The bread from here is superb; takes so fresh and is delicious. The cakes were also incredible. We both had the French toast with smoked back bacon and maple syrup. I could have easily eaten another portion. It went down a treat. The cakes were also very good, my only comment was that my brownie had gone a tiny bit stale but it was sitting out on the counter. They had a good choice of local jams to buy as well as coffee and other locally sourced bits. I bought some jam as a gift and some bread to take home. I would definitely go back.

It was £17 to visit the sunflower patch, this consisted of the smallest sunflower patch I had ever seen, it took my 3 year old son approximately 90 seconds to get around it and be bored. There wasn’t an option to visit the windmill and at the end we got a bunch of dead sunflowers (see attached photographs) we did complain to the lady in the tent and she said she doesn’t set the prices. Unfortunately we left extremely disappointed and it had put us off ever returning because I am unsure how you can charge £7 per adult and £3 per child for not even 1.5 minutes of fun. Huge money making scam but has been marketed extremely well. If you were looking to visit a sunflower patch that is huge and has a park for the children please consider Crewe green sunflowers (a little further afield). The patch is massive and it only costs £10 per car so if you have a car of 5 people it is £2 each and you get to pick your own sunflowers. Overall extremely disappointed and I unfortunately will not be recommending this tea room which is a shame because I love to visit small local businesses.

The side of cheese and onion hash browns were delicious and went perfectly with the breakfast. BUT, that was not entirely what we came for, the pastry selection from the bakery was the best I've ever seen and tasted even better. I won't go through each one but I highly recommend trying as many as you can. They were all so crispy and baked to perfection, I can see why so many people were stopping for treats. We will defo be back, and get another different selection to try!
