Park
The Edmonton Valley Zoo is a vital part of the city's dedication to wildlife conservation, housing over 350 animals and actively participating in various global conservation initiatives. The zoo showcases a diverse range of species, including local Canadian wildlife and exotic creatures such as snow leopards, Arctic wolves, lemurs, and red pandas. Visitors can engage in educational programs while enjoying outdoor exhibits during the summer months. It's an ideal destination for families looking to spend quality time learning about animals and supporting conservation efforts.
I had such a wonderful experience at the Edmonton Valley Zoo! There were so many amazing exhibits to explore, from the playful red pandas to the goats on the roof, the beautiful harbour seals, and so many other fascinating animals. One highlight was the zookeeper presentation on snakes and lizards—she was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience fun and educational. The animal displays throughout the zoo were very informative and easy to follow, making it a great place to learn as well as enjoy the sights. The food area was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a quick break, and the staff all around the zoo were friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about their work. They also have a train that goes through the zoo. There was always something new to see and enjoy, and I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic visit, and I would highly recommend the Edmonton Valley Zoo to families, animal lovers, or anyone looking for a fun and memorable day out!

Visited the Edmonton Valley Zoo with family and had a really enjoyable time! The zoo is well-kept, easy to navigate, and offers a good mix of animals, especially considering its smaller size. The highlights for us were the red pandas, seals, and the newly updated sections like the Arctic Shores exhibit. It’s clear they’re making efforts to modernize and improve animal habitats. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we appreciated the educational signage throughout. It's definitely a great place for families with young kids – lots of interactive displays and a mini train ride that's always a hit. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that some areas still feel a bit dated, and the food options were pretty limited during our visit. A few more shaded seating areas would also be nice on hot days. Overall, a great way to spend a few hours in Edmonton. Would definitely go back, especially as more updates are completed!
Paras H — Google review
I visited the zoo yesterday with my granddaughter, and it was such a heartwarming experience. It brought back so many beautiful memories of when I used to take my own children there—hard to believe it’s been 25 years, and now I’m sharing it with my grandkids. The zoo has grown so much since then, and it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s well-kept, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. I especially appreciated how much shade there is along the paths—perfect for little ones (and grandparents!) on a warm day. It was a lovely visit filled with nostalgia and new memories. Can’t wait to come back again with the rest of the grandkids.

Great zoo it had -Great programs -good food -clean -great mission and animal programs - lots of we’ll taken care of animals - enough seating and shade spots -lots of areas for kids to play -good shop -great disability access and programs -staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all a great zoo, the only thing I have to say is pay attention to the weather cause if its really hot not all animals wanna be out. When I went it was hot and didn’t get to see 3 animals I wanted to see but most were out.
Jenna — Google review
Went to the zoo and there was a ton of parking which is nice! We didn't get to see all the animals but we did get to see a decent amount! The park itself wasn't busy which was also nice :) Overall, the price isn't bad at all for the size of zoo that it is :) I would definitely go back again :)
Santana D — Google review
They get the biggest five star I can give. The zookeepers and staff are super kind and approachable, and I got to learn a lot of interesting things while I was there. It feels so open and inviting. I grew up in Calgary and yes it's bigger. But the experience is way different. I honestly don't think Calgary can compare. The prices at the Edmonton valley zoo are amazing. The animals are pretty out going and it's super cool. I wish there was more I could do to help them expand more. I don't have a lot of money I can give but whenever I come to Edmonton I'm gonna make time for an incredible trip to the zoo. Just a few pictures I took while I was there. They're animals have a lot of personality:3
Erin M — Google review
Had a great time at the Edmonton Zoo! The Zoo is very well kept, clean and landscaping was nice. Total walk time to see everything was around 2 hours or so… I would have given them 5 stars if they had more animals.
Ryan M — Google review
Great family friendly environment, they allow you to bring your own food and drinks, they have many concessions as well. Only thing was we went on a hot summer day and alot of the felines were hiding. So best to go in winter a worker said. Otherwise the kids and I had a great time.

Historical landmark
Fort Edmonton Park is a 58-acre living history museum located in the North Saskatchewan River Valley, offering a journey through different eras of Edmonton's history. The park features four sections representing distinct periods: the fur trading era, settlement era, municipal era, and metropolitan era. Visitors can explore replica buildings, interact with costumed performers, enjoy pioneer games and activities like horse-drawn carriages and wagon rides. A fully functional 1919 steam train adds to the immersive experience.
We visit at least twice a year and the kids (and us) love it. It’s beautifully maintained and cared for and all the experiences feel authentic. Highlight of the park is always going on the train with the animals and Fairground close behind. With the kids being so young we stay for around 3 hours but as they grow and become more curious I can see that doubling. I also really appreciate facilities that allow you to bring food in. With the kids it’s important to get what you need when you need it and not just rely on what you can buy.

So my first time checking it out. I decided to pay for the extra fast pass, and it was definitely worth it. I was in every attraction in 5 minutes or less with long line-ups, but not one time was I asked to show my fast pass. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't asked, so who knows how many people are abusing this. As far as the show goes, it's an awesome place to do this at Fort Edmonton Park, but it definitely felt like more of a tame, family-oriented Halloween theme. The actors were very mellow, very quiet. Lots of rubber masks, which I find horrible. The haunts were three out of ten, not very scary, not very original. But the lighting outside was great. The idea is awesome, but the haunts were just not there. The food was expensive. I give the show a 3 out of 10. 🎃🎢🎭👎 #Halloween #Haunts #Park #Actors #Masks #Food

So fun! Actors were amazing…I can not express how awesome they were! They went above and beyond making each scare personalized, bought the fast pass so worth it never waited more than 2 minutes and got to get to each haunt twice and the experience was so different from the last. The first time going to something like this and personally it was just right. Each scare was so different it made it so fun, definitely coming back.

Green onion cakes food truck was amazing. As were the mini donuts. First time there and the experience was unforgettable. Haunted house so good i went through it twice. Highly recommend. Of course the ACTORS. Played their parts extremely well. Good job to all.

A very great place for your to learn about Alberta’s own history and the history about Edmonton and how it become capital city of Alberta. The staff inside there is role play in different era and dress accordingly. They are knowledgeable and explain to us what they represent. It’s divided by era and you can either walk or take steam train which is highly recommended to walk from early era to modern times. Very fantastic place to visit in summer as they closed in winter times. Parking is easy with big parking lot. Recommend to purchase ticket in advance.
Zhaohan X — Google review
Amazing park! I can't believe this is within the city limits! The park is clean and well laid out. The map handout is great to navigate. I recommend taking the train right at the entrance, go to the fort and walk back through the entire park. The indigenous museum was so nice. A sad history that needs to be told! It is so huge! I could have spent an hour or 2 there just reading and looking at everything. The old buildings have great history. Some are the original buildings moved from downtown Edmonton. There are plaques outside each one to tell the history and original locations. I spent four hours there. An awesome experience! Oh, there's a model train exhibit that is so cool!
Binder V — Google review
Really well done and lots to see. Too much to see actually! It’s too much to walk in a day. It took myself, my elderly father in law and my husband 4 hours to see it all. The steam engine train ride was great, but the streets and buildings are too far apart so I’m not sure how they could improve that. The staff were friendly and actors along the way were a nice addition. Nice to go on a day that’s not too hot cause you will do a lot of outside walking. Interesting experience though for all who like history!

Fort Edmonton Park is such a fun and educational place to visit with family! It’s the perfect spot to spend the whole day exploring, learning, and enjoying time together. There are so many activities and experiences for kids, which makes it an exciting trip for them while also being interesting for adults. From history and culture to interactive exhibits and fun rides, there’s something for everyone. A great place to make lasting memories—I highly recommend it!

TELUS World of Science - Edmonton is a top attraction in Northern Alberta, offering interactive science experiences for visitors of all ages. The center features five permanent galleries with hands-on exhibits on topics like robots and the human body, as well as a state-of-the-art IMAX Theatre and a planetarium showcasing captivating shows. Known for hosting major traveling exhibitions such as Harry Potter: The Exhibition and STAR WARS IDENTITIES, this science center also boasts the largest planetarium in Canada.
We visited on a Sunday and the crowd was not bad at all. The IMAX theater was awesome but I recommend sitting near the back because the front was way too close to enjoy the show. Zeidlar Dome is always a hit with the kids. The place is well kept and clean. The staff is always inviting and helpful. We went as a family of 4 so 2 adults and 2 youth costed us $120. I think the cost is worth it for how much there is to do and see there. You could easily spend 4 hours seeing all the exhibits. There is a cute gift shop, classrooms, labs and a small cafeteria to buy food. I recommend bringing your own snacks and eating outside because it's a really nice space in front of the main entrance. I highly recommend this place for a nice afternoon in Edmonton!
Chantell A — Google review
We took our grandkids and we/they had a great time. We also watched the fantastic IMAX movie about “Blue Whales”. I’d recommend that you take your children or grandkids for a visit.
Reg B — Google review
I love science. I love experiments, news and updates on scientific advances, and I raise my daughters in this curious, creative atmosphere. So Telus is a fabulous adventure space for us! every room, every interaction, every show, film, we always feel fulfilled. We always leave happier! we interact with everything, we read, and all of this PLAYING! It's absolutely wonderful. We are members, we always come and enjoy everything they launch!

We had a fun afternoon checking everything out. It has been over 3 years since we were last here, so it was fun to see what changed. The main exhibit was really interesting, and I have to give praise to Kevin at the space station. He kept it fun and interesting as he explained everything so even the 10 year old was interested and actually sat still for several minutes. All in all a great afternoon for a family adventure.
Amber M — Google review
There are lots of cool interactive things to do, but not all working. Many exhibits broken, even on the new displays. A little disappointing, but the ones that worked were cool. Really enjoyed the IMAX.
Caryl L — Google review
Great visit to the Lego exhibit. Lots of cool and complicated Lego dinosaurs. Excellent interactive main gallery as well.
Blair A — Google review
I drove up from Calgary to see the Lego Dinosaur exhibit and was not disappointed, truly a one of a kind experience. Highly recommended, don't miss the chance to see it while it's here. Took my time and didn't rush the exhibit, as a Lego enthusiast and dino admirer this felt like it was made for me. Purple Pear was decent, no complaints and happy to have a place to sit and eat in peace within the Science Center.
Adam P — Google review
A cool place where you can spend the whole time. Especially for children. I liked that you can touch and feel everything. It was especially interesting to observe under a microscope and open the box to smell the herbs. It’s instructive to learn the history of Canada, to understand that magic does not exist and it’s all physics. It was interesting!

Shopping mall
Shopping
West Edmonton Mall, also known as WEM, is one of the largest malls in North America. It features over 800 shops and a wide range of family attractions. Visitors can enjoy activities such as skating, visiting the water park, exploring Galaxyland Amusement Park, experiencing marine life at Sea Life Caverns, playing golf, and more. The mall also houses two hotels: the themed Fantasyland Hotel and the budget-friendly West Edmonton Mall Inn.
I’ve never been to such a massive mall before! With over 800 stores, it’s not just a shopping destination—it’s an entire experience. The mall features an indoor amusement park, an ice skating rink, an arcade, and even a full water park. There’s also a small marine show that adds to the fun. What really stood out to me is how versatile and family-friendly the place is. There are tons of activities for kids, making it a great spot for families. And when it comes to food, the variety is impressive—there’s something for every taste. The mall is so huge that a few hours just wasn’t enough to explore everything, but I really enjoyed the lively atmosphere and friendly people. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area—it’s definitely worth the trip!
Jenny S — Google review
This mall has everything… and somehow nothing at the same time! It’s huge, with a wide variety of stores to explore. There are two food courts plus another large dining area with major restaurant chains. You’ll also find some big-name designer stores for those looking to splurge. For fun, there’s an ice rink, a mini golf course, and so much more to keep the kids entertained. The only downside? There aren’t enough washroom facilities on either level, and they could definitely use more maps to help visitors navigate. If you’re new here, expect to wander a bit before finding what you need. Overall, it’s a beautiful, extremely clean mall—and be prepared, because it’s very busy from Sunday morning straight through to closing time.
Marie C — Google review
Ok, Fantastic Shopping Mall. An absolute gem to have in the city and especially in winter time for local residents to explore, have employment, in away from the cold. Bad news, WEM, this mall, still has absolutely ugly, horrible, unsafe pedestrian and bicycle access. Having made the trek on foot and by bicycle to this mall since it was just Phase 1 to now. Nothing for pedestrian access overall has improved. There is a nice newly refurbished pedestrian bridge between the mall and the hospital spanning the ugliest of highway streets. It's a new pedestrian bridge that still connects to ugly outdated, poor unsafe pedestrian walkways and crossings. And on the mall side it leads to an almost abandoned portion of phase 1 since the Bay closure. The city of Edmonton has an absolute gem of River Valley just a few kilometers away from the Mall. Visitors wouldn't stand a chance to enjoy a walk or bike from the Mall to see it. Which means local residents suffer the same fate. Please make sure to finally work with the city to improve and modernize pedestrian and bicycle access to the Mall from all compass directions. Yes, once largest parking lot in the world accommodates many, still very sad it is an ugly walk from next door to your WEM entrance doors.
Hello H — Google review
West Edmonton Mall is truly an experience, not just a shopping center! It has everything in one place; hundreds of stores, a huge variety of restaurants, and so many fun attractions. I especially loved the indoor waterpark and Galaxyland, perfect for both kids and adults. The atmosphere feels vibrant and welcoming, and the mall is kept clean despite its massive size. It’s easy to spend an entire day here exploring, shopping, eating, and relaxing. Parking was convenient, and staff at the stores and attractions were friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, West Edmonton Mall is definitely worth visiting, there’s always something exciting to do! I had a full day of attraction here, the food court had varieties of food. I was also opportuned to watch a junior hockey league game and a judo competition during my visit.

->Drove 3500 km to knock this visit off the "Bucket list"<- Heard about this place all my life. Always thought "Wow, an amusement park? A waterpark? A hockey rink? Inside a mall?" But that was back in the 80s when malls were - well, everywhere. Now, not so much so. Almost all the malls in my area are gone so visiting a mall (any mall) is a little like visiting "something special" And boy howdy - was this one ever special!! So we spent the most time (and money) in the "coin and stamp" shop, which isn't just coins and stamps. It's also action figures (new and retro), comics, funko pops and much more. A fun shop! We really enjoyed just walking about and seeing all the stuff. Kids on rental "bouncy bike plush ponies", a mini putt course, pirate themed radio control boats, a full waterpark, and even hung around to catch a hockey game. We ate junk food and checked out Galaxyland (largest indoor amusement park: rides for kids; many Hasbro board-game themed). General pass for adults in 2025 is about $65 (pre tax), kids about $55 and you can pay more to add on mini golf and mirror maze and other stuff. Geez, what a place! Definitely worth seeing at least once! Remember where you parked, eh?
Traveling R — Google review
Very cool experience for the first timer. Most every shop imaginable, including all the extras...ice skating, giant wave pool, bowling, theatre, seal exhibit and show, pirate ship adventure, Fantasyland Hotel...the list goes on. Im not much of an shopper, more of an explorer, so its certainly a neat explore.
Greg H — Google review
It's said to be the largest mall in North America and I had to see it. I wasn't able to quite cover the entire mall as the main purpose of my visit was to shop. And boy, every turn has me glued in for more than an hour. Elevators and escalators well positioned, #wheelchair accessibility all and around l. Plus, lots of fun things to do. Like ice skating, ice hockey, indoor pool, fun kid rides and many more

West Edmonton Mall is truly an unforgettable experience! It’s not just a shopping destination but also an adventure. With hundreds of stores, an indoor amusement park, a waterpark, and even an ice rink, there’s something for everyone. Nestled in the heart of Edmonton, the Muttart Conservatory is a captivating botanical attraction featuring four glass pyramids that house diverse plant collections. With over 700 plant species across different biomes, this horticultural gem offers an educational and visually stunning experience. Each pyramid represents a distinct environment, from lush tropical landscapes to arid deserts, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to explore various ecosystems without leaving the city.
What a beautiful place!! It was amazing! I enjoyed all four pyramids. So, clean, peaceful and well put together. I was very relaxed and it was very Zen like to be there. I sat in the Arid room on the comfortable chair at the entrance and felt like I was transported away. They have done a wonderful job. The flowers and grounds outside are beautiful and full of flowers everywhere!

Such a beautiful place!!! There are 4 pyramids with different plants in them! The pyramids themselves aren't huge, however there are a ton of plants in each!! I was a little sad there wasn't any butterflies however it was still worth the trip!! The parking is free, however you do have to register your plate when you go in. There are benches in the pyramids to sit and relax. There is also a cute coffee shop with tons of seating. They also have seating outside which is really nice also!! Would definitely go again :)

Some days we forget that beautiful things don’t need words. Take a moment to enjoy nature. The air is different in there somehow, take a sit and breathe and if possible ‘exhale’. Plan to figure out a way to can the fresh air. Wanted to buy a plant by I remember that plants also need love, hopefully when I come another the next time I am brave enough and love sufficient to buy one. Also, met some classy ladies and gentleman today. They all seemed so full of life and still at the same time, I took notes.

A great place to relax and get inspired! The Botanical Garden impresses with its variety of plants and flowers, well-groomed territory and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for a walk in nature, taking photos or just a pleasant day with the family. There is also a wonderful cafe, where you can buy flowers and souvenirs. There is free parking for visitors, which can be reserved for a maximum of 6 hours.

We had so much fun at the Muttart Conservatory! It was the perfect family outing—beautiful, educational, and full of wonder. My daughter loved exploring all the domes, especially the tropical one. She was thrilled with the coloring activity and absolutely adored meeting the mermaid—such a special touch! Meanwhile, my little one was mesmerized by the colorful fish swimming around and couldn’t stop pointing at all the vibrant plants and flowers. The on-site café was fantastic too—great food, friendly staff, and delicious flavors. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, enchanting experience. Five stars! 🌿✨

A must visit conservatory museum, and I was thoroughly impressed! The ample parking space made it easy to park, and the building's exterior already hinted at the beauty within. Upon entering, I was struck by the neat and well-maintained interiors. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pyramid biomes were fascinating, showcasing a stunning array of plants from around the world. The café was a highlight, offering delicious refreshments and a cozy atmosphere. But what truly stole the show was the beautifully planted floor garden at the entrance to the museum.A small souvenir shop is also present that has good collectables. I highly recommend this plant conservatory museum to anyone who loves nature, botany, or just needs a peaceful retreat.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Fleur de Villes display. Absolutely stunning displays. It was a curated event displaying 15 florists from Edmonton. Such wonderful talented individuals we have. We enjoyed wandering through all the pyramids and want to go it more often. In December there is usually a Christmas poinsettia display in the show pavilion.

Absolutely love the Muttart! Went for brunch today (so yum!) and checked out the new feature pyramid: Under the Sea! Best exhibit I have ever seen at the muttart! Breathtakingly stunning displays of flowers and plants! 10/10 check it out! Perfect photo set up for families too!

The Royal Alberta Museum, located in downtown Edmonton's Arts District, is the largest museum in Western Canada. With over 82,000 square feet of exhibition space, it houses a diverse collection of artifacts that offer insight into Alberta's geological and human history. Visitors can explore exhibits on First Peoples, fossils, wildlife, and the province's landscape from petroglyphs to prehistoric dinosaurs. The museum also delves into the survival of First Nations in harsh lands and how Alberta has evolved since then.
Infamous museums. How can one be more interesting than other? It was Orcas on display. Heartbreaking to see how humans treat animals for profit. Amazing Haida display, movie and tons of informative content on these beautiful creatures. The rest of the museum has year round exhibits. Great way to learn about the history of our country. I wish that museum had longer hours on weekends because it’s not enough time to see everything. Gift shop was well equipped, as well as the coffee shop. It was really busy considering that Taste of Edmonton was happening just a few blocks away.

Visit: April 2025 Great museum with a couple of different exhibits. Went to the bug exhibit and the rock/gem and animal exhibit, and a bit of the humanity exhibit Everything was really clean and pristine and there was a lot to see and explore. It was also really quiet when we went (Thursday evening). I also found it really cute that they made pizza and hamburger shaped foods for the insects to eat It was sad that some of the displays were broken or things were missing, and I wish there were some more exhibits, but overall it was a nice adventure.

Had a great day exploring the RAM. Went for the Orca exhibit and ended up staying for the whole day. Kids really enjoyed it and found it very interesting. They said the insects were their favorite. I think you'll be able to tell what mine was from the pictures. We spent a decent amount of time in each hall or gallery and still didn't read / experience all there was. We went on a Saturday and I was a little worried it would be overcrowded but there was lots of room in each area. We did not feel crowded or rushed at all. We will definitely be going back to explore more.

Wonderful must visit place if you’re in Edmonton. Lots of things to learn and experience. Cleanliness is amazing. It’s a heaven for the kids to spend time there. I liked the souvenir/gift shop. Recommend to everyone and it’s worth the money.

A nice museum in Edmonton! It's my first time here and the staff at the counter was nice and gave the information to me with a friendly vibe. The ticket is $21 per person (after GST) If you buy a family or annual ticket will be cheaper, for more than 2 people or 2 times of visit. There are historical sections, animal sections, insect sections, gem zones, kids zones, and temporary zones that change every year. 2-3 hours should be enough if you're not reading for every detail on board. They close every Monday, except on public holidays. Nice and recommend 👌

Visited the Royal Alberta Museum a few days ago with my husband and some friends, and I absolutely loved the experience! From the moment we walked in, the environment felt so calm and inviting. The entire space has a serene atmosphere that really lets you take in the beauty and history around you. The artifacts were fascinating—each one telling a story, from ancient history to Alberta’s cultural heritage. I was truly impressed by the attention to detail in every exhibit. We didn’t get to explore everything (it’s huge!), but that just gives me the perfect excuse to go back again soon! If you’re in Edmonton and haven’t been yet, it’s definitely worth the visit. A perfect blend of education, culture, and peace.

World Waterpark, situated within the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada, is a renowned indoor water park offering an array of thrilling attractions. It boasts the world's largest indoor wave pool and 17 exhilarating waterslides that promise an unforgettable experience for visitors. Additionally, the mall houses Galaxyland Powered by Hasbro, featuring over 25 exciting rides and play areas suitable for all ages.
I finally got my family to come meet me in Edmonton after a work rotation. We went to the water park for the afternoon and took it all in. I love that there were adult drinks at the bar, and the rides were great for the little ones. They had a blast on all the slides, the wave pool, and the Caribbean play area. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to kill a day in the mall.
Jason L — Google review
After visiting many indoor water parks, West Edmonton Mall’s is definitely my favourite so far. The many water slides and areas to explore tops. Some slides can be pretty hectic here and there specifically ones in which you are dropped straight down. But in general most of the slides here were pretty good. Lines weren’t as bad as thought they would be for a Friday and never did I wait more that 20 minute, this can obviously vary/depend on which slide you’re waiting for. If you’re looking for something not too crazy and fast I would recommend the blue bullet (That may not be the name as I don’t remember it) but It’s essentially a blue slide somewhere in the middle of all the slides and it has two parts to it. Like any other attraction at WEM the price is pretty pricey being the same as Galaxyland but that could’ve change on your age. The wave pool along with all the other activities are also very fun to check out. I’ll typically visit every few years and it’s never a disappointment.
Ted R — Google review
We had a fun experience, however some things I did not love. First off having to purchase a single tube to do the rides, like come on. Yes I know a double tube is free but always long wait and I would have to go every time with my son, so we eventually bought a single. Also the weighing us before certain slides, I’m barely 120 pounds and my son is 60lbs and they weighed us to make sure we are not over 250lbs each… like really… anyone with eyeballs would know we are not over 250lbs. Trying to avoid fat shaming I supposed but really strange concept. Did like how they had dip in dots and served alcohol in the park! The no and out is annoying too. I bought a day pass, I should get to use it all day when I want. My son had fun though so I guess that’s all that matters!

My children loved and enjoyed their entire time. There was a problem with lockers need to be fixed , it took us half an hour to get our bracelets and put our belongings away and need to renovate the changing room area looks so old and the floors were slippery my younger daughter falls so many times.

Our visit to the water park was an absolute blast! With a bar serving adult drinks and plenty of exciting rides, there was something for everyone. The kids had a fantastic time on the slides, in the wave pool, and at the Caribbean play area. If you're looking for a great way to spend the day, I highly recommend this water park.

Paige absolutely made our day. It was a Saturday long weekend and that girl worked!! She rescued a rogue tube from a slide, kept her guests in line entertained, AND remembered us when we passed by her and asked how our day was going. Also have to mention her heartwarming smile. There were so many great slide attendants today, but she’s the one who stuck out. I only visit once every several years but today I had the best time and will definitely be back much sooner
Jordan M — Google review
Very big and spacious. Has lots of slides both for kids and adults. Giving this 4 stars because tickets are expensive and lockers are $15 for medium sized which is very shocking. You can also rent tubes which is even more weird.
Parsa N — Google review
$18 Locker rental, great waves and limited slides. Truly a spectacle and a major attraction in Edmonton, yet at close to $200 for an afternoon experience for two of us, one needs to budget “splashing cash” for this experience. Many slides were not open (excepting the double black slides that are pretty amazing for the brave) instead we were limited to using tube rides, that required another fee to rent a tube or wait for the shared units. The wave tank is a hoot, if crowded, with actual large whitecaps that tossed us around in close proximity to other patrons: fun all the same. I have been a patron for over 30 years, now as a parent it is tough to say ‘no’ to this treat for my teens, yet even they are a little shocked at the costs of the amenities, asking “will they charge for showers?” I do hope this can remain a thrilling part of people’s lives while not restricted to those with the means. I do not recommend pre-purchase unless you have a discount, this will allow you to inquire on the status of slides and attractions.

Galaxyland Powered by Hasbro, previously known as Fantasyland, is a thrilling indoor amusement park located within the West Edmonton Mall. It offers an array of over 25 rides and play areas suitable for all ages. The highlight is the Mindbender, recognized as the world's tallest and longest indoor roller coaster. Visitors can also experience the excitement of DRIVE, a two-story go-kart track for those seeking high-speed thrills.
As a family that’s big on gaming and competition, visiting Galaxyland powered by Hasbro was an absolute treat for us. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how immersive and interactive the entire park is. The space is bright, fun, and full of activities that cater to every age, making it perfect for families like ours who thrive on friendly competition. My son was especially thrilled — he could have spent the entire day exploring all the rides and attractions. The blend of classic amusement park fun with Hasbro’s game-inspired themes was a hit. We loved how the games and rides encouraged teamwork as well as some healthy rivalry, which made our family outing even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to guide us through the rides or explain the gaming challenges, which made everything run smoothly. Safety measures were clearly a priority, giving us peace of mind while letting the kids (and adults!) enjoy themselves fully. Overall, Galaxyland is more than just an amusement park — it’s a dynamic, playful environment where families can bond over games, rides, and fun competitions. My son had an absolute blast, and we all left with big smiles and plans to return. A must-visit spot for families who love gaming, excitement, and making memories together.

Galaxyland has some fun and unique rides! The rides at Galaxyland are fun and unique. Barrel of Monkeys was okay, but it was too long. Galaxy orbiter was a blast (Rode it twice). Trouble twist was so fun. Quirks in the works had something unexpected (SPOILER: It spins). Space Shot was intense (Though you can find taller installations around the world. Including 3 that used to exist at Marineland in Niagara Falls). Cootie coaster was okay, but it was too rattly (I do prefer Yeti Trek at Santa's Village). I also went on Rainbow bounce and almost HAVOC (For the latter, it broke down). Good news, I've got coaster credits #47 and #48! And also my first credits that I had to get to by airplane! Also, can't wait to come back for the new attraction!

We visited Galaxyland at West Edmonton Mall for a company special event, and it was a great experience! We didn’t have to wait long to get on the rides, which was awesome. The best rides for us were Havoc and Galaxy Orbiter — definitely thrilling! Haha. The only downside was that a few rides were closed for renovation (or maybe other reasons), which was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, it was a fun and memorable visit.

GALAXYLAND West Edmonton Mall. Lots of rides the whole fam Jam will find fun! Great for a day away from the regular grind. Plan to spend $45 per person to get in as the value compared to buying single tickets is significant! We attended during the weekday and we're glad we did as lineups were almost non-existent and running up to a ride and jumping on and having fun was almost instant! However I did notice signs that were turned around that said much like disneyland, from this sign there is a 1 hour wait plan accordingly! So it is clear that this place can get very very busy! We have been here dozens of times and are back again, great when family from out of town comes to visit. Guaranteed to put a smile on their face, add a dent in their wallet, LOL This place has been here for many years and is starting to show its age. 90% of the rides were open and operational and people were taking shifts on and off according to popularity.

I would say it’s pricey but it’s definitely worth it, as most places the lines can get up to around an hour or more wait but with fantasyland/galaxyland I can guarantee you it won’t be that busy. I say that because the longest line I saw was up to an hour meanwhile it was a long weekend so you can definitely see the lines won’t be that long especially for a long weekend like I just mentioned. The overall amount of rides for children and adults was pretty fair, most children rides were under Hasbro related names. Personally I enjoyed majority of the rides I went on, my favourite being the space shot which launches you at least 100ft into the air where you then drop down at a pretty fast speed. Galaxy land also offers many food vendors along with a food court next door. I spent a solid 7 hours here before eventually leaving at closing time (6pm). Although the mindbender sadly has been demolished, Galaxy land still feels like a perfect theme park to visit with many rides to try and enjoy. -I visited on a Saturday.

The Art Gallery of Alberta, established in 1924, is housed in a modern building constructed from zinc, glass, and steel. Designed by renowned architect Randall Stout, the gallery offers various event spaces for special occasions such as weddings. These include the Ernest C. Manning Hall & Atrium, Borealis Room on the fourth floor creating a floating illusion, Outdoor Sculpture Terrace showcasing permanent sculptures and Ledcor Theatre for ceremonies.
The Art Gallery of Alberta is a fantastic destination that offers a unique and enriching experience. We had the opportunity to visit during the Victims of the Holocaust exhibition, which was deeply moving, as well as the Build Black Civilizations exhibit, showcasing incredible structures created with black Lego bricks. Both exhibitions were thought-provoking and beautifully presented. The gallery spans multiple floors, with the third floor housing additional captivating displays. The main floor features a charming shop with unique finds, perfect for art enthusiasts. Tickets are reasonably priced, making it an accessible and worthwhile outing. The gallery itself is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by great amenities, including a variety of restaurants, bars, and a lovely park nearby. It’s a wonderful spot to spend your time, whether you’re exploring the exhibits, enjoying the area, or simply soaking up the creative atmosphere. Highly recommended!

So lucky to be living in Edmonton and having access to this gallery. The fact that the last Thursday of every month is free is an added bonus. There is construction in the area but finding parking nearby has never really been an issue.

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a great place to visit, especially if you’re a student—admission is free, so it’s worth taking advantage of that. The space itself is well-designed, and the exhibitions are always interesting, with a good mix of contemporary and historical art. I try to go twice a year, and there’s always something new to see. Even if you’re not deeply into art, it’s a nice place to explore and take in different styles and perspectives. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, making it a good spot to step away from the usual routine. I don’t have many clear photos from my visits, but the experience is definitely worth it. If you’re in Edmonton, it’s a solid option for an afternoon out, and the free student admission makes it even better.

It is a great Modern Art gallery and it has definitely an impressive architectural design of the building. The variety of the pieces and themes is interesting and intriguing. The total amount of exposition halls inside was a bit smaller than expected and the total visit including buying the tickets and the lovely gift shop with local crafts took about two hours. Definitely a good visit if you love to combine a few activities in one day, but for me it was a bit too short.

It’s modern, elegant, and incredibly well thought out. You can tell a lot of effort and creativity went into designing the space—it honestly feels like they outdid themselves. Every corner was picture-perfect and added to the overall vibe of the visit. If you’re ever in Edmonton, I highly recommend stopping by. Whether you’re into history, culture, or just looking for a unique day out, RAM delivers on all fronts. We had such a good time and left feeling inspired and impressed!

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is a sprawling 240-acre natural oasis located just outside Edmonton. It boasts an impressive array of plants from around the globe, themed gardens, and serene water features. The highlight is the traditional Japanese-style Kurimoto Garden with its winding pathways, tranquil ponds, and lush greenery. Families can enjoy the children's map with attractions like a castle and hedge maze.
Such an amazing garden in our own back yard! The property is expansive, with acres of garden, ponds, and fountains to enjoy. Our family loved the Japanese garden, with a beautiful bridge over the coy pond. If you enjoy gardens, don't hesitate to come check it out. The price was very reasonable for a family, at around $40.

A peaceful and well-maintained space, perfect for a quiet stroll. It wasn’t crowded when we visited, and the weather was lovely. The garden has charming little ponds and a variety of flowers, though we missed seeing them at full bloom. Would love to come back during peak season!

Wonderful way to spend some time in Nature. Dianne on Reception was helpful with her explanations, hints & tips. Espresso coffee available in the cafe. The Japanese Garden & the Agha Khan garden were highlights. We visited on the last day the summer flowers were in full bloom. The deciduous trees & bushes were in full golden or red glow. Great paths, well-signposted throughout.

I and 4 others of my adult family members came to the gardens today. There is a lot of space for weddings and catered events so that part is nice but the gardens themselves were not as great as I hoped. It was more weedy and wild than I remembered last time I came over 5 years ago. It would be nice if the flowers and plants had more labels in English than in Latin or whatever they are. I found the map to be confusing so not as helpful as I hoped. The cafe and shaded tables and sitting area there is very nice, the paths are mostly nice with brick walkways. I enjoyed the showhouses that are like greenhouses with tropical and desert plants. Nicely done! Lots of wonderful plants to see but I feel better labels would be nice. Also some benches are far off the paths so that was not as convenient for my elderly father in law. I’m sure it’s all so much work so thanks for the scenic walk we had today!

Great gardens. Well kept, beautiful, and a nice walk. Would visit again. The gardens had many different trails to explore, with lots of flowers. They even had an indigenous garden! The staff was very friendly checking in and the gardeners were doing very hard work in the hot sun. The plants were arranged super nicely and were well maintained-with the only spot having weeds was the vegetable garden. Overall, a must visit place if you are a tourist in Edmonton- or a local!

The Kurimoto Japanese Garden is especially serene and picturesque. Not crowded during our visit, and the lovely weather made it even better. Definitely worth visiting, especially in peak bloom season!

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, with a great variety of plants and well-maintained outdoor gardens. The Kurimoto Japanese Garden was definitely a highlight—so serene and picturesque! However, I expected a bit more organization, especially in the indoor areas. The domes were a little disappointing; they felt neglected with dirty seatings and some untidy spots, which took away from the experience. A bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep would make a big difference. Overall, it's a lovely garden with lots to explore, but a few small improvements could elevate it to a 5-star experience. Still worth a visit, especially on a nice day!

The Alberta Aviation Museum, situated at the historic site of the former Edmonton City Centre Airport, is a captivating destination for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Housed in a World War II-era hangar, this museum showcases over 40 vintage airplanes and offers an immersive journey into the city's rich aviation heritage. Visitors can explore displays on local flight history, pioneers of aviation, and various aircraft that played pivotal roles in shaping Edmonton's identity as Canada's Gateway to the North.
On Kingsway Avenue there is a Alberta Aviation Museum. Bring your kids to see and learn about the aviation history of AB. Great displays, and for 5$ you can fly in a simulator for 20 minutes. Instructor is there to teach you how to navigate different planes.
Vera Z — Google review
The Aviation Museum is small but very charming. Despite its modest size, it features a surprising variety of aircraft - both military and civilian, historic and more modern. You’ll also find plenty of fascinating artifacts such as instruments, engines, and crew equipment, which really bring the history to life. One of the highlights is the flight simulator - it captivates both kids and adults, and it’s hard to resist “taking off” more than once. There’s also a cozy little gift shop where you can pick up a nice souvenir. It’s truly good to see that a significant part of the collection is dedicated to women in aviation - service members, pilots and flight attendants. Since the museum is compact, you’ll need about 1.5-2 hours to see everything at a comfortable pace. Bonus tip: if you’re a new permanent resident or Canadian citizen, you can get free admission through the Canoo app (just make sure to activate your membership).

We feel so lucky to have booked the Alberta Aviation Museum for our wedding with amazing staff to work with from planning to the actual day. The historical hangar is large enough for holding the ceremony and the reception for our 280 guests with space for an enormous dancefloor, beautiful entranceway with displays, buffet and candy tables, a foosball table, a basketball game, a claw machine, a large bar, and a photobooth while having the band on the stage. The best part is that the hangar is pet-friendly so our fur babies came to celebrate with us. We rented evaporative coolers which worked really well to keep the temperature down on a hot day. Clean, quaint, and happy teaching place for early aviation and Canadian aviation! The gift shop doesn't even break the bank! By far my favourite aircraft they had on display was the De Havilland Mosquito, always a gorgeous aircraft.

Through educational programming and special events, visitors are encouraged to engage with the natural world. The center serves as a gateway to Edmonton's River Valley and provides opportunities for all ages to learn about the significance of the city's natural spaces. Additionally, on-leash dogs are welcome on the walking trails.
I've been looking forward to surprising my kids with a visit here but by the time I was able to afford the trip this "temporarily closed" status showed up. The guy I spoke to this morning was super nice and very helpful in letting me know they were flooded mid April and will most likely be open again by the end of May. Thanks a bunch to him, very sorry to hear of their misfortune as I've been told great things about it and the programs available. So looking forward to bringing my kids when it's up and running again!

I recently booked a birthday party for my 5 year old with the “Fairy tale & Folk lore” theme. We had an absolute blast! The staff were very seamless to communicate with, the space was spacious, clean & set up with different activities to keep the kids entertained. We had a generous amount of time between being outside & inside, and the play areas were fun for all. I highly recommend booking John Janzen for a birthday party. :)

Visited here with a friend and her toddler recently. He had a blast in the nature playroom which is a unique take on an indoor playground. He could have stayed all day and not been bored! The little gift shop is cute, and the staff are knowledgeable. There’s also a gallery as well as a rooftop garden! Plus it’s close to Fort Edmonton and the river. Makes for a nice day, summer or winter.

The John Janzen Nature Centre in Edmonton is an outstanding choice for a birthday bash! With interactive exhibits and trails, it's a venue that brings the joy of the great outdoors into a party setting. The kids had a blast exploring and learning, making the birthday celebration both fun-filled and educational. Highly recommend for a unique and memorable event!

Nice little nature centre next to the Fort Edmonton Park. A lot of things for kids to see and learn. They also have live bees that kids can see and read about their story. There is a playground area with the nature theme built in for kids to play. A great place for a play date or birthday parties. They have multi-function rooms for rent as birthday party spaces. Lovely experience. Would recommend!

My wife booked here for a 6 year old birthday party. They gave us a huge room to hold it. They had people do activities with the kids including a fairy hunt and crafts. The air was really smokey outside otherwise they would have done a nature walk/scavenger hunt. Finally, the play area was a big hit for the kids; It's medium size, but the entire place was private as they did it after hours. Only our guests were allowed in. It was a great experience and we are thankful for the staff.

We've been here a handful of times and recently purchased an annual membership for my 18 month old. He loves the play area and the green rooftop! The surrounding trails are child friendly and a great way to explore the outdoors.

Hawrelak Park, spanning 68 hectares, is a beloved destination in Edmonton. The park features a 5-hectare lake with charming islands and spacious grassy areas, making it perfect for various activities. Visitors can enjoy covered picnic sites, nature trails for hiking and biking, and an amphitheater for events. Throughout the year, the park hosts major festivals such as the Edmonton Heritage Festival and the Ice Castles.
Huge park that hosts tons of different festivals. We enjoyed Heritage Days this past weekend and had a fantastic time. The weather was great and the different "countries" we visited were great! Music, food, beautiful costumes abounded. Looking forward to our next festival!

I love hawrelak park. Beauty in the middle of the city. Paddle boots available to rent. Picnic sites can be reserved although some sites have trash after weekend parties. Generally very clean though. Fountain in the middle of man made lake is cool. Lot of shade from trees for any hot day.

I loved the sculptures made in the park, there’s always something new in here, every season has its own colour. Ice skating for kids and adults, jogging and biking and walking can do many things in winters Spring is here and park is so very busy on weekends, all benches and all the bbq were occupied, Parking lots we’re almost full.

Lots of geese , a few sea gulls and some different types of ducks.A very scenic and beautiful place.Lots of greenery . A good amount of bench and a few big rocks to take amazing photos on. If you go in the right season you will see a-lot of baby ducks and geese. Lots of biking and skating space. Lots of beautiful trails sometimes they get crowded. We think its one of the best parks in Edmonton.

1.2-mile loop trail inside Edmonton, Alberta. Generally considered one of beautiful parks routes, it takes an average of 30 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day

Great recreational area right in the heart of the city. Wish you could swim in the lake in the summer but skating on the lake makes up for it in the winter. It hosts varies events during the year. It's a prime piece of land. If the city would add a beach area, it would make the property more desirable. it's still a great place to get away and have a bbq with friends without having to leave the city to get that camping vibe.

This iconic park named after a past mayor of our city , here you can enjoy all 4 seasons ,my favorite is fall , biking , hiking trails are spectacular, grounds well maintained spectacular views of the river and downtown, home to so many special events, just wish the city would invest in bird proof garbage cans !! Fantastic family park !!

Beautiful park, surprisingly bigger than it looks! We were here yesterday for the Heritage Festival and were impressed with how big this park was, it seemed like it went on and on! The gardens and Lake are beautiful and it was spotless, even for a food festival. It seems like there's spaces for a BBQ and a shelter in case it rains. We'd love to visit again!

Experience the charm of Edmonton by taking a ride on the High Level Bridge Streetcar. This historic electric trolley offers stunning views of downtown and the river valley as it travels from Old Strathcona to downtown. The volunteer-run streetcar features beautifully restored vintage cars, including a 1912 original from Edmonton. While there are no hop-on-hop-off options, the affordable ticket price makes it well worth the scenic journey.
The best attraction Edmonton has to offer! Began operation in October 6, 1979, has 6 stops, 3.8 km length and price is $8.00 (round-trip). You get a mini tour of the city, enjoy stunning views, ride a historic streetcar, and learn fascinating facts along the way. It’s great for both kids and adults, and the streetcar has several stops, so you can hop off earlier if you like. Plus, Strathcona, where one of the endpoints is located, feels more charming and “human” compared to Downtown.
Cirrus S — Google review
A walk across the river on a bridge in an old carriage is an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is breathtaking. A huge thank you to the workers-actors, you make this place special. The ride itself is short, I recommend a ride in both directions. While driving, beautiful views of the river and the city open up, and it takes your breath away when driving through the tunnel.
Julia D — Google review
Visit: September 2025 Very very cool experience. Everything is volunteer run and operated which is so cool. Lots of rich history and the conductor gave lots of really cool informational tidbits during the ride. We weren't lucky enough to sit in both different streetcars. Definitely would recommend experiencing this!
Daniel T — Google review
Very cool experience, and very affordable for what it is! 8$ for adults for a round trip. We hopped on at the garneau station, which isn't super easy to find, but you kind of wait where the path crosses the tracks on the south side of the high level bridge and flag down a car when they come through. The staff are super accommodating and genuinely seem to love their job, although they are all volunteers which is also pretty cool. They give facts as you ride, but are a little hard to hear near the back because of the noise, so if that interests you sit as close to the front as you can. Best views of the river valley, we really enjoyed it!

A fantastic experience to even just see the streetcar go past. This last visit we did not have the time to take a ride on the streetcar. We recently hosted our wedding on Edmonton Street Car 33. It was such a unique and beautiful experience for us and our family and friends. Even with a train derailment that happened earlier in the day we we're able to continue our charter with a short walk between streetcars on the railway (which made for great photo opportunities). The conductor even let us wear his hat and pretend to drive the streetcar! The staff we're all very friendly and informative about the history of the streetcars. It made for a beautiful wedding ceremony overlooking the river valley with beautiful fall colors.

Visitors can enjoy free rides on the 100 Street Funicular and explore its 20 major parks and numerous attractions.
Got an amazing sight of Edmonton across the river. The bridge was full of masterpiece arts and is such a wonderful experience to stroll through.

Why are there like 6 golf courses in the river valley? You're wasting hundreds of acres of river valley for a few people to play a game. Parks like Emily Murphy are the size of a postage stamp. If Edmonton is anticipating a population of 1.2 million people then it's time to fold up Highlands, Riverside, Victoria, Mayfair, Rundle, etc. It's not fair that a person can't use this part of the river valley without a golf club.

A weekend-only market! Open Saturdays from 8am to 3pm, and Sundays from 11am to 3pm. You’ll find stalls selling fresh veggies, craft beer, wine & whisky, baked goods, Thai food and loads more. The area’s also full of cute cafés and restaurants, perfect for grabbing a bite or going on a chill date after having a wander.

Not sure this market needs another glowing review, but it deserves one! It fights above its square footage in packing an authentic and varied punch, with a couple of choices within each market genre and a few gems you won’t find anywhere else. Well done.
Ryan L — Google review
I’ve lived in the city a long time but don’t recall ever fully walking through the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market until today. I’ve been to other markets and this one feels as familiar, though it has a deeper tradition here in Edmonton. The place was clearly in a Sunday morning vibe-some live musicians added to the atmosphere. I picked up a few vegetables and had a solid meal at Paperbirch by Chartrand. The vendor was moderately busy, and the food coming out looked great. I had the carbonara—and although it was a little creamier than carbonara should be, it came out piping hot and quite tasty. As for the market overall, nothing groundbreaking compared to others I’ve seen, but it’s a fun way to spend a Sunday morning. This was their first Sunday opening of the spring/summer season—not sure if they’ve done that before, but they definitely should keep it going.
Bruce M — Google review
It's until 3pm on Sunday, but I arrived around 2:30~ Still, there was a lot to see~ They were selling food, drinks, fruits, vegetables, cheese, meat, and even handmade soaps and accessories. Edmonton's downtown streets were exotic. For me ~
김윤희 — Google review
Specifically I want to shout out to the tuck shop that is here now called Paper Birch. I hesitated to buy the breakfast wrap because of the price but...isn't everything pricey nowadays? The counter staff are super helpful and friendly and there's a wonderful vibe here. Oh and the breakfast wrap worth every penny! The market generally: I love being able to sit up top amid the throng of farmers and makers and market goers and do some work, read a book, eat some food, but I do miss the olden days of the buskers, who seem to have been replaced by a more polished and plugged in musical showcase.
Pamela J — Google review
I could spend entire afternoons wandering the aisles here. It’s part nostalgia, part design treasure hunt. From mid-century lamps to vintage mirrors, this place has a little bit of everything. The staff are knowledgeable, the booths are beautifully organized, and it’s impossible to leave empty-handed. Perfect for anyone who believes character matters as much as style.
Tessa D — Google review
Finally made the drive from Wainwright. My first time visiting OSFM was at 11am on Saturday, quite busy but still a lot of room to browse. The vendors are incredibly knowledgeable about their products and their passion is evident. Despite the customer traffic, all the interactions with vendors were genuine and not at all rushed. Great quality products that aren’t overpriced at all for what you receive. Lots of samples and seating areas. A few of the wonderful booths/products I purchased from were soy candles, uncle Brian’s sausages, a sourdough chocolate croissant, and locally smoked peppercorns. I can’t wait to go back!

The Alberta Railway Museum, located at 24215 34 Street in Edmonton AB, is an outdoor museum showcasing a collection of old locomotives, including passenger and freight trains. It is open on summer weekends from Victoria Day Weekend to the September Long Weekend, offering visitors the chance to see vintage train rides and explore railway equipment and locomotives. The museum also offers affordable admission fees for adults, students, seniors, and children. Additionally, train rides are available for a separate fee when operational.
Great museum. Quite far from the city, but it is worth to visiting it. There are different types of trains, old and news ones. You can go through cars that have different use. Very interesting to see how trains looked like before when they were an important part of life of Canadians. You can also ride a Speeder for 3 dollars. Additionally, thanks to a person who grows wild strawberries at the station. One of my favourite berries. Delicious!
Роман Б — Google review
I'm not really into trains and what have you but I took my father in June of 2025 and I think I can say without hyperbole that it was a top 5 experience of his life. He was SO HAPPY. There is lots of old memorabilia stuff as well as many trains that you can walk through and experience an era largely bygone. Of note, the staff (despite being relatively young) were all clearly knowledgeable about everything related to the museum and seemed genuinely passionate about it. Great job on not only hiring young people but also finding those who are eager to share the history of Canadian rail.
J B — Google review
Wow! Absolutely wonderful! Let's face it, this museum is operated mostly by volunteers... and so it is not the typical fancy museum. However, it is just wonderful as a "volunteer rin museum". Great job y'all! Price is reasonable at $17 ($12 for seniors) + $7 for a train ride.
Reuben F — Google review
Interesting to see the various engines and momentos saved from that bygone time. Would loved to have experienced a train ride as advertised, but that particular Sunday only the Speeder Car was available. Still kids enjoyed it and the extra details to enhance visits by kids from the photo op booth outside the station to the take away childrens activity booklet. A nice way to spend a morning or afternoon.

An utterly excellent experience! We came here because my toddler son is fascinated with trains, and it did not disappoint. The exhibits are lovingly crafted, and the gift store items are spot on. Highly recommend coming here, for a piece of Alberta history and - of course - the trains!!!

I really enjoyed seeing the history of this place and all the knowledge it holds. Highly recommend proper footwear as you will be climbing in and out of trains and going between carts would not be enjoyable for anyone with heels or flip flops. This is a great way to see the River Valley! It’s about a 10 minute walk from Central Station. You get beautiful views all the way down as it goes from downtown to the promenade. My daughter loved it, adding fun to our trip. The funicular is very accessible and even fit my big wagon. The ride is quick, only about 1 minute, and the area also has stairs, a pedestrian bridge, and a lookout point, perfect for photos and relaxing. The sign said open daily from 7 am to 9 pm but is closed during winter and in extreme weather. Some locals mentioned it tends to get stuck a lot, so we were lucky it was up and running. After taking the funicular down, there’s another elevator nearby that brings you further down to the river valley, making it easy to explore the beautiful trails and river.

If you're looking for a fun-filled family adventure, the Edmonton Corn Maze is an absolute must-visit! Nestled just outside the city, this expansive corn maze offers much more than meets the eye. As summer transitions into fall, families can enjoy not only the impressive maze but also a delightful sunflower maze and various engaging activities tailored for kids. Little ones can bounce on inflatable structures, climb hay stacks, and even try their hand at a potato gun while interacting with friendly farm animals.
This place is absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful spot to enjoy with family, especially if you have young kids. The animals are well taken care of, and you can even feed them for just $0.25. Right now, you can also find sunflowers, which you can purchase if you’d like. The corn maze is so much fun and great for all ages. There’s a wide variety of activities for children of all ages, from little ones to teenagers. Parking is very spacious and easy—you’ll always find a spot. Tickets can be purchased online or in person; I’ve done both and had great experiences each time. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks, and there’s also a small shop where you can find snacks and beverages. Highly recommended! 🌻✨

It was a fun experience! Dog friendly, good date spot or even a family event. We saw people celebrating their birthday here as well. Lots of activities to do. I would attend earlier in the afternoon than later as it gets quite busy, but there was enough parking which was good. There’s also a cute store with cotton candy and other goodies (cowboy hat key chains), pretty sweet overall! 🍁🍂

This place is easy to get to. Lots of parking. Either buy tickets online for a buck cheaper or at the gate (regular price). Once inside, there are lots of activities for everyone. Kids games, corn maze, sunflower field, picnic area, games for adults, goats and chickens areas. There's a store to buy local foods and handmade items. I'm probably missing a lot more things. You can easily spend a couple of hours here.

Corn maze was fun. Enough challenge but not too complicated either which kept it fun. Two completely different routes you get to try. But, my biggest surprise is there is way more than that. There are a bunch of activities you get to do. Like petting farm animals and feeding them. The prices were more than fair. Some things even completely free. Totally recommend!

Had a great time at the Edmonton Corn Maze! Lots of fun options for kids and families. The popcorn was fresh and delicious. The maze had two trails to explore and solve this time, which kept everyone engaged. We visited in early October, and while the sunflowers weren’t blooming then, it was still a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend for summer/fall outing!
Gihan W — Google review
I had such a wonderful time here, the maze was fun, they even have a qr code to scan to time how long it takes for you to complete the maze! Kids also had lots of fun. Definitely going next year!
Eva L — Google review
Always such a fun time! I love their kettle corn—it’s a must every visit. The corn maze is great for all ages, and I appreciate that you can choose to do the full maze or just half, which is perfect when you have little legs in the group. In past years it has been quite busy, but this year I went during the day with my sister and young niece and had a much better experience. I recommend going on a weekday if you have toddlers, as weekends can be a bit overwhelming. My only suggestion would be to sell tractor ride tokens at the entrance or as an add-on when buying tickets online. We had to walk back and wait in the concession line just to buy a $2 token. It would also be helpful if they offered change at the entrance for the goat feed machines, which only take quarters.

The Rec Room is a popular entertainment venue with multiple locations across Canada. It features two patios, one downstairs with surround sound TVs and high top dining, and another upstairs for quality lounging. Visitors can enjoy games and then relax on the patio for a complete afternoon of fun. The food is described as average, with options like the Rec Room Burger, fries, hot wings, loaded nachos, and chicken tacos. Some visitors found the burger to be dry but enjoyed the wings and nachos.
We visited The Rec Room South Edmonton twice this week, and had a great time both days! Tuesday is definitely the best day to visit since all the games are half price, which makes it so much more fun and worth it. The place is very clean, tidy, and full of energy with good music and an overall lively vibe. There are easily 50+ games and entertainment consoles here plenty to keep you entertained for hours. Some games are absolutely fantastic, though a few have loose joysticks due to overuse. It might be nice if an IT or maintenance check is done every couple of months to keep everything running smoothly. I also gave feedback to the Trophy Case counter staff about the King Kong Dinosaur VR game it’s an awesome concept but could be risky since there’s a big iron pillar right beside the console. For the player sitting on the right side, there’s a chance of bumping into it and possibly injuring a wrist or damaging a watch. Hopefully, they relocate that setup for safety. Other than that, the staff were helpful and kind, and the overall experience was excellent. You really won’t get bored here at all! One small suggestion I couldn’t find a drinking water dispenser anywhere around, which would be a nice addition. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind, play, and have fun with friends or family. Highly recommended!

We recently visited The Rec Room and had a fun time, especially enjoying the bowling. Some of the other games were just okay, and unfortunately, a few game machines weren’t working properly. There were also issues with game credits not being given correctly, and staff assistance was lacking in resolving this. On the plus side, having an SPC card gets you extra tickets, which is a nice perk. Overall, it’s a good spot for a fun outing with friends and family, but a little more maintenance and customer support would improve the experience.

Games and everything works pretty good. We did the ax throwing those kind of fun played a lot of the games. But the food food was horrible. Took like 45 minutes for it to come and definitely wasn't worth the wait my bottom my burger was soggy over sauce dripping that's kind of like jalapeno poppers they weren't hot at all. The fries were really small and like crumbs bottom of the bag we're not well cooked. The pizza might have been the best part we got the meat lovers. Still on the bottom 50% of what it should be like.

Such a great place to spend the night at and stay entertained for entire time. Darts is something that I like the most even though i’ve had couple of issues with it working not properly. But after asking the staff they helped me out and i had a lot of fun by the end of the day. Pool is something great about this place too but sometimes there is a bit of the line so you may end up waiting for a decent time in busy hours

Our first experience here was great. But on our second visit (a Saturday), we couldn’t do much. The bowling had a wait time of over an hour, and the arcades were packed to the brim. It felt like they were running over capacity. After an hour of aimlessly roaming through the crowd, we left feeling disappointed. Won’t be visiting again anytime soon.

What a fun place! We spent hours there. It brought out the kids in us, not just a playground for children! We enjoyed some alcoholic beverages as well as a delicious meal in between throwing axes, 10 pin bowling, and trying to beat the high score on the driving simulator. It was a little pricey, we dropped $100 to start, but between the 3 of us, we enjoyed over 4 hours of fun for that amount. Dinner and drinks were not anymore expensive than any other sit down meal establishment. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and well put together the meals were. The food was better than I expected for a gaming establishment. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. I will be going again and will recommend it to my family and friends when they are in Edmonton! Thanks for a fun afternoon! 🙌🏼

This is like a guilt free casino experience for adults lol and that’s the best way to put it, their prizes don’t such either. Went here with my friends many times and they have a lot of competitive games and it’s a very cool experience overall. Not expensive either. Highly recommend this place to anyone!
Brahm J — Google review
We came here for lunch and the food was surprisingly good. We started with the tomato basil burrata which was fantastic. The sauce is really good and the size is good for the price. The only fault is they should have more bread pieces since we ran out. For the main we shared the butchers daughter pizza which again was very good. There was a good amount of toppings and with an appetizer it was plenty big for 2 people. Service was actually good and pretty quick but it was very quiet at lunch time compared to dinner time. They have a free coat check by the entrance which made playing the games much more enjoyable. We especially like the connect 4 basketball game but there was often a line up so it would be nice if they had a couple more of it.

Beautiful space near the river. lots of trees and trails. One of the trails is part of the trans Canada trail. A few monuments and landmarks with information that you can read to see historical events. I especially like the flames on some of those. The background legislative building is iconic. 2 hour free parking. If you wish to see meetings you can visit inside. Or tour guide available for free (advance booking needed)

The leaves of the trees in this place had turned yellow in autumn, and the scenery was stunning. We were glad to find maple tree with red leaves, it was our first time seeing maple tree in Edmonton. I must say it was a great public area. Some people were walking around, while others were taking pictures or just enjoying the view that day.

Nice place to go in the winter for a short little walk to see the pretty Christmas lights. In the summer, it’s a great place to go in the outdoor pool to cool down (unsure if it’s still open?) and get a little bite from the vendors that pop up. A little pricey, but it’s a nice little getaway from home.

Great we'll manicured place to walk and get some fresh air. Plenty of people walking, especially during lunch hour. Food trucks close by too

Such a beautiful place to be around. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful landscaping and many flowering trees and plants. The architecture it's self is also great for photos. Never visited inside but there is so much you can do outside the building as well. The only problem is finding a parking spot especially if u come on a weekend considering it's in downtown. Plan your route if u don't live near by. Great place for picnic.

Foods not the greatest. Popcorn was stale tasting and burger was mediocre. Elks are super inconsistent but we go just to be outside praying they win a game...

Absolute nightmare at the Morgan Wallen concert. Not enough security and people getting trampled on. Event staff were too busy filming the concert to make people return to their seats that were standing in front of people who had paid $1000s on their tickets, obstructing their view.

Worst concert experience ever. Due to commonwealth! Morgan Wallen was amazing. Venue not so much. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent Morgan Wallen concert. I paid over $1,500 per ticket, expecting a premium experience, but what was delivered fell far below even the most basic standards. • No VIP Experience: Despite the high ticket cost, there were no tangible VIP benefits offered. • Concessions Failure: Drinks—including water—were completely sold out before the headliner even took the stage. This is unacceptable and unsafe. Sold out of most alcohol beverages as well. • Crowd Management: The people flow throughout the venue was chaotic, with no clear direction or organization. • Overall Organization: The event was poorly executed from start to finish, making it feel more like an afterthought than a professionally planned concert. Given the substantial amount I spent on these tickets, this experience was beyond frustrating and feels like a complete waste of money. I would like to know how you plan to address these failures for paying customers, as this was absolutely unacceptable. I look forward to your response.

Went here for the first time to watch the Metallica concert. It was so awesome ! This is a very huge stadium that seats around 50,000. I have ran hundreds of kilometers over the years in the park and there is so many combinations of trails you could do you will never run out. There is also awesome picnic shelters you can reserve for the summer. We went to a friends birthday party just the other day that was held at one and it made for an awesome party outdoors in nature. My recent visit to the Edmonton Public Library left me with a mixed bag of impressions, but overall, it was a positive experience. Upon entering I was greeted by a super-friendly old lady whose warmth and helpfulness set a welcoming tone for my visit. She efficiently assisted me with printing, making the process hassle-free. The library's spacious layout immediately caught my attention, providing ample room for browsing and reading. The vast collection of books further impressed me, catering to a wide range of interests and preferences. It's undoubtedly a haven for book lovers. For families with children, the Library offers a treasure trove of resources and activities. From engaging storytimes to educational workshops, there's plenty to keep young minds stimulated and entertained. However, it's important to note that during my visit, I observed a significant presence of homeless individuals using the computers on the third floor. While this didn't directly impact my experience, it's something to be mindful of, especially for visitors with specific concerns or preferences.

Friendly people Awesome environment Accessible building Perfect location Free Wi-Fi, common! Shout out to Paladin Security and its staffs However, there needs to be some additional building features like quiet rooms for me to give this EPL 5/5 starts. I do not do well in noise environments. The library hours could be extended during the weekends. It would be lovely there could be more study spaces as I am visiting this EPL with my Sister and my Niece. They make a lot of noise as they are 12ys old and want to play instead doing their homework quietly. This 2025, the MacEwan Library has lovely study spaces and updated iMacs, Standing Mechanical Desks, and quiet private rooms. This is what I look for in a library as I am not always attending university classes and my nice and sister are not there yet, so I visit the EPL downtown instead. I wish I had more privacy, or accessible features at this EPL as the Grant MacEwan University Library has.

The outside of this building is very unappealing, not just in how the building looks, but the amount of smokers and general disorder standing near the entrance. The inside is a whole different story. Genuinely one of the nicest libraries I've ever seen primarily for it's services. There are of course lots of books, but they offer things I haven't seen in other libraries like maker spaces, a gaming room, recording studios, study areas, classrooms, a seeds library, and more. I think this is an amazing library masked by an unfortunate exterior. Maybe the best use of the phrase of not judging a book by its cover.
Jebran — Google review
I hate leaving reviews like these, but there’s honestly nothing positive I can say about this library, and it is really sad, because they spent so much time, money and effort to re-model the library. Went there for an afternoon exploration with my friend, got off the Valley train, first thing I notice are drug users in front of the entrance smoking meth, I pay no attention. Walk in, and there is blood smeared on the floor! I was shocked. I throughly enjoyed looking around, using their interactive map on the main floor, checking out the makerspace, and the gaming areas, but by in far, the experience was ruined by the amount of homeless people, and the fact that this library has become a “de-facto” day shelter I’m sure has deterred a lot of patrons. I used the washroom, and 2 minutes later I get a pounding on the door asking if I need assistance; apparently security has to check on everyone in the washrooms for overdoses. Quite frankly, I don’t think I will be returning. It’s quite sad. If all levels of government came together, there wouldn’t be this need to turn a beautiful public space into a day shelter, which people like myself and families walk away from. I see enough of it on public transit, why can’t a family or someone like myself enjoy a library without having to see someone use drugs or someone having a mental health crisis?

Located in the heart of a bustling shopping center, the Ice Palace offers visitors a unique experience with an NHL regulation-sized indoor rink. Surrounded by two levels of the mall, it provides a captivating setting for both skaters and spectators. The venue also hosts various entertainment options such as figure skating, hockey practices, and public skating sessions.
I love the updates that have been done to this rink! I remember the old days when the Oilers used to practice here and the rink was quite basic. Now it has beautiful lighting above and around for a beautiful effect in the evenings at the public skates. When there are teams playing here the electronic scoreboard is quite beautiful and easy to see now. The music plays and sets the mood for games or a public skate. If you don't have skates with you that is not a problem. They have skate rentals here too.

It's pretty cool that an ice rink of this size is sitting in the West Edmonton Mall and available year-round. Price is a bit steep at $16 per adult or older kid, but it's an all day pass so you can come and go as you wish during their business hours. Skate hires cost extra, but helmets can be hired for free. Not sure how often the ice gets Zamboni-ed, as the ice surface was pretty rough during both our times on the ice (we skated and went back for another round later). Fun for the family and a nice way to spend some time in the Mall. Recommended

$16 for one person to skate without rentals. Rentals are $6. Ice was not flooded as they just had a game on it. No biggie as we had sharp skates. Did the 4:15-5:15 public skate. More like 4:30 after the tournament game ended. Still a great time

It is a good place even in summer for kids and parents for ice skating

You don’t find too many indoor mall ice skating rinks but here you will find one. But then again it’s the mega mall that is West Edmonton Mall. They have a few large attractions here. The rink at the time of this writing was being used for an event so there was no ice. I have seen it in the past however when it was an ice rink with people skating and enjoying themselves. I once did see the Edmonton Oilers having a practice here. 👍😎

16$ for general all day pass (age 11 to 54) and free for age 2 years and under. They have senior price for +55 years on weekdays just only 5$. 6$ for skate rental. Recommend to pay 10$ for the orange seal if you're a beginner, it'll help you a lot.

A nice facility for a hockey camp. Parking is more of an effort than most places but it's a nice place to grab a coffee and watch the practice. Happy to be able to get 6:30 AM ice for before school skates.

Located in Southwest Edmonton, it features 8 runs for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. The resort also boasts two terrain parks - the Beginner Park and Main Park - perfect for honing tricks and skills.
I've had the pleasure of photographing several weddings here over the last few years, and they have all turned out beautifully. The staff at Snow Valley are always so helpful, and everything has always run so smoothly. I can't wait to work there again this summer with my 2025 couples!

The venue is beautiful & Shelley made everything so easy! All of our guests were so pleased with the food, drinks, staff, & venue in general. Would definitely recommend having your wedding or event here!

Exceptional experience: I joined them for ski classes and they were awesome. The staff though very young (school kids really) are super motivated and are just amazingly pleasant to deal with. The coaching head or co-ordinator Lisa is the most helpful person ever. She personally ensured that all students are introduced and handed over to the coaches. Once I finish my beginner classes I will most definitely continue for intermediate lessons! Highly recommended...

This is a beautiful spot for enjoying target golf or simply relaxing in nature during the summer. The surroundings are peaceful and well-kept — perfect for a quiet afternoon. There's also a cozy café on-site where you can treat yourself to some delicious ice cream. Although I haven’t visited in the winter, I’ve noticed that skiing is available, which makes it a great year-round destination. Whether you're looking for a fun activity or just a scenic place to unwind, this place has something for everyone!

Amazing Experience for Beginners! I joined this place as part of a five-week program as a beginner, not knowing what to expect. From day one, the staff were incredibly welcoming and supportive. The coaches were great—while the training initially felt a bit tough, once I got the hang of it, it became so much fun! Everyone here is amazing, and the overall experience has been fantastic. I also had an issue with my missed session today, and when I reached out to the manager, Luke, he responded promptly and helped me resolve it. I truly appreciate his support! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to learn and enjoy skiing. Thank you, Luke, and wishing everyone many great skiing days ahead!

Monster Mini Golf Edmonton offers a unique and quirky family entertainment experience for guests of all ages. The indoor glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course is complemented by arcade games and a lively atmosphere with a DJ. The climate-controlled facility features fun-loving, animated monsters and living art decor, creating an immersive experience. It's a great place for families to enjoy mini-golf and arcade games in a friendly environment.
Great place to take your family to go mini golfing. The mini golf golf course is quite challenging. There's a person at the front to greet you and hand you your putter and choice colored ball. Pretty much everything glows in the dark due to the dark lighting. Lots of courses have special pathways and holes to get your ball through. That is quite challenging and fun. The theme of the golf course is called Monster golf course. But it's also quite of a horror type theme. At the end of the 18th hole, Dr. Jay, showed us a number of magic tricks that kept us well entertained.

The staff were welcoming and organized, ensuring everything ran smoothly for our group. The attention to detail in the course design, themed décor, and upbeat music created an unforgettable experience that had everyone engaged and laughing throughout. Monster Mini Golf proved to be a perfect venue for team bonding—it encouraged collaboration, light-hearted competition, and lots of fun memories. We highly recommend it for any group looking for a unique and enjoyable team-building activity

My family and I attended a private party recently where the entire place was rented out, so my experience may be a little different than others. We all had a great time, especially the kids. The mini golf course is pretty fun, although most of the obstacles include making bank shots or going through some obstacles. The course is very flat with only a couple of obstacles you have to shoot up into. The kids really enjoyed it, along with the characters, some of which moved, and all the black lights. The arcade is alright. The kids enjoyed the video games along with the ones that took some skill. The biggest issue with the arcade is that some of the card scanners were temperamental and didn't always scan properly. The private area off to the back was nice with some tables and chairs, but it was a little small for our large group. I also found it a little warm inside, as did others that were also there.

Ed's Bowling is a fantastic place to enjoy 10-pin bowling with big bowling balls. The KingPin Suite Bowling Lanes offer six short lanes for a unique experience. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is amazing, making it a great spot for both kids' birthday parties and adult hangouts. Families can also take advantage of special offers, such as the 7-day pass that includes access to various attractions.
A fun bowling alley with good table service if you want to get food and drinks. The dark glow of the site is also pretty cool. Tip: My family and I came here because admission was included as part of our two-day mall pass. If we didn't get the pass, however, we likely would not have come as we found the regular prices a bit steep. If you want to bowl here, you may want to consider doing so as part of a group of West Edmonton Mall activities, which you can pay as part of a pass.
James C — Google review
Went tenpin bowling here with some friends, and we all had an amazing time! It was such a fun change from our usual outings and everyone kept saying how different and exciting it was. The lanes were well-maintained, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a pro or just there for fun (like us), it’s a great spot to hang out, have some laughs, and enjoy a game. Definitely recommend for a night out with friends or even a casual date idea. We’ll be back for sure!
Melody E — Google review
It is nice that when you walk up to the counter and all the lanes are busy that they will take your phone number and give you a call when your lane is ready. After they call you have 15 minutes to get back up there so you can go to the Food Court below and get something to eat. The odd part of the system is that after having been called, yoh still have go back in the main line again. If they call you they should be diverting you away from the main line instead of putting you in the main line again. The shoe rentals run smoothly and the main bowling 🎳 area is cool with the dark main lighting and the neon mood lights. The lanes themselves are in decent shape, but the ball distribution system is a bit chaotic. It would be much better to have a central place to select the appropriate 10 pin ball instead of having them at the various lanes. 1 of our lanes' computers were glitching a bit with the scorekeeping which is ok for when kids are bowling for fun, but would be problematic if you were having a more serious game. All in all it is a fun place to come with a group of friends and get away from shopping in the mall.
John W — Google review
I have a pass for bowling today and I called in to do a couple inquiries and I was treated with nothing but respect and kindness and warmth. Well done. When I got to the alley tonight, I was again greeted with warmth and kindness, professionalism, and courtesy. Everyone is polite and more than happy to answer questions again very well done. I will recommend over and over and over for people to come and have a wonderful evening at Ed’s bowling here in West Edmonton mall.

We had a work conference and had our team go bowling. Truly didn't expect much other then a good time bowling but the staff really went above and beyond. On May 24 2025, we tried out the new karaoke room at Ed’s Bowling for my wife’s birthday. The room is located in the back by the billiards room and comfortably fit 12 adults. There was a great song selection but there were missing some favorites, specifically by Taylor swift. It’s probably a licensing issue with their program but still there was lots to choose from. The staff were fantastic to work with and we saw the waitress often to replenish drinks. You can book the room for 2 hours at a time and we felt like it was a great length of time because people slowly started to lose their voices after singing and dancing for so long. We would definitely do this again.

Sunday was my birthday, and my fiancé and I decided to celebrate by going out to play pool, grab a drink, and have something to eat. We arrived at Ed’s Bowling around 7:25 PM and asked the front desk if they had pool tables. The staff member simply gestured to the back and said “yeah.” No mention of closing times or limited service. We found a pool table and then tried to order food, only to be told the kitchen was already closed. That was disappointing but fine—we figured we’d just play a bit of pool. When I went to the front to ask for pool balls, I was told we could only play for 30 minutes for $15 because they were closing at 8 PM. This was the first time anyone mentioned closing time. When I asked why we weren’t informed earlier, I got no clear answer. I told the staff member I needed a moment to confirm with my fiancé, but she kept pushing the payment terminal toward me as if rushing me through the process. There was no proper communication, no courtesy, and the overall interaction felt rushed and unwelcoming—especially for what was meant to be a celebratory night. It would have made a big difference if staff had simply told us their hours when we arrived. We wouldn’t have wasted our time. Would not recommend based on this experience.

Professor WEM's Adventure Golf is a charming 18-hole miniature golf course located inside the West Edmonton Mall. It's a great activity for all, including those unfamiliar with golf. The colorful atmosphere and cartoonish caricatures make it an enjoyable experience, perfect for a fun date or family outing. While some find it more challenging than the Neon mini golf in the mall, others appreciate its better ventilation and public setting where people can watch you play.
Compare to the Neon mini golf ⛳️ in the mall, this is what I think: - this adventure golf is more challenging - better ventilation in summer/crowded - ppl in the mall can watch you play cuz it’s public - finding the next course maybe a little bit confusing cuz you need to look around for the next number as the course is quite big If you love mini golf ⛳️ highly recommend you to try both as two courses have different experiences.
Chelsea S — Google review
Upon our arrival at Professor WEM's Adventure Mini Golf Course at 12:15pm on a Tuesday, we joined a lineup of approximately one dozen individuals. Following our patient waiting time in line, the teenage course superintendent shooed us away from the counter. He denied us our next spot in line in favor of a group celebrating the day of birth of one of their youngest members. This breach of etiquette infuriated me. Augusta Georgia would never tolerate such a transgression. Consequently, I found myself unable to bring the focus, care and concentration to the course that I had wished too. On account of this lapse, our hopes and expectations were left diminished. We left our hopes there as we did the line. Our dreams shattered we rode the glass elevator to the sky. But nay we did not touch the clouds, we got off on the second floor and immersed ourselves in hot pot. With adequate soju and barley juice imbibed, we returned to the club house and attempted again to begin our round. Following an exchange of $70 in green fees and some choice words with the course superintendent, our foursome began our round. My wife opted to pocket, not one, but in fact two yellow golf balls, in anticipation of her diminished putting skill level. However, the course exhibited forethought in it's provision of tools to fish your ball from water hazards. As such, her two balls proved unnecessary. Upon commencment of our WEM adventure, we found the upkeep and maintenance of the course to be satisfactory. My remarkable putting skill level allowed me to record a 2 under par on the front nine. My wife and daughters were unable to match my achievement. The back nine initially proved less challenging as birdie after birdie saw my score reach -6. Alas, par 2 holes 16 through 18 exist at a more challenging level, and I finished 4 under par. My 10-year-old daughter was the only member of our grouping to record a hole-in-one. While the course was as excellent as my performance on it, the teenage staffing choices do not allow me to grant a full rating of five stars. I question Professor Wem's credentials. I suspect they have a Masters of Golf rather than PhD. As a doctor of golf would surely augment staff training with trips to courses such as Glen Abbey, the Royal Ottawa, or the Alberta equivalent. Unless and until a sane president returns to the country bordering this course to the South, one could scarcely recommend internships at Augsta National. Overall a solid course with reasonable wait times. The glass around the upper level allows mall goers to witness the brilliance of rounds like mine, and thankfully it is thick enough that my wife proved unable to shatter it with her errant putts. Thank you for the adventure Professor Wem. Thank you. ⛳️

I had a fantastic time playing mini golf at West Edmonton Mall! The indoor course was well-maintained and had a fun variety of holes to play. The theming was great too, adding to the overall fun experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of hand sanitizer stations throughout the course, which was reassuring during these times. The only downside was that the course can get quite crowded, especially during peak times, so be prepared to wait a bit before playing some holes. However, the overall experience was so enjoyable that the wait was worth it. Overall, I would highly recommend the indoor mini golf at West Edmonton Mall to anyone looking for a fun activity to do with friends or family.

We play a fair bit of mini golf and decided to try Professor WEM as we recently moved to Edmonton. Our impressions: 1) The course has a fun theme. 2) It is over-priced. 3) It is boring. Every green is just that-a green, some with curves and a couple fake small “sandpits” (that are actually just a hard surface). There are no fun obstacles, no objects on the greens, nothing that moves, no multilevels, nothing. 4) It can get very busy, being in a popular mall with lots of people. 5) Would we do it again- no.

This new arena wasn’t even thought of yet when I used to live in Edmonton way way back. Upon revisiting I went to take a look and I was impressed. Caught an Oilers game at Rogers Place and had a fantastic time. The concourses are bright and clean, staff were friendly, and security moved quickly so we were in our seats before puck drop. Sightlines are excellent from anywhere and the scoreboard and sound make the atmosphere electric. Food and drinks are tasty but on the pricey side, which is the only knock. Transit access and post-game crowd flow were smooth. I will be back.

Very nicely built with great views. Very expensive to enjoy fully. We enjoyed attending an Oilers Rookie Game recently. Entry for this event was inexpensive with general seating available meaning we could tryout alm the various seating options in the arena. We did sample the alcoholic, non-alcoholic and food options. These were good but extremely expensive. As the event we attended was not an at capacity event we did not face significant line ups including for entry, bathroom use or concession stands.

I've been to 2 concerts here so far and I definitely have a few words. First of all, the seats are SO squishy, barely any leg room. If you need the bathroom during the show be prepared to make your whole row stand up. And everyone is usually sitting down because standing is risky on those steep stands. But on the other hand. The sound is great! Even in the nosebleeds you can clearly hear the artist. This place would definitely be 5 stars if the seats were roomier. It isn't TOO difficult to find parking within walking distance too. There's a train station right outside the venue if that's ur thing.

A wonderful dog-friendly and family-friendly forested park with paved and dirt paths for walking and biking. This park also has a lovely natural creek, allowing dogs to swim and frolic. Since this park is a natural habitat, there is an occasional wild coyote.

I love bringing my dog here but small children need to be watched carefully because of playing dogs in the offleash area. Lots of trails to walk and it's very quiet and nice to the creek. There's some fire pit areas and access to the mill Creek outdoor pool. I'm very glad to live so close to this area and have the ability to bring my dog here. The people are generally friendly (always exceptions) and the dogs are usually well behaved.

Beautiful walking trail. Great for dogs off leash, families or just a nice relaxing walk by yourself. It is so beautiful in the fall. A few spots of the trail have been washed away from weather but there is still many other parts of the trail to walk. I highly recommend if you need a breather and get out of the busy city, but while still in the city 🍁

There lots if areas up and down, we found a very big field. If you go into the lower areas there are A LOT OF TREES. The lower area is a great place for biking, walking, hiking ,you can get alot of good photos there are a few paintings items there so try and find them! In the upper area you can roller skate too , be careful with the wooden bridges i got two really deep splinters in my finger. The creek is very beautiful from my point of view. The field has a Well placed bench and its a very good place for playing catch , doing cartwheels, running, playing Volley ball, playing football and over all relaxing.

One of my favorite places in the city to walk, the sound of the creek is just lovely in the summer and the lower trails are great for shade on hot days. The off leash trails are especially awesome if you like walking your dog.
J B — Google review
Love the trails here! They have multiple off leash sections with great views. I often got lost in the beauty that I even forgot that I was in the middle of the city and not in some magical forest.
Aline D — Google review
We had a great time biking this trail from south to north. Paved pathways but you can use the gravel if you want. It is a multi use trail. Lots of trees and birds chirping. Trestle bridges were amazing structures as part of Edmonton history. We parked at Argyll Velodrome.

Great atmosphere, good set up of seating, allowing all to see the stage area. Great evening out! Drinks are a little pricey.. got a water, a ginger ale, and two double spirits, and it cost $64!

My Dad and I saw the Life of Pi- wow it was amazing!! If you get the chance- go see it! I loved the book and they did an incredible job of bringing the characters and the animals to life- the main actor that played Pi was excellent- as were all the actors! My Dad loved it too- we were completely caught up in the story. Fantastic job!!!

This place was an absolute dream! Prices were fair and the layout was so cute. I loved the way they had each section set up. The only thing I would say is they forgot to pack my pin that I purchased :/ I would travel back to Edmonton just for this store.

Such a wonderful place to explore! This antique mall has an incredible variety of treasures from furniture and home décor to unique collectibles you can’t find anywhere else. The vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole space is well organized and easy to browse. Every visit feels like a little adventure, and I always end up finding something special at a great price. Highly recommend for anyone who loves antiques or just enjoys discovering hidden gems!

Lots to look at, cute shop. Pricing is mostly decent, but passed on some items as they are over priced. Overall good place though. Will go back, found some nostalgic items.

I love antiques- but today I found some sold here that were truly disturbing. There was a whole section of the mall with various racist and minstrel art. It is beyond racist and should be removed immediately. See for yourself Edit: today I came back to find even more racist caricatures in the same booth. It’s actually so atrocious and you should be ashamed of yourself

Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature at St. Albert Botanic Park, a charming five-acre botanical garden located in St. Albert. This picturesque park showcases an array of meticulously cultivated trees, shrubs, perennials, and vegetables across themed gardens such as flowering trees, evergreens, xeriscape, shade, and cottage-style perennials.
A beautiful garden in a small city. Clean and well maintained. A nice place to spend an hour or even the whole afternoon. I visited during the week and it was pretty empty which gave me a lot of time to take photos. Definitely a must visit when in St Albert.

Robin B — Google review
We stumbled upon the botanical gardens by accident during a spontaneous drive to St. Albert from Edmonton. What a find! It has been quite hot lately and it's near the end of the year so I imagine everything would be even brighter during the earlier months, but as it was the gardens were absolutely lovely to walk through and quite a gem to find! We will most definitely be back. We are seniors so we really appreciated the multiple benches dotted throughout the garden so we could sit and rest up, and having all the plants named was a big bonus as well too. Apparently the gazebo is a recent feature. And it looks like there may be more additions coming in the future. Highly recommend this lovely visual and fragrant walk in St Albert! PS: The free parking was much appreciated as well, and the gift shop was charming!

It was the end of the season but still a very nice facility. You can see the hard work just by looking at how well the beds have been weeded. It looks very well maintained. The different types of flowers and trees are numerous. It looks like a great place to take wedding photos. There is also a very nice Gazebo. I find that the whole city is always looking Prim, trimed & proper! I am from Edmonton & we have decided to go with the more natural look!! Way to go St. Alberta! No charge $

We had an amazing time at Hide & Seek Edmonton. The outdoor playground is fantastic-spacious, safe, clean and filled with fun activities for kids for all ages. My daughter loved exploring the play structures, , climbing and sliding for hours. The staff very friendly, always ready to help. Excellent management of the establishment is evident at first glance, bravo! I also love the idea of membership option- it’s perfect for family who want to visit regularly, plus members gets extra perks like discounts on snakes, birthday party, special events. But it’s worth reading the term of use, as there are some nuances. In conclusion, I want to thank the team for their excellent work

I've been coming here for a long time, and the improvements over the years have been amazing. They've added exciting new features like the SkySwing and a soccer field. There are also great deals available, including food combos and reasonably priced memberships. Now they're offering a Summer Camp in July, and my child can’t wait to join!

We have been coming here for years but we have noticed it's starting to become run down as it doesn't appear they actually repair anything. They simply just tape everything up and call it good. They removed all the balls from the ball pit game area so now it's empty area that is wasted space. They also removed the ball Canon area and didn't replace it with anything as you can see in the pictures. The upstairs bathrooms were closed for cleaning the whole time we were there even though no one was cleaning them. Hopefully they put some money back into the place to bring it back to life.

I have brought my little guy here twice. He loves it. We both have a wonderful time. Great way to get energy out. Especially on cold or rainy/snowy days. My one suggestion would be to get everyone to use hand sanitizer as they go in. We have ended up sick both times after being there. Im also wondering if it gets cleaned properly. It seems clean, but with that many kids coming in and out of there.... Not sure if it will stop me from taking him or not. Its that fun.

I felt like a kid again! Have you any idea how hard it is to find a working grain elevator around here? I have lived in Alberta most of my life and had never toured this historical site in St. Albert. The maintenance manager showed me around even though they were not officially opened yet. They open to public THIS weekend. Do not miss getting a view of the hopper and seeing how the elevator system works these were built at turn of the century in the 1900s - bring the whole family. This part of Alberta Heritage is a Must-see! This is the equivalent of seeing the Lighthouse keepers quarters on the Great Lakes for the Prairies!! Don't miss the old rail load point outside the Grain Elevator doors. I can just imagine the noise and sound of the train pulling up out back. These Grain Elevators were once how we fed the nation and beyond! Look how far we have come...

The Father Lacombe Chapel, located in St Albert's Lois Hole Provincial Park, is a significant historical site that showcases Alberta's rich history. Constructed in 1861 by Father Albert Lacombe and his Metis helpers, it stands as the oldest log building in Alberta. The chapel houses the 1929 statue of Father Lacombe and serves as the burial place for both him and Bishop Grandin.
We decided to stop in after many years of thinking about going "next week". We received a quick history of the chapel and Father Lacombe as well as other notable figures from St. Alberta history. There is no fee to visit and the Staff are friendly and accommodating. There are school tours so you might encounter one depending on timing. The church grounds are also available to explore with some signage that describes some of the history as well.

Came up the hill to enjoy the historic sites and read about the history of the area. Found 8 parking spots, all taken surrounded by at least 15 empty spots for Catholic school board members. The parish parking lot was marked heavily with signage banning parking unless you were attending services. So we drove around and didn't stop. It looks like it would have been a wonderful experience to walk and read all the signs but we couldn't. Recommend you add more public parking.

Yelo'd Ice Cream & Bake Shoppe is a cozy and vibrant establishment that specializes in soft serve ice cream and baked goods. This small, well-lit store offers a range of Filipino-inspired flavors, creating a distinct and authentic experience for customers. Run by a dedicated husband and wife team, the shop prides itself on handcrafting their delectable ice creams that reflect their Asian heritage.
The signature icecream at Yelo’d is their ube (purple yam) icecream. Comes in either soft serve or scooped icecream. Had the scooped icecream as I wanted to try their pandan flavour as well. The ube is their signature for a good reason. Tastes really deep with the sweet potato fragrant and at the same time not that sweet for an Asian inspired icecream (which is perfect for my taste). I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in a mood for some more ube icecream!

Large selection of very unique ice cream flavours. Super hard to decide. But with double scoop, it allows for multiple flavours to try and share!! Got the strawberry milk tea with cereal milk. Loved them both. The other double scoop was Filipino rocky road and buwan mist cuz the kids loved the colours of it. Surprisingly both very tasty as well. Very creamy ice cream. Warning that it is not nut safe.

My fav and go to ice cream shop!

As someone who is lactose intolerant; finding an ice cream place where I have one option is a rarity. Finding a place that has multiple AND they're not all just fruit flavored is like striking gold. This place is ALWAYS busy - for good reason. Their ingredient freshness shows as they're not cutting corners. Their baked goods section and drinks they serve are immaculate. We had ice cream as well at the Ube Nanaimo bars with fancy coffee, and it was perfect. It's not too sweet and definitely hit the spot. Be prepared to wait, but the line moves fast and the service is excellent. They also have a rewards system where you can collect points and redeem them at a later date. Oh! And take home pints of ice cream, too. Mm. Ice cream 😊

Cash for cars Edmonton, A great place to visit with children is one that offers plenty of opportunities for play, exploration, and fun, all within a safe and welcoming environment. Whether it’s a spacious park, an engaging indoor play center, a family-friendly museum, or a nature trail with interactive elements, the best spots are those where kids can be active, use their imaginations, and learn through play. These places often feature play structures, open spaces for running, creative activities, or educational exhibits tailored to younger audiences. The ideal destination will not only keep the children entertained but also allow parents or guardians to relax and enjoy watching their kids have a great time. It’s always a bonus when the location includes amenities like clean restrooms, shaded areas, snack options, and seating for adults. Overall, a nice place to play and take the kids should combine fun, safety, and convenience, creating lasting memories for the whole family.

The campsites are spacious, clean, and nestled among tall trees, providing a great balance of privacy and nature immersion. Nature & Parks
Strathcona Science Provincial Park, located on the North Saskatchewan River, offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and bird watching. The park features diverse trails for biking and hiking with varying levels of difficulty. Visitors can also enjoy picnicking amidst the stunning natural surroundings. The Larch Sanctuary within the park is a significant nature preserve that is home to various species of birds, ducks, wildlife, and plants.
This area is one of my favorite places to run. Very well maintained with a lot of different terrains. Beautiful scenery.

An odd little provincial park that has seen some neglect. Would be nice if it had a better developed trail system. Lots of old infrastructure that has seen better days. But it’s a nice place to take in some river valley views and enjoy Edmonton’s natural splendour!

If you like to Mountain Bike Science park boasts some stunning views, the trails rarely have people on them and some serious speed and technical trails, try squeeze the lemon xD. You can get to Rundle and Goldbar I'm guessing it's about 10 kms on pavement or gravel. Use your bell this part can be busier.

This is a really beautiful place to walk around, take a bike ride, or picnic with the family. There is plenty of parking on-site and several paved walking & bike paths. Its our favorite spot to take our yearly family photos in the fall - brilliant colors with all the trees changing.
Marisa S — Google review
The park is a run down and seems to be forgotten about, however for mounting biking, it has a fantastic variety of trails and courses. In addition, it has some fantastic vistas to watch the sun. If the some money was spent on improving the trail signage and formalizing the mountain bike course, this would a 5* all season playground .

It's a beautiful place, nice trails . You can see the city scape . Sunset is nice there but i think it's a hook up spot for sex. There was alot of in and out of car action there. So probably won't go back at night again. But it's wonderful during the day one side the city scape other side u can see the oil refinery

Great big area! There’s tons to explore and it’s so scenic and great for relaxing and taking pictures! It has a bridge that connects it to Rundle Park on the opposite side of the river. There’s free parking which is great. A little out of the way to get to but such a pretty area it’s worth it.

Really amazing spot for the middle of Sherwood Park and Edmonton, super nice, lots of trees, is great for biking! Also a ski hill is extremely close to it if you are in the mood for that, overall very nice place!

Nature preserve
Larch Sanctuary, located at the Larch Park Community Garden, offers a stunning natural retreat with steep trails leading to views of Whitemud Creek and its diverse birdlife. The sanctuary is home to the vibrant Tamarack tree, known for its golden-orange color in the fall. Spanning 59 acres of old-growth forest, it provides ample space for leisurely walks amidst tall trees and autumn foliage.
Oct 5/24 Went there for a short walk in the afternoon. The last time I was there, was more than ten years ago. This time only walked half of the circular path, 3000 steps. It was nice, sunny and warm. The scenery was not bad. I think in a few more weeks, most of the leaves turn yellow, then would be more beautiful.

Cool place to enjoy nature without leaving city limits. Trail is easy for the active ones and moderate for the first-timers. Even the seniors can enjoy this trail and can choose to take breaks in between. James smith bridge is a good starting point that offers enough parking space. I have enjoyed this trail in different weather but I still like going there!
Jack G — Google review
Beautiful. Hiking on a hot day is advisable as it is steep is some places. About an hour unless you wander off the trails a bit. Lots of ups and downs— gets the heart going! Not tremendously busy.
Shrina P — Google review
Trails here are very rough and not marked. Easy to get off course. There are some dangerous sections with steep drops and a sketchy crossing across a log that spans a gorge. Wear sturdy boots and be ready for an adventure!
Aaron T — Google review
Beautiful place for an Adventure throughout this Park and also connects into Mctaggart Sanctuary off a trail past the garden. Make sure if you're heading into the bush to bring Bug spray 🦟🦟 and Sunglasses also to watch your Step as there's lots of Roots all over trails with Steep inclines and amazing Views. A Hidden Gem for sure in Any Season

Love this spot - beautiful year-round, especially in the summer and fall!

Aspen tree beauty.. one side range of trees and other side beautiful houses.. The woods are harmonizing. Its hard to believe you are in the city as well as near to sacred jungle.

AMAZING! Cannot believe that I’ve never went for a hike at this place in the city. It’s amazing you feel like you’re not even in the city! The trails were great and well-maintained my dog really enjoyed our very long hike! Highly recommended.
