Ahmedabad Railway Station is one of the most important and busiest stations in India-but it deserves better surroundings.
The station plays a vital role in connecting Gujarat to the rest of the country, but the area around it is quite dirty and unorganized. For a city like Ahmedabad, known for its culture and progress, this doesn't leave a good impression on travelers.
Cleanliness and better maintenance are urgently needed, especially in the areas just outside the station. With a little effort, this station can reflect the true spirit of Gujarat-vibrant, clean, and welcoming!
Kalupur Railway Station is the main and one of the biggest railway stations in Gujarat. Almost every major train stops here — whether you're going to Mumbai, Delhi, Rajasthan, or South India, you’ll find options from this station.
It’s located near the Kalupur market, so the area around is always active. Gita Mandir bus stand is also nearby, which makes it easy if you need to switch between train and bus.
All basic facilities are available at the station — food stalls, toilets, drinking water, waiting rooms, and transport options outside. Right now, the station is being renovated and modernized, so some construction work is going on, but overall the management is handling it well.
Even though it's busy and sometimes a bit chaotic, it’s a strong travel hub — and with the new changes coming in, it’ll be even better.
