We ate here about 15 years ago. Our first visits was so special so when we were traveling back through the area we decided to get reservations again. Both trips I had the same dish, Shrimp Greens and Grits. Both times it was very good. We order our food and I specifically remember telling our server the food was for Togo, so you would think it would come in a box or at the very least be served with one. Nope, of course not! After the food is served we wait an additional 2 minutes for boxes and an extra 5 for the cup, out of all things a cup. That’s not even the worst bit because the service was subpar. It seemed to me like the night crew were more focused on closing tasks, rather than making sure their customers were adequately cared for. Also why is it that on the app you can get a kids drink for just an extra 99¢ but ordering a kids meal in the restaurant we got charged for an adult drink. We’ve ordered kids meals before and it’s never been a problem. To cut some slack we were dressed in Buc-ee’s pajama pants, so they might’ve thought we were just some riffraff. We didn't have reservations and the wait was quoted only 20 minutes, but we opted immediate seating at the bar. Our Bartender/Waiter was Joe, and he was top notch, friendly, informative and efficient, recommending cocktails, (we chose a Bahama Mama, way too tasty!) and explaining menu items. We had a cup of she crab soup to start, and it was smooth, creamy & decadent, with nice chunks of crab. Also brought to us was a fresh, hot batch of their hush puppies. We agree that they aren't the traditional hush puppies normally made with corn meal, but more of a doughnut batter. Still, with a nice crunchy exterior & fluffy interior, these bites are so addictive, and absolutely not greasy. For entrees we decided on the Parmesan Crusted Grouper with Crab and the Crab Stuffed Flounder. Both were absolutely delicious, the portions were exactly enough to leave clean plates. We both agree that this restaurant was an absolute gem of a find, and whenever we return to the area, Pearl's Saltwater Grille will be top on our list!

The property is beautiful and is in a great location easy to walk to. The service was five star, they were attentive and answered all our questions. She also mentioned that we would need to make a reservation - the only complicating factor was that we were travelling with our Great Dane. We got the classic, the lone star , & (2) bottle waters (boiled water advisory) and our total was $39. They only have two ways you can order a burger as stated on the menu, “pink” or “burnt”. Okay when taking our order the server asked if we were okay with pink center . Yes, no one wants a dry burger … however, I don’t think it’s okay for burgers to be served almost mid rare . We asked for our check and just decided to leave after not being satisfied but the server insisted we get new burgers to our liking. We thought this was so nice as she didn’t want us to leave dissapointed when we were just going to pay and go but at $40 we opted to get them re made for to -go . The burgers were just as raw as before , the 1/3 lb burger is thick so it is unappetizing and questionable on safety temp . Even the texture is more like raw than juicy burger. Seems like they do use high quality ingredients which is a plus but overall just felt like a waste of money and ingredients considering the Togo was the same. I’m very surprised that this is rated so highly for burgers & fries bc that was unfortunately not our experience nor is this the best burger/fry I ever had.

I have made carbonara before, and this was more like shrimp, lobster, and bacon in creamy white sauce, similar to Alfredo sauce. I don't recommend this dish. I will probably come back for the Greek salad and try something different. The service is excellent, and it is encouraging for me to want to go back and try another dish.

The previous reviews had me really excited to try it out as I travel to Savannah once a month for business. The menu has very good variety. The atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately the food wasn’t as good as I was hoping for. The crab cake sandwich had decent flavor but the texture of the patty itself was soggy and mushy. The bun was good but everything just kinda blended together because of the texture of the patty. The Mac n Cheese was good not great. Nothing special as far as flavor goes. A little pricier than it should be but the portions are a good size. Maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen. I’m willing to give it another shot down the road.
