First of all I loved the fact that this restaurant is on the corner of a beautiful residential street; so it feels like your having a home-style breakfast right by home and the food is amazing! We had breakfast here today, and I ordered the steak and eggs it was really good, I enjoyed it a lot! I just wish they had ketchup, though 😅. The server gave me their own house sauce, kind of like salsa, and it actually paired really well with the meal.
We dined inside, and the only downside was that it got really noisy with people talking so loudly, which made it a bit hard to relax. Still, the food made up for it, and overall, I’d definitely consider coming back here again.

I absolutely love this place! Love that they offer delicious vegan options. October is the vegan chef challenge and this is my 2nd year coming back to try what's on the menu for this challenge. Definitely did not disappoint. We could never make up our mind. So my daughter and I always choose different dishes so we then can split them to try each one lol.
I 100% recommend this place! Oh yeah and their coffee is so smooth and delicious 😋 ☕️

A reasonable and accurate 30 min wait around 11:15 am on a busy Sunday. Got to sit outside and while it took a little bit to be able to order due to how busy the staff were, the food came out very quickly and was excellent. Server was very sweet and enthusiastic even though they were very swamped.

It was a very satisfying brunch. There were so many customers that we had to wait, but the food was the best. In particular, the French toast and pancakes were the best. Bacon and Butter is a very cute small breakfast/brunch spot off Broadway. The restaurant was seating inside and outside, they have a system for how to get a table that involves one line for putting your name on the list and another for being seated once it is your turn. They are pretty efficient especially considering how busy this place gets! The seating outside has umbrellas for shade which is nice and inside there’s tables, booths, and counter seating. Depending on when you go the wait may be longer than other times, I’ve usually had to wait around 35/40 minutes for a table for 2 and have had at the bar unless we wanted to wait longer.
I’ve been here a couple times now and it’s been a nice experience so far but nothing exceptional. Most recently I went with my friend and ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. The part that makes the meal spicy is the hot honey which if you are a fan of you’ll really enjoy. The chicken is cooked nicely but plain, the waffle is also a bit plain but has a nice texture to it, and they do top it with pineapple and jalapeños. The meal was good but not the best I’ve had in Sac. I also had some fingerling potatoes on the side which were crispy and delicious. I had leftovers because the food was filling. The service was good and I would definitely come back to try other items. Some things to keep in mind they don’t take reservations and they don’t have ranch haha.

This food was great! I ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich and it was so filling and delicious. The potatoes were a great crisp as well. I ordered to go and it was a quick and easy pick up. If you want to dine in you do have to wait in line outside. The restaurant doesn’t look too spacious, so I imagine it gets packed very quickly especially on a weekend. I went on weekday and it was pretty full. The hostess was very friendly and had my order waiting for me ready to go and made sure I had everything I needed. The price is as expected for a brunch place and the portion size. I would definitely recommend trying. However The parking is very limited, they have a free parking lot but there’s not many spaces.

When we first walked in I was a little skeptical because some of the staff didn’t seem friendly but after we were seated the staff helping us were nice. I love this place. This time we came in a group of 4 people for brunch. We waited about 20 minutes. We could see a good number of tables available, but they weren’t seating more people. I think because they didn’t have enough waiters.
They had indoor and outdoor spaces. This time we sat outside. It felt like a peaceful jungle. We also stepped inside and it was cooler inside and also nicely cluttered with mixed busy decor, but different.
The selection of brunch items was not much. The menu seemed full, but when we started reading the description of each item, they all had the same ingredients: eggs and pork! Two of us were vegetarian, and one of us didn’t like eggs! So we were stuck with what to order. Maybe the lunch or dinner menu is better, but we didn’t order from those.
I don’t think I want to go again for brunch! I might try going again for another meal at different time of the day.
The service was less than regular. The waiters popped in and out very quickly to drop the goods and leave without any personal touch.
I must say that I don’t like to have people with extra long beard carrying and serving my food. The beard was dangling a few inches above my food. I have no problem with people with beard, but it would be great if they can cover it while they’re carrying people’s food. I was frantically looking for hair in my food. I also noticed that more than one waiter/busboy with a long beard!
I will go again to try to pump up my review with a better experience.

This is a staple in the Sacramento landscape. But keep this in mind; prepare ahead of time because there WILL be a wait to get a table. Soak up the atmosphere. Grab a cocktail. Enjoy and take it all in.
Once you are seated - then the experience will shoot up through the scales. The food is amazing. Our table of 4 all tried various items - 2 of them at the very helpful recommendation from the service staff.

Everything here was absolutely amazing! We had just got into town and found this place and then our friend also recommended it. We were seated right away and brought water promptly. The service was super friendly and is definitely a teamwork kind of place. The atmosphere is so fun and beautiful with so much to look at and talk about. I ordered the Tower Benedict which comes on cornbread. It was almost perfect with thick cut ham, wonderful poached eggs and creamy hollandaise but the cornbread was cold. I saved half and heated the next morning which in my opinion was better. My partner got their Madame Cristo which was probably the best breakfast on the planet! I would absolutely recommend either dish. Potatoes were sub par and can use improvement but still highly recommend this spot!

Atmosphere: downtown relaxed and welcoming feel. It looks smaller in front but they have space and table in back and during the summer the outside patio is a beautiful place!

This is one of those ‘needs a second try’ reviews for me. My lunch companion was eager to share this place with me. Their menu has far too many choices for them to excel at any of them, especially for the size of the kitchen. While the selections we chose were among customer favorites (half sandwich salad & crepe), I wasn’t particularly wowed. The ingredients tasted average to me. Okay, I waited to post a review until I visited a second time. Only because I played it safe on my first order of eggs benedict. I should've trusted my gut instincts. Shame on me!
So let's begin with all the BS statements stated previously to my post about the wait times and attitudes from staff.
Alexis greeted me with a genuine smile on both occasions and sat me wherever I wanted. Super friendly, great conversationalist and non-judgemental on my ordering of a Bourbon bloody Mary at 0800! Hahaha Honestly, a great personality! So the comments of a negative experience by others - I can't see it. Now, if you approach them with an attitude, could you get it in return - I would hope so! Conduct yourself as you would want others to conduct themselves to you!
So, onto my first experience. I ordered the eggs benedict with bacon and avocado. The bacon didn't do the dish justice, especially with the benedict setup of flavors. I wouldn't recommend this. That's MY fault and I own that. Hence why I had to give it a second try.
Now for the smoked salmon eggs benedict with avocado, spinach and tomato. OH HELLO!!!! This is what I am looking for! Not to mention the bourdon bloody Mary- Yes please!
The flavors mixed great with two perfectly pouched eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce!

I ordered through UberEats so I can’t attest to the service or atmosphere. I ordered the brunch roll but apparently they no longer serve it. They tried calling me twice to see what I wanted instead but I was busy with my 5 year old and didn't hear the phone. So it got substituted for a breakfast sandwich and it was good, the bread was just a little greasy. I like it like that but when it's too greasy it quickly disintegrates basically and you no longer have a sandwich. The hash browns were good, crispy and buttery. The second order was the sausage, mushroom and onion skillet. This was definitely my favorite of the two. Mushrooms were earthy and fresh and accented with the onion just made it pop. Served with scrambled eggs and cheese, this dish was a homerun in my book. Portion sizes were good and because I spent $40 they threw in an order of Toastie's which were delectable and a little piece of magic. They were warm, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and fried flawlessly. I did not get a picture of them though because they were gone in an instant. Sorry!

This is our second time coming to this location and our food once again was mediocre to say the least. There's something about the seasoning not being there... I've been to numerous restaurants and when I ordered club sandwiches, they were always, toasted bread, crispy bacon served with cold lettuce, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese and cold turkey and ham. This sandwich was hot... To the point the cheese melted and resulted in Luke warm turkey, soggy bread and soggy bacon. Mixed with hot tomatoes and hot lettuce. It was inedible. My wife was unimpressed with the eggs Benedict she ordered, she stated the flavors were odd and potatoes were raw, to the point they didn't even taste warm. My sister in law had chilaquiles I think and she also stated she didn't like the flavors. I actually tried some of hers and I enjoyed it more than my dish. I may try that next time. I ordered the Toasties which I thought would be the size of donut holes, but they were enormous. The amount of breading and sugar on these was overbearing to the point it tasted like eating raw dough in some areas. Overall this place isn't doing too well when it comes to food, but their drinks are absolutely phenomenal. The amount of mimosa options is worth going to this place alone, just make sure to eat something before coming here.

I forgot to take a picture of it. It was so good. Everyone in my party cleaned their plates. My friend ordered the eggs benedict and specified how he wanted his hashbrowns done and they accommodated the request. They have iced coffee options, including lavender, rose, pistachio, vanilla, butter toffee and more. My friend ordered a mimosa which he said was great and the kids just opted for water, but there were so many drink options. There’s something for everyone here. The vibe feels very local and festive and family-friendly (yet also hangover-crowd friendly), and the art on the wall is inspiring, especially the art near the bathrooms. You can’t beat the location and parking is easy on the side streets. If you go on the weekend, you could also visit the farmers market or the vintage clothing goods market, depending on the day. I guarantee if you visit the morning fork, you will be a repeat customer!!!

I ordered the chicken and waffle. I was told that it was one chicken breast and one chicken thigh. They didn't say they were boneless and were going to be the size of chicken stripes. I've been searching for the best breakfast burrito in Sacramento for a while . I've been here about five different times and have only ever ordered the breakfast burrito.
After trying multiple meats, I'd recommend getting the chorizo as the meat and adding cheese. I feel as though the bacon made the burrito a bit too salty, but the chorizo was just perfect
Potatoes are not too crispy but it does not affect the flavor profile negatively.

When I first went inside, I didn't see any 'cash only' sign anywhere. After ordering my food, I was told that it was cash-only. Besides that, the food was pretty decent.
I ordered the Chile Verde, and it was: a little spicy, the meat was tender (though a little dry), the rice didn't taste right [to me], the beans were okay, and the portion size was okay for the price [about $15]. On a side note, I also wished there was more pico on top of the Chile Verde. The chips and guacamole, on the other hand, was pretty good!

I stopped into Nopalitos for the first time today, and it absolutely will not be my last. This spot is a true East Sac gem.
The dining area is small and cozy, with additional outdoor seating that gives it a relaxed neighborhood feel. You order right at the register, grab your own cream and sugar, and the whole process is simple and quick—perfect for a morning bite.
I had the huevos rancheros, and they were phenomenal—seriously one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and exactly what you want from a classic dish. The coffee was excellent too, strong and smooth enough to stand on its own.

Visiting Sacramento for work and Cornerstone is a nice stroll from where I'm engaged. Nice open seating area, super friendly staff. Nostalgic music in the air. Sadly, I was too late for their breakfast waffle. Breakfast shuts down officially at 3p but the waffle iron chills out around 230p so, if you're seeking pancakes with actual ambition, get to Cornerstone at a proper time 😁
That being said, I was surprised by the bacon cheeseburger. It's a diner burger, to be sure, but in a very good way. Solid beef, good American cheese, and truly excellent bacon. This is one of those burgers where the bacon truly owns the flavor profile. The onion rings are also very good. Ask for barbecue sauce if you get the rings. Pretty sure the sauce was Sweet Baby Rays but that's not a bad thing.
All in all a very solid lunch experience. Much recommended if you're in need of a good watering hole whilst out and about on ye olde J Street.

Bad first impression. A lukewarm greeting by the host/bartender, oddly aggressive when we asked not to be seated in a dark back corner of the nearly empty dining room. The menu was not the same as was shown on the website. Apparently there is a new chef, so the menu didn't have the items we were hoping to try. The chicken was tender but the taste was uninspired. I went here while on a business trip with a group of people. I had the Sesame Garlic Chicken Bowl, someone else got the Irish Beef Stew and someone ordered the Chimichury fries for the table.
I enjoyed the Sesame Garlic Chicken Bowl. It was chicken breast with teriyaki sauce on top of rice and veggies. It was good, but the garlic was not noticeable.

It took over 45 minutes to get my food. Yes, I get it that it's the lunch hour but 45 minutes is totally unacceptable. Server who took my order looked annoyed that I even asked her about it. Meanwhile, everyone in my group is tipping her 15% for a take-out order. Total lack of care for the customer. Food was mediocre at best. Salad was overloaded with bitter greens - vinaigrette was on the side in a small plastic capsule that was grossly insufficient to flavor the salad - it was also super sour and did not complement the flavors of the salad. Went in here to grab some breakfast. Ordered the vegan special dish, do not recall the name. It was from the specials menu so couldn't find it on the website menu either.
I would say, chef did a wonderful job in putting together all the ingredients and making it taste very nice with just salt and pepper flavors. I really loved that I could taste the veggies in there and there was no overpowering flavor.
The server was good. He was polite and patiently answered to all the questions I had about the vegan options. I love the quantity of the food is apt, neither too much nor too less so its worth the money.
The ambience of the place is also nice.
Just a tip that their tables needs to be re-varnished as they feel really sticky right now, almost makes you believe that they are not cleaned properly but the server confirmed that its just the varnish issue.

This place is absolutely amazing. I grew up in Sacramento and I have always wanted to stay there. I got the opportunity the beginning of the this year when I came back to Sacramento for a family reunion.
I live near the train station in Eugene Oregon so I thought I would just make an adventure of it and it did not disappoint me. I took the train to Sacramento and then stayed on the boat for a couple of days.
Pure history and it definitely helps that old town Sacramento and all of the museums that you want to see are all within walking distance.
If you are looking for a hotel with all the amenities, I recommend you go somewhere else because Sacramento has plenty of options for that. But if you are looking for an adventure and a memory, you will never forget this is definitely a place you want to stay.

We took the Amtrak train from Emeryville to Sacramento, and it couldn’t have been more convenient—no traffic, beautiful views, and a relaxing ride all the way from the Bay to the Central Valley. Every time I visit Sacramento, I make sure to reserve a table on the Delta King.
The atmosphere onboard is absolutely unique – a mix of Victorian charm and an old-riverboat vibe that instantly pulls you into another era.

I really wanted this to be a unique experience. First we were met by a frazzled front desk. They kept running in an out ignoring us for at least 10 min. Communication on how the hotel and restaurant work was poor. Tried 3x to go to the restaurant and it was closed at 7pm 8pm and 9pm. Hotel is a historical boat, it’s very unique and different. Great location in Old Sacramento and just a short walk to Downtown Sacramento. Very reasonably priced. My friends and I went here for lunch around 11:30am and were immediately seated. It's a small shop but the service was super quick. Sad to hear about this place shutting down by the end of the year. Had to try out there spam fried rice with eggs which is the number 41 I think. The fried rice w/ spam and scrambled was pretty damn good I would say it's a 9/10. This place looks like it's from a horror movie. Old school zoo / circus vibe, and starting to show its age. I got the early bird special and it was worth it. Can't say that it was amazing but it was pretty good. There was only one server for the entire restaurant so service was not the high point.

The service was decent but not majorly attentive. Has the Denver Omelet w/cheese and Country Potatoes. The extra cost for a sprinkle of cheese was not worth the extra almost $3, there was barely any ham in it and the eggs tasted like they were from a box but, the potatoes were on point and the coffee was fresh. I did notice the, I'm guessing, owner was very personal with his customers, which is always a plus. The old fashion charm of the classic diner was very whimsical and nostalgic.

This morning I had taken my wife to eat here and regret ever coming to this restaruant. As the waitress lupe walked us to our table she did not ask what we would like to drink just walked off. Lupe returned and took our order then immediately required me to pay the bill talking loudly so everyone in the restaurant is now looking at us. She didnt give us our drinks until after I paid ,and she brought back 2 folded dollars with no receipt when lupe brought the food it was already cold I had just spent $57 on cold food coffee and orange juice then as we're eating lupe asked how many to go boxes we would want and we just began eating so I finished my meal went to the bathroom and my wife was sitting with a look like she was about to cry she quietly told me she asked for more orange juice and a different server refused and gave her a cup of iceless water. I asked the waitress for an Orange juice she said there are no refills I said ok well I'm not asking for a refill I want to purchase another one she flat out said no and lupe yells come here I'll deal with you from the front register says no refills I said ok can you just charge me for another one she said you already paid so no. I was standing there embarrassed everyone watching cash to pay in my hand for the orange juice then she told us to leave she doesn't have time for me.i asked to speak to her manager she said I just did. That was the most horrible experience of our life. Rude judgemental staff cold food and Waste of money not worth it to eat there.
