Didn't like that the entrance was on a sketchy alley. There was no exit/entrance on the river and you had to walk along this alley with huge garbage bins to get to the river or climb a 24 stair case to get to the street level. Every morning at 5:00am the garbage truck came by and it was loud. Paper thin walls, we heard every footstep and conversation of the people above and next door. The staff were nice, but the cleaning of the room and entryway was little to non existent. The towels were replaced and the bed was made, but the bathroom floor had hair and was not cleaned through our stay. Someone said the parking is free, it's not, it's put into the fees and taxes and cost $40 a day. If you like old charm, by all means. However, next time I would prefer a location where I felt safer entering and exiting the hotel.

If you prefer modern accommodations, this may not be the right fit. The property doesn’t offer amenities such as a gym, breakfast, or an on-site restaurant, and the rooms are more apartment-style than traditional hotel rooms. During my stay, the water pressure was very poor, and some of the towels appeared to have hair on them, which was disappointing. Hotel room itself was nice but, they have ZERO on site parking forcing you to use their valet service which is $54 a day. Yes, $54 dollars a day (not a typo) and you would probably think for that price you’d get some amazing valet service right? Let’s just say the valets at the Bohemian are consistent with the service you can expect in this area, severely lacking. Even calling ahead for my car it took me almost 54 minutes to get it delivered. It was not busy and I was told there were three people ahead of me. I was an hour late for a meeting (not everyone visits this dump by choice or on vacation) since it appeared they only had one valet at 7am fetching cars. It was obvious they are parking them far away based on how long it took, or he just took his time getting to the cars. There are a laundry list of taxes and fees racked up for each night as well as a $30 “destination fee” per night. No clue what that is for since this area is more of a homeless, urine infested pit than a “destination” but I guess up charging for sides in the understaffed restaurants (without being told) and having to wait an hour for a valet to bring your car comes with a cost. Unless you like burning money or you’re not paying, you may want to stay somewhere else. Three nights here in a standard room was a little over $1,200 and definitely not worth it.

Most of the staff are wonderful and very professional. However, my experience with the manager, Sheila, was absolutely terrible. My initial experience with her was the day before check-in when she called me to say my reservation needed to be canceled due to an overbooking error on their part. I told her that was completely unacceptable and she would need to figure it out without canceling MY reservation. She did and I checked in the next day. We are platinum rewards members with Marriott/Bonvoy so we stay in Marriott often. While the location is great, as it’s in the heart of the River Street district and close to many great places to eat, the hotel overall just is in need of updating and is just not the top notch for the price or the points that you use. This hotel lacked a lot! After staying at the grand Bohemian in Asheville, which is truly Grand, luxurious, and have the absolute best staff working in it. We arrived in Savannah and thought we would be receiving the same such service in room. While we stayed in a room on the seventh floor that had a balcony that overlooks the river that was about the only luster this room had. It was a basic room. We couldn’t even get a king room- The staff spouting that they were completely booked, we didn’t see very many people while we were there and keep in mind this is the middle of the week. The room was about as basic as staying in a Courtyard level hotel. It lacked any type of luxury for a 4 to 5 star top level room. The door knob to our balcony was broken and the public restroom on the rooftop bar and downstairs in there dining room area was in disrepair. Rooms are dark and furnishings need an overhaul. We would not recommend it and we will not be staying there again. Was a large disappointment seeing as how their sister property was above board and a fabulous stay.

I was in Savannah for work and was so excited to book this hotel. The hotel itself was nice - pretty decor and architecture, great location, loved being greeted with a glass of champagne. The guy who helped with our baggage was super nice too. But then it went downhill. Our first negative experience was with the rooftop restaurant. We went mid-afternoon one day while I was on a break to grab a snack. The service was non-existent. They were absolutely busy, and we went to the bar, like many others, to get a menu. But nobody ever came over and then I had to leave for my work event. They make such a big deal out of having a rooftop restaurant but don't staff it properly. That's a lot of money lost on their end. But the biggest issue I had with this hotel was what happened after I left. I unfortunately forgot a pile of clothes in the closet. While this may sound hard to do, it was one of our first times flying and traveling with a baby and it was just chaotic. I'd set stuff in the closet to separate for our bags. Items I left included very nice work clothes (dress pants, flats, shirts) and some other items, including onesies for my daughter. We took our first flight and had to connect, and when we were waiting for the plane to get ready to take off, I realized I left stuff behind. I immediately called the front desk and told them exactly what room I'd been and what I left behind, and where the clothing could be found. The person claimed they'd search and would follow up. Unfortunately, I was traveling internationally from Savannah, so it was several hours before I landed and could follow up. When I called back, I was told nothing had been found. That seemed impossible, but they assured me they'd check with housekeeping, whoever cleaned my room, etc. Then it was crickets. I followed up multiple times after via email and phone and either got no response or a response saying nothing was found. Eventually, I said I would like some type of reimbursement as it was virtually impossible that my clothing just went "missing." Either someone threw it out, or someone stole it. Either way, it is incredibly disappointing as the I lost several nice work items and onesies I'd hoped to keep for our future. To summarize, the customer service, aside from when we checked in, was awful. I purposely changed my hotel loyalty from Hilton to Marriott and this leaves such a horrible taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this hotel and would advise staying elsewhere, especially if you want honesty and responses from the people who work there.

Nothing is included parking and internet were $60 a day and the restaurant is overpriced for gross food. The river walk was not accessible and coming with a stroller in tow, that was the main reason we booked here. This was also the furthest hotel away from everything so not having access to the path was inconvenient. The rooms smelled like feet and throw up and the showers did not have hot water. I ended up paying over $800 for a 2 night stay for a 1 star hotel. Would not recommend for the price. Go further down river walk to get a better hotel for the area and to be closer to the action.

With a gate that’s good for security I guess. Last night to leave I had to pay parking at the gate. I was told after my return that was because only one of my rooms were keyed to access parking. That would have been good to know in advance. No offer to refund or credit the fee to leave last night. It wasn’t like I could back up and go to the lobby and ask with other drivers attempting to leave behind me. In addition to the parking there is ZERO concierge service. No water no coffee, nothing. One of the benefits of being a loyal lifetime member is acknowledging my loyalty and the concierge level service. I had my grandkids and thought we would be able to get coffee and cereal at the concierge. I asked about it at check in and was told the hours. No mention it was closed and no reason given as to why. Food and drinks at the restaurant Moss+Oak were overpriced for the quality, The cook threw some linguine in a bowl added a boat load of teriyaki sauce and some dry grilled chicken on top and called it stirred fried noodles😂. We picked at the horrible food without complaint because we were enjoying the view of the river, the great atmosphere and good company. We went to Savannah for a good and we did. I decided on the Hyatt and it was a great choice. It is an older hotel but the rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the river, the lobby is very nice and clean. From the valet to our server for breakfast everyone was great and friendly. A special shout out to Alethia the bar tender. Her constant smiling face, positive attitude and great service was the best. She has worked at the Hyatt for 19 years and still loves what she does and it shows. Every employee we dealt with offered fabulous service and was very kind. Valet is expensive but all the hotels valet are the same price. Only negative was a small charge at checkout for something we did not purchase. I did call and it was taken care of. We paid for an upgrade and had a river view suite. At check in, the front desk staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating, even getting us into our room about two hours before the standard check in time. However, once in the room, we started to notice concerning cleanliness issues. We found a used toothpick with men’s hair on it in the bathroom, a cough drop wrapper in the bed, and open mouthwash bottles left behind. After finding the cough drop wrapper, I called and housekeeping came to replace the sheets. Later, when we discovered the toothpick, we went to the front desk again. They were apologetic, made note of it, and offered a $36 food voucher for the inconvenience, which we appreciated but at the end of the day, nothing would quite take away the fact that our room was overlooked by the cleaning crew. While we understand that things can occasionally be missed during cleaning, this was a significant oversight for a higher end hotel. She made all the requests seem effortless and had a huge smile on her face. I'm not someone who likes to "inconvenience others with my requests" but I did want to see if they could be done. Location is amazing with FREE ferry boat running to two locations across the river (Waving Girl and City Hall). You will go to the City Hall stop 90% of the time of you want to see Savannah. If you are in town for a conference at the conference center, this is a fantastic spot. The conference center is more or less attached to the hotel and this will be the best spot for you (you'll be very happy when all those people are loading up in line at the ferry and you are walking back to your room). The room itself could have offered one or two more details for aesthetics, in my personal opinion but the room was pleasant enough...clean bathroom as well. The two main issues that I had however was the Wi-Fi would NOT connect to where my phone could allow me to cast my Hulu or Netflix app which has NEVER been an issue before. There was a constant issue saying that their Wi-Fi "did not have internet" though it was connected to my phone, and it offered another Wi-Fi access which my phone connected to with no problem as well, but their TV was NOT connected to that particular Wi-Fi service, and I kept getting messages that there was no service. I asked for assistance from the front desk a couple times and they didn't know what to do and the options they gave me weren't working; essentially this was a first world problem so it didn't break my stay but it did not help enhance it so that I could be comfortable to watch what I chose versus what was on a few of their movie channels. So that could have been better, however regarding service everything was wonderful. At the front desk however there were two young ladies that assisted me for most of my stay as they were there during the evening, they're both White, young women, dressed very professionally and sounded pleasant but I will say the one young lady with the red/ginger hair, with a short cut, was INCREDIBLY professional with her demeanor, tone, how she spoke with me and in her Candor which I appreciate it very much, the other young woman I think was a little too comfortable in her approach in how she spoke with me. She was NOT rude however I do think it's a learning opportunity....there is a difference when you're in a bit of a high-end hotel and you start off as if you know the person too well...that's not comfortable for me. This hotel is in an adorable location and has GREAT access to a lot of things. I wish the weather was better and my time was longer so that I could experience them, but in general this particular Hotel I WOULD come back to.. however it seemed like only one of four of the elevators were working😬

The people there were nice and polite. However, when we asked for two pairs of slippers, we only got one pair. The shower place was terrible, it got black marks on the floor. These included a complementary reception with cocktails and snacks each afternoon we were there, and breakfast vouchers at the hotel's restaurant. While this was a great location with kind and friendly staff it had some negatives. Our refrigerator in room was broke, the room had very dim lighting especially the bathroom. The makeup mirror attached to wall was also very dim so putting on makeup was a challenge. Housekeeping was good but twice my husband had to use the washcloth after me because there was only one replacement. We always lay used towels/cloths in the floor so they’ll know to replenish. The pool is tiny and that area needs some repairs. Tiles were chipped and a statue of a lady on the bench was so dirty. A hose and brush could remedy that easily. The worst, and this is definitely opinion based, was the art throughout the hotel. It was like a horror movie. The paintings weren’t relaxing or beautiful. I will definitely visit Savannah again but stay elsewhere. Front desk staff were great as well as valet. With taxes and hotel fees it was a little over $400/night

The room was spacious and beautiful, I could honestly stay in there all day but there is so much to see in the rest of the mansion! I love the evening champagne service and cookies in the lobby- such a nice touch. The food and drinks at the restaurant and bar are both delicious. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to other hotels within the Kessler Collection and will drop you off at the river walk which is super convenient. The driver was also most friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that room service was difficult to reach by phone and slow to arrive. Valet was not present upon arrival and I had to unload my own luggage. The additional fees and room charges are rather high. There was also a visible amount of dust on the furniture in the bar area. We did NOT expect there to not be a fridge in the room. Even Holiday Inn Express has a fridge in the room, and they're cheaper! We booked a room with a balcony. We got a room with a balconette that only one person can stand on at a time and no room to put a chair or anything. Also, the door out to it is dangerously short. There should be a warning for anyone over 5 feet tall to watch their heads. The toilet is super small and low to the ground. Almost like a toddler toilet and my grandson's daycare. Hard to get down to and back up from as a grown person. Sink area is super small too. Really no place to put any toiletry items. And our sink was stopped up and didn't drain our whole visit. Reported to front desk after check in and was told there was no maintenance on site to check on it. Was never checked on after that. We mostly used the sink across the hall in the general restroom. The side table by the chair in the room has a short leg on it and every time something was set on it, a drink or whatever, it wobbled and caused the items to fall off. For the tech folks, there are no USB plugs available so bring your charging blocks. The front desk and valet staff were very nice and helpful (except for the maintenance issue).

For the price you can get much better a other hotels near by. No microwave, no fridge. Daily room cleaning was not a cleaning at all. Floor was not clean and had spill spots on it. Not because it is old it had not been cleaned. Not very friendly desk or concierge. Most did not even look at you. The only thing this hotel has is location and rooftop bar/grill type food. Which by the way takes away the space you would have for a pool, so there is that. The day we checked out while doing a check for items around the bed I noticed the box spring had blood stains on it. If I had seen earlier I would have demanded a refund and cancelled because of unsanitary conditions. Stayed at a cheap Holiday Inn on the way and I would book there any day over this "4 star" hotel. Wish I would have read the individual reviews before booking.

When we called to book the rooms for this celebration stay, they were going to try to place us all facing the pool. We know that this is not guaranteed but to have 2-3 of them facing that side and the 4th not but also in an accessible room without notification. The reason for the 2 stars in "service" was nothing to do with anything out of the control of the employees, ie: no hot water for 2 days. First time to Savannah and chose Koehle House (per Grok’s recommendation) because of the location and reported charm. The location is great and had I stayed longer in a different room would have enjoyed my stay more. We decided on the Kehoe house on our recent trip to Savannah based on stellar reviews. We also have stayed at the Hamilton Turner in years past (enjoyed very much at that time). The room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The room also came with free parking a street over which was convenient. The inside of the house if quite peaceful. We stayed on the 3rd level and had no issues with noise. The reason for not giving the stay 5 stars was the food. I know a lot of other reviewers raved about the food, however my husband and I felt it was quite average for a bed and breakfast. Hors d'oeuvres were fine. The cheese plate left much to be desired as it was just standard cheeses cut in cubes and crackers which you may see at the grocery store. Evening dessert and cookies were tasty and after dinner drinks are offered. We did not find the breakfast to be anything special. Standard granola and vanilla flavored yogurt (plain yogurt with local honey would have been a nicer touch). The juices were not fresh squeezed. The coffee was self serve. The breakfast entree was adequate but nothing stellar. The positive side of the breakfast though is it seemed the chef is very accommodating and you can preselect what you want to eat (therefore guaranteeing there will at least be something for everyone to eat). You would not go wrong by staying at the Kehoe House, but on our next visit we would like to explore other Inns.

The location is excellent, we walked a lot. The room was great. Very clean and comfortable with modern touches, but keeping a historic feel overall. We were in a front facing room and we were warned this was a tour spot. I am pretty sure we are in some photos. That being said the view to the square was great. We walked to some good restaurants and stores, walked to the Sorrel-Weed tour, toured the squares, everything seemed very accessible. The breakfasts were great. Nothing too over the top, just a fresh quality start every morning. The snacks and Hors d'oeuvre were actually enough to cap off a busy day if you had a big lunch, even with the walking. I am probably biased to Savannah since I grew up here as a kid, but the area felt reasonably safe enough, with our walking even in the evening. The holiday weekend was busy but not too over crowded, even on River Street. We had no problems getting tables at reasonable times. We only did a reservation at the Pirate's House. Loved the historic atmosphere, even the haunted stories. The staff were great all around. Definitely on the list to revisit. The only issue we had on last day was the couple that brought their dog to breakfast. The dining room is intimate, so for people with allergies that was not very considerate.

We had multiple people admit to us they damaged the car, then one of the young valet guys just lied directly to us and tried to cover up what his Co workers already told us. Beware when calling the hotels number. You'll be transferred to "reservations" who will lie about everything. We were booked with a "riverfront view" room. We didnt know the hotel doesng have riverfront views. We were told about the "complimentary" breakfast which is actually $18 a person. We were told there was a $40 charge for the valet service, which actually turned out to be $48 per night, regardless of whether you move your car of not. Their own website says each guest will get a "breakfast included" with each nights stay. We drove 5 hours and arrived a bit early. There's a $25 charge if you check in early, so we drove around for an hour and a half because they wont let u check in until 4pm. The 2 ladies we met at the front desk were nice and helpful, but no one answers the front desk phone if you call from your room. We tried 4 times to ask about ordering room service and ask about a local attraction. No luck. Rooms were decent and appeared reasonably clean although the lighting is so dark its hard to tell. The room was small and to use the “desk”, you had to move the TV. The glass desktop was broken glass and had sharp edges. Thankfully I brought my own extension cord so I could plug in my laptop. There was a hairdryer provided, but it was broken. It took 3 visits and 8 hours to get it swapped out. Ironing boards and irons were available upon request. Those only took a couple of hours to get. Signs are fading to the point of not being able to read them, carpets in the elevators look dirty, the wood floors are worn, and the wood frames around the windows on the outside are rotting. Definitely needs a renovation. Dinner at Pacci was tasty. We had a hotel credit to use which is why we ate there but $35 for shrimp scampi when it only comes with 5 shrimp seems steep. Then there was breakfast. What could have been the nail in the coffin was actually the redeeming grace because of Adina, the wonderful lady working the front desk. After waiting to be sat at breakfast for a few minutes with no acknowledgement from the team, we were told that they were shutting down the kitchen and no one else would be served. If she isn't a manager, which I suspect she is based on her professionalism, she should be promoted immediately. It is a beautiful property! We had a regular king room and it was clean, well designed and comfortable. We loved the shower and the bed and pillows were great. Service from the front desk and housekeeping was excellent. The location is smack in the middle of Savannah city so you can easily walk anywhere in 10 minutes or less. The rooftop pool was also really cute and the chairs were lovely. It is a much quieter and laid back vibe then the JW Marriott. One thing I would say could use a bit of improvement and account for it not being a 5 star trip is that it is two buildings across from each other and we were in the building without the front desk staff. This meant all the valets/doormen as well as the staff were in the other building. Coming in and out did not feel like a welcoming experience. They should really have a staff member seated in the lobby of both buildings and one of the 3 valets on that side.

I booked a corner, river facing room, for my wife and I. The room is impeccably appointed from the furnishing, down to the little touches like bath robes in the restroom for guest use. Not to be overlooked in all the great qualities of this hotel is the house car and driver made available to guests for short trips near the hotel. We took several trips in the car (a model Y Tesla) and each driver was better than the last. Charlie, Austin and especially Alan, were so courteous, prompt and professional. They didn’t just drive us to and from dinner and attractions, they recommended things to do and places to eat while getting us safely to and from our destinations. This East Bay Inn has a great location, walking distance to the olde pink house restaurant, and the Riverwalk which is literally crossing the street and go down stairs to take you to other restaurants n just suitable to anyone who's willing to take a chance and be alongside the river. The service was exceptional. She explained everything to us and what was available to us for just staying at the Inn. Parking was perfect. I mean im a picky person but this place was cozy and inviting, it's like a historical boutique. I would definitely go back. The young lady and gen were awesome. You cant get more southern than the hospitality that we received. Im sorry I cant remember her name but the young lady that assisted me on May 21,2025, Thursday around 230pm she was the best she knows who she is. Then the young man during the evening was top notch. The location was perfect -two blocks from Forsyth Park. We stayed in the Commodores quarters, and it was charming and comfortable. A very large space including a living room and kitchen. We stayed for 2 nights in March. The owner, Pete, is very kind, helpful, and generous. He truly went above and beyond to make sure that we felt at home and that our stay was comfortable and stress-free. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The yard is well detailed and could easily be utilized for a small event and photo shoot. I appreciated the extra security of an enclosed fence behind a coded lock. There is also parking provided behind the houses. Visitors get to choose between staying in a Victorian home and a Colonial Home. The Colonial Home is very impressive and feels like staying in a cozy museum quality location with modern quality amenities such as a full kitchen and plenty of fashionable bathrooms. Everything looks as if it had come from a home magazine cover. Pete, the own, is very accommodating. He lives near by and know all the history on both homes, having done much of the work to fix them up for guests. I look forward to staying here again.
