The Mission Old Town is a sophisticated restaurant and lounge that offers contemporary Latin cuisine and artisanal cocktails. It has two locations in Old Town and Kierland, each with its own unique ambiance. The Old Town location is situated next to The Old Adobe Mission, reflecting the area's rich history, while the Kierland counterpart boasts a more modern atmosphere with stylish decor and ample outdoor seating.
The food was wonderful, with large portions! We split the Shaved Kale Salad, and they brought out what looked like two full-size servings of salad. Service was great. We never felt rushed. The main dining area is very loud. Outside dining was much quieter. The outside dining in the back of the restaurant was much cooler than the front (east facing?). Reservations required.

We came here with our family an 8 top and they accommodated us wonderfully! We had a reservation and had excellent service. Most of us had drinks and they were all delicious! I had the steak tacos and wow it hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and full of flavor. We all loved the guacamole as well which we got 2 orders of. The energy here is very modern. We will definitely come back again. Definitely a great experience, service, food, and atmosphere!

We visited The Mission in Scottsdale after landing, with my husband, daughter-in-law, and grandson. It was just before the dinner hour, and while the restaurant itself had a nice setting, the service unfortunately left much to be desired. The hostess looked exhausted and not very welcoming, and our waitress greeted us with a tone right from the start. When my grandson asked if there were other drink options besides what she listed, she curtly responded, “What I told you is what we have, nothing else.” He then decided on a Shirley Temple, which arrived without any syrup and tasted off. When we mentioned it, she replied, “I made it and oh maybe the syrup is out,” but didn’t seem too concerned. The only time we saw her smile was when she handed my husband the check. On the positive side, the mahi mahi tacos were delicious. However, there were no food options for toddlers, and overall the service didn’t feel friendly or attentive. Considering the cost of dining out, it just wasn’t worth it. For us, this won’t be a place we try again.

We had the carnitas for two - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this meal. We also ordered the guacamole which was served and prepared table side, which was fantastic. They even allow you to measure the amount of heat with the Serano peppers, so if you like it spicy or mild, you could get it however you would like. Chips and salsa were top notch, thin, crispy chips, and a very good salsa that was light and refreshing. We got the duck empanadas for appetizer, which were absolutely delicious. Unlike any empanada I’ve ever eaten. For dessert, we got their homemade ice cream, I would consider it to basically be Mexican Street corn, which was really good and really unique and very light and taste and palate cleansing. Our waitress was outstanding and suggested are entrée and dessert which we were very grateful for!

If you are looking for delicious 😋 Mexican come here I am vegan/vegetarian and ate butternut squash tacos(🌮 so good And the best I ever ate). I also had the cauliflower entree and it was also good. Then my husband raved about his braised short rib tacos and they were...a WOW factor! Our friends ordered chicken tacos and they were raving about theirs too. Jesse was an excellent waiter and took pictures of all of us.

We're from Austria in Europe and visited The Mission on our trip through the southwestern United States in our rented RV. We were quickly and easily assigned a table, and the friendly, smiling server immediately asked us what we wanted to drink and promptly brought water and the wine we ordered. The specialty, which most people eat here, is the guacamole. It's prepared at the table by a staff member and tastes delicious. A visit is definitely worth it; highly recommended. Klaus & Karin

It's been many years since we have been to The Mission, so I was happy to return for a birthday meal. They sat us promptly at our reservation time and I received excellent attention from all staff, including some happy birthday wishes. The table side guac is always a nice treat with a marg. I forgot you can sit outside, may try that next time.
Natalie B — Google review
Service was a bit slower than expected but overall a really great experience. The guac is top tier, I was going to order the corn and the server immediately made me change my mind and I don’t regret switching. You can tell the fresh preparation in all of the food. I’d definitely come back again when visiting Arizona.

Cocktail bar
Gastropub
Citizen Public House, established by former Cowboy Ciao culinary master chef Bernie Kantak, offers a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere and serves classic American dishes with a modern twist. The menu features delectable options such as scallops, crispy sesame pork belly, the famous Original Chopped Salad, and delightful desserts. The restaurant has received numerous accolades since its opening in 2011 and is known for its creative craft cocktails and barrel-aged drinks.
one of the best salmon i've ever had, exquisitely pan seared and soft in the middle. seafood chowder was wonderful too. didn't realize it was restaurant week. Jason at the bar took great care of me. most americans wouldn't like the dessert as much, probably thinking it's a dry brownie, but i enjoyed it a lot because it wasn't too sweet. i've come here twice now and will certainly be back again soon! very high quality service and cuisine, significantly better than the average "nice-looking" 4.5/5 star spots around scottsdale (e.g. every single place around fashion square, etc). i'd give this one a 6 or 7 stars if i could.
Andy T — Google review
The best experience, food and service I've had in a long time. Sad but true. Every plate was greatly put together and flavors all complimented each other. I would have had dessert but there was no way I could fit any more food in my belly and there was no way I was packing it to go. It was too good for the next day microwave. Absolutely not.
Rose R — Google review
Second visit and food was amazing just like my first experience! Their chopped salad was my personal favorite and their menu seems to have been updated since my last visit so I tried a few more new dishes like short ribs, zaatar cauliflower, and beef stroganoff. As for the atmosphere, it was a bit dark for photos and noise level was pretty high during the evening. Would come back for the chopped salad and pasta menus!

Huge shout out to Caylen (manager) and Ryan (chef) for making our anniversary special. I left a note on my reservation mentioning the special occasion. I wasn’t expecting much, but they over delivered in every way. They gave us the best table, a special note saying happy anniversary, and best of all… the chef made us a special dessert that’s not on the menu. A plum pudding, made just for us because plums are in season. Everything was impeccable and Canley personally ensured our experience was fantastic. I can’t recommend citizen public house enough, and we will be coming back regularly.
Louis H — Google review
We were enjoying our Sunday between going to the Museum of Contemporary Art a few blocks away and the Bavarian festival. We stopped at Citizen public house for some snacks and drinks with our baby. We found the staff to be very accommodating and it was kid friendly. We mostly ordered happy hour snacks and drinks to check out the restaurant and it beyond exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to go back and try more menu items. The place has a luxurious, relaxing vibe. Everyone was friendly. We highly recommend.
Ruslana S — Google review
Classic atmosphere, and the food was fire! That's how this place is. It's like the place your dad takes you to on your birthday when you're 15 and he wants tontreat you like a man. Or the place he takes you at 22 after no one showed up to the 1st party you threw. It's the place your dad loves and brings you there because he: a) has no clue what you like, and b) he loves you unconditionally. Audra made me this amazing Old Fashioned, and there's nothing old fashioned about it. That's why I'm posting. The food was amazing, but the friendliness from Audra is why I'm posting this comment. Audra made me a classic twist on a classic cocktail. The dark chocolate cherry old fashioned. It still tastes like an old fashioned, but this drink is all new to me. Chocolate bitters and cherries update the classic to a fun after dinner cocktail. The chocolate and cherries come through; their presence in the cocktail is undeniable, and it still tastes like a classic Old Fashioned. Bravo Audra! Thank you for the experience.

Gastropub
FnB Restaurant, located in downtown Scottsdale's Craftsman Court, is a renowned gastropub offering a farm-to-table dining experience. Helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Charleen Badman, the restaurant prides itself on sourcing fresh local ingredients from Arizona farms. The menu features an array of New American dishes with global influences, such as Thai-style stuffed pork cabbage rolls and Mexican pink grouper with summer squash.
Excellent dinner with front of house staff that truly care about guests’ experience, and chefs that execute on the great vision of the menu. I had Brussels cooked until velvety tender that soaked up a creamy coconut curry sauce, topped with crunchy onions. Then had a lamb dumpling dish with tons of savory, spiced lamb flavor brightened and rounded out with fresh mint and cilantro, pomegranate and yogurt. Had very yummy labneh and berry ice cream they source from a local shop. Also had the bottled phony negroni, which was not as amazing as the food, but not bad. Highly recommend this restaurant for a good dining experience and enjoying food you can taste people care about making.

Lovely spot in Scottsdale. Tucked away in a little courtyard, I sat on the patio and enjoyed the asparagus with tzatziki and the lamb dumplings. Both were light, perfectly balanced - in fact, just perfect. I finished off with their butterscotch pudding which is apparently a permanent fixture on the menu. They also have great local wines, and the service was quick and attentive. This is great food and wine, so in my view it’s reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely evening, FnB. 😊✨

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful and well worth the visit! We booked a reservation (which requires a deposit) but our flight was delayed. We called and they were so kind and accommodating for us. We were very glad we were able to make it work because the food and service was phenomenal. We ordered the green salad, potato buns with duck fat, and pork chops with seasonal squash. Every bite was full of flavor and the pork chop was the most tender pork chop I’ve ever had. This restaurant is a must stop for your next Scottsdale visit!

FnB is truly amazing, it deserves to be Michelin rated. The food is so creative and made with such high quality, consistently across all dishes. The vegetable-forward cuisine is completely unique, with incredible blends of flavors that pull from different influences but clearly have a very distinctive style of Chef Charleen Badman. The care to balance flavor, visual, and texture is honestly second to none, and we eat out a lot! It is artistry, and the intimate but easy ambience has made every visit a memorable experience. The entire staff is engaging and very competent, this restaurant hits on all cylinders.

Food is surprisingly nice. Especially like the source for the carrot which blended very well with the nuts. Egg plant and Okra are also tasting great. Okra matched very well with curry. It is because Pork has been sold out tonight, it has been changed to steak. Wao, the steak was amazing. Appreciated alot the vegetable portion in each dish. This restaurant really serves good food!
Rosalex R — Google review
First meal in Phoenix, just astonishing. Local crops mix with new flavours, the taste is so new and amazing. We 3 ordered 4dishes of veggies, 3dishes of meat, and 2 dessert, I chose to not recommend any dish solely, cuz the menu are changing monthly. All I can say all 9 of my order are truly amazing. Even better than some of the Michelin 3stars’ Issac keep checking on us, making sure the flow won’t be too fast, Washroom are clean, paper handkerchief in good quality, shampoo is aromatic P.S. the ginger beer(non-alcoholic) is just so good, as a ginger beer guy, this is the best ginger beer iml

Cant believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Absolutely phenomenal. If you're in town you have to go! I can't say enough great things. Veggie forward menu with some meat options as well. I promise you've never had vegetables prepared this well. The staff is great, HEY MILES, and people seem to like working here which you don't always see. The menu changes often so I won't comment on what we had but every time we come to town we visit and it has all been delicious. Easily the best restaurant in town and one of my favorites in the whole country! Go now, stop reading and treat yourself!

Seated outside in the courtyard and atmosphere was great. Focaccia bread, roasted squash and steak were the standouts. Sea bass was fishy and did not taste that fresh. Chocolate date cake was a bit dry.

It focuses on health and wellness, providing guided hikes, standup paddleboard yoga, tennis, nutrition workshops, and fitness classes. The award-winning spa offers unique treatments for ultimate relaxation.
Exceptional and one of the few experiences we would say matches up to Four Seasons and Disney. Really cool casita rooms providing comfort and seclusion. Impeccable spa service with staff super responsive and friendly, making you feel at home. Food was absolutely delicious with some Asian inspired fair and also vegetarian options. Grounds were immaculate to walk around to burn off an evening meal. Would highly recommend people go here if they are looking for a high quality Scottsdale experience.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent reservation experience. On the day of check-in, I received a call stating that my reserved room was unavailable due to water damage. While I understand that unforeseen maintenance issues can occur, the way this was handled was extremely concerning. I was offered a downgraded room as an alternative, with the explanation that I would receive additional daily credit in lieu of a rate adjustment. However, the rate I paid was already based on a last-minute booking, and no reduction was made despite the downgrade. In other words, I am now paying the full price for a lesser room. What makes this situation even more troubling is that, as of this writing, the upgraded room I originally booked still appears as available on your website. This raises serious concerns about transparency and business practices. It suggests one of two possibilities: 1.The property continues to advertise rooms that are not actually available, misleading potential guests. 2. Certain guests are being selectively reassigned or treated unfairly. Neither scenario reflects the integrity or professionalism one would expect from your establishment. I am requesting a full review of this incident and a clear explanation for why my original room was canceled while still being advertised as available. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I intend to submit a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure this is not a recurring practice affecting other guests.

We were amazed by our stay at Sanctuary Camelback. Our 1-bedroom casita suite was spacious and beautifully designed, with a cozy fireplace, private patio, and luxurious bathroom. Just a short walk to the serene pool and hotel lobby, it offered the perfect balance of privacy and convenience. Although we were briefly locked out due to a miscommunication about our 4 PM late checkout, the staff quickly made it right with a sincere apology and a thoughtful gift accompanied by a handwritten note. The mountain views were breathtaking, and the service overall was warm and attentive. A perfect getaway—we would definitely be back.

Amazing Resort with excellent attention to detail and customer service and satisfaction. They go above and beyond to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable and go out of there way to accommodate your needs. The location is perfect overlooking scottsdale with beautiful sunsets and city views without the noise of a busy city. It is very quiet and peaceful. Thank you Pedro for your special attention and support.

Not sure how this gets 5star. Location gives the possibility of five star. New ownership changed this place, not keeping it up well. Pros: there were some lovely service people, nice beds, location/view Cons: safety concern-three different rooms and all the patio doors do not lock! Fireplace didn’t work in two. Water went out for the whole day while we were there and the management handled it so poorly. Bathrooms closed, food shut down, and no accommodations to help guests navigate. No offers for food or beverage options outside of resort.Spa check-in people were so rude, massage therapist was good.
Jules H — Google review
My stay at Sanatury Resort and Spa was nothing short of spectacular. My wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and professionalism that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking . Stunning views of the mountains surrounded us. The resort is thoughtfully designed to promote peace, comfort, and connection with nature. The rooms are spotless, elegantly decorated, and perfectly equipped with everything you need for a luxurious yet relaxing stay. The bed was unbelievably comfortable along with the pillows. The spa experience is world-class. The therapists are incredibly skilled, and the treatments left me feeling completely renewed. The meals at the Element restaurant were beautifully presented and delisious. If i had one critique is that the dinjng menu didnt offer alot of selections. We also enjoyed in room service which was great and about a 20-minute wait from phone call to room delivery. The house keeping was attentive with our extra demands such as additional pillows, extra bathing salts for the tub along with bath towels. All.requests were delivered to our room promptly. What truly sets Sanatury apart, however, is the staff. Every team member I interacted with went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism made me feel genuinely cared for. I give 5 stars to the concierge desk ( Claire & Rubin ) for all their help and attention to details to help male our stay memorable. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature, your partner and yourself, the Sanatury Resort and Spa is the perfect escape. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning my next visit.

I came here for a massage today, and while the service itself was nice, and the easier was nice, the men's side was very small. At once point there were 6-8 guys waiting out in various stages, and it was very full. It's not comfortable to be almost shoulder to shoulder in the changing area, or having to stand because that's no where to sit in the staging area while you wait on your masseuse to come get you. I like the place but I won't come back because of how small and dense the men's dressing room is.

If you're wandering through Scottsdale, make sure to swing by Raspa2 Jalisco for a delightful taste of authentic Mexican shaved ice. This charming spot offers an array of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds, including tamarind, chamoy, and pecan. Nestled next to Tacos Jalisco, it’s the perfect place to grab a sweet treat after enjoying some savory tacos.
I absolutely love this place! Their mangonada is the best I've ever had. The employees are so sweet and inviting. Would definitely go back when im back in town, I recommend.

Pretty small place, water was not good, they had only 4 different flavors if Agua Fresca, I tried 3 of them but not for me at all. Can't say anything about ice cream or other stuff they sale because I only consume the Aguas Frescas, no restrooms.

I live near by. So I been giving this place a chance. But everytime I go it’s not good. The strawberries are rotten they just put it in the freezer and expect it to taste good??? The tostiloko has old ingredients. Not sure why they have a problem with fresh products. I don’t recommend. Unless you get ice cream that is the only thing they can’t mess up. Also, the tall black hair girl has horrible attitude !

This place was great! It is directly attached to Tacos Jalisco so after you enjoy your meal, stop by to get a Mexican snack! They many things to choose from like elotes, flans, aguas frescas, and other items. My son got the rainbow ice cream I believe and my wife got the spinach/ pineapple/ cucumber water. They both enjoyed them. This place is an absolute must try if your in scottsdale and want to get a traditional Mexican desert.

Authentic cuisine. Everyone was friendly, I can see why it is popular with the locals.

Cool little place to get authentic Mexican treats from. My favorite is the elote en vaso and the mangonada but you can't go wrong with an agua fresca.

Customer service was great fast and very patient. Unfortunately for me the mango wasnt ripe enough nor very sweet as what I'm used to. So the treat was more tart and spicy then sweet and spicy.... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Chula Seafood is a family-owned fish market and kitchen with two locations in Scottsdale. The Heflin family catches their own seafood off the coast of San Diego, specializing in harpoon-caught swordfish and other Pacific treasures. They opened their first storefront in South Scottsdale in 2015 and recently added another location in North Scottsdale.
Some of the best seafood in Scottsdale! This bowl was delicious! Vibrant, energetic, fresh and lively food that hits the spot. These flavors were so spot on and I highly recommend this Hawaiian Style Poke bowl. The service here was wonderful and very friendly. This is a great spot to get a delicious home style meal. They also gave us a seed oil free option that was very much appreciated!

I could eat here every day. Food is phenomenal. Seafood is fresh and flown in daily from San Diego. The green chile tuna melt was so unique and flavorful (not spicy). The chimichurri compliments it so well. And the tuna in the Hawaiian poke bowl was delicious. Service is incredible as well.

Chula Seafood is my go-to for local fresh seafood in the valley! The daily specials are delicious and hearty. The raw seafood has always been stocked during my visits and everything is extremely fresh. The employees are always friendly. They also have different flavors of smoked salmon which I can't leave without! Highly recommend this establishment.

I have really been looking forward to this review. I have been coming to this spot for years, and it is my all-time favorite sashimi spot in the Phoenix area. I have only gone to the original South Scottsdale location as I lived just down the road for over a decade. They now have several locations, including in San Diego. My go-to dish is the house sashimi platter. They offer it in 2 different sizes. I usually go with the larger one but the small one will fill up most people or me when I’m not super hungry. No need to order sides with this as it comes with rice, veggies, a small salad. The original location is in a very nondescript, unassuming strip mall. Most people probably drive by and never know this place is tucked in there. So it is a treasure trove for locals. There are many more touristy spots in Scottsdale. But not sure you will find better sashimi. They serve it on bamboo leaves in a silver tray packed with ice. So fresh and delicious. The salmon, tuna - all are equally tasty. They also have a small counter with fresh fish and sushi kits available for purchase. They also sell stuff like gumbo and larger meals if you are ever hosting. I also dig their small retail offerings - particular the “Shuck Boy” t-shirt. This is one of the 1st stops for me when I am in town. A treat every time. I hope this place will always be there.

We were visiting from Seattle and weren’t sure if we’d be able to find a great seafood spot — boy, were we wrong! Chula Seafood exceeded our expectations and introduced us to an American-Hawaiian fusion we didn’t know we needed in our lives. The customer service and conversation with the staff were amazing as well. This place is truly top tier!

I went here for lunch with some coworkers and I ordered the large clam chowder and a salmon nigiri. The clam chowder was ok with good amount of clams. It was a bit watery unlike Boston style. The Salmon Nigiri had large chunks of fresh salmon inside with crispy seaweed wrapping. They served with a wasabi dipping sauce. It was quite nice and delicious! The place smells fishy when you enter which makes me question the freshness of the seafood initially. However, upon eating, it's clear that it is fresh. Perhaps they need to air out the place a bit. My coworkers generally enjoyed their meals as well.

This place came at the recommendation of one of my dear friends in Scottsdale. He said this was one of his most favorite spots and has some of the best seafood. I was very excited to check it out! Was a bit surprised when pulling into a strip mall… a very unassuming spot… I was pleasantly surprised by our experience. We were warmly greeted and elected to sit outside and enjoy our oysters and our spicy tuna bowls. There isn't table service. You order at front, and they bring it out to you. The tuna was delicious / fresh and was perfectly accompanied by great veggies. You’ll be pleasantly surprised on your visit to Chula!

The green chili tuna melt at Chula Seafood is absolutely incredible. The combination of the spicy green chilies with the creamy tuna is just perfect, and the bread is always toasted to golden perfection. It's definitely a must-try if you're in the area.

Merkin Vineyards Old Town Scottsdale is a charming and laid-back industrial-style tasting room that offers locally produced wines and seasonal dishes. The venue showcases wines crafted from grapes grown in Willcox and the Verde Valley, along with ciders and Arizona wildflower and mesquite honey sparkling mead. Nearby, visitors can also explore the offerings at Citizen Public House, known for its hearty yet diverse menu.
Everything was great, the atmosphere, the service, the food, and of course the wine. A place I would recommend for a good time. The servers are not only knowledgeable of their wines but care about you and make sure that you're doing well without being overbearing(Especially Luis, his recommendations are always fitting to what you're looking for). The Funghi pizza is delicious and cooked in their wood-fired oven and the wood oven cobbler is a tasty dessert, definitely a go-to every time I visit.

Very nice place with friendly staff. Took a tasting flight and added a sparkling wine. I respect others that seem to really enjoy those wines but to my personal taste….didn’t like them at all. Lacks of complexity. It’s hard to get the primary aromas on the nose and I never found the secondary and tertiary ones. Acidity was too high and not balanced. No real length on the palate. But we still had a good time at Merkin and I’m happy to have tried new wines with friends.

The pizza here was good and it was pretty early yet to comment on how a night would turn out here. That being said the the wine I had and the service were the shining stars and not so much the pizza. Thats also why i went here. Bridal party came in for some wine flights so I assume the place got pretty fun. It was a great glass and a nice setup!

Delicious foods!! I’ve want to go there for a while after seen pics of the bacon wrapped dates… They are so tasty and totally worth the trip. I live in Texas. The empanada was also delicious, it reminded me of empanadas I’ve had in Argentina and Chile. Had two glasses of wine a pink Jane and a red Shinola. Recommend by Derek who has to be one of the best bartenders I’ve ever met and I’ve met a few. Outstanding Merkin wines, I brought home two bottles. Also got to talk to another gentleman who was very kind and one of the cooks gave me a sample of salami that he was slicing in the bar area. Everyone’s kind and personable there 🙌🏼 This location is smaller than the Cottonwood one, it feels more intimate and cozy. The gelato was also incredible, a perfect end for a remarkable culinary / wine / social experience. I can only say: You all have to try it!!!

Best wine in old town Scottsdale. Best pizza in old town Scottsdale. Best pasta in old town Scottsdale. Chef Steve is a wizard, the guy should be on Iron Chef. Everything he creates and plates is grown fresh at the vineyards or sourced locally before being hand-delivered to the kitchen. Very creative and tasty options for all appetites that change with the seasons, check out the pics and try not to drool… Jim, the GM, is very on top of the business and takes great pride in the experiences of patrons. It’s the most reliable service in Scottsdale. He hires people who are super knowledgeable about wine and are fun to be around. So yeah, go eat and drink there immediately.

Second time coming here and it was even better than the first time !!!! As soon as we walked in it was busy and packed but we still managed to grab a table and we were immediately greeted by Anthony, he was incredibly genuine and friendly and made the experience so enjoyable !! There was only two workers in the front with a packed place and he still managed to take the time and help us out, he was incredibly attentive not only to us but to everyone in the restaurant. Truly an amazing worker with great work ethic, and even better customer service !!!!! It was absolutely amazing. Great ambiance and food followed by remarkable employees like Anthony and Luis that made it so special!!

It’s been a while since my wife and I had alone time. We found ourselves finishing early from some work we had on Sunday so we decided to check out the Merkin / Caduceus tasting room in Scottsdale. We have visited the one in Jerome a few times and enjoyed it. I was starving so I ordered a pickled plate and the Cuban sandwich. Marcus, was helping us through our food and drink decisions. Ericka ordered the Sancha because this is one of the wines we had at our wedding. Besides that he gave us a few delicious samples of wine and the food came out quickly. Great atmosphere, the windows were open to the street, the weather is beautiful in Az right now. (March) The music (coincidentally all maynards music) was not too loud. The food was locally sourced and fresh. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. Recommended for an easy going and mild mannered date night!

Berdena's is a quaint and sunny café located in Old Town Scottsdale, known for its charming pastel interiors and modern yet cheerful atmosphere. The café offers both indoor seating and an outdoor patio for enjoying coffee in the open air. Owned by Jonathan Madrigal, a Costa Rican native, Berdena's aims to provide top-notch coffee and food experiences.
There was a long line at this shop as we were looking for places that weren’t so commercial like to get some coffee ☕️ . This spot looked perfect - and so glad we waited ! The line moved pretty decently . Got our cappuccino and a honey latte and a croissant 🥐.. everything was excellent ! Service was great - the coffee was great and so was the croissant ! Definitely worth coming here !

I’ve been a regular at Berdenas for almost a year now. The quality of food, coffee and service has been amazingly consistent every time. The space is smaller, but there are plenty of windows that let in natural light which makes it feel very open. They make their own syrups, which makes a massive difference in the quality. I personally love their cardamom rose latte and matcha. Ava the barista always brightens my day, Braydon as well. He’s always consistent with perfect latte art. I will continue to come here and recommend it to anyone with ears.

Good coffee and juice. I had a cortado which was nutty and creamy. My wife had a honey lavender latte which was also good. To eat, I had the burrito which was honestly a solid burrito. Good size and it was delicious. The salsa with it was also excellent. My wife had the breakfast sandwich and it was also a solid portion and taste. It’s obviously a very busy place due to its excellent food and drink, so be prepared to stand in line when visiting during busy hours, but I don’t think we waited for longer than 15 minutes. We went at 11:00am on a Saturday and it’s my understanding that it isn’t always busy like that. 10/10 I highly recommend.

I’ve come into Berdena’s a few times and I’ve had a great experience every time. When I’ve gone in on weekend days, all of the baristas are super friendly and bring great energy to the busy store! They also have great coffee knowledge. Berdenas has one of the best cortados I’ve had in Scottsdale! The breakfast burritos are also amazing.

Berdena’s in Old Town Scottsdale is my favorite go-to for coffee with outdoor seating. Their coffee is beautifully made, try the flat white or a lavender-honey latte, and the avocado toast is always fresh and flavorful. The canal-front patio feels relaxed and charming, perfect for catching some sun. The staff are warm and efficient, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. A great spot to sip, work, or meet friends!

ShinBay offers a sophisticated dining experience with modern Japanese cuisine, featuring a signature omakase tasting. Unlike crowded nightclubs, ShinBay's reservation-only omakase room provides a relaxed and intimate setting for guests to enjoy a seven-course meal showcasing unique seafood such as sea urchin, blue shrimp, ocean trout, and barracuda. The wraparound bar ensures that every seat offers an excellent view of the culinary artistry on display.
i have now eaten at shinbay twice, and plan to many more times in the future. the atmosphere of the tasting is lovely, informative and not rushed at all. the ability of the chef to curate a seasonal menu from the finest ingredients is almost magical. the staff are playful yet professional and having the opportunity to engage with tanaka ken is really the cherry on top of a fantastic experience. the courses are other worldly - thank you!

First of all tanaka Ken or chef Ken is wonderful. He’s hilarious, great with interaction throughout the service, and prepares flavorful meals! Second, the rest of the team is A++++ in service. Professional, but warm as we joked the whole night. Intimate dinner as it was 6 of us on a Saturday night and it was everything we hoped for! PS also great at taking pictures for your party at the end of service if you ask. They really get all the angles.

I recently reserved my birthday dining at ShinBay, and it was an exceptional omakase experience that showcased the chef’s (Tanaka Ken) mastery of traditional Japanese cuisine with premium ingredients. We opted for the chef’s omakase menu, which takes diners through a beautifully curated journey of seasonal flavors and textures. Sakizuke (Appetizer): The meal began with an elegant chawanmushi featuring shirako (cod milt), hotate scallops, nasu eggplant, and soramame broad beans. The silky custard was perfectly steamed, and the combination of sea and land ingredients was harmonious. Otsukuri (Sashimi): The sashimi course was outstanding. The sagoshi (young Spanish mackerel) was buttery and fresh, while the shima aji (striped jack) had that characteristic clean, sweet flavor. The hirame with ocean trout and the olive halibut with Tasmanian accompaniment showed the chef’s creativity in pairing ingredients. Onmono (Warm Dish): The A5 Miyazaki wagyu houba yaki with matsutake mushroom was a showstopper—rich, umami-packed, and aromatic. Nigiri & Tsumami: The nigiri selection was extensive and impressive, featuring everything from delicate tako (octopus) and saba (blue mackerel) to the prized kinmedai (goldeneye snapper) and multiple preparations of ankou (monkfish). The rice temperature and seasoning were spot-on. ShinBay delivers an authentic, high-end omakase experience with impeccable fish quality and thoughtful preparation. Perfect for special occasions or anyone seeking exceptional Japanese cuisine. Reservation is highly recommended.

Me and my date are both in our 20s and the braindead maitre d' called my date a "kiddo" which put her in an absolutely terrible mood for the rest of the night. What an insane and brutish gaffe. They've made it clear that this is a fine dining establishment only in price.. All in all, if you're eyeing Shinbay for a date perhaps spare yourself the 800$ humiliation and go to the Korean BBQ next door..

I have dined at several restaurants serving omakase. I was not expecting to be blown away by a sushi restaurant in old town Scottsdale, but WOW, this is a fabulous meal. It was a perfect spot for a birthday celebration splurge. Every dish was exploding with flavor. I can't recommend enough....fantastic service and delicious food. The intimate setting may be slightly uncomfortable for some, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely dine at ShinBay again while visiting Scottsdale.

The best omaskase experience in Arizona and it’s not even close! Incredible date night location with the restaurant sitting around 6 people with 2-3 chefs it’s a wonderful and private experience. The attention to detail and the way they go out of their way for each course is top notch. They even have a staff member there that explains each dish and where it’s sourced from as well as during the wagyu portion, he goes to each couple and shows the certificate.

Such an amazing and unique experience! Shinbay is an absolute gem! The omakase experience blew me away. From the stunning ambiance to the divine dishes, every moment was a delight. The resort's full-service spa provides head-to-toe treatments while an adults-only pool adds to the serene atmosphere. The inclusive package was such a great value. We got to eat amazing organic, gluten and dairy free food, fresh smoothies and juices, baked goods, and delicious deserts. The spa was incredible and an even better view of the mountains. The staff was so friendly an accommodating. Every yoga class and workshop we took was fantastic. The rooms and resort grounds were stunning. Very clean. Will be back!

Enjoyed the scenery, activities and relaxation at this Phoenix area wellness retreat. Plan for at least 3 full days to really get the best experience. Schedule your classes and spa treatments in advance because they sale out quickly. The instructors are knowledgeable and everyone is super friendly. There's one restaurant on property and reservations are necessary even if you are doing all inclusive. Do Not DELAY.

great frontline spa, restaurant, front desk and bar staff. Be darn sure you know exactly what you are getting and confirm it when you arrive and daily! Our all-inclusive group weekend was not all-inclusive after all. Some of our group were also double charged or charged the wrong amounts, or even for classes they didn’t attend. They were also prepaid yet they were charged the room rate each night as well. Make sure you keep all of your receipts and check your bill daily - some members of our group had errors on their bills. The room, pool, spa and grounds were excellent. The food was also good but adds up. The takeaway is that everybody is nice and helpful, the communication between different staff members is not clear, and from management to staff members as well. Also, our large group did not appreciate getting charged for bread when the first round of bread that came to our dinner table did not include even 1/2 piece for each of us. We were charged extra to get enough bread for everyone. If you enjoy snacks or energy bars, etc., bring your own which will save you some money…it all adds up. There is also a nice mini fridge in your room as well as a nice bottle of oat milk and pour over coffee packets to enjoy.

Amazing 4 days at Civana. It is a little pricey, but the classes are top-notch and the grounds are beautiful. The room is probably 4 stars and this is an older property that has been renovated. I did love the food at both Terras and Seed. My favorite off-site activity was stand up paddle boarding in Tonto National Forest. Our guide from Civana, Angel, was great. My favorite on-property class was the Rebound trampoline class. Have never done that before and it was FUN (and also hard). All instructors were fantastic.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at Civana Wellness Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The food was incredible—healthy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We loved that there were so many complimentary wellness classes each day, and the paid classes were well worth it, offering deeper, more personalized experiences. The Mala class was highlight as well as the sound baths. The Revive to Thrive spa treatment and facials were next-level amazing—so nurturing and restorative. We left feeling truly present, balanced, and zen. Civana is the perfect place to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. We can’t wait to return! 🌿💆‍♀️✨

I bought the day pass as I am local. Staff is great, spa services very good and many relaxation areas not to mention stunning views due to this ideal location! Pools, aqua therapy and sauna are really nice! The place is a bit dated (it used to be Carefree Conference Center) but it still provides for a zen experience especially with such a fantastic location away from the city. Classes were full on great, this is an area where the resort truly shines (love the yoga outdoors)! What is causing my 4 star rating is the food situation. Seed is the small cafe /market on site. Unfortunately it is not an actual kitchen so everything is already prepackaged and squirreled away in a fridge only to be taken out once you order it. I wholeheartedly expected them to make my beautiful $18 kale salad fresh but in fact, it was already prepackaged in a small plastic container and very small with simply 3 ingredients Kale (eek, not even softened, so it was brittle and hard), pumpkin seeds, radishes. Hard to accept that price for maybe $2-$3 in actual ingredients. Overnight oats were $9 and was a small portion. I realize it is a resort but I expected better quality, larger portions and fresh made to order selections at the Cafe. I did not try the full service restaurant Terra, but while walking by, I did notice the portions were quite small and heard they were overpriced. My advice would be to take your own snacks and perhaps stop at Sptted Donkey (Mexican) on your way home). Staying on the topic of food, they offer water, chamomile tea and fruit, but the fruit was tasteless and the bananas overripe. I would strongly suggest they have some type of healthy crackers, snack mix or nuts in addition to the fruit. Overall, this is a lovely resort that has so much to offer if they could only improve on the food situation. You will see similar reviews, all pointing to the same area of weakness, which is around the food.

If you're looking for an all inclusive, concierge, high level quality space with a variety of food and beverage services go literally anywhere else. I had to reschedule from June to October (October was at the recommendation of the hotel) as I had a kidney transplant. At the time they said they would honor my June booking including spa services and room rate. Then when I got there they forgot my added amenity of Champagne in the room, cancelled 2 of my spa appointments without calling me and are trying to charge me $3000 more than the original booking. I've spoken to 3 people now and they offered a $100 credit on a $11k invoice saying that "we can't see any phone calls or system tickets" and implied im lying. Spend your money on Enchantments, Mii Amo or Miraval. They at least allow you to use your resort credit as you like, Civana makes you have one a day everyday allowing for outside plans to be difficult and most of their services are over the $225 daily credit per person. Honestly I've never been more disappointed in a wellness retreat. They are conning people and price gouging. They apparently don't care about their residents.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is a modern and elegant property that offers upscale dining, multiple outdoor pools, a luxurious spa, and a fitness center. Despite being relatively young compared to other nearby resorts, this North Scottsdale gem boasts beautiful Mexican colonial-style architecture set on 65 acres of scenic land. The resort is bustling with activities for all ages, making it a popular choice for family gatherings and special events like weddings.
I cannot say enough amazing things about my stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess — this resort truly deserves more than five stars! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay perfect. The property itself is breathtaking — beautifully maintained grounds, sparkling pools, and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and relaxing. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind. I especially loved waking up to the gorgeous desert views right outside my window! The dining options are another highlight. Whether you want a casual poolside bite or a fine-dining experience, every meal we had was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and the quality of the food was exceptional. The resort also offers so many activities — from the incredible spa and world-class golf to family-friendly events and seasonal celebrations. It’s the perfect getaway whether you’re looking to relax, be adventurous, or enjoy a little of both. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already planning my next visit. If you’re considering a stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, don’t hesitate — it’s worth it a million times over!

Spacious, comfortable rooms with everything you could possibly need. The bathroom was stunning—wall-to-wall marble and beautifully maintained. I loved the large patio and the thoughtfully decorated spaces throughout the property. Everything was spotless and well cared for. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and it was great to see all the shops open and lively. The spa was a highlight, especially the gorgeous rooftop pool with food and drink service. An unforgettable stay—11 out of 10!

The rooms were spacious, the balcony a nice amenity, though mine overlooked the parking lot. The bathroom was large, well appointed, and clean. The walls were thick and so the rooms were quiet. My AC was not calibrated; even when set at 75F it was actually stuck at 64F. That made for a cold night of disrupted sleep. I called it in the next morning and was told maintenance would arrive within 30 minutes. I called back after almost 90 minutes and then finally a team showed up. They did fix the problem at that point rather quickly. The grounds were quite attractive, a bit of an oasis in the desert. We got rain for the 4 days of my stay and the hotel drainage was not equipped to keep it from pooling: outside my room so that I had to walk through 2 inches of water to enter; outside the gym so that I had to walk through 3 inches of water to head back to my room; other places as well. The amount of rain was minimal for this kind of drainage problem. The gym was fine, but not comparable to the size or options of other 5 Star hotels I have stayed at in the US and abroad.

Went here for a conference. Wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The room service is prompt. The pool is wonderful. And the gym is very good for a hotel gym. Only negative is that it is rather far from PHX airport so the uber ride from the airport to the hotel at 10pm is pretty pricey, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

I was at the Fairmont for a short period and had an amazing guest experience. EVERY staff member I came across took the time to speak with me, welcome me to the hotel, welcome me to the area, ask about my stay, not a quick hello with their head down, a conversation. It was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, it made my experience so much better. I travel a lot and even at the nicest hotels and resorts, this is not always the case. The rooms and grounds were beautiful. There are several areas to take advantage of - pools, gardens, pathways. I would come back and recommend to others. Keep it up Fairmont! Amazing!

Sydney, Tara, Samantha, and Andrew were absolutely fantastic to work with. They regularly went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I during our visit. They were pleasant, courteous, professional, and personable. The service with them is the best I’ve experienced so far in my time visiting and staying at the Princess for the last several years (my kids always enjoyed the holiday events they put on). The folks working the stores were also very friendly including Julie who we saw multiple times. The customer service we experienced makes us look forward to our next visit, although I do miss the gentlemen, Jeff, who used to visit the resort with his Falcon some years ago. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are fantastic, pools in excellent shape, it’s a gem who’s customer service sets it a part from the rest of Scottsdale.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just in need of a luxurious escape, The Phoenician will wrap you in comfort, class, and a kind of care that’s hard to put into words. I can't wait to return. Consider this my official love letter to The Phoenician.

Very good but not 5 star. We arrived early at 10:30 and were able to get into our rooms upon arrival. That is always a plus, the downside was it didn’t appear the room was fully prepared for the new guest as there were half empty water bottles that greeted us on the table and a funky stain on the chaise lounge (pic included). The room was large, but felt a bit dated. A surprise for us was the bidet in the bathroom, not common in American hotels. My wife had a facial at the spa and I played the golf course on site. Both were good, just not 5 star good. Dinner was also on site at the Tavern the first night and that experience was 5 star. During our stay we had breakfast in the room and at Mowry and Cotton and those meals and service were 5 star. Accommodations at the pool were a bit strange to have cushioned lounge chairs at the family pool but not at the adult only pool. Hence, most couples even without children went to the family pool. In regards to the cushions on the lounge chairs, they were filthy and strained. I would never lay on one with out a towel. See pictures attached. The Phoenician needs to invest in new pool seating and side tables as many were damaged. Service at the pool was a 3 at best our first few days, but a 5 on our last day with John providing great service poolside. The Phoenician is a very good option for a stay in the area, just not a 5 star experience.

Stayed at the Canyon Suites, which are phenomenal. You get access to the Phoenician facilities. Overall, it’s pretty good. The pool food the first day was awesome. Ordered the same thing the next, and found an unwelcomed surprise. A piece of long metal wire in the green salsa. I put it in my mouth but thankfully spit it out quickly. The server took it back and didn’t charge, but no management acknowledgment or anything. This could have been a very serious issue, which thankfully it wasn’t for all parties. Staff needs trained for odd events like this.

We spent 4 nights here in late October 2025. The hotel is laid out on a large piece of land with plenty of space to wander. Our room was facing the cacti garden and was a quiet location. Even though we were on the fifth floor we could access the garden and walk through it to get to the lobby and other parts of the hotel. We had meetings here and utilized the meeting rooms and east and west lawns for breakfast and lunch. They had plenty of umbrellas to give shade during these meals. The food for all meals was a wide variety of options from protein, carbs and fruits.

My husband and I absolutely love this resort. So much so we are on our 5th visit for my birthday and our Anniversary. We were married at the resort 2 years ago and we love it here. The staff are top notch and so attentive and the housekeeping staff is remarkable. I only have one complaint. We have been here 4 nights and it is usually a welcome get away. However, unfortunately we were here during a large conference of over 600 attendees who had a large and very loud outdoor breakfast starting at 7am right outside our window on every single morning we have been staying here. At 8am they call all attendees in with a loud bell from breakfast, so if the noise of 600 people didn't already wake you, the bell will. For a couple who were here for a birthday/anniversary trip on a break from children this was a bit disappointing. Next time you should place all of the conference attendees in the same area of the hotel that overlooks this very loud breakfast and put the rest of us who want to sleep in past 645am on the other side of the hotel.

The valets scuffed my personal vehicle and didn’t say anything. In general we had higher expectations for a 5 star hotel. I put my family of 4 in a suite. It was ok but there were access panels throughout and it was just ran down. The elevator was out of use we had to use a service elevator that dropped us off out in front of the hotel then walk around and into the lobby. Tables at the pool were so broken they couldn’t hold drinks. Servers at pool were nice. Just off given the price point. Nicer than other hotels but not 5 stars.

Beautiful property, clean and beautiful rooms overlooking the cactus garden. The level of service was top notch. Tiffany, the concierge greeted us prior to arriving. Helped us get an early check-in, which was much appreciated. As we checked in at the service desk, Ben was great and helped us select a beautiful room. When it came to dinner, I reached out to Ben and he suggested a wonderful Mexican restaurant which was outstanding. Truly appreciated. Even the valet service personally delivered our bags to our room by the time we checked in and got into the room. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I will happily come back. 😁

Nestled in the heart of Scottsdale Old Town, The Scottsdale Plaza Resort & Villas is a sprawling oasis offering Southwestern-style rooms, five heated pools, and an array of amenities. With over 400 rooms and suites, this resort boasts well-manicured grounds adorned with desert flowers and palm trees. Guests can enjoy classic American dishes at JDs Restaurant or indulge in spa treatments such as desert stone massages.
Me and my kids love coming here. The staff is super nice. We always get the 2 bed villa. Its spacious enough for me and my 2 kids to stay and feel like we all have our own space. Its also in the middle of scottsdale so you're never really far from things.

1 complaint: The resort is under construction that limits the amenities it can provide for its guest. NOT a resort during construction so why would you charge your guest the Resort Fee? Now that im done with the only complaint, the staff were great, free parking next to pur room which is nice. The Casita was very nice and roomy, almost like having your own apartment minus the stove. With the main pool down it was nice to have a personal pool just for the Casitas. Nice hotel but not a resort at this moment.

We had a truly memorable visit at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, and what made it exceptional was the staff, especially Dwayne and Meagan. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care elevated our entire experience. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond in every way, making us feel not just welcome, but valued. The resort itself has a nostalgic charm, with a classic ambiance that feels both timeless and inviting. While the rooms are a bit dated, the property is undergoing a thoughtful revamp. The exteriors have a quaint, almost villa-like feel, and the grounds are beautifully maintained, with tranquil fountains, green courtyards, and peaceful swimming pools tucked throughout. This is the kind of place that’s defined by its people and thanks to Dwayne and Meagan, we’ll definitely be back to experience what the renovations bring.

We love this place somethings are a little outdated but they are currently in the process of updating the property we enjoy the casitas on the property they have Jacuzzi tubs which I can't get enough of and even my husband will get in one once in awhile. It is real quiet which is nice and we can bring our dog so if that sounds like an environment you would enjoy I wouldn't hesitate on booking a room for a night or weekend getaway.
Holli H — Google review
There is nothing wrong with the place. It is a great place to stay but I don’t feel like the layout of the room is well thought out especially for the price. Firstly, they just had two styrofoam cups. I would hope that for such an expensive room they’d at least provide some glasses/mugs. Next, for a hot place like Scottsdale there was no fan in the room. The heating/cooling worked well but most hot places usually provide some kind of fan as well. Finally, and this is just a personal opinion, the sink needs to be near the toilet seat, which this washroom did not have. The bathing area and toilet seat were together. Then you had to go out of that area to use the sink and there was no separation between the sink and the bedroom.
Tammy S — Google review
I want to say upfront: when I was there (10/2025), the resort was undergoing a lot of construction. As construction wraps and the restaurants and things open, it'll be even better than my visit. My wife and I came here for our anniversary, and really enjoyed it. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Others we crossed paths with were very welcoming, too. We stayed at a villa, which was two stories. It was far back from the road, so no road noise. The a/c was INSANE. We love to crank the a/c as cold as it can go when we travel, and it was almost too cold for us. The weather was perfect to order delivery and eat on the patio. Dinner out there while the sun sank below the mountains behind the resort was awesome. The bed was comfortable, and being able to sleep in for once was great, lol. Though I mentioned construction, there was no loud construction noise. It only affected us because there was no food at the resort. Thankfully, the location of the resort is almost perfectly centralized to three great active areas. About 3 miles north of Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and Old Town Scottsdale, about the same distance south of Kierland Commons, and West of the Scottsdale Pavilions, Talking Stick Casino, and Salt River Fields. I think we found a great place to come back to when we are looking for a stay-cation... maybe with the kids next time... maybe.

We had stayed at this place before. It was nice and quiet and we enjoyed the service, pool and jacuzzi. This time it seemed like there was no service, we stayed 3 nights had to call different times for cleaning, more coffee pods, and because the AC shut down. The room was tidied up once , and as we were leaving the cooler shut down for an hour, then we turned it on and it worked fine again. Not sure what happened
Angela J — Google review
This place clearly used to be nice but has gone downhill. Called ahead to secure a king room. Was told it shouldn’t be a problem. I showed up and they weren’t able to accommodate. Hotel is a mess with construction everywhere. Room is way below 4 star standards. Showed up and there are emptybeer cans on our rooms doorstep.

Hotel Valley Ho is a luxurious hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, known for its mid-century modern rooms and suites. The hotel has a rich history dating back to 1956 when it quickly became popular among celebrities like Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood. Despite facing a decline, the hotel has been restored to its former glory. The design features funky geometric accents and low-slung furnishings that capture the essence of mid-century modern style.
Amazing place to stay. They love pets. They actually work cat friendly and that's very rare to see in hotels my fiance and I travel a lot we stay in a lot of hotels and that is very rare, but we very much appreciated. The place was very nice clean. They had very good activities going on outside. Great pool area. Everything was beautiful. Thanks guys. Oh and the night's sleep so restful. We had the best nights sleep there and I slept in because the bed was so comfortable. Huge bathroom too. Sorry it was great

My stay at Hotel Valley Ho was absolutely outstanding. I brought my fur baby along, and the staff treated both of us like family from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was exceptional—honestly, even living in California with an abundance of great dining options, the menu, food quality, and service here were beyond impressive. The hotel’s atmosphere perfectly blends Palm Springs charm with Mid-Century Modern elegance. It was also wonderful to find such a pet-friendly hotel that’s impeccably clean and well-managed—you’d never know other animals were on site. Every detail, from the ambiance to the kindness of the staff, made our stay unforgettable.

This is my go to hotel for 3 years when visiting my daughter. Today in booking for an upcoming visit I experienced an incredible price increase. More than double my last visit in July. I was told " it is seasonal and this is prime season". No loyalty perks. The manager was beyond rude. I have booked in the Fall in the past and paid between 200 and 300$. Today my request was nearly 500 per night. Rooms were available so that is not the issue. A nice hotel with comfortable rooms. Excellent staff but certainly not a 500 to 600$ a night good.

Based upon the marketing, price, and reviews, we had higher expectations than what we received. Most of the staff were absolutely great. Unfortunately, it was never the direct people who served us. This was particularly true at ZuZu. Our dinner was very average. Our waitress lacked personality. Appetizers arrived at the same time as our dinner. We continually needed to ask for more water and drinks. There was an automatic 20% gratuity on a table of 6. We wouldn't have not left a tip, but we found it odd on a smaller table. It wasn't noted other than the third receipt down. The room was just ok. Our air conditioner never kept up. It was loud an ran the entire night. It was a really warm night in the room and cooler outside. The balcony connects to all rooms, so it wasn't really an option to open the blinds or the door for airflow. In the morning, there was one pot of coffee for the entire hotel. When it was empty, the guy in front of me was informed that they only do one pot and that it wouldn't be refilled. He was told to order something at the bar. So gone before 6:30am. With all the options out there, at their prices, I recommend staying and eating somewhere else.

The service was great. The hotel room was large, modern and clean. They gave us a free upgrade which we loved. The amenities were nice but the ohasis pool could go to be maintained a bit more. Drinks at the pool bar were a bit overpriced which is to be expected at a hotel but when you consider the cost of staying at the hotel, parking, etc – they could bring prices down there a bit.
Kel P — Google review
Such a lovely stay. Really nice to relax by the pool and read and it is super quiet during the week. There were maybe only 5 to 10 people max at the pool the entire time I was there. The rooms are updated and they upgraded me to a cabana king suite with a huge patio. The bathtub was big enough to soak in all the way up to my neck and I was trying to keep my head from going under since I’m only 5 foot nice clean room and shower. Cozy mid-century modern feel. Love staying here for my mom-cation! ✨

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Old Town Scottsdale, The Scott Resort & Spa is a chic boutique hotel that beautifully marries luxury with a cozy ambiance. Inspired by mid-century modern and classic Havana aesthetics, this resort features contemporary rooms and suites adorned with stylish touches. Guests can unwind at two stunning tropical pools or relax on the sandy beach area, complete with airy day beds for lounging under the sun.
My wife and I just stayed at The Scott for my high school reunion. The staff is very professional, courteous, and helpful. The food both at our catered events and in the restaurant was excellent. They also had a nice grab-and-go selection on Friday and Saturday for breakfast and lunch. Our room was well appointed and maintained. I was impressed that they were doing room upkeep with repairs and painting to keep the facility looking good. There was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for our 200 plus people to gather, reminisce and catch up. The location is perfect for access to stores and restaurants. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Had an incredible time! Love how they embraced an old place and made it work! Rooms are spacious, service is great, and had a great tine.. .BUT it's OK to keep the "creepy" pictures of people at their check in area, but need to take the ones hanging above the toilets out! We had multiple rooms and took them off the walls until we were getting ready to check out! They should consider a getting a cute boutique there. Had a great time there!

The Scott Resort in Scottsdale is such a gem! It has a totally retro vibe blended with modern luxury, giving it the feel of a boutique resort that’s both stylish and welcoming. I love the size — not too big and overwhelming, but not too small either. It’s just the right scale to feel intimate while still offering great amenities. The location near Old Town Scottsdale is perfect, and everything on the property is super easy to access. The restaurant, pool, and pool bar are all convenient, and the atmosphere around the pool has so much character — relaxed, fun, and full of energy. Overall, this resort has a unique and memorable vibe that makes it stand out. I stayed here for business and enjoyed it so much that I’ll definitely be coming back for a second visit, this time for vacation. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re visiting Scottsdale!

My husband and I had a great time at the Scott Resort. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool wasn't too busy and had plenty of seating. Pool bar was nice but drinks are about $20. There were lots of other areas on the property to relax outside as well including fire pits that they light at night. Our room was spacious. We had a king room with a couch area. The bed was comfortable. We did end up getting a room with a street view instead of a pool view due to a system error between my credit card that I booked through and they worked with me to refund the difference or move rooms. Street view was loud when on the patio so would definitely recommend paying the extra for the other view options. We used the complimentary shuttle service a few times which was fast and easy to use. I used the spa as well for a message and it was very relaxing and the masseuse did great.

This was very nice place to stay. I did enjoy the appearance and atmosphere of the lobby and outdoor areas. The young lady at the front desk was very kind, courteous and helpful. She ensured we would be able to locate our room and offered to answer any questions we had prior to leaving the desk. The room was nice and comfortable. The pools were very nice, and I especially liked the sand bottom at the pool entry. The food that was provided was good. My only complaints would be not having a microwave in the room and that the fridge was pretty full of items, so there was not much room for storing anything I brought in from outside. I did not use any of the provided in-room food or drinks with the exception of the espresso machine and pods. The gym was clean, orderly and sufficient. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

During our recent stay, we had the pleasure of interacting with Jon, who worked both at the front drop-off area and as the shuttle driver. From the moment we arrived, Jon was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local area. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat and must-see attractions around Scottsdale. Beyond just providing helpful tips, Jon was a delight to chat with, making our ride to and from various spots in the city enjoyable and informative. He even helped us with our luggage, going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. If you're staying here, I highly recommend requesting Jon. His dedication to making sure guests have a fantastic experience truly sets him apart. Thanks, Jon, for making our trip even more memorable!

Horrible experience. Nice looking hotel, but they put us in a room adjacent to a major wedding with the reception happening in front of our room on the grass without letting us know. House music pounded until 10:30pm and there was a party going on in the room next to us and the hotel staff did nothing to quiet them either. Not what my wife and I expected booking this with no communication about what was happening on property. The room design was nice, but the bathroom shower had a sewer smell emitting from the drain that filled the whole bathroom and smelled horrible. Very dissapointed with the experience at this place, and bummed because it presented well online with nice architecture and design. Better experience at a courtyard marriot for half the price. This place is on the "ditch" list.

Amazing experience. Wonderful spot if you're looking to be close to Scottsdale and have a more quaint hotel experience vs. large resort style. Couldn't have been better for a girlfriend trip of mom's with young kiddos needing a quiet, relaxing getaway. Would also be a great couples spot.

The Embassy Suites is a 4-story all suite resort that offers plenty of amenities such as outdoor pools, tennis courts, and gym. There are also complimentary breakfast and evening goodies to round out the great deal.
I’ve been visiting this wonderful place since I was just 9 years old with my family, and it never fails to impress. Both pools are consistently clean and provide a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The breakfast takes me back to my childhood—nothing but nostalgia! The omelet bar is just like I remember it, and everything is kept spotless. It's the perfect way to start the day. Happy hour is another highlight, featuring a delightful spread of crackers and cheese, along with free drinks that make for a fantastic evening unwind. The rooms are spacious and more than accommodating, ensuring that every visit feels like a home away from home. Overall, this place is a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough! Wow. My stay here was incredible. The staff were accommodating and very kind. I cannot stress the genuine kindness and quick service the hotel staff give. The breakfast is excellent. The room is very nice as well. Very large property with multiple pools and a hot tub. I’m slightly disappointed that I had to go home.

What can I say? The folks here are amazing! The gentleman by the name of David at check-in is a super swell person. He welcomed us and made us feel like we were regulars even though it was our first time there. Our whole experience was top notch for sure. Spacious and comfortable rooms which was very homely. Very tasty hamburgers and chicken sandwiches which we ordered through room service for dinner. If you’re an omelette fan, you’ll walk out of this property skipping happily after breakfast. Looking forward to our next visit!

Good place to stay. Hotel staff was great and warm from the front desk to cleaning, restaurant and pool area. There was plentiful self parking. It was very well maintained and the areas that were getting renovated were clearly marked. Breakfast spread was varied and the omelette station was a perk. Really enjoyed my time here and would come back when visiting the area.

Overall im usually always happy with embassy suites. I always call ahead of time to also ask some specific questions. Some important things for me is knowing if the pool is open or down for any reason, if there is any construction in or around the facility, if everything is working, and some other financial questions. With that, i called ahead to ask these questions and was told everything was working, open and no construction. When i arrived the elevator closest to my room was not working, and we had a bunch of luggage with us from traveling. Thankfully it was only one level up. Other than this issue everything else was good. The included breakfast is always nice.

Very run down, old, rooms that is subpart to other Hilton hotels. Not consistently a 2 star hotel. My room's ac is very loud, the fan speed adjustment is not working. Bathroom door is sagging so it rubs badly to the casing. Inside the bathroom, a painting was missing, so one sharp nail head waa exposed. I removed the nail so we will be safe. Food at the evening reception was very poor, pretty much cheese and crackers, no hot food. Definitely not up to Hilton standards. Comfort inn would be better.

The motel is older. My room was a suite but the air fan smelled musty I kept it off. The toilet kept filling up and was loud enough to keep waking me up. The restaraunt food had limited options but was really good and was conveniently located with good service.

Overall a good stay at this hotel. The breakfast staff were excellent and the food was good quality. Petty good location and the pools were nice. The one further from the front seemed to be heated or warmer than the other pool. Tennis court is in need of a resurfacing, but was still a plus to have.

Highly recommend this Hotel/Resort. A 7 day stay was $1200. Not bad at all. The valet guys take you to your little piece of paradise in a golf cart. It's amazing waking up to the wildlife every morning and the cactus and amazing views. The guys working there are always checking on people in the heat, handing out lots of free water. Came here on a company retreat. We stayed 2 days and never wanted to leave! This place is so beautiful. We saw small wildlife on the property which only adds to the charm of this resort. The people here were very nice and accommodating. Our company had an evening taco dinner at one of their outside venues. The staff was wonderful and the food was amazing! Earlier we played pickleball on one of their many courts while some of our other co-workers played golf on their world-class courses. We had a wonderful time and experience here!

We had a wonderful stay at this resort! The property is stunning and the surrounding scenery is absolutely breathtaking. We especially enjoyed the spa and pool — both were highlights of our trip. Admittedly, we were a bit hesitant at first due to some of the negative reviews, but our experience was entirely positive. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job with daily cleanings, and amenities like the in-room coffee machine and daily water restocking were appreciated. The shuttle service was excellent — fast and easy to request via SMS, which made getting around the resort incredibly convenient. There are also ice machines conveniently located throughout the property, which was a nice touch during the July heat. One was out of order during our stay, but it was fixed promptly after we reported it. We had no issues with drink or food service at the pool. In fact, we were able to order both at the main pool area until 5 p.m., and found the prices to be very reasonable, especially for a five-star resort. We also booked a couple’s massage, which was fantastic and well worth it. Overall, the staff was friendly, attentive, and made our stay feel truly special. As for constructive feedback: • A few outdoor lights weren’t working, which slightly affected the ambiance at night. • There were minor water outages during the day, though they didn’t impact us much as we were already heading out. • The men’s showers in the spa didn’t have hot water — resolving that would improve the spa experience even more. We had a great time and would absolutely return. Our experience did not reflect the negative reviews at all — quite the opposite!

Usually I'm not a frequent reviewer....good or bad. But, this is one that needs to be shared. We stayed for 6 nights at The Boulders. There are so many things about this resort that are truly remarkable - obviously the majestic views of the grounds. The actual "boulders" sprawled amongst the views in the desert with the cacti, the lush golf course and all the wildlife make this truly an experience. (We even hired a professional photographer for family photos to capture this experience.) We enjoyed the golf carts that would escort you around property, such a nice touch. We noticed a few things within both the property and our room, but initially would have overlooked them because we felt they were minor since the property majesty made up for so much. Regarding the property - the main pool did not honestly look or even feel clean, needed a good scrubbing. The restroom facilities at the main pool were also filthy: mounds of paper towels, wet toilet paper everywhere. Regarding our room: the shower leaked a lake onto the floor whenever anyone used it...took 3 towels to mop it up. The tile/stone floor never felt clean - our feet were filthy and I refused to get into the bed without socks. I noticed dirt, grit, dust everywhere on the floor. The room needed a deep cleaning, beyond changing sheets and towels. But again - we were willing to overlook it. But the FINAL STRAW: on our last night we noticed 3 separate, yet obvious spots in our room: some form of rodent droppings that were not there before (100% sure about this!) Upon closer inspection around the room, there were more droppings found...near the mini-fridge, under the desk, under the nightstand. 🤢 Suddenly, we then understood what the out of place "grey rocks" were scattered in the trees outside our balcony - these appeared to be rodent bait traps (Amazon/Walmart). We decided to deal with it, and tell the front desk in the morning because we were checking out and were exhausted as it was almost 10pm at this point. The reason I'm posting this review is the response I received from the front desk. I showed the photos and explained what we found. I guess you could call what I heard was an apology - and was then offered either $100 off our bill or points. I gathered they wanted to shut me up and get me out, noted. But, to me - this is FOUL and goes beyond "wildlife." Our belief is they knew there was a rodent problem due to the "traps" but guests should not be put in rooms with rodent issues. Dare I say - germs, diseases, fifth? What if your guest has a weakened immune system and becomes ill from the piles of rodent droppings? Unacceptable. PERIODT.

The second time we stayed at the Boulders! A stunning resort hotel with high quality services. The villas feel like home with fully operational kitchen and bathroom! The Woodbury shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion definitely made my bath time relaxing with kids :) It smells so so good! WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK!

Nestled in 23 acres of lush grounds, Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows offers a refined and artsy retreat. The resort features bright rooms and suites, as well as homey bungalows with private entrances and open-air patios. It's a paradise for pets, offering expansive green space and pet-friendly amenities. Guests can indulge in opulent dining experiences such as the Black Stallion Wine Dinner at the signature dining destination, Weft & Warp Art Bar + Kitchen.
My wife and I stayed at Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The resort itself is stunning – the rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and felt private and relaxing. The food was outstanding at every meal, with so much attention to detail and flavor. The pools were perfect, offering the ideal mix of relaxation and luxury, and we loved spending time there soaking up the Arizona sunshine. The entire experience was unforgettable, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our honeymoon and can’t wait to come back! Thanks again!

I rarely post reviews, but this experience truly warranted one. I booked Andaz Scottsdale to celebrate my first wedding anniversary and made that clear when reserving. I was told the concierge would contact me within 24–48 hours to arrange spa services, but three days passed with no call. When I followed up, I was told to book the Palo Verde Spa myself—information that could’ve been shared from the start. The spa made no effort to accommodate a couples massage, even after I explained it was our anniversary and offered to pay more if needed. By the time I was finally transferred—the day before our stay—everything was fully booked. I wanted this to be a special, seamless experience for my husband, but instead we had to book spa treatments at a different resort and rush through our evening just to make dinner reservations. Staff showed little empathy, and the only “gesture” offered was champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries BUT at my expense, adding another $200. After our stay, I called about an item I left in our bungalow, left a voicemail with housekeeping (Sophia), and still haven’t received a callback days later. Don’t get me wrong—the hotel is beautiful. But as the saying goes, if you’re ugly on the inside, you’re ugly on the outside too. For a nearly $1,000 one-night bungalow stay, I expected far better communication, empathy, and follow-through. I chose Andaz after researching LGBTQ+-friendly resorts with great reviews, but this experience fell flat. Andaz Scottsdale could be exceptional—but it desperately needs a reset in customer service and genuine hospitality.

This is a great spot! We loved our stay here: great room with a lot of privacy. Quiet and calm, so easy to just chill. Staff very friendly, professional and serviceminded. We had dinner in the restaurant (Weft & Warp) which was great (pasta and fish) where they also serve breakfast (was also great). I hope I get a chance to return to this great hotel. I recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary getaway here. Welcome Cocktail and cookies are always a perk. Bungalow was spacious. Every staff member we met was pleasant and eager to help. Pool was too cold for us but hot tub was welcoming. Close to plenty of eats and a short drive to hikes or whatever interests you. Only 20 minutes from phoenix airport!

We stayed at the Andaz Scottsdale Resort for a couple’s getaway and had a lovely experience overall. The property is serene, calm, and beautifully maintained — perfect for a relaxing escape. The walkways are peaceful and tree-filled, with lots of fruit trees adding to the charm. The bungalow-style rooms were comfortable and well-designed, though our in-room phone wasn’t working, which was a small inconvenience. The on-site restaurant has a limited menu, but the food was fresh and flavorful. The pancakes, in particular, were some of the best we’ve ever had! The overall vibe of the resort is tranquil and rejuvenating — ideal for couples looking to unwind in a natural, elegant setting. Would definitely recommend for a quiet and refreshing getaway in Scottsdale.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights for our anniversary, it far exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was wonderful, particularly the entire staff at the spa. They were extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. The restaurant on the property was fantastic as well. If you’re looking to get away from life’s busy schedule, I highly recommend coming to Andaz to decompress and recharge.

Elan, at the Pool was outstanding, every time we have been to Andaz her and Don have made our stay a pleasure. Somehow they remember our last name and even what we like. We only come because we love the way we are treated there. And the way our rooms are kept up after we have been there by the cleaning ladies. The only thing get them waffles back 🙂Thank you Andaz see you soon.

From the moment we arrived, the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Everyone was incredibly helpful and genuinely kind, creating such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The food? Absolutely amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. And the drinks — crafted with care and flavor. I’m not usually an Old Fashioned kind of girl, but it became my drink of choice all weekend. It was that good! The hotel itself is peaceful and quiet, with the added bonus of a 24-hour pool — a rare and wonderful perk. My husband and I will definitely be back again and again. Andaz, you’ve gained a customer for life. A huge thank you to the entire staff especially Joel, Anastasia, restaurant staff- Katelynn, Brandon and Samantha, and even the maintenance staff for their professionalism, constant smiles, and clear joy in serving guests. You all made our stay truly memorable.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Scottsdale North/Perimeter Center several months ago, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with one of the best beds we’ve slept in while traveling. We enjoyed relaxing by the beautiful, well-kept pool and appreciated the convenience of the on-site restaurant and bar. Every detail, from the check-in process to the amenities, was smooth and stress-free. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved staying in this hotel, even if just a short trip. It was very nice, clean, and the location was great. Sunrise from our window was amazing!! A big thank you to Tim Brophy for making my first time in Arizona absolutely awesome. He was so helpful in guiding us to locations that were exactly what we hoped for and completely unforgettable. Will definitely be back! 🙂🏜️🧡

Every time I stay at this Hilton property, I have a great experience. The staff is always friendly, professional, and provides excellent customer service. The rooms are clean and well kept. On this trip 9-19-2025, My husband had a shirt and pants that was wrinkled, and unfortunately, we missed the dry cleaning service for the day. When I mentioned it, the manager Tim personally apologized and said I could bring it to the front desk and someone would iron it for me. To my surprise, when I picked it up, I found out Tim himself had taken the time to iron my clothes. That kind of service goes above and beyond, and it truly shows the dedication of the staff at this property.

It is not often a nicer establishment has to change batteries for a smoke alarm in a room; however, mine did today and Dan at the front desk went above and beyond to fix the issue twice after complications. Even grabbing a ladder! So cool. Wonderful employee and the dedication to help me any way he could will definitely lead me to stay at a Hilton again!
Travis Z — Google review
The hotel and location is nice and the front desk people are nice but it was a while before we got our room cleaned. The walls are also very thin so we heard the person next room talking on the phone with his girlfriend.
Eduardo C — Google review
We had a double. Room was not huge. It was interesting that we did not have a smart tv and limited channels. No easy way to stream movies. Service was wonderful. The front desk knew the area and were helpful. It was located close enough to restaurants and shopping without being surrounded by them.

Enjoyable 2 night stay. Food was fantastic in the little restaurant. Deb our server went out of her way to make it a perfect evening for us. I downgraded the location because of all the sand from the freeway construction.

Very nice hotel, definitely focused on the corporate traveler. Warm and welcoming staff very clean and well run property I do prefer Hampton Inns (same company) but breakfast is included and they have a better coffee bar. On the other hand, the Garden Inn properties have a real bar 🍹

I had an amazing experience at Olga Brow Studio! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The studio is immaculate and beautifully decorated, which made me feel relaxed and pampered right away. I have seen each team member for my brows and they all are a true artists and experts in what they do. They all listened carefully to what I wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and delivered results that exceeded my expectations. My brows have never looked better perfectly shaped, natural-looking, and totally flattering to my face. The entire team is just as impressive friendly, skilled, and dedicated to making every client feel comfortable and confident. You can tell they take real pride in their work and care deeply about the clients they help. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jeni and her facial treatments at Olga Brow Studio! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jeni is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and attentive. She took the time to assess my skin’s needs and customized the facial specifically for me. Her touch is both relaxing and precise—you can really tell she knows exactly what she’s doing. Not only did my skin feel hydrated, glowing, and refreshed after the treatment, but I also learned so much about how to better care for my skin at home. Jeni is the perfect combination of professional and personable. She creates a calming environment where you can truly unwind and trust that your skin is in expert hands.

Lately, I’ve been really struggling with my acne and the redness it causes. I’ve dealt with acne for most of my adult life, and because of that, I have a hard time trusting people with my skin. Jeni completely changed that for me. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she takes the time to educate you throughout the process. We did the cold plunge facial, and when I tell you—everyone was complimenting how calm and clear my skin looked immediately after. Now it’s the next day, and my makeup is laying better than it ever has. My skin feels balanced, my confidence is up, and I’m glowing—literally. Thank you for your healing hands, Jeni. You gave me my glow back ✨

I’ve been coming to Olga Brows studio for about a year now. Their studio is so clean, so welcoming, and their employees are extremely knowledgeable and the best at what they do. Olga has been doing my brows - I have extremely thick eyebrows and I like to keep them that way with a little shape. I don’t trust just anyone doing my eyebrows either. She’s the best in the business and makes me look amazing each time I go.

They even do facials (everybody LOVES Jeni) & lash lifts (Judith is your girl for those!). The Orange Tree Golf Resort, located on the grounds of a former orange grove, is known for its commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. The resort has implemented various initiatives to reduce water usage, minimize non-recyclable waste, and establish a comprehensive recycling program. In addition to its environmental efforts, the resort boasts an impressive 18-hole championship golf course set amidst picturesque surroundings.
What a wonderful place to stay. Our room was superb! Very modern and colorful. Plenty of seating and areas to lounge and relax. Yes parking can be an issue. However at the main desk they provide you with a golf cart ride to your room depending which building you are located. They have a hot tub and heated pool, gym and cornhole boards. Wide open spaces and a friendly atmosphere. Management is quick to help you with any needs should they arise. We had a wonderful stay and the staff was top notch. I highly recommend staying here even if you don’t golf that’s ok!
Joshua K — Google review
Recently my friends and I played a round at Orange tree, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing golfing experiences I've ever had. First off, the course conditions were far from acceptable. The greens were bumpy and poorly maintained, making putting a frustrating challenge. The sprinklers were turned on at 9 as we were trying to drive, creating a delay. Then at hole 10, as we were on the tee box , the sprinklers were turned on again. Additionally, the staff was not very welcoming, especially the marshal on shift. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than valued customers. He micromanaged us on hole 9 as we waited for the sprinklers to be turned off, then had the audacity at 10 to tell us we’re a little behind and need to pick up and move up a hole. No one was behind us at this point and the foursome that was in front of us, stopped to get lunch. To top it all off, after we jumped a hole (marshal’s direction), the pace of play was painfully slow. We were stuck behind a group that seemed to have no idea how to keep things moving, and conveniently, there was no staff around to help manage the situation when it was actually needed. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had high hopes for a fun day on the course, but it fell short in every way. I won’t be returning, and I can't recommend this course to anyone looking for a good golfing experience. Save your money and play elsewhere!
Amanda W — Google review
Great room with golf course view. Plenty of amenities...room has some age though. Pool areas is stellar but quite the walk. Room & outside areas are extremely clean. Staff is very accommodating & helpful. Many rooms are very far from parking, clubhouse & pool. Will return though.
RJ O — Google review
GOLFERS BEWARE!!!!!! Avoid this course. 5 hour round today, on the worst greens I have ever played on. The 5 hour round was due to a drunken golf outing. That I can deal with. However, the greens are literally dirt! Orange Tree, you should be ashamed to charge $100 a round and not tell people about the greens. I read the other reviews and your feedback, and still you don’t tell customers about your pathetic greens, they are dirt!
Marc S — Google review
$108 to play this POS course. Absolute joke. Super friendly staff and nice facilities but it's beyond unfair to charge $108 for a course in this condition. I don't write reviews often but this was just to egregious not to say something for this price.
Al L — Google review
I was a bit skeptical based on reviews from months ago, however, decided to give it a try as the course is fairly close to my home. Wow. I was in for a treat. Decent fairways and greens were nice. Weather was perfect and finished 18 holes in 2 hours 30 minutes. The reviews were quite positive the last few weeks. Kudos to Orange Tree for maintaining a golf course during the summer months in AZ.
Eric L — Google review
Course was in pretty bad shape. Many of the greens looked like the photo here. Definitely not worth the $115 per person spent to play here

Had a great weekend. Location in/next to Fountain Hills is beautiful. Grounds are awesome with great views everywhere. James was super helpful before and at check-in. Valet team is great. Nancy and Ki-Ki at the bar were great. Nancy's Manhattan:) delicious. The pools and hot tub really made it a relaxing stay. Jackson took great care of us by the pool all weekend. Thx Jackson! And if working out while here is your thing, the gym is top notch. The suite.. beautiful, relaxing, and again awesome east views. At night, the in room telescope really was nice and added to a great list of things to do. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the great team!

The hotel was clean and nice. A little further from the airport than I anticipated but still would go back. Good food and some of the employees were super helpful. The hotel bar was in chaos and could use some organization. Other than that, a solid choice.

Adero Scottsdale Resort was awesome! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and very professional. Outstanding service across the board. The food was outstanding. Our room was a little dated but we learned that renovations are in process. The most amazing experience was the Sonoran Therapeutic Massage with Magnesium Foot Treatment provided by Jake. He combined massage techniques with Myofascial release that was the best massage I've had in 30 years! It was a great way to end our vacation of desert hiking and fine dining. He is hard to get in with but I seriously recommend trying to have a session with him.

It's wonderful how this resort offers a peaceful escape, far from the hustle of the city. This balance allows guests to unwind and rejuvenate while remaining accessible to modern conveniences. The tranquility and quietness provided are truly valuable for relaxation and reflection. Such an environment makes it easy to disconnect from the daily grind. Overall, it's an ideal location to recharge and enjoy some well-deserved peace.

Stayed 10/29/2025 Absolutely nothing about this property is 4-star. From the property itself, to the boxed to go order poolside service, to the wildly not 4-star staff, our stay was quite underwhelming. Our upgraded room outside of the tower felt more like an old converted studio apartment. More or less an empty large room with a queen bed and small desk. The in room dining in the app not only did not work, but the menus were apparently out of date - as the dining staff was kind enough to remind us with disbelieving scoffs and judgmental confusion when we ordered from the menus that they directed us to with the QR codes. They repeatedly referred us to these, and the non existent menus that should have been in our room but were not. The ordering system and mobile key in app did not work either. The list truly goes on - the front desk told us tennis was first come first serve (it was not, which we found out when we tried to play), and our in room dining tray was left uncleared outside for 2 days. We found the restaurant to be an overly priced hit and miss during our stay, maybe if the salads or breakfasts weren’t $40 as well as below average we wouldn’t complain, but they were. The only saving grace was an above average massage and facial, but still lacking in amenities. The property is situated in a great setting, but I would recommend lowering your expectations or looking elsewhere.

Great first time experience at the Marriott Adero. Great touch having a telescope on the room. Adult pool was beautiful. Had the bread pudding per the bartender’s suggestion and it was amazing. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something quieter and more upscale.
John W — Google review
Booked months in advance for an onsite wedding. Mentioned the wedding name for the blocked room rate. Arrived for the wedding weekend and were nowhere near the other wedding guests but literally in a back hallway with only two rooms on the first floor by utility exits. Clearly a storage room with oily stains on the floor that they attempting to cover with an area rug. No chair in the room. No bench at the end of the bed. The broken floor light had the wire wrapped around the base like it was just left there. Guest services? Nonexistent. No option for another room given. Told that this was the room we booked. Basically, “Be glad you even have a room” attitude. Disgusted. Truly disappointed and disgusted. Will post photos as evidence.
Carrie D — Google review
Super nice hotel with amazing views, the pool was great, and walking around the area is so quiet and peaceful. The location is great for a nice quiet stay, I only gave it 3 stars because It’s not a walkable location for someone like me. Overall if you want to relax and stay at the hotel this is the place for you. If you don’t feel like driving, Uber will cost maybe $30 to city center overall not bad. I will visit Adero again.
