We had the immensely joyful experience of getting married at Zion Springs March 29, 2025!
We booked Zion Springs in July 2022. It was the first (and only) venue we toured, and we knew right away it was the one. The property is absolutely stunning, the rooms are cozy and welcoming, and the team—Jon, Chris, and Laura—just radiates warmth and intention. We didn’t want a typical wedding. We wanted an experience that would be unforgettable, not just for us, but for our friends and family! Zion Springs delivered that and more.
Our guests started arriving Wednesday afternoon, and from the moment they stepped onto the property, everything just felt right. Thursday we had low-key bachelor and bachelorette parties in the area, then came back to the venue to end the night together. Chris made the most delicious breakfasts Thursday and Friday morning (seriously, people are still talking about the food), and Jon and Chris were both everywhere—chatting with our guests like old friends, making sure everyone felt taken care of, and just bringing this calm, grounding presence to everything. Having both of them so present in those early days meant the world to us and to our families.
Their son Johnny who is the operations director (or something similar, I kept getting this wrong all weekend!) was such a bright spot—kind, helpful, fun to be around—and the family dogs (especially the new pup, Bella!) added this relaxed, homey vibe that made everyone feel like they were part of something special.
By Friday, it was rehearsal time, and I can’t stress enough how thoughtful and efficient the whole thing was. The Zion team has this process down to a science, but somehow it still feels entirely personal. Throughout planning, they were on top of every detail, checked in regularly, and made sure we felt confident and supported. I was never stressed. They just had us, plain and simple.
That night, we had a beautiful Italian dinner that we got to customize with the incredible head chef, Anna. She was so open to our ideas and helped us create a meal that felt like us. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it.
What truly blew us away, though, was how the whole environment fostered connection. Our closest people bonded in deep, meaningful ways we never could’ve planned for. Our people were open, emotional, and full of love. It was overwhelming in the best way.
On our wedding day, the studio team. led by the wildly talented Matt, took our vision (a moody, Grimm fairytale meets pop punk music video) and ran with it. It was a big ask, but they didn’t blink. With the talented hands of the designer and floral expert Sofia and the rest of the studio team, plus some of our own decor pieces, they brought our weird, romantic, spooky dream to life in a way that felt so personal and so “us.”
Every single member of the Zion Springs team played a part in making our day what it was—from the studio to the bar staff to the decor and planning teams. The food, the florals, the photos and videos, the music… every detail was thoughtful, high-quality, and full of heart. Jon and Chris especially, along with Johnny, Matt, and Anna, made us feel so known and celebrated. They didn’t just host our wedding—they helped us live it.
It’s been three weeks and people are still talking about how magical it was. For our family and friends who stayed on-site, it felt like we’d all lived together for months. There’s no way that kind of closeness would’ve happened without the intentional, warm, and welcoming space the family and staff has created.
We’re endlessly grateful, and if we could do it all again tomorrow, we would—no question. Thank you, Jon, Chris, Johnny, Matt, Anna, and the entire Zion Springs team for making our wicked little fairytale a reality.
