First time to Savannah and chose Koehle House (per Grok’s recommendation) because of the location and reported charm. The location is great and had I stayed longer in a different room would have enjoyed my stay more. Unfortunately, there was a smell coming from a stained rug (see picture) that made my stay in the Finch room very uncomfortable, Underneath the rug was even more stains and I could not figure out why the beautiful southern yellow pine floors were covered with such as smelly rug. I should have switched rooms that night but was tired (see previous drive) and will do so in the future, even if it’s 10pm on a Sunday night. When I spoke to the manager Susan about this she responded that the rug needed “attention” and “is being addressed” but did not notice a smell. Perhaps she could explain what those words mean as I would not stay in that room again (at any price) with that rug. Overall, I think the Kehoe House is in a very relaxing location in downtown Savannah and has a lot of charm, but is not worth the $300 ($360 with tax) nightly rate. Perhaps there are other B&B’s/AirBnBs in the same location that can offer a better experience.

We decided on the Kehoe house on our recent trip to Savannah based on stellar reviews. We also have stayed at the Hamilton Turner in years past (enjoyed very much at that time). The room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The room also came with free parking a street over which was convenient. The inside of the house if quite peaceful. We stayed on the 3rd level and had no issues with noise. The reason for not giving the stay 5 stars was the food. I know a lot of other reviewers raved about the food, however my husband and I felt it was quite average for a bed and breakfast. Hors d'oeuvres were fine. The cheese plate left much to be desired as it was just standard cheeses cut in cubes and crackers which you may see at the grocery store. Evening dessert and cookies were tasty and after dinner drinks are offered. We did not find the breakfast to be anything special. Standard granola and vanilla flavored yogurt (plain yogurt with local honey would have been a nicer touch). The juices were not fresh squeezed. The coffee was self serve. The breakfast entree was adequate but nothing stellar. The positive side of the breakfast though is it seemed the chef is very accommodating and you can preselect what you want to eat (therefore guaranteeing there will at least be something for everyone to eat). You would not go wrong by staying at the Kehoe House, but on our next visit we would like to explore other Inns.

The location is excellent, we walked a lot. The room was great. Very clean and comfortable with modern touches, but keeping a historic feel overall. We were in a front facing room and we were warned this was a tour spot. I am pretty sure we are in some photos. That being said the view to the square was great. We walked to some good restaurants and stores, walked to the Sorrel-Weed tour, toured the squares, everything seemed very accessible. The breakfasts were great. Nothing too over the top, just a fresh quality start every morning. The snacks and Hors d'oeuvre were actually enough to cap off a busy day if you had a big lunch, even with the walking. I am probably biased to Savannah since I grew up here as a kid, but the area felt reasonably safe enough, with our walking even in the evening. The holiday weekend was busy but not too over crowded, even on River Street. We had no problems getting tables at reasonable times. We only did a reservation at the Pirate's House. Loved the historic atmosphere, even the haunted stories. The staff were great all around. Definitely on the list to revisit. The only issue we had on last day was the couple that brought their dog to breakfast. The dining room is intimate, so for people with allergies that was not very considerate.

First time in Savannah and this was a perfect walkable spot. Only has 2 parking spots that are first come first serve, otherwise if it is a busy booking time you have to pay for street parking just an FYI. Room was adorable and very clean. So nice to have waters left for us and plenty of towels. Bed was extremely comfortable in the Royal Palm Suite. Food was spectacular and a highlight for sure. Not only was the breakfast so nicely made and prepared, but there were contestant drinks, coffee, wine, snacks and desserts 24/7 for the taking. Amazing oatmeal white chocolate chip crasin cookies I died for. One thing is I wished the time for breakfast was longer. It is served 8:30-9:30am. Hoped it would be longer than an hour. I recommend they extend it to 10am or make it a full 2 hours 8-10am. A slight extension I think would give guests more time and it definitely is the highlight of the stay. Will 100% be back next time I am in Savannah! The chef for breakfast was extremely kind and accommodating as well.

It's obviously quite old, but also quite clean and quiet. The beds are large, firm, and comfortable, and our room was quite large with lots of windows. The hosts, Rob and Angela, were not there to greet us since we arrived early, but we were given easy instructions on how to come in, and we were free to explore the downstairs. We had already booked a couple of tours, but we noted Rob and Angela kindly booked tours and printed tickets for other guests so they wouldn't have to do that on their own. The breakfasts were very nice, with lots of variety. They had two adorable, friendly schnauzers that my wife and I loved to pet and play with. We have stayed at many B&Bs and this one is clearly our new favorite. Angela and Rob are gracious and friendly hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them. The breakfasts were beautiful, delicious and quite filling. The decor of the inn was very thoughtfully done and beautiful and so very inviting. We loved the classic Savannah style. The beds are super comfy and provided us great nights’ sleep so we were ready each day for exploring the beautiful city. And a shout out to Nicole for keeping our rooms so fresh and clean—and ohh those delicious cookies!!! Didn't like that the entrance was on a sketchy alley. There was no exit/entrance on the river and you had to walk along this alley with huge garbage bins to get to the river or climb a 24 stair case to get to the street level. Every morning at 5:00am the garbage truck came by and it was loud. Paper thin walls, we heard every footstep and conversation of the people above and next door. The staff were nice, but the cleaning of the room and entryway was little to non existent. The towels were replaced and the bed was made, but the bathroom floor had hair and was not cleaned through our stay. Someone said the parking is free, it's not, it's put into the fees and taxes and cost $40 a day. If you like old charm, by all means. However, next time I would prefer a location where I felt safer entering and exiting the hotel.

At 4 pm, a sweet snack is set out for the guests and then at 8 pm cookies and milk are set out. The location is within walking distance of just about everything in the historic district. The rooms are amazing - we stayed in the Lane Cottage which is billed as one of their more "traditional rooms" as opposed to "premium" room/suite due to its location at the back of the property off the main house but the location is one of the best features - if you're looking for a secluded get away with some privacy! It's the size of a mini-house with its own kitchen, breakfast nook, living room area, and upstairs bedroom with 3 closets total (2 up, one down) and bath upstairs as well. You walk in and keep discovering more and more space! The deluxe king-size bed is huge with a gorgeous mahogany carved headboard and extremely comfortable, not-too-firm-not-too-soft-just-right mattress with topper. You'll also find you have a courtyard if you continue to the back. My boyfriend and I loved our stay and will definitely book the Lane Cottage for future visits! The Inn is in Historic Downtown Savannah and just blocks away from all the main city attractions in any direction. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to. It was a wonderful weekend getaway! Steps away from Monterey Square and Bull Street, and only a block away from Forsythe Park. We walked everywhere in Historic Downtown from here. The property is beautiful, with connected courtyards and plenty of outdoor seating areas. As one of the value rooms it is located up two flights of stairs on the top floor. The stairs are narrow and steep so I wouldn't recommend this room to those with any knee problems or anyone who is really big in size. The room was very clean and quiet as there is only one other room on the floor. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff very friendly. It was a treat to awake to the smell of bacon each day. The location of this historic inn was right smack in the middle of historic Savannah, easy walking distance to all of the popular sites, squares, restaurants and the river. What puts this BnB over the top is the wonderful staff. I stayed here in November for the Every Woman's Marathon. The location is amazing, easily walkable to everything. It's also gorgeous and people were even stopping and pointing on the streets remarking how nice it is. Breakfast was delicious on the morning we were there for it, and we were even provided a little bag of homemade muffins for the day of the race when we'd miss brealfast since they knew we'd be leaving so early -- I teared up a little when we saw the HANDWRITTEN NOTE INSIDE -- come on!!! Inn from March 23rd to 27th, and it was my best trip to Savannah yet (and I've had a few)! We were there to tour SCAD, shop, eat, and generally soak up Savannah's prolific ambiance. My 17-year-old daughter fell in love at first sight with the city, as I did. Over the years I have stayed in inns, hotels, and Air B&Bs, but P.Q. Inn was recommended to me to try by my brother. They had me at PARKING! It is incredibly unusual in historic downtown to have a parking lot attached to your lodging. It was so very, very nice! I would stay here again for that perk alone. Fortunately for us, that wasn't the only perk. I think what truly gives this place the edge is its employees. They love what they do, they love Savannah, and they are genuinely lovely human beings. I had the most contact with Dan, Kara, Scarlett, and Brandon. From storing our cooler and letting us park early before check-in to keeping my snacks in their fridge, they just wanted to be helpful in any way they could. I felt like I had known these fellow Southerners my whole life. THAT'S why I'll take Savannah's warmth over Charleston's self-importance any day! Although we didn't meet the chefs, we surely appreciated their art. My daughter's favorite foods in Savannah were the bacon and the raspberry pastries at the P.Q.Inn and the Olde Pink House's fried chicken. That's saying something! I choose to stay in historic buildings ( I have always lived in old houses too) because I appreciate their charm and their history. Old buildings have quirks, that's why we love them. Old houses have floors that creak, paint that chips, and windows that aren't as hermetically sealed as modern ones. I'll still take the historic venue over a sterile modern one every time. If you don't like old things, please do yourself a favor and stay at a new hotel. I stay in the middle of the historic district to appreciate its art, its architecture, and the buildings dating back to the 1700s. Yes, you may hear a horse clopping by. You may hear a tour guide teaching a group about a nearby building. If you want to go to sleep at 9:00, again, do yourself a favor and stay at the Westin across the river. My room looked out at the 17hundred90 Inn and that is ground zero for ghost tours. They were never overly loud, nor continued past 10:30 at night. The previous reviewer who mentioned the noise keeping him up past Midnight is just not telling the truth. I was there the same week. Savannah is very good about cutting the noise off by 11 pm, and I have found that it is usually closer to 10 or 10:30 pm. You absolutely cannot beat this inn for location. It sits directly on Oglethorpe Square and you never have to move your car (although you can if you want without having to look for hours for another one) as everything is within walking distance. I will absolutely stay here again on my future trips to the city I love. I have read, sadly, that this inn has been sold to a larger developer who intends to expand, and build over the top of the current parking lot. I love the Presidents' Quarters Inn just the way it is. I understand that old buildings are expensive to maintain, however, and the cost to stay here is in line with other hotels, many that don't have to pay the high costs of keeping a historical building in good shape. I selfishly wish the sale would fall through because the parking perk alone moved them to the top of my list; the employees keep them at the top. We stayed in the Ivy room, very roomy, shower was HUGE and the fact that the toilet had its own room/door to it…even better! Bed was the comfiest bed we have ever had while not being home. We loved being able just to walk a few minutes to where we needed to go. I also really appreciate a cooler temperature in my room but as an old historic building, I think just providing portable plug in fans or installing a ceiling fan in the rooms would be so helpful!!
