The place was nice and ambience was good for a busy weekend lunch. Our server was great and the pacing of dishes was up to expectations for a fine dining experience. I suspect that a smaller portion in a bento vs a main course makes it harder to control the cook but still I take a point off for a highly acclaimed item. The sashimi selection was great. Cape Grim ‘Grass Fed’ Rib Eye - perfectly medium rare in presentation and very flavorful, especially with the nicely roasted coat of truffle infused crumbs. Not sure if the mushroom was the right accompanying side. It could be the texture of this particular cut of beef but I was not blown away by this dish. Overall, it was a very delicious eat and I enjoyed it very much. It's perhaps not as refined in presentation as I had expected.

The best tasting barramundi I ever had, it melts in your mouth! However due to my allergies to beef, I couldn't eat steak due to food allergies (I have written it on my reservation notes), so they replaced the steak with the gyoza dumplings. And I would think that one of the two people having a 6 meal course can have steak and the other can have gyoza dumplings instead but not apparently if one of the two people cannot have steak both people cannot have steak. By the time we were about to leave the restaurant around 7pm, there were about 7-8 tables occupied (2 were of bigger tables of 6 people or more) so we found that it was hard to get any attention for anything. Even when I went to the counter to make payment, I was made to wait about 10 minutes before the host was able to serve me to settle the bill. All in all enjoyable experience especially since they had the Steak Special Menu.

The miso eggplant was the highlight for me: soft, caramelised, and packed with that sweet–savory flavour that makes you want to order another one. The unagi was perfectly grilled, tender inside with just the right amount of sauce. And also not to be missed is the miso black cod, which is by far the best miso black cod I have had so far! It was located at the Alexander building in Mt Lawley. If you parked you car along the Beaufort street, then you could go through the small throughway next to the Crust pizza and it'd get you there. We sat at the counter and had a good view of the chef preparing our meal. Overall the food was good and the sashimi & tempura dishes were delicious. Dessert was average. We left full and satisfied. First place I’ve had two of my favourite dishes combined - a sushi and a burger into a mouth watering, seaweed crunching SUSHI BURGER! The chicken was juicy and complimented well with the salad. The brown rice patty went really well with the seaweed wrapped around it. Their menu is unique, fun, adventurous and every meal we ordered was wonderfully presented. All their meals are freshly made and generous in portion size. This has very quickly become a go to sushi joint for us.

For the price that it is you should be expecting premium. My partner ordered an M7 Wagyu Steak and Hand Cut Wedges. The steak was great, but the potato wedges is horrible, uncooked and unseasoned. Completely bland. The Fresh Pineapple Juice was suppose to be fresh, but it's just a pineapple soda. My salmon sashimi was good. Edamame was good. The spicy tuna roll was freezing cold. I understand sushi isn't suppose to be hot. But freshly made sushi isn't suppose to be freezing cold either, this isn't supermarket sushi. This roll feels like it just came out of the fridge. Rice needs to be room temperature. I feel like I was mislead to the quality of this restaurant. Looks good but quality is horrifying.

Ramen was full of flavour but it does not quite hit the spot. In the way that it doesn't make you want more. Its filling when you add the Karage and Gyoza which tastes good. But the ramen itself itsn't filling on its own. Service was generally great, friendly and prompt. BYO which is a let down but not a huge deal. There is a bottlo near coles and bought Asahi beer. Good prices for the meal and snacks. Seats were not comfortable and when one of us had a medical issue the staff were not very accommodating or believed that person so were not very helpful about seating even though there wasn't that many people in the restaurant. In saying that we will come back again and give it another try. Added review: Came back recently and must say I like it better this time round. Busier too which is good to see. Fantastic price. Overall very happy. Will be back.
