The restaurant is stunning, we were seated at a very cosy corner with a sofa and cushions, and the decor was gorgeous. The food was absolutely delicious - we had the sticky beef and soft shell crab tempura for starters and for mains we had the pork belly and scallops and prawns, as well as sides of carrots and green beans, finishing with a tiramisu. I had asked for a table tucked away in not so busy part of the restaurant,(we have children with Autism so always better to be out of the busy areas) we got a good table so im grateful we could be accommodated. The food was delicious, staff were very friendly and our waitress was extremely helpful with my daughters wishes to have her food done a certain way. Nothing was too much hassle to meet my daughters needs. The restaurant was lovely and the music was not overbearing to the point that you couldnt hear each other speak, just right for a family celebration. We arrived with a confirmed booking for six, amended via their automated phone system and confirmed by email — yet were told it was only for three. The manager, Gemma, dismissed our evidence, took my phone without permission, and navigated through my booking portal uninvited a clear violation of personal boundaries and wholly inappropriate. We were seated at a table for four despite being six, including two vulnerable relatives with dementia — one needing feeding. The service was extremely poor from start to finish, with long waits to even place a drink order and a general lack of attention from the staff. The cafe is a fantastic place to bring the family and relax. There is a lovely playground with swings, slides and a ride on digger. Staff were friendly, professional and polite. I ordered a passionfruit mojito and I could actually taste the alcohol despite the amount of ice cubes-very nice! The duck and pineapple salad was delicious, I would say it needed some sort of ju or sauce to go with the duck to give it a little moisture. The Rotisserie chicken meal could have been seasoned a little more but it was moist, tender and delicious however it could have done with something refreshing on the side like a salad or green beans. The thin cut and rustic thick cut chips were very nice. The children's chicken strips meal was a good portion however the chicken was quite dry. The toilets are wonderful to walk in to, smelled and looked clean as well as decorated pleasantly. Lastly, if you're type 1 diabetic, they have their carbohydrates pre-calculated via a QR code on the menu which is super helpful! Would dine here again if we were to be in the area in future!

We had the party set menu, food was served brilliantly all on time and together, lovely food. The music was great with a live singer, atmosphere was fantastic. Service was the let down. We had to ask for desserts (which were part of the set menu). When it came to paying the bill, it appeared we'd been overcharged. We hired The Brentwood Kitchen for our daughter’s 18th Birthday party and hired the DJ they recommended. Venue was great and DJ Steve excellent! We took along some balloons but that was all. Decoration is so optional and really you don’t anything… Just turn up with a happy face and your dancing shoes! Food was really delicious and was beautifully presented. Lots of compliments from guests. Bar & Kitchen staff were very lovely and really friendly. One member of our party is gluten free and the venue was chosen specifically with that in mind. The restaurant promotes accommodating different dietary requirements. As the set Christmas menu is only available Mon - Saturday we all decided to go for the next best option - a Sunday roast. We asked to speak to the chef about the gluten free menu options but was barred from even looking into the kitchen and no one made an effort to come out to speak to us. If removing items containing gluten from the standard menu is accommodating a dietary requirement - it very much speaks for itself. Desserts fared better. The service was fast but the whole meal felt rushed and we were virtually asked to leave at the end to allow for another sitting. This is normally our favourite restaurant to.order a delivery. But was very disappointed in food. The chicken tikka main was only 4 small bits of chicken and no mint sauce with it and the meat was cold. The other dish was chicken tikka mandala which was cold. The nan bread was burnt not edible. And ordered poppadoms didnt come with order. And sag also was cold and rice. The meat was chewy. We ordered through deliveroo delivery didnt take long so why was it cold. Called the restaurant about the poppadoms and how food was and just got told been busy. No apologies. Didnt offer to send out poppadoms or do anything about food. So my hubby took it up through deliveroo. Got some credit back through them. Was very disappointed. As especially never had issues before with them food has been good.

In hindsight, I should have taken some pictures of the restaurant itself. We had a pre-Christmas team lunch here, £19.95 set menu and you can't go wrong...or can you? The decor is lovely the restaurant appears to be clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic and entertaining with some livelier than others but no complaints there. The food however, was sub-standard and that was felt amongst the team. We were asked if they should prepare the mains or we cam wait for them, we opted to have them sooner, and they arrived much sooner than expected. The sea bass I had ordered was dry probably because it was overcooked as were some of the potatoes. The pesto flavour did not come through till the very end and it felt a little watery. Some desserts were less warm than others although my brownie was ok. I have given it an average review due to the service and staff if it was based on the food it would have been 1 or 2 stars.
