Breakfast restaurant
Tiramisu Bistro is a vibrant and casual Italian eatery that brings a delightful twist to classic dishes. Renowned for its mouthwatering pasta, pizza, and sandwiches, this charming spot also boasts an impressive brunch menu that will tantalize your taste buds. Indulge in their creative benedicts like Salmon Benny or Avocado Benny, or savor hearty brunch bowls such as Smoked Brisket Hash and Scallop Cremini Mushroom Hash.
Went here for an anniversary dinner last weekend and really enjoyed. We were lucky enough to snag the outdoor dome on a warm evening. The server was friendly and attentive and the food was well portioned and delicious. Had to have the raspberry chocolate tort after. Will definitely come back!
H.G. P — Google review
One of my favourite brunch spots in Edmonton for sure! Our table ordered the fried chicken waffle, calamari hash, and ricotta blueberry pancakes. Portions are super generous and everything was delicious. My fave dish here is definitely the chicken waffle—though I actually preferred the pulled chicken waffle I had on an earlier visit. The flavours and spices were next level compared to the fried chicken waffle I had today. The calamari hash was amazing (wish it had a little more hollandaise), and the ricotta pancakes were soft and not overly sweet, though I have had even better ricotta blueberry pancakes elsewhere.
Anjalee W — Google review
The food is anywhere between okay to great, the service is absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is surreal and beautiful. My only complaint is that the food is sometimes a little lacking in flavor and would benefit from dialing in. But my god that bakery is so cool, and the general vibes are so much fun. Very busy place, for good reason.
Cass C — Google review
Food: Taste good, looks good and big portion. Coffee taste terrible. My latte milk is enough but the espresso extraction time is too long. Way too bitter taste like Turkish coffee with milk instead of latte. Service: Just okay. They are attentive but once you finish your plate they come to clear it right away, feels rush and shouldn’t be like that. Atmosphere: Because of the rush service I don’t feel relax dining in this cafe. Overall food quality is good but service and atmosphere could be improved. Parking: street parking available for 2 hr for free Monday to Sat. Limited space
Matthew K — Google review
Has definitely gone through a decor renovation since we were here last 4 years ago. Beautiful place and very busy for weekend brunch. Service was attentive. Food tasted great.
Lormirra J — Google review
Overall an okay experience. We made a reservation for the dome seating outside, thankfully, because it was VERY loud inside the restaurant. The service was quick, but not exceptional. The Tiramisu latte was wonderful, my favorite part. The iced coffee was fine, but small in portion. The Cinnamon Bun French Toast was pretty and textural nice, but honestly underwhelming in flavour. It tasted like bread and raspberry sauce with only a hint of cinnamon. The Breakfast Burger was beautiful, but the burger and (especially) the potatoes were so salty it was a fight to eat more than half. I was so excited to come here, as it was my first time, but unfortunately I don't think I will be returning.
Kalyna R — Google review
Loved our visit to Tiramisu Bistro! The tiramisu cake and tiramisu ice latte were amazing, and the Calabrese coffee was delicious. Great pastries, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Nima K — Google review
This was my the first time going to Tiramisu and it was wonderful! We requested a dome and it was a fun experience, the only thing I would suggest is going when it's getting darker outside so you can enjoy the cute lights setup inside the dome. After arriving and being seated, there was a wasp inside the dome so we asked for help with that, and the young man was able to rescue the wasp and release him outside. We went on a Saturday around 3pm, and across the street a band played some live music which was a welcomed suprise. Great food and friendly/helpful service, I would absolutely suggest going here!

Bistro
Located in Edmonton's Garneau neighborhood, Sugarbowl is a popular eatery and bar known for its craft beers, bistro meals, and weekend brunch. Originally established as a burger joint in the 1940s, it has evolved into a full-service bistro and pub with a retro western-style interior. A must-try dish is their signature Chicken and Waffles - featuring fried chicken breasts on top of a waffle with watermelon salsa and maple butter.
Really nice food and atmosphere! Best place I ate at! Spent my birthday here and Jen was a great server! Really made my birthday! All the servers here are nice and they read minds. Thank you!! (Also music taste was great too!)

Fun birthday dinner! Lots of energy here on a Friday afternoon. Good happy hour! Yummy food (apricot cheesecake!). The only suggestion: improve the white sangria with a mix of fruit/juices... tasted like a mimosa which was good but not sangria-ish. Exceptional service!
Veronica E — Google review
Cute breakfast spot, very busy and lively. Service was good nothing too special, food was great. Got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was delicious, the watermelon was also surprisingly very nice with it as well. Iced americano was not good at all but that’s okay… Would definitely come back tho!
S C — Google review
A local gem, service and food both on par! It’s cheap, affordable and delicious. I ordered bison chili and paired it with a Merlot wine. My boyfriend had Mac and cheese and an ipa beer both were amazing!
Chewy — Google review
Very popular spot for brunch or patio drinks. Can be tough to get a table, especially for groups. Service is attentive, fast, and friendly. They have an excellent selection of drinks and a great patio on which to enjoy them. On this occasion I got the spicy burger with fries, and a polyrhythm brown ale. Beer was well poured and perfect temp. Burger was just ok. Fries were cooked perfectly. I found the brioche bun excessively greasy on the outside and the burger patty too thick and juicy for a brioche bun in general. The bun couldn’t stand up. Also, this is just preference, the patty is heavily spiced, which isn’t my thing. Lastly, I like the burger to be a bit charred on the outside and this one just wasn’t. Almost as if the grill wasn’t quite up to temp. Overall, great spot for a drink and friendly service on a nice day. IMO, not a go-to for burgers.
Josh M — Google review
We bike by here all the time in the summer and this place is always busy, so we always wondered what it was like. Yesterday we stopped in for brunch (on a Monday) and we both had the special, the breakfast burrito 🌯. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent. All the other food that came out as well looked delicious and well prepared. I do see reviews saying that sometimes there's a wait time. I believe if you have to wait a bit here it's worth the wait. Our food came out very fresh and hot. Thats what I would expect. Definitely will be stopping in again. We also heard the cinnamon bun was really good. They were sold out so we went to the coffee shop upstairs cause they have the same ones. It was good. Don't expect it to be a typical cinnamon bun cause its not. I would say don't expect them to be the best you've had.
Yvan D — Google review
Thank you for the lovely afternoon. There are such #goodvibes at this restaurant. My Sangria🍷 was delicious - not too sweet and, exactly how I like it. As usual, the BANANA 🍌 cream pie was the da bomb 💣 Thank you and see you soon 🔜
Katmay Q — Google review
Delicious brunch! Portions are large and prices are fair. Service is friendly and it was fairly busy on the Sunday morning we went. The wait was around 15-20 minutes. The chicken and waffles were very good. I got the syrup on the side instead of directly poured on . The waffles are not too sweet and the chicken breading is not too thick-- it was perfect :-) The breakfast sandwich and wrap also looked delicious. The cinnamon bun truly was excellent and it is quite large and fluffy. Excellent place for dates and small groups! I would come again to try the huevos rancheros!

Been coming here since they opened, so 10+ years, always delicious, friendly and professional staff, lovely, cheerful space, and never a wait in early AMs 👍

Delicious pancakes and very friendly service! :) We got the vegetarian crepe and strawberry and whipped cream crepe. I just wish I got fresh strawberries with my crepe or that they made it clear that the strawberries weren't fresh on the menu :/ Regardless, I look forward to returning

Our first time here. Have been wanting to check it out for years. Great breakfast! Loved the French press coffee and fresh orange juice also! The Stroop syrup for the pancake was yummy! Great experience.

Mediterranean Omelette: Loaded with spinach, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and creamy feta, this omelette is fresh, hearty, and full of flavor—great if you’re craving something light but filling. Dutch Benedicts: A tasty twist on the classic—perfectly poached eggs, savory layers, and rich hollandaise make this a comforting and indulgent brunch pick.
F K — Google review
Had a terrible experience, waited for over 20 minutes before the waitress refilled my coffee then another 20 minutes before I got the box for the food and the bill. The food was average, but I think the terrible service really ruined the experience. Parking QR also did not work and ended up with a parking ticket, making an already over priced meal even more expensive. Update: have sent email as requested, yet to hear back from restaurant.
April T — Google review
All in all great food, really enjoyed my meal i got the Boer's Omelette meal and it was fantastic. Only gripe is i got a french press coffee and it was luke warm at best was stone cold before I made it through the first cup ... but tho cold it was still enjoyable so still gets a 5 star cause i will defintly come again to try more of the dishes.

Pleasant service and excellent food. I recommend the pancakes. I've had ham and eggs and eggs Benny both scrumptious. Comfy booths and lots of space make this place my current favorite.

Little Brick is a charming counter-serve cafe in Edmonton, located in Riverdale. It's a favorite among locals and visitors due to its unassuming yet intriguing location. The cafe offers a cozy atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, including a spacious patio area. Little Brick serves coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and also operates as a general store for basic grocery items.
I had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding at Little Brick Café last year, and it was such a cozy, warm, and beautiful setting—perfect for couples looking for a charming outdoor space. The golden hour light created a truly magical atmosphere, and the photos turned out beautifully. The food was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, making the experience even more memorable. Little Brick is a hidden gem for intimate weddings, and an absolute joy to capture.
Yuki N — Google review
We stopped by Little Brick for a flat white and a chai, and absolutely loved it! The coffee was great, and the chai was warm and comforting. The space itself is incredibly charming, cozy interiors with thoughtful decor, and a relaxed outdoor seating area that adds to the inviting vibe. The atmosphere was energetic but not overwhelming, making it a perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. Since it's close to our neighborhood, this definitely won’t be our last visit. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Nima K — Google review
Such a great find, food was amazing and the service was just as great ❤️ you can tell they are very much about community and I appreciate all the love and talent the chef puts into their food. Every bite was better than the last and you can tell they pick the best quality ingredients (the bacons a dead giveaway) Couldn't get enough 🤤 also wanted to note i love the vibes, very cozy and creative.

I’ve stopped in for coffee and a cookie before and that’s always been great. I remember having a breakfast sandwich years ago but hadn’t been back for food in years until about mid August 2025… and I was sorry to have been away for so long! The ham breakfast sandwich was SO good. No notes. Mimosa? Excellent. Americano? Also great!
Jen S — Google review
Amazing food, with a unique atmosphere. We had the Eggs Benedict, with amazing thick cutt bacon! Gridsle stack, a homemade sausage round and sweet waffle Sandwich. Waffle stack a huge Waffle plate with mixed berries and a dolce syrup with that delicious sausage round on the side. Great presentation and the flavors were spot on.
Wrex E — Google review
Little Brick is my current favourite brunch spot. Staff are so cool and friendly, food is fast and fresh. I love the eggs benny (add bacon) and it’s dog friendly on the patio.

Little Brick is a hidden gem—I'm sure every Riverdale resident knows it well. It's a charming character home converted into a cozy restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, whether you're sitting inside, on the deck, or out in the garden. In the summer, it's the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch, offering a great selection of sandwiches, hot drinks, and more. It's incredibly family-friendly and fits right into the neighborhood vibe. I love this place and will definitely be back.
Nooran O — Google review
We were looking for a pet-friendly café and decided to try this place on Labor Day around lunch. It was packed, so our hopes were high—but the food was a letdown. My wife ordered the breakfast sandwich ($14), which came with a fried egg but was otherwise just a burger bun piled with arugula. I had the eggs benny ($15), but the eggs were soft-boiled instead of poached, served with just tomatoes and hollandaise. The breads weren’t even warm. For the price, it felt really underwhelming. Overall, not impressed and wouldn’t recommend.

Breakfast restaurant
OEB Breakfast Co. in Edmonton is a breakfast paradise that offers a creative and high-quality menu, featuring unique dishes like the Gold Digga breakfast poutine and classic options such as eggs benedict. The restaurant impresses with its use of luxurious ingredients like duck, wild mushrooms, caviar, and truffles to turn breakfast into an art form. With a wide variety of French toast options and trademarked breakfast poutines like Soul in a Bowl, OEB Breakfast Co.
They only allow reserve during the week. So, we waited for almost 30 minutes to get a table by 11:28am. The food I ordered was lobster scramble poutines. It's worthy to have at least once, including lobster and many shrimps. My two friends agreed that this was the best option compared to theirs. The service was nice and efficient. The time restriction was 90 minutes, but it was good enough for us.
Hsin-Hsiu Y — Google review
Quite a surprise in downtown Edmonton. Went in for a breakfast after someone suggested we try this place out. It was within walking distance of our hotel...maybe 5 or 10 minutes. We were promptly created and were sat right away. We went through the menu and were not sure what to get because everything sounded amazing. I settled on the lobster Scramble and my partner had the Montreal Smoaked Meat Benny. It was the best thing I have had in a long time. I will be going out of my way to find another location or return here next time I am in Edmonton.

One of the best brunch places I've tried! Food was delicious and so many options to choose from. Even my picky toddler loved the croissant. It's clean inside and everyone is friendly. We were also lucky to find street parking right outside the restaurant.

🍳 OEB Breakfast Co. – Kelly Ramsey Review 🥐 Visited on a Sunday morning with our group of four — as expected, the place was packed! Pro tip: definitely use Yelp to get on the waitlist about an hour ahead. I checked in early, so even though there was a 45-minute quote, we only waited about 15 once we arrived. ✨ Ambience & Service: The vibe here is great — stylish, lively, and full of energy. Service was friendly and prompt throughout our meal. A solid start with some good coffee and the premium orange juice, which was fresh and flavorful. 🍽️ Food Rundown: • I had the Blue Crab Eggs Benedict — served on a croissant, which was a nice touch. The crab was tasty, but I did get a small bit of shell, and the portion size wasn’t huge. Overall, decent but not amazing. • My wife ordered the French Toast and wasn’t a fan — it had a hint of orange flavor that didn’t quite land for her. Our son finished it off and thought it was okay, just not a standout. • Our son also had the Traditional Eggs Benny (also on a croissant), which he enjoyed. 🥔 Worth Noting: We’ve been to another OEB location before and had their breakfast poutine, which we all preferred over what we had this time around. 👍 Final Thoughts: Still a great brunch spot with a fun atmosphere and solid service. Might just choose different menu items next time. Worth the visit — just plan ahead if you’re coming on the weekend!

Oeb used to be my absolute favorite brunch spot which I chose to splurge on as a broke university student, even after the raise in prices with the pandemic. But the last two years prices have continued to increase while portions have majorly shrunk. Confirmed with the staff that these were properly portioned sides of there potatoes, 17 mostly half size potatoes. Ordered two sides and they both fit in one box with my sauce. Sadly can’t return again.
Rayanne W — Google review
Wow do I love this place. I went on the morning of 20th and got an avocado toast which was amazing, their matcha is also one of the best I've tasted. The place is gorgeous with beautiful mugs and plates. Every single staff that checked on me were all very lovely and happy. I did not see a single frown. I also love how I can see the kitchen and the staff working on the food. The service was excellent, I'll definitely come back here more often.

I always try the Eggs Benedict at any new restaurant and Oeb did not disappoint. I had the Korean Bulgogi Benny and every bite was heaven. Paired with a few of their beyond delicious cocktails, and it was the best brunch I've had in a very, very long time. My dining partner and I have decided it will be our go to place to dine before every play we see at the Citadel Theater (4min walk). Cannot rave enough about the service. Kind, polite, and absolute gems to interact with, and helpful with menu choices.

Barbecue restaurant
MEAT is a modern smokehouse in Canada that offers a wide range of classic BBQ dishes, sides, and drinks. Despite being located outside the traditional BBQ regions, MEAT provides an authentic Texas-style BBQ experience with family-style dining and homemade sauces. The restaurant also offers meat snacks and dishes for at-home gatherings, including a Super Bowl Game Day Feast package.
Talk about a culinary delight! Their menu is designed for sharing, and my hubby and I selected the half beef brisket, half fried chicken thighs, and coleslaw. The array of sauces is remarkable, and the bourbon sauce is my top choice. Smoked food lovers unite, their beef brisket is a must try!

Good spot for a heavy meal! The vibes were great and the staff were super welcoming 💙 I had the pulled pork burger with mac and cheese on the side. Got a little overwhelmed of the texture from the burger—I wish it was juicier and more flavorful even without the sauce. But overall, still a solid meal! I got really full 😮‍💨 It’s a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. Loved the sauces! Hope to try more MEAT
Angel V — Google review
Located off of Whytes Road, this place is serving up some delicious local meats, from brisket, ribs, pulled pork, etc they've got it all. Their brisket was tender and flavorful. The pork ribs were smokey, and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. We order a side of Mac and cheese and two large pickles. Both a great side dish that complement the meats. Service was superb, friendly and efficient! Perfect place if you're feeling carnivorous!
Phillip L — Google review
The name of the place literally says what they do best, MEAT. We ordered a lb of Brisket and Full rack of BBQ Ribs. Both of them are so flavorful, and we especially the burnt on the ribs. The burnt smells really good, is crisp, and fravorful. They also have 4 sauces you can add on your table, Bourbon, Cherry, Spicy, and Mustard. We tasted all and love the Spicy and Cherry. House salad is also very good and go very well with their meats. Highly recommended for smoked meat lovers.

Great place to come have supper with family or with friends. Excellent sharing plates of individual portions. Will be coming here again.

Food was okay overall. Everything was barely warm. Maybe would've been a bit better if it was hot. I think the least favourite item between all of us was the brisket. Very dry. 0 fat, tough, cold. The gravy kind of helped.

Warm welcome, impeccable service, reasonable prices. Just one downside: my BBQ pork ribs were too dry (see photo) Otherwise, I had a lovely dinner.

They do not disappoint. The brisket sandwich is delicious with ample yummy fries. The pork belly was great. I just had an order of ribs, that cherry sauce was so tasty. Can't wait to have some more.

Blue Plate Diner, located at 10145 104 Street in Edmonton Canteen, is a casual and colorful spot that offers classic and unique diner dishes. The menu features a variety of options including gluten-free and kid-friendly dishes. With its quirky decor featuring vintage lights, chequerboard tiles, and local art on the walls, this 50-seat diner provides a comfortable and homey atmosphere. Their hearty weekend brunch menu with rotating specials is a must-try.
My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a date night and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was relaxed but also fun and Indy. There is plenty of seating for big groups and gatherings while also having a personal and cozy feel if you grab a booth. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and inventive. The menu provided lots of options for any type of dietary restrictions and made you curious to try new things. Definitely a unique must see.

Went for my sister's birthday and it was really great, I had a/the French toast, bro had bacon cheddar burger, sis had chicken burger. Everyone thought it was delicious. Drinks were good. Don't recall what we all got. We were all super excited for this place and it definitely met our expectations. It was nice to hang with them as I don't see them often. Will definitely come again
Bailey R — Google review
We got there and it wasn't too busy and still we had to wait for around 1/2 hr for our food. We were served water, I finished my glass and was not offered more water until after I was already eating my food and had finished the water in the first 15 mins we were there. Food was good, not exceptional but good, the drink menu is a bit insane, for a breakfast/brunch diner, I mean coffee for $5? I had looked at the menu online before heading there and what I really wanted wasn't even offered anymore. I was excited to go there but we were dissapointed, simple as that.

Great place for breakfast, nice atmosphere and overall good service. Good variety of options on the breakfast menu and they also have some delicious Mimosa with different flavor options. Thet recently modified their cinnamon buns which was unfortunate. They used to have the hands down best cinnamon buns I've ever had to now being slightly above average at best. Overall great place and definitely recommend it.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. Exceptional service and quality food. If you're in town looking for a great breakfast with good coffee service this is the spot.
Patrick L — Google review
First time and last time for me. Not very many negatives to say, well decorated place, decent selection on food options and great dark roast coffee. The service definitely lost 3 stars in my opinion. Was hard pressed to get a refill on the coffee towards the end of the meal, and only got the one. Ketchup didn’t come in a bottle, but little paper cups and they only served one for a whole plate of fries. Definitely don’t discourage anyone from trying this spot out for a lunch, but definitely could use some work on the service end, friendliness, professionalism and just good waiting. Hope this read was helpful to anyone who took the time to read it through. Cheers.

Awesome food, great service, lovely coffee (that's locally roasted!) Parents brought me here with family for brunch back in November and it was an absolutely wonderful brunch! Ordered the duck confit eggs benedict (with regular sauce, it usually comes with jalapeno hollandaise), and it was quite the lovely meal. Oh right and I started with a cinnamon bun that was insanely fluffy and ever so delicious, with icing that while sweet, wasn't overpoweringly sweet like a lot of places tend to do. It was a nice sweetness that complimented the soft fluffy cinnamon bun perfectly. While my plate did unfortunately leave the kitchen with an eggshell on the one half (instead of the egg), when it was brought to the waiter's attention it was not only fixed, but they gave me a whole entire half a meal of food to replace it.. Now that's service and fixing a mistake to say the least! Coffee was also rather lovely, and it was definitely great that when asked what kind of coffee they had our waiter immediately asked if I was wondering about the roaster, origin of the coffee, and type of roast, to which I replied yes, and got a detailed reply of what kind of coffee they had, which is so wonderful! At so many places you tend to get a blank stare when you ask this question.

Service was quick and great. Taking the rules regarding covid seriously. Food was delicious, we had the brunch special (pork quiche) and eggs Beneduckt. Both were great but I stole my husbands Quiche. The cornbread was great too.

Breakfast restaurant
Hathaway's Diner is a cozy spot in north Edmonton that offers classic breakfast and lunch dishes in a charming country-kitchen setting. The diner is known for its delicious, hearty meals and generous portions, evoking a sense of nostalgia with its old-world comfort food. Regulars recommend trying the various types of Egg Benny and the Sunrise Skillet. The diner prides itself on serving homemade quality dishes with quick and efficient service.
This is honestly one of my favourite breakfast places in the city. The decor inside is super fun, the food is delish (most especially their pies!!!) my favourite pie is dunkaroo but it was sold out the last time we went. The woman who I assume is one of the owners is extremely kind and the last time we went she gave my daughter a free little backpack because she was well behaved. The service is always great. The only downside is it can be quite busy and it’s not the biggest restaurant ever, but I’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes or so. Highly recommend.

Uncover the magic of this hidden gem diner in YEG, where the ambience is refreshingly retro. Took the staff's expert advice and ordered their standout dishes, chicken rice soup and pistachio pineapple cream pie, a winning combination for brunch date. Great price. Great customer service. Great food. Clean washroom.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. I personally had the Hathways Muffin's, other had the open faced turkey sandwich, kids french toast and classic eggs Benny. As always didn't take a picture of the food because we dug in way to fast. Incredible food! Totally worth the price. Service was fast, and friendly and Sydney had all the answers. Shout out to her! The restaurant is a tight setting, but that is so they can maximize on how many people they can serve. And when they consistently have a line out the door I dont blame them. Got some pie to go for me and my pup, and I cant wait to get home and dig in.

A charming local breakfast place with delightful cream pies! I got their daily special of Stuffed French Toast with blueberry and lemon, it was wonderful! A bit noisy during the rush, but quick, fresh, and tasty. So nice to have these neighbourhood gems around and thriving! We each got a slice of pie to go, since we’re so full.

Went to this very chich classic diner style cafe. “Hathaway Diner”. The location was really really out of the way for us but the drive was worth it. Located in the heart of a community and off the beaten path, you will find this very friendly and hip modern diner. The menu was pretty extensive and they serve breakfast and lunch all day. My daughter was craving the eggs Benedict as she had never tried it before. The eggs were perfectly poached as described by the waitress. The hash browns were also nicely seared to perfection. I had the beef dip as it was calling my name. The bun came pillowy soft and the meat was delicious. The dip was sublime, almost wanted to chuck it like soup. Beef barley soup that came with it and was also delicious but was overshadowed by the beef dip. Definitely recommend trying this place out. Lots of fun and delicious meal and great atmosphere. I can totally understand the rave reviews after trying it out.

Lovely breakfast place with friendly staff and owner. The ladies welcome you with smile as well as the owner. Most important thing for me is how I am welcomed to the restaurant. And this place is perfect for me. Designed nicely. Atmosphere is warm for you to feel comfortable. I would visit here in the future.

This is a nice diner that serves great food. It's quite cramped inside though. We heard good things about this place and overall were very happy. The service was excellent. Food was good too but prices are definitely on the high side. Will have to return to decide if the quality makes up for the prices charged.

Stopped by Hathaway’s Diner on a Sunday and had a fantastic experience. It wasn’t too busy, so we easily got a couple of seats by the window—a great spot to enjoy our meal. The service was excellent—attentive, fast, and welcoming. I had the Corned Beef Hash Skillet with sunny-side-up eggs, and it was everything a good skillet should be—simple, hearty, and delicious. My wife had an omelet, and she enjoyed it just as much. The food was straightforward but done exceptionally well. The highlight of our meal was the Pistachio Pineapple Pie—such a unique and delightful treat! Perfectly balanced flavors and not overly sweet. Hathaway’s Diner isn’t a big place, but it has a cozy charm that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great diner food with excellent service!

German restaurant
Barb & Ernie's Old Country Inn, located at 9906 72 Avenue in Edmonton, is a charming German restaurant known for its extensive breakfast menu and old-school comfort food. Established in 1975, this family-run spot offers a wide selection of breakfast options, including their famous pork schnitzel and generously sized hotcakes. The diner-like atmosphere and focus on hearty German fare make it a popular choice for those seeking a satisfying meal without the frills.
We went in at 11:30 and there was a line up out the door. Highly suggest coming early or after 12:30 as there were many more tables available at that time. The food was lovely! The hot cakes are HUGE. The French toast is served with whip cream and a berry mixture. The omelette was large and in charge, and the pork schnitzel had fantastic flavour. Highly recommend!

Came here on a Sunday with a group of girls, it was busy and every table was filled. That must be a good sign if its popularity! Finding parking was a bit tough so be prepared to have to drive around a bit or park a little ways away and walk. Single person bathrooms were nice. It took a while for the staff to come take our order but when they did they were great about substitutions and explaining menu items. I ordered the Vegan Bratwurst ($15.95) which comes with tomatoes, eggs, baked beans, Hashbrowns and toast. Upon writing this review I realize I never did get my toast but the portion was still huge and I ended up taking some of it home anyways. The bratwurst was flavourful and cooked well done which I enjoyed, the baked beans were very tomatoey and a nice pairing. I loved having like half a fresh tomato too. At the table the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict special was a popular order choice and the pulled pork was so flavourful - definitely one I’d come back and order. Also got to taste the breaded pork schnitzel eggs Benedict ($24.95) and the schnitzel was so good! All the portions were huge and a couple of us had our meals boxed up to take home the leftovers. The huge portions is probably my favourite part of eating here.

I like this place, very friendly atmosphere. The price was right and the food was exceptional. My photos show the menu and I had started eating before taking the picture of the plate, sorry. That's how good the food was.

It's a nice family run breakfast place, I am vegetarian, so I always have limited options. Everything is fresh, and they make their own condiments, which are great. I once ordered Mexican omelet which comes with salsa, however I didn't know their salsa comes with mushrooms (and I am allergic to mushrooms, I forgot to mention that to them assuming salsa wouldn't have it anyway). Headsup, if you are allergic to mushrooms, please let them know so they can recommend you . Great place, must try.

Visit: April 2025 Still as good as always! Large portions and you'll always be full when you leave Visit: August 2024 One of, if not my favorite brunch place in town! You never leave this place on an empty stomach, as they are very generous with their portions. The food is always good, and their homemade sacues are unique. Highly recommend coming here for brunch items like the hot cakes (which is huge) and the eggs benedict

Super chill and laid back atmosphere. Both the servers were great and smiling! Food was amazing, really clean flavours and unique! The fried cauliflower is definitely a must try!

Great for brunch! I ordered the pork belly and it was delicious. The braised ribs were good with the eggs and potato. We also ordered the their take on chicken and waffles. They also had their weekly specials. We ordered the bread pudding with potato pancakes and eggs. This place is not your average breakfast spot which is what I love. It is on the heavy side. I would go for brunch instead.

Great, minimalistic decor and cool atmosphere. Delicious cocktails and small plates! The crispy cauliflower and grilled ancho shrimp were worth the trip! Would recommend for either a casual date or a more fancy evening out. :)
Chloe D — Google review
Service was quite slow. I didn’t enjoy the chicken and waffles much, the waffle could’ve been left in the cooker for another 30s to make it crispier on the outside. I prefer to have more sauce like gravy and maple syrup with my C&W so this one was a bit dry for me. My bf has the pork belly and the entire dish was put together very well. It was delicious. Did not appreciate that they don’t serve drip coffees.
Melody Y — Google review
We had the Grilled Ancho Shrimp which was a 4.5 / 5, unique dish with a great combo of flavours, and the Crispy Cauliflower, a savoury and tasty wonder, also giving it 4.5 / 5 but only because it was a bit salty for my pallet. Good service, nice ambiance despite the spaced seating for Covid. Had the Paloma (cocktail) it was great, and the best Moscow Mule in YEG! Will visit again!

Delicious food, I had the crusted pork belly and it was amazing. Partner had the porkchop and he was also very happy with his meal. I definitely recommend the chick pea fries as a starter they are awesome!! The servers were fast and very friendly. Also, I forgot my phone at the restaurant and the waitresses were wonderful when I came back.

Not too often I’ll post pics of half eaten dishes but couldn’t wait. First of all great service & attentiveness! Also received a friendly reminder about upcoming reservation. We ordered 3 dishes & all were delicious. The Dutch baby pancake with rhubarb compote & maple sage sausage is a must. The flavour of the sausage with the rhubarb is so tasty, begging for more. I ordered the special of smoked Arctic char with berry vinaigrette salad. Totally enjoyed the flavours. The third in our group chose the huevos canteenos with pulled pork , avocado, poached eggs,& pico de gallo. Another hit! Even though a one page menu for Sunday brunch, it makes it tough to decide. We will definitely be back 👍
RickD W — Google review
I was excited to finally try this place but unfortunately I was disappointed with the service and the food. The four of us had to wait half an hour for a table even though we made a reservation. All the couples behind us got asked to order, and was served food way before we were. The server didn't ask us whether we would like refill for coffee or water, or check with us if the food was good or not. The presentation of the food was good but they were either too salty or just had a lot sugar/syrup for our taste. Maybe our expectation was too high because of the good things we've heard about this place. Would never go back again.

Service was friendly. We didn’t have a reservation so it was around a 30 minute wait but we were happy to wander around the green house. Atmosphere was great - such an amazing place for brunch on a sunny spring day. Really chases the winter blues away. Food was just okay however. I had the eggs Benedict and the biscuit it was on was tough. Beautifully presented however. I’d go again and try something else on the menu. Prices as expected.

The experience of the visit to Glasshouse Kitchen, and Salisbury Greenhouse combined, is an extraordinary and worthwhile trip. I was road tripping through and tripped on this location somewhat by accident, but I will again venture far off my path if necessary, to visit again. Our server Chelsea, was also highly pleasant, courteous and professional. Note: the crab grilled cheese sandwich pictured was ordered specially on sourdough…the king of all breads. But, as in write this and see this item delivered to a table, on the brioche as it’s crafted for the menu, I have some regrets for not taking is as created. Still it was great.

Café Bicyclette is a charming and cozy counter-serve spot that offers a delightful mix of classic French and Québécois dishes, along with coffee and pastries. Situated across from the U of A's Campus Saint-Jean, it features a lovely year-round patio. Additionally, during the summer months, visitors can enjoy their Summer Music Series in collaboration with La Cite Francophone for an entry fee.
I visited the café today with a friend, and we ordered three items along with the café affogato. The Poutine Bicyclette was absolutely delicious—topped with a perfectly poached egg, bacon, and tender pulled meat. The portion was generous, featuring hand-cut round potatoes with just the right amount of gravy and cheese. Easily one of the best breakfast poutines I’ve had. We also loved the Salades d’Été—a refreshing mix of mango, avocado, and baby greens. It was light, vibrant, and something I’d definitely order again. The Poulet Croustillant was also quite good, but we were so full by that point we had to pack it to go. For coffee, I tried the café affogato with salted caramel ice cream, and it absolutely hit the spot. The combination was rich and satisfying. The staff were very friendly, the service was great, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We truly enjoyed our brunch meeting and look forward to coming back.

Enjoyed a fabulous evening at one of their 5 course gluten free special dinner events. Everything was gluten free. The chef came out to introduce every course. It was such a lovely evening. Attentive serving staff. Food was amazing. Very farm to table, locally sourced. 10/10 would recommend. My spouse who is not GF enjoyed the evening just as much as I did. They also do a wine pairing with each course if that's your thing. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great evening. This is such a hidden gem.

This restaurant/cafe is very charming. The food was amazing. I still think they make the best poutine you can find in Edmonton and one of the best I've had outside the city too. Good atmosphere, good service. Their outdoor area in the summer and fall is so cute!

First and foremost: their poutine is the best I’ve had in the city! It’s wonderful! It’s a beautiful cozy spot (with outdoor seating) to wind down for the afternoon! Staff are welcoming, friendly, and chatty. Free limited parking available by the adjacent lot (although I visited in the evening, during quiet hours) Keep in mind: during busy hours, it might be hard to find indoor seating!

My friend and I ordered the delicious salad d'ete with tofu. The lavender lemonade was nice. There was a jazz singer and musicians playibg at lunch. Fantastic. If I lived in Edmonton, I would be a regular.

My first time coming was just after touring La Cite Francophone for my wedding venue and we immediately fell in love with it. 1000/10 recommend the venue for any events, but it's also a beautiful spot for a date night (or date day!) The food is fabulous. I highly recommend the poutine (breakfast or regular) but you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Almost everything is gluten free too! The whole staff is bilingual and the place just oozes care for the community. I know from our wedding tasting that they work very closely with local farms and source a lot of their food locally. The staff also just clearly works together and supports and respects each other and it makes you feel like you're at home. It's such a unique dynamic. I can't wait to go back again and again!

We were attending a 7pm performance at the Fringe in the Service Credit Union theatre. We arrived at the restaurant at 5pm and were promptly seated. Our drink orders were taken and delivered. We gave our food order at 5:20. At 6 the server came by and said he had made a mistake in giving our order to the kitchen. He did not tell us when we could expect our food to be delivered and we did not ask him. By 6:15we knew our time was getting short to get to the theatre and we told another server we would need to cancel. She checked with the kitchen and they said the order was up. It was delivered at 6:20 giving us about 15 minutes to eat. Our original server never came back to our table and we had to ask other servers about our order and for our bill. The food was delicious but this was our least enjoyable dining experience in Edmonton. We would have preferred to provide our feedback privately but could find no way to communicate privately.

What a colorful wee spot off the beaten track! Our server Alina was a delight...attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The live music was a lovely backdrop to our absolutely scrumptious meal... all of course made from scratch!! A great local haunt - delicious food, fantastic service, and a cool vibe. They also do a fantastic job of bringing on local music for evenings and Sunday brunch. Pretty much everything I've had in the past has been incredible. I decided to try the huevos rancheros this time. It was OK, which could have been enhanced with some salsa or other typical fixings. My only little critique was that I wish the food was warmer. The house hash was kind of cold when it arrived and I think it would’ve tasted better had it had been more fresh. It also would’ve been pleasant to have more options on the menu. Especially more options with fruit in them for the brunch menu. :) Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back for more! In the pictures attached, we ordered the mushroom eggs Benedict, and the breakfast sandwich with avocado!

This is a cool spot that also doubles as a sandwich shop during the day. Their dinner menu is very much Italian inspired and their pastas are well made and large portions. The food is well made, the staff are super kind, and the prices are very reasonable. Good spot to grab lunch or dinner in the Strathcona area.

Went to Pip for the first time with my mom for brunch. The atmosphere is lovely, very modern and clean. Service was great, our server was very attentive and informed about the menu. I ordered a London fog and eggs Benedict. The London fog was lovely and rich, made with house made vanilla syrup. The eggs were perfectly cooked. I wished that the potatoes were a bit crispier and that there was more Hollandaise, but those are minor gripes. Definitely a great place for brunch.

Everything I had was delicious! The vibe was nice & the service was great. Perfect for a catch-up date with a friend. The whole experience was a 10/10. Can't want to come back to try other dishes. What I ordered: - Olives, House Marinated - Pork Schnitzel - Delicious. I want more! And if appreciate spicy, ask them for their house-made hot sauce. So good! - Haskap Margarita

I am in love with this place! The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, the service was top tier! Katie was our server and I couldn’t be happier. She was so attentive to every table she had while we were there. And the food was a 10 out of 10. The flavours were bold but not overpowering. Will for sure be making another stop in at Pip very soon.

Had a wonderful time here celebrating a dear friend’s birthday. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were just perfect. We decided we would each order something different so that we could share and everything was amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Great little date spot! All the staff are very welcoming, especially Kristina, she gave us great recommendations and was super helpful. We had the patas bravas which were comforting and delicious. I had the tagliatelle, which had such well rounded flavours. Lemon zest and Parmesan really hit the mark for me. We will be back!

The Moth Cafe in Edmonton offers a bright and breezy atmosphere with an eclectic vegan menu. The cafe prides itself on using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create high-quality dishes like the vegan Crab Cake Eggs Benny, featuring a cashew-based sauce and jackfruit. In addition to their food offerings, they also have an extensive drinks menu including unique concoctions like the Iced Cashew Chai.
As someone who consumes a lot of meat and dairy in my diet, I was skeptical of trying a vegan café. I am so happy I did. The keylime 'cheesecake' is better than any actual cheesecake I've had (and I love cheesecake). It was thick, creamy, and full of flavor. My friend had a brownie that was also delicious (I helped myself to a sample 😋). The coffee was good and the people were wonderful. The earthy atmosphere with plants, art, and natural tones all through the café added a peaceful/serene feeling. I will absolutely be back for that cheesecake.

We really enjoyed our meal here from the food to the atmosphere to the service. At first, we were disappointed with the menu since they have limited gluten-free options. It would be so easy for them to get a good quality vegan/gluten-free bread – – perhaps from”Food in the Nud” nearby — and be able to offer a gluten-free option for the sandwich and tomato soup combo and the veggie burger combo, both items that we hoped to try. We ended up very happy with our selection, however, and shared the gluten-free pancakes, which were Matcha/lemon/blueberry and the vegan omelette. Both had incredible flavor profiles, were cooked to perfection, and you could tell they were made with quality ingredients. We are so grateful to have found this restaurant during our visit to Edmonton.

Food was delicious and super flavor full. The drinks were unique and had a lot of depth. The service was fast and kind, without feeling overbearing. All in all a wonderful experience We had the Pad Thai, and the special Pancakes (they were chocolate banana with pecans and coconut cream) and for drinks we had the lavender earl gray and the Moth Chai.

The atmosphere here is great, so many plants hanging from the ceiling and on the sides it's very nice. The outdoor patio although midst of a parking lot is also nice, because they have nice privacy screen full of vines. The food is next level so amazing! We have shrooms and chips, winter salad and lemongrass vermicelli. All superb. I plan to go back and try their whole menu!

I have enjoyed the Moth for many years having tried nearly all the options on the menu and enjoyed them all. Of course I have some favourites like the Chips N Shrooms or the Moth Burger. I have been meaning to try the Crab Cake Benny but previously always put it off for a seasonal offering at the. It is now my go-to. It is absolutely one of the best options worth trying. While it doesn't taste like a replica of traditional eggs benny, it absolutely replicates the delicious experience of eating eggs benny. It is a wonderful use of jackfruit. I highly recommend it. I also would say if you are looking to try something new to drink, go for the Mushroom Pine. Described to me accurately as "like a mint hot choloate with tea". It is creamy, lightly sweet and has a hint of floral-ness. The vibe is always friendly and relaxed though it can get noisy. The light is bright and refreshing ( don't be shy to wear sunglasses if it's in your eyes). The staff is minimal but always working hard never sacrificing quality. It can be slow on very busy days, so please be kind.

Super nice cafe! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, & unique and delicious dishes! We tried the fried oyster mushrooms. They use local shrooms which makes it even more special. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their dishes!

Rooster Kitchen & Bar is a popular spot for breakfast and events. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. The food, including dishes like Eggs Benedict and Iron Skillet Brisket With Egg & Hollandaise Sauce, is both local and delicious. Visitors have also enjoyed events like paint night, praising the great service and entertainment. Overall, it's a wonderful place for breakfast or lunch with friendly servers and a delightful atmosphere.
Brunch at Rooster Kitchen and Bar was exactly what my Saturday needed! had the Cowboy Hangover, and honestly, it Worked some real magic on my actual hangover (the $5 mimosas may have both helped and hurt but at 3 for $14 and with so many flavors to pick from, how could not?). The hash was delicious, and lost it when I saw eggs called "cackleberries" on the menu 10/10 for creativity. Bonus points for the all-day breakfast menu, because who doesn't want brunch vibes at literally any hour? Everything was fresh, hearty, and just downright satisfying. Rooster is officially a must-stop for anyone needing a great meal.

Went for breakfast here on Sunday morning. When we arrived, there was already one person waiting outside the door, as the space to wait inside was occupied (a large table of ~10 people). There were several small families & couples that came while we were waiting, saw the line (of only 2 people) was outside, and decided to try other places. We heard comments of “there’s so many empty tables” as they peeked in the windows. Once the big table were seated, being a table for 2, we were quickly seated. I’d agree that there were several empty tables on the far side of the restaurant, I’m guessing they were short-staffed that morning because the poor waitresses were go, go, go. We were served in a reasonable timeframe & had a very pleasant experience with our waitress. The food was DELICIOUS! We both had versions of the Cowboy’s Hangover, and it was excellent. Very crispy potatoes, an incredibly flavorful sausage, and overall perfectly cooked. I will definitely be coming back!

Rooster Kitchen is a community hub. They put people first. The owner cares about musicians and brings them together. This is especially important in the winter time in Edmonton . This is how a bar/cafe becomes an institution and I think it already is an institution here in Edmonton. The atmosphere is welcoming to all. An important venue in Edmonton .

I do no recommend this bistro bar to anyone. I've been here many times now for a friend's edm nights, the bartender is rude and snappy. They refused me and my friends tap water when it was +30 outside. They have cups, ice and water, but refuse to give it to us. The fist couple times I was here they served us ice water but now changed the rules. Its especially important for me to have water at all times as I'm an insulin dependant diabetic and need to drink plenty of water to flush the sugars out of my blood stream. They're are discriminating against special needs and health problems. I'm extremely disappointed in this establishment. I don't feel welcome or safe because of this and will likely not come here again. Way to go roosters for your bad service, and losing customers. Boooo 👎

Cacao 70 Sweet House is a must-visit for chocolate enthusiasts. A popular choice is the small fondue plate featuring milk and white chocolate, accompanied by mixed fruit, brownie pieces, and waffle chunks. The portion size is perfect for sharing and the chocolate is described as incredibly delicious. It's a great spot to indulge in sweet treats with friends or loved ones.
We stopped here Saturday night for a quick dessert. If you are a chocolate fan this is a MUST try!! My wife and I tried the small fondue plate with milk and white chocolate. The plate came with three small plates of mixed fruit, several pieces of brownie and a few chunks of waffle. It was the perfect size for my wife and I and the chocolate was unbelievably delicious. We will definitely be back and will bring friends!

Didn't meet expectations. I feel a bit catfished honestly by all the wonderful looking food photos. Food presentation is a 10/10 but the taste is 5/10. I ordered the smoked salmon bagel, it was soggy and had barely an ounce of salmon and cost $13! My date ordered the chicken waffle. Looked great but was lacking flavor. It was my first visit, but my date told me he was reluctant to take me because the food didn't taste great. Also ordered the $15 fruit crepe, which had fresh bananas and strawberries but the thin crepe tasted like cold paper. Not sweet or savory. Whipped cream was $1.50 to add. The cappuccino was alright. Needless to say food didn't meet expectations. The tables were a bit sticky and the paper menus were torn and tattered, not laminated, kind of gross. No music in background, could hear every other conversation in the restaurant. Nice looking decor and lighting. Overall this place is overpriced overrated.

Chocolate chocolate chocolate did I mention chocolate YES!! if chocolate is your thing then this is your place. I had the Mexicacao hot chocolate and it was fantastic with good dark chocolate taste and a hint of spicy heat. Also had the strawberry crepe with dark chocolate and it was good, could of had more dark chocolate though. Decor is nice. Service was friendly and courteous and the order came pretty quick. Overall the restaurant was clean as was the washroom. We will come again and try one of the chocolate waffle items. Enjoyed the visit.

While presentation and appeal for social media are fantastic, the food itself was somewhat overpriced, questionable in quality, and unbearably overly sweet. With the group I went with, we ordered the upside-down cone, a seasonal black forest cone, and fondue (all pictured). The soft-serve ice cream tasted fine, but barely melted over 30+ minutes, which was odd; the cheesecake was too sweet and rich, which even in its small quantity made it hard to finish; the macha and caramel sauce were sickly sweet, ruining everything it touched; the only ingredient of the upside-down cone that wasn't too sweet was the fruit and Belgian waffle, which unfortunately didn't hold up to the crispy, caramelized sugar qualities of good Belgian waffles (just tasted like a normal breakfast waffle). With all that being said, I genuinely enjoyed the fruit and fondue, which was easily the best thing we ordered. The seasonal cone was also decent. All in all, I don't regret eating at Cacao 70 Sweet House for the novelty and experience of it all. However, the food itself was too sweet for even my sweet tooth, which personally says a lot.

Only tried the waffle, it was delicious! Very very pricey though. The decor is nice but the menu is confusing and needs some clarification (3 different kinds of hot cocoa). The staff here are wonderfully helpful though! The location is tucked in a corner of the Edmonton tower, very hard to find unfortunately.. Hopefully better access will come as the building is finished!

Other than not having typical drink options (soft drinks, sparkling water, etc) the place was incredible and gorgeous - I felt like I was in California. I had the fondue with a friend and it was worth every penny. Parking is obviously tough especially on a hockey night but worth it!
Lauren J — Google review
This is my absolute favorite dessert spot! It's a little difficult to find, as it's not visible from 104 ave and there is a lot of construction going on in the area, but of course, that's no fault of the restaurant's. So far, I've tried the Black Jack, a waffle ice cream cone dipped in matcha and a cup of dark chocolate cocoa. They were handing out coupons a couple of weeks back to attract customers, so my waffle cone was free and the dark chocolate cocoa was buy one, get one free! I like that they have black sesame ice cream here, as not many places in Edmonton offer it :)

It is a very instagramable place for sure. It is pretty and good tasting but too much sugar, so it’s not a place to go very often. It’s not busy on weekdays making a perfect place to go for a hot chocolate if working downtown.

If you're on the hunt for a breakfast haven in Calgary, look no further than The Bro'Kin Yolk, a delightful Filipino-owned eatery run by brothers Jeff and Gil Carlos. This popular spot boasts an extensive menu that caters to all tastes, featuring everything from classic breakfast staples with inventive twists to vegan options and indulgent sweet treats.
Busy little spot, bright cheery vibes. Food and service was excellent. Coffee refills were prompt! We had a great experience. Previous reviews mentioned lack of avocado on the Tomato Jam & Avocado toast, however I was happy with mine.(More than it seems in the picture , I ended up spreading it out more myself) Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

My family and I went here for breakfast last summer. Another review i never posted as the pictures were on my old phone. The Bro'Kin Yolk is a nice restaurant located in south common. The place is a little noisy as it packs too many people into too small a space. They could benefit from a larger venue. The food is good, though they don't make waffles to order I've been told, which is very disappointing. At these prices everything should be to order, especially as its breakfast foods, super easy. I had eggs Benedict with hash browns that were cooked in duck fat, but didn't taste any better for it. Everyone had a nice time though, kids enjoyed it as did my cousins and sister in laws.

Amazing place for brunch! Love the atmosphere and so much variety. The coffee is super delicous too. This place is hidden in south common and has a nice vibe inside. I ordered the avocado toast with jam. It was really good the only thing is that you barely get any avocado for what you pay for. For me personally I would get more avocado next time but it was all perfect. My friends enjoyed this place as well!

Visited over the May long weekend and was able to grab a table after calling in around 9 am and waiting for an hour. Definitely recommend calling in advance so you can do your morning routine before coming here. Food was awesome, we thought everything tasted great and you can tell it’s good quality ingredients💯 Very similar vibes to other breakfast places like oeb but have some fun Filipino dishes to also try. I grabbed their Cali breakfast poutine and added their house cured bacon which was delishhhh I asked for the bacon extra crispy and www🔥🔥🔥 Portions were good size and prices are similar to other same style of restaurants. Staff were friendly and though there’s a bit of bc of how packed it gets, it’s still definitely a must try place in Edmonton 🙌 place is good for kids too :)

I have come to visit here often and have brought friends and family as I love this place. Service is amazing. Wait times crazy as place is often full but I would say it is managed pretty well! On the first few occasions we always had a table. But recently due to not doing my diligence in booking a table, we had the bar table on both occasion. It was a lazy Sunday and I went to have brunch. As usual service was amazing! The host or manager on duty was awesome and she does her job really well - multi task while greeting and connecting with customers. However, I removed 1 star as this location could improve on Food Safety standards. It’s concerning that the lids of beverages was stored near the chemicals. While the barista was amazing, milk steam wand was wiped with the same tissue or some sort of white cloth repeatedly - this poses a potential health hazard. Bare hands being used to hold food and later on same hand used to touch nose and face. The bar and kitchen area is dirty with a lot of build ups. I never really realized as I often visit this place until I was seated at the bar table and watched them work. I hope this place could execute food safety in place for everyone’s protection and safety especially for those who loves to eat and those who want to explore this restaurant. For sure I’d come back again soon for my favourite dishesssss. Thanks you for the great service today❤️

The Bro’Kin Yolk is hands down one of the best brunch spots around! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The BELT sandwich is a favourite, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked egg, fresh lettuce and tomato all layered in a way that’s hearty but still balanced. Their Bacon Benny is another standout, rich, creamy hollandaise over perfectly poached eggs with smoky, crispy bacon. It’s comfort food at its finest and honestly one of the best bennies I’ve had in the city They also do classics really well, like fried chicken and waffles or their eggs benedict varieties, and the portions are generous without being over the top. Service is always friendly and attentive, with staff keeping coffee topped up and making you feel welcome even when the restaurant is buzzing. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, perfect for brunch with friends, family, or even a solo treat. There can be a bit of a wait during peak hours, but once the food hits the table, you’ll see why it’s worth it. The Bro’Kin Yolk never disappoints!

The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is a luxurious hotel with a rich history, dating back to its opening in 1915. Overlooking the river, this upscale establishment offers elegant accommodations and a regional restaurant. The hotel has undergone extensive renovations, including the addition of a full spa with massage services. Each of its 198 guestrooms features en-suite facilities and thoughtful amenities. Guests can also enjoy afternoon tea every Sunday at this historic Edmonton landmark.
Very nice hotel and service. Stayed there 2 adults & 2 kids. Rooms are large and very clean/comfortable. The whole team is awesome. The garden is beautiful. Excellent food. Manager fixed an error on my reservation and made it right. Will definitely come back.

We had a great stay here after our wedding last weekend. The room was fantastic with a great view of the river valley. We really enjoyed the steam room and pool in the mornings. One of the staff members, Brittany, was fantastic to deal with and so hospitable. We ended up ordering in room dining and it was so nice to relax in our room and enjoy the fantastic food following our wedding. Beautiful hotel and wonderful service.

My family of five stayed in room 238 for a weekend and had one of the worst hotel experiences we've encountered. We were completely blindsided by a DJ event taking place directly below our suite. From evening until after midnight, our room was filled with pounding bass and DJ announcements. None of us could sleep. This is a historic building with no soundproofing, and it felt like the event was happening in our room. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that when we raised this issue with hotel management, we learned these events happen *weekly*. Yet at no point during booking or check-in were we informed that our room would be directly above a late-night event venue. When I asked why guests aren't notified of these events at check-in, I was told "these are business decisions." That response shows a complete disregard for guest experience. A simple heads-up would have allowed us to either choose a different room or make an informed decision about staying elsewhere. Instead, we paid premium prices for a sleepless night with our children. The Fairmont brand is known for luxury hospitality, but this location prioritizes event revenue over guest comfort without even the courtesy of disclosure. I cannot recommend staying here, especially with children, and would strongly advise future guests to specifically ask about events before booking.

3 night stay for a business conference. Our Gold room had a beautiful view of the river valley in autumn and was very spacious. We could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding! From the moment we arrived, the venue took our breath away. The setting was absolutely stunning, every detail was thoughtfully maintained, and it created the most magical backdrop for our special day. The staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly—professional, warm, and genuinely invested in making our wedding unforgettable. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the space was and how seamless the entire day felt. If you’re looking for a venue that combines elegance, charm, and exceptional service, look no further. Choosing this venue was the best decision we made—it truly made our wedding day a dream come true!

The best hotel in Edmonton! We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our baby’s two-month milestone, and it truly became an unforgettable experience. Every staff member was incredibly kind and welcoming, and I’d like to give special mention to David at the Confederation Lounge, whose service was absolutely outstanding. The hotel offers complimentary access to the sauna, swimming pool, and fitness centre. From the lounge or restaurant patio, you can also step outside to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Saskatchewan River, simply picture-perfect! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edmonton!

Had a wonderful experience this weekend. Initially, there was a mix-up with my reservation that could have ruined our trip. But, the manager - Nella - stepped in and saved the day! I am so grateful to her for helping me out in a desperate situation. She reacted with sheer patience and kindness. Thank you so much!! The hotel itself is beautiful and so well maintained. Nothing but positive things to say from the restaurant to the valet! Highly recommend!

If you like history, you must stay at the MacDonald. Fairmont has done a good job preserving the character of the hotel, while providing modern amenities. In particular, I found their shower to be better than those offered at comparable hotels. The "luxury water" in the lobby was a nice touch as well, for someone that does not drink tap water. Centrally located around the ICE district, the MacDonald offers quick access to highly regarded cafes, restaurants, and events.

Lovely drinks, food and ambience. We came on a busy evening for dinner, but the server was able to accommodate us very quickly with bar seating. Couldn't have anything alcoholic as I was driving, their Golden Hour drink was fabulous. Definitely a bit of a premium on the price end but it was a good experience!

DOSC is a very contemporary bar/coffee house/ steak house! The restaurant is located downtown Edmonton. The building is architecturally beautiful and historic. (A wheelchair accessible entrance was not apparent) The coffee bar is fully prepared to make your favorite brewed beverages. The bar was tastefully decorated, offering all the "adult" beverages you could imagine. The have a great selection of wines and a nice eclectic variety of beers. The restaurant surrounds the room with plenty of seating choices. Window seats, secluded romantic seats, casual locations. The menu has a nice variety of choices for most palates. The preparation and presentation were top-notch. Every dish was seasoned well and so tasty. (I recommend the Beef Wellington) DOSC is a wonderful place for a business dinner or a night out with your friends. Great site, great service, great food.

We ordered tomahawk + 2 appetizers for 4 people and were super excited to try the meat. The tomahawk was unfortunately pretty tough and dry and did not taste great. The table agreed on 3/5. However, the appetizers were delicious and our server was suuper friendly and awesome 5/5. 4 stars because we would return one day but probably not order the tomahawk.

This was my first time at DOSC and I was highly impressed. Everything from the service to the food was just amazing. I ordered the strip loin with the beef tallow mushrooms during their brunch menu. The steak was so tender and was cooked to perfection. Additionally I shared a few items such as the brussel sprouts and the ox tail poutine both of which I would strongly recommend. The ox tail poutine had a large amount of meat on it which was surprising and very tasty. If you are looking for a great meal in Edmonton I would highly suggest trying DOSC.

The food is tasty and the ambience elegant - found the staff clearly more upbeat and enthusiastic to Caucasian solo male diner. I arrived and while the waitstaff walks towards me at the door they don’t greet me instead they look hesitant and questioning and while serving instead of a smile and sincere enjoy your meal and genuinely pleased - it’s more here’s the dish. And I’m the one saying thank you. It was highly and noticeably different watching the way the greeted the white male who entered after me and seated at the table right next to me so I heard exactly all the differences however minute it may seem make a big difference. That’s how the ego and morale of certain groups are maintained and boosted while solo female Asian diners def do not get the same treatment or even identity as most people are conditioned and unconsciously behavior with more obsequious and respectful behavior to Caucasians, male and other elements of their upbringing and societal prejudices whether based on merit or not. Unfortunately it’s too common and is not unique to this restaurant but the staff although “polite” on the surface was like a night and day difference to me and is the exact type of low energy behavior that marginalized certain people and is an element of racism and discrimination.

Bakery
Kinnikinnick Foods & Kinnikinnick Fresh Bakery is a delightful haven for gluten-free enthusiasts, offering an impressive array of baked goods, including breads, muffins, and desserts. This charming shop doubles as a mini grocery store stocked with everything from pastas to pantry staples like all-purpose flour blends and even gluten-free salami packs. With many items being egg and dairy-free, it caters to those with multiple dietary restrictions.
I needed a gluten-free cake for my sister's birthday and usually, I get it from Celebrate Gluten-Free. However, they were closed for the holidays, so I decided to try Kinnikinnick. When I called, a lovely girl answered and when I explained that their closing time conflicted with my schedule, she offered to take my payment over the phone and hold the cake for me. She kindly said she would wait for 10 minutes after their closing time, which was incredibly thoughtful. Despite being a 12-minute drive away, I made it in time, and she was waiting outside with my order. I was so touched by her kindness and exceptional service, and I couldn't thank her enough. The bakery truly saved my last-minute birthday plans! I ended up getting the German chocolate cake, and it was absolutely delicious. 🎂🙌🏽

Amazing gluten free treats and food. Not only can you find packaged gluten free flours, cookies, crackers and bread, you can also pick up baked treats at a reasonable price. They have individually packaged cookies, muffins, cupcakes, cakes, pies and more. Everything is clearly labelled if there is dairy or not too! Highly recommend the sticky buns and the double chocolate ice cream sandwich. Editing to add: I finally understand why everyone likes sourdough bread. Their gluten free sourdough bread is amazing. How is it so soft???

This is a negative review directly related to how hot cross buns were being displayed & arranged. The buns were stacked on top of each other & squashed like pancakes. Like so many folks with celiac I have to eat GF otherwise suffer the consequences which can be very severe. I commented to the staff member running the till about the hot cross buns all being squashed & asked if there were any in the back that were not squashed. She blinked at me like a troll from Frozen with a completely lost & confused expression & whispered no. Life is very expensive & this made me sad. I bought hot cross buns from a grocery store for the rest of my family and even those were sad in my eyes but they were not squished. Packaged in a recyclable box measuring 6.5cm in height. I measured kinnikinnicks to find that at the highest point was just over 2cm!! That's not even an inch!! The highest point! I know the person working the till is just staff likely being paid minimum wage (which is another hill to die on) but is it too much to ask for no squished hot cross buns!?!? I would ask that we all take a bit more pride in our jobs, no matter the job, & please be a bit more thoughtful. Can you please arrange baked goods in a way that will not ruin the product? This is sad. If I was the owner I'd be embarrassed.

Best gluten product i ever had . Extremely nice lady at the store offered a few products as a gift of purchase since I mentioned I just got out of an ab surgery and are very limited to choice of food in recoverstage (no gluten , egg and dairy) . In love with the cream puff and lemon walfer. The muffin took me by surprise after the first bite from the oven. Never had to go for McDonald breakfast sandwich ever , perfect replacement. Gluten free life is pleasant with all the kinnikinnick product

Local, Canadian and gluten free! Fresh gluten free baked goods at a decent price right in our backyard! We are lucky they have a retail store in our city. Much cheaper to buy here!
Abisaac S — Google review
The bread is amazing. I have tried 4 other popular brands for gluten free including Promise, terrible texture and taste. This bread great taste and texture. I called the head office to find out where to find this bread in Ontario and they were very helpful and friendly. More stores should carry it.
Christine L — Google review
My favorite gluten free bakery in the city! Their cheese bread and sticky buns are 🤌🏻 I go mostly for the fresh baked goods but they carry a lot of other gluten free products!
Candice K — Google review
This place just gets full stars because my wife, my gluten-free, dairy free, soy free wife, can find treats here. For us, it’s an amazing gift. Thank you Kinnikinnick for improving our quality of life.

Awake Coffee House is a local gem that uses locally roasted coffee beans and chocolate to craft their delightful beverages. The premium hot chocolate made with real chocolate is described as rich and superb, while the cappuccino is simply fantastic. Their bubble waffles offer a unique twist, being chewier and denser than traditional ones. The friendly and accommodating staff create a relaxed and chill atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for enjoying top-notch coffee.
Great latte from Awake Coffee house! It is connected to a nice pharmacy & I think the pairing is genius! good coffee & food selection, including bubble waffles! would go back again!

I got a London Fog and a cinnamon bun. The bun was great but the London Fog was DELICIOUS!!! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
Selin U — Google review
We had a large mocha, a flat white and the plain bubble waffles (with berry compote and chocolate sauce). The coffee was hot and delicious. The waffles were quite tasty, with a bit of a crunchy edge. As a blind patron, I found the access good. No issues and plenty of tables available.
Matt S — Google review
Loved it here, great coffee and service. I just noticed the reviewer before me said there are no lactose free milk options at all...? I get oat milk here every time and my sister gets almond...no idea what they're talking about, they always have oat, almond, soy. I definitely recommend this place.
C R — Google review
Cute little cafe. Enjoyed the egg sandwich on the bubble waffle- it was interesting and included ample amounts of bacon and guacamole. Great portion size. The candy cane seasonal latte was really good! A nice quiet environment to get work done with table and bench seating. Outlets available. Cafe shares a location with a pharmacy which was okay but a little strange.

Chicken restaurant
Waffle Bird is a vibrant and trendy speakeasy that has quickly become a must-visit spot in Edmonton, especially for fans of the classic chicken and waffles combo. Nestled in a colorful building tucked away in an alley off Whyte Avenue, this unique eatery offers an exciting twist on traditional dishes. Their menu features creatively named chicken sandwiches like the BangCock Dangerous, which boasts sweet chilies and homemade slaw.
I absolutely love waffles, and I’m so happy I finally made it here! I cannot eat another bite, I’m so stuffed. I came with my mom and my kids, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Our server was super friendly and really made our experience awesome. We loved the white gravy and the coleslaw—they were fantastic! I’ll definitely be back, and I’m looking forward to brunch next time!

New location and much better vibes. I feel like I've been transported back to the 90's with Garfield and Magic School Bus. The food was on point. I got the chicken and waffle and paid an extra $4 for one more piece of chicken. Everything was delish. Crispy and well-seasoned chicken. Loved the syrup on the waffles. Homemade fries with real ketchup were to die for. Stop coming to the McDonald's nearby and get out of your comfort zone. With how inflated McDonald's is you'd best come here and support local!
Alex T — Google review
Great little restaurant just south of Whyte Ave. And adjacent Gateway Blvd. Bright clean space with lots of seating, kitchen decor. Food was excellent and served with a smile! Had the angry bird sandwich with just the right mix of spices, toppings, and toasted bun. I like that they flatten the chicken breast first, makes for easier eating then places that don't. Everything is made from scratch including the delicious home fries and house ketchup. Less sugar, more tomatoes 🍅. I'll be back to try their signature waffles and chicken next!
David B — Google review
If you are looking for a seriously spicy chicken in Edmonton this is it. Ended up ordering two chicken burger combos which were incredible and even the one the next day for lunch turned out perfect. Just to warn you everything is spicy but the right type of spice. Chicken was spicy, fries were spicy, tater tots were spicy and I loved every minute of it.
Nick — Google review
Excellent food at an affordable price. Approximately $15-20 per person and food was served quickly. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, the waffles were delicious, and the fries are fantastic. The only thing that irked me was the counter guy - he could be friendly to the only customers in there, but hopefully it was just a bad day.
Amber A — Google review
Best chicken and waffles in Edmonton, hands down! The owner makes his own homemade ketchup, and it's to die for.
Sarah P — Google review
Very rarely do I ever give out a 1 star review but this was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. The Waffle Platter: Let’s start with this one. The Waffle was BURNT to a crisp. I could barely cut into it. Inedible and tasted like burnt toast. No maple syrup in sight. Chicken was completely dry Fries: The description for the fries on website states WB seasoning, pickles and ketchup. All I received was burnt potatoes with absolutely no seasoning or pickles and I paid $8 for it! Basically everything I received was either overcooked or burnt. I’ve never experienced this from a restaurant before. I truly hope for the sake of this business that this was a one off event and hope they strive for better quality in the future because this was absolutely terrible.
Babar M — Google review
Had the angry chicken and waffles with a coconut woahnut for dessert. Gotta say this place is legit, the chicken was spicy without being overwhelming and the waffle was fluffy and just plain perfect, add the maple syrup and u get one hell of a bite! Absolutely recommended!! Oh damn and the Doritos tater tots! I honestly loved it lol

Tutti Frutti déjeuner et diner is a charming spot for a delightful breakfast or brunch experience. The restaurant offers a quiet and welcoming atmosphere, accompanied by soft music and prompt service. The menu features clear descriptions of the meals, making it easy to choose from their delicious offerings. Customers have praised the fresh and sweet crepes with cream and strawberries, as well as the flavorful Eggs Benedict with brie and mushrooms.
We came to have breakfast with our families, we were greeted pleasantly. We were served by a pleasant waitress. If you have time, be sure to visit this establishment. The dishes are sooo big, we had to take half of the dishes in containers, it's great. The food was delicious. We were there for brunch, 10:30, on a Monday, there weren't many people in the room. I recommend visiting this place.

Ordered Coffee, Waffle Combo and Ham & Swiss Cheese Crepe. Breakfast and the service was decent. The venue had a relaxed atmosphere with the occasional plates clashing and cutlery dropping. Anyways, a Nice place to have breakfast with friends and family. Will be back to try some new dishes on the menu.

I came here in early November The heat was a little bit too warm for me However the lady waitress was very kind even though she was the the only one serving the customers in restaurants. So I felt warm inside and out.😆 BTW the dishes were delicious, healthy and fresh.😋
Ting T — Google review
The atmosphere is very open, kind of like a hotel or cafeteria. The food was pretty good, decent sizes for the price. My friend's egg came a little underdone but mine was good. Decent place if you are hungry

Apr 9/25 Today, I brought a numbers of friends to go there for lunch. Compare with other breakfast & lunch restaurants, this Tutti Frutti has the best settings, best deal for the quality. I love hers Waffle with fresh fruits. The Eggs Benedict is also very good. This is the best Tutti Frutti restaurant in town. Very beautiful and nice settings. They have a patio too. Very good service. Make sure you use Google map to guide you, because it is inside a senior home.

Went for an early 830am breakfast. It was a quiet atmosphere with soft music. It was very welcoming for breakfast. It wasn't too busy, and the server was prompt with seating me and bringing coffee. The menu was easy to read with clear descriptions of the meals. The server recommended the crepe with cream and strawberries. It was fresh and deliciously sweet. I also ordered the "Eggs Benedict with brie and mushrooms," and I was not disappointed. The eggs were cooked to the right temperature, medium, and the meal was served hot. The serving portion was a fair size.

Wandered in here one day for lunch. The wraps are amazing! Crispy hash browns in a sandwich!? Why don’t more people do that it’s freakin delicious. Cute little cafe as well. Highly recommended.

Great place, and relatively unchanged interior from the calm, laid back atmosphere of the old Cafe Lavi. You can still get the best London Fog in town from Kevin (from Lavi), and their Smoked Cheddar Bulgogi was amazing!! Love it and I highly recommend this place to one and all.
