今回はランチだけをいただきに伺いました。 海のそばでロケーションも良く、さすがにラグジュアリーなホテルだけありとても立派な建物や内装でした。 レストランもヨーロッパ調でとても風格があります。 お料理は美味しいですが、味は濃い目です。 ただ、食事のサービスはランチということもあって、かなりカジュアルなものでした。素敵なレストランなのにちょっと残念でした。 時間のない方には、ランチだけでもこの雰囲気を味わつて見るのもいいと思います。

Food in the M Lounge and the restaurant in the lobby was decent, basically what I was expect from a Marriott. The location is just steps away from the busy parts of downtown Victoria, but you're about a block away from where the noise begins. Was very quiet in our area, but a quick walk and you're in the middle of it all. The underground secured parking lot was full, but because we paid for parking, they gave us valet parking for no additional charge. I felt that was a fair compromise, and their valets were super kind and always on the go. We'll definitely be coming back again.

It is right across the street from the ocean with a beautiful walk, Beacon Hill Park, and only a few blocks to Cook Street Village, loaded with shops, restaurants, coffee houses and more. The house looked quaint from the photos and the reviews were good. Our stay was for five nights which is longer than most stays based on reviews that we have read. We stayed in the Park Lane Room, which as per the site info, stated that the room was newly decorated. Unfortunately, not the case. To be clear, this is a standard Queen room not a suite. The room needs a renovation for many reasons. The bathroom has rusty fixtures, chips in the sink, a vanity with old shutters as cupboard doors and a hole in the vanity with lattice work covering the pipes. The mold on the tub, the leaking faucet in the tub, the running toilet, all contribute to the need for reno. The whole bathroom is old and tired. They did switch these out and gave us four newer ones when they changed the sheets. If you don't ask, there is no service for longer stays. The room was not prepared for a five night stay as there were no extra towels or shampoo/body wash. We did ask to move to another room and would upgrade, unfortunately they were fully booked. Pictures on their website are not current which does not reflect the look of the room we stayed in. The gardens need refresh as does the entrance to the house. We understand the age of the home and have stayed at similar B&B's, yet this absolutely did not meet the quality that we have seen before at other inns/manors. More concerning as a solo traveler is that the place is devoid of any atmosphere whatsoever. The main dorm also houses some 30+ beds which is a touch excessive. The bunks are solidly built though which is nice. There is potential here though as the location and size hints at something better.
