It had always been my dream to ski and snowboard whistler since I was a kid. These mountains did not disappoint. Amazing views on bluebird days, amazing snow on powder days. The runs are well kept and very fun. The lifts are well maintained and fast and the waits were never worse than 10 minutes in late January. The little town at the base has everything you would ever need and more. The restaurants and pubs are fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and exciting. I’d love to come back some day.
Gorgeous scenery. The drive up from Vancouver is worth the trip alone. Massive amounts of terrain. Great snow at the top of the mountain. Awful visibility mid mountain. Slushy at the bottom of the mountain. Village is really great. Went in March. I would definitely go again.
I went during the summer and it was amazing. The scenery is breathtaking with so many hiking and biking trails to explore. Even without the snow the mountains are stunning and the village has a lot of shops, restaurants, and spots to just relax. Staff are friendly and the whole place is well maintained. Definitely a year round destination and one of the best resorts you can visit.
I had the chance to visit Blackcomb Whistler Ski last year, and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had on the slopes. The scenery is breathtaking, the facilities are excellent, and everything feels very well organized. That said, as a beginner, I found the runs a bit challenging. Even the green slopes felt more like blue ones compared to other ski resorts I’ve been to. Still, it was a great learning experience, and I’d definitely recommend it for those who are looking for both adventure and stunning mountain views. With a bit more practice, I’d love to go back and enjoy it even more!
This place is a Dream destination for skiing! The snow quality is fantastic, white & powdery ,the slopes are well-groomed, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Our full day here was worth spending. The management was also very good.
The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is an amazing experience; It starts at Whistler Mountain, takes you to Blackcomb Mountain, and from there you can take another gondola to a different peak before heading back down. The gondola between the peaks is huge, and the blue cabins have glass floors so you can see the valley below. At the top, there are restaurants and cafes, and you might spot Groundhogs. Even in summer, there’s snow and it’s cold, so be sure to bring warm clothes.
Whistler Blackcomb is awesome. I love the fact you can ski during the winter and then buy a very affordable Epic pass to Access the trekking trails and gondola during the summer. Also the Sunday farmers markets are great! Visit "Cows" for the best mint chocolate chip ice cream ever (they have other flavours too if you don't fancy mint) and Portobello at the Fairmont for real belgian chocolate mochas & hot chocolates ! Whistler is dreamy indeed.
Whistler is an incredible place for both snowboarding and biking. I’ve visited in different seasons, and I’m always impressed by the staff, the facilities, and how well everything is maintained. There are lots of trails across both mountains, making it great for all levels—from beginners to pros. Safety is clearly a priority, with support staff always around. While the sports can be pricey, Whistler often has great deals and seasonal passes. I just wish there were more flexible options for frequent visitors. I love this place and will definitely keep coming back.

Beautiful lake with a lot of picnic tables and a nice loop to walk around. The time that we went, we saw a bunch of tadpoles by the water’s edge and can just imagine all the wildlife that this lake supports. The parking lot is not very big but the lake is walkable from Whistler Village. There are lots of plant life to check out as you walk around the lake. Canine Cove is a place where you can let your dogs out onto the waters for a swim. The beach is nice and sandy and has a few logs to sit at. You can park and lock your bike at many of the bike stations available as well as a single person changing room for changing your swimming attire in the summer. There is also a concession stand open during the warmer months.
Not sure why online say no parking...but there like 10 spots + free parking (this was during 2025/April22) they have Evo ebike too! Super lovely area and great for paddleboard too!
Lovely lake, easy to find from Whistler / Blackcomb village and easy to walk around. Clearly marked trails to navigate further afield, including either back into town or up to Green Lake for a longer walk away from the main centre.
What a great place to hike, bike ride, kayak, and picnic! The main trails are wide and well maintained, with beautiful views of the lake. The picnic areas are large with lots of grass and some picnic tables. The restrooms at the park entrance are clean. Parking is a bit limited and there is no RV parking available in the main lot. Wonderful place to spend quiet time by yourself or with family and friends.
Small beach area full of kids and families. There is a dock in the middle of the lake you can swim to. Washrooms and a concession stand. Great bike trails all around, the ones to the lake are not paved. Short walk from main Whistler village.
Always lovely to visit, 4 seasons tranquility. This time I loved the toad migration traffic closures, so considerate!
Beautiful lake nice grass areas.
If you are in Whistler, you need to visit Lost Lake. The trailhead to go towards lost lake is walkable from the whistler village. It’s a short trail that takes you to the main lake beach and you can continue to loop around the lake. We met a lot of folks on the lake and trail so it’s a popular spot if you prefer hiking around the people. Also met a lot of dogs so it seems like a dog loved spot!! There were clean restrooms at the main beach.

My friends and I recently visited this beautiful cultural centre in Whistler. Aside from the space being bright and inviting, the exhibits were really interesting. We were just in time for a short walking tour that started after a short video in the theater. I recommend watching the video and taking the tour as the lovely lady provided additional information about the exhibits that was very interesting. Two young gentlemen performed a song with drumming that I sat and listened to and found absolutely enchanting. I even got a bit emotional listening to them. The First Nation appreciation of the Earth and nature is something that I truly admire and appreciate. I highly recommend coming to this cultural centre on your visit to Whistler.
Highly recommend you visit this cultural centre when in Whistler. We had lunch on arriving as we had just been up the Peak-to-Peak gondola and needed a rest! The salmon Chowder with bannock (a sort of fried bread roll) was absolutely fabulous. We then joined the tour (starts in the hour). A young man played a drum and sang a traditional song - beautiful and quite moving. Followed by a short video and a guided tour - really helpful to understand the lifestyle, culture and skills if the two tribes (Lil’wat and Squamish).
We decided to check it out on a Sunday morning and it was a really good experience! It’s well managed with detailed instructions and descriptions of the Squamish Lil’wat peoples, who have a long history in the area. They have guided tours that are included in the ticket but you can also do a self-guided tour if you’d like. There are two floors, with the upper floor opening up to an open forest area, which was a highlight for me. It’s a forest walk which helps you understand the significance of trees, animals and all things nature in their culture. Must visit! 5/5
Get here. Soak in the story of this place. Watch the introductory video, then meander through 2 floors of exquisite exhibits. Visit the lodge, and the pit house. Take your time. Then look outside, and feel the history made here. Buy a memento or two in the tasteful (not tacky) gift shop, and finish with a coffee and light dessert. You’ll be glad you came. ❤️
What a wonderful experience at Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre tour. Amazing exhibition and lot of learning during the tour. Outside of walking hill with full of Medison nature of forest west coast region. You must visit this beautiful and educational Cultural Center in Whistler.
We were able to join one of the tours (on the top of the hour) and had such a good experience. I don't think we would have learned as much just reading the signs. I found particularly impressive for how long people used to work on their traditional clothing - as well as all the things that can be made with cedar. The building is beautiful and the exhibits are quite interesting, you can see canoes, regalia, stories, building structure, and learn about the language. There is also a nice gift shop with native art and a café to relax.
Very much enjoyed the cultural center and learning about the Squamish and Lil’wat cultures. The building is stunning, the displays are very interesting and the film is a definite must. The young staff members did a great job on the tours.
If weather is not so convenient. This is the best indoor place to look for. Where you can realx and watch the show regarding the first nation people and their rituals. Everything was explained very well and Accurate

Nature & Parks
Park with a 70-m. waterfall over a wall of volcanic rocks, plus hiking trails & picnic areas.
Slide 1 of 8
Brandywine Falls Provincial Park is a stunning natural gem located just off the Sea-to-Sky Highway near Whistler. The highlight is the breathtaking 70-meter waterfall, surrounded by lush forests and rugged cliffs. The park offers well-maintained trails that lead to several lookout points, providing spectacular views of the falls and the surrounding mountains. It's a perfect spot for a peaceful hike, photography, and enjoying nature. The park also features picnic areas and ample parking. Whether you're visiting for a short stop or a longer hike, Brandywine Falls is a must-see for anyone exploring the Whistler area.
The views at Brandywine Falls are just stunning. Easy parking at the start of the walk to the falls is followed by a beautiful walk though the forest on an easy path, across a train line to that viewing point for the falls. Just beyond this spot there is a stunning viewpoint stretching out across the valley. Highly recommend stopping by.
Amazing place to go but get there early because the parking lot gets packed really quickly. If you're into hiking, try the sea to sky trail. If you want to do the major loop that takes you along the trail all the way to the suspension bridge and then up the gravel road to the bungee jump bridge you're looking at about a 4-Hour to 5-hour hike. If you don't want to be traveling that far then just go to the bungee jump via the wide well-kept trail that is marked at Brandywine just after the railroad tracks. It's 2.7 km and very well maintained almost like a gravel road. Lots of great stuff for you to see and at one of one of the areas. The rock formations are pretty cool. The first time I saw it I thought somebody had laid down some paving stones. Those are some beautiful lakes to sit down and have a lunch.
The waterfall was cool. The area around it showed so much erosion and I was told it gets three times the size of the photos. The surrounding cliff was very beautiful as well. You could see the layers very clearly.
Nice simple walk to the falls from the parking lot. Great views of the falls and the water down below from various viewing areas. Recommend to go see if you have a car in the whistler area.
## Brandywine Falls Provincial Park: A Quick Escape with Cascading Beauty Brandywine Falls Provincial Park, located just outside Whistler, offers a beautiful natural wonder easily accessible for travelers along the Sea to Sky Highway. Here's a quick rundown of what to expect: **Majestic Waterfall:** The park's star attraction is the namesake Brandywine Falls, a cascading waterfall tumbling over 230 feet. A short, well-maintained trail leads from the parking lot to a viewing platform offering stunning views of the falls. **Perfect for a Short Stop:** This park is ideal for those seeking a quick break from the car journey. The entire walk to the viewing platform and back takes less than 20 minutes, making it a manageable stop for families or travelers with limited time. **Limited Amenities:** There are no restrooms, shops, or concession stands within the park. Be sure to use facilities and grab any snacks or drinks you might need before arriving. **Easy Accessibility:** Brandywine Falls Provincial Park is very easy to find and access. There's a well-marked parking lot right off the highway, and the trail to the falls is short and paved, suitable for all ages and fitness levels. **Keep in mind:** There have been reports of the parking lot being closed occasionally. It's a good idea to have a backup plan in case you encounter a closure. **Overall:** Brandywine Falls Provincial Park is a great choice for a quick and scenic stop along the Sea to Sky Highway. The impressive waterfall and easy accessibility make it a worthwhile detour for anyone wanting to experience a piece of beautiful British Columbia wilderness. Just be prepared for the lack of amenities and the possibility of a closed parking lot.
Nice little detour on our way to whistler. A short walk along a well kept track to a good view of the falls . The path continues a while longer with more views of the falls and a beautiful view across the valley. We managed to spot a majestic eagle soaring below us in the valley which really made it special.
On a whim, my wife and I decided to go see the Brandywine waterfalls on a Sunday morning and we embarked on a scenic road trip from Vancouver. The parking area near the trailhead is convenient, and there are a decent number of restrooms next to the parking lot. The trail path is well-maintained and is a very easy walk of 10 minutes, making it accessible for most hikers. The trail is dog-friendly, and we encountered several furry friends along the way, which added to the charm of the experience. But oh, the falls! Standing at 70 meters tall, Brandywine Falls is a spectacle to behold. The sheer force of the water cascading down into the gorge creates a mesmerizing sight and an incredible photo opportunity. Despite its popularity, the area never felt too crowded, allowing us to soak in the beauty of nature without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. If you're a nature enthusiast or just looking for a refreshing day trip from Vancouver, Brandywine Falls should be on your list for its ease of access and stunning natural beauty.

Amazing experience!!! Ride a bobsled! Feel like an Olympian!!! Well organized, knowledgeable staff and super efficient!! The only downside is that it’s only one-ride. Highly recommended.
This was amazing! I was so nervous at first, but it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity! I’m so glad that I got to do it with my 12 year-old son. Everyone was very nice there and very helpful. Thank you!
Had a great time. The staff was great , from the orientation to the pilots. Loved the track walk and the experience. Loved the boost in speed as we got close to the end.
My family toured the centre in August, simply because a facility like this is rare and unique (and my family likes the movie Cool Runnings). It's free to go into the main building and to the track. The centre is located up a windy hill and walking wasn't recommended by the tourist Visitor Centre so we took a cab that was $10 each way. The main building has a bobsled you can jump into and a small display about the history of the spirt and the facility. There's another bobsled you can try outside as well as a section of the ammonia cooled track. It's a small walk up the hill into the track area and you can watch people on their runs. For the runs, you go with a random staff member, two of which were Olympians.
Hollering from actual mountains what an amazing experience Whistler Sliding Centre was!! All proceeds go back to the kids that are crazy enough to pursue this as a sport. ❤️❄️ Thank you for such an awesome night filled with WOWs and laughter!!! 🤘🏼
Absolutely loved our bobsled experience! Staff was super friendly and helpful. You start by being driven to the top of the track and walking down the first part of the track. Really interesting learning about how it all works. We even had a bear walk right past the track while we were on it! As a family of 4, we all fit into one sled with the instructor at the back. The ride was awesome. Super fast but felt safe and controlled. A fantastic experience. Go pro footage available for 29 dollars. Would definitely highly recommend, but next time I would book as two two's rather than a four. You can't really see much of the track as you go down if you're not at the front.
This was such a fun experience. Was fascinating and informative to walk the Olympic sliding track. You really get an understanding of what is involved in the three sliding sports and how fast they go. The actual ride (summer on wheels) is quick but you get the full feeling of what it is like to be on a bobsled. Highly recommend!
While I generally don't care for rollercoasters and other adrenaline-junky activities, the summer bobsledding experience was something I just couldn't pass up during my time in Whistler. After it was all over, I was so glad I did it--what a rush! The staff at the Sliding Centre was great, keeping us calm and confident as we toured the track, donned our helmets, and pushed off from the start line. Our pilot, Peter, (a two-time Olympian and current coach) got us up to just under 90kph, clocking us in with the fastest time of the day. What a great opportunity to participate in such a unique sport! The videos, photos, and memories are things I'll cherish forever. Mike (London, ON)

By far the BEST mountain bike park. Everything about the bike park is great. The food, it can use improvement. I mean there really isn’t a grab and go there. Sometimes you want a sandwich but The closest thing is the grocery store but it’s a ways from the lifts.
Amazing place to ride Bikes. Best trails in the world and best chair lift as well. Glad I bought a seasons pass for this year and am Looking forward to Crankwork! Gotta' Love British Columbia !!!
This year was my second time visiting with my teenage son. The bike park is absolutely exhilarating. While there are green runs it's my opinion this is not for beginners. The park is designed for mountain bikers with developed skills.
Well they call it best park/area for mountainbiking for a reason! So many trails, so much variety. Impossible to not have a good time 😄 Need to come back!
The park is really well built with something for most riders! Great mixture of jump trails and technical trails. There are some really cool trails that incorporate some wooden bridges! The line-ups not so great, expect long waits most weekends!
For mountainbikes the facilities at Whistler are an outstanding place to be and should be high on the to-do list. For travellers who haven't brought their bike there are a good range of shops hiring bikes to suit all riders. I recommend booking in advance. Expect to pay around $140-180 depending on that type of bike. The downhill sections are outstanding in the bike park and cater to all levels of skill. If you're a mountain biker then a visit should be a priority.
I'm 63 years old and this was great fun on EZ does it. Good times with my lady friends 🚵‍♀️

If you want to avoid the crowds, there are plenty of seats where you can sit and relax with a cup of coffee, and I brought my cat out to sunbathe in the fresh air. There are excellent views of the mountains.
Make sure to buy a gondola from Heesler and go up. It's worth going up without skiing, and it's really beautiful and magnificent. It was in mid-April when we went, but the snow was piled up overhead. It was crazy beautiful and reminded me of Interlaken in Switzerland. I strongly recommend you to visit one.
The Whistler Olympic Plaza is gorgeous, no matter which season you're visiting Whistler. We visited on January 1st and were delighted with the space. There's a large snowy area for kids to play, and a lovely complimentary outdoor ice rink. I miss the outdoor firepits, but I can imagine they weren't great for the environment. Fantastic outdoor water and public bathroom facilities.
This olympic village in Whistler is a viewers delight. All branded stores are present along with restaurants offering world cuisine.
A nice place to sit and have coffee while the kids enjoy the excellent playground. Lots of food options and two different coffee shops too. There are often events or concerts but other times, especially in the morning it is very quiet. There are excellent views of the mountains. Wow!
Was invited to a well organized, respectful private event "A Bicycle Rave" We started at the Whistler Olympic Plaza beautiful place, off we went thru the village to a secluded location. We did come back and shop the next morning ❣️
Just like our traditional after we moved to BC. We came to visit this place on family day weekend every year for skate and the kids had so much fun because they loved snow. A lot of restaurants and shops for you to visit so convenient for washrooms and parking spot everywhere around. The playground where my daughters never wanted to leave. So see you again next year
Such a lovely place full of beautiful plants and flowers, neat little shops to stroll along and sufficient space to just laze around. Fall is a great time to visit with beautiful colours. Purebread is a very nice little bakery here which I’d recommend too.

Pretty nice trail and very easy for everyone. Nice suspension bridge that you will have to cross and the train wreck itself is nice. Would recommend for a simple trail. Parking lot just outside seemed to have a good amount of spots.
Cool to see. The train cars are about a 20-30 minute walk from the parking area depending on your pace.

Terrific art collection including west coast indigenous masks and carvings, Emily Carr, EJ Hughes, and more! Stunning architectural purpose built building. Well curated gift shop. Don't miss this gem while visiting Whistler.
Been waiting for exploring this great museum for 3 years haha! The permanent exhibition of indigenous First Nation mask collection from the great artist Beau Dick has been stunning! The current great photographer works of snowy mountain landscapes are awesome too! The architectural design of the whole museum itself is already somewhere you wanna just stay and read and relax in Whistler here! ❤️❤️🌷🌷👍👍
Our visit to the Audain Art Museum was a total pleasure. We’d never heard of the museum before and it was only because an acquaintance recommended a special exhibit, Gathered Leaves, that we decided to make the 2-hour drive from Vancouver to Whistler. We were amazed by the beautiful architecture of the museum building, simple and elegant and still stunning. We visited the Gathered Leaves exhibit and were impressed by the works displayed. These were sketches and drawings from the National Gallery of Canada, which included work by artists such as Degas, Munch, and older artists. We also visited the Permanent Collection which consumed another great and enjoyable amount of time. First Nations artwork and work by EJ Hughes and Gordon Smith captured our attention the most. Overall, this was a wonderful day and we strongly recommend the museum – plus, if you’re not a Whistler resident, you get to experience a fantastic drive along the coast!
We liked the architecture but the exhibits did not meet our expectations. The masks were really cool but we wanted more details and information on each individual mask. We felt there was a lot lacking.
A beautifully well curated collection within a stunning space. Don’t miss Emily Carr’s works from France, or Douglas Coupland’s Tobacco Iceberg (2023).
Great little museum in Whistler - features local BC and Canadian artists. Really cool to see where I grew up through their eyes
I was in Whistler looking for activities outside of mountain biking and came across the Audain Art Museum. I visited with my family and was pleasantly surprised by how impressive the collection is. The museum features a vast and beautifully curated selection of artwork focused on British Columbia, spanning from the late 18th century to the present day. If you’re looking for something to do in Whistler beyond the slopes and trails, I highly recommend checking this place out. The space is peaceful, the exhibits are stunning, and there’s even a charming little gift shop where you can pick up something unique. A wonderful experience all around!
We loved the art and the architecture of the building. I would highly recommend a visit. I would suggest that they offer a day per week where the admission is by donation. Most people would still pay the full price, but this would open the museum up to people that can't afford the normal admission fees (and half of the poor reviews are purely based on ticket prices - which is sad).

Trail Series, Part 34 “Bicycle, bicycle, bicycle. I want to ride my bicycle, bicycle, bicycle. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like.” Queen Does riding a bike while in the mountains sound appealing, but the part that involves barreling down bumpy terrain that makes your teeth chatter, maybe not so much? Well not to worry, ‘cuz we’ve got you covered! There just happens to be approximately 50 km of trails in and around the Whistler Village that are easily navigated (and numerous opportunities to rent your bike and safety equipment). We began our journey in Whistler Village and rode the Valley Trail on our visits to Lost Lake, Green Lake, Alta Lake, Nita Lake, and Alpha Lake, while enjoying views of the mountains that seemed to surround us on all sides. This trail is mostly flat, is maintained in excellent fashion, displays clear directional signage throughout, and nearly all of its sections are paved. While there are some hills to contend with, none of them should discourage riders of any ability level (or those with mobility issues). This is a great opportunity to meander off the beaten path and explore some of the nuances of the Whistler Village area, with numerous food or beverage provisions available throughout your self-directed journey. In keeping with Canadian tradition, we were careful to pack an “Oh Henry!” bar as part of our emergency rations (which we finally consumed given that none of our adventures this week involved a search and rescue team). And that’s…Henry’s Take. #bikingwhistler
Fantastic Trail to run or bike around Whistler Golf Course. Easily accessible from the village.
Nice walk, watch out for bikes!

We wanted to try out the snowshoeing at the Olympic Park and were not disappointed. For $12 we had access to well maintained trails and glorious views. For our first visit we chose the "walk with Giants" trail which is a moderately hard snowshoe through the forest of Doug Firs, Cedars and Hemlock. We emerged behind the Olympic ski-jump, to stunning views across the valley. We pretty much had the trail to ourselves, even though it was a Saturday in peak season. Ski patrol checked up on us and the staff at the lodge and the main gate were friendly and helpful. What a great day!
We were there on Thursday the 11th around 8:30 pm. It was closed, but a very kind lady still served us in a very pleasant and correct manner, helping us manage our needs even outside of business hours. Without her help, we probably wouldn't have been able to stay there. I will definitely return
Came here for snowshoeing in winter and tent camping in summer. Snowshoeing: definitely will come back as the views and trails were great. You share a bit of the path with the cross country skiers which are typical for snowshoeing. Tent camping: Only return if the other nearby campgrounds are not available. Lack of shades and the sites have no privacy at all. Nice lodge, showers and amenities. A couple hiking trails nearby and you can hike up to ski jump. When we were here in summer 2024, it seemed quiet hours were respected and enforced.
This is the site of the 2010 Nordic Olympic events. In the summer there is lots to do including hiking, biking, site seeing, biathlon (shooting), disc golf, pickleball, camping. It is a great place for kids and includes a unique climbing structure (playground). The day lodge has foosball, ping pong, board games, and comfy places to sit. A cafe is open all day with a wide variety of food and drinks. Gift store, too. Bring your bug spray and bug nets.
Regarding the multi-use campground: The place is awesome. The views, the bathrooms, the showers, the washroom, they're all top-of-the-line. The major problems are: the extremely small campsites, coupled with the people who have no regard for their neighbors. By 0600, our neighbor's alarm had gone off four times (I had to notify them their alarm was going off twice, after their alarm had gone off for more than five minutes), another neighbor (two or three spots down) had a very bad cough and we could clearly hear her up late, and early. Another's kid came into our camp after we went to bed and tripped over our tent stakes, I could very clearly hear people snoring. And lastly, our immediate neighbor's kid woke up early and could only speak at one volume (loud), despite repeated efforts from their father to get them to quiet down. Correction: The neighbor's alarm just went off for a fifth time - and the snorer is still going. I recommend going somewhere where people aren't camping on top of each other, you can get a good night's sleep, and you can actually enjoy nature.
Snowshoeing at Whistler Olympic Park is an unforgettable winter experience. The trails are beautifully maintained, winding through a serene landscape of towering evergreens and fresh, powdery snow. It’s peaceful, with just the crunch of your steps breaking the stillness, making you feel like you’re in your own winter wonderland. The highlight of the trek is Alexander Falls, and it’s nothing short of breathtaking. This towering, frozen cascade glistens under its snowy blanket, an absolute showstopper that feels like nature’s version of a grand finale. Standing there, surrounded by untouched wilderness, it’s impossible not to feel a sense of awe. Whether you’re new to snowshoeing or a seasoned pro, this park delivers a magical escape into nature. It’s not just a trek—it’s an experience that leaves you exhilarated, refreshed, and a little more connected to the winter world around you. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable adventure in Whistler.
We truly appreciated the warm welcome upon our arrival yesterday. The employee did everything to help us, with a big smile and great kindness.
We had such an amazing experience visiting here. We never skied before, but we took the ski lesson and we’re also able to join the free guided tour. The instructors (Michael, Anuk and Chris) were so passionate and helpful. By end of our lesson, we got enough tips and confidence to try out on our own and skied few more hours. Absolutely loved the experience. We shall visit again!

The Whistler Visitor Centre is a great first stop when visiting this fantastic place! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great advice and recommendations for exploring the area. From there, it's easy to see why Whistler is such a popular destination. Getting there was a breeze - I took the convenient bus from Burrard Station (booking my ticket online in advance was super easy). The village itself is charming and pedestrian-friendly, with a great vibe. There's so much to do, from exploring the shops and restaurants to enjoying the stunning mountain views. I also noticed lots of people renting bikes, which looked like a fun way to get around. Whether you're into outdoor activities or just relaxing, Whistler has something for everyone. Highly recommend checking it out!
Maybe it was the summer rain or just the quiet of a town without snow, but everything felt a little still. I was surprised to find a %Arabica café here and stepped in for a moment. I didn’t get a coffee myself, just ordered one for a friend, but the space had a quiet warmth that lingered, especially on a rainy summer day.
Super friendly staff at the visitor centre! There are stores inside (with a super tiny Tim Hortons) and nice guides and maps for tourists. Maria was patient and informed us of the paths that we had to take and some tips to get the most out of Whistler. Nice starting point for the trip!
Thank you Marie for the assistance you gave me during my stay in Whisler village. The visit to green lake was lovely, free transit on bus #10 was great. Appreciate your support. Jossie
The Whistler Visitor Centre is a great first stop - super friendly staff with tons of great tips for hikes and things to do around the area. Definitely ask them in person (don’t use the chat!) — they’re so helpful and welcoming. There’s even a tiny Tim Hortons inside. Perfect place to start exploring this beautiful village!
Nice visitor center in Whistler. You can ask them for everything that you want to do in Whistler. They have nice hikes and tips for you. Ask them live but don't use the chat! On the chat they tell you to look at alltrails! Thanks 😂☑️
Our family had been enjoying our trip to Whistler until we visited the Whistler Information Centre to ask about shuttle bus information. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we first arrived, an older staff member asked us to move away from the lineup, even though the sign clearly indicated “line starts here.” When it was our turn at the counter, another staff member, Sue, responded to our question with impatience and visible frustration. When I politely tried to confirm her answer, she was dismissive and rude. What made the experience even more disheartening was that, from my observation, most white visitors were greeted with smiles and friendliness, whereas our family—being people of colour—did not receive the same courtesy. This left us feeling unwelcome and singled out. In hindsight, we should have simply looked up the shuttle information online rather than visiting the centre, as no one should leave feeling insulted or discriminated against. As Canada is a diverse and welcoming country known for its friendly people, I respectfully request that the appropriate authority address this matter to ensure that all visitors are treated with fairness and respect.
My friends and I had such an incredible time exploring Whistler. If you ever plan to visit for a short period of time I recommend at least 3-5 days. The Gondola ride to see the Whistler mountain and peak-to-peak is a must! You only need one ticket to ride on their Gondolas. Once your on top of the mountain, you can go hiking and explore the natures. Winter time they offer varieties Winter activities-skiing, snowboarding, etc. Summer- tons of bike riding hiking, etc. Gondola ends at 5pm so be sure you have your schedule set!

Love the Whistler Public Library. It’s so nice from the outside and the inside has so much resources available. Other than books, there are also many library programs to join, laptops to sign out, study areas, board games, and spaces for quiet reading. There are also some art throughout the library to check out. It was very peaceful when I went in and I enjoyed checking out the resources available.
I visited around lunchtime on a weekday, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. There were a few people reading and studying, but it wasn’t crowded at all perfect for focusing. The interior was clean, well-organized, and felt welcoming. One of the best parts is that free Wi-Fi is available, so it’s a great place to bring your laptop and get some work done. There are seats by large windows with beautiful forest views, and quiet study zones are also available. There’s also a dedicated area for kids, making it a family-friendly spot. The displayed artwork and colorful decor add a warm and inviting touch. The building itself has a stylish and modern exterior. Right behind the library, there’s a small park great for a walk or a picnic after you’re done reading. Whether you’re visiting Whistler and need a cozy space to read, study, or get work done this library is a true hidden gem. 👉 한적하고 따뜻한 분위기의 휘슬러 도서관, 조용한 공간에서 집중하고 싶을 때 추천합니다.
What a cool library! A welcoming crosswalk. Cool architecture. Full of art and ideas. You can borrow a laptop and sit at a counter, a table, in a room or on the floor. I love the collection and the kid's section. Did I mention that there is a sewing room? A course would be a great way to learn how the machine works and a chance to learn about mending and making things!
A nice little library in an aesthetically built building. Feels heavenly during winter, watching the flurries and snow outside through the large windows. I won't call it very quiet, but the other factors make it a place worth spending a few spare hours you may have. If being among books sounds relaxing or fun to you, don't hesitate to drop in for a visit on your next Whistler trip.
Nice seating areas, beautiful design and outside scenery, but the experience? Just terrible. The staff don’t do anything to tell people to be quiet, which basically makes people just talk at whatever volume they want, there’s people on calls, kids screaming and crying, people talking at an outdoor level volume, it genuinely sounds like a restaurant. It’s so hard to focus on your work, reading etc. And the fact that there’s not a sound barrier between the kids area and the normal library is just ridiculous. This is a library for goodness sakes, it should be QUIET.
Likely the coolest library in BC. Nestled in the middle of Whistler Village surrounded by trees and nature. The staff are very friendly and have welcoming vibe. Family friendly and a good place to take your kids for some readings to do. Natalie in the kids section was awesome answering all my questions. Thanks!
The Whistler Public Library is one of my favourite spaces in Whistler! We are so fortunate to have an incredible space and team working to provide this community with social and cultural activities as well as a place to read, learn, study, relax, and gather. Early on in my Whistler experience living in crowded, high density housing I thought of the library as my "living room", a much needed place to escape to and the first place in town as a new arrival where I felt part of a community. Thank you for providing an inclusive and welcoming space. Check out their "unusual items" collection and events calendar if books aren't your thing! This place is incredible, thank you!!
This is my favorite place in Whistler! I come to Whistler pretty often (mostly I'm just a driver for my husband, who's riding a bike), and when I want to have some quiet time and escape from the crowd I go to the library or even stay in that small, cute park behind the library. They also have a nice children's area with a small separate play/feeding room and a washroom.

Really beautiful spot. No hike, just a minute walk from the parking lot. The road that leads to the falls is very well maintained and nice wooden spot to enjoy the view. Bonus- its very less busy compared to the other attractions on Sea to Sky.
Stunning waterfall when it surrounds with snow. It’s hard to find the path to the waterfall because of thick snow layers. Safely park near road in winter but be careful about road signs.
We went to see this waterfall at the end of May. It was big, powerful and right near the parking lot. We maybe walked 20 feet to see it from the viewing place.
Alexander Falls, what a sight! It's a real beauty. I gotta say, it's way bigger than I expected. The best part? It's just a quick 15-minute drive from the BC 99 highway, so super convenient to reach. Now, I visited during a drier period, so the water levels weren't at their peak, but I can only imagine how spectacular it'd be in spring. Plus, here's the kicker: we practically had the place to ourselves for a good while - a perfect place for those seeking a peaceful experience. And here's the cherry on top - no hiking required. You can kick back and enjoy the view right from the parking lot!
After seeing all of the people at Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls, I was hoping that not many people knew about this place. Just about 15mins north of Brandywine Falls and almost deserted. No hike involved... the falls can be seen from the parking lot. It didn't look as impressive as I've seen in the past but that was probably when there was more snow melt. Watch out for the bugs... they were swarming around us as soon as we got out of the car. Even tho we've been here before, we still missed the turn off... could have used some better signage.
Well worth it , its a stunning waterfall at anytime of the year. Its got a viewing platform. Its got trails around . Its got a parking lot . Its got washroom outhouses . Its close to whistler not that far and not too far from the train wreck and brandywine falls too .
Beautiful falls, no hike required, but be careful, there are many bears.
A waterfall along Seat to Sky Hwy that is different from Shannon falls, Brandywine falls, and Nairn Falls. This waterfall is located 10 km off Sea to Sky Hwy, and the road leading to the falls is quite scenic.

Did the Brewing Company Tour and highly recommend it! (Hidden) Gem just outside of the center of Whistler. Super friendly and enthusiastic employees, very personal and fun experience. Great food as well, even though the beer is still the MVP.
Whistler Brewing is a stop on BC Ale Trail. Located near Whistler and offering a comfortable rustic brewery experience. Great craft beer, good food options, eclectic seating, outside seating, patio seating, free parking and many screens to enjoy sports. Friendly staff and easy to access from the highway.
Hidden gem outside of Whistler. We shared the potato skins and a pizza and both were an amazing combo. This place is super nice inside and you can sit either outside or inside but there’s also different types Of tables. The staff are so lovely and the prices pretty fair. I will go back!
We celebrated Mother's Day by having lunch here, sitting on the patio with our dogs and toddler. The staff was incredibly friendly and catered to our needs. Our virgin Caesars were delicious, especially since I usually like mine dirty. The wood-burning pizza was the highlight; it was the best we've had in Whistler. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad and and mussels in coconut curry; they were amazing. Even my son devoured the kids' pasta. Overall, everything was fantastic! The vibe at the restaurant was top-notch, with excellent food, drinks, service, and location, all deserving a 10/10 rating.
Whistler Brewing Company has truly stood the test of time and has somehow improved even further. We first discovered it eight years ago, and upon returning, we found the same amazing vibe, now with a little extra polish. The beers were outstanding, with the Grapefruit Ale and the Variable Conditions Hazy IPA standing out as particularly refreshing and full of character. A huge shout-out to Hugh and the rest of the team for making us feel right at home. With its chill indoor space and lively patio, the brewery has something for every kind of hiking or biking day mood. If you’re anywhere near Whistler, do yourself a favor and stop by for a pint (or two). Whistler Brewing, please don’t ever change!
We are glad we made the drive from Langley. First, we had the nachos and they were excellent. Great toppings, lots of condiments and a good size to split with someone. Second, we had a flight of beer and all were delicious but the Tusk dark ale was THE best dark ale that both of us have ever tried... Seriously. Third and most important, I didn't catch his name, the guy working the bar was from Quebec. He was excellent and really made the visit. He really talked up the Tusk dark ale stating that "his blood is 50% Tusk dark ale." He had some great comments about each of the beer selections that we made and had some great stories that we all laughed about. It was our pleaseure to meet him and enjoy an afternoon at the Whistler Brewing Company Taphouse. We are already looking forward to a return visit.
Best brewery in all of B.C. All the beers I tried were bangers but particularly, their Chestnut Ale is legit one of the best beers I've ever had. I've been to over 100 breweries in the world and this is my top five favorites. Really wish I could get their beer imported back home!
We've been coming up to Whistler for years and haven't made it to Whistler Brewing until this year and we regret not coming sooner! Our bartender/server/comedian Hughes (sorry if that's wrong!) Definitely made the whole experience that much better. Its been a long time since we laughed that hard on a beer tasting. We liked every beer we tried, we loved both the nachos and the pizza. Honestly every employee we chatted with was awesome, this place really has a 5 star team. Thank you so much for an amazing experience and we definitely be back!!

Rainbow Park in Whistler is a paradise for dogs and dog lovers alike. The highlight is Barking Bay, where dogs can roam off-leash, swim in the lake, and play on the spacious grassy areas. It’s the perfect spot for a game of fetch or just letting them run freely. The surroundings are stunning, with diverse and vibrant plants that add to the park’s charm. We enjoyed our meals here on two consecutive days during our Whistler trip and loved every moment. Highly recommended for a relaxing and joyful time with your furry friends!
Gorgeous stop to visit year round. During the winter the lake is frozen and the snow is beautiful ❤️. During the summer the lake makes a great canoeing and fishing spot with lots of docks to stop at. Must see spot!
Rainbow Park in Whistler is a fantastic spot for a fun day out! The park offers plenty of docks where you can jump into the water, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. There are also great picnic spots, making it ideal for a relaxing afternoon with friends or family. The park has beach volleyball courts and even a designated area for dogs, where they can join in the fun and enjoy the water. One of the best features is the sandy beach, which adds to the overall experience. However, it does get quite busy on weekends and holidays, so plan accordingly if you’re looking for a quieter visit.
*Rainbow Park* is a true jewel of Whistler, offering an unbeatable combination of natural beauty, relaxation, and recreational activities. Situated on the shores of Alta Lake, this park boasts stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the iconic Rainbow Mountain. The scenery alone is enough to make it worth the visit, but there’s so much more to love about this spot. The park's sandy beach is perfect for lounging on a sunny day, and the crystal-clear waters of Alta Lake invite you to take a refreshing dip or enjoy a peaceful paddle. Whether you're into swimming, paddleboarding, or kayaking, the lake offers endless opportunities for water fun. The grassy areas are spacious and well-maintained, making it ideal for picnics, sunbathing, or a friendly game of frisbee. For those looking to explore, there are walking and biking trails that wind through the park and connect to the larger Whistler trail network. The park is family-friendly, with plenty of space for kids to run around, and it’s dog-friendly too, with a designated off-leash area. What really sets *Rainbow Park* apart is its tranquil atmosphere. Even on busy days, there’s a sense of peacefulness here that allows you to unwind and soak in the natural surroundings. Whether you’re visiting for a quick afternoon escape or spending the whole day, *Rainbow Park* is the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, offering something for everyone. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to experience Whistler's outdoor beauty at its finest!
Rainbow park provides you with the most beautiful and stunning views of lake Alta which is not far from whistler village. This is a great place to run away from the heat of summer and spend quality time with your family and pets. The water is very clean and you can spend nice time while swimming. Moreover, you could also do kayaking and rent boats there. A nice place and will surely visit it again.
We went in October 28, weather was great and road condition was good as well. All Gandola lines were closed for winter preparation. Rainbow park was saviour of the trip.
Came to Rainbow Park on a Friday at around 12:30. There is paid street parking in the area. This was my first experience swimming in a lake, and it was just okay. I guess I had a different image in my head. Some grass areas were wet/muddy due to sprinklers, and most of the good sitting areas were already taken. The water is cold and just doesn't look too clean - but maybe this is normal for lakes? I probably only stayed in the water for 5 minutes before I started wondering if I would catch something. If swimming in the lake is not for you, I think there is also a hiking trail nearby.
Beautiful beach with a few docks, lots of picnic tables, beach volleyball courts and hammocks. One of the docks has a built in net to splash on which is super cool! Our family loved it here! Also parking is paid and also limited so make sure you get there early on a hot day.
