The building is an old drum and there is a concert venue inside, during the weekends the street was packed with concert goers until 2am, and because of the beautiful art around the hotel room doors, there are a lot of people just touring the hotel floor at night. There is a sign that says quiet hours after 10pm but it's an honor system. It's my last night here and someone was pressure washing the sidewalk at 1am. If you have babies or are a light sleeper, something to be aware of. 2. Rooms are a bit spartan. No fridge and no coffee machine in the rooms, two things I didn't know I appreciated until I didn't have them. I get up early (5am) and would have to wait for two hours for the coffee to be ready in the lobby. I liked the social aspect of getting out of the room for coffee, but I would have appreciated the option to have it when I get up. But if you're not, it might be a bit jarring. 4. No regular housekeeping. It makes sense, this is less of a hotel and more of a sick venue that you can sleep at. Also, I don't think most people are here this long. But there wasn't a regular housekeeping situation like your bigger hotels. So if you need clean towels or more toilet paper, you have to ask the front desk. Overall, I had a great time here. All the restaurants had different menus and were above average. The cocktails were a bit expensive but well made, and the staff was super helpful. The whole hotel had a very community feel to it. You didn't really have space to dance without getting knocked around by people. That was annoying so we just moved to the way back. Broadway street which is out the front door of the building has a lot of antique shops if you are in to that sort of thing. We were able to find the secret bar which was fun to explore and find. Unfortunately, the place was kept cold like a meat locker so we didn't stay to have a drink. We can't wait to come back! Note, parking is atrocious! Lol. If you are really lucky, you can grab a spot right across the street at the print shop. They are closed on weekends and you can park for free. But there aren't many spots. The only better spot is directly in front of the hotel. They look metered but the front desk say they haven't been checked since COVID. Every else is metered parking and possibly not safe for long term parking due to some interesting characters hanging around. The other option is to park at the Tacoma dome train station and take the Link to the hotel or Uber over.

Due to the constant construction the hotel was filthy and every room was being used for storage so no pool, no gym, no hot tub. Which was not mentioned at all on any of the confirmation or listings. We were so grossed out we checked out early in left. I can honestly say I’ve never had a worse hotel experience in my life. The only helpful person I talked to on the staff was April the manager and we didn’t even get to talk to her until days after the fact. The function hall/event place is nice overlooking the view of the water. Hence the reason why we have chosen this place for the event. However, there was a huge lack of communication and professionalism at the front desk, in a way that staffs appeared to be unaware of our prior conversations, were unhelpful and did not deescalate when we brought up issues; we were given attitude from the lady at the front desk instead. We felt dismissed. Food service during the event, the servers does not seem to have proper plans how to serve appetizers; they serve the same table and disregard the others. We understand that there may be short staff issue going on as we only saw 2 servers, but the team should have planned ahead as to how the serving goes especially on events like this. Also, there wasn't enough to serve for everyone that attended (even with Guest accounted for via RSVP- before the event). Room was inclusive to the event package, but after the event there was no room available for the family and that caused unnecessary stress and disappointment at the end of what should have been an unforgettable event. Open bar service was great and on point though, we give them that. But I think overall, the big lack of communication and lack of solid plan among the staffs and organizer needs to be taken cared of here that way future event reservations won't experience the same we had.

The staff was friendly. The hotel itself appeared very clean. It's very expensive, we paid $700 for the night but it was a Saturday so I wasn't overly surprised. We loved the swimming pool on the roof, although it was small, it was nice and warm. Parking sucked, they have Valet which I absolutely hate so we parked in the nearby overcrowded public parking garage. It was $50 for a single day.

We left Seattle right on time to get to the hotel by check in time at 4 pm. Immediately we decided to have our car parked by valet and that was so worth it due to the street parking being limited. The gentlemen at the valet were so courteous and grabbed us a cart for our bags of luggage. We then went inside and wow is it so beautiful and clean! (Eating at the restaurant inside is also a must!) We were assisted by Bird who was sweet as can be! Gave us two keys like we asked and then We proceeded to the room. I LOVED the security of using your hotel key to get to your floor. That made us feel so safe. The inside of our room was so cute and CLEAN! Had a sink, fridge and huuuge bathroom. When booking we opted for village view cause it was cheaper. But this hotel is right by the water and so included are photos of our view from the room, the trail we walked to the concert (very well lit btw) and an amazing view of mount rainier from the back of the hotel. I’m definitely coming back to this area and staying at silver cloud because of not only the lovely staff and accommodations but also everything you need is so close it’s walking distance away! So well worth the cost!
