We stopped by Little Brick for a flat white and a chai, and absolutely loved it! The coffee was great, and the chai was warm and comforting. The space itself is incredibly charming, cozy interiors with thoughtful decor, and a relaxed outdoor seating area that adds to the inviting vibe. The atmosphere was energetic but not overwhelming, making it a perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. Since it's close to our neighborhood, this definitely won’t be our last visit. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Such a great find, food was amazing and the service was just as great ❤️ you can tell they are very much about community and I appreciate all the love and talent the chef puts into their food. I’ve stopped in for coffee and a cookie before and that’s always been great. I remember having a breakfast sandwich years ago but hadn’t been back for food in years until about mid August 2025… and I was sorry to have been away for so long! The ham breakfast sandwich was SO good. No notes. Mimosa? Excellent. Americano? Also great!

Amazing food, with a unique atmosphere. We had the Eggs Benedict, with amazing thick cutt bacon! Gridsle stack, a homemade sausage round and sweet waffle Sandwich. Waffle stack a huge Waffle plate with mixed berries and a dolce syrup with that delicious sausage round on the side. Great presentation and the flavors were spot on.

Little Brick is my current favourite brunch spot. Staff are so cool and friendly, food is fast and fresh. I love the eggs benny (add bacon) and it’s dog friendly on the patio.

Little Brick is a hidden gem—I'm sure every Riverdale resident knows it well. It's a charming character home converted into a cozy restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, whether you're sitting inside, on the deck, or out in the garden. In the summer, it's the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch, offering a great selection of sandwiches, hot drinks, and more. It's incredibly family-friendly and fits right into the neighborhood vibe. I love this place and will definitely be back.

We were looking for a pet-friendly café and decided to try this place on Labor Day around lunch. It was packed, so our hopes were high—but the food was a letdown. My wife ordered the breakfast sandwich ($14), which came with a fried egg but was otherwise just a burger bun piled with arugula. I had the eggs benny ($15), but the eggs were soft-boiled instead of poached, served with just tomatoes and hollandaise. The breads weren’t even warm. For the price, it felt really underwhelming. Overall, not impressed and wouldn’t recommend.

Decent drink menu. Must decide while standing at the counter. Which I personally didn’t like. QR codes on tables would have been helpful for decision purposes. Not a big food menu at all. 3 items the day my friend and I went. Not sure if that’s normal. Ample seating but must walk down stairs to enter the establishment. If mobility is challenging for you I’d suggest going elsewhere. Decent tasting matcha with honey for $6. Not sure if the value was there but ok none the less. Didn’t overly love it but didn’t hate it. Might be back if a friend suggested it but wouldn’t think to come here again on my own. Has to do with parking as well since it’s paid street parking or paid lot parking. If you live dt and can walk I’d highly suggest that. Staff not overly friendly or helpful I found but they were efficient.

Such a great breakfast spot! Lots of seating, friendly staff and we absolutely loved the focaccia sandwiches. We got the eggplant and the cauliflower ones and the eggplant was our fave. It’s a dark and cozy atmosphere with bar vibes. Order at the front before sitting down. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice breakfast spot in the area!

I have only been here in the mornings a few times, so I only had the chance to try out a few of their breakfast sandwiches and coffee. While simple in presentation, you can really taste the flavour of all the ingredients. For instance, the subtle sweetness of the house-made tomato jam stands out with the savoury taste of the meat. Americano is pretty much what you would expect as well. Service is also pretty quick, and the workers are friendly. I’ll definitely be back to try out some more, especially some of their fresh baked goods. Also worth mentioning it’s quite interesting to visit the place during the day when comparing it to the bar atmosphere of Red Star during pre-pandemic nights. When restrictions aren’t in place, it can be a nice getaway for productivity settling in one of the booths.

Super cozy coffee shop. The lattes were delicious and the breakfast sandwich I had was delicious. I like that it’s kind of dark and located in the basement level away from the traffic of Jasper Ave. The service was interesting - I feel like I got attitude and felt uncomfortable interacting with every single person there, from the girl who took our order at the till, to the one who brought us our food and the one who picked up our dishes. Must have been an off day?!

I had the lox and eggs and my wife had the lox on a bagel with arugula and it was amazing, the flat white latte was outstanding, the waitress asked if we wanted to try the carrot cake and 😱 it's so moist and the cream cheese on it is divine, definitely one of my favorite coffee places now.

Have enjoyed coming to Lock Stock for quite some time. There are many coffee establishments within the block but this one has great food offerings, pastries and super java on tap. Their biscuits and kouign-amanns are super. The space is interesting. It's a bar by night and during the day it serves as a space as a coffee and dining space. It's cozy and functional. The service is great. Helpful and kind. 4 x ☕☕☕☕

Location: I’m not going to lie, it’s a bit of a dungeon. Sure, plenty of daylight filters down from street level, but you’re always going to feel like you’re underground. Setting: It’s a dark-stained wood-paneled pub with church pews. Pretty consistent with the whole dungeon vibe. Service: Both our host and server were delightful and cheery – which did a lot to lighten the mood. Drink: I ordered a chai latte which was artfully crafted by someone who obviously takes pride in their work. It was less sweet than a traditional chai which made it better for me, no doubt, but honestly less tasty. Food: I had the bacon and egg English muffin and it was fantastic! Once again, this was obviously made by someone who cares. My only complaint was the choice to add arugula. Now this was my fault since I didn’t read the menu description carefully, but I do wonder how there are so many people who enjoy this bitter-tasting herb. I may not be in the majority here, but never in my life have I thought any dish could be improved if it only tasted more like poison.

Visit: February 2025 I'm not a big coffee drinker, but they gave good suggestions and the coffee wasn't bitter or overly acidic. It was a really nice cup! It had a floral taste to it as well. The interior is really bright and cute, and the staff was helpful and excellent

Amazing customer support, very helpful and responsive team! Also for customer from abroad. I recently purchased a hand grinder along with some coffee gears. The handling of the shipment was within a day and within one week the package arrived in Amsterdam. Upon receiving the package, UPS didn’t process my payment for import tax, therefore I was told to contact Rogue Coffee Team directly. Emily responded within few hours to my email and helped me out. What’s more, I received more items than what I ordered: a bag of 200-300g coffee beans for me to season the burr of my grinder, plus 2 single origin coffee samples. The coffees are of high quality, well roasted to filter. Finally, the team helped me again when I accidentally got my grinder stuck. They responded within 1 day. It’s really a long time ago since I have experienced such hospitality. Thank you, Rogue Coffee Team! The grinder is working again!

The coffee from Rogue Wave is truly excellent. I've enjoyed every single batch I've ordered. Delivery is impressively fast! I placed my order on a Tuesday, and by Wednesday, my coffee had already arrived at my front door! Living in Calgary, I was thrilled with how quickly my order came. Knowing this, I'll never have to worry about running out of coffee. I've ordered from many small roasters across Canada, and I can confidently say that Rogue Wave is one of my absolute favourites. I love supporting local businesses, and Rogue Wave is easily in the top 3 on my list. Thank you for the amazing tasting coffee! The website was easy to use, and since I primarily do pour-overs, I appreciated how the search menu perfectly narrows down my options to exactly what I'm looking for.

I went there because my friend in Thailand asked me to buy the coffee beans for him when I go back. But I found that this is the gem for coffee and tea lover! We order americano and matcha latte with oat milk. Love it! Price is reasonable. Taste is great. A plenty of parking outside. Closed on Sunday. A lot of stuff to shop for your own home cafe. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do..." need not apply at Rogue Wave Coffee. My friend speaks highly of Rogue Wave, so I tagged along to his favorite shop. Their coffee aRoma is amazingly wonderful. But I don't drink coffee... I ordered their premium Matcha latte with oat milk and was pleasantly surprised with the velvety smooth froth. Perfect mildly bitter taste with rich lingering flavor and no grittiness! Try their Matcha Latte as the world does not revolve around just coffee!

I live in Texas, so nowhere near Rogue Wave, but I order coffee from them multiple times per month. I've tried over a dozen roasters over the past year and, undoubtedly, Rogue Wave is Top 3. Their quality of beans is unmatched. I often call to get suggestions on what to buy and every single time, the person who picks up the phone is friendly and willing to provide solid suggestions - today, Aidan helped me on the phone and he took his time explaining some of the coffees and providing some suggestions. I don't know if I'll ever be able to visit a physical location, but I will be ordering from these guys for a long time!

These coffee roasters and espresso bar was recommended to us by Kelowna roasters and we finally got a chance to try the espresso and cappuccino. They had the Guatemala beans and my wife said it was the best espresso she had in the long time. I also really enjoyed my cappuccino. Also you rarely see an espresso bar serving you sparkling water with your shot of espresso, which they did and it was great. So we really highly recommend this roasters and espresso bar!

First impression, cozy welcoming vibe. Service is good. Baristas are knowledgeable but a needs to review some milk difference from drink to drink. I like their cinnamon roll, dare I say one of the best in town. Will be trying their coffee beans and will be updating this review. Overall, one of the best place to have coffee.

Very nice atmosphere and staff. Went there for a work meeting and we were never interrupted. In fact, most of the people that came in seem to also consider this place a great spot to journal, read or take a break after a run. Lovely spot in the neighborhood too! So peaceful, quiet and calm. Everything was clean, tidy and organized. Lots of free street parking! Highly recommend, will visit again soon.

I’ve been going to Transcend for years, and it’s easily one of my favorite spots in Edmonton. Most of the time, I grab their freshly roasted beans to make lattes at home, the quality is always top-notch and you can taste the freshness in every cup. But on the days I just want to treat myself, their lattes are simply the best. Smooth, rich, and perfectly made every single time. Whether I’m brewing at home or sitting in the café, Transcend never disappoints.

Prettiest latte I’ve had in Edmonton! The croissant was freshly baked this morning, so the chocolate was soft and melty! My husband’s espresso was similar to what he’d had in Italy.

Had a drip coffee, it was solid. A bit acidic but good overall. Also had a croissant and my partner had a pain au chocolate. Both were light and flaky. A nice spot for an afternoon coffee.

Great experience at Transcend Ritchie! Their cute cafe is the perfect stop for caffeine and pastries if you're in the area. Big fan of the matcha lattes. There's plenty of seating and also parking if you're driving. The staff are very nice and friendly. Thank you!

I recently visited Credo Coffee for a quick coffee meeting, and overall, I had a lovely experience. I arrived a bit early, so I ordered my coffee right away, and the timing couldn’t have been better. It was a bit chilly that day, and having my coffee served promptly was such a comfort. I also loved their coffee cups—they’re not only aesthetically pleasing but add a little extra charm to the experience. As I waited for my friend to arrive, I noticed that seating is somewhat limited, especially during busier hours. I had hoped to snag a spot on the cozy, cushioned chair, but it was already occupied, so I settled for the high stools. While they’re perfectly fine, I do wish there were more seating options available to make it easier to find your preferred spot, especially when it’s busy. Despite the compact layout, Credo Coffee has a nice, private vibe that makes it great for casual chats or even solo work sessions if you’re looking for a quieter atmosphere. I didn’t get a chance to try their food selection, but it looked tempting, so I’m definitely planning to sample some next time I visit. Overall, it’s a cute little spot for a quick coffee catch-up or a bit of work time.

I got the matcha latte and London fog. Both were good, service was friendly and prompt. I got the sizes confused and they offered to remake it for me, but it was my fault. This place had a mix of people working on laptops and meeting up with friends. The location is close to a few hotels and other restaurants so it's convenient. I would stop by for the convenience.

I was looking for a place to work for a few hours downtown on a Saturday, and this spot was great! The vanilla latte had actual vanilla (vanilla bean!), the chicken wrap was tasty and I had a London Fog which was also delicious. My only criticism: the table size is not great for a small laptop and all these drinks (better than Starbucks!), but clearly I managed just fine - LOL! Great vibe, friendly service.

They accommodate dairy free with soy, almond and oat milk alternatives! Unfortunately they don't carry gluten free fresh baked or meal options, but they did have some artisan packaged snack and chocolate bars that looked to be free of gluten at $8+. I tried both the chai latte for $6 regular and the vanilla bean premium latte for $8 large +$2. The chai was good 7.5/10 but the vanilla bean premium latte was exquisite 9.3/10 - it was so good I mentioned to the barista how much I liked it. It closed at 4pm, but it was Sunday. I would come back just for the vanilla bean latte honestly. Three critiques for the owner if he reads this...First gluten free options are a must, because many people are looking for this, And Second the tables fit my 15" laptop, but were too small to use a mouse, which slowed my work at lest 40%, and there is only 1 bar and a table (which was full and I didn't see plugs). Either switch to a round table or tables a bit (7" or so wider) so one can fit a mouse. Also the bench needs some cushions. Other then that great coffee, and great service.

Came for breakfast on a Saturday. The breakfast egg wrap and the chicken wrap were both delicious! The single origin pourover and the latte were both excellent as well. Service was excellent and very friendly. Although I did takeout, it looked like it had plenty of space to comfortably relax.

Credo used to be on the front end of new age coffee services in Edmonton. In only a few years though, it is feeling a bit dated. It's still a very hip java stop with a modern flair. It's also on the busy 104 Street strip in Edmonton that's going through a major renaissance. The service is great and the coffee is lovely. The food is ok...nothing spectacular. Everything is good...it's just missing that something special that gives it a little more character or unique vibe. Otherwise, four stars. 4 x ☕☕☕☕

The world needs more coffee shops like this, beautiful aesthetic spaces with damn good espresso. The high ceiling and lovely corner spots as well as the outside space make this a wonderful spot for all, couples, solo, getting some work done. I had a fabulous americano misto, and their chocolate and other offerings are great too. Wonderful warm service. Such a great spot if you love a Cafe experience at coffee prices.

Lovely little cafe with friendly service good coffee and AMAZING croissants. These are the best I’ve had anywhere, and I’ve spent a bit of time in Paris. Very limited seating (two stool inside and a few seats outside) but it’s a small place that knows what it does and does it well. Respect.

I recently visited Coffee Bruneau on a Sunday morning and had a rather mixed experience. While the coffee itself was pretty good, my interaction with the staff left much to be desired. The man working that morning was extremely rude and pretentious. He was very dismissive, passive-aggressive, and condescending, speaking to me as if I were an idiot. To make matters worse, he was on his phone while making drinks, clearly distracted. At one point, he even laid his phone on one of the machines he was using, which is extremely unsanitary. I have circled the spot in a picture below where he placed his phone, though I was too uncomfortable to take a picture at the time due to his behavior. Overall, the quality of the coffee doesn't make up for the poor service I received. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a better experience for future customers.

I stopped by this place in 2023 and again in 2025 for the local anime convention. These folks make some good coffee and serve some really fresh bagels! Recommend giving them a try!

This place is certainly a coffee shop. Small, Classic NYC type vibes. Quick service. Good London fog. I'll need to come back to try the pastries. I've had the bagels in MTL, but have yet to try them here. Hopefully they are just as good. No complaints at all.

Always excellent food & service here. I come in for coffee and the delicious pastries a couple times a week. I really appreciate that when my order was delayed this morning, they didn’t hesitate to give me a refund and make it right. Great customer service. I’ll keep coming back.

First time here and was amazed! The staff greeted us so kindly and recommended some amazing treats! We had vanilla iced lattes, soft serve ice creams with fresh brewed espresso on top, and to die for chocolate croissants. We went back in to get chocolate peanut butter rice crispy swirls. Everything was delicious! I will absolutely be coming back again and again!

i’m all for mismatched furniture and colourful walls but there is something about this remedy that feels extremely dated. the interior design of most locations but specifically this one is very strange and striking to me. the layout is great and there is somewhat of a welcoming vibe but it definitely does not come from the ketchup and mustard coloured walls. please remedy let me make you over. this vibe potentially contributes to the fact that i feel i have the ability to do absolutely batshit things here. i have hand sewn garments here, unpacked the deep and intimate parts of my life, and hand quilled a punk porcupine mask with broom bristles for a school project. the unhinged colours of the walls give me permission to do absolutely unhinged things here.

3/5 because there are limited options for food choices. I love the atmosphere thought it’s nice to sit and study or make work calls. Today I ordered a bagel and it looks like my 3 year old made it. Booo hooo. 1st world problem but this took 10 minutes to prepare and cost me nearly $6.

Got the brownie & chai, and did some work. Loads of seating and different types of tables so you can see choose what you like. Brownie portion was big too. Good high speed wifi. Note: the outlets are only available in some sofa areas, so you might have to relocate there once your battery is low.

This place is weird as heck in the best way possible. The butter chicken wrap tastes nothing like butter chicken, and it has mayo on it, but it is still delicious. The chai is fantastic as well, though be warned it is sweet.

Let’s talk about presentation and well seasoned food!!! This $12.25 Chana Masala is a vegan dish that offers you a gracious amount of flavourful chickpeas with soft buttery naan bread! But my favourite part was the Vanilla Rooibos Chai tea 🤤, it was $5.50 and I opted for oat milk. Look at the size, plus the flavour was full - no sugar or honey required. Usually a good place but yesterday the drink had no flavour and was a complete mismatch from the description. Would not recommend pumpkin spice mocha.

Place is located inside a small business building. Rustic atmosphere gives a whole different vibe. Cozy and chill spot, good place to relax after long work day. Menu is simple and fresh, prices are pretty standard. Series fast and simple. Place needs bit more cleaning and care. Overall it's a nice place to chill with your family and friends

Always excellent food items & really cool calm vibes!! The breakfast croissant is a must try + you won’t get a better scone in Edmonton - truly full of flavour! Whenever I want to meet up for coffee or quick casual breakfast with someone, I take them to Iconoclast! Approachable, cozy, inexpensive - for all to enjoy! Plus, check out the other shops in the Oliver Exchange building while you’re there!! It makes for a fun experience. Highly recommend.

I came for the coffee and stayed for that burger bby. Was not expecting the food to be so good. The buns were soft to the touch (pause), smashed patty and it had that blue cheese stank on it! Yum. The fries were crispy too. Great atmosphere, overall good vibes. Stop by Paul Kane park or the brewery next door if you're in the area

We had a nice experience at Aspen Coffee Roasters. The staff was friendly and professional, and the service was fairly quick. While the exterior is quite simple, the inside is cozy, modern, and tastefully decorated. We tried their rotating feature flight, which was a fun and creative touch. The strawberry rhubarb oat steamer and iced banana mocha stood out as favorites, and the other flavors were light and refreshing. The avocado toast was one of the best I’ve had in town—fresh and well-balanced. My husband really enjoyed the Reuben sandwich as well. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot with a cozy atmosphere and some great food options.

We got the flat white one from here. Flavorful and fair size of coffee (8oz). Great atmosphere. Recommending this place. Definitely will return back to this place.

For coffee lovers, Aspen Coffee Roasters is a treat. The beans are roasted with care, and it shows in every cup….bold, smooth, and full of flavor. The staff know their craft and are happy to share recommendations, whether you’re grabbing something quick or stocking up on beans to take home. The space itself is calm and clean, the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy your coffee instead of rushing out the door.

Cute cafe in south side. Defiant cozy and cute the matcha latte was delicious and the americano misto was also not bad. Loved how cute they made it and so welcoming they were. The cookie and muffins seemed like they were not super fresh but everything eles was nice

Went to this little place after the Starbucks said they don’t do lactose free milk anymore as they discontinued it. Service was great, the coffee was the last of the apple pie (discontinued after I had it). Not to fret cause it didn’t taste much like apple pie at all but then maybe that’s why it’s gone. I’m not going to know the food to a 4* cause of that though. Service was fantastic Atmosphere is unique.

Aspen Coffee Roasters provided the coffee and espresso for our wedding. We had such a fantastic experience coordinating with them, they are so friendly, organized, professional, and offered us so much helpful advice. The guests at our wedding could not stop complimenting how great the espresso martini’s were (even to this day). We are so thankful we went with them for our wedding and will never forget the experience.

Transcend's coffee is top-notch. I love coming here for an americano. I take my coffee black so there is nothing to hide the quality of the coffee and Transcend always delivers with a perfect cup! I also enjoy treating myself to their "Gateway Blend", which has tasting notes of chocolate and nuts. I have not had food here so unable to comment. The staff are so warm and welcoming, which really nurtures a cozy atmosphere. This location was very quiet when I visited a Sunday morning whereas their Ritchie Market location always seems to be bustling.

I tried a banana form for my latte for the first time, and while it’s not my favorite, I appreciate the unique experience. The server was both professional and friendly. I definitely recommend this place!

A great coffee shop for studying or getting some work done. Lots of people moving in and out but never felt cramped. High quality coffee although a bit more expensive than other places in the area. Not a whole lot of food options but if you are just looking for a drink thats alright. Enjoyed a lot.

To me, acquiring coffee is an experience. It’s not just hitting caffeine. It’s the people, the ambience, the flavour, the texture that makes the whole experience incredible. I want to give a shoutout to Amy & Erin (Hopefully I spelled their names right), for being so welcoming and doing a fantastic work with the coffee itself! Plus they gave me a free extra coffee! Highly recommend if you’re looking for high quality coffee in Edmonton!

Why y'all close so damn early? Most cafes are open until at least 6pm. Neighborhood border wise it is westmount but vicinity wise it is part of downtown. Most of the night owls in the city live downtown. A lot of university students live in the area that might be cramming. You're right next to 124st which is booming with night life. You're missing out on a lot of potential business. Closing at 3pm means students who got off school and want coffee to go home and study and do homework are going somewhere else. There's always another rush at downtown cafes around 5 or 6pm and if you're open late enough there ends up being another one at around 10pm. Remedy was open until midnight and they were at least half packed until close. I just don't understand why you would close much earlier than other businesses given all these factors.

We went to try their pistachio cake. I don’t know what’s the hype but it is just a normal sweet cake. Latte and ganache mocha coffee are just ok. Sandwiches have big portions and the beef and quinoa soup are just ok for me. The ambience is a little dim so if you want to have a low-key or quiet date on a weekday, this is for you. There are a lot of tables so there is a space for everyone. Parking is available on the other block and you can just walk to the cafe. They have vegetarian options as well.

A cozy, charming, and atmospheric place. They offer a wide variety of desserts and display beautiful paintings that you can purchase. However, there are a few minor issues that could be easily fixed. Occasionally, some of the tableware is chipped or damaged, which negatively affects the establishment’s reputation. Also, one wall looks terrible — it’s dirty and patched up with plaster in several spots. And I would also add some music 🙂

A huge variety of sweet and savory options; they make sure to state ingredients, in case of allergies! I ordered a blueberry scone with an iced Americano: the cashier was very accommodating and kind when she told me they told me they didn't have the milk option I preferred, and made sure to check with me on the level of milk they added afterwards 🙏 the atmosphere is beautiful, rustic and homey. Can't wait to see what this place is like in the winter!

The coffee is great, especially the iced coffee, and the atmosphere is awesome so good to drink a coffee and Cill, the gelato was not gelato it was ice cream and I don’t not find it tasty. The other food items are good tho! Would recommend and an awesome location.

This cafe was one of my favourite spots to go to back when I lived here in Edmonton. I had hoped that it was still here when I came back for a visit. The coffee was great as usual. Great ambience and location. 👍😎

Block 1912 is definitely a unique spot on Whyte Ave with a cozy, artsy atmosphere that stands out from the usual café scene. The food menu is quite limited, but honestly, I don’t expect a huge selection from a café. Personally, I go for the pot pie—it’s my go-to and always satisfying. They also have a wide selection of desserts, though after trying a few, I found most of them not quite to my taste. The vibe, however, is usually great; there’s often nice music playing, which makes it a pleasant place to hang out or catch up with friends. That said, the biggest downside is the pricing. Compared to other options along Whyte, Block 1912 is definitely on the expensive side, which can make it harder to justify as a regular spot. Overall, it’s a cool, one-of-a-kind café that’s worth checking out, especially for the atmosphere and a pot pie, but be prepared to pay a bit more than you would elsewhere

We stopped here about 30 minutes after the cafe opened for the day, the space is cute, I loved the mishmash of odd dishes and the overall vibe of the space itself was quirky and enjoyable. I did find the food options to be fairly lackluster as the display case was half empty with labels that didn't match the baked goods. I had actually chosen this spot for breakfast based on the food photos, though the wall menu only listed the beverage options. Upon asking the barista if they no longer served the items in the photos (and showing the photos), she told me that she could make a ham and cheese breakfast croissant or a bacon and egg breakfast bun, so we opted for one of each. We were later told that the food board wasn't up because it was being repaired, but even a handwritten signs stating with the food options were would have been nice. Both sandwiches were really good, the "cinnamon bun" was a bit dry, but I was very happy with my iced chai latte, despite the straw being the same height as the glass and therefore mostly pointless. The coffee was not very hot, which was a disappointing and had us questioning how fresh it was. It seems to be a "serve yourself" atmosphere, so when your food or drink is ready, it is stuck on the counter and shouted at to inform you to come get it. I personally did not care for that and it caught me a bit off guard. We were the only ones in there at the time, so I was surprised that it was not brought to the table. When you were done, you clear your own table and bring everything to the side where there is a bin for dirty dishes and a garbage. It does seem to be a busy little spot, but it left something to be desired for us personally. I attempted to use the washroom (there are two available in the hall), but the one I walked into was in need of cleaning as there was fecal matter on various areas of the toilet seat - I returned to the key and let the barista know, she said they aren't the ones who clean it but she'll let them know across the way, so I'm thinking the responsibility belongs to one of the other businesses in the building. There is an adorable little eating area outside the back, but I couldn't say for sure if it belongs to this cafe. I'm glad I went as a one off, though I likely will not be back.

Kind of a unicorn among cafes. My partner and I have been doing a cafe tour around Edmonton. We have found that either the coffee is great or the food is great, but rarely are both good. Also, we have had a harder time finding coffee we like because we don’t enjoy the current trend for acidic coffees. Initially, we ordered brewed coffee and a mocha. The owner (?) noticed my partner having his coffee black and recommended the Americano, on the house. Impressed at how quick he was. The Americano definitely had a much deeper and richer flavour than the brewed coffee. The Americano here is delightful and pairs great with the lunch and breakfast “sammies.” I had the mocha with a peanut butter flavour shot and it was delicious. We did have a harder time finding the door after parking on Whyte Ave. It’s by the ice cream place and down a long hallway on the first floor. Definitely recommend.

It was a full-circle moment walking into Woodrack Café—nestled in the space that once housed Beadworks, right across from where I worked from 2007 to 2013. I was at the Old Strathcona Farmers' Market just last Saturday, but today I discovered that Woodrack has quietly been serving the community for three years now—though the building itself has been around for a decade, as the solo barista kindly shared amidst the bustle. My friend and I had coffee and a London Fog—both comforting and well made, perfect for the mellow, lived-in ambience of the place. Despite the rush, the barista held it down with calm efficiency, and the whole space had a welcoming rhythm that made me want to linger. Old haunts may evolve, but when they’re replaced by thoughtful cafés like Woodrack, the change feels more like continuity than loss. Noteworthy that since OSYS closed the crime rate has gone down in the area and #Varscona theatre must be so relieved!!!

When you take the time to look up a place to go for a drink and food, drive, find parking, pay for parking, walk to and locate the shop, stand and wait in line patiently for 10 minutes, just to be told "sorry we don't have breakfast sandwiches today"... it's very frustrating. Guys, you have a website showing your menu. It's understandable that you might run out of food items every once in a while but your staff didn't say "sorry we ran out", he said "sorry we don't have any today".. UPDATE your website to note that!

Super friendly staff. It was the perfect cafe for a rainy day. Pretty quiet, music wasn't too loud, good selection of treats and drinks. The decor has a really warm vibe too! It was a good place to work for a few hours. I got the Red symphony latte which could have been stronger but was good either way.

My boyfriend and I heard good things about this place so we decided to check it out. The parking lot out front was pretty much full, but luckily we managed to snag the last spot available. I ordered the regular Vanilla Latte with oat milk and my boyfriend got the large Mocha with oat milk. The lady taking our orders was friendly and nice. And they served our drinks right to our table. I absolutely loved my latte. It was creamy, robust, and very smooth. One of the smoothest lattes I've ever had. The oat milk complemented the espresso well. It had the perfect sweetness level. The Mocha was pretty tasty as well. It had a rich chocolate-y flavor. My latte was so well-done that my boyfriend kept stealing sips from my drink. We had a great time at this place and I can't wait to visit again.

The customer service here was great. Patient and willing to help you understand the many options and hey have for food and drink. Very busy spot too. Parking was tough to find and I had to park 1 block away due to construction in the area. I wasn’t a big fan of the furniture they have for patrons. It’s not that they were fancy or trendy but more uncomfortable and left me with the impression they didn’t want you to stay all day. Well not comfortably at least. But a great spot to stop for a Java and catch up with old friends.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city, especially the Glenora location! I stop by any chance I can. The loxocado toast is a must-try, and every roast of coffee I’ve had has been delicious. The staff are always warm and welcoming, making each visit a great experience.

Love their coffee and all their unique design. The turkey sandwich is a must-try. They even serve water with slices of cucumber so you can take in freshness with every sip. Their staff are super friendly and great you with a smile every time. And they keep their quality across all their branches. Well done Colombian Coffee, keep up the great work ❤️.

Very overpriced for what you get... At almost $8 the iced chai latte is extremely small. It's tasty but pretty standard, nothing extraordinary certainly only worth about $4 given the size with ice. We found the same with the sandwiches... $15 barely anything between the bread. Again flavors were decent but with what you get, they were worth $9... We won't be coming back. There's definitely potential here but they need to create a balance of worth. Also, the patio was nothing like the pictures which was very disappointing... too bad we had high hopes for this place.

Excellent drip coffee and spectacularly flavourful pour overs, the pickers project is a must try if you like fruit notes in your coffee. Ginger molasses cookies were soft and filling, they pair very nicely with the house coffee. The Colombian offers a lively and welcoming environment, I highly recommend this cafe if you're a fan of freshly roasted coffee and baked goods.

The Colombian has become a new staple for coffee lovers in Glenora. You can't miss the establishment with its big lit sign outside declaring COFFEE. The java and food here are amazing. The savoury and sweet dishes are incredible as is the coffee. One of our favorite breakfast sandwiches in the city and amazing donuts! The service is also incredible. The staff is on top of things...even bringing water out to you when they aren't required to. Always cheerful and conversational. The space is cozy. It's not as ideal as the French Quarter location. Many of the spots have small tables. But it's all serviceable. I meet friends here from all over the city. It's become a go to! 5 x ☕☕☕☕☕

Beautiful location in an old industrial building. The coffee was outstanding, ordered a single origin Indonesian pour over & had to come back each morning during our stay because it was so delicious!

I really enjoy the pour over coffee here—smooth and not overly acidic, which is a big plus. It’s easy on the stomach and doesn’t send me sprinting to the bathroom. Speaking of, the bathrooms are really nice. The outdoor seating is also a highlight, especially in the summer. It’s the perfect spot to relax and sip your coffee in the sun.

Tried a 16 oz Americano with the No. 9 bean and it was unreal — bold, smooth, and just the right kick. I’ve got two kids and this coffee made me feel like I could raise a third (I won’t, but still). Easily one of the best cups I’ve had. Ace lives up to the name.

It is simple: I love Ace Coffee West Ritchie. I stop in after teaching a yoga class with students for a delicious flat white. We always share a gorgeous bonboloni with luscious vanilla filling. I have also heard the weekend sandwiches are scrumptious. The spacious light-filled room with soaring wooden ceiling fills my spirits. And I always run into an old friend, neighbour, or friendly stranger. The staff are without exception kind and knowledgeable. A jewel in the city. Ever grateful. Thank you.

I was really hoping to love this place & make it my go to spot, but it was a bit of a disappointment. I’ve been there twice & both times, my drinks were a bit off. Coffee is okay. I ordered a London Fog last time & it tasted like there was espresso in it? It had a bitter flavour (maybe the tea was steeped too long? Idk). I would’ve taken it back, but I tasted it once in the car & I had already driven away. Cool atmosphere though & the location is nice.

Been here a few times. Bought my espresso machine here. The staff are great. The atmosphere is hip and relaxing. The place is clean, and the location is easy to get to.

Watch out Starbucks things have gotten more personal. Be coffee located in Edmonton Northwest section, it's an Eclectic version of what you would think the Friends Coffee House from the sitcom would look like today's day and age. They even know your name and they pay attention to what you drink and take the time to get to know you, hear your story and remember your drink. It's nice to be able to spend so much for a drink and still be remembered as an individual. There are many happy customers around therefore I had to try the orange creamsicle cheesecake and my wife tried the chocolate brownie with hint of mint. What a beautiful balance as they warm it. My wife had the ice coffee, salted caramel, and I had my usual rocket fuel, my once a week treat which they made very quickly and tasted absolutely marvelous. They're freshly ground espresso beans brought out a simple but elegant balance to the cappuccino. I highly recommend this coffee shop as your new haunt.

Finally got to visit this little gem of a cafe, was everything I hoped it would be! Tried the iced honey latte and was delighted by the simple smooth combination of honey and espresso flavour. It is hard to find a good espresso-based drink but BE Coffee knocked it out of the park. A very cute and vibe-y interior complimented with tall ceilings and a modern-day cafe aesthetic. Can’t wait to visit again!

Great little coffee place right by Century Park LRT. Very novel decor leaning into the "Be" motif. Good coffee and a decent selection of bakery items. I forget to ask them not to reheat the cinnamon bun and scone though. They never really get better when you reheat them. No reheat should be the default.

This is such a beautiful little coffee shop, the vibes and atmosphere is unbeatable just like the coffee! The workers are always so lovely and accommodating as well as helpful. There has also always been a table to sit at when we come. We haven’t tried any of the food yet but are looking forward to it as they have some delicious looking little treats! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

The cafe is very cosy and beautiful. Food and service were both great. We got a matcha latte and strawberry matcha for our drinks, liked them both. Also tired the blueberry muffin which very soft and perfectly sweet. To top it off also got the italian melt sandwich which was served with chips as a side and it tasted delicious. Would love to visit again. Recommend trying all the items we got, especially the blueberry muffin.

Stumbled into Roasti half-asleep and left feeling like I could run a marathon (or at least answer my work emails). Roasti Coffee Co is easily one of my favorite spots in the city and hands down the best chai tea latte you will ever have. Will 100% be back—probably too often

Had to review this one. Tried first time the Roasti Coffee Co today @ 52 Brentwood Blvd, Sherwood Park. They close by 6PM so couldn't try that last time when we were in Sherwood park. Amazing different flavor for coffee which is surely bit toward the roast side which I am thinking that's why they are called Roasti Coffee Co. The atmosphere was amazing the way seating is designed which helps every age group to go and enjoy coffee in your own space & mood. I found out after reaching the place they do serve cafe's as in supplying coffee. The choices for snack was also amazing and the size for cooking were huge. Kids loved it. We will surely go again and enjoy the taste for coffee the only thing I would suggest is you can mention the way you like your coffee as in hot, strong, lite then it might come the way you like but we have a different opinion as in try first and then if its something off then you can mention the way you want. Our server was Kate, I hope i spelled it right. And the staff was awesome too. It's a must try out place for coffee lovers. A Drip Black will surely keep you awake in case your day doesn't start without coffee. Cheers!

Roastii coffee is a blessing to all of us caf-fiends in the world. The atmosphere and service are great, and the coffee is somehow better. Roasti Coffee is an experience worth the trip.

My favourite coffee shop in Sherwood Park! Anytime I have an errand that takes me to Sherwood I always find myself stopping at Roasti! It is an amazingly cute coffee shop and the staff are always incredibly kind. The coffee is always amazing whether its the drip or a pour over if I am feeling fancy. They do an amazing job steaming oat milk too, and the flat whites are absolutely superb. They also have small selection of breakfast type sandwiches that are always melt in your mouth good! While it is a smaller place they have a variety of seating that suits either the student who is studying or a group who would like to visit. When they add something new to their menu I am always down to try as they never disappoint. I tried macadamia milk here for the first time and the barista was so excited for me it was contagious. While the sound of roaster can be a little loud it is incredibly cool getting to see them roasting the coffee on the spot and their selection of beans doesn't disappoint. Whether you're staying in or going roasti is fantastic and I highly recommend.

It's always a pleasure to stop in here! They have a simple menu that hits all the right notes - coffee, coffee, and more coffee! They offer delicious foods (some of which are freshly made from Everyday Food Co., just a few doors down). They usually have vegetarian options available as well. Staff are friendly, and the service is with a smile. They have clean washrooms on site. The cafe seating area is spacious and accessible seating (one lounge couch, 1 bench, and multiple chairs with no arm rests). The lights are warm & not super bright, as the huge windows at the front of the cafe provide so much lovely natural light. There is plenty of seating inside and parking outdoors along the strip mall they are located in. They sell lots of coffee beans & accessories to-go for your at home use/needs. I highly recommend them! Always great to support a local business.

This place is a hidden gem of Edmonton. The locals around the neighborhood knows how cool this place is. The coffee, pastries are very good and they even have instant noodles!! The customers are very friendly and seem to know each other so it is like a coffee shop in a feel good movie. The baristas are just so kind and you can tell they love what they do. I love coming here to just enjoy the neighborhood. I will always come visit here.

Hidden gem in Edmonton. I love the cozy vibes and great drinks. I think it’s so cool that the coffee shop is in a house! There was a constant flow of people coming in and out. When I got there, they were out of all of their pastries. One of the best London Fogs I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Oh. My. Gosh. Guys! This place is exceptional! I’m absolutely in love with the Heritage home and location. The decor is gorgeous and the coffee is fantastic. I prefer a bit more acidic coffee which is my only reason for the 4/5, but honestly I would be a regular here if we lived in Edmonton haha. Thanks for being amazing! 😍

Caleb does a consistently good job with the drinks. He precisely confirms the weight and temperature of the brews to keep the quality the same day after day. The home is pleasant and nice to be inside, and the outside is in a quiet area so that is nice seating as well. The quirky things like his tiny video game tv makes the place uniquely pleasant.

I love checking out small local coffee shops everywhere I go and Candid did not disappoint! Cute shop with a fun vibe. Sweet treats were amazing! And the service was the best part. Jaret took the time to make my ice coffee exactly how I requested while having a genuine chat with us and explaining their roasting process. Will definitely stop in again!

I get my oil changed at Meineke and always spend the time waiting at Candid Coffee Roasters. The breakfast hand pie is to die for and the espresso is some of the best I've had in the city. It's also a cozy little shop with an upper level with seating, and a few tables with outlets, handy for students/workers. Highly highly recommend.

Nice cafe in an industrial area. Not many outlets so make sure that you come with your computer charged. Coffee is amazing - had an Americano and flat white and both were great. Good balance on the flat white and espresso came through nicely. Tried the Brie bagel and the breakfast sand. Breakfast sand was good - English muffin size, but everything home cooked. Very good. Brie bagel was ok. I found it a bit confusing - the balance was off but it had potential. The cheddar and pesto sort of overpowered the sandwich. Pretty good, but not for everyone. Great place to check out. Our items all in were ~25 for two drinks and two sandwiches. Not bad and worth stopping in for

My friend and I enjoy trying new cafes in the city. This one is a bit tucked away from the road and you may not see it if you are not looking for it or if you don't work in the area. They have loft seating, which is pretty cool. The cappuccino and monster cookie was delicious! I would defiantly return.

Candid is one of the hidden gems in Edmonton. It’s located in industrial areas. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is where is “wows” you. Plenty of seating and there are two floors. They don’t have much on their menu but what they do have makes up for it. Got the Peach Raspberry Ice Tea, I’d recommend getting two shots of sweetener if you are on the sweet side. Wife got the cold brew and it was just perfect how it was. We also ordered the Breakfast Sandwich which was delicious. Would highly recommend this place. Just keep in mind that there is no elevator so the second floor is not wheelchair or stroller friendly. There are bathrooms on the main floor.

I live in Highlands and I visited your coffee shop yesterday. I was hoping to relax in a warm cozy place on a chilly fall day with a cup of coffee and dessert. Instead it was cold with the air conditioning running at my feet and the big door was open letting in a cold draft that left me chilled. Unfortunately I did not enjoy my time at Candid Coffee Roaster’s.

Visiting from Seattle and Candid was the first coffee shop I stopped at in Edmonton and it did not disappoint. The coffee was delicious and the baristas I chatted with were super friendly and welcoming. Great vibes all around, I’d happily come back next time I’m in town.

Hands down the best flat white I've ever had! The ambiance was lovely, too. I could totally chill here for the afternoon with friends or a good book! It was busy, so seating was limited, and I asked for a to-go cup, and they brought us out mugs. It took about ~5-10 mins for our drinks once we ordered. Minor slip-up that won't deter me from coming back.

Easily one of Edmontons best kept secrets when it comes to coffee shops. Kaffa Roaster and Studio has everything you could want, beautiful space and decor, phenomenal coffee, fantastic staff and a one of a kind vibe. I wish I found this gem sooner and it will be my go to recommendation for coffee shops from now on.

Today was my first visit to Kaffa and I will definitely be back. Delicious coffee, roasted on site and made by lovely, knowledgeable staff. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed--quietish, but with just the right amount of light and background noise to allow for normal conversation without feeling the need to be hushed OR raise your voice. The background music was at a perfectly comfortable volume. The art showcased on the walls was interesting, local, and thoughtfully placed and displayed. The location in Garneau is excellent and I just love cafes and restaurants that are above the ground floor; I'm not sure if it's accessible for people with mobility challenges, though. It really gave me that Montreal/Halifax cozy cafe vibes that I've missed so much here in Edmonton.

Aesthetically it had a very pleasing layout that I was happy to experience. You pay at the till and then one of the workers brings you the beverage/food. The food was very underwhelming but the coffee was not bad at all. The dessert brownie that we had was also very delicious and the service was good. Parking was confusing but if you live in the area it's nice place to come to if you don't have to worry about a car.

We came here after brunch at the sugar bowl for coffee and dessert. Coffee and cinnamon bun were really good. Its a different kind of cinnamon bun then your typical cream cheese one I'm use to but I liked it, it was good change. Atmosphere is pretty cool and will come again.

Kaffa in Garneau has been on my list of coffee shops to visit in #YEG and today I managed to meet up a friend who took me there - she could park at the back and whilst she had green tea I had matcha latte which was served beauitifully and tasted out of this world; They roast their own beans and make up a blend so will definitely return to try out coffees and food. The ambience is just brilliant and whilst not accessible for the disabled as you have to go up the stair to access Kaffa; also only one toilet when busy for events etc then it must be a tad difficult and require patience but the place is well worth it and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves real coffee - roaster in the pic is used to grind beans from various countries!

Really cool coffeehouse. The service was good and the drinks and food were tasty. The ambiance is great. This is not wheelchair accessible as you have to walk up a long flight of stairs. There are couches and large comfy chairs to relax on. Regular tables also. The Cold Chai Latte was great. My wife and I enjoyed our visit. Definitely check it out.

I went to MacEwan for 3 years. For every day I had class, I went here in the morning. This place provided my energy and my love for coffee. Even though I ordered a Nutella latte everyday and almost never strayed away. I learned that I really loved cafe’s and their environment (I now visit many). The people who work here are absolutely amazing and I never had an issue with any of them (seriously it got to the point were they knew my name and order). Even the new hires throughout the year were/are marvellous. This place gave me so many memories to look back on and I wish everyone who works there all the best!!

I love it!! I never liked coffee this much. Their nutella latte and caramel latte make me HAPPY. The atmosphere, lighting, and seatings are perfect too! Workers are friendly as well. And most importantly they close way later than other MacEwan food/beverage places😼 && sorry I didn’t take the food part of the menu

The service at deville always makes my day. I don’t know how they hit such a jackpot for their barista team. They manage to make my day in a less than 3 minute interactiom. Coffee is sooo good, same with their pastries new tuna melt & grilled cheese. However, I have tried majority of the rest of their menu (toastie, breakfast wrap/sandwich, etc) and I just dont like it. This is an unorthodox opinion amongst my friend group though, they all like at least the breakfast wrap a lot. I would go here a lot more if all my classes werent in building 5&6!

I've had 2 drinks from Deville so far and was happy with both. I tried a Nutella latte the first time. Although there did not seem to be any Nutella flavouring in the latte, I was still pleased with the taste and aroma. Today, I ordered the cold Joe with Nutella. I would recommend this if you like cold blended coffee - it's similar to an iced cappuccino or frappe, but better! I also had a vegan gluten-free cupcake and did not care for it. However, that being said, I am not vegan and do not have a gluten intolerance so I prefer cupcakes made with buttercream icing, eggs and flour.

Worst cappuccino and lattes ever! The cappuccino was mostly milk and did not resemble a cappuccino at all, no coffee flavour. When I went back to the barista, she didn’t like my comments and tool her a bit to tell okay I will make you another one. She did the other one and explained she had to use two shots to make it taste like coffee, I explained I always order cappuccino everywhere and it never tastes milk and I don’t ask for extra shot. Even the milk frothing and the coffee did not blend it was like drink milk with a touch of coffee. The cookie was the worst, like it has been there for a week! Definitely the worst coffee and cookie, probably it is highly rated for tea or regular coffee but surely it was a mistake going out of our way and trying it.

Amazing spot in the neighbourhood for a coffee/catchup. Staff is always super friendly and the products are very high quality. You’re getting what you pay for that’s for sure. The vibe is also really cool, love the slick contrast of the black ceiling against the live plants and the creative use of metal work! I’m into architecture and space development so it peaks my interest and love of the place! Overall highly recommended!

This place was recommended by a friend--and he was right, it's amazing! They roast their beans and make much of their food. The coffee (latte in my case) and donuts were really great. The staff was super friendly and amazing!! They have ample electrical outlets and wifi (albeit, a bit slow--but adequate for browsing but not great for large file uploads).

Stopped here for a late breakfast. Had the breakfast bagel and large mocha. Both were tasty…note on the poached egg in the sandwich…ask for it hard or at least not soft, as it arrived soft and the yolk squirted out of the middle of the bagel. Tasty but a little messy.

The Colombian's newest location in the Capilano area opened Oct 2024. Free street parking, their their typical industrial wood and metal interior and all the usual fanfare of coffee and teas made to perfection! Don't forget to ask about their seasonal offerings - today I tried the baklava latte with housemade pistachio, honey, and rose syrup! The speciality items are usually only 50 cents or so more than their regular latte. Staff are always friendly and happy to give you recommendation. The vibe is down to earth trendy. Like their other locations, it's usually fairly busy and lively inside - not a place to read a quiet book generally. But a great place to wake up, energize, and take in the vibrant community. (Capacity is prob 50ish) Two thumbs way up!

Amazing! The Colombian is my favourite coffeehouse when I am in Edmonton. This was my first visit to this location. The food and coffee was consistently great which is what one can expect from The Colombian. The team working here today was incredible. Their positive energy, efficiency and personable touches to everyone coming and going was top notch. Well done and thank you for making my visit a memorable one!

As a colombian I went there for a cold brew since its been really hot and i gotta say that was the worse coffee Ive ever had. It tasted like if it was old coffee and they just added more water to make it.

I wanted to like this place, as I've heard good things around the office. But I had a terrible experience. The staff seemed to be having a bad day (happens to the best of us), but it was off-putting, and it was as if I was bothersome for showing up and ordering. The donuts looked good, but the staff had limited information on the ingredients. I wanted to purchase a gift card, as that was my original reason for stopping by, and they informed me that I could only do that online through the app ... which sucks - why do I want to download and app and give them my information when I want to get a GC for someone else to use? So, I ordered an iced coffee drink since I made the trip and then left to download the app ... The drink was awful. It had coffee grounds in it (as pictured). I will NOT be coming back, and I promptly deleted the stupid app after getting the GC. The environment is pretty sparse ... a couple of chairs/tables to sit in. But it's basically a coffee kiosk at this location, not a cozy shop to sit in and relax.

I find ACE is a good spot if you need coffee and don’t want a big chain. The coffee is decent, (very mild) but the matcha is not the best. They will add sweetener so if you don’t prefer sweet matcha (I do not) make sure you specify. Also, the breakfast sandwiches are decent but not worth $15 in my opinion.

Just wow!! This is definitely the place to have a good cup of joe. It's beautiful modern , and they're really great at catering to high volume. Ordered a medium iced coffee/americno and also moco Came to $15. Very reasonable... I didn't try the food this time but it looked amazing.And people from work say it is great. Will be back!

Used the Ace app for the first time today to order an Americano... all worked great. By the time I walked from the office to the Manulife counter my coffee was sitting on the counter. That is exactly what I would expect when ordering ahead. I will be back!!

One of my favourite brunch spots in Edmonton for sure! Our table ordered the fried chicken waffle, calamari hash, and ricotta blueberry pancakes. Portions are super generous and everything was delicious. My fave dish here is definitely the chicken waffle—though I actually preferred the pulled chicken waffle I had on an earlier visit. The flavours and spices were next level compared to the fried chicken waffle I had today. The calamari hash was amazing (wish it had a little more hollandaise), and the ricotta pancakes were soft and not overly sweet, though I have had even better ricotta blueberry pancakes elsewhere.

The food is anywhere between okay to great, the service is absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is surreal and beautiful. My only complaint is that the food is sometimes a little lacking in flavor and would benefit from dialing in. But my god that bakery is so cool, and the general vibes are so much fun. Very busy place, for good reason.

Food: Taste good, looks good and big portion. Coffee taste terrible. My latte milk is enough but the espresso extraction time is too long. Way too bitter taste like Turkish coffee with milk instead of latte. Service: Just okay. They are attentive but once you finish your plate they come to clear it right away, feels rush and shouldn’t be like that. Atmosphere: Because of the rush service I don’t feel relax dining in this cafe. Overall food quality is good but service and atmosphere could be improved. Has definitely gone through a decor renovation since we were here last 4 years ago. Beautiful place and very busy for weekend brunch. Service was attentive. Food tasted great.

Overall an okay experience. We made a reservation for the dome seating outside, thankfully, because it was VERY loud inside the restaurant. The service was quick, but not exceptional. The Tiramisu latte was wonderful, my favorite part. The iced coffee was fine, but small in portion. The Cinnamon Bun French Toast was pretty and textural nice, but honestly underwhelming in flavour. It tasted like bread and raspberry sauce with only a hint of cinnamon. The Breakfast Burger was beautiful, but the burger and (especially) the potatoes were so salty it was a fight to eat more than half. I was so excited to come here, as it was my first time, but unfortunately I don't think I will be returning.

Loved our visit to Tiramisu Bistro! The tiramisu cake and tiramisu ice latte were amazing, and the Calabrese coffee was delicious. Great pastries, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

This was my the first time going to Tiramisu and it was wonderful! We requested a dome and it was a fun experience, the only thing I would suggest is going when it's getting darker outside so you can enjoy the cute lights setup inside the dome. After arriving and being seated, there was a wasp inside the dome so we asked for help with that, and the young man was able to rescue the wasp and release him outside. We went on a Saturday around 3pm, and across the street a band played some live music which was a welcomed suprise. Great food and friendly/helpful service, I would absolutely suggest going here!

The food here is amazing, and the atmosphere is lovely. Sabrina is always so very kind and funny, and I never feel rushed. The food and drinks come out quickly, and everything is always delicious.

It’s been years since I’ve been here but was on Whyte Ave for the art walk and this was the only vegan option nearby that wasn’t swamped. Menu has been updated and the food is still pretty good. All the vegan meats are made in house so no ultra processing! Love the hanging plant decor. Service was excellent! Perfect place for a group brunch or little cafe date.

Cafe Mosaic, on Sunday Art Walk, right at the tail end of the walk, we were hungry ish. Chose here based on it being nearby and my lady having a hankering for the Unicorn Burger she recalled. Not exactly vegan in taste—at least not in that overly “healthy” way some vegan spots go. This one leans more into comfort food, and that’s not a complaint. My lady friend had the Unicorn burger, which came with hash brown taters (but substitutions are available), and I added a side of fries because we knew two full meals would be too much. Portions were generous across the board. everything came out fast—the food and the drinks. I’d been told service wasn’t their strongest suit, but our server was friendly, attentive, and fully on the ball that day. Solid food, solid service.

My favorite place staff is wonderful the best place ever. In love with mellow yellows and the young ladies who help as I go often they know my order right away. Kind amazing vibes and music. So so so pleased thankful and grateful. So so yummy the light breakfast delish.

I had such a wonderful experience at this vegetarian café. I started with a chocolate peanut butter cupcake that was absolutely delightful, rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My decaf latte was quite literally perfect, smooth and creamy with just the right flavor. For food, I ordered the donair, and I was blown away by the substitute meat product they used. The texture and flavor were incredible, unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The individual who helped me at the front was amazing in guiding my choices. They were so patient, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be working in such a magnificent environment, which made the whole experience even better.

My partner and I (both vegetarian) have been here twice now, and both times were blown away by the food quality and flavours. Not to mention a spectacular atmosphere and wonderful staff. Truly a beautiful place for lunch. So far our favourite entree has been the donair, with the nachos not far behind. Dont forget to save space for dessert, the cheesecake is to die for. Would come here for that alone any day.

Enjoyed a fabulous evening at one of their 5 course gluten free special dinner events. Everything was gluten free. The chef came out to introduce every course. It was such a lovely evening. Attentive serving staff. Food was amazing. Very farm to table, locally sourced. 10/10 would recommend. My spouse who is not GF enjoyed the evening just as much as I did. They also do a wine pairing with each course if that's your thing. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great evening. This is such a hidden gem.

This restaurant/cafe is very charming. The food was amazing. I still think they make the best poutine you can find in Edmonton and one of the best I've had outside the city too. Good atmosphere, good service. Their outdoor area in the summer and fall is so cute!

First and foremost: their poutine is the best I’ve had in the city! It’s wonderful! It’s a beautiful cozy spot (with outdoor seating) to wind down for the afternoon! Staff are welcoming, friendly, and chatty. Free limited parking available by the adjacent lot (although I visited in the evening, during quiet hours) Keep in mind: during busy hours, it might be hard to find indoor seating!

My friend and I ordered the delicious salad d'ete with tofu. The lavender lemonade was nice. There was a jazz singer and musicians playibg at lunch. Fantastic. If I lived in Edmonton, I would be a regular.

My first time coming was just after touring La Cite Francophone for my wedding venue and we immediately fell in love with it. 1000/10 recommend the venue for any events, but it's also a beautiful spot for a date night (or date day!) The food is fabulous. I highly recommend the poutine (breakfast or regular) but you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Almost everything is gluten free too! The whole staff is bilingual and the place just oozes care for the community. I know from our wedding tasting that they work very closely with local farms and source a lot of their food locally. The staff also just clearly works together and supports and respects each other and it makes you feel like you're at home. It's such a unique dynamic. I can't wait to go back again and again!

We were attending a 7pm performance at the Fringe in the Service Credit Union theatre. We arrived at the restaurant at 5pm and were promptly seated. Our drink orders were taken and delivered. We gave our food order at 5:20. At 6 the server came by and said he had made a mistake in giving our order to the kitchen. He did not tell us when we could expect our food to be delivered and we did not ask him. By 6:15we knew our time was getting short to get to the theatre and we told another server we would need to cancel. She checked with the kitchen and they said the order was up. It was delivered at 6:20 giving us about 15 minutes to eat. Our original server never came back to our table and we had to ask other servers about our order and for our bill. The food was delicious but this was our least enjoyable dining experience in Edmonton. We would have preferred to provide our feedback privately but could find no way to communicate privately.

We really enjoyed our meal here from the food to the atmosphere to the service. At first, we were disappointed with the menu since they have limited gluten-free options. It would be so easy for them to get a good quality vegan/gluten-free bread – – perhaps from”Food in the Nud” nearby — and be able to offer a gluten-free option for the sandwich and tomato soup combo and the veggie burger combo, both items that we hoped to try. We ended up very happy with our selection, however, and shared the gluten-free pancakes, which were Matcha/lemon/blueberry and the vegan omelette. Both had incredible flavor profiles, were cooked to perfection, and you could tell they were made with quality ingredients. We are so grateful to have found this restaurant during our visit to Edmonton.

Food was delicious and super flavor full. The drinks were unique and had a lot of depth. The service was fast and kind, without feeling overbearing. All in all a wonderful experience We had the Pad Thai, and the special Pancakes (they were chocolate banana with pecans and coconut cream) and for drinks we had the lavender earl gray and the Moth Chai.

The atmosphere here is great, so many plants hanging from the ceiling and on the sides it's very nice. The outdoor patio although midst of a parking lot is also nice, because they have nice privacy screen full of vines. The food is next level so amazing! We have shrooms and chips, winter salad and lemongrass vermicelli. All superb. I plan to go back and try their whole menu!

I have enjoyed the Moth for many years having tried nearly all the options on the menu and enjoyed them all. Of course I have some favourites like the Chips N Shrooms or the Moth Burger. I have been meaning to try the Crab Cake Benny but previously always put it off for a seasonal offering at the. It is now my go-to. It is absolutely one of the best options worth trying. While it doesn't taste like a replica of traditional eggs benny, it absolutely replicates the delicious experience of eating eggs benny. It is a wonderful use of jackfruit. I highly recommend it. I also would say if you are looking to try something new to drink, go for the Mushroom Pine. Described to me accurately as "like a mint hot choloate with tea". It is creamy, lightly sweet and has a hint of floral-ness. The vibe is always friendly and relaxed though it can get noisy. The light is bright and refreshing ( don't be shy to wear sunglasses if it's in your eyes). The staff is minimal but always working hard never sacrificing quality. It can be slow on very busy days, so please be kind.

I recently visited Square One Cafe and had an amazing experience! The highlight was definitely their London Fog—it was absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of creamy, comforting flavors. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The cafe was quite busy when I went, so the service was a bit slow, but the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive despite the crowd. Another great touch was the selection of handmade goods available for purchase—such a unique and charming addition to the cafe! Overall, Square One Cafe is a must-visit in Edmonton. I’ll definitely be back for more of that incredible London Fog and to check out more of their handmade items. Highly recommend!

Came here on a local friend‘s recommendation. The vibe was good. The Canadiano (they still name it Americano) was a bit weak for my taste but it’s ok. The Cinnamon Knots was a bit dry and dated. Overall is enjoyable.

Hanna and Niko were absolutely fantastic! I ordered a latte with their homemade lavender syrup, and they suggested adding lavender cold foam on top—honestly, it was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Their positive attitude and personalized service truly stood out. They were super kind and caring. You can tell they’re a big part of what makes this place so special.

This is my go-to cafe worth every minute of the 20m drive (yes, sometimes daily). Whenever I venture out to support other local spots they just don’t compare. The iced lattes here are unmatched, especially with their housemade syrups. The salted caramel + cinnamon (50/50) with oat milk? Absolute perfection. As someone who’s dairy-free, I love that they offer delicious vegan muffins that never feel like a compromise. Shoutout to Olivia, the sweetest barista ever. She helped me find my perfect order 2 years back and is always a friendly face during my visits. She and the whole team are efficient and somehow the drinks are always consistent no matter who’s behind the bar! That alone is rare. I’m excited for the refresh this place deserves, but I’m just happy to keep grabbing my drinks to go until then.

The cafe is cute, clean, no unpleasant odors. The cats were very cute and friendly, the kids loved it All drinks are included in the price of admission ticket, which is valid for an hour. But I think the price of $30 for one adult and a child of 3 years old is a bit much. We were at the cafe on Saturday and the price for an adult 13+ was- $18.99, for a child from 1-6 years old it was $8.99.

I recently visited this cat café and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting. It is the perfect spot to unwind with a coffee and a few furry friends. The staff was super friendly and very passionate about the cats and their well-being. The menu had many options to choose from! I highly recommend this place. I left feeling so happy and I can’t wait to go back!

If you haven't visited the cat cafe on whyte ave, I highly suggest a visit! I had no idea what to expect, and the quality of the coffee, the space, and the staff far exceeded my expectations! Love that they have ACE Coffee, the most adorable selection of cat paraphernalia, and the space to be with the cats is spacious, calming, and stocked with books and games! The staff were also amazing and so accommodating and kind. Make reservations so you dont miss out!

As a cat lover, this is a wonderful idea. Lovely cats, clean spaces, cute board games and lovely refill idea. However, almost 20 canadian dollars per person on weekends I believe it is too much. The place was busy so I guess it is not too expensive for the public. Lastly, it is a café. And nothing else is served but drinks... no food, no breakfast. So, go enjoy your coffee, tea or smoothie and enjoy amazing cats napping next to you.

First time in the area so we weren’t sure what to look for on Whyte avenue. What a pleasant surprise this cat cafe was! The staff were super friendly and truly helpful, they structured our time really well (we didn’t have a reservation), not to mention a nice variety of beverages (chai catte mmmm) and cookies they have! Seating in the waiting lounge is somewhat limited but we got a place without problem, people usually stay there for a few minutes while waiting for the main attraction ;) We went to the cat lounge and wow it was spacious with many fluffy friends sleeping or walking around. It’s very important to follow the rules (they’re simple but it didn’t seem that people followed them: the big room was for kids aged of 7 and up and adults and it seemed that some parents decided to ignore that). Also please don’t touch cats while they sleep, again it’s easy to forget about it when you see so many purring beauties sleeping but remember, would you be thrilled to be waken up by a stranger in the middle of your night? We enjoyed our cat watching, we did get to pet a couple of cats but I felt somewhat bad because those cats get a lot of people’s attention and it could be annoying for them. We chose to look at them more than chasing a chance to pet them and it was well worth it. The admission fee is very reasonable especially when it comes with included beverages, and contribution to the shelter. Well done Cat Cafe on Whyte!

Great place, very cool concept of having a cafe with drinks included for an hour while you spend time with cats. I love the foster to adopt concept for some of the cats. The drinks and snacks are creative and delicious and the decor is spot on and cozy. Very hygge. As a parent with multiple kids it was a bit challenging to plan this visit. I’m giving the place 5 stars because the thoughtfulness and implementation that has gone into this place is remarkable. As a parent, it would get a 4 star rating. They were flexible with us this evening to make sure we could still attend but if you have littles be prepared to have stricter rules (can be found on their site) and more limited access. That being said, they were very accommodating and we still had a great time. All in all it’s for a good reason, but makes a last minute visit much more complicated. I wouldn’t recommend this as a regular spot for kids, most of the cats are pretty skittish and ornery but it’s a great concept for kids above 7 years old. Pro tip: buy the treats for the kitties, they will love you for it. While you are at it get some cute cat accessories and memorabilia, so many adorable trinkets.

cats were super cute! we came at a bad time i think (~1-2 pm) as they were almost all napping so keep that in mind. entry is quite expensive but i understand it probably goes towards the cats’ care. as with most such models, the initial hour you pay for goes by super fast so you can’t really take advantage of the unlimited drinks that come with it. also some of the board games didn’t come with instructions which made them hard to play, pls fix this!

The atmosphere is so cute, service is really good, and the food and high tea are delicious! I’m pregnant and they were accommodating which was really nice, and my friend had a lot of dietary restrictions which they also were very good about. Our server was so friendly and professional. I like that you can take treats to go as well!

An absolutely beautiful experience having high tea this morning with the crew! The atmosphere was perfect, everything was thoughtfully arranged with eclectic cutlery and dishware. The space itself was also absolutely charming. I only took a star off for the small tea selection— would’ve liked to see some more options. But other than that it was 10/10! I definitely want to come back another time for the regular breakfast menu! It looked very tasty.

I brought my mom here for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and we both enjoyed it. The tea service menu is a lot of food for two people though, be ready to pack some home. I was so full after the first layer of sandwiches and scones, I could barely finish the desserts on the top layer. The clotted cream for the scones isn’t too sweet, more like sour cream really, but balances well with the jams. The salmon sandwich and coffee cake were my favourites. Great service, very friendly! A charming and rustic atmosphere for tea.

Our food club came for brunch. We sat on the patioas it was a great day. Service was slow but I believe it was because it was busy inside. Food was good and everyone enjoyed it.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Old Beverly Cafe twice, and both times were truly unforgettable. From the delightful high tea experience to a scrumptious breakfast, the attention to detail and artistry that goes into every dish is simply stunning. The staff pour their hearts into creating a welcoming atmosphere. The whimsical touches and thoughtfulness that go into the dining experience make Old Beverly Cafe a truly special place. Had the brisket eggs Benedict which was pretty good! Visit: August 2024 Excellent brunch location with a really rustic vibe and great atmosphere. The food was excellent and reasonably priced as well. We got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and chicken stack (chicken and pancakes) and both were very savory and hearty Highly recommend for north side brunch!

I was so glad I found this place it seemed like a special place! How unfortunately, It took them almost 20-25 just to prepare the food and serve it to us. We buy a breakfast at English Style. Food was delicious in appearance and taste. but I still give only 3 stars because service was very slow and also my cahi tea was very untasty. I don't think I will go back or recommend this place to my friends.

Community… local art on the walls, local crafts on the shelves, live local music, local drinks and treats. A central hub for the community and community based events, arts of the ave, kaleido family arts festival, deep freeze Byzantine winter festival and many more projects and programs that make our city great. Kind courteous staff (that Hope girl is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, so cool, helpful and just a treat to be around)

First time here, for sure coming back :) Vibes were great, super chill atmosphere. Just got a regular Americano (solid) and the carrot cake (not too sweet or heavy). Baristas seemed kinda new, took a bit longer but they were really nice about it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this humble cafe, the energy of this places radiates local and the shelves are filled with art pieces avaliable for purchase by people in the community. I was also surprised by the quality of the baked goods, with the carrot muffin being a personal favorite. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming as well. This adorable cafe is a must try for locals in the area

Had a great experience here the atmosphere is so nice and calm, they have art for purchase in the walls from local artists, I had the chocolate cookie and it was soft and yummy, I will for sure be back!

The place was great. Interesting. Coffee was fantastic. But who the hell puts raisins in carrot bread. Wish i had of looked closer before ordering. That coffee though was a kiss from heaven.

It was my first time visiting this fabulous little coffee cafe. My friend goes all the time. I had the Cuban Panini and a London Fog Latte. It was delicious!!! I'd have both again. They offered all kinds of different milk alternatives, so there are many choices for those that cannot drink cows milk. And yes - my sandwich picture has some bites out of it...lol

Loved our visit to Anvil Coffee House! The cozy, artsy vibe made it a perfect spot to relax. We ordered a chai latte and a flat white—both were delicious and well-prepared. The warm atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better. Definitely planning to come back!

Great little coffee shop. When we walked in the door and there was a line up, we knew we were in for a treat! I tried a Dirty Chai for the first time along with the Chickpea salad sandwich, and they were delicious! Appreciate the vegetarian/vegan options. Love the cozy atmosphere and all the decorating touches including the amazing artwork (which can be purchased) and the bright yellow piano. We'll definitely be back!

By far my favourite cafe! Super trendy, AMAZING service, good food, and the drinks are perfect. The atmosphere is welcoming and is overall a super cute place!

Loved our visit to ANVIL Coffee House. Delicious coffee and generous portions, can't go wrong with that. Servers are both personable and efficient. The decor is eclectic. Well worth a visit. Go when you have time to sit and relax.

Missed our bus leaving No Frills and we were exhausted and it was windy and cold. We stepped inside for a moment to take a look and the place was relaxing and inviting. The atmosphere was wonderful. A friendly welcome made it even more tempting to stay and order, and the service was great. We got Italian soda and a London Fog and it was amazing. During our brief visit I decided we'll definitely have to go back, it was so refreshing, a day of pain and exhaustion turned into a refreshing evening.

Bountiful Farmers' Market is an absolute gem! The selection here is massive, offering everything from the freshest fruits and vegetables to unique, handcrafted goods. Whether you're looking for organic produce, homemade baked goods, or artisan crafts, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and vibrant, with friendly vendors who are passionate about their products. It's a great place to support local businesses while enjoying a fun, community-driven experience. If you're a food lover or just love discovering cool, handcrafted items, this market is a must-visit! I'd like to make note parking is not ideal.

Bountiful Market is the biggest indoor, year-round market in Edmonton, and relatively new in the past few years as a fixed market. Open weekends year round It has vegetables, vendors, and a variety of food options—but compared to the Calgary year round market, it just doesn’t have near the same impact. Yes, they have food vendors, garden produce, and other wares, but I wasn’t blown away. That said, there was a neat hat vendor I hadn’t seen before—quite expensive, but maybe I can justify it on a future visit. We had a good pistachio pastry-from Alyonka Bakery (the best item of the day) and some decent poutine at Western Sandwich (good value). Parking was a bit of a mess, but we managed to find street parking. I’ll visit again, but overall, it’s just okay.

Great indoor farmers market with nice selection of vendors. Clean with pretty spacious aisles. There’s a seating area to eat at. The washrooms are decent. Free onsite parking but it does fill up at peak times.

This is a great south side market, they have lots of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. The fresh fruit juices are amazing!!! The prices are very reasonable as well. Lots of local companies as well. It’s a nice open market with a lovely food court and lots of options to grab lunch. Everyone is really friendly and no one is pushy ever to get you to buy their items. There’s always lots to try and see. I do like that it’s a bit smaller, it can still get quite busy and I do like that they have ample free parking. Beautiful multi-day, year round, indoor farmers' market.

Variable fresh fruits and vegetables. There is a toddler play area and food court. Great selection of produces, dairy, meats and so much more. It is a nice place to spend time on weekends while shopping for fresh products. Plenty of free parking. We will definitely come back for another visit. Price point, it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are more fresh than the ones in the groceries stores.

This market is very lovely I have been going there for years now. The atmosphere there is just different from other places. Some of the stalls had wonderful items to sell especially The Happy Camel. Their dips and hummus was very good. Especially the original and red pepper feta, those two were my favourite.

Lots of options for fresh veggies, fruits, meat and treats. Good seating options and a variety of cuisines to try. ACE coffee roasters are here too ❤️☕️. I like the customer-friendly attention to detail like having a bus stop right in front of the building and shopping basket/carts, plus a bagging table at the entrance. Parking can be a bit of a gauntlet when it’s busy. Will come back!

Absolutely Outstanding! We had an incredible experience at DOSC in Edmonton. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was truly exceptional — attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being overbearing. The food was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was crafted with care, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the high quality of the ingredients — everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and thoughtfully balanced. Lovely drinks, food and ambience. We came on a busy evening for dinner, but the server was able to accommodate us very quickly with bar seating. Couldn't have anything alcoholic as I was driving, their Golden Hour drink was fabulous. Definitely a bit of a premium on the price end but it was a good experience!

DOSC is a very contemporary bar/coffee house/ steak house! The restaurant is located downtown Edmonton. The building is architecturally beautiful and historic. (A wheelchair accessible entrance was not apparent) The coffee bar is fully prepared to make your favorite brewed beverages. The bar was tastefully decorated, offering all the "adult" beverages you could imagine. The have a great selection of wines and a nice eclectic variety of beers. The restaurant surrounds the room with plenty of seating choices. Window seats, secluded romantic seats, casual locations. The menu has a nice variety of choices for most palates. The preparation and presentation were top-notch. Every dish was seasoned well and so tasty. (I recommend the Beef Wellington) DOSC is a wonderful place for a business dinner or a night out with your friends. Great site, great service, great food.

DOSC delivered a wonderful experience. Henry and Jackson ensured a smooth table booking process and provided exceptional service with a dash of humor. The restaurant's ambiance was noteworthy. My group of six enjoyed the variety of dishes ordered, including the excellent drinks. The Eggs Benny was particularly impressive, with its bold flavors. The Steak Frites, Breakfast Poutine, and burgers were all outstanding!!

We ordered tomahawk + 2 appetizers for 4 people and were super excited to try the meat. The tomahawk was unfortunately pretty tough and dry and did not taste great. The table agreed on 3/5. However, the appetizers were delicious and our server was suuper friendly and awesome 5/5. 4 stars because we would return one day but probably not order the tomahawk.

This was my first time at DOSC and I was highly impressed. Everything from the service to the food was just amazing. I ordered the strip loin with the beef tallow mushrooms during their brunch menu. The steak was so tender and was cooked to perfection. Additionally I shared a few items such as the brussel sprouts and the ox tail poutine both of which I would strongly recommend. The ox tail poutine had a large amount of meat on it which was surprising and very tasty. If you are looking for a great meal in Edmonton I would highly suggest trying DOSC.

The food is tasty and the ambience elegant - found the staff clearly more upbeat and enthusiastic to Caucasian solo male diner. I arrived and while the waitstaff walks towards me at the door they don’t greet me instead they look hesitant and questioning and while serving instead of a smile and sincere enjoy your meal and genuinely pleased - it’s more here’s the dish. And I’m the one saying thank you. It was highly and noticeably different watching the way the greeted the white male who entered after me and seated at the table right next to me so I heard exactly all the differences however minute it may seem make a big difference. That’s how the ego and morale of certain groups are maintained and boosted while solo female Asian diners def do not get the same treatment or even identity as most people are conditioned and unconsciously behavior with more obsequious and respectful behavior to Caucasians, male and other elements of their upbringing and societal prejudices whether based on merit or not. Unfortunately it’s too common and is not unique to this restaurant but the staff although “polite” on the surface was like a night and day difference to me and is the exact type of low energy behavior that marginalized certain people and is an element of racism and discrimination.

Had a great business meeting out on the patio at Mokha Coffee House. Even though it was busy, the atmosphere was relaxed and the volume was surprisingly manageable, perfect for a productive conversation. The iced mocha was amazing. The setting, service, and vibe made it a solid spot to meet up. Definitely a go-to for both casual hangouts and working sessions here in Edmonton. Looking forward to coming back!

The location itself is so apt and as soon as we entered the place.. it felt like a whole unique vibe.. as if we are in the downtown’s main cafeteria with next level interior designing. They extended the place as per demand it seems in just a year of opening, tells how much love and demand they are getting from the community. We sate in the open area. Everything is top notch.. the taste and variety of food, staff, ambiance. For service, the ordering system is excellent where you go to their main station and place the order, they give you a pager in return, so that you sit on your table while waiting for it to beep and get food from the counter. I loved my mocha coffee, pistachio cheesecake. We also got espresso shot, caramel cheesecake(loved it)

Great desserts and tried adani tea and really enjoyed it. The pistachio milk cake was my favourite out of all the desserts I have tried here. It will be great if some savoury options can be included as well and if perhaps the employees at pick-up counter don’t mind giving extra cups (paper cup is completely acceptable if glass cup is not the policy anymore)

First time visiting this place. It’s absolutely beautiful. You can eat/ drink inside or sit in the outdoors but covered. It’s completely open, beautiful scenery with a rock water fountain. I had a caramel cappuccino with a strawberry cream croissant. Both were delicious. I’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful first visit to Mohka Coffee House. The Yemen coffee was excellent. Also the brownie and croissant were delicious. Definitely a great experience and we want to return. You definitely feel the strong community vibe here and it is a very welcoming place. The staff were friendly and helped in making good decisions regarding our beverage choice and food. There was lots of people in the café but it didn't feel overly busy. The staff were also attentive while we sitting on the patio. The Jewel complex that Mohka is a part of is quite beautiful and we loved the lovely fountain and courtyard. We will most definitely be returning to enjoy many of the other offerings at Mohka. Great experience at the Mokha Coffee House. My wife and I enjoyed our visit. We enjoyed our drinks. We decided to try the Umali dessert and loved it. The ambiance was wonderful and the coffee shop was nicely lit and clean. This is a coffee shop with desserts 🍮 no lunch or dinner.

We truly enjoy visiting Mokha as it’s always been our go-to place, and we really hope the standard is consistently maintained. Unfortunately, today’s experience was disappointing. I had requested takeaway, but my order was first served on plates—which I understand can happen. However, the way it was eventually packaged and handed over was not acceptable. Since I was taking it for someone else, and mentioned to girl specifically still,presenting it in that manner didn’t look nice at all, and it left me disheartened.😞

Upon walking in, I was impressed by the amount of space there was inside. There were many full tables of people when we arrived past noon, and I loved seeing the wide assortment of green plants scattered throughout the cafe. We got a couple of things: an Almond Croissant, Bulgogi Poutine, a Lavender London Fog with oat milk, and a Peppermint Mocha with oat milk. My Almond Croissant was okay. I know almond croissants are made with leftover pastries, but there was no texture at all. It just fell flat, and lookswise it was physically flat as well lol. It was alright. I wouldn't get the almond croissant again. The Bulgogi Poutine was pretty good. The fries were delicious and crispy. The sauce on top of the fries was slightly sweet, salty, and savory. For me, the bulgogi could've been more flavorful and it didn't taste fresh but I liked the overall dish. Lastly, the Peppermint Mocha was alright. It wasn't spectacular. And I felt the same way about my Lavender London Fog with oat milk. I wish there was more depth in my drink. I think the tea could've been steeped a little longer. Flavor was there in my drink, but it wasn't strong enough. It was slightly disappointing since I've had amazing London Fogs before, and this one just wasn't up to par. Also my drink was slightly warm, not too far off from lukewarm. I feel like the price doesn't exactly correlate with quality for most things here. If we come back here, I'd be willing to try different things and pastries. But I don't think my rating would change much.

First time coming here. Met up with one of my friends. It was busy but still found seats . It’s a seat your self cafe/restaurant. I got a slice of cake and croissant with ham and cheese. Along with a “Canadiano “ iced. All the items were very nice . Tasted great. The atmosphere was lovely. Definitely a cute place. If you want a quiet place to have coffee it may not be your jam but the other items on the menu for breakfast/brunch looked so good and worth to come back and check out. I definitely plan to come back to try other items on the menu! The staff were very nice too. No complaints! 🙃 I did end up getting a couple more slices of cake to go and two cookies for my family and they definitely enjoyed those too. All very fresh tasting. The nice touch for the items brought home was there was tape under the cake trays to hold it to the box from moving around when I brought it home and didn’t bring smashed cake home! Smart little trick there! 👍🏻 thanks for the experience 💜

Another gem just hidden off whyte ave. We stopped in recalling a mango drink shared here a while ago and possibly taste it again. The cafe is spacious with tall ceilings and an inviting vibe. We found the mango Frappe and were just as delighted with the taste. Also, I picked up some chocolate and blueberry cake slices as they all look so delicious, making it easy to share if undecided on a particular one. LOL. Went back in for the mango Frappe and also tried a Lavender London fog both hot and cold variations. It was floral and definitely offered lavender, but still had the traditional flavor. Also picked up an orange citrus cake twice now, and it was fresh and yummy. They also had some amazing lunch items to choose from, including sandwiches and savory pastries. We got the Tomato and French Onion soup for takeaway as well, and it was so delicious. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff was sweet and helpful. A must visit for a cute brunch/lunch spot or if you just share a love for baked goods!!

La Bosco Bakery & Café is such a vibe! The plant display when you walk in is absolutely stunning - it totally transforms the space and gives it a vibrant, lush atmosphere. It was busy when I went, and there wasn’t any seating available, but honestly, that just added to the energy. The whole place felt like a café you’d stumble upon in Mexico City or Barcelona - stylish, lively, and full of character. Can’t wait to go back (hopefully snag a seat next time)!

Visit this cafe first time. Atmosphere is really nice, open, natural. Tried rose flavour Latte. But i feel disappointed. Not feel any rose flavour. Also taste croissant. Which was good-in taste. Overall nice to sit in sunny days.

Discovered the place by accident .. what a lively lovely vibe … absolutely warm and cozy ambience. High ceiling .. lots of plants and even patio to sit outside . There a lot of options and great value too . We loved it . They offer breakfast , snack and a lot of bakery items - macaroons , croissants, tiramisu , and lot more .. just enjoy

I came to this location 4 times this year just to try my favourite coffee chai tea latte. When I came first time I got perfectly made chai tea latte which blown my mind. I decided to go second time and third time it wasn’t up to my expectations. Today I decided to go again around 7pm with my family. Ordered two chai tea latte and found table to sit for ourselves. We noticed that the staff preparing to give us in paper cups however we want in mugs so my wife went to ask them to give us in mug, staff tried to pour coffee into mug and spilled some of them and didn’t even put cinnamon so my wife had to remind her to add some. Todays coffee didn’t even match what we ordered first time and it was tasteless chai tea latte I ever tried in square 1 coffee! If your motto is to provide good quality coffee please make sure quality is consistent. Some staff are good in making coffee with love but some staff are like they don’t care. Attached picture is the picture of chai tea latte that’s made perfectly for first time. If your staff can’t make good quality coffee and can’t keep the consistency it’s going to be like another tim Hortons coffee shop just for bland coffee that made by careless staff!

Heard a lot of great things since their opening so I had to check this out as it’s nearby the UofA campus. I ordered their bfast sandwich and an iced mocha latte & enjoyed it lots. Overall, the vibes are so cuteeee and the place is aesthetically pleasing. Prices are pretty standard across the board.

Square 1 has established a new location in the short west end of Edmonton at the hip district of West Block. The space is a naturally well-lit space with lots of tables and a few sofas in the middle. The service here is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of basic pastries and some pre-made savoury items. And the java is super. The only things that may take away from Square 1 is 1) they only have ONE outlet for power...someone is always sitting at those tables even if they're not using the power; and 2) at peak periods you are limited to a one hour visit. Otherwise, love this establishment after visiting their southside spot for years. Oh, and they're open late! 5 x ☕☕☕☕☕

Square One Coffee is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops for both great coffee, atmosphere & service. Not to mention the vegan cranberry muffins which are excellent 👌

In quick need of some good coffee during lunch, and not satisfied with other coffee shops closer to me, I took a chance and ventured out to Square 1to try and it has since become my favorite coffee spot. The staff is incredibly nice, drinks absolutely amazing, and sweets incredible. The vibe is also very relaxed and feels welcoming. If you're nearby or don't mind a drive I highly recommend stopping by.

Not a bad little spot. It’s a little tucked into a larger building and parking isn’t ideal or overly accessible. However, the customer service was really good and the quality was great too. It seemed a bit steep for a cafe mocha at $6.30 but that seems to be the inflation trend these days.

We visited this place on our way out of Edmonton as it is located in the west side of the city and grabbed the Peach Matcha and Strawberry Matcha Affogato from their seasonal cold menu. Both drinks were packed with flavor and beautifully layered. Although we got ours to go, we noticed the café has plenty of chic and comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors. The whole space is modern, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Definitely one of the coolest cafés in the city

This is hands down one of the nicest cafes I've been to! I was visiting Edmonton for a work trip, and Boxcar just happened to be close to where I was, so thought I'd pop in to get some work done. Absolutely love the vibe! Very, very cool place. Chic decor, unique sitting area, great menu choices and super friendly staff. There's also an outdoor seating area that's beautiful (see pic). Absolutely loved this place and will be back on my next visit to Edmonton!

Visit: July 2025 The cafe is really nice and homey. The staff is really nice and the drinks were good. The matcha strawberry affogato was really good. There's a lot of interesting drinks that I'd like to try next time I come back. We came in at 9am on a Saturday and it was already starting to get busy, but after we ordered, it got extremely busy!

This cafe is tucked in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. Love its eclectic vibe and cute/cozy interiors. My kids enjoy playing card games here while eating their fave treats (peach tres leches and pb&jelly sandwiches). I especially enjoy their lattes and chonky cookies. Service was quite slow but the staff are amazing and friendly. We'll keep coming back to this gem of a cafe.

The staff, Very nice and friendly. Mia and Rayan they are very nice and patient. They know about each product what it contains, etc. We bought coffee and chai latte and 2 cakes. I highly recommend going there!! there is an option to sit inside or even on a beautiful day outside, too! Mia and Rayan thank you very much again. and we will definitely come back again!

First time visiting the Boxcar Cafe. Super cute either way an indoor or outdoor eating/ drinking patio. Loved our coffees but wasn’t too excited to get them in plastic cups as they don’t keep the heat in. Time for a change

I've been coming to this small cozy cafè for over a year now, and I have to mention that meals and desserts have been consistently delightful and delicious every time I I visit my friend. Our top things to order at BOXCAR are Tres Leches ( Mango or Pineapple, both are great), the turkey sandwich with chips and dip, breakfast sandwich meal, Chai latte served warm, Polar Express macaron/cookie, carrot cake, and the matcha whether it's a latte or served cold with a jam BONUS: I met Jessy, and he is a real professional, gentleman, friendly, talkative, and he gives great positive energy to anybody he talks to. I wanna send thanks to the front line guy, Jerry he is really amazing and friendly as well as the woman who bakes both Tres Leches and carrot cakes. She makes great cakes and fresh.. Thanks to everyone at BOXCAR, and I hope to see you soon.

It is definitely unique concept BUT overall experience was quite disappointing. Took forever to order. But also cup had fingerprints everywhere and taste wasn’t worth the wait. Food was average. Server was nice.

We’ve been visiting a lot of cafes here in Edmonton lately. Tried Rhubarb and the food and drinks were mid. A bit pricey for the quantity of product you get. The place has a good vibe though. Service was ok - could be better.

We’ve visited Rhubarb Cafe & Cocktails several times now, and it continues to charm us with its cozy, European-inspired decor—not just inside the cafe, but throughout the surrounding neighborhood as well. The ambiance creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every visit feel like a mini getaway. One of the highlights is their creative selection of beverage flights, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They're a fun and unique way to explore the menu. Some drinks have been absolutely fantastic, while others were simply interesting to try—either way, it's always an enjoyable experience. The service has consistently been on the slower side anytime we visited the cafe, likely due to staffing challenges and the time it takes to make the drinks. It's something to be aware of if you're on a tight schedule. However, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the wait feel more relaxed and part of the laid-back vibe. Overall, Rhubarb remains a favorite spot for us, and we always look forward to returning. It's a great place to unwind and try something new.

I seemed to get stuck behind a gaggle of girls who all ordered breakfasts to go....giving the sole worker 20 minutes to get them all done. Mine was worth the wait. My latte was heaven. I made a point of looking at the espresso machine. The foam was so light and velvety. The food was just as exquisite.

Kelly was truly a delight to interact with. He recommended the Rhubarb cocktail for myself and the Disarono Pear cocktail for my husband and we are 100% coming back. The pastry’s are also delicious the Poppy Butterfly & Sour Cherry Danish YUM!. This place is a must try and a definite return spot. We will be back for the Flights ! Thank You Kelly you Rock !!!! Also the aesthetics are super cute take my foolish advice visit Rhubarb TODAY!

Such a cute coffee shop! The barista working was alone so she did take a while to take our order but that was totally understandable. Such a cute and cozy vibe. I found the shots over extracted and the caramel flavour was a little too sweet and fake tasting for my preference. But if you love sweet lattes this place will be awesome.

Tried for the first time today and loved it! We got a flight of Italian sodas (yum), flight of coffees (hot chocolate, latte and chai - also yum) and a flight of grilled cheese! Super cute location, loved the vibe and the staff were great! Will be back 😍

⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ Tried the vegan donuts and found them a bit grainy and lacking moisture. The matcha tea latte and mocha were okay, though not outstanding compared to other places we’ve tried. Service was decent and the café atmosphere was welcoming, which added to the overall experience.

I’ve always been curious about this cafe since it’s located in a strategic location at Whyte Ave. The interior is good and the coffee shop is clean. It does fall short on the drinks that they’ve served. I had a mocha, while my husband had the matcha latte. I always order a mocha to have an easy comparison across cafes. My mocha isn’t as good as others but serviceable. As for the matcha latte, it was a little too sweet.

Lovely little cafe! Solid coffee, great croissant, lovely efficient staff, working wifi and a really nice atmosphere.

I had heard positive things about PACT, and so was disappointed when I tried it out. The London fog had a bit of a chemically taste, and the to-stay mug that it comes in doubtfully holds 16 oz. The Chocolate Orange and Caramel and chip the donuts (which were advertised as "premium" and cost 6.50 each) were stale, way too sweet, and did not have any flavour other than sugar. The breakfast croissant however was flaky and tasty, but pricey for what it is. The spinach pastry was veryyy tasty, but rather pricey as well at 6.50, and I've had similar pastries for less at other establishments. The atmosphere of the place was nice. Overall l, I would not recommend given the high cost for poor quality.

I heard a lot of hype about PACT but sadly it didn't live up to the reputation. The donuts I had heard so much about were pretty flavorless and maybe even day old; not dissimilar to a grocery store boxed mini donut. Tim Hortons does a better job. The pour over coffee was disappointing. It could have been from a pot from Tim Hortons. The redeeming factors were the breakfast croissant sandwich -which was wonderfully crispy and flavourful- and the charming ambiance and decor. Definitely not a place to go for specialty coffee or for donuts even.

Coffee is good, but don't bother with the sandwiches. They're very expensive for what they are, and you can get WAY better food for less at other places on Whyte. The sandwiches seriously feel like grocery store sandwiches with the prices jacked up. Super disappointing. Gave three stars for the coffee and good service, but the food isn't worth it.

I’m traveling for work and thought I’d stop in for a quick coffee! I walked by this place and immediately the girls behind the counter were so friendly and kind - they had really great recommendations for me and the food and coffee was excellent. Such a cute vibe and a great place to go for a quick bite and a great coffee!

I got a London Fog and a cinnamon bun. The bun was great but the London Fog was DELICIOUS!!! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

We had a large mocha, a flat white and the plain bubble waffles (with berry compote and chocolate sauce). The coffee was hot and delicious. The waffles were quite tasty, with a bit of a crunchy edge. As a blind patron, I found the access good. No issues and plenty of tables available.

Loved it here, great coffee and service. I just noticed the reviewer before me said there are no lactose free milk options at all...? I get oat milk here every time and my sister gets almond...no idea what they're talking about, they always have oat, almond, soy. I definitely recommend this place.

Cute little cafe. Enjoyed the egg sandwich on the bubble waffle- it was interesting and included ample amounts of bacon and guacamole. Great portion size. The candy cane seasonal latte was really good! A nice quiet environment to get work done with table and bench seating. Outlets available. Cafe shares a location with a pharmacy which was okay but a little strange.
