Waiting outside was nice though. Appetizers and drinks were good, staff was welcoming. The reason for the 3 stars, we ordered a steak, waitress never asked how we wanted it cooked. It came out very very rare, the rarest I've ever seen a steak at any steakhouse. Waitress said, oh i thought u wanted it rare?? We asked if they could cook it more medium well. They obviously threw it in the microwave for a few, then brought back our same steak. It looked ok, but when we cut into it again, it was still rare. I've never seen any restaurant, that doesn't ask how u want a steak cooked, just assume you might want it still moo-ing. We don't mind a medium steak, but this combined with the long wait kind of ruined the experience. It wasnt worth asking to fix the steak again. Everyone else in our group liked their food, so we will give it another try next time we're in pensacola, but we will not order the steak again

The restaurant is extremely loud. The fried green tomato appetizer was really good and our dessert was really good. The appetizer and dessert are what we liked the best about the meal. I got the Chicken Satay which is an August feature. The waitress told me it was a nice size piece of chicken so I was thinking chicken breast but it was 3 chicken fingers and they were tough (18.95). My husband got the crab cake salad and the menu described the crab cakes as jumbo. I would not consider them jumbo at all (24.95). He did say the crab cakes were good but smaller than he thought being listed as jumbo. We don't visit the area often and wanted to try something new but we don't feel like we got our money's worth here because our main entrees were ok. We each got a drink from the bar. They were ok. Our bill was over $100 (including tip). If the main dishes had been excellent, we wouldn't have thought anything about the total bill. Not being mean, just realistic.

It's food trucks but they are permanent & really nice. They have tables and chairs out under a nicely treed area with colorful flags for decor & fun lively music playing. It's a better atmosphere than I thought it would be. They've done a nice job. Their food is so delicious, fresh, homemade & nice portions. I had a birria & steak picata style tacos & my hubby had a birria taco as well. The meat portion is substantial and perfect savory flavors. Their homemade corn tortillas are so delicious and we bought a 10 pack to go for only $2. We also had a side of beans which were nicely done as well. I love that they have their homemade salsas along with pico, pickled onions & horseradish for you to add on yourself or put in little to go containers. I loved their green & red sauce that were in the bottles, full of flavor and a medium spice. The pickled onions were pretty spicy and not as much pickled but still really good on my tacos. The tacos are $4 & is you want steak or birria, it's 50 more cents. And if you want flour tortillas it's 50 more cents. Their homemade corn is the bomb so no need for flour there! They had quesadillas for $8 and burritos for a little more than that. They also had platters. Great choices and I would go once a week if I lived here. They had very kind customer service and people constantly flowing in for to go orders and eating there as well. It was 3 in the afternoon so a lot busier than I would think but that just shows how delicious this place is.

It was my first time here and honestly, probably my last. It took over 25 minutes to get our food, the chicken wasn’t rotisserie style like I expected it was more burnt and overcooked, same with the plantains. The potato salad and fries were decent, though.
