Bodies of Water
Lost Lake is a stunning mountain lake near Whistler, perfect for a variety of outdoor activities. It's a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and fishing, with floating docks scattered throughout the lake. The area offers hiking and biking trails as well as skiing in the winter months. Locals love to visit this secluded oasis to relax or enjoy activities like Frisbee golf and sightseeing on the nearby ski hill.
Beautiful lake with a lot of picnic tables and a nice loop to walk around. The time that we went, we saw a bunch of tadpoles by the water’s edge and can just imagine all the wildlife that this lake supports. The parking lot is not very big but the lake is walkable from Whistler Village. There are lots of plant life to check out as you walk around the lake. Canine Cove is a place where you can let your dogs out onto the waters for a swim. The beach is nice and sandy and has a few logs to sit at. You can park and lock your bike at many of the bike stations available as well as a single person changing room for changing your swimming attire in the summer. There is also a concession stand open during the warmer months.

Not sure why online say no parking...but there like 10 spots + free parking (this was during 2025/April22) they have Evo ebike too! Super lovely area and great for paddleboard too!
Scott T — Google review
Lovely lake, easy to find from Whistler / Blackcomb village and easy to walk around. Clearly marked trails to navigate further afield, including either back into town or up to Green Lake for a longer walk away from the main centre.
Oliver C — Google review
What a great place to hike, bike ride, kayak, and picnic! The main trails are wide and well maintained, with beautiful views of the lake. The picnic areas are large with lots of grass and some picnic tables. The restrooms at the park entrance are clean. Parking is a bit limited and there is no RV parking available in the main lot. Wonderful place to spend quiet time by yourself or with family and friends.
Roni W — Google review
Small beach area full of kids and families. There is a dock in the middle of the lake you can swim to. Washrooms and a concession stand. Great bike trails all around, the ones to the lake are not paved. Short walk from main Whistler village.
Shawn — Google review
Always lovely to visit, 4 seasons tranquility. This time I loved the toad migration traffic closures, so considerate!

If you are in Whistler, you need to visit Lost Lake. The trailhead to go towards lost lake is walkable from the whistler village. It’s a short trail that takes you to the main lake beach and you can continue to loop around the lake. We met a lot of folks on the lake and trail so it’s a popular spot if you prefer hiking around the people. Also met a lot of dogs so it seems like a dog loved spot!! There were clean restrooms at the main beach.

Whistler Blackcomb is a renowned year-round resort offering a variety of activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, and more. It boasts over 8,000 acres and 200 trails across two mountains. Ski Magazine named it the best overall resort in North America in 2016. The charming Whistler Village provides world-class apres-ski cuisine and fine wines from the Okanagan Valley.
It had always been my dream to ski and snowboard whistler since I was a kid. These mountains did not disappoint. Amazing views on bluebird days, amazing snow on powder days. The runs are well kept and very fun. The lifts are well maintained and fast and the waits were never worse than 10 minutes in late January. The little town at the base has everything you would ever need and more. The restaurants and pubs are fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and exciting. I’d love to come back some day.
Liam M — Google review
Gorgeous scenery. The drive up from Vancouver is worth the trip alone. Massive amounts of terrain. Great snow at the top of the mountain. Awful visibility mid mountain. Slushy at the bottom of the mountain. Village is really great. Went in March. I would definitely go again.
Josh C — Google review
I went during the summer and it was amazing. The scenery is breathtaking with so many hiking and biking trails to explore. Even without the snow the mountains are stunning and the village has a lot of shops, restaurants, and spots to just relax. Staff are friendly and the whole place is well maintained. Definitely a year round destination and one of the best resorts you can visit.
Val T — Google review
I had the chance to visit Blackcomb Whistler Ski last year, and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had on the slopes. The scenery is breathtaking, the facilities are excellent, and everything feels very well organized. That said, as a beginner, I found the runs a bit challenging. Even the green slopes felt more like blue ones compared to other ski resorts I’ve been to. Still, it was a great learning experience, and I’d definitely recommend it for those who are looking for both adventure and stunning mountain views. With a bit more practice, I’d love to go back and enjoy it even more!
Ugyen W — Google review
This place is a Dream destination for skiing! The snow quality is fantastic, white & powdery ,the slopes are well-groomed, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Our full day here was worth spending. The management was also very good.

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is an amazing experience; It starts at Whistler Mountain, takes you to Blackcomb Mountain, and from there you can take another gondola to a different peak before heading back down. The gondola between the peaks is huge, and the blue cabins have glass floors so you can see the valley below. At the top, there are restaurants and cafes, and you might spot Groundhogs. Even in summer, there’s snow and it’s cold, so be sure to bring warm clothes.
Amin A — Google review
Whistler Blackcomb is awesome. I love the fact you can ski during the winter and then buy a very affordable Epic pass to Access the trekking trails and gondola during the summer. Also the Sunday farmers markets are great! Visit "Cows" for the best mint chocolate chip ice cream ever (they have other flavours too if you don't fancy mint) and Portobello at the Fairmont for real belgian chocolate mochas & hot chocolates ! Whistler is dreamy indeed.
Jaipreet C — Google review
Whistler is an incredible place for both snowboarding and biking. I’ve visited in different seasons, and I’m always impressed by the staff, the facilities, and how well everything is maintained. There are lots of trails across both mountains, making it great for all levels—from beginners to pros. Safety is clearly a priority, with support staff always around. While the sports can be pricey, Whistler often has great deals and seasonal passes. I just wish there were more flexible options for frequent visitors. I love this place and will definitely keep coming back.

Experience the most Canadian of pastimes at Forged Axe Throwing in Function Junction. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro, their action-packed sessions include safety talks, step-by-step instruction, practice runs, and friendly competition. With no special gear required, just bring your closed-toed shoes and get ready to unleash your inner lumberjack for a reasonable price per person.
Due to my injury, I couldn't really participate. This viewpoint is entirely on the sideline. My party seems to enjoy all their experiences here. Some are first timer and some have been to other axe throwing establishment before. The host were fun and energetic. It was definitely harder than they made it look, but of course, they were pro! I like that they slowly introduce you to different type of throwing and keep adding onto the challenges. Kept it fun and entertaining. Drinks are available for purchases but I don't think they have any snacks. I brought my own popcorn and just enjoyed chatting and cheering my party on. It was a great experience. The space are quite welcoming and warm. Very esthetically pleasing.

We had such an incredible time at Forged Axe Throwing in Whistler! None of us had ever tried axe throwing before, but our instructor, Brandon, made the experience so much fun while also teaching us proper technique. He was patient, encouraging, and kept the energy high, which made the whole session both educational and exciting. Even though my mom and I weren’t naturals, we still managed to land some solid shots and score points; which felt amazing! Meanwhile, my fiancé and dad were having a blast trying out the double axe throws, trick shots, and even the fireman axe. Brandon kept things entertaining for all of us, no matter our skill level. The atmosphere at Forged Axe Throwing is so welcoming and chill. You can tell that Brett has built a really awesome business that makes everyone feel comfortable and excited to be there. And of course, we can’t forget Bendito the dog, who completely stole the show; such a sweet pup and the perfect bonus to an already awesome outing. We came up from Portland, Oregon, and all agreed we’d happily make a weekend trip just to come back here again. If you’re visiting Whistler, I’d 100% recommend stopping by Forged Axe Throwing. We’ll definitely be back!
Victoria G — Google review
We finally found our purpose. As soon as we picked up those axes, life finally made sense. Brandon and River were incredible (congrats on your first day River!) they guided us through a forest of understanding teaching us the ways of axe throwing. They were so welcoming, enthusiastic, encouraging and highly knowledgeable in their field. 100/10 recommend. The sport just gained two new members. - Eleanor + Middy

Oh my word. Forged Axe Throwing hit the mark! I had an absolutely amazing axeventure! I just had the most axe-ceptional time! We let the axes FLY - no chill, just thrills. A fantastic experience all around. I was shocked at how much fun I had here. First of all I can’t believe I was able to hit the axes on the board and make them stick, (as so many people underestimated my abilities going into this!) let alone so close to the bullseye! I even got the hat trick with the axe upside down on the bullseye and the hat landed on the handle of the axe! 😲 Because of that, I MADE IT TO THE WALL OF FAME! 👏 If you want to lash out some energy but throw axes these guys have it going! Axe throwing unlocks a whole new level of power and sass! In the beginning there was no aim, no technique, just pure chaos! I definitely got better after more attempts. You don't know the strength you have until you try this place out! A huge shoutout to Maddie! She didn’t just teach us to throw axes - she taught us to own it! If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to tap into that raw strength and power, go throw an axe! Trust me, it’s that good! It was non-stop, high energy, and honestly? Such a good workout too! Don't be intimidated, if I can throw an axe so can you! All in all a time was had! I was able to channel my inner lumberjack! Axe throwing is so thrilling, competitive and seriously addictive! It was a whole vibe! 10/10 for fun, adrenaline & letting loose! I was able to release my inner warrior! This isn’t just an activity it’s pure adrenaline! It’s an epic time of fun, friendly competition, and adrenaline-pumping action! It’s super lively, competitive and all-around a good time! It’s the best way to unleash some fun and friendly competition! If you are looking for something different (and a little bit savage) to do in Whistler, this is IT! We had an AXE-mazing time! The venue is well-designed, with a modern and exciting atmosphere that immediately gets you in the mood for some axe throwing fun. Maddie truly made our day. She showed the highest form of hospitality! Her energy, clear instructions, and encouraging attitude helped even the beginners like me feel like pros! Her guidance definitely took our game to the next level! Whether it was our first throw or our final game, Maddie was there with great vibes and positive energy, making the entire experience unforgettable. It was therapeutic in a way; great way to get some energy out and have some laughs. Whatever your expectations are your experience will be amplified for the better by the staff (Maddie!!) I definitely would recommend trying axe throwing at least once in your life! Would recommend Forged Axe Throwing to anyone in a heartbeat. Everything from the instruction to the environment & vibe far exceeded our expectations. I left the axe throwing with a sense of empowerment because so many people underestimated my abilities to axe throw but I got to prove them all wrong & that was very satisfying! ;)

We went here as part of a bachelor party weekend and it was fantastic! There was a group of 10 of us that fit very well in a 4 lane area and had it to ourselves with the bar area apart of it. The service was excellent and very fun. The 8 person shot ski was also a big hit. We loved all the games that our host put on for us. I highly recommend this place.
Zachary S — Google review
Such an awesome and fun experience! My girlfriend and I had the best time at Forged Axe Throwing. Erin and Brandon were incredible hosts, super friendly, patient, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the start. The place has a really cool layout and great music, which made the whole vibe even better. We had tons of laughs and left with some new skills (sort of!). Highly recommend this for couples or groups, it’s one of the most fun activities in Whistler. Can’t wait to come back!
Andre B — Google review
Very fun experience! The host walks you through many fun games, trick shots and the opportunity to try and make it into the hall of fame. There is a designated play area for kids, variety of drinks and plenty of space for our group of ten. Safety was paramount and made the experience fun for all. Thank you to the Forged Team for making our time together special.

The Audain Art Museum, located in Whistler, British Columbia, showcases a diverse collection of art from the province's First Peoples to contemporary masters. The museum features an impressive array of First Nations masks, Emily Carr paintings, and works by renowned Canadian artists such as Jeff Wall and Rodney Graham.
Terrific art collection including west coast indigenous masks and carvings, Emily Carr, EJ Hughes, and more! Stunning architectural purpose built building. Well curated gift shop. Don't miss this gem while visiting Whistler.

Been waiting for exploring this great museum for 3 years haha! The permanent exhibition of indigenous First Nation mask collection from the great artist Beau Dick has been stunning! The current great photographer works of snowy mountain landscapes are awesome too! The architectural design of the whole museum itself is already somewhere you wanna just stay and read and relax in Whistler here! ❤️❤️🌷🌷👍👍
Avis W — Google review
Our visit to the Audain Art Museum was a total pleasure. We’d never heard of the museum before and it was only because an acquaintance recommended a special exhibit, Gathered Leaves, that we decided to make the 2-hour drive from Vancouver to Whistler. We were amazed by the beautiful architecture of the museum building, simple and elegant and still stunning. We visited the Gathered Leaves exhibit and were impressed by the works displayed. These were sketches and drawings from the National Gallery of Canada, which included work by artists such as Degas, Munch, and older artists. We also visited the Permanent Collection which consumed another great and enjoyable amount of time. First Nations artwork and work by EJ Hughes and Gordon Smith captured our attention the most. Overall, this was a wonderful day and we strongly recommend the museum – plus, if you’re not a Whistler resident, you get to experience a fantastic drive along the coast!
Geoff G — Google review
We liked the architecture but the exhibits did not meet our expectations. The masks were really cool but we wanted more details and information on each individual mask. We felt there was a lot lacking.
Brinlie C — Google review
Audain Art Museum is a gem tucked into the forested edge of Whistler Village. The architecture alone is worth the visit—sleek, quiet, and perfectly in tune with the natural surroundings. Inside, the permanent collection is rich with Indigenous art, especially the stunning masks, and works by Emily Carr and other BC legends. It’s curated with care and feels deeply connected to the region’s artistic roots. On the downside, admission isn’t cheap, and while the space is beautiful, some temporary exhibits can feel a bit sparse depending on timing. Also, if you’re not into visual arts, it might feel like a quick walkthrough. Still, for anyone curious about BC’s cultural depth, it’s a peaceful and inspiring stop. Pair it with a stroll through the nearby trails for a full Whistler experience.

Great little museum in Whistler - features local BC and Canadian artists. Really cool to see where I grew up through their eyes
Desiree M — Google review
We took a rest day from skiing and visited this museum mid week. Audain is a high quality museum with an impressive primary collection. Of course there’s many First Nation pieces like interesting masks and bronze castings, but there’s also pieces from ground breaking BC artists like Emily Carr. The building is gorgeous and the wooded setting is a perfect match with the museum’s collections. We really enjoyed our visit!

Whistler Olympic Park, a legacy of the 2010 Winter Olympics, offers a variety of activities for visitors. The park features a network of hiking trails and summits in the picturesque Callaghan Valley. In addition to cross-country skiing experiences during winter, there are also summer bobsleigh lessons available at the Sliding Centre. For those seeking an extra challenge, the Olympic Shooting Range offers biathlon and target shooting.
We wanted to try out the snowshoeing at the Olympic Park and were not disappointed. For $12 we had access to well maintained trails and glorious views. For our first visit we chose the "walk with Giants" trail which is a moderately hard snowshoe through the forest of Doug Firs, Cedars and Hemlock. We emerged behind the Olympic ski-jump, to stunning views across the valley. We pretty much had the trail to ourselves, even though it was a Saturday in peak season. Ski patrol checked up on us and the staff at the lodge and the main gate were friendly and helpful. What a great day!

We were there on Thursday the 11th around 8:30 pm. It was closed, but a very kind lady still served us in a very pleasant and correct manner, helping us manage our needs even outside of business hours. Without her help, we probably wouldn't have been able to stay there. I will definitely return
Iván S — Google review
Came here for snowshoeing in winter and tent camping in summer. Snowshoeing: definitely will come back as the views and trails were great. You share a bit of the path with the cross country skiers which are typical for snowshoeing. Tent camping: Only return if the other nearby campgrounds are not available. Lack of shades and the sites have no privacy at all. Nice lodge, showers and amenities. A couple hiking trails nearby and you can hike up to ski jump. When we were here in summer 2024, it seemed quiet hours were respected and enforced.
J L — Google review
This is the site of the 2010 Nordic Olympic events. In the summer there is lots to do including hiking, biking, site seeing, biathlon (shooting), disc golf, pickleball, camping. It is a great place for kids and includes a unique climbing structure (playground). The day lodge has foosball, ping pong, board games, and comfy places to sit. A cafe is open all day with a wide variety of food and drinks. Gift store, too. Bring your bug spray and bug nets.
Erika Q — Google review
Regarding the multi-use campground: The place is awesome. The views, the bathrooms, the showers, the washroom, they're all top-of-the-line. The major problems are: the extremely small campsites, coupled with the people who have no regard for their neighbors. By 0600, our neighbor's alarm had gone off four times (I had to notify them their alarm was going off twice, after their alarm had gone off for more than five minutes), another neighbor (two or three spots down) had a very bad cough and we could clearly hear her up late, and early. Another's kid came into our camp after we went to bed and tripped over our tent stakes, I could very clearly hear people snoring. And lastly, our immediate neighbor's kid woke up early and could only speak at one volume (loud), despite repeated efforts from their father to get them to quiet down. Correction: The neighbor's alarm just went off for a fifth time - and the snorer is still going. I recommend going somewhere where people aren't camping on top of each other, you can get a good night's sleep, and you can actually enjoy nature.

Snowshoeing at Whistler Olympic Park is an unforgettable winter experience. The trails are beautifully maintained, winding through a serene landscape of towering evergreens and fresh, powdery snow. It’s peaceful, with just the crunch of your steps breaking the stillness, making you feel like you’re in your own winter wonderland. The highlight of the trek is Alexander Falls, and it’s nothing short of breathtaking. This towering, frozen cascade glistens under its snowy blanket, an absolute showstopper that feels like nature’s version of a grand finale. Standing there, surrounded by untouched wilderness, it’s impossible not to feel a sense of awe. Whether you’re new to snowshoeing or a seasoned pro, this park delivers a magical escape into nature. It’s not just a trek—it’s an experience that leaves you exhilarated, refreshed, and a little more connected to the winter world around you. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable adventure in Whistler.

We had such an amazing experience visiting here. We never skied before, but we took the ski lesson and we’re also able to join the free guided tour. The instructors (Michael, Anuk and Chris) were so passionate and helpful. By end of our lesson, we got enough tips and confidence to try out on our own and skied few more hours. Absolutely loved the experience. We shall visit again!

Nestled at the edge of the forest near Lost Lake in beautiful Whistler, Scandinave Spa offers a Nordic-inspired wellness experience. Visitors can also enjoy eucalyptus steam baths, followed by a series of hot baths and refreshing plunges under chilly cascades.
Amazing day on my own at the spa. I had a Swedish massage by Lise-Anne. She was amazing,I’ve never had a massage as good!! Thank you Lisa-Anne 🥰 Gorgeous setting, silence is key. Busy but fine as calm/quiet and not on top of each other. Could always get a bed, lounger, space in all sections. Lovely large towels and complimentary water stations and flavoured tea. I had the carrot cake and English tea at the bistro which was lovely. Would highly recommend, nothing like it ❤️ August 2025

Healing, rejuvenating, relaxing. This is the place for all the things. It was my second time visiting once 10 years ago. I loved it then and I love it now! I had a massage from Pavlo, truly one of the best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had. Scandinave is magical! Thank you for much needed R&R.

Many weird things... Overall spot is beautiful. However. The silent thing is just too much. You could have some areas / saunas for talking and some for the quiet time. Not EVERYONE wants to have a vipassana experience all the time. At least make 1 sauna for speaking... 🙄 Also, when I do my ice bath, I use the timer to track the breath holds and overall time in the ice. They didn't have any timer there, so I took my phone (how else I'm going to track it if you don't have a timer around and not even notifying people about it?) So, someone took my phone without my permission and manager told me,I'll get it back when I go out. 1. I don't like when people taking my items without my permission and when I don't see it 2. I didn't scroll the phone or anything. I used a timer which you don't provide (could e nice to have this "luxury" especially considering the $160 entrance fees)

The Scandinavian Spa in Whistler, Vancouver is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. It’s very popular, so I recommend reserving your “Scandinavian Journey” in advance, especially if you’d like to book a massage. They have a large parking lot, but you can also get dropped off. Keep in mind, no alcohol is allowed, phones are prohibited and must be stored in your locker, cameras are present, and the spa is meant to be quiet. It’s not really a place for chatting loudly with friends, it’s more about relaxing, calming your mind, and enjoying the beauty of nature. The outdoor setting feels like a garden, with swings, jacuzzis, pools, and plenty of spaces to unwind. The spa provides almost everything you need, but I suggest bringing your own sandals or flip-flops for walking around the garden. Many visitors bring a book to enjoy while resting by the fire or in the quiet areas. Complimentary herbal tea is available, and it’s perfect for relaxation. They’re open until 10 p.m., so you can truly spend the whole day there. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to practice self-love, slow down, and give yourself a truly healing experience.

An absolutely incredible experience! The Scandinavian spa is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and escape the stress of daily life. The atmosphere is serene and calming, with beautiful natural surroundings that make you feel instantly at peace. The hot and cold therapy cycles are invigorating and leave you feeling refreshed and energized. The staff are welcoming and professional, ensuring every detail of your visit is perfect. Truly a wonderful retreat for both body and mind — highly recommended!

Fun and rejuvenating experience at the Scandinavian Spa, but they have a strict silent policy - which is weird as some people follow it to a T and others disregard it. The spa itself has a fun layout, with the hot and cold changes. It does get super busy after lunch, so the morning session is probably the best time to visit. Finally, it’s a little on the expensive side, but it’s nice for a treat.

Got my birthday discount and a treat from front desk! Loved everything about this Spa! We were 20 minutes late because of the weather was horrible, they said 30 mins grace period is no problem! Bring your own swimming suits, slippers, water bottle, a book, hair tie for long hair and some lip balm. A think a beanie or toque is necessary in winter time to keep your head warm. We spend around 5 hours there, and is nothing but relaxing ☺️! Reservation is important to book in advance so you don’t have to be on waiting list. 📵 no phone is allowed in the SPA! No not many photos! Would go back again!!!!!

Hiking area
Train Wreck is a popular local favorite hike near Whistler Village, starting at Cheakamus Crossing. The trail follows the scenic Cheakamus River and leads to abandoned train cars transformed into an art installation. It's a relatively easy hike suitable for families and beginners, with the option to connect to a larger network of trails for those seeking more challenge. The site offers great photo opportunities of the graffiti-covered train wreckage, making it a must-see attraction in the Whistler area.
Awesome short hike to see something really unique! I thought I wasn't going to be impressed doing this hile because I already saw so many pictures, but it was totally worth it and a ton of fun to explore! If you are capable, take the trail called Trash in, which goes along the river and it a lot more exciting.
Jenny C — Google review
This trail walk won’t disappoint! Yes, there are elevations, but the distance is manageable, and there are spots to pause along the route. I found the scenery to be breathtaking, and a bit magical as you approached the rapids and could hear the water gurgling in the distance. I walked the suspension bridge! (Which I considered a success for someone who is not fond of heights.) But the span was short. The scenery was pretty, the environment soothing, and though I walked alone, there were many people entering or leaving the area, if I had required help (being of a certain vintage.) I will say it was a little daunting to see the bear warning sign at the entry, but I pushed through and I’m glad I did. The trail floor is hard packed, but has many twists and turns and you share the route with mountain bikers - so be aware. I did notice one young family with a child. They were determinedly pulling a camping wagon, and I was not certain I would’ve attempted that! Have a look at the photos and enjoy. This is a nice spot for a bright day hike as it can be very shady and shadowed through parts of the trail. The “Train Wreck” story itself is part of the experience, so do read the posted sign!
Kathleen T — Google review
Good comfortable walk to the suspension bridge. The train wreck, located on the other side, has a very poignant feel about it. Train cars strewn about a large area, all covered in bright graffiti. Information boards tell the story. After crossing back across the bridge take the trail to the left and walk along the river back to the parking for awesome river views.
Elaine K — Google review
Pretty easy hike (not completely flat but still easy enough with a decent stroller), and it's relatively scenic in terms of the greenery, the suspension bridge, and the river. There are a couple of parking lots near the start of the trail and it's only ~10 minutes drive from Whistler. Definitely worth checking out!
F W — Google review
A Unique Blend of Urban Art and Natural Beauty! The Train Wreck Trail in Whistler is one of those special places where industrial history and vibrant creativity collide in the middle of the forest. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves street art, photography, or just exploring something totally unique. The trail itself is an easy, pleasant walk, and the reward at the end is absolutely worth it: a collection of old train cars covered from top to bottom in ever-changing, colorful graffiti. Every surface tells a story, and it’s a photographer’s dream. The addition of the suspension bridge along the way adds a fun, slightly thrilling element to the adventure with a beautiful view of the river below. A quick but important note for fellow hikers: we saw signs warning about bears in the area, especially during berry season. It’s crucial to be bear aware—make noise as you walk, carry bear spray, and know what to do if you have an encounter (stay calm, don't run!). It’s their home, and we’re just visiting. This is a fantastic, free activity that’s different from your typical mountain hike. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable few hours!
Daniel Z — Google review
A really fun spot near Whistler where you can hike a short trail, cross a suspension bridge, and explore old abandoned trains. The path is gravel with a few ups and downs, so good shoes are recommended. You’ll find several train cars in different positions. Overall, it’s a unique and fun adventure worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Somayeh A — Google review
I have always loved this place. Went in the winter and this summer 2025. It’s such a nice walk, and you get to experience crossing a suspension bridge. Hidden and nestled in the backside of Whistler but it’s a must see for everyone. I brought my dog with me this summer. Oh and it’s FREE
Anne I — Google review
Heard a lot about this trail before coming to the Squamish area, and it definitely lives up to the hype! It’s an easy and worthwhile stop right off the highway, offering a cool mix of forest, roaring white water, and a graffiti-covered train wreck — a striking contrast between nature and human art. Take the “Trash In” route if you want a bit more challenge and fun on your way to the wreck. The suspension bridge was my favorite part — scenic, peaceful, and a great spot for photos. Once you reach the site, it’s fascinating to explore the old train cars and see the original wood and metal details up close. One downside: in some areas near the wreck, the smell of fresh spray paint can be quite strong — at one point it was so overbearing and nauseating that I had to step away, feeling a bit lightheaded. Despite that, it’s still a unique, creative, and memorable short hike that captures the wild and artistic spirit of Squamish.

Alta Lake, the largest lake in Whistler, offers a picturesque setting with various recreational activities. From kayak rentals and volleyball courts to picnic areas with BBQs, the park attracts visitors looking for outdoor fun. The lake is surrounded by notable spots like Rainbow Park, Blueberry Docks, and Lakeside Park. For a refreshing day in the water, Wayside Park is recommended for stand-up paddleboarding.
Beautiful lake thatd perfect for water activities in the Summer, but it can also be a snow-covered wonderland in the Winter. Both seasons are good to visit. Strongly recommended if you want to step aside from the bustling Whistler village

I recently visited Alta Lake and had an amazing experience! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear water surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing walk, a quiet picnic, or even just to sit and enjoy nature. The trails around the lake are well-maintained and easy to navigate. I also loved how peaceful and clean the area was — great for photography or just taking a break from city life. Whether you’re visiting Whistler or live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by Alta Lake. It’s definitely worth it!

Alta Lake is gorgeous!! A little chilly for swimming, but refreshing! If you have a paddleboard / kayak/ canoe etc....its a great lake for it! We went to Rainbow park to enter this part of Alta Lake. There is also a great Crepe stand to check out!

Nice park for swimming and kayaking. Launch for the kayak was easy with a sandy bottom. You can also rent kayaks and sup's. There are beautiful views of Whistler and Blackholm mountains while kayaking. It is important to note that our GPS took us to the north road to get to the park where there was no parking. We found the parking area on our own. You can see it from the drop off area but have to go around back onto the hwy to get to the parking! Crazy. When getting directions, type in Lakeside Park parking lot! Enjoy.

Greystone Lodge is a mountaintop all-suite lodging in Whistler, offering Wi-Fi, parking, and a shuttle service. The hotel features an outdoor pool and hot tubs for guests to enjoy. Situated just 1.6 km from Marketplace and close to Whistler Blackcomb, the lodge provides easy access to various sports venues and attractions such as Lost Mountain Lake and Whistler Medals Plaza Ice Skating Rink.
We had a very spacious, roomy unit that was two bedroom units sharing a common area. The lodge was a bit aged and needed minor work (bedroom screens were leaning up against the building beside the windows) however we could overlook these minor inconveniences. This ground floor corner unit was the cheapest and very reasonable price of all the others, not too far from the village. In fact about a 15 min walk to the village and only 5 min. to Blackstone Gondola. Would definitely rent this unit in Greystone Lodge again.

We enjoyed spending a long weekend at Greystone Lodge. The building is well-maintained. The pool and hot tubs are in very good condition. The building is very close a trail leading to the chairlifts.

Awesome place one of the best I’ve stayed out at Whistler. Easy ski in and out from Blackcomb. The room was great. Heated pool and hot tub are amazing. Definitely will stay here again.
D I — Google review
This is a nice ski-out/in suite backing on to the Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. We rented a two bedroom three bed unit (plus a pull out couch) for 8 of us and although it was a little cramped with all of us, the unit was nice and functional. The staff at the front desk were nice and helpful. My favorite thing about this place was the amenities, the heated outdoor pool and hot tub were amazing and very accessible. This suite is not too far from the upper village, about a 5-8 min walk however it requires you to on a portion the hill - which is difficult to walk back up for some of the older and younger members in our family.
Areez R — Google review
The place we stayed in was room 315. It is spacious and relatively clean but very run down and not what we expected at all. The carpets and furnishings were all pretty old and stained with age and use. Half of the light bulbs in the place were not working. The ceiling fan was not working as well and we were there in summertime so it was hot and humid. They did however provide 3 portable fans which helped. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and crockery but no coffee or tea was provided even though it's meant to be complimentary. The loft bedroom was acceptable but the top window has no curtains and during summertime the sunlight would wake you up at ridiculous hours. The bathroom was clean but the shower is quite cramped. If you were taller than 6'0 it would be a squeeze and the light was not working in there as well. The most shocking thing was the hairdryer as it malfunctioned when my boyfriend was using it and thank goodness he wasn't electrocuted. It was obviously very old and something inside it shattered/exploded so we quickly unplugged it. Overall for the price ($200+ a night) that we paid I would've rather gone to a hotel around that area. Would not recommend.
Nicolle Y — Google review
True ski-in, ski-out in a well-appointed and well-managed building. Common facilities are excellent, including two hot tubs (one indoors, one out), heated outdoor pool, a large ski locker room, ample free (!) parking, a good supply of luggage carts and a central elevator. An easy walk down the ski slope to Blackcomb base. The unit I stayed in was large, comfortable, quiet, and recently remodeled. Would definitely stay here again.
David T — Google review
Good location and decent place but the housekeeping was not great. They came half way through and only changed the linens but didn’t clean the rooms, floors or bathrooms at all. The dishwasher barely cleaned the dishes, there was no dust pan, and some basic amenities weren’t included. The outdoor hot tub was a 4-person tub for the whole lodge so not great for crowds, which there were over the holidays.
Sue H — Google review
This review is for unit 315 at Greystone. I was immediately disappointed in the quality of the hotel room when I walked in. The mattress in the room was old and the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on. You could feel every spring when you laid on it. I googled the mattress and couldn’t even find this online because it was so old. I didn’t even take off my shoes for the first three hours because I did not plan on staying here. The management would not refund me nor was there a different room available for us to stay in. I was even willing to pay extra for an upgraded room just so I could be comfortable. Angela, the manager was pleasant and ended up replacing our mattress the next day and apologized for the inconvenience with a bottle of wine. The ceiling fan in the loft didn’t work so there was a cheap fan in the corner. The loft didn’t look like it was updated in years. There was a knife block with two knives in it. The pans in the kitchen were warped and hard to cook with. This particular room does not meet the standards of a 4 star resort in my opinion. I ski 2-3 times a year and have stayed at some fabulous resorts for the price I payed at greystone. I am posting this review so the owner and resort will upgrade this room and take accountability for holding each unit to a 4 star standard as advertised. I am sure other units are upgraded like the pictures show online however, this unit surely needs some attention. Due to this, I would not stay here again.

Discover the enchanting Blackcomb Glacier Ice Cave, a 12,000-year-old natural wonder accessible via a thrilling helicopter ride and a trek through Whistler's winter landscape. Inside the cave, marvel at the mesmerizing crystalline formations and untouched ice that has endured for millennia. The journey to the cave involves taking lifts and skiing down to reach this hidden gem. While exploring this breathtaking site, be sure to have a buddy with you for safety.
Very stunning ice cave amazing to take some pictures from the in- or outside. Definitely worth the wait on the t-bars on Blackcomb to get up there . Just take Glacier Express then ride right to the Showcase T-Bar, hike up the little hill on the right then drop in the Glacier Bowl and ride down till you see people on right walking towards and from the ice cave😉
Lukas R — Google review
Visited on Feb 7. Definitely open. But Showcase T Bar is not running so you have a bit of a hike to enter Blackcomb Glacier. March 30, 2025 the Showcase T Bar was running but the ice cave was buried in an avalanche. Come back next year.
Gary S — Google review
Absolutely beautiful and well worth it!! Although, be prepared if its pow to have an effort at walking back up through some thick snow to the run afterwards! Start on the lip of the Whistler glacier run and try go as far as you can to the right hand side although it's an uphill climb. The glacier is just off to the right of the run beyond the ski boundary signs after a few hundred meters down.
Ads — Google review
Better instructions: take the showcase tbar, and do the quick boot pack up to Blackcomb glacier entrance. Ski across the bowl, sticking to skiers right. You will pass the backcountry gate access, keep going downhill but stay right, sticking close to the ski boundary signs. Close to where the bowl levels out you will find the cave, entrance faces downhill.
Shannon T — Google review
Route to the Ice Cave 1. Glacier Express Liftchair 2. Showcase T-Bar 3. Take Off skis > walk (climb-up) 30m approx 4. Ski down 500m to 1000m length > (expect heavy thick ungrommed run) Then you will reach the cave. People claimed Ice inside the cave unmelted and already lasted for thousands year (I am in doubt) But beautiful inside anyway. Also the snow are blended with light blue color, not sure why snow appeared with color (perhaps some mineral from rock)? Don't go by your own, go with buddy! Technically it is outside ski patrol area and about 50m to 100m outside the patrol boundary so it is at skiers' own risks)
Brian H — Google review
Not to be missed! One of the last untouched natural wonders of BC, a real hidden gem. We were able to make it for one of their late season kayak tours and Blackcomb Patrol were amazing in directing us where to go. The late evening ice cave disco was a real cherry on the cake. Fun for all the family.

Wish we were told about mice. We had mouse poop everywhere, on the floor, in the cutlery and utensil drawer. We asked if they could clean the place, they said they would, but never did. Two guys came by with a garbage bad and with no gloves just picked up the mouse in the trap and threw it in the bag. We had toddlers who were crawling around and could have easily put their hand in the trap/touched or eaten the poop. I’m just shocked they did warn us so we could bring our own clean dishes etc, move the traps before kids find them, and lied about cleaning the place. Very disappointed.

Nita lake is the middle lake of the chain of Alpha - Nita - Alta lake system which are all next to each other in a line. Nita is the 2nd largest of the 3 and there is no motorcraft allowed on Nita. There is fishing here with rainbow trout as it is stocked, and there are locations along the shore for waders and fly fishing ,and if you want to go out on a fishing float or belly boat, you can spend the day drifting and spincasting or flyfishing all day on this lovely large lake's calm inviting waters. There are many people who use this lake for activities such as SUP and kayak, canoeing and the like. you can see rafts of lashed together SUP in the middle of the lake with people socializing and suntanning all day. There is a public dock on the one side and multiple small beaches for people to hang out. Around Nita is creekside and you can go north to Alta lake along the Valley Trail that runs alongside all 3 lakes. Great place to bring the famliy and hang out day after day.
