For this, we had also requested a drag artist to perform, and play games etc- all booked by popworld themselves. The booking process was very easy and stress free, there was a slight blip when the original queen had to cancel however this was resolved very quickly. When planning it was easy to contact staff at popworld via messenger and Sam had arranged for us to drop in decorations etc. prior to the event with another local venue as popworld wasn’t open. I was very surprised that when we arrived there was more than I had supplied up and about, along with some nibbles and bubbles (loved the crisps!) Through booking we had a bar tab which lasted far longer than any other bar tab I’ve known at a hen. Even when that had run out drink prices were very reasonable. We were looked after extremely well throughout the 3 hours we had booked and the hours that followed! The drag queen hired was excellent! Definitely everything we wanted and more and the DJ keep the tunes going all afternoon. If you’re planning a hen party in Swansea I would highly recommend booking popworld for your venue!

We came to listen to the Music of the Movies played by the Welsh Concert Orchestra. What an absolutely wonderful treat! The venue was really cool, very fun to enter into that golden swirl ceiling entrance lobby. The Music of the Movies was thrilling to listen to and watch the orchestra and accompanying choir live. The conductor was funny and kept the performance moving in the most effortless and enjoyable way with his little introductions to certain pieces and well thought out comments and notes of trivia about the music. The sound of the orchestra was gorgeously full and rich and even though we were at at the top at the back it was still a good enough level of volume to feel fully immersed in the music. The food had plenty of flavour and everyone in my party enjoyed it. I would offer 5 stars if some parts of the service could be improved. It was a busy night so I appreciate the staff working hard. What could be improved is offering menus when being seated as the only menu available for viewing is the one just before you order (which I don't want to say but similar to a fast food outlet which isn't bad just a bit annoying). The menu is awkwardly placed behind a pillar so you have to move around to see it all and possibly disturb some other customers if you don't want to be in the queue to order. I would recommend when you are sat at your table to go onto their website to view the menu there which is far easier. A recommendation for the restaurant would be to have at least 2 people on the counter, 1 to take orders and 1 to get the food ordered as having the same person do both really slows the whole ordering process down, especially on busy nights, perhaps I just went on a night when this was the case. Overall, although my negative section is longer than the positives, they did not ruin my experience and myself and the people I was with would happily go there again and only expand on the negatives as constructive criticism.
