It was a perfect atmosphere and the food was incredible. The event menu is diverse and has so many great options for guests of all ages. There are also great options for a half and full bar as well as a partial or complete booking of the venue. She was thorough in her explanations and we had clear expectations of what would happen the day of our event. For dessert, my wife got one of the store bought flavor, but it did seem like they made their own, so we'll get one of those next time. It was good enough that we will be back. Im glad it's Cajun Kitchen now. Tried Cajun Kitchen and for the most part the food was good. However, the beignet was not soft and fluffy like I've had at other establishments. While it didn't bother me, someone in my party that does not eat any seafood and notedthat some of the fried items had a hint of seafood taste. It may have been fried in same oil as seafood items. The pork chop on the other hand was delicious and bumped this review from 3 stars to 4 stars. On the drive back from Santa Barbara to LA the food didn't sit well with me. It could have been quality/freshness of ingredients went a little down. It was great for nostalgia, just not as great as I remember it.

My Wife wanted to try something different this evening, so we went ordered the course dinner. It was family style so the portions were generous for a course meal. We asked for no seafood and they made it happen. Asia, our waitress was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The food here is amazing. With the course meal, you get pretty much a good sample of the menu. We had a little issue with the plates having a little bit of an odor but they swapped it out for us no problem. My Wife still talks about how great the food was after a week later. Thank you Ruben & Asia for making our first visit to Santa Barbara a pleasant time. The chicken in both was rather tasteless and I'm pretty sure it came from a large compressed loaf of chicken that was cut into slices for the sandwich and cubes for the salad. The beer was good until I realized there were a food-like substance stuck on the bottom of a glass, which I didn't notice until I drank all the beer. But it was nice sitting on the outdoor patio. It was ok, good not great, not much atmosphere, but they do have a full bar. Hostess seated us at a dirty table with the check still on it which didn't get cleaned until we asked. Taking advantage of the full bar, I ordered an Irish coffee for this cold rainy day, but all I got was cold coffee with whiskey and whipped cream on top. Looked good but not even close to a real Irish coffee. But it was strong! My Cobb salad was a generous portion, but poor with bland chicken, cold limp toast, and thin, gray colored blue cheese dressing. On a high note, the tri tip sandwich was tender and we'll cooked. Fries we're also good. Our server was attentive but I couldn't help notice the couple across from us trying to get their servers attention for too long. During the lockdown we got tired of our own cooking and decided we needed some good pizza. My partner got the Margherita pizza, I got the Capricciosa.
