The prices were also very fair for how much food you get. Added bonus is that there's free parking outside on the street or multiple free car parks nearby.

I dined two nights in a row. Quiet & peaceful. I ordered the lamb the first night with vegetable rice. It was flavorful and tender. For appetizer I ordered the Papadom with mint sauce. Loved the crisp contrasted with the mild creamy sauce. The second night I ordered chicken tikka masala, which was buttery and slightly sweet with delicious buttery tangy lemon rice. The Wi-Fi was fast and they were kind enough to let me use it for a business call. The chef even came out to chat at the end of the shift. Very kind people. Highly recommend coming here. Was lucky enough to get a walk-in as it was busy, a five minute wait which was surprising as I thought the wait would've been a bit longer. Staff were really friendly and professional. Hotel was very clean throughout including our room. We had a few drinks in the bar, we didn't eat in the restaurant. The beds were super uncomfortable. We had a room with two twins that was not built to be set up that way; the beds covered the power outlets. The light switch for my bed side lamp was missing. Never been anywhere where the bed isn't made up every day, sure I turn it back to air before we leave to go out for the day but it was left like that. By day 4 I remade our bed before we went out for the day, just like the 48 weeks of the year that I am in my own home lol. I kind of in an amused way asked why this was and came back that day to a made up bed with no duvet on my side and the duvet tucked so tightly in that it would come up to your waist, bizarre, so completely remade it, it's just basic housekeeping really 😀. I will add that I'm tidy and there is never virtually anything to do to any hotel room that we stay in, I respect other people's property like my own home. Evening food was amazing when we ate there. Especially liked the pork dish that I had on my last night there and partner his beetroot and quinoa (I think) burger. Restaurant service at all times was amazing, the ambience was lovely, decor beautiful and surprisingly warm and cozy for an old building with no secondary glazing. Just a wonderful meal all round , pity its a fair distance from home as this would be an every night out favourite , very well recommended

The rooms are small and lack amenities like a fridge or microwave, same with stiff beds, but that seems to be the standard here. It took us a bit to figure out. A fun, Scottish style continental breakfast was provided and the staff was friendly and helpful. What an amazing introduction to Scotland! We accidentally forgot to book our final night there during a busy tourist time. Andrew helped us find another place immediately and even offered to take our luggage. If that isn't service, I don't know what is. The West End Guest House and all of Orkney was magical.

Our lunchtime patties were microwaved. The Willow Orkney patties- had LOVELY flavour and good ratio of meat to potato, but sadly have to criticise this takeaway harshly because our patties had been microwaved. Consequently they were inedible after couple of bites. Anything deep fried should never be reheated like this, it should always be fresh. We came here after seeing some positive reviews. We didn't try the Chinese takeaway options, which looked good. We came to try the chippy on a weekday lunchtime. Would go else where in the town. We also had chips, they were fresh and decent, oil was fresh. Not the best chips but perfectly adequate chippy chips.

That shows the quality of the food they serve. Staffs were so kind, polite and humble . I ordered Yaki-Udon, Yuzu cheese cake, matcha cheesecake and ceremonial matcha latte. All of these are delicious and yummy especially both the cheese cakes. It would be nice if the latte is more hot .The waiting time would be hardly 8-10 mins.(For my entire order) I thank maia and the chef Andy and kanako for this fabulous experience.
