Shopping mall
Shopping
West Edmonton Mall, also known as WEM, is one of the largest malls in North America. It features over 800 shops and a wide range of family attractions. Visitors can enjoy activities such as skating, visiting the water park, exploring Galaxyland Amusement Park, experiencing marine life at Sea Life Caverns, playing golf, and more. The mall also houses two hotels: the themed Fantasyland Hotel and the budget-friendly West Edmonton Mall Inn.
I’ve never been to such a massive mall before! With over 800 stores, it’s not just a shopping destination—it’s an entire experience. The mall features an indoor amusement park, an ice skating rink, an arcade, and even a full water park. There’s also a small marine show that adds to the fun. What really stood out to me is how versatile and family-friendly the place is. There are tons of activities for kids, making it a great spot for families. And when it comes to food, the variety is impressive—there’s something for every taste. The mall is so huge that a few hours just wasn’t enough to explore everything, but I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere and friendly people. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area—it’s definitely worth the trip!

This mall has everything… and somehow nothing at the same time! It’s huge, with a wide variety of stores to explore. There are two food courts plus another large dining area with major restaurant chains. You’ll also find some big-name designer stores for those looking to splurge. For fun, there’s an ice rink, a mini golf course, and so much more to keep the kids entertained. The only downside? There aren’t enough washroom facilities on either level, and they could definitely use more maps to help visitors navigate. If you’re new here, expect to wander a bit before finding what you need. Overall, it’s a beautiful, extremely clean mall—and be prepared, because it’s very busy from Sunday morning straight through to closing time.
Marie C — Google review
Ok, Fantastic Shopping Mall. An absolute gem to have in the city and especially in winter time for local residents to explore, have employment, in away from the cold. Bad news, WEM, this mall, still has absolutely ugly, horrible, unsafe pedestrian and bicycle access. Having made the trek on foot and by bicycle to this mall since it was just Phase 1 to now. Nothing for pedestrian access overall has improved. There is a nice newly refurbished pedestrian bridge between the mall and the hospital spanning the ugliest of highway streets. It's a new pedestrian bridge that still connects to ugly outdated, poor unsafe pedestrian walkways and crossings. And on the mall side it leads to an almost abandoned portion of phase 1 since the Bay closure. The city of Edmonton has an absolute gem of River Valley just a few kilometers away from the Mall. Visitors wouldn't stand a chance to enjoy a walk or bike from the Mall to see it. Which means local residents suffer the same fate. Please make sure to finally work with the city to improve and modernize pedestrian and bicycle access to the Mall from all compass directions. Yes, once largest parking lot in the world accommodates many, still very sad it is an ugly walk from next door to your WEM entrance doors.

West Edmonton Mall is truly an experience, not just a shopping center! It has everything in one place; hundreds of stores, a huge variety of restaurants, and so many fun attractions. I especially loved the indoor waterpark and Galaxyland, perfect for both kids and adults. The atmosphere feels vibrant and welcoming, and the mall is kept clean despite its massive size. It’s easy to spend an entire day here exploring, shopping, eating, and relaxing. Parking was convenient, and staff at the stores and attractions were friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, West Edmonton Mall is definitely worth visiting, there’s always something exciting to do! I had a full day of attraction here, the food court had varieties of food. I was also opportuned to watch a junior hockey league game and a judo competition during my visit.

->Drove 3500 km to knock this visit off the "Bucket list"<- Heard about this place all my life. Always thought "Wow, an amusement park? A waterpark? A hockey rink? Inside a mall?" But that was back in the 80s when malls were - well, everywhere. Now, not so much so. Almost all the malls in my area are gone so visiting a mall (any mall) is a little like visiting "something special" And boy howdy - was this one ever special!! So we spent the most time (and money) in the "coin and stamp" shop, which isn't just coins and stamps. It's also action figures (new and retro), comics, funko pops and much more. A fun shop! We really enjoyed just walking about and seeing all the stuff. Kids on rental "bouncy bike plush ponies", a mini putt course, pirate themed radio control boats, a full waterpark, and even hung around to catch a hockey game. We ate junk food and checked out Galaxyland (largest indoor amusement park: rides for kids; many Hasbro board-game themed). General pass for adults in 2025 is about $65 (pre tax), kids about $55 and you can pay more to add on mini golf and mirror maze and other stuff. Geez, what a place! Definitely worth seeing at least once! Remember where you parked, eh?

Very cool experience for the first timer. Most every shop imaginable, including all the extras...ice skating, giant wave pool, bowling, theatre, seal exhibit and show, pirate ship adventure, Fantasyland Hotel...the list goes on. Im not much of an shopper, more of an explorer, so its certainly a neat explore.
Greg H — Google review
It's said to be the largest mall in North America and I had to see it. I wasn't able to quite cover the entire mall as the main purpose of my visit was to shop. And boy, every turn has me glued in for more than an hour. Elevators and escalators well positioned, #wheelchair accessibility all and around l. Plus, lots of fun things to do. Like ice skating, ice hockey, indoor pool, fun kid rides and many more

West Edmonton Mall is truly an unforgettable experience! It’s not just a shopping destination but also an adventure. With hundreds of stores, an indoor amusement park, a waterpark, and even an ice rink, there’s something for everyone. The variety of dining options is amazing, and the atmosphere is lively no matter what time of year you visit. It feels like a small city under one roof, offering endless entertainment, shopping, and fun for families, friends, and travelers from all over the world.

Fort Edmonton Park is a 58-acre living history museum located in the North Saskatchewan River Valley, offering a journey through different eras of Edmonton's history. The park features four sections representing distinct periods: the fur trading era, settlement era, municipal era, and metropolitan era. Visitors can explore replica buildings, interact with costumed performers, enjoy pioneer games and activities like horse-drawn carriages and wagon rides. A fully functional 1919 steam train adds to the immersive experience.
We visit at least twice a year and the kids (and us) love it. It’s beautifully maintained and cared for and all the experiences feel authentic. Highlight of the park is always going on the train with the animals and Fairground close behind. With the kids being so young we stay for around 3 hours but as they grow and become more curious I can see that doubling. I also really appreciate facilities that allow you to bring food in. With the kids it’s important to get what you need when you need it and not just rely on what you can buy.

So my first time checking it out. I decided to pay for the extra fast pass, and it was definitely worth it. I was in every attraction in 5 minutes or less with long line-ups, but not one time was I asked to show my fast pass. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't asked, so who knows how many people are abusing this. As far as the show goes, it's an awesome place to do this at Fort Edmonton Park, but it definitely felt like more of a tame, family-oriented Halloween theme. The actors were very mellow, very quiet. Lots of rubber masks, which I find horrible. The haunts were three out of ten, not very scary, not very original. But the lighting outside was great. The idea is awesome, but the haunts were just not there. The food was expensive. I give the show a 3 out of 10. 🎃🎢🎭👎 #Halloween #Haunts #Park #Actors #Masks #Food

So fun! Actors were amazing…I can not express how awesome they were! They went above and beyond making each scare personalized, bought the fast pass so worth it never waited more than 2 minutes and got to get to each haunt twice and the experience was so different from the last. The first time going to something like this and personally it was just right. Each scare was so different it made it so fun, definitely coming back.

Green onion cakes food truck was amazing. As were the mini donuts. First time there and the experience was unforgettable. Haunted house so good i went through it twice. Highly recommend. Of course the ACTORS. Played their parts extremely well. Good job to all.

A very great place for your to learn about Alberta’s own history and the history about Edmonton and how it become capital city of Alberta. The staff inside there is role play in different era and dress accordingly. They are knowledgeable and explain to us what they represent. It’s divided by era and you can either walk or take steam train which is highly recommended to walk from early era to modern times. Very fantastic place to visit in summer as they closed in winter times. Parking is easy with big parking lot. Recommend to purchase ticket in advance.
Zhaohan X — Google review
Amazing park! I can't believe this is within the city limits! The park is clean and well laid out. The map handout is great to navigate. I recommend taking the train right at the entrance, go to the fort and walk back through the entire park. The indigenous museum was so nice. A sad history that needs to be told! It is so huge! I could have spent an hour or 2 there just reading and looking at everything. The old buildings have great history. Some are the original buildings moved from downtown Edmonton. There are plaques outside each one to tell the history and original locations. I spent four hours there. An awesome experience! Oh, there's a model train exhibit that is so cool!
Binder V — Google review
Really well done and lots to see. Too much to see actually! It’s too much to walk in a day. It took myself, my elderly father in law and my husband 4 hours to see it all. The steam engine train ride was great, but the streets and buildings are too far apart so I’m not sure how they could improve that. The staff were friendly and actors along the way were a nice addition. Nice to go on a day that’s not too hot cause you will do a lot of outside walking. Interesting experience though for all who like history!

Fort Edmonton Park is such a fun and educational place to visit with family! It’s the perfect spot to spend the whole day exploring, learning, and enjoying time together. There are so many activities and experiences for kids, which makes it an exciting trip for them while also being interesting for adults. From history and culture to interactive exhibits and fun rides, there’s something for everyone. A great place to make lasting memories—I highly recommend it!

Nestled in the heart of Edmonton, the Muttart Conservatory is a captivating botanical attraction featuring four glass pyramids that house diverse plant collections. With over 700 plant species across different biomes, this horticultural gem offers an educational and visually stunning experience. Each pyramid represents a distinct environment, from lush tropical landscapes to arid deserts, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to explore various ecosystems without leaving the city.
What a beautiful place!! It was amazing! I enjoyed all four pyramids. So, clean, peaceful and well put together. I was very relaxed and it was very Zen like to be there. I sat in the Arid room on the comfortable chair at the entrance and felt like I was transported away. They have done a wonderful job. The flowers and grounds outside are beautiful and full of flowers everywhere!

Such a beautiful place!!! There are 4 pyramids with different plants in them! The pyramids themselves aren't huge, however there are a ton of plants in each!! I was a little sad there wasn't any butterflies however it was still worth the trip!! The parking is free, however you do have to register your plate when you go in. There are benches in the pyramids to sit and relax. There is also a cute coffee shop with tons of seating. They also have seating outside which is really nice also!! Would definitely go again :)

Some days we forget that beautiful things don’t need words. Take a moment to enjoy nature. The air is different in there somehow, take a sit and breathe and if possible ‘exhale’. Plan to figure out a way to can the fresh air. Wanted to buy a plant by I remember that plants also need love, hopefully when I come another the next time I am brave enough and love sufficient to buy one. Also, met some classy ladies and gentleman today. They all seemed so full of life and still at the same time, I took notes.

A great place to relax and get inspired! The Botanical Garden impresses with its variety of plants and flowers, well-groomed territory and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for a walk in nature, taking photos or just a pleasant day with the family. There is also a wonderful cafe, where you can buy flowers and souvenirs. There is free parking for visitors, which can be reserved for a maximum of 6 hours.

We had so much fun at the Muttart Conservatory! It was the perfect family outing—beautiful, educational, and full of wonder. My daughter loved exploring all the domes, especially the tropical one. She was thrilled with the coloring activity and absolutely adored meeting the mermaid—such a special touch! Meanwhile, my little one was mesmerized by the colorful fish swimming around and couldn’t stop pointing at all the vibrant plants and flowers. The on-site café was fantastic too—great food, friendly staff, and delicious flavors. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, enchanting experience. Five stars! 🌿✨

A must visit conservatory museum, and I was thoroughly impressed! The ample parking space made it easy to park, and the building's exterior already hinted at the beauty within. Upon entering, I was struck by the neat and well-maintained interiors. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pyramid biomes were fascinating, showcasing a stunning array of plants from around the world. The café was a highlight, offering delicious refreshments and a cozy atmosphere. But what truly stole the show was the beautifully planted floor garden at the entrance to the museum.A small souvenir shop is also present that has good collectables. I highly recommend this plant conservatory museum to anyone who loves nature, botany, or just needs a peaceful retreat.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Fleur de Villes display. Absolutely stunning displays. It was a curated event displaying 15 florists from Edmonton. Such wonderful talented individuals we have. We enjoyed wandering through all the pyramids and want to go it more often. In December there is usually a Christmas poinsettia display in the show pavilion.

Absolutely love the Muttart! Went for brunch today (so yum!) and checked out the new feature pyramid: Under the Sea! Best exhibit I have ever seen at the muttart! Breathtakingly stunning displays of flowers and plants! 10/10 check it out! Perfect photo set up for families too!

The Royal Alberta Museum, located in downtown Edmonton's Arts District, is the largest museum in Western Canada. With over 82,000 square feet of exhibition space, it houses a diverse collection of artifacts that offer insight into Alberta's geological and human history. Visitors can explore exhibits on First Peoples, fossils, wildlife, and the province's landscape from petroglyphs to prehistoric dinosaurs. The museum also delves into the survival of First Nations in harsh lands and how Alberta has evolved since then.
Infamous museums. How can one be more interesting than other? It was Orcas on display. Heartbreaking to see how humans treat animals for profit. Amazing Haida display, movie and tons of informative content on these beautiful creatures. The rest of the museum has year round exhibits. Great way to learn about the history of our country. I wish that museum had longer hours on weekends because it’s not enough time to see everything. Gift shop was well equipped, as well as the coffee shop. It was really busy considering that Taste of Edmonton was happening just a few blocks away.

Visit: April 2025 Great museum with a couple of different exhibits. Went to the bug exhibit and the rock/gem and animal exhibit, and a bit of the humanity exhibit Everything was really clean and pristine and there was a lot to see and explore. It was also really quiet when we went (Thursday evening). I also found it really cute that they made pizza and hamburger shaped foods for the insects to eat It was sad that some of the displays were broken or things were missing, and I wish there were some more exhibits, but overall it was a nice adventure.
Daniel T — Google review
Had a great day exploring the RAM. Went for the Orca exhibit and ended up staying for the whole day. Kids really enjoyed it and found it very interesting. They said the insects were their favorite. I think you'll be able to tell what mine was from the pictures. We spent a decent amount of time in each hall or gallery and still didn't read / experience all there was. We went on a Saturday and I was a little worried it would be overcrowded but there was lots of room in each area. We did not feel crowded or rushed at all. We will definitely be going back to explore more.
Jordan H — Google review
Wonderful must visit place if you’re in Edmonton. Lots of things to learn and experience. Cleanliness is amazing. It’s a heaven for the kids to spend time there. I liked the souvenir/gift shop. Recommend to everyone and it’s worth the money.

A nice museum in Edmonton! It's my first time here and the staff at the counter was nice and gave the information to me with a friendly vibe. The ticket is $21 per person (after GST) If you buy a family or annual ticket will be cheaper, for more than 2 people or 2 times of visit. There are historical sections, animal sections, insect sections, gem zones, kids zones, and temporary zones that change every year. 2-3 hours should be enough if you're not reading for every detail on board. They close every Monday, except on public holidays. Nice and recommend 👌

Visited the Royal Alberta Museum a few days ago with my husband and some friends, and I absolutely loved the experience! From the moment we walked in, the environment felt so calm and inviting. The entire space has a serene atmosphere that really lets you take in the beauty and history around you. The artifacts were fascinating—each one telling a story, from ancient history to Alberta’s cultural heritage. I was truly impressed by the attention to detail in every exhibit. We didn’t get to explore everything (it’s huge!), but that just gives me the perfect excuse to go back again soon! If you’re in Edmonton and haven’t been yet, it’s definitely worth the visit. A perfect blend of education, culture, and peace.

The Art Gallery of Alberta, established in 1924, is housed in a modern building constructed from zinc, glass, and steel. Designed by renowned architect Randall Stout, the gallery offers various event spaces for special occasions such as weddings. These include the Ernest C. Manning Hall & Atrium, Borealis Room on the fourth floor creating a floating illusion, Outdoor Sculpture Terrace showcasing permanent sculptures and Ledcor Theatre for ceremonies.
The Art Gallery of Alberta is a fantastic destination that offers a unique and enriching experience. We had the opportunity to visit during the Victims of the Holocaust exhibition, which was deeply moving, as well as the Build Black Civilizations exhibit, showcasing incredible structures created with black Lego bricks. Both exhibitions were thought-provoking and beautifully presented. The gallery spans multiple floors, with the third floor housing additional captivating displays. The main floor features a charming shop with unique finds, perfect for art enthusiasts. Tickets are reasonably priced, making it an accessible and worthwhile outing. The gallery itself is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by great amenities, including a variety of restaurants, bars, and a lovely park nearby. It’s a wonderful spot to spend your time, whether you’re exploring the exhibits, enjoying the area, or simply soaking up the creative atmosphere. Highly recommended!

So lucky to be living in Edmonton and having access to this gallery. The fact that the last Thursday of every month is free is an added bonus. There’s always something interesting in each exhibit, though some are weaker than others but I’m always left inspired when I visit the gallery. There is construction in the area but finding parking nearby has never really been an issue.

A Must-Visit for Art Lovers in Edmonton! I had an amazing time at the Art Gallery of Alberta! The architecture alone is stunning, and stepping inside felt like entering a world of creativity and inspiration. The exhibitions were diverse, thought-provoking, and beautifully curated. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe was both relaxing and engaging. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the city, this place is a gem that celebrates both contemporary and historical art. Definitely worth the visit—and perfect for a little artsy photo shoot outside too! 😊🎨✨

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a great place to visit, especially if you’re a student—admission is free, so it’s worth taking advantage of that. The space itself is well-designed, and the exhibitions are always interesting, with a good mix of contemporary and historical art. I try to go twice a year, and there’s always something new to see. Even if you’re not deeply into art, it’s a nice place to explore and take in different styles and perspectives. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, making it a good spot to step away from the usual routine. I don’t have many clear photos from my visits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you’re in Edmonton, it’s a solid option for an afternoon out, and the free student admission makes it even better.

It is a great Modern Art gallery and it has definitely an impressive architectural design of the building. The variety of the pieces and themes is interesting and intriguing. The total amount of exposition halls inside was a bit smaller than expected and the total visit including buying the tickets and the lovely gift shop with local crafts took about two hours. Definitely a good visit if you love to combine a few activities in one day, but for me it was a bit too short.
Ksenia K — Google review
I visited the Royal Alberta Museum a few days ago with my husband, and we absolutely loved it. The experience was both educational and visually stunning. We saw so many fascinating exhibits and beautiful art pieces—it was hard not to take tons of pictures! The architecture of the museum is truly something to admire. It’s modern, elegant, and incredibly well thought out. You can tell a lot of effort and creativity went into designing the space—it honestly feels like they outdid themselves. Every corner was picture-perfect and added to the overall vibe of the visit. If you’re ever in Edmonton, I highly recommend stopping by. Whether you’re into history, culture, or just looking for a unique day out, RAM delivers on all fronts. We had such a good time and left feeling inspired and impressed!

The Alberta Legislature Building, located in Edmonton, is a stunning architectural gem dating back to 1913. Designed in the beaux-arts style, it exudes power, tradition, and permanence. Despite being more than a century old, it remains one of the most beautiful structures in Edmonton. Serving as the legislative assembly of Alberta, this building offers free guided tours for visitors to appreciate its grandeur and learn about its historical significance.
We visited this place and everything was amazing. There was a 10-minute film about Alberta — it was excellent and completely free. The guided tour lasted about an hour and was very informative. The entire experience was well-organized and enjoyable. Best of all, it was completely free to attend. I highly recommend visiting — it’s definitely worth it. Make sure to book in advance through their website.
Eva Z — Google review
The visit was excellent, with a committed tour guide. We had enough time inside to be able to take as many pictures as we wanted. A must do in Edmonton. The grounds are very safe. I needed a cab at the time and did not have any cell network for some reason, I asked for some help to the policeman at the grounds entrance, he called it for us straight away, so kind ! Canada in a nutshell.
Stanislas T — Google review
The grounds and area are well kept, contain many monuments and historical information signs and are very pedestrian friendly with public washrooms available in places. Sadly, access to Legislature itself is by an ugly side door and at very few hours. A reflection of the government itself. The red tape reduction was a recent positive step. Looking around these grounds and then the city and province you see a contrast of clean and well kept to a very unkempt province. Both getting more and more inaccessible as the Alberta Advantage disappears to pay as you go premiums and hyper inflation. Distance to market used to mean an advantage. Being beside the gateway to the North and being the hub of trade for the region has brought prosperity for a few long term provincial residents. The rest have become taxpayers, private rate payers and eventually poorer overall. While once amazing public institutions are sold at losses to private entities that somehow still get public money and still are monopolies. If your beside the power and resource generation, suffer the immediate fallout and mismanagement, and then pay upwards of 800% more then customers down the line then other provinces or countries. Something is very wrong. Like how access to here is off to a side door and limited. So is the advantage for most at the current moment.
Hello H — Google review
Such an incredible building and grounds; 100% worth a visit! I was amazed by the nice features around the building, like the giant pool in front of the entrance that people can walk around in. At 6 pm the bells sounded, and then they kept up a joyful tune for at least 5 minutes! The grounds are kept extremely clean and tidy, it is clear everything is meticulously cared for. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Edmonton and have an interest in government!
Jared B — Google review
Beautiful gardens and splash park to explore. Go early! Enjoy the quietness before the crowds show up. Going downstairs in the corridors they have a lego version of the legislature building. Well detailed and fun!
Geoffrey B — Google review
Take a tour of this iconic building overlooking the North Saskatchewan River. The Alberta Legislature stands as a symbol of the province’s values and integrity. Built from local sandstone, its interior is finished with marble from Quebec—a bit of irony, considering the independent spirit both provinces are known for. As a working government building, it’s a great place to learn about Alberta’s political history. While you’re there, enjoy the beautiful grounds, fountains, and surrounding parkland.
Bradley J — Google review
Excellent tour of a historically important building. Special thanks to the guide, the story was interesting and the time flew by. But it was nice to visit such a majestic building.

The Alberta Legislature Building is a stunning spot that perfectly blends history, architecture, and scenic beauty. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and walking around gives you a real sense of grandeur and elegance. The views are incredible, whether you’re admiring the building itself or taking in the surrounding cityscape and greenery. It’s a peaceful, inspiring place to stroll, snap photos, or just enjoy a moment of calm in the heart of Edmonton🏛️

TELUS World of Science - Edmonton is a top attraction in Northern Alberta, offering interactive science experiences for visitors of all ages. The center features five permanent galleries with hands-on exhibits on topics like robots and the human body, as well as a state-of-the-art IMAX Theatre and a planetarium showcasing captivating shows. Known for hosting major traveling exhibitions such as Harry Potter: The Exhibition and STAR WARS IDENTITIES, this science center also boasts the largest planetarium in Canada.
We visited on a Sunday and the crowd was not bad at all. The IMAX theater was awesome but I recommend sitting near the back because the front was way too close to enjoy the show. Zeidlar Dome is always a hit with the kids. The place is well kept and clean. The staff is always inviting and helpful. We went as a family of 4 so 2 adults and 2 youth costed us $120. I think the cost is worth it for how much there is to do and see there. You could easily spend 4 hours seeing all the exhibits. There is a cute gift shop, classrooms, labs and a small cafeteria to buy food. I recommend bringing your own snacks and eating outside because it's a really nice space in front of the main entrance. I highly recommend this place for a nice afternoon in Edmonton!

We had a fun afternoon checking everything out. It has been over 3 years since we were last here, so it was fun to see what changed. The main exhibit was really interesting, and I have to give praise to Kevin at the space station. He kept it fun and interesting as he explained everything so even the 10 year old was interested and actually sat still for several minutes. All in all a great afternoon for a family adventure.

There are lots of cool interactive things to do, but not all working. Many exhibits broken, even on the new displays. A little disappointing, but the ones that worked were cool. Really enjoyed the IMAX.

I drove up from Calgary to see the Lego Dinosaur exhibit and was not disappointed, truly a one of a kind experience. Highly recommended, don't miss the chance to see it while it's here. Took my time and didn't rush the exhibit, as a Lego enthusiast and dino admirer this felt like it was made for me. Purple Pear was decent, no complaints and happy to have a place to sit and eat in peace within the Science Center.

A cool place where you can spend the whole time. Especially for children. I liked that you can touch and feel everything. It was especially interesting to observe under a microscope and open the box to smell the herbs. It’s instructive to learn the history of Canada, to understand that magic does not exist and it’s all physics. It was interesting!

The park features a 5-hectare lake with charming islands and spacious grassy areas, making it perfect for various activities. Visitors can enjoy covered picnic sites, nature trails for hiking and biking, and an amphitheater for events. Throughout the year, the park hosts major festivals such as the Edmonton Heritage Festival and the Ice Castles.
Huge park that hosts tons of different festivals. We enjoyed Heritage Days this past weekend and had a fantastic time. The weather was great and the different "countries" we visited were great! Music, food, beautiful costumes abounded. Looking forward to our next festival!

I love hawrelak park. Beauty in the middle of the city. Paddle boots available to rent. Picnic sites can be reserved although some sites have trash after weekend parties. Generally very clean though. Fountain in the middle of man made lake is cool. Lot of shade from trees for any hot day.

I loved the sculptures made in the park, there’s always something new in here, every season has its own colour. Ice skating for kids and adults, jogging and biking and walking can do many things in winters Spring is here and park is so very busy on weekends, all benches and all the bbq were occupied, Parking lots we’re almost full.

Lots of geese , a few sea gulls and some different types of ducks.A very scenic and beautiful place.Lots of greenery . A good amount of bench and a few big rocks to take amazing photos on. If you go in the right season you will see a-lot of baby ducks and geese. Lots of biking and skating space. Lots of beautiful trails sometimes they get crowded. We think its one of the best parks in Edmonton.

1.2-mile loop trail inside Edmonton, Alberta. Generally considered one of beautiful parks routes, it takes an average of 30 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day

Great recreational area right in the heart of the city. Wish you could swim in the lake in the summer but skating on the lake makes up for it in the winter. It hosts varies events during the year. It's a prime piece of land. If the city would add a beach area, it would make the property more desirable. it's still a great place to get away and have a bbq with friends without having to leave the city to get that camping vibe.

This iconic park named after a past mayor of our city , here you can enjoy all 4 seasons ,my favorite is fall , biking , hiking trails are spectacular, grounds well maintained spectacular views of the river and downtown, home to so many special events, just wish the city would invest in bird proof garbage cans !! Fantastic family park !!

Beautiful park, surprisingly bigger than it looks! We were here yesterday for the Heritage Festival and were impressed with how big this park was, it seemed like it went on and on! The gardens and Lake are beautiful and it was spotless, even for a food festival. It seems like there's spaces for a BBQ and a shelter in case it rains. We'd love to visit again!

This new arena wasn’t even thought of yet when I used to live in Edmonton way way back. Upon revisiting I went to take a look and I was impressed. I never did see the rink itself because it was during the offseason but it was still a treat to walk the interior and outside surrounding area. Well done. 👍😎

Caught an Oilers game at Rogers Place and had a fantastic time. The concourses are bright and clean, staff were friendly, and security moved quickly so we were in our seats before puck drop. Sightlines are excellent from anywhere and the scoreboard and sound make the atmosphere electric. Food and drinks are tasty but on the pricey side, which is the only knock. Transit access and post-game crowd flow were smooth. I will be back.

Very nicely built with great views. Very expensive to enjoy fully. We enjoyed attending an Oilers Rookie Game recently. Entry for this event was inexpensive with general seating available meaning we could tryout alm the various seating options in the arena. We did sample the alcoholic, non-alcoholic and food options. These were good but extremely expensive. As the event we attended was not an at capacity event we did not face significant line ups including for entry, bathroom use or concession stands.

Maligne K — Google review
I've been to 2 concerts here so far and I definitely have a few words. First of all, the seats are SO squishy, barely any leg room. If you need the bathroom during the show be prepared to make your whole row stand up. And everyone is usually sitting down because standing is risky on those steep stands. But on the other hand. The sound is great! Even in the nosebleeds you can clearly hear the artist. This place would definitely be 5 stars if the seats were roomier. It isn't TOO difficult to find parking within walking distance too. There's a train station right outside the venue if that's ur thing.

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is a sprawling 240-acre natural oasis located just outside Edmonton. It boasts an impressive array of plants from around the globe, themed gardens, and serene water features. The highlight is the traditional Japanese-style Kurimoto Garden with its winding pathways, tranquil ponds, and lush greenery. Families can enjoy the children's map with attractions like a castle and hedge maze.
Such an amazing garden in our own back yard! The property is expansive, with acres of garden, ponds, and fountains to enjoy. Our family loved the Japanese garden, with a beautiful bridge over the coy pond. If you enjoy gardens, don't hesitate to come check it out. The price was very reasonable for a family, at around $40.

A peaceful and well-maintained space, perfect for a quiet stroll. It wasn’t crowded when we visited, and the weather was lovely. The garden has charming little ponds and a variety of flowers, though we missed seeing them at full bloom. Would love to come back during peak season!

Wonderful way to spend some time in Nature. Dianne on Reception was helpful with her explanations, hints & tips. Espresso coffee available in the cafe. The Japanese Garden & the Agha Khan garden were highlights. We visited on the last day the summer flowers were in full bloom. The deciduous trees & bushes were in full golden or red glow. Great paths, well-signposted throughout.
Robert C — Google review
I and 4 others of my adult family members came to the gardens today. There is a lot of space for weddings and catered events so that part is nice but the gardens themselves were not as great as I hoped. It was more weedy and wild than I remembered last time I came over 5 years ago. It would be nice if the flowers and plants had more labels in English than in Latin or whatever they are. I found the map to be confusing so not as helpful as I hoped. The cafe and shaded tables and sitting area there is very nice, the paths are mostly nice with brick walkways. I enjoyed the showhouses that are like greenhouses with tropical and desert plants. Nicely done! Lots of wonderful plants to see but I feel better labels would be nice. Also some benches are far off the paths so that was not as convenient for my elderly father in law. I’m sure it’s all so much work so thanks for the scenic walk we had today!

A soul-soothing escape into nature 🌿 The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is pure magic. From the tranquil Japanese Garden to the breathtaking Aga Khan Garden, every corner invites peace, reflection, and awe. If you love calm, beauty, and soulful connection with the outdoors, this place is a must. Perfect for a picnic, a mindful stroll, or simply letting your spirit breathe. Grateful for this serene sanctuary just outside Edmonton. 🌸💚

Great gardens. Well kept, beautiful, and a nice walk. Would visit again. The gardens had many different trails to explore, with lots of flowers. They even had an indigenous garden! The staff was very friendly checking in and the gardeners were doing very hard work in the hot sun. The plants were arranged super nicely and were well maintained-with the only spot having weeds was the vegetable garden. Overall, a must visit place if you are a tourist in Edmonton- or a local!

A beautiful and peaceful place perfect for a quiet stroll. The University of Alberta Botanic Garden offers a great variety of well-maintained outdoor gardens, charming ponds, and colorful flowers. The Kurimoto Japanese Garden is especially serene and picturesque. Not crowded during our visit, and the lovely weather made it even better. Definitely worth visiting, especially in peak bloom season!

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, with a great variety of plants and well-maintained outdoor gardens. The Kurimoto Japanese Garden was definitely a highlight—so serene and picturesque! However, I expected a bit more organization, especially in the indoor areas. The domes were a little disappointing; they felt neglected with dirty seatings and some untidy spots, which took away from the experience. A bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep would make a big difference. Overall, it's a lovely garden with lots to explore, but a few small improvements could elevate it to a 5-star experience. Still worth a visit, especially on a nice day!

I attended the symphony concert in your theatre on Saturday, May 31. It’s a mistake even to came here to this winspear area. While sitting on my place, An audience member made racial remarks towards me saying “You must be doing extremely acceptable to ‘sit with us”?? and giving a racist look”! & when I asked the person what do you mean, he came with the angry look saying don’t bother. Later when I advised the staff of the situation they tried to get me to move my seat rather than address the person who made the remarks. Later again I have to went back to the Person l, so than the staff came and try to act to do something. The guy was just sitting around and happily enjoying while making the racist remark. Staff members who are dealing with the public rather than telling the racist person to leave instead they are telling me to change the seat or leave the show. I have the-full video which I will upload it everywhere. The whole experience is extremely embarrassing and horrible. It’s show the Winspear supports racist behaviour of the people towards people of colours.

Zakir had the entire audience hooked from start to finish with his signature blend of wit, charm, and heartfelt storytelling. His ability to connect with the crowd made the show feel personal, like we were all part of his extended family. The Winspear staff were professional and organized, making entry and exit smooth despite the huge crowd. Overall, a fantastic combination: a world-class comedian in a world-class venue. The Alberta Aviation Museum, situated at the historic site of the former Edmonton City Centre Airport, is a captivating destination for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Housed in a World War II-era hangar, this museum showcases over 40 vintage airplanes and offers an immersive journey into the city's rich aviation heritage. Visitors can explore displays on local flight history, pioneers of aviation, and various aircraft that played pivotal roles in shaping Edmonton's identity as Canada's Gateway to the North.
On Kingsway Avenue there is a Alberta Aviation Museum. Bring your kids to see and learn about the aviation history of AB. Great displays, and for 5$ you can fly in a simulator for 20 minutes. Instructor is there to teach you how to navigate different planes.
Vera Z — Google review
The Aviation Museum is small but very charming. Despite its modest size, it features a surprising variety of aircraft - both military and civilian, historic and more modern. You’ll also find plenty of fascinating artifacts such as instruments, engines, and crew equipment, which really bring the history to life. One of the highlights is the flight simulator - it captivates both kids and adults, and it’s hard to resist “taking off” more than once. There’s also a cozy little gift shop where you can pick up a nice souvenir. It’s truly good to see that a significant part of the collection is dedicated to women in aviation - service members, pilots and flight attendants. Since the museum is compact, you’ll need about 1.5-2 hours to see everything at a comfortable pace. Bonus tip: if you’re a new permanent resident or Canadian citizen, you can get free admission through the Canoo app (just make sure to activate your membership).

We feel so lucky to have booked the Alberta Aviation Museum for our wedding with amazing staff to work with from planning to the actual day. The historical hangar is large enough for holding the ceremony and the reception for our 280 guests with space for an enormous dancefloor, beautiful entranceway with displays, buffet and candy tables, a foosball table, a basketball game, a claw machine, a large bar, and a photobooth while having the band on the stage. The best part is that the hangar is pet-friendly so our fur babies came to celebrate with us. We rented evaporative coolers which worked really well to keep the temperature down on a hot day. Our guests all commented how beautiful, unique and fun our vintage aviation-themed wedding was.

Commonwealth Stadium, home to the Edmonton Eskimos and now known as the Edmonton Elks, is a 60,000-seat venue that hosts Canadian football games along with various other sporting events and concerts. The stadium's vibrant atmosphere and lush green lawn make it an ideal location for world-class events. In addition to football, Commonwealth Stadium also accommodates soccer, rugby matches, and large-scale musical performances throughout the year.
Amazing concert experience! Morgan Wallen, Ella Langley & Brooks and Dunn!🎸🎶🏇🧲

Foods not the greatest. Popcorn was stale tasting and burger was mediocre. Elks are super inconsistent but we go just to be outside praying they win a game...
Stephen — Google review
Absolute nightmare at the Morgan Wallen concert. Not enough security and people getting trampled on. Event staff were too busy filming the concert to make people return to their seats that were standing in front of people who had paid $1000s on their tickets, obstructing their view.

It's not bad everything is right there its an older stadium and its showing her age but for the cfl its not bad

Commonwealth Stadium is a large venue with plenty of seating and a good views of the field.

Worst concert experience ever. Due to commonwealth! Morgan Wallen was amazing. Venue not so much. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent Morgan Wallen concert. I paid over $1,500 per ticket, expecting a premium experience, but what was delivered fell far below even the most basic standards. • No VIP Experience: Despite the high ticket cost, there were no tangible VIP benefits offered. • Concessions Failure: Drinks—including water—were completely sold out before the headliner even took the stage. This is unacceptable and unsafe. Sold out of most alcohol beverages as well. • Crowd Management: The people flow throughout the venue was chaotic, with no clear direction or organization. • Overall Organization: The event was poorly executed from start to finish, making it feel more like an afterthought than a professionally planned concert. Given the substantial amount I spent on these tickets, this experience was beyond frustrating and feels like a complete waste of money. I would like to know how you plan to address these failures for paying customers, as this was absolutely unacceptable. I look forward to your response.

Great experience here for two Metallica concerts. Fairly easy movement inside the stadium, even though it was absolutely packed. Good transit options for parking off-site, which is recommended as there is little on-site parking.
Steve — Google review
Went here for the first time to watch the Metallica concert. It was so awesome ! This is a very huge stadium that seats around 50,000. Even I seat from the top on Z, still I can feel the vibe from there. The entrance and exit are well organized during the concert. No fuss. I wish I had watch the pink concert too.

Rutherford House, once the residence of Alberta's inaugural Premier, Alexander Cameron Rutherford, is a meticulously restored mansion dating back to 1911. The stately home now hosts the renowned Vintage Fork restaurant and is surrounded by historically landscaped gardens and picturesque river valley views. Maintained by the Alberta Culture and Status of Women, this red brick mansion serves as a museum offering guided tours led by costumed guides who share intriguing anecdotes from its past.
A must-visit destination for Alberta's history enthusiasts. Much of the Premier's house has been preserved in its original form, despite the vandalism incident in the 1970s. The tour guide, Colby, deserves high praise for his patient and insightful presentation. He effortlessly engages with diverse groups, including children, students, and adults, showcasing professionalism and adaptability throughout the tour.

I was just driving around soaking in the fall opulence around this beautiful area when I stuck this nice hidden gem tucked in such a lovely Lush green ambiance. Clicked a few pics around, will sure come some other day for lunch which was over by the time I was here. It is served 11:00 to 14:00 Hours only. Will review again!!! Well we were here, 24th September, 2019. The food: the starter, main & desert courses were tasty, yummy & with healthy ingredients, served nicely and with welcoming smile. Server has been so nice! Great place and seating for lunch and to be, once in a blue moon!! Bit pricey!! 3/4 of what they charge will make the party great!! All the same❤️ed to b here with my Boss, my wife😜!

This was the first thing we visited in Edmonton. It was nice to get a historical background of the place ! Both men who worked there were very knowledgeable. The only slight inconvenience for us was that there was an engagement shoot for a couple in the house, so we had to move around them. The library is a very pretty location for pictures, can’t blame them.

The Neon Sign Museum in downtown Edmonton showcases a collection of 20 vintage neon signs that were originally used by local stores, theaters, and railroads. This outdoor installation is free to visit and holds historic significance for the city. The museum is open 24 hours a day and offers a photogenic display, especially at dusk when the neon lights come alive.
Really fun bits of history all throughout here! Great break from the rush of the city, highly recommend going when it’s dark!

Wow! I like neon signs. And who knew that it's an outside installation? You don't need to wait or pay for you ticket; just come here 😉
Aleksei ( — Google review
Despite the name, it’s actually outdoors and free to have a look. Not a huge area but still nice. In summary, lots of outdoor neon signs from the past. A great spectacle to see and very satisfying. Plenty of bars around to grab a drink after. Delightful spot to check out
Ryan S — Google review
The concept of a neon sign museum is indeed a captivating idea, particularly given the vibrant history and visual appeal of neon lights. Neon signs evoke a sense of nostalgia and artistry, making them a perfect medium for storytelling and cultural preservation. However, the potential of a neon sign museum extends beyond just displaying illuminated signs. With a bit of creativity and strategic planning, such a museum can serve as a dynamic platform for marketing Edmonton, its history, and even broader Canadian culture. Enhancing the Neon Sign Museum Experience 1. Historical Narratives: • Local History: Integrate Edmonton’s rich history by displaying neon signs from iconic local businesses and landmarks. Each sign can be accompanied by interactive displays or digital screens that tell the story of the business or site, including photographs, videos, and personal anecdotes. • Canadian Heritage: Extend the narrative to include significant events and figures in Canadian history. For instance, neon signs replicating those from historic Canadian institutions or commemorating milestones like the Confederation, Expo 67, or the 1976 Montreal Olympics could be showcased. 2. Interactive and Immersive Exhibits: • Virtual Reality Tours: Create VR experiences that allow visitors to explore historical streetscapes of Edmonton and other Canadian cities, seeing how neon signs contributed to the urban landscape over the decades. • Hands-On Workshops: Offer workshops where visitors can learn about the craft of neon sign making, including glass bending and gas filling, giving them a deeper appreciation of the art form. 3. Themed Exhibitions: • Seasonal Displays: Curate special exhibitions that change with the seasons or around significant holidays and events. For example, during the winter months, a display focusing on neon signs from historical winter festivals or holiday celebrations could be very engaging. • Cultural Celebrations: Highlight neon signs from diverse communities within Edmonton, showcasing how different cultures have influenced the city’s commercial and social landscape. 4. Collaborations and Partnerships: • Local Artists and Designers: Collaborate with contemporary artists to create new neon art pieces inspired by Edmonton’s culture and history. This can keep the museum’s collection fresh and relevant. • Community Involvement: Engage the local community by inviting them to share their own stories and memorabilia related to neon signs, fostering a sense of ownership and connection to the museum. 5. City Marketing and Tourism: • Guided Tours: Offer guided tours that link the museum to walking or bus tours around the city, highlighting areas where historical neon signs once stood or still stand. • Merchandising: Develop a range of merchandise inspired by the museum’s collection, from replicas of famous signs to books and apparel, to promote the museum and the city. • Interactive Map: Create an interactive online map of neon signs across Edmonton and Canada, allowing tourists and locals to explore and appreciate the historical and cultural significance of these signs. 6. Educational Programs: • School Partnerships: Partner with schools to develop educational programs and field trips that teach students about the history of neon signs, their cultural significance, and the science behind how they work. • Public Lectures and Events: Host public lectures, panel discussions, and other events with historians, artists, and neon sign makers to educate and engage the community.

Super cool piece of history - worth the walk if you're downtown!
Joy G — Google review
Very cool. Best to go at night when you can see them in the dark. It's free and you can just drive or walk around it as it is on the outside of the building. Best to go when there is not an event at the arena so there's less traffic for you to deal with.
Stacey — Google review
Walking past this stretch of historic neon signs feels like time travel. Each sign has a story, and together they create a lively, nostalgic atmosphere downtown. Free, open all the time, and makes for a fun photo walk. It’s one of those little details that adds character to Edmonton.

Beautiful interesting part of Edmonton. Rented a turo with a vehicle I couldn't afford to take pics here. Just so I can flex on people I don't know. I could see how getting a good shot would be difficult. Bonus was a history of the signs that were featured and it's all free

Manchester Square in Edmonton is a charming new development located near the vibrant 124 Street shopping district and Brewery District. The interconnected buildings exude European charm, providing a picturesque backdrop for photos. Visitors can relax by the outdoor fountain or enjoy a cold beer at Arcadia Brewing. The square is home to various businesses, including DasBrezelHaus offering delicious pretzels, Tin Box selling cute items, and Ashford House Pub.
A beautiful street with European-style houses. There are several cafes and shops. But there are also free spaces for renting. Once is enough to visit.

This is a beautiful place to visit, with many great places for photo ops. The downside is half the buildings are empty, and stores and places we loved there last year have closed already. This place could be amazing if they could fill it up with awesome local vendors.

It’s a very nice area to explore, we had lunch at the sandwich shop and it was delicious, then shopped at the tin box!

I've been wanting to visit this area for ages, and finally took a walk there from our outing on 124 st. So many cute stores to visit and paruse, most specifically the Tin box, so many fun things to look at! The vibe of the whole area is super cute! Experience the charm of Edmonton by taking a ride on the High Level Bridge Streetcar. This historic electric trolley offers stunning views of downtown and the river valley as it travels from Old Strathcona to downtown. The volunteer-run streetcar features beautifully restored vintage cars, including a 1912 original from Edmonton. While there are no hop-on-hop-off options, the affordable ticket price makes it well worth the scenic journey.
The best attraction Edmonton has to offer! Began operation in October 6, 1979, has 6 stops, 3.8 km length and price is $8.00 (round-trip). You get a mini tour of the city, enjoy stunning views, ride a historic streetcar, and learn fascinating facts along the way. It’s great for both kids and adults, and the streetcar has several stops, so you can hop off earlier if you like. Plus, Strathcona, where one of the endpoints is located, feels more charming and “human” compared to Downtown.
Cirrus S — Google review
A walk across the river on a bridge in an old carriage is an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is breathtaking. A huge thank you to the workers-actors, you make this place special. The ride itself is short, I recommend a ride in both directions. While driving, beautiful views of the river and the city open up, and it takes your breath away when driving through the tunnel.
Julia D — Google review
Visit: September 2025 Very very cool experience. Everything is volunteer run and operated which is so cool. Lots of rich history and the conductor gave lots of really cool informational tidbits during the ride. We weren't lucky enough to sit in both different streetcars. Definitely would recommend experiencing this!
Daniel T — Google review
Very cool experience, and very affordable for what it is! 8$ for adults for a round trip. We hopped on at the garneau station, which isn't super easy to find, but you kind of wait where the path crosses the tracks on the south side of the high level bridge and flag down a car when they come through. The staff are super accommodating and genuinely seem to love their job, although they are all volunteers which is also pretty cool. They give facts as you ride, but are a little hard to hear near the back because of the noise, so if that interests you sit as close to the front as you can. Best views of the river valley, we really enjoyed it!

A fantastic experience to even just see the streetcar go past. This last visit we did not have the time to take a ride on the streetcar. We recently hosted our wedding on Edmonton Street Car 33. It was such a unique and beautiful experience for us and our family and friends. Even with a train derailment that happened earlier in the day we we're able to continue our charter with a short walk between streetcars on the railway (which made for great photo opportunities). The conductor even let us wear his hat and pretend to drive the streetcar! The staff we're all very friendly and informative about the history of the streetcars. It made for a beautiful wedding ceremony overlooking the river valley with beautiful fall colors.

Edmonton City Hall is a popular spot for ice skating, offering a scenic experience behind the Alberta legislature. Skaters can also enjoy the Victoria Park Oval and various neighborhood rinks. The downtown area around City Hall provides skate rentals at Churchill Square, while other rental options are available at Totem Outdoor Outfitters. The building's distinctive pyramid roof stands out in Edmonton's city center, making it a great place to take a leisurely stroll or attend public events like fireworks displays and food festivals.
I had a pleasant visit to Edmonton City Hall today. The building is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the water fountains are nice to see. I recommend this location for an outdoor lunch, or partake in the variety of activities ie) table tennis, walking through the water fountains, etc

This review is about construction season 2025 alone. The city itself is great, lots to do, beautiful river valley and great citizens. I’m honestly surprised there aren’t more reviews of the City of Edmonton here. Maybe people have trouble finding the listing? Or maybe there’s some kind of arrangement with Google? Who knows. That said, I’m really choked about the construction schedule this year, I’m sure I’m not the only one. Yes, I get it—we need to fix sidewalks, roads, etc. It happens every year, logically perceived short term pain for long term gain. But with the LRT mainline heading west, you’d think they’d be mindful of keeping key traffic corridors between downtown and the west end open. Nope. I’m really wondering who sat around the big city planning table and decided it was a good idea to block every Avenue heading west from the city core. That includes 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, and yes . . . of course 104 Avenue. Sure, some key intersections might need to be fully shut down to allow for below-road infrastructure and other intersectional work. But I can’t help thinking some Jo-boy serving lunch probably glanced at the plan and chuckled—I know I would’ve. Or maybe when the crack city crew laid it all out and stepped back to admire their work . . . they all shared a collective giggle. Too late now they thought. Did Jasper Ave really have to have the pipes done this year? Why not last year or in 2026?? And don’t try avoiding Jasper and 104 by scooching to the Ledge (Legislature) and begin heading toward 100 Ave and onward to LeMarchand (a personal fav shortcut of mine). You’ll have to go 99 Ave now. The whole intersection is conveniently closed at 100 Ave-west of 109 st. But on 99 there is also a pylon summer Olympic course setup :-). Someone received the prized City Planner Gold Star award for these additional creative moves-over and above Jasper and 104. It honestly feels like a parody. The city should’ve hired George Costanza, who could’ve brought in Stephen Koren (yes, that Seinfeld episode—Van Buren Boys!). Pretty sure even they would’ve had some better insight into planning this. I’ll gladly update my rating if the end result is worth the hassle. But for now—poor planning, poor execution. 😢

I have lived in Edmonton most of my life so I remember back in 1990 when this building was being built. It is designed by a famous architect here in Edmonton Gene Dub of Dub architects. Quite controversial at the time. But after it was finished in 1992 it has aged well. It has 2 pyramid parts which evokes the Rocky Mountains. I work downtown and walk by it or through it all the time on my daily lunch hour walks. And have always enjoyed its architecture. It has a great public space. City hall basically functions as a place for City Council meetings with councillor and Mayor offices. Other City service are a block away at the Edmonton City Tower. Lots of City functions and ceremonies take place here. During the winter months the Downtown Farmers Market is in the building on Saturday’s. February 24, 2019 Here for the Swing And Skate on a cold winter Sunday enjoyed the big band music and swing dancing. It was fun although I didn’t dance listening was great. This is a great place for events.
Kirk D — Google review
Edmonton’s so-called “Vision Zero” plan has completely backfired. In the name of safety, the city is pouring millions into squeezing roads narrower and adding bike lanes that barely get used—turning calm residential areas into gridlocked messes. At intersections, a single turning vehicle now backs up traffic because there’s no space to go around. Congestion where there never used to be any. Meanwhile, serious public safety concerns are being ignored. It’s becoming increasingly uncomfortable to use public transit or simply walk downtown, where disorder and aggressive behavior are now the norm. Instead of addressing these visible issues, the city seems focused on expensive cosmetic changes that make things worse for drivers, residents, and small businesses. The priorities feel completely upside down. We need safety, yes—but real safety, not artificial bottlenecks and painted lines.

I thought it was Art Gallery but City hall. I didn’t have an intention to see around but Worth to visit.

In the heart of Edmonton very superior location near the train station and bus station and the popular tourist spot like art gallery of Alberta and Royal Alberta Museum. The building had pyramid roof which is very distinguishable. Has an underground parking lot or can park street side. Good place to have little walk and chill. Little windy when winter because it’s open space. Usually this is the place have some public events like fireworks or Eats of Edmonton food festival. A must visit spot in Edmonton downtown.
Zhaohan X — Google review
There has never been a mayor or councilors worse than our current ones, but Ivison's administration comes in a close second to Sohi's administration. My counselor, Erin Rutherford, seems uninterested in addressing the issues caused by the drug addicts living behind my home. In fact, she has made the situation worse by placing a picnic table directly behind my house, which encouraged the junkies to sit there. When I asked her to move it, she simply refused, stating that I was name-calling the drug addicts in our park. She seems to respect those who choose to use drugs, steal, and create a mess, while showing disrespect toward someone like me, who has worked for nearly 45 years, paid all my bills, and kept my property clean. Because I don’t respect drug addicts, I feel I am not receiving fair treatment.
JsR — Google review
Aside from being where Council and Administration can be found, City Hall hosts a number of events each year and several gallery spaces showcasing a number of exhibitions about the city and current topics of the day. There's also lots of parking at and nearby, along with a number of other things to see and do in the area.
