you go for the vegetarian or meat option. Both are really tasty and full of freshness. For dessert, we had the carrot cake, and it was absolutely divine. Seriously, if you’re tired of eating rice and potatoes in Cusco, this restaurant will give you the freshness you need.

I found a very relaxing cafe in Cusco. We ordered coffee and cake, both of which were very good. My wife and I had half of a cup of coffee, which was just the right amount. My son was able to spend time coloring and doing puzzle. The interior and background music were also very comfortable. The only thing I regret is that the wifi was a little weak, but not to the level of being a problem. We will come back again.

Catfetin Cat Cafe is a charming cafe and cat sanctuary located conveniently between Plaza de Armas and Corincancha. For a small fee, visitors can spend time with rescued cats available for adoption, helping to socialize them and make them more adoptable. The cafe offers delicious cat-themed foods such as crepes, along with other savory and sweet snacks. The cats are well cared for and available for adoption, while the proceeds from the cat room contribute to their welfare.
We had an awesome time at the cat cafe. The cats are friendly and enjoy gentle pats. The owners are very kind and polite. Other visitors were friendly as well. There are many things to use to play with the cats. Otherwise, you can watch them sleep and cuddle each other. A very enjoyable experience. Cats are for adoption too and you can see those that have adopted them.

I visited the cafe around 6:30pm. The waitress took my order without mentioning that they were closing earlier than usual (their normal closing time is 8:30pm). I ordered a chicken soup, planning to possibly get more food depending on the portion. While waiting, the waitress informed me the kitchen would close soon, so I decided not to order more. The soup took about 25 minutes to arrive, and during that time the staff began cleaning up, which made me feel a bit rushed. The soup itself was delicious but the portion was small for the price (32 sol). A few minutes into eating, the waitress asked me to go to the cashier in the other room to pay since they were closing, which meant I had to interrupt my meal. I ended up eating quickly, both because of the small portion and because I didn’t feel comfortable lingering. The cats are adorable and the staff are genuinely friendly. On a normal day, I’m sure this would be a lovely and relaxing experience. But if the cafe is closing early, please let customers know beforehand-the main reason for me to come to a cat cafe is to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, not to feel rushed through a meal.

Catfetin is fantastic! There's a separate room if you'd just like food and drinks, but please go and spend time in the cattery section. The staff, while we were there, were really kind and welcoming; most importantly, they seemed to really care about the happiness and safety of their cats and kittens. We were never rushed during our time there and boardgames were also available to play. I absolutely fell in love with a little calico whom I hope has been adopted out — serving my next point — all cats on the floor are available for adoption and your patronage helps to keep the cafe open for these cats and kittens. It's a nice, calm environment that serves a great cause. Definitely worth a visit.

Visiting in Lima, Peru with my daughter. After she insisted we visit the Cat Park, I couldn’t believe she found a Cat Cafe! So here we go again! This time was a bit different. This was a café that had a special room with cats that you could go in and be with them. There were a few rules. Don’t bother cats that are eating or sleeping. Don’t chase a cat, let them come to you. As with the Cat Park, you can also adopt one of the cats. In fact there was a large poster on display that listed the cats that had been adopted. But it is a cafe so you expected to purchase something to support the cafe. We already had breakfast so my daughter ordered a sundae and I chose a milkshake. Both were excellent after a long walk in warm sun on the way. My cat loving daughter was in her element, playing with several cats and holding one for a long time. Another must see for cat lovers … and fathers of cat lovers.

Cutes kitties ever ☺️ You can tell the owner and employees put a lot of care into the cafe and the cats. The cats are so sweet and very clearly so comfortable and well cared for. They are rescued from the streets and will hopefully be adopted; you can see the wall of all of the cats that have been adopted here. I came for the cats but the baked goods and drinks were also very good and were presented in such a cute way!

Amazing staff; good food and coffee! The cats are super sweet and well cared for; best thing is they’re adoptable!

Nestled in the charming San Blas neighborhood, Three Monkeys Coffee Cusco is a delightful little café that promises an exceptional coffee experience. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, including the attentive owner who often makes an appearance. The café specializes in single-origin coffee brewed using various methods, with many patrons raving about the fruity and flavorful offerings prepared with care by skilled baristas.
Discovered this place before my trip so I knew I needed to check it out. They have table service which is nice. Variety of coffee is amazing. Everything I had was top notch. Went several times during my visit and was great each time as well as service.
Dustin W — Google review
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst café experiences I had in Cusco. The service was not friendly at all, which really stood out compared to the warm and welcoming vibe everywhere else in the city. The place tries to look like a European-style coffee shop, but the organization (or lack of it) leaves a lot to be desired. I waited 30 minutes without receiving any coffee or food, so I decided to leave. On top of that, the hygiene was concerning: I saw the waitress putting her fingers inside the supposedly clean water glasses, and when the water finally arrived, it had a strange consistency. I ended up going to an organic coffee shop nearby, which was much better in every aspect.
Amy H — Google review
One of my favorite coffee shops in the whole world! Their normal espresso drinks are top notch and delicious but their specialty drinks are incredible. Add on a beautiful atmosphere, great food and service, and fast WiFi, it’s obvious why this place is so popular

The coffee pastries and service were top notch. A little bit expensive, but I guess that’s the deal of the place :) the people working there are SOSOSO NICE and good looking ;) go for it ! Recommend the pistachio croissant the most !share the pastries between two people! They’re HUGE

Ranked #22 on the worlds best coffee shop list, and it didn’t disappoint. Top quality Geisha on offer and a really cool vibe. If you’re in Cusco and want to experience what the Peruvian coffee scene has to offer, this is the place. 🇵🇪

This is one of the best coffee bars worldwide and unfortunately this makes it really busy. If you arrive at the end of the morning there could be a line to enter, starting outside. We had to wait for a few minutes before we could be seated. Afterwards it took quite a long time before we could place an order. The staff was very friendly to us. It was a disappointment that all the pastries were sold out before 11 AM. Our coffee tasted really good, they have quite a lot of options. It certainly tasted very special. It was nice to visit here for once but I would not visit again due to the high volume of people.

Simply the top best coffee I’ve ever had. Lives up to the TOP coffee shops in the world hype. Best coffee simply because of the ambience, service, quality, attention to detail, and overall experience. Thank you team for all the kindness and the best latte in all of Peru! La Nueva Chomba Picanteria is a popular spot known for offering a traditional experience with Chicha de Jora, providing a rich cultural and flavorful adventure. The food is described as tasty but slightly greasy, with generous portions. Dishes like the typical beef with noodles and fried trout are highlighted for their delicious flavors, although some dishes may have excess oil. The seasoning and chili options are praised for their tastiness.
We had an amazing meal here. The food was authentic and tasted like true homemade Peruvian food. A special thanks to Gabriel, who explained every dish and its tradition and was just very welcoming and made us feel at home. He is a true gentleman.

I have been trying to find a restaurant that does not cater to tourists like so many of the places in Cusco do. I loved every second. It was clear that this was a place that locals frequent with their families (4 groups of locals came in while I was eating my dinner). The waiter was awesome and the portion of food that I got was SO much. Even though I came hungry I couldn’t eat it all even though everything was delicious. I had Lengua Atomatada for the first time and loved it. The meat was so tender and seasoned beautifully!! Update: I went again… this time to try their Adobo (pork stew) and it was phenomenal again. The dish was HUGE and spiced to perfection. I was surrounded by locals for lunch on a Sunday and it reaffirmed that this place is legit.
Maya M — Google review
The food was very tasty, but I felt it a bit greasy and they serve a lot. The attention is good. My partner ordered a very good typical beef that came with noodles. I ordered the fried trout, very tasty and with delicious accessories. But I could see a little oil on it. Also very rich. A plate, if you're hungry excellent but if you eat normal it's too much. The seasoning is also very good, the chili that they offer is delicious.

Food is pretty good and portions are massive, so come hungry!
Oscar T — Google review
Restaurant very popular among locals (which is always a good sign). They offer items a la carte as well as set lunch menu, which is a steal, for 12 soles there is a big bowl of soup and choice of main (3 different things). It was tasty and very decent meal, worth every sole we had to pay.
Bartosz B — Google review
This place was recommended to us to try authentic traditional food, along with strawberry cerveza and chicha. The drinks and soup was good. The especial combo with all the different meats wasn’t that impressive. Just a collection of different overcooked meats. Service was friendly and quick, and it seems like a popular place with locals.

More of a locals feel. Good food, big portions and great more local prices. They accept all credit cards. I had the fried ribs. It's was excellent. The sides were only okay.

Tamales Josefina is a popular spot in Cusco known for its small and slim tamales, perfect for a mid-morning snack. The stand has historical significance and is highly recommended for its warm, fluffy, and not overly sweet tamales. Customers can choose between sweet or salty options, both of which are delicious, affordable, and relatively healthy. The shop has been serving these tasty tamales for years at an unbeatable price of 1.
This lady has an outdoor stall. Definitely her tamales were worth the visit. They were delicious.

One of the highlights of our trip! These tamales cost 2 soles a piece (less than a dollar US) and come in two varieties: sweet or savory. Both are delicious. We made it a habit during our two week trip to get a tamale each day and eat it on the steps of the plaza while people watching. We really enjoyed them, and locals informed us this little stand has been there for over 100 years and are considered some of Cusco’s best.

Yaku Restaurant is a vibrant and inviting dining spot that offers a mix of classic Peruvian and Andean flavors, as well as wood-fired pizzas and refreshing salads. One of its specialties is the traditional guinea pig dish, known as cuy in Peru, making it an ideal place for adventurous eaters. Located near the municipality of Cusco, this restaurant attracts visitors seeking an authentic Peruvian culinary experience.
Absolutely incredible dining experience! Yaku is hands down one of the best restaurants in Cusco. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of Peruvian cuisine. Every dish is a masterpiece—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and showcasing the freshest local ingredients. The lamb was the best I’ve had in Peru, and the alpaca dish was cooked to perfection. What really sets Yaku apart is how they combine traditional recipes with creative, modern touches—it’s both authentic and innovative. It felt like more than just a meal; it was a culinary journey through the Andes. If you’re in Cusco, do not miss this gem. Yaku is truly unforgettable!

After checking in the hotel, we found this restaurant by Google Maps, the rating of 4.8 with over 5000+ people was impressive, so we did not think twice about any other choices.👍👍 It was really good indeed, I ordered stir-fry chicken and my friend ordered fresh catch of the day , both were excellent choice and recommendations. 😋😋 We got a glimpse of the end of a local folk music performance. 🎶🎶 The secret of getting 5000+ rating is that the waitress gave us two QR code for review, very smart!!!😊😊

This is a great restaurant. Great vibe. Very relaxed casual. Reminds me of something in LA or Brooklyn in the Summer. Plenty of amazing fresh juice and drinks and desserts to choose from. Modern Peruvian cuisine. Had the Pork and another friend had the Lomo Saltado. All were good with bright fresh ingredients. Love the interior of the restaurant too and its outdoor seating area.

Hidden gem in Cusco - so good we went back twice to try more dishes! Highly recommend the clay oven roasted trout and arroz pork dish - best food I’ve had. Cocktails were also great, including their pisco sour “infusions” my partner loved the chilli one if that’s to your taste. Staff are also super lovely and to top it off wood fired heaters make for a perfect cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Went there for lunch while visiting Cuzco. Great customer service, and the food was delicious. Most of the staff is bilingual(Spanish and English) as well as their menus. The atmosphere was really nice I can only imagine how beautiful it must be at night. Will come back again when I'm back in Peru.

This was the first restaurant I ate at when I arrived at Cuzco. They provide menus in English, if needed. I highly recommend the restaurant because of the super friendly atmosphere and the large portions. Food was delicious and came out quickly. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. The falafel sandwich was a great vegetarian option too.

If you’re looking for a burger or wings with some Peruvian flair, then this is a solid option. The wing appetizer had three varieties to try and we enjoyed all of them. The yellow ones were incredible but I forgot what they were called. We also had La Gaucha Burgers which we really enjoyed. We asked for medium rare but they came out closer to the rare side, but still tasted great. Service was good and so was the balcony seating which offered a great view of the Plaza below. Pricing for food is above average for the region, but nothing too crazy. Overall, I reckon it’s a 4.5 star spot.

Great location, found easily in the city square. The staff were friendly and bathrooms were clean. A beautiful view of the square from the balcony! Best of all, the food was great. Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something American with a Peruvian twist.

There was only one bad point about it. They had live music there and the music was very loud. To be honest the singer was very bad. He missed everything and was a pain to hear. All in all it was a delicous meal.

Mi Manera is a well-managed Swiss restaurant with international cuisine that is popular for its wide selection of typical Peruvian dishes and its international wine list. The restaurant's beautiful interior and good service make it a great place to enjoy your meal.
Review as a solo traveller, but it’s also a beautiful setting for couples. The ambience is warm and inviting. Would def return and recommend. The complementary starter was a delightful introduction to the meal, offering a rich, deep mango flavor subtly enhanced by a hint of the ceviche’s signature tang. The presentation was stunning, reflecting the impeccable work of the staff. The chicken dish was a standout, far exceeding its simple translation of “spicy chicken.” The flavors were elevated and complex, with a creamy sauce base that was simply exquisite. The interplay of ingredients—earthy olives, delicate quail eggs, and tender potatoes—created a comforting yet sophisticated flavor profile. Paired with perfectly cooked rice, every bite was a pleasure until I was too full to continue. The complementary dessert, a ball of chocolate in caramel was amazing, not too sweet and a perfect end to the night. The service was exceptional, with the servers moving with purpose and pride. From the thoughtful touch of offering warm towels to their meticulous attention to detail, it was clear they were fully dedicated to creating an outstanding dining experience. Their behind-the-scenes coordination and genuine care for their guests were refreshing, especially compared to the North American restaurant scene. My first night dining in Cusco, at A Mi Manera, felt like a warm embrace into the heart of Peruvian hospitality. Equally impressive was the kitchen, where watching the chefs was like witnessing a well-choreographed performance. Each task was carried out with care and efficiency, ensuring every dish was freshly prepared and meticulously checked for quality. The wait, if any, was justified by the magical results—food crafted with attention, precision, and pride. A Mi Manera delivered an experience that was as welcoming as it was unforgettable.

The owner of our hotel was right... we tried it anyway, given the reviews... Potato appetizer with trout: In my opinion, the trout wasn't there; it was masked by finely chopped tomatoes, and it was so spicy you couldn't taste it. If you cook fish, why hide it? The second course was the chicken. The inside was good, but the outside was clearly reheated several times, dry and illogical, along with the sauce, which was also cold. The chicken eaten at street stalls deserves better. The guy who served it was a good example, he was extremely kind.

This was our favorite dinner in Peru. The service was wonderful which made the experience even better. We ordered the lomo de alpaca and the ravioles de camote - both were delicious. For dessert, the sueño de maracuya and the misti were incredible. Highly recommend!

What made our visit even more special was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Yarien. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Yarien went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that our experience was nothing short of perfect. Best Food in Peru till now. Excellent quality, great service, modern peru cuisine. A very beautiful presentation of the dishes is not the best part of the meal, the taste can top it. We were coming back to enjoy it for a second time and the restaurant delivered the same very good quality.

This place had really amazing food. Fun atmosphere. The food was modern European style with distinctive Peruvian flavors and influences. They had a really fun cocktail selection. And of course, it's nice when eating at a restaurant like this and paying a quarter of what you pay in the United States. If I could eat here any day I definitely would. Unfortunately the round trip flights to Peru would bankrupt me.

Restaurant
Los Toldos Chicken is a popular spot in Cusco known for its delicious Peruvian-style chicken, or pollo a la brasa. It's a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The restaurant is often crowded, which is a testament to its great food and affordable prices. Visitors rave about the juicy and crispy rotisserie chicken served with chips. The aroma of grilled meats from their wood-fired oven adds to the dining experience.
We got a chicken for the 3 of us (included chips) and drinks. It also came with a little side salad, and all of our food and drinks came out within 5 minutes of ordering it. It was so flavoursome and juicy and we finished it so quick. Highly recommend for a super quick and tasty meal. You can pay with card
Monique F — Google review
If you are craving roasted chicken and fries this is the place! The chicken is roasted using eucalyptus wood and it is incredibly tasty and tender, even the breast was not dry at all. Fries were fantastic too. On the side we also added some cimichurri which went beautifully with the chicken. Service was great and incredibly fast: we got our food in just a few minutes. Highly recommended!
Leonardo G — Google review
The rotisserie chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the regular fries, spicy fries, and vegetable quesadillas, all absolutely delicious. The complimentary salad bar was a great touch, offering a fresh variety to balance the meal. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot for a satisfying, quick and authentic Peruvian meal!

This is a local restaurant where the locals go. You go for great roast chicken. And the service was fantastic. It’s affordable and a 1/2 chicken was definitely big enough to share. It was such a local spot that the ladies toilet didn’t have a toilet seat but honestly who cares. It was clean and excellent.
Sam F — Google review
Not sure why this place is rated so low, ordered the standard 1/4 chicken which was unreal, good fries, very reasonably priced and was super quick!!! Onion rings were also great. Would recommend 5*
Charlie H — Google review
Pros: the chicken was delicious. Huge amount of food. Cons: fries were a bit soggy and not very crispy. Bathroom didn’t have toilet paper, small tables for a group of 4 people.

A Fowl Experience at the Chicken Joint I was really looking forward to some finger-licking good roasted chicken, and boy, did they deliver! Unfortunately, that's where the culinary excellence ended. The rest of the meal was a disaster, especially the steak. I mean, who orders steak at a chicken restaurant? Apparently, I do because of good looking steak pictures on the menu. The steak arrived RAW, with nice grill marks, but that's where the positives end. I'm pretty sure my cat could whip up a better STEAK than this inca. And let's just say, if this cook lived 500 years ago, the Inca king might have had him for lunch on Machu Picchu.

Ordered the chicken Quesadilla that is advertised with tomatoes, onions ect and was given this… tiny amount of chicken and cheese. I tried to tell them but was ignored. I told the waiter and he just said it was normal. I then asked for some money back and was laughed at. SCAM Pedí la quesadilla de pollo que anuncian con tomate, cebolla, etc., y me dieron esto… una cantidad diminuta de pollo y queso. Intenté decirles, pero me ignoraron.

This was the highlight of our culinary experience in Cusco. After travelling from Lima through 6 Peruvian cities to reach Cusco we were keen for some non Peruvian food and came across this near our hotel. The waiter, Jericho, was so lovely. He gave us excellent recommendations and was so warm and friendly. His English was great too, which was helpful. We had our first meal in Cusco here and returned to at the end of our time in Cusco to the same place. Would highly recommend.

The food was very tasty and authentic. Super tasty pizza, bruscetta, and cheese with ham plate is also highly recommended. A menu in English would be great, but if you know the Italian dishes, you'll be fine in this authentic restaurant. Very tasty wines and friendly service. We'll be back soon!

It's always a warm welcoming when walking through the front doors. If you are looking for a warm and inviting atmosphere, it's hard to find better places in Cusco. With an impressive and well thought out wine menu, Rafaelle is always there to help you decide. The wine pairs well with a selection of pizza, lasagna, and custom cheese/meat boards. The food is fresh, and a single pizza is perfect for two. They also accept credit cards or cash.

We popped into cartina vino for a few glasses of wine on our last night in Cusco. The service was excellent - Rafael came over and recommended wine, explaining the concept of the wine bar. Our server was Jhomira and she was excellent!!!! The wine selection was great, and cheese/meats platter was wonderful. Couldn’t recommend this wine bar enough for a lovely date with friends or a partner, it was really lovely.

Amazing food and service (by Luis). The chef was super friendly. He told us his favorite dish was the Saltado Mar & Tierra and the passion fruit trout. The saltado has such different layers of flavors! Best beef we have had in Peru. It’s Andeas and Peruvian fusion. The cream is delicious.

Nestled in the heart of Plaza de Armas, Cappuccino Cusco Cafe provides a prime spot for soaking in the city's charm. With three coveted tables on inside-outside balconies offering stunning views of the cathedral, it's a popular choice among visitors. While slightly pricier than other cafes, patrons are treated to top-notch coffee and food.
Lovely cafe with views over the main square in Cuzco. We needed a relaxing spot to unwind and found this the perfect spot. Good coffee and service. We spent some time looking over the square and had 2 coffees - never felt hurried in any way. The barrister created a great coffee with a bear face on it - our travel companion couldn't help but enjoy the company.

A beautiful little cafe on the main square. We keep coming back and we are never disappointed. The coffee is lovely and they have a great selection of savoury and sweet brunch options. We would particularly recommend the chocolate cake and omelette. We are never rushed here and enjoy a nice game of cards in the sun. The balconies here also are a lovely sunny spot for some people watching.
Sophie R — Google review
Great café overlooking the square. They have pretty good coffee and interesting breakfast croissants.
Filip M — Google review
The coffees and drinks we ordered were good. The croissant was ok and the cheese ham sandwich was awful, extremely dry with cheese on one side and the other hard and dry as a rock. It was impossible to put it on top and cut it with the knife. Asked for butter to attempt to eat the bread, but they did not have any. The fries were ok, but came without ketchup, which we had to ask for and it took a while to get. The employees looked very stressed and overworked, the cashier (owner maybe) gave expression as though she is doing customers a favor. Clearly a place where food is made without any passion. We decided to pack and give the hard bread to a street dog, which also had a hard time trying to chew. Go to this place only for coffee.

Café Dwasi Peruvian Coffee is a local gem in Cusco, named after the Quechuan word for "home" to honor its roots. Established in 2015, it was among the first specialty coffee spots in the city and has since expanded to three locations. While offering a modest food menu, their focus remains on showcasing high-quality Peruvian coffee.
A very cute little cafe with amazing coffee right in downtown Cuzco. The almond milk flat white and standard cappuccino were amazing. The lemon pie and waffle with Nutella, strawberry’s and banana were great as well. The atmosphere is great and the service is very friendly. Definitely worth visiting if you value good coffee!

We stopped in Cafe D’Wasi to have some coffee and an empanada. We will rush for time, but thought we could order at the table quickly rather than place it to go order. The service was incredibly slow. They brought the menu but didn’t come back and we had to wave them down. We ended up walking up to change our order to go and they made the coffees for us and heated up the empanadas. Overall this place is good, but not amazing. They do have good coffee and empanadas and the store is clean, but the service can be improved.

I was a barista for a while back in New Zealand and after having travelled through Chile and Bolivia, it was beyond refreshing to have such a great coffee. Music and atmosphere was wonderful. Taste Of India, Cafe Carvalho offers a diverse menu with authentic Indian dishes and American sandwiches. The owner's Indian heritage ensures the authenticity of the food. The restaurant provides exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. Vegetarian options are available, and the staff is accommodating to dietary preferences such as vegan choices. Customers praise the generous portion sizes and well-seasoned food, although some note that it can be pricier compared to other local eateries.
The food is a great change when you want some spice and flavor while in Peru. We went during peak dinner time so a wait was to be expected but we got some appetizers and drinks and enjoyed people watching. The lamb skewers were amazing. This was a little more expensive than other restaurants but well worth it. The entrees come with rice and naan which was nice.
Orawan S — Google review
We felt like a change from Peruvian food and tried this Indian restaurant in Cusco. The mango lassi was nice, and the dishes have a good amount of spice to them based on your request. Onion pakoda as an entree was tasty, as were the curries. The naan (garlic and normal) could have been a bit softer/less dry, but overall pretty good Service was attentive and quite fast Plenty of seating available, and the restaurant is in a convenient location
Monique F — Google review
Very solid curry, and was kind enough to ask how ‘hot’ I’d like it. The naan bread was the star of the show! The drinks were slightly small and overpriced but the rice and naan were included with the curry (some places charge for all of them each)
Matthew L — Google review
Indians disown this restaurant Any Indian with taste buds would disown this place. The naan was dry and rubbery, the dal tadka tasted like plain boiled lentils with zero spice, and the mutton masala and channa masala were a disgrace — bland, watery, and completely soulless. This food is an insult to Indian cuisine. If you’ve ever eaten real Indian food, you’ll be shocked at how bad this is. Truly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had — avoid at all costs.
Rahuldeb M — Google review
Great location, delicious native Indian flavors, and warm hospitality. Our waiter Kelly was attentive and made the experience even better. A must-visit in Cusco for anyone craving real Indian taste with excellent service
Kiran — Google review
Food when we finally got it was good but we waited over an hour for it. I believe they were confused and kept sending our food to a table close to us. We found a piece of plexiglass in our food and waited till after our bill was paid to show them because we didn’t want any discount, but just wanted them to be more aware. They hardly acknowledged it. No apology or someone coming out to say so sorry, nothing.
Kathy N — Google review
Delicious food! Great service and generous portions. True indian flavor
Callie C — Google review
A solid traditional, Indian restaurant in Cusco. If you were looking for typical Indian food while visiting Cusco, this is the place. Friendly service and tasty food. I particularly liked the chai tea. And the naan bread is fresh, warm, light and flaky. Absolutely delicious. The only thing to keep in mind, is it is a family restaurant. So they have a small boy who runs around singing and playing in the dining room. For me it just added to the experience. But I can imagine for some it could be a bit distracting from their meal.

The cafe is located in the center of the city Custo. I highly recommend it for several reasons: abundant delicious hot breakfasts, a very large selection of sandwiches. Tucked away in the vibrant San Blas neighborhood, UFO Asian Food is a delightful culinary gem that promises an exciting fusion of Asian and Peruvian flavors. With its whimsical space-themed decor, this restaurant offers a playful dining experience that complements its delicious menu. If you're on the hunt for affordable Japanese cuisine, look no further! The teriyaki chicken and ramen bowls are standout dishes, each priced around 12 sol (less than $5 USD), making it an unbeatable deal.
The food was so delicious, that we ate here twice on our holiday! The restaurant is currently undergoing a remodel, so they're currently operating out of a side alley in a single room — but don't let that put you off! The owner and his family were incredibly warm, welcoming and attentive. I'm sure when the remodel is finished it will be an incredible spot!

I came here few times while I stayed in Cusco. Chicken Katsu was very delicious and the owner is very nice. Great food, good service mind. I strongly recommend!
Wanida — Google review
The menu was different to what we expected when we arrived, but nonetheless we ordered a chicken katsu curry and chicken ramen. The curry was nicer than the ramen. The ramen isn’t a typical Japanese ramen or has those kinds of flavours (ie tonkotsu / Shoryu/ miso), and it uses instant ramen noodles.
April S — Google review
I did indeed come back multiple times. This curry is potentially the best I’ve ever had. Julian, the owner, has created his own style after learning ways to cook from all over the world. His own fusion is delicious and perfectly paired with avocado. He is currently renovating his restaurant to bring the full experience, but the food is already top quality. He is extremely generous, which makes the price tag very reasonable! Don’t miss this place when you visit Cusco!
Sam B — Google review
We tried all 3 vegetarian options that they were offering and they tasted really really great! The location is a humble small room but they’re expanding so by the time you’re visiting it may be different. We had the ramen-soup, the stir-fried ramen and the curry, all really flavorful and well-balanced 😋 But what really made the experience special was the owner, Julian (apologies if I misspelled). He is kind, generous, and truly a rare soul. Meeting him was a gift, and we’ll cherish the experience.
Misagh N — Google review
The dishes had a real Japanese flavor. We ordered the pork cutlet curry rice and a vegetarian Ramen, and everything was absolutely delicious! The chef was so kind and even treated us to coffee candies and tea, which perfectly balanced out the savory taste. A perfect way to end our last meal in Cusco!
Yushan T — Google review
Katsu curry being hyped in reviews is nothing to write home about. Extremely thinly sliced piece of breaded chicken in an overly salty curry. Prices have been hiked since the photos online. Failed to inform multiple customers that they were a “cash only operation” until they asked for the cheque. Owner/cook was nice. But needs to do better.

Dear Deli El Monasterio, Today, for the first time, at your place, I had a lasagna without the actual lasagna pasta in it. You called it vegetarian lasagna, but let me tell you, it is actually just veggies covered by a baked layer of cheese. I searched and searched for the lasagna layer but there was none. Maybe this is a new approach, like perhaps arroz con leche sin el arroz or penne alla arrabiata without the penne, but any sober client would consider this a failed attempt and a rip off eventually, not worth the money. It failed miserably. Like your attempt to sell sour red wine by the glass and pass it for drinkable stuff. I have no idea how you are affiliated with a five star hotel establishment, but let me tell you, you are way off. If you were a cantina at the marketplace, then these anomalies would be understandable, but please, either downgrade your prices as low as the quality you offer or up your game significantly. And about the stuff you serve as 'lasagna', please stop calling it that. It's not lasagna without lasagne pasta, caro. Yours in mourning, Alberto von Lasagne PS: We visited this place three times during our stay in Cusco, the pastries at the place are good and would recommend them, the prices are high, the service is very very friendly. The sandwiches we tried there are decent and craft beer selection is good (ask in advance as not everything on the menu is available). The wines by the glass are fowl, and, in the end, the conclusion was that the pretentiousness of the place overshadows the quality of the stuff they sell.

This merchant attempts to over-charge customers with US based VISA cards. If you attempt to use a USA VISA credit card they will add a 3.5% surcharge to your bill and convert it to USD. The problem with this is you never want to pay in USD. You always want to pay in local currency. This is a way for the payment processor and merchant to make more money but deceiving their customers. It is only disclosed on the receipt in Spanish. I refused to sign and agree with the charge. I attempted to resolve this at the establishment but their response was no one has complained before. I am sorry but that is not my problem. They wouldn't refund and re-charge under the local currency. I have disputed with the credit card company and they have refunded the surcharge on their own without contacting the merchant. As of this writing if you were to pay using MC or AMEX this wouldn't occur at this merchant. However, I would not eat here regardless due to their deceptive business practices.

We spotted this place while walking and I’m glad we came back to visit it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating (and helpfully speak very good English). It’s a very relaxing and comfortable spot to be The inside has been decorated beautifully with a pretty mural and a reading nook.

Were visiting Cusco for 5 days, accidentally passed by and tried Aulita once then came back the remaining 3 days. Amazing coffee, brunch (especially Benedict and burrito). Our toddler loved their daily soup with pumpkin as well. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the crew running the restaurant ♥️ Will definitely come back when in Cusco!

Pizza restaurant
Pizzeria La Nonna is an Italian restaurant with stunning views of Cusco. The menu features more than pizza, and the lasagna is served on the balcony by the sweetest woman. The service is excellent and the prices are good. There is also free extra breads with every order. It's a family-run business, and the pizzas, salads and lasagna are amazing. Thank you La Nonnas for a great experience!
One of the best pizza's I've had around the Sacred Valley. Fresh ingredients, delicious tomato sauce and proper mozzarella cheese that melts in your mouth. 100% recommend. I had the vegetarian one.
Sara P — Google review
I was so glad to have found this place near my apartment. The food was so good, the service was lovely, and they had salads on the menu. I was desperate for a full salad and was very happy with what I ordered, the dressing used was perfect and the salad was refreshing and filling. I also got a picante pizza and it was delicious. The crust was the perfect balance of crunchy and doughy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful.

Incredible little family run restaurant! So if you are staying in the area you will not be dissapointed! We returned again on another occassion and met others who were doing the same. Location - easy to find and when you get there press the buzzer to be let in (really like this as its like a secret place) Enviroment - maybe 8ish tables so its small but this makes it a great place to go and makes for a more cosy atmosphere. 3 tables outside on the patio which is surrounded by plants, the rest are inside. Quiet area. Owners - absolutly loverly people who speak some English too! They made us feel so welcome and part of the family. Food - great menu choices from freshly made pizzas (even spotted them rolling out the dough etc), pastas and more. All beautifully presented and super tasty. Genuine home cooking here! They even do takeaway Prices - really competitive and much cheaper than the central area. We tipped well as this is a small family business. Additional notes - if you are lucky you may get to meet some of their cats. We arrived midday on their early open and got to spend some time with 3 of them. Made it for us as we love cats. However dont worry if you dont like these fluff balls as they are kept away on the evenings ... I think we just got lucky! Summary - if you're in the area pay them a visit! Top notch food, great price and family feel.

Cozy little restaurant that has friendly and welcoming staff. The food was tasty and the portion was enough, good value for money. It took a little longer to have our food delivered, but it was worth it.
Will F — Google review
Such a beautiful restaurant. A wife and her husband make the pizzas fresh to order on the back, no frozen stuff here. Absolutely delicious, and such a great atmosphere. It’s a cozy restaurant, very family oriented, and you can tell that all your food is made with love. The owner lady (I sadly forgot her name) was very sweet, and they have a black fluffy cat named Salem that chills out with you inside, and is a very friendly cat. Very cute. Prices were so cheap, and we felt to tip generously because the experience was just so delightful. Do not come here if you’re in a rush. This restaurant is meant for a cozy, no-rush, casual lunch or dinner spot, where conversations lead the dinner. The food is just a great side bonus. Absolutely charming place. If me and my family are ever in Cusco again we will definitely be back. And yes, the pizzas are great!

Best pizza crust I’ve had in a long time. We got a pepperoni and a vegetable pizza. Vegetables were very fresh. Cute atmosphere (although we got take-away). Very friendly staff, but they were a little short-staffed when we were there.

Beluatty Cafe is a local coffee shop in the central part of Cusco that specializes in brewing coffees using various methods, including the use of frozen coffee. The cafe is off the main tourist track and can be accessed by taxi or public transportation. The espresso blends available at Beluatty Cafe are fruity, while the wifi is fast and the decor trendy. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and they have a passion for coffee.
The coffee was top tier. 👍🏼👍🏼 Really really good. The carrot cake was moist and good too. The alfajor could have been better... It seemed like it needed some more salt?? I dunno. It wasn't my favorite. I'll go back for the coffee though and good prices.

My bf and I came here for breakfast and had the eggs with avocado and toast, it was soooo good and fresh! We also had a flat white and it was delicious. The place is super charming and the staff is very friendly:)

Found this cute coffe shop (2 locations near by) and the coffe was awesome..cappucino..with very artistic crema finish!! My Barista was Ximena...- Not only a bright ray of sunshine with her smile and barista skills.!! she also answered and explained the cultural nuances and traditions of the local quechua people in great English! Oh yeah..the food was excellent! Croissant..Mixto y Pollo. Also Sin Paltas Huevos y Croissant /Caprese!!!
Teofil N — Google review
We went there recommended by friends. Good coffee and food. Fair prices too. We liked the music and atmosphere, and the owner's kind manner. The hot chocolate was just ok, but the Sin Paltas dish was good. A nice little spot when you need a Cafe early in the morning. They open at 7. 30 am. Worth trying it out!

Moto Rock Pizza Bar is a great small pizza place with a rock and bike theme that looks cool. They offer nightly specials with pizzas, garlic bread, and a drink. The pizzas are easy on the wallet and delicious. The customer service is excellent.
Great find. Tasty fresh pizza cooked In traditional wood fire oven. Rock music and motorcycle memorabilia but not over powering. Seems to do a lot of takeaway deliveries, but was good to sit in.

Stopped in for some pizza and it was yummy. They didn't have a pasta but did have garlic bread. We took a couple of slices home and they gave us extra garlic bread
Amanda H — Google review
Picked up a pizza in person to go. This was the medium sized Tuna pizza. Tasted great, they gave us garlic bread on the house. Nice staff. We also got 2 coke zeros. 2 people well fed for 51 sol.
Ash W — Google review
Good pizza, garlic bread included and quick turnaround. More authentic than elsewhere in Cusco, with a good crisp. One definite point of feedback would be to put much more tomato on the base to increase flavour and decrease dryness

Great pizza, it’s a bit expensive for Peru but the beers are affordable. Great atmosphere.

Family of four ventured just out of tourist zone. Easy walk from JWMarriott. The vibe is good. Local off road motorcycle enthusiast mixed with gringos. Pizza good- thick crust. 71 soles or $17 for liter lemonade, large pizza, glass of sangria. FRee garlic bread! Tv has motocross trial accidents - good American music.

Restaurant
MAP Café is a sophisticated dining establishment located within the Pre-Columbian art museum in Cusco. The restaurant's elegant glass-enclosed conservatory offers a light-filled setting where guests can savor gourmet Peruvian fusion cuisine served by attentive waitstaff. With its fixed-priced three-course menu, diners can enjoy an intimate candlelit experience after sunset. This unique concept combines traditional Peruvian dishes with contemporary flair, creating an unforgettable culinary journey in a welcoming and carefully designed atmosphere.
We had an incredible lunch at Map Café! The food was delicious (best we’ve tried in Cusco), the service was fantastic (Pool took amazing care of us) and the setting was lovely. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. Every dish was full of flavours and cooked to perfection, the drinks were mixed perfectly and the presentation just topped it all off. Definitely high-end food.
Laetitia B — Google review
Beautiful setting in the museum. The food was amazing, with the courses being the perfect size. Our server John did a great job recommending food and drinks. Would recommend to anyone. Check out the museum before or after you eat for an extra treat!

We had a set menu which was great food and were well prepared and presented. They are not well prepared for people with food allergies. If you are gluten free beware, they do not know the difference between gluten and dairy.

Hidden in the backyard of a private museum, this is a real insider tip. Amazing food, perfect service, great ambiance. Three course menu in the evening reasonably priced for what you get!

This was a Michelin level meal! DELICIOUS and Beautifully presented! Description of the servings explained by John, our server, who let us know the origin & regions of our meal and their connections to the Peru landscape. A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Wine selection was very complementary to the meal. Highly recommend!! Noisy cafe when large tables are seated.

This is a must visit as they got the most tasty ceviche everrr! The staffs are kind and well-trained, capable of explaining and offering recommendations. We ordered two main dishes: one beef cheek and another duck rice, both are great! I personally think it’s a bit heavy though, and the beef cheek would be better if less salty. But overall, very nice ambiance and just that ceviche alone is well worth the visit. In our case, we had a detailed tour around the museum part then we had lunch here. Highly recommended!

Hanan Pacha is a small and local restaurant that specializes in Peruvian cuisine. The menu features a variety of different dishes, all with excellent flavor. The service is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommendable!
Good local Place to eat lunch. Milanese chicken and soup and a beer cost £6 No any issues with stomach after eating. I will recommend. Variety of dishes
Anastasios M — Google review
Such good food at a really reasonable price. I had soup and a big main for 20 soles. Not touristy and has a nice vibe. The staff are really friendly and helpful too !
Freya C — Google review
Chicha was exceptionally good however the alpaca steaks were all horribly over-salted to the point of burning the tongue. I couldn’t finish my meal and even spit it out at some point. At least when my friend told the restaurant, they offered to take it back and “tone down the salt”. However, this negligent cooking is unacceptable in any circumstance whether you’re in a 3 star Michelin restaurant or a street food stall. Genuinely awful food.
Saikhnaa — Google review
During our stay in Cusco, we went twice to this restaurant. They have a menu card where you get a soup and a main entrance. The food was delicious and the portions are good, nice and attentive waitress.
Social B — Google review
After a hike to Vinicunca the altitude sickness hit that bad we couldn’t eat anything and we wanted some chicken soup to feel better. This cafe has diet chicken noodle soup and it was really good!! Also we liked the chicha morada
Madina K — Google review
The meat was unacceptably over-salted! We had a meal for 4 people, all ordering different alpaca meat dishes. The dishes were served at the same time, the drinks came at different times, some before some after and one beer order was forgotten. The meat was inedible for the most part. It was extremely over-salted to the point of not even slightly feeling the alpaca taste. One of us had her tongue burnt from a few first chewings. Another one had to stop eating it, I then tried his and noticed it was even worse than mine. It was like a whole salt container was dropped on the meat, seriously bad for blood pressure even. I did complain about it and they offered to redo the meats. Since it was a salt problem, they just washed them and re-grilled, pretty much taking away all of the possible taste. Overall it was a painful experience and we left very disappointed. Worst part is that we still got charged the full amount and it was not cheap! The place is a very basic local eatery, but the prices reach 40 soles for the alpaca dishes with a small meat portion and barely a few sides. Completely atypical of how Peruvian food is usually served and severely overpriced. They only take cash, no cards.
Renzo L — Google review
The service and food were very good. I had Alpaca with rice and beans..the alpaca was thinly sliced but not dried out. They brought a hot sauce that gave an added zing. My wife had an appetizer of corn and cheese..very good cheese. The chicken soup was okay. Would go back, decent price for good food.
Cheryl R — Google review

Restaurant
Samis Sanguchería Rústica is a burger joint with a pleasant ambiance, amiable staff, and delectable food and beverages. The traditional te piteado had hints of hidro miel, rendering it both sweet and tasty. The Quillabamba style chicken was as anticipated and accompanied by a delightful side salad. The dressings and sauces added to the overall deliciousness.
Came across this restaurant by chance as it was close by my air BnB. So glad I found it. The food was great, reasonably priced and the vibe inside was awesome. Really nice music being played and the staff were super friendly. The owner came and chatted with me for a while. I felt very welcome and recommend it to everyone.
James B — Google review
Clean, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food and drinks were good. The classic te piteado tasted like it was made with hidro miel. It was quite sweet but very tasty. The Quillabamba style chicken was exactly what was expected and came witha nice side salad. The dressings and sauces were very tasty. My only complaint would be the very small portion of fries that came with the double cheese burger. I didn't find it totally satisfying for the price but the taste was excellent. Overall, a pretty decent experience even though I was still a little hungry after burger.

(Translated by Google) I went with high expectations to try their burgers, but my experience was very disappointing. After waiting more than 20 minutes, they informed me that they were out of bread and intended to replace it with one that is not even on their menu. They wasted my time, I had a bad time and, to make matters worse, I left without being able to eat. I definitely will not return nor do I recommend it. (Translated by Google) The burgers and fries were delicious. The meat was obviously fresh, and they used good cheese and bread. I also ordered the Amazonian fries. I was a little hesitant because I've never had jerky, but it was delicious, and the salsa was even better. The service was super good; everyone was very attentive.
