The ladies at this shop were super friendly, courteous, and obliging. We got a men’s bush shirt made out of fabric procured elsewhere and another one out of linen that we bought there. Both fit well and turned around in less than 24h. I bought a couple of Ao Dai’s…ready made from the shop. The fit was perfect on one and needed a bit of adjusting on the other. The clothes weren’t cheap but I was also not looking for a deep bargain. I wanted good quality tailoring and fit. Hopefully, the clothes will last us a while!

It's a grand and smart hotel with exemplary, top-notch service. Public rooms are imposing and comfortable. We took a suite at the front of the hotel which had an unusual configuration and we could hear road noise, though as it turned out that didn't really disturb us. Breakfast is plentiful with local and European options. We didn't use the attractive pool due to the weather, but the spa, gym and massages are all excellent. We tried the restaurant one evening but the Vietnamese food was disappointing and there are better options within a short walk or Grab ride; less adventurous tour groups seeking their burgers and chips will be happy, though. It's a two-minute walk from the train station and 30 minutes' pleasant walk to the Citadel along the river, so a good location. We would happily return to this hotel, which is ultimately the best test of all.

Joy is impeccable and all of the waiters are kind, helpful and impressive.The service is outstanding, the rooms and grounds are stunning and the dinner was amazing and in a gorgeous setting. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were so friendly but also professional. The breakfast (and food served at other times too) was excellent, plentiful and fresh. The room has the real wow factor, with freestanding bath and a huge bed (also huge tv with Netflix to cosy up at night after a long day of exploring). Grab cars easily accessible in the area to get to the city (or take the hotel transfer) either way not expensive or too much trouble. We loved our stay, and would recommend to others who are travelling to see Hue but also value peace and tranquility.
