I would personally take the hit on the odd client that overstays their paycheck. The food I went for the scrambled eggs and the wife went for the "Effectively" Full english. The coffee came! It was amazing, probably the best coffee I have had in WA! Hot, tasty, clearly made by a pro. The food arrives and it looks exactly as I was expecting of any boshy cafe, it looks flash! But sadly for us that's really where it stopped, Blunt knives, rock hard toast and rock hard bacon, the whole thing felt like more of SAS mission than a nice morning breakfast, but it could have been, nothing was seasoned, apart from the bubble and squeak, everything else felt bland? The eggs for me were tasteless underdone and sadly not what I was expecting. But I felt the experience was worth it for $50 for 2, I just know they could have been amazing! The entree portions were very large and generous and the foccacia was impeccable, however, everything else was a bit average and lacked salt. The fish tacos were mainly beer-batter with very little fish and the octopus was beyond charred and tasted just plain burnt. The mains were quite tasty and well cooked however again lacked salt. The baklava cheesecake was tasty however the bombe Alaska dessert didn’t arrive until 30mins after all the other desserts. The service was good and staff were well-trained. The ambience was somewhat taken away by the screens blocking the balcony so we weren’t even able to see the sunset we had specifically come to Bib and Tucker to see.

This place used to be one of the best in Perth but they really haven’t lifted their game with the times. Despite this be prepared to wait a long time for a seat because it is busy as hell! They were good - soft and fluffy, well cooked. But everything else on the plate was not. Birthday boy had the barramundi and loved it. Crispy skin, moist, and great flavour at a good price. The bar buns hit the spot, and the slow cooked ragu was nice. Saw this place on a blog post of ‘Best brunch spots in Perth’ so I was excited to try it. We came around 11am for brunch. The cafe was very busy but we managed to get a table right away without a booking which was great! The decor and atmosphere were nothing special. But if you’re into big American style portions & food, then this is the place for you! Hot chocolates were lovely. A staff member did abruptly interrupt us half way through our meal causing us to feel rushed to leave. This was unfortunate as we would have probably stayed and enjoyed our hot chocolates talking. The Shark Bay Chili Crab Scrambled eggs were particularly good, with a generous serving of crab and excellent in-house baked bread. The atmosphere was energetic, yet comfortable.. lots of people out for breakfast and chatting happily with friends. The menu looked great, lots of interesting sounding dishes. We opted for the Chilli Crab Scrambled Eggs and the Open Faced Steak Sandwich. The eggs were cooked perfectly, a nice soft scramble with a lovely flavour or crab throughout. There was a hint of chilli and slight crunch from the crispy onions. It was a very rich and buttery dish that could have really done with a burst of freshness from a simple garnish. It also lacked colour, being a plate of beige some chilli oil and spring onions could have really added some contrast. The steak sandwich was a massive let down, the steak was dry, overcooked and unseasoned. Medium-rare would have been the preferred cook but it was clearly well done with no hint of pink in sight. The Brie was completely lost amongst the meal, it didn’t really add anything.. but the red chimichurri was beautifully tangy and saved the dish. The coffees were great, really well made and clearly from nice beans. We had a couple of cold-pressed juices that were also really good. All in all it was okay, some nice things but spoiled by the steak. Service was good and I’d definitely come back again to try some other things.

The banana vanilla cupcakes were lovely and moist and such a great combo with the toffee buttercream icing. The only thing I would flag is that the standard cupcake mix is made on a base of buckwheat and almond meal. I didn't see this on the website and hadn't considered the possibility with reference to someone in my team having a nut allergy. It was my mistake though worth noting for anyone catering to a nut allergy. Chris later explained she is more than happy to bake nut free and take additional cross contamination measures if flagged at the time of booking. Chris was lovely to deal with.
