Nestled in the historic McLeod Building at 100 Street & Rice Howard Way, Woodwork is a cozy yet trendy restaurant that beautifully marries southern U.S. barbecue with French culinary influences. This gem of Edmonton specializes in seasonal wood-fired dishes, all expertly prepared on their custom Grillworks grill. The ambiance is relaxed and refined, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant on a particularly frigid evening with temperatures reaching -37°C. Despite the cold, we were warmly welcomed, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The meals were quite satisfactory, with my husband particularly enjoying the ribs and the Whisky Sour. He mentioned that the Whisky Sour closely resembled one he had at The Plaza in New York, which speaks volumes about the skill of your bartender, Alec. His rich knowledge and expertise certainly enhanced our visit. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Lynne, whose warm and energetic personality made a lasting impression. She thoughtfully arranged our seating to accommodate our baby’s carrier, ensuring we were both comfortable and well-cared for throughout the meal. The ambiance of your restaurant was wonderfully relaxing, especially considering the extreme temperatures outside. It was a welcome retreat, and we look forward to returning in the future. Thank you once again for the excellent service and memorable experience.

It was very atmospheric. At first I thought that the cocktail was too small for such a price, but after one sip I realized that these are the most delicious cocktails I have ever drunk! I liked that everyone was dressed in the same uniform. Everyone was friendly. Also special thanks for replacing my fry potatoes because it was spicy for me. Of the minuses, it’s very noisy here.
Ольга Д — Google review
Their website describes it as a “cozy restaurant with a hip vibe serving seasonal, wood-fired dishes & barrel-aged spirits.” Let me start by asking: why is it so dark in here? Cozy is one thing, but this feels closer to nap-time vibes. And while we’re at it, why is it so loud? Between the music and the chatter bouncing around, it made the place feel busier than it actually was. A little sound dampening would go a long way. Visually, the vibe is cute and cozy, but the noise level really throws it off. Also, $200 for a market cut Wagyu steak—are we sure this isn’t the U.S. market? Food Brussels Sprouts Elote: Fantastic. Cooked well, with a good amount of char. The chipotle lime aioli and feta added the perfect balance, and the slight sweetness pulled it all together. Highly recommend. Steak Frites: Fries were excellent—super crunchy and flavorful. The salad was forgettable. The beef itself was flavorful, mushrooms cooked perfectly, but unfortunately, the steak was closer to medium-well than the medium-rare I asked for. Still good, just not quite right. Snake River Pork Chop: Very tender and tasty. The pork was the star. The veggies, though, were unmemorable and didn’t add much. Sticky Toffee Pudding: Delicious. Rich, sweet, and absolutely worth ordering. Drinks Fleur de Lune: Smooth, fruity, and balanced with a slight kick at the end. The dragon fruit really came through. Pomme d’Or: Light and refreshing, starting with citrus and finishing with a kick of cinnamon. Both cocktails are worth trying. Service Service was friendly and attentive, though the mains came out a bit slower than I’d like. Nothing deal-breaking. Other Notes It was uncomfortably hot inside, even on a cool September evening. The dress code for staff is basically non-existent, which doesn’t match the atmosphere they seem to be going for. Prices are high, but that’s expected for this kind of “experience” restaurant. Overall Woodwork is worth checking out for the experience, especially the brussels sprouts, desserts, and cocktails. The noise, heat, and a few small missteps hold it back from being amazing. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back, but I wouldn’t tell someone not to try it either.

Wonderful little restaurant/ bar. The drinks are top notch & trendy. The bread pudding was the best bread pudding I have ever had. Recommend.
Nestor D — Google review
We visited Woodwork on a Tuesday evening around 6pm with a reservation. I wish I could rank this higher but my husband and I were so physically uncomfortable because of the poor HVAC, it was unbearably hot inside. It must have been 30+ degrees inside. The food was actually amazing, possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Fries were perfect and the brussel sprouts as a starter were super tasty. Beautiful drinks and a massive drink menu to choose from. The server was very helpful, kind and informative. He had a wonderful personality and was prompt and attentive. When we asked about the temperature, we were unfortunately told that because it's an old building it sometimes is hard to control. Because of this, I don't know if we would risk returning. Which is unfortunate, because it really was a lovely establishment without this issue.

The place has a great ambiance with an amazing fragrance and such a cool vibe. The food is absolutely delicious! Perfect spot for dinner. If you’re visiting on the weekend, make sure to book your table in advance. Overall, an amazing place to dine and relax.

Came here for a cocktail and was not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and front greeting staff are so lovely and welcoming. Had the Espresso Martini and it was definitely one of the best I’ve tried; It was strong but very great flavours and would highly recommend visiting if you are near by and want a drink. I would definitely like to come back to try their food as the menu looked great! Looks like a great date night spot.

The hostess at Woodwork was very friendly and did everything she could to accommodate our group to get seats despite being busy. The bartender was great and made delicious cocktail recommendations when asked and even let us try small samples of some of the liquors when we asked questions about them. Drinks weren’t cheap, but they were all very good for our entire group. The food was delicious (I had smoked olives and braised lamb shank) and the place had a great vibe. They even gave us some discount coupons as we were leaving for lunch if we returned. Would definitely recommend it as a place to check out

Wine bar
Small plates restaurant
Bar Bricco is a cozy Italian wine and Spuntini bar known for its top-notch Italian starters, pasta, cheese, and cured meats. Despite its small and dimly lit interior, the restaurant offers an incredible selection of Italian wines and playfully updated classic cocktails. The menu focuses on snacks and small plates perfect for sharing, including house-made pastas, imported cheeses, cured meats, and other delectable dishes.
One of our favourite restaurants throughout the years and since it’s been opened. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here, as everything is perfectly executed. But the agnolotti is swoon-worthy and a MUST. Food is fresh, simple with few quality ingredients yet yielding complex and elevated flavours. Ambience is casual but sophisticated. Service is attentive, fun, and knowledgeable.

Had a wonderful experience here, we love every single dishes and cocktails . Especially the tuna one. Also thank for our waitress for providing excellent service. She made us feel so welcome! Her smile and positive attitude made the experience even better.
Zhouxinyu G — Google review
Tried Bar Bricco, and it was such a wonderful experience! I had the housemade whipped ricotta with fresh bread — simple but incredible — and a half order of their ravioli pasta in sage butter sauce, which was perfectly rich and balanced. I topped it off with the Delavoye chocolate truffle, a beautiful collaboration with a local business that made the whole night feel extra special. The bar and wait staff were fantastic — super friendly and happy to share the story behind the restaurant. Plus, the wallpaper covered in different birds was such a unique, charming touch. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in Edmonton!

Best food I’ve had in a long time!! Absolutely amazing service from both the waitress and bartender. My husband loved their olives so much that they gave us a small container to take home. I can’t wait to come back here. Best pasta I’ve ever had! And hands down best service! Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one.
Sarah A — Google review
Bar Bricco was a wonderful restaurant overall. We ordered the tasting menu for two, and it was very thoughtful of our server to ask if we had plans afterward to help pace our experience. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. Toward the end, the service slowed, and we eventually had to ask our server about the remaining courses. We understood it was a busy evening, but the timing caused us to rush the final part of our meal and request the bill together so we would not miss our show. Although our server did not acknowledge the delay, the quality of the food truly stood out. We would gladly return for the amazing flavours, and we hope for a smoother service next time.
Paul A — Google review
There might only be a few food options but pretty much everything on the menu is fantastic and high quality. The prices seem a bit high but they're entirely justified. The place is a little cramped and loud as it's frequented by the after-work crowd in the late afternoon. That and the bathroom is at the end of a weird dark hallway and it isn't marked clearly. A bit confusing but I think it's by design.
Safi K — Google review
The food at bar bricco is decent, the panna cotta dessert was a bit liquid but the other dishes were quite good. The egg yolk ravioli and the agnolotti were both perfect as usual. However the service was completely off putting. We were a table of five and ordered 14 small plates. Not once did our server come by to switch out cutlery or plates. This restaurant charges a significant amount of money for small dishes, which is not the problem, but for these prices I would except the restaurant to at least offer change in cutlery once or twice between 14 small plates. Secondly the waitress would come by take away our drinks but not ask if we wanted anything else. We would always have to flag her down and ask for another drink. It was also very strange to see her laughing and joking with every table but was quite stand off ish with us. We had asked for our check and it took 10-15 min to get it to us, we saw her laughing and joking around with a table, and then when we finally got our check it was a very curt “thanks” and just walked away. There was also an extremely obnoxious table in our area that was screaming and speaking so loudly, even after they had cleared the table they hung around our table speaking so loudly and continued to be obnoxious and disruptive. None of the employees managed that, they just allowed it to happen and didn’t even come by to apologize for how disruptive the behaviour was. Maybe they didn’t notice but it created a really unpolished atmosphere. Unfortunately this was not a great experience for us.

Restaurant
CRAFT Beer Market in Edmonton is a sophisticated gastropub that boasts an extensive selection of over 100 microbrews, making it a haven for beer enthusiasts. The pub offers local and seasonal pub fare in a stylish and airy interior, but the real charm lies on its patio where patrons can enjoy their drinks amidst the city's ambiance. This establishment prides itself on having the largest draft beer selection in Canada, featuring both local and international brews.
Came here for lunch for the first time ever. They had a really nice happy hour menu and really good drink menu. We had a little bit of everything. Everything was tasty and delicious. We ordered wings, Korean ribs, a bunch of sushi appetizers and truffle fries and some beers. Our waiter was great as well. I highly recommend this place if you're downtown and looking for a place to have a beer and some food and possibly watch a game! Only thing is parking can be tough because it's downtown and it's expected. We parked at the library underground and it was really cheap. Did you have street parking but it's usually taken because that's a very busy area..

Ayyyy what a great place!!! My good friend and I went here for dinner the other day and oh my gosh - such a great spot to have delicious quality drinks, shareables and meals. We were unfortunately full by the time dessert came around but we shall try that next time. This place is set up so beautifully and has such a refreshing, calm vibe! The kind workers exceed satisfaction of effort - outstanding staff there that make you feel welcome and comfortable! Highly recommend this absolutely wonderful place to dine and chill!
Abigail — Google review
Unfortunately, our experience here was disappointing. The burgers were incredibly dry — easily the driest we’ve had in Edmonton. When the server asked how everything was, we gave an honest “it’s okay,” but all we got in response was a quick “ah ok” with no follow-up. The salmon bowl was another letdown — it was so overwhelmingly spicy that it became inedible. We ended up leaving a good portion of it untouched. Overall, the food missed the mark, and the service felt indifferent. Definitely not a place we’d rush back to.

Craft Beer Market is a fantastic modern taphouse with a great vibe and lively atmosphere. The space is spacious and welcoming, making it ideal for both groups and casual nights out. They have an outstanding selection of beers on tap along with a well-crafted cocktail menu, and the food was equally impressive fresh, flavorful, and a perfect match for the drinks. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy good food and drinks in a fun, relaxed setting. Highly recommended!

Had a great night at CRAFT! The atmosphere was lively, the food was delicious, and Amy took amazing care of our table—she was friendly ,attentive, and made sure everything was just right.

Had a great time at Craft this week. We made a reservation as there was a concert in town that night so weren't sure how busy it would be, being so close to the arena. We got there early and were seated almost right away. The hostess was very friendly. Amy was our server and did an awesome job. She provided the right amount of attention and made some really great drink recommendations - most were surprise requests and she picked well. We had the korean ribs and pork carnitas to start which were incredibly tasty. The ribs were fall of the bone tender and full of flavor. Delicious! My son had the crispy chicken burger which was also really good. It could have been just a bit crisper but overall, he enjoyed it. The place didn't seem too loud although it did fill up pretty quick. It never seemed like we were shouting to hear each other. The bathrooms were very nice too. Overall, we enjoyed out time. Thanks again to Amy - she was awesome!
Lee — Google review
Although the physical space is great, the DJ had a good vibe going & good options on the tvs if you wanted to tune out and watch sports. The food was horrible! I haven’t had such a poor dining experience in a very long time. The prices were beyond high for such a low quality food. We were never once asked how our food was. I feel it’s b/c they know it’s not food. And the drinks were so-so. Could make them better at home. I would happily pay a high price point if the food is good but it was far from it. And sadly my friend experienced the same thing the night before and actually felt ill the next day. I will not be recommending CRAFT to anyone. It’s good to watch the game and drink a beer. That’s it. But tbh do no waste your time. Go across the street to the other restaurants and pub. Do not waste your money or time at craft.

Cocktail bar
Clementine is a charming cocktail bar that beautifully marries elegance with intimacy, making it the perfect spot for those looking to indulge in elevated drinks and delectable small bites. Nestled in Edmonton's vibrant Oliver neighborhood, this stylish venue draws inspiration from early 20th-century French Art Nouveau, creating an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and inviting. As part of Edmonton's burgeoning culinary scene, Clementine stands out not just for its aesthetic but also for its impressive drink menu.
Visited Clementine on a Friday night, and despite it being quite busy, we were seated relatively quickly. While waiting for our table, we ordered drinks at the bar, and right from the start, the cocktails were phenomenal—beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced. Once seated, we continued with a glass of champagne and another expertly mixed drink, both of which exceeded expectations. We also ordered a dozen oysters, and they were incredibly fresh—an absolute delight. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for an elevated cocktail experience. If you're looking for a refined yet welcoming cocktail bar in Edmonton, Clementine is a must-visit. Highly recommend for great drinks, fresh seafood, and top-tier service.

We stopped by for a quick drink before our dinner reservation and were thoroughly impressed. Since it was a Wednesday evening, the bar was relatively quiet, which gave us the chance to chat with the bartender. He was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through the cocktail menu, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our personal preferences. We originally planned to have just one drink, but the cocktails were so expertly crafted that we ended up ordering a second round. We tried the Los Danzantes, Patagonia, Sunomono, and Umeboshi, each one beautifully balanced, visually stunning, and aromatic. I'm not a cocktail expert, but every drink was a sensory experience. The Sunomono, in particular, stood out; its aroma immediately transported me back to my childhood summers when my (Japanese) mother would prepare sunomono at home. It was nostalgic and made me a bit giddy. 😊 The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and full of character, perfect for a relaxing evening. My only regret is not visiting sooner. We’re already looking forward to returning and exploring more of their creative and refined cocktail menu.

Fabulous unique cocktails in a romantic, wood decor. Music was great, not too loud to enable a conversation. Service staff were friendly and patiently explained the cocktails. I loved the cantaloupe flavored Natsumi cocktail. They made a custom rum old fashioned for my partner. The Patagonia cocktail made with Patagonia trakal was great.

Cozy vibe, delicious food, amazing cocktails, their (Martinis were 10/10)and friendly service. We had the beef tartare — it was tasty, though I do wish it came with bread instead of Lay’s chips. That said, the overall experience was still great! Definitely a spot I’d return to.

With new bars and restaurants always opening I think it can be easy to forget to acknowledge the ones who have been killing it daily for an over decade. And Bar Clementine truly never disappoints. Me and a couple friends were hopping around the city for cocktails and snacks, and Clementine was hands down the favourite. Our server was so much fun, the drinks were perfect and the food really hit. We had an absolute blast. So just a big thank you for continuing to stand above the rest and take to heart what hospitality is all about.

My husband and I had quite a pleasant evening at Clementines after coming across this gem whilst we were merely exploring the area; it has now become a favourite of ours. We enjoyed a variety of cocktails and shots at the bar, ordered the Charcuterie board, and, watching our bartender work his magic was the cherry on top. We look forward to returning.
Chelsea J — Google review
The atmosphere and food/drinks they serve are really aesthetically pleasing, but I didn’t think the food or the drinks were worth the price whatsoever. Most of us ordered mocktails and no matter which one we ordered, they all tasted like cough syrup. We had no complaints over the charcuterie board though, as each item on the board was delicious! That being said, their waiter was coughing quite a bit and I ended up getting covid over Christmas which was truly unfortunate (this was the only place I had gone to, as I had been working from home for 2 weeks prior to coming here). The waiter also was not the most friendly to us, but we assumed it was because they were ill and working. Personally I will not be coming here again, as I didn’t enjoy my overall experience.

The Common is a trendy gastro-lounge on 109th Street that offers a modern twist on local comfort food and serves up delicious cocktails. It's not just about the hip-hop scene, but it's known for hosting some of the best hip-hop nights in the city. The Good Information Collective has been holding Classic Hip-Hop Album nights where they play live backing tracks to iconic albums while a local rapper performs.
We loved this restaurant! We came for a date night and was pleasantly surprised at how good their food was. The prices were great too! The Chorizo Tapas was the hit of the night. Make sure you order this! The ravioli looked like a small portion but ended up being the perfect amount for me. We had the sticky toffee pudding, definite YES! We will be coming back to try more of their menu. Great service, great food and a really beat atmosphere.
Carla H — Google review
I’ve been to The Common a few times — for dinners on the patio, for intimate meals and once for a New Year’s Eve celebration — tonight was another great experience. It was a politically driven event hosted by the Synergy Group, their first since COVID (they used to organize these get together more regularly). The energy tonight was fantastic — we live in Alberta, so you can imagine the conversations — but this review is about the food and the venue, not politics! The snacks were delicious, the drinks were flowing, the conversations lively, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful, as always. The Common continues to be a reliable, welcoming place for events big and small. Great night, great food, great people.
Bruce M — Google review
The Common is THAT girl. From the vibe-y lighting to the cool, cozy aesthetic — the space already feels like a party. But when we added florals, candles, and our tablescapes, it became pure magic. We barely had to do anything — the space just worked. Kyla and her team were amazing behind the scenes. Their communication, flexibility, and support made a huge difference in our day running smoothly. And the food?! Our guests are still messaging us about how good the dinner was. It was flavorful, elevated, and plated beautifully — and somehow still came out fast and hot. Highly, highly recommend this for your wedding venue. It’s a vibe.

Got to enjoy a private event at The Common today, food was excellent! Had many different handheld foods, but the star of the show was the taco bar. Had both corn tortilla and Naan and meats were beef, chicken, pork belly and yam as a vegetarian option. Really enjoyed the chicken and waffle appetizers as well. Staff were super kind and accommodating as well.

I’ve been here several times now and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The building itself has some old charm to it. The staff are very nice and actually pay attention to you. The decor is modern and slightly eclectic. We also just recently did their high level street car event and it was a great experience and organized and carried out well. I’ve also been here for their jazz night which was super cool too.

The Common - Edmonton: Great Ambiance, Average Vegetarian Fare The Common stands out in Edmonton for its stylish ambiance and vibrant atmosphere. The industrial-chic decor, dim lighting, and upbeat vibe make it a great place to catch up with friends or enjoy a night out. Whether you're there for dinner or a DJ night, the energy is infectious. For vegetarians, however, the food can feel underwhelming. The Truffle Fries are a crowd-pleaser, perfectly crisp and flavorful. The Vegetarian Burger, while decent, lacks the wow factor you'd hope for in a main course, and the patty could use more seasoning. The Roasted Cauliflower is a bit disappointed because it smells oily. Cocktails and drinks remain decent. Unfortunately, the vegetarian menu offerings feel limited and don’t quite match the quality of the overall experience. The service is friendly and efficient, and the ambiance alone makes it worth a visit, but if you're looking for exceptional vegetarian food, you might leave a bit disappointed.

Have done their streetcar events several times now and they’re a ton of fun. I did one this past week, however, and I was really disappointed to see that your drink ticket no longer gets you a small pint of beer at the end, but instead a small thimble. You also now have to pick your thimble of beer from a smaller list of options and not the whole menu for some reason. The streetcar events are NOT cheap to go on and it just seems incredibly greedy and tacky to have switched from a pint to a thimble. Sad to see a good thing become worse as a business just tries to squeeze more money out of people.

I hosted a birthday party here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I truly cannot say enough kind words to express my gratitude to the staff at The Common. They made the planning and execution of the evening run seamlessly, going above and beyond expectations. They were attentive and so accommodating to our needs. The atmosphere was amazing ; moody, fun and welcoming. Food and drinks were great (try the Gin Fizz). Highly recommend for both private events and a night out !

The Canadian Brewhouse is a quintessential Canadian-themed restaurant and sports bar that captures the essence of a classic pub. Its diverse menu features an array of appetizers, entrees, and an extensive selection of beverages. The establishment hosts various events throughout the year, catering to community leagues and fundraisers, creating a vibrant atmosphere for locals to come together.
Just went for a Mother’s Day brunch, completely unaware that it would be free for all mothers! Wow!! what a beautiful experience. Jorgia was our server, she’s normally a bartender, but to help out she served for the day and she was amazing, my daughter‘s food took a little longer so she brought her a little bowl of tater tots to hold her over. Everything was great.5/5! Will def return!

Went on their special steak night, we ordered the steak medium rare and it came back blue rare, it was a massive steak so I can see it being under done but it was way too much, my friend sent it back twice to get it cooked further. The quality of the meat was good so that was good when we took it home and cooked it properly. I'd try out the steak night again but would be willing to wait longer for a properly cooked steak. Server was great and accommodating.

When we arrived a few of the wait staff were playing on there phones, didn't acknowledge us, while they stood at the corner of the bar and behind the bar. For only being 3 seated tables in the establishment it was very dirty with food on the floor all along the high top booths. Makes me wonder if the front of the house is in this kinda shape whats the back of the house look like

Aislin was genuinely one of the best servers I’ve had in years. Cups full, genuine conversation, good vibes. I’ve worked in the industry for over 13 years and I’d offer her a job any day at one of my locations. Brewhouse has never been a spot for myself but she made me reconsider; I’ve actually avoided this location because of service before, but she could save the place. Gold star, keep her around

Terrible experience. We waited over 30 minutes for our food on a night when the restaurant was half full. When it finally arrived, the kitchen waitress literally dumped the plates on the table without cutlery, turned and left. We flagged down our table waitress and asked for cutlery and she brought 1 knife/1 fork for 2 people! Once we finally got cutlery for both of us, we tasted the food which was lukewarm and had clearly been sitting on some kitchen shelf for at least 15 minutes . The burger patty was so black and hard it was disgusting; the fries limp and tasteless. We spoke to the manager who cleared the food from our table and who offered us another opportunity to order food. We declined and she took the food off our bill. We paid for our drinks and left disappointed. We certainly will not be back.

Olivia was quite possibly the best waitress I've ever had. She certainly is the only one that has gotten a 25% from me. Keep up the amazing work.... Canadian Brewhouse on its own is good too. The amount of ribs you get on Monday for $9.99 is astounding. Almost too many. I'd highly recommend a meal at Brewhouse

Olivia was great! Here with my little man for dinner. The kids meal was incredible. The pricing was great. But the service was the best. Comfortable, catered, to and happy. Thank you so much to Olivia!.

Was excited that prime rib is on special, but unfortunately, it happened to be the worst prime rib I’ve ever had in my life lots of grissle and very tough. The poutine tater supreme, and the Yorkie bites were just fine. The rest of the table enjoyed their food. I did email the manager as he asked below, but he did not respond.

Kelly's Pub in Edmonton is a vibrant hangout known for its exposed brick walls and clever pub grub. It's a popular spot for catching sports on TV and enjoying great happy hour deals. The venue also boasts an inviting outdoor patio where guests can soak in the lively city atmosphere. As part of the Sherlock Holmes Hospitality Group, Kelly's Pub takes pride in serving high-quality food sourced from local suppliers, offering a menu featuring fresh ingredients from nearby bakeries and cheese factories.
Love going to this bar after a concert or a hockey game. I swear Kelly's has the best tasting Guiness in town. Must be the way they pour it. Chicken wings are awesome too!

Maybe 3.5 Stars. It has a classic pub feel. There were TVs with sports shows. They had NFL specials too. And Happy hour was 11 to 3PM I think. Food was good. Drinks were better. A bee dove into one of our drinks and they were kind enough to replace it. Nice people! They had outside tables so our dog was with us. Wheelchair ♿️ accessible. Will we go back, probably not. But please note I do not drink alcohol.
Dr. R — Google review
Kelly’s Pub is a vibrant, busy spot—especially on Oilers game nights. It’s clearly a popular place in this part of the downtown core, and I’ve been here before. The nachos have always been solid but tonight, we tried the dry ribs and two kinds of chicken wings. The ribs were great however, I’m taking off a star for the wings. Unfortunately, they were par -cooked and in this this day and age, there’s really no excuse not to serve wings fresh cooked from scratch—especially at a place with a strong reputation like this establishment. Poorly cooked wings are a deal-breaker for me. On the positive side, the service was great. Our server was friendly and let us know about their half-price wine nights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, which was a nice surprise. If the wings improve and are made fresh, I’d gladly update this review and give back that lost star.

Went here for food and drinks. Good place to grab a beer but service was super slow and the place was not very busy, but maybe they were understaffed? Food was not good at all…the garlic cheese bread seemed old. The bottom of dough and crust was super dry like they just reheated an old bread (reference picture) . The cheese dip it came with tasted like tostitos nacho cheese dip in an unpleasant way and it took about 10 minutes to get ranch when we hailed down the server mid meal. There was also a hair on the steak sandwich we realized after and neither of the two at the table have black hair ( as seen in picture). We did not bother mentioning it to the server as we had to leave and didn’t want to wait around after already paying for the bill since service was slow. So if you want to go for a beer, it’s great but I would not recommend the food or if you want quick service.
Mary M — Google review
Went with a bigger party during an oilers game and couldn’t have been more ecstatic about the energy of the pub! It was busy and the food and drinks were coming quick despite all the people ordering there. I will say our server was a bit impolite and pushy but I’ll blame it on how busy the place was. The food was pretty good, got the poutine and a cocktail on the side. Some of the other dishes featured were also great!

Came in for a late lunch. Upon arriving we weren’t greeted initially and then was asked to seat ourselves, which was understandable since the waitress was working alone. The atmosphere was very much pub like, with jerseys on the walls and I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. When I worked closer to Kelly’s, this was our go to lunch spot, however it’s been a few years. My partner ordered the nachos with ground beef. He mentioned that the beef was quite greasy, and it definitely needed more cheese. I also have to note that extra sour cream was $3.75, which is kind of wild! I ordered the chicken Cesar salad, which was good, however I did find the chicken to be a bit tough and overcooked. Overall 3.5/5. Still definitely worth checking out!

A few friends and I went for drinks and Nachos on last Friday night. When I asked the server how big the Nachos were? , she was very rude. Her respond was " They are nachos, like in every bar you go" and was avoiding to let us know the size until I asked several times. Then after we order Nachos, she came back with a set of plates for us, but she dropped the plates on the corner of the table like if she was doing us a favor. Other of my friends asked for printed menus, but she didn't care an responded to my friend " That's why you scan the codes" in a sarcastic way. The bar is okay, but definetely a lot to do on their customer service. It seems a regular opinion so hope management take care of it.

What a gem! This place is not only visually stunning but also offers incredible food and top-notch service. Baiju SLAPS!! This is hands-down one of the coolest spots in Edmonton. I 100% guarantee you won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere? Bomb 💣. The winterized patio is a total vibe—with a stunning mural, live DJ, and a crowd full of effortlessly cool people. Friday night energy here is classy meets chic. Cocktails are fun, flirty, colourful, and insanely tasty. Food? My friends and I shared several dishes, and every single one exceeded expectations. Absolute flavour fest. The staff was approachable and friendly. You can tell this place runs on strong team energy—runners, bussers, and servers all stepping in where needed. It feels like the ownership group is tight-knit and genuinely passionate about the experience. It shows. Bring your friends if you want to impress!!

This lovely spot is in a great location, right around the corner from Roger's Place. It has quirky fun decor with a warm, low light indoor dining area and a sunny outdoor patio. They play awesome old style rap. The bar was very full and understandably why! They churn out delicious cocktails, favourites being Baijiu Barbie & Last Days in Vietnam. The good was delicious!! We particularly loved the deviled tea eggs (so different) and the dumplings. The Bao was fabulous with the nicest texture. The shrimp spiced chicken wings were good but the portion was huge not leaving much space for anything else. We'll definitely be back. A new favorite

Baiju is a must-try in Edmonton! ⭐ The shrimp bao was my favorite, followed by the pork, with chicken last on my list. Every bao had its own unique flavor. Don’t forget the chili mayo—it takes them to another level! Plus, the service was outstanding—warm, fast, and welcoming.

A speakeasy behind the bookcase. Limited seating inside. Luckily they have patio which has much greater vibe than on the inside. Limited menu and still Drinks and Food was good. Service was pleasant too. Ordered Chicken Skewers and Chicken Bao. For veg we got the Flatbread and the Chip and Dip. For Cocktails we got Mule and Sangria and were great. Got White wine recommended by the server which was good. Also got couple of Beers. All in all it was a good experience. Must try!

Great place for drinks and snackies. The oysters on shell were an awesome 😎 price and super fresh. I had a great 👍 custom made cocktail 🍹 which I thoroughly enjoyed. Ambiance was completely on par. Love the speakeasy feel and, the service. Honestly, menu items were a bit pricey and, as were 🍷 drinks. I would love 💕 to see a bit more happy hour items offered. Most definitely will return and, enjoy 😊 your great 😊 patio. Thank you for giving my son a memorable birthday 🎂

I am born and raised in Edmonton. 29 years old. Love to visit as many Edmonton restaurants/lounges as I can. I always come back to places that me and my friends have great moments/times at. Alchemy is by far the place I come back to the most, and a big reason is because of Riley. Absolutely amazing service. Me and my friends told him our name the first time we went there, and it was only for 20 minutes during the oilers playoff hype. He remembered me and all my friends, and always made sure we were having a great time. That’s very rare in this day and age. The entire staff is always so accommodating, and helpful, and are always there for their customers. Riley is a big reason we always come back whenever we are downtown, and will continue to be. I hope he becomes part of management, because the hospitality he shows us is out of this world. Secret menu item is a matcha espresso martini, that he invented. Would highly recommend ordering it. It’s absolutely amazing.

The entire service from head to toe was absolutely amazing! My wife and I went out for a cute, late night date and were greeted by two lovely women at the door which was covered by a bunch of books and looked absolutely amazing and discrete! Unfortunately, there was no spot in the actual bar, so we had to wait a while in the extension room, which wasn’t a big deal because maybe 15 minutes later they found some room to sit us in the main bar area. We were greeted by Hudson, the bartender making drinks behind the bar! Hudson is an absolute gem and treated us like family that we’ve known for quite some time! Super nice, super down to earth, and very attentive to our needs. I asked him to surprise me with a drink made with blue curaçao, which is my absolute favourite type of alcohol and it was outstandingly delicious! Would definitely come back again with friends and family and I’ll make sure that Hudson is there prior to arriving! What a great dude and what a great place! 10/10 GO HUDSON GO!!

This is a really cool and upscale speakeasy (I’d just call it a bar)! It’s nice for a fancy cocktail and there were some really interesting options! We loved trying new ones. Considering that it’s upscale, in the Marriott and such, the prices aren’t shocking to me but if you’re looking for affordable fancy cocktails this isn’t the place for you. Our servers were very attentive! The food was small in portion and underwhelming but tasty!
Vanessa L — Google review
We recently visited this establishment, expecting to cap off the night with what we assumed to be a elegant and upscale cocktail bar. From the start, the hostess and server were not in alignment with available seating and services, this set the stage for the remainder of night. Due to air quality issues, arrangements were made to move patrons from the patio to indoors. We were notified by our server that a table in the private room had been made available to us and once we were ready someone would come and accompany us to said seating. Upon relocating indoors, we were seated at a completely different room and table than what was assured without notification. A low light to what was otherwise a night filled with highs. Will not and cannot recommend any dignified person to subject themselves to that kind of service.

Evolution Wonderlounge is Edmonton's sole year-round club dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, offering a vibrant atmosphere with regular drag and burlesque shows. The interior boasts colorful lighting and dynamic music, creating an exhilarating experience for patrons. This gay bar welcomes everyone with its fun cocktails, lively vibe, and entertaining events such as karaoke, trivia nights, and dancing. It's a communal and welcoming space where people of all orientations can have a good time.
I was a bartender in this location when it was Play and Rob and the crew has done a lot to make it look and feel so much more like a fun place to hang out or dance it all away. The shows I've been to here have always been great but I am SO excited for the new location.

The night started out great! Our server named Chance was really friendly and professional! The customers were friendly towards us despite the fact that we are straight. However an hour later it all went downhill. Tyrone was the best singer in the house! Despite that he was taken off the karaoke list and the host put several new singers ahead of him. After spending money on food and drinks he only got to perform one song. The food was horrible, we shared a pizza with tons of thick cheese. It was was so bad, I had to take it off in order to eat a piece. We will not go back!!!! Worst karaoke host we have ever encountered!

Evolution has always been a safe and welcoming place in my experience. I've enjoyed lots of fun nights out dancing and entertaining drag shoes over the years. I haven't been there in a while since I became disabled. I heard the new location is accessible so I will be checking it out in the next few weeks and leave an updated review. Can't wait!

I really wanted to love the new evolution location, especially because it’s one of the only gay bars in the city. Unfortunately my friend and I had the worst time. When we got there on a Friday night, the place was dead but we stayed to see if it would pick up. When we went to grab a drink, there were 4 people behind the bar but only one person was actually serving - the rest of the staff appeared to be polishing glasses or doing absolutely nothing. It was really bizarre. So we lined up to get our drink (from the 1 bartender serving) for about 10mins. Finally got our drink and went upstairs to check it out. Ended up having an amazing time chatting with a couple upstairs only to be told 20mins later that we had to leave because they were closing the section we were sitting in. We could have easily stayed and spent money while we were upstairs (it was so fun!) but instead had to leave because this massively over staffed bar had to shut down the one section where we were having a nice time. I’ve never seen so many people working at a bar and doing absolutely nothing with so few patrons. On top of that, it just seemed like they were actively trying to not take our money or make the night enjoyable. It seems like a bad business model and it was a weird experience overall.
Allie J — Google review
I went to this location a couple of times. The food has been so average; I don’t understand why they put so much salt in everything. Service was often mediocre, long wait lines, not enough barmen, and the drinks have been not so good to my taste. For example the cocktails tasted like nothing; I ended up just ordering bottled drinks, at least with those I know what to expect. Besides the below average drinks, food and service, the ambiance was actually pretty nice. I’d probably go back again!
Mohammed B — Google review

Live music venue
The Commercial Hotel-Blues On Whyte Pub is a casual spot with a dance floor and pool tables, offering live blues music most weekends. It's a popular venue for beers and live bands, making it an ideal destination for adults over the age of 25. The pub is known for its commitment to excellence in service and safety, as demonstrated by its accreditation through the Best Bar None program.
Ah man! Back in my years living here in Edmonton I would frequent this establishment on a weekly basis. I have a lot of great memories there. But I was really amazed at the fabulous patio that they created during Covid. It wasn’t open at the time of this writing but a friend of mine who knows the staff was able to show me. Incredible. 👍😎

Went on Saturday for the patio opening. It was absolutely beautiful day. The live singer was absolutely amazing. The service was great. And the only thing missing is they don't serve food and it's cash only. Only reason I gave a four-star. I'll definitely be back and bringing lots of people

Average stay. Staff were helpful. However the stay is a little on the pricier side for a pub style accommodation. Music til late in the bar makes it somewhere that I would recommend earplugs for those who are not heavy sleepers. Other than that, the location is very central to anyone in town for a weekend or to experience some of Edmonton nightlife so it really is a spot that will suit some trips rather than others. Overall decent stay. 3.5/5

Fun on the patio. Good band followed by an even better second band. Security guys here were a pain as usual. My daughter purchased a drink in a plastic pail and they refused to let her bring to the empty out...that left a bad taste in our mouth. How much did that plastic souvenir cost vs the bad feelings. Other than these guys the actual people who come here are friendly, welcoming folks who are here for a good time. Our server was lovely. Our bartender was quick.

Always a good time at Blues on Whyte! Went with some friends last night, many of us turned 50 this year. The crowd there is more our age range and the band sounded great!
Craig T — Google review
For a place that has such a great name for live music, the sound was pretty bad. I could hear speakers cracking and the bass was way to high. Couldn't hear the sax player half the time and It took the sound guy until the bands last set before they actually sounded good and that was probably helped by the drinks I had. The band seemed pretty tight, the sound did not. Also, if you don't get a table, there are a lot of pillars between the bar and stage which makes it hard to see from a lot of the rest of the bar. Great service at the bar!

Fu's Repair Shop is a unique restaurant located at 10524 Jasper Avenue in Edmonton. The establishment offers a variety of dining options, including dim sum brunch and an extensive selection of small eats such as peach shrimp and tangerine meatballs. Additionally, the menu features a wide range of main dishes, including fried rice and noodles. However, what sets Fu's Repair Shop apart is its exceptional dumplings.
We came here on a Saturday night and made it just in time for food orders. We were a bit hesitant to order because the menu had no photos and it was difficult to follow because some foods had Chinese names and not very elaborate descriptions. We ordered most of the things off the late night menu and let me tell you... It did not disappoint! Literally every single thing we ordered was spot on and delicious! The flavours were perfect and we were so impressed with the quality. The prices were a bit high for what we got but honestly, it was worth the splurge to try what we had. The pork and shrimp dim sum was unreal with the truffle and flakes. My favorite I think was the noodle dish; had a nice sweet and spicy kick. The fried rice with shrimp was also a killer!! Unexpectedly the cheapest item, chive pancakes ($6) were surprisingly amazing and super savoury. I definitely recommend to come here for a late night drink and munch. Also as a bonus, beautiful interior and spotless bathrooms. Very chic and will be back next time when in Edmonton! Thank you for having us!

What a cool place to dine in! Decor and vibe are 5 stars. Food was deserving of a 4. Bao gochujang appetizer was so delicious and the dumplings too. Chow fan fried rice we ordered with braised beef was spicier than I thought but the Peachy shrimp was delicious. I wouldn’t order the man Tao dessert again, disappointing in flavour. Sachi, our server, was great!! Must try this place

She was so patient and kind with our group of almost 20, was constantly ensuring we had all we needed, and was very gracious in helping determine what on the menu was allergy free for one of the group. She truly went above and beyond for us and she deserves all of the flowers. The food was slightly disappointing for me. I ordered the Shanghai Noodles and was anticipating a more savoury dish but it ended up being almost bitter tasting. However, the service and atmosphere made up for the tastelessness of the dish and I will come back again to try other items on the menu.

Trendy place, good food Cocktails are pricey, $15 for a tiny drink, but looks really amazing. Parking is hard, better uber if you are planning to drink. Pretty sure no free parking on the street. $2 per hour?

Made a quick stop for apps and drinks. Decent food and drinks. Ordered the truffle siu mai and soup dumplings. Unfortunately one of the dumplings lost all of it's soup 🥲 Feels a bit overpriced though.

My friends and I came to fu’s for a night out and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, the vibes were perfect, and everything just came together so well. A hugeeeee shoutout to our server, Solaya, she went above and beyond for us. She was super friendly, funny, and interactive the entire time, which made the night even better. You could really tell she cared about making sure we had a good experience. Thanks to her, the whole evening felt fun and relaxed. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time!

The Pint Public House is a beer-centric pub that feels young and fun, with a variety of daily specials to put in your calendar. It's great for hanging out with friends, or if you're looking for an affordable night out.
This bar has a great weekend vibe! The atmosphere is lively, and the house liquor is surprisingly good. However, I wasn’t too impressed with the cocktails — the taste seemed artificial, likely due to added food coloring. The music was enjoyable, and they had a dance floor later in the night, which added to the fun. That said, the volume was a bit too loud for my taste. Also, the bathroom could definitely use more attention in terms of cleanliness.
Mahdieh A — Google review
The Pint Downtown offers solid pub-style food with great daily specials, making it a good spot to grab a casual meal or drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming and works well for anyone looking for a relaxed bite during the day. That said, the nightlife scene caters mostly to a younger crowd (18–22), so it gets quite loud and energetic once the evening hits. If that’s your scene, you’ll enjoy it here. If you’re looking for a quieter spot with a more mature crowd, this might not be the best fit.

I was here with my son tonight and made a mistake of ordering the large machos. Ok, they were disgustingly large (in the best and worst way). I got extra cheese and salsa, and it came with a little tub of nacho cheese also! Good value? Absolutely. But cheap cheese hits different when it goes cold—and not in a good way. There was SO. MUCH. CHEESE. If there are two of you, have a half order. Do yourself a favour—and, if you get the large, do not order wings with it. I repeat: only get the large nachos if you’ve got four people and a solid game plan that involved not eating all day. That said, happy hour deals all day Sunday—$5 sleeves of beer, $5 hard liquor from the well. Can’t complain if you’re into a good Sunday of drinkin. The place was kind of a ghost town (long weekend Sunday), but we had a good time watching the Leafs game in peace. If the Oilers were on, maybe it would’ve had more of a buzz. All in all? Not a bad spot. Not a regular spot for me—why? Cuz I’m old.
Bruce M — Google review
Great pub for cheering on the Oilers. They have a large outdoor patio area with 5 TVs for watching the game. It was perfect. Good choice of wing flavors too!

The service was excellent. The food was good. The Chicken Tender meal should be a little cheaper. The price point should be nearer to 15.00. The Steak Sandwich was done as ordered. Price point at 23.00 is fair. A baked potato option would be better than fries. Overall the meal was delicious.

Its a good place dont get me wrong But the staff need to stop talking to each other and Just staying on that one side of the bar. You are left waiting 15 - 20 minutes all the time to get a drink cause they just want to stand around talking with the other staff.. Bar should be a bit more open so they can see if a customer walks in and serve them instead of having to walk around to get someone's attention. Not when it's busy. That's understandable, it's when it is quite and they all Just want to be Joking and Laughing among them selves in their little corner.

I couldn’t believe it took 40 minutes for someone to come to our table and take our order. We almost wanted to leave. It was St Pats day, the place was not full. I couldn’t see any sense of urgency from the servers. The table next to us got served even though we arrived first. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It felt like we were invisible. We were probably too kind to wait patiently. I was confused, and luckily not hungry. Fortunately, the food was great. We ordered bbq wings and pizza. I’m satisfied with the food, the atmosphere, but the service? No. That’s why I’m giving 2 stars. I don’t see myself coming back to this bar. It was worth a try, though. And oh, I find it odd that someone was manning the washroom. 🤣 She poured soap on my palm, and handed me a sheet of paper towel. 🤣🤣 Unfortunately that doesn’t make me wanna add a star to my review. What a weirdly unique experience!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Whyte Avenue, The Black Dog Freehouse is a lively tavern that perfectly captures the essence of a classic pub experience. With its relaxed ambiance and an eclectic mix of local DJ music on weekends, it’s an ideal spot for both locals and visitors to unwind. One of its standout features is the Woof-top patio, celebrated as one of the finest rooftop spaces in Edmonton—perfect for basking in sunshine or enjoying warm evenings under the stars.
I’ve been here many times but the last time was the most memorable. I had gone downstairs towards the bathrooms, casual as any other visit. I was about to enter, when I suddenly spotted a small gnome (a literal gnome, the folklore creature). In my culture, gnomes are either a sign of good fortune or of impending doom. I wagered my options as he laughed and disappeared into a small puff of smoke in front of my very eyes, and I quickly used the bathrooms and returned upstairs to finish my drink. It’s been nearly two weeks now and I haven’t had any signs of good fortune or of impending doom, and I hope it isn’t the latter. I hope my five star review puts me in good favour with the gnomes, and invites others to do the same so that we could all benefit from the gnomes. Thank you

Ah the Black Dog! When I lived here in Edmonton way back when it was one of my favourite places to go. The ambience and atmosphere were special and the happy hour prices were great! It still has the same appeal after all these years though my only gripe is that the music seems a bit louder. It does hold a special place in my heart because it’s where I met my better half 😌

An Edmonton classic. The atmosphere is amazing. The rooftop patio is my favourite place to sit, but there's plenty of seating on the main floor, there's also a back patio, and on busy nights they open up the bottom floor for events. They have dart boards, and host live music frequently. The beer prices are the best in the city. It's bar service only and they don't have a kitchen, but you're allowed to bring/order in your own food.

This place used to be a good bar until they started banning people for no reason. I have a few indigenous friends who have been banned for absolutely no reason at all. Seems like a pattern for them because most of the people have been either indigenous or of culture.

I love this bar but tonight Tanisha (bartender black hair) yelled at me and my friends and threaten to kick us out after a bald regular threw us into girls beside us while trying to get drinks and sides with him even though we respectfully asked him to slide by to get to the bar. He claimed he worked at the bar which I found out he didn’t and they both were insanely disrespectful to our whole group who was doing their best to manage a busy bar. I’ve come here for over ten years and have never felt so disrespected and unappreciated as a person who spends tons of money and refers many people to the place. Very disappointed in the service by tanisha tonight.

Went here for the first time the other day, it’s an interesting vibe… they don’t accept cash to get in, and their cover charge is quite high, so if you don’t have cash you have to stand in the longest line ever to take cash out of their atm machine. The front entry staff were also pretty rude to my friends for no reason. It’s also very very dark in here you can hardly see anything at all. There is a dance floor and the music was okay, but it was sort of disco/afro beats not mainstream music or even really the club music you’d expect or at least I was used to dancing to. Didn’t loveeee the vibes in here.

Hello, I visited your bar yesterday and had a very upsetting experience with a member of your security team. The individual had a shaved head and was seemingly in charge. He approached me aggressively, pulled me aside, and accused me of being intoxicated and speaking to people I "didn’t know." He then called over another security guard, who is Black. When I asked them to bring over the people I was speaking with to clarify the situation, they were unable to do so. I felt humiliated and singled out without any valid reason. This raises a serious concern for me: Was I treated this way because I’m Black? Am I not allowed to speak with others or enjoy your venue equally as other customers? I’m reaching out to understand your policy on how guests are treated and how your team handles such situations. I hope that your establishment values fairness, respect, and equal treatment for all guests regardless of race. I would appreciate a response and hope you take this concern seriously.

The Bower completely saved our night! After leaving another bar with a seriously off vibe, my girlfriends and I decided to give The Bower a shot and wow, what a game changer. It was my first time there, and I honestly haven't danced like that in ages! The energy, the music, the crowd it all just clicked. If you're looking for a spot to truly let loose and dance the night away, this is the place. Highly recommend checking it out!

Dark, moody, and atmospheric speakeasy, with a fun dance floor as well as plush armchairs to relax in. Their Chameleon Negroni was flavorful and strong. There's a $9 cover charge unless you get in on a guest list.

Booked reservations via email, response was super prompt. Arrived and found free parking nearby. We were seated quickly at a small table for two. Good starting position. We ordered cocktails, an old fashioned and chameleon rum drink, they were perfect. So we also ordered the olives and tomato crostini, a perfect lil snack, and the basil was fresh. Our hostess was absolutely fantastic and got us a booth which was facing the dance floor. Where the DJ was spinning it up with a wide array of music. So we could hit the dance floor at any moment, then settle back in for a refreshment. The bartender was on point and by about 2330 the place was packing up. The atmosphere is unreal, the various seating areas are one of the best parts about it. I will go back on a single date, or a group of friends. The price matches what you get out of the experience. Worth every penn... nickel. It's only open a couple nights a week. And that works for me. So make an excuse and go if you haven't, and let me know how the grilled cheese is.. Cheers

The Sherlock Holmes Pub Downtown is a Victorian-influenced local pub chain with a strong emphasis on wood and leather in its interior design. With multiple locations in Edmonton, it aims to be a neighborhood cornerstone where patrons can enjoy the game, relax with a pint, and savor timeless pub fare. The establishment offers an authentic Irish pub experience with Guinness, Jameson, and classic Irish-inspired dishes.
We stopped by Sherlock Holmes Pub for brunch on a Saturday during St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and it was a great experience. It wasn’t too busy around noon, and our server was super friendly, welcoming, and gave us excellent service right from the start. They offered a brunch menu that runs until 2 PM, which was a nice surprise. I tried the Eggs Benedict Yorkshire—a unique twist with scrambled eggs and a cheesy-style hollandaise. It was rich, flavorful, and surprisingly good. My wife had the Eggs and Bangers, and she especially loved the potatoes that came with it. We also ordered a couple of Caesars, which were perfectly mixed and really hit the spot. Overall, we had a great time. Cozy atmosphere, good food, great drinks, and fantastic service. I’d definitely come back again—especially in the evening when I imagine the place really comes alive!

I’ve been coming to the original Sherlock Holmes location for so long I can’t even remember when it started. Hockey games, client meetings, Robbie Burns most years — this place has been part of all of it. Tonight was a hockey night, game started late, so I dropped in for a quick snack before the first. Turns out it was talent night — anyone could get up and sing, it seems. I don’t know… there were a couple of good voices, and we didn’t stay long. I mostly stuck with appetizers. Wings and dry ribs were on special, about the dry ribs — these are an Edmonton legend, straight outta David’s on Argyll. The menu even pays homage to that old institution. They were good, no complaints there. The wings? Par-cooked, I wanna say. And yeah, I find a lot of spots in the city do this when wings are on special. It’s a bit bothersome, not gonna lie. But the star of the show tonight? Beef Stuffed Mini Yorkshire Puddings. Hearty-ish. Tasty. Flavourful. Great value. Total win. There are a handful of independently owned Sherlocks around Edmonton, but this is the one I always find myself coming back to. It’s got history, good memories, and the vibe of an old pub is charming, nice patio too.

A top pub. Great service, friendly staff. Atmosphere was nice. Great selection of beers. Best Guinness I've had in Canada.

Good service from the waitress. However the food was not the dry ribs need more seasoning and my burger was over cooked. However I did get another burger for free. The atmosphere however is something else. It has the vibes of an old Irish pub from the 1900s. By the way I ordered a mushroom Swiss chicken sandwich. Also dry ribs and chicken wings.

My friends and I come for Trivia every Wednesday. It is always so much fun; we love it. The vibes are always great because it’s such a fun activity. In the past we have not always had the most amazing service experience… However this week we had Destiny as our server. She crushed it. We have never had better a better experience at our table. She was bubbly and kind. She quality checked us after every item arrived and always made sure we had drinks and food in hand. She had a full section with large parties and you never would have guessed. She went out of her way to crack jokes and make us feel comfortable. Thanks Destiny and Team!

We opted today for lunch at Sherlock Holmes Pub over the busy Taste of Edmonton, drawn by its relaxed and inviting atmosphere. This iconic British pub remains a downtown favorite, offering a generous menu of classic comfort food and a wide range of drinks. The chicken pot pie was outstanding! A special shout out to Amanda, our wonderful server, whose friendly and attentive service truly elevated our experience. She mentioned that a mention in a review might earn her a free lunch—well deserved! We’ve included a couple of photos with her (with permission, of course) to celebrate the great service. What makes this place even more meaningful is the owner’s commitment to raising funds for ovarian cancer—a cause close to many hearts. It’s rare to find a spot that blends great food, warm hospitality, and community spirit so seamlessly. Bravo to Amanda and the entire team at Sherlock Holmes Pub. We’ll be back soon! Fantastic choice of craft beers on tap, with all of the info on each beer on the digital signs. Great atmosphere and Scenery. We tried a couple different quirky pizzas and 2 unusual types of wings and all were terrific.

If anything come here for the fantastic beer selection. Usually quite the variety of brews from different breweries on tap. And it's a delight to try them all. Not to mention thier food is also top notch. The notables for me are thier wings and the pizza. Thier wing flavours are delightful and my favourite has to be the fill pickle wings. And thier pizza is just, thin crisp crust, with a wonderful crushed tomato sauce, and the toppings are phenomenal. Service staff are so fun to chat with and they know thier stuff! Will always be back!

They also have a lot of different drinks, but I haven't tried any (not very into drinking), but I feel tempted to try some of them because they seem so unique

The Confederation Lounge & Patio at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton offers a unique and luxurious experience for cocktail enthusiasts. Renowned for its elevated beverage menu, the lounge boasts a carefully curated selection of spirits, including the rare Dalmore whisky collection. Situated in a historical site with recent renovations, the lounge provides a glimpse into Edmonton's past while offering exclusive sips.
I came by to the Confederation Lounge to have a drink after walking around the riverside. While I didn't order any food during the stay I did have a few drinks and the place was during a slower portion of the day and I enjoyed my time there. I want to recognize Dave, who was very welcoming and explained the drink menu well, and came to check in several times. He offered an exceptional level of service. I will be looking forward to coming back when the patio is open and look to try the extended menu. I believe the price during Happy Hour was fair priced and for the type of establishment this location is, the cocktails were also fair valued.

This was our first visit on April 4, 2025, for lunch at 12:30. The service was decent, and Michelle was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The appetizers were excellent—full of flavor and beautifully presented. 5/5. The salmon lacked taste, but the accompanying sauce helped make it passable. 3/5. The beef rib plate had an appealing presentation, but the meat was tough, of inferior quality, and lacked flavor. Every bite needed to be dipped in the gravy to be enjoyable. 3/5. Dessert was disappointing. Our selected item was unavailable, and we were instead recommended “Pariss”—an oatmeal paste in a dry pastry. While it was nicely assembled, it was nearly flavorless, aside from a little caramel and two small pieces of chocolate. 0/5.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Confederation Lounge tonight, and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was nothing short of magnificent; every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The highlight of our meal was the chocolate hazelnut martini dessert, which definitely took the cake! It was one of the best desserts I’ve had to date—rich, creamy, and so so tasty! Highly recommend this dessert. The service was equally impressive. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. While I regret not catching his name, I want to give him a heartfelt shout-out for his fantastic service. The ambiance was lovely, enhanced by the perfect weather, which made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable night, and I highly recommend the Confederation Lounge for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

This was last May and I wasn’t able to take note of the official names of our food but I believe we had croquettes, chicken wings, and pumpkin soup. As for the drinks, we had the espresso martini and white wine. I liked the wings and the croquettes. As for the pumpkin soup, it was rich in flavor and it was truly a puree. Personally, I prefer my pumpkin soup with a little bit of milk and sweetness to it. However, it was still nicely done. The drinks were also good. Service was nice. I felt a little judgment from some staff when we came in, but our server was nice. The highlight, I would say, is the atmosphere. I love how it gives you a view of Downtown Edmonton. The facade of the hotel itself and the tasteful interior design brings the lounge to another level. It is Fairmont so it is expected.

It was a nice evening in this place, I really like the atmosphere in there. The interior is extremely fancy, what i really liked. Coffee is good in there but desserts are not that good, they are okay but nothing special as I expected. Also it took some time to have a chance to talk with waiter which is not really good. Overall good place for meetings if you want to feel this fancy vibe.

I took the family I nanny out for dinner and had a wonderful experience!! I showed up later to give them some time to have dinner alone and Kae took excellent care of them from quick and efficient service to allowing me to pay the bill when they were fighting me for it! As someone who enjoys treating the people I love out, it was very appreciated! We were the last ones out on the patio (around 10 pm— it’s getting chilly now and there was heated lamps and blankets handed out so we could stay as long as we wanted whilst remaining cozy!) and we didn’t feel rushed at all to move back inside. We ended up ordering wings— crispy and seasoned to perfection as well as oysters, a quality comparable to any coastal region! I’m from B.C and not a big fan of pacific oysters as I find them too brined but these bad boys are from the east coast! Steak frites was unreal and cooked to perfection and the chicken panino was one of the best chicken sandwiches we’ve had in awhile! That alongside frosty mugged beer and perfectly crisp veuve, it was a meal none of us will forget for a while! Thank you fairmont team for assisting us in a delightful evening!

Central Social Hall, located in downtown Edmonton, is a vibrant gastropub with an industrial-chic interior. It's a great place to hang out with friends or even by yourself at the bar. The pub encourages conversation among patrons and offers various drink specials throughout the week. Additionally, it features high definition TVs for entertainment.
We had our 23 person wedding ceremony and reception at Central in November and they were absolutely fabulous! We looked at a number of restaurant venues to host the event and went back to central just three weeks before the date after another venue was being unaccommodating. We’re so glad how everything worked out, the staff there was amazing and everyone raved about the food and cocktails. I would absolutely recommend hosting an event here. Every email we sent was returned promptly and politely and they just said yes to every request we had. Vance had custom menus printed for our event which included custom his and her cocktails. They let us come into the space and set everything up the morning of, helped with the tear down and even stored all of our decor from the night before to the day after. They are awesome here!

Salmon was dry but if you toss the whole plate together like a salad its pretty good.. Soup served with a coffee spoon? And the drinks are about 80% ice. Kettle chips looked like bottom of the bag chips, but the dip was good. Took my tiramisu home to eat since it was frozen when served. Ice cream was delicious though! Next time ask the guest if they want the ice cream instead of not offering it since it's built into the price of the 3 course meal.

Service was great! The food on the other hand was disappointing. The chicken burger I ordered was sad. The chicken was so thin I could almost see through it and who wants shoestring fries other than a five year old. The gravy is not gravy, it’s like water with color. The ONLY bathroom in this place is absolutely appalling! Toilet paper, toilet paper wrappers and empty rolls scattered on the floor. The water sits in the sink after washing your hands.

We enjoyed our food. Both myself and my friend have dietary restrictions and there are still several dishes to choose from. The fish and chips batter does not have dairy in it, in case you need to know! And it's good. Lettuce burger "buns" are available and there are vegan and vegetarian dishes. My friend enjoyed the poke bowl, though a bit spicy for their taste. So if you're used to no spice it's a bit much but otherwise very tasty. Service was friendly and prompt. Bathrooms are impressive.

Food was fantastic, service was quick and on top of all of our drinks. It was an absolute great environment for a night out with friends. Will definitely be going back. They also have a great private room for events.

Central Social Hall is a for sure go-to bar in Edmonton, and a big part of that is because of the incredible team that always makes you feel welcomed. Andrew, Gus, Alex, Courtney, Maryanne, and Maddy all bring such great energy—it’s clear they love what they do, and it makes a difference. Every time I’m here, I get personal, friendly service that lifts my mood and makes the night better. The positive vibe and welcoming atmosphere keep me coming back 🎶 🍺

Best thing on the menu, the wings, hands down. But sad to say, I ordered a total of 6 dishes, 4 appetizers and 2 desserts. If I were to give my honest opinion of this place I’d simply say that the appetizers are not worth the price considering the quality of the food. The wings were $19…which is costly, but as I mentioned, it was the best tasting one. The tempura sushi, which is a featured menu item should be removed, $18 for sushi that has barely any protein on it should be criminal. You may as well walk across the street and visit the Japanese restaurant for sushi that’s better in value and taste. Gyoza’s were good, however I felt as if the wasabi sauce was overpowering and was way too much. Guacamole was interesting, definitely a different style of dish. Now onto the service I received while at this restaurant. Our waitress felt like she was always rushing, I found myself waiting 30 minutes to get the attention from a server to order another drink, and I had my glass empty and it should’ve been a clear signal to the staff that I wanted another one, especially since I had the drink menu in my hand and kept raising my hand to make a motion to the waitress. I understand that I came on a game night, and it was busy with other customers, but if this restaurant knows that they get fairly busy on game nights then they should prepare for the anticipated rush and have more staff. I ultimately felt that as a customer we weren’t prioritized and the service aspect heavily lacked here. Short story, if you’re coming here for a dining night out, maybe pick another spot, or don’t come here on a game night. But if you’re coming for a night of cocktails, this is a decent pick.

Really good location and wide variety of seating for a sports bar, that it almost doesn't feel like one.

Bündok is a stylish restaurant located on 4th Street Promenade in the Ice District of downtown Edmonton. The name, derived from 'boondocks,' reflects its mission to celebrate the community through an inventive menu and inviting space. Chef-owner Ryan Hotchkiss offers seasonal small plates paired with craft cocktails and cider, such as beef carpaccio, kale salad, and sea bream crudo.
I took my girlfriend for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and Meera took care of us from the second we walked in. Prior to our reservation , I reached out about getting access to the Valentine’s Day set menu and Meera was more than happy to accommodate my request. When my girlfriend informed Meera of her food allergies, she offered an alternative dish as part of the main course and gave us both desserts from the set menu without extra charge. The smoked olives were delicious, the smoke flavour was strong and it was beautifully neutralized by the slight bitterness and tang of the citrus. My girlfriend and I loved the fried chicken skins and joked about cancelling the rest of the meal for five more orders. It’s that addicting. The steelhead crudo was refreshing, zesty, and a delicious way to cleanse the palate. The gnocchi was otherworldly to say the least. My girlfriend only had a few bites due to her food allergies and it broke my heart to eat the whole plate alone. Luckily for her, she had the deep fried cauliflower as a substitute and it was, I quote, “very filling”. As a steak lover, I was very excited to try the striploin with the black garlic butter. The cook was perfect (although personally I would have rendered the fat cap a little bit more, but that’s just me being nitpicky) and the sauce (I’m assuming peppercorn) tied everything together. Finally, the chocolate crepe cake and the citrus posset were both delicious, with the former having the ability to put you to sleep from how fulfilling it was, and the latter having the perfect balance of sweetness and citrus to leave your palate feeling refreshed. 10/10. We walked out feeling full, happy, and a bit tipsy (get the equinox, I’m far from a cocktail guy so I won’t pretend like I know what i’m talking about but trust me ). Overall, the service was amazing and so was the food. If you want every date night to feel like Valentine’s Day, stop by for dinner.

Love the concept and most of the execution of this restaurant. The food was generally good with the exception of the tartine and rillettes dishes. They do arrive already spread onto the toast, which a fine, but the versions on the night we where there where every sparse on the accompanying toppings. For example, the huge piece of bread had a good amount of the whipped chicken liver tartine, but only a couple of pickled cherries. This just made it kind of useless. When you actually had everything together in one bite it was good. Would have been better to have the items more chopped and dispersed if you are going to pre do it all in the kitchen. That being said, the gnocchi was good as was the broccoli. The pan roasted hen, 5 spice rub, mushrooms, tamarind & miso butter was probably one of the best things that I have had in awhile. I was more than happy that it came with mushrooms instead of the green beans it showed on the menu.

Positives: - nice ambiance. - chicken skins, bread with dill butter, chicken liver was very good. Would definitely order again. Okays: - tar tar is a staple anywhere I go. Their bison tar tar didn’t look appealing when we received it, I think it was the layout. I’m used to tar tar stacked and this was spread out on the entire plate and I found the chunks too big. If you’re trying tar tar for the first time or are sensitive to texture, I wouldn’t recommend. - steak. We asked for medium rare and we received in our opinion medium. We order steak everywhere we go and we know medium and medium rare. We did ask for the steak to be cooked differently and when they brought it back it looked the exact same. We did take it home and it was good in flavour just wasn’t cooked the way we wanted it. I would still recommend the steak. Meh: - we had our reservation for opening (5pm) and they quickly ran out of the beer we liked so that was a little whatever. - I asked for a michelada and they put the Caesar rim on the tall full glass of Clamato and had the beer in another glass with no rim…. - had a dirty martini and my glass was not polished, there were water stains on the entire glass and a couple of floating specs in my drink (I did not mention anything as this was my first drink and first time there and didn’t want to be annoying, but it all added up) - upon ordering appetizers I mentioned the chicken skins, bread, chicken liver and tar tar all at once, our server only punched in the bread and then when it was brought to our table asked us if we wanted more…. She told us it was her bad for not ringing in the other items. Fine, totally fine but, there was so many opportunities for her to step up on her service but, she didn’t. Overall, the food was good, service was meh and I might come back here but not for anything special. Just a quick bite.

Here’s a fun, playful foodie-style review you could drop straight onto Instagram: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Soft boiled egg that was a little taste of the good life, fluffy gnocchi that felt like little clouds, crudo that was straight-up perfection, and a nectarine + tomato salad with goat cheese custard that tasted like sunshine and decadence. Oh, and the steak? Total main character energy — done to perfection. Bündok, you’ve officially stolen my heart ❤️

Food was good but service was excellent. The gnocchi came out and it was clearly oversalted, the server apologized right away and took the dish off our bill. Would def come back again. The fried chicken skin and tartare were my favourite.

Cute little restaurant not too far from Grant Mac. Reason we chose this place was for the good reviews on the liver pate and they did not disappoint! It is a sharing plate restaurant which we knew before going and were quite happy with as we were able to try a number of dishes. From start to finish, each dish was so good. Our hostess/waitress was very friendly and prompt. We had a reservation in case there was a lunch crowd but we were the only ones there. Probably still a good idea to have one just in case. Hard to say which dish we liked the best - definitely try the parmensan soup and smoked olives...and of course the liver!

Disappointing Dining Experience at Bündok My wife and I dined at Bündok last year, drawn by its inclusion in the Amex Platinum card’s international dining benefits from Singapore, which covered $200. We ordered several dishes, including cocktails, soup, beef strip-loin, roasted chicken, and chocolate cake. Unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. The service was subpar. The bartender, who also served us, spilled a few drops of soup on our table while serving and neither apologized nor cleaned it up. The food was equally lackluster—the strip-loin and chicken were dry and flavorless, and the chocolate cake tasted stale (1/10) To make the matter worse, the bartender who also served us rudely approached me to relay a complaint from another table about my footwear (Crocs) and posture, which felt rude and unnecessary. Another server (our main server) kindly apologized for their colleague’s behavior, but it didn’t salvage the experience. Spending over $200 for mediocre food (1/10) and uncomfortable service was frustrating. We won’t return.

Nestled in the heart of Edmonton, The Buckingham is a vibrant hotspot that perfectly blends delicious vegan street food with an energetic atmosphere. This trendy venue boasts a lively dance floor and hosts live music, making it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind after a long week. With its inviting outdoor patio, you can enjoy your meal al fresco while soaking up the local vibe. The menu at The Buckingham is a delightful surprise for both vegans and non-vegans alike.
This is our new favourite pub. My friends just moved to Edmonton and I came to visit and we knew we needed to find a pub to replace our old go to and boy oh boy did we find it. They are vegetarian/vegan and having the menu be 100% vegan is the best. Made it a seamless experience. I got the AYCE Corn Dogs for $10 and had three. I also got the tempura green beans which were AMAZING. My friends had a specialty dog and wings and were in blissed out heaven. I also got the Mayhem Marg which proudly supports TESA and the delicious pink pony punch. Amazing price on everything and huge portions! Great energy, lots of space, super fun decor, and awesome staff. Great place to catch an Oilers game and we can’t wait to make this our regular spot whenever I’m in town. Great experience!

Initially, I was excited to hear about this restaurant - Edmonton NEEDS vegan food places like this. Unfortunately, the execution is not all there. The signature fried chicken is tough to get through. Through the portions are generous, the chicken is basically dense blocks of seitan that are lightly seasoned on the outside. The recipe needs improvement if it is going to establish itself as a destination for “vegan street food”.

Not really ideal for seating when it comes to live music. Staff could’ve been a little more welcoming.. that being said, bar had a stellar patio, great artwork and all around great vibe. All 3 bands were stellar. Something old school about it. I’d go back for the atmosphere. I’m sure it’s great otherwise. Hard to explain. I know I’m not selling it, but, something makes me feel like I’d go back for sure.

Best vegan poutine in Alberta. Their pickle poutine was awesome. The burger had a good char and the veggies were fresh. I never thought I would get to eat brioche again but theirs was buttery and soft without any animal products. The prices were very reasonable. I went during happy hour and spent about $26 for a burger, poutine, beer and a Caesar. It was very quiet in the early afternoon. I haven't been at night yet but their food was so good I want to check out a show one of these days. They had the balcony area opened up since it was nice weather, and it was lovely eating over Whyte Ave.

The Buckingham absolutely delivers on comfort food cravings with a fantastic all-vegan menu. Everything we tried was delicious, but the deep fried Oreos were next-level indulgent. “Inclusive” in name only — a deeply humiliating and Kafkaesque experience I went to Buck expecting a safe, inclusive space — instead, I left feeling humiliated, harassed, and misrepresented in ways that have continued to affect me. I’m a former employee of this company at a sister bar, and my experience here was utterly discrasful. I was there with a close female friend and coworker, joking and blowing off steam after work — yes, we use coarse language with each other, but it’s part of how we relate, and it was mutual, consensual, and lighthearted. Early in the evening, I used the men’s washroom (which I later learned is labeled as gender neutral — the signage was minimal and unclear). While using the urinal, a woman stood behind me and watched me urinate. Startled and uncomfortable, I reflexively said, “wrong washroom,” and was immediately berated for not understanding the space was gender neutral. I wasn’t trying to police anyone’s identity — I was reacting to a basic violation of privacy. My discomfort was completely dismissed. Later, a patron across the bar overheard me joking with my friend and began loudly accusing me of being disrespectful to women. The staff quickly took their side without asking for context. I tried to explain — we were joking about work, and my friend was not only fine with it, she initiated much of it. But I was told I was being inappropriate and threatened with removal. My friend even tried to clarify with the staff, but they didn’t believe her. From then on, I felt watched, judged, and unable to speak without being attacked — as if I’d been assigned a role in a story I didn’t write. It was surreal and deeply distressing. I later learned that staff at the bar now believe I’m in an abusive relationship with my friend. That false narrative is devastating — not only because it’s untrue, but because it’s being spread by people who never once asked for the truth. This bar presents itself as a progressive, inclusive space. In reality, it felt like the opposite — a place where assumptions override facts, where inclusion only applies if you conform to an unspoken code, and where expressing discomfort (even around basic bodily privacy) gets you labeled as the problem. If this is how The Buck treats guests — especially those who don’t fit a narrow mold of “acceptable” behavior — then it’s not truly inclusive. It’s just performative. I left feeling silenced, violated, and erased. And I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

Nestled just a short stroll from Ford Hall in Rogers Place, The Canadian Icehouse is the ultimate destination for hockey enthusiasts looking to catch an Oilers game. Its prime location within the vibrant Ice District offers a plethora of winter activities, including indoor hockey shootouts and an outdoor skating rink. Known for boasting the largest rooftop patio in Western Canada, this venue provides stunning views of downtown and the bustling Ice District Plaza. Guests can enjoy yard games and batting cages while soaking up the lively atmosphere.
What an experience! I do travel a lot, and the thing that elevates an experience more than anything is the service. One word, Darby. Hope I spelled it right. From pillar to post, exemplary service. Beer and food can, and are served everywhere. What stood out was how we were treated, on a super busy night, with skill and warmth. Being from out of town we tried some local beers that were perfect. Watching the Oilers win in the playoffs will be an all-time greatest memory of my trip to Edmonton. If you are in the area, check out The Canadian Ice House, you will not be disappointed.

We visited The Canadian Icehouse for the second time yesterday, and once again, the food did not disappoint. The steak bites were incredibly tender, and the Icehouse Burger was just as tasty. Unfortunately, the rooftop wasn’t open this time because of the smoke, but the bar still had a great vibe. Fantastic service by all the staff as our group interacted with several members. The food was quite good. It was a wing night, so it was busy and they were busy in the kitchen but it wasn't too bad and very timely considering the circumstances. Stayed on the rooftop as it was a warm day. I’ve been here several times now and really enjoy it. I love the decor usually but they also switched it up for Christmas time and brought in Christmas drinks. Me and my friends always have fun here because everything from the decor to the drinks are instagramable. I cannot wait to go back and I cannot recommend this place more. Every now and then you find a place that cares about their vision and passion so much that you can feel it the second you walk in. Has to be one of the coolest places in the city for a drink. Our server was super knowledgeable and offered to have the bartender make me a drink off what I said I liked. They nailed it which was fun but couldn’t tell you what was in it! We tried 3 other drinks off the menus which were all great. Obviously, the tiki drinks are amazing!

Walked by Honi Honi and had to stop in to check it out, and we were not disappointed! The drinks are so good, and considering how strong some of them are they don't taste like straight alcohol, everything we had still had flavour. The scorpion bowl gets lit on fire which was amazing, tasted great as well! And the rum barrel was great as well. Food comes from the barbecue place next door, we only tried the fries and they were alright, kinda felt like the fryer hadn't been changed in a bit, but it didn't detract from our experience. The decor is so kitchy and campy, perfect decor for a Tiki bar. Will definitely be back!

DOSC is a very contemporary bar/coffee house/ steak house! The restaurant is located downtown Edmonton. The building is architecturally beautiful and historic. (A wheelchair accessible entrance was not apparent) The coffee bar is fully prepared to make your favorite brewed beverages. The bar was tastefully decorated, offering all the "adult" beverages you could imagine. The have a great selection of wines and a nice eclectic variety of beers. The restaurant surrounds the room with plenty of seating choices. Window seats, secluded romantic seats, casual locations. The menu has a nice variety of choices for most palates. The preparation and presentation were top-notch. Every dish was seasoned well and so tasty. (I recommend the Beef Wellington) DOSC is a wonderful place for a business dinner or a night out with your friends. Great site, great service, great food.

We ordered tomahawk + 2 appetizers for 4 people and were super excited to try the meat. The tomahawk was unfortunately pretty tough and dry and did not taste great. The table agreed on 3/5. However, the appetizers were delicious and our server was suuper friendly and awesome 5/5. 4 stars because we would return one day but probably not order the tomahawk.

This was my first time at DOSC and I was highly impressed. Everything from the service to the food was just amazing. I ordered the strip loin with the beef tallow mushrooms during their brunch menu. The steak was so tender and was cooked to perfection. Additionally I shared a few items such as the brussel sprouts and the ox tail poutine both of which I would strongly recommend. The ox tail poutine had a large amount of meat on it which was surprising and very tasty. If you are looking for a great meal in Edmonton I would highly suggest trying DOSC.

The food is tasty and the ambience elegant - found the staff clearly more upbeat and enthusiastic to Caucasian solo male diner. I arrived and while the waitstaff walks towards me at the door they don’t greet me instead they look hesitant and questioning and while serving instead of a smile and sincere enjoy your meal and genuinely pleased - it’s more here’s the dish. And I’m the one saying thank you. It was highly and noticeably different watching the way the greeted the white male who entered after me and seated at the table right next to me so I heard exactly all the differences however minute it may seem make a big difference. That’s how the ego and morale of certain groups are maintained and boosted while solo female Asian diners def do not get the same treatment or even identity as most people are conditioned and unconsciously behavior with more obsequious and respectful behavior to Caucasians, male and other elements of their upbringing and societal prejudices whether based on merit or not. Unfortunately it’s too common and is not unique to this restaurant but the staff although “polite” on the surface was like a night and day difference to me and is the exact type of low energy behavior that marginalized certain people and is an element of racism and discrimination.

Waited in line for the hockey game this being my first time coming, when we finally got in was able to get a seat at the bar. Was told the food was horrible after unfortunately ordering it. And it held up to that everything each food item tasted off and chicken was pink and had chunks of odd black brown color, fries were cold and soggy, the ketchup was even off tasting. Food ended up making me and my partner sick. Tried using the bathroom and also was told about how disgusting it is (by staff) Which I don’t understand how no one can up keep it or attempt to help keep it useable. When it was my turn I attempted to go in and there was urine all over the floor, the toilet paper holder was on the floor and paper all over the place. It reeked like urine and I ended up walking out and going elsewhere. It’s super sad that the fair porta potty’s were nicer, cleaner and more usable than the bar. The 1 new hire bar staff was excellent and very helpful about the only good thing I can say about the place. Horrible experience. Definitely not coming back.

Arrived before a hockey game at about 6:30 pm, game started at 8. Waited for over 45 minutes for 2 burgers and salads. Was then told that due to an issue in the kitchen no food was possible. Service was not the greatest, had to try multiple times to get servers attention, as she would walk by our table not even looking our way. Multiple other tables also left that night, due to the unusually long time for food to come out. I get it that it's before a hockey game and things get busy, but this was the first time in my life at a restaurant where the kitchen simply couldn't produce a burger and salad. Server tried her best, but you could tell this simply was not a well run restaurant. Would not recommend.

Showed up about 2 hours before an oilers game and got a table right away. The food menu we got was not the same as what’s on their website and has about 9 items including appies. I got the burger remembering last time it was a great smash burger. This time it was clearly a frozen patty from Costco so pretty disappointing for $20. Not sure what happened to this place as the food used to be great and they would have a great beer selection. Over half the beer lines were plugged.

Waitress was snotty and rude. Had zero interest in serving us. Slammed our drinks down on the table after she decided to ask us what we wanted, didn't offer us menus. She was more interested in chatting it up with a bartender sitting in a booth behind us. I didn't think the post about urine on the floor in the bathroom would be true, but yes, bathrooms are disgusting, urine on the floor everywhere in the bathrooms. The food was decent, I only gave food two stars as the menu has like 9 options (appys included) the online menu looked.great, the menu we were given, not so much. Atmosphere was good, snotty waitresses bring it down some. I wouldn't waste my time or money coming here again when there are plenty.of.other options near by.

Despite the place being completely packed our awesome server Courtney B found us a table in no time. She was very personable and it felt like I was talking to a friend. Our food came out quickly and Courtney ensured to stay on top of our drinks. I will definitely be back 10/10. Again thank you to Courtney for having such an uplifting attitude, it really made the night.

Great place to go to with friends and family. My friends and I frequent H&A usually before oilers games and concerts as it is a short 5min walk to the arena. Lotus corrected a past issue here and she truly made it right and for this I will continue coming back to Home & Away. Our server, Katie, was excellent yesterday evening. She was quick to bring us anything we needed and gave us great service.

Had supper at H&A before Oilers Flyers game. Enjoyed a pizza deluxe which was hit and spicy. Server was friendly and prompt It’s been renovated and the booth was clean comfortable. Very busy at one hour before game time and lots of energy from fans. Recommend reservation on game day

Sabor Restaurant is a top-notch dining spot in Edmonton, offering a blend of Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. The restaurant is the brainchild of two passionate chefs, Christian Mena and Adelino Oliveira, who aim to bring the flavors of their home countries to diners.
Wow. Had dinner for the first time. What a wonderful choice. Our server and the manager both recommended the family style meal. So much food and everything was incredible. The food is so fresh, perfectly cooked (I hate overcooked seafood) and so flavourful! Very friendly and attentive service, so helpful and understanding with our newbie questions. Can't wait to visit again.

As many have mentioned this place is great, went here for our 10th anniversary just to get away and enjoy ourselves. Got the seafood platter course, the clams and muscles were delicious it was cooked perfectly and so juicy when you bit into it, and so easy to remove from the shells iykyk. The sauce it came in was so delicious, not salty and yet to creamy perfect to dip with the hot fluffy baguette that came with it. Their famous lobster risotto was perfectly chewy and the little bit of lobster pieces were just so delicious. The scallops were exceptionally cooked to perfection, with a nice crust on the top and bottom while still juicy in the middle. My wife especially loved the pimento aioli that elevated piri piri prawns taste. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly, and I personally think it went great with the pimento aoili instead of the butter. The calamari was fantastic with the mixed greens and so refreshing with the cucumber aioli. The service was great, it was just quick enough between each course and enough time for us to chat and enjoy what we were eating as we looked forward to the next dish. Pamela was our waitress and was exceptionally detailed in describing each dish as it came out, very tentative and quick to get what we needed. The other staff were awesome as well, water was always full and we didn't have to wait long for anything.

I ordered the grilled octopus entre and got recommended the lobster risotto. Octopus had perfect texture but had too much of a burnt crisp to it. The risotto was divine, rich, and felt like a comforting hug. The service was absolutely amazing, consistently checked up on and the manager was really interactive and personable with all the customers. Truly enjoyed my visit and will come again for great seafood

Probably one of the best experiences we ever had in a very long time, a big part of it was our server Pamela, who treated us with great expertise and attention to detail. The food was also cooked to perfection. You can tell everybody cares about everything in this restaurant. Will definitely be back for more in the future!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sabor restaurant on April 17, 2025, for my daughter’s birthday and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The ambience was inviting, perfectly complementing the exquisite dishes we indulged in. Our meal featured a delightful array of selections including the Grilled Octopus, which was tender and flavourful, showcasing the chef's expertise in seafood. The Lobster Paella and Chicken Paella were both outstanding, rich in authentic flavours and cooked to perfection. The Peri Peri Chicken added a spicy, savoury kick that balanced our meal wonderfully. The quality of service was amazing. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, enhancing our dining experience with their thoughtful recommendations and prompt service. Overall, I would rate Sabor restaurant as excellent. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch culinary adventure with impeccable service.

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant again. It was very busy. We ordered the seafood plate with mussels, shrimp, calamari, halibut and Arctic char. The dessert was delicious.. Mini size but enough for 2 people.
Tazlin K — Google review
Positives: The meat here, both seafood and otherwise, is VERY well cooked. Octopus isn't rubbery and boar cheek is extremely tender. The food has some good sharp flavors of classical cuisine. The blackberry coulis was a sharp and refreshing contrast in what was supposed to be a decadent chocolate cake. My server never left me for long and always paid attention to my water. Negatives: The food here was cooked well, but the flavors just weren't as dialed in as they could have. Some things were too strong and some weren't strong enough (the sauce paired with the braised boar cheek lacked a needed acid, the sauce around the octopus had too much acid). The dessert was particularly disappointing - dry cake with not nearly enough decadence to counteract the blackberry coulis and a very very thick chocolate shell difficult to break through. This place was very busy and popular. Servers really were business focused and not very personable. This place is very ran through in my opinion and a little overrated. I still think the Marc is far better when it comes to high end cuisine, but this is still very good seafood.

I booked Sabor’s private dining room for our engagement and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions I’ve made in years. I initially booked a consultation with the Manager Cory L. and I was blown away by his professionalism and helpfulness throughout the process. The moment I met him, I knew this would be the restaurant for our occasion. From the moment my fiancé and I stepped into the restaurant on our special day, Cory greeted us and quickly welcomed us into the private dining room. The main floor set the tone through the restaurant’s lively main floor to the private room—exposed-brick walls, soft Edison bulbs, and a single long harvest table. The space felt elegant, rustic yet completely secluded, exactly what Sabor promises for us. Service was seamless all night. Our dedicated server, Joshua B, balanced warmth with precision: drinks appeared before glasses ran dry, plates arrived in perfect cadence, and I have never had such an amazing server in my life. He opened the evening pouring our champagne and provided us with our set planned menu. More impressive, though, was how he read the room—from our private acoustic performances, pacing our meal, and drinks then brightening them again just enough for Instagram-worthy photos of every course. Joshua’s warm hearted, kind, quick-witted and thoughtful personality made our dining experience incredible! We began with pillowy house bread and a tray of tomato-basil bruschetta that crackled with garlicky crunch. The calamari followed—lightly dusted, flash-fried with aioli, impressing my fiancé who initially did not like calamari. A fragrant bowl of saffron mussels arrived; the broth was very flavourful, and creamy. I would order this again! The mains arrived and came the show-stopping wagyu striploin—rare perfection with just enough char easily the best steak I’ve ever had, with velvety mashed and baked potatoes. Beside it, a roasted chicken quarter proved anything but ordinary, the meat was succulent and delicious. We ordered A silken mushroom risotto—tied the meats together, each bite earthy and comforting. For lovers of Spanish comfort food, the chicken-chorizo paella was the dish we kept revisiting. The rice was crispy but tender, while smoky coins of chorizo lent depth to every forkful. Beverage-wise, the meal felt like its own tasting flight. We toasted with a crisp rosé champagne whose strawberry notes paired beautifully with the calamari. Midway through, Joshua surprised our table with a mini port-wine tasting—four pours ascending in age and complexity. Joshua provided us with descriptions with each port-wine, and was very knowledgeable about all the drinks Later, as conversation mellowed, an espresso martini that bridged us gently into dessert. The espresso martini was to die for! It was made with an Italian espresso and had chocolate undertones. Speaking of sweets, Joshua brought the evening home with desserts! We had a sample platter of two types of cheesecakes, Portugese cream custard, tiramisu and a coffee cake bar! The portugese cream custard—burnt top, custardy center, whisper of citrus zest. The star of desserts, though, was the coffee-cake bar: a buttery crumb topping over espresso-soaked sponge that vanished in seconds. For the purists, a feather-light tiramisu layered with house cream. The passionfruit and cherry cheesecake was fantastic! By the time we lingered over the last sips of port, it was clear Sabor had nailed the trifecta of private dining: impeccable service, bold yet balanced flavors, and an atmosphere that feels simultaneously celebratory and intimate. I am incredibly impressed with Sabor. Everything from the staff, food and atmosphere were impeccable! I’m glad that I chose Sabor for our engagement and will forever fondly remember this special moment thanks to the staff.

Barbecue restaurant
MEAT is a modern smokehouse in Canada that offers a wide range of classic BBQ dishes, sides, and drinks. Despite being located outside the traditional BBQ regions, MEAT provides an authentic Texas-style BBQ experience with family-style dining and homemade sauces. The restaurant also offers meat snacks and dishes for at-home gatherings, including a Super Bowl Game Day Feast package.
Talk about a culinary delight! Their menu is designed for sharing, and my hubby and I selected the half beef brisket, half fried chicken thighs, and coleslaw. The array of sauces is remarkable, and the bourbon sauce is my top choice. Smoked food lovers unite, their beef brisket is a must try!

Good spot for a heavy meal! The vibes were great and the staff were super welcoming 💙 I had the pulled pork burger with mac and cheese on the side. Got a little overwhelmed of the texture from the burger—I wish it was juicier and more flavorful even without the sauce. But overall, still a solid meal! I got really full 😮‍💨 It’s a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. Loved the sauces! Hope to try more MEAT

Located off of Whytes Road, this place is serving up some delicious local meats, from brisket, ribs, pulled pork, etc they've got it all. Their brisket was tender and flavorful. The pork ribs were smokey, and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. We order a side of Mac and cheese and two large pickles. Both a great side dish that complement the meats. Service was superb, friendly and efficient! Perfect place if you're feeling carnivorous!

The name of the place literally says what they do best, MEAT. We ordered a lb of Brisket and Full rack of BBQ Ribs. Both of them are so flavorful, and we especially the burnt on the ribs. The burnt smells really good, is crisp, and fravorful. They also have 4 sauces you can add on your table, Bourbon, Cherry, Spicy, and Mustard. We tasted all and love the Spicy and Cherry. House salad is also very good and go very well with their meats. Highly recommended for smoked meat lovers.

Food was okay overall. Everything was barely warm. Maybe would've been a bit better if it was hot. I think the least favourite item between all of us was the brisket. Very dry. 0 fat, tough, cold. The gravy kind of helped.

Warm welcome, impeccable service, reasonable prices. Just one downside: my BBQ pork ribs were too dry (see photo) Otherwise, I had a lovely dinner.

French restaurant
The Marc is an elegant restaurant offering a classic French menu in a contemporary setting with black-and-beige decor and the option for patio seating. The establishment prides itself on serving honest, fresh, and satisfying food within a casual atmosphere while providing smooth and professional service. The decor features soothing shades of black, white, and taupe complemented by sparkling pendant lights and a reclaimed marble bar, creating a relaxed ambiance.
Our first visit to The Marc was spectacular. I was a bit nervous about the dress code since I came straight from work and wasn’t exactly dressed up but the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The atmosphere was more easygoing and casual than expected. Now the food… absolutely phenomenal. Everything came out quicker than expected and tasted amazing. For appetizers, we had the lentil soup (highly recommend—super fresh and flavorful) and the crispy croquettes. But the mains were even better: a perfectly fried pork chop that made me forget I’m not usually a pork fan (I finished every bite), and a Croque Madame sandwich that tasted exactly like the one I had in France, complete with a fresh, crisp salad on the side. Top marks for service, food, and vibe. We’ll definitely be back.

Not the friendly welcome we are used to when Patrick & Doris owned it - no interaction with staff - staff more involved with each other than the customers. Food overpriced and no atmosphere. Service is poor, customer does not come first and the best seats in the room (end of the bar) are no longer available.

I highly recommend it!

I was surprised to see this restaurant rated so highly—perhaps there has been a recent change in leadership? The pork pâté was hard and lacked flavor, though the croquettes were decent. I ordered the duck, a personal favorite, and was assured by the server that the chef recommended medium rare. Unfortunately, it was served medium well. The accompanying polenta cake was dry and burnt on one side, making it inedible. I would have mentioned this to the server or manager, but they were preoccupied with clearing tables and closing the patio. We were also celebrating our anniversary, which went unacknowledged. A simple “happy anniversary” would have been appreciated—no complimentary item expected, just a gesture of recognition that is standard in most establishments. With so many restaurants offering exceptional dining experiences, this visit was a major disappointment.

It has been 10 years since I was here so I completely forgot what it was like. All the good was kind of blah! No real flavour. My friend ordered the steak. It was cooked to perfection. She could only eat about half of it since there was so much grizzle. She got tired of having to gracefully remove pieces she couldn't chew. A week prior we were at a comparable restaurant in St. Albert. It is my all time favorite restaurant. Every dish was a treat to the tastebuds. My friend had their steak and it melted in her mouth. We were expecting similiar from the Marc and were greatly disappointed.

Our first time in downtown Edmonton, we decided to start exploring the downtown area to start out the day at this location. We reserved in advance and was greeted with very friendly ladies who quickly accommodated us in a big bright window seat. The seats are comfortable and the service was quick. The portions of our order was very generous and our palate was greeted with light, smooth, crisp, fresh, warm, delicious flavors that filled us up. The drinking water served was refreshing and clean tasting. This was a really nice start of our day.

This was a fantastic place to stop, and surprisingly affordable for how delicious & fancy the meals felt. I had the Flank Steak, lavender spritz, and the lemon tart for dessert during the lunch service. The staff were very friendly, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was quiet. The place seemed to be filled with business folk gathering for lunch meetings or old friends dressing nicely for a much needed catch-up. The steak was a tender medium rare, the arugula salad was refreshing, and the frites were perfectly crispy. I couldn't help but nearly inhale the meal with how delicious it was. The lavender spritz was so good, I got two of them and asked for the recipe. It's a simple drink, but doesn't overshadow your food due to it's simplicity. I finished the meal with the lemon tart and really took my time to enjoy it with a cup of tea. The cream they serve it with cuts the sharp lemony flavour perfectly.

Tzin Wine & Tapas is a chic and intimate wine bar that offers a variety of Spanish and European tapas in a cozy, red-walled space. The small size of the menu allows the chefs to focus on creating visually stunning and delicious dishes. Located on 104 Street, this charming spot exudes an infectious energy with its convivial atmosphere and tantalizing aromas.
For my birthday, I was searching for a great restaurant and came across Tzin Wine and Tapas based on their excellent Google reviews. They did not disappoint! Although I forgot the names of the two waitresses who served us, they were incredibly kind and attentive. I don’t know much about wine, so I asked for a sweet one, and they chose perfectly. We ordered the famous "Feed Me" option, and everything was just delicious, check my photos!. My birthday cake was packed up to-go because I was so full! I highly recommend this place!

A Flavorful Adventure at Tzin Wine & Tapas My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Tzin Wine & Tapas this evening, thanks to a thoughtful gift card from close friends — and what an unforgettable experience it turned out to be. We opted for the “FEED ME” menu, where you leave your culinary fate in the hands of the chef (who has been crafting magic in Tzin’s kitchen for an impressive 18 years). Every course was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and creativity. From the perfectly spiced curry prawns, to the rich and tender duck, the beautifully charred steak, and of course, their iconic bacon on crostini — each dish was a unique and delightful journey. The service was warm and attentive, the staff and owner incredibly welcoming, and the cozy, intimate ambiance made us feel right at home. This is more than just a dinner — it’s a full sensory experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore bold flavors, expertly prepared food, and genuine hospitality in the heart of Edmonton. Let me know if you'd like to tailor it further (e.g., more casual, shorter, or social media-friendly).

Truly one of the best restaurants in Edmonton. The service, the food, the atmosphere, all incredible. Kelsey is amazing , she is often the only server working but she always makes it seem effortless. Came here for the first time and we celebrated our 10-yr anniversary. The staff made it memorable, the food was superb (cod dish and bacon were our favourites), and the wine pairing with the tasting menu made us realize we need to up our wine game. Wow! What a great dinner we had at Tzin. Amazing food (we had the surprise menu and it was so great) and our server who was the owner as well was simply so good and sweet. We had great talks with her and she was very knowledgeable about the wines. She also surprised us with different wines which was so fun. Highly recommend if you visiting Edmonton to go to this beautiful little restaurant where you feel the passion for this small business. We definitely will come back!
Pieter L — Google review
I got the 'feed me' option, their version of a tasting menu. It was great! Each dish better than the one before. Albacore ceviche: Good, but missing a bit of 'zing' Prawns in Vatavan sauce with Fennel: The warmth of the curry butter sauce contrasted perfectly with the tangy fennel. The prawns were also tender and a great vessel for the buttery sauce Succotash: Hearty, homey, comforting. Gnocchi, Bacon, corn, cream sauce Chowder-ey elevated with a Saskatoonberry glaze Sweet Italian Sausage with fennel pollen burnt peppercorn honey mustard: Tasty sausage, but a little on the dry side by itself. The honey mustard upps the ante. It adds the Juiciness missing from the sausage itself. The sweet and hot is a winning combination with pork and the fennel and herbs in the sausage add a great aromatic halo to the dish. Bison Meatball Pickled onions, house bbq sauce, creme freche, aged cheddar ranch. Warm, tangy, rich, creamy. The meatball is delicious all by itself and super juicy. The sweet and smoky bbq sauce complements the rich bison meat and strengthens the dish's warmth. The aged cheddar ranch ups the creaminess and umami yet again, but also adds a cruicial sharpness from the cheddar to balance the fat. The pickled onions are a 'cherry on top' adding a hint of crunch with a bit more zing. Bacon Crostini, maple apple glaze WOW Flavour explosion! Sweet and tart! Apple blast starts the bite off. Then as the tartness fades, the bacon's richness and smokiness comes to the forefront. The best bacon I have ever had! Lemon Curd Tart Freshly torched meringue, raspberry coulis, shortbread crust. As a dessert, Lemon curd tarts are hard to beat. They're up at the top with Tiramisu and innovative desserts like the hoja santa ice-cream at NOL. This is also a very good lemon curd tart! The tartness is STRONG as it should be and is reinforced with the raspberry coulis. All this tartness is balanced with the sweet and buttery shortbread and the creamy meringue. A great end to a great meal!

Easily one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was incredible (I audibly moaned more than once,) however, I’d go back for the atmosphere and welcoming staff alone. Looking forward to my next visit!

The place is very small and very tight but quite nice. One side of the standard seat is a bench with cushions and pillows. It is a bit dark as you come in but once seated it is fine. It's very small entrance door to find. At first I wasn't sure if I had come through the back. We did the recommend Feed Me / chef's choice option. Food is served one dish at a time. The best were the risotto (not on menu) and the pork belly with mushrooms sauce. We did not enjoy the beef steak as we are not rare or medium rare consumers. Did not think to mention this to the server. Not sure if we could have sent back to kitchen to ask for it to be more cooked. We also didn't think bacon on crostini was as special as the reviews raved about it. We ordered a glass of red and white wine. They gave us taste tests first with different red wine before we settled. We booked a week in advance for our seats on Open Table. It asked us if we were celebrating anything. It was for our birthdays. Nothing special was done except the server wished us. Service was good as they changed out our plates after every dish. They even store your coat for you if you want. They topped up our waters promptly. Explained the dishes to us. Helped us choose our wines. Cost $150 for 2 people. Very high end fine dining. Definitely for special occasions.

If you want to enjoy a delicious Canadian favourite with plenty of twists on traditional fare, visit The Canadian Brewhouse in Edmonton's downtown. With more than 20 draught beers on offer, there's something for everyone at this popular chain restaurant. From hearty Caesar salads to mouth-watering hot wings, everything on the menu is sure to please. Whether you're watching the game or just looking for a casual evening out with friends, this spot is a great choice.
Tried their Crunchy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries, and I was pleasantly surprised! The sandwich was bigger than expected and packed with flavor—crispy, saucy, and just the right amount of heat. Nothing too fancy, just a solid, satisfying bite. Paired it with a cold Corona, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with that combo. Definitely hitting this spot again!

I always have a great experience at The Canadian Brewhouse! The atmosphere is energetic and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends. Last time I ordered the mushroom burger, and it was delicious! The patty was juicy, and the mushrooms were perfectly sauteed. The only suggestion I have is that the patio area could be a bit cleaner—it would make the outdoor dining experience even better. Other than that, everything was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back!

Ordered a drink at The Canadian Brewhouse and what did I get? A glass garnished with what looked like a half-dead leaf straight out of a compost bin. It was wilted, brown, and clearly shouldn’t have made it past the kitchen—let alone to a paying customer. When I pointed it out to the staff, instead of owning up or offering any kind of apology, the server laughed. Yes, laughed—as if serving spoiled garnish was some kind of joke. This isn’t just poor service, it’s straight-up disrespectful. I came to enjoy a drink, not question the hygiene standards of the bar or be brushed off by staff who clearly don’t care about quality or accountability. If this is how concerns are handled here, I’d hate to see what goes on behind the scenes. This wasn’t just a bad experience—it was a red flag. Do better.

Had the heat burger with inferno sauce on the side. It's so hard to find a place that actually has a good spice level, they did a great job. The sauce made me tear up, I loved it. If you like spicy, get that sauce. And Kora was great, super friendly and always checking in, definitely want to be seated in her section again at the West Edmonton Mall location!

Everyone kept saying your a burger guy you have to try first round....I wish I hadn't the service was lacking the waitress didn't seem to care or anything once we were done our meal we waited 20 mins for the bill. If we walked out doubt anyone would have even noticed. We had burgers I had the pizza burger it was....a huge let down not only did the party taste plain but if not for the pepperoni I'dve not known I ordered a pizza burger. Fires were okay gravely tasted almost as bad as KFC's disappointment.

This was the most enjoyable meal I had since arriving to Edmonton for a family vacation. I ordered the donair burger and the sweet potato fries, so delicious! Our waiter was very kind to us, the manager even came over to my husband and I to see how everything was going and how our meal was, he was also very kind. Great first experience. We would love to come back.

Came here for the first time ever, I’m from Newfoundland and here for a volleyball tournament, after 9 hours of travelling I couldn’t wait to eat, was hesitant about the big mall but I’m so glad we settled on this spot, I love hockey so the game being on was wonderful, are food was out within 20 minutes or less, which was so surprising and I was happy, are server was Alana and she was so sweet! Made sure we were all taken care of nicely! Thank you for the experience I do recommend!!

Got the mushroom swiss burger with the calamari, it was great. Sal was a fantastic server, always accommodated us and friendly. One of the best services I’ve received, fantastic guy!

I had a good experience at 1st and in located in West Edmonton Mall. The food was solid and came out quickly, which is always a plus. Drink prices were standard—nothing outrageous—and overall the pricing was fair compared to other bars in the area. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive, which definitely added to the experience. One thing that stood out as a bit odd was the men's washroom—specifically the soap dispenser, which was empty. It felt a little contradictory given there's a sign on the door about cleanliness. Hopefully that gets addressed soon. Other than that minor hiccup, it was a positive visit and I'd definitely consider coming back.

I cannot lie! 1st Round is an amazing place to go! Between the delicious food and spectacular service i would definitely recommend this place if you haven't already been. I'm working from out of town and this has become my go to place because I feel like family when I go there! Katie has served me many nights and has really made it an enjoyable experience! From her warm smile and welcome to as little as her saying hi when I am walking through the mall. Please go see her and the whole 1st round family and I promise you won't regret it!

Restaurant
The Bothy Wine and Whisky Bar, named after the Gaelic word for a small hut or resting place, is a cozy bistro on Calgary Trail. It boasts an impressive selection of over 175 whiskies, 20 wines by the glass, unique beers, and spirits. The bar offers a comforting atmosphere with dark wood and leather interiors, a stylish bar, and live music events.
I’m leaving with the biggest smile on my face and looking forward to my next visit to The Bothy… I’ve lived in Scotland for a few years and it feels a little like home. Some people say Canadians are nice, but they have nothing on the Scots! They are the nicest and the lovely guy behind the bar was no different. Thank you for giving me such a good time, it was nice to chat about Scotland, and you weren’t lying, your haggis was some of the best! I look forward to coming back 😊 You absolutely didn’t have to recognize my now 2 month belated birthday… but that’s why you’re the BEST ♥️

The foods are fabulous. We like the mussels and lamb shank a lot. Pork belly with kimchi fried rice : pork belly was very good, but it doesn't quite match with kimchi fried rice which is too salty and oily. Sausage rolls are great too and it tastes like Indian food with some spice. Highly recommend reservation. There are not many seats.
April C — Google review
Love it every time I go here. A peerless selection of glorious dusty (discontinued and extinct) scotch whiskies like Bruichladdich from years ago and Dallas Dhu, a very rare bottle to stumble across. I get the haggis every time I go as it’s to die for but this time I tried the succulent pork belly and kimchi too. Absolute gem of a spot.

After recently discovering that a large percentage of my DNA comes from Scotland, I became very interested in experiencing some Scotland culture and what better way to do that then by trying some of the cuisine! When searching for haggis (Scotland's national dish) I was very happy to discover The Bothy Wine and Whisky Bar. This is a small and cute type of place that I would consider a little bit hidden off Calgary trail and there isn't a ton of seating inside so it doesn't hurt to make a reservation, however when we visited it wasn't terribly busy for a Saturday night and we had a lot of seating to choose from at that time. The atmosphere and service were great, atmosphere was a little more quiet and relaxed with dim lighting which I liked. I also really liked our server she showed me a cool Scotland trick that allowed me to squeeze every last drop of my Ardbeg from my Glencairn. In addition to the scotch, my partner and I shared a wine flight (they also have whisky flights which I will try next time), the wine flight came with 5 x 3oz wines and they were all very delicious, with a few new reds that we had never tried before! When it comes to the wine and whisky, make sure to read the menu very well as it explains all the different types and their regions it is very informative. Finally the food which was also fantastic. For my partner it was a little more difficult finding a good meal being a vegetarian, but we looked at the menu before coming in so this was no surprise to us. The server was helpful and offered the special on the menu to be modified to have no chicken which was very nice of her, but in the end my partner went ahead and ordered a big plate of hummus and pita which was good for her. I went with the haggis of course which is served with tatties, neeps, roasted vegetables, and a wee drop of whisky, all of which were so delicious. It was a very pleasant experience for my first time trying haggis and trying to experience a bit of the Scotland culture, and we will definitely be back! Editing this review to include that we also had the Sticky Toffee Pudding for desert on our visit, it was absolutely delicious and didn't taste like a typical one we had get at any other restaurant, I guessed maybe that is because it is done in a more traditional Scotland way.

Amazing place in Edmonton!! EVERYONE is so welcoming! Even the customers! Super delicious 😋 food 👍. It's my husband's new fave spot! There are so many regulars there that make you feel part of a great community! Super recommended! No kids, great selection on wines! There is tons of parking, and it is a great place to chat with friends!

Came with a group of 6 - the best were the mussels appetizers and the pies for entrees. The pork chop special was also delicious! Chris, our server, was running the whole place by himself like a champ! Will definitely come back and highly recommend to anyone.

Great meal, great service. Large selection of scotches. Quality of food seems high, both in content and in the cooking. Scottish flavours and themes. Enjoyed the waiter's good nature. No negatives. There was a slight wait for the food but we'll worth it.

Pip is a charming restaurant located in Edmonton, close to Pals Sandwiches, offering a bright and welcoming atmosphere for brunch and dinner. The restaurant prides itself on being dog-friendly and inclusive, with a variety of vegan options alongside traditional dishes. Run by the team behind the nearby Next Act Pub and Meat, Pip features stylish decor and a delectable menu.
A perfect breakfast experience at Pip! Pip is a true gem for breakfast lovers. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and spotless. A great place to start your day. The service was prompt, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Our breakfast came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality and ingredients, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. On top of that, the coffee and latte were excellent — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. If you’re looking for a spot that nails both food and service, Pip is a must-visit. Already looking forward to the next visit!

I had a lovely brunch experience at this restaurant! We were seated right away by the friendly and professional hostesses who greeted us warmly. Our server, Dani, was super friendly and made us feel right at home during our first visit. Our food arrived in just 12 minutes, and it was delicious! My only little critique was that I wish the food was warmer. The house hash was kind of cold when it arrived and I think it would’ve tasted better had it had been more fresh. It also would’ve been pleasant to have more options on the menu. Especially more options with fruit in them for the brunch menu. :) Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back for more! In the pictures attached, we ordered the mushroom eggs Benedict, and the breakfast sandwich with avocado!

This is a cool spot that also doubles as a sandwich shop during the day. Their dinner menu is very much Italian inspired and their pastas are well made and large portions. The food is well made, the staff are super kind, and the prices are very reasonable. Good spot to grab lunch or dinner in the Strathcona area.

Went to Pip for the first time with my mom for brunch. The atmosphere is lovely, very modern and clean. Service was great, our server was very attentive and informed about the menu. I ordered a London fog and eggs Benedict. The London fog was lovely and rich, made with house made vanilla syrup. The eggs were perfectly cooked. I wished that the potatoes were a bit crispier and that there was more Hollandaise, but those are minor gripes. Definitely a great place for brunch.

Everything I had was delicious! The vibe was nice & the service was great. Perfect for a catch-up date with a friend. The whole experience was a 10/10. Can't want to come back to try other dishes. What I ordered: - Olives, House Marinated - Pork Schnitzel - Delicious. I want more! And if appreciate spicy, ask them for their house-made hot sauce. So good! - Haskap Margarita

I am in love with this place! The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, the service was top tier! Katie was our server and I couldn’t be happier. She was so attentive to every table she had while we were there. And the food was a 10 out of 10. The flavours were bold but not overpowering. Will for sure be making another stop in at Pip very soon.

Pub
Pub 1905 is a local favorite for sports fans and casual diners alike. The pub's eclectic decor and full bar offer tempting options for drinks, snacks, and games. With daily food specials, unbeatable prices on Guinness, and great service, Pub 1905 is the perfect place to gather with friends.
This place is located in the old Boccalino location, south-side of Jasper Ave between 105 and 106 Street. Long time residents of Edmonton would remember Boccalino for its pasta, as being the first brew pub in Alberta and . . . it was more than often frequented by the most notable of Oiler hockey legends in their heyday. The pub is adjacent to the lovely “Wine Room”. If you are seeking something classy and more intimate-ask what the options are to book a table in this lovely room for a special special occasion. As for the pub itself, it is very relaxed, comfortable and a recent refresh has modernized the feel but kept it warm. There are TVs everywhere making it the perfect atmosphere for a pregame snack, to watch an entire sporting event or to a host a work function. The service here is friendly and attentive, with plenty of drink and food specials throughout the week. The menu offers more variety than your typical chain spot. Tonight, I went for wings and the “Ducey Dog,” and both were excellent. The wings were on point, and the Ducey Dog—a deep-fried hot dog that’s longer than the standard—was a real standout, especially at just under $10 (fries included). I requested my fries well-done, and they delivered. I’ve been here before and will definitely return. Consider checking them out for your Super Bowl party in the coming weeks! I’m not certain the Oiler players still frequent Pub 1905, but you might spot some local media personalities or even a few national sports desk guys there from time to time. If you do recognize them, try not to bother them for their sports takes or a selfie—unless you’re ready to buy a round for the house . . . if they acquiesce. 🙂

This is one of my fav spots The staff are friendly and always in a good mood. Food is also beyond what you’d expect at a pub. I got the bacon mushroom dog with sweet potato fries and they were delish. 12 different beers on tap and Prices are good too. Recommend.

I've been here a couple of times. It's been nice, chill, and usually quiet. There has always been a spot to sit grab a drink and maybe something to munch on. The staff have always treated me pleasantly. There are a couple of pool tables. It feels big and spacious and a decent pub to relax for an evening.

After finding this pub on a whim, we won’t be going anywhere else. The food is amazing, drink options are abundant and their house lager is great! Everything is very reasonably priced, the staff are extremely friendly and efficient and they’ve got pool tables/tv’s galore which makes it the best place to catch up with friends and watch the game. They also have a nice, big patio if you just wanna relax and enjoy the weather. If you reading this, stop in for bite and drink, you won’t regret it!

Wish I found this place sooner! The service staff was super friendly, the patio plants and lights were so beautiful and made for a cozy atmosphere and the food was delish! We had burgers. I think the cheese buns and burgers were handmade. They were so flavorful and fresh. Also loved the home made ranch with the salad. Very fair prices too. We had a couple old fashioned's each and burgers and the total was under $60. Definitely coming back!

We hosted an after dinner work function here. Our group was 22 people and the service was exceptional. Nobody went thirsty, that's for sure. Pool tables and dart boards kept us all entertainmed. The gummy candies in their cocktails are an excellent touch. Would go back.

Quiet pub. Perfect for catching up with friends. Hot dog is highly recommended. Hamburgers are made inhouse... They tasted more like meatloaf. Great service. Food was average-- nothing to write home about. Did you know that they don't serve dessert?! Strange!

Hudson's Pub is a social hub with plenty of food and drink options in the heart of Edmonton. With their special of 39¢ wings on Wednesdays, it is a great place to go for some easy, traditional flavours. The pub also has a covered patio that's perfect for sunny days or rainy ones, and the staff is friendly and nothing on order is messed up or forgotten.
A lovely spot to enjoy a meal on the patio, with delicious food and quick service—we didn’t even have to wait to be seated. The restaurant is located at the start of a fantastic street with better pubs than those found downtown. It can get a bit busy, making conversation a little challenging at times, but overall, it’s a great experience!

I enjoyed Navie's service earlier today. She was amazing at being pleasant and welcoming. My entire engagement with her was Customer Focus, making me feel appreciated and comfortable. She kept a cheerful attitude and worked hard to handle complaints quietly and professionally. She seems valuable to that company. Bellini complaints involve marketing/promotion compared to the end product. The Bellini was recommended because a slushy blended drink was requested. However, it was far from the menu and description. Navie introduced Sarah, the manager. I mentioned that the drink was excellent but not what I expected - as it failed the marketing highlight. Her immediate response, I noticed you had the drink and after three to four server visits you said nothing, without apologizing. Sarah, please check your cameras to see how often Navie touched the booth! Instead of acknowledging and apologizing, the manager made excuses or justified the issue, making me, the consumer, feel unheard and minimizing the concern. I was advised to visit Circle K to ensure a slushy drink! I took it to mean being a person of colour, I can't afford Hudson, but Circle K. Sarah failed to understand my perspective and exacerbated the matter, resulting in this negative rating. She said I drank the drink, which her tone and nonverbals suggested I wanted a free drink. I informed her I came because I can afford it and was not looking for a free drink. Sarah should know as a manager that ambiguous language or not listening to a customer's issue might cause more misconceptions and frustration. After contesting her and she discovering I was informed, she then apologized (Too Late) and offered to prepare the drink as per my expectations, noting that Hudson's does not make slushies like Earls. I lectured her that this should have been her initial approach. I left despite wanting another drink since Sarah was rude, condescending, and dismissive throughout the chat. All Hudson's stakeholders, please tell Sarah that a competent leader/manager would actively listen to the customer, apologize sincerely, take ownership of the situation, find a quick and effective solution, and guarantee a remarkable experience ensuring the customer departs satisfied. I fear Sarah invested in bad word-of-mouth, which is a business's worst enemy!

Visited for the first time. The nachos were SO good! They had good slush drinks as well, and even allowed me to make it non-alcoholic, which I greatly appreciated! As always, parking on Whyte is the hardest part of getting to these places so make some time to find parking. It happened to be trivia night, the host was funny (albeit, mentioned his ex wife a lot😅) and it was a good time. It can get loud and rowdy here so..keep that in mind.

Went for a Birthday drink today. After waiting an unusually long time for service (possibly related to the fact that what appeared to be the Manager doing a citizen's arrest on a tiny drunk girl outside), i ordered the 3x6oz flight of beer. My companion and I were dumbfounded that the 3rd beer in my flight was a blue vodka cocktail of some sort. Server stated they were out of the usual 3rd beer, so they took the liberty of replacing it with a blue vodka drink instead of one of the other 15 beer they had on tap. Embarrassing establishment. Wont be back.

First of all Amazing! They accommodated our table of 8 to 10 people(on Wednesday night around 5 pm) where we wanted. They accomadated vegan options for some of our guests which was amazing! They also comped a couple birthday shots for the two people I took out for their birthday (as they are 2 weeks apart but I am here visiting from Fort McMurray. They made us feel welcome, and extremely special! Our server was absolutely AMAZING! Very on the ball, attentive and lovely! We had a horrible experience at Julio's trying to get a table and when we went there they made the whole night amazing! Thank you so much for everything.

I am writing to share my experience from my visit last night. I have been to your establishment before, specifically the previous Thursday, and had a wonderful experience thanks to a friendly and professional server.im really sorry I forgot her name it was in charge for all the tables next to exits door. However, my visit last night was quite disappointing. I sat at the bar and ordered a non-alcoholic beer, but the service was not up to the mark. I decided to move to the patio, where the first server informed me that I needed to settle my bill from the bar before being seated. I complied and paid the bill. When I was finally seated at the patio, the second server told me that to receive good service, I had to sit at a table and not at the bar. This was quite frustrating and felt unprofessional. Despite this, I stayed for about half an hour, ordered food, but was so dissatisfied that I didn’t eat and paid the bill anyway. I would like to suggest that your establishment improve its service quality, especially for guests from Edmonton. The atmosphere and food are great, but the service needs significant improvement. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, [jawad kourti]

If you ever get Keyna as your server, congratulations. You’ve basically won the restaurant lottery. She somehow manages to be three things at once: your server, your hype-woman, and your food psychic (seriously, how did she know I wanted fries before I even said it?). She’s fast, funny, and makes you feel like you’re the main character of the table. Drinks never empty, food always on point, and jokes better than most open mic nights and she lowkey thick.10/10 would request her again.

I had a really fun night at On The Rocks! The live music was awesome and the energy of the crowd was contagious — perfect if you’re into 90s/2000s vibes and dancing. The food surprised me too; the wings and fries were solid, and the drink specials were a nice bonus. It does get pretty packed, and the dance floor can feel a little chaotic at times, but that’s part of the charm. Service was friendly, though a bit slow when it got busy. Overall, a great spot for a lively night out with friends. I’d definitely come back!

On The Rocks is always a great choice when you’re looking for a lively night out. The food is consistently delicious, served hot, and comes out quickly. Their menu has a wide range of options, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the evening feel relaxed and easy. What really makes this spot stand out is the atmosphere…the music, energy, and crowd all create a fun vibe that keeps you wanting to stay longer. Upon arrival there was a ton of EMS, flooding in and out of the building it made my concerne rise on how safe the staff keeps their environment. I came as a tourist mind you, where I come from, you dont have to pay to get into a simple bar, this one you had to. In my opinion that is just greedy. I want to also mention upon arrival I was told that my boots were declared as a weapon and that I was not allowed to enter. Unlawful? Who knows. But I definitely dont recommend this place if you want to be harassed for what you wear. My question to the staff is why? High heals can be declared as a weapon as well if you out your little minds to use and think. But owell. 0 stars if I could.

Another games room, this one in downtown Edmonton’s Ice District. It’s a large space with potential, but on a quiet Monday night, it felt too big and mostly empty. While I didn’t expect a crowd, the atmosphere makes it seem more suited for special events rather than casual drop-ins. There’s bowling and a handful of games, plus multiple rooms that could work well for group gatherings. Convenient downtown location, but unless you’re attending a planned event, it might not be worth a visit. If you’re considering it for a group, calling ahead is a good idea.

So the servers are decent two workhorses I noticed. The drinks are good craft beer is good. Lots of TVS projecting the game. The booths are super comfy. Two floors, The security is a little standoffish at the best of times. The team runs well nice decor and nice lighting. I like coming here staff are kind, if you don't have a reservation you are treated differently, tip well and you will be remembered and treated better. The assignment manager is young but does a good job. Each staff is committed to quality control. #professional- how do we make it five stars?

What more can you ask for! Heart of downtown and the best place to be during the hockey season. I've been there many times now and its nothing but fun. With the right people and the right server and couple drinks always hits. Every time I go, I'll usually request to be sat in Michelle's section. Shes a sweet, fun and outgoing server. IF you think you can cheer louder for the oilers? I bet she will top you! Overall just a great place to see all the action take place. Came here with the gang and played a game of bowling. The food was delicious! The server was extremely attentive. The art and decor here are quite impressive! It is a lovely place to hang. The bowling lanes have bumper options for kids. Adults and kids all enjoy their time here! There’s also arcade games as well. There are a ATM and change machine in the venue. Not 100% sure if the bowling is wheelchair accessible as I did not see a ramp.

We came after the concert on Thursday and got the pleasure of having her as our server, we were excited when we came back before the game on Friday to be greeted by her again! Her energy, humour, and overall service made our experience a 10/10. We will definitely be back and hopefully she’ll be working again! Thanks again :)

We had such a great time at The Banquet Bar! The atmosphere was fun, energetic, and perfect for a night out, but what really made our visit memorable was our server, Bojana. She's an absolute sweetheart! Super friendly, attentive, and had such a great energy that made us feel welcome right from the start. You can tell she really cares about her guests and loves what she does.

First time to Banquet before last nights game and we will absolutely be back! It was busy but we couldn’t tell by the exceptional service we got from our server, thank you Rose! She suggested great food and drink options for our party and kept us laughing all evening. See you next time!

The Rec Room is a popular entertainment venue with multiple locations across Canada. It features two patios, one downstairs with surround sound TVs and high top dining, and another upstairs for quality lounging. Visitors can enjoy games and then relax on the patio for a complete afternoon of fun. The food is described as average, with options like the Rec Room Burger, fries, hot wings, loaded nachos, and chicken tacos. Some visitors found the burger to be dry but enjoyed the wings and nachos.
We visited The Rec Room South Edmonton twice this week, and had a great time both days! Tuesday is definitely the best day to visit since all the games are half price, which makes it so much more fun and worth it. The place is very clean, tidy, and full of energy with good music and an overall lively vibe. There are easily 50+ games and entertainment consoles here plenty to keep you entertained for hours. Some games are absolutely fantastic, though a few have loose joysticks due to overuse. It might be nice if an IT or maintenance check is done every couple of months to keep everything running smoothly. I also gave feedback to the Trophy Case counter staff about the King Kong Dinosaur VR game it’s an awesome concept but could be risky since there’s a big iron pillar right beside the console. For the player sitting on the right side, there’s a chance of bumping into it and possibly injuring a wrist or damaging a watch. Hopefully, they relocate that setup for safety. Other than that, the staff were helpful and kind, and the overall experience was excellent. You really won’t get bored here at all! One small suggestion I couldn’t find a drinking water dispenser anywhere around, which would be a nice addition. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind, play, and have fun with friends or family. Highly recommended!

We recently visited The Rec Room and had a fun time, especially enjoying the bowling. Some of the other games were just okay, and unfortunately, a few game machines weren’t working properly. There were also issues with game credits not being given correctly, and staff assistance was lacking in resolving this. On the plus side, having an SPC card gets you extra tickets, which is a nice perk. Overall, it’s a good spot for a fun outing with friends and family, but a little more maintenance and customer support would improve the experience.

Games and everything works pretty good. We did the ax throwing those kind of fun played a lot of the games. But the food food was horrible. Took like 45 minutes for it to come and definitely wasn't worth the wait my bottom my burger was soggy over sauce dripping that's kind of like jalapeno poppers they weren't hot at all. The fries were really small and like crumbs bottom of the bag we're not well cooked. The pizza might have been the best part we got the meat lovers. Still on the bottom 50% of what it should be like.

Such a great place to spend the night at and stay entertained for entire time. Darts is something that I like the most even though i’ve had couple of issues with it working not properly. But after asking the staff they helped me out and i had a lot of fun by the end of the day. Pool is something great about this place too but sometimes there is a bit of the line so you may end up waiting for a decent time in busy hours

Our first experience here was great. But on our second visit (a Saturday), we couldn’t do much. The bowling had a wait time of over an hour, and the arcades were packed to the brim. It felt like they were running over capacity. After an hour of aimlessly roaming through the crowd, we left feeling disappointed. Won’t be visiting again anytime soon.

What a fun place! We spent hours there. It brought out the kids in us, not just a playground for children! We enjoyed some alcoholic beverages as well as a delicious meal in between throwing axes, 10 pin bowling, and trying to beat the high score on the driving simulator. It was a little pricey, we dropped $100 to start, but between the 3 of us, we enjoyed over 4 hours of fun for that amount. Dinner and drinks were not anymore expensive than any other sit down meal establishment. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and well put together the meals were. The food was better than I expected for a gaming establishment. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. I will be going again and will recommend it to my family and friends when they are in Edmonton! Thanks for a fun afternoon! 🙌🏼

This is like a guilt free casino experience for adults lol and that’s the best way to put it, their prizes don’t such either. Went here with my friends many times and they have a lot of competitive games and it’s a very cool experience overall. Not expensive either. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

We came here for lunch and the food was surprisingly good. We started with the tomato basil burrata which was fantastic. The sauce is really good and the size is good for the price. The only fault is they should have more bread pieces since we ran out. For the main we shared the butchers daughter pizza which again was very good. There was a good amount of toppings and with an appetizer it was plenty big for 2 people. Service was actually good and pretty quick but it was very quiet at lunch time compared to dinner time. They have a free coat check by the entrance which made playing the games much more enjoyable. We especially like the connect 4 basketball game but there was often a line up so it would be nice if they had a couple more of it.

The Starlite Room, located in downtown Edmonton, has a rich history as a legendary music venue. Hosting renowned acts like Nirvana and Green Day before they rose to fame, it continues to attract both popular and emerging artists. With a focus on quality over genre, the venue showcases diverse performances ranging from indie bands to rising stars. While rooted in indie and punk, it also welcomes country, metal, pop, and hip-hop acts.
Was there to see the Real Mckenzies and the Dreadnoughts, with some other great opening acts by the Night Howl and Devil's Sons. Had a great spot on the upper level balcony because I showed up fairly early. Sounded great and the lighting was awesome. Several bars throughout the venue so easy to get a drink if you wanted.

The Starlite Room is one of the most welcoming and enjoyable venues around. It has a great atmosphere that feels both relaxed and well-organized, and the staff are always friendly and helpful, creating a really positive vibe for everyone. While the sound quality could be a bit better, it’s still good enough to enjoy the performances, and the energy of the space often makes up for it. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for live music, with a laid-back and inclusive feel that keeps people coming back.

This place is an Edmonton staple and has been for as long as I've been going to shows. The high stage mixed with the raised area behind is amazing no matter how tall you are for viewing a show. Security and staff are all friendly and it's not a " No. Moshing" bullshit venue. I have staged dived and moshed and been hammered or sober more times than I can count. This is one of my all-time favorite venues. And I don't want to hear any complaints about the slanted floor. It was a theater. It's historical. Get into it.

Cool venue. Weird to see the floor slope upward to the stage but the whole venue is good. Staff are super nice and helpful. Weird entering up the side alley but not a big deal. Food and bar downstairs you can watch the live concert upstairs at. Most unique setup in Herr, I like it. Seen born of osiris, the browning. Convictions and age of ashes here. Great show.

The music quality was good. Service at the bars was fast. No seating at all sucked. Arrived just after 7 to get in line. Tickets stated show started at 8 but that’s when the doors opened and show wasn’t until 9, which was an opener and the artist we came for didn’t come on until 10… my dogs were barkin to say the least. Glad I stood on the top floor near a handrail to lean on. We went close for the last few songs but glad I wasn’t there any longer cause my ears were damaged! But that’s just normal for standing so close to speakers.. Overall a great live music experience. A little hot inside so dress accordingly! Bathrooms were down stairs but overall clean so no complaints.

Standing room only, but at least there's good access to drinks wherever you are during concerts. It was so got during a sold out show we thought we were going to pass out, but someone else did so we took a break

I brought my son here the other week to join my girls brunch and it was the best! It was so much fun for all of us girls, but the service was phenomenal to take care of him as well. The Dutch baby was SO good, we shared a bunch of brunch items and everything was fantastic. The pet friendly patio is a kid and kid at hearts dream! The service was truly wonderful and the manager Chris made sure to bring water for our dog and kept checking on us. Can’t wait to come back!

Will definitely be going back again to try other menu items.

I have a personal rule. Any place I go to that serves fish tacos, I'm going fish tacos 100P. I have heard the other menu items are good but I can only review the fish tacos... which are deadly. I can vouch for the crisp beers though, for I slam a half-dozen per visit minimum. They go down real smooth here.

We had such a great time at Local Jasper in Edmonton, thanks to our amazing bartender, Damien. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcome, like regulars. Whether recommending wine, a cold craft beer, or the perfect appetizer, Damien nailed it. If you’re at Local Jasper, grab a seat at Damien’s bar, you won’t be disappointed. The General Manager Chris is amazing as well and makes sure you are well taken care of!

The Jasper location for Local has been my and my wife's favorite location for a long time now. Our favorite meal was the breakfast sandwich, which was changed recently into something a little too salty/savory for us. We asked the staff if they'd be willing to make us the original one and they did so happily. I can't say enough good things about our server Meghan and the cook, Hugo, who were so kind to accommodate us! We've only experienced 5 star service in all the many times we've visited but this was above and beyond for us and we needed to make sure to show our appreciation. Thanks to Meghan, Hugo and the rest of the staff at Local, you're the best!

The friendly staff are always available to assist, making the experience enjoyable for everyone. Chef Taylor's passion for food shines through in the fantastic dishes served here.
Greta Bar is an absolutely incredible experience for a night out or a group activity like we did. Our team was looking for a fun way to connect and build stronger relationships outside of work. We booked a catered party to Greta that not only had a delicious spread but play cards for everyone to enjoy the games. The response from everyone was overwhelming, they loved playing pinball, taking pictures in the photo booth and racing in Mario cart. The food was so tasty, and many different options including dessert. The service was incredible, the staff checked in with consistently to make sure we had everything we needed. Our booking, and follow up by the Manager was so professional and kind. They really made us feel like they genuinely cared about us and our business. Thanks Greta!

Came here the other day for the first time and it was alright. I found the environment to be incredibly over stimulating. Very loud, lots of flashing lights, the game was on. It for sure not a place you wanna go if you’re looking for a calmer atmosphere or if you want to hold a conversation (and this was quiet Thursday night) the food was okay. We got the chicken skewers as a starter and I found the chicken too fatty and it came on shredded lettuce and plain rice. Then we had the birria grilled cheese and the chipotle steak tacos. The grilled cheese and the dill fries were delicious. The steak tacos had too much kale and the meat was a bit tough. Overall I didn’t love the vibe or the food so I probably won’t be back.

I'm here for the first time today 'cause of the unlimited wings deal they have on Thursdays. I tried the Korean and BBQ flavors, and I loved them. I wish they had more flavors, though. The chef even got us free chips because we didn't want the vegetables, he's so nice! I love the ambiance. Seeing that one of the bartenders is an ordained minister is a pretty fun fact. Definitely a fun bar to go with friends, there's a lot of fun arcade machines.

Visitors rave about their must-try pizzas with fantastic crusts and consistent quality. The happy hour offers delicious yet affordable food, prompt and friendly service, and reasonably priced drinks.
Jack's Bar and Kitchen is an absolute gem! From being greeted with warm smiles and friendly banter from the staff. The service was impeccable, and the young lady who served me was a standout – knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Her friendly demeanor made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The star of the show, however, was the food and drink. The chicken wings were a revelation – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and boasting a flavour profile that was simply irresistible. And let's not forget the $5 beers, which were the perfect complement to the delicious food. With its fantastic staff, incredible value, and mouthwatering menu, Jack's Bar and Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great time and even better food. We had such a disappointing visit here on Sunday. We went for my niece's birthday, most of the family drove in from Devon just to go to this place. There were 10 of us in total. We started arriving at 6 and it was promising -- the server was attentive and brought us water. Shortly after 6 everyone had arrived but it took the server probably 15 minutes to come back and take our order. (I should note, there were literally no other tables in the restaurant, just 5 or so "regulars" drinking/socializing at the bar but not eating). Our order was placed around 6:30. One pizzas came fairly quickly (maybe 15 mins or so) but it went downhill from there. Food came out one at a time, with quite a long delay between waves. The server also never came back to check on the food that was delivered or refill drinks or clear plates, etc. it seemed obvious she was trying to avoid us because she was quite aware of the wait. I had been waiting for my taco salad for almost an hour (I am not kidding, it was about 55 minutes and it still hadn't arrived) when I finally flagged her down and said 'just forget it'. Everyone else was done eating except me and two more of us (at that point we were still waiting on another pizza). The server did apologize and said she tried to tell the cook to make our food but he was busy with food delivery app orders? I saw three delivery drivers come in the entire time we were there and they were waiting around too. The server did end up bringing the taco salad out a bit later, and when I looked at the meat I immediately said "this isn't beef". She insisted three times it was ground beef, but as you can see in the photo, it was pork sausage. And it was also cold. I have never been served a taco salad like this in my life, yet alone wait an hour for a salad. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. Overall we spent 2 hours there and I didn't even eat. I really don't understand how they can't handle basic meals for a table of 10 in an empty restaurant. The other thing that grossed me out was the locals smoke right outside the front door, and the smoke and smell comes right through the door cracks, right where we were sitting. The washroom was also filthy. I will never come here again.
Luke R — Google review
Harsh was an incredible server! Super bubbly, sweet, and caring. She was consistently making sure our drinks were full and brought our food out very quickly. Definitely recommend this place as the atmosphere was like no other for the oilers game! Lovely place, friendly, over all great atmosphere
Kaylee W — Google review
Worst service ever by the owner( guy with the turban) ordered blue moon beer which was flat and tasted like rotten fruit juice cheap on the garnish after letting the server know after just a sip of it that the beer had gone bad still had to pay because according to the owner “items ones sold will not be taken back”. So we ended up going to Chili peppers anccross the street and had a great food and service at chilli peppers. Jacks lost a potential customer who would have happily spent $60-$90 just by voiding or changing the beer. I guess very new to the hospitality industry!!! Hopefully learns quickly before it’s too late!!! Will never go back
Tulika S — Google review
Downgrading 5 star to 1 star. The new owners absolutely ruined the food quality. This location used to have amazing food. This is a perfect example of greed ruining good things. Altering the quality of the offering while keeping the same cost. I hope this decision has serious financial implications for the new owners.
Brett G — Google review
Great first experience, we walked in on a Sat night (after an oilers game no less) We quickly ordered and were served up some 5 dollar beers and decided on sharing a small paneer tikka pizza. It was so good! Tasted like fresh ingredients and flavor! For me, I was loving that I could it to eat with my hands and it not be soggy or a drippy greasy mess. Our waitress Harsh was so pleasant to pair with a great food experience. I've spent more money on worse food for 2 on fast food. I look forward to trying their other items next time.
Nicole B — Google review
The food was cheap during happy hour and was so tasty! Pizza was a 5/5 and will definitely be back to order more :) Service was prompt and friendly, mind you only 2 tables in there at the time but they were on top of everything. Drinks were a good price, seems like a good little bar when it gets busy at night. Thought it would be a bit more up to date but the back area near the bathrooms make it feel like an older pub. Nevertheless I think this will be my go to quick beer and food on my way home from work! The pizza was a lot bigger than expected and filled myself and my partner up for $10. The whole food menu is priced fairly well. They do have an ATM, VLT and two billiards tables as well. If you live in the area it's the only bar around

Only a one star for October 12, 2025. The dj played the absolute opposite of line dancing songs for line dance hour. Maybe played 3-4. The rest were regular party songs. Don't bring him back or il never come back as well as my group. There's over 30 of us here strictly for line dance.

It's a fun place but they let a girl around there run the place like she owns it. Me and my friends were dancing on stage and she pushed us off because she wanted room for herself and the staff just stood there and did nothing. She did this multiple times too and the staff was nowhere to be found, I honestly would not go back there if you want safety.

We got in around 1am and as CFR was happening in town and the place was packed shoulder-to-shoulder. As we entered the main area, my friend accidentally bumped into someone who instantly violently assaulted, giving him no chance to defend himself. Staff was unresponsive and slow to react. I know it was extremely busy, but if you can’t ensure the safety of all patrons then I have no respect for your club and we will never be returning. Do better cook county

It's not many times that I was treated this rudely. I came to hear a techno show on Saturday, September 21st and the DJs were so good that I stayed until the very end. Not even a minute after the music stopped, a security guard approached me and said: "You need to leave right now!" It's like once there was no money to be made from me, I turned from a guest to a nuisance. I collected my backpack and before I even had a chance to put my jacket on, the same security guard came again and told me I had to leave immediately. I understand that people want to go home at the end of their shift, and that intoxicated people may be a challenge to direct, but there was no need to treat people like kettle. It really doesn't make me want to come back. That being said, the coat check guy makes up in friendliness and customer service skills what the security guy lacks. I've been to 99ten three times and he was always awesome - as was the bar staff: friendly and helpful. The venue has an eclectic decor, beautiful surround sound, hardwood dancefloor and about half a dozen cozy booths for sitting down. I am quite fond of the place so it's a real shame that they can't seem to find a security staff that treats patrons with respect - having read other people's reviews I'm not the only one with similar experience.

Amazing wedding venue! We had our wedding at 9910 in May and it was everything we hoped for and more. Kyla and Justin were fantastic to work with, they were flexible and made the planning process seamless. We wanted the wedding to feel like a fun cocktail party and it was exactly that. It's an intimate space for a small ceremony - they set it up beautifully with all our personal details considered. The food was fantastic and our guests raved about it. We loved the opportunity to have our own personal cocktails from the bar. It was also great value for money with ample food and no extra fees. The evening was absolutely perfect and we can't thank Kyla and Justin enough. We all had the best time.

They have super friendly staff and a really cool intimate lay out for all types of event goers! If you haven’t been I would recommend checking it out next time you have a chance!

Dance club
Night club
If you're on the hunt for an unforgettable nightlife experience, look no further than Y AfterHours. This electrifying three-level nightclub is a haven for electronic music enthusiasts and dance lovers alike. Open from 1 AM until sunrise, it caters to those who want to keep the party going well into the early hours. With a rotating lineup of talented DJs spinning pulsating beats, Y AfterHours creates an atmosphere that draws in crowds eager to dance and connect with fellow music aficionados.
Wow! The absolute best place for EDM music if you're in Edmonton. It's everything you'd expect from an underground/ after-hours place. There are 3 floors. Upstairs is a smaller room to sit and play some games or escape for a minute. The main level has hard wood floors to dance on with a few places to sit. This level also has the restrooms and coat check. This establishment doesn't sell alcohol or food. However, they do sell water, soda, and Gatorade. The lower level had another DJ booth with seating around the wall and an open dance floor. I didn't notice if there was another bathroom or not on this level. Come as you are to dance the night/morning away. You will not be disappointed. A big thank you to the staff and owner for making this American girl feel welcomed and safe. I will be back!

I went to this club for the first time this Saturday May 10th and had a great time. Aside from the other patrons and the good company there, I was mostly impressed by the Staff, they were all so friendly and approachable, I had good conversations with many. Most importantly however is my friend took too much of a substance and instead of kicking us out or shaming us, the staff looked after her and provided a safe space for her by taking her into the back rooms. When she was better when they give her juice and care we took her home and looked after her. I usually don't leave Google reviews like this but they impressed me do much that i wanted to repay it somehow, this and my repeat business is one way I can do that. Good job Y-afterhours 👏! - Ryan P

Excellent vibes from all the staff and clientele. They do pay you down at the door. The music was house and so good. Smoking patio out back. I left at 6 am and it was still going hard. 🥰 They should open one in Calgary.

The Y After Hours Club is a remarkable venue that has clearly left a lasting impression on its patrons. With over a decade of dancing experience within its walls, the club offers an inviting atmosphere that feels therapeutic. The positive vibes, where everyone is happy and free, create a unique sense of community. The DJs are exceptional, consistently delivering energizing sets that keep the dance floor alive. Many regulars reminisce about the fun of the basement, where attendees could choose between different DJs, adding an exciting layer to the experience. The staff deserves special mention for their commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. Their attentiveness and professionalism contribute significantly to the overall experience, making it a top choice for anyone looking to dance. Overall, if you love to lose yourself in music and movement, the Y After Hours Club is highly recommended for an unforgettable night out! Kee up the excellent work 😁

This place was always my last choice when there were 3 clubs in a 3 block radius. Climax, G Spot and Therapy(now is the Y) climax wasy favorite. 3 big floors and lots of drum n bass and hard house. Spent many many hours at all three clubs but only reason I go to the Y now is it's the only club left....But it has gotten better since back in the day Imo

Y knot...Uh duh! Y hours are infinitely well placed. Alphabetically and oppositely speaking, Y to K are the most non-important symbols that didn't happened in is this futuristic ancient civilization 24 solar cycles ahead! It is said the owners are benevolent Aliens from another slice of the infiverse!  The security are pacifist warriors! The coat check receives coats and returns vacation wear, they sell strange and marvelous technology if you know how to grok it. And the DJ's are profets that beam the good news straight into your medulla oblongata! If you're lucky enough you might hear the most wubfull songs of Moly Hother Tianna J the illest! "Egg menure! Egg Menure!" The humans cry, inside out. "One of us? One of us!" Everything is sacred, but nothing is perfect, hence the beauty! So could use more lasers...🤔

Cocktail bar
Pablo Cocktail Lounge is a hidden gem located in the basement below El Beso on 10432 Jasper Avenue in Edmonton. The swanky and sultry ambiance, complete with candles and red neon lights, makes it a must-visit spot for those seeking a glamorous experience. The lounge offers comfortable seating and an impressive selection of tasty cocktails.
When Pablo opened, it was a really cool cocktail bar, in an intimate setting. Somewhere along the line, it became a cheap and terrible “club vibe” bar with blaring music and horrible drinks. My most recent visit was great. Kimberly, the bar manager, provided amazing service. And the new drink menu was great, exactly what this bar was initially trying to achieve. I think Pablo has gone back to it’s roots and is once again a cool, trendy cocktail bar

I really appreciated the vibe of this place. It has a club feel with a intimate cocktail lounge vibe at the same time. Make sure you get your drinks from Kimberley. She’s a phenomenal mixologist and very lovely to chat with.
Mark D — Google review
A hidden spot in the basement below El Beso, this is a cool cocktail lounge. We tried three of their cocktails and all were tasty, but we were surprised there were no food options listed on the menu (maybe there was a separate one for food?). The atmosphere was a mix of 1960s-80s paraphanelia in a narrow, dimly lit room. The music was quite loud, which made it difficult to have conversations without shouting. We were hoping the music was at a lower volume given the small space and lack of a dance floor.

What an amazing place, great service and no line up. Get yer Latin soul going in this spot. Reminded me of a little Cancun or Puerto Vallarta for a groovy vibe.
Wayne D — Google review
Terrible experience at this place. My boyfriend and I were with another couple and we had ordered two drinks. When we finally received our bills i was charged for our entire table after the other couple had already paid their half. So now we had basically paid twice. I spoke to the server and she brought me upstairs to discuss a refund with the manager. He had taken my card and told me it’s on the house and i would receive my money back and if i didn’t, to contact him. As expected i never received a refund and emailed him directly, also contacted the bar and have yet to receive a response. I would not recommend this place, very poor customer service and very unhappy.

The venue is conveniently situated near Alex Decoteau Park, which features an active dog park. Its central location provides easy access to various amenities within walking distance. Alex Decoteau Park is directly northwest across the intersection, which has a nice and very active dog park. Very central location within easy walking distance of many amenities, eg.: + access to the Capital and Metro LRT lines is just a block away (Bay station, northeast corner of Jasper Ave and 104 St) + there will (eventually) be a Valley line stop right beside the park + large grocery store (Save-On Foods) is just 500 metres west, smaller Loblaws City Market is 425 metres northeast in the ICE District + Rogers Place is 600 metres away + Don Wheaton Family YMCA is 300 metres east + decent hotel right next door for any guests you have visiting + dozens of restaurants, cafes, and bars within a few blocks Note that this is a condominium building: any rental is managed by the owner of the particular apartment, so your rental experience may vary. Beware that short-term rentals (eg. Airbnb) are forbidden and may result in the owner getting fined and the renters being summarily removed from the building. All pets require approval from the condominium board (if you are a responsible pet owner and your pet is well-behaved, you won't have a problem).

Word of warning: Own an always-on dashcam, and maybe bring a can of mace if you're in the parking lot alone. They claim video surveillance, but that's just for the ground-level entry door? Had a hit-and-run happen to my car here, but they don't have any cameras for real security. Kind of embarrassing. Wouldn't rent here again.

The establishment is known for its exceptional customer service and attention to detail. Visitors praise the personalized experience and the impressive selection of coffee and wine.
Best Date night experience ☺️ 💯 Worth the drive from Edmonton! I legit left my phone in the cab on the way over, and booked on an app so couldn't remember the cab company, and Tammy tracked down the driver with legit only knowing the color of the cab that dropped us of. They legit go above and beyond to make sure your experience is not just good, but a night you will never forget. ❤️❤️❤️ Not to mention the amazing selection of 🍷 and ☕. Both the freshly ground coffee and bottle of wine we got were a 10/10. And the charcuterie bored Is HUDGE 🍖 We couldn't even finish it all. The desserts were next level as well 🍥🍰 😍 the night is filled with so many fun activities the question game they have helped me learn a few new things about my husband, which after 7 years of being together I didn't even know was possible 😅😅😅 SUCH A PERFECT NIGHT and so worth it.

Historical landmark
Fort Edmonton Park is a 58-acre living history museum located in the North Saskatchewan River Valley, offering a journey through different eras of Edmonton's history. The park features four sections representing distinct periods: the fur trading era, settlement era, municipal era, and metropolitan era. Visitors can explore replica buildings, interact with costumed performers, enjoy pioneer games and activities like horse-drawn carriages and wagon rides. A fully functional 1919 steam train adds to the immersive experience.
We visit at least twice a year and the kids (and us) love it. It’s beautifully maintained and cared for and all the experiences feel authentic. Highlight of the park is always going on the train with the animals and Fairground close behind. With the kids being so young we stay for around 3 hours but as they grow and become more curious I can see that doubling. I also really appreciate facilities that allow you to bring food in. With the kids it’s important to get what you need when you need it and not just rely on what you can buy.

So my first time checking it out. I decided to pay for the extra fast pass, and it was definitely worth it. I was in every attraction in 5 minutes or less with long line-ups, but not one time was I asked to show my fast pass. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't asked, so who knows how many people are abusing this. As far as the show goes, it's an awesome place to do this at Fort Edmonton Park, but it definitely felt like more of a tame, family-oriented Halloween theme. The actors were very mellow, very quiet. Lots of rubber masks, which I find horrible. The haunts were three out of ten, not very scary, not very original. But the lighting outside was great. The idea is awesome, but the haunts were just not there. The food was expensive. I give the show a 3 out of 10. 🎃🎢🎭👎 #Halloween #Haunts #Park #Actors #Masks #Food

So fun! Actors were amazing…I can not express how awesome they were! They went above and beyond making each scare personalized, bought the fast pass so worth it never waited more than 2 minutes and got to get to each haunt twice and the experience was so different from the last. The first time going to something like this and personally it was just right. Each scare was so different it made it so fun, definitely coming back.

Green onion cakes food truck was amazing. As were the mini donuts. First time there and the experience was unforgettable. Haunted house so good i went through it twice. Highly recommend. Of course the ACTORS. Played their parts extremely well. Good job to all.

A very great place for your to learn about Alberta’s own history and the history about Edmonton and how it become capital city of Alberta. The staff inside there is role play in different era and dress accordingly. They are knowledgeable and explain to us what they represent. It’s divided by era and you can either walk or take steam train which is highly recommended to walk from early era to modern times. Very fantastic place to visit in summer as they closed in winter times. Parking is easy with big parking lot. Recommend to purchase ticket in advance.

Amazing park! I can't believe this is within the city limits! The park is clean and well laid out. The map handout is great to navigate. I recommend taking the train right at the entrance, go to the fort and walk back through the entire park. The indigenous museum was so nice. A sad history that needs to be told! It is so huge! I could have spent an hour or 2 there just reading and looking at everything. The old buildings have great history. Some are the original buildings moved from downtown Edmonton. There are plaques outside each one to tell the history and original locations. I spent four hours there. An awesome experience! Oh, there's a model train exhibit that is so cool!
Binder V — Google review
Really well done and lots to see. Too much to see actually! It’s too much to walk in a day. It took myself, my elderly father in law and my husband 4 hours to see it all. The steam engine train ride was great, but the streets and buildings are too far apart so I’m not sure how they could improve that. The staff were friendly and actors along the way were a nice addition. Nice to go on a day that’s not too hot cause you will do a lot of outside walking. Interesting experience though for all who like history!
Jodie P — Google review
Fort Edmonton Park is such a fun and educational place to visit with family! It’s the perfect spot to spend the whole day exploring, learning, and enjoying time together. There are so many activities and experiences for kids, which makes it an exciting trip for them while also being interesting for adults. From history and culture to interactive exhibits and fun rides, there’s something for everyone. A great place to make lasting memories—I highly recommend it!
