Always thrilled to see arancini on a menu. Decent servings. Local beer in a bottle too. It was pretty busy in the late afternoon on Easter weekend, but still a few tables available for walk-ins. A few people had kids. It seemed child-friendly. The toddler at one table was enjoying the chips. A child at another had an ice-cream sundae which I would have got if it hadn't turned chilly. The menu is not what is advertised online, there was not the same amount of choice, the steak had run out by 7.45pm on a Saturday, the starters were wrong and the staff had packed away by 9pm and we could not order / was not offered desert or coffees. I would highly recommend trying the chicken burger. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views across the Thames estuary from the rear terrace. The chilled music adds a nice touch to the ambiance. The service was sadly a little slow on our first visit, but the restaurant was extremely busy and perhaps understaffed, but this restaurant deserves a 5 star rating for its great atmosphere, excellent food, and friendly staff. The restaurant interiors are lovely, there's booth seating available in some parts too. I've never been in the garden, but it looks lovely from the parts I have seen online. The food can be a little bit inconsistent unfortunately. Sometimes I'll go and it's cooked really well, however, sometimes it can not be as good. I got their french when they first started doing the huge ones with all the decor, and it was some of the best I've had. Then I went again a few months later and it had no egg in it, and was more like a dry piece of brioche bread which was a let down. I do however, appreciate that restaurants have busier periods where the pressure in the kitchen is high, and the standard cannot always be kept. The menu has a great range and there is something for most people to eat! Overall, the service is good and the dishes do come out promptly and it's a nice reliable place to find food in Leigh-on-Sea.

I’ve left the review here as they are wise enough to not have a review page. Terrible experience from start to finish. The service was cold and unwelcoming, like we were an inconvenience just for showing up. It honestly felt like this place bit off more than it could chew trying to expand—clearly not ready to deliver the same high standard as the original branch. The milk used in the latte tasted off, and when we apologetically asked again for well done eggs, they came back blackened around the edges. We decided to try the lunch set menu (2 or 3 course inc sides) and had the two veggie options, which were a quinoa salad and a mushroom dish with sides of sesame rice and potatoes. She had said to me if they still stocked it she could have swapped it or with my receipt swapped for something of the same price. And may I add SHE offered to get it sewn for me with the owner. So to offer that and then two weeks later tell me I didn't even buy it there is just disgusting. I have spent a lot of money in this shop, so has my mum and partner. Never going back there. Its the rudeness and attitude that stinks. Why be so rude and accuse me of being a liar? Will be visiting the lady on the market stall who sells the exact same stuff.
