Shopping mall
Shopping
Among North America's largest malls, this venue includes family attractions & more than 800 shops.
Slide 1 of 8
I’ve never been to such a massive mall before! With over 800 stores, it’s not just a shopping destination—it’s an entire experience. The mall features an indoor amusement park, an ice skating rink, an arcade, and even a full water park. There’s also a small marine show that adds to the fun. What really stood out to me is how versatile and family-friendly the place is. There are tons of activities for kids, making it a great spot for families. And when it comes to food, the variety is impressive—there’s something for every taste. The mall is so huge that a few hours just wasn’t enough to explore everything, but I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere and friendly people. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area—it’s definitely worth the trip!
This mall has everything… and somehow nothing at the same time! It’s huge, with a wide variety of stores to explore. There are two food courts plus another large dining area with major restaurant chains. You’ll also find some big-name designer stores for those looking to splurge. For fun, there’s an ice rink, a mini golf course, and so much more to keep the kids entertained. The only downside? There aren’t enough washroom facilities on either level, and they could definitely use more maps to help visitors navigate. If you’re new here, expect to wander a bit before finding what you need. Overall, it’s a beautiful, extremely clean mall—and be prepared, because it’s very busy from Sunday morning straight through to closing time.
West Edmonton Mall is truly an experience, not just a shopping center! It has everything in one place; hundreds of stores, a huge variety of restaurants, and so many fun attractions. I especially loved the indoor waterpark and Galaxyland, perfect for both kids and adults. The atmosphere feels vibrant and welcoming, and the mall is kept clean despite its massive size. It’s easy to spend an entire day here exploring, shopping, eating, and relaxing. Parking was convenient, and staff at the stores and attractions were friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, West Edmonton Mall is definitely worth visiting, there’s always something exciting to do! I had a full day of attraction here, the food court had varieties of food. I was also opportuned to watch a junior hockey league game and a judo competition during my visit.
->Drove 3500 km to knock this visit off the "Bucket list"<- Heard about this place all my life. Always thought "Wow, an amusement park? A waterpark? A hockey rink? Inside a mall?" But that was back in the 80s when malls were - well, everywhere. Now, not so much so. Almost all the malls in my area are gone so visiting a mall (any mall) is a little like visiting "something special" And boy howdy - was this one ever special!! So we spent the most time (and money) in the "coin and stamp" shop, which isn't just coins and stamps. It's also action figures (new and retro), comics, funko pops and much more. A fun shop! We really enjoyed just walking about and seeing all the stuff. Kids on rental "bouncy bike plush ponies", a mini putt course, pirate themed radio control boats, a full waterpark, and even hung around to catch a hockey game. We ate junk food and checked out Galaxyland (largest indoor amusement park: rides for kids; many Hasbro board-game themed). General pass for adults in 2025 is about $65 (pre tax), kids about $55 and you can pay more to add on mini golf and mirror maze and other stuff. Geez, what a place! Definitely worth seeing at least once! Remember where you parked, eh?
A must-visit destination in Edmonton. This place is truly impressive and offers a wide range of activities for the entire family. The selection of shops and restaurants is excellent, and the seal show is a unique highlight. The décor throughout the venue is beautiful and makes for great photo opportunities. Highly recommended.
I did this adventure with a friend while visiting the West Edmonton Mall. He had done a similar adventure before while this was my 1st experience. It was amazing. You could really get the sense of actually being there. It was very realistic and well done. There were a few minor glitches but nothing that takes away from the experience. It takes about 45 minutes from start to finish and you are taken on a pretty incredible journey through the pyramid and beyond. The story is well told and easy to follow. One point to note is that if you have a fear of heights you may experience it during parts of the adventure. It is definitely a must do if you get the opportunity.
Very cool experience for the first timer. Most every shop imaginable, including all the extras...ice skating, giant wave pool, bowling, theatre, seal exhibit and show, pirate ship adventure, Fantasyland Hotel...the list goes on. Im not much of an shopper, more of an explorer, so its certainly a neat explore.
What a huge mall! Galaxy Land has all the rides anyone can think of. Not very busy on a Friday afternoon. Need to purchase tickets for all the rides. Lots of games as well. It gets very loud with all the roller coasters and other rides. Paid 2$ each to go on the big boat, but you can't go anywhere, so it's not worth it. Lots of things for kids to do and many different stores to shop at.

We visit at least twice a year and the kids (and us) love it. It’s beautifully maintained and cared for and all the experiences feel authentic. Highlight of the park is always going on the train with the animals and Fairground close behind. With the kids being so young we stay for around 3 hours but as they grow and become more curious I can see that doubling. I also really appreciate facilities that allow you to bring food in. With the kids it’s important to get what you need when you need it and not just rely on what you can buy.
So my first time checking it out. I decided to pay for the extra fast pass, and it was definitely worth it. I was in every attraction in 5 minutes or less with long line-ups, but not one time was I asked to show my fast pass. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't asked, so who knows how many people are abusing this. As far as the show goes, it's an awesome place to do this at Fort Edmonton Park, but it definitely felt like more of a tame, family-oriented Halloween theme. The actors were very mellow, very quiet. Lots of rubber masks, which I find horrible. The haunts were three out of ten, not very scary, not very original. But the lighting outside was great. The idea is awesome, but the haunts were just not there. The food was expensive. I give the show a 3 out of 10. 🎃🎢🎭👎 #Halloween #Haunts #Park #Actors #Masks #Food
So fun! Actors were amazing…I can not express how awesome they were! They went above and beyond making each scare personalized, bought the fast pass so worth it never waited more than 2 minutes and got to get to each haunt twice and the experience was so different from the last. The first time going to something like this and personally it was just right. Each scare was so different it made it so fun, definitely coming back.
Green onion cakes food truck was amazing. As were the mini donuts. First time there and the experience was unforgettable. Haunted house so good i went through it twice. Highly recommend. Of course the ACTORS. Played their parts extremely well. Good job to all.
A very great place for your to learn about Alberta’s own history and the history about Edmonton and how it become capital city of Alberta. The staff inside there is role play in different era and dress accordingly. They are knowledgeable and explain to us what they represent. It’s divided by era and you can either walk or take steam train which is highly recommended to walk from early era to modern times. Very fantastic place to visit in summer as they closed in winter times. Parking is easy with big parking lot. Recommend to purchase ticket in advance.
Fort Edmonton Park is such a fun and educational place to visit with family! It’s the perfect spot to spend the whole day exploring, learning, and enjoying time together. There are so many activities and experiences for kids, which makes it an exciting trip for them while also being interesting for adults. From history and culture to interactive exhibits and fun rides, there’s something for everyone. A great place to make lasting memories—I highly recommend it!
Get an early start, you need about 5 to 6 hours to see everything without being rushed. I recommend waiting in line and taking the train from the entrance to the back of the park then walk your way back to the start, the queues and wait for the steam train are the longest, approximately 30min. If you're with young kids the games will be at the end which will keep them interested rather than doing it first. The food shop serves excellent food but can take a while with limited seating, there are seats outdoors, get someone to order while someone gets a table, don't wait for your food then look for a table. After lunch you can use the tram to get between attractions rather than walk. Most games and rides are free except the pony ride.
recently visited Fort Edmonton Park, and it was an amazing experience! This living history museum takes you back in time to explore Edmonton’s past in a truly interactive way. There are different time periods represented — from the 1846 Hudson’s Bay Fort to the 1920s — each with authentic buildings, costumed interpreters, and lots of hands-on activities. I especially enjoyed walking through the 1905 street with its old shops, vintage cars, and even a real working streetcar. The Indigenous Peoples Experience was very moving and educational — it’s a beautifully presented space that helps you understand Indigenous history and culture. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and everything was very well organized. It’s a perfect place for families, history lovers, or anyone looking for something unique to do in Edmonton. I highly recommend visiting Fort Edmonton Park!

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Indoor attraction at West Edmonton Mall with lots of waterslides, play features & a huge wave pool.
Slide 1 of 8
I finally got my family to come meet me in Edmonton after a work rotation. We went to the water park for the afternoon and took it all in. I love that there were adult drinks at the bar, and the rides were great for the little ones. They had a blast on all the slides, the wave pool, and the Caribbean play area. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to kill a day in the mall.
After visiting many indoor water parks, West Edmonton Mall’s is definitely my favourite so far. The many water slides and areas to explore tops. Some slides can be pretty hectic here and there specifically ones in which you are dropped straight down. But in general most of the slides here were pretty good. Lines weren’t as bad as thought they would be for a Friday and never did I wait more that 20 minute, this can obviously vary/depend on which slide you’re waiting for. If you’re looking for something not too crazy and fast I would recommend the blue bullet (That may not be the name as I don’t remember it) but It’s essentially a blue slide somewhere in the middle of all the slides and it has two parts to it. Like any other attraction at WEM the price is pretty pricey being the same as Galaxyland but that could’ve change on your age. The wave pool along with all the other activities are also very fun to check out. I’ll typically visit every few years and it’s never a disappointment.
We had a fun experience, however some things I did not love. First off having to purchase a single tube to do the rides, like come on. Yes I know a double tube is free but always long wait and I would have to go every time with my son, so we eventually bought a single. Also the weighing us before certain slides, I’m barely 120 pounds and my son is 60lbs and they weighed us to make sure we are not over 250lbs each… like really… anyone with eyeballs would know we are not over 250lbs. Trying to avoid fat shaming I supposed but really strange concept. Did like how they had dip in dots and served alcohol in the park! The no and out is annoying too. I bought a day pass, I should get to use it all day when I want. My son had fun though so I guess that’s all that matters!
My children loved and enjoyed their entire time. There was a problem with lockers need to be fixed , it took us half an hour to get our bracelets and put our belongings away and need to renovate the changing room area looks so old and the floors were slippery my younger daughter falls so many times.
One of the best indoor waterparks in the world! The wave pool is huge, and the slides are incredible — some are fast and thrilling, others more relaxing. The water temperature is perfect, even in winter. Great for families, friends, or anyone who just wants to have a blast! The only thing I missed is the cyclone slide!
World Waterpark at West Edmonton Mall is awesome! The wave pool is huge, and the slides are really fun — from easy ones for kids to intense thrill rides. The park is warm and tropical, and there are lots of places to relax. It can get crowded and pricey, and some extras cost more, but it’s a great day out for families or anyone who likes waterparks
Very big and spacious. Has lots of slides both for kids and adults. Giving this 4 stars because tickets are expensive and lockers are $15 for medium sized which is very shocking. You can also rent tubes which is even more weird.
Went here during Labour Day Weekend. It was understandably very busy. No wait to get in (bought tickets ahead of time). Despite being busy though - the lines for the slides still moved fairly quickly. The facility was clean and well kept. Washrooms were stocked and clean. We rented a Cabana. It was nice and had enough room for all 7 of us in my party. In the cabana, there was comp drinks, a fridge, private washroom and food service. However, found the food service to be quite slow. Had to follow up a couple times to find out where our food was. They also had no triple tubes when we were there - the staff said they were all destroyed. This was disappointing as I had two kids with me who wanted to go on a slide all together.

We visited on a Sunday and the crowd was not bad at all. The IMAX theater was awesome but I recommend sitting near the back because the front was way too close to enjoy the show. Zeidlar Dome is always a hit with the kids. The place is well kept and clean. The staff is always inviting and helpful. We went as a family of 4 so 2 adults and 2 youth costed us $120. I think the cost is worth it for how much there is to do and see there. You could easily spend 4 hours seeing all the exhibits. There is a cute gift shop, classrooms, labs and a small cafeteria to buy food. I recommend bringing your own snacks and eating outside because it's a really nice space in front of the main entrance. I highly recommend this place for a nice afternoon in Edmonton!
We took our grandkids and we/they had a great time. We also watched the fantastic IMAX movie about “Blue Whales”. I’d recommend that you take your children or grandkids for a visit.
I love science. I love experiments, news and updates on scientific advances, and I raise my daughters in this curious, creative atmosphere. So Telus is a fabulous adventure space for us! every room, every interaction, every show, film, we always feel fulfilled. We always leave happier! we interact with everything, we read, and all of this PLAYING! It's absolutely wonderful. We are members, we always come and enjoy everything they launch!
I went to the Ozzfest laser show at the zeidler dome. I have no complaints, tickets are very reasonable. An overall great experience. Shows are about an hour and a half. Its a nice excuse to sit back relax, listen to good tunes and watch a cool laser show. My favorite is when the lasers are passing through the smoke its so hard to describe but its very cool.
We had a fun afternoon checking everything out. It has been over 3 years since we were last here, so it was fun to see what changed. The main exhibit was really interesting, and I have to give praise to Kevin at the space station. He kept it fun and interesting as he explained everything so even the 10 year old was interested and actually sat still for several minutes. All in all a great afternoon for a family adventure.
There are lots of cool interactive things to do, but not all working. Many exhibits broken, even on the new displays. A little disappointing, but the ones that worked were cool. Really enjoyed the IMAX.
I drove up from Calgary to see the Lego Dinosaur exhibit and was not disappointed, truly a one of a kind experience. Highly recommended, don't miss the chance to see it while it's here. Took my time and didn't rush the exhibit, as a Lego enthusiast and dino admirer this felt like it was made for me. Purple Pear was decent, no complaints and happy to have a place to sit and eat in peace within the Science Center.
Always a favorite place for my kids to visit. With new activities in the science garage, new show and demonstrations, there's always something interesting to see. But even the standard exhibits keep my kids interested every time we go.

What a beautiful place!! It was amazing! I enjoyed all four pyramids. So, clean, peaceful and well put together. I was very relaxed and it was very Zen like to be there. I sat in the Arid room on the comfortable chair at the entrance and felt like I was transported away. They have done a wonderful job. The flowers and grounds outside are beautiful and full of flowers everywhere!
Such a beautiful place!!! There are 4 pyramids with different plants in them! The pyramids themselves aren't huge, however there are a ton of plants in each!! I was a little sad there wasn't any butterflies however it was still worth the trip!! The parking is free, however you do have to register your plate when you go in. There are benches in the pyramids to sit and relax. There is also a cute coffee shop with tons of seating. They also have seating outside which is really nice also!! Would definitely go again :)
Some days we forget that beautiful things don’t need words. Take a moment to enjoy nature. The air is different in there somehow, take a sit and breathe and if possible ‘exhale’. Plan to figure out a way to can the fresh air. Wanted to buy a plant by I remember that plants also need love, hopefully when I come another the next time I am brave enough and love sufficient to buy one. Also, met some classy ladies and gentleman today. They all seemed so full of life and still at the same time, I took notes.
A great place to relax and get inspired! The Botanical Garden impresses with its variety of plants and flowers, well-groomed territory and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for a walk in nature, taking photos or just a pleasant day with the family. There is also a wonderful cafe, where you can buy flowers and souvenirs. There is free parking for visitors, which can be reserved for a maximum of 6 hours.
We’ve been visiting the Muttart Conservatory for many years — sometimes just the two of us, other times with guests from out of town — and every visit continues to impress. It’s one of those rare places that immediately makes you feel relaxed and at peace the moment you walk in. The striking glass-pyramid architecture is beautiful from the outside, and once inside, you’re surrounded by lush greenery and carefully curated biomes. The Conservatory houses hundreds of plant species across four distinct pyramids — Tropical, Arid, Temperate, and a rotating Feature display that changes with the seasons. Each one offers its own unique atmosphere, scents, and colors that invite you to slow down and simply take it all in. Another thoughtful touch is the free parking right outside, which makes the visit even more enjoyable and stress-free. Inside, the attention to design and detail is remarkable — from the art-inspired entrance and courtyard to the ever-changing seasonal displays. Everything here reflects a deep care for both the plants and the visitor experience. The Muttart Conservatory has become one of our go-to places whenever we need a moment of calm or want to share something truly special with friends. It’s a perfect blend of nature, art, and tranquility — a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city.
A must visit conservatory museum, and I was thoroughly impressed! The ample parking space made it easy to park, and the building's exterior already hinted at the beauty within. Upon entering, I was struck by the neat and well-maintained interiors. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pyramid biomes were fascinating, showcasing a stunning array of plants from around the world. The café was a highlight, offering delicious refreshments and a cozy atmosphere. But what truly stole the show was the beautifully planted floor garden at the entrance to the museum.A small souvenir shop is also present that has good collectables. I highly recommend this plant conservatory museum to anyone who loves nature, botany, or just needs a peaceful retreat.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Fleur de Villes display. Absolutely stunning displays. It was a curated event displaying 15 florists from Edmonton. Such wonderful talented individuals we have. We enjoyed wandering through all the pyramids and want to go it more often. In December there is usually a Christmas poinsettia display in the show pavilion.
I have a membership and visit often! This bonsai exhibit was excellent. Often I am impressed by the care and beauty. Love coming in the winter to get some nature time in!!

Perfect night out for a unique date night, a family celebration, or simply a treat for yourself I recently attended a concert at the Winspear Centre, and it was a fantastic experience! The venue itself is a true gem in Edmonton, offering great acoustics and a wonderful atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was the phenomenal performance by the pianist playing Franz Liszt. Each visit to the Winspear Centre has been a memorable one, and this was no exception. Highly recommend I checking out anny event to anyone looking to enjoy top-notch performances in a beautiful setting.
Our daughter had her university graduation here. We liked the building and the seating was comfortable. The sound was great as well. The lobby is very spacious. Room for lots of people and a few stands like photo booths and tables to sell university shirts/hoodies and other things. Liked that it was across the street from Churchill Square for photos. I noticed it was pretty well set up for wheelchair/walker access.
A pretty reasonable performance theater for the city of Edmonton. The venue of course sells over priced items, otherwise very clean and professionally managed. Acoustic is also good, although they can use a bigger screen above the stage.
A place that fills you with joy, culture and life! Everyone should definitely buy a ticket and enjoy this sound of music. Also, this place means a lot to me because here my boyfriend (now my husband)аsked me to marry him. The team that works here helped him and it was the best day of my life!!! I thank everyone who works here and brings musical colors to this world!
Amazing place to be in, fair warning to whoever sits in the Gallery though: the acoustics are very good, so if you think private conversations won't be heard you'd be very wrong. Sigur Rós and the Edmonton Symphony was unforgettable.
I attended the symphony concert in your theatre on Saturday, May 31. It’s a mistake even to came here to this winspear area. While sitting on my place, An audience member made racial remarks towards me saying “You must be doing extremely acceptable to ‘sit with us”?? and giving a racist look”! & when I asked the person what do you mean, he came with the angry look saying don’t bother. Later when I advised the staff of the situation they tried to get me to move my seat rather than address the person who made the remarks. Later again I have to went back to the Person l, so than the staff came and try to act to do something. The guy was just sitting around and happily enjoying while making the racist remark. Staff members who are dealing with the public rather than telling the racist person to leave instead they are telling me to change the seat or leave the show. I have the-full video which I will upload it everywhere. The whole experience is extremely embarrassing and horrible. It’s show the Winspear supports racist behaviour of the people towards people of colours.
What an unforgettable evening at Winspear Centre with Zakir Khan! The venue itself was perfect — comfortable seating, amazing acoustics, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Zakir had the entire audience hooked from start to finish with his signature blend of wit, charm, and heartfelt storytelling. His ability to connect with the crowd made the show feel personal, like we were all part of his extended family. The Winspear staff were professional and organized, making entry and exit smooth despite the huge crowd. Overall, a fantastic combination: a world-class comedian in a world-class venue. Can’t wait for the next time Zakir Khan is back in town!
World-class venue. Great sound. They are working hard to bring families and everyone to music and downtown.

We visited this place and everything was amazing. There was a 10-minute film about Alberta — it was excellent and completely free. The guided tour lasted about an hour and was very informative. The entire experience was well-organized and enjoyable. Best of all, it was completely free to attend. I highly recommend visiting — it’s definitely worth it. The visit was excellent, with a committed tour guide. We had enough time inside to be able to take as many pictures as we wanted. A must do in Edmonton. The grounds are very safe. I needed a cab at the time and did not have any cell network for some reason, I asked for some help to the policeman at the grounds entrance, he called it for us straight away, so kind ! Canada in a nutshell.
The grounds and area are well kept, contain many monuments and historical information signs and are very pedestrian friendly with public washrooms available in places. Sadly, access to Legislature itself is by an ugly side door and at very few hours. A reflection of the government itself. The red tape reduction was a recent positive step. Looking around these grounds and then the city and province you see a contrast of clean and well kept to a very unkempt province. Both getting more and more inaccessible as the Alberta Advantage disappears to pay as you go premiums and hyper inflation. Distance to market used to mean an advantage. Being beside the gateway to the North and being the hub of trade for the region has brought prosperity for a few long term provincial residents. The rest have become taxpayers, private rate payers and eventually poorer overall. While once amazing public institutions are sold at losses to private entities that somehow still get public money and still are monopolies. If your beside the power and resource generation, suffer the immediate fallout and mismanagement, and then pay upwards of 800% more then customers down the line then other provinces or countries. Something is very wrong. Like how access to here is off to a side door and limited. So is the advantage for most at the current moment.
Such an incredible building and grounds; 100% worth a visit! I was amazed by the nice features around the building, like the giant pool in front of the entrance that people can walk around in. At 6 pm the bells sounded, and then they kept up a joyful tune for at least 5 minutes! The grounds are kept extremely clean and tidy, it is clear everything is meticulously cared for. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Edmonton and have an interest in government!
Beautiful gardens and splash park to explore. Go early! Enjoy the quietness before the crowds show up. Going downstairs in the corridors they have a lego version of the legislature building. Well detailed and fun!
Take a tour of this iconic building overlooking the North Saskatchewan River. The Alberta Legislature stands as a symbol of the province’s values and integrity. Built from local sandstone, its interior is finished with marble from Quebec—a bit of irony, considering the independent spirit both provinces are known for. As a working government building, it’s a great place to learn about Alberta’s political history. While you’re there, enjoy the beautiful grounds, fountains, and surrounding parkland.
Excellent tour of a historically important building. Special thanks to the guide, the story was interesting and the time flew by. But it was nice to visit such a majestic building.
The Alberta Legislature Building is a stunning spot that perfectly blends history, architecture, and scenic beauty. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and walking around gives you a real sense of grandeur and elegance. The views are incredible, whether you’re admiring the building itself or taking in the surrounding cityscape and greenery. It’s a peaceful, inspiring place to stroll, snap photos, or just enjoy a moment of calm in the heart of Edmonton🏛️

Space-themed amusement park in the West Edmonton Mall with a variety of rides & games.
Slide 1 of 8
As a family that’s big on gaming and competition, visiting Galaxyland powered by Hasbro was an absolute treat for us. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how immersive and interactive the entire park is. The space is bright, fun, and full of activities that cater to every age, making it perfect for families like ours who thrive on friendly competition. My son was especially thrilled — he could have spent the entire day exploring all the rides and attractions. The blend of classic amusement park fun with Hasbro’s game-inspired themes was a hit. We loved how the games and rides encouraged teamwork as well as some healthy rivalry, which made our family outing even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to guide us through the rides or explain the gaming challenges, which made everything run smoothly. Safety measures were clearly a priority, giving us peace of mind while letting the kids (and adults!) enjoy themselves fully. Overall, Galaxyland is more than just an amusement park — it’s a dynamic, playful environment where families can bond over games, rides, and fun competitions. My son had an absolute blast, and we all left with big smiles and plans to return. A must-visit spot for families who love gaming, excitement, and making memories together.
Galaxyland has some fun and unique rides! The rides at Galaxyland are fun and unique. Barrel of Monkeys was okay, but it was too long. Galaxy orbiter was a blast (Rode it twice). Trouble twist was so fun. Quirks in the works had something unexpected (SPOILER: It spins). Space Shot was intense (Though you can find taller installations around the world. Including 3 that used to exist at Marineland in Niagara Falls). Cootie coaster was okay, but it was too rattly (I do prefer Yeti Trek at Santa's Village). I also went on Rainbow bounce and almost HAVOC (For the latter, it broke down). Good news, I've got coaster credits #47 and #48! And also my first credits that I had to get to by airplane! Also, can't wait to come back for the new attraction!
We visited Galaxyland at West Edmonton Mall for a company special event, and it was a great experience! We didn’t have to wait long to get on the rides, which was awesome. The best rides for us were Havoc and Galaxy Orbiter — definitely thrilling! Haha. The only downside was that a few rides were closed for renovation (or maybe other reasons), which was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, it was a fun and memorable visit.
Such a fun indoor amusement park! Tons of rides for all ages, from thrilling roller coasters to gentle rides for kids. Everything feels clean and well-maintained, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect place to spend a few hours of non-stop fun — rain or shine!
GALAXYLAND West Edmonton Mall. Lots of rides the whole fam Jam will find fun! Great for a day away from the regular grind. Plan to spend $45 per person to get in as the value compared to buying single tickets is significant! We attended during the weekday and we're glad we did as lineups were almost non-existent and running up to a ride and jumping on and having fun was almost instant! However I did notice signs that were turned around that said much like disneyland, from this sign there is a 1 hour wait plan accordingly! So it is clear that this place can get very very busy! We have been here dozens of times and are back again, great when family from out of town comes to visit. Guaranteed to put a smile on their face, add a dent in their wallet, LOL This place has been here for many years and is starting to show its age. 90% of the rides were open and operational and people were taking shifts on and off according to popularity.

I would say it’s pricey but it’s definitely worth it, as most places the lines can get up to around an hour or more wait but with fantasyland/galaxyland I can guarantee you it won’t be that busy. I say that because the longest line I saw was up to an hour meanwhile it was a long weekend so you can definitely see the lines won’t be that long especially for a long weekend like I just mentioned. The overall amount of rides for children and adults was pretty fair, most children rides were under Hasbro related names. Personally I enjoyed majority of the rides I went on, my favourite being the space shot which launches you at least 100ft into the air where you then drop down at a pretty fast speed. Galaxy land also offers many food vendors along with a food court next door. I spent a solid 7 hours here before eventually leaving at closing time (6pm). Although the mindbender sadly has been demolished, Galaxy land still feels like a perfect theme park to visit with many rides to try and enjoy. -I visited on a Saturday.
So much fun for a family of all ages! Friendly and courteous staff. A great family friendly environment.

Large, forested park featuring a refuge for bison, elk & many birds, plus campsites & picnic spots.
Slide 1 of 8
We visited in mid September and were greeted to hundreds of bison minutes entering the park. We spotted them in the bison loop, it was genuinely really terrifying being surrounded by them, but also really amazing and I know we were super lucky to have this experience. We even saw a heard on the side of the Hwy outside of the park!
Elk Island National Park is a fantastic getaway just outside the city! The park offers beautiful lakes, perfect for canoeing and spotting wildlife. The trails are well-maintained and cater to all levels of hikers. We especially enjoyed the peaceful scenery around Astotin Lake, and the chance to see bison up close was amazing! Whether you're into bird watching, hiking, or simply relaxing by the water, this park has something for everyone. Highly recommend for a day trip or a weekend escape!
Just got back from Elk Island. This is a beautiful serene park perfect for when you are ready to disconnect. I was able to see some Bison as they were everywhere. They have lots of trails and serene views with multiple lakes. You will have to buy a pass. While they have no restaurants in the park you can get refreshments and gas in the nearby town of Lamont. Will be coming back here to try out their camping grounds.
One of the most underrated national parks! I had an incredible experience as the scenery here is incredible and you get to see plenty of wildlife while driving around! Make sure to visit during sunrise or sunset to see the bisons along the road or on the bison loop trail! Completely recommend visiting while in Edmonton!
Elk Island National Park was high on my list of places to visit on a recent trip to Alberta as I was staying nearby. Although I didn't have a lot of time to spend at the park, it did not disappoint. Seeing bison on the loop drive as well as along the road as we drove through made it all worth it. It is a lovely, scenic park and is really nice to drive through. I stopped at Astorin Lake and did the Living Waters Boardwalk trail which was easy and very nice and I also did a small portion of the Beaver Pond trail which was very peaceful. I would love to spend more time here and explore the park more.
Beautiful area and wildlife encounters may be guaranteed. We went in December and for the first 30 minutes we didn't see anything. Maybe beauce of snow, maybe because of cold. But then all of a sudden we saw a few bisons, one was right by the road eating. I took many pictures of him - keeping a safe distance. Later we saw an owl - funny! Highly recommended but be patient.
Just returned from a scenic drive through Elk Island National Park and it was an absolute delight! The highlight of our trip was spotting a majestic bison herd grazing along the roadside - what a great experience! We also enjoyed the picturesque picnic areas, perfect for a relaxing break amidst nature's splendor. The park's rolling hills, lakes, and forests offer a serene backdrop for a leisurely drive. A must-visit for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a tranquil escape from the city. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife on the roads - it's a truly unforgettable experience!
Beautiful and memorable experience at the Elk Island National Park. I would recommend families to visit earlier in the day as there are more animals that you can spot on the way! You must purchase tickets to enter the park. There is a nice area made for family picnics just by the lake. Had a great time with my family!

A unique two-level bridge where the lower deck is for cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, while the upper deck is reserved for the old streetcar. The bridge offers stunning views of the Downtown skyline and the North Saskatchewan River. At night, it’s beautifully lit, creating charming light effects. However, traffic on the bridge is slow due to its age and narrow design. Riding the streetcar across is an amazing experience—thrilling and just a bit daring.
Back in my day when I lived here in Edmonton, I would cross this bridge often from downtown to the Whyte Ave area where I lived. It’s convenient and very scenic if you have the patience because it can be a long walk across. Of course you need to be cautious of the cyclists barreling down and you have to put up with the traffic on the bridge but overall it’s a nice experience crossing it. 👍😎
A defining landmark of Edmonton, the High Level Bridge spans the North Saskatchewan River, connecting downtown with Old Strathcona. Completed in 1913, this historic steel-truss bridge was originally designed for trains, streetcars, vehicles, and pedestrians, making it one of the most versatile crossings of its time. Today, it remains a vital link, offering stunning river valley views for walkers and cyclists. At night, the bridge comes to life with colorful LED lights, creating a striking visual display that celebrates city events and holidays. A symbol of Edmonton’s history and engineering, the High Level Bridge remains an iconic part of the city’s skyline.
The views from this place are magnificent. An unforgettable walk with a view of the river and the city.
Really nice landmark to have here and visit in the city of Edmonton. Incredibly beautiful and scenic views to be seen here and makes for a very nice walk but it can be a bit noisy with the cars going by.
as a pedestrian on this bridge i truly believe that lime scooters should not be allowed in tight spaces like this. i hate lime scooters anyway but i was simply trying to have a peaceful stroll on a bridge something that i do fairly often. however, this bridge was riddled with scooterers. it made the experience quite stressful and i unenjoyable. this is not the fault of the bridge however so i will still give it 4 stars.
Road the High Level bridge train car, was so cool beautiful views and fresh air.
A nice place with a great view. It has pedestrian and bike zones. It offers a wonderful view of downtown.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Edmonton Valley Zoo! There were so many amazing exhibits to explore, from the playful red pandas to the goats on the roof, the beautiful harbour seals, and so many other fascinating animals. One highlight was the zookeeper presentation on snakes and lizards—she was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience fun and educational. The animal displays throughout the zoo were very informative and easy to follow, making it a great place to learn as well as enjoy the sights. The food area was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a quick break, and the staff all around the zoo were friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about their work. They also have a train that goes through the zoo. There was always something new to see and enjoy, and I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic visit, and I would highly recommend the Edmonton Valley Zoo to families, animal lovers, or anyone looking for a fun and memorable day out!
Visited the Edmonton Valley Zoo with family and had a really enjoyable time! The zoo is well-kept, easy to navigate, and offers a good mix of animals, especially considering its smaller size. The highlights for us were the red pandas, seals, and the newly updated sections like the Arctic Shores exhibit. It’s clear they’re making efforts to modernize and improve animal habitats. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we appreciated the educational signage throughout. It's definitely a great place for families with young kids – lots of interactive displays and a mini train ride that's always a hit. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that some areas still feel a bit dated, and the food options were pretty limited during our visit. A few more shaded seating areas would also be nice on hot days. Overall, a great way to spend a few hours in Edmonton. Would definitely go back, especially as more updates are completed!
I visited the zoo yesterday with my granddaughter, and it was such a heartwarming experience. It brought back so many beautiful memories of when I used to take my own children there—hard to believe it’s been 25 years, and now I’m sharing it with my grandkids. The zoo has grown so much since then, and it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s well-kept, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. I especially appreciated how much shade there is along the paths—perfect for little ones (and grandparents!) on a warm day. It was a lovely visit filled with nostalgia and new memories. Can’t wait to come back again with the rest of the grandkids.
Great zoo it had -Great programs -good food -clean -great mission and animal programs - lots of we’ll taken care of animals - enough seating and shade spots -lots of areas for kids to play -good shop -great disability access and programs -staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all a great zoo, the only thing I have to say is pay attention to the weather cause if its really hot not all animals wanna be out. When I went it was hot and didn’t get to see 3 animals I wanted to see but most were out.
Went to the zoo and there was a ton of parking which is nice! We didn't get to see all the animals but we did get to see a decent amount! The park itself wasn't busy which was also nice :) Overall, the price isn't bad at all for the size of zoo that it is :) I would definitely go back again :)
They get the biggest five star I can give. The zookeepers and staff are super kind and approachable, and I got to learn a lot of interesting things while I was there. It feels so open and inviting. I grew up in Calgary and yes it's bigger. But the experience is way different. I honestly don't think Calgary can compare. The prices at the Edmonton valley zoo are amazing. The animals are pretty out going and it's super cool. I wish there was more I could do to help them expand more. I don't have a lot of money I can give but whenever I come to Edmonton I'm gonna make time for an incredible trip to the zoo. Just a few pictures I took while I was there. They're animals have a lot of personality:3
Had a great time at the Edmonton Zoo! The Zoo is very well kept, clean and landscaping was nice. Total walk time to see everything was around 2 hours or so… I would have given them 5 stars if they had more animals.
Great family friendly environment, they allow you to bring your own food and drinks, they have many concessions as well. Only thing was we went on a hot summer day and alot of the felines were hiding. So best to go in winter a worker said. Otherwise the kids and I had a great time.

Huge park that hosts tons of different festivals. We enjoyed Heritage Days this past weekend and had a fantastic time. The weather was great and the different "countries" we visited were great! Music, food, beautiful costumes abounded. Looking forward to our next festival!
I love hawrelak park. Beauty in the middle of the city. Paddle boots available to rent. Picnic sites can be reserved although some sites have trash after weekend parties. Generally very clean though. Fountain in the middle of man made lake is cool. Lot of shade from trees for any hot day.
I loved the sculptures made in the park, there’s always something new in here, every season has its own colour. Ice skating for kids and adults, jogging and biking and walking can do many things in winters Spring is here and park is so very busy on weekends, all benches and all the bbq were occupied, Parking lots we’re almost full.
Lots of geese , a few sea gulls and some different types of ducks.A very scenic and beautiful place.Lots of greenery . A good amount of bench and a few big rocks to take amazing photos on. If you go in the right season you will see a-lot of baby ducks and geese. Lots of biking and skating space. Lots of beautiful trails sometimes they get crowded. We think its one of the best parks in Edmonton.
1.2-mile loop trail inside Edmonton, Alberta. Generally considered one of beautiful parks routes, it takes an average of 30 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day
Great recreational area right in the heart of the city. Wish you could swim in the lake in the summer but skating on the lake makes up for it in the winter. It hosts varies events during the year. It's a prime piece of land. If the city would add a beach area, it would make the property more desirable. it's still a great place to get away and have a bbq with friends without having to leave the city to get that camping vibe.
This iconic park named after a past mayor of our city , here you can enjoy all 4 seasons ,my favorite is fall , biking , hiking trails are spectacular, grounds well maintained spectacular views of the river and downtown, home to so many special events, just wish the city would invest in bird proof garbage cans !! Fantastic family park !!
Beautiful park, surprisingly bigger than it looks! We were here yesterday for the Heritage Festival and were impressed with how big this park was, it seemed like it went on and on! The gardens and Lake are beautiful and it was spotless, even for a food festival. It seems like there's spaces for a BBQ and a shelter in case it rains. We'd love to visit again!

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a fantastic destination that offers a unique and enriching experience. We had the opportunity to visit during the Victims of the Holocaust exhibition, which was deeply moving, as well as the Build Black Civilizations exhibit, showcasing incredible structures created with black Lego bricks. Both exhibitions were thought-provoking and beautifully presented. The gallery spans multiple floors, with the third floor housing additional captivating displays. The main floor features a charming shop with unique finds, perfect for art enthusiasts. Tickets are reasonably priced, making it an accessible and worthwhile outing. The gallery itself is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by great amenities, including a variety of restaurants, bars, and a lovely park nearby. It’s a wonderful spot to spend your time, whether you’re exploring the exhibits, enjoying the area, or simply soaking up the creative atmosphere. Highly recommended!
So lucky to be living in Edmonton and having access to this gallery. The fact that the last Thursday of every month is free is an added bonus. There’s always something interesting in each exhibit, though some are weaker than others but I’m always left inspired when I visit the gallery. There is construction in the area but finding parking nearby has never really been an issue.
A Must-Visit for Art Lovers in Edmonton! I had an amazing time at the Art Gallery of Alberta! The architecture alone is stunning, and stepping inside felt like entering a world of creativity and inspiration. The exhibitions were diverse, thought-provoking, and beautifully curated. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe was both relaxing and engaging. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the city, this place is a gem that celebrates both contemporary and historical art. Definitely worth the visit—and perfect for a little artsy photo shoot outside too! 😊🎨✨
The Art Gallery of Alberta is a great place to visit, especially if you’re a student—admission is free, so it’s worth taking advantage of that. The space itself is well-designed, and the exhibitions are always interesting, with a good mix of contemporary and historical art. I try to go twice a year, and there’s always something new to see. Even if you’re not deeply into art, it’s a nice place to explore and take in different styles and perspectives. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, making it a good spot to step away from the usual routine. I don’t have many clear photos from my visits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you’re in Edmonton, it’s a solid option for an afternoon out, and the free student admission makes it even better.
It is a great Modern Art gallery and it has definitely an impressive architectural design of the building. The variety of the pieces and themes is interesting and intriguing. The total amount of exposition halls inside was a bit smaller than expected and the total visit including buying the tickets and the lovely gift shop with local crafts took about two hours. Definitely a good visit if you love to combine a few activities in one day, but for me it was a bit too short.
I visited the Royal Alberta Museum a few days ago with my husband, and we absolutely loved it. The experience was both educational and visually stunning. We saw so many fascinating exhibits and beautiful art pieces—it was hard not to take tons of pictures! The architecture of the museum is truly something to admire. It’s modern, elegant, and incredibly well thought out. You can tell a lot of effort and creativity went into designing the space—it honestly feels like they outdid themselves. Every corner was picture-perfect and added to the overall vibe of the visit. If you’re ever in Edmonton, I highly recommend stopping by. Whether you’re into history, culture, or just looking for a unique day out, RAM delivers on all fronts. We had such a good time and left feeling inspired and impressed!
Great place to visit after the Royal Edmonton Museum. There is a Picasso exhibition which I love. My kids enjoyed kids session.
Excellent art space. The architecture of the building itself is also attractive. Many halls with various expositions and exhibitions. Friendly staff, the premises are spacious and clean. There is a souvenir shop on the first floor.

This new arena wasn’t even thought of yet when I used to live in Edmonton way way back. Upon revisiting I went to take a look and I was impressed. I never did see the rink itself because it was during the offseason but it was still a treat to walk the interior and outside surrounding area. Well done. 👍😎
Caught an Oilers game at Rogers Place and had a fantastic time. The concourses are bright and clean, staff were friendly, and security moved quickly so we were in our seats before puck drop. Sightlines are excellent from anywhere and the scoreboard and sound make the atmosphere electric. Food and drinks are tasty but on the pricey side, which is the only knock. Transit access and post-game crowd flow were smooth. I will be back.
Very nicely built with great views. Very expensive to enjoy fully. We enjoyed attending an Oilers Rookie Game recently. Entry for this event was inexpensive with general seating available meaning we could tryout alm the various seating options in the arena. We did sample the alcoholic, non-alcoholic and food options. These were good but extremely expensive. As the event we attended was not an at capacity event we did not face significant line ups including for entry, bathroom use or concession stands.
Was there for the 2025 game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Had a great experience, and fans were awesome. Great atmosphere and everything was very organized.
Other Bands take notice! This is how to utilize the video backdrop if you want your fans to be able to enjoy the band fully and immerse them in your image. Way to go "Creed" for doing this "larger than life" experience and "one up" all others before you.
Great event for families and there are food and snacks bars so you don't go hungry. Easy to find your seats. We were there for the Canadian Finals Rodeo and it was a great show.
I've been to 2 concerts here so far and I definitely have a few words. First of all, the seats are SO squishy, barely any leg room. If you need the bathroom during the show be prepared to make your whole row stand up. And everyone is usually sitting down because standing is risky on those steep stands. But on the other hand. The sound is great! Even in the nosebleeds you can clearly hear the artist. This place would definitely be 5 stars if the seats were roomier. It isn't TOO difficult to find parking within walking distance too. There's a train station right outside the venue if that's ur thing.
Always love concerts and games at this spot. Changed Edmonton and its downtown for the better

Infamous museums. How can one be more interesting than other? It was Orcas on display. Heartbreaking to see how humans treat animals for profit. Amazing Haida display, movie and tons of informative content on these beautiful creatures. The rest of the museum has year round exhibits. Great way to learn about the history of our country. I wish that museum had longer hours on weekends because it’s not enough time to see everything. Gift shop was well equipped, as well as the coffee shop. It was really busy considering that Taste of Edmonton was happening just a few blocks away.
Visit: April 2025 Great museum with a couple of different exhibits. Went to the bug exhibit and the rock/gem and animal exhibit, and a bit of the humanity exhibit Everything was really clean and pristine and there was a lot to see and explore. It was also really quiet when we went (Thursday evening). I also found it really cute that they made pizza and hamburger shaped foods for the insects to eat It was sad that some of the displays were broken or things were missing, and I wish there were some more exhibits, but overall it was a nice adventure.
Had a great day exploring the RAM. Went for the Orca exhibit and ended up staying for the whole day. Kids really enjoyed it and found it very interesting. They said the insects were their favorite. I think you'll be able to tell what mine was from the pictures. We spent a decent amount of time in each hall or gallery and still didn't read / experience all there was. We went on a Saturday and I was a little worried it would be overcrowded but there was lots of room in each area. We did not feel crowded or rushed at all. We will definitely be going back to explore more.
Wonderful must visit place if you’re in Edmonton. Lots of things to learn and experience. Cleanliness is amazing. It’s a heaven for the kids to spend time there. I liked the souvenir/gift shop. Recommend to everyone and it’s worth the money.
A nice museum in Edmonton! It's my first time here and the staff at the counter was nice and gave the information to me with a friendly vibe. The ticket is $21 per person (after GST) If you buy a family or annual ticket will be cheaper, for more than 2 people or 2 times of visit. There are historical sections, animal sections, insect sections, gem zones, kids zones, and temporary zones that change every year. 2-3 hours should be enough if you're not reading for every detail on board. They close every Monday, except on public holidays. Nice and recommend 👌
Not just history this place has something for everyone!! Live fish and bugs, dinosaurs to colonialism there is a lot to take in. Yearly pass only $35 two visits pays for itself!!love love loved it!
The exhibits and such were nice, but I felt it was pretty over priced. I know $20.00 isn't a lot to some people. But I feel like if they had more to their museum maybe I would be ok with it. Not to mention the lack of parking when I went. (August 2025) I saw the orca exhibit, it was cool I like the first half. Only because the second half was like "garbage in the ocean bad, orcas in water parks. Mixed feelings." I would have liked for it to be a bit more educational I guess. If that makes sense. But cool none the less. Just a couple pictures to add I spent maybe two hours in the museum in total and most things I saw were interesting. But I didn't feel like I really learnt anything knew wither
Great place for the family, lots of information and they have rotating exhibits. It’s worth checking out.
