Vegan restaurant
Restaurant
Padmanadi is a renowned Indonesian vegan restaurant with two locations in Edmonton. The downtown location offers a classic dining experience, while the Southside location provides a more fast-casual atmosphere. The restaurant serves vegetarian and vegan variations of traditional dishes from Indonesia, China, Thailand, and India, such as Lemon Prawns, stuffed tofu, Mongolian chicken, and the Padmanadi Seafood Delight.
We ordered Tempeh Pulau, Nasi Goreng, Singapore Noodles, and Roti. Tempeh Pulau is highly recommended!!!! Honestly I am not quite sure what exactly ingredients they used for this dishes but IT IS SO YUMMY!!!! Singapore Noodles is a bit too curry-ish for me but it tastes good! It is very spicy so you would love it if you love spicy food. The Nasi Goreng is an Indonesian fried rice. It tastes really good and it is very suitable for children! :)

Its been a couple years since I've been in and wish I remembered to go more often. The food is soon good. So much flavour and the texture is amazing. I went with my meat eating friend and she said the texture of the Mongolian chicken is spot on for real meat. I even had my husband eat my leftovers when he got home and said the same. This place is for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They also have gluten free options. Defiantly don't sit on coming to Padmanadis, it's so good. The service is great too.

Visiting Edmonton from California, we weren’t sure what to expect in terms of vegan food. This restaurant blew us away. The flavors were delicious and creative, the best vegan Asian food I’ve had tied with a small restaurant in Santa Monica, California. We loved all three dishes we tried, and will be heading back for brunch on our way out of town. Their staff was well informed and helpful, there is a separate gluten-free menu, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. This is a must try!

Love this restaurant. I enjoy 😊 coming to both this location and, the south side one. Surprisingly, each has a different menu. This location is bigger as is their menu options. The service is wonderful and friendly and the food is always fresh. I love all of the creative Vegan dishes and, plan to try their buffet they offer once a month. Thank you for a great meal 😊🤗😊
Katmay Q — Google review
Went to their monthly buffet and it was amazing. The selection of foods they offered was great. So were the desserts. Best ginger beef I've ever had! Much prefer it to actual beef. They had vegetable dishes. A lot of good tofu dishes. Their lemon shrimp is amazing as well as their rice pudding and everything! Highly recommend.
Tara B — Google review
Tried Padmanadi for the first time and it’s truly a hidden gem! A friend recommended it, and we’re so glad we checked it out. The food was full of flavor and the vegan options are amazing. Definitely worth coming back — highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty plant-based dishes in Edmonton!

One of my favourite spots in the city to eat! They have got a great menu to select from. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Amazing Atmosphere! The price for a group of over 15 people was only $300. Which was amazing. We ordered soooo much food and it was sooo good. Highly recommend. The rendang curry and the ginger beef was amazing! If you are vegan or vegetarian please go there! They pay really good attention to your dietary needs as well and made something special for my grandpa who has some special dietary needs.

Fine dining restaurant
Sabor Restaurant is a top-notch dining spot in Edmonton, offering a blend of Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. The restaurant is the brainchild of two passionate chefs, Christian Mena and Adelino Oliveira, who aim to bring the flavors of their home countries to diners.
Wow. Had dinner for the first time. What a wonderful choice. Our server and the manager both recommended the family style meal. So much food and everything was incredible. The food is so fresh, perfectly cooked (I hate overcooked seafood) and so flavourful! Very friendly and attentive service, so helpful and understanding with our newbie questions. Can't wait to visit again.
Mary N — Google review
As many have mentioned this place is great, went here for our 10th anniversary just to get away and enjoy ourselves. Got the seafood platter course, the clams and muscles were delicious it was cooked perfectly and so juicy when you bit into it, and so easy to remove from the shells iykyk. The sauce it came in was so delicious, not salty and yet to creamy perfect to dip with the hot fluffy baguette that came with it. Their famous lobster risotto was perfectly chewy and the little bit of lobster pieces were just so delicious. The scallops were exceptionally cooked to perfection, with a nice crust on the top and bottom while still juicy in the middle. My wife especially loved the pimento aioli that elevated piri piri prawns taste. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly, and I personally think it went great with the pimento aoili instead of the butter. The calamari was fantastic with the mixed greens and so refreshing with the cucumber aioli. The service was great, it was just quick enough between each course and enough time for us to chat and enjoy what we were eating as we looked forward to the next dish. Pamela was our waitress and was exceptionally detailed in describing each dish as it came out, very tentative and quick to get what we needed. The other staff were awesome as well, water was always full and we didn't have to wait long for anything.

I ordered the grilled octopus entre and got recommended the lobster risotto. Octopus had perfect texture but had too much of a burnt crisp to it. The risotto was divine, rich, and felt like a comforting hug. The service was absolutely amazing, consistently checked up on and the manager was really interactive and personable with all the customers. Truly enjoyed my visit and will come again for great seafood

Probably one of the best experiences we ever had in a very long time, a big part of it was our server Pamela, who treated us with great expertise and attention to detail. The food was also cooked to perfection. You can tell everybody cares about everything in this restaurant. Will definitely be back for more in the future!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sabor restaurant on April 17, 2025, for my daughter’s birthday and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The ambience was inviting, perfectly complementing the exquisite dishes we indulged in. Our meal featured a delightful array of selections including the Grilled Octopus, which was tender and flavourful, showcasing the chef's expertise in seafood. The Lobster Paella and Chicken Paella were both outstanding, rich in authentic flavours and cooked to perfection. The Peri Peri Chicken added a spicy, savoury kick that balanced our meal wonderfully. The quality of service was amazing. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, enhancing our dining experience with their thoughtful recommendations and prompt service. Overall, I would rate Sabor restaurant as excellent. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch culinary adventure with impeccable service.

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant again. It was very busy. We ordered the seafood plate with mussels, shrimp, calamari, halibut and Arctic char. The dessert was delicious.. Mini size but enough for 2 people.
Tazlin K — Google review
Positives: The meat here, both seafood and otherwise, is VERY well cooked. Octopus isn't rubbery and boar cheek is extremely tender. The food has some good sharp flavors of classical cuisine. The blackberry coulis was a sharp and refreshing contrast in what was supposed to be a decadent chocolate cake. My server never left me for long and always paid attention to my water. Negatives: The food here was cooked well, but the flavors just weren't as dialed in as they could have. Some things were too strong and some weren't strong enough (the sauce paired with the braised boar cheek lacked a needed acid, the sauce around the octopus had too much acid). The dessert was particularly disappointing - dry cake with not nearly enough decadence to counteract the blackberry coulis and a very very thick chocolate shell difficult to break through. This place was very busy and popular. Servers really were business focused and not very personable. This place is very ran through in my opinion and a little overrated. I still think the Marc is far better when it comes to high end cuisine, but this is still very good seafood.

I booked Sabor’s private dining room for our engagement and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions I’ve made in years. I initially booked a consultation with the Manager Cory L. and I was blown away by his professionalism and helpfulness throughout the process. The moment I met him, I knew this would be the restaurant for our occasion. From the moment my fiancé and I stepped into the restaurant on our special day, Cory greeted us and quickly welcomed us into the private dining room. The main floor set the tone through the restaurant’s lively main floor to the private room—exposed-brick walls, soft Edison bulbs, and a single long harvest table. The space felt elegant, rustic yet completely secluded, exactly what Sabor promises for us. Service was seamless all night. Our dedicated server, Joshua B, balanced warmth with precision: drinks appeared before glasses ran dry, plates arrived in perfect cadence, and I have never had such an amazing server in my life. He opened the evening pouring our champagne and provided us with our set planned menu. More impressive, though, was how he read the room—from our private acoustic performances, pacing our meal, and drinks then brightening them again just enough for Instagram-worthy photos of every course. Joshua’s warm hearted, kind, quick-witted and thoughtful personality made our dining experience incredible! We began with pillowy house bread and a tray of tomato-basil bruschetta that crackled with garlicky crunch. The calamari followed—lightly dusted, flash-fried with aioli, impressing my fiancé who initially did not like calamari. A fragrant bowl of saffron mussels arrived; the broth was very flavourful, and creamy. I would order this again! The mains arrived and came the show-stopping wagyu striploin—rare perfection with just enough char easily the best steak I’ve ever had, with velvety mashed and baked potatoes. Beside it, a roasted chicken quarter proved anything but ordinary, the meat was succulent and delicious. We ordered A silken mushroom risotto—tied the meats together, each bite earthy and comforting. For lovers of Spanish comfort food, the chicken-chorizo paella was the dish we kept revisiting. The rice was crispy but tender, while smoky coins of chorizo lent depth to every forkful. Beverage-wise, the meal felt like its own tasting flight. We toasted with a crisp rosé champagne whose strawberry notes paired beautifully with the calamari. Midway through, Joshua surprised our table with a mini port-wine tasting—four pours ascending in age and complexity. Joshua provided us with descriptions with each port-wine, and was very knowledgeable about all the drinks Later, as conversation mellowed, an espresso martini that bridged us gently into dessert. The espresso martini was to die for! It was made with an Italian espresso and had chocolate undertones. Speaking of sweets, Joshua brought the evening home with desserts! We had a sample platter of two types of cheesecakes, Portugese cream custard, tiramisu and a coffee cake bar! The portugese cream custard—burnt top, custardy center, whisper of citrus zest. The star of desserts, though, was the coffee-cake bar: a buttery crumb topping over espresso-soaked sponge that vanished in seconds. For the purists, a feather-light tiramisu layered with house cream. The passionfruit and cherry cheesecake was fantastic! By the time we lingered over the last sips of port, it was clear Sabor had nailed the trifecta of private dining: impeccable service, bold yet balanced flavors, and an atmosphere that feels simultaneously celebratory and intimate. I am incredibly impressed with Sabor. Everything from the staff, food and atmosphere were impeccable! I’m glad that I chose Sabor for our engagement and will forever fondly remember this special moment thanks to the staff.

Rge Rd is a popular high-end restaurant with a rustic-chic ambiance that offers innovative farm-to-table dishes. The menu features creatively crafted meals using locally sourced ingredients from small-scale producers and farms, ensuring exceptional freshness and quality. The restaurant's commitment to utilizing every part of the ingredients results in unique offerings like 'Questionable Bits.' Rge Rd embodies Alberta's landscape on a plate, showcasing the region's bountiful cuisine through its farmer-friendly approach and hyperlocal sourcing.
By far the best put together 6 course meal of all time. We got to try two brand new dishes that were as amazing as the rest of our dinner. Serving staff were awesome and walked us through course highlights like how each course was made and by whom, special ingredients and techniques used, and they certainly seemed to enjoy their job. It was fun to watch other patrons as they tasted courses that we had tried 15 mins earlier. Very friendly crowd and I can't wait to return to try something new again!!

We ordered Flank and Bison. Flank was very flavourful with very rich beef taste. Flank wasn’t melt-in-mouth kind of steak, but it was tender. I loved it very much. Bison tasted more chewy with more fat. My friend liked it. Alena was very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was top-notch! Highly recommend this place if you want fresh and high quality steaks.
Food L — Google review
Amazing experience right from the moment we walked in (smells incredible!) to the end of the night. The servers are all very knowledgeable, the food is amazing, the cocktails were awesome. We did the tasting menu and it was INCREDIBLE. I’ve personally never had a steak this good in my life. As major foodies who’ve tried many restaurants all over the world, this was a 10/10.
Cassidy S — Google review
Great service. They are attentive and clean even the smallest of crumbs. The tartar does not stand out. The scotch egg was good. Most importantly the 6oz top sirloin (medium rare) was *tough*. It was a very big let down and was suppose to be the highlight because I was excited to try “Alberta beef”. Unfortunately, for such a well known restaurant.. I wouldn’t recommend to my friends.
Colling T — Google review
Wanting to try one of Edmonton’s top restaurants known for its farm to fresh concept, we celebrated my wife’s birthday and splurged on the tasting menu. The restaurant is cozy and homey with comfortable atmosphere that’s small but not cramped. The staff is extremely professional and friendly and explained all the dishes. The wine menu offers a small selection of half bottles which is nice because like most fine dining experiences, all the others are in the $150-200 a bottle range which is not worth it when the meal is already $110 each. They also have reasonably priced local craft beer and various cocktails. My wife had a decent glass of a red wine from Greece which we didn’t even know exported wine. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t “wow” me the way tasting menus should. It started with gazpacho which was quite good but may have been the highlight. Bison tartare was good but not great. Pasta was angel hair with a Taber Corn sauce. While I appreciate the notion of locally sourced seasonal food, creamed corn isn’t a good match for pasta and failed for me. The meat was defiantly a disappointment. In my opinion, smoked brisket is the cheapest cut of meat a fine restaurant might offer and it doesn’t belong on the menu if a $110 meal. While I don’t expect ribeye which they charge over $200 for, a tip sirloin or similar cut would’ve been appreciated. Served with charred kale and a large portion of what’s really baked beans, the main lacks creativity for my money. The dessert was just OK and should always stand out at the end of an expensive six course meal. No one flavor stood out and the raspberry sauce was way too minuscule to appreciate. Overall not a bad experience but for $319, I excepted one of the best dining experiences possible and if this it for Edmonton, we’ll save our money for European vacations. Sorry.

Michelin quality food for top tier high street prices. We absolutely loved it and fairly shed a tear at the thought we will never eat here again. Simply faultless. We ate a là carte and had the elk, bison, chocolate Swiss roll and cherry ice cream, as well as two wonderful glasses of Canadian red wine.
Lucy E — Google review
I'd like to state I am personally very critical of the food im eating as I grew up in a house of cooks and I myself can cook so I do judge food very harshly. my personal thing is "it should be better than my own kitchen". That said I did the road trip and I loved the experience of it and the presentation, it was wonderful. On the other hand the taste of the dishes yet unique and complex wasnt something that made me think "omg this is amazing". I understand this is for an experience, but the portions and taste to price ratio I just can not justify it, im sorry. In the end the service was amazing food was ok but nothing to wow me unfortunately.
Ryu S — Google review
Top quality food with top notch service and considering the cost of going anywhere these days, reasonable prices. Not cheap, but neither is the service or flavour. Absolutely worth it. Rob was my service. Hats off to his service.

Italian restaurant
Uccellino is an Italian restaurant that offers a modern take on traditional dishes in an intimate and contemporary setting. The menu features elevated versions of classic Italian fare, such as tomato, ricotta, mint, and chili crostini; tonnarelli cacio e pepe; and ricotta gnocchi. The restaurant aims to transport guests to Italy with its flavor-forward cuisine and strictly Italian wine list.
Uccelino was delicious !! We went here on a date night and had the multiple course feature dinner. They were extremely accommodating and I did not have to miss out on anything. The one dish I couldn't have, my partner said the Gluten free pasta option was almost better than his! Everything was fresh, authentic and crafted with care. The employees were all very nice too. Will definitely be coming back here after hitting the gym.

Wow! My husband and I came to this restaurant for the first time, and it was truly amazing! The atmosphere was modern and upbeat, which we loved. Our server, Stacy, was absolutely fabulous - friendly, inviting, and kind! We decided to be adventurous and try the tasting menu, and we were so glad we did! Everything we tasted was a perfect 10 out of 10 - it was all so delicious! Plus, we got to try a lot of different dishes that we probably wouldn't have ordered off the menu on our own. We highly recommend the tasting menu and want to give a big shout-out to Stacy, who made our visit so memorable. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely perfect. The attention to detail in the food shows the level they are at. Everything on the plate is intentional and essential. Not many places have this understanding. The level of cooking here is incredibly high. Service is subtle and gracious, not overbearing. I can not say enough regarding how much respect I have for the team at Uccellino. For their true understanding of food, ingredients, seasons, and pure cooking ability. Thank you very much, Bradley Anderson

Amazing Italian food. Well thought out menu. Edit: We came back here again as we were back in the city. Food continues to be top quality with a succinct menu. We thoroughly enjoyed their pasta selection along with the roasted chicken and salad we ordered. Of note, they do not have high chairs and so if you bring a little one, make sure you have your own booster seat on hand.

My brother gave me a gift card for my 50th bday... so decided to treat me and my friends. Upon entering, if you don't pay attention, you'll miss the front entrance... luckily we were able to find street parking...The decor is very minimal and modern, didn't realize there was an upstairs dining area as well... they have an extensive drink and wine menu but we stuck to water lol ... our server was very nice and knew the menu well... we shared the arancini appetizer and they were so good! I had the cacio e pepe, it was rich as our server had mentioned...however, I felt for $30, the dish could've had more! It's definitely a great place to go on a date or after work meal.
Angela V — Google review
As a first-time visitor, I was disappointed by the excessive amount of salt in each dish. While each item tasted great, we all felt that everything was overly salted. From the arancini balls to the pasta, we couldn’t finish our meals because we were too full from drinking the water after every bite. Service was great though and we would visit again (as long as they don’t over salt)!
Viv T — Google review
We came here for Father’s Day since a lot of friends recommended Uccellino’s. The service and atmosphere are great. Unfortunately, I feel like the food fell flat of our expectations. The panzanella was really great and refreshing and so was the tagliatelle, but that’s about it. Our table had also ordered Agnolotti, Cacio e Pepe, and Paccheri and those were all very salty/overly powerful in strong cheese and lemon. Almost everything we ate tasted very strongly of lemon and cheese. None of us could really enjoy the sauces or the pasta, so it probably wasn’t for us. It was also quite expensive so I was expecting something more, but oh well. The olive oil cake was given as complimentary, which was really nice! It’s very lemony in the centre but moist. They also have a very extensive drink menu but we only got the strawberry Bellini since that was their special. Overall, it’s not for us but if you like strong lemon and cheese flavours, it’s a pretty good place to go.

The Melting Pot Edmonton is a fondue restaurant chain that offers heated pots of cheese, chocolate, or broth for dipping and cooking. It's an ideal spot for an intimate date night or special occasion. The restaurant provides a unique fondue experience for both kids and adults with themed kids activities once a month. Located on Calgary Trail, it offers a romantic ambiance and secluded dining section along with great food and drinks.
I recently had the pleasure of dining here with my colleagues for a work dinner, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. Our server, Victoria, was exceptional. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. Her friendly demeanor and professional service really enhanced our evening. She guided us through the menu with ease, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that our fondue experience was both fun and delicious. We started with a rich and creamy cheese fondue, followed by a variety of fresh and flavorful entrees cooked right at our table. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the decadent chocolate fondue for dessert, which was the perfect way to end the evening and we were so full! Overall, exceptional dining experience that was perfect for our work dinner as everyone was engaged and enjoying the process. Highly recommended for a unique experience!

This is my first time ever doing fondue at a restaurant as opposed to someone's house. Talk about a step up! Really tasty flavours and fantastic service. I felt like I wanted more to eat at the end, but when I let it all settle, I found I was nicely full and satisfied.

How have I NOT been here before? I cannot believe how amazing this place is!!!!!! First off, my server is perfection. Beyond kind, well spoken, exceptional interpersonal skills. GEORGIA IS AMAZING! I am truly honoured to be in the presence of such a lovely woman. I recommend people meet her This girl is meant to go places. The atmosphere is NOT what i expected from the outside. From the outside it looks like any nice upper end strip mall restaurant.... Then you step inside... It is like stepping into secluded luxury. Each part of the restaurant has a unique feel for every occasion. Then i had my first bite of food... the ceasar salad reminded me of fine dining it New York. The dining experience is one of a kind. Decadent from beginning to end Thank you melting pot

Went for the crave combo and specifically let our server know our vegetarian preferences. Our soup was served with crumbled bacon on top. The server was very rude, and instead of apologising, she acted annoyed when we requested to change it. The food was great but unfortunately due to the bad service we won't be coming again.

We sat for 20 mins without even a water we had to find a server ourselves. Then our Cesar's went back the clam tasted rotten. Every time a server was needed we had to go find one because we were tucked away in a room and forgotten about. We cleared all our own food off the table onto a tray in the corner of our room and when the dessert pot came we were asked 2 times if we wanted topper refills but they never did come. We have been to melting pot many many times and never experianced something like this. The room was super dark and as stated the service was awful. The food itself is fantastic as always.

I had my first food experience at this restaurant on Saturday. We booked a table for six for an early dinner. We have Don as our server. He explained everything very well. Was attentive. Was pleasant. No complaints here. We had a huge variety of options as we had the ability to choose three different cheese fondues; three different broths and three chocolates. That was amazing. We enjoyed it all. Thanks for a fun experience. Worth trying.

My husband took me to The Melting Pot tonight for my birthday and we were lucky enough to have Danae as our server again. This is the second time we’ve had her and she is honestly amazing. She’s so kind, down to earth, and has such a great sense of humor — we love her! She’s super rad and just a genuinely nice person. She really makes the whole experience feel extra special.

I visited Melting Pot a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing experience. Some of our group (me included) were a bit confused about how the whole thing worked. We had looked at the menu ahead of time but it was hard to imagine how it would go because we'd never had anything like it. Even though he had to explain the whole process to us and answer lots of questions, our server was nothing but kind. He would even crouch down by the table so we could hear the explanations better, which was a small but very appreciated gesture. They are also very accommodating for different dietary restrictions/preferences. They had dairy free options for my cousin and made it very clear which dipping sauces had dairy in them. I was also happy with their vegetarian choices. The way that everything was set up made us feel included in the group, which can be hard when you're trying to figure out substitutions and what is safe to eat). Overall, it was an amazing experience! It is a bit pricey, but for the quality of the food and service I think it was well worth it!

Located in Edmonton's Garneau neighborhood, Sugarbowl is a popular eatery and bar known for its craft beers, bistro meals, and weekend brunch. Originally established as a burger joint in the 1940s, it has evolved into a full-service bistro and pub with a retro western-style interior. A must-try dish is their signature Chicken and Waffles - featuring fried chicken breasts on top of a waffle with watermelon salsa and maple butter.
Really nice food and atmosphere! Best place I ate at! Spent my birthday here and Jen was a great server! Really made my birthday! All the servers here are nice and they read minds. Thank you!! (Also music taste was great too!)

Fun birthday dinner! Lots of energy here on a Friday afternoon. Good happy hour! Yummy food (apricot cheesecake!). The only suggestion: improve the white sangria with a mix of fruit/juices... tasted like a mimosa which was good but not sangria-ish. Exceptional service!

Cute breakfast spot, very busy and lively. Service was good nothing too special, food was great. Got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was delicious, the watermelon was also surprisingly very nice with it as well. Iced americano was not good at all but that’s okay… Would definitely come back tho!

A local gem, service and food both on par! It’s cheap, affordable and delicious. I ordered bison chili and paired it with a Merlot wine. My boyfriend had Mac and cheese and an ipa beer both were amazing!

Very popular spot for brunch or patio drinks. Can be tough to get a table, especially for groups. Service is attentive, fast, and friendly. They have an excellent selection of drinks and a great patio on which to enjoy them. On this occasion I got the spicy burger with fries, and a polyrhythm brown ale. Beer was well poured and perfect temp. Burger was just ok. Fries were cooked perfectly. I found the brioche bun excessively greasy on the outside and the burger patty too thick and juicy for a brioche bun in general. The bun couldn’t stand up. Also, this is just preference, the patty is heavily spiced, which isn’t my thing. Lastly, I like the burger to be a bit charred on the outside and this one just wasn’t. Almost as if the grill wasn’t quite up to temp. Overall, great spot for a drink and friendly service on a nice day. IMO, not a go-to for burgers.

We bike by here all the time in the summer and this place is always busy, so we always wondered what it was like. Yesterday we stopped in for brunch (on a Monday) and we both had the special, the breakfast burrito 🌯. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent. All the other food that came out as well looked delicious and well prepared. I do see reviews saying that sometimes there's a wait time. I believe if you have to wait a bit here it's worth the wait. Our food came out very fresh and hot. Thats what I would expect. Definitely will be stopping in again. We also heard the cinnamon bun was really good. They were sold out so we went to the coffee shop upstairs cause they have the same ones. It was good. Don't expect it to be a typical cinnamon bun cause its not. I would say don't expect them to be the best you've had.

Thank you for the lovely afternoon. There are such #goodvibes at this restaurant. My Sangria🍷 was delicious - not too sweet and, exactly how I like it. As usual, the BANANA 🍌 cream pie was the da bomb 💣 Thank you and see you soon 🔜

Delicious brunch! Portions are large and prices are fair. Service is friendly and it was fairly busy on the Sunday morning we went. The wait was around 15-20 minutes. The chicken and waffles were very good. I got the syrup on the side instead of directly poured on . The waffles are not too sweet and the chicken breading is not too thick-- it was perfect :-) The breakfast sandwich and wrap also looked delicious. The cinnamon bun truly was excellent and it is quite large and fluffy. Excellent place for dates and small groups! I would come again to try the huevos rancheros!

Corso32 is a chic and modern Italian restaurant known for its creative, locally sourced dishes, particularly its handmade pastas. A must try in the city of Edmonton. Upscale food, with a casual atmosphere. The food was fantastic. We had the pasta tasting menu and I highly recommend it. Every dish was perfectly cooked, presented and appropriately seasoned. The GNOCCHI, I don't even know how to explain how good it was, a must try. Wait staff was very knowledgeable about each dish we were presented and were super attentive. The whole restaurant including thr washrooms were clean and tidy. They had a coat check which was a wonderful addition to the visit.

The food here is delicious! Some dishes, I must admit, we're put together at a much higher class than my tastebuds could handle, but all very interesting and enjoyable nonetheless. Be sure to book your table at least a month in advance. They are always busy... so much so that they waived our drinks because of how backed up their kitchen was.

Your mouth will feel like it died and went to heaven. The service was perfect. Not too pushy, not too distant. My water glass was never empty. The food was quick considering it’s all made in house. By far the greatest meal I’ve had in a very long time. I went with two friends and we all had to try each other’s and they were all amazing. I would have taken photos of dessert too, but they disappeared pretty quickly after they landed on the table. This is absolutely a five star experience.

Delicious plates made with fresh ingredients. The handmade pastas are delicious! Portion-wise they've increased what you get (comparatively from when we went when they first opened) but the prices seemed to have gone up too? We ended up sharing the pasta dishes, so they split the dishes into two separate plates for us, which is nice! In any case, it's worth dining here because of their well made/composed dishes. It's more of a special occasion place for us, like once or twice a year kind of place.
Christina J — Google review
Very cozy atmosphere, although a bit dark in the back of the resturant. I would ask them to seat you closer to the front window. The food was very good and the waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, she took to time to explain everything on the menu. Portion sizes were on the smaller side but they offset it with quality. Will come back on other special occasions.
B C — Google review
The pasta was, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. Our server was so wonderful, she took the time to explain everything on the menu in detail and when asked for recommendations, she did not steer us wrong!! The desserts we ordered were out of the ordinary, I have never had cheese with honey and pepper. An unusual flavour combination but delicious as well. You definitely get what you pay for here, well worth it.

Bustling high end Italian restaurant located on Jasper Avenue. Unbelievable food and wine paired with excellent service. For starters we had the fried short rib with shaved pear served on toast. The handmade Tagliatelle was perfectly cooked and prepared in nice thin ribbons (texture was rich and silky with seasoned ragu). The Modenese Pork Tenderloin was also a highlight which was cooked medium with balsamic vinegar with culatello ham. For desert, the Chocolate Torta is a must. Would definitely eat again. Take note that reservations tend to fill up and I would recommend making reservations at least a week in advance to get popular dinner time slots.

French restaurant
The Marc is an elegant restaurant offering a classic French menu in a contemporary setting with black-and-beige decor and the option for patio seating. The establishment prides itself on serving honest, fresh, and satisfying food within a casual atmosphere while providing smooth and professional service. The decor features soothing shades of black, white, and taupe complemented by sparkling pendant lights and a reclaimed marble bar, creating a relaxed ambiance.
Our first visit to The Marc was spectacular. I was a bit nervous about the dress code since I came straight from work and wasn’t exactly dressed up but the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The atmosphere was more easygoing and casual than expected. Now the food… absolutely phenomenal. Everything came out quicker than expected and tasted amazing. For appetizers, we had the lentil soup (highly recommend—super fresh and flavorful) and the crispy croquettes. But the mains were even better: a perfectly fried pork chop that made me forget I’m not usually a pork fan (I finished every bite), and a Croque Madame sandwich that tasted exactly like the one I had in France, complete with a fresh, crisp salad on the side. Top marks for service, food, and vibe. We’ll definitely be back.

Not the friendly welcome we are used to when Patrick & Doris owned it - no interaction with staff - staff more involved with each other than the customers. Food overpriced and no atmosphere. Service is poor, customer does not come first and the best seats in the room (end of the bar) are no longer available.

I had a great time at The Marc. The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish tasting fresh and delicious. The service was also wonderful. The lady who served our table was incredibly friendly and kind, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, The Marc is a fantastic place to eat, with amazing food and excellent service. I highly recommend it!

I was surprised to see this restaurant rated so highly—perhaps there has been a recent change in leadership? The pork pâté was hard and lacked flavor, though the croquettes were decent. I ordered the duck, a personal favorite, and was assured by the server that the chef recommended medium rare. Unfortunately, it was served medium well. The accompanying polenta cake was dry and burnt on one side, making it inedible. I would have mentioned this to the server or manager, but they were preoccupied with clearing tables and closing the patio. We were also celebrating our anniversary, which went unacknowledged. A simple “happy anniversary” would have been appreciated—no complimentary item expected, just a gesture of recognition that is standard in most establishments. With so many restaurants offering exceptional dining experiences, this visit was a major disappointment.

It has been 10 years since I was here so I completely forgot what it was like. All the good was kind of blah! No real flavour. My friend ordered the steak. It was cooked to perfection. She could only eat about half of it since there was so much grizzle. She got tired of having to gracefully remove pieces she couldn't chew. A week prior we were at a comparable restaurant in St. Albert. It is my all time favorite restaurant. Every dish was a treat to the tastebuds. My friend had their steak and it melted in her mouth. We were expecting similiar from the Marc and were greatly disappointed.

Our first time in downtown Edmonton, we decided to start exploring the downtown area to start out the day at this location. We reserved in advance and was greeted with very friendly ladies who quickly accommodated us in a big bright window seat. The seats are comfortable and the service was quick. The portions of our order was very generous and our palate was greeted with light, smooth, crisp, fresh, warm, delicious flavors that filled us up. The drinking water served was refreshing and clean tasting. This was a really nice start of our day.

This was a fantastic place to stop, and surprisingly affordable for how delicious & fancy the meals felt. I had the Flank Steak, lavender spritz, and the lemon tart for dessert during the lunch service. The staff were very friendly, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was quiet. The place seemed to be filled with business folk gathering for lunch meetings or old friends dressing nicely for a much needed catch-up. The steak was a tender medium rare, the arugula salad was refreshing, and the frites were perfectly crispy. I couldn't help but nearly inhale the meal with how delicious it was. The lavender spritz was so good, I got two of them and asked for the recipe. It's a simple drink, but doesn't overshadow your food due to it's simplicity. I finished the meal with the lemon tart and really took my time to enjoy it with a cup of tea. The cream they serve it with cuts the sharp lemony flavour perfectly.

Insane service. Our servers name was Alana and she was great! Everyone was so polite and people came to check on us constantly - evening filling our bottled water for us when they saw our cups were empty. The meat was really tasty and there were a ton of a variety going around. Definitely recommend, made our anniversary super special:)

Although we had very little interaction, the service was great! The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. It wasn’t busy at all on a Saturday morning so the cooked meats came out right away and we didn’t have to wait long for different cuts. The self serve/buffet was great, fresh and tasty. The eggs and French toast were amazing! All the meats had great flavour but unfortunately some of the meats were very tough and chewy. The garlic steak sirloin was perfect and the chicken drums were awesome! I found it to be a bit pricey for what we ate…$52 on weekends. I will definitely try this place again during the week for dinner as they have more meats to choose from compared to lunch.

Nestled in the historic McLeod Building at 100 Street & Rice Howard Way, Woodwork is a cozy yet trendy restaurant that beautifully marries southern U.S. barbecue with French culinary influences. This gem of Edmonton specializes in seasonal wood-fired dishes, all expertly prepared on their custom Grillworks grill. The ambiance is relaxed and refined, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant on a particularly frigid evening with temperatures reaching -37°C. Despite the cold, we were warmly welcomed, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The meals were quite satisfactory, with my husband particularly enjoying the ribs and the Whisky Sour. He mentioned that the Whisky Sour closely resembled one he had at The Plaza in New York, which speaks volumes about the skill of your bartender, Alec. His rich knowledge and expertise certainly enhanced our visit. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Lynne, whose warm and energetic personality made a lasting impression. She thoughtfully arranged our seating to accommodate our baby’s carrier, ensuring we were both comfortable and well-cared for throughout the meal. The ambiance of your restaurant was wonderfully relaxing, especially considering the extreme temperatures outside. It was a welcome retreat, and we look forward to returning in the future. Thank you once again for the excellent service and memorable experience.

It was very atmospheric. At first I thought that the cocktail was too small for such a price, but after one sip I realized that these are the most delicious cocktails I have ever drunk! I liked that everyone was dressed in the same uniform. Everyone was friendly. Also special thanks for replacing my fry potatoes because it was spicy for me. Of the minuses, it’s very noisy here.
Ольга Д — Google review
Their website describes it as a “cozy restaurant with a hip vibe serving seasonal, wood-fired dishes & barrel-aged spirits.” Let me start by asking: why is it so dark in here? Cozy is one thing, but this feels closer to nap-time vibes. And while we’re at it, why is it so loud? Between the music and the chatter bouncing around, it made the place feel busier than it actually was. A little sound dampening would go a long way. Visually, the vibe is cute and cozy, but the noise level really throws it off. Also, $200 for a market cut Wagyu steak—are we sure this isn’t the U.S. market? Food Brussels Sprouts Elote: Fantastic. Cooked well, with a good amount of char. The chipotle lime aioli and feta added the perfect balance, and the slight sweetness pulled it all together. Highly recommend. Steak Frites: Fries were excellent—super crunchy and flavorful. The salad was forgettable. The beef itself was flavorful, mushrooms cooked perfectly, but unfortunately, the steak was closer to medium-well than the medium-rare I asked for. Still good, just not quite right. Snake River Pork Chop: Very tender and tasty. The pork was the star. The veggies, though, were unmemorable and didn’t add much. Sticky Toffee Pudding: Delicious. Rich, sweet, and absolutely worth ordering. Drinks Fleur de Lune: Smooth, fruity, and balanced with a slight kick at the end. The dragon fruit really came through. Pomme d’Or: Light and refreshing, starting with citrus and finishing with a kick of cinnamon. Both cocktails are worth trying. Service Service was friendly and attentive, though the mains came out a bit slower than I’d like. Nothing deal-breaking. Other Notes It was uncomfortably hot inside, even on a cool September evening. The dress code for staff is basically non-existent, which doesn’t match the atmosphere they seem to be going for. Prices are high, but that’s expected for this kind of “experience” restaurant. Overall Woodwork is worth checking out for the experience, especially the brussels sprouts, desserts, and cocktails. The noise, heat, and a few small missteps hold it back from being amazing. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back, but I wouldn’t tell someone not to try it either.

Wonderful little restaurant/ bar. The drinks are top notch & trendy. The bread pudding was the best bread pudding I have ever had. Recommend.
Nestor D — Google review
We visited Woodwork on a Tuesday evening around 6pm with a reservation. I wish I could rank this higher but my husband and I were so physically uncomfortable because of the poor HVAC, it was unbearably hot inside. It must have been 30+ degrees inside. The food was actually amazing, possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Fries were perfect and the brussel sprouts as a starter were super tasty. Beautiful drinks and a massive drink menu to choose from. The server was very helpful, kind and informative. He had a wonderful personality and was prompt and attentive. When we asked about the temperature, we were unfortunately told that because it's an old building it sometimes is hard to control. Because of this, I don't know if we would risk returning. Which is unfortunate, because it really was a lovely establishment without this issue.

Came here for a cocktail and was not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and front greeting staff are so lovely and welcoming. Had the Espresso Martini and it was definitely one of the best I’ve tried; It was strong but very great flavours and would highly recommend visiting if you are near by and want a drink. I would definitely like to come back to try their food as the menu looked great! Looks like a great date night spot.

The hostess at Woodwork was very friendly and did everything she could to accommodate our group to get seats despite being busy. The bartender was great and made delicious cocktail recommendations when asked and even let us try small samples of some of the liquors when we asked questions about them. Drinks weren’t cheap, but they were all very good for our entire group. The food was delicious (I had smoked olives and braised lamb shank) and the place had a great vibe. They even gave us some discount coupons as we were leaving for lunch if we returned. Would definitely recommend it as a place to check out

The Glass Monkey in Edmonton offers a modern and relaxed atmosphere, complete with an inviting patio. It's a popular spot for those looking to enjoy high-quality pub food and a wide selection of local draft beer and wine. The menu features delectable starters like mushroom soup and chicken wings, setting the bar high for the rest of the offerings.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful lunch here, and it exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was calm and elegant perfect for a mid-day break. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of fresh, balanced flavors. Service was professional, timely, and gracious. Whether you’re meeting for a business lunch or simply treating yourself, this place offers a touch of refinement that truly elevates the experience. Highly recommended.

It was a very enjoyable evening. I struggled whether to rate it 4 or 5 🌟. I had the wonton soup. It was excellent. Nice broth, but the wontons were *really* nice. The service was attentive but not intruding. The atmosphere is fine. It's not cheap, but the prices are fair, IMHO. We'll be back soon!

We wanted to give The Glass Monkey a try as we live in the neighbourhood. Service was friendly and the drinks were tasty. However, the menu and prices didn't really match our experience. The menu started with fresh new dishes and cocktails, then more beverages and cocktails, then featured dishes, followed by regular dishes with lots of repetition and overlap. My dish did not come as described on the menu (without prawns to go with the scallops) and I could understand how that could happen with the somewhat eclectic range of menu they were working with. The order was rectified but our meals were overall just okay, especially for the price paid. Would go again for cocktails and maybe appies but we weren't too inspired by our visit. Hoping for a revamp as it would definitely be a good location for us.

The strangest “salad” I’ve ever been served? It was a head of Romaine lettuce that we had to cut ourselves. Really weird. And didn’t really taste special either. Kind of overpriced considering I had to cut the lettuce myself on a plate that was too small- and the chicken breast was an extra charge and came served on a separate plate. I’ve included a photo for your reference (and amusement). The service was good though. It’s got a cool gastropub interior/ambiance so maybe the bar is better?

We took our family of 6 here for our anniversary. We have frequented the restaurant many times over the years. The menu is very limited compared to the previous owners but the old menu is still on the web site. Very disappointing. The butter chicken was good ( which is the only reason for 2 stars) but the “fresh” choice I had was not. It was greasy and lacked flavour. The worst part was the service. The restaurant wasn’t full. We had been there 15 minutes before someone came and asked us if we had seen a server yet. And it didn’t improve from there. The Glass Monkey was never an inexpensive restaurant and the new owners seem to think they can charge the same prices for substandard food and service. Because there were 6 of us, there was an automatic gratuity of 20%. We have no issue paying 20% when we get good service but last night we did NOT get good service. It’s too bad that we won’t be back to what was once a great neighbourhood place to frequent.

I have a severe peanut allergy and had their spicy won ton soup. No mention of satay or nuts so thought it was safe. When I called back the next day they initially said they didn’t think there was nuts. Then talked to the GM and he said the same thing. He called back and said the broth that came out of a box indeed had nuts. Glad he was honest and hope they now have made notes in the menu.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Pretty restaurant and nice patio. The service was excellent. A great selection of wine and beer. For starters we had mushroom soup and chicken wings. The mushroom soup was delicious and flavourful. The S&P chicken wings were just slightly undercooked for my taste but they were juicy and had a nice crisp to them. I loved the fact that the carrots served were fresh juicy and crispy. Not old carrots as so often is served. For mains we both had Halibut with veggies, and rice. The halibut was lovely, well seasoned and fresh tasting. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the rice was light and fluffy. But for 43 dollars a plate I really would have liked a little more… wow. The bread pudding was rich, sweet, moist, and my favourite part of the meal. Not always a dessert person but I was glad I ordered this one. So yummy!

Café Linnea is a delightful gem nestled in the historic Alberta Block Building, offering a unique blend of French-inspired farm-to-table cuisine. This spacious eatery boasts an airy ambiance filled with natural light and modern decor, making it an inviting spot for brunch or lunch. The menu features delectable dishes like brioche French toast and croque madame, all crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
3rd time coming for their prix fixe menu on Tuesday evening, usually the menu is incredible looking but the main dish was meatloaf and didnt look like it would satisfy any cravings. We opted to get a bunch of appies and dessert and oh my lord, they were phenomenal! Will be coming back for the fixe menu and also occasionally for the appetizers. Pro tip: they sell loaves of their insane food sourdough bread. Pick some up on the way home!

Café Linnea provides a cozy eclectic experience. Beautiful building, upbeat music playing, good space between tables. The service is great. Friendly people, who explain the meals and beverages in good detail. Funny staff, and hard working culinary chefs make each meal with intricate detail. It looks like everyone has a good time serving you. The menu was amazing. Going with a group of people allows you to see and taste a variety of French inspired meals. Each appetizer and meal was flavorful and full of culture. The desserts (partnered with the Duchess) is not less than magnificent. Edmonton is blessed to have a venue like this.

I went for the monthly high tea - I enjoyed the food, which was expertly prepared, and the tea was perfectly steeped, with many nice choices. The experience was diminished by a draft that left me feeling cold, however, and we were uncomfortably close to the table next to us. I understand that the tea sold out, but there were two empty tables to my left the entire time we were there. Given the staggered seating times, staggering the seating would have made more sense.

Make a reservation as this place gets really busy! Lovely atmosphere, cute decor, and tasty food (although it didn’t blow me away). Service could be a little friendlier and less curt, but it might be because they were so busy.

Food was delicious. Service was amazing. Very personal and fast. Loved the ambience. There is a bit of a wait. But its worth it! Went for dinner also and the food menu was different and very delightful. Kelsey you are an excellent food artist! Thank you!

Went to Cafe Linnea for breakfast. There are many good points, like the bacon being soft and tender, and the sauces they use. My only regret was that the crepe was cold when it arrived. It was filled with bananas which was delicious, just wish it was a little warmer. Overall great ambiance.

We went there on a Saturday, it was busy but we didn’t have to wait in line to be seated for a long time. The food was good, hot, fresh, delicious, and decent amount. The atmosphere and design is GREAT. I loved how they have plants in middle. The servants were just ok, the check table and make sure everything is ok, but they are not nice and friendly.

Visited Cafe Linnea for their Canadian themed High Tea in July and had a great time. The ticketed event offers a modern twist on the afternoon tea spread, with many locally sourced and home grown ingredients, and friendly staff. They accomodated my dietary requirements without any problem The atmosphere is bright and calm, with lots of natural light and greenery. Will definitely be back!

Ragazzi Bistro Italiano, formerly known as Pizza Boys, is a beloved Edmonton establishment with a rich family legacy of creating exceptional pizzas. Since the 1970s, the Mazzotta family has been introducing authentic Italian and New York-style pizza to the area.
Excellent food and experience. from the first step through the door to the final one leaving it was a great dinning experience. Friendly, welcoming and very tasty. Menu had variety of flavours that you don’t always see and was very enjoyable. Must try

This Italian restaurant is close to my work, decided to try it out with a colleague. The food was too salty, I ordered a sandwich with salad, my colleague ordered a pasta. We both think they were super salty, maybe we ordered the wrong dish of the menu. The restaurant is old, could use some renovations, new tables , chairs would help. The bathroom needs lots of improvement. The service was good, our waitress was friendly and attentive, came back a few times to check how we were doing or needed anything else.

Sep 19 Edit: maybe change the hours on the store front if your closing between lunch and dinner! Finally got a chance to check out Ragazzi Bistro! Had a 12" pizza that was very tasty and generous with the fresh toppings which is always refreshing. Reminds me of that old school pizzeria style. Not quite Neapolitan but really good crust and mix of flavors. The more buttery stringy mozzarella that you don't see much anymore except in these more trad places.
David B — Google review
Ragazzi is a more well established pizza establishment on Whyte Avenue further east nearer to Millcreek. In bygone days, this was a newer pizza outlet in the city recognized as one of the best in the city. Today, there have been an influx of many newer pizza stops so Ragazzi is often forgotten. But it is still a great stop for those looking for a great pie. Our food was wonderful. Simple with great flavors. Our server on this night was so incredible. Very positive and cheerful. The space is a bit older now so it has some character. Darker with a classic feel. 4 x 🍕🍕🍕🍕

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing family dinner at Ragazzi Italian Restaurant! The food was made of good quality ingredients .The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home with their friendly and attentive service. It was a lovely experience for my family. Highly recommend Ragazzi for anyone looking for great Italian food and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

We were there celebrating two birthdays. I LOVE pasts, but the sauce wasn't that great. Next time i will order the Veal. Those in our party, LOVED the veal. The swrver was amazing and the restaurant was really quaint.

How good is this place? My people, I don’t even really like Italian 🤣🤣. Also Martina was our server and she killed it! Give her a raise!!!!!! Absolute banger of a spot eat at. You will be asking “how is the crust better then the pizza?” No for real, this is my favorite pizza crust that you can mess with. Got medicated good before we came today and this did not disappoint. Per usual we come as soon as the doors open so we beat the rush because it’s always packed in the evenings. I got the N.Y. Spice with extra topping and by the gods be damned! Has to be one of the, if not the best cheese pizza in Edmonton. The girlfriends pasta I always have to dive into.. it has such a delicious taste that you will want to keep going back for more. To have the pasta with the pizza is a real treat. We open the meal will with the meat balls and that’s another winner. Followed by the bread with balsamic dip

I picked up lunch here, my first experience here. Wanted to keep it simple in case it wasn't great - had the rigatoni Bolognese and it was delicious! My pasta also came with a fresh dinner roll, all in all far beyond my expectations. Will be coming back soon for dinner.

Malt & Mortar, located on Whyte Avenue, offers a diverse selection of Alberta and British Columbian draught beers in a modern gastropub setting. The rotating taps feature specialty tea cocktails, whisky, and wine. While some main dishes are pricey, the shareable items are reasonably priced. Customers have praised the yam fries with dill dip and deep-fried pickled chips but found the jalapeno poppers to be average.
Nice friendly service. The Nachos was yummy and the serving is huge. Sweet Potato fries was fresh and yummy too. Will come back to try more of their food. We only had a light meal and a beer. Not to forget this is a very nice place to hang out so relaxing.

We went for drinks on a holiday weekend afternoon. The place wasn't too packed, we were sat right away. The waitress was very polite and checked in frequently. I had the chicken and waffles. It was delicious! Opt for tater tots as your side instead of fries, you won't be disappointed.
Darren R — Google review
The price for some food was expensive for main dishes but for some items was really cheap for what you got (mosly the shareables). The yam fries were really good, especially with the dill dip. Deep fried picked chips were amazing. Jalapeño poppers were average and thought there could be mlre to it. However for a busy Canada day night on a weekend we were sat within 2 minutes. The restaurant was very nice, our server and person who sat us were friendly. Our drinks and food were made fairly quick. When we did finish our drinks the server was back quick and got us another one. Had zero complaints and was quitw surprised with this restaurant. The bathrooms were downstairs, a little confusing to find but were renovated and very nice. They also had a handicap elevator for disabled people to get down to. Would definitely recommend this restaurant! Haven't tried other food yet which may affect the stars but service overall made a great experience.

Celebrated my bachelorette party in this nice spot in Whyte Ave. We loved their wings, poutine and yam fries! It was delicious! The waitress was great and easy to talk to, gave us some recommendations for drinks, my sister however did not like hers and she was kind enough to take it off on our bill. It was worth the money and I had a great time.

Great spot. The menu has great options, and the service is great. If the Oilers are playing, it will be on live. I like kick in my food, but for most, it would be a 5. The Caesar salad I had was above average, and that's always a good thing.

I am a vegetarian, for me the food was okay. Cannot say anything about Non-vegetarian food. I ordered Jalapeno Poppers and Nachos, they could have been better. A bit expensive too. But the staff and everyone who attended us were really nice and courteous. They made our dinner amazing.

Nachos were really loaded with stuff but I wish there were more chips. The tuna was a little over cooked for my liking so tasted more like canned tuna. Drinks were fantastic tasted really good and exactly what we wanted. Service: fantastic service! Our server was very friendly and helpful. The Butternut Tree is a rustic-modern restaurant in Edmonton that showcases seasonal Canadian ingredients and local wines. Chef Scott Downey's focus on making vegetables the star of his dishes, alongside meat and seafood options, has made this spot popular for special occasions. The dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a beautiful setting for enjoying quality food and drinks.
Had a wonderful experience with my daughter on Saturday evening. The food was amazing. We each had the beef tenderloin and it was done to perfection. Isabelle, our server, was awesome - very friendly and knowledgeable. The view from our table by the window made for a pleasant fine dining experience. Definitely will be back!

We were married at The Butternut Tree in May 2025 and couldn’t have chosen a better venue. Samantha and the entire team were incredible. They were highly organized, kind, and completely committed to making our day run smoothly. From planning to cleanup, everything was handled so seamlessly that we were able to just relax and enjoy every moment. The food was absolutely spectacular. We chose a tasting menu, and our guests are still raving about it months later. The cocktails were a huge hit too, the Alpine Meadow and mojitos were especially popular. Our late-night snack of poutine and churros was perfect (the churros were unforgettable!). The venue itself is beautiful, with natural light and stunning views of the Legislature. Having both the ceremony and reception in one space made the day so easy for us and our guests. What really set The Butternut Tree apart was the care and attention to detail. The team flawlessly executed the decor, were thoughtful with our guests, photography team, and officiant, and we even used the in-house pickles and preserves as game prizes! We are very grateful to Samantha, the Chef, and the whole team for helping make our wedding day magical. If you’re looking for an intimate venue that combines incredible food, beautiful views, and exceptional service, this is the best place in Edmonton to do it.

We had an exceptional experience at The Butternut Tree. Despite being very late due to unexpected roadblocks, the staff were incredibly gracious and accommodating, they seated us promptly and ensured we were still able to enjoy the full tasting experience without feeling rushed. Service throughout the evening was outstanding. The team was attentive, friendly, and checked in often, striking that perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. The ambience was elegant and inviting, upscale without ever feeling pretentious. We chose the tasting menu, which was beautifully balanced and well worth the price. Our standout dishes were the trout, scallops, broccolini, and beef, each thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavour. We also ordered the beef tartare as an add-on, which was absolutely divine and a must-try for anyone visiting. A special touch that really stood out was the complimentary prosecco offered when we arrived, a kind gesture that made us feel truly cared for. The featured white wine pairing (Ritchie-something) complemented the tasting menu wonderfully. Overall, The Butternut Tree delivers an exceptional dining experience, refined, thoughtful, and distinctly Edmonton. Highly recommend, especially for anyone who values excellent service, warm hospitality, and memorable food.

The Butternut Tree was a dream wedding venue to work with. The setting is beautiful, and needs minimal decorations. The food and drinks were the most important part to us and they were executed amazingly. The service during the event was top notch. The planning process was very smooth, organized and fun! I really appreciated how quickly Samantha would get back to us about questions throughout the planning process. The set up and take down services were ideal for us, every little detail was taken care of and our friends and family were able to also enjoy and relax the entire day as well. We do not have anything we would change about our experience having our wedding at The Butternut Tree and we would recommend it to any couple who is seeking a elevated intimate wedding venue.

First, the negative: Parking is a nightmare. Give yourself time to park along the street or take an uber. I wish it was more convenient to drive there. Second, the positives: The food is delicious, the servers are friendly & fabulous, and the atmosphere is amazing. The views you get from the windowed walls are spectacular. They also have a private dining room that can comfortably fit 12 people and is a great options for business meals or intimate celebration events. I did enjoy the food, although I do think it is overpriced for what you get. I didn't love every single item we ordered, but enjoyed most of it. I do wish there were a few more options for meals to order, but I believe the chef adds/rotates the menu each season. They have a fabulous drink selection and the servers are very knowledgeable in that area. It is wheelchair accessible, but would be a bit of a journey to actually get inside (re: parking nightmare and then navigating a steep ramp and elevator, etc.)

My husband and I chose The Butternut Tree for our wedding venue in September 2023 after going for a dinner there. Our wedding was July 2025 and the whole process was absolutely perfect. Their coordinater Samantha was very communicative without being overwhelming. Day of they absolutely met all our of expectations with set up, switching between ceremony and reception, and over all just amazing service ! The biers for the background of our ceremony were lovely, the space was great for the ceremony of 50 seated guests. The food was absolutely perfect for our reception, the staff were friendly, the bartenders kept the line going quickly. From getting to curate your own menu to the little touches they add I can not recommend them enough. They accommodated all dietary restrictions our group had & communicated thoroughly to guests about their needs. We have also been for dinner a couple times and we have always been so pleased with our time there !

We just finished the tasting menu with wine pairings at the Butternut Tree ,and it was fabulous. Wonderfully prepared food, relaxed atmosphere and our server Luke, was phenomenal. Bauernschmaus is a hidden gem located in an industrial area near Argyll Road, offering a cozy and authentic Austrian dining experience. The interior is adorned with warm colors, wooden furnishings, and vintage farm tools that create a charming atmosphere. The menu features hearty Austrian comfort food, with every entree accompanied by a starter salad and freshly baked buns with butter. While the prices may be on the higher side, the exceptional service and inviting ambiance make it worth a visit.
We’ve enjoyed this authentic restaurant for at least 40 years now. The food is so awesome , so consistent, fresh and piping hot! The meal came with buns, and crisp greens with the best dressing. Our server was awesome too, very attentive.

I've visited this place several times around Christmas over the past 5 or more years. We're usually celebrating my dad's birthday. It's always fantastic. It's nice to have a great beer, schnitzel, salad, and strudel for dessert. Always so enjoyable, a fantastic meal with great service at a great restaurant.

Easy parking and easy to find.....and find you should. This place is a gem.. one I am recommending to friends and co-workers. The exterior is fairly inconspicuous and belies a warm, welcoming interior with the right amount of mood lightening. I can't say it is an authentic Austrian interior of a town restaurant as I have never been to Austria. However, if you asked me to imagine such an interior, I would have to say it would hit pretty darn close. Wooden floors, wood furniture, quaint decorations. The service was exemplary. Very friendly, professional, happy to answer questions and make suggestions. Prompt as well. The food was excellent and alot more than I was prepared to eat. Salad was fresh, clean and nothing wilted. The dinner itself was well prepared, full of flavor and balanced. Fantastic sausage, red cabbage, potatoes.....just go here and discover one of your next favorite meals. Great place!

This used to be an awesome German experience. I come here for the authentic food experience. (German bred CA born) last visit was disappointing. They used to provide great rye bread and superb sour dough before your meal, now its just white bread bund. The Goulash used to be to die for, now its beef broth with a few pieces of meat, the flavor is still there but the body is gone. We went her for a special valentines dinner, but for the price $35+, there are other options. The ambiance is great as well as the service. The selection of German beer is aceptional as well. I'll probably go to Continental Treat for my next german fix

We finally made it out to this restaurant and I must say it's one of those restaurants that you might drive past everyday but not go into because it's not fronted to the road. Well if you're in the mood for some truly authentic Austrian/German cuisine and atm you should definitely go and check it out. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food is excellent and authentic, it's like eating in Germany again. The service was also very good and its great to see that they have German speaking staff working there. The food came out quickly and hot. They also have some gluten free offerings available and an exceptional assortment of schnitzel. Would recommend checking it out as a couple or a larger group so you can try different items in the menu.

King Noodle House Pho Hoang is a long-standing family-owned Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton, known for its authentic and delicious traditional Vietnamese noodle soups like pho and bun bo hue. With over 20 years of experience, this cozy and welcoming spot offers a taste of Vietnam to both locals and travelers. In addition to their flavorful pho, they also serve stir-fries, rice bowls, vermicelli bowls, and various sides.
Delicious, large bowls and yummy spring rolls! The $20 combo is a great deal for a large original pho, spring rolls, pork meatballs, and vietnamese coffee or pop. The service is straightforward and fast, but not super friendly. A great place for small groups and families looking for comfort food!!

I tried the $20 happy hour combo, which includes a large pho, a spring roll & grilled pork balls appetizer, and a Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. I got soup #22 with steak, flank, tendon, tripe, and beef balls. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the grilled pork balls were especially delicious. Heads up: this place is cash only, so come prepared!

Good soup, had the extra large number two with everything in it. Came out quick. Came on a Saturday there was plenty of parking on the side of the building. Lots of homeless people in the area but it's not their fault. It's the city Chinatown never used to look like this. But if you can look past it it's a great place to eat.

Best beef broth for pho, rich, clean, and full-bodied. My favourite place for pho in the city. Service is prompt, but I wouldn’t say friendly. Usually friendlier when I’m with my husband, but lukewarm at best when I’m by myself. Which is too bad because I’ve long admired the gentlemen’s epic moustache over the past 20 years. But hey, I come here for the food and to support local business. Bun bo hue and spring rolls are also excellent.

Nestled in the heart of Edmonton, The Buckingham is a vibrant hotspot that perfectly blends delicious vegan street food with an energetic atmosphere. This trendy venue boasts a lively dance floor and hosts live music, making it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind after a long week. With its inviting outdoor patio, you can enjoy your meal al fresco while soaking up the local vibe. The menu at The Buckingham is a delightful surprise for both vegans and non-vegans alike.
This is our new favourite pub. My friends just moved to Edmonton and I came to visit and we knew we needed to find a pub to replace our old go to and boy oh boy did we find it. They are vegetarian/vegan and having the menu be 100% vegan is the best. Made it a seamless experience. I got the AYCE Corn Dogs for $10 and had three. I also got the tempura green beans which were AMAZING. My friends had a specialty dog and wings and were in blissed out heaven. I also got the Mayhem Marg which proudly supports TESA and the delicious pink pony punch. Amazing price on everything and huge portions! Great energy, lots of space, super fun decor, and awesome staff. Great place to catch an Oilers game and we can’t wait to make this our regular spot whenever I’m in town. Great experience!

Initially, I was excited to hear about this restaurant - Edmonton NEEDS vegan food places like this. Unfortunately, the execution is not all there. The signature fried chicken is tough to get through. Through the portions are generous, the chicken is basically dense blocks of seitan that are lightly seasoned on the outside. The recipe needs improvement if it is going to establish itself as a destination for “vegan street food”.

Not really ideal for seating when it comes to live music. Staff could’ve been a little more welcoming.. that being said, bar had a stellar patio, great artwork and all around great vibe. All 3 bands were stellar. Something old school about it. I’d go back for the atmosphere. I’m sure it’s great otherwise. Hard to explain. I know I’m not selling it, but, something makes me feel like I’d go back for sure.

Best vegan poutine in Alberta. Their pickle poutine was awesome. The burger had a good char and the veggies were fresh. I never thought I would get to eat brioche again but theirs was buttery and soft without any animal products. The prices were very reasonable. I went during happy hour and spent about $26 for a burger, poutine, beer and a Caesar. It was very quiet in the early afternoon. I haven't been at night yet but their food was so good I want to check out a show one of these days. They had the balcony area opened up since it was nice weather, and it was lovely eating over Whyte Ave.

“Inclusive” in name only — a deeply humiliating and Kafkaesque experience I went to Buck expecting a safe, inclusive space — instead, I left feeling humiliated, harassed, and misrepresented in ways that have continued to affect me. I’m a former employee of this company at a sister bar, and my experience here was utterly discrasful. I was there with a close female friend and coworker, joking and blowing off steam after work — yes, we use coarse language with each other, but it’s part of how we relate, and it was mutual, consensual, and lighthearted. Early in the evening, I used the men’s washroom (which I later learned is labeled as gender neutral — the signage was minimal and unclear). While using the urinal, a woman stood behind me and watched me urinate. Startled and uncomfortable, I reflexively said, “wrong washroom,” and was immediately berated for not understanding the space was gender neutral. I wasn’t trying to police anyone’s identity — I was reacting to a basic violation of privacy. My discomfort was completely dismissed. Later, a patron across the bar overheard me joking with my friend and began loudly accusing me of being disrespectful to women. The staff quickly took their side without asking for context. I tried to explain — we were joking about work, and my friend was not only fine with it, she initiated much of it. But I was told I was being inappropriate and threatened with removal. My friend even tried to clarify with the staff, but they didn’t believe her. From then on, I felt watched, judged, and unable to speak without being attacked — as if I’d been assigned a role in a story I didn’t write. It was surreal and deeply distressing. I later learned that staff at the bar now believe I’m in an abusive relationship with my friend. That false narrative is devastating — not only because it’s untrue, but because it’s being spread by people who never once asked for the truth. This bar presents itself as a progressive, inclusive space. In reality, it felt like the opposite — a place where assumptions override facts, where inclusion only applies if you conform to an unspoken code, and where expressing discomfort (even around basic bodily privacy) gets you labeled as the problem. If this is how The Buck treats guests — especially those who don’t fit a narrow mold of “acceptable” behavior — then it’s not truly inclusive. It’s just performative. I left feeling silenced, violated, and erased. And I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

The Art of Cake, located in the Brewery District Downtown of Edmonton, is a renowned bakery and cafe that has been serving delectable treats for over 30 years. The vintage setup and warm eclectic decor create a charming ambiance as soon as you step inside. Known for its high-end cakes, cookies, pastries, and custom-made creations, The Art of Cake offers an unparalleled sensory experience that combines artisan baking with a hint of nostalgia.
Posting about Red Door. Open only two nights a week but will leave you wanting more. Astrid, (one of the?) bartender(s) conjures up great one-of-a-kind drinks, on top of the already great selection of drinks on the menu. She makes every drink with passion and serves them with a twinkle in her eyes and a genuine smile on her face. Jeremy, the owner is humble, approachable, and is a great chat! A hole in the (Art of Cake’s) wall, one can have their cake and eat it too and partner it with unforgettable libations. My favourite is their espresso martini! I still dream about it every so often.

I got my birthday cake from here, and it was a lovely experience. The decor and atmosphere are charming—it really gives off the cozy vibe of a British tea house. They also seem to host special events on weekends, which adds to the charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The cake itself was delicious, though a bit too heavy on the cream for my taste.

Our wedding cake was beyond anything we could have imagined—absolutely stunning and truly the star of the night. The moment it was brought out, the entire room gasped, rushed in for photos, and it created one of the most unforgettable moments of our wedding. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was also delicious (as we knew it would be). Every detail was remarkable and went above and beyond our expectations, and the care, service, and kindness from the whole team made the experience so special from start to finish. If you’re looking for a cake that’s both breathtaking and delicious, look no further—this is the team to trust!

I just enjoy visiting the store though it's far from my house. There's something magical about the atmosphere that calms you when you enter. The quaint decor is quite pleasing to the senses. The service is great, and the cakes taste so nice as well. My goto for cakes anytime!

I purchased this cake for my wife’s birthday after reading several great reviews for The Art of Cake and noticing the high Google rating. We have a big sweet tooth so we were pretty excited to try this place out. The flavor I purchased was the Lotus cake. The cake taste is not bad but the texture is off and doughy. The cream was lacking and doesn’t have much depth to it; basically tastes like whipped cream. We were very unimpressed with everything despite paying a premium for this cake. On top of that, I am very certain that The Art of Cake uses Betty Crocker cake mix to make their cakes. I cannot recommend this place and would be best to avoid it altogether. The staff were friendly and polite but for some reason, I was asked to tip the staff for a cake that was purchased to take home. It left me confused and baffled.

The aesthetics of this place are mesmerizing. It is located in a secluded place. But each element of the decor is a separate story. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Coffee and desserts (large selection) are delicious. There are several halls and each of them is amazing.

I recently hosted a high tea for 18 of my friends, and I can’t thank The Art of Cake enough for making it such a memorable event! The food was nothing less than fantastic—each item was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. My guests were in awe of both the taste and the stunning visuals of the treats. The team was incredibly accommodating with all of my requests, and the person I communicated with via email was absolutely amazing. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made the planning process a breeze. Customer service was exceptional, matching the high quality of the food. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I highly recommend The Art of Cake for anyone looking to elevate their event with exquisite food that will impress all your guests.

The name speaks for itself, I cannot tell you enough how sublime the cakes are here. What makes everything so much more sweet is the service and how warm and lovely every single person who works at this establishment are. When I say there is no other place to grab a Coffee, Cake or an exceptional high tea experience this is your place. My husband and I had our gender reveal here and I wouldn’t have changed anything about it. Tears were flowing and it was a magical experience all because of how The Art Of Cake made the day so perfect. I am looking forward to coming back and I already know where we are getting our son’s first birthday cake. I would recommend this place to anybody, you will never get better service and the most decadent cake anywhere else. You are perfection. 🩷✨

Yelo'd Ice Cream & Bake Shoppe is a cozy and vibrant establishment that specializes in soft serve ice cream and baked goods. This small, well-lit store offers a range of Filipino-inspired flavors, creating a distinct and authentic experience for customers. Run by a dedicated husband and wife team, the shop prides itself on handcrafting their delectable ice creams that reflect their Asian heritage.
The signature icecream at Yelo’d is their ube (purple yam) icecream. Comes in either soft serve or scooped icecream. Had the scooped icecream as I wanted to try their pandan flavour as well. The ube is their signature for a good reason. Tastes really deep with the sweet potato fragrant and at the same time not that sweet for an Asian inspired icecream (which is perfect for my taste). I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in a mood for some more ube icecream!

Large selection of very unique ice cream flavours. Super hard to decide. But with double scoop, it allows for multiple flavours to try and share!! Got the strawberry milk tea with cereal milk. Loved them both. The other double scoop was Filipino rocky road and buwan mist cuz the kids loved the colours of it. Surprisingly both very tasty as well. Very creamy ice cream. Warning that it is not nut safe.

If you're stuck in Whyte Ave on a sweltering summer day, this place is the bomb, filled with a fun atmosphere, friendly staff and enough ice cream flavours to make your taste buds do the happy dance. Rocky Road for him, Matcha Oreo for me - and boy, did I hit the jackpot! It was seriously the best matcha-flavoured ice cream I've ever had.

Every flavour was absolutely amazing!!! I can’t even with this place. Super love. The vibe the ambiance, service was amazing! You can try any flavour and there is also baked goods as well that are amazing!!! Tried every flavour and really amazing calamansi! My favourite! There are different flavours as well on certain days so we tried them all! Went there 3x in the week couldn’t get enough! And proud to support Filipino community! Will go back again and again! My fav and go to ice cream shop!

As someone who is lactose intolerant; finding an ice cream place where I have one option is a rarity. Finding a place that has multiple AND they're not all just fruit flavored is like striking gold. This place is ALWAYS busy - for good reason. Their ingredient freshness shows as they're not cutting corners. Their baked goods section and drinks they serve are immaculate. We had ice cream as well at the Ube Nanaimo bars with fancy coffee, and it was perfect. It's not too sweet and definitely hit the spot. Be prepared to wait, but the line moves fast and the service is excellent. They also have a rewards system where you can collect points and redeem them at a later date. Oh! And take home pints of ice cream, too. Mm. Ice cream 😊

La Petite Iza, a hidden gem that opened in late 2020, offers an intimate and romantic dining experience with a view of the river valley. Established by the same team behind Sugar Bowl, this restaurant promises excellent food and service. The patio at the rear of the building is a favorite feature, providing a charming setting for enjoying upscale bistro dishes and signature cocktails.
What a gem! La Petite Iza offers a beautiful twist on French cuisine — a little different, but in the best way possible. The flavors were unique, and every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. But beyond the food, what truly stood out was the entire experience. The view? WOW. Absolutely breathtaking — a true 10/10. The service was also top-notch, warm and attentive without being overbearing. And let’s talk about the vibe: the artistic ceiling and cozy atmosphere make it feel like you’ve stepped into a dreamy, stylish Parisian corner right here in Edmonton. An absolute pleasure from start to finish. Can’t wait to go back!
Teta M — Google review
We booked a dinner reservation for my birthday and this was our first time trying La Petit Iza. The decor is charming and romantic. We sat out on the terrace where we could enjoy the sunset and views of the valley. Our server, Marge (apologies if that's incorrect spelling) was amazing! Her energy and enthusiasm is top tier and we appreciated her candor when it came to selecting the food (the choices she recommended were delicious!) She seems very passionate about her job (and taking photos) and that is very admirable. I ordered the Passion D'amour cocktail because I am obsessed with Passionfruit, but honestly I would trust the bar tender, Ben, to make me anything. We ordered the Coq au vin, duck fat fries and Moules Marinières. All of them were delicious and decadent. I decided to order a crème brûlée (even though we could barely take another bite) and it was so creamy, full of vanilla bean flavour and the sugar top had the perfect crackle. My partner wanted an espresso martini but was too shy to ask so I brought it up to our server. She wasn't sure if it was possible but asked Ben (the bar tender). I don't think it is something they normally make and we were told the bar was too busy which was fine with us. Next thing we know, Marge brings out an espresso martini with our crème brûlée! Now THAT is going above and beyond. Thank you La Petit Iza for giving us an unforgettable dining experience! Special thanks to Marge and Ben who were the superstars of our evening. We will definitely be back!

Situated on the third floor, very steep stairs. The table was booked, but it was by the entrance, the waiter suggested sitting on the veranda, but eventually forgot about it. The interior is the first thing that captivates. The tables are very compact and there is little space. The dishes are quite acceptable in taste, the cheese set looked inelegant. The restroom is located on the floor below, on your way there you pass by the kitchen, where you can watch the cooking process. The staff is friendly, but the uniform looked unkempt.

10/10 experience! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect whether it’s a night out with friends or a date night. We got the scallops and fries (actually one of the best fries I’ve had) for appetizers, duck confit and halibut for main, and Profiteroles (MUST ORDER), lemon tart, and crème brûlée for dessert. Would 100% order all of these again! Unfortunately the bone marrow was sold out at 6:30pm 😭 must try that next time!
Sammy H — Google review
The food here was excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented. Service was also great, attentive without being overbearing. I’ll definitely be coming back. The views from the patio were amazing, but I do wish the tables were a bit higher or the patio wall a bit lower so you could enjoy them better while seated. It is on the pricier side, which is something to keep in mind, though not surprising for this restaurant. Overall, a great experience and well worth a visit.

La Petite Iza is an absolute gem. The food is nothing short of amazing—crafted with care, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between casual and elegant. On top of that, the service is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. From start to finish, the entire experience was top-tier. Easily one of the best dining spots in Edmonton. Highly recommend!

La Petite Iza continues to blow my mind 🤯 I brought my husband here for his bday dinner this week and every single item we ordered was phenomenal. From the flavourful escargot, to the rich and hearty beef bourgignon, this was truly a dinner to remember. The restaurant’s 3rd floor rooftop terrace overlooking the Edmonton skyline is one of the best in the city and really helps to create an outstanding dining experience. I could sit here for hours just admiring the view while sipping on wine. Please consider checking this local gem out for your next outing if you haven’t already. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Classic Western European feel. Nestled in a 3 story in Garneau. Fantastic French cuisine, over looks a stunning downtown skyline. Romantic yet vibrant. Fabulous server Margot, i couldn't fully get her name because of the French accent so I hope I got it right. Her food recommendations and champagne suggestions were on point. I just wish I ordered the creme brule when I ordered the mains cause they were 86ed when it was time for dessert.

This place is my favourite spot to go to for amazing cocktails, tasty, Fresh food and some of the friendliest service ever. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic as well. I can’t say enough good things about this spot. GO!!

Another great local establishment another great experience. I’ve been here before and I remembered it being good-tonight reminded me why. Although the name is French, they are not pretentious or trying to be, smaller plates meant for sharing in a cosy environment. That’s it simple formula, but you still have to execute. And they do. And you know why? Cause the owner is working in the room he expedited our food out to us not too many places still have this kind of passion in the city. Just a couple drinks tonight and two snack; devilled eggs, and the mini French dip. Wow, just look at the presentation on the eggs! Not not your parents or your grandparents 70s era cocktail party snack. And the French dip for two-it’s a meal really, and really well prepared simple simple ingredients. Overall . . . happy happy! will be back, will be back (yes I meant to repeat ). Big thanks to Abigail. Great service. Great discussion on local fair and local establishments.

Food is absolutely divine. Every biteful was packed with flavor. The breads they use are next level and nearly everything is scratch made in house. Service is a tad slow, but that's to be expected from a small restaurant. Will definitely be back.
Wesley H — Google review
Quaint and cute restaurant with bar seating too. The food is quality and medium size portions that might take longer than most due to the small kitchen and attention to detail but it’s worth it. The outdoor patio is a big step down in the classy atmosphere but is a decent, chill option on a not-too-hot summer day. Service is pleasant as well.

Just left Partake with nothing but good things to say! Our server and any other staff we encountered was genuinely, authentically kind. Customer service went above and beyond the usual. We had two allergies at the table between two of us. They were so well addressed. We sat outside on the patio and didn't have mosquito repellent. The staff dug up citronella candles and mosquito coils and made sure we were comfortable. This place is soulful. This place is a vibe 🙏🏽

Probably my favourite spot in Edmonton. It’s become the default date night for my wife and I. The food is always excellent, and the cocktails are innovative and delicious. I also love that they run cool specials from time to time. I’ve really been enjoying the steak frites on Sundays this summer. Excellent food, excellent cocktails, and professional staff. Can’t ask for more.

Hawaiian restaurant
Aloha Hawaiian Poke & Grill is a delightful new addition to Edmonton that transports you straight to the islands of Hawaii. With its vibrant decor featuring neon lights and lush greenery, this cozy eatery captures the essence of Honolulu. The menu boasts an array of Hawaiian staples, including chicken teriyaki and hula-hula dishes, alongside a variety of poke options that are fresh daily.
The food was VERY delicious! The huli huli chicken is a GEM as well as the double loco moco! It was sweet, juicy and tangy. Everything you want in a Hawaiian dish! The server was very honest and refunded us when there was an accidental charge, but help yourself with water up at the front!
Steven L — Google review
What a great find! Place maybe has 6 small tables. I imagine they get a fair bit of take out business. Service was excllent. Food, really darn good. Bursting with flavor. Well prepared. If you want some good Hawaiian food, this is a great place to try. Really pleased to find this place.
Jason O — Google review
The food was great, although we found it a bit expensive overall, as the portion sizes were quite small. The bulgogi was average, while the loco moco was good. The rice serving was also small—two scoops amounted to I think about ¾ cup of rice. The restaurant's dining area is quite small, and the exhaust system is poor. You leave smelling like food and smoke from the grill, and the space becomes very hot, especially after lunch, when the sun shines directly into the dining area. Spam and ground beef (used for the loco moco) are inexpensive, yet they price them like luxury items. Poke, however, would be understandable.
D F — Google review
Food was great! We got the spicy salmon burrito and it was DENSE. I was only able to finish half my burrito and had leftovers for dinner, also came with wonton chips. SPAM fries were good, came with some spam and some regular fries slightly too salty but I guess that’s to be expected.
Sophie A — Google review
I have only ever ordered from this place so I can’t give a rating on service or atmosphere but I’m sure it’s great. This is my all time favourite place to get poke. I always get the sweet and spicy salmon poke burrito and it is ALWAYS perfection. I think a great value as well only $20 and it’s HUGE, lots of salmon chunks and it even comes with a side of wonton chips . I love to put them on top of each bite adds an extra yummy crunch. I definitely need to try more items from this company everything sounds amazing and I’m sure it won’t disappoint. Seriously try the poke burrito tho it’s like a GIANT sushi roll. So delicious love this place

I was in Edmonton for work for two weeks and Aloha Hawaii Poke & Grill was my go to nearly every day I was there. The staff there are so friendly! The food is amazing as well. The spam musubi are great snacks and they taste just like how you would get them in Hawaii. The kalbi ribs have so much flavour and they are great cuts of meat too! All the different flavours of tuna and salmon pair so well with the different toppings. Would highly recommend!
Mario — Google review
If you're considering this place, stop and just go. Went here for lunch with my family, oh my lord what a decision. I'm a sushi guy, I love me some poke and rice, and this place is one of the best places in Edmonton for such dishes. I had the poke burrito, it was a giant sushi roll essential, served with wonton chips, and it was the happiest I have ever been eating at a restaurant. Very reasonably priced, the poke is fresh everyday and you can sample the different flavors they offer. I had the crunchy garlic poke and it was heaven. Silky smooth, slightly sweet, just the right amount of garlic. The whole restaurant has an intoxicating smell, once you step in, it wraps itself around you and immediately gets you hooked. The other dishes my family ordered were drool worthy, too. The pork belly and cashew chicken looked like a dish right out of a high end restaurant. If I could give an additional 5 stars to this review, I'd do it in a heart beat. I will most certainly be back! 10/5

Pizza restaurant
Artisti Pizzeria offers a pleasant dining experience with professional and attentive service. The atmosphere is bright, open, and wheelchair accessible. They provide complimentary water, chili flakes, and fresh Parmesan at the table. The pizzas are made with high-quality ingredients and are reminiscent of authentic Italian flatbread style. While some may prefer the crust at another establishment, Artisti's variety of flavorful options make it a compelling choice for thin-crust enthusiasts.
Firstly the server was very nice and professional. She came to check up on me multiple times and they leave a bottle of water a shaker of chilli flakes and a bowl of fresh Parmesan ready to go. The atmosphere is open, bright and clean. They even have a wheelchair lift for those who need to access the lower floor. Moving on to the food itself, they deliver it fresh and use great quality ingredients. The pizza seems very authentic and is a true Italian style flat bread pizza. The tomato sauce has a nice tang to and this is combined with the simplicity of a few toppings creating a delicious pizza. This restaurant seems very authentic and they don’t serve the fast food flavours like barbecue or donair, in fact they don’t even have Hawaiian. What they do have is a pizza made to enjoy each ingredient through its simplicity. Simple but effective. Lastly, their coffee is delicious as well. Imported from Italy it’s flavour is rich, smooth with a subtle notes of acidity. The quality of the espresso is very impressive. Overall very pleased with this place. Did I mention, UNLIMITED FRESH PARMESAN? :)

Very good Italian style pizza! Most similar Edmonton comparable would be Favoloso. Favoloso is my preferred for its crust, but Artisti has more enticing flavour options. If you are a thin crust fan, you will love Artisti, just like I did. Worth driving for!

My girlfriend took me here as a surprise and our experience was top notch. I can't say enough good things about this place. Our server, who happened to be one of the owners, was super friendly and very quick with everything. The menu had so much to choose from that it was almost overwhelming, and when we finally made a choice our food came out surprisingly fast. Right away we noticed the portions were huge, especially considering the price, and everything was delicious. If you want authentic Italian, this is the place to go. Even the music was Italian (unlike Famoso with their American pop music). We'll definitely be going back! One last thing, don't leave without ordering their tiramisu.
Derek B — Google review
Excellent service; open, modern, yet warm atmosphere. Lastly, and most importantly, perfectly cooked pizza that, while remaining traditional, seemed inventive, exciting and refreshing. Also, the crust was probably 2mm thick at most and was crispy and chewy at the same time. We wanted 3 pizzas even though we were full at 2. We were REALLY torn about not ordering a third. Like leaving a loved a one behind at the airport to go on their backpacking trip across Central America. But, like seeing a loved one after a long time apart, we will be back to Artisti to have that 3rd pizza. And maybe a 4th and 5th.

Korean restaurant
Hanjan Oliver is a popular Korean restaurant located in Edmonton, known for its cozy atmosphere and top-notch Korean comfort food. The restaurant is run by a mother-son duo and has outlets in three different neighborhoods, making it easily accessible to residents across the city. The menu features a wide range of dishes including Udon Noodles, Korean Fried Chicken, and Bibimbap. Customers can also enjoy happy hour specials and delicious desserts like the highly recommended honey butter bread.
I love everything about this restaurant! Parking was easy despite being central. The menus are beautiful and easy to understand with large photos and all the allergy information I needed. Staff came instantly after pressing the call button. And the food! Excellent presentation, very fresh, piping hot, and most importantly, DELICIOUS!! I don't dine out much since I have three little ones but I had a great time here. My kids loved the french fries, fried chicken, and ice tea. This was easily my favourite dining out experience in the last year. It took a blah day and made it a happy one.
Jonathan A — Google review
First time ordering here and honestly, never again. I was worried the portions would be stingy, so instead of doing half-half like most Korean chicken places offer, I ordered two full dishes. Big mistake. This place is a total rip-off. Not only are the prices ridiculous, but the portions are a joke. I got boneless Korean fried chicken in two separate flavors — Yangnyeom and Soy Garlic — and paid an extra $2.30 per flavor. You’d think for that price, they’d at least give a decent amount. Nope. What we got was pathetic. No sides at all — not even the usual tiny pickled radish every decent Korean chicken spot gives for free. And the chicken? Tiny, dry pieces the size of my thumb. Barely any in the box. I dropped over $50 with tip for this garbage, and it wasn’t even close to worth it. Total scam. Don’t waste your time or money here — this restaurant is trash.

I've always wanted to go to Hanjan but never had the time to visit for months. Now the stars had finally aligned and we came here right after an Oiler's watchparty. We arrived right before other people filled up the place so it was a little busy. I'm surprised at how much space and seating they have. At first I just saw 4 person tables but they led us to the other area where they had large tables for bigger parties. We had 9 people in our party and they seated us immediately. My boyfriend and I split the Bulgogi Fries and the Padak (Soy Garlic) Korean Fried Chicken. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. After one bite of the Bulgogi Fries, it was an immediate 10/10. The fries were crispy and had the perfect golden crisp + soft inside ratio. And don't even get me started with the sauce on top. The white sauce was light, and had the perfect combination of slightly sweet and savory. It was a wonderful aioli. And the veggies added were so good. The tomatoes and scallions added a nice freshness and slight acidity to the overall dish. Lastly the bulgogi was just *chef's kiss*. I don't really know how else to explain it other than the Bulgogi Fries were a well-balanced dish. We were scooping every single missed vegetable in the sauce after we demolished the fries. The Padak (Soy Garlic) fried chicken was so tasty. Whenever I get wings, my go-to is pretty much anything soy garlic, or anything included garlic. The fried chicken skin was the best part. Great texture, crunchy, crispy, wonderful flavor. It was a great blend of savory, umami, and garlic. And the green onions on top was a great addition. Portion size for both things we ordered was perfect for the two of us. Also, don't even get me started on the banchans. Great kimchi, radish kimchi was so refreshing, and that mashed potato side? Terrific. We asked for more banchan when we were done. Lastly, we came back the very next day to try the desserts. At first, I wanted to pick one dessert to share between me and my boyfriend but it was so difficult to choose one. So we got both lol. We ordered the Injeolmie Waffle, Honey Butter Bread, and tried some of my cousin's Strawberry Bingsu. The Injeolmi Waffle itself was delicious, sweet but not too sweet. The ice cream added that sweetness and the almonds on top were nice. And the Honey Butter Bread? Wow. The milk bread and the fresh whipped cream were fluffy, light, and not too sweet. I would go back again in a heartbeat. If I was in the neighborhood, I would be a regular. And when I give a place 5 stars, 5 stars to me means: take my money and I might dangerously spend too much of my paycheck here. Which is what I did, but no regrets. I will not stop talking about this place. 10's all across the board for me! Love you Hanjan.

We came here for a birthday gathering during the week. We made a reservation, but it wasn’t needed as it wasn’t that busy. There is a button on the table to press if you need assistance with anything, or to order. We got appetizers , main dish , and a dessert. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Food came out quickly.

Very disappointed with the takeout. The food was not fresh, the lettuce was rotten, and the portion size was really small. Definitely not worth the price. Won’t order again.

I had a wonderful meal there with a friend; we ordered so much food to share (panjeon, tteokbeokki, kimchi jjigae, and bebimbap, plus mango binsu for dessert) and all of it was delicious and warming on a chilly autumn evening, with gorgeous presentation. The service was excellent, and we spent several hours there enjoying the experience. I've tried a few Korean places in the city, but this was by far my favourite.

Fu's Repair Shop is a unique restaurant located at 10524 Jasper Avenue in Edmonton. The establishment offers a variety of dining options, including dim sum brunch and an extensive selection of small eats such as peach shrimp and tangerine meatballs. Additionally, the menu features a wide range of main dishes, including fried rice and noodles. However, what sets Fu's Repair Shop apart is its exceptional dumplings.
We came here on a Saturday night and made it just in time for food orders. We were a bit hesitant to order because the menu had no photos and it was difficult to follow because some foods had Chinese names and not very elaborate descriptions. We ordered most of the things off the late night menu and let me tell you... It did not disappoint! Literally every single thing we ordered was spot on and delicious! The flavours were perfect and we were so impressed with the quality. The prices were a bit high for what we got but honestly, it was worth the splurge to try what we had. The pork and shrimp dim sum was unreal with the truffle and flakes. My favorite I think was the noodle dish; had a nice sweet and spicy kick. The fried rice with shrimp was also a killer!! Unexpectedly the cheapest item, chive pancakes ($6) were surprisingly amazing and super savoury. I definitely recommend to come here for a late night drink and munch. Also as a bonus, beautiful interior and spotless bathrooms. Very chic and will be back next time when in Edmonton! Thank you for having us!

What a cool place to dine in! Decor and vibe are 5 stars. Food was deserving of a 4. Bao gochujang appetizer was so delicious and the dumplings too. Chow fan fried rice we ordered with braised beef was spicier than I thought but the Peachy shrimp was delicious. I wouldn’t order the man Tao dessert again, disappointing in flavour. Sachi, our server, was great!! Must try this place

I had a delightful dining experience here. The restaurant offers an authentic Asian atmosphere, from the décor and anime playing in the background to the thoughtfully curated drink menu and flavorful dishes. Everything came together beautifully, and I truly enjoyed my visit.

Went to Fu’s Repair Shop for my friends birthday party, and the 5 stars are all due to Devan’s amazing service. She was so patient and kind with our group of almost 20, was constantly ensuring we had all we needed, and was very gracious in helping determine what on the menu was allergy free for one of the group. She truly went above and beyond for us and she deserves all of the flowers. The food was slightly disappointing for me. I ordered the Shanghai Noodles and was anticipating a more savoury dish but it ended up being almost bitter tasting. However, the service and atmosphere made up for the tastelessness of the dish and I will come back again to try other items on the menu.

Trendy place, good food Cocktails are pricey, $15 for a tiny drink, but looks really amazing. Parking is hard, better uber if you are planning to drink. Pretty sure no free parking on the street. $2 per hour?

Made a quick stop for apps and drinks. Decent food and drinks. Ordered the truffle siu mai and soup dumplings. Unfortunately one of the dumplings lost all of it's soup 🥲 Feels a bit overpriced though.

My friends and I came to fu’s for a night out and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, the vibes were perfect, and everything just came together so well. A hugeeeee shoutout to our server, Solaya, she went above and beyond for us. She was super friendly, funny, and interactive the entire time, which made the night even better. You could really tell she cared about making sure we had a good experience. Thanks to her, the whole evening felt fun and relaxed. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time!

Caffè Sole is a charming family-owned café known for its specialty lattes, sandwiches, and churros. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor make it a favorite spot in the city. Despite experiencing a heatwave during one visit, the café remains a quiet place to read or study. The owner's warm welcome and the delicious food menu add to the appeal of this gem of a café.
Was quite stoked to find this cafe. Saw the outside sign and found it by the smell of coffee. I was severely under caffeinated and the barista understood me and had lots of patience while I worked through my coffee question and order. Got a flat white, liked the price, and liked the flavour. Woke up instantly and felt a pep in my step after my first sip. Took pics of the menu, the tiramisu looked tasty but the sandwiches caught my eye. I’ll grab one for next time! Looks like a nice place for a coffee catch up or to do some work. It’s a smaller place though, so be mindful of other patrons! Bonus: they have pottery for sale which looked beautiful.
Sabrina C — Google review
Very cute spot with some cute pottery for sale. Decent prices with dairy free options for beverages. Not sure the gentleman behind the till understood the difference in vegan and gluten free though as I was offerred something gluten free when I said vegan and had to confirm a few times no eggs, or dairy and I'm not convinced what I ordered was without dairy and eggs. Otherwise cute spot and polite staff.
Brittany G — Google review
I had their Mexican Mocha and the Figgy Jam sandwich (brie, fig jam, bun). They were both quite nice. The vibe in the cafe is also nice. Take some time to check out the selection of local pottery on sale lining the shelves.
GiantSnail — Google review
A favourite spot of mine that I frequent for a quick bite and caffeine hit. Cool, welcoming space which features work by local artists that you can buy. Fair amount of seating. Menu is really fairly priced and something different than the usual to the south central Edmonton area. I usually grab their iced viet coffee but tried their latte today and also got their mushroom pepper sandwich that I forgot the name of WHICH WAS DELISH WOW🙌🙌 Their lattes are a tad too milky for me but maybe I’ll try a flat white or something next time🔥

Lovely coffee shop nearby and the coffee is pretty good also. Lots of street parking and overall enjoyed coming to this coffee shop. Inside has a long table for big groups, and smaller tables for individuals trying to get some work done and some tables for smaller groups. Definitely will be back.

My search for the perfect churro is finally complete. Wow, Caffè Sole delivered! I came in for a coffee meeting and had to try their bagel egg sandwich (#9) it is absolutely divine with too large a portion for just me so I had to share. I picked the Caramel Latte for my sweet tooth and it was rich and creamy with a full inch of foam. I ordered the churros to go. I think there is over 40 of these mini tasty churros in the bag. It came with 2 dipping sauces (your choice.) I really enjoyed them and I will be back anytime I get a craving for Churros!
Sarah V — Google review
We ordered the white chocolate matcha, raspberry white mocha, roast shroom sandwich, and a small portion of churros. I can easily say this is my new favourite cafe in Edmonton. The drinks were delicious and large! The sandwich was perfect, a soft bread with a flaky crust, and nicely sautéed vegetables with melted cheese. The churros had a crispy texture and soft interior with a not-too-sweet dipping sauce. For what we got, the price was reasonable and the portions were filling (we paid ~$28 before tip). The customer service was impeccable and parking on the street was easy (and free). They brought our food to the table and took the plates away which is pretty rare at a café. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more items from their extensive menu!

Wonderful Mexican cafe run by great Mexican family. Very kind and genuine people. We loved the Spicy Chorizo sandwich (not spicy really). I had the Stela Latte (coconut flavour) and loved it. My wife loved her specialty tea (can’t remember what she had). Also tried the Flan for dessert - so good! Prices are better than most places too. We will be back!!

Nestled in a central location, Lee House Korean Restaurant offers a delightful escape into the world of traditional Korean cuisine. With its cozy and inviting atmosphere, this eatery is perfect for those looking to indulge in authentic dishes like bulgogi, noodles, and their famous fried chicken. If you're a fan of K-Dramas and have been inspired by the delicious meals showcased on screen, you'll find many of them here at Lee House.
Our server Jolie and Andrew was so nice and attentive. If this review was just about service this place would be 5 stars! But the food was EVEN better than the service!! It may be a buffet but they brought the hot items in small quantities so it was always fresh. The hot pot broth we tried was rich and flavourful and got into every bite of food we cooked in it. Loved the fresh fried chicken and the seafood pancakes. I can honestly say there wasn't a good in the buffet I didn't enjoy. BBQ items were also brought out cooked and had a great char flavour. Includes icecream and ice tea as well! Overall best value for an ayce I've had in Edmonton. I can't wait to come back.

Hot pot! First time eating from a hot pot. Nice raw buffet selection as well as a portion for cooked food. My S.O. was skeptical at first but definitely enjoyed it once he got a taste. Delicious!
Lina R — Google review
The food was excellent, as always. It was our first time trying the Rose broth for hot pot, and the combination of spicy flavors with cheese was absolutely perfect. We left feeling very full, but we’ll definitely be coming back for more. Panda was also very kind and friendly, and having Taylor Swift piano music in the background made the experience even better.

Nice decoration and atmosphere. Neighborhood isn't the greatest unfortunately. Food was good. Star of the show was the japchea. It has that nice wok smoke flavour on it, YUM! The KFC was boneless, so not the most tender. The side dishes are refillable, really nice kimchi, pickled raddish, beans prout salad and sweet potatoes cubes. They also have free ice cream for dessert! Chocolate and vanilla when I was here, still a nice benefit.

It was our first time here. We decided to try it as it came across my instagram feed one day. Ohh boy it didn’t disappoint. We had the creamy cheese soup base and it was delish. We have to try the other 3 soup bases. They have lesser options compared to other hotpot buffet places but it wasn’t bad. We enjoyed our experience. Just hard to find parking but not a deal breaker. The service from their staff is also great. Very welcoming. Always smiling. Always happy to help. Will definitely come back.

Me and my best friend came here to eat yesterday, everything tasted amazing and we were so full, the service is really top notch (panda was an awesome sever) really recommend their pork back bone stew it made my evening it was so flavourful, my bestie really enjoyed their sweet n spicy chicken in her words “just 10/10”. We will be back, it was a great evening.

Went here for an anniversary dinner and might I say it was delightful! The food was delicious, especially the cheese corn. That is a must if you come. The tofu stew was delicious as well. If you're on the hunt for delicious hummus in Edmonton, look no further than The Happy Camel. This charming establishment began its journey in 1998 when founders Gerald and Sara showcased their Mediterranean dips and salads at local farmers markets. Their popularity soared after they secured a permanent spot at the Old Strathcona market. At The Happy Camel, simplicity reigns supreme with an array of fresh salads, handmade pita bread, and traditional Mediterranean spreads that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
I bought gluten free pita from bountiful farmers market from happy camel.. We really like it. It’s so soft and tasty.

The first thing I immediately noticed as soon as I entered was a very unpleasant odour inside. There was no attendant at the front and despite ringing the bell it took a while for a short, stocky indian woman to come to the front. (Why is this place being run by indians when it's a Mediterranean bakery?!?) The prices are incredibly high and for the quality they provide, it's a rip-off. ($4 ice cream was the worst I've ever had...it seemed like made up of chemicals instead of milk). This was a first-time - and a one-time shopping for me.
Buland K — Google review
Used to have great gluten free pitas that we purchased every week at the farmer’s market. The last time we bought three packs and they were horrible, not the same at all. They are dry, cracked and don’t have a “pocket”. This is very sad because so many people enjoyed these and they have pretty clean ingredients. Was told that the reason is they have a new baker, but don’t they have the recipe? Anyways, very disappointed.
Christine F — Google review
The hummus is AMAZING 😋 I couldn’t have imagined hummus to taste so good and have such fresh ingredients. The owners here are my favourite. Definitely worth stocking up on some of this hummus , yum!
Logan H — Google review
I love this place, the people are always kind, and the Roasted Garlic hummus is my favorite I've ever tasted! It's often sold out tho, but every flavor they have is pretty good. The downside is, I always get the same thing, 2 packs of pitas and 2 hummus, and depending on who is working I have paid anywhere from $27-29.50 for these same items. Today I was charged $31. I asked for a stamp card as I just realized it was a thing, the gentleman gave me a brand new card and walked away hurriedly, without giving me a something to write my name on it or stamping it. So I left it on the counter, took my $31 purchase and left , unsure if I'll be back 🤷‍♂️

This place is top notch. Do not miss out. Gorgeous building, awesome interior done in a beautiful brick historic building, staff are second to none. You can really taste the high quality of the ingredients — everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and thoughtfully balanced. Lovely drinks, food and ambience. We came on a busy evening for dinner, but the server was able to accommodate us very quickly with bar seating. Couldn't have anything alcoholic as I was driving, their Golden Hour drink was fabulous. Definitely a bit of a premium on the price end but it was a good experience!

DOSC is a very contemporary bar/coffee house/ steak house! The restaurant is located downtown Edmonton. The building is architecturally beautiful and historic. (A wheelchair accessible entrance was not apparent) The coffee bar is fully prepared to make your favorite brewed beverages. The bar was tastefully decorated, offering all the "adult" beverages you could imagine. The have a great selection of wines and a nice eclectic variety of beers. The restaurant surrounds the room with plenty of seating choices. Window seats, secluded romantic seats, casual locations. The menu has a nice variety of choices for most palates. The preparation and presentation were top-notch. Every dish was seasoned well and so tasty. (I recommend the Beef Wellington) DOSC is a wonderful place for a business dinner or a night out with your friends. Great site, great service, great food.

DOSC delivered a wonderful experience. Henry and Jackson ensured a smooth table booking process and provided exceptional service with a dash of humor. The restaurant's ambiance was noteworthy. My group of six enjoyed the variety of dishes ordered, including the excellent drinks. The Eggs Benny was particularly impressive, with its bold flavors. The Steak Frites, Breakfast Poutine, and burgers were all outstanding!!

We ordered tomahawk + 2 appetizers for 4 people and were super excited to try the meat. The tomahawk was unfortunately pretty tough and dry and did not taste great. The table agreed on 3/5. However, the appetizers were delicious and our server was suuper friendly and awesome 5/5. 4 stars because we would return one day but probably not order the tomahawk.

This was my first time at DOSC and I was highly impressed. Everything from the service to the food was just amazing. I ordered the strip loin with the beef tallow mushrooms during their brunch menu. The steak was so tender and was cooked to perfection. Additionally I shared a few items such as the brussel sprouts and the ox tail poutine both of which I would strongly recommend. The ox tail poutine had a large amount of meat on it which was surprising and very tasty. If you are looking for a great meal in Edmonton I would highly suggest trying DOSC.

The food is tasty and the ambience elegant - found the staff clearly more upbeat and enthusiastic to Caucasian solo male diner. I arrived and while the waitstaff walks towards me at the door they don’t greet me instead they look hesitant and questioning and while serving instead of a smile and sincere enjoy your meal and genuinely pleased - it’s more here’s the dish. And I’m the one saying thank you. It was highly and noticeably different watching the way the greeted the white male who entered after me and seated at the table right next to me so I heard exactly all the differences however minute it may seem make a big difference. That’s how the ego and morale of certain groups are maintained and boosted while solo female Asian diners def do not get the same treatment or even identity as most people are conditioned and unconsciously behavior with more obsequious and respectful behavior to Caucasians, male and other elements of their upbringing and societal prejudices whether based on merit or not. Unfortunately it’s too common and is not unique to this restaurant but the staff although “polite” on the surface was like a night and day difference to me and is the exact type of low energy behavior that marginalized certain people and is an element of racism and discrimination.

Ordered the small charcuterie board, it came out absolutely beautiful and delicious, perfect balance of sweet and salty. The portion size is larger than expected, can easily feed 3-4 people. The board is a light reusable bamboo tray. I’ve tried their BBQ spice blends as well, they were unique and had a depth in the flavour. Staff members were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The store smelled wonderful as well. Street parking available but can be challenging to find depending on the time of the day.

Soo much artisan selection and local products from spirits to cheese, condiments and meats. There is a lot to offer from this quaint deli located in the best trendy area. I bought a Christmas gift box and the system in place was very handy and simple: you could select the price range and the types of products you wished to have in the box. I am very pleased and this made Christmas shopping SO easy. The online ordering system is straight forward and simple as well. Meuwly’s was super accommodating, easy to work with, and provided an experience to our members that won’t be easily topped. We ordered a charcuterie board from Art of Charcuterie that operates within Meuwly's. This was a special treat for us as it is our anniversary. Diana prepared us the most amazing charcuterie box to enjoy at home. It was well priced for what we received. The box had a stunning presentation, most items were from Meuwly's and local sourced when possible. We may have a new option for special occasion meals.

I really enjoyed myself. The staff and bartender did a amazing job. Cook served up a delicious meal and everything was very tasty and satisfying. Prices were high but I did not leave hungry. The space is romantic and warm. Had the special which was a pork stuff pasta. So yummy. Will go again for sure. Area is nice and views are good. Great Italian restaurant. Did not try any wine. An amazing meal with knowledgeable, bright, and friendly service. My wife, Mom, and I came for dinner. We had incredible service with lots of laughs and shared experiences. From drinks to appetizers to mains everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. Our server had a story for every dish about where it came from and what inspired it. I had to finish with the chocolate cake and gelato, which was a prefect end to our awesome meal.

The food was pretty good and dishes very picturesque, but one thing left a sour taste in our mouths. I called a day before our reservation to ask if I could request no lamb for the tasting menu (my SO doesn't eat lamb and I don't enjoy it) and the gentleman on the phone assured me no lamb was included. After ordering the tasting menu, the fourth dish that was brought to us was lamb. We asked if they could make something else instead and, after checking with the chef, our server responded "unfortunately with the tasting menu, you get what you get". We explained the situation and still nothing could be done.

Fantastic higher end restaurant with wonderful ambience, service, and food. We dined family style and had a variety of items from across the menu. All of the dishes had well balanced flavours and textures and we did not regret a single one of our choices. Highlights include the oxtail and baby zucchini blossoms, which as the name suggests featured super tender oxtail. The duck breast was also notable, having a nice savory flavour offset with a bit of tartness from a cherry demi glace. The doughnut dessert was also amazing - crispy on the outside with a soft rich interior. You get quite a few so be prepared to eat or take some home!

Very friendly and polite staff and the food was amazing, specially their pastas, and their cocktails were quite delicious, specially their Zagara Sunshine.

Culina To Go & Catering is a popular bistro located at the Muttart Conservatory. Despite its somewhat secluded location, it's always bustling with visitors. The cafe offers a diverse and enjoyable menu in a cozy, home-like setting. Additionally, Culina hosts special events like buffet brunches and catered celebrations at their various locations, such as the new space in Little Italy.
I booked Culina catering for 2 events in the past month for my employer, and both were a huge success. We were able to create a custom fully vegetarian menu with a very delicious variety. We find when booking caterers a lot of veggie options are simple and not exciting, but not Culina! For our second event we made a few tweaks based on preferences, and truly every item was a success. The set up was so quick and efficient, and everyone at the event went home with leftovers!

Lots of variety of hot and take home meals in a great space. I tried the roasted lamb but had been tempted by a couple other options. Flavour was good, but lamb was overcooked and a bit dry. Perhaps from sitting out for a bit. Very filling with yummy sides. Seating available in the shared common space.

Culina catered our 30-person work event in Edmonton and everyone was extremely satisfied with the food and service. Culina was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We communicated our menu preferences and restrictions and they selected a suitable menu for our event. They were very flexible and communicative with the delivery, which made for a very seamless process. I highly recommend Culina for catering and I look forward to visiting their establishment!

Culina catered our 130 ppl wedding and we were blown away by their hospitality and quality! The tasting evening they put together for us was small and intimate with freshly prepared 3 courses. We instantly knew Culina would be perfect for our wedding. Communicating with Culina throughout the wedding planning months was met with prompt responses and excellent customer service. They were our “yes” people and made a lot of last minute changes for us. On the actual wedding day the chef went around to each and every person with allergies to guide them through the buffet choices they could make and kept specially prepared dishes for those that couldn’t have specific meals. Our guests felt so cared for. Thank you Culina! That was the best buffet wedding food we’ve had!

I contacted Culina as I was looking to cater an event for 30+ people on short notice. Fate sent me to the right place! The prompt responses to all my questions, the delicious food, the best service! I can't rave enough about my experience with Brad and Wendy. I loved that their food options ticked all the boxes I had for folks with food restrictions and allergies. No peanuts, no gluten, no pork, no dairy, individually boxed! AND we loved that they sourced so much locally. The boxes arrived fresh and people couldn't stop complimenting me on my choice of caterer! From the lentil fritters to the bison sausage to the salmon, everything was perfect. And the Bannock!!! So amazing with that berry butter. Be the hero of your next party and order from Culina

I love the food here and the vibes! So convenient to grab lunch when you have a quick lunch break! However, we swung by today not knowing that they’re closed on Mondays! Our mistake for sure. But the gentleman working seemed super annoyed with us and practically closed the door physically on my friend. We made a mistake sure, but the door was unlocked and we were very polite and apologetic about it. No need to be rude to us. Otherwise staff are usually quite friendly here!

Fantastic food and atmosphere! This place was built on the family style dining. They literally go the extra mile to make you feel like it! From take home meals with their own pots, which they trust you to return, to the... you need a extra bag, etc... they want you to feel like you're at home. The food is sourced local and the staff are exceptional!!

I recently worked with Culina to cater a conference of 80+ people. They were accommodating, helpful, and very easy to work with. We had the Indigenous Buffet and the food was delicious. The set-up was beautiful and all the guests raved. Cindy and her team were a delight and I would highly recommend Culina for your events!

If you're on the hunt for a taste of the Philippines in Edmonton, look no further than Filistix SUB. This delightful eatery serves up mouthwatering dishes that celebrate Filipino cuisine, with their Classic Chicken Adobo being a standout. Imagine tender braised chicken enveloped in a tangy adobo sauce made from soy, vinegar, and garlic—it's simply irresistible! The South Pacific Katsu is another must-try that has garnered rave reviews for its flavor and heartiness.
Decided to try their delicious spicy Chicken Calderete with a nice Grapefruit Bubly drink! Awesome presentation with extremely pleasant staff! An awesome Filipino dish! A Must Try! The atmosphere was clean and beautiful!

I’ve been working at the University of Alberta for nearly twenty years and hands down Filistix is the best meal that you will have on campus. Not only is the food out of this world the staff at this location is some of the best people you will ever meet. I highly recommend the South Pacific Coconut Chicken.

This is an absolute gem of a place! I found out about them through one of their food trucks being at the fringe festival. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had a location in SUB right on campus. It's too bad about the standalone location in downtown, I thought it added a nice touch of something different in the city's food options.

>>>>>>>>>>Edo in every senses. So disappointed by Edo recently so decided to try Flistix. It’s best lunch place on campus!!!!!!!! Great service and generous offer of good 😌😍 Asked for extra spice cuz they just add so much to the taste, and it’s the first place that would actually provides you more than enough amount of spices!
Joy J — Google review
The food here is quite good, and substantially more filling than most other places I've eaten on campus. Not as many options as I might like, and very few are vegetarian or vegan, but those dishes are still delicious. Would eat here again.

pretty good, prob the best quality food on campus. wish it was a bit cheaper tho edit: bumping to 5 stars, their black bean chicken is insanely good. worth for sure
Shady — Google review
This restaurant is slightly out of the way so it is easy to miss but the delicious food here is the first thing you smell whenever you enter SUB. The food here is easily the best you can get on campus and it is quite healthy compared to some other similar options too. The staff are also always friendly and from what I have seen, are very accommodating if you want your order customized. Other cuisines have a lot to offer but I really appreciate the balance of flavours each of the dishes have. You can tell there is a bit of a fusion between European and Asian here too with some of the dishes so the flavours are unique as well. This restaurant single handedly inspired me to try more Filipino food. I especially recommend the South Pacific Coconut Chicken and the Fili Beef which is something they invented themselves but is inspired by Filipino food. You can’t go wrong with any of their options though and they have some nice lunch specials that are worth checking out as well.

(this was for the Filistix food truck in 2023 the weekend they opened) Food was amazing, especially the South Pacific Katsu pictured. Service was slow, but it was their *very first day* in the truck again, so I'm sure by the time you're reading this they're way faster. ---- Update, a couple weeks later. They of course got quicker, and the food stayed super tasty & filling! ---- Finally visited the Filistix in SUB, so good! Quick service too, during the lunch rush.
