Finally the food came, and my poor husband on his birthday was handed cold wings. He had to get up and go to the bar as Erica was just standing at the bar again. We said we are sorry but the wings are really cold. She begrudgingly took them back to the kitchen. When she came back she said the kitchen said you get what you get the wings are supposed to be cold as they have sauce on. And she was arguing with us. The wings came back black as she said the kitchen had just put the remaining wings back into the fryer . The wings were literally black, awful. I asked the waitress to take the wings off our bill as they were unedible. She argued and gave us attitude the whole time. Next when we ordered another round of beer, she came back with one beer short again, we waited for her to come back, but she chose to stand at the bar instead. When she came back I said to Ericka , this is the worse service I have ever had, you have been terrible. She immediately answered, the feeling is mutual. I was so mortified by this waitress attitude and bullying attitude I talked to the floor manager. He apologised and said she shouldn't of said that. We were so upset that I called back at 7pm that night to talk to the manager, who gave the typical responses. We opologise. We pride ourselves for having good food and service. Our evening was absolutely ruined by the waitress, I have never in my 30 years of being in the restaurant business met such a horrible unprofessional waitress , she was truly a nightmare. If you get her I would personally request another waitress. My husband who wanted to go to the toucan to see if it would be a good restaurant to have for a massive Christmas party, for his staff. Was completely horrified by the waitresses rude, unprofessional, bullying behaviour. We will not be going back to the Toucan until the turnover of staff changes and the waitress is no longer there.

I tried the dishes I used to get at Royal Angkor at Pat's. The Siam Delight is slightly different (probably less sweet) but still as good. I didn't enjoy the Golden chicken as much. There was either too much white meat or it was a little on the tough and chewy side. The sauce was also not as spicy as Royal Angkor. The owner/staff has always been friendly. The freshly blanched/steamed green beans, roasted peanuts and cucumber elevate the texture of this dish. For an extra kick in spice there are a couple deseeded green chilies that can be discarded if desired. This dish comes with a big portion of steamed rice and is inside the container with the chicken. They include napkins, plastic utensils and fortune cookies in their take out bag. They have packets of hot sauce available that you can request when ordering. This dish has always been consistent in flavor, taste, and portion size. I can't speak of the other dishes on their menu because I only order this. I enjoy this take away at least a couple times a month and what I really enjoy is that I get two meals out of it, it's actually even yummier the next day!

We booked the option that includes a 3-course lunch, and as vegans (plant-based diet), we were honestly impressed by the quality and thoughtfulness of the menu. We started with a fresh salad, followed by a delicious main dish with cabbage and black beans, and ended with a rich vegan chocolate dessert that was just perfect. The 3 hr tour and 1 hr tours were both great, the shipwreck one was a waste of time. The 3hr tour takes you through alot of the 1000 Islands, up to Gananoque and back to Kingston, you see a lot of private islands and cottages as well the Kingston harbour. Very relaxed and lovely. One hr tour was mostly focused in the area close to Kingston, this tour was more busy but definitely still good. Not quite as good as the 3 hr tour but if this is all the time you can afford, it's still worth it. The shipwreck tour was the worst out of the 3. It was a very similar route to the 1 hour tour and we assumed we'd be able to see shipwrecks, but you can't. You don't get close to most of them and some you bypass completely. Maybe it was silly of me to think I could see a shipwreck from above the water but I guess that's what comes with calling it a Shipwreck cruise. They have someone from a museum doing the talking and she seemed quite knowledgeable but they relied heavily on the use of pre recorded videos of dives, which I saw absolutely none of. The cruise was busy and I was unable to get a seat in view of the tv screen, which depending on how the sunlight is hitting it or the numerous technical difficulties they were having, wouldn't have been able to see much anyway. I'm glad I didn't pay for it due to my residents pass but I definitely felt bad for the tourists I was speaking with who did. So to sum up- both the 3 hour or 1 hour sightseeing cruises were good and worth it, but don't bother with the shipwreck cruise, unless you're just happy to be on the water on a small ship, which is still pleasant in itself.

It was in a convenient location and we were attracted to the diner theme. However, we found the music to be way too loud for comfort and the food and service were very disappointing. The customer service is terrible in person and over the phone, the employees seem like they hate their jobs, nothing ever gets resolved but it’s not like it’s a one off occurrence that gets rectified by a simple “hi sorry *this item* was forgotten out of my order” and it gets fixed, instead I’m left feeling as if I’ve inconvenienced the staff by requesting items that I PAID FOR. I would never recommend this location. There’s no sense in “paying for convenience” when I end up paying for inconvenience. Considering what it costs just to be unsatisfied every time, I’d have better odds of going to the A&W across the parking lot of even the Denny’s on Benson St to spend the same amount of money and at least be happy with my order. If I decide to splurge and treat myself to takeout, it will not be here. I ordered from here as a last resort as I currently cannot drive myself somewhere else and I am once again regretting my decision to eat anything from McDonalds. Usually it covers just about to the crust and idk if it was over cooked or what but these cheifs need to be taught how to cook...like they claimed they use a new flour but that doesn't explain the rest of the issues. I was offered to remake the food and at that point I was fed up after choaking and throwing up from that incident. I just told them to teach the staff how to cook. I will no longer be eating at tonys.
