Taliesin West is a must see for any fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, architecture, history houses, or the desert southwest. I visited on an incredibly hot day in the summer during their morning opening hours. The audio tour, delivered through an app you download to your own device, is exceptionally good. The audio tour is one of the top 10 audio guides I’ve ever used anywhere in the world. It’s strikes the perfect balance guiding you through the site while at the same time providing just the right amount of interpretation of Wright’s work and time at Taliesin. The gift shop here is a must visit with a very well curated inventory of items connected to Frank Lloyd Wright, Asian art, and architecture in general. Simply excellent all around.
This tour—no kidding—changed my brain. Walking through the property was an expansive journey, and the audio tour was educational and really helped ground me in the space and pull me into the details of Frank Lloyd Wright’s design and philosophies. I can’t recommend this enough for lovers of design, story, and interesting spaces. I left inspired and with an augmented appreciation of the power of organic architecture, playfulness, and of spaces designed to foster community. If any questions come up for you, I highly recommend asking them to the staff present throughout the tour— they provided additional anecdotes and history that very much enriched our experience. My one regret is we didn’t go earlier in the day to be able to take more time soaking up the unique spaces.
It’s really easy to drive past the entrance since the sign blends in with the landscape. So keep an eye out! We took the self guided tour. The property was stunning, and we really enjoyed learning about Wright’s process and the history behind the property. Absolutely beautiful. The gift shop had so many unique items, too! Lots of locally made pieces.
The house in relation to the geography creates an ethereal setting that will leave you dazzled. It's an incredible way to experience Right's genius as you look through a window or a vista and realize that every turn, every view was meant to inspire. The tour goes by too quickly, like a dream you don't want to end. The controlled number of guests is also very important as the interior spaces are smaller than you think.
This was a great introduction to the complex. It was discovery day so the cost was only $5.00 each to go on a self guided tour. All the grounds and buildings were accessible and along the way they had hosts to provide details at various locations as well as answers questions. They also invited some other groups to provide information about their services. They also had some food vendors, activities and music. Free parking was provided and the fee allowed us to stay as long as we wanted. I was surprised that for a Saturday it not crowded and it was easy to view each location and enjoy the grounds. The store has a variety of keepsakes and beautiful creations for sale and the staff are very friendly.
Really wonderful Frank Lloyd Wright site. The Audio tour was easy to use and allowed me to explore Tasliein West on my own, pointing out a lot of really nice details I would have missed. I love that you are invited to experience the site thought your own eyes and even encouraged to sit in the hand made furniture to enjoy the spaces just as Frank and his team would have decades ago. I do think some aspects are in need to refurbishment especially when it was dripping with all the rain, but I do know that it’s an old building and it wasn’t designed to get the weather out fully. The white buckets catching water were a little distracting from the beauty of the space. It didn’t take away from the overall experience though. The tour lasted about 1-hour from start to finish, so plan to be there early enough so you can finish up before they close. The adjoining store also had some really nice memorabilia.
Loved it! So informative and the guided tour was simply wonderful. Hard to imagine how all this was built in this hot landscape so many years ago! Very inspiring! Highly recommend!
Frank Lloyd Wright's genius design skills are at work here. The buildings look like they have always been there, which is the hallmark of his designs. Definitely a must see attraction in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area.

This was amazing. It was magical from start to finish. I would say this is probably not for babies. There seemed to be a lot there, and their conservatory is hot and humid for the best environment for the butterflies. Their reptile, amphibian, and underwater displays are just gorgeous. I do not regret going at all. It was a great afternoon well spent.
For anyone that loves butterflies and other insects, this is the place for you. An awesome video at the beginning that talks about stages of the butterfly, thought was very interesting. Once in the butterfly area, it was awesome, had a few land on me, that was cool. Go here early, when its cooler, but definitely a must see!
Butterfly Wonderland is awesome, let me start with that before getting into the few downsides. The whole concept is brilliant and beautiful. Not only are they helping preserve butterfly species and supporting conservation efforts, but they’re also giving the public a chance to experience these incredible creatures up close. That’s amazing! My only real complaint is the price. For two people, it’s about $75 for an experience that lasts roughly an hour or two at most. It’s a bit steep, but it feels better knowing the money goes toward something meaningful rather than just another theme park. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. Be sure to spend enough time in the sanctuary, you’ll want to slow down, take it all in, and hopefully have a few butterflies land on you!
You cant go wrong walking through a tropical jungle with butterflies flying all around you! It was so soothing and calming! The staff were super helpful answering all our questions and giving us directions! Be warned, it's humid so dress accordingly! You won't regret stopping here in your visit to Phoenix!
Awesome attraction especially if you have kids, my 2 small toddlers really enjoyed themselves, and it was a fun mixture of entertainment and education. Staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share info on the butterflies. They have some small indoor exhibits with fish and reptiles as well. They also have inclusive options for children with processing difficulties or other challenges. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit when at the boardwalk
10/10 would recommend this place to anyone in the area! They had a short video on the monarch butterfly migration. They also have a near area where they show the life of a butterfly and the stages there before they release them with the others. There were so many and they were so gorgeous and perfect! Their snack area was clean and tidy. The staff was super friendly. There was so much to look at and I wanted to take pictures of everything. It’s def worth every penny!
Love bringing my daughter here! We have so much fun. Beautiful butterflies and fun experience. We go first thing when they open because they get pretty busy! Worth the money in my opinion.
Fascinating world of butterflies. From their birth to their death, and everything in between. Neat facts to learn about migration, and other things about butterflies. 3-D movie explains it, then you can walk in a huge garden with lots of butterflies. They also have some reptiles, sea life, and bees.

This place was great. Mostly free except for the train ride and the carousel which are 3 dollars per person which I thought was reasonable. Very clean and well maintained. Great places for kids to play, water fountains all around or bottles of water in the market. The model train museum was amazing. The largest display I have ever seen and really well put together. So much to see. It’s also air conditioned inside so it’s nice to get in a get a break from the heat. We had a great time.
This is a great park. The new splash pad is small and isn't shaded directly, but there is plenty of shade around it with seating. The outdoor playground is huge and recently got sun sails so it mostly shaded. There are a few things that you need to pay for to do, but they are small amounts. The indoor playground, the train ride, and the carousel. The train ride is a ten minute ride around the park field and is so fun for the kids. There is a gift shop, and an ice cream/ snack bar also which are indoor and really nice. Plenty of seating throughout. Love this park.
Such a neat place! Large retired train cars throughout the park. They have a small train ride that's about an 8-10 min ride, a large carousel that you can ride either for $3 per person. Ages 2 and under are free. Huge outdoor playground with many unique obstacles. Lots of space to run and play. Small restaurant, museum, gift shop and a large miniature train set with interactive buttons. You can pay $12 for a wrist band for unlimited train and carousel rides for the day. Highly recommend and such a great value!
Nice place to visit. They have several different buildings to explore. The one with the miniature train sets is free and quiet expansive. The grounds are well kept and they have several areas for kids to play along with a small locomotive to take a ride on. Overall a wonderful place to go with large trees, benches, and beautiful shade.
I completely forgot to post my review last christmas. Me and my family went during christmas time and it was so beautiful. I can say it was a magical time especially with the music and reasonable food prices. We mustve rode the train 100times that night. We will be there again this year!!! Highly recommend
Amazing place. I got to spend the morning there today with my godsons, and it was as I remembered it. They LOVED the train. The conductor handled the teen standing on the track very well, but the office staff we told couldn't do anything about it since they left. If you want a place that has both indoor and outdoor sections, this is the place!
Excellent park and playgrounds. There is also a fun train ride and carousel which are $3.00 each. There is a new interactive play train which I think is $6.Other than the for mentioned costs every thing else is free. We rode the train but that's it and the kids played on the playground and never got bored. Lots of picnic areas and plenty of parking
Great place to take the kids. The highlight for me was the model train building. It was a huge building with model train lay outs from N scale to O scale. Unbelievable, the detail in the layouts. The train ride is more for kids, and is a short ride around the facility. The serve ice cream and good lunch foods. I had their chili with corn bread. It was home made I thought. Lots of train history to explore. It's not very expensive to get in , and is worth the time to experience.

We spent a couple hours hiking the various trails here. Very beautiful scenery all around! Clean and spacious restrooms and nice and easy/medium hiking trails. Plenty of parking when we were there. If you are in the Phoenix area and looking for something to do and want to see some awesome Saguaro Cacti, this is the place to go! easy to get to and great for kids to tag along and enjoy. We would come back here again. Nice job by all who have helped make this possible for us to all visit and enjoy!
This place is fantastic. The preserve staff is so helpful and knowledgeable about the trails. This mountain preserve provides so many beautiful trails for all skill levels. Multiple trails with varying elevation gain and distances. It’s a magical place. It is fairly busy but never too busy to where I don’t enjoy it.
Love doing the Gateway Loop Trail every year. I went early because of the heat. Helpful person at trailhead that recommended to not hike past 10am, plus sign. Nice bathrooms and trail well maintained.
Did 3.6 mile Gateway loop. 78 and sunny. Took me 2 hours. Went clockwise. Bathrooms at trailhead. Very rocky (it’s Arizona!) but well maintained trails, beautiful views. The official grade of moderate/hard is definitely not true. This is an easy loop with a few small sections that qualify as moderate. I’m 70.
What a beautiful sunrise and hike to Gateway Saddle. It was moderately difficult and stumbled on a few rocks but else a great 1:40 round trip. Definitely need some water early morning and likely a lot more later on or if a hot day!
This is a well maintained trail! When we went, there was a lot of people there, granted Thanksgiving is just a couple of days down this week. Good to see people enjoying the outdoors and maybe learning along the way! We went on the loop and enjoyed the informational panels throughout the trail! At the end, we were blessed with a close encounter with a roadrunner! (Video in this post) Remember to stay hydrated!
An excellent trail. With paths to several other trails. We took the loop, but took 3 hours because we are slow and took a ton of photos. The other hikers were friendly and helpful.
Easy, well marked trail system. Lower trails are good for families with small children but it does get significantly more rocky the more you progress up the mountain.

What a great hike! We took our 6 year old here and he had no problem running up the trail in front of us. It was a bit steep but not a difficult hike at all. The views are wonderful and we would do it again! The trail is very well maintained as well!
Great hike for easy to moderate hike with 360⁰ views. While there is a fair amount of elevation change, the 2 mile trail is very well maintained with steps, benches, and signage. It's a 4 mile out and back or can be through-hiked. The park facility is very good. I'm not a super fast hiker but did the out and back in about 2 hours.
Great 3.2km (2 miles) one-way trail with beautiful views. Gets a bit challenging by the end but easy-moderate to hike
We had an amazing hiking experience here today. Along our way a volunteer, Gary, told us some impressive facts about the plants, trail, and tips to see the best views. He then proceeded to continue the hike as our guide. He made our whole experience better than we could have imagined. Lots of laughs and plenty of sweat was had haha
What a fantastic hike. Absolutely beautiful views. The visitor Center has a place to fill your water bottles as well as clean bathrooms. There is no fee for the parking or for the hike. Bring sunscreen and plenty of water. Like most of the desert There is almost no shade.
Open at 5:45 am Has lot of parking Has restroom Scenic points Shady Can go with family and friends 2 miles one way Moderate and easy Carry liter water
Beautiful views of homes I wish I could afford. Nice pleasant hike but there are some tough parts. Parking lot fills up early but spots start to open up around 9 am.
Fun hike, lots of good views of the surrounding neighborhoods and greater area. The parking is limited, but everything is super well maintained and the trail is well marked. I will say it was harder than I expected. A lot of significant inclines and declines. But a fun hike for sure.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Huge aquarium featuring dramatic exhibits of marine life, plus a 3D movie & interactive experiences.
Slide 1 of 8
Odyssey Aquarium is one of the coolest aquariums I’ve been to—and easily the biggest I’ve seen in Arizona. The exhibits are impressive, and what makes it stand out are the unique encounters you can add on: meeting penguins, hanging out with a sloth, or even diving with the fish. Those experiences do come at an extra cost, but they’re a fun option if you’re looking for something special. One of my favorite parts of the aquarium is the rotating viewing room—it’s such a neat and creative way to take in the exhibits. It really adds to the whole experience and makes it feel different from other aquariums. Overall, Odyssey Aquarium is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you just walk through the main exhibits or splurge on one of the encounters, it’s an unforgettable experience.
OdySea is an amazing aquarium. The theme follows the journey of a drop of rain. The exhibits are well maintained and the staff is very knowledgeable. The environment is welcoming and easy to navigate. There are tons of graphics sharing information in many areas of science and conservation. They offer encounters and the SeaTrek which is pretty cool for those who are not dive certified. You can spend an entire day taking photos of all the animals and reading all the signs and graphics. I visited on a Sunday and the number of people that day was not crowding so it was even more enjoyable. The penguin encounter is $100 but it is definitely an investment and an unforgettable experience.
We had a great time at the aquarium. The tanks are very clean and the species look very healthy. The signage is informative. The educational staff is more than willing to chat. Id particularly like to thank the woman of color (not sure of her name.. she is light skinned and has long hair) who talked to us about the sturgeons. We then saw her again downstairs by the jellyfish. She demonstrated such passion for fish, reptiles, oceans, ...all things aquatic! The variety of species is excellent, and the signage was informative and easy to read. A few comments/suggestions... I think it would be nice if this facility was not-for-profit or if a portion of the proceeds went towards charity. I also think the tanks need plant life. Plastic plants rubbed me the wrong way. This is the only home these creatures know. It should mimic natural conditions as much as possible, even if that means more work cleaning the tanks. The entry fee is also way too expensive for the average person. We only did the aquarium, not the other attractions, because of price. Overall, we were impressed by the variety of species, many ways to interact with them, the bright, clean and well-lit facility, lots of benches to sit on, and the Voyager "ride" was fun. I do wish Voyager was less geared towards kids. The recordings that played at each "stop" were very juvenile. Also, the gift shop was way too kid-oriented. We wanted to buy things, but the selection was limited for adults.
This was a super fun experience! Large variety of see life and I especially loved all the jellyfish! I didn't expect to see a sloth at the aquarium but it was adorable! We really enjoyed the rotating seats show for the sea lions, sharks and stingrays. This is a wonderful family thing to do in Phoenix!
One of the nicest aquariums I've been to! Ive been to aquariums in NYC, Toronto, and Boston and OdySea might be my favorite. All the tanks are in pristine condition and the animals look well taken care of. The large tanks and layout make it really easy to navigate and view everything. There's a huge variety of animals and multiple touch tanks. The voyager exhibit is the main attraction and while the concept is neat, I think it'd be much nicer to just be able to view these tanks without having to sit in the rotating room. You only get 5 minutes per exhibit and the seats are somewhat far from the tanks so you arent able to see anything up close. When I went, 2 of the 4 tanks weren't viewable (one was under construction and the other one was empty) so that was a little disappointing. A lot of people mention the cost but you can easily spend 2+ hours here so I feel that the price is justifiable.
It was a nice aquarium, staff seemed very nice, shop was a little pricey. I did enjoy my visit. It has very nice exhibits, films, fish, and a very cool OdySea voyager, which is a turning exhibit that goes into a shark tank, and other underwater views. I prefer penguins, and they were a little shy, as were the odders, but still enjoyable. I would go earlier and pay extra, I went after 4:30 for a price cut, but its less active at that time. Its still worth a go around if you are looking for something to do its worth it.
We ended up going on a Saturday afternoon. The line was short and even though there were plenty of people inside, it didn't feel overly crowded. The fish all look healthy and well taken care of. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating to my niece who is in a wheelchair. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the aquarium for locals and visitors.
I really did enjoy it but the price on it is insane like that's not reasonable whatsoever. You guys also have time slots but for some reason the aquarium is always packed to the brim like what's the point of the time slots if it's always going to be way too busy anyways? Still had a really good time. All the employees were helpful and nice.

High-end modern resort with pools, dining & a spa, plus golf, a casino & live entertainment.

We have many casinos for people living in Phoenix these days but Talking Stick is still one of my favorites! 😁 First off, real quick, as I feel this is a very important factor that isn't discussed enough, our casinos (8 in Maricopa county now I believe) are all owned and operated by beautiful Native American tribes. The casinos often display stunning pottery and artifacts from their heritage and it is SUCH a cool feature of the decor. I encourage all who visit to take a moment to appreciate and respect the historic and unique history of the land they are standing on. That being said, I was here for 3 days for my brokerage’s yearly real estate conference and the resort was just as beautiful as the first time I was there a decade ago for Phoenix Fashion Week. 🙃 The staff is helpful and pleasant, the bathrooms, public spaces, rooms and casino are clean and well cared for, and the pool area was relaxing with its beautiful mountain views. (summer pool parties here are wild and I would not use the word ‘relaxing’ for those times though LOL). I especially love the stairway to the lower level bar! I don’t really gamble so I can’t speak for the dealers or machines but it was decently busy at all times of day and night when I walked through, and consumers appeared happy and content. The location of the resort is phenomenal, too as it is located only a hop, skip, and jump away from the very best parts of Central Scottsdale. You can quickly Uber or Waymo or bring your own car, but everything is just a quick ride away. Overall I had a very enjoyable experience and would recommend staying here for anyone wanting a great, casino experience in greater Phoenix. I have a lot of homebuyers from out of state who relocate to Arizona and they often talk about how Scottsdale has been dubbed “mini las vegas”. This place certainly helps us fit that mold! 🎰
Went for a show in the Grand Balllroom. Was a little confused on exactly where to go. I called the ballroom and was told just follow the signs to the casino and then look for the ballroom. Also said do not follow directions to the Amphitheater. Same name but not the same place. Parking was easy for us but we got there early for dinner. Some said they waited and had trouble finding a spot. After inside it was pretty easy to figure out where to go. Busy casino but nice place overall. Glad I called for directions cause outside said nothing about ballroom.
We recently celebrated our anniversary here and we had a great time. Wish we would of went home winners of course, but we had hours of entertainment and the stay was great. We had a bit of a mix up when booking a second night and they really helped us out and made the trip much better. Thank you and we will be coming back to stay again.
Our experience working with the event team at Talking Stick Resort for the 2025 Phoenix Regional Duplicate Bridge Tournament was outstanding from start to finish. Sheena, our account manager, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She answered every question with patience and clarity, and worked closely with us to make sure our contract and event details were spot-on. She even helped secure a generous spa donation for our raffle, which added a fun and memorable touch for our players. Francesca and the reservations team made coordinating hotel rooms smooth and stress-free. With a large group and plenty of last-minute changes, we were so grateful for her organization, professionalism, and flexibility. Many of our players stayed at the resort and were pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, attentiveness of the staff, and the privacy. And during the event itself, Tim and the catering staff were exceptional. Everything ran like clockwork, and any request we had was handled quickly and with a smile. The service was top-notch, and it helped create a welcoming and well-run experience for our guests. Thanks to the entire team at Talking Stick, our event was a success in every way—and we’re already looking forward to working with them again for 2026!
I reserved a dinner at Orange Sky for my wedding anniversary. The dinner experience was amazing. The entrees were fantastic. The portions were big so be conservative on the ordering. The food was so good me and the wife filled up before the main course got there and the steak was amazing. Yes this is a pricey place to eat, but what you're paying for definitely meets the expense with tip and all I put down $400 (I do not regret a single penny). The brussel sprouts dish I have been bragging about to everyone I pass. "Yes I said brussel sprouts" 5/5 stars 10/10 rating recommend for high important events in your life.
The hotel and casino are nice. Although, I've never been to successful as far as gambling on the slot machines. FAR, FAR too many 10 line penny/nickle machines. They need more single line pay machines at 25 cents to $5 machines. You're spending that much anyway on the current machines and winning doesn't seem to be any more successful.
Staff in the casino cannot keep their heads on straight, and same with the hotel. Consistent mix-ups, constantly berating me about my ID, and not being able to accomplish the simplest of tasks (like telling people not to berate me while I'm trying to relax). Thank you for not only ruining my weekend, but wasting my money in the process. Will never be coming back again, was NOT relaxing at ALL.
For not being Vegas, its pretty good. Easy to find, good amount of parking even on weekends, good bar and casino. Attended a concert by the pool. It was cramped and the seats were crappy. Will come back to the bar/casino but not for comcert.

The food court is accessible to everyone and it is very cozy. Weekends can get very busy but even with the crowds this mall still remains as scottsdale's most sophisticated place to shop and enjoy!
Nice blend between high end store and your everyday regular brands. Lucid store is nice addition as well. Food court is average with ample seating capacity.
Very nice big Mall with many designers boutiques and a movie theater. New stores are about to open. Trolley outside the Mall can give you a ride around the city. Great location in old Town Scottsdale.
Beautiful High end mall. One day I’ll know I made it when I can afford some of the crazy priced items here ha ha. I’m just not one who would ever spend thousands on a purse and such, but to each their own. Crazy seeing a Tesla spot inside. They also offer your basics like Bath and Body Works, Vans, Dillards and more here. If anything you’ll definitely get your exercise while walking this three story location.
A very nice shopping mall. The decor was pleasing to look at while walking around. The flow worked well, food court on bottom level and all shops above. The signage helped to find our way around as first time visitors.
Absolutely amazing and well-kept area. The parking garage is always 100% clean. Very easy to follow when walking in. Everything is so clean. Everyone is so kind and helpful whenever you need it. Stores are constantly open and never failing to show the best of their best. I would recommend this to anyone whether you have shopping spree money or not. It's just an amazing place to walk around. It's beautiful open and there's so much to do
Park near the capitol one cafe and Apple Store, there is an underground lot that is free and has some reserved spots that are not available M-F 9-5pm. Enter through the ramp along the wall near camelback rd. No one knows because it’s not obvious, weekends are so easy because the entire lot is virtually empty. Most people ccircle around endlessly upstairs near shake shack! Don’t waste your time!
While the mall is nice, much like most high end malls, many of the stores close early. The parking garage needs more light and security. Nespresso was a fun stop with great coffee.

We did the docent led tours by JOE, he was amazing!!! The museum is very cool but the tour made it really special, thank you Joe! Free parking across the street, also 1 block from Main Street galleries
Arguably the best "small" museum I've ever been to. Incredible exhibits, great layout, super friendly staff. The Johm Clymer and John Clayton exhibits were as good as anything I've seen in years. Strongly recommend checking this out.
This is rated the best Western Museum in the US. A wonderful collection, tastefully displayed and volunteers are taking efforts to explain the contents. The bronze sculptures, the pottery and the paintings are very beautiful. Really good experience.
It's a good museum, the architecture of the building is great. As a person who grew up in Arizona I didn't personally find the museum content that interesting. The price is pretty comparable to other museums, but overall the collection and space is a little small. I would say the thing I disliked most was that it predominantly uses the voices and art of white people to talk about native people and cultures. If this wants to be a museum about the time and history of this area, they might include more accurate information on how the land was stolen, how the people and cultures were destroyed, and other painful but true parts of the history of the south west. If they want it to be a museum about the American gold rush, cowboy life, and the history related to that, that's fine too, but that isn't what they are claiming in the messaging. Overall a good museum but I wouldn't ever need to go twice
I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this museum! It has you classics... statues, paintings, pottery. It has the wild.... card cheating devices and thumbscrews. It tells you history and gives you insight to American Indians and Pioneer relationships. The docents are super informative!
This is a fabulous museum with a personable and knowledgeable docent staff. It's spacious, modern and the perfect backdrop for astounding bronze statues of western figures, both indigenous and immigrants. The paintings, Navajo weavings, jewelry and too much assorted bric-a-brac to count made for a wonderfully immersive experience into Western history. I cannot recommend more highly! Plus easy parking. Go there! Allow several hours.
Must visita I don't care how far you are from this museum, it is amazing. great pictures, statues. don't forget to go to the second floor. Thank you
This is such a great museum to visit if you’re in the Scottsdale area! So much to learn from the incredible art and history that this museum is storing. Not only is this a great museum, it’s a magnificent place to hold an event. The staff provided everything we needed to create an event experience for our guests. The facilities are perfect for hosting a corporate event with clean washrooms and the ability to use the centred courtyard, also known as a sculpture garden, for an outdoor style feeling.

Solid ballpark. Really enjoyed our spring training game in the sunshine. Shout out to the folks on the field who helped secure a baseball for a young fan. Made his day (and ours). And to the gal who took our group photo and had me sign her hat!
Stadium Seats in Sun or Shade?? Very nice spring training facility and good updates over the years it has been opened. Same as other sports venue prices have skyrocketed over the last 5 years - 19 or 24 oz beer is $16.50 + tax 🤪. Lawn Tickets are $40; tickets with a seat are at least $65 with the fees…. Location — there is a “roof” overhang that goes from 1st base side 310 around to 309 on 3rdbase side that provides shade. It gives shade to almost all of the seats in sections 300 - 310 (all rows) but these are metal “bleacher” seats with a back; the seats are numbered and they give you a decent amount of room. Row 1 on the third base side won’t get shade until the second inning - Rows 2 through 10 will have it the whole game. Sections 305 and 306 row 1, about seats 11-19, are obstructed by the railing (tall people can see over it but short people will have to look through the railing bars) 200 - 210 sections: Some of the upper rows in these sections on first base side will have shade as well as some of the upper rows on the third base side. Enjoy the game!
I live about 0.4 miles from Scottsdale Stadium, and tonight’s concert (around 7:15 PM) was so loud and bass-heavy that my entire home vibrated. I could clearly hear and feel the music inside my house with the windows closed — not faint background sound, but deep subwoofer bass that physically shook the walls and furniture. It’s unacceptable for a city-funded venue to broadcast noise at that intensity into residential neighborhoods. This isn’t the first time the stadium has hosted events, but it’s by far the loudest I’ve ever experienced in the 18 months I’ve lived here. The low frequencies traveled so far that it was impossible to relax or focus indoors, and the vibration didn’t let up. If this continues past 10 PM, it’s even worse — there’s no reason for residents to have to deal with concert-level sound pressure late at night. It’s clear that proper sound control or low-frequency mitigation is not being enforced here. Other residents in the area deserve to know that this can and does happen — the noise travels for nearly half a mile and causes noticeable structural vibration. Peace and quiet in your own home should be a basic expectation, not something overridden by a city-approved event. If you value your evening peace, be aware that when events are held at Scottsdale Stadium, you may not get it. This is a serious disturbance, and the City of Scottsdale should review and enforce stricter noise limits immediately.
Scottsdale Stadium — Great Baseball, Great Atmosphere, and Questionable Adult Decisions Scottsdale Stadium is one of the best spots in Arizona for Spring Training — a perfect blend of old-school charm, sun, shade (if you plan ahead), and that relaxed baseball vibe that makes March feel like a warm hug. We’ve hit a bunch of Spring Training parks, and Scottsdale is easily one of the most fun — even if the prices suddenly think they’re the Four Seasons. Yes, a 19–24 oz beer runs $16.50 plus tax. Yes, lawn tickets are now around $40. And yes, if you want an actual seat, you’re looking at $65+ with fees. Welcome to baseball in 2025. Bring sunglasses and a second mortgage. SUN vs SHADE — READ THIS BEFORE YOU MELT This place is a sun trap if you’re not careful. Here’s the real shade breakdown: Sections 300–310 These are under the “roof” overhang from 310 on the first-base side around to 309 on third base. -All rows get shade the whole game -Metal bleachers with backs -More room than you’d expect -Row 1 on the 3B side won’t get shade until about the 2nd inning -Sections 305 & 306, Row 1, Seats 11–19 have railing obstruction (tall people: fine; short people: enjoy the “jail cell” experience) Sections 200–210 Some of the upper rows on both the 1B and 3B sides get shade as the game goes on. If you don’t enjoy roasting alive, sit high. Seats under the misters The best seats in the stadium. Period. This is how baseball should always be consumed — cool breeze, cold drink, zero regrets. The Stadium Experience Scottsdale is a older nice little ballpark — intimate, easy to navigate, and no nosebleeds anywhere. If you want to feel close to the action without selling a kidney, this is your stadium. The staff is great, the grounds are beautiful, and the backdrop with Camelback Mountain makes you feel like you’re watching baseball inside a postcard. Food selection is solid (expensive, but solid). The team store is loaded with Giants gear and Spring Training merch — dangerously so. I walked out poorer and happier. Standard baseball dad behavior. Parking Depending on who you ask, parking can suck. My take? Get there early. Otherwise, you’ll be circling Old Town like an Uber driver with a broken GPS. Sound System / Views Sound is kinda rough. Old ballpark = old speakers. But honestly, the vibe more than makes up for it. The Highlight for Us We literally dug a baseball out from under the fence. Crawling around like raccoons at a tailgate. Zero shame. Absolute victory for my son. That alone bumped this stadium from 3 stars to 4. Final Verdict If you're doing Spring Training in Arizona, Scottsdale Stadium is an absolute must. Great baseball energy, great location right in Old Town, shade if you plan ahead, misters if you're smart, and probably the best overall “hang out and watch baseball” atmosphere in the Cactus League. Plus, if you keep your eyes open, you might just score a free souvenir from under the fence.
First time here. This is a cute ballpark. Watched spring training game 2025 Cubs vs Giants play. The seats under the misters and in the shade were the best in the park. Definitely will come again
Attending a spring training game between the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Athletics at Scottsdale Stadium is an experience that beautifully encapsulates the essence of baseball season in Arizona. Nestled in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, the stadium offers fans an intimate and engaging atmosphere, allowing for a closer connection to the game and its players. One of the standout features of Scottsdale Stadium is its prime location. Situated amidst the vibrant energy of Old Town Scottsdale, fans have easy access to a plethora of dining, shopping, and entertainment options before and after the game. The proximity to local attractions enhances the overall experience, making it convenient to explore the rich culture and lively ambiance of the area. The stadium itself, with a seating capacity of 12,000, provides a cozy yet electric environment that brings fans close to the action. The design of the ballpark ensures that every seat offers a great view, fostering a sense of camaraderie among attendees. Whether you're seated behind home plate or enjoying the game from the lawn, the atmosphere is both relaxed and exhilarating. A spring day game at Scottsdale Stadium is particularly delightful. The Arizona sun shines brightly, creating a warm and inviting setting that enhances the enjoyment of America's pastime. The well-maintained grounds and the backdrop of Camelback Mountain add to the picturesque scene, making it a perfect outing for families, friends, and baseball enthusiasts alike. Moreover, the stadium's amenities cater to a wide range of preferences. From traditional ballpark fare to local culinary delights, the concessions offer something for everyone. The staff is known for their friendliness and dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests. In conclusion, attending a spring training game between the Giants and the Athletics at Scottsdale Stadium is more than just watching a baseball game; it's about immersing oneself in a community event that celebrates the sport, the local culture, and the joy of shared experiences under the sun. Make sure you bring and use sunblock!
Great facility, convenient and free parking options, adequate restrooms and concessions. Only wish there were more varieties of food options and more diet drink options. And it would be nice if the beers were not $17 each.
In the last two years, I've been lucky enough to visit Scottsdale Stadium for a couple of San Francisco Giants Spring Training games. There's heaps of parking everywhere. The stadium is easy to get in and out of. Navigation in the park is simple, and because it's a smaller ballpark, every seat is great. No nosebleeds here. Concessions are fine. The gem here is the SF Giants fan store that's chockablock full of all kinds of Spring Training gear. I grabbed one of the orange 2025 official Spring Training ball caps and a few more decals for my collection. See you next year, Scottsdale!

Beautiful outdoor field where the Diamondbacks and Rockies spend their spring training each year. The grass seating in the outfield is ideal and still (relatively) cheap. If you arrive an hour and a half early, you’ll catch the players warming up and can shag fly balls in the outfield. You can also score free autographs from the players! The food and drinks are also great. Highly recommend!
3* is good; nobody deserves 5* Nice park for spring training dbacks and rockies WAY OVERPRICED but. You choose to pay for it Some shaded seating mostly in the sun. Sunscreen is about $10 It's gonna cost you some $$$ to go to a spring training game. Probably the cost of 5 regular season games for the fairweather fans of d backs You can park at the mall nearby and walk for free parking. BC of course they'll gouge to for that as well. But once again you go, you are willing to pay
Fall League baseball is a hidden gem. Salt River field is a great place to watch it, too. $12 a ticket for us seniors with free parking. The announced attendance for our game was 692. Sit wherever you want and enjoy the game. Usually games go much faster than MLB but on occasion they can go slower as the pitchers can be wild and there are lots of walks. But watching baseball these days can be very expensive so Fall League games at Salt River is a bargain. From the time we arrived, everyone from the ticket seller to the folks inside were super friendly, too. If there is a quibble, we certainly want more 12:30 starts. It makes the trip home faster if you leave before Rush Hour.
Great overall experience watching the Arizona Fall League. The stadium is clean and has a good beer selection. Fall League is one of the best baseball bargains at $12/ticket for seniors with open seating. Can easily get seats directly behind homeplate. A very small parking area in front of the stadium if you arrive early enough. Otherwise parking around the corner past the soccer fields. Don't even consider parking at the Great Wolf Lodge, could get towed and the police were watching.
Was here for the ballon fest the grounds was very well maintained and kept clean. Always could find a staff member to ask questions to. Spook spectacular balloon fest is a must try but only comes once a year.
We went to the balloon spectacular festival. This was the 5 year we went. Every year is awesome the kids love it.
Main field beat field n ever played on. Even side fields are top notch! Grounds keeper are amazing
Beautiful ball park, watched a Diamondbacks/Rockies Spring Training game. Ample parking (you do have to pay parking) lots of food, drink and merchandise shopping options. Everything is cashless, so make sure you have debut/credit cards or pay with your phone.

Great hike. Decent workout but not overwhelming. The flowers were incredible 4/1/23. Good parking and very well marked. Definitely one of the best hikes near Phoenix.
Best hike ever... quite the ways to get to but that makes it desolate and I love it. So much nicer than cramped trails like PP.
Breathtaking views once you get there. I am 60 and out of shape but made it. I almost quit at the halfway point heading up. With some encouragement from the people with me, I made it. It is 2.05 miles out and the same back. They say the first mile or so is the toughest. I would agree. It did take me 1 hr 20 mins out and 1 hr 05 mins back. We good shoes that don't slip because the path is well maintained but the small pebbles and sand can cause you to lose your footing. I saw people of all ages out there. Lots of beautiful spring flowers and cacti.
Nice easy hike. Perfect 72 degree weather. Bring water. Restrooms are available.
One of the best hikes around Scottsdale and North Phoenix area.
This was an easy, relaxing morning hike. I enjoyed all about it. It still a workout so please dress and prepare accordingly but it was nice. Beautiful. My suggestion, google items to take to a hike. Be ready to take risks. Take wipes, lotion and extra water with you. Take gloves if you care to Climb rocks. Take firm/solid shoes. Take clothes that don’t show your sweat. What an amazing trail, I do recommend. Know that GOOGLE OR MAPS HAVE NOT updated the GPS route to get there, my advice to you is to get there by asking questions to the people that is from there or to local businesses!!!
Very good 2.2 mile hike. I would say that it's a moderate difficulty, but to some people it could be on the challenging side. Only one or two small boulders. Took me just over two hours to go out and back. Very good signage.
Great hike, I wouldn’t call it easy though. Took us almost 2 hours to get to the top and back to our car.

The museum was cool for racing enthusiasts. It’s small, can get through quickly, but the best part? It’s nestled in the midst of the Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley, etc. dealerships. LOL. My husband and boys were like kids in a candy store. My girls even seemed to be intrigued with the beauty of these cars. The staff didn’t seem to mind us wandering through the lot and showroom to gawk and appreciate what they were selling. Definitely enjoyed our time there.
Super nice surprise finding this in Scottsdale AZ. To top it off, IT'S FREE. Looking at those beautiful cars that made raceing history from different years and drivers. Not a very big museum, but when you look, that it's all from the one team. That is impressive in so many ways.
Such a nice little museum, and free admission to boot. I'm not a big car buff but it was still quite enjoyable to visit. They've got a cars dating back to the 60s including multiple Indy 500 winners. After they retire the cars they do a great job refurbishing then and making the look brand new again. It's interesting to see how the car body shapes have changed over time. The gentleman who was at the desk was a font of interesting knowledge and pointed out things about the cars we had not noticed. Definitely worth seeing, you can spend as little as a few minutes or over an hour. We fell in the latter category :) Don't miss the second floor, they've got a large trophy case and models of the cars up there.
The museum itself is actually quite small — just a single exhibit hall, not even two floors. But that’s not the most exciting part of this place. What really makes it special is the massive collection of ultra-luxury car dealerships connected to it. You’ll find Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and even a Bugatti. You can freely walk around, sit inside, and take a close look at the cars. Many of the vehicles are displayed right in the parking lot as well. If you’re in the area, this is absolutely worth a visit — and the best part is, it’s completely free.
An absolute gem for motorsport enthusiasts! The Penske Racing Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the history and achievements of one of the most successful teams in racing. Even better – admission is completely free, which makes this a must-visit for anyone interested in cars, racing, or engineering excellence. The museum features a stunning collection of race cars, trophies, and memorabilia from decades of competition, including highlights from IndyCar, NASCAR, and more. Each exhibit is thoughtfully displayed, and you can really feel the legacy and passion behind Team Penske. The space itself is clean, modern, and easy to explore. Whether you’re a lifelong racing fan or just curious, this museum offers something for everyone. Don’t miss the gift shop and the beautiful views from the upstairs gallery! Highly recommended – a hidden treasure in Scottsdale!
What a cool and unique place to visit — and it’s absolutely free! The Penske Racing Museum may be on the smaller side, but it’s packed with history, stunning race cars, and memorabilia that make it well worth the trip. An added bonus is that it’s located right next to several luxury car showrooms; Land Rover, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Bentley, so you can admire some incredible vehicles while you’re there. The sales staff were friendly and welcoming, even though it was obvious we were just tourists enjoying the sights (and definitely not in the market for an $800k car!). Overall, this is a must-see stop for any car or racing enthusiast visiting the Scottsdale area. Well done, Penske. This museum is a class act!
Really neat thing to unexpectedly find outside of the Motorsports hubs of Charlotte and Indianapolis. Quick 10-15 minutes inside the ground floor will show you the cars, with a cafe and trophies upstairs. Afterwards, browse the adjacent dealerships for cars you can only dream of driving.
Neat museum of racecars sandwiched between high end car dealerships. It's free admission also and when you're done you can wander around the lot looking at Ferraris, Bentleys, and Lamborghinis. Pretty awesome.

Visited to buy a birthday present - a wind chime. Toured the various workshops. They have a working forge and kilns. The custom make wind chimes, tiles, and jewelry. And they have classes to teach you how yourself.
Nice place to check out if you are in the area. Great to see a working studio tucked in the middle of a fully developed residential area. Friendly staff, interesting architecture/studio, if you time it right you can see them pouring into the castings, etc, which I did not see. You can also purchase from the huge selection displayed through the compound. Free parking, no pressure to buy anything.
Otherworldly place where you can take in the scenery and learn about art. This is a very unique place unlike any place you've ever been. It is hot and that adds to the ambience, bring some appropriate clothing. One of the more fascinating parts about our vacation, definitely a place to remember. Worth the drive. Not too far though.
Very cool studio to enjoy the outdoors and artwork. I've always wanted one of their patina wind chimes and picked one up today. Highly recommend visiting if you want a unique souvenir.
It's a cool experience if you're passing through the area. Spent maybe 25 minutes roaming around. It's quite small. The architecture was very intriguing. There are some good photo op areas. If you person appreciate either art or architecture, I'd give it a go!
Nice outdoor art gallery where they create wind chimes on site. They have some spectacular pieces, and all are for sale.
This was such an interesting place to visit. I enjoyed scoping out the architecture, and I adored the sound of the bells. I was so fortunate to see bell's being poured the day I visited. It was fascinating to watch. Molten metal was poured into the molds...so exciting. It was a grand adventure.
The signage is there, but not obvious. But once you walk down the entrance path, there is a beautiful showroom for their handcrafted bells & tiles. A little further on you can watch them pour liquid brass or aluminum into earthen molds. Small cafe on site. On certain days the offer hands on workshops. (Sadly my tile making workshop was canceled.) Plenty of parking though very little shade. The history of the place is interesting, and you have to admire those who carry on the legacy is fairly rustic facilities.

Modern marine habitat offering viewing tanks & open-air pools where visitors can swim with dolphins.

My daughter and did this with girl scouts. I will have to say we had a blast. Decent prices and lots of neat stuff to see. We highly recommend it. Dolphins are happy and well kept, trainers are friendly and knowledgeable about the dolphins and ocean life. Facility is clean.
This was a great experience as a birthday present. The staff was exceptional, educated, kind, and helpful. The time spent with the dolphins felt long. It was very cold, but they had heaters on and people wrapped in towels. My biggest, and only complaint, was the “viewing” area. They don’t have a big observation area and that is designed so you purchase their insanely expensive photo and video package. I wish you could just watch and enjoy the experience.
Very cool. We got to go as part of a holiday party so it was free to us, little bit pricey otherwise. Great place though...dolphins all looked happy and healthy. Handlers all seemed to love their job. Kids had a blast. Worth visiting again!
Really neat concept, real expensive. REAL EXPENSIVE. The prices online are cheaper..however you cannot purchase online day of. I called and was quoted the same price as online. I was unable to get them back on the phone, so we drove in. Mysteriously the price went up 12 dollars. I asked why and she said well each lesson price varies and I said I asked for this class on the phone and it matched the online price so confused why it's diff at the counter . So that set the tone. There isn't much of a place to sit and wait on those that are swimming and while there are a few benches under umbrellas the umbrellas shades the sidewalk behind the bench..so I stood for an hour. Not fun. Or I could go to the restaurant and watch was the suggestion.. so pay more to sit and watch? this place charges theme park prices for photos.. no bueno. My friends that went said they would have done the land experience instead of the water one in 3ft..pretty much the same but in water..
My daughter had a blast. They just need more shade at the beach club and a nicer front desk manager. Other than that we love it we loved how the schedule 2 dolphins for my daughters appointment. We were with sea star actually and we love the experience . We love the beach club too even thought they need shade.
This was a great experience for our entire family! Learning about dolphins with this hands on approach is a chance of a lifetime. The trainers are excellent with dolphins and humans alike. This made our 8 year olds day. If you haven't been kisses by a dolphin, it's not too late!
This place is honestly really amazing. I was taken here for my birthday and I had an absolute blast! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The only downside to this place is the cost of the photos. A photographer is with you, taking pictures of your visit, which is great! Then the pictures turn out to be insanely expensive. $49 for a single digital copy? It would have been over $300 for the entire set of pictures, most of which where very similar to the ones before it, as she she said she had "just held the button down." If the photos were more reasonable, it would be great. The gift shop is nice, plenty of things to remember your visit, prices are a bit high but doable.
My 13 year old niece loved it. She had a blast. I would say it's worth the cost, but bring a good camera to avoid buying the over priced photos ($55 for two 5x7s). You can tell they treat the dolphins well, it's a beautiful place, and the trainers seemed very enthusiastic about their jobs, which made it better.
